looking at this other thing merger and some some click bait at the bottom and it's it's five athletic looking young lads the peer to be living out on the beach but three of the five murmur shirtless it's the summertime there young men hanging out together in the the click bait caption is in nineteen eighty two five teenagers took a photo together and they've been recreating it ever since I've always loved that and have families of done that are so jealous I wish we'd done that with our kids but here's the only thing I think when I look at that so three of the five guys our shirtless what if you're one of the shirtless guy he yeah nineteen eighty two that's what thirty seven years ago a can our shared this year god no you take off your shirt ana if you were twenty you're now fifty seven right yeah right yeah Manson fair let the let him wear shirts more is that fair comeuppance for take off your shirt diet twenty wait a minute you're blowing my mind justice yeah I think that's that's the world working itself out it's cold thirty seven year old justice you know and I think that's true this is why men should cover their nipples at all times it was funny one of the shower thoughts we didn't do on this morning's Armstrong you get a show was that he giving out candy to kids on Halloween is you're just paying back the debt from the free candy got as a kid right and so it just yet Iggy end up breaking even this one my favorite headlines we didn't get too dear kicks George woman in the head while she pumps gas novel like the lead regular unleaded or unconscious this gal this gal is some she's pumping gas when all of a sudden she takes a blow to the head she says I thought I was being robbed I reached up and grabbed my head I thought I was bleeding she turns to see what was going on and sees a deer running off into the night so heavily this thing it runs through the gas station it was probably panicked or something all right it looks attempted to leap over her but quatre noggin with its full off and and what actor is that it doesn't save she's splitter had a vision fine but so it and and she says she stood frozen for several moments in disbelief trying to comprehend what had just happened as the deer disappeared yeah she's there in Jacksonville Florida standard gas in her car space it off again why is this palm so slow like I am most of the time right all of a sudden she's out on our knees having taken a blow to the head just it's roundhouse by it by a a leaping deer in right you think this will lead to Florida topping those you can't pump your own gas law saw I certainly hope so it doesn't really not fair to people the blob llama even the deer are de ranged in Florida but Jack yeah was probably just an alligator to do your suit well here's the bad news the manufactures of a number of technologies including electric cars are running short of medical no wonder metal they use them in in in the new or better that the batteries electric vehicle batteries okay nickel sulfate it's mind in only a handful of places including as the Wall Street journal puts it some of the most politically operationally challenging such as Russia or can it is frozen north east about seventy percent nickel is used in stainless steel so you knew that sellers but they need more and more because if you use more nickel and less cold while you get a lot better batteries just ask test slower setting records with the the range of their crimes I really really really really want one of my main wife won't let me get one I got a ride in a test on these days I hear it's unlike any known as a result of and every time they update the do you know the cars connected to the internet and well I get to the good part then the the cabbie out but every time they update the software the car gets better thank you do new cool things because everything is software driven once in a while they have a an update that doesn't work so well right and and our agent Eric at one point he couldn't get into his car because it updated then and they just couldn't order or it would take like fifteen seconds before he could start it he just had to sit there but they fix it a lot of these updates are not even performance related you on must is classic for dumping Easter eggs into his cars are all of a sudden out the the lights will do a a light show when you play a certain Christmas song pac man on the dashboard is also the quirky things in my buddy Brian who as a Tesla was showing me that if you were sitting and waiting for somebody the car's gonna be stopped for some reason I think but in the heat is on you can press a little button and it has a crackling fire on the big screen because he's never seen a test flight at the info screen is enormous it's like a it's like it's upside down TV it's taller than it is wide but okay so you can have a crackling fire is the heat blows on you and he blows out like in in intermittent waves like it's a fire while are you kidding me while they're so ridiculous and so great I'm so delighted to be alive at the same time as you on us yeah no kidding no kidding people call me a fanboy whatever that means yeah yeah I'm a huge fan anyway so love of on nickel live online they're they're having trouble finding it on I guess the the M. hello mark it'll take care of it they'll find different into initiate a nickel buy back program will buy all your Nichols for six pennies call it nickel back it was again both horrific in brilliant Michael yes some analysts are cautious after the last big nickel boom it said the price of fifty thousand dollars a ton about a crash soon followed the nickel crash blah blah blah until the producer figured out how to substitute a lower grade product known a comically as nickel pig iron interesting thing about the nickel the coin is that is the only coin named after what's in it there's very little nickel and it is mostly copper just got a little coding that's I don't know if there's any shop I don't know if there's any nickel and into this point but I was not I I Google nickel fun facts apparently it's like twenty twenty five percent nickel at this point is I believe a nickel was originally was supposed to be five cents worth of the metal nickel that was how it kind of right out of its place in our currency right but it's funny because the penny is named after the British you know one one hundredth of a pound I think any the Nichols named after something that's in it I don't know what the hell of time is what's a dime that's an excellent question why is it so small Weiss a dime called a dime and then a quarter is a quarter of the dollar obviously so okay that's right it's fine right but diet is that the diet doom the time was established in the coinage act of seventeen ninety two well fascinating so far but in the acting was called the D. I. S. M. me dis me I guess was pronounced dying but it was just spelled as an old timey word French fries tend to seamen or somebody else okay it's from eight to ten okay that makes makes per fight we use in French words for American coins Joe yeah no kidding I thought this is America I guess I'm wrong anybody here in favor keeping the penny yeah penny stocks not true it's worthless is that it's a nuisance yeah you gotta put Lincoln on will link it's got the five dollar bill right yeah but as far as that's the argument is that you get you it's disrespectful to the link now Hale he'll get over it it cost more for them the pianist pennysaver Haney's cost more than a penny to per the stupid well it is fairly stupid although you need currency out of what is a dollar cost they're probably not very much because you make it an enormous sheets but you have a pet he's got to go the nickel it's difficult to justify the nickel either so big it's over rated it's so big I mean look at the humble dying it's tiny as I said and is worth double giant obese show offy nickel yeah the Nichols very me me me right now that would be a blow to TJ Thomas Jefferson yeah the nickel in the only currency he's on is the two dollar bill correct which I like but I understand it's not that popular of a note I see once every twenty years so listen we get TJ something U. S. grant save the union so he's got to stay on the fifty they're talking about putting Harriet Tubman on the twenty because Jackson was a psychopath in a racist he he and what he was a lot more than that to mean he was the first fighter in a dual are right now you know some you get rid of the penny you get rid of the nickel you know what that's gonna do prices are going to go up yeah they were around ninety nine round down everything's going to be around now it all that's what do you do how often you throw pennies are on for god's sake she's a credit card like a modern human we you don't understand what do you think I keep my old timey quarters I keep them in my penny jar not a penny job order jobs a quarter John it's a change jobs like other Simpsons when somebody else up how much is penny candy said seventy five cents and it's beautiful out of business I'm pu that's racist you know don't you Michael up racist I'm sorry Michael's a racist let's just end it right there AM seven sixty KFMB Caltrans projects over from overnight so lobby work similar as you make your way through this area slowdown move over here tell me what's been right now looking really good from main street to the fifteen about seven.

N. S. G. no P. racial versus ninety six for the industry price to sales three point three that's above the mystery of one point seven no price to book value no price to cash flow we do see sales a year over year were up fifteen point seven percent well above the initial point five earnings per share year over year for the last twelve months while they were down a hundred forty one percent but the industry was down seventy six percent as well we do see current racial point four verses point eight seven and that worries me that's not a liquidity in the quick ratio is even worse at point two four companies can go bankrupt if they can't pay the current bills and met with those racial being so low I don't like to seem below point seven point eight point three A. for current ratio that that makes me nervous no debt to equity here I think because they have no equities my gas no return on equity net profit margin negative fourteen percent positive one point seven five we do see we soon turn over that nine point one that is about the image of five point nine I am a torch over seven point eight well both is a forty two so a lot of strange numbers here we know it's a new company chase and anything going for an earnings for this company what surprised actually I thought it was a biotech but is actually a five G. and internet of things device to cloud solution business so I'm not sure if they maybe have some other technology is the working on getting patents for but I mean even looking out to summer two thousand twenty and still see estimated earnings per share on a gap basis negative nineteen cents so can't drive target sell price from that you know this business could be worth looking at maybe two years down the road there right now I think it's too early to tell just based off of any numbers that we have here am I what could happen to what we're very conservatives and testing would like to see earnings and good balance sheets from companies this stock may go from nine dollars a share of two eighteen because I've got everything right but it's a very high risk we don't to take those risks so we just don't think it's worth it but it's up to you if I take that gamble there already I want to take you to.

"Seven sixteen KFMB the patterns of a teenager and I believe that this is something and they're both private schools that have done that the river just stood the start time for high school to be a later start time and now the state of California has passed a law that is going to require that the school district's public school districts in the state of California it's gonna be phased in except in rural areas where the economics may prevent schools from starting later at the high school level so that kids can perform better on a potentially reduce problem serve teen depression who knows if the sleep cycle will specifically a fact that the anxiety and depression issues but I think it's really if we want kids to succeed in school we don't need them in school three quarters of sleep and I think there's a real advantage to letting kids start later once they hit the teenage years just because they will perform better I saw an item in the Dayton Daily News that the state of Ohio is now considering its legislature having a a law requiring a later start for high schools and the American academy of pediatrics says that it's normal there a team will not be interested in sleeping till after eleven PM and so we need to recognize that and the idea that you're going to suddenly change that I don't know how just by mandating an earlier start time you change that I wonder the people I've talked to up on dairy farms it is teenagers were up at three AM working on the farm before they went to school did they never get any sleep did their bodies eventually adjust and they would actually go to bed earlier I've milked the cow one time in my life it was not a good experience every is with us on the Clark Howard show hi how you doing I'm doing great how are you guard great thank you how can I be of service to you today well my lovely ninety year old father which I absolutely adore by actually gave out his social security number last week and I believe he said it was a social security that called him in a guaranteed hit some crisis or something so he gave out a social security number we had to do some work on it get that banks trying to stop any type of identity theft I just need some advice I don't know what steps I should take so that gave his number doesn't get used to are you know what your advice would be so I can't prevent every possible way that a criminal may try to cause mischief by having your dad social but the one thing you can do that a one in a most possible problems is to help your dad freezes credit files with the three major credit bureaus it's free so it will take you if you're sitting with your dad does your dad use a computer do you need to take a while top over I know and fortunately he's out of state so I I have frozen I opened up to account and I have frozen to Amman I mean a BLT credit bureau right hand was do that with the third one okay then you will have done the proper and right steps it is okay for your dad answering the phone and trusting somebody on the phone that's common with people that are older because they grew up in a different era where we didn't have all the con artists that we have today right and that that's the thing that's so sad he's beside himself and he knew eggs as soon as he gave it out he said all lord what have I done so you know I'm too trying to make sure there is no fires in credit card should I have him possibly call his credit card companies and issue out new cards with no no he didn't if you didn't give any of those numbers no doubt he did not object to social security the social security number is what he gave that would be the one that you would need to be concerned about there's one step I should have mentioned that comes before doing the credit freeze and that is that you should set up a my social security dot gov account for him social security dot gov you can set up something where you can track that nobody is playing games trying to steal his social security checks well one of the great okay here's the weird thing social security relies upon Equifax to determine whether or not somebody is who they say they are so you can only set up their continuing access if and Equifax credit file is thawed if you are you done the freeze with Equifax yes I am so you would have to temporarily thought that one and then you set up this the my social security and then you let it freeze back and then you'd be able to continually monitor that nobody's playing games with his social security benefits L. that'll be great okay that's terrific I'm really sorry this happened the great news is that a lot of people when they're older and they get scammed or embarrassed and don't tell their kids yeah so it's really it's really great that he told you because you're going to be able to beat both be on the watch and you will have taken steps to limit the damage yes Sir I'm trying not to drown about like this on him to be able to sleep at night not after worry about anything well that's great you're a wonderful daughter to be watching out for him Philip is with us on the car can our show hi Phillip Philip how can I be of service to you so I don't know what the question are you I have three sisters one of whom recently went through separation and divorce let's see Newman okay now yeah she is you make the best of it but you know it's definitely challenging along however with regard to my sister that divorce after everything kinda have finalized he discovered that her credit score a taking a pretty significant and open till the separation and divorce she had it really been that kind of that much that process he limiting herself and ultimately she cancel our cards and so the question I agree you was with regards to her her score drop like the better part of a hundred sixty points from the White approximately from eight fifteen to forty five currently and the only change that happened was she close several accounts yes Sir she called some of the account fell in welcome to you about one point from now until about March she one last point on using that as well not only for a little I'm not we need to we need to talk because there are different scoring models that are used yeah and the situation you described sounds like it's was so is a vantage score instead of a real fight goes to war the vantage scoring model closing accounts is devastating immediately for someone's credit score the good news is that very few lenders ever use the vantage scoring model they're real model that most lenders use is known as the fight goes score and the fight goes swore I'd be very surprised that would have fallen from the low weight hundreds to the mid six hundreds simply from closing accounts particularly if she has very little use of the credit cards that she happens yeah I I didn't think to ask her when I was trying to get facts last night about that what you mentioned the difference in the credit scores I my suspicion is that it actually is the ficus score there because she told me that she got her score from Equifax recently because she ran into some issues with them when he tried to freeze your credit she got the score from Equifax a fax is one of the owners of the VantageScore so could very likely be a vanity score and so on her credit card statements for signing in to the online access to the credit card she has many credit cards now give you your actual fight go score for free yes they die at every month she should go online and see is her fight goes score really under the candid distress you're talking about if it's a VantageScore it's not that important but there are closing accounts is risky when you close accounts it can impact your score because the the on the real story model the fight go score the amount of your credit that you're using accounts for a ballot a third of what makes up your credit score exactly it's thirty per yeah so what are you talking about so when you have a smaller number of cards it raises were so is your utilization with the balances you have sure and that can actually that can lower your score the candid number she says but if she's using if she has very little money outstanding on cards that would not likely be the cause and it would be very surprising that she would have had a big drop in score so Hey she ever signed up for credit karma I think she had all double check whether she's always been a very good steward our finances that and just like in terms of a risk profile very low rates good on payments and all that the the divorce that they have been really good on their mortgage payments and all of us yeah I think I wanted to do more digging I'm I'm hoping that this is a false concern and that this is because of the inferior modeling that the I believe that vantage represents and I would bet there an actual fight goes score would still keep her close to the rain she's been an unless there's some other factor she hasn't shared with you about what kind of balances could be outstanding honor cards the one other factor is if she had any joint cards with her now former husband if there any cards that he defaulted on that could easily droppers score those number of points you're listening to the Clark Howard show.

"The station seven sixteen KFMB often the federal government anything the fed's to any agency is extremely unpopular but one federal agency has done very well in any surveys of the public polling is the consumer financial protection bureau it is been there specifically to represent you and deal with rogue actions by banks and other financial organizations where there's never been a cop on the beat looking out for consumers tell the consumer financial protection bureau was created unfortunately the bureau now has a director who is clueless and knows nothing about banking or finance and I hate to say something bad about a particular individual but the reality is either out in Ivete or cynicism their new director of the consumer financial protection bureau really doesn't get it and in fact recently as reported by the LA times the bureau director is talking about a joint co branding where is H. and R. block for their prepaid MasterCard so the thing is the prepaid MasterCard to HR block offers isn't any good has a huge number of different fees you have to pay if you have their prepaid MasterCard and this is the problem so often with any stored value our prepaid card is you pay fifty on top of fee on top of three the LA times outlined all these various fees he might have to pay basic five dollars every time you load money on it among other fees and so this is absolutely out to lunch by the consumer financial protection bureau acting like organizations are supposed to oversee and when they get out of line and protect the public from acting like they're they're best buds and so this is this is terrible the consumer financial protection bureau for now remains the best place a consumer finance stock of to file a complaint if you have a problem with any bank or financial organization payday lender anything.
