Why has North Korea stopped talking to South Korea?
"We should probably acknowledge upfront. The North Korea throwing a massive tantrum about something or other is as shocking headlines. Go up there with Sun rises. The Democratic People's Republic is indeed readily imagine as a vast fortified Kat. It's missile launchers as angrily flung toys, its occupant, a child who's upbringing was rarely punctuated by the. None. So this week's announcement that north. Korea has abruptly severed all communications with South Korea may seem like no big deal. It may even be no big deal, and yes, these caveats are being inserted up the top, just in case North Korea just as abruptly decided to end it sulk while this explaining is still current. At issue? This time is the pretty long standing practice of defectors who have fled North Korea for. South Korea and activists sympathetic to them of drifting balloons across the inaccurately named demilitarized zone which separates the two countries. The balloons generally carry anti-regime messages, but also also born chocolate bars, US dollar notes and advertisements for the joys and benefits of treacherous, warm, mugging capitalist revisionism. She never. We have made a miniature version of the New Testament and we are sending these over by using balloons. Last year, we sent about sixty thousand copies disabled. We're going to send about seventy thousand copies. To. Don Those pudding recently that. To. In fairness to North Korea, which is not a phrase. One authors often. North Korea does have a case. If your neighbor continually floated blimps over your share fence, which scattered pamphlets declaring that you'll loan was tatty in your bird box was ugly. You'd likely scratch them off your Christmas card list as well. There's also the fact that until as recently as two thousand eighteen. South Korea operated immense banks of loudspeakers along the border which broadcast among other things deafening decibels of K pop into North Korea. In this specific context, the keeping of Kim Jong Hoon thumb off. The Big Red Button appears an active superhuman restraint. That aside, however North Korea has never been famous for its sense of proportion in much the same way that South Korea has never been famous for its non annoying pop music and Pyongyang's response to the balloon issue has been characteristically vituperative. Roden Sinmun the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the workers. Party of Korea and a journal which can be safely seemed to be accurately. Reflecting Pyongyang's thinking has called the balloon senders disgusting riffraff rubbish like Mongrel dogs and human scum has said that the tolerance of their behavior by South Korean authorities has aroused out dismay that one may have lost a few degrees of each and translation and menaced vote. showed them how much price they out to be forced to pay for hurting the holiest. And emotions of our people. There's yards more of this sort of stuff if you're a bit start for distraction. The practical implications of North Korea's latest strop as follows the twice daily calls to the Cross Board Liaison Office in the border city of case Song will cease. No more balling sniffling puppet of American imperial thuggery. How's IT hanging? The channels which allowed the military's of the two Koreas to communicate with each other will also be closed. These strategic upshot of all this from north. Korea's perspective is a little hard to glean. The balloon offensive is not new indeed has been going on for a while. North Korea is clearly choosing to make a thing of it, and as invariably the case with people prone to making a thing of things. If it wasn't this, it'd be something else. In this instance, the significant aspects may not be so much the what as the WHO, or whom whichever is correct, one of the signatures on the new no speaks policy. Was that of Kim Yo Jong increasingly prominent sister of Kim Jong UN, long thought of as a sort of executive assistant to her brother. These last few months have seen Commute Jong increasingly framed as a policymaker, and perhaps given the recurrent speculation about Kim Jong UN's health, they future leader North Korea may be trying to get North Koreans and the rest of the world used to her. And all this could be a pretty standard north. Korean play create. Crisis Demaim concession declare victory, and it's a standard play because it works in diplomacy is in life, the reasonable often defer to the unreasonable as long as it will persuade them to shut up. South Korea has already and with an

Wherever you're listening? It really does help for our first six episodes we're starting with a bang As we explore the lives of World War. Two's three worst dictators Benito Mussolini Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler. Today today we'll see how Mussalini harness disparate social elements such as socialism nationalism and future ISM to forge a new belief leave system fascism. This hateful ideology would be his chief tool in portraying himself as the ideal Italian man Dan and it would go on to inspire an even greater evil next week. We'll see how an alliance with that greater evil no not see Germany led to Mussolini's downfall. Mussolini is often thought of as Hitler's incompetent lackey his fellow fascist. Who Lost the war in Italy and died a day earlier on April twenty eighth nineteen forty-five his body hung the square and spit upon? But that is the modern perception in his time. Mussalini was considered a swashbuckling heartthrob heartthrob a master politician. He rose to power in Italy years. Before Hitler became the face of totalitarianism despite destroying civil liberties in his country and exiling thousands of Italian Jews to concentration camps Mussolini's people loved him mm-hmm and some still do. But how could the people of any time view a monster in such a romantic light and how has there's his global reputation fallen from that of the ultimate leader to the ultimate stooge in order to answer these questions. We must trace Mussalini his time as a socialist agitator in Switzerland to his years as a newspaper man to his crafty rise to prime minister. Aw Mussolini's entire life was a self defeating journey to fulfil a masculine ideal. He was born on July twenty ninth. Eighteen eighty three his father allesandro. Mussolini was his first role model. According to Spark Educational Mussalini once told a reporter after I come of peasant stock. My father was a blacksmith. He gave me strength. A young Mussalini would work the forge with his father sweat dripping sparks Sinjin. His skin researcher Andrea Son Giovanni describes the traditional image of Italian steelwork doc as a completely masculine world where the natural characteristics of man strength courage leadership honor aggression are praised to excess. Mussolini picked up on this learning to be strong to a fault to express only the most dominant reported himself. He was taught that a man worked hard that he and his father were the laboring peasantry and across the country in Rome there was was a king and a church that reaped the benefits of their labor and didn't work at all even worse. There were Austrian kings to the north who ruled old overland and people that were rightfully Italian. Young Mussalini imagine these rulers like fantasy despots almost inhuman every day at the forge. His father filled his mind with ideas about a revolution of workers just like them. Men like them mm-hmm strong workers who made up the real Italy. who would one day inherit the earth? Mussalini loved his father and he wanted nothing. Nothing more than to live up to these ideals. This belief system socialism with a little bit of nationalism would entrance and beguile him and throughout the rest of his life but as much as he admired his father he was also confused by him he talked about strengthened honor but but Mussalini gradually became aware that allesandro didn't exactly personify those things his father's main focus in life life was not on his work or his family but his mistress who we often spend money on while Mussalini his two siblings and his mother lived in a small home eating very basic meals this engendered toxic dichotomy within the young boy. He had a father telling him how to who act like a man but had no strong male role model to actually show him what that looks like and so he would spend his life trying to decide for himself. Mm Self how a man should act while nursing a selfish streak that would topple a republic because of his own father wasn't going to look out for for the young Mussolini and who would. His mother noticed growing anger inside of him in eighteen. Ninety Ninety two when Mussolini was nine she sent him to Catholic Boarding School in the hopes that the priests would be able to calm him. The opposite was true. To the Catholics were largely anti-socialists they took out their political beliefs on miscellany the son of a socialist this included withholding ending food from him and forcing him to sleep in the dog Kennel. His selfish streak deepened as he felt that truly the whole world was out out to get him at the same time. Some of the masculine ideals he had picked up from his father were being reinforced. Catholic doctrine emphasized is the differences between men and women how men were meant to be masculine leaders and Women Feminine Mothers. This idea was driven home by the simple fact that it was an all boys. School with male only teachers Mussolini's growing toxic masculinity famously boiled over one Sunday in the school yard when Mussolini stabbed a classmate in the hand and so his picture of the ideal man continued to fill out the ideal man was a strong hard worker like his dad had taught him but as he had picked up from Catholic school. Aggression was a vital a piece to the puzzle. He would never forget how the anti-socialist priests had treated him there pettiness. There need to exert control all over. A child was anything but masculine.

Kim Jong Un says North Korea no longer bound by nuclear test moratorium
"North Korean leader Kim Jong hoon says he's ending the moratorium on nuclear an intercontinental ballistic missile tests threatening a demonstration of a new strategic weapon president trump responded by calling him a man of his word and that they had a contract CBS news contributor Isaac stone fish I think we should see it as Kim trying to assert himself and trying to communicate to the trump administration that North Korea despite being a desperately poor country has options and does have some power and leverage over the trump administration at the same time it's not something that average American should be
Dissecting Trump's Twitter 'Diplomacy'
"Their Israeli for better unusually for worse no more enthusiastic proponent of twitter diplomacy in US President Donald Trump joining us now to dissect a representative few of trump's interestingly punctuated blurts. Is Brian Close political scientist. I author and Washington Post columnist by way of imbuing trump's tweets with a finesse. The ill deserve. They are read by foreign desk producer. You'll engulf on any and all grammatical infelicitous of the fault of the author not the narrator September fifteenth two thousand nineteen mystery missiles target. Saudi oilfields Saudi Arabia. Oil Supply was attacked. There's reason to believe that we know the culprit are locked and loaded depending on verification but are waiting to hear from the kingdom as to who they believe was the cause of this attack and under what terms we would proceed. This is amazing tweet because this is the second time that Donald Trump has issues locked and loaded. The first was when he was saying that he was about to attack North Korea. And it just shows you know the twitter diplomacy made on the fly where nobody believes what trump obsess anymore. You know that He. He is a saying who's behind the attack. People are questioning that and then you have. This claim that he's about to attack them which people again are questioning with good reason that his twitter threats are increasingly erratic and also unfounded and never backed up October. First two thousand seventeen reaching out to Kim Kim Jong UN being nasty Rotman hasn't worked in twenty five years. Why would it work now? Clinton failed. Bush failed and Obama failed. I won't fail. I love this tweet. For several reasons I is that he's has been nice to rocket man hasn't worked in twenty five years. Kim Jung took office in two thousand eleven. So penalized him when he was a child probably wasn't going to be a very fruitful way of conducting diplomacy anyway Clinton and Bush of course did not even deal with Kim Jong into any point and then the second layer of this of course is saying that being nice to him hasn't worked it won't work now. Well trump said that he was in love with Kim Jong Hoon after this tweet so I would classify that as being nice and then finally. I won't fail well. I mean what's happened. Since trump's multiple summits with Kim Jong is that Kim has gotten a massive boost international national profile and legitimacy by meeting with President without any preconditions and has simaltaneously ramped up the missile program and the nuclear capability which is the only point of involving involving Kim Jong UN and diplomacy so there are many many problems that tweets but my favorite one is the idea that trying to have diplomatic relations with a three year. Old Somehow didn't work. July thirtieth two thousand nineteen trade wars are good apparently and easy to win. China is doing very badly worst year in twenty seven was supposed supposed to start buying our agricultural product now no signs that they are doing so that is the problem with China they just don't come through. Our economy has become much much larger than the Chinese economy is last three years. Where do you start with the stuff of it? The idea that the US economy has eclipsed the Chinese economy in the last three years because because of trump is an amazing claim. And then the other thing. That's sort of unspoken this tweet but if you know trump's tweets really jumps out to you is the number of times that he contradicts himself so he constantly says things on twitter like China has just announced that they are going to be buying massive amounts of soybean from a great Patriot farmers and then a week or two who later. He has this tweet where he says. Effectively they're not actually doing it and then he'll come back and make the same claim again and so it's this sort of whiplash that twitter allows him to get away with because his base. Here's this they think okay China's now going to buy some soybeans well. The people in his twitter base are not the people who are actually selling soybeans. So they don't know if it's happened and they believe him and he can get away with it and this is where I think. Twitter diplomacy also bleeds into domestic politics. Where you end up having a lack lack of accountability because you can just shoot off a claim everybody moves on and then it's like it never happened when it's false? I think that the trade war stuff though is also indicative of how miscalculation can be very dangerous because China is actually reading these tweets trying to make not just sense of them but make policy based on them and they have no idea what it means. I mean it's riddled with Typos and grammatical errors. And then you know. They're they're scratching their their chins sort of saying will two weeks ago. He seemed to be happy with President. Then she now he's not and this causes again. Miscalculation which is I think the name of the game for twitter diplomacy July eighth two thousand nineteen some thoughts on Brexit and on the. UK's outgoing going. I'm blessed to the. US have been very critical about the way the UK and Prime Minister Theresa May Handle Brexit. What a mess? She and her representatives have created. I told her how it should be done but she decided to go another way. I didn't know the ambassador but he's not liked or well within the US we will no longer deal with him. The good news for the wonderful United Kingdom is that they will soon have a new prime minister. While I thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent state visit last month it was the queen who I was most impressed with so this tweet I think unveil some of the other problems with twitter when it comes to diplomacy and that is that statements of national importance is can be made without vetting. You know if there was actually communicate from the White House in the past this would have gone through a series of different advisors it would have been checked and the first instance in which trump trump tweeted about theresa. May He misspelled her name and accidentally tagged somebody with I believe one hundred sixty twitter followers. So you know. It's not exactly a crack team at the White House when it comes comes to twitter but then beyond this when he says she didn't go the way that I said what he's actually talking about according to the UK government is his suggestions that she sued the the European European Union as a way to solve brexit which his maybe it's ludicrous it's idiocy it's not going to work and then you have sort of the basic ignorance that comes out of these types of tweets. Were win actually. Trump arrives in the UK and gets pressed on various tweets though ask him questions and the followup about say is the NHS on the table the National Health Service on table in trade negotiations and he doesn't know what it is and this is again. You know this is the problem when you can make a statement you interfere in the affairs or politics of an allied country country and have no idea what. You're talking about October sixteenth two thousand eighteen taking Saudi Arabia's word for it just spoke with the Grand Prince of Saudi Arabia who totally denied any knowledge of what took place in their Turkish consulate. He was with Secretary of State. Mike Pompeo during the call and told me that he has already started and will rapidly. Expand fanned a full and complete investigation into this matter. Answers will be forthcoming shortly. This is of course about Jamal Kashogi who's a fellow columnists the Washington Post just before he was murdered and dismembered by the Saudi government which then led to a series of attempted cover ups by the Saudi government's with trump's help where he tried to sweep it under the rug. And and say you know they don't know anything about it and provide political cover to the Saudis and I think you know. This is the dark side of twitter where you can very quickly spread. What is clearly misinformation in pursuit of diplomatic relationship where trump clearly values for a variety of reasons whether it's strategic reasons or his financial conflicts of interest with the Saudi Kingdom? And you know a different president a pre twitter era first off would not have made the statement and secondly would have waited till the facts came out before staking the credibility of the White House on something something that was going to be very quickly debunked. I mean one of the famous examples during the Kashogi investigation was the idea that he had left the consulate. When the Saudis put a body double in clothes it was similar to Shoji's but forgot to change his shoes I mean it was amateur hour and for the US president in the White House to be affiliated with it because of such sporadic in a quick quick tweets was just embarrassing for the credibility of the United States August? Twenty of two thousand nine hundred an attempt at humor accompanied by a mockup of a trump trump casino on the Tundra. I promise not to do this degree land so this is a a photo shopped photo of trump property a trump hotel in greenland amongst a sort of sparse looking fishing village. And I think this is well is one of those moments where you have trump make a comment in the sort of real oh world right off off of cyberspace where he says. Maybe we'll buy greenland and then it sparks. This whole controversy of how Silva's claim is this proposal etc and and then he tries to make light of it as though it was a joke to begin with on twitter. But I think that this is also important in highlighting the risks of twitter in terms of photoshop or doctored images and trump did this with greenland as joke and there was obviously a joke. But there's other times where he's done and hasn't been a joke so he has sent tweets where they have basically doctored video video of Jim Acosta the CNN reporter who was temporarily banned from the White House looking more aggressive than he was because they speed it up his arm movement yeah right and this went throughout the conservative twitter sphere. Very very quickly. You can imagine something like that happening in diplomacy to. That's the big risk is that as deep technology for example fake videos that look very convincing or photo shopped images or any sort of disinformation campaign actually gets promoted by governments and by presidents presidents. That's where we answered very very dangerous territory and this type of stuff. I mean again when you think about the combination of Dr Video doctored images all being promoted by trump trump with no regard for the facts and the lack of credibility that he already has how much more dangerous it gets when you try to make sense of as a foreign diplomat Brian. Close thank you

"Trajectory of just a few months ago he's calling them little rocket man and kim jong hoon is calling trump card or whatever the word i mean they're going at each other and now they're sitting there shaking hands and smack each other on the back and kim jong un might just take a path that will save his country and of course you know the the trump haters are all into this whole muck of well why is trump saying good things about kim jong un bret baier talked to trump the president on air force one and wanted to know about you know the mur in the end kim jong is a murderous dictator we know that the certainly the president knows that shamming kim wants to solve the problem we have a very i really say for for fairly short term relationship because it was unbelievably hostile rhetoric rhetorically it was unbelievably hostile and i think we have a very good relationship we understand each other people sometimes killers killer he's executing people hey when you take over a country tough gut people and you take it over from your father i don't care who you are what you are how much of an advantage you have if you can do that at twenty seven years old i mean that's one in ten thousand that could do so he's a very smart guy a great negotiator i think we understand each other body me still some done some really bad how much of a lot of other people then some really bad things i mean i could go through a lot of nations where a lot of bad things were done you know the president said something the other day it was a quick shout by it was a quick aside but it it resonated with me he he and he's used this phrase before where he says this is basically the hand we've been dealt it's just what it is you know the the the cliche it is what it is but the president it applies that to kim jong un he can't change the past he can't undo what kim jong un has done it to christians to women to to his critics to his family members due to his people.

"Case when he says it now we could sleep easily that the the issue is more or less behind us these are commitments on paper which is a vague statement probably bid vaguely then we would have hoped but one that commits to denuclearization that commits to a better relationship between the two countries but again the question is what is what comes next you know the hard part has not been done this was in a way the easy part not bad that the two leaders have a personal connection i think again is in typical trump style there's been a hyping up of of kim jong hoon and praising him for more than he deserves since he doesn't deserve much praise at all but i think now the the question is the to get to the table try to work out something that's going to actually start clawing back north korea's nuclear program the idea of full denuclearization i admit i'm still extremely skeptical that this north korean regime will do it when it spent decades building a program that it believes his critics it's national security and to regime survival but there are other very significant steps that north korea could take to begin to curb its program to completely freeze it and to allow monitors and and people to come into verify what exists and what they're doing to curb it rich have we given up anything important here we talked last week about what deliverables might come out of this and i had expressed my hope that we would sort of get stasis which is to say that they would say something vague and i didn't expect any significant concessions from them but i thought that we also wouldn't make any and i look at the agreement and i don't see any from us in the agreement but then i look at the things that president trump said around the signing of the agreement talking about his desire to get troops out of south korea some things that i think could be interpreted as signals by the russians and the chinese that they can ease off on sanctions and so i.

"In some twitter plaudits to a guy who runs death camps in stars country that's a bad thing and i think trump should be criticized for that if when he does that kim jong hoon is not your bff all right let's talk about some healthcare news last week the trump administration's justice department said it would no longer defend the affordable care act in court specifically the part of the law that protects up to one hundred and thirty million americans with pre existing conditions from being denied coverage by insurance companies the justice department took the position as part of a case in which texas and nineteen other conservative attorney general attorneys general challenging the affordable care act is unconstitutional we're going to talk about what an unusual and dramatic step this is by the justice department with our guest don really whose job it was to defend the aca to the supreme court when he was a bama solicitor general but i thought you and i should talk about sort of the political aspects of this story i first of all just another example of how unbelievably awful just jeff sessions is turning general there was this decision that happened came out on thursday night today on monday jeff sessions by the way also decided that the united states will no longer grant asylum to victims of domestic violence or gang violence that those will no longer be categories by which we look to people coming here from other countries fleeing violence and say we will grant you asylum which is just beyond despicable to me and we should just take a second to talk about that before we get back to the healthcare thing it is it runs so counter to who we as americans at least thought we were prior to this moment that it is it is sickening and i think it is a reminder and i don't wanna get overly dark here.

"The best interests of kim jong hoon and you know we've gone through all the the the different scenarios aaron when people were getting extremely excited about it we said well we'll we'll we'll we'll calm down calm down if you know the history of north korea kim jong hoon kim jong il his his father you know that lots of promises are made lots of overtures are made as if they're willing to negotiate and then they pull it back so as we were stating before people wish to award the president the nobel peace prize for ending the war you know completely unless you have a deal and verification and the actual dismantling of the the nuclear sites well then you don't have anything with with north korea's we've said the policy with them is don't trust and verify this could all work out in the end but as we've said you with a kim jong hoon what is his motivation his motivation is not to become a democratic society because at that point he would be overthrown and he would be put in jail and he would be eventually executed for committing crimes against you you the the against humanity for the things that he has done so he's not going to give that up so what is what does he want he wants to remain empower and he wants to help solidify his base by approving his economy a little bit not a lot but just a little bit and so how does he get to that particular point are that's his self interest are self interest is to denuclearize them i r i self interest is not for a free north korea because that's not a possibility right now it's denuclearized them so how do you get to that particular point you get to that particular point by saying if you do denuclearize than we will offer you this which means he stays in power and that's just that's the deal that you you have to make because the first thing that you're concerned about is getting the nukes away from him now is he actually willing to give up his nukes many people including those inside the administration i'm sure including people like john bolton are very suspicious as to whether he really wishes to get rid of them right so we said before every you.

"To the broadcast the tomase to me how you can have a plane laid out in finalising today's rundown and i'm trying to i always try to look for something positive to share at the top of the broadcast in fact my intention was to talk about the wonderful developments apparently with north korea they have blown up one of these tunnels they've been using for nuclear testing but that story has now been displaced by new developments which is not a good one just a few minutes ago the president has announced he has cancelled the singapore summit with north korean leader kim jong hoon it is canceled previously scheduled for next month june the twelfth just a few weeks from now this would been the first facetoface encounter between the sitting us president and a north korean leader history that will not happen now the meaning is referenced in a letter to kim jong hoon released this morning sadly based on the tremendous anger at open hostility displayed in your most recent statement i feel it's inappropriate at this time to have this long planned meeting that is what has been communicated now as i mentioned this news came as north korea made a show of dismantling nuclear test site but also the heels some sharp words from the north korean government about american demands regarding denuclearization there have been doubts growing recent days about whether the summit would actually happen north korea briefly cancelled talks with south korea angry about joint military test with us in the korean peninsula much of this letter was written in conciliatory terms including praise for north korea's recent release of three american prisoners president also appeared to issue a threat they've conjured memories of his war of words with kim last year you talk about your nuclear capabilities but ours are so massive and powerful i pray to god they will never have to be used.

"This conversation this comment that he made yesterday and it was all about how kim jong hoon he would be very protected and north korea would be incredibly prosperous if kim jong un not only showed up for the meeting but also denuclearized because that's what this is all about and we know this now for kim jong un last week you may remember the story he made a big deal about one basically taking apart this nuclear manufacturing installation he's you know doing whatever they do tearing it down this nuclear installation where they were manufacturing all of the various and sundry things they gotta do to come up with their nuclear weapons and what he did is he just started taking the whole thing apart and so then he invited the media to come out and take a look at what exactly it is that he's doing and i i understand why kim jong is doing that the reason why he's doing that is because of the fact that he's trying to prove to somebody that he's really serious about denuclearizing but the problem is and we know this because we've been down this road before with this guy you can't trust this guy first of all the question i would have is can anybody really trust kim jong hoon if we don't have access to every square inch of north korea not only the surface but also they've got all of these i'm assuming all of these underground installations as well so i think i if wound decides that he's not going to meet with president trump and again the president says you know maybe it'll happen maybe it won't for the president to continue to play hardball with kim jong hoon is the smartest thing he can do because we know that is what got this guy to the table in the first place the other thing that i really like in this is don't underplay this don't don't downplay this aspect of it we know that for the president there have been a lot of people that have been saying you know he really deserves the nobel peace prize if he can get kim jong under the table and have a conversation and ultimately convinced kim jong hoon to denuclearize so there's a lot of people that are saying that the president.

"Give him a nobel peace prize already and the left is saying he has nothing to do with it it's all moon angie zhang ping but of course the truth is right there in the middle and if he does negotiate a minister if he does negotiate and they do come out with the deal where kim jong hoon is promised to denuclearize give them in nobelpeaceprize i mean why did obama even get one obama didn't deserve one allama totally different this is apples and oranges here well the apple is that obama much of folks over five thousand with drone war and if if trump actually denuclearize north korea that's the definition of in being deserving or deserving of nobelpeaceprize it'll be crazy it would be one of the strangest things of all time if this man bows receive something like this but nonetheless i think that would be deserving but why donald trump instead of moon or a she she should pink jingping they should all go on you can you do that peace prizes man they're all they're they're giving them away giving them away you know the nobel peace prize here's you know what man i read laffy taffy and i read popsicle sticks as well you man who created the nobel peace prize what he did he created dynamite and he felt so bad about ember that towards his final years he said i'm going to create a metal piece but he did not like the way that people use dynamite i mean that happens again and again those guys the guys who helped create the nuclear bomb hey listen you need to be careful because you know we could destroy like a whole city if we don't do this right did you ever think we intimated in the first place seem thing i think about.

"Have would i'm making any judgments here i'm asking the question based so far on the response of kim jong hoon isn't that is that the message it's been communicated a to him brian has the message been communicated get in line or we will destroy you the care for your people and and and and we want to see you if we're going to open up trade again and lift sanctions we want to make sure that you're taking care of your people properly basically what they want him to do is keep quiet he can remain control but he doesn't want to go you know but they they certainly don't want to fall they don't they don't want to go to war for a number of reasons but you brought up a good point about war crimes because what could happen ultimately this this is entire thing of of people that propose there should be one korea right you know the korea should get back together should be one korea again a free korea well that's not going to have kim jong hoon doesn't want that because a three korean a democratic korea means what that that he probably goes to the international court for crimes against humanity so we know it's not going to go that far.

"These suspension nuclear tests and missiles if it had been hillary clinton the white house i don't think we'd be anywhere near near this for long and it's my true belief that kim jong hoon but we have to see what verifies again the north koreans have lied many times in the past it is my belief though that kim jong hoon is scared of trump and the trump is such a a card and he's just a whole different animal that it could actually scare north korea straight because kim jong hoon doesn't want to die and trump would go after kim il there's there's no doubt in my mind so here we are the question is does trump knows something that we don't know and i'll tell you why does trump have a different definition of denuclearization then others or is trump mistaken in his presentation of what north korea is offering again we don't know but i give advantage to trump here because it's just a whole different kind of white house folks the good the bad ugly in this case trump might be you're crazy enough or perceived as crazy enough and as loose cannon it's enough to knock north korea into a compliance or a revel gate a revocation of of some of their programs i mean it's totally possible now twitter diplomacy i can't ignore what's being described as twitter diplomacy could it get you into trouble could again we just don't know trust anything north korea says at face value but we're seeing movement here where.
