Microsoft campus near Seattle will be used to administer COVID-19 vaccine

"Governor Insley announced effective immediately. Any Washington resident age 65 or older can now get the vaccine for covert 19 almost Brian Calvert, with more details as to how the state is going to accomplish this. In his address yesterday, Inslee unveiled plans to open massive vaccination sites across the state, utilizing a syriza of privately owned facilities, including a Redmond campus. That's virtually a ghost town these days. We don't have employees and all of our buildings these days, so we're gonna be working with local hospitals. S so that they can administer their vaccines in a building on our campus. Microsoft's Brad Smith is on board. So is Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson. We're here to support the governor, Dr Shaw and all of their staffs who are working tirelessly to serve the people of the state of Washington, a vaccine and every coffee shop. Maybe not, But plans aren't final just yet by lowering the vaccination age to 65. More than 1.5 million Washingtonians are now eligible, meaning the state must now create capacity to avoid long lines like we saw last week at a vaccination site in swim.

"The past was just a little too far right, McCoy through it before Ward fell down. So McCoy was trying to make sure it was something that couldn't be intercepted on Lee Sheppard, you catch Now third down and five for the Giants. The Giants have been in the red Zone. Not that they're there yet, but they've been in the red zone a handful of times tight they only have one field goal to show for it. Since finishing post this for 17 to play fourth quarter McCoy out of the gun drops back to pass throws left toward the end zone for Tate and take Can't hang on. It was broken up at the last moment by Kevin Johnson never turned around to face the football. It'll be fourth down. Interesting decision here. The Giants are gonna kick a field goal. I think the math would tell you that's probably the right decision. You want to try to make it a two Score game again. But man, you still need to have two touchdowns and 22 point conversions. It's too bad they didn't have the field goals from earlier in. The guess might have made a little bit of a difference because it would have been one score game. Maybe they'll do the fake field goal with good snap. Good hold. No fake kick is on its way, and it's good. "With the Titans back to throw Tannehill deep down the right numbers and his broken up. As a J. Brown could hang on with Kevin Johnson had the coverage and knocked it out of his hands. There's a great hotel. I mean, Ryan Tannehill ball, doesn't he? Sure does. I mean was right in the hands of a J. Brown. He was just he said a tough day. Yeah. I mean, it was a Netball couldn't been thrown any better. By Ryan Tannehill. A couple of drops. We saw him go off injured at one point. He's got two fumbles in the game and Brown's back to throw Tannehill fires near side of Cory Davis and Davis had it knocked into his hands. By Kevin Johnson. Kevin Johnson having a heck of a day and Who would have thought you lose Denzel Ward today. And Kevin Johnson steps in and steps up. Give me cash, but it's only a five yard game John a three yard gain in the end, Johnson makes the stop. Mm hmm. Clock keeps ticking, too. With that. That's another week. Forest 35 year old 14 Tannehill takes the shotgun staff. Off school softly over the middle. It is caught. First down to Anthony for Csar Pride of Manalapan, New Jersey moves to change after the 20 via Harvard. Don't even ask me what his degree was in. I can't even I don't even understand what it is back to throw tan enough. Can't a soft boss over the middle to make nickels and he's taking down every four yard gain out to the 24. 4 37 to go on counting. 41 21 lead for the Browns in the fourth quarter winds down back throw 10 fires over the middle part again and he said, Take it to the ground. At the 48 yard line. Give me the 38 yard line again of 14. Titans have to hurry up one at a time down 24 18 to go downhill out of the shotgun. Receivers right. One of the left McNichols, the back shotgun stands also know again, the first slide down 44 yard line. Just six. Pot continues to move under four minutes to go. I need three scores. Can't get the big play down the field right now, that's what they desperately need. Had a hill back to throw again throws over the middle of its first service, and he keeps going out of the 45 of the Browns. The again try to get quickly to the line is the ball came loose folks, a retreat for the official data. 3 28 to go. Tannehill standing the Titan logo of midfield out of the shotgun. Hates the snack sets up costs of the little McNichols chips adamant tackle by day home, and they've taken down in the middle by team Davis after just four yard game. Short of the first down. Lock approaching three minutes to go. You have a pass rush away. Cleveland has with just four You can afford to just sit back and play his own hell. Fire to the right side and broke it up. Hey, Davis Again T Davis again knocked it away from Jeff swinging that time the tight end. Compliment this secondary of the grounds. No Denzel Ward know Ronnie Harrison today. Uh, and the guys that have stepped up and J. Stewart Kevin Johnson. They've taken advance of playing time. There's one handed off me, Nichols. Tripped up shy of the first down. Short of the 35 to 44 counting. It would be a third down and a little less the yard here. Unusual that Derrick Henry would be in the game. To me in that situation could be fourth down here. He's still not on the field. Out of the gun, Tannehill working inches. Gonna throw it. Pressure from behind, scrambling right flag comes down. The pass to the near side is made by Corey Davis out of bounds of first down, but it's gonna be Penalty here. Adrian Claiborne of the Browns forced the hold by Tennessee and that first time will come back. No, he just hands to the face. Offense number 72. 10 Yard penalty way play fourth down. A big question, Barry. Mm. For the whole with 2 20 to go and the Browns up 41 21. They're showing some highlights on the screen of a game from back in the nineties, the last time Brown's went to 93. It was a win actually, earlier than that, because that they beat the Houston Oilers Old Municipal Stadium. Yeah. Played kill even municipal stadium. That was a that was a huge, huge statement. 5000 people Tannehill back to throw fires out the numbers on the right of his clock by Corey Davis inside Brown territory down 27 yard line. To await to go. She's been getting playoff before the two minute warning trying. I don't know that they can get to snapped in time. Yeah, they do. Just in time. Canada soft costume McNichols over the middle. Just a Menial game down. 25 2 yard pick up stops the clock.

Marriott swings to loss as coronavirus devastates bookings

"But we're going to start with Marriott because Marriott's second quarter featured the first loss for the company in almost nine years and yet. Shares in Marietta up about two percent. This morning is this optimism or is this The stock's already been beaten down enough, and we don't need a lot of optimism to bid up just a bit. I think it's the latter. I think it has been plenty beaten down. Let's call it forty percent for the year or something like that and. The maybe the worst is is behind it a hotel occupancy was off ninety percent in April and only seventy percent in July. So that is in one sense, a big improvement and in another sense shows just how far things still have to go particularly in this country it's got international operations largest Of Hotels and hotel rooms in the world and China is is a bright spot but the US is not and can continue to be lagging Is the expectation although the company put try to put good spin on what it could. To what extent if any did the company on the Conference Hall Talk? About Sort of what they learned in China and the way that they can. To. What's happening here in the US on starbucks most recent? Quarterly. report that was something that Kevin Johnson this CEO had talked a little bit about I'm wondering if the same applies to Marriott or Are these businesses different enough. that it doesn't really apply. Why was in and out of the call so I I can't be sure that that was covered there definitely was coverage that China I think the terminology was that Cova was not yet a thing of the past, but you know it was almost in the category of back to normal and in certain segments of the China travel normal or even better than pre cove it. So it's an entirely different story and I'm not sure that Marriott addressed what it could do what it had learned from China I certainly got the feeling that it was hinting that. the US government could learn from China and the lack of a strategy and the lack of you know the lack of strategy for how to deal with. was certainly impacting their business and they regretted that that was the case.

"We've got McDonald's we've got starbucks. We have a longtime CEO emphasis on longtime reportedly leaving the company that he he founded and we will get to all of those but we have to start with apple. Because Apple's first quarter which is the holiday quarter was everything you would want to be if you're an apple. Shareholder profits and revenue came in higher than expected iphone sales fifty-six billion dollars worth of IPHONE. Sales else yeah. This is the quintessential beat and raise kind of quarter which apple probably needed in terms the stock Devaluation was trading At all time highs in now is a new all-time high a little bit more so it fulfilled A very high expectations and the question. That you know probably will be bandied around will not spend too much time on this house is evaluation justified at this point. Yeah I mean. We'll we'll get to the stock in a second but the iphone sales rightfully so getting the headlined find the. What is the other products category? That's the official named apple gives it the other products Apple Watch Air Pods beats headphones. Ten billion dollars worth of sales. Yeah you can split up the various segments of apple and get a number of extremely large companies and I should just spin off the other products and you'd have a maybe not a maybe not a top top one hundred company in terms of market cap but certainly top two hundred certainly if you were a fortune five hundred s and p five hundred companies. How many could you get out of Apple? There that that must've work has been done a few times the pile of cash is one of them At at over two hundred billion right now is one of the more dominant companies In history is apple's pile of trades under the ticker P. L. C. S. But in terms of the actual business yeah they've got the the various moving parts wearables. I I guess and and home and That being the the fastest growing part today and and so- expectations for for that or are the highest of various things I think that the IPAD and Mac Sales were a little below expectations and there. It would have been a time where that would have been a big problem But today is not that time iphone is still the dominant part the business and and really got the job done Especially in China. So what about the stock well actually before we wrap up on the stock worth mentioning and this is something will return to a couple of times. Today Tim. Tim Cook did talk about China. And I think in most notably showed up in the guidance that they gave cue to the range of guidance was wider than and they normally give and that was tim cook in his team's nod towards the uncertainty in China and rightfully so yeah a bit of uncertainty. Both as is to what the purchasing patterns will be there especially over quarter in our relief. You're looking at apple over one quarter of timeframe you're probably missing a lot of story there but Possibly benefiting a little bit from move to do some of the manufacturing outside of China and really. Yeah this like many other companies is talking has to talk about what the China fact is going to be in his largely answering entering with the you know over the short term. We really don't know over the long term. Probably not much of a problem apple stock has more than doubled over the past year. As you said it's at an all time high as strong as this company is. This really doesn't seem like the data by shares if you don't own shares so going into the day it had moved up from Over the last six months from about seventeen times earnings of over the next twelve months to twenty four times earnings over the next twelve months The next twelve months earnings. Are you know. Always a little harder to Way Than than the actual trailing twelve months so it they're looking at good earnings in the next twelve months and things like China might be more of a headwind than than we know today And giving a much higher multiple on that positive future. The than was being done six months ago. So yeah the the risk here is that the the stock trades a little bit more like the stock usually trades and at some point in the future. It probably will shares of McDonald's up a little bit this. It's morning after a good fourth quarter report. McDonald's prophets were a little higher than expected global. Same store sales were nearly six percent Another company dealing with uncertainty in China in the future in the present. McDonald's closed a few hundred locations agency. But that's a tiny fraction of the number of locations. McDonald's has around the world. Yeah there is certainly a time when McDonald's was looked tat Negatively for not having done as much expansion into China Essay Yum brands which got bigger there faster and earlier than McDonald's. What's but Today that doesn't look like As much of a problem They have to sort of give the same answer today that Others are giving. We'd we don't not really no. We're taking care of our employees and and you know we don't know I I think that for McDonald's it's more temporary sorry a more where permanent hit to actual cash in the bank in that. If you don't eat Adam McDonalds you're not gonna eat more there later hopefully Whereas if you don't go out and buy your iphone today and you really want to you're gonNA buy it And you know in a month or two or something like that so I think that you you know the phones will eventually be built and manufactured and sold and McDonald's. This is a you know when when they're closed for business they don't they don't make that up later. So that said is another good quarter. I think they have highlighted that US sales are an traffic is what they're you're most focused on and I think that is going well the US guest count getting US guests counter. Positive is our number one priority priority new CEO said In in the call. And you know they're they're getting people in they are. Although I get why it's a priority already. You know even though we see the positive comps and they're able to boost that ticket for two thousand nine thousand nine they did. They did see a slight decline in traffic. You mentioned mentioned the new CEO. I think that's also worth highlighting. McDonald's I mean this is a quarter we're referring to him as the new CEO. St I'm sorry because his name is harder to pronounce than Smith I'm GonNa let you take a crack at it. You'll probably get it right but I'm not one hundred percent sure that I'll pronounce it perfectly because because it is not Smith which is I think the only name I can confidently get right all the time Chris. Kempinski is the new CEO. And I think you're right. Yeah I wrote it down phonetically phonetically but worth pointing out that you know they put up. These numbers is a huge company. And they put up these numbers when in the middle of the quarter Steve easterbrook who had been from a business standpoint a successful CEO and certainly from a stock standpoint and he left suddenly and immediately and Credit to Kempinski and his lieutenants for having no time to ramp up as CEO l.. And pulling off this type of horror and we'll see if he can handle it just doesn't smoothly for the next couple of quarters. Yeah they're so so and there is a tendency to give probably my estimation too much credit to CEO Both positively the and negatively at times And we'll see whether McDonalds a an operation owes as much to Easterbrook as would have been thought the case you know this time last year he certainly did a great job and they're in a good position Right now what they're looking at is more for competition from places on breakfast which McCall's got too early while giving more competition to the the chicken sandwich phenomenon That Popeye's got to earlier than The McDonald's so they're rolling out a couple of new chicken sandwiches and they are. I think expecting more competition from Wendy's in the breakfast category so you know a little bit the getting To some competitions You you know. Both sides could and Brad from a headline standpoint starbucks first quarter report KINDA similar to McDonald's in the sense that profits came came in higher than expected they put up global same store sales growth of five percent. That was I think about a half percent higher than was expected and yet shares of starbucks down a couple percentage points and Maybe they're being more aggressive with their guidance. Since with respect to China but if they are it's probably because they need to be. Yeah I think this is where three three now on getting to China being a big part of of today's stories and It is the their fastest growing and I think second largest market and is a major major major contributor to the top and bottom line again when they're shutting down stores which they're doing closing They are losing that money that cash flow and they're not gonNA make it back despite our recommendation that if you have missed some coffee go ahead and drink more the next day right and make sure you're you're you're getting all the health benefits you can. I mean this is this is not make light of the situation but One thing that lives in listening to the Conference Call I. I felt like a little bit. The I thought the did a very good job of just going on again and again again about the partners Being what other places call employees starbucks calls partners and that the starbucks is success was all attributable to the partners and the a special relationships. And all that and and I'm going through as you have and will again the college experience and my feeling going to every single college and hearing their Spiel is what makes that place. Special is the people right and left and I got a little bit of that vibe was through the conference call which you don't typically quickly get There are many. CEO's that Talk about their third grade employees but starbucks is definitely a leader in that category. Oy I agree with that but I referenced. This the other day that I think that how companies doing business in China provide guidance in their earnings report. This quarter is something that bears watching more closely than usual and as a starbucks shareholder. I was happy with the guidance that they gave the clarity. You mentioned Kevin Johnson CEO. I'll also mention Pat Greece Murphy's the CFO just being very clear with analysts analysts about China about closings. Basically saying to the point that Kaminsky made with McDonald's look we're going to update our guidance for for the current quarter and the fiscal year as soon as we possibly can and they're also dealing in an environment where the the state government of China may not necessarily be giving them all the information they want. That is a very real possibility.

2 Stocks Profiting from Rewards Programs

"Is there a publicly traded company that helps these retailers manage their rewards programs of often wondered about this but I don't have any idea where to start the research. Well you came to the right place Mike. What about this because he's right? We often talk last week on Monday. Full money we were talking about retailers and restaurant companies <hes> frequently the rewards program comes up there awards program is vital actually for the performance of a lot of great companies and as such many companies manage their own <hes> there are smaller non publicly traded companies that may help with awards program but there are actually two really big companies <hes> publicly traded companies that are really really doing well in the business of helping companies manage their awards programs. The first one I think is probably a company everybody knows but doesn't realize that they work in this space and that's shop affi- <hes> so shop affi- While obviously helping small businesses businesses with their e commerce presence there payment solutions they actually have really robust loyalty pro program management as well so a lot of these small businesses so if you're going online near buying something directly from a a producer of their product and you get loyalty email from them or sign up for some sort of program that is more than likely managed by shop affi- and it's been one of the more lucrative aspects of their business but also another company and my personal. Personal favourite though it doesn't get much love round here is actually a company called Stone Co.. I'd stickers S. T. E. and it's a Brazilian payment processor and they actually acquired a company called collect and they have a really innovative way of managing rewards programs what they do is they actually track credit cards so when you go into one of their retail outlets and you pay with a credit card on a stone co machine machine what it does it gets your name it gets your information and then it tracks how often you go oh. They're so. Let's say you go to a coffee store on your way to work three times a week. They'll track that you pay it the same card you buy the same coffee and then you know one week. I'm not really feeling coffee. You keep skipping what they'll do. Is they'll send you an email and say hey ten percents off your next purchase to reinstate advise you to start going back to that. You know probably bad habit of getting coffee three times a week bad. What are you talking about? One of the healthiest things you can do but I tell myself to. Although if you see how how much sugar and milk I put my coffee probably saying the opposite fair but the point being that there are lots of companies that are operating into space. I do think Stone Cohen shop a Fi are two of my favorites and they're kind of under the radar when you look at their loyalty program <hes> support court systems well and Mike Get something that we've talked about this with restaurants before where it seems like restaurants are now at the point where if you're thinking about investing in a restaurant one of the questions on your checklist should Eh. What is their delivery strategy? Do they have one. What is it? How well is it working et CETERA? I think Mike's Question gets at something that you know sort of cousin of that. which is if you're investing in a retailer? What is their rewards program? Do they have one. You know we we were talking before we started recording as speaking of coffee as a longtime starbuck shareholder in general. I'm obviously thrilled with how the business has been run for the last twenty years but for for a good stretch of time and we talked a little bit about this on Motley fool money the other day for good stretch of time there rewards program was bizarrely to me an a massive underperformer when I when you consider how big the company is how successful they the ban it is one of those habit forming things and so the fact that they were trailing so many different retailers and businesses in terms of the number of people. We've gotten this rewards program just said to me boy. They're doing this wrong that there. It seems like under. Kevin Johnson they're starting to get that right and it's a Predator member of that. Not all awards programs or loyalty programs were made the same so while it's true that starbucks really didn't make a concerted effort to robust improve their their rewards the program ultimately the quality of the people they have in their program is very different than allow the retards that they were being compared to so even if you look at D._S._W.. Or Lululemon are Victoria secret for instance. All of these companies are look loyalty programs that people just put their emails in when they purchase an item right that doesn't necessarily mean that you've made the decision to become an active part of their loyalty community and the vast majority of these people are just getting these emails that are being sent to spam and not engaging with them at all starbucks was completely different. You know when you order to drink at starbucks. They didn't ask you for your phone number or your email address the way they do at other retailers so it's unfair look at starbucks were royal loyalty program and compare it in terms of numbers to another companies that being said it was clear that they they need to do something to improve the number of people they do have in it because there's a lot of optionality there and I think over the past couple of quarters they've shown that they have been making strides and getting members into their program but it's important to remember that not all rewards programs are the same question from Erik Nord said you're right. I was wondering how y'all go about researching companies management. I understand certain cash flow metrics can be used to see how they are reinvesting paying down debt or paying dividends but other than that. Is there a certain website or some other resource to analyze management within a company <hes> great question because at the end of the day it's actual human beings running these businesses thousand exactly what I was going to say the best resources for analyzing manage it is actually actually yourself <hes> so you can always use metrics like the ones you mentioned but when push comes to shop I think we are the best judge of character as humans and when you're investing in a company you should be considering it like you're giving your money over to management because and essentially you really are. You're giving your money to accompany to allow management to spend it as they see fit so when you look at it that way the question actually becomes a little different. It's not about analysing management within a company on a general level. It's actually about evaluating tweeting their decision making skills their capital allocation skills so do you trust them to make the right decision with your money and and that's where things get personal because a lot of investors around here tend to think okay well. Insider ownership is a big you. A catalyst for that right management's likely to make decisions with capital that benefits themselves so they own a lot of shares. They're likely to make decisions that will improve shareholder returns while I like to see that our ownership. I don't like to depend on that kind of selfishness right to determine whether or not I'm going to get my money over so I WANNA see management actually simply not caring at all about the stock price. That's meaningful to me because I want to see that they're more focused about important things leading the company building a good company <hes> they built a good company. The stock price follows. It's not the other way around so I think a good example of management. That's really kind of exemplified. This is bringing up shop if I again but to buy his luquet so he's said numerous times despite the fact that he's a seven percent shareholder moroder he doesn't concern himself with stock price at all. He doesn't spend any time thinking about the only thing he's focused on is that customer experience at the small business experience on his platform so I trust somebody like that to manage my money. <hes> so I think push comes to shove to get make a long doc story shorts really use your personal judgment. Listen to them how they speak on earnings calls listen to their strategic planning moving forward and think do I trust this person to do what's best with my money. What other resource I'll just mentioned is youtube? I always find it instructive to see what does this person look like. What are they sound like particularly when they are in an interview setting whether it's clips of them on C._N._B._C. Your Bloomberg or on stage in front of a live audience I think you do you get a good sense of what they're like summer more polished than others and by the way that you know that can cut both ways I mean some CEOS can be polished to the point of being slick and not in a good way but you mentioned the earnings calls? I think it's always interesting to see who you know are they on the call and if so who else is on the call. Are they deferring to people. What sort of management team do they have around them because everybody has weaknesses and the great CEOS not only recognize what their weaknesses are but they build systems and teams around them to compensate for it? Oh I love that. Humans can pick up on aspects of whether it be conversations. Ends answers that numbers simply don't get and I will just add <hes> you know you kind of mentioned dividends share buybacks there when it comes on capital allocation if the best thing management can do is issue dividends or buyback shares you should be thinking to yourself okay what does management doing for me that no other company can do because anybody can take your money and then turn it around and buy back shares or issue dividends You WanNa see somebody who's giving some value back to US couldn't agree more listen to them. Get a sense of who they are as a person and then ultimately determine whether or not you trust them and how they spend their money

"South east and west not many people. Not many cities can say that. So from a logistics. Percents perspective. It makes total sense, for people to come and set up opportunities here in Detroit. So we're excited about the logistics sector and getting things to the market just in time. In any other three passion, you take. All right. Interesting conversation. Joe nice job with that, you know, I it's clear that to me that incentives are here to stay and, you know, love them or hate them. And I've been a critic. The thing is, is that the entire country America from Costa shining. Coast is addicted to incentives. And these are the kind of deals that I mean, hate to say it, I mean we need to watch them, but it's almost like it has to happen. Especially with how landlocked Detroit is one of the biggest challenges and we've talked about this a few times, is that Detroit does not have continuous pieces of land. If you think about that interview interview with Dan Carmody trying to get space for MOVA rain packing, and you name it, although, Detroit has a lot of empty land has lots of little pieces of empty land. Yeah. And his point, you know, that, you know, had the spend pitched to Atlanta they would come up with. I mean, let's be honest, like any city in the south where, you know, there's already a lot of auto plants going, they would they would have stumbled over themselves to put together some kind. Package to get a nonunion auto plant in their state. I mean, the real question with incentives is this will America ever unilaterally disarm because until it does, it will never it will never change. And as much as philosophically, I have I have a big libertarian streak. I know there's a lot of things about incentives. I don't like I look at it an incentive thing, and I go, well, shouldn't the base business environment? Be good enough just to make to attract a business, but that isn't that's just not how America in two thousand nineteen works. This is the FIA Chrysler deal is the first big incentive project, you know, like large-scale jobs, five thousand jobs of its kind since going back to poll town, back in the early eighties, you know, and that was that, you know, huge famous story and everything you have to wonder I mean because the auto industry is famously boom and bust. Right. That's just the, the nature of the industry. It's it. I mean, most injure industries are cyclical though, businesses cyclical, but few of them are are as severe as the auto industry. We. No, that well being here in Detroit because we live by the sword sore so to speak. You know at the time either greater they're terrible. There's barely any in between and I looked to poll, Tom because that's a plant, you know, it's now called detroit-hamtramck assembly plant for GM it could close. They have unallocated you know, to us auto industry terms, all the products that are being made there. They're not going to be making me. So that plant right now today doesn't have any future product allocated to it. It could close. I mean so it's feasible that twenty years from now, the Jeep brand has lost its luster. Nobody's buying GPS anymore. And but do you roll the nice and say it's worth it for the jobs. In the meantime, right? I think a lot of economic development official would say twenty years of good paying jobs. It's worth rolling the dice. That's a question that we have to answer as a community and also note here that it's really clear to me, whether it's this project or a litany of other ones the number one priority seems to be in development all about. A large number of jobs out, if you've picked up that same thing from the conversation, it's all about job creation, and that is going to be number one until things kind of, like stabilized for the city will ensure an any elected officials going to, you know, the course they want this to happen under their watch because it makes them look good. Right. It's all about reelection. We'll for sure. But I think about other metro areas where people have a lot of kind of corporation about parks and all these other things. I think right now like it it's a very clear number one. And then they're hoping that it will pay for everything else, down the line, the other big thing, obviously, that he dropped was the spin off projects. You know, the kind of foreshadowing you can't really even call it foreshadow. And he basically said, this is going to lead to spin off projects that we're going to be announcing the next couple of weeks thirty two hundred additional jobs, which is really interesting, assuming that, that all materializes. I mean there are many spots. It can hold thirty two hundred jobs. I mean, I'm just saying right through the presumably, they won't all be one project or even to we'll see what happens. But wonder if. Poll town, had a similar sort of spinoff effect, and he drew the comparisons with Paul to I, I assume he was talking about poll town, where he talked about the, the incentives, adding up. You know, thirty years ago to two hundred thousand dollars or so per job compared to about fifty eight thousand dollars per job in the current FCA deal. So it's just I don't know. I don't have the answer. But I'm just wondering if poll town created spinoff jobs like he's talking about here. One of the things I thought was interesting in this conversation. I think I wanna leave people with is the diversification of the economy to me, that's really crucial especially noting things financial services. That was really interesting. Yeah. Very interesting. I'd never really it makes good sense. You know, we've got as you mentioned, Quicken Loans Chemical Bank now ally, financial all the, you know, the automotive credit arms, which have been operating for a long time, but it's interesting. I mean, you know, it strikes me that maybe there's like a larger branding effort needed to try to rebrand Detroit accordingly as a financial services sector because. Nobody thinks of us like that. You know, we're, we're not in the same. I mean, New York or San Francisco anywhere else that has financial sector jobs. I feel like that's kind of some of the work he's trying to do with these conversations right now. All.

"Were minus six against Kansas and Charles. Here's the thing. I I mean Kentucky is playing good ball Tyler hero really stepping up. They've got players. There's no doubt about it that this team really probably coach Cal probably liked it. I mean, I, you know, again, you never like to get blown out in your opener against Duke. But when they got blown out like they did thirty plus points. It really put Kentucky under the radar. And here's a team picked by the blue ribbon to win it off. But Kevin Johnson Tyler hero. You have is to transfer grad transfer from Stanford playing the post, so that's your veteran leadership there. Jay, Washington quasi. Green is transferring, but they still have a pretty good nucleus. There are six seven guys and they're playing their best ball minus six though, it's almost like Kansas even without as a bouquet you start giving his team six seven points. Like that. Chuck Kansas is is dangerous because they don't get blown out self has made judgments without as a bouquet is there too many points here or do you like Kentucky, minus two six total one forty four. Yeah. It's a little higher than I thought the line was going to come out. But I was looking at. I was hoping for maybe four four and a half. But you know, this is a typical team a young team. Carpets play about halfway through. All of a sudden they start playing a lot better basketball. And you know, the young team leader guys. The chemistry together. So they always do start up a little slow, and then he seemed to pick it up, and it looks like to me after some nice winds even on the road at Auburn. That was a tough a tough place to play. It looks like to me right now, they Kentucky is starting to pick it up. And I would only go Kentucky, you're out stay away..

Saw that I think are strong in CSX when it comes to freight. You know, I've been a huge huge fan of McCormick spice company. And I bet we hear some great things when they report particularly from their Franks hot sauce division. If you ever see this label in the supermarket snap it up. Let me know. Here's a while one freeport mitt brand, go copper and gold miner this Stockman. Perky of late by fen? Stephanie link was on halftime with me. And she was talking to me about it. It's interesting because copper has been real dog. We gotta find out what's going on here. I can't figure it out. But I sure like the way it trades. And you know, I like gold I was headed their balance sheet at the traders are all over that bad. Boy, I can't wait until after the close Thursday, these that's went into reports. And I wonder whether they'll nounce new CEO we spoke to interim CEO Bob swan last week when we out in San Francisco, and he was a bullying about his business Intel's put cheap stock. I buy both before. And after I think it's through fifty one any good news. How about Starbucks? Remember this stock took off last time CEO Kevin Johnson spoke on the quarter. I feel you might have stolen some of his own thunder. So unless he's got some positive news up steam about China, there may be nothing you to propel Starbucks higher. But it falls to the two fifties. I say to the fifties. Because it's in the low sixties you might want to snap some up a quarter. Hey, listen, we crazy market. You never know. I'm hearing too much chatter lately about how Western Digital might be concerned so concerned about. This balance-sheet that measure may action to address the baffled dividend. "And it did come down to the trenches which most people pointed out going into this game because these teams were both. So even a lot of people are looking at draft boards. Now trying to figure out who they're going to bring in to help on that offense of line to kind of protect Shawn Watson as much as they can one of the bigger names that has come out is old MRs tackle, Greg little. So that's something to keep an eye on there. And also if you just wanted to see a demonstration of how much, you know, this game came down to the trenches just watch that one play where you get the Quinton Nelson who's a rookie. Obviously a guy that has been talked about being possibly the offensive rookie of the year pancakes, Davey, uncloudy guy. It's gonna be a free agent and get paid a lot of money this off season. And he just takes. Down to the ground and from there on out. It just seemed like that goes off into one had a lot of confidence and despite going up against cloudy and going up against JJ watt. They were able to make things happened. And you know, kind of run it down their throats a few times. And look what's beyond. I mean, the rowdy here is is that what as long as the game went along. They just you know, they wear down. I mean, we talked. They get I think to the fact is when you look at the Texans, and and you evaluate them, and you see what they've been able to accomplish losing all those draft picks, you know, not having, you know, having a trade away picks, the dump the height avenue train away a bunch of pics to don't to don't to to move up to get the Shawn Watson, they trade. You know, they're they're short the death of their team hasn't been very good. And I think that's been a real issue. And I think when you look over the dross, and you know, some of the things that have happened. I think they're going to have to get away to where they can catch up a little bit with the league because they have some really good player some really talented players, but they're death is not very good. And that's what kills them in. And when you look at it over the last, you know from two thousand fourteen on I mean, I think that's really where they struggled the most in firms of you know, from fourteen on four they've had four first. Around pissed Watson fuller. Kevin Johnson and cloudy. You know Johnson was hurt. Your more is a great player. But he can't stay on field. You know, we don't cloud his then their second rounders Cunningham Barton, the kitty the guards to feel oh from UCLA. He's not on the team. And so they've kind kinda like not been able to hit and they need to come back with these guys. And I think that they're going to have to have a really good mid ground free agency where there get some good players and good value kinda like what the posted. But it's not that the Nico Autry. I mean, they need guys like that. That will. Yes. Step up and play a major role. I mean, I have to ask for we move onto the next game. Is there a world in which Bill O'Brien and all sorts of gum and people start pointing fingers at him because I have seen a little bit of that. Because Shawn Watson was that really gonna vitriol neither was Hopkins. And a lot of people were saying what's Bill O'Brien doing? And you know, there there've been rumblings and rumors before about his job safety there in Houston. Well, he wanted to power struggle last year. I made Rick Smith was the Rick Smith was always the golden boy. And the in the Texans organization. His wife got sick. He had the, but David Lowe, and we hope Rex wife is better here later learn that, but it became the owners of the Texans. The the the the McNair family Robert pass away Bob near passed away just recently, but their son now takes over he made it very clear last year with their decision that hey, he was going with Bill O'Brien fact, nobody thought that Brian Dane, the general manager would come back because they weren't really.
