"Or I guess in 2022, because the Super Bowl that this Super Bowl will be 2021 you know what I'm saying? All right, timeto line him up Presented by our friends at BET, MGM Pretty light day on the sports front, No NFL game. No Thursday night football as much as we hate Thursday night football. I kind of miss it. Football was nice. Eso no NFL game. Ah, tonight tear, but we got baseball game. We got one going on right now. But we also have one in about hour and 15 minutes. Game four. Of the En el Dia or NLCS. Excuse me. Braves taking on the Dodgers Dodgers. Spanking the Braves last night. 11 run first inning. And Cruz. To a win. And now they say, Inkling Kershaw at long last Onto the mountain. I'm not going to say that this start for Clayton Kershaw tonight. Is the biggest of his career. Because the guy is pitched in a lot of big games, and this is not the world. Siri's But this is this is on the list. This is high on the list. Certainly other than a World Series game. The most important start, and it seems like no duh, but we've been to this point in the season for the Dodgers before. Right, but this is a massive start for him. And he also got the Built in talking points, right the back spasms. You know? Or how are they going to affect him? If he doesn't pitch? Well, then I'm sure that back spasms will be discussed. But this is where you and I know what Clayton Kershaw eyes in the postseason is E R. Is about two runs higher. I get it. But the Dodgers need him tonight. The Dodgers need him tonight. Even up this Siri's, because if they don't They're not coming back from 31 down. You got Max freed coming back around. For the Atlanta Braves. This will not end well for the Dodgers if they can't win. Tonight. And so I think this game As we talk about legacy and with a guy like claim, Kershaw, the discussion is all about legacy. This is a legacy. Building. Start. Because if the Dodgers win tonight End up winning this Siri's and going to another World Series and maybe even winning that. We will talk about this start to night. And conversely, if clinker shop bombs tonight And the Braves end up winning this thing in five It is, I think. Cemented, Cling Kershaw All world. One of the best we've ever seen in the regular season. Postseason just couldn't translate. Massive start tonight for Klink Kershaw. Massive game for the Braves. Dodgers minus 2 23 favorites They're giving 2.5 to the Braves, who are plus 1 95. Over under is nine runs. I generally loathe the team that Clayton Kershaw pitches for. I do not wish that franchise a lot of success. But tonight I am backing Clayton Kershaw. I think the Dodgers I'm backing the Dodgers in the first five innings. I'm going to take Klink Kershaw to strike out at least seven hitters. And I'm also going to take the bridge to score at least four runs now. I'll put the caveat on it. I don't know that they'll get Close to the four with Kirsch on the mountain. But Clayton Kershaw The guy that's going to attack the zone. I got attacked the zone this time of year and I know Dodger fans. They're listening like, Yeah, that's kind of been the problem. You got to do it. I got to go after these guys, and I think it's going to lead To a fair amount of strikeouts tonight. Look that Tony Gonsouland kid a couple of nights ago struck out like 11 guys. Clayton Kershaw, Khun Strike Out seven. He's going to attack the zone. He's going To go after these Braves hitters. I think he's going to rack up the strikeouts, but I think he might get touched up once or twice. I could see in ICU Nya or for even a Freddie Freeman. I know left on left. But still Freddie Freeman. With the way he's hitting. I could see him giving up a bomb. I could, but I think Kershaw has far more success tonight. Then he gets steamed up. I think that the Dodgers even up to Siri's, so I bet a minus 2 23. But what's the point? Right? Not getting any value. Their line is 2 23, So I'll take the first five. Strike Kershaw to get least seven K's I do think that the Braves with a combination of maybe hitting a home run off a clinker shop, but also maybe getting after that dodgersbullpen a little bit. I think the Braves score at least four runs. You get, plus odds on that, By the way that and the Kershaw plus 1 10 on Kershaw strikeouts on the over and then +105 on the Braves. Scoring over 3.5 runs. I think we reconvene tomorrow and I think we have a tie. Siri's If it doesn't happen. Plain. Kershaw may be permanently branded as a guy who can't get done the postseason and maybe we're watching the last few days.

"Moving, too watery hospital. I think I'm doing very well. But we're going to make sure that things work out. The first lady is doing very well. So thank you very much. I appreciate it. I will never forget. Thank you. According to the White House, the hospital stay will last just a couple of days, and it's out of an abundance of caution. The president will continue to work from the hospital's presidential offices. President Trump will also not be returning to the campaign trail, at least for some time after testing positive. Rather stunning visual. The president essentially being medevacked from the White House to the hospital, and a shocking reminder that Coben 19 Khun Strike anyone at any time. ABC political analyst Steve Roberts says it brings Kobe 19 back in the forefront of the campaign. This returns America's focus to handling of the covert 19 pandemic has been trying very hard to change the subject to focus on The rebounding economy, saying over and over again, we've turned the corner on the pandemic. And this is brutal, inescapable evidence that the president is suffering a low grade fever, cough congestion and a headache. Today he was being administered an experimental cocktail of anti bodies along with the number of well supplements Zinc vitamin D. The motor dine melatonin and an aspirin is doctor had said that the president was fatigued. But in good spirits, now the president on the campaign trail you never really saw that many masks in fact. Most of his entourage, and most of his supporters didn't really wear masks and the ABC White House chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl says that's now coming to the forefront again. The president and his top advisers are almost never seen wearing masks. The president has.

"Shine on hell on rock on. Thanks for my life. You find a loving here, apologize if anybody was offended, But wait, they may have heard there. Ladies in Prepare yourselves for Thiss is papa and lungs and it is a game changer. KNBR 1045 and 6 86, the sports leader. Wow, We are packed, Amazing guest list. John Lynch was just on Murphy Mac. We have to discuss that the Giants mold men blows up in Denver. Mad Bum is coming back and actually pitching against the Giants. That's what the schedule says. Steve Nash has a new gig. The butts get Leonard for net. We've got to get into the bubble with James Harden and the end of that Miami game That was crazy. The passing of Tom Seaver. Man hacked. I tell you packed, Lorianne way have Dick Dick, Dick, Dick Dick. Have Alex Dickerson. Great Cappie Jacobson reached out last night, another for years, going back to our mutual age days and She works for the Alex Dickerson and had a couple of more hits yesterday. Obviously a tough game when you have a 6 to 1 lead No one criticism I have of this coaching staff and I, you know, one thing we gotta get in there with Dickerson is the The three headed coaches aspires hitting coaches and how they and the giant offense from top to bottom is loaded. There's no doubt there's a threat all the way. You know, young guys part starting to come around here a good week Good series in Colorado. Even ah dooby dooby dooby Mauricio bonds putting together better swings there, 89. Ah, that's the weak part of the lineup right now, but I think it's going to be fine. Offensively. Du Bon has just got to stay in the strike zone. They vote two but 127 And I think it's you know, we get Dickerson going Against right handed pitching. But the one thing I will get to know it would Dick about just how the coaches teach hitting because I think it's just very different brain in Crawford's talked about it. They're two strikes. Two out approach is just Really interesting and I think they're changing the game and a lot of respects and it's been going on in other spots, and now we're fully getting a chance to observe it here with the Giants, and it's been fascinating. But the one thing it does bother me about what they do is I've talked about him field defense. They played the infield in a lot. Ah, and for you know, it's the kind of counterintuitive or what they think because they think the game offensively more than defensively. And I think they have a lineup that Khun Strike for big numbers Trickett numbers so that one of the best teams in the league in scoring runs So to play the infield in early in games just to me why, you know it's why some of these ground balls or finding holes just concede the run playback. I'm not saying conceded, but play back a little bit deeper. And then John. There comes a point in the game right around the stick their seventh inning. When you start to alter your line up, especially when you got and I know Brandon belts never wanna go glove, but he's certainly a Gold Glove caliber player. Man, Brandon Crawford. And just a better outfield defense. You know, I go to the Hunter Pence the no hitter that Johnny was thrown a Dodger Stadium. Why was he in the game there? Why was the 100 pence in the game and against the age when the fly ball to right center got misplayed? Wilmer Flores. The day before not knowing where to go when the ground ball was hit directly to him. That cost you a game and then yesterday Wilmer Flores again on a backhand ball that Brandon Belt probably starts a double play on So there's got to be a point in the game when you have Ah, was it 62?.

Today, we're taking a look at federal unemployment assistance benefits that are ending for now, but could be back and change shortly. Options. People have now to really make ends meet and to answer questions. KCBS. Stan Bunger spoke with Robert Hall, senior fellow at the Hoover Institution and a professor in the economics department at Stanford University. There have been other economic disruptions and pass anything thatyou Khun even closely. Compare this with any lessons could be derived. I wish I could say yes, but now it is literally unprecedented. We've had unemployment numbers that are not not not a highest. These numbers in the reserve unprecedented, but we had unemployment twice. Just touching 10% once in 1982. And then in the great recession in 2009 and 2010. So so we have. We have some notion of what high unemployment looks like. But this unemployment is very different. Let's see if we can get to some of these questions. Let's start with this one here. This question says. I've been getting payments under the P way program. I'm a contract workers so I don't qualify for regular unemployment. I've been reading a lot about the $600 weekly painted, but that's not me. I'm not sure what the status of that program is whether it's going to be extended. I don't think I don't think anyone knows what's going to happen. I mean, we're coming down to the wire and on the on the extension of the Big one, what was previously the $600 Republicans here? Our counter, proposing a smaller number that But to be honest, I'm you know, I'm 2600 miles from Washington D. C, So I don't I'm not. I'm not the guy that follows the politics a lot of follow the numbers in the labor market more than politics. Let's talk about that debate a little because there's an economist. Maybe you have some thoughts on this. The $600 as it turns out, was actually a pay raise for some Americans who were at the lower end of the wage scale when added to their regular state unemployment benefit. The proposal. I believe the Republicans in the Senate have put forth is $200 on top of the regular state benefit on DH. Then, of course, you have the risk factor of many people feel about going back to work, so How does that I will sort out. Well, certainly that there was a lot of concern about the 600 number because, as you were saying, uh, it puts lower weight workers into a funny situation where Uh, if if their jobs they got called back to the job, which lots of people are being called back to their jobs. Um, that was actually a negative cash flow for them. May is kind of a tricky situation and not not one. That's sort of Rebuilding the economy the way we'd like to, um so You know, Ideally, we would weigh would have had a program that would focus more on getting Employers to recall their workers do it even larger volumes that happening. But for various political reasons. Providing the cash through the $600 was proved to be the political answer, even though it's probably not the economic answer, which would have focused more on improving incentives to rehire workers who are on lay off. And and can you measure at this point? Ah, now that we've had a few months on the ground what the impact of these earlier programs has been the original $1200 stimulus. Check these enhanced unemployment benefits. Of programs like the PPP, and so can you. Can you track that money into the economy? Oh, yes. Yes, we can. We contracted total. Andi is quite remarkable. That is that. Cash flowing to to the public in general through these programs. Has actually raised the cash flow above the previous level. So measures like disposable income. There's been a big big increase in disposable income above its normal level. So so the government has been very successful in just throwing cash. Into the economy. Whether it's going to the right people is tougher call whether it's being structured correctly, but the sheer volume of funds going to everybody just remarkably high Uh so so you know, we It was a pretty amazing accomplishment that we're able to sustain total income levels and actually pushed them about normal. Interestingly, though, it didn't result in nearly a large increase in standing. So a lot of the money that we've been throwing into the economy. Uh, is going into saving rather than more consumption. But in any case, it's really played a lot of holes. There's no question about that. And don't forget you can listen to the entire interview at KCBS radio dot com. "Let's go to Iran in Louisiana. Ron you on CBS Sports radio. What do you have thoughts on that? Can he won a Super Bowl? Uh, thanks for taking my call. Um, I guess I'm sick before and I think you can, uh, with the rate important cares. And like I was saying, you know, thinking sometimes the fishing is good enough. You know, in in case I get, I think he's a fish at AA. He has a deal, and I don't know if it is if he's recent stealing, you know right now not but he is efficient. And with the right people wrong, And I think you can. I mean, I was wrong to keep reaching for the bottle you might have exactly need Rather would. That was act. You know, though, doesn't take. No, I agree with you a 1,000,000%. Ron. Thank you for calling from Louisiana Shoutouts to everybody out there. Look, he has the weapons. Cooper Gallop. Elliot Lan, come on this guy. He just was like a runaway train with all the folks that he has, He just has to show up and he won't get thrown off. Carlos is calling up from Sac Town. Let's go out to Sacramento, California shot out everybody in Sacramento Carlos you on CBS Sports radio. What do you think about that? What's going on J R May a man I love the show. Keep doing your thing broke. Yeah, man. I'm a Dallas cowboy fam. So i'ma tell you and Not because I'm a fan. I just tell you the real deal. Yes, that can win a Super Bowl if Trent Dilfer could win with that amazing defense with Ray Lewis in them back in the day. All they told him to do is just protect the ball. Yeah, we'll take care of it, Rick. He could man we covered on the office and the defense. There is no reason, bro. We could do it. All right. Well, thank you, Carlos. I like what you're saying from Sacramento. I hope that we can get players out on the football field. I hope we can get the season done. I hope it can take place safely. But is 2020. I'm expecting the Loch Ness monster in Godzilla to come out of the Pacific in a fight at any moment. Let's go to Texas. Okay? I don't know what city but we're going to talk to Evan. Hey, Evan, where you calling up from? Hey, J R from loving tech man. So I am in the cotton fields over here in West Texas Buddy Harry Jr. I'm great, Evan shout outs. Everybody listening out in Le Bic. What are your thoughts on Dak Prescott? I think he's capable love of winning. He ain't going to overpower or scare anybody. But he's certainly a winner. What do you think? You know, man, I will agree with you that J R can't excusing that that can win a Super Bowl with the Cowboys, But so can any other quarterback that you put in there, man, you could put the most basic Vanilla quarterback you want? Just give the ball dizzy. You have the weapons in a mari and CD and and gallant men use that money elsewhere on the defence, save the defence if I the ball, let Zeke get a break, man. And just crush that division. I mean, that division is literally a garbage fire with the Washington nameless seem right now you have the Eagle's I mean that that divisions after the taken so If you paid act Which I think you can I mean, there's no reason why they shouldn't win a football jacket quarterback. Yeah. I think they're certainly capable of doing that over the next several years. But I will kind of disagree with you a little bit. Any quarterback any quarterback Kevin? You can stick any quarterback there in balance. Okay, So what? Music bulls As an example, we agree on average quarterback at sure. I mean, he's barely better than Mitchell Trash whiskey, right. So if you put Nick Foles in that offense, given that often of line, an average quarterback And invest that money you're saving with that restaurant and put it toward the defense. If I the ball, I really think that any quarterback or an average quarterback can win. I'm not being a backup like Jake from or Jacob Eason. What an average and teleport about. Well, let's say Well, okay, average. Okay. We can say average because you mentioned Nick Foles. I was going to go ahead and put your biscuit E there. And I was going to say, Let's be real. You'd be scared of Travis Kaede. Such the football in Dallas, wouldn't you? No, not really. Because here here, here's the thing and let's compare in Chicago bear. They have a great defence they invest in their defense. Look at their offices of weapons. David Montgomery so far, what we've seen is an average running back. It's not a generational, talented Zeke. You look at their weapons. Jeff Allen Robinson. He's great. You have Anthony Miller. He's an avid your fever. And then that side in, you know, it's it's a landfill. So if you look at that, compared to the Dallas Cowboys, you know they have the offense and weapons work. You did put a trash whiskey in there. Maybe he could be maybe one of your bowl. If you invest in that even well outside, I'll tell you this Evin. I believe in defense, and I do believe you have instances where lightning Khun strike You can put together a dominant defense for maybe a three year stretch. Most recently, I'd go ahead and look at the Legion of boom in Seattle. But we know and thank you haven't shot us. Everybody in Lubbock we know That quarterbacks drive your team. This is the best example. And yes, this is reaching for the stars with Tom Brady. But when you have Tom Brady At quarterback When you have a Peyton Manning at quarterback, when you have someone that you can rock with reliable Lee, you can have you can go on a run. You can always be in contention forever. And I think the Dallas Cowboys. I believe their defense is good enough. I think he can improve from where they were. Ah, last year, 11th and points per game, they can do better The year before that they were six. But the Dallas Cowboys, they can win right now. And if you can lock up a deck, I'm not saying he's going to be the Dallas Cowboys quarterback for the next 15 and 16 years..
