"Chevron, joining us here on Keyshawn George and l. z. Yes. All about LeBron in clearly that's what we all believe. But is it really about LeBron or is it really about Luke Walton right now. Yeah, let me. That's a great question, right? Yeah. I asked it, has it about Luke Walton a lot of ways like like, I'll say this, I mean on a personal level, like I grow. I'm going to the Lakers and you know, I usually have usually have good conversations with players, right? Like I'm not so old until square that I can't talk to players one, but like the last few years, the players on the Lakers were so young, it was like hard. Have normal conversations gives you like they're like twenty, you know, twenty one like some of them you could, but like some of them, there's like goofing off the whole time you're talking to right. Like it's hard to have like your post when they're all big group around and they sort of know how to behave, but like pre-game when you just go in there to talk like you're not having adult conversations. Right. And so mostly like it was mostly about with well, right? Like his voice was the the adult voice in the room who he was the guy, we all talk to your set, the tone that culture. He was a spokesman for the team. I mean, I don't think there was anybody who is really a spokesman for the team last year's. Right. Well, you know, he, he, his voice still. Matter. So that level, I don't think anybody's waste matters more than the Bronx. Like I just think every room Brown walks into, it's like it's an olive run. So yeah, Luke's going to look still bad, but like he's not gonna matter as much as the brand is and everything you know revolves around how he can relate to abroad. Hellabrunn relates to him is not. It's not the other way round, whereas the last year and it really has been Luke setting the agenda, the tone and the culture. You know, you've mentioned LeBron James one of his ex teammates, Kevin love has been in the news recently being the face of this conversation regarding mental health issues. Have you been hearing any rumblings within the NBA hierarchy in terms of a more league? Why way of addressing this issue? Yeah, have I? I never Lakers having big. They project in partnership with you feel I health. I know they're working on that too, and I think it's one of those things where you know we, we can't so much about everything players do right, like physically. Like you have the training centers monitoring every little thing that they're putting in their bodies, how much they run, how did he feel their ankle field doing bio mechanical analysis like it really makes a lot of to be the, he would know, put those kind of resources into mental health because if anything that affects your performance just as much. Right. I mean, how you gonna play, how you deal with strike, hey, you're gonna deal with mental issues like mental health issues. Like I think team see that almost as much from a like, of course, there's a humanistic point of view on that, but I think it's also performance standpoint like you have to be foolish to overlook this. And I know a lot of players and how they and how they play. You lose you. Now when we look back some callous right? Like no, even like just the way that coaches, we'll talk about players like it's going to sound kinda bad like ten years later, and you're like, oh, he wasn't moody and had anger issues. He had. He was depressed. You believe that the team should have access to the to the mental health records of players the same they do with the physical records and one kind of wear going in that, right, like is it is? It is if it's going to be that important, you know, at least in player, carrot wellbeing like they probably do need to have that kind of access. But confidentiality, especially when it comes to issues like they sell important. So I think that's the biggest question going forward. And like I say, initially, they won't. You know, the players who's gonna fight that really hard because of how important confidentiality is. But you know the way things go, it's world like especially when they're paying millions of dollars, they're gonna find a way to get that access. You're listening to cares being Los Angeles..

I mean, I can say his name ran out of time. So. It doesn't matter because you are the last man. This damn thing, Gary. Two thousand ten that's relevant jaycees. Rajas because of him, and we still remember. That's why Aaron Rodgers went off. Word man. Give me something that was real dumb on us. This Aaron Rodgers feel the clock's ticking on starting. But Tom Brady's forty one and still comrades. Nineteen three. Yeah. Raja's the clock ain't taking any rods about signed for two hundred man style. Brandstatter Rogers is still around Rogers is the most talented QB. I've seen a lot of people think he's most talented QB ever and he's gone. How many on this path? He on the one on this path. He's going to have one chip that is a huge disappointment for someone that you believe is the most talented QB ever play the game. So yeah, he's on klac because he's thirty five and he's only got one chip. He's got, he's got one ring and in I thought he went to to sue, but he only to one on one for one to beat Steelers. Yeah. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Ramona and Michael, I look. I've been out with key just couple month or two ago. We went to lunch and a guy walked up to him Heiki and big Tampa Bay bucks. Ain't gonna take a picture and he was like, yeah, sure problem. You know what I mean? Like you can ask right, ask it's dif- different. Yeah, this is my sneak. Why do you need to sneak it? People rush. People don't impose on you. Maybe there's. How to be honest, it is like they, they don't have the guts to like, ask you. You're not biting remote, we're not going to buy your. It gives me a member vinyl sometimes like this where we get recognized a lot. Right. 'cause there's a basketball fan or whatever it is people like they don't like like, I'm on my way to the locker room. I'm gonna hurry. And it's like if you don't take a picture with me, like I'm gonna like it's not like a choice like they might ask like the, it's not, but it's not a ask. It's like, take picture with me and I, I really can't run in that gotta go and it's like, they're mad, you know, you're like, hey, you know, that's not a It's not a prerequisite. They don't realize they're actually working, right? Yeah, exactly. Mona show are joining us Keyshawn George hill e so Ramona we were talking about the Lakers expectations this year, win total. What is far as regular season. One is one set of expectations and the postseason can be another right internally. What do you know about the Lakers expectations for the regular season and the postseason. I think that they go back to the playoffs and I think they have an understanding that I don't think anybody think he'll win a championship this here. Like I haven't heard anybody say that now magic is gonna Magic's wired in a way where, like, you know, like we're gonna play off. We've got a chance we win, but I don't. I think like internally, I everybody just wants to get back in the playoffs. They wanna like be relevant again and I think they are. But you know, we all say the places like is a goal. I think it's more of like a better be in the playoffs. They're not the play, something's wrong. And that's what I think the start is gonna be really important. We'll see how their schedule works out. We'll see how the team comes together, but if they start, they start, okay, they'll, you know, they just fine on good footing, but if they don't start, okay, then that's when I start to worry as you look at the Lakers team and we've asked you before and put together anything short of make. A playoffs. Is that a failure for this year? Yeah. I mean, like I think if they didn't make of this didn't come together like you have a you have a sense when you put a team together like this. Right? Like even though they have a core that's play together and knows a certain visit every different now right with LeBron and all the new guys they brought in. So you have a sense that he may struggle little bit early on because it's gonna take time to run to play together and you're playing in the Western Conference. Good. But they just can't fall too far behind. Right. You just can't. You know, you're if you, if you have five hundred awhile, then they should be okay, but if they keep, they don't. If they fall to behind whether or not in the playoff race, they can't get back into it. I do think there would be it would be seen as a failure. I think there'd be there'd be changes and that's where you know, I'm not gonna put that Luke Walton, but that's what he start feeling a lot fresher. And you know it's it's expected, but it doesn't mean it's right Ramona Shelburne where this year on Keyshawn Georgia nosy. ESPN LA with Michael Thompson, hanging out with us and you may not know the answer to this right now because it's, you know, August, I, but you know, there's this notion been floated around about LeBron potentially playing center in a closing line-up. Yeah. Do you know that that's an actual possibility or is that just kind of dreaming about that scenario? Okay. Do that hard? I did it. I'm six. Nine hundred thirty five pounds. Of course. He can do it..

"These smooth the grew is with us he stays in beast mold he's always in b smoldered mel kiper junior joins us here on keyshawn george and l z mel thank you so much for always making time for us josh allen you have him at number one why i look great great to be with you guys i think just because of the freakish talent i just went with a guy who could be a grand slam he if he's coach properly and he's going to be afforded time because cleveland has the opportunity with tyrod taylor to let him sit watching learn i mean this kid he made great strides later in the year he came back from the shoulder when he was out with a shoulder they've lost two games one to san jose state who was not a very good football team it didn't have the personnel around him that left for the nfl obviously the center the tight end the running back and the wide receiver so for me john and he's got a great work ethic highly competitive yeah perfect no but none of these quarterbacks are perfect and i think if you're going to swing for the fences you swing with josh allen what mail we talked about the quarterback spot and you look at guys like sam darnold josh allen josh rosen talking about roles in obviously you know this is a hot topic with jim more what he said about roles and going to the new york audience and playing for them opposed to a i guess a blue collar town like a cleveland at became news his fit in cleveland to me doesn't work because of his personality new york is a better fit for josh rosen i don't care which team is what's your thoughts on that.

"And lonzo i'd like you to fill us in on that yeah well it's it's mornings with keyshawn george and l trudell here's the more impressive thing to me is out of who okay who did he do this against see when i when i hear stats and numbers and georgia and i we both love numbers but i've tend to love context more than george so georgia's throat the numbers the numbers the numbers the numbers the numbers and i i get them he threw four thousand yards i get that he averages twenty points a game when do those points come windows yards calm so what's impressive to me about brandon ingram is that he's doing this in the fourth quarter what's impressive to me is that he's taking on kevin durant like he had a great game against the golden state warriors he he's not having nineteen points of game and he's giving thirty points against phoenix in only ten against golden state no he's actually performing well against good teams and he's performing willing crunch time and he's hitting big shots towards the end of games either tiger or give us a lead that to me is much more impressive than just a simple fact that he's giving nineteen the game as win they're coming okay i'm not only going to support your point but i'm gonna take it to last year so after the all star break ingram basically figured out and and it was here's here's why figured out how to start making progress in this game he played against the bron input against paul george put against and he was like oh i survived i'm all right so we got back from the break in that that sort of got him going if you even if you look last year and i i actually agree with you about an i'm not a big numbers guy either the reason that i think in basketball i have to cite numbers more since i didn't play in the nba so if i'm having a conversation with with me.

"Louis rams deeper meal join us here on keyshawn george analsyt coached the rams take on the seattle seahawks this weekend up in seattle they lost the seattle earlier in the year they're coming off a loss this past week against the philadelphia eagles how should they approached this game knowing both teams are coming off losses seattle to jacksonville the ramp to eagles i think they're approach will remain the same as save approach all their games i think there's a little more desperation now a little more uh emphasis hey we have to win this football game who we want to get done what we want to get done get deep into the playoffs maybe get a field advantage get a by whatever it may be because they're still s all within reach i take and is seattle even when you go up there with a great teams tough to beat it they're always tougher up there the crowd noise as a factor it takes a little off your offensive line play it's a factor but that doesn't mean they can't go up there and get it done for me over this year degree meals role champion of course he was the pact eight coach of the year bag ninety seven we ucla you led them to their first conference chambers with ten years back then what did you make of the chip kelly hiring there well you know i was disappointed they find jimmy maury uh jimmy more brother you know i liked him i've known him since he was a little kid is dead and i worked together both at stanford and ucla so i i i was sympathetic toward jimmy uh now that he's gone that hardship kelley chip kelly doesn't have to prove what he can do in college football in regard to being successful he won a lot of football games it's the university oregon's i think you'll have better players at ucla a great institution uh i think he'll it'd be very very successful i think it's tough.
