Bryson DeChambeau on upcoming Masters Tournament
"Back in november when we were here for an unprecedented masters tournament. One of the most noticeable differences was the lack of patrons it made for a very different tournament for the competitors. Here's bryce into shambo on what it was like playing with no patrons and his perspective on what to look forward to this week last year. It's masters dara's patron and it was pretty empty and quiet. How did you feel the fans are finally back to cheer for you here. Yeah i've already seen it in the practice round Yesterday i played nine with the all ian. Kevin kevin ollie Runner up in the us amador. And obviously kevin's a good friend and we had a fun time just messing around with the crowd. There was a moment on nine. Probably about a minute minute and a half. We were just joking around with the crowd. It's fun to be able to interact with the crowd and and get them going again. I think hearing those sounds you know whenever something somebody makes an eagle or amazing birdie or those sounds down by aiming corner and then you know buy fifteen sixteen are going to be pretty special here in that again. We haven't heard that in

"Losing that kind of stuff it's going to be the difference between you getting potentially a top seventy high prospect in not and then one a one piece of clerical work here because you can't self imposed these violations there was a clause hurley's contract he gets another year pair so he will be he is there a contractual through twenty twenty four twenty twentyfive he exercise that the extra year so just a matter of this becoming officials today puts that in place and obviously that's a that's a good thing for hurley and ideally a good thing for you but yeah it's a weird situation where you have a list of coming down the fan base was not rooting for it they're they're generally okay with you normally don't see this kind of thing happen no it is weird 'em in as far as dan's contracted as you know it's it's similar to a chris max contract the little he took the job understanding that more nc double a's sanctions could be on the way and there were automatic rollover in the contract or something that equates to that if this day ever came so chris chris is got that little hole dan headed yukon andy unsurprising that it will now a come in to to play i i do think it's important to note that though yukon is going to argue it has argued that that it could fire kevin ollie for calls based on i guess we can now say fact that he was running a program outside of being a blade rule book the truth is and i hope most you can you can can can acknowledge this kevin ollie didn't get fired for this stuff kevin i got fired 'cause he went sixteen and seventeen in two thousand seventeen in fourteen and eighteen in two thousand eighteen he went thirty and thirty five in his final two years of yukon sixteen and twenty american athletic conference in his final two years you're kind of that is why kevin ollie was fired now i i think fortunately for yukon because of this other stuff exists they could point to it and tried a fire in per calls and not have to pay him be remaining roughly ten million dollars on his contract but the truth is what is alleged to have happened here at least in you correct me if i'm wrong it isn't even close to what happened with miles under jim kelly watch and yet you can still by jim to the day that he walked away a why because jim was winning at a high level consistently kevin ran the program under the ground that's why one guy got fired any other guy didn't anybody suggesting otherwise i think is being a little foolish yeah oh and i would think that nobody should be suggesting otherwise whatsoever 'em were gonna get to the big east and you kind of look ahead but yeah let's look back real quick here on a few things 'em the reasons that you mentioned were number one why kevin got fired but also you know speaking with multiple sources over the past year plus here a all they got lazy a he was distrustful of a lot of people within the greater yukon athletic department did not a aligned himself worth you know significant a people in athletic department like he was not boys he wasn't enemies which you know where i mean i know that jim calhoun gino have their own things but a did not used that alliance to the extent of which had had he had he done that gino auriemma is v most powerful person in the state that i reside here in connecticut and if he had been a more aligned and things really hit badly the way they did i mean it's possible all he might have been able to get one more year but 'em things really dissolve integrated in a really bad way i mean if you want a point to an example i guess this isn't the worst case 'cause that twenty fourteen yukon team which by the way it's not subject to any sort of game vacation here we're looking at a twenty sixteen seventeen and twenty seventeen eighteen because the violations that happened with the three you come players getting a training and lodging and free travel from a from a from a booster that happened in.

"This is typically the slow time of year for this sport in free agency dominates the headlines but yukons been in the news lately first because it is rejoining winning the big east and then earlier today because it was punished by the nc double a's per rules violations committed under former head coach kevin ollie so let's start with today's news here's basically what you need to know kevin ollie got a three year show comes penalty for a failure the monitor faded promoted atmosphere for compliance infer being the leading with nc double a's investigators meantime yukon will vacate a couple of bad season get two years probation lose a scholarship but this season ender some other minor recruited restrictions frictions but that's that's basically it best i can tell it's a big win for you copper two reasons one because these punishments will not impact the program going forward in any meaningful way or at least they shouldn't and secondly because kevin ollie is now i think gonna have a hard time arguing in court that he should not have been fired for calls which means he'll likely have a hard time collecting the remaining i believe ten million dollars on his contract so from my perspective this in a weird way the data you're extra punished by the nc double play looks like a great day for you can't they might have just essentially one ten million dollars norlander what say you yeah i talked with the yukon source a less than an hour ago that that notion would certainly touched upon the fact that he answered overlay by punishing yukon is actually doing yukon a favor and this is the outcome that a university in some ways would have preferred because the the school needs money in it does not wanna to pay kevin ollie a ten million dollars five million dollars or one million dollars 'em so that is is going to be hard for alita get his money maybe some sort of settlement eventually made some amount of money i think that's still a possibility a key distinction to make here's that simply ruled that kevin ollie 'em was overseeing level three violations here and then when he chose to mislead addle by the nc double investigators not opt in on a second interview 'em that is what triggered i level one infraction on his behalf and led to his show cause the stuff that you can't was caught doing under kevin all these watch would not a league to any sort of significant violations but it's the fact that ali misled and then so late through it's twenty month investigation process with able to prove that he was not completely forthcoming and then clearly they had more questions ali opted out of that and so going forward if he wants to get his money 'em however much you can earn thinks he hopes he can it might be zero a but the level the the show cause will not be the reason he doesn't get it he got the show cause because of stuff he did a in part a nearly under after his tenure had had finished at yukon and and as a quick aside i tweeted this out i speaking to a few people who have been around coming all i knew coming ali i don't think he wants to coach in college anymore so this show cause doesn't it's to me it's of it doesn't matter he's not looking the coach in college anyway but how it might impact him getting any kind of money is a is pretty interesting overall that's where the violations you hit on it i mean i i wrote the story the headlines up cbs sports dot com if you want to get into the particulars of confidence were listening i know you already are well aware of them there is some annoyance isn't here dan hurley and a staff just you know some recruiting stuff that you'd love to have in the moment and you don't get it you you lose out on some officials at at some communication stuff some what was already self imposed on that's gonna be for the season ahead but big picture you order the big east i don't think losing.

Check your local listings kick your day off with the NFL today. Kevin Ollie coming up. Next segment. You have your telephone number. Banging and telephone calls right now. If there's something you wanna talk about go ahead, one eight hundred six three six eight six eight six let's go to Louisiana Mark in Louisiana. It's good to have you on Mark. How are you? Thank you for accepting my phone call. I'm thinking of the big horse today or years ago today, we lost the Greg? You're talking about share belief, Mark. Yes, sir. The greatest that ever walked on a track. Yeah. You are a fan. I am his biggest fan jam up. Chatting with you a few times on Facebook over the years. And quite honestly, I've looked for you at the last four Breeders Cup. I hadn't been able to meet you but worthy honor of holding that crown of his greatest greatest fan. Marghera choking up a little bit. How you missed the big horse. Our crop out until I. We because. Sixty years old grew up here in Louisiana, and I have seen the greatest athletes that's ever played in the sports. And there was something about the big horse watching what he started. And he just he absolutely just a heart of never seen anything like it before in my life. The most competitive Roches. The best at his job and he loved it. He loved it. Oh, as a matter of fact, you described him best. In two thousand sixteen where he was a speaker at the thoroughbred owners club conference. I'm sorry at Gulfstream, and you described him as that five foot seven athlete that would walk into a professional locker room in walk around and look at all those monsters in that locker room, and he would look at them and say, I will take any of you own right now, anytime, let's go, and that was sheer believe he was that fears, but what made him so special an avid horse racing fan. I watch I watch horse racing. What other people here to lose the watch LSU football. I'll watch horse racing. But what made sure beliefs so special was just how smart he was how will you his job and how much he loved to compete and how much he refused to be defeated. He was just amazing to watch. He was so smart and GM on game day. Holy moly grill. Tickled at my wife. My wife will say shared belief had little man syndrome. Because he was. On game day. He knew what was about to happen. And he he he just he relished. Did he loved it? Let me jump in. I mark. I really appreciate you. I you and I can have this conversation all day long. I want to jump in and respond to what you were saying, Mark. I appreciate you know, Mark, I know Mark from Facebook and. He Mark love share belief. That's that's his favorite athlete. He points out. I'm in Louisiana and LSU football. He said, I'm a I'm a football fan. I'm a sports fan. But that's my favorite athlete ever. So the reason he called and he made that statement was share belief passed away three years ago today and share belief was a horse that we own in an ownership group and just really quickly share belief was a horse that Alex so lease and Jason Lee bought for our group there are bloodstock agents, and they saw the horse actually Jerry Hall indoor for had a horse that was in a race share belief up in northern California. And then the horse was shipped down to southern California. And our Sali's found it found out the horse might be for sale and scouted. The horse out did all this work on the horse. And then came to me and said this was at the very end of misdirections career and said, I've got a horse. It'd be fun. Are you in? I said, absolutely. I mean, I saw tape of the horse, and I saw the way he broke his maiden. And I said we have a chance to buy this horse. And now we move really quickly right now. If you write the check right now, I said I'm in. Let's do it. And share belief was a horse that quote, we thought we'd have a chance to earn our money back with or a horse that we thought we'd have some fun with deal went on to become the top ranked thoroughbred in the entire world. He was ranked number one in the world. And he was absolutely amazing animal an amazing athlete, and I literally had some throws my entire life interrupts sports by being shared belief, but share belief passed away three years ago today, and I'll never forget the phone call that I got from Alex. So lease it came early in the program, and I thought to myself that's not right. Alyssa, lease would not call me early in the program during the program unless something bad happened. And then he called and said, the big horse has colic. They're rushing him into surgery. Jim he may not make it. I said that's terrible and getting call it is a really bad thing especially for. So I say keep you posted. And then before the end of the program he calls back, and he said, Jim I'm so sorry to big hoist didn't make it. They couldn't save him. And all of a sudden, you have a horse that was ranked number one in the world. There was injured but was about to come back and is gone. And he was four the horse was four horses can run intil, especially he was a gelding now. So there was no need to get him off the track into breeding the real money in horse racing is not impersonal money. It's in breeding. This is why horses do not have long careers male horses because they make so much more money on the back end. He was gelded. So once he was done he had no residual value. There was no breeding the horse. So he could run. So he was eight nine ten who knows how long and if they run into their eighth or nine or ten horses live into their twenties if everything's okay this horse passed away at four now. I remember thinking when the horse went to surgery. My thought process was God, I'm not super spiritual guy, but don't take the horse. Whatever you do do not take this horse. I don't care if the horse never runs another race. Again. I don't care if the horse never earns another dollar again, just do not take this horse. Just give us the horse back, and let them will retire the horse immediately and put him on a farm where everybody can visit him and love him and respect him. But whatever you do take the horse. And then the horse was gone just like that. So that was three years ago. And I know a lot of you do not care about horse racing which I understand I think you would like it if you gave it a chance many of you, honestly. But if if on any level, you care what I'm about where I'm from what's important to me when I got a passionate about I can tell you this. I love that horse is much as anything I've ever loved. That's not my family, literally. I missed the hell out of that horse. Always miss that horse. I used to think Tom's going to go on because there are people are a group just say this before I go to break, and we'll keep moving their people in our group that on their own that horse, and we've all kind of dealt with this differently. And some of the group says listen now, we were so lucky to have that horse. We were so lucky to have that horse in our life. I'm just going to remember that. And I agree with that hundred percent. My life is so much better. And so much different for that short period of time with that horse. But I can say this now three years in that. That's not the only thing. I think of like that's always gonna it's gonna hurt like hell forever. Like, it's never gonna be. All right. That horse died at age four in. No, it could not have been prevented. Its it's colic. It just struck the horse down. We did everything we could we gave the horse the best medical care, we possibly could. And believe me, this horse was literally the toughest thing I've ever seen in my life. He talked about him having small man syndrome. It was a small horse like fifteen two hands, which is really small horse walked into the ring like a gladiator. And the the point that he made was a point. I made in a keynote speech where I said he's like that five. With seven guy walks into an NFL locker room and looks around and says, I'll take any of you. Let's get it right now. Any of you want some of this? Yeah. That's what I thought and walks out. That was share belief. So Mark, I appreciate your thoughts on that. That was three years ago. He passed away three years ago today. Sharing some thoughts with you. When we come back. Kevin. I always joins me. He is a Yahoo sports. Combat sports reporter Dennis Dodd next hour. Stay tuned. You are in the jungle. I'm Jim Rome time now for a bottom of the hour. Sports.

"Five six seventy nine teams left in quadrant. To does anybody. Even know what our system is anymore. We don't even know what the system what What I do I know do. is interesting part before we move on you talked about you gotta have a culture and a system and play. We don't we don't have one. So perfect irony. Spiderman me. Yeah. Indian field. And we're doing it the NCAA instead Quadra sister this whole point. That's what it is. We do have a system mocking that it's a bit. Then she as Quadra system makes no sense to us. So we're trying to create a Quadra system. That makes no sense. It's a bit. Yeah. The system as we are a bitch or. Yeah. I team up Yukon huskies, they get our boy, Dan Hurley, you talked about guys that can get you know, updated by how they do in the tournament Rhode Island as well. Dan, Hurley gets a job with the Yukon huskies he comes in and takes over on the. Yeah. Because he got he got the job because he went on that run with Rhode Island NCA tournament. They made the final. Oh, no, they they they lost in the elite. No. But they did make sweet. Oh, no. He's never made the Sweet Sixteen but his last name is Hurley. Now, we're back. Okay. And it's called the Hurley way, that's what he's implementing at uconn a lot of people didn't know this. But he said if you're a competitive player, you'll love this kind of environment the environment that he is creating is basically we're gonna fight each other's environment. You're gonna love this environment. It's called I'm not Kevin Ollie love that. It's a pretty good system. The guy that he hired to come in. This is the only interesting thing that I have this guy sow a losy, he's a director of human performance that name sounds familiar. I'm gonna give you a few reasons. Why one he was a guy that trip the Miami Dolphins gunner on the punt for the New York Jets? Do you? Remember that? Two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. He was a guy that made that trip as a guy that used to watch jets games. Oh, every time in two thousand ten that was one of the funniest things ever happened to me. And then if you're thinking to yourself, well, that's only one time. He's not that. Well, here's strike to. He also got in a fight with the real reebus in the locker room that same year. And basically the best player on the team. He tried to beat his ass. So he couldn't play. So let's strike number two. And then you're like, that's fine. You know, it's just all with the jets. Here's strike number three. Remember when Sean Diddy combs, he got that keto bell and tried to beat the shadow somebody for being mean to it's the same guy Sam alone. And that is that Saleh losy sorry, Sal lousy that is who your boy Hurley has brought in to be in charge of the conditioning is a twenty four hour process every single day on a schedule. So my question is who is going to fight who's going to fight next. Dan Hurley, I'm putting my life savings on Yukon the. Yeah, this is incredible. Can you did you? I honestly as I was I saw the name. And I was like why do I know that name so Google? And I was like that's the guy. That tripped. The dolphins guy then I'm dying laughing at that. I'm like something else has Typed typed into in. losy Diddy. It all checks out. He's alleged he's alleged three higher. That's all we need to say. A Jalen atoms is the best player in the American conference. Yes, he's back to Yukon, this should be better. But again, that's because the Barbara says so low they got you can't I'm not saying this. I'll Ali was a great coach and should have. I I don't really care. All was not a great, coach, whatever, but Yukon did themselves no favors to conference realignment. I don't need to spell it out. Like, you can't fans know this. But getting the contrary Lima bullshit kind of it was a bad time for Kevin they did one title as the American. But that was just, you know, those the biggies remnants at. I think I think yukons in a weird spot..

"Of the stuff i get a little petty but in your eyes there is one in particular that uconn has a leg to stand on and his potentially valid in might wind up helping yukon if not win its case certainly go a long way to not paying them a lot of money for your perspective which aspect of the rules violations alleged ones do you think that is right well first things first let me just state i think it's hilarious that the school that stood by jim calhoun is now trying to fire yes ali for calls like get outta my face and i know it's different people in different circumstances but like come on if kevin ollie was still winning or enough he would still have his job none of this stuff would be an issue none of it so i think that's important no like you might legally get over on him but like nobody thinks this is kevin ollie is not how about this if kevin ollie had gone to the final four last year but also been found to have committed major violations he would still be the head coach at uconn not even not even not even a discussion he didn't get fired because of he was running arro program or committee major violations he got fire because he took one of the most successful programs of the past few decades and turned it into absolute crap like as much time as you know i spent over the past year in my hometown talking about memphis basketball should never look this way like it was even more true with yukon like yukon is a level of of memphis historically and you come was a level below memphis in this is like incredible like that program should never get to where he got to know injuries played a part of whatever you should never be as bad that's why he's not the coach but there is language in the contract if i read it correctly that says he can't be fired for calls and it doesn't say major violations like i just says for rule you'll breaking rules unless i read it incorrectly it doesn't stipulate that it's got to be some major violation is just like you know if you're found to have broken rules we can terminate contract and so i think you might have a legal way to get this done but there is one that would be a major rules violation and it comes from i think of former assistant there's a whole bunch allegations but the allegations specifically is this that kevin ollie had a buddy who was a trainer and he would workout uconn players for free both in stores but then also in atlanta and that you come players went to atlanta to work out with him and they stayed for free and the eight for free and that's all like i mean that's regardless of how you feel about the instability rulebook that is not allow not even close in the incident rule book and if they can find that what's wild is by trying to not pay kevin ollie they are actually like investigating themselves for the aa like there there could end up like getting put on probation again or a postseason ban based on they're trying to save millions of dollars here but if that can be substantiated in some way i mean that's a major violation in it'll never be the reason he was fired but it might be the reason he didn't get his money yeah you cons approach from this parish yeah absolutely and i'll get to the the workout thing just a second but from you perspective minder standing this they're going to go this route because if they uncover this kind of stuff the instable is then going to afford the university leniency because you say we uncovered this midseason notified you you've been the answer is quasi i've been working hand in hand with yukon on this got rid of ali got rid of the entire staff and hopefully absolve itself parachute any significant instability sanctions to come forward that's what their approach if doesn't go that way it would be one of the more hilarious backfires ever we wait and see on that and ask for the workouts you can just say oh it's just workouts whatever there is a big time difference between having a guy sneaking some workout on campus here and there which relatively minor my opinion care about that but if you've got players hopping on planes going hundreds of miles to work out there's just not a big difference between from the.

"To the ball will bounce your way of intially and it already has once he's got the two thousand twelve title and you're exactly right you know he's not dealing with the stuff shawn miller is dealing with tony bennett i guess to a lesser degree like yo you know like win are you going to i guess they're still dealing with the get to the final four thing right but he is probably the only coach where simply having one is deemed by some to be unacceptable although i want bill sell starting to run into this a little bit of kansas maybe i only think that's within seats weird perish i think maybe but that's only within the fan base and nationally and outside of kansas he's accepted as a good coach and listen winning all those big twelve championships maybe there should be something where it's worth kentucky it's more outside in more national people and people outside the families are now don't get me wrong like obviously kentucky fans think that without they have they should have had more than one but i don't feel like the fan bases pinning kalugin the wall and starting to get sick of this that he doesn't have more than one it just doesn't feel like there's even any smells of a mutiny brewing inside of that fan base overall worse kansas is probably just as thrilled to have self there they're a little more like what the hell man like how are we not getting closer and part of that is by the way you'd self has been there longer than cal and still has fewer funnel four trips at kansas than cal has kentucky right i think like if you're going to say john carey should have won more championships and his nine years at kentucky then you have to ask the question who is actually done more and i believe it's only two guys mike has to in that span he won in two thousand ten and then won again in two thousand fifteen in jay wright obviously is one two in that span but i think that's it so when bentiu twice as many final fours as anybody else in the past nine years and only two people have won more championships than you like that's pretty damn good i guess i would i would i bought them on it this way i don't think even kentucky fans who i think some can acknowledge are sometimes irrational i think even kentucky fans are smart i shouldn't say that but like i think even kentucky realized they couldn't have anybody better known it's unreasonable to think that anybody that anybody else in that job could do any better do that job any better than than than the way john's done it and if you set a championship or bust mentality apply it to any literally any coach or any program in college basketball you are setting yourself up to be disappointed that's that's a that's a that's a failing proposition every single time in college football with nick saban alabama it's not but in in college basketball with any coach in any program that's just can't be where the pass fell line is if it is everybody's gonna fell you know way way way more often they pass how about this let's transition or final topic here because there is a coach who has a national championship who is still considered a failure a recent coach and his situation overall doesn't have many if any parallels parish and that's obviously kevin ollie at uconn former uconn coach and his legacy at that school gets more complicated by the month because he goes from obviously nba caliber player at the university to playing being journeyman in the nba and someone who coming into the college coaching scene parish had a really good reputation as sort of a su say her on the player level in the pros he famously was a mentor to kevin durant he goes to the yukon pension becomes calhoun 's next guy like that's the guy cow who wanted to take over the program he does that win title sure with a lot of the guys at calvin recruited i don't care windsor title nonetheless and then it goes south on there he gets canned now he's in the middle of this lawsuit and now we find out more and more that the things you con is pinning on him and the reasons why doesn't wanna pay him a buyout and they neighborhood of ten million dollars the accusations vary but to you perish there's one in particular like you made a good point right before we started this podcast like some.

"He committed shit on violations and his contract should be void in so now they're not gonna pay it's like ten million dollar bile yet he has so he signed that five year seventeen i think it's like a eighteen million dollar contracts i'm like that so we get ten million dollars still owed they're saying that he had improper trading sessions in improper contact but the best part about it is the person that was doing the improper contact was yukon booster not former you know all american not hall of famer former you know star of the miami heat back in the day star of the celtics that wanna know eight ray allen is now a booster for yukon and he is the one that was making these phone calls so he is now a friend the program he of yukon obviously in ray allen is in trouble yeah have you cons pro out of this program but friend of yukons program and he no he he's getting he he's all caught up in this and he's considered a booster by the instability they're still trying to do the findings on this the funny thing to meet tight is so that that's making them argue that they fired him with call so they don't have to pay him out so they can save ten million dollars but someone someone else still works at uconn and he also was a basketball coach and he also got in trouble for major violations and he's still employed by the university and he wasn't fired with calls and those violations were actually more grievous in the violations that are thrown out a kevin ollie so yeah jim kelly like him so yeah he's allowed to do that so so i really don't they added a chance for this the hold up in court it sounds like ali's gonna win just because of that i think he's gonna pull the calhoun thing like hey he's still works here like come on now you you can't be trying to do this to me but you can't really wants to save that money for dan hurley so so we'll see it's the biggest crock shit because we you never hear you never heard a word about these violations until after ali fired so the like the yukon didn't self report this stuff and i mean that's not entirely true 'cause i know they did like right as they were about to fire him they started leaking some stuff but yeah this is it it it's it's a whole crocodile as i say this as someone who liked to make kevin allah jokes and all that kind of stuff but yeah he he'd give pay them money pay them this bush league yukon but but the good news is if they do not pay his money and he does not want in his arbitration that means he has to get another job a set so he's not going to sit yeah wouldn't it be awesome to if like yukon is try not to pay two million dollars and the keep like digging up all these violations and then it gets certain boy today's like holy shit too many violations like they give them like desk bad they don't want to do the investigation so they made themselves report there there's like we do now in a pay ten million let's keep putting this stuff out in the world was like oh thanks a lot just like writing it down and also say far you also said that you got an escalade for this guy at this time and his mom also got an escalated this time that's great yeah that'll be good i hope that that happens you got anything else john beeline says he plans to finish career michigan was on the verge of taking the pistons job i thought that was pretty interesting he had a great draft night michigan's had a great time at the draft past couple years so shots john be long jump eli what would have ron john d line has been on really is of it's great to be john beland right now congrats john just on where life is taking you and just just like every everyone like i saw the the big tweet that was getting everyone to blowing up was that or or the the point i guess it wasn't really a tweet os just like the observation that be line has now have has seven first rounders but no mcdonald's all americans he goes he goes to the national championship game again he's getting pistons interviews it's like what a great time to be jumpy line yeah.

"I find fascinating so i think we're in a good spot here take we found we found a good thing to write us through the offseason yes we'll we'll keep an update on this we have to figure this out because it it really is wild that he's seventy one years old speaking of speaking of duke are they your number one team going into next year or is it kansas or is it now kentucky because retreive is committed the kentucky or is it someone else are you doing the zagged hipster thing where you're like actually folks i like consensus because hotch maura and killing until you're coming back yeah i'm not doing that i will say kentucky i think he's got the number one spot now because you know coach cow has had to adapt once again you know the one and done has been you know bitten by you know arizona kansas do you know all the like carolina even now we got little so i think it's kentucky they give tram you gotta do it now because the you gotta do now because the one that rules going away very soon yes happening it will be within the range of twenty one to twenty forty five and it somewhere in that you know juncture we will get rid of the one done rule i think yeah kentucky is the definitive number one team in the country right now headed into the season which is great for cow i think that's why he was kind of quiet on draft night because he's actually trying to focus on next season for the team so i i'm all in on that i like pj washington coming back yeah i think the podcast back yes of covering the podcast yes because they're going to be good he's got to bring it back he missed it last year hope so i have one kentucky thing to kevin knox they asked him if he knew ashley judd wasn't he said he had no idea what do you think that does for kentucky fans that has hurt i know it hurt me that's that's the new age with these kids they don't want anything dude like yeah isn't ashley judd on the outlook we still haven't really gotten a definitive thing on that like do people still i don't know i thought like ashley judd is now she an enemy of the state is that what we're saying she's an indiana like i don't know i can't i can't believe that she's she's been too much she done too much they had they had the whole i mean i know she was at one point because of the whole chick fillet thing where she was like hey guys don't do the other team and then kentucky fans are like it's a fucker you talking about it being like a candy offer why you fought a favor that whole chickfila thing that's that's the best i would be i would be super shitty to like my the most famous fan of like especially a place like kentucky like if you're a montana state and you had a famous fan and they did that you know i don't know maybe live with it because you're like hey we're just excited that we have a famous fan but like a place like in kentucky does not need famous fans they do not need celebrity fans they the brand itself is famous so you've got like ashley judd kind of hijacking the brand at times to to be like the face of kentucky basketball and then she's like hey don't do if if that was my really shitty about it too but i i don't know what the fallout was from that i never i never got an an are they she back in good graces with the kentucky fans i don't know i didn't get invited to do kentucky radio this year so maybe maybe she had to play in that i wish we could have found an answer this yeah maybe she did have a plane that one more thing before we go kevin ollie situation have you been following this yes absolutely that that you can't as trying to not pay kevin ali's buyout because they are are basically finding every little violation some of them are bigger than others but they're basically saying that.

"The hour of nine o'clock i want to get back to this kevin ollie story espn has obtained an april third dated letter from ali's lawyers that were sent to school president susan herbst quote from our review of the facts and circumstances relating to coach ali's employment status it is apparent that the university of connecticut has already violated coach ali's rights under the fourteenth amendment to the united states constitution by subverting coach elise opportunity to respond to charges and evidence in a meaningful way in advance of the decision to term innate his employment on the table is ten million dollars that ali feels he is owed under the contract he signed with the program ali was is in the second ear of a five year seventeen point nine million dollar contract so this is far from over right now and we'll see how it all how it all works works out but they'll be they'll be more espn is into this into this now and we'll have more information on it i will tell you this that i know kevin berry berry well and he is a very honorable person and a very very honorable one you have to wonder how this all works out but a contract is a contract and i think anybody would agree with it i mean you sign a contract and there it is so it's not over it's not over yet but again i'll keep you informed as it as it moves as it moves along eight fifty four six minutes before the hour of ten o'clock in or of nine o'clock i'm sorry nine o'clock in the morning i had a couple of calls on this hartford story about unsafe drivers and again this is surprising to many but not to some and if you didn't if you didn't here all of it i'm not going to go through all of it but it it is a shocker for some here in connecticut and connecticut the will be last on the list when it comes to rating the best drivers in the country and some of you i'll tell you some of the driving is.
