Kim Jones on the Making of Air Dior

"It's been a crazy. Eight months herself is being crazy as being busy. Yeah and i've appreciated time at home and being able to have time to myself. Reflect more of john when you were say a lot of time to research the excited about a very eventful few months but today we're here to talk about sneakers. what makes an amazing sneaker. And what makes an amazing sneaker launch air. Dior or shoe which we have right here. It's like the most sought after sneaker in the world right now. yeah. I've been scouring the internet to kind of see what people are saying and how much they cost and you know it's crazy how quickly they've accelerated price. I wanted to start with your own relationship with sneakers because it goes back a long time. This is not a trend. You just jumped on. I mean most people who know me know that i started out working at a company called gimme five whereas college but before that when a student also at school nyc for me was the absolute must have an odd save off and dish. Dishwasher governed by pair of sneakers and people have michael jordan with the heroes and just everyone was wearing sneakers. Me and my friends would chip into bypass to share them and share parents of have jordan. Fives that were on. Discount in place in brighton that we bought a we went and three as on them now. Forty five pounds and we chipped by them and then we take them in terms of obviously make sure no one stood on them and sick have never allowed to go out anywhere teaching them and it was just you. Nuts is the design. It was just like it was a cult thing. It became colton. You know we both got these which the first one of the first has jordan's in the white and gray which is the basis for the ed your and the ideal thing was really dickel t and i've had a contract with nike for quite few years. And then they taught me about being jordan. And as i really love to do with your because they've never done and luxury house with georgian collaborations. I would take italian at you know jordan with the dior factories and really make something special and exciting. And it's really you know it was solid. Where do you want jordan's that was really how it started as bit selfish so before we get into the actual kind of design of the shoe. Because i think there's a lot of thought that goes into that. Of course the jordan one for the uninitiated amongst us. I think sneaker has called it the aj one. Why is that such an important shoe. Silhouette i think is just such design. Classic infamy you does periods in history. Whether it's been shoes. Come out like this on the air. Max ninety five that just speak to people and they speak to a generation of people for me. I didn't have the original pair of these because they a bit too young for them and they really out of my price range and they weren't so easy to get the uk. And then as i started going to japan as i graduated i started collecting fares what i think the first bought seven bucks in a flea market and then to visit a friend where does student and that was kind of to shake shaking. You just they just become infectious shots at me. Now you just love to design it so joining a club. I guess so. When you're thinking about designing a shoe that has to balance effectively three different brands right. Young jordan has its own brand completely new operated separately with its own team. Then there's night key which obviously is like gave birth to the jordan. There's there's three iconic brands so when you're when you're when you're designing a shoe and you have to balance the dna. Three brees was really like we need to netflix. Because that's one of the criterias of deal is significant advance. We knew the letter had to be sourced. We knew we wanted to have the finishings. Made like bag would be made. So you have the edge painting. You have the way that things are hand finished in the sewing. The oblique here is made specific size just the jordan and it scaled per size of georgian. And you have again. You have on the tongue which is a new technique that we developed an inside the leather so units inside which they did have the normal jordan and inside. I have the numbers or these are the ones from the miami share. Whichever forty has them and really making them for people that would appreciate something and understand the croft now in consumption when you talked about fashion. I'm very aware of numbers and craft being important people. I think young people are learning by nets and they won't buy things last longer for me. Doing things like this was something being a limited number of things but it's creates excitement. There were only thirteen. Thousand pairs of shoes made but there's also a whole bunch of other skews in the collection which may be the as much. Yeah i mean. We've mentioned what we michael jordan's wore jay. But he was because he was the coolest guy and it was like he will seats all the time and we were looking at we made of his clothes and then we had to call them present it all to him which was kind of because he sees everything can approves everything jordan. What was that like. I mean he was super lovely. And i get in chicago. We went to do the don't it was like. I was really impressed that he was to be honest. That's the cage stream isn't it. I guess it was. He was just radiant. He's and you want to keep them the stuff so we can keep it and travis was there and he was reading into it so you know promise travis he'd be one of the people have it and it was just it was. It was an appreciation for each other. That was the thing that was nice about. What did you have to see to the powers that via d. or to get them. I mean they've never done nothing like that. I had to piatra use my ceo and we have extremely good relationship. And i was like. I really want to do this. What you think it nina. He's in his twenties and he was thought it was cool idea who grew up here as per say that was pretty easy to do in nyc. Nike was little bit but then they got into. It was his reading managing expectations of everybody in the right

"But not everyone would do what Tom Smith did. I thought, I think I heard him. I believe it was with Moose and Maggie fairly recently on the fan. I think I'm right about that. I may not be, but I think I am and it was a great interview by them, and he did a great job. Every time I've seen something from him. It's been positive. I think when you are running an organization, even if you're running a company, but we're talking about Ah Sports organization, A baseball team. I think you have to think not twice but 15 times before you let someone like that go. Someone who sets that kind of a joyful tone. Now don't misunderstand me. That alone isn't enough. You can't walk around like Santa, giving out gifts and lollipops and dancing through a clubhouse and make a team. That's not my point. But when you can play the game, whatever game that is that we're talking about. In this case, baseball. And you also are a positive presence all of the time. That to me would be worth an awful lot. And I would think again. I would think multiple multiple times before simply trading that guy, and that's why I said that last year on the fan, and I feel at least this strongly about it now, at least to strongly about it now flew in a story if you're still there, your next up. What's up? Hi, Lou. Welcome back when it's going to have a real baseball tonight and well exhibition, But you know, baseball is good because everybody wants to hear and they want to win, no matter what it is agreed, but It's big of. Ah, Gary called. He was mentioning He's one to watch. But You know, I know you guys were going to tell the world he hasn't played but stuff. Watch. Wait Blue. Lou. Hold on. Hold on. Say then Say who you're talking about again. I'm sorry, Mr Harry. Call this watch. I don't know how to pick it. Yeah, Very cool. Very cool. I apologize. I apologize. I was thinking that I would never. I don't remember the last time we had a picture with the magnitude. It's going to be on it, but it's terrific now. Thinking about clean fresh. You put up a good point. What does he remind you ofthe play they used to play for the Mets are about the same age that the media got all over him. And really kills their career. Limburg. Every You know that he came in and he wanted to. He was a great, great player. And But you know one thing. I mean, he He wrote a letter. Well, they picked on him like crazy anyway. But right until you had a great fugitive, clean. Fresh is a hell of a player. But the media here they even what's missing information at all. You know he's not playing with the team or playing regular because, well, his beginning that people made a big issue out of it. You know his change, and he and he came back. But I really think that the pressures you know, it's nothing wrong with a guy I think is just a good human being against like, you know, you know people took him like they didn't want to get ahead cut. It was, you know, like he owned the team, but I don't think the way you say it is a great great player loosened so much for the call. Thank you very much for the cult. Listen. They're not all great players, and they can't all be renegades. My point with Clint Frazier was, I just don't think the guy's done. That much that that I would consider him to be some controversial guy. I mean, I sometimes think that we You know, story lines just kind of fit and we go with, um I mean, I mean again, you know, and no one's convinced me otherwise yet you could try on I'm open to it, but I just I see a guy that maybe doesn't a little differently than some. I mean, we don't want them to also be robots, do we? I don't think we do. I don't. I know I don't. I also don't have problems with people who have big personalities would be hypocritical if I did, but I don't. I don't have an issue with that in athletes or in people I meet or whatever the case might be here on the fan. Obviously, we're talking about sports figures. I don't have a problem with that. Sometimes they bring more scrutiny on to themselves, and they have to understand that they have to understand that they're making their way and they're way includes some extra attention, which can be both good and bad. They have to understand that In and of itself. I certainly don't want every player to be, you know. You know, incredibly quiet and reserved and, you know, checks every box in terms of getting, you know, doing his stuff, and he's accountable and everything else but You know does never give us any, You know, flair or personality. I I don't want my gosh, I don't want that. A lot of those guys are fun. They certainly give us plenty of headlines in and room to write and talk. And that's why we're talking about Clint Frazier. Right? So I think, Lou for that call, we're going to take a break. We will come back and Mets talk very much looking forward to this. I promise you, I guarantee you 100%. My first question will be about the player who's bobble head. I have Kim Jones coming back on the fan after this Geico presents quick ways to change your life. Are you having a difficult time finding domestically made.

"And I think a question I would have about it would be this I think Gary Sanchez is 27. Now he's been in the organization since he was 16. So he's been in the organization along time. I would love to know. And if I missed it, I know one of you. Good colors will tell me what was the origin of changing the stance now? And if it does turn out to be so effective, you know, we may rightly ask, boy, you know, I wonder what you know me asking myself. I wonder what would have happened if they would have Done this sooner. It certainly seems like a stance to which Gary Sanchez has acclimated very well to so obviously we know it's important that these pictures have great confidence in Gary behind the plate. The idea that they can throw that nasty breaking ball and he's going to block it. We understand his problems from years past, but perhaps now, Gary Sanchez really on on that that that high arc To completely fulfill his potential, which has always been so great. I mean, if I can remember a player in the system and I left the Yes network after the 11 season, that player's been around an awfully long time, and that include that. That's what Gary Sanchez is. He is someone who's been around an awfully long time. And maybe maybe, especially defensively, maybe his best baseball's ahead of them. Boy, Wouldn't that be something? With the Yankees hope that's the case. I know that. But that stance last night, you know, caught all of our I's and obviously the announcers on Yes, we're talking about it as well. So interesting to me. It did seem like Sanchez and Cole communicate well. Cole does not come across at least in these initial stages as sort of a high What's the word? I'm looking for? A needy is not the word, but, you know, high maintenance guy. That's what I'm looking for High maintenance. He doesn't come across that way. Ah, and I think that's a really good thing. I think it's a really good thing. Look void to me stuck out. Doesn't he look cleaner like considerably leaner? I thought Luke void looked as good as we've seen him. Again. You guys will correct me or not, But I also think I watched the Clint Frazier I assume it was a zoom session. Talking about wearing the mask, talking about how that's not been well received by some on social media, Obviously others on social media I have to believe, you know, have applauded him for it. I really liked. His manner in describing that he kind of had a smile on his face the whole time and and said, Hey, it's my decision. You know, Teammates need to, you know me and my teammates need to stay safe. But he he he seemed I'm very comfortable in his own skin. And and that also might be a player that we're seeing growing up a little bit, although the whole like here's one thing that's confounded me for a while, and I did actually look yesterday to see what I was really missing. This whole idea. You know Clint Frazier controversial, Like, really. Cause he is, you know? Well, it certainly can't because he has red hair. But because he has, you know a little bit of hair because he You need a hair cut at one point. I just I don't you know, and I understand, he said some things and everything but controversial. I don't know. I don't know. I think sometimes we're a little bit too dramatic with these guys, especially young players who are still going into the player. And person they're going to be. You know, he ended up saying and this I really liked and I know I have to take a break. But this from Frasier, I really liked that they played last night on the broadcast as faras the maturity thing, he said. A lot of people have said things about me who really don't know me. It doesn't affect me if they think I'm growing, I'm growing up. And then he essentially said, I guess that's a positive. He's also had a lot of injuries. The concussion most noteworthy and most distressing, although he seems to be over all of that, But you know, don't we sometimes exaggerate this stuff a little bit. I mean, in the big scheme of things you're gonna have to really convinced me that Clint Frazier somehow been controversial. And maybe you will. Maybe you will. We'll see how that goes. This is Kim Jones. By the way, I am coming to you from my home. I hope it sounds good. I know that you folks who are always honest with me as I am with you. I know you will let me know if it does not. And I appreciate that about you. We're going to take a break. We're going to talk with my buddy Mark. Find sand, A K sandy from MLB Network and then After the after at about Ah, in about 23 minutes. We will open up two phones for the first time I get to talk to all of you. "Right Joe judge hasn't coached him yet it's it's a big a big question so I do think that that's something the giants are going to have to controversial Jamaican could make a choice and that I think right now it's a difficult one would be great and I thought it would be a couple months ago and I are on the same page they're difficult spot there it's not as difficult well it's a difficult period but the free agent right now is in a really difficult spot but the rehabbing athlete player is also in a very difficult spot overall Jennifer at the building you know I mean they were really the only ones were allowed in place so yes the thing is is that Joe judge and all his new coaching staff the guys that they've met the most are the guys who were rehabbing and so maybe having room with this time there is kind of Ford some bonds with some of the houses that are in there but it's certainly something that like I said he he should be you know when you're talking about playmakers of the tight end position he should be a top ten guy in the league with upside unfortunately he's had injuries and then when you don't have L. ability is the best ability and I don't mean to throw cliche in there I'll still go to bat for everything right he can stay healthy guys who left his team and on to stay healthy and there are guys who have left his team in their injury history is continued so it's definitely something to keep an eye on Ingram is certainly a big piece of this puzzle ostensibly and if he's not healthy I don't know necessarily if Cayden Smith is going to be the the superstar that seemingly some giants fans think he's going to be off of his work the season last year speaking of staying healthy I wish that for all of you listening for everyone period for all of you listening art certainly for you and your wonderful family this worked out better than I even anticipated art and that's because you were so great so thank you so very much my thanks to Marianne Marianne for I'm sure being patient during this hour but thank you my friends stay well and we'll talk again soon Baghdad Chiquita Kim everybody stay healthy out there and we'll talk again thank you very much art Stapleton I'm Kim Jones with you for the next hour we will find ways to cover this hour and I do have a squirrel update that is on comfortable for me but I'm gonna give it to you live right here on the fan first of all my apologies to Mike McCann but he's such a great guy he won't hold it against me right now the terrific update from the terrific Mike McCann your your.

"And that kicker would be cut and a new kicker would be back in after tryouts on that tuesday and you and i know it baseball does not quite like that but man the mets need the you know i'm not on this weekend i am on tomorrow night so tomorrow night will actually have the mets game on during my show because i'm on these hours six thirty to ten if i get here at six thirty hopefully a little before today i got here very close to six thirty traffic was a nightmare if i get here tomorrow and there hasn't been some obvious change either communicated by mickey in the pre-game press conference or communicated when we all see the lineup i'm probably gonna lose my mind Probably gonna lose my mind. we'll see how that goes but i will say this too because i'm such a creature of habit right now i have a rockies game on and i don't even know what network i'm watching i think it's i'm such a creature of habit in the spring and summer i like to have yankees or mets on or sometimes flipping between the two or whatever the case might be it really bothers me when there's not a yankees or mets game to watch but i don't necessarily sit there and watch every single pitch in every single at bat but i really i liked to have the yankees and mets on in the spring and summer bothers me when we don't it feels weird that the play two games in the next what four days feels weird and they don't play today so that's five days okay seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six in the bronx what's up danny Danny. Danny. He left. Joe in brick. What's up? Joe? Now. Good. How are you? Okay. a couple of points perform points the painful midseason because my brother maybe a mention and eat died at august oh no but a lot of things you said i agree with it's not mickey's full it's totally not make his fault so let right out the season he wants out just let them get out the season but one thing he did say was about adamant of being available and i don't think he would do the same thing he would he's doing across town that he would do here 'cause look at anthony foredeck in atlanta right now Well, that's not fair to auto Vaneau. I mean he's a he's a good pitcher he might be able to have success with the Mets anybody can have success at the Mets. But it just seems to be a rarity nowadays. swertz zach sort not doing it or doing it or whatever i mean i don't i don't know about that adamant avena seems like a really capable pitcher fantasy teams capable but i mean look what's horseback did here and then shipping co. atlanta and he has just about almost the same rate as i do when i am impatient ending the season yeah i understand yeah i don't understand the auto vino swears like they're not the same person they don't share an arm that you know adamant vino was available he was obviously one of the better free agents available brodie had to make a move for the bullpen that was a capable relieve her and he didn't that would be infuriating to me if i'm jeff mcneil play with my hair on fire getting frustrated a little bit about a you know a strike strike strikeout call for by the unpire play in my tail off and then time after time at if i'm todd frazier i come through with a mammoth home run today and time after time after time these relievers get to the mound and throw up all over themselves it would drive me crazy And I'm sorry, everything I've seen from outta vino as a Yankee indicates he's a capable pitcher the Mets don't have enough of those in their bullpen. For the first time tonight, we have open phones at eight seven seven three seven sixty six sixty six get on board. I'm Kim Jones here until ten o'clock, Dan in New York City. What's up, Dan? dan yes this is dan what's that hi how are you good how are you good thanks well i have kind of a radical idea i think the metro ready for a radical plan okay and i remember the there was a seinfeld where george did everything the opposite and things started to work out i think for the mets they need to take three of their relievers lugo and basell ming and and also match maybe have them meet start two innings matt reliever but you're turning him into one well i'm trying to find to keep my reliable starters starting in the third inning and trying to get us to the end or close to the end of the game so you are going to have an opener which would be either matt's lugo or gazelle men bitching pitching two innings so for lugo he would be able to do that about once every four days exactly what he's doing know anyone that's what i'm saying by that by his current schedule that's about what you would get from him so and then you have the starter come in in the third inning exactly because the starters are really the the only hope they have yes get them to the end of the game to it maybe keep the in hope he turns it around i think he probably can but but i before they blow up the team but what would you do Yes. i would i would he'd be the one guy i just sorta hold out hope for that he could be he can turn it around Yeah. Yeah. I mean at this point. handles you know what i mean at this point light candles now they're never gonna do it but you know what and i mean this dan i give you credit for some creativity i don't mind that sort of an idea i really And I appreciate you, Dan. I do. Thank, thank you very much. I don't mind the creativity is never going to happen for many reasons. They knew they do need to get creative though, and they need to have some guts. And it's gonna probably hurt feelings but you know what right now. the mets are hanging by a thread on june twenty-seventh and that thread got a little thinner today thanks to the five runs five allowed by india's five kim jones here till ten we'll get the phones oh the phones are back good good good we got calls back i will talk to.

"Let's go to Mike in Clifton park with Kim Jones on the fan what's gone. So I heard something about a set Seth Lugo, I'm a huge fan. And what pitch it back to back games? He doesn't do. Well, and so I was thinking of, of, of a trade that would help out the bullpen. So what? So what about this? If you move Noah, and you get bullpen help and, and another bad for him. You keep Wheeler, and you move Lugo into the starting lineup what do you think? And I'll with and thanks a lot. Kim been a starter. I think right now he's much more valuable than his role. Now where if he's going to need the extra time off, you're gonna pitch him multiple innings. I think Mickey made the point last night, though that he was so economical, did he throw seventeen total pitches last night? Let me try to check that. It's always dicey when I try to online stuff and do a solo show, as you know, the dead air is priceless. Okay. I will effort that. Sorry. And I'm not online. That's how it goes. So I don't know. I think he threw seventeen pitches between the two innings last night. Is that right? Okay. Robbie. When you when you wave at me though, I think you have an answer just so you know. But that's fine. Thank you. They're trying. So if through seventeen pitches any did, thank you. So he through seventeen pitches total into innings last night. So Mickey kind of after the game insinuated, like well, we'll see because that's such an economical pitch far different than when he throws thirty five to get through two innings, obviously of the Asli. Let's go to Frank on Long Island. What's up Frank? How you doing Frank again, I think I told you to go about the thank you think the Mets within I know I was listening to you. Like you said, you think. I think. World Series issue, keys. Yeah. But do you think? I'm hoping I'm hoping I'm hoping like the, like the two thousand fifteen I listened to Bouma GIO in the morning, and boom. According to meet me. I in carton, when I'm sorry, I. But yeah, so you're hoping the Mets are in the world you're a little hope that you're right? Don't think if I think I think I think the most gonna go to if they get containable but oh, Frank. I love. Root for him when he was a Denver Bronco. Yeah. Of course, if you're just a Tibo fan overall. Yeah, I'm people fan all of all. Yeah. Okay. I don't know that. I think he's an answer for the Mets. But, but I respect the fact that you like him. Okay. And. I'm hoping you get the job. With twenty page. I mean they permanently but I guess I guess you hope I replace Tony page. Yeah, that one's a hope you're going to have to make some adjustments on my friend. Thank you, though. I really okay. Bye Tony stays up for later than I do. I'm off my goal is to be asleep when the time Tony comes on and my goal to be asleep by ten o'clock has nothing to do with Tony. But Franks good collar. He's a nice kid. I assume as a kid, but he sounds young to me. But he is he was converted nervous to his. He's called in before huge fan. He's called in before, though chose. Yeah. He's a T Bo guy. I don't I would love it. And I mean this, I would love it. If you could actually make the case that bringing Tibo to the Mets would solve even one of their issues. I really would. But I can't do it. Kim Jones with you for three more hours, taking up to Yankees pre game we're going to get back to your calls. But in a minute, we're gonna also talked to Mark fine sand coming up fairly shortly..

"I think given what I'm seeing for the Red Sox right now, if they were only a couple of games out of first place, it doesn't look like you like every team every team since the dynasty Yankees, it's been very hard to follow year coming out to the World Series. He's and this team has been no exception, so on less, there's some sort of, you know, whether it's, you know, Mookie Betts finding like an MVP again or JD Martinez just going up forty runs. They need something like that to happen to kind of shake them up. And it hasn't happened yet, but I, I would expect that game's going to have some meaning for both teams. Whether it's the Red Sox trying to get into the into the wild card of the Yankees, trying to clinch the division peop- last thing. Alex Cora, did not become a worst manager from last October until this April. Oh, you haven't read my emails. Sure Twitter has been absolutely brutal its core. I sure of that. I guess my question would be, do you know, an and this isn't about you, because, you know, everything about baseball as far as everyone. I know you are as educated on baseball as anyone. I know but does does Alex Cora have something in his bag of tricks to help turn this around, or is it beyond any of that, you know, I was thinking about this last night because over the last two years, he's kind of been baseball king bided state, E form the team for Puerto Rico that went to the road baseball client can finish in second place. You joined the Houston Astros as their bench coach. They won the World Series. You joined the Red Sox as a rookie manager. They one hundred and nineteen games one of the best seasons. In baseball history, everything. He's done in baseball for two years has been worked out as well as it could possibly work out. And he's been at the center of all of these trophies and parades and celebrations. But great. Now, this is certainly not a disaster. I mean were game over five hundred and third places division. I it's not like something terrible. Right. But this is the challenge is going to have, you know, it's not just keeping everybody happy in parceling out, the plane time, he's going to have to whether it's disciplined some players in terms of picking them out of the lineup because they're not playing well, maybe having to change the roster and adapt to that or talk to the tape. Nebraska and say, hey, listen. We gotta get this guy out of here. We gotta get some more bullpen guys in here. Whatever the things are that needs to be done right. He's going to be at the center of that, and it's gonna probably hurt somebody's feelings. And he hasn't had to really hurt anybody's feelings as a manager for a couple of years now. So it's going to be this is sort of the dark side of managing that he's going to have to make some decisions that aren't going to be real popular great. Another great point. That's true. He hasn't heard anyone feeling. I hate when people hurt people's feelings, but there's no choice Pete. You have to hurt feelings, one more because because you just mentioned kimbrel as of Monday, you don't have to give anything to get except a lot of money to get kimbrel or kaikal. De who'd with kimbrel being the former red sock at this point. Any chance he's back in Boston. Or do you have any feel for what might happen with either of those pitchers? I don't think there's, there's any chance for a comeback of Boston, because they have been able to sign him right along without giving any up, giving picks up. So if they were going to do that they would have done it by now. I think, and it seems like the cubs would be the team that would would want him they need to get relief help. They've obviously got money as much as they have seen says they don't wanna spend it at this point, they do have it. And kaikal is certainly, you know, the year bout with the Yankees year with the angels. There's a lot of play teams out there that could use a starting pitcher. But the, the Red Sox fans are going to be very sore when Kimball signs at somebody else, because they all think he's the guy who can come riding to the rescue, and that's probably not gonna happen. Interesting paint, your great, you know you're fantastic. So you are, and I love you and I appreciate you coming on with me. Wow. Can I get a recording of this? That'd be great. And you make me laugh. Thank you, Pete Arkan. Thank you. You know, when Pete Abraham was on the beat, and Mark fine sand. And of course, John and Susan were always around and the yes, people and uh gosh, some of those days were really fun. Some of those days were really long, but some of those days were really fun. Of course back then was covering. He covered the Mets, he covered the Yankees and now covering the Red Sox. And he's just great. And he made some really good points there that I had not thought of which just because I've not thought of them does not all alone. Make it a great point. But in this case, both came together where I had not thought of those points and they were fantastic points. So Red Sox have an issue here. I gotta think they can't, well, if they get swept, they'll just have a bigger hole to dig out, and they'll try to do that. But you've got to think that they're starting to believe that they've, they've got to make a little bit of a move. They can't keep falling back. They had a really good stretch. They gave it all away. I understand part of that was losing to Houston. There's no shame in losing to Houston, especially in Hughes. But man, this is not the Red Sox team. Any of us thought that we'd see including last night for sure at the stadium. "Hundred and twenty five earned runs. Which is totally middle of the pack. I know that was a great three minute segment. I'm going to try to submit that for an award. Let's go to Hector in Washington heights. What's up Hector? Always always always good to hit. Just home. Like, sometimes you correct, gives himself sound effects. Maybe I should. You could do some of that. Thank you. I really too big. On what anti-globalisation mess allowed goal. So little bit on that I think the frustrated is you have someone who wanna say, young, you have someone who had his best year, and you said they will calling Brody asking the right? And even now fused to say needle could be the gums personal catch the numbers. Right. Yes. I just don't get it like why they try to make things so hard on these guys like. In position to succeed. Right. And it and it seems more like wanna battle to battle sometimes even the Guam. The over with they give hopefully works out. Good. I you know, I just don't get it. But. Hector. Thank you, as always for checking-in Hector, the battles. They choose to kind of quote unquote fight. I mean they're not they're not going nuts about it. But the idea that NATO can't just catch to Graham. Is ridiculous. Didn't survelliance catch Burnett a lot. I feel like he became like a personal catcher to AJ Burnett. I could be wrong about that. I also remember survey CC throwing survey also. I mean there are times that that's the way it goes and obviously facade, it was more of an offensive catcher than than defensive. He wasn't there for his defense. He was here because he was when he hit the two home runs in a game. Everyone loved it. There's nothing wrong with catering to your best pitcher to bring the best out of your best pitcher. Not in my opinion, at least. Missouri co last year to twenty two. Two hundred and three at bats for the Mets. He came over from sense as we know. Hit thirty RBI ten home runs thirty RBI. He was not some ofensive whiz. But the pitchers clearly really liked him that should count for something has to count for something. That's a weird one to me, this whole thing is a little bit weird to me. I some point I'll try to get someone on to talk a little bit about this. If if continues to become to the issue, it's been, we'll see. We'll see how it goes who knew we'd be talking about Devin Mazarakis on may twenty fifth who knew I do know this. I gotta take a break. Kim Jones coming back phones jammed, I'll get to you, but eh behind the glass, whose biggest fan just called me.

"Kill nine good news for me, my friend, Susan Waldman. Check, then I don't think so mind me saying this, she is essentially forgiven me for not being familiar with GIO or shallow as I could have been. She did give me a bit of his background because there's no that fritzy about these guys, which is awesome. You always add. He came up with Francisco Lindores and Cleveland was always brilliant defensively that I've definitely heard on the broadcast and everything else is defense is incredible. Plagued with Toronto as well last year up and down. Now, listen, he certainly seems like a guy found a home with Yankees, right? As long as this can last wolf. He's great. He's fun to me. Those are the best stories in sports often. Is the underdog will he's certainly kind of wears that role. Right. Even though we didn't know much about him and he's a young player who you know. Could fill prove himself as everything but and underdog he could be a great great player for years to come. But right now it's just a lot of fun. It's, it's hard to think about the Yankees and the core four and the free agent signings and everything else, and money's never a problem, and it's whether or not they wanna go after a guy not if they can afford to and all of that stuff. The charm of them really is these players who come up that we don't know as much about who flourish. I know again, I'm not suggesting what I'm saying right now is like some. Oh, wow. I never thought of that kind of stuff. I get it. But with the Yankees there are themes that are absolutely. Universal right now. And one is when you look at the Yankees and their injuries and what they're able to do in the face of those injuries. You say, well, you just do. Meanwhile the Mets are. Rosero at bat away from losing to nothing to the Marlins. And having Noah Syndergaard take the mound tomorrow. Try not to get swept in Miami. Ouch. Ouch. Not good. Not good at all. Eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six Kim Jones with you till nine Tony page. Then we'll have an Eric update at the top of the hour. Let's check check in John from red banks on the line. What's up, John? Hi, kim. First of all, before I get to my points. John Susan such great. I'm on the radio. I don't even watch the games on. I'm sorry. But that's just they're so good. Good so entertaining. And I'll let you make your point, of course, Jon, whether it's a little bit of an inconvenience of a rain delay, or as we saw earlier this week, a power delay there, there, so real entertaining in that vein even though I know, those aren't always the most desirable circumstances for them. But then calling the game. They're just it's just it's great. It really is.

"Kim Jones wicked till ten lines are jammed. I'm getting to the phones in just a moment. I was looking at the Yankees schedule. This is dangerous for me because I'm obsessed with schedules obsessed the Yankees play the Red Sox in London. June twenty ninth and thirtieth. It's a Saturday Sunday series. I'm assuming both teams, but the Yankees have the two days before it off to travel and then a day off after obviously to return so one-two-three in five days. They'll play two games. Weird to me weird. Is between the opener which is against Baltimore. Probably be eighteen degrees that day the opener at home against Baltimore. Let me double check that. That's at home because I don't want to get a call saying, I'm an idiot. Yes. It's the home opener on March twenty eighth. So between March twenty eighth. And may fifteenth so less than two months and the first two months of the season. Let me let me do it this way, I told you I love this stuff. One two three four five. Six seven the first seven weeks of the season the Yankees play the Orioles thirteen times. One two three. Four five six. I might be wrong about that. One two three. I know this is fun. One two three the home opener for the Yankees. They then go to Baltimore for their opener. So that's three four five six. Seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen they place thirteen times in the first seven weeks of the season. And I'm telling you right now, the Yankees should go eleven and two. Sure that was exhilarating radio. I think that that's crazy. So then the only of two series the rest of the way with the Orioles. Wow. That seems a little. Unbalanced doesn't it? Their team's home opener though. That's nice. There'll be a lot of Yankee fans who could make the trip at least if they choose to. It's not nice weather yet. But to Baltimore for that home opener. All right. Let's go back to the calls. Eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six time to get serious again. No more scheduled talk. I promise not really. But I do kind of promise. Let's go to Steven Edison Europe with Kim Jones on the fan. Steve. Hello. Steve might have left us probably at some point. When I was counting the weeks of the season. Can we can we say goodbye to Steve there? Connor. Thank you very much. I don't know how to do that part of it. Sorry. I guess I could've just dropped him. Let's go to Matt in Wisconsin. Hello, matt. I got the gram point real quick. And made me think you think the overall stronger than I Spitzer. Yes, I don't think the AL was very strong. It's top heavy with the two teams. Obviously. Right. Yeah. I. Yeah. The point now. Yeah. I was on the side with this. But now, I'm thinking for my sanity, and that STAN sanity, I just feel like give them a fair offer lock them up. I I just wanna season without distractions. Like, let me enjoy baseball make the guy happy, and I just can't take it. You know, it's always something with my Mets and jets the Knicks play. I just enjoy the game on the field and season once in my life. So I'm kind of like he's done nothing. But the perfect teammate all Harvey. Syndergaard just say do it, you know, a fair contract and just get it over with. That's my opinion on it. Yeah. I mean, I see your point. It's just that the team doesn't really have reason to do that. And they don't usually do it just because. They'd be doing early at least a year early. Now. I do understand the idea if we get to next year and Jacob degrom says I'm going to finish up out. My time is a met here with the twenty twenty season. But then I'm a free agent. And I'll see you later. I would understand that. But just to do it just to do it. I doubt that they would. Choose that route. But you know, I was talking to Dave Lennon a couple nights ago here on the fan and he thinks it does get done before the opener. So who knows I do not know the answer, candidly, I do not know the answer. I can certainly understand both sides of it. And I can understand the Mets not wanting now to deal with a player who just wanna Cy Young. As opposed to a player perhaps after this season. Who has a really good gear? But not that outstanding season. Really good, really good. But not the Cy Young award. Kind of here that he just had. I understand that. Let's go to sky in Brooklyn. You're next on the fan. What's up sky? I can't how are you? Good. How are you gonna have you back? Thank you. Same to you. No problem. Talk about the Mets and the Yankees. I'm a I'm a lifelong Yankee fan grew up on Long Island. So I grew up around five Mets fans and just been listening to a lot of the callers on the fan, and and just sort of general feeling by from the Mets fan is a real Downer in regards to what they did this off season. I feel like they have top to top line starters. They burn a great closer to now. It's not like bringing in Asia Gonzales, the super quality player, and I. They can have breakout years from several prospects, and they could be in the same boat of the Yankees where Andrew Harding. Taurus. I don't think it's as as dim as most people they could advocating, well, I do think sky, and I thank you for the phone call that you are definitely taking the optimistic side. I tend to be optimistic this time of year. I actually think I'm optimistic most times of year until optimism is just a lost cause because then you have to be realistic. But I see what you're saying with some of the prospects. I do think the additions have been good ones. I think that they did try to make changes, and I give them credit for that. They did extend financially in some cases, I give them credit for that. But sky did bring up a very good point. I forgot about the Adrian Gonzalez. What what should we call that experiment? They did not do that this year. They did not do that. In fact, the close. Well, it's not fair to even say the closest the one player that you would look at in terms of of that to some degree. I guess would be Todd Frazier, and we'll see what Frazier has and how much he can factor in how much his bat can matter that would be nice if his bat mattered that we'll see about that. And I think I heard someone say cesspit showed up at camp. Who knows? Brodie seems to think he's gonna play this season. I hope salads more fun when he plays at least it has been in the past. Let's go to Steven mount Kisco next on the fan with Cam. What's up? Steve. Hi, kim. First time ever talking to you. My pleasure. No, it's mine. Thank you. I'm not in here enough to know, exactly. What happened with you, health wise? Now, you had a major major air and everything just happy that you're back. I appreciate that. You're you're always terrific and enjoy your protests want to talk that Jacob for Jacob for second. If I could course. In full disclosure. I'm Jake freak. I happened from. I saw his rookie debut. He didn't take an older city field. I saw him the first time he pitched in may two thousand fourteen and from that day on he was he's my guy, you know. And that's all two story. And some of my friends have complimented me for like kind of having that for you. Right. How good he is. Having said that I wish I mean. This is a weird situation. They're in right now. I mean, it looks like. In some respects. It looks like Matt Harvey all over again my God and help us with that. You know, no more Scott Boras in innings women's now CA or whatever it is. And the same thing, and they're not the same person at all. Harvey just so different truly night and day. I think. But we don't want that disaster all over again. And if anyone deserves to be cut some a break here, and and it's a little bit of a public relations high wire that that has to be walked by Jake care because people even be angry that he's like maybe not happy with seventeen million dollars a year. He earned every penny of that, you that can be said in terms of it was arbitration thing he he was the best pitcher in baseball last year. He's been the the consummate soldier team guy. Whatever it just goes out and give you everything you've got all the time. And I think that it's like backing up just a second up with the Phillies did with Aaron Ola, you know, and how they how they just tied him up now at a lower number. I mean, the Mets should have done that two years ago with Jake and they'd be better off. And now, they don't have it. Now, we've got Cy Young under a rookie of the year, and he has been great. And I think that they just need to be created here. I thought about something like what about a four year deal, including you know, this. Share and wrapping that after the seventeen plus into an annual rate of whatever. And you know, let's say it's a four year deal for a hundred million dollars including this year, and they lock them up, and if ages consideration and they're concerned about that. You know, that's logical concern, you know, maybe Jake and listen to that say, listen two hundred million dollars for four years. That's fantastic. Thank you very much. I'm going to be at the end of the story. What do you think? Well, I do think Steve. And I don't know that this is a priority. I do think it would be popular with the Mets fan base, especially if Jacob cleans up these comments just a little bit if he needs to do that. But with the fan base, and I also think in the clubhouse and keep in mind, you have a group of pitchers all hoping to cash in as Jacob degrom now deserves to and I do think there is something to be said for that. Now, that's easy to say when it's not my hundred and fifty million Kim Jones here with you til ten they're telling me we have to take a break. Connor green says take a break. I. Take a break. But we're gonna come back. We will at some point here from Jacob degrom had to say today here in port Saint Lucy or not here imports Lucy. But we're going to hear it here. How beco- for me pretty good, right? Give them Jones with you til ten. We're coming.

"Six. Kim Jones back with the days are definitely getting longer. I know that's not the most astute observation in the world. But it's close because it used to be dark at four. Paul just nodded very gently. It is now completely sunny right now behind me and the windows are open. Well, no, the windows aren't open. The what I call that. The the blind is not down which usually has the stadium field football field behind it. A blind is a good way. Yeah. We have the blind open as opposed to shy. So the sun is coming in. That's the point. And it is so awesome. Jacobs going to Florida good for him. Pete Abraham's in Florida. We'll talk to him in about thirty seven minutes or so about the Red Sox, which he covers now on a daily basis, but he also has covered the keys and mats and certainly can speak to both can speak to Brody. I'm interested in what he thinks. They're as baseball season is always so welcome. When it comes to spring training because we all think springs coming on the joke is usually on us like last year in April the draft. "Don't talk officiating as if they're somehow above it. I don't understand that it plays a vital role in these games. It changes games. We just saw the best example of it. You're ever gonna see right in front of officials. There was a foul that is called a hundred times out of one hundred it changed games. Oh, and God knows it changed New Orleans watching the Super Bowl. Did you guys notice that they got a twenty six share and the year before they had double that Jacob New Orleans did not watch the Super Bowl they had their say by not watching the Super Bowl. I thought that was remarkable because that stuff never happens, but that community followed through. A true Kentucky Jacobs nodding at me. But you can actually I understand. Yeah. I love these guys don't wanna talk. They they made their their voices through not watching. They did. Absolutely. They did. But I do think that there will be some sort of change. I doubt it will be a drastic. And in terms of the rule book. I don't think the rule books going anywhere. The one thing that they seem to do in some pre-seasons is when they get the rules are going to emphasize, and it messes up preseason for everyone because players don't know how to adjust and they're adjusting. And then by the time the regular season rolls around that stuff usually has settled down. Like the roughing the passer stuff. Settling. Yes. Yes. Well, this all changed with defensive holding when Peyton Manning's colts team lost that game in Bill. Bill Polian lost his mind because of the aggressiveness of the DB's on that day. And that changed everything in terms of defensive holding. My goodness we never had defensive holding until then, but that's years ago. And now we've all accepted Kim Jones with you till six we are now going to get to Jacob and.

"That Pete Abraham who is terrific. Boston globe. Covers the Red Sox. Formerly covered the Yankees around here. And does a great job. But anything baseball a hip, it'd be a big patriots fan too, which is incidental to this topic. But he's going to join me at five he is in Florida. He is in the sunshine. And I'm interested in his take particularly on the Red Sox and Yankees. Both but also on Brody and he used to cover the Mets as well. By the way, so sort of the Mets taken in what seems to be very deliberate changing of the climate with the Mets to a more confident operation. A bit more. What's the word? I'm trying to find a word but not use the word swagger 'cause that's a pet. Peeve of mine. Just an operation that is willing to tell you that they're pretty good. But then knows it has to show you they're pretty good. So I probably should have just used swagger. But. So p Dave's gonna join me at five. So we'll do some baseball talk with him tomorrow. We'll do some baseball talk as well with fine sand and Paul Schwartz is going to join me tomorrow. So couple of really good guests a few really good guests. I'm interested in talking to. But mostly I've been interested in talking to you guys in the calls have been great Kim Jones with you till six the time is flying. I promise you that. So let's go back to the calls. Let's go to Frank in north massapequa. What's up Frank? Hey, Kim, our you and thank you for working out. Oh, I'm happy to do it. Thank you. Baseball. We've got Machado Elliott. It's almost getting old that his point now on waiting on the where these guys are gonna land. Thunderhead? Where these guys landing way of ballpark when you how much. Yeah. Well, I mean who knows what the contracts probably not what each help. They get. Here's my one thing about this baseball process. Baseball lost an opportunity at some point along the way, and you could argue now because neither assigning today as far as we know has lost that opportunity to have a really big splash free agency, really two special players. And there we presume new destinations. Obviously, man. He's going to be a new destination we presume Harper's not going back to the NATs. And as this drags out. I think there's a little bit of a Malays. I mean could the Yankees get back in it or get in it if they choose to they can do whatever they want. I'm just not necessarily aware of them being interested in that right now. It certainly seems like both players. Did not get the money, and or destination. That they had in mind right because they signed by now. You would think if the money's right? And God knows it's a fortune. No matter what it is. And the destinations right. Then there wouldn't be the hold up. I mean, I think that's pretty logical and almost has to be accurate. It's funny with free agency because I know some not all not going to speak about all. But some baseball writers look at NFL free agency. When in the first thirty six hours a lot of it is done and just shake their heads. Imagine keeping as much attention as you can on Harper and or Machado. Since november. It's gotta get tedious at some point. Are the White Sox in it with Manny? San Diego in it. If Brody really wanted to make a splash and really wanted to extend. They'd sign Harper. If they can. That's pretty obvious. And then I think some of this big talk and big expectations from the Mets would be something. Everyone could buy into. Boy, would that be fun. That would be so great. Almost certainly not happening. But it would be absolutely terrific. If it did let's go to Mike in Orange County, New York. What's up, Mike? How you doing great? How are you? Disagree with you on the price offer. I love him. I think I think they're doing great. What's the move? They are good. I know. How much can you ask for? Except for what they've got. Of course, you know, why not not my mind, you describe it. But. I've done a great job. I don't know about this brody's, whatever his last name is. To watch my TV looks like a movie star the match. Hey. They're making moves. And then all was Ashley, thanks. Mike, Mike is Mike is Mike is the Mets fan of the year. As far as the Mets are concerned because if all of their fans were content with the moves and happy and optimistic that would be a lovely scenario for the folks at city field. And maybe it happens. They have made a lot of moves. They've been very active brody's been very confident. I think Tommy I think I heard Mike francesa say yesterday that brody's coming on the program Monday. I am almost certainly I heard that. Timings giving me a thumbs up. So I think you'll hear from Brody on Monday here on the fan. And listen, he is interesting to listen to any certainly brings a bit of a personality to the Mets that they have been lacking Terry Collins had a fiery nature to them. We understand that. But in terms of front office in terms of a decision maker. He does spice it up a little, and that's a good thing. Especially a good thing in off seasons. We'll see what it translates to during the season, as you know, because I'm generally speaking a fill in in spring to some extent but summer when people take vacation here on the fan. It is a better summer when the Mets and Yankees are both having good years to me. It's a more fun. It's more fun to talk about you talk trade deadline, can they still help themselves can both content can both be playoff teams. I love that stuff. And too often lately. And throw in football and basketball for the most part. Although I know the nets are doing. Well, it's been doom and gloom here by mid points of seasons way too often. So if both teams could make a run that would be a lot of fun around here. Let's go to Steven Brooklyn next with him on the fan. What's up Steve? Kim glad to have you back. Are you doing? Thank you. How are you? Okay. Two quick points on your calls. The NFL one hundred commercial my nephew. I guess. He's about eleven twelve years old calls me up and says, you see it. I said, yeah. Because you can see Eli manning in. And I said wasn't in it. He says go play it. I played I call him back. And now he's anyway manning Hedo manning was in it for literally a half the second at twenty six seconds. So his point was manning out old Beckham and Barkley all the new thing. And that's why he wasn't in the commercial and the next quick point. I wanted to make and then I'll listen did you see the interview with Boris icing and Adams when he said, I wanna be I wanna be like with Ron James and get everybody. Great to play with me. I wanted your opinion on that. You'd think he has a slow down his role just a bit. I don't I don't know. Steve was actually saying he was in the commercial or wasn't. I got lost on that part. How do you hate ally? I mean, I know I know we love and hate I understand. Lie in Odell and the offensive line made the best commercial maybe in Super Bowl history a year ago with the dancing. This year. I think it's been publicized Eli and his wife. I believe the night of the Super Bowl became parents of a baby. Boy, so whether that impacted you lies taking part in any sort of a commercial this time around I would not now. Certainly we think it's possible. But I don't know any of that do I think Odell and saquon are overwhelming personalities and popular as NFL players ideal. I do believe that. Starpower is not the giants issue. They have issues star power is not one of them. Paulie? Do you want me to take a break before Jacob or do you want me to take more calls more calls? Okay. Rarely is that the answer. But today, we're batting a thousand. I actually kind of like it Hector Washington heights. Your next step on the fan with Cam. What's up actor? They came out. You're doing good. How are you? I'm doing good and happy to have you back. I love your giggle. I gotta say that whenever you say something that giggled about I just love that. Well, thank you have to have that back in good to have you healthy. So happy to hear that. Thank you. Because you mentioned Brody, and I gotta take him. I'm not entirely happy. Hiring for any reason. Why aren't you happy with the hiring? What have you not liked from Brody for the fact that he seems to only talk to his former client has that's a problem? I hear ya. I did he you know what? I mean. I hear you. What are these guys will take less money? Maybe. But maybe Hector you just used a really good word. Maybe he doesn't have to convince those guys because they know him and believe in him, and it's an easier sell. So he says done deal. What what is what I'm saying? So he's writing his comfort zone. Right. So you wanna show me? You're ready that good. Let's go out your comfort zone. They still have to. They still have. Absolutely. Absolutely. And that's what I want to say. I don't mind though, his vital. Let's say. Okay. And good work, right down bravado. The next time I accidentally have to use swagger. We're going bravado. Literally writing down. There you go. I don't mind that. Right. I don't really fear the brace. 'cause I look at the brave, and I was like, okay. We would have raised a little while ago where we would like the free. No, I yeah. You know what I mean? The national do the nationals. Yeah. Exactly what Harper but with Patrick. Within the last few years. It's been more about the Mets deficiencies that other teams being that great. Now have we addressed all of them? We could have had very maybe a better centerfielder. But as hoping the guy was back in at least a defense, you know, some help. But you know, I don't I basically, I just don't mind I don't mind and being being confident. I just wish. Like, I'd say, okay, you're you're a good fan. You're a great caller. And I really appreciate you. Thank you very much Hector. I'm going to get to one thing Hector said but first Jacob has the update..

"I don't do any inside stuff. I'm just a stay. Know like your insight. Thanks for calling. Doug. I appreciate that. You called me balance. And I appreciate all the info will laughing yet laughing at you. I don't know why. Because because because I walk in and it's energy. I think that's well, they're not going to tell the truth because there's energy. I'm excited to move back to the fan. And then you, you know, first caller, I second out of the shoot first caller was tuxedo. But that was great. So second Colorado, the shoot calls me, balanced and the guys behind the glass are like what is going on this Saturday. You said they won't tell you the truth typical men. We don't know. But it's it's good. I really enjoyed. I just listen a little bit here and there, and I just enjoy I get upset with giant fan saying that nothing has happened. And they won two Super Bowls in recent memory. Yes. Not in the nineteen sixty. Yes. As you know, we are generally IMP impatient. Fan. They'll have had to show some patients, and they have especially in as you know with the next, but Doug, thank you. Well, thank you. Appreciate comeback. Okay. Thanks. I actually wasn't sure. What to make of that? But that guy's legit. That guy's legitimately Doug mel's because it went on too long. And there wasn't a punchline Rosenberg's nodding like an idiot. No, I'm not I did research shot at during the call. Yo you were. Yeah. Wikipedia or something. Or what are you doing? Newsday wrote a whole article about his father, and they grew up in Long Island. Yeah. Okay. That's why you were nodding. Yes. Gotcha. Gotcha. We have unspoken language between us during the show. That's what I wanted to say telepathic. Does that work? Yeah. I think it works. We're all good. Paulie? We're good. We're good. Can I take another call or do you want to break or no? So we have no commercials today is what you're basically telling me. Okay. He's he's like why are we doing this on the air? We're gonna do everything on the air. I told you guys you're part of the program. I like that stuff. I really do. Tommy won't look at me. Let's go to John in Branchburg, New Jersey. I'm hearing all these cities and towns for the first time Branchburg, what's up, John? Welcome back. God is good that you everything went well for you. Thank you. What I wanted to talk about is is the the Super Bowl quarterbacks. Okay. The first quarterback is the first quarterback to win. Four championships. Was Terry Bradshaw. And then followed by Joe Montana. And now you have Tom Brady outcome that did. And I'm a Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Okay. But my question is why do they dish? We spent the guy like like Terry Bradshaw who who is the first to win for Super Bowl and mind you to back the bachelor bolts, why did do they why is he locked in the conversation of of of great Super Bowl quarterbacks. John. He is certainly a great Super Bowl quarterback. He's he's just not the greatest. I mean, you would put I would put Brady above him. I think Eli is a hall of Famer based on his cO, but based on his quarterbacking in the playoffs and particularly the Super Bowls. So to me if you're going to rank the Super Bowl as the be all end offer quarterbacks, and there's other other factors, obviously. But it certainly is up there in my mind. Well that way. Works to allies advantage. Right. Because he wanted to he came from behind beat the heralded patriots both times, we all know what Eli manning did in those games in the runs to those games. But to me that then tells me that Tom Brady is the greatest of all time because of his the frequency with which he's gone to the Super Bowl and won. It. To me ally. And Tom are not dissimilar in that to me that gets Eli the pathway to the hall of fame. Brady's pathway to the hall of fame is already in concrete as we now or whatever the heck they use for driveways asphalt. It is already firm. But to be the greatest ever I do think he's taken that step with yet. Another Super Bowl win Kim Jones wicked till six going to get back to your calls. Eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six after we hear from Jacob Lukens..

"By clydes of gallery place from five till seven. Kim Jones with you till six there is nothing on television this afternoon, nothing. Is it the American alliance a football? Am I am guys wanna be just pipe in their American alliance? Af tommy. Team alliance of American. Thank you. I was so close does that count alliance of American football. Doesn't roll off the tongue. Does it alliance of American football? Af might be better. I would have been tempted to throw one of those games on this afternoon. But what do I now I'm not a programmer, I'm not I don't do television programming in case you thought I did I don't I mean there is nothing to watch on television right now. That's why the old Super Bowls are probably getting good no on network. All right. We're going to go to the phones. Eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six. I will the the odds, by the way since we all love this gambling talk. And everyone's invested in it now because it's legal in jersey. Or whatever. I don't gamble. The odds of me messing up the phone number today are incredibly good like you'd get a very low pay off if I mess up the number. So that what would that be like a two to one odds? Okay. Tommy gave me a thumbs up Paul's looking at me like I'm crazy. But what else has no minus two hundred. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. I don't understand that. So you have to risk two dollars twenty dollar. So it's minus two hundred right? So if it's plus two hundred of its two one then you risk a dollar, and you went to the other way around you have to risk a dollar. You have to two dollars to win one dollar will. Why would anyone do that? If there's a favorite because that means you're a big favourite to happen. Okay. You have to risk more money, but it's more likely to happen. But you win little money though. Then you win less money less money. Yeah. Especially if you bet two dollars. I mean, you're winning a buck dollars thirty three percent of the I guess that's true. It would almost buy you a soda in the WFAN sorta machine almost twenty ounces, right? So you'd have to wager adult two dollars on two big favorites. And then you'd win two dollars. Then you could buy the drink here at WFAN..

"One nine. Radio sixty six. It was nice to parallel park again. It was nice to pay for parallel parking again. Nice to see Paul Rosenberg Jake of Mesa. See you. Tommy Lugt our great to see him as well. Nice to hear from you as I n -ticipant doing till six o'clock. It's Kim Jones with you on this sunny, Saturday cold, but sunny, we're making progress if the fans out though here on the fan, and I am delighted to be here. It's been an awfully long time. I don't think I've been on the fan in hosting capacity since October pretty sure I haven't and that would have been with my buddy, Carl banks on those Monday night shows the giants started to win a few games after I was out by the way, JJ and Carl actually got to talk about a few wins. I've been on with Mike, and I've been on with Joe and Evan and I was on once on a Saturday with Evan other than that. I have not been able to talk, and I have a whole lot to say this might remind you a little bit when the hosts come back after Labor Day, and you're like, yeah. That happened in July. But the host wasn't there to talk about it. So it's new for them. Right. That's me right now. But we got a lot to talk about today we will do. So with you on the phones. Someone took the phone number out of this studio. Eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six Tommy just gave me a thumbs up. There was zero confidence behind the glass when I said someone took the phone number. They were like she is going to give a number that starts with one two three. I didn't I got the number. Right. So give me a call. And we'll talk about anything on your mind. Today. I got up, and I had already I have topics galore on my computer. We'll see how many we get to. But I had that already done, of course, and everything and I got on the treadmill a little bit. And I turned on NFL network. My main employer. And it was Super Bowl forty two. And I thought well, this is going to get me through a few minutes here. And it certainly did. And I watch the the end when I get home. Don't tell me how it turned out if you know. It was actually really fun to watch a couple of things stuck out. Oh, and by the way, a hat tip to my buddy, Shaun O'Hara because he tweeted it was on. That's how I knew I didn't find it on my own because I don't usually turn TV on at that hour. But Shaun O'Hara tweeted that it was on. So thank you, Sean. And I watched it and Shaun O'Hara and company by the way stood out because I had a clean pocket to throw from not always we know that not always David Tyree helmet catch, but he had a clean pocket a lot of times. And I thought to myself. I know it's been a while. I know it's been a while. But what could he li- do with a clean pocket? A lot more often than he's had it. My hunch is I could be wrong. My hunch is we're going to find that out this coming season. Because my hunch is the giants will stay with ally. We'll see, but that's my hunch. But that they will continue to fortify an offensive line that should be better. We'll Hernandez, for example, will be better. I believe in his second year than in his rookie year. I think that stands to reason they've got to get better on the right side. Probably with at least a new right tackle. We'll see about the right guard. Jim Brown certainly had his moments after coming over in that trade. Not saying he's a hall of fame guard. I'm saying he had his moments where he played well. So we'll see what they do there. But he li- manning a throw down the seem to Kevin boss. I think it was down the same..
