"We are back and we appreciate you being here on this Thursday before good Friday. Yes, we will be here all day tomorrow. Jeff is up next in Ohio. Hello, Jeff. What's going on, Paul? Jeff, we're doing great. Thank you. Hey yesterday, I was I heard you catch a little grief about your JT Daniels little rant you had. I mean, but I have to admit Paul, I agree with you. I mean, it's not so much a crack against the kid directly, but how many guys like Griff and all these other guys that just constantly were talking about this guy like he was the, you know, gonna step in wherever he was, take over a starter and dominate and, you know, but never panned out the talking never stopped. I mean, don't you agree? Yeah, I probably overdid it, but and you're right. I don't have anything in the world against JT Daniels. I might even sure I've ever set eyes on him one on one, but it's just too much. He's now going to his third school. All I did was point out that he's failed to make a difference at both schools. He's been to he was hurt, but even when he wasn't hurt, the school had already moved on. Yeah, and the game that mattered, I don't recall ever seeing him off the sideline. And then when I thought was ironic, Paul was shortly after your rant. Your boy, I may have called in, and it kind of hit me a little bit. This guy's got this wrap with some great collar. But the guys got two topics. Saban and Jim. And it's like a daytime soap opera Paul. You know how those used to be? You could not watch it soap opera what 6 or 9 months turn it on and you never skip the beat 'cause it was right back where you missed. You left it off. When he was talking about Jimmy yesterday and I normally, you know, I don't get in the way of these calls, but I thought he went so far over the line, people can say whatever they want about Jim, but what he said was just dramatically inappropriate. Yeah, I don't know why you didn't click him off, Paul. I should have. I should have just ended the call right then. I agree with you. Yeah, I think you had your hand on the button. That's what I could tell. I could just, I could just feel it through the through the radio, you're about you had your hand on the button, but didn't want to dump it, but yeah, I mean, the guy, it's just typical with saving this, saving that, Saban's afraid, David's running away. David doesn't like competition. I mean, I don't know how you can crack on the guy. I mean, I want to be saving more than anybody. And I still relish the day that the Ohio State beat statement in the crimson tide. But you can't act like the guy, you know, is afraid of other people and speaking of Saban and his comment Paul, you know, I've been telling you the biggest problem with this NIL and portal is that unlike the NFL, there's no partnership in college and every day it gets proven again and again, these guys just basically don't trust each other at all. And they know that there's no way they're ever going to trust so my question is Paul. Are these conferences and commissioners and coaches? Do you ever see them getting along and trusting each other where they can solve these issues and even expand the playoffs? I'm wondering if that's ever going to happen. Jeff, I'm not sure. I think what it is going to take are the commissioners of the Big Ten and the SEC to finally say, okay, we need to come together. Now, it is a fact that they had a meeting in January of February at the Super Bowl and maybe that was the beginning of it. I know, I know they met. And but they need to align. And I think that's why the line whatever they call that thing a couple of months ago. It was bad for the sport. And what we got out of the alignment between the three conferences was no playoff and everybody needs to play off to expand. Right. Do you think you could ever see the day that ESPN Fox? Thank you and warn and whoever the commissioners are, the Big Ten, the SEC sit down and figure this thing out. No. I don't believe ESPN is in that business. I mean, I know a lot of people think they are, or maybe they should be, but they are concerned about the product on the air and in spite of all the accusations, including bob, I mean, they have influence, but they don't sit around and tell commissioners what to do. I know the person. Don't you think the NFL is to go the other way when these things happen. But don't you think the NFL is the enterprise it is because of their how they realize years ago that television was the answer. I agree. I totally agree with you. There needs to be some cooperation, but I think it will happen because I know I know both Warren and shanky moderately well. Thank you a lot better than Warren, but I know I know Warren to be a reasonable guy. And I know I know what he knows about what's happened in the past and one of his mentors is the former commissioner of the SEC who had a secret agreement with Jim Delaney to work things out in private and make sure that the trains showed up on time. Yeah, but these television networks and college football are so petty, you look at their when they put up games, if it's not on their network, they don't even tell you what they're going to pass. They can say whatever they want about me as an employee, but I don't have faith in the networks doing anything other than continuing to do what they're doing and trying to cut the best deals for themselves. Well, that's why I think thank you and Warren need to get these guys together and say you're not going to get the best deals or you're not going to get our right if you guys don't start working together. And the problem is NFL network promoting stuff. And even though the Big Ten has an agreement with the ESPN, the SEC, as you know, is now completely an ESPN entity or it will be as soon as this never ending terrible CBS. It's been that way for years. Come on. Phenomenal. You know that. No, I mean, I always, it only has two more years after this season, but it seems like it's the longest train to know where I've ever seen. Yeah, it's getting ridiculous, but I just think the bottom line is, I don't think anybody in college football, whether it's inside their conference outside their conference, nobody trusts each other. And that's no more evident than when other SEC coaches are basically calling them a correct and we saw that with lane kiffin going after Jimbo Fisher and it really did create a very unhealthy atmosphere. Thanks for the call. Auggie is up next. Well, Paul, I need to take a break after that headache of having to listen to Jeff. I mean, you have to really worry Paul when Jeff agrees with something you say. Yeah. I'm taking some medicine right now while you can't see me. Well, when you and Jeff are on the phone, if you didn't know any better, you would think there's a phone or a feud going on. Can you scream and you're trying to talk over in both talking over to each other? I'm like, oh God, this guy doesn't know when to not step on the host comments. So the Cicero of Columbus, you know, I wonder if Jeff is still using Chinese drywall in the house of these buildings. I wonder if he's even heard of that, but enough Jeff, Paul, this guy, JK, he's become a regular, but you know, the 90s called and they said that they.

"LSU team would have stopped Florida state's team head up and we're going to stop them this year in New Orleans too, Paul. And one more thing I want to say. He doesn't even know where to catfish. He's talking about catfishing and thomasville, Georgia. He needs to go to Lake Seminole in sneads, Florida, and by the way, I guarantee you my cheese grits and my hush puppies are far better than his two. I will take you up on that one day. Michael is in North Carolina. How am I going to go right ahead? You're on the air. Hey, Paul, thank you. I wanted to weigh in on JK. You know, this week being eastern everything, you think a lot about heaven and hell, but I always thought that and was tall growing up in Georgia that hail was a place where there was no hope. And I think if you tag yourself, Bama hater, you have already indulged the concept of no hope to the maximum degree. Poor old JK, he is just the epitome of living a life in a living hell. So we ought to have sympathy for him on this Easter weekend. I agree. We should all bow our heads and hope that he can be cured of the malady that is currently infecting him. Well, I think he's also attracted to those convicts and all sorts of underworld activities and then that's reflective of his allegiance to that Miami squad, but if he can, if he can overcome that, I think there's hope for him. There is always hope, reverend Michael, thank you for sharing that. Chris is up next in South Carolina. Hello Chris. Hey, Paul, how's it going, my friend? We are doing great. Thank you. A huge fan of much respect for you. And I just wanted to ask you, what do you think about the situation in old men? I'm a rebel alum and I feel really good about our potential, man. And I know you were there for a couple of games last season and what kind of what did you feel talking with lane in the environment down there? I feel a completely different vibe, almost has been through a lot, as you know, and to me, lane is the smartest coach they've had in a long time. I think he's recruiting a different type of athlete. He's also coaching at a level that I'm not sure the program has had. And I think they're also there's almost a cleansing in Oxford now of the past is gone the school, there's no real connection any longer, all the people that were around are gone, the coaches are gone. A lot of the administrators are gone. And it just feels like a fresh start. That was my sense being there. Yeah, I think it's pretty neat that we had the number one transfer portal class. I thought that was pretty interesting. Well, players, I mean, it's always difficult for all this to beat a lot of programs head to head. But once you go someplace, you know that if you go to all this and play for lane, then you're going to be taught at an extremely high level. And I think that is one of his advantages. I mean, he has the rep as one of the great play callers and in game coaches that we've seen. Thank you very, very much for the call. Mario is up next. A hello Mario. Hey, Paul, call you yesterday. Birmingham, 25 years and moved to the basement start calling you every day. Thank you. My pleasure. I didn't know if anybody has called about Jeff Klein ex quarterback at auburn has anybody called about that. But we were planning on mentioning it. It's an absolutely tragedy. Young guy played quarterback at auburn. A few years back and I'm glad you mentioned it. Well, thank you. Yeah, he's a horrifying soldier. If you know the auburn creed and they have a GoFundMe page to be able to get involved with that, but you know, Nick Saban, that NIL. Paul, he lost me back when we started doing the hurry up, no huddle. And he came out and it's dangerous for the players. It's not right. And while he was saying that, they were already planning to move to that. So he lost me there. So you think he comes out and says, I just can't, it's disingenuous, I think. Yeah, I would agree with you, Mary. I thought that was one of his worst moments, right? And it came, it didn't come from a position of strength either. And I think sometimes when you're Nick Saban, you speak almost as if you are writing the law yourself. And in that case, very few people have to be able to work with legends says about being the Muhammad Ali Muhammad Ali. We're the Bo Jackson of college sports. Well, so, hey, thank you for the call. And we are going to continue more of your phone calls here at 8 5 5 two four two 7 two 8 5 Mario mentioned the death of Jeff Klein, and it really is an incredibly sad story when you think about someone this young and the prime of his life and our deepest condolences to the auburn family and especially Jeff's family. "But what it sounded like he had these people want they want championship results, but they don't want championship expectations because for Alabama, is that going to the chairmanship? Or contended for the championship? It's winning the championship. Keyshawn Johnson will join us shortly. We'll talk about his Alma mater and the draft and more of your phone calls. It's been a busy afternoon here on the program. You were listening to the Paul fine bomb Joe podcast. Which grabs some more phone calls here as we move forward on the program and Henry is in Arkansas. Hello, Henry. Hello, Paul. Hey, man. I'm sorry. That bumps me out. That's some real live soul power there, man. When Jerome calls in and it's like 5 bombs sold vaccination. I can dig it. Can you tell I just saw a tower of power? And it just passed. It does sound like you're in the groove. Oh man, it was a great show. Tyler power, man. Check them out. Good soul. I think they got a couple shows in Tennessee here in the next week or two. But anyway, they had another song called, I still did James Brown. And in that song, they talk about, I had an attitude adjustment, some psychotherapy, some cell therapy, even Batman, a little ESP. And immediately, I thought of Brian parson. And I also thought of former presidential contender at last Stevenson at same time. But I think maybe Brian is connection with some folks now. Maybe he's having some of that attitude adjustment to cell therapy. Unlike LI Stevenson, who never overcame his connectivity. Well, I don't know if you've ever only ran for president twice in law. So Brian harsen has done his blow a game against Nick Saban. That's true. That's true. But Stevenson's poll numbers, I don't know if he was a 52 or 56 campaign, kept just plummeting. And he finally asked his campaign manager, what the hell is the problem here? And his campaign manager said, well, for example, that stopped today in Orlando. The little girl handed you that stuffed alligator? What you should have said was, thank you, sweetie. I'll place this beautiful gator on the mantle in the sitting room for everyone to see. Instead of what you did say, which was for Christ's sake, what is this? And then you briskly walked away. He also had the disadvantage of running against the most popular general since Washington. Yeah, my question is, why did he go back for more? Well, I don't remember because I wasn't really around, but I don't think the Democrats had too many good options. That has happened to them once or twice in history. We are continuing with your phone calls at 855-242-7285. I mentioned the archbishop will be with us tomorrow. It is good Friday. And we will have, I think we got one of the coaches on too. We had Billy Napier on earlier. Let's get right back to the calls. And Don is in Georgia. Hello Don. Hi, Paul. And thank you for taking my call. Thank you. I wanted to, I guess, respond to I'm an Aggie, I live in Georgia and I think in the last few months since the national signing day effort or hate directed towards a and M all the years that we've been in the conference, which I see is a good thing. All right, I'm loving it. And I think the majority of the people I see on Texas are going to take sags or fielding the same thing. It was kind of getting the polite pat on the back when you do something versus getting the hate. I think that just is, it shows nervousness because everybody aspires to be where Alabama is. You're not going to get there without making some people angry or at least some fan base is angry or maybe a little bit nervous. And I think that's what ain't it is doing right now as you pointed out to, I think it was to JK, I think it was we did beat saving this year. We did have a number one recruiting class. And it does take baby steps. If things happen two or three times in a row, then the frame is a tradition. So we're trying to head down head down that path. But I just wanted to kind of say that the signs are hitting in the right direction, pointing in the right direction and that the hate that we're getting, I think, for the most aggies are like, that's great bringing on. That means something good is happening for us. Well said, thank you very, very much. I appreciate your call. Thomas is in Florida. Hello, Thomas. Hey, Paul. Thanks for taking. Thanks for taking my call. I'm a long time listener to first time color. I appreciate you there. I just want to call in about that guy, Donald from Florida. You know, he was he was talking about how Florida state's national championship team would beat auburn championship team with Cam Newton. I wanted to call in pipe my two Sims in and let him know that the 2019 LSU team would have stopped Florida state's team head up and we're going to stop them this year in New Orleans too, Paul..

"The pride passion and pageantry of college football lives here. This is the Paul finebaum show hour three podcast. We're back, it's been a busy Thursday afternoon. We had Billy Napier the head coach at Florida on earlier keyshawn Johnson coming up shortly. Earl is in Florida and you're next up. Hello. Hello. How are you today? We are doing great. Thank you. I just had to call and say how much knowledge JK from Alabama really has. First of all, I did live in Miami for ten years. Lived down in homestead and worked for 8 of those years at northwest 36th street and 72nd avenue out by draft. During that period of time, as only time I went to university of Miami games was when Alabama play them, my kids got free tickets to go watch them because they couldn't sell them. They gave them out at the boys club and all of that. At any rate, the real story, JK is Alabama and Florida has played Miami have played 17 times. Miami lost 14 times. So don't call me telling me about Miami superiority. The first time they played was 1941 and Alabama won that one 21 to 7. So JK, you got something to say, call me. I will tell him, thank you for calling. Gayer is up next in Memphis. So hello, gator. Hey, what's up? Hey there. You always want to talk about that Jay JK guy too myself. I wish the Gators would play them because they would stomp them like they did last time they played them. And banana will be Georgia this next time. I mean, because they got that one game, but they're going to lose and that's this reality check. Well said, thanks, gator. I appreciate it. Jim is up next. Good afternoon, Jim. Hi, Paul. Hey there. Probably there. I am. Hey man. I've got a question. I'm like these other collars about JK. Where is this clown come from? And how does he get to call in so quick? And talk to the craft he talks. Hey, does he not realize what happened at the beginning of the season with his team? Miami and Alabama? He claims to have been at the game, but I don't remember seeing him. He must have been drunk with other kind of big sitting on the corner and he didn't get to watch the game. But on a second note, Jerome, I'll give him a fist bump any time I can get to him. Because he handled JK. And he was fine. The other day. They got on together and it was sad. It truly was. I tried to interrupt a couple of times to give JK a chance to put his teeth back in, but it didn't help. Well, he needs to get in some new polygon or something. And hold a man. But on the second note, all right, I called last week. And last week, the reason why I call it is because of the same time JK. Tried to scheduling, yes. Jimbo Fisher was the first assistant to beat saber. And then Kirby smart beating. International championship, which George has tried to beat him what, three or four times in our 6 times and kidnapping get there. They finally did. Kudos to Georgia. Probably won't happen again. It's probably going to be just like I was 2010 national championship. You know? So, and then on the second, the third note, my fiance college and the next day after I did, so and I just wanted you to know that I'm finally out of the doghouse for college and heard a burner freaking bacon. Oh, I remember that. That was a great call. And on the fourth note, you need to have a show down here, unlike Martin, on a big pine boat ride at chimney rock with the rest of the redneck Riviera. Well, anybody that's been the Lake Martin on a spring day like today. It's not coming home, so don't tell me, hey, thanks for the call. I appreciate it very much. K dobb in Birmingham is up next. What's up? There'll be how you doing, brother. How are you? Well, you know, I got to ask 'cause, you know, I'm doing a pretty good. I know you get that question. But you know, I got to check in on my partner. I want to encourage you and the rest of my Alabama family. To just let the haters hate, I mean, stop, stop trying to make the haters not hate. They doing their job easy. Maybe you coming in there with face. You getting all you stepping all in the way of a good hater. Let the haters hate bees. Don't get out in the field. Why are you in a family with the haters? This guy's been pulling this stuff for years. And if you've been going for it, you've been going against Alabama for years. You've been your college football life has been miserable. More often than it has been good. So let the haters hate. That's what they supposed to do. That's my message to you. Can you do that, please? Can you just have it in your name show where you just have to step in, where it's just as being wrong and you have to have to have to set people correct. You can't let the haters hate bees and why can't let the haters hate, but so you have to, you have to understand something, you've heard this guy, but he is now for the first time being exposed to a larger audience. So we're just giving him time to marinate a little bit before we wipe him out. Yeah, we've been pulling that. When we came up to the studio, it was doing this thing. They're pulling that same thing. And that's what it is. I mean, you got to go against, I mean, it ain't nobody coming over here. And talking against Texas or even George, even though they were in the championship, it's all about Bama. You got to come out and go against Bowman to be somebody. And that's where exactly the way it is. And my thing is with Jimbo fish too. Let me tell you this too. But everybody who don't think that Alabama is not going to catch her on the list going on. Yeah, Jimbo still should have gotten the class this year. And you think Nick Saban, or Alibaba going to sit right here and let him stack class out the class out the class after this? Yeah, it's in 2022. It's too much technology and too many ways to find out what they did. We gonna figure it out what they did. We gonna do it too. We're gonna even do it better. So how do people who think that this is just gonna continue to happen? Then he's just gonna continue to stay class out the closet. And I think you even kind of saying what this year, I hear this, or we can't do it this year, it takes a and M can't do it this year because he is a freshman. He been there 5 years. I think you had made that point out that it's time right now. We don't want to hear about we got to stack class after class. These are when you gonna draw the latter saying even he's gonna win this year or are we tired of hearing this crap in the season? You can't do that to jumbo Fisher. You upset too many of those people around him and you can't talk to him like Nick Saban. Maybe he does have that one national championship to save in 7..

"We are back and it is great To have keyshawn johnson on the program who is of course Part of espn radio's morning team. And you see him all the time and truly one of the great football players in college in. Nfl history the first player taken in the nfl draft after he was an all american at usc. Keyshawn it is real. Been with you a million times on your shows have been around you and What a pleasure to have you come into our little neighborhood good afternoon. Football and the main reason is that usually I get accused of being a coach killer but you ended up getting fired. This time around Keyshawn very outspoken about klay hilton in the aftermath of the embarrassment. Saturday night in keyshawn. Of course Seemed like he was inevitable Once once that game ended you seem to be ahead of the curve on that. Well i think you you know. It was something that needed to happen. At the time in our leadership we need to go in another direction in order to get back on track as you know many years at you as you covered college football weary tile program that has kind of been repeat washing. Ranch repeat washing rent and we wanted to finally get away from that Yes if we were in the final. Four at the end of the season play extension. If we lose a game you probably fire. Well guess what. We lost the game. And i and i think this was the situation might bone that. The athletic director had an opportunity to evaluate Clay hill nova period of time and he came away feeling along with carol folks. The president university that it was time to make a leadership change. And you know when you are proud of your university and you wanna see your university talked about with the light of the alabama clemson the ohio states in the world right now in college football. That is something that you want to hear. You don't wanna hear that. Oregon in the pac twelve is head and shoulders above the usc football program. You don't wanna hear that because as much money as phil knight has it as much money feel nike and company to oregon's athletic program till night is the university of southern california I'll touchdown in deeper. Conversation routes call if you go back to nineteen seventy in the late sam bam cunningham and i tell people all the time say. He's the reason the the sec. He integrated asking americans or better yet. He's play persuaded their bryant to integrate the alabama program. But that was all usc when you have that rich history of something. You want to make sure that that could teams and we. We got away from that. We got away from that rich history. And now we're trying to get back there. And hopefully whoever they hired the next year coach will understand vicious dot university in this about a game to play with. When you come to be a trojan head coach sean. I want to talk about that for a second. Because you're right and you know we're we're a lotta younger people. Watching or listening. I mean they know pete carroll and they've seen what's happened since but but john mccain as one of the greatest coaches and in college football history john robinson. There's a long line of sc coaches who who are who are part of the hall of fame and who who helped build this. When you played there you grew up in los angeles. I'm curious what it was like. It'd be part of that university because it has lost some of that. At least from a perceptive standpoint you apply. I grew up a stone. Throw away from the university. My apartment building. We can sit on top. It's almost like the chicago cubs stadium. I can sit on top of our roof in watch mark. Maguire hit a home run or randy. Johnson strikeout people. When i was growing up. That was all. I knew if you didn't want to go to. Usc it was either one thing you were not good enough. It wasn't a matter of wasn't even wasn't even close to anything of it. Well he's probably not good enough that's why he's going somewhere else. In this day and age we got players leaving southern california to go all over the country. That is not acceptable. You you bree cardinal and gold this to one program on the west coast that i would say people support the university's football program. Even though they didn't attend university see again. There are people better. Usc fan bed did not attend the university. That is how rich the supporting system is in the football program. In and it's i remember. I remember running out of the tunnel in nineteen ninety five and when i came out of college tunnel and i stepped on the grass. Paul you thought. I was a six year old baby. Who stepped on a nail. I cry with big tears. Because i finally got a chance to run out of the tunnel where the us a uniform and it was amazing. Chilling in that is what we have always been about guys dreaming as kids of becoming usc football players. You go to rouge a weekend. There kids who dream of running out of the lsu tunnel you go to alabama. Oh my god. There were kids that dream of running out of alabama journal. Well that's not the case anymore and we've got to get back to that question that's been asked all day long or at least since yesterday as you know. What should the leadership at this university. Your university do. I know you you. You are part of that. You'll be consulted you'll be asked What would you tell them if they if and when they ask you get it right get right listen rush lifts not do something for self-preservation A lot of times we felt as part of the university and that the several hires in the past was because the athletic department mini me. People were in the afternoon apartment for many years so the easy thing was. Hey let's hire somebody. That was part of pete carroll's situation and we now could be taken care of and make sure self-preservation we don't going where everything will be fine and higher lane kiffin. There's higher steve sir keith you oh this. Fire lane kiffin. Let's not go in bringing body we're gonna get our oldest fire. Oda best thing to do is just hire somebody on his staff the preservation what i would say to that is at that time based on where steve sarkisian was in his personal life in where our university was. The best thing to do was hire somebody who calmed the waters in a guy with clear hilton. He was not going to create the same sort of issues that a young immature lane. Kiffin created or a young immature. Steve sarkisian created for the university was going to be stabilized in. Hopefully he would mature into their head. Coaching role in guinness over the top for the national championship. Now we've seen that now. We need to hire somebody that can take us to the next step who that somebody is right now. I have no idea. I have no idea. I know what a person will look like when i see it all right now..

"Quickly and easily over wifi. Visit sonos dot com to learn more. Welcome back to my friend. Minute ago. From jasper alabama. I haven't updated and i i was. I was incorrect about malnourished. He was technically recruited by the previous staff that preceded coach bryant. And so he did me coach bryant and usa jokin jokingly. Tell the story that the first time he met him he was shaking so much brian subtle. A him he said. I'm elmore nice to meet you. Bear and he said he never made that mistake again. he was from dosier alabama. Which i believe is more south central alabama near laverne alabama on the way to the beach. let's see so anything else you want to know about mel more. I'll be more than happy to provide you with a signed copy of his book which he did right. Let's get back to the calls and checking with brian. Who was in new jersey. Hello brian i wanna jacket. Estate team florida state. And you can use florida. State's at joke They have undisciplined. players They they let a they let an easy. An easy play should have been the end of the game turned into the winning touchdown. So now jackson state going to be like a team. That's going to be a sleeper team to get into the national championships first of all. It's called jacksonville. State and It's a it's an fcs team. So i think you're going to see them as a challenger for the cfp you don't don't bounce back. No i don't think florida state is dead. I think their season went down the drain. And i see no road back for that program. Thank you mrs. Lincoln did you enjoy. I mean listen. I thought after the notre dame game this the seminoles on a lot to build on but i i think they threw it all away and You see you see. I didn't see anything in that game. That impressed me you watch watch watch the last play of the game It tells you everything you need to know about that program. Let's continue and sam is up next in kentucky. Hello sam hello paul Not a data frequent collar but very frequent listener. Very much. Like a mike from jasper. Uh i'm recently retired and also seventy two years old. And i think we're headed into what i call the best one hundred to one hundred twenty days of college sports and i just wanted to call and command you all for the good job as you i have. I'm a little bit of a traditional traditionalist. Paul if help me. I'd like you to champion something that you know. We got texas and oklahoma coming in and twenty four to thirty six months. Maybe and we need to straighten out something for texas. Okay do me a favor of raise your right hand up and hold up your index finger and your little thanks and that's the way people in texas right now kind of do the hook them horns while in my hay day back in the middle of the last century hook. Them horns was the index finger. The middle finger were down. The little finger stuck it up in the thumb stuck out and hold your hand up like that that is hook them horns. Oh so. I don't think they need to straighten it out and you play is a clearing house for the top drawer league in the country's south eastern conference. And if you do that you could straight those people from texas out. I know horns down better than horns up I had enough people in arkansas. Teach me how to do it. Yes well hey hold your hand up now. Now what what do you call this when your fingers are weird when join your your middle finger and your third finger down. Have your an that way your little finger near tom. Straight out cameron. And if you do that that's the way a texas longhorn steer looks. Is that a steer right there. Okay well turn you. Yeah turn your hand round. I'm holding mine up here at home right now. I took them horn. You're you're right Every steer i've ever known look more like that than the than the traditional. Hey thanks so much for the call. We have plenty of time to get an education on the horns up appreciate it. Let's check in with pappy. Who is up next in houston. Hello pappy. I had no paul. Thanks for taking my call. Thank you listen. Just curious From my assessment Presuming we win the other two. Talk about lsu when the other two cupcake games. We've got to win three games. Three games to avoid losing a losing season and four to to have a winning season. Could you go down the scheduling and let me know which three or fourteen g think. We have the best shot at this point time. Considering all the play from the first two weeks of the season we have her schedule. So i see a win against central michigan. That puts you a two in one. And i for the life of me cannot predict Any other game other than monroe. See four wins for automatic wins. That's hold on one. Two three three three wins and give me a fourth win. What's the next easiest win. Can't find one you. Yeah no yeah. I see what you're saying now if you want to talk about what. The most critical game of the season is going to be. It's going to be mississippi state a loss. There is going to devastate the season because then Auburn kentucky florida at on this at alabama. I mean that's that's that is a murderer's row. And then the arkansas. An finish show. I i i happen to think. Lsu will get through. Some of the. I don't think lsu will have a losing season. I think they'll have a winning season and it's four. Sec teams okay. okay. I think i think the most winnable games are going to be auburn and arkansas. Okay read the reason simple. There are at home. Yeah okay all right well thank you. I appreciate your alison. I just wanted to thank you for an interesting about your call is we. Went from thinking Lsu go ten and to easily to now. We're not sure where they're going to win it. It's you don't know yet i mean i. I still happen to think. They've got a lot of great players on that team. So i would go on the high side but i really do need to see the mississippi state game because lsu has left a lot to be desired. Mitch is up next in florida. Hello mitch hey. How are you doing today mitch. We were doing great. Thank you well. I'm a kennedy ball down here in florida. And i wanted to talk about the quarterback situation at ut knoxville. Okay sure I just can't help but feel that harris Bailey that they put those two quarterbacks in before he him and Why wouldn't hair some bailey. go train. Spur proposal if them coaches him to quarterbacks was bad you're you're right. I mean know. One from virginia tech one from michigan. And suddenly you think you have a shot at starting being a starter and the next thing you know. You're you're relegated to the back of the bench. Yeah Milton i'm mean wide. Receivers run the nope. And he stole it hundred miles an hour over their head and the khokar he could throw a little bit. Around the line of scrimmage out. I just don't believe able one of them of better than harrison bailey. Who was recruited by tennessee into their program. Mitch i think comes under. The heading of new is better. We we see that in in every industry and every business. And i. I suspect josh hypo got there and said you know what I don't like what the previous group had. And.

"Board for the first time. I have not peeked. I have no idea if there are any call. Wouldn't that be weird if i look down there. One day didn't see a single call it happened. It's happened i promise. Let's get to the calls and talk to pat in georgia. Hey paul thanks I wanted to talk about the georgia. South carolina game in south carolina. They travel very well. But i did in your opinion did georgia's offense answered the bell last saturday or was that just uab I frankly had a good team. So i was a little bit surprised by that I think i think we saw georgia against a defense not among the two or three best in the country and the and they let loose just like we thought they would well. That's that's good Because that was probably suspect after the clemson game I'd start steps and bennett. What would would you start steps and bennett if you were. Kirby depends on the health of jt daniels. Jt was healthy. I would start him. I i think. I don't believe in playing musical chairs. But i really don't think it matters. I think they'll destroy south carolina. Whether stetson bennett zack bennett bennett. Jones or pat from georgia was the quarterback. Oh my goodness well. I i have no eligibility left but Well south carolina travels well. I'm interested what cat daddy has to say about the game coming up I think it's a a a win. And i think george will show up and they. They're kind of got some revenge going by the way. I don't think it matters whether they travel well or not. They're playing georgia on a saturday night. So you're talking about now more you have of course man more so Him allah family. Well i'm trying to think alabama need a pat on the back. I do know that story. I'm trying to think whether howard schnellenberger would still. I think yeah howard definitely would be would have been there at the time and he thought he was going to be this. He told me the story wants and she said. I thought i was going to be the starting quarterback and i looked around and there was this kid from beaver falls pennsylvania also also on the depth chart which turned out to be key missing it up. He he had an amazing amazing career and a better man has never been been born I walked the face of this earth and mala more correct. Keep up the good work Listen i know everybody loves you. "Welcome to another day. Great to have all of you here on this tuesday. Thanks for being a part of the program. We think we have a pretty good show on tap and we hope you'll just stick around as long as you can. You can stick around the whole show. That's four hours of your life right there. let's get some headlines and let you know what is happening in. yeah. The florida situation remains interesting. What should they do. They have to good quarterbacks or do they. I know one thing is certain. They have alabama coming in this weekend. Shane beamer remember. He was here last night telling us that his kids were second guessing him today. He's not second guessing. Anyone he's laying the platitudes at the feet of kirby smart and the georgia bulldogs. Can you guess that is the next game saturday night. You guys know better than me. You many of you have followed. Sec football warmer than i have but he may have probably does have the most talented football team in the history of georgia football and that's not an embellishment and coachspeak and all of that when you look at From top to bottom the eleven that start on offense the eleven that start on defense all of their special teams units the depth. They have the size the physicality the speed. They have hold on just a second. He just got through saying you guys have covered it longer than i have so in other words. I'm not really an expert but this is the best team of all time. Okay that we can get back to the show. I was just wonder. I was just talking to myself there. Does that make any sense. We'll must champ is helping georgia prepare for south carolina. No no. He's at georgia now. He's no longer south carolina. Remember two years ago. We'll mush chambal at an upset of those dogs. And now he works for them but he still collecting money from south carolina by the way southern cal continues to look for a new coach. He was amount about this moment. A day ago that southern california director mike bone called in clay hilton. And said you're gone. I know there's only been two games. We've seen enough. Here's ten or twelve million or whatever we owe you just get out of here as fast as possible. We'll talk about that with one of the great southern cal players of all time thirty minutes keyshawn johnson clay helton to who is going to take his place We talked a lot about it yesterday. Could be james franklin. He's got a game. This weekend and gets auburn mario cristobal. Who's been here a few times. Or maybe gus malzahn. I was just. I was i was just making that up. "Sounds on you, Keyshawn Johnson, J. Williams and Max Kellerman. Sam Donald to me, maybe a great for a quarterback. I don't know that he'll be a great NFL quarterback. I thought when he got drafted, he had chance to be a good one. But what I've seen is not that I know he checks a lot of boxes. But does he checked them at a high enough level? I've seen Zach Wilson do things where you go. That's a little differently. Talented Keyshawn J Will and Max mornings on ESPN Radio and on the ESPN F Now on SportsCenter all night. "Is where allies are huge. This is where the key of the world the those. Yeah king every time. I try to help trying to come on here you go. There go to pry ongo more glitter on one kid jason on him and he made the whole. So it's it's tough because as members of the community. I always think about being Because of my experience at harvard westlake and other institutions. Like that where you are. Maybe the only or one of a couple minorities in the room in anything in walks of life especially in corporate america decisions being made. If if you don't have those allies in the room things could just just go over. I mean you know for simply just shooting commercial in if somebody's not in the room that can identify and that's not right people. Just sign off on it like. Oh yeah it's the right thing to do. And then he gets out into the open marketplace and they go will. Was anybody in the room. The screen at the able to say that's not right you know and that's the same thing what you're talking about there. Is anybody in the room this able to say will. What does that mean. Can that person help us advance to where we want to be as an organization can he advance or she does can nate helpless. And that's all that matters. So i love to talk quick story a think maybe break. You've heard this story before but it it involves my brother. The warriors had a a a road game and during one of the time outs they had the kiss cam going. And at the end of the kiss cam segment. They flashed to the warriors bench and the pa announcer was saying you know. Go ahead and get a little closer. You know you wanna give him a kiss. Crowd starts laughing and then my brother is sitting there watching this and this is a gay joke at the end of the day. This is a gauge. Oh this is wrong. So the warriors and up winning the game because back then he goes up to the to the announcer and to the head of in game and says do you realize that that segment what the message is that you're sending their and that you're you're encouraging people to laugh at two men who get to. This is a joke and this is wrong. Well that announcer in that head of in game entertainment for that organization They were very dismissive of my brother. And my brother ended up. Cussing him out the law. Jared the and this is where you need allies can he told he told he's akc he goes to his boss. He's like hey. I might have done something. Steve steve was totally called. If anybody knows. Steve steve's like he's the ultimate allies. So steve was like you did what you had to do. So jaren told me about that. And this by this point i'm working for the nba and my boss I had a. I was actually in new york for meetings. And i just happen to have a meeting the next day with kathy barons. Who is a president vice president In the league president of player programs So i told her about what happened the next day. The president of that organization called my brother to apologize to him for what happened and so that that will never happen again. A few months later. I go to an event in washington. Dc and i'm speaking and there's That particular teams organization ahead of their philanthropy. Group is there. And i when they say that they work for this team. I say oh. My brother had an interesting interaction with your team recently. And that's when that person said that was your brother. Can you please thank him. Because i've been going to games and that person is a member of the community but they were hesitant to say something but because my brother and being an ally spoke up and dot person was just so thankful that my brother did that and that they didn't have to you know see that anymore while go into their job. And i think that's to a couple of things. The first thing is a allies. Shoot using your voice and platform be that sometimes when you are that minority in the group in the room you don't always feel comfortable speaking up constantly over and over again and that's again why you need those allies to third thing. The nba isn't necessarily aware of every single thing that happens in an arena but if they do find things can change very quickly and we. I think we are the most responsive league with regards to any kind of situation like that That we can instantly impact change very very quickly. So i'm very proud that our league our team that france you know ultimately you know the right thing ended up happening but it was. It took an ally using their platform in their voice to get it to happen. That's a great story this isn't a tribute to the nba. Today but the role. I do believe the answer. Your question L. zia's yes. The league organization is ready to do whatever it takes. And you know i i. I love that. I have been on a new york city. Pride float going the commissioner of the league. Gay referee Myself and others and hundreds of nba employees. I'm i'm not sure. The other leagues have replicated kind of a commitment to to inclusion diversity that the nba has. No i'm gonna feel certainly has not Gone down that track right. I mean it. Just i think in time it will come right now just. Nfl's been around. You know what sixty years we'll say over one hundred hundred and three years or something like that. You got a hundred and three years. How much more time. I just need to write it down. So i can put it on the calendar. Go down there track eventually. They'll you know how you come on man They tolerate certain things at other leagues. Wouldn't tolerate gonna think it's seen such as more of a macho sport that people look at gay as not macho will you talking about male. They just do. It's not right stupid. It's illiterate you you think about it l. z. You would.

"Here wherever listen rick. That's conversation though isn't just about the men on the field on the diamond on the court but it also extends to in the office in the c. suites of these franchises. You know you're set to retire. At the end of the season from the golden state warriors. Congratulations but once you do. Correct me if i'm wrong. Number drops back down to zero in terms of opening gate team presidents. Not to suggest that there are closeted team presidents but do you feel as if there is a clear pipeline so if someone was openly gay and wanted to be an executive for professional sports team that pipeline will be uninterrupted. The and that's the big question each of those people's asking themselves right and just because of the way. My story unfolded. I get to talk to a lot of those people who are in a position where they're not comfortable whether or not coming out in their organization is going to impede the opportunities that they have in front of them to in on the management side of sports. Just as. i would hope that jason's coming out would have spurred more players being competent taking that step. You know frankly. I'm oldest. it. Hasn't you know at mont at at the team president level done that. Certainly i think has changed dramatically. The last decade In our organizations. And i have a lot of really positive stories to tell about executives who have come out in their team organizations But not not at the presidential level and that you know again that that that is. That's a step that. I would love to see someone else. Take but it's it's the one that You know. I'm not sure about like tell one story maybe like that. I was really happy to have done what i did. You know we have. We had the incident in charlotte hadn't been awarded. Nba all star game and shortly thereafter. The state of north carolina pass this terribly. Discriminatory legislation called hp to north carolina's bathroom. Bill says people can only use the bathroom in public and government buildings that matches the sex listed on their birth certificate opponents. Call it discrimination against lgbt people supporters. Say it's about safety and the league with the i league to be put in position making a decision about should we go forward hosting the all star game in charlotte and It was it. Was you know. We love our team in charlotte. Michael jordan owns the team in charlotte You know my counterpart fred would feel the rockstar there. But we had to make a decision and we had a board of governors meeting in july in las vegas. And adam silver came over to me before and said i'm gonna let you have the last word on this and So we kind of go around the room. Everybody says that they're going to say. And adam called me and i could look at the other owners of teams and say look. I want you to have one thing in mind. I'm in contact with people in your organizations many of you who are not yet comfortable to bring their their authentic self to work and they're going to be watching and judging like based on what you decide here how you feel about inclusion how you feel about your lgbtq employees and you know proudly the they did the right thing and we didn't go to charlotte. We did go back to charlotte when the legislation was changed. You know we gotta do stuff like that we gotta we gotta take those opportunities to talk about it and make a statement and and stand up for it and i think you know for me. That was a blessing to be in a position. Where where i could have some influence there and can i just say how proud i am of rick for doing that. Just because so many of us In the community were not in the room where it happens kind of to to quote hamilton but those people who are in that room where the decisions are made for them to speak up and use their voice and rick did that on behalf of the entire community and It was huge because of nba deciding to change. That ben started the ncaa and was sort of like a chain reaction in the sports world But a lot of that in rick deserves a lot of credit for using his voice in that room. Thanks to using. That is the first step towards inclusion listening to the people in the room but the second step. The one that worries me most is happens. What is said. What are the policies put in place when they're when we aren't in the room in other words do we feel is the the nfl the nhl major league baseball the nba. Do we feel as if these leagues are prepared to make those type of decisions without having an lgbtq person in the room helping them navigate those waters so this is where allies are huge. This is where the key of the world the those. Yeah king every time. I try to help trying to come on here you go. There go to pry ongo more.

Colin Murray was named the nb pit since we had the pay Marchand Broken chair have to make interception. The Madden Pro Bowl was more entertaining than the actual game. Um No, not really. I'm not in the gaming. That's all I can say that that was that was more imitating. Not that they love the actual game. But at least the sideline interviews are interesting. And, you know, engaging and up front. Um, Usually the weather is nice, you know, hasn't been that way in Orlando because of the rain. Take it back to Hawaii. Man making a vacation. Make it worth the trip for the guys that are actually in the game. Then it will be. Then it will be the Pro Bowl again. Until then. It's just kind of like an all star gathering. Yeah, yeah, out of bounds. I got no time for this. I mean, I'm not saying what they what they did wasn't cool for some And I'm not here to to disparage gaining. Obviously, you know, when I was a kid, I was younger. I played a ton and I'm sure I'll get into it More's as my kids get into him or but, you know, I've managed to find the night. Listen, I got enough going on being a dad. Two little ones working being a good husband doing all that we have to do. I'm not saying that you can't do all that while still being a gamer, But you know, I'd rather spend my free time You know whether it's at the gym or, you know, burning five hours of golf course or whatever I'm doing. We're just quite frankly having a couple of drinks. I'm just I can't sit down and play video games and I definitely can't sit down and watch people play. That's not to say it's not huge business it is. I know all about which I know unless and I own Activision Stock. Trust me. I mean, I understand it, but for me to sit down and carve out time So what's people play a fake Pro bowl? Crazy? "On ESPN Radio on the ESPN app. The NFL playoffs have arrived, played by covert issues the Browns would try to do the impossible. There's no question about it. I mean, this. Burg has an advantage that back to Cleveland hasn't even been able to get into the facility this week. Tomorrow in the Ravens are looking for revenge against the Titans. That was at that game last year in the stadium was shocked that not only did they lose, they got dominated in the embassy ball, Brother Square off for the first time. Step back three is God love, Mellow Ball buries a three No Katie and carry once again Got it. He got fouled lover to go to the line. Looking for his 40th point of the game. Jim Harbaugh stays put in Ann Arbor, demonstrating patients in college football's rare and actually the right thing to do in this spot and a baseball legend passes away. He loved being Tommy Lasorda, and he did it exceptionally. Well, This is SportsCenter all night. Here's our old cow. The NFL wild card weekend is upon us. Welcome one. Welcome all to SportsCenter all night, ESPN radio. And Sirius XM Channel 80. We got triple headers on Saturday and Sunday, including a rematch of last year's divisional playoff tilt between the Ravens and Titans. That Sunday 105 p. M Eastern start on ESPN and ABC. We begin here, however, with the late game on Sunday, the Cleveland Browns in the post season for the first time since 2002. They will travel to face the team they beat in week. 17 toe punch their postseason pass the Pittsburgh Steelers. But this time Big Ben and company will be in the lineup. Speaking of line up, the Browns have had Cove it concerns this week and we're on Lee able to practice for the first time this week. Al Michaels Sunday night football on NBC on Greenie with Mike Greenberg. You know they're They're just trying to move past this and look ahead because you sit there and you lament what's going on. I mean, that that can weigh on you. Look, there's no question about it. I mean, Pittsburgh has an advantage. The fact that Cleveland hasn't even been able to get into the facility this week. They haven't practiced not only the head coaches out too good, but Tonio is out to get us Hodja special teams. Maven is out who knows between now and then what's going to happen? One advantage they have, of course, is the fact that you have no fans there. I guess they can have friends and family to the extent of 2500 fans, which is the equivalent of nobody there. So at least you know Mayfield can control the signals can change to play at the line of scrimmage. And that's just a slight advantage that they wouldn't have had under normal circumstances more from Max Kellerman, ESPN radio, I'm more concerned about the fact they haven't practiced. Then the fancy won't be their political in the plays, actually, because while it is true that play calling is a big part of what a coach does preparation is too and not just that weeks preparation, the culture set since the preseason the way they've got about their their business all year. That that team is a team. It's a team. They have an identity. They found it through the year. Run the ball. Stop the run. Baker make enough plays in the moment of truth to take us there. So how bad will it be? For the Browns? Keyshawn Johnson, ESPN radio, I was given hope to the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland faithful that they would go into Pittsburgh and get a playoff win. But it's not gonna happen. As far as I'm concerned. You got big being They know what it's right. You know, Pittsburgh know what's riding on this and you look at what Kevin so fast he means to this team and I know yes, they can gain plan and they could do all the conversations in everything through zoom, But when you're not on the practice, not on the practice field in rhythm in sync. We coaches that are not that you're not used to calling plays in in your ear things. They're going to be very difficult. It got very hard when they lost their hair coach to covert. You got very, very hard for them to go into Pittsburgh and win this game. The Steelers should win. They should advance to the second round SportsCenter all night. ESPN radio The Baltimore Ravens travel to Nashville to face the Tennessee Titans. Kickoff is at 105 P M. Eastern on ESPN and ABC last year in the divisional round. The Ravens were upset at home by the Titans, 28 to 12. Last year's M V P. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will be taking on 2000 plus rushing yards. Titans running back Derrick Henry on Lee, the eighth NFL player to do that. In one season in history. ESPN is Laura Rutledge on the chimney and Golic Jr show. I would actually say that if you talk to Lamar, the person who put the most pressure on them are actually is the marsh himself. Right. So all these Ravens fans are Doubters of Lamar, You were like this guy. Doesn't win in the playoffs. He's putting more pressure on himself than anybody else is not because he demands excellence out of himself all the time. And so I do think that it eats at him that he didn't get those playoff wins. He's been one and done now, couple times his experience, but it's such a small sample size and what I believe will be such a great career for Lamar Jackson. And I think this year will be different. I mean some of it. Through the fact that he's playing such great football right now. It has been over these past few weeks, but also has to the fact that the Titans defense is historically bad. But I think that Lamar thrives under the pressure that he put on himself because that's how he's always been even going all the way back to high school. That's how he was. He's always been the guy that people doubted, really played quarterback. And he continued to prove people so wrong at every single step of the way. ESPN NFL analyst Ryan Clark on SC with Kevin Negandhi. He gets the win against the Tennessee Titans. Listen, this defense in Tennessee hasn't been playing well, and Lamar Jackson has finally found his stride this season in the last five games. Great Roman, stop this. Let's turn Lamar Jackson into Joe Montana experiment and allowed him to be the best athlete on the field. This is open up the run game for JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards, also the passing game on the outside. Mark Jackson starts this game fast finishes strong and they get the win SportsCenter all night ESPN radio onto the MBA for the first.

Cowboys to move on without Jason Garrett

"Jason Garrett's time up as coach of the Dallas Cowboys Edward a reporting Jerry Stephen Jones have decided coach will not be part of the organization moving forward on Friday and paid Simmons on why this process lasted so long after the season to other Jerry and Stephen Jones have moved slowly out of respect for Jason Garrett you know they have a long history with him as a backup quarterback you to this is that coach a head coach's father was in the organization when Jerry bapa team as a scout and they finally concluded that phase of this process and that's going to end with Jason Garrett not being a part of the organization beyond his expiring contract and when exactly they make that announcement I thought sure what I've been told soon and that the next phase will have them moving into the process of interviewing candidates in the battle begin quickly after phase one is totally finished off yes was contract set to expire January fourteenth status with the team at issue since last February the cowboys didn't give a contract extension they missed the playoffs in twenty nineteen finish eight neighbor the four time in his tenure as coach Keyshawn Johnson on the job candidates and Jerry Jones himself he was on sports and we stand ready to make a decision on it there was the eight their long term in the obvious would clearly felt that their work you say while they waited till Thursday well the food that just won't really it just is so you kind of say okay take a deep breath we get back to the facilities we talk about a little bit we think about we pondered overnight we need or Thursday we meet on Tuesday we meet on Wednesday we have a conversation and we finally so you know women the best thing for us to do if not give the public what they looking for what they looking for me to do is be extremely mad and walk out of there on Sunday night if fire you on the tarmac so instead of doing that this call wait a couple days are you playing for the cowboys you're familiar with Jerry Jones and and and his thinking all what happens next now in this search for the next cowboys head coach I think a guy like Mike Zimmer Minnesota Vikings head coach could potentially be a candidate you say how could that be well I I II coach there in the deepest corner along try defensive coordinator for Jerry Jones is the bill Parcells fact either stay here they know what they're getting in that particular coach but also there's a young officer coordinator in cabin step band he this sitting there in Minnesota the Minnesota Vikings don't want to part ways with him they don't want him all of a sudden start to get interviews and become a category another team so I would be surprised if somehow might dimmer wind up being the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys in the cabinet she takes over as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings so a lot of story lines this call come about here over the next with date but I think this time around you will get the head coaching job right where the coach may be season one more before we go do you think that at this point Jerry Jones is ready to surrender more control to a head coach now then he has been willing to in the past as bill Parcells left and and I want to turn this on your stamina I am right now status is not a defense Jerry Jones was some what he is and even as well as we clay as well as Jerry junior what is your you Jones gone wrong with that organization other than the head coaching hire that's a very good question that's very good everybody everybody everybody said here you're you're here the one on that team thank you for calling the latter team for the National Football League I would I would argue and say that their top five channels it is four tally dole is a National Football League the problem is that head coach because you're you're not holding the plate yeah well that gives the player is a free pass for having innate need season the talent on the field didn't win enough games he and Garrett will finish as the second longest tenured and second most winningest coach in team history Tom Landry a record of eighty five and sixty seven the wonders to playoff games unable to get past the divisional round Mike wells Myron Medcalf on Freddie Fitzsimmons the Dallas Cowboys there you know they draw attention but the the the days of being America's team and wanted to be part of what is age and it's not the same anymore it is not the same strictly because of what you have to deal with away from just coaching of football team is not simply you know put together a strong staff the coaster brakes of Amari Cooper Ezekiel Elliott and dak Prescott it's also having the answer constant questions from your boss the owner Jerry Jones deck could become a headache when you're you can't simply just focus on the task of putting your team in the proper position the try to have success there's a side show that comes with it and some people are built or not built to be able to deal with that so you got to find the right coach who is not only a great Exynos guy but somebody who's mentally strong enough to handle the constant you know looking over the shoulders and the pestering of your boss meddling in the inside of things wonder why things are not going well or to give us suggestions on what you should be doing that's not something easy that everybody can handle that type of situation well it and not everybody wants it and that's why I think a lot of these cultures your Matt rules related rallies urban Meyer's why except that to me if you're not going to modernize the structure of your organization so that your owner can do what every other owner does and take a backseat and not be this forward facing figure who's hosting its own press conferences after the game sometimes undermining the head coach then then how can you expect to attract a great candidate bomb out rule no one eight I'm leaving Baylor I got a chance to build something there if I'm leak in Raleigh I'm in Oklahoma and every year I get a chance to go to the college football playoff leave in Oklahoma where I can coach for another decade at least about continue to succeed ever murmur Meyer I'm not leaving LA or on the TV analyst making good money watching a lot of football injuries bouncing around the country see a lot of teams to go to Dallas where I've got a deal with Jerry that's why I think it's going to be difficult if Jerry Jones wants to continue to be Jerry Jones I don't think Mike he's going to end up with any of the top candidates identifying potential replacements Bobby carpenter and fox college football reporter Bruce Feldman gas on Freddie impede Simmons Stephen Jones Jerry Jones offered that coaching job urban Meyer she would say I think that's a hard job to say no urban probably wouldn't be needing to be for another year is that all you but who knows enough the big job at the glamorous job and remember the nose you know damn owns his courage and damn ongoing expound acted it all back thank god yeah I was supposed to do the oil itself journal part of mine and to buy that it was offered so you're going to want to meet your need to guide it was a proven track record we've done it before who's been in the playoffs the only guy that I look at the newest hires cycle that's really available is Mike McCarthy and it's free thank god I'm not that I'm not the biggest Mike McCarthy stand the world but he's the only guy that it holds no one Barty and that is the only thing that Jerry Jones once he is getting older is that you know you if you spend more time on this earth that he's going to spend has the last was starving if you get that oracle Marty troche with them of the order would love to put it in there Mike you've done that you chose to leave and you've been in the playoffs he's done a good job that would be my selection I don't know if they don't know what it does do checks all
