"A force, a lot of turnovers. And when they get steals, it's, it's a fast break waiting to happen. They've got athletes, long armed guys like he Baca. Leonard come all getting ready to block shots makes teals get into the passing lanes and then race to the other end for dunks guys who can shoot threes, and then they've got their superstar in Leonard who can create something out of nothing when you have to have shot. So there's a reason they're here. They're great team. And they are a huge challenge for us. Particularly given our health situation. So we've, we've got a big job on our hands. I think we're ready but we're playing elva team. Steve Kerr, of course, the raptors in the words get things going for the NBA finals tomorrow night in Toronto. Quite obviously is, as you mentioned, the last time, I think you guys are quite was in a conference final, and they were they were working with and then took over, and then everything went from there. But the thing that is most intriguing to me about it is to. With you. He went into his, his. It was over. That's it was over in ten Yuan. But the thing that, that to me, that's most intriguing is how they're going to employ him defensively. They, they could rest on the dollar. They could put him on clay at times curry, how do you expect them to employ him defensively? Well, that's, that's kind of the point they can do whatever they want. So they probably will do multiple things you know, I think you'll see him on dream on some so that you can guard the dream on Steph pick and roll, they'll probably throw them on stuff, you know, in games for possession, or to hear there. Wouldn't expect him to be on clay. You know, I don't I don't think they want him chasing Klay everywhere. Because he's you know he has a burden offense that he has to carry. But they've got a lot of versa Tilleke and much like ourselves you know they've got. Got a lot of options in terms of matchup. So it'll be very interesting to see what they do. Could you see scenario which they put him on a Dolon just let him be the kind of the Rover and gum up things? Yeah. I could see that. You know, and then you know you just go down the line. You would you know what you expect is Lowry on Steph and Danny green on clay. Because green is traditionally, chase Klay around quite a bit in his career has guarded him pretty well. So that's what you would think. And then, you know all the center and then you, you do whatever you want with Leonard, and Seok. Like what we do with, with Draymond and Kevin when Kevin salt. He just, you know, pick a match up and decide how you want to go. But Leonard can guard anybody. He's brilliant of under where you look at the way, Danny green shot the ball against the bucks. Now that, you know, they won the series would you have been thinking, gotta hope he makes a few of these wanna missing everything coming into the finals. Remember him in the final few years ago with the Spurs? I mean he made he was he was close to being finals empty was five in the first game. Yeah. And he made like twenty seven. Oh, he's in seven games. And so he's capable. We know that. And you know, and then van leap kind of flipped it around and make anything I couple series. And then he got the last few games. So you know that's a lot of times these games he series just hinge on, you know make shots. And, and you gotta hope that you guys are not going down. And, and try to defend the other guys especially kid comes really interesting player is an and he's really really come on and made himself a really nice NBA player in the length that be ability to guard multiple positions, issues three pretty well. Didn't shoot a well against Milwaukee, but he's a reasonable mid thirties, three point shooter can put the ball on the floor. I he's not really liked dream on the way they play, but he's kind of their dream on that he does a multitude of different things for them and makes them better team when he's on the court what do you see with him? I think actually good compared. Okay. I mean just the just the versatility and the ability to multiple positions. And playmaking big, you know if you if you trap the pick and roll, and Ceac gets the ball, he can make a you know, a secondary play and, and create a shot from self or teammate. And that's not easy to find. And so that's a major factor for that team is really good, very, very versatile young player and having a great year. So he's a big part of their team. You mentioned van Vliet. And you're right. He really turned it around the last two games of that series started playing with a lot of confidence feud the ball. And I, I like his toughness, like, I think I pound for pound. You might not find a tougher back court. The Maori inventively. I mean they're just they're not big guys, but they're tough guys guys, if you're going to be that size and making the NBA you got to have a little bit of a chip chip on their shoulder and they certainly do. Yeah. And like you said, they're not they're not told but their you know their fire. And if they switched they can hold their own down on the block against bigger players. And so, yeah, those guys are tough and, and made made a lot of big shots against Milwaukee. So very very good team deep team. And you know, as I said, there's a reason they're here, and we, we have a lot of respect for them. And we know we know we've got a big job on our hands, and, and it's made all that, all that much more difficult, given our health situation. So we'll, we'll see what we got tomorrow night, and hopefully get to a store, the series m curious Steve having done this for five straight years now. What are, you know, now, the, you did know heading into your your, your first finals against the Cavaliers, whether it'd be about, you know, none on the court, but off the court stuff practicing pacing getting ready for the series having days off between. How do you handle those may what do you know now that you look back and said, again, I, I would say, I wish. Had known them, but you wouldn't that seriously to need to know that anyway, but I'm just curious how you've grown as a coach. And when you look back and say, I feel much more comfortable with myself doing this now. The overall pacing of your team over the course of the year first couple years, that was that concept was foreign to me, because I had never coached. And even though I had played, I didn't quite have a sense for, you know exactly what the team needed from day to day. And then on top of that, just, you know, the, the finals experiences so different, and it's great to be able to talk to the players with a knowledge of what this is gonna feel like and, and have, you know, half the roster have that same experience and what I mean is just how different the practices are with five hundred media members, they're practicing at the arena, so that they can do media day and you only have to instead of the usual eight at your practice facility, you know, the NBA is obviously doing it for media. Purposes. But, you know, they really take you out of your whole routine and you're preparing for the biggest basketball games of your lives. It's not ideal at all. And put you can't let that stuff bother you and, and most players are creatures of habit. And, you know, they've got the routines, and they're going media, thrown with five hundred people. And you know fifteen players to hoops and everybody's trying to get their shots up. It's sort of infuriating, you know, you wanna be wanna prepare the way, you've always prepared. So all these little things like that, it helps to have been through it, and just to try to help your players through it as well when you were a player did use to say you'll Mike man. I'm trying to get some shots. Can you can you can you help me out to the locker room floors mine, right? Steve. Here, by the way things for retweeting that story about the Tronto superfan. That was pretty good pretty good stuff. Yeah. He's great. I've seen that guy for like twenty years right in the front row behind the basket on the visitors side. And he's you can't miss him. He got big turban a raptors jersey and he's got a huge smile on his face. He's kind of the raptors superfan. And, and every time I walk into the gym over the last twenty years, he, he gives me a wave and wave. And we, you know, say low, but that's the first time I knew his story was reading that, that threat. So I that's why retweeted I just thought it was really cool. And I've always loved Toronto to great, great city fund visit here. And and his story was. Kind of symbolic of, of what the city's like the cell phone. I do not. Okay. I'm gonna ask them and ask them. Do you what do you mean combat what I'm standing up for myself on now fantastic? I thought. Jokes. Bad enough. The first time. Yeah, but a dad Bali is completely acceptable. No, it's. I beg to differ, you both. A year. What's funny is a year ago when you played Cleveland that game number one set the tone, Jair Smith makes that, that play at the end obviously, forgets everything that's going on. And you guys win that and then you end up sweeping the series being on the road like you are obvious. And I know you've answered questions about being on the road, but a team that's not been there, except for coli you could take home court advantage back to setting the tone for the entire series. How big is it game one tomorrow night? Well, you mean when you go on the road to start a series, you, you know, the goal is to win one of the first two and, and get the momentum in your own favor and, and. Game. One is, is kind of.

"To come and give the state of the union. The state of the union has not been good and has been devices. Kevin salt in harm's economy. To peace and prosperity. Maxine. Anything that he has to say she lies over and over again. Like, I said six thousand lives have been documented since I just can't imagine what he's gonna to try and say. Is a great liar. He'll say anything because he's capable of saying anything with fish. She has a fan. And so I'm not looking forward to his state of the union. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Crazy box. Everybody's got their dopey invited guests the Democrats are inviting a lot of undocumented people the other thing they're doing is they're inviting government workers who suffer during the partial government. Trump is inviting this kid with the name Trump. Josh Trump who got bullied at school for because his last name is Trump. He's going to be there as a special guest of the president. He is of course, also inviting family members of those killed by illegal immigrants. That's that's a given the past couple of years from Trump, but of our interest is the designated survivor. It's a little complicated this year. This is the one member of the cabinet who was closeted away at a secure undisclosed location to assure continuity of government in case, a big disaster happens. Well, the problem this year is two things. Number one. The person that is designated survivor has to be a Senate confirmed secretary in natural born citizen right now, Trump has a lot of acting people. He's got an acting Defense Secretary. Here's an acting attorney general he's an acting interior secretary. And he has transportation secretary Elaine Chao who was born in Taiwan, so many people quit. And he never set they new nominee Senate yet. So. Last year was the agricultural secretary Sonny Perdue and he's still on the job. So it could be him again. Like me again. I gotta go hide in the bunker. Now, if you were that guide, and they knocked on your door. And and and the guy next said, oh, it happened sunny it happened right bomb head nuclear bomb. Could you imagine more government? You're the president. I guess that was a is it still an ABC's series called designated survivor for Sutherland plays the guy that becomes president because everyone got wiped out and some like attacker. Something terrible loss. Oh and delivering the rebuttal. Oh boy. And this shows you where we are. Now is the loser democratic candidate for governor of Georgia's Stacey Abrams. Yeah. Right. So I don't know who's going to watch. That's who they chose to deliver the. But you know, what there's there's about a thousand channels on my cable system now. Yes. And there's net flicks and YouTube. Oh, and you don't nobody has to watch this. No, it'll be on a lotta channels. But there's many I don't care if it's Trump or not Trump. Oh, and by the way, what he should watch. This study New York City congresswoman, I mentioned Alexandria, Cossio Cortez.
