"Clerks and stuff which at the time seemed so scandalous and they were talking about such real shit sexual stop it now. There's an innocence in a way to them Do you find that you do you revisit. Those ever think like God. There's yes except there's still something in each one of those where it's like still. There's still haven't they're still have this conversation about suck and one's own Dick that that has not hopefully it won't it sweet There's an age old problem that have plagued men and women since the dawn of time and that is smelly feet. When you were shoes? gags ex- solve this problem. GECK's are I think the easiest way I I missed it. I fixed their closest to in product to SOx right there like a type of sock. But that's really selling them sure they're more than that they're kind of like a sock type lining. That goes right into your footwear. But you don't need socks when you have geck's right so they become sort of part of the shoe. You're wearing their non socks socks. Yes you can use that kicks take a few minutes minutes. Put Him in. And you'll happily forget about what is known as swamp foot all summer which also swamp foot is not just around in the summer. No this winter is approaching. Yeah and interest coming. Winter's coming don't rest on your laurels. Everybody because if you wear shoes without socks in the winter guess what you're still going to swap foot and even if so geck's and GECK's prevent that from happening so it it preserves the life of your shoe it. It prevents your loved ones from being disgusted by your foot odor. And it's also here's another. It's convenient. It's not like you slip. Slip them in and out. I've always I always used to like vans. Get Really Lazy You just slip them. Slipping the per minute out. It's the best and they're available for men and women in so many different styles flats heels sneakers loafers so It's kind of a no brainer to avoid swamp mop foot in the summer fall winter spring and he season visit my guess Dot Com. That's M. Y. K. K. S. dot com for twenty percent. Cut Off your first order using the code. Long Shampoo are just never really went into my. I spoke girlfriend who had dated for like twelve years And it's like I've talked in your work. I mean is that in your work in the world can see her in the movies and stop my brothers my first audience the first person that made me think like oh like I wrote something that made him laugh. I control fucking emotion though interesting. Kim was like my I fan. She was incredibly supportive. She like pushed me. Creatively not push me like you better do better but just like you. She was inspiring at a playmate was like. Let's go make ten. Let's go. You wanted to make her laugh. I mean S. What twelve years on and off from The time like from nineteen eighty six. We just passed I would i. I only know this because I fucking us to write it on. Every piece of paper in school Our when we started dating was five twenty five eighty six. We just passed five twenty five so every he's still in touch. Yeah yeah absolutely and never really fond of each other's lives but Married I'm married but it's not like you know always fucking star-crossed like she was there for the building of me and in many ways responsible for who I became. She just never made me. I feel stupid for wanting to be. Yeah Yeah Oh that's huge and so many people you know course like come on you gotTa have a backup. That's are you tired Charles Charge even admit to somebody that I want to do that. I mean that's got you. What do you think you want? Kids like you know like the kids doing high school. She he and I were like two peas in a pod in very similar and stuff like that but I always looked up to her because she knew exactly where she was going in life and a half and she was you on the more traditional plotted these college. She went to Carnegie Mellon and Shit. Like Yeah Super Bright. I I think I can recognize that person in some your movies. I mean she's serving Jerry. Our Up till Elissa Jones is definitely Joey Adams Susan but all the girls in clerks I mean both girls clerks of basically two sides of Kim and and and Moments just something. You haven't talked about that some now because when I started doing podcasts like I was instill him like Married yeah it should be. You know not want to delve into and out of you know respect respect for who you're with but now how big part of my growth process in life in my make moving ship is to get beyond traditional definitions of unlike men chasing amy. There's the scene where they're on the swing set and hold an sitting there going like he's talking about the standard definition Melissa's really like like baffled by low frustrated like spot. Love about new Sachs's about penetration. He's like it's not the standard definition again with the. Yeah that I am holding. Yeah no these things were defined for me and you're open to on her worldview. But you just hadn't been exposed to that very much and it's a movie ideology analogy yeah. My parents sat me down and told sure like. I'm a romantic at heart. Based on like fucking like a movie I love dig movies. Movies calls me. I'm MC movies for a living and movies. Are the best part of us when you when you put him on. Despite because it's only two hours of human being fake human beings five right and in that two hours uh-huh lot fucking done including show entire fucking span of a relationship right up to heavily happily ever after and invest in a human human behavior. When you're done in two hours to get to check in on those characters? The real world lasts a lot longer to fucking right chasing was was revolutionary for me. I had not seen it because in in many respects. It's the traditional Roma and it's very romantic. It's a rom com that like has so organically done and well acted and shot. But it's also Really breaks that mold. Love is not this concrete thing. There's chasing amy was the one that solidified my career The outdoor Mall Rats and Shit like written off and went really totally You know the movie cost five and it made like to write how I would also like make fun of it and shift chasing chasing. Amy Was the one that like brought us back at people like you know all the criticism was like he's back and I felt very yellow. Cool J don't call it a come back. Here's but we get like critically speaking. That movie is very important for my career is important as clerks because has it means I get to stay in the room. The Room mallrats shows me the door. Ironically although it age well but still like if vows shown the door and I stayed out got out and stayed out. That's it all right says a renaissance years later. Don't have one guy and I'm the fucking like me of. Maybe I'm not in film at all anymore. What would you do face game though? That's the one that fucking if it weren't weren't for chasing amy. If you had to leave the game I mean now you think I wanted wanted to own a college tour but now I twenty two years. So it's like there's always that I before film I I always assumed I own a Deli because I know how to make a sandwich Thank God Joey was on board with chasing amy. 'cause that movie is the story of our relationship right and thank God. Joey was like Oh. Do you want to write a movie in which you show yourself for the fucking asshole that you you were fucking like. Couldn't get over the fact that I was more sexual adventures than you and I get to play that part. Go ahead get a while. You know what I'm saying. That movie functions options as one. Ninety minute apology and you were together throughout the the homemaking of the while those emotional pain to get to that bag and stuff and and you know realizing that like Oh my God like the poor girl contend to deal with this. No wonder she was baffled like I'd look at her face. Sometimes I'd it'd be like jealous over something. Give me like. Where does this come from like? I'm what I'm attracted about you as your confidence confidence in yourself but you never had this was was part of it like you had never dated anybody she was beautiful on the fouling profoundly affected may and and still does to this day not in the way of like all right pine over where wonderful friends she's reboot but the way that holden met you know Elissa and and his whole life view was challenged. Not because like hey. She's gave which is like I love this person so I should be in a relationship with because that's the standard definition mission than her frustration with like again with the standard Leah. It's not what they told you it is. It's whatever you want it to be chasing amy the process of let me writing chasing amy. She would say because I would hand her. These pages that like seems would play like versions of conversations or arguments. We a hat and then play quasi policies issues like yeah he. He knew he was wrong. And we're getting good art out of it and I get to play this fucking part art and it probably helped the relationship go longer than it would ever not by virtue of the fact that like all gave her job. You talk about this in your book. Tough Shit is is the book and it's so good but after the experience you had on cop out which was the first movie you made that you didn't write but where are you after that movie. I mean creative web cop out like Out at a weird impasse in my career after legs Mary for some reason that movie was I was convinced was gonna make a hundred billion because everybody told me like knocked up guy in this bucket story rely. There's no as doesn't fucking two hundred million wound up. Doing the standard. Kevin spent thirty million conned broke my brain because it was like. Oh my God. I ruined Seth Rogan. Like those fucking role. Yeah I was susceptible to do something that I wouldn't normally do. Either right and Jeff Robina was running one of us at at the time he loves Mirian stuff and it was like watching him over here and fucking make a movie and I was like okay. And he's like we got this movie called a couple of dicks fucking down for how. Yeah I am and we're putting it together right now. What do you think about Bruce will and I was like? Oh my God bruce. Willis I love fucking Bruce Willis Moonlighting was my fucking spirit. Like all my guy great dialogue. I forgot I thought I'd love it to this day. It's like the back and forth and shed David Mattie and plus like he's a Jersey guy disarm strongest throve. He's great but I mean here's a guy. Let me see if I can work this out. And then he called me the next day it was like what about Tracy Morgan I was like. I'M GONNA love Tracy I worked with the chainsaw. Bob Shaikh back and stuff title chains. While we're amid production they went to the networks and said would you run ads for a movie called a couple of dicks And they were like not before nine o'clock and that was when and people still watch television and marketing was you know look. How else are we supposed to tell people about the so? They told the around two weeks like he has to change his title. uh-huh and We never knew what it was going to be. Some suggestions were so weak sauce and then ultimately wound up with cop-out so what what was it about it that was and experience. You didn't want to recreate. Who would ever want to work with somebody who doesn't WanNa be there right? That's a heartbreaking heartbreaking and finding out that at the top of the Mountain Elton. Nobody gives a shit while you had mentioned this one of your and I. There's a theme that keeps coming up. That I've noticed. Is that one of your impetus for wanting to do this at all was seeing your dad. Laugh at the outtakes for cannonball run and I was. I had to run to the bathroom so I can outsmart well weighted tied together absolutely right moviemaking being should be fun. The joy of it first and foremost like I you know. I know some people Christopher Nolan. I'm sure it'd be like hey man it's about the art and model and God bless him. That's why makes movies. He makes these very successful. But for me the only reason to pursue this is because we're getting away with murder by having fun as adult totally. We did as children. They get money in the moment. They figure it out where there'd be a good thing going. Yeah we robbed a bank. That's why I love so I'll I'll watch out takes you know if I can't sleep or from having a bad day I'll I'll take some like stepbrothers or absolute joy you sit there like a watching people crack each other up up and that's how you know like you know how fucking funny you have to be to make. Will Farrell Laugh. Her just long laugh. which were set Rogan break character is still still remembered that now? I don't want to Belabor attack Mary point but like I still remember to do that. Goto south and it was a join the moment on neutral. Him break-up where he's like where he he was man I'd love as in the C- I lived for two. He's like well have you. Because you're not at my demographic Emma Graphic user. What's your demographic and you like? Do you like pussy goes. Yeah not you go okay. Well the removing Dade in character As much as you could but when he broke it was messy break. You could see on Youtube but you can find it if you do like Justin Long. Seth Rogan exactly. Marie outtakes So you do you have this experience on cop out which is the opposite of what you're soaking up when you watch outtakes right. It's like you know it's to avert what's it be fair any day. The number one wasn't there. Yeah was pure joy like every 'cause I was making a movie moving on forget the American side. We were talking about beat up but I was also made Tracy. Morgan was legit one of the funniest human beings. Yeah so and generous right incredibly generous. You talk about man who has gone through a harsh bout with his diabetes and was physically debilitating.

"Manage clerk? I mean Jesus so you know it's clear I don't go out there and force my politics exempt people. I'm I'm fucking sit around talk about presents like that because if you see my this is the one area my life like you know most people like David set your makes a movie and then Dave Venture don't go out and do like nineteen podcasts and lime you were an always come out after the let me tell you what happened has gotten to fight He lets the work. Speak Week for itself right me on the other guy who's like ooh. Let me tell you how that happened bottled up but when it comes to to my politics that's where I let the work speak for for itself so interesting just like look. You've seen the meows right. You've listened to the broadcast clearly and you have a perspective. Yeah and I don't force it down. People's throats gone whoever. Don't think my way in idiot but like you don't know what's going to trigger some talk in that photo for as many people that were like fucking doc in. Yeah Yeah there were. I would say a quarter of that where people were angered by will and social media allows you to to just go with those swims. It allows you to just be taken by those fits of outrage or jealousy or whatever it is because you can just with the click of a button ends or a couple buttons. You can tell somebody that they suck or that you don't like them or you can just stop following somebody you can you can. Disengage with the click of a button. You know what it is. I think instead of honking at through it's not only just as I was GONNA say this generation but I don't think he's generations this modern world. Yeah you make things So tailor-made the direct consumer is all about. We gotta get them where they live. So let's create something where we can they can just order something convenience somebody uh-huh somebody will drop it off to them They don't WanNa leave their house. They want isolate June. They WANNA be able to drive but not try but they don't WanNa take a cab because I don't know fucking who wants to call a cab but they will use an APP to like get somebody who's not a licensed driver to come pick them up like technology is kind of and this is not a complaint not like this is not me pointing something out and saying this. This is broken needs to be fixed but my observation is technology is completely infantilized us to the point and the modern world not just technology to the the point where we have these incredible expectations of what is in an how life is supposed to bait. That's why have like you know petition with over a million signatures signatures whatever the fuck of a bunch of people telling. Hbo You have to reduce season. Eight of game of thrones because we didn't like it. Oh my God I mean think about it like this is the culture of like like if you don't like it we'll change it. They put a trailer for fucking a sonic. The hedgehog movie and people are so outraged by the character of the CGI characters mouth that the filmmaker has since apologized. Taken the movie down and said that they're going to Delay the movie until twenty twenty in order to fix really what everybody everybody doesn't know and now I'm not saying that's wrong. I'm not saying this out saying. Can you believe this fucking where we are but I get how it happened. You got a bunch of people sonic cost in a godly amount of money. And whoever's Megan Sonic is like well the people who were.

"Like we gotta get through this because we got to set up the next one like, once you get your foot in the door, you're like wanna keep. Fucking working and stuff and I wasn't making big hit. So it was like, I gotta make sure the next thing set up before this fucking implodes or doesn't become what it should be so that I could get the next thing fucking go on and stuff. So, and it wasn't until years later, get your head up you look around, you know, Jesus, we do a lot in the last few years and stuff, this time around, I was fully cognizant of, like this is rare like I know exactly like Zala goes, just another view. Skew movie and shit. It's like I've done this long fucking time, and after the heart attack it really had all the feeling of like this man almost died and it made him feel very old. And so. To make himself feel very young again, he went up to the attic, and he pulled that all Zoll toys, and he played with them and fogging reinvigorated. And that's what it was, like, like I got to pull out, every view skunik verse action figure that ever meant something to my stories or, or to me, or whatever, and put them all into one thing, even more so than like when we did on Jane's, Bob strike back and so aside from all the returning players. We got a bunch of, like fucking, cool people show up as well which had everything's do like the heart attack. Everybody came to do the movie after they were done would come over and be like, I'm glad you're alive and then lead which was a nice way of saying, that's why did this don't call again, unless you're on death's door. So at the end of the day Jane's, Bob shock back has twenty two those single cars reboot us forty four. We wound up getting fucking more people. And I couldn't I that's definitely the heart attack. And it's also New Orleans, which I thought would have been. Attractor because it's like you gotta fly to three hours to get there from Los Angeles. But you forget, it's fucking nor lean. So when you call people, and you're like, would you like to come out to New Orleans for today's like in the middle of mardi gras and you're gonna pay for everything fuck? Yes. And so people would come out and stuff. So really like worked out. We did it like we thought mardi gras was gonna hurt us, but it actually wound up in a weird way, helping us get some cool cast to come out hems with percents. And that came off of like the press the invented fair. They did this piece where they talked to him and shit, and he talked about he mentioned my name used my fucking name news. Kevin Smith was talking about the podcasts. And, and we realize like people, listen guy. Hey, maybe we should try something, and I was like Chris knows many. So when we were putting this movie together, I say, reach out to fucking Chris Hemsworth. He, he seemed to know my name, and he listened to one of the podcast. At least one. And fucking damn..

"I dropped my line and asked him if he'd be upper coming into our studio popping his empire podcast cherry, he said, yes. And so what you're about to hear is the joyous result has been Travis. Nice sat down with Kevin to talk about well, all sorts, or more accurately be talked at about all sorts because if you're here, then you'll probably know the Kevin Smith is a talker. And had he not had run offer a plane back to LA. This would have been a much much longer special. But Ben, and I had a lot of fun and even managed to get a word every now and again we hope you guys enjoy as well. We talk about his life, as a podcast about his attitude towards his films and career analogies. Has some extra perspective. We talked about Jan bulb reboot. Of course, we talk about the Chris Hemsworth, cameo insane. We talk about the STAN Lee cameo in captain marvel and how Kevin helped make that possible. And of course, we talk about his heart attack. We also about fifteen minutes from the end turn it into a mini offenders and game. Spoiler special. So if you still haven't seen the second biggest movie of all time info, correct time of recording. Then perhaps skip that couple of minutes. Right. That's enough for me. You're here to this Kevin Smith. So here he is enjoy, we're delighted to be joined the apple podcast by a man who is director, a writer, an actor knows his way around podcast to podcast. I was waiting for that one. I was like this. The only reason I get to be good at that. That's That's a a fucking fucking penny. pinnacle year career isn't a cable really is, actually, there's kind of second act in many ways, like when film dried up for a minute, like in, you know, to be fair dried up, right? I was like, I'm done. I'm retiring, and shit podcasts kind of fueled me, not just like spiritually because it was very you know, like all this is kind of punk rock easy, like you could just come up with a name for your band, and you don't really need to know for cords, and you sit down with friends and like just pretend because you've seen people do your whole life, and like oh, now we're doing it and shit like it's same way that, like, you know, two kids from joy division discovered that they would be new order fucking that music was part of their lives like our good at this. And, like that's kind of what, what we did it wasn't like this'll be the plan. It was just kind of, like, oh, that, that happened. Oh, it worked and all this kept working. And then I got to a point where I was like I don't want to do anymore. And podcasting took on. On that same electric vibe that film had had for may words like you mean anybody can do this like anybody could just look. Nobody's gonna stop us. So podcasting was even easier because required like no means whatsoever. And because of all the laserdisc commentary tracks I was ready. I was ready to chat. So, yeah, I it was beautiful, and then ironically, like, podcasting than fueled like a stage of the movies with tusk and yoghourts. And then the forthcoming Meuse chose and honestly now I feel like I'm getting to a place in my career where it's like my of Aleutian or or or line of from here to there starts with phantom. And I really feel in my heart heart's it ends and phantom as well. I don't think I go out directing a movie. I not I'm not like doing that. I'm gonna retire thing I just think that like making movies is less of a priority to me. Then the convenience and ease and wander of sitting down and talking to somebody, you know what I'm saying like an I understand like now podcast game is fucking outed men. Everybody's saw billboard for.

"Do you have now Fatman beyond with Marc Bernardin? And that one is like that. That's actually pretty close to real Kevin Smith too because that's just me fanning out on things I like that podcast because like same reason, I like Hollywood Babylon talk about anything, but me. And so you that's still even though you're not talking about. You reveals a lot about who you are like because of the fat man Fatman Batman, which became Fatman beyond podcasts. Like, I got. I was able to embrace how fucking you know, we'd be an emotional IM. Like, you know, because now I just I am guy. So you're expected to be stoic and shit. Or at least I was and then I started like just crying over comic books come up of movies, and like putting that out there in the world you'd hear me on the podcast and shit. And sometimes I like shot myself watching flash and crime which led to me getting a job on flashes. Well, so like I learned to wear my motions on my sleeve because the audience was okay with that. Like anytime, I push the edge a little bit outside the movies in podcast, and let them know little bit more about who. I was that in judge me. They weren't should he like fucking cry or flash and fucking tune in Elizabeth this bitch shit, or whatever. But people being. Like, I know feel man, I should makes me fucking emotional too. And suddenly, you get to be you even more publicly. So I I'm with you. I of all the Kevin Smith's. I like Kevin Smith the best like the the one. That's like, oh, that's who. He is. Yeah. It's cool. And I think it's allowed you you mean being somebody who is just there from the very beginning. You're at the vanguard like the forefront of developing your own audience like at what point did you realize like, hey, I don't have to make huge movies that appeal to everybody like I've got these people. They love me. I'm gonna take care of them. And like, I'm good it never occurred to make huge move. Is it also it never to me that I didn't have to cop out experience. Yeah. There's that who Evans and that. Podcasts where you talked about that leading up to it. And when it was nine or something. Did it sound like a car wreck slowly evolving car wrecks? You know, there was definitely tension between you, and Bruce Willis, I mean, that's all I remember vaguely it wasn't their regional name of that movie. Like a couple of Dicks. Yeah. Great. So and the only only movie you did that you didn't right? Yeah. At the ball the flicks. I've done. Yeah. That was the only one I didn't write. And it was I mean now, I do that with supergirl and flash episodes. That was like, you know, my gosh, I'd never done it for I've done it. Once prior to cop out a directed pilot for TV show called reaper, but I wound up doing so much like say, this this that that felt more like may cop out was definitely like somebody else's scrutiny. Let me see if I could Steven Soderbergh this shit and direct tried. You know, I didn't Venezia some people like fucking blows. And that some people like to honestly, we were always trying to make like TNT movie that could play on TNT and TBS over and over again like the TNT classics at the time we were making the movie I remember like hopefully one day this'll be TNT classic. And now it does play on TV..

I should kill them. Right. That that's straight up Clayton Bixby so committed to the cause and kill them. So so thank you to Kevin Smith apologies to Kevin Smith for me kind of rushing him at the end of that Stanley interview. We wanted to do a video with him and then lights camera barstool had him right afterwards. When you come through the car wash. Everybody gets, you know, twenty minutes, and I definitely wanted to get Kevin Smith's thoughts on Stanley. But I realized with about like six minutes to spare. I brought up the most important person in his professional life. So I don't think he was going to just be brief about it. So I kind of was like all right, man. Thank you for coming through. And we appreciate that. We gotta go. But I would've sat there and listened to him talk about Stanley and comic. Hours. But I didn't wanna cut into listen. I knew that Bob. Fox's waiting and Bob FOX, you know, he literally had a panic attack before he sat down with Kevin because he was so excited. So I was not trying to take up any his time. But yeah, it's ox when I do it to our podcast for that guy. Twenty minutes, you know. So I was not rushing him out of not a dickhead. But by the way, Brendan Brennan pitched Kevin Smith after after the recorded on his captain marvel My has mother has ten. been annoyingly to it. He's been nursing out the idea he was like knowingly nerdy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean every single time I see some captain marvel Mike. I bet my idiot brothers over there saying she's a bad guy. Check the Twitter feed. Guess what there? It is. I I don't I don't I love the theory. It's just it's just not going to happen. That's the lamest like retort like, oh, we'll because of politics people are going to say, it's so boring. I don't think that it's politics. I just don't think the movie is going to have her be a bad guy. You're asking me is a bad guy in in the comic books, and you're like, oh is the regional captain marvelous the girl, captain marvel isn't. But the original story line is that he's asleep or sell interesting. And that's like, basically what you laws character is going to be. So I don't think it's the craziest thing to move quick. Choose lar-. I thought it was the girl. What's going on? Yeah. Captain marvel is the girl, right? There was a guy named captain marvel was probably going to be Jude law's character. And that guy was a was a shape shifting bad guy. I just think that they the ban is the bad guy. So of cat, the marvel shows up, and she's just like aunt Banos aside. Then what would it be funny? If the movie was actually fifteen minutes long, and it was just like, yeah. There's another bad guy. And she definitely kills everybody. And they went world fucker up. Yeah. We'll Kevin Smith said he had heard the theory that she just gets snapped at the end of this movie at the end of captain marvel which like an end. So we don't even know what the so it's like she doesn't matter because he's dead to all right? Probably also isn't going to happen. And then our new theory that can Jack, and I came up with his maybe at the end of this movie. She starts to get dusted. Yeah. But she like powers through it. And like she just like grits her teeth, and like she can overcome this. That's probably more likely than harping back. I honestly, I think was probably more likely is that she just shows up and she's a good guy. Right. Unfortunately, there's a there's a high probability of that. It's not like I'm like they're trying to. Theory. She's she's a Ken Fokker, some she treat Fokker some shit. What we should create cre- cre- in in this thing. She ate that means says you're cre- like a race. Yeah. His the Cree in the scrolls. I check out at some point. Eventually like, I can't. Well, what did you answer Ken, Jack when he said, what's your favorite kind of in Finnish war? Yeah. I was going to. And then I remembered my first true love superman for that's nuclear man..

You gotta think of it as one of your favorite if you're not a comic book. Geek, you've got to think of it. As one of your favorite authors has died or one of your favorite actors has died, especially when they've created so many great characters. That's what he was. He was authored, and he was a crater and the story guy who's producer as you know, in Hollywood. If he was in Hollywood, that's what he would have been a writer director producer everybody was in comics. So he was helping the guys, you know, shape stuff and come up with the name. He came up with the name Spiderman. Handed off to dicicco and Kirby. And then of course, they ran with it. And actually, drew everything. Yeah. But he came up with the concept and probably consultant on some of the plots. Exactly what he did. Yeah. Yeah. In the various obits. They've talked about over the years about, you know, who did what went in home, and we're talking about life in the fifties and sixties in New York City, and those buildings sure ideas flying all over the rooms. And who knows what came up with what you know. So when they had a bunch of baby boomers who didn't have a lot of limits. So they were just going to. They didn't have anything holding them back. Exactly. And that's Mike antelope canon, my producer, can you tell he's a comic con freak and do you have a collection of your own? That's I was more of a DC guy. But I did have three great marvel comics I had a Spiderman with. The in humans was trying to remember their name with the hint, humans that was Medusa the woman who had red hair that would make like an octopus, snakes, I had one with her and the cover ended up being the key scene and Spiderman two with Tobey Maguire when he stopped the train. The in the comic he was stopping the Coney Island roller coaster from. Okay. So that corporation the film that was cool to see that say a fantastic four. I was big fan of majestic four back in the seventies. I was a huge fan of them. Well, that is another one of the creations. Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer will score 'Wonder Woman 1984'
"Let's move on to our next topic in this news discussion, and that is wonder, woman nineteen Eighty-four has gotten has announced their composer Brad tells us about it. Yeah, it's a pretty exciting. I think, upgrade in my opinion the the original score or wonder, woman was was pretty solid. I, you know, I, I enjoy the theme, but that came from the Batman versus superman ejection of wonder woman, but Rupert grace. Williams still did a pretty good job making a solid score for it. But for wonder, woman is eighty four. We're getting Hans Zimmer who is probably best known for providing the score for all the Christopher Nolan, Batman movies, and having him on board is definitely, I think going to make this movie even more epic than the first one Hans emerges has away with his orchestral arrangements that has really brought a lot of life to DC movies, and he's just he's really just one of the best, you know, composers out there like Hans Emmers among the household names that you hear when people know people who have scored movies among ended likes of John Williams and things like. That. So, yeah. Hear what he does. His score for the dark Knight, I think is still one of my favorites of all time. So if he could, if he could bring even a tenth of that to wonder woman, I would be happy each day. How do you feel about this new year? Big wonder, woman fan I make fed. I I remember Hans Zimmer was the one who composed wonderman. I sort of issue with you introduction theme and they reuse that for wonder woman. And I've maybe they'll kind of re imagine it for wonder, woman nineteen Eighty-four, which I'm very excited for perhaps a few more electric. Guitars. Ooh, I'm excited for him to sort of tap into maybe the cynth- of eighties music and see if he plays without a little bit. Oh, I didn't even think about that. That'd be. That'd be fantastic. I am so excited.

Since GoldenEye Owen Barbara's father, cubby broccoli died. They're not young people. They wanna enjoy the retirement, but they would take many millions of dollars. They can get from selling the bond movies and going off and enjoying themselves. But I think that if that does happen, it'll be long after Craig is done after bond twenty-five that does this settled. Okay. Let's move on to our next bit of news in that is that Kevin Smith is doing a hit girl comic setting, the kick ass universe that will pit the kick ass character against the predators of Hollywood. Each t- what is going on. So this new comic four issue miniseries call is called hit girl, the golden rage of Hollywood, quite on the nose, and it's ten by Kevin Smith. It's his first project after he's been recovering from his heart attack. They had earlier this year and he wrote a four issue mini series for the hit girl. Comic book run that will also feature contributions by Jeff linear. Edwato re re so so hit girl, golden rage of Hollywood follows hit girl as she heads to Hollywood to target the predators of Hollywood in there come up in post Harvey Weinstein, and it kind of is very timely on the nose. And because this is Miller rolled, of course, metoo movement has to have a healthy heaping of bloodshed and violence. It is interesting that Kevin Smith is doing this because you know, Kevin Smith his entire careers, probably owed to Harvey Weinstein. I wonder if the Harvey Weinstein will appear as a character in, you know, this kick ass comic book a, like I feel like you know, dead pool and kick ass Asser the only to you kind of like big franchises that can can kind of pull off that kind of mix of meta nece in the real world, Joe Jacob, you, you are our biggest comic book guy on the site, and you're not a huge fan of kick ass though. What do you think of this news. It's very much in with the Mark Millar template, even though he's not writing it, it's this is very much about being as a shocking offensive as possible while ago after targets who are easy to hit and that's fine. I mean, I'm all for Kabul where a female superhero takes revenge on the worst of the worst and. I, we'll see you Harvey Weinstein it by, but we'll see an analog with you. Somebody who looks and sounds a lot like them so they don't get sued. Yeah. I mean, it's Mark Millar he he has. His thing comes not used to be playing into that thing, and that's fine. I mean, catch bits of my money a better comic writer than he's a film director because it allows him to emphasize his strengths which is writing oil. It's on artists handle the visuals. So even though I won't pick this up, I mean, if you're a guess fan, he's like Mark Millar for like comes method. It's a good. It's a good combination of things. Yeah. If you are a Kevin to fan and have never checked out, some of his comic book runs, I would highly recommend checking out his run on daredevil, which back in the day I remember it being a fantastic. It's probably on the level of the good stuff that comes out today. It does. He have any other congress that you might recommend take up? I actually really enjoyed his green arrow run, which is all collected. I believe in one big hardcover that interest you mainly because green arrow. Is a character who's not sacred to a lot of people. So you imagine to have a lot of fun with them that way? Yes. Okay. Let's move on to your next bit of news and that is for the Star Wars animated series, Star Wars resistance. We now have learned that Lia or Ghana will be part of that series, and it will be set six months before the force awakens Chris wrote to for the site..

"Morning zoo presents celebrity dirt so i used to watch american horror story religiously watch every episode of the first five seasons and if i had to pick my two favorites would be murder house in covent low murder house was the very first season was career force which whatever it's hurt get really weird like roanoke and cult those were just they were just really weird yeah just trying to hide while i'm guessing producers finally realized that it was starting to get so seki so now they're doing a crossover season this upcoming season between a murder house and then really really looking forward to this sort of like it then you hate it you might love it again so i'm definitely going to give this one tribe drake's new video or i'm upset is a massive degrassi high school reunion now remember that was the show he was on the canadian team and he got tons of former co stars to appear in the video it came together in about a week they got a bunch of people in it even no kevin smith jason mewes there jay and silent bob characters did some episodes in two thousand five but one former co star who didn't make the cut was daniel clark and he was a little sad music video and so i was like in a state of shock i was like whoa a lot of people knew about it it was just really strange that i never heard from anyone can get the phone get the phone call how'd you suck on that show or what did you do to drake as cold everybody know when you mentioned jay and silent bob they were only mean a couple episodes make this guy was in the whole show and they didn't call him was he the guy who shot jimmy jerry wheelchair yeah you would think nah yeah something had to have happened hoops coming up in the next after twenty six seasons and four thousand episodes one of your favorite shows is ending dirty looks never seen you adjust it's special occasion not in glad i made it john big time again wait.

"Of course everybody got slide slime was created i think because of that show slime was created for you can't do that on television right so canada own slot advantage slime and then threw it on a lantis morissette right because she used to be on on that show they originated the slime then nickelodeon picked up those canadian shows and then slowly they adopted the slime because it was sort of the mascot of that whole network they would do their nickelodeon awards and whoever was hosting we gets lines so they are bringing it back the no word on yet who's going to be the host but i didn't know it was on from nineteen eighty six to nine hundred ninety three so it was on for seven seasons yeah wildly successful and they're bringing it back and i think that's a great idea i'm not gonna think wines posting kevin smith as a guy being charge of kids talking get messy they would never let me be in charge of children no that's probably true then all right so then who think of somebody who's like in a different world where he wasn't as huge as he is now dwayne johnson would be the perfect coast right thank so who is the affordable twain johnson kevin spacey no wait a minute now that i think about it it'd probably always free probably a bad choice i know time when i was just thinking maybe don't wanna put him with the kids i think another person who wears george johnson johnson he seems to be in that fucking world yeah he's very family friendly and stuff and everything funny guy good end of the bowl as well ferdinand your head that movie blockers out there was a big hit one against him though right for kids show what's the name of that movie blockers blocking walk blocker cox yeah.

"And he comes out after that and he's like so everybody back there who's reacting to this just just be scared everybody just be scared and i was so mad about it because i was like one is not what the script says in to like you're not even going to like have a conversation with us just gonna be like this is how you gotta do it everybody does the same way in that's it but i guess like they do have a lot to get through so maybe that's just the way that they they do that on tv shows some like things like gotham where it's so many different moving pieces to it but i didn't like that i mean i've heard of heard kevin smith talk about directing for tv versus directing for movies and i've also heard other people say that conversation that in tv a lot of times the whoever the show run because you're right each episode we'll have a different director but usually like whoever the show runner is for the show as a whole is way more like a director for a film then the director of each episode is usually an iheart kevin smith talking about the difference between direct movies and directed tv and he was just like honestly when i direct tv like apt of feel like i'm just there to just as like all right be a cheerleader what you don't manages guys yeah like he said he feels almost useless on tv set compared to all the movies he's directed over the years shit about eight at one alive director i've worked with seem to not actually direct they just they that's a big problem is a lot of directors that in my experience don't know how to direct actors at all and they don't they seemingly don't have much interest in it they just direct what the camera guys doing what the dp doing which is like why you hire a dp like the director f retarded takes care of the shot you're supposed to like talk to the actors and direct the actors and the scene but that doesn't have a lot and that really sucks actives do think so.
