Additional Charges in College-Admissions Cheating Scandal
"Errands in college admissions cheating scandal are now facing additional charges it off workplace series continues with a look at who speaks in meetings women who are not remembered for what they say are often the ones who have trouble getting promoted boss I of the thought trees this is what's news from the Wall Street Journal I'm Kim Get I'll send let's get started now are we take a closer look at the new charges facing some of the parents and the college admissions cheating scheme and why they were introduced. Here's what you missed diplomat Bill Taylor the acting. US Ambassador to Ukraine said in closed door testimony on Capitol Hill yesterday that President Trump made nearly four hundred million dollars in aid contingent on the Ukraine in President Investigating Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden White House Press Secretary Stephanie Gresham said in a statement quote president trump has done nothing wrong there was no quid pro quo and we mentioned yesterday in our afternoon edition that Boris Johnson's Brexit plan passed a key hurdle the bill was approved by British lawmakers but that victory for Mister Johnson well it was short lived just minutes later lawmakers rejected his timetable for debating and formerly approving the bill that means that his goal of leaving the European Union by October thirty first is looking unlikely from London Jason Douglas has more on what happens next the first thing that we're waiting for is what the European Union says about an extension so Boris Johnson issue member had to request one another Europeans are going to decide exactly how long extension is on whatever they come back with kind of color what actually happens next so it expect them to simply do the UK requested which is graphic extension January thirty first probably with some wriggle-room that if you pass the deal sooner you can leave sooner and then bars Johnson says a choice either he goes for an election and I and I would winning a majority so that so that he can then pass the deal or tries to pass the deal I go into an election having said I did brexit Autumn will of course keep you updated on all the brexit twists and turns and two departures for you the first is Nike's long-term Chief Executive Mark Parker sure he'll step down in two thousand twenty after nearly fourteen years in the top job he'll be replaced by John Donahue who is a former Ebay chief executive we report that Mr Parker's departure marks a strategic shift for Nike it seemed strong sales but also been beset by a string of PR crises and Boeing's Commercial clean chief Kevin mcallister is also leaving it's the first high-level ouster from Boeing since the 737 Max crisis began Boeing reports its third quarter thanks today and analysts are expecting that will take more charges as a result of the crisis now our main story this morning it has to do with a new development and the college admissions cheating scandal a little over half thirty-five parents facing charges have played guilty but a new twist came late yesterday when prosecutors introduced new charges against eleven holdouts Charlie Turner has been finding out more from Melissa corn at the hearing and Boston Melissa Eleven parents who were allegedly involved in the nationwide college admission cheating scandal are facing additional charges what do prosecutors accused them of now so prosecutors have now added a charge for most of them regarding what's called Federal Graham Bribery essentially bribing an organization or a state or something like that that accepts at least ten thousand dollars in federal funds oh it's almost A quasi arm of the federal government so they can charge them at the federal level and this is as we say in addition to the original charges which I believe include honest services on services fraud conspiracy and money laundering conspiracy so they most of them now have three charges against them know who are some of the defendants some of them obvious Really high-profile right so more than half of the parents have now pleaded guilty but there are still sixteen out there that have pleaded not guilty and they include actress Laurie Lachlan fashion designer Massimo g a newly former T G growth head bill mcglashan and so definitely still some big bold faced names here from your Article Melissa I'm kind of wondering this have prosecutors sort of struggled at times to make a case with as you write that you know they struggled Oh identified damages and victims in the case I guess with regard to William Rick Singer talk about that right so the prosecutor say there's definitely a crime here it's just kind of hard to explain why so the idea that this is based on an honest services fraud that there's you know the the these people are depriving the companies the employers of their honest of on a services of their employees of the coaches and things like that by having these bribe arrangements tough sell it's a complicated charge and the Probation Office when compiling pre sentencing reports for some of the people who pleaded guilty didn't declared that there wasn't a clear financial loss for the victims and the prosecutors say the victims are the colleges and the testing agencies so one of the reasons that they might have added this chart which is it offers kind of an alternative way of looking at the alleged crimes in a way that the public potential jurors potential judges this can better understand and wrap their heads around. I get the impression that cheating or lying on a college application is not a crime in itself no but there are elements of it that can be crimes if you're taking financial aid if you're getting benefits of some sort from the school of any value then it's fraud going forward what kind of hurdles do the defendant face in this case it's a tough battle for some of the defendants some of the defendants attorneys are saying these were just donations made to the university he's through an intermediary these were not bribes and that's the Line of defense that they're taking there are a few different defense theories that are now moving forward that's probably the most common and yes schools do accept donations and in some cases give preferential treatment to the families of those who donated but it doesn't quite explain the alley prosecutors allegations regarding these fake athletic profiles and essays that had false references to these ethnic feats so that's a bit of a tough nut to swallow against these defendants against these defendants yes there are again a number of different defense approach says here but for these defendants it's it's certainly not an easy when there's a reason why a lot of parents did plead already lawyers for many of the
2019 International Air Show Opens In France
"The Paris air show is underway outside of the French capital. It's the world's biggest aviation and 'aeronautics fair. It's held every two years normally it's a week of dealmaking and bragging, but this year, the atmosphere is low key after the deadly crashes of two Boeing planes, plus their attentions over security, and trade. NPR's Eleanor Beardsley has the story. Please. Some three hundred fifty thousand people are expected to visit the planes and high tech equipment on display this week and they began pouring in on Monday morning. That's when US planemaker Boeing launched its first press conference and got straight to the point. I'd like to start today with clearly what's front and center on all of our minds. The seven three seven max. I we are very sorry for the loss of lives as a result of the tragic accidents of both Ethiopian, three oh two and lion. Air six ten that's Kevin McAllister CEO of Boeing Commercial planes. He said safety is Boeing's top priority, and everything it does he said, the company is doing everything it can to get the max safely flying again, but would not give a date mcalister said, this is a pivotal moment for Boeing to time to capture learning time to be introspective. And it's time for us to make sure accidents like this never happen again. This year, the usual high stakes competition between planemakers Boeing and Airbus is subdued says 'aeronautics editors, gene, boost gay Zor Moody's quite s- trench visa falls, apart recessional, two thousand nineteen because of the seven free seven Knox crises loose. So it's a big change in the craft industry, Belling had been set to announce the development of a plane for the same market, but was derailed by the max crisis analysts say the Asian market is in a downturn with far fewer orders expected this year. There is talk in the US of slapping tariffs on the 'aeronautics industry to protect American jobs, clay McConnell, head of communications for Airbus. America's says tariffs would do just the opposite in what is now a global industry. There's no such thing as a European aircraft or an American aircraft. "I'm always clock. Now, whenever I'm walking outdoors. I'm clocking where potential murderers can be coming from. You're right. I feel just because their doors, like Dr shrouded in darkness. They don't have the light overhead, and I had not seen a single human or sign of human. So I think for somebody that I was like, I don't know. I just was like, well, no one's coming in that way. Like I don't even know what I was thinking. And then he was like. And he was like I live here. And then I was like, oh, and he liked point to the other door and I was like, oh my God. I'm so sorry. And I feel so embarrassing originally, because the thing is, I didn't want to say I wanted to explain like, okay, I'm home alone right now watching murders. And so I'm on edge everyone's a suspect. But this is still a strange man. I don't know. So I don't want him to know him home alone. You know what I mean? And so I can't even when I say, like watch murders, he's like, I don't know what the fuck that Kevin McAllister. I'm watching murders. He's like what the fuck. And it was like your short head of saying, I'm Homa exactly. I'm Kevin McAllister and our whole like, and he was like, oh, my God. So sorry. And I was like, oh, well, we just moved in, like I haven't seen anybody and I'm gonna try and explain and I felt so guilty. And he was like, he was like a beige man. Like he's, he's got some Brown in him. But I don't know what and I wasn't really thinking, and it won't be easy. He goes, if you were white, I will be pissed and I was like to Shay very real. And I had to try to explain that. I was like it's not listening. I'm not even I'm not even clocking your Brown as much as your mail your maleness and stranger nece. And I'm mid murder show. You know what I mean? I've literally just been three hours watching tales of women and of all strikes, right? Just like all stars and stripes, destroy women in their homes and I am on edge. And there was also that one scenario that's literally the one scenario in which I do feel like again, I've left my unlocked, I do not have a phone on me. I'm like, in the back and have, oh, this is actually. Vulnerable issue because it was at night to recycling at, like ten AM or whatever who cares. What is probably like nine pm, ten pm. And I'm like, oh, totally be a cool spot to murder me, by the way, that neighbors always taken that recycling twenty four seven I swear to God, every time I walk out there to take recycling out that their doors open doors open. Wow. So he just he loves to just say, well, it's your site, and he loves the earth Email me. He's like, we gotta get that green new deal going. But it was, I was so embarrassed. And then how do how do like the barbecue becky's of this world do it because I literally for have a second question, whether or not, he was entering my home and immediately felt guilty..

Venmo Etiquette: How to Digitally Pay Your Friends For 'Stuff'
"When it comes to repaying friends mobile apps have made things incredibly easy, not the least of which the opportunities for missteps, maybe you're being rude. And don't even know it a self-described millennial offers his take he joins us in the podcast studio. Wall Street Journal reporter, Kevin McAllister. Welcome. Thank you. So the millennial thing is funny. It's it's this stamp placed on conversations all the time. But in this case, it's super relevant. I'm one too. I'm I'm more toward the tail end of the bracket on the old kind. But it's definitely confusing for me, and this culture shift to digital seems. You know, it seems like maybe if anyone can walk us through it. It's this generation. Yeah. I think it's a shift in culture, and for someone like me, it's an especially even people that might be younger than me. I it hasn't necessarily been a transformation as much as it has been. A, you know, an entirely new way of dealing with money and dealing with technology being that you grew up with it rather than transitioned into using it, right? You know, because it's such a layered nuanced situation that we all find ourselves in now. Right because there's etiquette that you have to learn the tech is rather new, and we're still feeling it out. What are you coming across in your reporting? Well, thought one of the most interesting ones is the charge function -ality that apps like van us, which is really at the at the core, an invoice something that was before limited to functionality to the company might have or something that you employ service on might be able to to charge you for something. But now, it's one friend to another saying, hey, give me this much money. And here's a push notification about it instead of just a casual conversation, a reminder, something like that. So it makes money even more clinical than it necessarily needs to be between friends if you are sending someone's. Digital notification basically tapping them on the shoulder over and over again via their phone which feels different than just saying. Hey, you owe me five bucks you on me. Ten bucks? Right. And then there's the instantaneous nature of it. All does that kind of take things to another level. The fact that everything is just so instantaneous now. Yeah. Well, one of the things that I pointed out in in the column, I recently wrote was that before if you owed somebody say five dollars ten dollars. They would have to go to the m get twenty bucks out break twenty. And then give you a Bill back here. I it's, you know, it's such an instantaneous process of being able to be a couple clicks away that I think not everyone is on the same wavelength as far as how much time can pass between your initial request and the fulfilment there in the skew time situation is very interesting. Yeah. And I think that that different generations view it differently. But I don't think it's a gap. Limited generational. I just think it's it's. Exposure to technology and hundred percents ordering previous thoughts about different technology over to this new device and us not really having this common. Standard of how to deal with a brand new app or a brand new paying someone or brand new of communicate. It's so true. And it's still in motion at this point too. So even if we do figure it out it's a matter of just keeping up with the new tech keeps coming out faster and quicker and making it even more confusing. Yeah. Absolutely. I I'm sure people again, if they read my column, and I I know this fact based on my inbox the past week, people definitely think that that my approach to it is wrong. And and I'm sure to a lot of people. It is interesting. So what kind of pushback are you getting well, I think that there's a, you know, again, sort of a generational divide. If you will between, you know, seeing how certain people deal with money that a lot of these problems could be solved with cash was one of the number one responses that I got, but the idea is you know, that I. I don't always have cash on me. And and this makes it simpler, and maybe to an extent safer. But I mean that I think is still interpretation. But you know, I think I think the pushback is that if you're owed money, you should use the tool to get your money back to make sure that you're not actually getting ripped off by your friends. And you know, I think that that squabbling about money to is is something that I got feedback about that. You know, you shouldn't be doing it at all they shouldn't be your friends, but at the same time if you're out if you're out with people acquaintances friends strangers, even you know money is such a social thing and spending money as such social thing. But talking about it is seemingly off limits at least among some of the circles that I'm with that's interesting. So in order to stay let's say above board in this new digital world. Can you leave us with some, you know, less? I mean, some tips that can maybe just get us to a place. That's a little less awkward. I can certainly try. Again, I try not to use the charge functionality. Because I think it adds, you know, that that level of formality to the kind of transaction that you're really trying to have. And if you can deal with things outside of the world of the app, and then poured it into the actual digital experience. You get the benefits of of the non digital experience and the ease of functionality that an app provides.

"All right. He gets his own a goodbye music. He's a fan favourite. Kevin mcallister. Okay. All right. We're down to four. It's Kris noble, Christian ubiquity, John MacLean Natalie Cole. So I mean, all hands. Yeah. I mean, I can't remember I can't remember if we're putting the the advantage challenge in this one because that was in Karen Moen in lieu of Eric getting medevac so could be to opportunities for John MacLean to win safety. But you got to imagine he needs to win here or he is as good as gone, okay? Here we go. We have our alliances. It's the survivors versus John MacLean. Okay. Let's go and the Kris noble in Christian have a tighter alliance with Natalie that could be interesting if we see John MacLean with immunity may be Natalie who goes out at the survivors have to vote one of themselves out. Okay. At the reward is a advantage in the final challenge for Chris noble. Kris noble is really like the Cochran of this sees where like he won on a challenge onto things. I'm all for Chris Ryan. All right. Chris Melville has lived up to the challenge beast billing that people were once afraid of let's go to Armenia challenge. Kris noble with an advantage and it served him. Well, Kris noble with immunity in the vertical. Maze. And so got to think that this is curtains for John MacLean? Yeah. I mean, I guess he could try to go renegade. He's used to hostage negotiations. Try to get someone like Natalie to flip saying like these two can't go to the end you lose to both of them. Even though they get confused as to which name to write down on the paper. But you'd have a very uphill battle for him. Which again, he could've prevented if he didn't play if he played his stupid second idol. I'm Kevin McAllister. All right. Let's go to our fried events. Nothing going on. Let's go to tribal gotta think the three to one right? I think that's that's my bet at this point the top of Natalie's head. That's the first. John McClain, John MacLean on the plane. Dr jump jumps really screwed this one. He really for someone who had been playing pretty masterfully, and you know, finding the right time to plays idols held onto the too much. Maybe he just felt a personal connection with them. And didn't wanna let them go that he had to pocket one to take home to his wife and kids, and now he will not have a million dollars to go with it. John MacLean screwed himself. Kevin McAllister end this endgame, essentially, all in one vote. John mcclain's second idol ghost island. I think so I think I think it needs to get sent there. I don't know what power. It will have depending on how many seasons pass. But I think if we're doing survivor merry Christmas versus happy new year to ghost of Christmas past island. I think it's got to be there. Okay. John maclean. He does become the final member of our jury. Let's go ahead and go to our final tribal counts. Our final three Kris noble. We have Christian ubiquity and Natalie Cole. Let's talk about how our final three all got here. My all right. So let's start with Kris noble. Chris I would say probably had the most externally facing game from the very beginning. He served as the figurehead of that alliance of five he's been a vote sponge, he might even have beaten frosty in terms of the number of both the accumulated. We'll get the very end. He also racked up a few immunities, and he was the one to to take down these these bigger players when he found out that Kellen was getting rid of him. He gathered people together and flipped on them. So I would say that if you're looking for someone who has brandished the biggest game it was probably him. Kris noble. I think has to be the favourite going into this based on the number of. Competition wins. He won played an idol correctly..

"So Christian ubiquity and John McLaughlin enjoyed the family visit together all right immunity challenge. Let's see how how. This is all going to shake out. All right. John MacLean now with immunity, and to immunity idols, you gotta believe something's happening here. The only real Christian after that loved ones. Visit. I think he might be too because I think Christians and a lot of hot water. He is not earned some goodwill Christian. He's made it to the final six. He's at his best placement yet as a survivor as are, all the survivors. Okay. Yeah. That's very true. Okay. Let's go back to camp and see what is going on. All right. Chris has the idol John MacLean to idols Natalie and Kevin McAllister have a big fight. I think that Kevin had set up some traps, I know to get people that we're finding idle and Natalie sort of walked into it and just laid into Kevin what what'd you laid out these stupid things on the ground. I could I almost broke my ankle. Yes. She's like Kevin. How many times do I have to tell you? Put the paint can higher up in the tree. No, no, not that branch. Kevin, listen, listen, I'm telling you how to do this. Kevin. You're not heating up the doorknob fast enough. Honey, you gotta get that kindling going with the buyer underneath. All right. Big fight Natalie Cole and Kevin McAllister. Let's go to tribal. All right. Mike and idol has to come up tonight. Right. You would think so there has to be I feel like Chris nobles going to play his idle because he was nearly gone last time you'd have to think that he he wanted. He would want to avoid that tie. I could imagine some bad stuff's happening with Christian. I can imagine some bad stuff. It's coming Kevin's way. Those are the names I have in my mind right now. All right. Let's take a look at how this is all gonna play. All right. So we vote. John McLean is not playing any idols. He does not play any idols. He will take to idols with him to the final five very Tylenol night that he can play idol. All right, then Kris noble will play the happy holidays merged tribe. I will see if idle hidden here at the final. Okay. All right. Kris noble. You cannot over personnel. Verse vote. Kris noble does not count. I noble does not count. Kris noble does count rage. Good. Call. Chris good. Call Bradley, Bradley, the tried. Let's see what happened. It was three three vote here. Who was working so still it could have been another time would have been another time. Christian voted for Radley. John MacLean voted for Chris noble heaven McAllister voted for Kris noble. So it was Natalie voting for a Bradley, so I guess the V alliances here. It was a Kevin McAllister in Montreal. And. And and Bradley Bradley told you Bradley was going to work with the two iconic holiday movie characters and try to flip it on the survivors. Go to Goto rocks with them he was all in. But Kris noble, sniffed it out and him. He was he was able to play. I would assume that he'd actually probably drew the votes on hand who was probably even more braggadocious and cocky that he might have come across per usual. And so they drew the votes onto him, and he was able to play them correctly and Natalie it's been such a long. Coaster of a path between the two of them starting off with just being such the tightest of allies. And now she votes against him and send them to the jury. Yes. Smart move, also by Natalie and by a Kris noble and Christian to vote out Bradley who had flipped to the other side. And so now we set up a very intriguing final five here between Kris noble Christian who Becky Natalie Cole from the twentieth. Eighteen tribe, and John McClain and Kevin McAllister from the merry Christmas tribe..

"Noble, Christian Natalie Cole. Kevin McAllister, John MacLean, John MacLean with two idols. Kris noble with one the alliances right now. Kris noble in Christian, even though Christian voted against Chris noble. I don't know how much else outside. He I mean, he could have said that it was Callans idea the entire time. And Chris honestly would probably believe him. It was it was Kelly. If you think about it killing was the one who is saying everything, she's I'm the mouth, but she's the brain. Chris broach Acho, okay? Then we have the survivors the four survivors of don't forget about Bradley, and John MacLean also Bradley with Kevin McAllister, Bradley is an interesting spot here. Where potentially Bradley could vote with the two holiday movie characters enforce a three three tie here. Yeah. But we know what happens in ties somebody flips. Yeah. Prevent the inevitable. He'll be good. We got. Okay. All right. Then let's go ahead and go listen ward challenge. Final six this is the family reward so Christian. He wins reward. He wins a trip on a loved on the the see his loved one. Emily comes out wearing a full tiger costume just sort of. So basically. Yeah, Christian is able to win see, Emily. They're able to watch a movie together on the barge. And is this. I guess I don't think I don't think this talk. So it doesn't mention if he brings anyone with him. Because this was remember. How can I forget this brought dawn and then God Christian is going to share the loved ones reward with John MacLean? Holly McLean is on that barge waiting to reconcile the John MacLean science, some divorce papers. Okay. Now Christian can give up the reward. He has picked John MacLean to go on the reward with. But now he has the option Christian if you enjoy McLean. Go back to the beach that then Bradley Kris noble, Kevin McAllister whose wanted to see his family this whole time. Waiting for this family visits or so long? Natalie cole. They can get their loved ones. Visit and they can see to loved ones, and they'll get to go to a barge for this. Okay. What do you think Christian is going to do? I think Christian news is decision was coming. I think he purposely chose John because he wanted to leave three survivors who have never been on the family visit to actually experience it you've got to think that the goodness and Christians heart would make him swap places and give these four their award. Okay. Let's see he keeps the reward. Why Chris King John what? What? John MacLean to idols live there. Might be some wisdom here. But Bradford she Cristeta zero allies, Bradley, I remember he voted against a Kris noble at the previews vote, so ally this is insane. This is right up there with Cindy, saying, you know, what they don't need cars Christmas saying these four, you know, what I have the opportunity, but you're not going to see your family members to see Emily, again if anybody can deal with disappointment. It's Bradley Natalie Cole McAllister and Kris noble. Void they'll make a day of it. Yes. Okay. So I'm sorry. Kevin mcallister. You will not see your family again. It's okay. And then they they lost their plane tickets. They were supposed to they actually they got on the wrong flight, and they did not. Okay. And then the John candy was trying to drive them to the Filipi. It wasn't really working out. Yes. Okay. All right..

"Blindside of Davy. How did this happen? You don't think that Bradley flipped to the work with the iconic holiday characters? Do I'll I think I mean, I guess the question is who cast the vote. He did Bradley voted for Davey, buddy. The L voted for Davey. We also and interestingly Dominic voted for Davey. Davey voted for Rudolph. John MacLean voted for Davey ralphie voted for Davey. Rudolph the red nosed reindeer voted for Dominic. So. Wow. Also, what a what a crazy vote. This was. Wow. And I guess Rudolph. It seems like maybe unlike Clark Griswold, actually, did they both seem to be on the outs. He's not so amenable for working with your ralphie's and your John. So he decides to sort of throw his vote to Dominic also maybe in the case of Davy playing an idol, which he's wanting to do, you know, Dominic could then get it. We could get a one one tied going onto protecting characters. But yet Davey got. What caught like an eel or something? Yeah. So this was a cross tribal alliance here that came together where ralphie John MacLean Dominic a buddy the elf and Bradley all voted for Davey. Wow. So I guess the question is how much weight does that bear moving into the merge and could they bring Natalie in and now rest control from this group of, you know, your Chris Christian Kellen, and I guess that Kellyanne and I'm trying to remember who else is in it. But I think that that group might be in trouble. If we have this sort of super alliance coming together to to control over the game. All right. Let's go ahead and get to our merge here as we take one last look at our swapped tribes where the merry Christmas tribe. It's going to be Kris noble Christian ubique, Clark Griswold. Kellyn Beck told Kevin McAllister and Natalie Cole heading into. Some NAT Cole of Christmas songs, right? There's a Christmas. So and I think that if Kris noble is indeed the king of his alliance. And I think that's a nice alliance. Waiting to happen. The net. King cole. Yeah. What did it chestnuts roasting on an open fire? Jack frost nipping at your nose that call? Yes, unfortunately, you can't wait for Jack frost to be the family medicine. We comes out and passionately embraces. His visit nipping at the nose. Okay. Bradley buddy, the elf Dominic about John MacLean ralphie and Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, real rain. A little bit of a dark reindeer to take this right? I would say. Yeah. Exactly a bit more of an iridescent knows. But I think that he's been able to claw his way back from the bottom. This is gonna be real interesting sort of sort of shake down here because we have you know, we have six Christmas versus six survivors going into the merge, but we saw some cross McLean going on. There's a lot of alliances that don't necessarily like. Mike and Mike. Tis the season surprisingly, so I thought this is going to be a complete below out in the beginning. But the Christmas characters have worked their way back from the edge of extinction. Yeah. Not a pa- gung. And we're going on right now. So this is really one of the most fluid seasons that we've had. Yes, ironically enough when things are supposed to be frozen. I it's it's it's really exciting. I don't know where this is going to pay especially because again, John MacLean has to I. All right. Let's get to our merge tribe. Over happy holidays tribe is the merge. This is our final twelve. So we will have a nine person jury here. I no know I believe someone's going to get the Korean spa of the Kohl's leadership position of merged nuclear the Nautilus of somebody to make the merge, but will not be on the jury. Okay. Very are eight person jury and our final three coming up, of course. So so many.

"Come on, Mike, Mike. It's the holidays. That's true ties beautiful inside and out. Yes. Okay. All right. Let's go to our next person big week for this young, man. Yes. Kevin McAllister played by MacAulay Culkin in home alone. None our only child in the cast. But he shows a lot of ingenuity shows a lot of independence. The question is can you work together with others or standing opposition to him like a bunch of what bandits? Yes, we'll see. What traps he might lay out for anybody? Who's coming for him as we get closer to the end of the game and people that are trying to take his million dollars. Yeah. It's interesting because I guess we have the Ben bombs are beginning to get like, I don't know the Natalie napalm is there like Kevin TNT going on. We'll see. We'll see. All right. Who else we got Mike? So this this is not going to be a winter sausage fest on the merry Christmas tribe. We do have MRs Claus representing here. Again, coming down from the North Pole. I would say pro a little bit. You know, there's not a lot of lower surrounding her necessarily not a lot of MRs Claus based project. So I think she's ready to sort of like, Monica Culpepper style step out from her husband's shadow and really make an IMF herself out there. Okay. We'll see a lot riding on MRs Claus to find an idol to even some of these averages my well, listen, if she finds the ranger to get her up a fifty foot Rockwall, I think she's got a good chance. Stanford doesn't need a ladder to get up on the chimney. So hopefully, she has some of that magic as well. All right who else is here in the Americas mistrial, Mike from the immortal Christmas story ralphie Parker. He wants a million dollars to buy a million redaction Ryder beat dollar. Yeah. I mean, I listen, I it's probably inflation like me a cost dollar back in the sixties. When this was this was supposed to take place. But yeah, we have another kid on here. He's someone who's a little less brainy. But I think a little more. Imaginative? We saw all the random dream sequences, and he went into and he has a lot of gumption as well. He someone who was going to consistently ask for things. So we'll see if that leads to a good game. Okay. Mic. Who else is here? Say I would say John MacLean was the most controversial pick. But here we get to somebody who's been looking up his social media history as of late, and he's really gotten into some hot water TMZ published a whole thing about this guy before coming out here to the Philippines. Rudolph the red nose rain Arale. Yeah. So I think he's here to sort of prove that, you know, any any connotations about hand that might be accused of being problematic. He's not associated with them. I think he's ready to use that Renos to guide his way into the final three. Did Rudolph have some controversial postings on social media? My either postings about so crew that were controversial. I think if they Google the Rudolph there were some things that were coming up that I think people would maybe not necessarily give it good connotation to him. Okay. No contraband hidden underneath the fake nose. Right. No. He's is would be read. Not is. No, right. All right. Who else is here to two more big players on the merry Christmas drive. We couldn't have a merry Christmas tribe without Papa Noel himself Santa Claus. Yes. Now, it's going to be interesting. Is he going to be like the Richard hatch where like everyone seeking to get rid of him? I he's playing with his wife. How is that going to deal with things how big of a threat is Santa Claus is the target? So big that he won't actually get targeted. We'll have to find out. Okay. And then one last person here to throw a monkey wrench into the workings of the merry Christmas drive. Yes. Our hearts are growing. Three sizes knowing that this guy is making his way onto the merry Christmas. Right. But but a little too happy a little too. Cheerful. We need a flat out Christmas villain, and we get one in the Grinch. And this is the. Old school Grinch. We're not talking Benedict Cumberbatch, daddy, Grinch or whatever. The most recent version was we're talking old school Boris Karloff version. Okay. All right..

"How could I not Kevin McAllister gel, patchy Daniel starring movie and does that constitute a Christmas movie? I would say yes, I asked him that Christmas movie. I agree. This isn't diehard. Gentleman action movie, hold alone in both instances is based around Christmas. Absolutely. My thought is as an older guy. How great life must be for us. And now, we don't we take it for granted when we are spending our time debating each year, whether diehard is a Christmas movie or not it's beautiful as if it has any relevance to anything who cares. Whether it's a Christmas movie or not a lot of people do why because they have time on their hands. And they enjoy debating whether diehard is I'm saying man, if you have anything pressing on your shoulders on your head. If if your biggest concern today is I can't believe JJ believes diehard isn't a Christmas movie. Things are pretty good for you. You gotta you gotta like that. Did you see I got to bring this up on the because we're in the gambling world. Now you like to of course, you like to be involved UC Penn State Drexel. Let me tell you something. Fliegelman texted me about this. Texted me about is it the best best had Duquesne. I've sorry Penn State to the five and a half right Penn. State tie game five seconds to go. You got the coach getting teed up. You got six foul shots at the end of the game that basically covered a number if you had to Kane it might be time to walk away. That's like being at a blackjack table giving the equivalent when you're at a blackjack table and things aren't going your way, and you end up with I don't know a twenty or twenty one for whatever the reason, right? And the dealer ends up getting fourteen right to an a five right at your day. Or if you split hands everything goes, according to plan, this this to me is worse. I mean, this is sixty seven sixty seven the spread is five and a half. So it's sixty seven sixty seven five seconds left and the spread is five and a half. Not only are they awarded between the technicals and the actual foul. Six free throws. He makes all six which never happens in college basketball ever. And they went by half Ford and. Sixty.
