"They got to prove that they can hang with the big dogs. You don't get there by accident. You don't get there with one victory in this loss doesn't throw them back into. You know, just the toilet. It doesn't But they have to develop that chemistry. Sometimes you have to lose most of the time you got to lose. You gotta get punched. You got to know what it feels like to take a punch to come back from a punch. You gotta feel that before you can come out and Max out. Before you can reach your full potential. And so here you have the Browns. This is a learning experience. Their head coach, Kevin Stefanski, and we know the Browns have cycled through coach after coach after coach I think it's been 11 of them over the past 20 years. Kevin Stefanski here. He knows this is a team. He has to get them to play the full 60 minutes. Listen, it's a 60 minute game and you have to play a 60 minute game. You don't you don't get anything for playing a 30 minute game. So mentality wise. We got beat. Got outcoached, got outplayed. Uh, again. Great football team over there have a lot of respect for them, and now we're turning our attention to Houston. Yeah, good for them. You want to have a comeback? Look, I know what Houston did against Jacksonville yesterday. But that's that's a battle of the bombs. If you ask me You take a look at the Browns no better team than to try to, you know, get things on track, but to do it versus the Texans. The Chiefs. They got a match up against the Ravens next Sunday night. Speaking of the Ravens, man, they went up 24. 17 against the Raiders and the Raiders. Dammit! They just tied the game. Never even 24 all. About three minutes 3.5 minutes left in this game in the fourth quarter. And Just it's shaping up to be a good one in Vegas, and obviously we'll talk about this game is it concludes and as it comes to an end That's what the Chiefs have coming up. The Ravens still have to show that they can beat the Chiefs. The Browns have to show that they can hang in there with the category despite all of the talent that they have So there's nothing easy here. And so yeah, the Browns lost to one of the best teams in the NFL. The Browns lost to the best quarterback in the NFL. And that ain't nothing to be ashamed of. This is the type experience that you, you. You You learn that you gain from The chiefs of the same team that knocked the Browns out in the playoffs. 22 to 17. The Browns might get that chance again. Maybe they'll feel better. Sometimes you got to get slapped down before you get up. And so if you're a Cleveland Browns fan If you're a fan of Baker, if you like old down If you like Landry, Myles Garrett. It don't matter Who you like. If you believe in this team You should still believe in him. If you've been trashing the team, don't trash them. They still have talent. One game doesn't define the entire season. I think the Browns will still be good. I still believe the Browns will be one of the top teams in the A. F. C. I expect them to light up the Houston Texans in their next game. It's going to take time. It's all a learning experience. And so the Browns are they on the level of the Kansas City Chiefs yet? No, no, they're not. But they're a level right below them and ain't nothing wrong with that. Because the chiefs have already climbed to the mountaintop and Ben champs. The Cleveland Browns are still trying to learn how to win and close out games. Like I said, you can have all the talent in the world. But if all the talent doesn't mess together, They don't know how to win. Doesn't matter too much. You may walk away with an l. Against one of the best is the J. R Sport re show here on CBS Sports Radio. I'm gonna open up the phone lines to you the number here. 855 to 1 to four CBS That's 855 to 1 to four C. B s. The Browns, the Chiefs. Take a look at that matchup. Yesterday, The Browns had a lead. Lost. They were up 12 points and they lost. Nothing to be ashamed about. Do you still have confidence in the Browns? Where do you see them Ranking in regards to the A F C right now. We know the Chiefs. They're the cream of the crop. You think the Browns can hang in there? At the end of the season? 855 to 1 to four. CBS is the.

"Com. Kevin Stefanski spent, you know, a dozen maybe 15 years in the Vikings System organization, if you will, and George Payton, the new GM for the Broncos here, kind of the same path through that organization of Do you say? You know? I mean, everybody's got an idea actually interviewed patent here, okay? And I don't know whether he turned it down or They just do that? Because that was a guy that the fancy was basically hired first. But I really think it was kind of an inside job set up with he and Andrew Berry. They knew each other and that kind of thing. But they did brings Hatton in here. And then Next thing we heard he was through But you know, he was well respected. I think for the same reason that they thought that would be alignment. There s O. You know what? The Vikings aren't great, but they're good, and they tend to be orderly. And that sounds like that's exactly what Denver needs, and it's what Cleveland needs, you know, don't need it. And which they finally found, Because if you know the old thing if you're fighting at war with yourself, you know whether you want to go, Uh, Abraham Lincoln said it. You know, the house divided or you're right back to the Bible. You know, you aren't worried yourself. You have no chance. You know you're gonna fall and so I don't know the whole power structure and was gonna work there. Is he could have the ability to go hire a coach and do everything or what's going on there. Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how it unfolds over the next couple of weeks to reference back to go back to that, Jack. If this guy isn't really allowed to hire the coach he wants, and even if it is keeping the coach he have and really keeping him that's stuck with them. Not gonna work. It will not work. I mean, I'll tell you one thing. I have written a book on what doesn't work The problem solve the problems Blue Because we've seen them all We've seen analytics. See Mike Holmgren come in and go to lunch and at a $3 million a year we've been all kinds of stuff, but what we rarely saw. Was ah, unified front from ownership, allowing that GM or president wherever you want to call it to put together its foreign office and the coach and they all work together. Obviously they're gonna disagree, but they're not. No more. They don't come in with suspicions about each other from the beginning. And boy that happens a lot like when a GM comes in, inherits the coaching staff because they think we're on thin ice here. You know, this guy or the flip side is we've seen to where there was a coach in place. And then you know, it's just crazy. You have to get it lined up itself. Elementary, but so often it doesn't happen. They don't get it lined up, right? You know, the Indians have been successful. For so long now, because stuff has been lined up forever in the right way. Indeed, we're visiting with Terry Pluto's from Cleveland dot com, author of more than 30 Books on sports and Faith. One more sports question. Morrell FL in particular one thing to take away from yesterday's game for the Browns, But you could probably say that the For a number of teams, and I think the Broncos fall into that category is well, if you're matching up with teams like the Chiefs, the Ravens, probably in that category. You have to have speed on both sides of the ball. Yeah, and you could see it was lacking some there and they are just so athletic and so fast and the other thing. E mean, maybe there's a coach better than Andy Reid. An offense I don't know. Who is it? Um, because it's not just my home to go back to have McNab. I remember one made map came about in the draft. On 99. That was the year the Browns took Tim Couch. Um The problems that even like McNabb in a lot of other people, then they were kind of surprised he went is high. And, you know, Andy Reid won a ton against McDonald. One so Super Bowl wants s O. And then Andy Reid won a ton of games with Alex Smith. And he's one of 20 games and he's one of Super Bowl with my homes. So you've got to have the quarterback, but you don't have to have the coach and that's why I talked about here with with Baker Mayfield You know the fields. He's his fourth coach in three years, but the other guys seem kind of clueless and what to do with him? Yeah, There is a definite connection between Stefanski and Mayfield in that regard, that's for sure. Moving. I mentioned it off the the outset. Among Terry's books, Loose balls, which is a Very humorous look at the American Basketball Association and I think at times, Terry be hard pressed to tell you which sport he likes the most. I know it's baseball, but the others are all close is well and with the Nuggets being one of those teams in the in the Abbott Terry That's such a great bark in terms of Ah, wild time in sports. And because they were competing leg. They were around for 1967 to 76, the Eva awas and they were competing with the NBA, Be it for players or attention or anything you want. You know even what color the basketball out of B or should there be a three point shot? One year the startup. Basically that allows you to be more creative and gives you more room to fail and not panic, And that's why a lot of things. Now you see whether the slam dunk contest or the three point shot I mean, we almost adopted everything from the AP except the red white blue ball, But they do sell some of those colored balls as you know, souvenirs. And you know the Nuggets for such a wonderful franchise with with David Thompson, Larry Brown and all those different people that came through there and over the years um, it just, uh It was. It was pretty phenomenal to write about it, and I don't think there ever be another fledgling league like it because there were so many big names that played in that week and after the merger came in 76. 10 of the guys that actually played at some point. The ABBA were in the All Star Game the first year after the merger, So it showed that the talent level because back then I think I can't remember if there were 12 or 14. NBA teams on the Eva came along, but that was it, and there was no Europe or anywhere. So there was all there were all these players, talented players sitting around really looking for a place to play. You know, it's not like now We're basketballs being played all over the world. And there's 30 NBA teams and the D League and everything else, So it was easy to find players and, frankly, coaches. It was just a matter of the business model of, you know, putting it together. Well, I know it's tough with all the other things you're looking at. But again from a basketball perspective here in Denver, I know how you love the game. And our friend Lenny Wilkens has to love The way and Nicola Yokich plays. I mean, throwback guy any I love to watch. Yeah, First of all the big guy that could play and then leave now, and he doesn't just, you know, run and dunk or I was like, you know, he's either stretch for which means he's a tall guy that could shoot, but that's always does yoga he passes I mean, there's so much you could do with a big guy who passes you could run cuts off him and and, you know, he's so highly skilled..

"Thanks for joining me. Man going to be on with ov pablo jake. Trotter covers the cleveland browns for espn and before that you reported on the big twelve and followed baker mayfield's meteoric rise. So you live in cleveland. I live in cleveland. I live about five miles away from the browns training facility in berea. Ooh so listen you are right at the heart of everything you cover the browns. I want to understand what does winning this first. Playoff game. twenty six years doing it against is truly hated. Enemy in the pittsburgh steelers. What does it do for a city after two decades of being like generally humiliated. How would you describe the energy. Jake in cleveland right now. Yeah i would describe it as one of the greatest moments in the history of the city. And i'm not just talking about football. I'm talking about all moments. If you talk to people who grew up your they would say that sunday one of the happiest days of their lives sunday night after that win you could hear fireworks going off around cleveland. I don't know who has fireworks in the middle of january but people have them. Apparently people were driving up and down. Their streets warns it was a very exciting night. For cleveland and one that they've been waiting for for twenty six years and really forever considering how dominated they have been by the steelers over the years. Yes i'm looking at a list of things. Actually jake that happened in nineteen ninety four when the browns won their last playoff game. Turns out the number one on the billboard charts. Was the sign by ace of base. Is that all sound right to you. In terms of how did all of this has been feeling. Yeah i've been doing this all year checking what songs were number one at a time. The browns headache milestone. I know that when they were foreign one for the first time since nineteen ninety. Four when bill belichick was still the head coach. That boys to men actually had the number one song on the billboard. Hot one hundred. That kind of gives you a little context of how long it's been since the browns were at this point. I mean they're starting quarterback for example wasn't even alive to rewind to a little bit more recently the week leading up to this playoff win over the steelers it was. I don't even know how to explain it. Other than just like total chaos. Breaking news into i ate out of cleveland browns coach. Kevin stefanski has tested positive for covid. Nineteen according to our adam schefter to other coaches and players dealing with kobe related issues. They're closing their facilities fellas. They ultimately competed with kevin stefanski in his basement. Watching the game not on the sidelines. So what is this week been like as it relates to cove it. They had a practice on wednesday which was weird to see because they haven't had a practice or very many of them not even just last week for the last couple of weeks. I mean go back to the game in week. Sixteen when they traveled to play the jets. They had to delay their flight because they had a positive test from one of their players. Then they had to put their entire receiving core as high risk close contacts on the reserve covid nineteen list. They finally get to newark. They stay the night there. They were not able to do a walk through before leaving on saturday so they held a walk through on the fifth floor. The parking garage that morning adjacent to their hotel really from that moment until now it is been total. Chaos i mean they have had almost every single day since then. Something chaotic happen where they'd had to adjust. They went the entire week last week. Almost without a practice until getting one in friday they finally got kevin stefanski their head coach back in the building on thursday. It has been a bizarre couple of weeks. But to this team's credit into kevin's stefanski credit. They have never panicked. They have never felt sorry for themselves and they have been able to overcome it. Which is the most impressive thing. When this team given their lack of success in the past in the way as they've come together their ability to overcome different curve balls that have been thrown their way.

"All right, rich so far, not much doing for both sides. They both have had a punch so far. Russell Wilson, just three of six for 16 yards, Um Chris Carson, the running back to attempts no yards rushing. Meanwhile, for the 40 Niners, it's Jeff Wilson Jr. He's the running back today for services go so many injuries. He's actually the guy in today, so he's got three carries for 13 yards CJ better than a quarterback for the 40 Niners two or four passing for six yards. Again. Both teams of planet so far big game for the Seahawks are trying to secure a home playoff game that they need a win for that, on the night of the court just wanna win so they can finish the foreign to record in the division and avoid 10 clock on the season. He wanted this one. I can promise you that Just how he was. He was early on to this game on the airplane. Just been talking to my could see that determination. "Three head coaches. But things were going well for he and Kevin Stefanski and the guy who I ride almost every week is Jarvis Landry Man? Yes, he had started off the season a little a little rough. He had a great season last year at the end of the season. I want to say what he still with Miami last year was he already in in Cleveland last night? I think he was already in Cleveland but already been, including, anyway when he was in Miami, and he had Ryan Tannehill thrown to him like he wasn't all that great. He's become this great hands Guy, a great slot receiver. But he's the focal point of that receiving corps in that offense. They do have Hollywood Higgins. I was just going to say Look out for, however, started Higgins, too, because he's there's definitely a connection, you know, blossoming between Baker and hating and People's Jones because they're focusing a lot on Chub? Yeah, Nick job in trying to stop my Karim hunt in the run game. So Yeah. Jarvis Landry. That has been big for me. I really like Baker Mayfield. That's a huge matchup by the way this weekend against the Jets if you're still playing daily fantasy, or if you're if you're looking like we said, if you got like Baker and Big Ben, like, Dude, that's your play. That's a no brainer. You go with Baker like he's not. I don't know that Baker is gonna be a guy in his career, and I was wondering this so funny. I was talking about this earlier this morning. I don't know. If Baker is gonna be a guy who is gonna win Super bowls like I don't know yet that he's like to complete winner like he's just but you get into the postseason. I think he's one of those. He reminds me kind of a bread farms like he's sort of a dangerous gun slinger. He's gonna throw picks. He's gonna throw fewer picks this year that he's thrown in his entire career that he threw 27 last year and 20 something year before, um He's going for 30, plus touchdowns this year's gonna throw for 3500 yards. He's got a 4000 yard Gaia season guy yet, but he very well may be. I think he's dangerous. I think he's you know, I don't know how many damn Faust you get in the modern NFL. But he's kind of help, too. And I think that because he's such an errand out guy, and because we're talking fantasy football, that sort of stuff comes in. As a valuable asset, dude and no question and you know what do you know? What damn found tonight have in common. You go to the same high school were with Saint Ignatius Wildcats. Yeah, I never set out as we are, s I, But, dude seriously, though, you want to talk about like, how on fire Baker Mayfield is the media skivvies and numbers real Quick week. 13 at Tennessee 25 or 33 334 Yards. Four TVs, no pics. Week. 14 at home against Baltimore. 28 of 47 343 Yards. Five. I'm sorry. Three TDs one pick. And then last week at the Giants 27 of 32, dude 27 32. That's efficiency. 297 yards and two TVs. No picks. So the guy the guy I used to think he was kind of Ah, Interception machine. He's absolutely fixed that part of his watch. He was This has to do with with. I mean, a lot of it has to do with with your progressions and how you read things. And sometimes, you know, sometimes teams go away from head coach is too quickly And it could have really done Baker Mayfield a disservice by getting rid of Freddie kitchens. They were bad, and they for some reason, had Super Bowl aspirations last year, like didn't understand that at all, Like, what Is this? What you suitable aspirations because you have Karim Hunt. And Odell like that. I just It was weird to me that that became became a thing like this is the guy. Um, but then they moved to Kevin's too fancy and he's been offensive wizard Man. They've got a system that works, and it's working for Baker. And so you know, when a guy's this good in the first year of an offense, I'm always really intrigued by how he's gonna be in the second and the 3rd and 4th like, Get him get him stable in this offense and continue to progress, And I think that's why the times this year with Jimmy Garoppolo, it's you know, when he was healthy, it was frustrating. Yeah. I mean, it's like Did you played a couple of years now? It's been a full season in the offense. You had a half a season in it, Even if you weren't starting every game, and it's just been then it was frustrating when he was out there and not not reading the progressions he needed to read anyone. Yeah, 25 TT's eight picks this year. I mean, that's pretty impressive. You guys gonna go 30 touchdowns you might throw what 10 12 picks something like that total and two indeed, four interceptions in the next two games to do that, the Browns a cruise into the playoffs. Yes, there what That could do The Browns Maiko Maiko 12 and four year I say I'm kind of jumping on their bandwagon. I mean, just just run the table. Browns go! Tony's headed to Brown town on the other side on the other side, I want to dive into it. Oh, maybe some of the players that were hurt last week. I gotta talk about Kita now, and I want to get a little bit more on the Pittsburgh receiving corps. Should we still be confident guys like Deonte Johnson, Claypool juice Ms Schuster with a big loss last week, Also Zeke Elliott Could be ruled out this weekend. He's Tony Pollard worth playing on again. Little bit from from the fantasy matchup I've got for those of you into the championship for this week. "Week. Believe Paul Dougherty ask him the question what he would say to fans frustrated at 3 18 and one take a listen. I really can't worry about it, and that's that's part of being a fan and we want to win for this community because they want so badly or a winner. And so I get it. But we have to make sure that we're doing it the right way and they were not compromised. Quick fixes just just for immediate success when you know may harm us as the season goes, and so where fans can be confident that we're going to build this thing, the right way, approach it the right way so that the payoff is going to be big, long term and again. We want to win this week, and we want you in the next week on the next game. We want everyone to be happy because we won and makes our jobs easier. It makes it a little more fun to get out there do things, but we're not gonna compromise the way we approach things. Andi. We know that when we start one in the fans will be there and they'll support us and it's such an awesome football city and we can't wait to make everybody really happy. When he had been thinking about this since I heard it yesterday when he says we're not going to compromise. Ah and go for the short, quick fix is that cannot be a simple as what we've talked about with somebody like Carlos saying, I'm not. He may be a better player than Pick a back up right now. But if he's not putting in the effort if he's not focused on what we're doing, if he's not, you know, working with us. I'm not going to play him because it doesn't fit what we're trying to build, even though Right now. He might be better than a money, blood sores or somebody? Yeah. How do you take what he says? We're not going to compromise. What we believe in for the short fix is that Is that how you interpret it? That we're not playing guys that aren't buying into this right now? Just because they might be better than our backups or well, it sounds like it's code for. We're trying to lay a foundation. Yeah, Okay. That's how I took it off of, you know of guys that are not only You know, I have the right mindset for what we're trying to do for probably young and probably on the part of the next couple years. Practice hard, right? But I mean, I know I said this probably an hour ago on a somewhat related topic with Zach Taylor the issue of the time and give us time is that There's no resume to show that in the past, such such organization has given you time and therefore that them doing that paid off and it was successful. There's nothing to give you confidence and okay, we're going to give this a little bit. We're in this for the long haul because Well, you know, there's I'm trying to think of right now of another. You know, we'll look at them you Miami where Chuck Martin is. That was a long time you were years. A good point wasn't very good. But looking back his record at Grand Valley State. You look at his record at Notre Dame, that sort of thing you go. Okay. Clearly the foundation's land is taken longer. But we've seen that what he's doing works and I'll give you a counter to that Freddie kitchens. Had very little of a background the Browns making the coach last year, they saw enough in one season, they said. This is a disaster. There is nothing that says we he deserves more time than this were were killing our organization. If we go any longer, were cutting bait. You're done and they moved on to Kevin Stefanski, and now they're whatever for and to write. He looks because they they looked at, you know, they got in a position where Freddie Kitchens was the offensive coordinator at the time, they had fired the coach. They thought, Okay, he's in house knows Baker Mayfield. They have to have AH, connection. We're going to make him the head coach. It just took them once. I don't think it took him the full season to realize he was a clown. And so they cut bait, and they didn't say. Can you imagine if the Browns had given him this season as well and it had gone south, the mess that the brands would be, and it's kind of what we're talking about, If if you don't really know what the end of this year on Zack, you can't roll the dice into the next right. And on one hand, it's It's got its crazy thing. You like Zack after two years or less. But then I think about one year from now we're sitting here talking about this team with Zach Taylor. We haven't seen you in there. Oh, my God. I can't do that to us. I want to believe because I really You know, despite the wind, just take that out of it. Like what? He failed. The team plays hard, right? I mean, I I never look out in the field and go case. Gaza is kind of You know the efforts there so that I think that there's a certain element that speaks to your coach. You guys want to give some ever that's good, but How'd it s I want to believe that he's going to do it, But it's just like I We don't have the benefit of allowing longer time for that to take John Ross this week and there's a couple of things that Tyler Boyd said. I want to get your reaction to John Ross. The reports are that he kind of sees the writing on the wall into the road. Police trade Me now A. Tyler Boyd was asked yesterday about the rumors of John Ross winning traded. Take a listen I mean, it's tough, You know, I've been in this situation before. And I know how it is. You know what I have told him is just just just to be home. You know? Don't let nobody Ah! Kind of gory category as you and tell you what you are what you are or not, So I mean for for for him, you know, just just just just to stay ready, You know, no matter what you know, if you feel like we're not going to use you or whatever the case may be at the end of the day. You're still football player. You know, that's never that's not going to change. Regardless, you know, and one of those weeks it feels like it's going to be a week for John. Just like upset for Ray Jay..

"Cleveland Browns were looking for their first born one start since 1994 Colts coming in today, a team that had won five straight games in Cleveland. But this is not your father's Cleveland Browns, or maybe at your uncle's. Whichever Baker. Mayfield, throws for a couple of touchdowns on the day today didn't throw a couple of interceptions and lost a fumble. But Cleveland had enough firepower to win this game by a score of 32 to 23 Jarvis Landry 88 yards receiving on the day. Odell Beckham Jr. Quiet Day after a huge week last week, But Karim Hunt caught a touchdown pass and Cleveland is now four and one significant in a lot of ways. First of all, they've got a new head coach. Kevin Stefanski, coach. What's it like being for in one of your first season? I think we have a ways to go. I think, obviously where we're in this Aaron, this the win and we know that every week trying to win these games and they're gonna be hard. Think we're thinking about the next one challenge coming next week was just out of the Senate bill comes at you every single week. They are guys understand. Focus has to really be a week. Two weeks we'll celebrate this. Last time The grounds were foreign one. Kevin Stefanski was not yet in high school. Last time the Browns were foreign. One head coach was Bill Belichick. Enough said, and he falls 23 and two on the year throws a couple of interceptions on the day today. Now that three and to record for the Indianapolis Colts hits him back home for Cincinnati in week six, Arizona went to the metal lands today. You know they've got DeAndre Hopkins now. Last time he was a metal lands who's playing the New York Jets, and he was a member of the Houston Texans in that game. 10 receptions, 170 yards and two touchdowns. He's dominant in the building. He did it again. Today. Just six catches on Ly 131 yards, just one touchdown. But that was more than enough. Arizona beat the Jets today by a score of 30 to 10. Tyler Murray, a career high 380 yards passing through for a score ran for a score in Arizona Improves to 32 on the year. The Otherside Joe Flacco is starting today. The injured Sam Darnold, his first start since week. Eight of last season when he was a Denver Bronco wacko. 195 yards didn't throw an interception did throw a touchdown pass on the day. But Jets now only seven without Sam Darnold in his career and own five for the first time since 1996. That year, they went 1 15 under Rich Kotite and Houston Texans made their coaching change early this week is they let Bill O'Brien.

The Browns are trying a new approach heading into the 2020 season: Being quiet

"Let's start here in Cleveland atom I heard Baker Mayfield say last week last year was total and complete chaos. They had so much noise around the organization. Now it's like a church mouse. It's totally quiet. WHAT'S THE MANTRA? What's going on there with this approach? Well the circus that was in Cleveland left and has gone to Tampa Bay in the interim. Basically, you've got a new general manager Andrew Berry new head coach, and Kevin Stefanski and the noise that accompanied this team last year has quite a quite a bit I think people are more interested in seeing Ben Rothlisberger return in Pittsburgh. The return of the NFL's raining MVP Lamar Jackson in Baltimore even the number one overall pick Joe borrowing, Cincinnati that browns are. The least sexy story in the AFC north this season and so they're flying under the radar, which is a good thing for this team. They don't need anymore engine. Let them win before we anoint the Cleveland Browns and contender and I think that they're very encouraged by what they've seen so far from their team this summer

NFL offers players to scrap all preseason games

"The NFL. No more preseason games. Well, that didn't take long. Yesterday morning. At this time, I told you about a source who said, Hey, we're going to be Cutting in half. We're gonna have one preseason game in the NFL. And then all of a sudden, the proposal is zero preseason games. The NFL the players the coaches need. At least one preseason game might not be possible. But If you think about new coaches, you got high draft picks. You got quarterbacks trying to get acclimated with game situations. And even a new coach, Kevin Stefanski, in Cleveland, just to have that communication from upstairs down to the field in realty time. And Joe Burrow in Cincinnati job Burrows First pass could be his first pass in the NFL. And then you have players who might not be able to make the roster without preseason because they don't get a chance to really showcase their talents. You're gonna have inter squad scrimmages. But I don't know how much football we're really going to see. And by that, I mean, are you gonna have inter squad games? Could I have the Texans and Cowboys play one another? Could you have maybe proximity scrimmages? Could Tampa play against the Dolphins or Jacksonville place? I don't know what's possible. And I think the NFL is trying Tio figure out. How can we get some football here? How do we

"Fan or a Dallas fan, I think you should be a little bit nervous right now. But you're probably not as nervous of what those three other situations are new coaches, new situations, tons of pressure. A year where you have to figure out exactly what you're going to do. And in really two of these three places, the Giants I don't know what they are. I don't know if there are rudderless ship. I don't know what they're trying to be. I have no clue. If Dave gentlemen can get that idea to meet that be great. I got Joe. Judge George. It seems like a nonce. No nonsense guy. He looked like he might be okay with something like this, Kevin Stefanski. Pretty cerebral, pretty no nonsense. He looks like he wouldn't have that big of a problem with something like this. That rule has obviously been a great coach and has had to build things up from really terrible circumstances while he was at Baylor, now in the NFL. You want to believe that they would have their best intentions ready? You can't guarantee it, but I think it even in these guys his best days. There's times where they closed the door. And their thoughts get away from I'm not saying they're panicking in there. But you could imagine that there's times where their thoughts kind of get away from ago. Jeez, we start this season on time. Some of these players I haven't even met. I'm gonna have to cut these guys. Some of these guys might have to be cut sight unseen. We might go from 90 to 70 before we even get anybody in here. I have to get these guys ready for a season and in One of these situations. When I talk about the new coaches Kevin Stravinsky situation in Cleveland, You have an extra playoff spot. Depending on the fan you talked to you should be able to buy for you. You've made some strong decisions here over the last couple of years to get your team some talent. Ron Rivera, new guy in Washington, But untold hat should be better off but still a little nervous. Same thing with Mike McCarthy. In fact, I think there's only Really handful of coaches. That could either do okay with this setup or truly benefit from it. I think if your favorite team is coached by Belichick, John Harbaugh, Mike Tomlin, Andy Reid, Jon Gruden, and I think that's a question. He's just an old hand and he's had a couple of years experience with his team, But I think that's even questionable. I think Matt Leflore is questionable and I really give him the benefit of doubt because of Aaron Rodgers. Doug Peterson, I think is in that mix. Zimmer, Peyton Arians. I'd say Shanahan, I'd say Carol. Maybe Cliff Kingsbury, but I don't think I want to put him in that spot. Because he's got a second year quarterback. Who is just learning howto work in the off season in the NFL. And now with this, it's probably gonna put that back another year and true how you want to prepare for a season. That's why I do want to put Sean McDermott in there. I just don't know if I can because where Josh Allen is And if you just move the season, and it's so easy to say that, and there's so many reasons not to, but if you're talking about just from a football standpoint. What would rule? What would judge what would Stefanski Rivera? What would McCarthy What would a lot of coaches get? If they just got another month. Seasons, due to start on September 13th if they started that season on October 11th. How much better of it. See if you could have guys in camp. Now you could hear this and go. What can it doesn't matter? There's there's going to be sickness. There's going to be things going on absolutely possible absolutely possible. But I think that if you could move on and say that from a football standpoint My God. Only so much time. I only have so much time with my rookies. And in some of these cases, those rookies are expected to start play and actually contribute, which is ugly thing in its own right, scary thing, and it's all right. What would another month do for those three situations or for your favorite coach for your favorite football team? What would it do for that spot? You can't say it wouldn't make that better now. You could say you don't give a damn. It's unfair for everybody else. You demand entertainment. You've been through hell. These are entertained entertainers and I want to be entertained. That is well within your rights, but just looking from a football standpoint. From a football standpoint. I look at a lot of these teams are you can't help but be in a better spot Just one month back three weeks, one month back 855 to 1 to four, CBS 855 to 1 to 42 7 Because I'm just more afraid of owners. Khun B. Finicky people can have knee jerk reactions. Locking for was on less than two hours ago, said You know this. This should really be a Mulligan for everybody. 2020. When a season gets going here, it should be a Mulligan for everybody. We're dealing with things that are unforeseen. Coaches, players, everybody or dealing with things. They're unforeseen. The sam Darnold of the world, the guys who even even the Mitch Travis Keys of the world, the guys who are on edge right now, maybe they should be given a bit of a Mulligan because of this year. I think that's great in your thoughts. I think that's what a lot of people want to say. I think there's a big difference between now and the end of the season and what a fan says about his favorite football team were very understanding in the heat of summer. We get very agitated during the fall when we want our team to compete. 855 to 1 to four..

"I talk about our personal private lives. Just two guys am comedian. Pete Corey Ellie and I. I met Pete six years ago on a bus in Toronto. Terrible iheartradio was number. One for podcast. Is that on purpose. Man You go like step by up. It doesn't say anywhere on doing the highest pitched voice. You have as fast as you can. There's other podcasts. Out there that you probably listening to or watching. Listen people. I'm telling you right now. This is comedy gold. All right. We'll take the show to another level. Listen to the Peed Sebastian. Show on the iheartradio APP apple podcasts. Or wherever you get your podcasts okay. Let's dive into a couple other just headline stories and other parts of the other games. That happened we'll start with the browns. They hired Kevin Stefanski and the big talk and of course it was after the game is after Minnesota San Francisco game. There's no way the browns around because it was clear when I fell asleep on Saturday night. I think there was a report on Friday. Robert Sala was out by the time. Saturday Saturday came indefinitely by the night. It felt like it was basically his job and then in the morning on Sunday. It's reported that Kevin's to fancies the new browns coach in twitter freaks. How did they watch the game? Did Paul de Podesta. The baseball guy watched the game. My answer is no you know what number and analytical guys believe especially from the baseball community did small sample sizes are meaningless. There Billy. Bean doesn't even watch baseball games. He works out. I if you told me that Paul Depot Desta went for a hike during the Niner Viking game I would believe you he was gonNA put zero stock. The niners won that game. One hundred did nothing instant Lansky in the vikings and the kirk cousins Dalvin could end of that game with minus one hundred yards art. It could have been the worst performance in playoff or regular season history in Paul Depot. Desta wouldn't carry it all the these baseball people. They don't believe believe in small sample sizes they believe in what the masses think. Paulie Podesta loves that. Everyone thinks he's an idiot for hiring. This guy he thinks you guys are the morons. They're very black and white. It's quantitative it pumps out of the excel spreadsheet and they believe it and I say it all the time my issue everyone use analytics. I was doing some accounting today. Talk Forty Times. The combines not too far away. Analytics are huge part of anyone's life who lives in normal society my issue with the Analytical Sports Movement in football is why can't anyone ever admit they're wrong. I admit I'm wrong all the time I wanted. The niners draft have Quin Williams. Nick Bosa isn't just good. He's the best rookie I've ever seen since I've been professionally doing this for about twelve years. He's incredible I'll say I'm wrong all the time. Hi I like. The Vikings would put more of a fight. It's like those guys never believe they're wrong because when the number tells them they're right the right and again it's parts of their brain like my brain thrives in grey areas a lot of people that I know they think like that but I also know number people. That's just the way they think I've worked with them with the eagles they just get an argument never ends because they're never going to back off. Well I have no problem changing my opinion. If you present amuse new information I do it. All the time. Invested in the company it starts going backwards. Sold all my Netflix stock about six months ago. I just didn't like where it was heading. Now it's actually going back up up but you're crazy you're not open minded anything but to think that Paul deeper desktop put much stock in this game. You're crazy because that's not the way the billy being process in all his minions thank they put e- put zero stock in that game. I will let me repeat zero stock in that game my big issue with the Browns as Paul debate ESA lives in San Diego to one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. I've been everywhere but I've been ought to beautiful places. Hawaii New Zealand Wind Spain Italy Philly Trumpian but he lives in San Diego. There's not a human alive that would rather live in San Diego than Cleveland but when your football team is in Cleveland you gotTA live in Cleveland. If you're going to be the boss and from the latest reports I've seen he doesn't plan on moving to Cleveland yet. On Friday part of the reports of this Kevin Stansky deal. And I get fancy Roberts all up because I kept tweeting eating like these guys should turn down this job but they probably both.

"Then I then I then I asked I said well you know candidly what are what are the biggest cons about Kevin Janson? He goes if he left. I would have to learn a new offense. And this is my favorite offense that I've ever played in all right. All right. Davin wasn't Delvin Cook. Okay Davin Cook all right so I mean I liked that I liked the higher man. I mean we're not gonna just skim over the fact that I predicted essentially four or five head coaches on here Because I said that the browns would hire as I did with McCartney to the cowboys and Joe Judge the giants and you know Rivera to the rescue. Everybody knew it as soon as he got done. So that really wasn't a prediction. I was wrong about the panthers. But you know it isn't about me right even though I WANNA make it higher Joe. I'M NOT GONNA lie. I wanted Saleh. That's no secret. Ah I liked. Why did they want solid? 'cause I just felt like he had that kind of leadership mentality and not this defense. He doesn't but solid Zala is a very in your face and he's dealing with a lot of personalities over at the forty niners. He's dealing with the bosses. He's dealing with the Richard Sherman's he's dealing with the you know so these again big time players who are all first round picks big money guys with big personalities and control in that room that I felt like bowed would bodes well in Cleveland and that team. That's doing the same thing. A lot of early round picks big time players big personalities who are making a lot of money money that you have to convince to all be on one accord for common goal that direct correlation is what I was excited about and he was still gonNA bring the same. Kinda Auburn's defense does too but still I want solid was one the basket was too. I didn't I wasn't high on mcdaniels for the Brown. I'M NOT GONNA lie. I mean we sit on this podcast. The fans get feel good about because of the collaborative nature. You're talking about And fans they have to realize that yes. We've had a lot of turnover in the browns have had a a lot of turnover of over the years. And it's it's GM head coach and it's everybody then it's whatever and the biggest thing and again the thing that has always has priest when we're in those situations is he wants people to be on the same page. They have yet to get a front office and coach and everyone who understands and has on the same plate it page with the same record because what happens. Is things go bad and people start finger-pointing because their star worried about saving your ass or they are worried about their public perception and each time time since the time when I got there in two thousand fourteen till now it's happened when things go bad people point fingers and they wanted to be where everyone is on the same page that we're going to sync together other or we're going to rise together and when they have that mission and they all bought into that it's going to give them more time and I think Stefanski does provide that he's a smart guy like you talked about now. He's collaborative the thing I like. Best about him is that he comes from an organizational pedigree whereas dad has been an executive in the NBA NBA NBA player And why that's a big deal because it's not too big for him when I got to the NFL. Oh you've had a lot of things well when you did this. You did that and the the reason why I wasn't too big for me because I lived that experience through my older brother so it was. I'm serious it. It just wasn't that big because I already gone through. I feel like fancy will be the same thing where we've seen the Freddie kitchens you know not deal with the media the right way or or you know. Be Worried where we've seen head coach that a word about the wrong thing. 'CAUSE now you're the guy you're the face vase and you're worried about what people writing about you or how you're perceived second guessing your decisions. I don't think we're going to get that from fancy. I think he's going to understand understand. We're keeping it in house. Who gives a damn what they say? Let's just figure out how to win. Football Games one thing. I like about him and I've talked about when I'm picking a head coach. If it was my decision and I look at pedigree a lot like what are your experiences. How many different places coach's schemes? Have you worked in because every one of those is this GonNa give you a different perspective and it's GonNa make you more all around good coach and the fact that Kevin Stansky has been in Minnesota basically his whole career was a negative for me. I like guys at bounce around because that means you've had an opportunity to see a lot of different organizations and see a lot of different ways to make things work always always the skin a cat. There's not there's not only one way to go win Lombardi trophy and I think that's the biggest negative of guys that grow up in the Patriots scheme and live their whole life there and that was my biggest negative with Josh mcdaniels is. He's only coached one year of his entire life outside of the Patriots Scheme and so he's obviously probably going to come in in and say Yup. I know exactly how to do it. I'll do everything that bill did. I'm going to set up the structure exactly like bill had it in New England. And there's not any other New England's there's a lot of ways to do there's not only one way to get to the Lombardi trophy and so just thinking that you have to do everything exactly like bill did it and set up the organization. Exactly that way is not the right way to do it. You've got to find an strikeout your own balance of what your structure looks like. What's best for you as a head coach? What had coach you WanNa be? And that's not the same for everybody not right and so I think having a vast amount of experiences a good thing so with that being said yet Kevin has been in Minnesota his whole career but he started under Brad. childress who who I played for in Cleveland for a year. Then he stayed under Leslie. Frazier and under Mike Zimmer. So in order to keep your job in an organization when they bring in a new head coach. You've got to be really damned smart and really good at what you do. And the people above you have really got see a bright future for you. Because usually they're gonNA wipe everybody out of there and bring their own. People are the best offensive line coach. Ever played for his guy named George Ward Hop and he survived. I think three regime changes in Cleveland Mhm He was so good and the coach would come in and see how smart and good. He was an office of line coach that they've decided to keep them. Even though the scheme was different they knew that he was going to be able Blah daft because his core values were solid and he was really good and he understood football and to me. That's what Kevin Stefanski. Is he sticks around around under all these different regimes because his core values are solid and they can see that. He's very versatile and he's not rigid with anyone scheme he's going to look at all these different aspects and he's GonNa use a Smart Ivy League brain and he's going to figure out the best approach for the guys in the talent that he has he's worked under Brad childress who there's an Andy Reid disciple. So that's the the one team that doesn't run the cow Shanahan's scheme that is in the AFC NFC championship game right now. We've got them all right now. He's got that but he's also running the Kyle Shanahan Gary Kubiak scheme. And so he's going to bring a dynamic balance between between the two best offensive schemes in the NFL. Right now. That Kubiak. Or is that Stansky Zimmer said Kubiak was the best thing to happen to this football team and that could be uh-huh Kubiak has the experience as a head coach. has an offense according he's been around the NFL million years and he's been in that offense a gazillion years. And so first it's all we don't know if Kubiak coming to Cleveland but if he does it be great that the amount of things that Stefanski is learned from working with Kubiak are innumerable. Yeah I like that's a good word. It's an Ivy League word which is a good thing for this episode. Also they're talking about Andrew Berry could be one of the guys. Come back to run the football operations in and be the General Manager Agenda Ivy League guy who set up the situation. Where now help do that which is to get all the top name players we have some? I'm on board with that too if that's the case So fast is thirty. Seven years old. Four three or four years younger than Josh mccown He's the head coach. Josh mccown is now in surgery getting a torn hamstring repaired. And he still has to have a talk with his family of Western is gonNA continue to play spoiler alert hamstring spoiler alert. He's he's not gonNA play Don't want to break news for you Josh. We haven't talked about it but if I if you're in Vegas There's an opportunity to play better whether or not Josh mccown is coming back. I would bet get on him not coming back with his hamstring. Still Being Lincoln financial field in him being in Charlotte all ready are ad hoc one of the guys that reportedly Ridley might be coming to Cleveland to call the plays if Stefanski is not the play. "The ball until they put an extra guy in there to try to stop the run and then one of those three studs. Kenny stills tells deandre Hopkins and will four will get a one on one look and throw the ball to him that the rest of the game you win but if you do stupid stuff like turn turn the football over and try to run fake punts when you don't need to when you up by twenty four to seven that's how you lose games that's how you tip the momentum in the other teams favor and that's exactly what happened is soon as chief scout that stop on fourth down. It was like energy was injected into their sideline and all of a sudden they thought we actually actually have a chance and what happened. It turned noon onslaught and it was a complete blow out from that point going forward place. Deuba Games win stupid. Prizes is is coach. O'Brien you're absolutely right. Because they went up twenty four. Nothing is what stood out to me. They went up twenty four. Nothing going into this game. I said the Texans have to get their running backs going going. Here's why you gotta eat clock and you gotTa Keep Patrick Mahomes off the field. That was even going into the game at zero zero Europe. Twenty four nothing right that should it have been your entire strategy like hey we need this running game to go and do us do Johnson in passing game or you get him in with the mix of Carlos Hyde and they did not do that man and you're right. They gave them extra possessions. Special teams killed them because then they fumbled on the kickoff return. And they gotta but the chiefs are the real deal the ability to come back from twenty four nothing in one quarter. They scored twenty four points. Twenty seven points like four minutes in that game which is ridiculous right and I don't know if there's any other team in the league that has the ability to do the now. A lot of things happened. There were a lot of things got lucky but even still even without the the fourth down conversion even without the fumble they steer. We're going to win that game. Like their offense got rolling. There was nothing to Texans could do and that was prevalent from that point on. Okay Hawk fill in the blank the fact that the chiefs went down twenty four zero and ended up winning fifty one. Thirty one shows us that they're going to the Super Bowl. There's no way that titans can beat them absolutely not I mean they're they're team. Who can eat clock and again? This is famous last words that keep saying this every week about the titans everybody. They played the entire season even from week one when they the browns but I remember when they beat the browns. I was like this. Ain't ain't going to the Super Bowl and here we are. I'm GonNa say it again. I'm going to double down. I don't think they can beat. The cheese is because it does not matter how much clock. They don't need many possessions to score a lot of points right The wildcard is a defense was it is going to do. They buckled up late in this game but even still do John Watson had a good day rioted there. What if it wasn't for the momentum swing and that would have been too but again I just offered to good For the titans to compete. Pete how about you know the fact that she's went down twenty four nothing and ended up winning fifty one. Thirty one shows what that the chiefs are going to have confidence no matter what the situation waste is going all the way to the Super Bowl and now they are my super bowl favorites. Because I can't remember a team that can score as quickly and as as many ways as them the Great Travis Kelsey and other members of the Thomas Flog was absolutely lights out. They could not cover him anywhere on the field. And and when you go and you have such deficit in a game like this and you're able to come back and win big manner. The way they did. That's going to give that team confidence that no matter what the stakes are no matter what the situations are. They're never out of it and they're going to believe in themselves that they're going to be able to win no matter where they are if it's a super bowl and they're down fourteen fourteen. They're going to be looking at each other like I. This is where we go and do what we did. The last time we got down fourteen or twenty one. Whatever it is you get that belief in yourself and had ask? It's going to be so hard to just stamp them out and snuff them out. It doesn't matter where they are in that super bowl and I think they're gonNA make it to the Super Bowl. They're going to be believed. I believe that they're going to win that game. And that's a very powerful thing to have that belief in yourself. Yeah man and I mean we gotta slow the train down on George. Kiddo is the best side in the NFL NFL. I'm not saying he might not be. But Zach we just can't act. Call Him Baby Gronk and act like Travis Chelsea doesn't exist because the dudes obese he. He delivers he's there number. One received brings tied in. And George Kiddo is too but he's on a team with a lot of other playmakers. He's receiver with tyreek Hill on the team. So we gotta give him some respect in that regard all right we'll get next. Joe Packers outlasted the seahawks Twenty eight twenty three from Your Perspective Hawk. What stood out in this game? The packaged good. Call Me Booger McFarland. But when that team had more points than the other team at the end of the game they could win this. Here's something that's funny because it sounds like boogers GonNa be out as the Monday night guy and you know there's been a lot of speculation that you and I are going to join Monday night booth booth But the funny thing is when I think back to what everybody considers the greatest colored guy of all time at least in our generation everyone says John Madden right. Everyone loves like I say Maha. uh-huh say Martin Luther King and the greatest colored Guy I may have been the greatest colored ler so the greatest color football football guy our generation remembers John Madden and the reason that we love John Madden is because he said stupid. Simple stuff all the time. This was excited. which is the same stunt? UNPLUG her about. It makes obvious comments. But that's exactly what man did and we loved him for it. We love riddle me that somebody needs to maybe hit us up on the Thomma hotline. Four four zero six eight one three seven six making let us know why why the stuff that John Madden said if Booger McFarland said it everyone would roasting but we loved John Madden for saying those same thing there was no platform to rose John Madden. So what did he do. You got a video game for it right. I'M GONNA START THE BOOK OF MACFARLANE VIDEO Game McFarland. twenty-one get ready for it because I'm going to be the one to champion it and everybody better play right because you're completely right. It's funny because even being in sports media look at all the tweets of all our colleagues and it's this show was up two percent this year and they give a shout out to the guy that was on it because he was the reason or she was the reason that the show has done so much better and it was doing bad and now that they were on it more people watching. That's no coincidence. The fact of the matter is Monday night. Football was up five percent this year but yet they're getting rid of booger McFarland and he's terrible right. But we're Jason witten was soil near the numbers. Were down and they blame that on. Jason Win so what is it you get to just pick win. And we're not that they contribute to it. I don't know all right Joe. So what was your favorite under the radar. subplot of the packers and hawks my favorite under the radar subplot was just like. I've always been saying that. Just because you you get down to the one yard line and you give marshawn lynch doesn't mean you automatically score a touchdown. Their defense is to take it away. You have to remain some level of unpredictable and and you can't just hand it off to your big strong running back and expect to touch on every time. Nickname will wait a second. It worked every time Seattle. Never mind go ahead. And it's it's funny because it wasn't even like he put his shoulders down Iran heart. Through a whole he would get stopped he will be wrapped up and he would keep going for a test they literally could not stop him. I'm like they never have been able to. This might be the last time we ever see marshawn Lynch field at least for another couple of years and remember the still unstoppable on. He said I'll football for two years. Came back and was. Still unstoppable. Angolan football All right so my favorite subplot under the rate of subplot of this game was how good Aaron Rodgers and Russel Wilson are because the seahawks were down pretty big. I mean as far as playoff. Football is concerned they without two scores at one time and you know Green Bay was clicking but they were never out of the football game like it felt with the Ravens right like when the Ravens went down and we kind of knew just the way their football team said everyone knew they couldn't battle back. The chiefs came back. One big 'cause they can score points but Russell Wilson was kind of putting this team went back and even down to that last drive where they didn't convert and had to punt away to the packers. There was a drop pass. Had that guy caught the past which was writing his bread basket. And he's like no one around him they probably would have marched down there and scored. I'm not confident around. Russell Wilson when you look around the league top five quarterbacks in the league right now are honest. Ah this is probably an order. I'm ranking them. Russell Wilson Aaron Rodgers Pat Mahomes. This is where it gets tough breeze Brady Lamar. I will go breeze breath and Watson Lamar at five and I'm putting Brady six. That's my top five. took one on game for Lombardy get dropped five spots. I never had him as the top quarterback. He's the best athlete but I I wouldn't. He was never number one. Never taken him. As just if I'm starting my friends. The top five of receivers. He yes he will be my top five of every position except tackle including Garden Center quarterback apparently Yep he's about five five five. Eight and Watson is five B Rogers had them homes. I mean I. I don't think honestly the top three or entertainment with me Russell. MAHOMES and Ann. Rogers are like top three period. Like when they're I mean seriously man the stuff russell muscle was doing and just keeping them in. You could just such a command for the game doesn't get rattled not a situation too. Big for him doesn't back down because he doesn't have ebony emotion and you can't really tell you might be a robot. I'm not one hundred percent sure yet. We'll figure it out so what you're saying. He's the opposite of Kirk cousins. So Kirk cousins action needs to go to the Russell Wilson Summer Summer School of being a quarterback yes wrestling passing academy. Yes Russell's like here's how you don't care you firs- you Mary.

"The Twenty eight twelve win in Baltimore. What stood out to you in this game? The thing that stood out to me was the fact that we're all idiots and nobody knows anything about anything just when you break it down to the bare bounds of it if you would have said before like Hey Hawk I need you to bet me one of your kidneys that the Ravens win this game. I would say whatever how about a long to throw a kidney along in a in a pinkie toe. It's all good. Trust me. The Ravens are going to win and win going away and here we. Are you know the titans ended up bawling and the Ravens looked like the only the only other time this year asking the Ravens look like that when they played the browns which I thought was an anomaly and I thought you know. There's no way they don't show up in this game and I was completely wrong. That's what stood out to me that idiot because I'm a narcissist and I make everything about myself how about you what stood out to you. What stood out to me? Is that awesome. Itamar show perfectly predicted. How this game was on for not that it was going to unfold the way it did? Get Yeah we didn't predict the day. We'll tell you that that's an incredible spin job by you. We said he predicted the only way we would be wrong. If we were wrong. Only way the Baltimore Ravens lose is if they have a bunch of turnovers early in the game they get behind and they're forced to crawl their way back into the game because that's the only perceivable receivable weakness and that's exactly what happened now. We didn't say that's what was going to happen but in the NFL. Let's be honest no matter what team. You're talking about even going back to the Dolphin's oftens undefeated team of the Seventies. There is no perfect team with no flaws and so there's ways that any team can lose no matter how good you are and so any given when Sunday any given Saturday in this case you can have things that happened throughout the course of the game that exploit things that you don't do as well and that's exactly what we saw happen a lot of it when you're talking about turnovers does come down to maybe unlucky things that happened chance Some of it is set up by your own errors but in the in the end they're are unlucky. Things that have happened in the Baltimore. Ravens case budget turnovers early in the game. They got behind and it was difficult for them to come back. Although although it wasn't impossible they still had a chance. They just weren't able to overcome all the obstacles. And you gotTa give credit to the Titans for playing a good game. They had the ultimate guy over there. Dirk Henry who could ice the Ravens de offensive line and those guys that are run blocking forum. Just chew up so much much clock when they're running the football they're fallen forward. They're just leaning on you the whole game and so for them to be able to get up early. It was just perfect scenario. Win that football game in Deir Cannery is attract trying to tackle a GEO tracker Because he's a defensive end playing running back and even the Baltimore Ravens who are incredible defense in tough and nasty and like the tackle. They were turning it down and you could see we're watching you you're on TV. You know all of America's seeing you turn down these tackles the Joe. Tell me. That's what was your favorite under the radar subplot of this game To me I was watching Ryan Tannehill because I am really curious what the titans are going to do with him the season okay got a big decision to make right like he is home and all of a sudden they have a chance to maybe win the Super Bowl with Ryan Tannehill. Uh He was a guy that was castaway in Miami last year. And are they going to sign him to like a huge deal. Are they gonNA franchise him. Are they going to give give them like a two or three year. Proven deal like what's going to happen because he's the ultimate risk guy because you've seen a small sample size that's been really good but are are you willing to commit your franchise for seven years and maybe twenty five thirty million a year to a guy that's only been around for half of the season but if you let them go the risks sir almost bigger because imagining walk out the door and go sign with somebody else and then whoever you replace them with turns out to be a bomb. You'll make the playoffs. You look like the biggest biggest dip shits of all time that you finally had the franchise quarterback fit your offense that fit exactly what you want and you walk out the door because you just thought you were smarter martyr than everybody else in the room. We don't use dip shits enough on this show. I want to say that for sure. That's one thing we've gotta fix the Teddy. He'll take good but to put it in perspective. He threw for eighty eight yards and on one of those plays it was forty five yards and another touchdown play was twelve so that's fifty seven minyard's onto plays. He completed seven passes in the week before he threw for seventy two yards so if he indeed gets the big contract because of his playoff performance he should immediately take eh thirty eight point two two percent of it. Get it out of the bank and cash drive it to wherever Derrick Henry is and and leave it on his front lawn for him to come home to as a as a gift because to throw for eighty eight yards and again on one of those plays forty five yards. It was a great pass in that be would catapult you one hundred million dollars because you're playoff performance is interesting and I. I mean producer. John like yeah. Tannehill should get paid but then he also said Jimmy. Garoppolo is weak. So it's just it's a weird world we're living here in a Tomahawk show. John Get a Mike Defend Yourself. I never said Tannehill should get paid eight. Oh I'm sorry. Well maybe you're just writing the rundown and I'm using this as your opinion I think they do have to some no contract next year. I'll be interested to see if he gets the big Kirk. Cousins guaranteed deal. If he gets like the Mike Glenn improved deal. He's going to get the FLACCO. Tenny Hill is Ryan flacco. He is not like. I don't think it's an epiphany like Oh man this guy is dope like no. It's a contract year. He's putting all the pieces together at the right perfect time. He's GonNa get a huge deal and he's going to go back to being Ryan Tannehill like flacco did but who would they be bidding against as my question who is going to say like Oh we have to public I. You don't have to get like like flacco. I mean again in free agency. ency the people who need quarterbacks who are who are those teams are the bears. Colts can out there. I mean the bears the charges that you could do enough there because you're a middle of the pack team you don't have a high pick But there's no good quarterbacks available and free agency and the titans would also be in that same world right so now you're picking taking twenty seventh twenty eighth and you're going to let Ryan he'll walk with and how you're GonNa get a quarterback for him because you're not close enough to the draft you don't have enough to trade up that far so there's no way so you can let him walk. Because you basically handcuff your franchise for the next four or five years especially if they make the super bowl right so you got to commit now. Because you don't have a choice because they've done too well Derrick Henry. He has played too well for you not to commit Ryan Tannehill shot the rail that was my subplot of the game. Rabl big fan of variable even more of a now. I love that. He's going on the road beating teams. He's not supposed to be you know the players anyone who's ever played with them or played for them you know they. They sing his praises and I couldn't be more happy for the man all right talk filling the blank the Titans Making the AFC championship game proves. We're all idiots. I said it earlier and I still believe it now. I don't think there's anybody nobody out there who smart. There's not one human anybody who covers football watches football that is smart you're all particular. TV neighboring from the titans and that's just because they like shock value. I mean that's not because they knew they were GONNA win. It was like they're contrarians is like oh I'm GonNa pick again because they know if you win you get the look what I did. You know. It's Zab played that game before I I've won that game. You know my thing. Is You know play stupid game when stupid prizes never accorded. Td All right so shout the TD shout. The neighbors Joe you fill in that same blank. the tight end beating the ravens proves what it proves that the Kyle Shanahan and drink offense is the best most thorough offense in the NFL. Because if you think about it don't even run the cash in hand off do they do. You're wrong the offense. So here's here's your your teams right now in the championship game. He gets feisty around cash she had a need of the planet. Are you ready. You ready here this fucking thing. Here's the four teams that are GONNA be playing to get in the super bowl next weekend gives him San Francisco Green Bay both Shannon offenses matlock floor direct disciple. I mean he's the Guy Washington Kyle Shanahan feet together. He was getting the cowhands Shanahan drinks. Shannon's drinks in the AFC. It's the titans chiefs chiefs too drunk to remember. It's the titans who are running cal Shanahan's offense and the chiefs. WHO's Andy Reid? WHO's in the West Coast which the passing concepts come from the Bill Walsh scheme which is where Mike Shanahan took the original? Kyle Shanahan Scheme Kim for now granted the Russia is totally different in the play. Action is totally different but four teams right now in the AFC NFC championship are running. The Kyle Shanahan offense and the other team is running the genesis of it from passing concept with like all sorts of Wackadoo due brainiac self-defensive craziness from Andy Reid. So is this the spread of like the Shanahan offense the this version of the west coast. The the new office that is going to spread to everyone. Should everybody be going to try to get somebody to run this offense. I would say because defense is having nabbed again. No Oh because defense's will adapt it's like the classic Bill Belichick thinking is the trends in the. NFL are always the opposite of the direction that you want to go. Because as if everybody's doing one thing that means the other side of it is going to be undervalued and you're going to be able to get those players that that scheme cheaply and in the end everybody is going going to prepare and be really good at stopping the one scheme that's the most predominant in the NFL. And then if you're running whatever's different you have that advantage because people don't see it on a daily basis. Okay all right so those teams will suck next year. You heard it here all right next one joe the cheese monger epic comeback against the Texans Fifty fifty one to thirty one after starting going down in the first quarter twenty one nothing in twenty four nothing at one point in the second second Joe. What stood out to you about this game? I'm not a hater on bill. O'Brien I know axons fans now insert. Hey a lot of people that love HOUSTON HOUSTON. Texans are not big bill. Brian fans they look man. I'm not racist. But I'm not racist. But Bill O'Brien made ed one of the all-time stupidest moves in playoff history by faking a punt when you're up what they're twenty four to seven and Nouveau Pont in a game where you know. The other team needs a lot of possessions to get back into it. So run the football allowed to Shawn Watson to do the magic things that he does where when they're selling out to stop him he runs around. You've got three really fast. Receivers that can get open open wants to Shawn Watson starts scrambling. They can't play one on one with all three of those guys and throw the guy who is in the one on one coverage. Yeah all right. I don't know if five me I don't know if I said that the right way but basically what I'm trying to say it shouldn't affect run.

"Nobody's GonNa talk talk about the the player who never said nothing. He might have been a good player. Draw Rivas is going to be a great player that talk about his players. They won't say I remember For this or that no one's GonNa say I hate or I love Darrelle revis today hate. They love Patrick Peterson. You know what I mean like Richard Sherman forty years from now people are going to be telling their grandkids when he pops up on the NFL. One one fifty one fifty year and he's on the NFL. One fifty team remember like I hated that dude or I loved him. He did this ah the NFC championship. Fifty years ago. He went he grabbed him. That is. That's a cool thing to me man. I'M NOT GONNA lie the Dion Sanders is the Tarot. And say what you won't but these are guys that steel garnered the same passionate conversations around the personality as if it was yesterday and it was a decade ago. Do Fill in the blank here. The weakest part of of this forty niners team is will right now. It's Jimmy Garoppolo. Come on you've got influenced by producer. John Hang on all right. Do not art cut me off. I'm sorry that doesn't mean he's that doesn't mean he's even bad. All I'm saying is there run game is number one in the NFL NFL now. The Lamar Jackson's gone their defense is got to be top. Two or three and I don't see their quarterback is being a top two or three guy and so to to me. The weakness is at quarterback. Now I still think Jimmy's really good. I love watching the way he played he was He had one touchdown one interception. WHO's very decisive with his decision making? He's a great leader for their team. He does a nice job off the play action. good-looking g moves well in the pocket. I love watching his feet. He's learned a lot from Brady when he was in New England. Because he's very calm in the pocket. He is very very steady and calm feet. And then when he's ready to throw he snaps it in there and so I think he is a guy that can win with his arm. But you're talking about a San Francisco team right now. That is the favorite in my opinion to win the Super Bowl. So the weakest if you have to say there's any any weak part right now. It's Jimmy G. IF I'm looking at how do I Tax San Francisco Forty niners if I'm the Green Bay packers knowing that we've got to go into San Francisco and attack them. What do I WANNA do okay? Well I know they're D.. Line and their defense is really good. So what are we going to have to do. We're GONNA have to throw the ball quickly. We're GONNA have to try to run the football a little bit although it's going to be difficult But more than anything. We've gotTA stop their running game and forced Jimmy G. to beat you from the pocket with his arm. Now that's easier said than done but that is the best way to attack them right now. Now I mean look man Jimmy G. I get it. He's not throwing for three hundred yards a game. He has a great running game. He has a great defense all the things that are awesome right right but even still in the game. They've needed him to do what he needed to do. He's done it like when they needed him to throw for three hundred yards. He's donny when they needed him to take over games or or drives. I mean this guy. We've seen him. I WANNA say he has like seven or eight fourth quarter it drives for wins in his career. He's twenty two and five as a starter so I just I get what you're saying there. So he's the weakest thing but I would say the weakest part of the forty niners team. Is the running backs and again like you said. It's not a knock on them because they're good and they work hard. My favorite thing about them is that they're all in the kickoff team and all in the punt team meaning they're all in but what I'm saying is with that system. It's kind of plug and play like we've seen it before we've seen middle of the road running backs do really well in that system in multiple places that cash in hand has been and. I'm not calling those guys middle of the road there over achieving. They're balling out right. There's something to be said for guys who go out there and do what they're asked to do with a high level but I do think there's a lot of running backs you go plug in there. And they could have that same kind of success all right so I'm GonNa use what you just told me as the weakness it's okay to prove that that's their strength. Their strength is the fact that you don't need to rely on one guy. It's not like Saquon. Barkley is back there and if he gets hurt in the a game gets dinged up. It's over like no it doesn't matter who's back there because the scheme makes those running backs great okay. This is the way they're coached. And the way that in order to run in that scheme it doesn't take a great amount of talent. It just takes an attention to the detail of what you're being asking the scheme so you're saying because they have so many guys it's not a week but that's why the running back Mr Strength because it doesn't matter who's back there. It doesn't matter if they get injured as long as they know the offense they can go out there and play and play just as well as any of the other guys. George Kid who is their weakness in because if he gets hurt they lose all right so that by that logic forty nine. His biggest weakness is George Kittyhawk Tomahawk. Show everybody we're giving you the head and stuff that nobody Eddie..

"Was yeah. I'm with you and this. The Vikings had to play a perfect game. Listen the I think the Vikings eight very nice season okay. This is the to my twin super bowl two years ago. They kind of delivered on some of that promise. This year that game and Orleans was great defense will finish top five and points kind of they are who we thought they were. You know from from that perspective but I just this niners team is just really really good one through forty six active players This is this is the most talented roster still left in the playoffs. This is the team that if I had to guess is probably are we GonNa win the Super Bowl and I think that this was just the Vikings team going up against a team with one more talent. I understand what you're saying there after watching got chips game today. I don't know it's hard for me to not the question. If the chiefs had gone down twenty four points and it was just a normal. Ask Game Do you feel differently about them. Do you feel better worse. I don't care about going down twenty four points. Well I mean they either. The bets. That's part of the thing here is that we saw them go down twenty four points and then to say now we can start the game. That's the most impressive part. They'll put up fifty one points. This exclusive Texans stop trying. The Texans flew home at halftime. If they put a fifty one. I don't care how much they burnt down or up or whatever I mean it's fifty thirty one points and making. It looked easy for three quarters of it wouldn't have mattered to me with the lead was very quickly vikings. What do we think about them? You said we've talked the future of the teams that were knocked out. Is there any any thoughts either. Way On on the Vikings Twenty twenty. We'll see what happens with office coordinator right now. The head coach coach of the Cleveland Browns. And move that you and I both understand and we both talked to Kevin Stefanski. He's a open minded smart person and I don't know how the some of the aspects aspects of that job are going to go but I do know that he's going to be willing to listen to new ideas that he's going to approach this job with a humility and curiosity. I think is necessary for to be a good good head coach. I have no idea if you will be one but I do think it. He's wired to be in charge of an organization that wants to like the browns due. I I think having I think having Gary Kubiak Obi a nice holdover so long as he stays. I think that that's that's GONNA question. I think I think he likes being a little bit behind the scenes. I don't think you want to take on a full blown coordinator position. I you know. Maybe maybe not but I think the he likes where he's at and maybe there's something they could work our. He's still maintains his influence on the offense and they don't lose any any Continuity there we'll see what happens. I think that you're right. My understanding is that he doesn't want to handle all the meetings and everything else kind of enjoyed as being a sounding board. Rick Dennison is still there. He's off. He's the offensive line coach. She's work with Kubiak forever. Kubiak son Sean is the quarterbacks coach so if if Clinton ends up staying I think that that could probably have an influence on whether or not they can keep gary around for another year. My assumption is that Zimmer will go to Kubiak and say would you like to be the offensive coordinator. I think that if I had to bet on what the Vikings first choices. That's what it would be but I don't know if that's going to happen another year last year of cousins next year. I think this team can still seem. This can be a playoff team next year. I think so. Do I think they need to rework the secondary. I would assume that Xavier Rhodes will not be on the team next year just based on what his salary cap situation looks like if they're healthier. Mike Hughes has a bigger role trae Wayne's is a free agent so there definitely needs to remake those positions. But outside of that you know they have a few more guys. I know financially. It gets tougher them after this year. You know they've it really tried to do everything they could to squeeze something out of this season you know. They have almost never done well. Two things they did this season moneywise. They've never done before one. They converted part of Eric Hendricks signing bonus into a base out herb base our into signing bonus to create more cap space. They they have never done that before since rob presents took over the cap to if you look at the deal they gave Anthony Barr. It's not a pay as you go. Contract like. Most Vikings contracts typically are back loaded. I mean they really did. They stepped outside of their comfort zone to kind of keep this team together and now it does feel like whatever whatever that team was. It's going to need some reworking so the roster is going to look different next year than it did this year and has had had has looked for the past few years. I understand why they did it but it almost seems like the Vikings Service much smarter Texans in which they went pretty. They pushed a lot.

Browns Dismiss GM John Dorsey Days After Firing Head Coach Freddie Kitchens

"Let's get to it Sadly adly mark we gotta start with the browns. How did we get back here? We're back we're back to the bounds being the browns. They have fired yet. Another general manager her Cleveland parted ways with John Dorsey. After two years on the helm the team announced made that move official after it was reported in multiple places. The decision to move on from Dorsey comes just two days after the Brian Brown's fired head coach Freddie Kitchens at the conclusion of the regular season Dorsey had a meeting with. Jimmy has them the team owner earlier. Tuesday the two sides according to Tom Palacio We're talking about possible. Structural changes that would curb Dorsey authorities GM but when the two sides can come to an agreement it was over mark Feels like Cleveland. Even though the better roster is back to square one in terms of dysfunction and just in general question marks about the present and the future and I can't and even begin to understand how you must feel the frustration of well. I'm of two minds because the first is they're just more proof that the browns the constant mode is sort of developing farce. I mean whatever whenever you think that they've turned a corner. They're actually just going in a circle back to where they were before for. And there are a lot of disturbing reports and whispers coming out of Cleveland that the ownership and we know this is not not shocking. Can you think about it. But the but they continue to be very impatient with all their decisions and the people they hire and so the question now and I think that the I've never seen the fan base this deflated because of where they were a year ago at this time. Or let's say seven months ago to now but because it just doesn't seem to matter to most people who they hire and it's too it's too de energizing using to get excited about fill in the blank coach and the from the other side though I will say this had they kept John Dorsey. It would've narrowed the candidate list of who was gonNA come and work with that next team by a lot so I think if you're going to keep doing this but do you agree with that. Dorsey wasn't the guy to be leading the charge. Because everyone seems it to be an agreement that he was a guy that came in the obviously inherited. Sasha's bountiful gifts and had some hits has mrs but had some big hits to me it all feels a little premature to take him out of the equation but this organization has done. There wasn't a straight firing right. They just say couldn't get different visions on how they saw the football operation going full hundred percent. I think they wanted to keep them and they talked about how much they liked him. But John Dorsey is probably very prideful and not going to take what is it what is when you're changing title it also demotion what else is it and the thing is he he. It's hit. It was his decision number one to go with Freddie Kitchens and they they ignored Paul does recommendations of Kevin Stefanski DEEPA. Desta also wanted. Sean McDermott in the past. So I think what they were saying. Was We kind of trust. Paul Podesta's voice in in this at this time around and that's not something that again. It's kitchens fall. It's a soup of Dursey for hiring kitchens more recently. Stunning fall though we were at the owners meetings and at that point John Dorsey was the toast of the NFL. I read them in the top five of my GM rankings. no-one no-one said Oh that's that's too high. I mean like it was very recent who is five. Oh who's right behind him. Thomas demetre was five. Kevin Colbert over three but It is amazing how much talent he acquired in a short time and he's gone but I think they've gotten it wrong so many times of not having the GM and the coach align that act. I do like I like I think that needs to be on the same page. Yes at every time. So I'm fine with it. It's deflating to the point of heartbreak for for Browns fans that last year at this time this job was seen as one of the most coveted in the league with a young talented nucleus. And you're finally going to bring the winter to Cleveland and now it's senior reading reading stories that executives say that's the one place I would not go and you're right back to where you were if some of these coaching tree scenarios were cal Shanahan and has a number of people interviewing with the browns. He was there he's he. He demanded his way out of the building. You got you know the bill. BELICHICK's of the world are going to be telling these guys be careful because yes. It's great for you to go on and get a head coaching job. But the DNA here is that you won't be there. Four hundred as has made it clear in his press conference Thursday that the coach would be part of hiring the GM which sounds weird. But I know that's fine but it means that the coaches ultimately the GM's boss Asif you get hyper and that's fine as long as it's defined ahead of time if that helps them get mcdaniels fancier whoever it is that they want in the door. That's fine it it just makes makes it clear that it's the coach. That's in charge and function and dysfunction always starts at the top and sports and since the has them's joined there on their fifth took over team. They're on their fifth coaching search and seven years and John Dorsey is the fifth different person or group heading up the football operation in that same seven seven year that has to be unprecedented. I mean there are at least just third that work in at least the third that only had one year really which is why

Stefon Diggs on trade rumors: “There's truth to all rumors”

"But we will start in Minnesota we we stefan digs and his current situation the vikings white out missed practice for undisclosed reasons yesterday and it led to speculation about his future with the Vikings today today dig said he has not requested a trade but did admit there is true to all the reverse. He said that he's unsure. His agent has talked to the Vikings and what has transpired can't sit up here like everything is everything is okay his obviously not but but I can't say at this point it just trying to work. Do I feel like there's no matter how you sit up. I won't be saved speaking on that off off. Everybody's known to be rethinking the next one that team guy always predicting but for myself. I never made it just about me. I've never been that kind of so my resume persona kind of speaks for itself. I've never been to got to kind of be off. Be like me me me and wanting to have success. I WANNA have team. Success is always what I've been pushing them always without push so my language was stated saying whether I'm giving many opportunities not not not a lot. Have you asked for trade if you haven't communicated anything more so the conversation has been about teen and China had success food ah I haven't spoke to them you gotTa talk to play Sunday. hopefully then you play. I like football. I want to be part of I want to the apart play football on Sundays on CBS practice today you anticipate house and I feel a little bit better as to Yeah Courtney Cronin joins us now from Minnesota. She was there when dig spoke and Courtney. You heard him say. There's there's truth to all those rumors. What's your take a what exactly he met. Wendy he kept repeating that phrase multiple times throughout his media the reliability this morning and I think that that's him not completely closing the door that we're all he did say when I asked him straight out dicky requested trade you want lots traded and he said I had not communicated that and then obviously you have to follow up about his agent. You didn't fully close the door saying that no. I wanted to be your completely like that. Is there some uproot that there might be some validity what we've been hearing me Hainan seeing that this has been something that's been brewing probably for a little bit of time now so. I think what you were. Each phrase wants to continue to say it while he did say walk this year and he's been here for five years. He loves everything about teammates. I think he's questioned what you have to bring his question about whether he's feel value. He does have a role in the offense but it is minutes role than it was US last year and obviously you've been obsolete. I come in the steam because that kind of brings things to a head to where we're at right now. Wondering are we've seen the end of the era. Is this the beginning of something that we should be more concerned with or just going to blow over eventually because feel there's fire. I'm Greg it courtney. Thank you yeah I think in this case. It's fair to say there is some fire that smokes coming from Joe Joe. I'll ask you first of all about attentional trade market for digs if he were to move on well. I spoke to a team last night that I know would specifically definitely be interested in step on just because they expressly told me that and then last night I think an inquiry was made in they came back and said that they were told that Stefan was not going to be on the market and I see we're hearing during that today in terms of other people following up on the reporting what we do know about stuff on digs at here's a career worst three catches per game and five targets per game and and even though he's coming off a career-best production with over a thousand receiving yards and nine touchdowns his production in the two years prior to this season. It's still been under Adam Adam feeling and you know he's working with the new offensive coordinator and Kevin Stefanski and prior to that obviously was Pat Shurmur. WHO's the head coach of the giant so I think talk. You're looking at a receiver who feels like he can do more. You might even feel like he's the best receiver on the team and he's right. He is not a Mimi Guy in terms terms of how he portrays himself publicly. I've covered him a lot of times. I was there for the Minnesota miracle of so many of his games and by comparison you would definitely not put him out there but off in that sense but just listening to his words and the fact that he did leave the door open with certain things that he said he is letting you know that he is frustrated in that also think that that it fits within the era of athletes right now this season and last season being more vocal about their situations taking more control of where they feel like they can best flourish and I'm getting the hint although I have not talked to him directly or his agent that he's trying to let people know that he feels like everything is not completely kosher dill. It's funny you say that Joe Joe and I think Steve Young. You made the point two weeks ago with the genie sort of being out of the bottle I this is another example of a player. I think trying to sort take some control of a situation a situation that from his perspective is not working the way he'd like it to work yeah. I think it's a direct reflection on the quarterback play that that's been in Minnesota. Obviously his diminished role isn't because of injury or lack of talent. It's because the quarterback isn't getting everybody the ball right. Now I think last ask year when you see how everyone was involved in Adam dealing was getting the football step on digs with everyone was happy. Everyone was performing. Everyone was getting the ball. There were schematically. There were in situations where both of these guys were making big plays and that's what you're used to seeing from the Vikings and I think this year those players just aren't there and there's plays aren't there for those plays aren't necessarily there for Stefan digs for any of those past catches right now because of the quarterback play and I don't know if that's schematics. I don't know if that's simply the quarterback but I think he's unhappy with how he's being utilized and he's taking things into his own hands and to his credit. I've known for some time as well. He's never ever been me guy. He's never been so. This isn't necessarily about putting himself before the team I think at some point he has to look at his career and where he wants to go trajectory wise and make a decision and listening to talk. You almost felt like he had a little bit of emotion coming out when saying I'm a team guy and I'm not a me guy and I'm just trying to put the team. I listen as a football player. I know you can you've experienced this. We only have a certain amount of years and we only have a certain amount of time that we can go out there and play the game so you don't WanNa feel like that. You're wasting a season and I think that's why a lot of guys once they realize look. There's no chance for us to get to the playoffs this year. There's no chance that we're GONNA win in this division this year and teams on the flip side of that. I understand okay yeah. This season is pretty much over so let's try and get some value in some of these guys that are good football players and that's why we're seeing that more this year than maybe in years past. I thought the most interesting thing that he said Real quick when you're asking me if he was going to practice US I don't know I hope so. That's that was the less you know that he has expressed something to the team and he's maybe worried about how they reacted to. How that's what I'm thinking yeah I mean he he clearly was not one hundred percent sure you're next and Steve Young joins US now Steve. We have talked about this before given our conversations and I'm GONNA assume zoom. This doesn't surprise you that we're seeing another example of someone stepping up and saying this isn't working for me no players who are going to continue to demand what's going to be interesting. Is there is is there going to be a market and I think the Jalen Ramsey and if this situation does go forward and these guys are able to get to new teams I I think the ice will break because there are a number I mean everybody in the League has had moments star player now this star players that can do this because they're they're not. GonNa risk career other. You know non star players are not going to risk their careers to demand a trade this cut and so the star players going to say. I know there's a better place for me. I know there's a quarterback it'll throw me the ball and others office coordinator that will take care of me and that's going to continue to grow and I think this is a this is really the really important time Wendy right now awesome because of Jalen Ramsey doesn't get moved and digs does not get moved and the kind of kind of chill this whole thing and can stop it then this market will not not be kind of a burgeoning market but if they start to be able to be moved then everyone the legal realize I can make my way out of here and I wanna be somebody somewhere else and to the to the point just I it was victor. Rodman raw made it but the average career is three point two years in the NFL players are very aware of it. If I'm going to be great I'm going to be great right now. Well there's no question is a pivotal point in the league. We'll see digs by the way signed a five-year seventy two million dollars extension last year the thirteenth highest paid receiver currently in the
