"Their sixth win of the year that three point favorites tonight. Today. I should say in Glendale, Arizona against the Washington football team and joining us from the broadcast booth in Santa Clara, the man who beyond the call along with Greg Papa, and that is former NFL defensive lineman Tim Ryan. Tim. How are you doing? Well, Larry, how you guys doing? You know we're doing well, You know, it's I'm you're glad we're talking to you here, Tim, because, you know, First of all we always enjoyed talking to you, but, uh, no Kevin Givens, no DJ Jones today. And so how do you see the you know who on that front in your opinion has to has to step up to kind of compensate? Well, everybody's gonna have to step up, especially when you're talking about the between the tackle run game and I know they've lost Antonio Gibson, and that's a big loss for them that that dude Rookie at 11 touchdowns and it's just I think a big surprise what he's been able to do as a as a full blown running back, But something tells me we know when you look at their own line and really ate center and Brandon Sheriff and they're big and they're going to try to run the football and they're gonna try to run it with Peyton Barber, I would think on the early downs. You go back and study Peyton Barber with Tampa in his match up against the 40 Niners. He's run pretty well in between the tackles. So Ken Law is gonna have to play out of his mind. He's gonna have to have his best game. No question about it, Armstead. Those guys are all gonna have to play. Think above what they've been playing at. And then the big question. Mark is on Kentavious Street, and he has got a huge opportunity in this game. I believe he's going to get the start. I don't think they'll kick Armstead down to tackle on bringing Dion Jordan. I think it is going to be contained Ius and and you know when they get into their traditional runs, and they're inside zone, and they'll run some stretch, he's got to be able to penetrate. He can do that, Then I think most importantly, Larry he's got hold up on the double teams. He He has been on roller skates far too much this year. And for a guy that His weight room strong and maybe the strongest on the 40 Niner football team. With that 700 plus pounds squat. He's got to use it and he's got a hold up because they'll run that crunch double, where they double both defensive tackles. They'll adopt the running back and then just let him pick a crease. And that's gonna be a big challenge for continuous street. Did you see a £700 squat? Yeah. For 33 reps Unbelievable. That reminds me of remember Dean Kirkland. University of Washington. He was He was one of those guys that could like squat a small truck that Zach's impress. You know what was crazy with Kentavious Street when he took that 700 plus off the off the rack, it looked like he had 1 45 on his back. It was like, OK, no problem. Wow, that's impressive. Alex's flipped the ball. I mean, there's there's There's a lot of talk about Chase Young and yes, he is a young player. He's playing fast. He's making some plays a lot of flash. I think the matchup is going to be my test sweat and Mike McGlinchy. I mean, where do you see that Being this week? One point. I think. I think Trent Williams will get a look at both Chase Young and Montas sweat and it'll start with McGlinchy. Versus number 90 sweat who line up over on the left side, and that's going to be a challenging match up. The guy is unbelievably long. He didn't have a great rookie year. Remember, It was 90 in that game, and that Deluge quagmire last year at FedEx Field. It's a fast track in Arizona. He's got an unbelievable get off along with Chase Young and then they'll bring in Ryan Carrigan. And so McGlinchy will face sweat and Carrigan. I think you know a different times. Throughout this game. Sweat can beat you with speed. He can beat you inside these again tremendously athletic. And then when he wants to jump up and bat those footballs. I think he's got five on the year, had three last week against the Steelers. Dennis. He's got to do with the good offensive tackles do and they attack when a guy wants to get up in the air, and he wants to soft rush and then jump. McGlinchey's got to attack him and make him pay for it the way McKibben stated earlier in the year a couple weeks ago on Aaron Donald, so If he's batting balls. It's gonna be a long day. What's your What's your opinion opinion of McKevitt? I think he's mean he's had some some good plays. You know, he's gotten beat a couple times, but at that guard position do you see a future with the Neon is in the garbage? Yeah, I think right now, I mean, obviously with Compton's issues, he is the starter and I think they're trying to Continue to build him and this will all be money in the bank for for next year when he comes into your to. I think he's done well in pass protection. No, Erin Donald got him once or twice. Aaron Donald does that to everybody. Where's challenges have come in, at least in my opinion, more than in the past game has been in the run game and just taking those you know the correct attack steps being ready for guys that are going to attack a run game with a pass rush. That's always a challenge for young offensive lineman trying to read the stance and what that guy's going to do, But I think all in all you know you can hide offensive lineman and he you know if they're not playing well, but he has not stood out like a Like a sore thumb. Big matchup today, though, I think when you When you look at those guys inside and they can be run on, by the way, this this team and they're very vanilla and how they line up down. It's a lot over defense, so they'll shave that that defensive line to the strong side. The run game will all start with getting Diran pain and Jonathan Allen blocked on the inside Both tremendous run defenders. They're big. They're fast. They're athletic. Jonathan Allen. You know he doesn't get off blocks as well as the other guy, but he's the leader of the defense, So I think it starts there and I think and I hope There's a heavy commitment to the most Geraghty in this game. Today. They cannot get one dimensional against this Washington football team clearly and I think if the defense holds up and I and I anticipate they will early in the game. You know Washington's been a tremendous second half football team. They have not been fast starters off offensively in the in the first half of games, so I'd love to see a huge commitment and continue to feed. Most karate in this game because you and I both know he's one cut away from taking a house call talking to Tim Reid is to get you ready for the 40 Niners in the desert today against Alex Smith and the Washington football team. First and foremost, I'd be remiss if I didn't say this. Congratulations to your Trojans. They beat the baby Bruins on that about dive. That was that was a thriller. Yesterday, I will take that Tim line that was often say they got a You two were gonna be going out of a slug is your Huskies? Can you pass codes for the whole show? Yes, it will be your record against the Trojans. Oh, here we go. So So here was the deal. My friend over there would be no deal You guys had you had you had Rodney Peete, My my sophomore. My freshman and sophomore year on then I don't know who the last two years were, but, yeah, it was a bitch. Merin Merin. Last year was Rodney the first three years and then Um Todd the last year when you guys had Chris Chandler and Cary Conklin, there were Conklin. How about that? He was a Redskin. Also, he was a red scare. Hawass. That's right. Bad. Hey, but obviously, you know, Robert solid well, and he wasn't happy clearly with what happened last week. What kind of bounce back performance do you expect on that side?.

"We'll just just to kind of reiterate what you guys were talking about along this front four and you know to me reminds me a lot of what the 40 Niners had last year Chase Young as 4.5 sacks. Monta sweat. It was a guy. Ran a 442 at the combine has six sacks. Ah, guy that the 40 Niners are looking at around the deadline. Of course. A Ryan Carrigan's got 5.5 sacks You just mentioned The rookie Chase Young in Ohio State. He has four half. I mean these guys of front it's everybody across the board and remind you of last year where you had Bos and yet four and yet buck there yet, Armstead. It was like, who do you block these guys? Tim Settle has five sex when he's a backup defensive lineman in the middle of Iran pain. Jonathan Allen of the Stardust himself settled comes in his pass rushing defensive tackle. He's got a five sex so You got to account for everybody up front. I know Chase Young because he's the number two overall pick in the draft like poster was a year ago gets all the headlines, but they've got five guys who really can get after the passer up front. Why I'm wondering about this today with Alex Smith because Ron Rivera this week and said they were asking him about the type of quarterback Alex Smith is now not just is like a mental leader or, you know, he's not a token, he's not just some some inspiration for the team toe rally behind. He's playing decent football game a couple weeks ago where you threw for almost 400 yards, But he said he's just not as mobile as he used to be. And I don't think we think about Alex Smith. Is this quarterback who was gonna gonna burn you like Lamar Jackson can, but he certainly could can keep plays alive or or wait for guys to get open downfield because he can extend plays. I wonder, because the 40 Niners don't have that pass rush that we're talking about relative to the Washington football team. If we think they're going to get to Alex Smith more today, like they were excited. The DJ Jones wasn't lost for the season. He's like second on the team with two sex right? Yeah, And that's not good. That's not good at all. What John's labeling all these guys to get 456 back of guys with five sex. I mean, this is what the Niners offense or defense look like last year. You've got to create that same sort of pressure for Alex Smith. Yeah, And it's similar to the Newlin Saints game. Alex Smith is a guy that hates that gut pressure. He hates that pressure in his face. So if you get some Interior Ken Law and if you are instead if you get some guys to get some pressure in his face, get him kind of run because he's not mobile. You know, he's not going to get outside. He's gonna beat you in a perimeter. If he has to get off his mark, it makes him decision. Make some plays outside. You have a chance. But you gotta have that contained Russian. You gotta have that got pressure. Yeah, There's no doubt and that's what these guys have. And that's what the four dinners last year had. And you look, you see flashes from Kindelan. That's nice, but we don't one of the problems today. It doesn't look like DJ Jones is gonna go in the middle. Kevin Givens. His wife just had a baby. So so he's not gonna play tonight. Play today. So what kind of inside pressure they're gonna get? We know that the Washington football team has three or four guys that can bring it. What can the 40 Niners bring when their mission DJ Jones? When the mission Kevin Givens, who has been really good? I like kin Law..

"I don't see Debo on the injury report today, So that is good news as well. Now, debate was a full go yesterday in practice, so he's back off the foot contusion. I was just listening to Kyle's zoom. Zuma Zuma, So the main issue is The defensive line and, you know, getting everybody back here. So you're not gonna have Kevin Givens and they had their hopeful will be able to get back out of the corn chain. To play in the next game against the Dallas Cowboys, But you're not gonna have D. J. Jones. So they're gonna have to do one of a couple of things. Maybe they move Eric Armstead inside, which I think you would be in favor of Yes. Because you've got you know you got Armstead and you got kin Law and you got Carrie Haider Junior or three starters, you're minus CJ Jones and the guy that started for him when he was out on covert the covert list. Kevin Givens. So you could move Armstead inside and then start Dion Jordan and the out on the outside. They could do that. Or I think they'll certainly do that in the turbo package. The gold rush. Or you know they could start containing a street. One of the other inside players, but, um yeah, it's gonna be another thing about what? I'll always DJ good to be out with the ankle. It's not a high ankle, but it's a problematic ankle and the key thing on defense would be We have to get Kay Juan Williams back as well. If he could play in this game, and I think he's got a good chance to play in this game. So there you go. That is the injury report today for the 40 Niners. Remember, we'll have all the coverage for you on Sunday. Right here on the sports lead. In the meantime, let's give you your four pieces of sound You need to hear today, including Richard Sherman. What he said yesterday And then John Lynch's response this morning on Murphy, Mac. Here you go. Full time for some foreplay with Papa and run. I'm Dirk Diggler. Four chunks of audio that really get you going..

"Join us. It is a Wednesday Dennis Brown will join us in just a few minutes. Quick recap of college CNN's press conference today from the desert. You got D. J. Jones with an ankle, but it is not a high ankle sprain. That is good at Compton. Still in the Protocol for concussions. Depot's got a foot contusion, which is a fancy name for bruise came one still got that high ankle going on right now. I'm trying to read my writing. Somebody has a oh, that Zach would be mostly he's got a hammy and Kevin Givens was out because of personal reasons today, so that is your injury report. What do you do Short hand or do you write mostly horrible E The man just says hammy and it's some scribble, but it starts with him, so I decipher it. It happens to me all the time that I can't read what I wrote. What does that say? The one thing that most concerning is Depot in the 50 ft contusion. When did you get it in the game? Did it was that part of the reason? He Was not as active in the game plan. Do they have to alter that during the game from whatever I'll go back and watch and look at it have these answers, But he didn't get you. He did have a catch, and so late third quarter The one thing Kyle did tell me and my interview with him last week that I found really interesting about Debo. And it's the beauty of Kyle because he's so honest. Um That he has to call plays and design where the wide receivers lineup. At times too. Protect Deebo and the Jones fracture off the foot. That he has a hard time rounding Certain routes because of the foot, and this was before whatever's going on with the foot contusion, so I don't know if it's the same. Foot and he wasn't gonna be. You know, he's not going to say exactly what's going on there. But I think is good is depots ban For one thing? He was gassed. He was really tired the other night when they were feeding on the ball in the fourth quarter. You got tired. But he's not completely over this. What contusion big guy over the head coach to come out and say That he's had, you know, just worry lines him up and just so he could. He could be sharp on his cuts, so he doesn't you know, put weight on whatever food is bothering him, which I found really? Really interesting that he would divulge that and that he has to do that for one and two, and then I think that's the the You know the real concern. Proceeding forward. You know, D J. Jones in the ankle, obviously. Cause he's so important and what he had last year. You almost had to have surgery on that, and it cost him the playoffs and Super Bowl. He plays Maybe the 40 Niners win that game, but The foot contusion for DeVos, certainly something to keep an eye on. No, we'll give you the rest of what Kyle said. But Dennis Brown is going to join us coming up Next. We obviously know what's going on with the 40 Niners and Dear defensive line. We talked about the sacks alert, but the W F T, the Washington football team they have A first enforcement front as well. We'll get into that and more Niners issues as we look ahead to Sunday's game against Alex Smith with Dennis Brown next only here on the SportsCenter..

"They're gonna be entered two a chance to win with U S A. And of course that's coming up this weekend. Army Navy real quick, Alden Smith. Obviously a lot of people around here, both playing for the Raiders in the 40 Niners. You helped get him back on the field. Can you detail that? Yeah, he actually got brought into M v p. He was living in sober living in L. A. His career was over and he bonded with these veterans and he started really opening up and it took him about a month or month and I have to start talking and what we do it every day. Is we come together and we're trying to get a gun a half hour just to get that burn again. But then afterwards we shit on the around and we called our huddle and we just opened up and we have a mental health Little We're vulnerable on man. When I see their bowling like you guys don't know about a fight background of mixed martial arts. I want to question my manhood. So I'm crying. The drop of a dime like I'm good I do with that vulnerability is real stretch and You know, we have a deceptive he was coming to in l A. We literally have 70 80 90 together opening up. So here's all this miss opening up in front of 80 strangers. Say, you know, guys don't insult Smith and I was one time when the best players in the NFL and now I've been out for four years and in my problems was alcohol and other issues. But my big problem was is I never felt worthy of being loved. It wasn't till I met this group that for the first time, I liked all this miracle. I feel worthy of being loved. You guys been around all this, but that's not the Alden Smith that I knew the NFL. And when he started talking like that started Reaching out to our veterans helped them, pull them up with their own sobriety and started being of service. I said to him one day, he just probably said, you know, So why do you think you're not? The league used to be kind of everybody else's fault and then also, he said, I'm not to leave because it's me my fault. I'm the one who did it. It's nobody else. It's May I I I'm the responsible one here. I said, really. You have to shame, too, Because if I was you know, if I ever got back in a couple years ago, I couldn't really helped a lot of a lot of other players. That was like, Oh, my God. What is this stuff from? So I said, Oh, my God. You know what all of them. No. You wanna be a service of the player? And I've done crazier things this week, man. Let's go walk, just walk together, you get blown up in Iraq. Yeah. There's a huge 40 Niner fat and loved all that and love the Niners and the Niners got him going through his rehab and kept him going to say that he looked forward to and that's what sports really has an impact in the military. And also in all the comes into everything, and this guy he's like, Oh, my God, and they bonded and he gave me a purple 100. When he left Texas. It would Beautiful. It was incredible, and he's wanted to warn the hard days this year as well. And all that was there from every step of the way. I'm really proud of who he's become. And I'm proud of the brotherhood and sisterhood that I'm building throughout this country That could show you It's never too late. Whatever chance never too late to redeem yourself. It's never too late for you to change and you deserve to be. Okay. Well, thank you so much for your time. We are gonna warn you before you ask this next question. We're gonna take the audience live T o Kyle Shanahan's press conference and he's sitting down right now as we speak, so I won't ask you one. Maura, let you go. Jake Glaser. Thank you so much for your time. We appreciate it, man. There you go. All right. Are we ready to go? Yeah. Kyle's taking the mask off, taking a swig of his tall Starbucks, John, and he's ready to go. Oh, All right, guys Injuries for today. Compton will not practice. He's in the protocol. Concussion protocol. DJ Jones Ankle sprain will not practice. Um, TVs Debo Samuel has a foot contusion will not practice. Okay. Juan Williams Ankle will not practice today. We'll see how it goes in the week, mostly hamstring. Also not practicing today. We'll see how it goes in the week. Um and Kevin Givens. Excuse for personal reasons, I guess..

"That's everybody's I mean, we relationships with all these guys. And I really like Akello. Um there comes a really good dude. I enjoy talking to him. We talked a lot over these years together. Um, he knows what I like about his game. He knows what I just like about his game, eh? So he gets that from me. He also gets it from solid gets a promise position. Coaches get there from TM. There's not one person that you just go to hear, Um anyone who can help and anyone who has the relationship. We're always trying to do that, And there's lots of ways, so there's lots of different personalities in here. There's lots of different ways to reach people and each week you want to reach people the best way, and there's lots of different avenues to do that. And that's why he tried to kill your building up with his many good people who can connect with people There is and one guy who It can connect with someone doesn't mean you could connect with the next guy. Um, lots of people relate to different people, and that's why you tried to get all types of guys in here. Yeah, Culture is a huge deal, man. That's where the winning teams have. And I know we're winding down here, but I gotta ask, you know Josh Allen's the Kid out of California's Central California Fresno. State fans all know him well, because he wanted to go to Fresno State. They wouldn't even give Miscall wouldn't take his call. Oh, because regrets. Everybody's got him an evaluation. I know, but you got to d lineman who are playing well carry Haider. Kevin Givens. You got Eric Armstead. He's out there. Have you guys talked about? Hey, Extra drinking your milk eating extra. You gotta build up your strength to take Josh Alan down. There was a miked up moment with Joey Bosa, where he said to the ref something like this guy's so blank and big, you know, and so because I thought about the challenge of trying to slow down the body of Josh Allen in the pocket Oh, yeah, definitely. I mean, it's a really easy as good as advertised. And the skill set that he has no, I mean, with his mentality. You don't see many guys that big who can run that fast to also have the mentality. Um, run people over. I mean, so if you sit there and think he's going to go down easy, you're gonna get extremely embarrassed because he can run you over. So you better bring it on him, and he decides the fly. That's the hardest thing about it because I have the mentality toe not get trucked by basically a truck coming at you. You gotta bring it and match it. And if they go down at the last second, you gotta do everything you can to not touch the guy. So it's a very fine line with that. But if if you go in there with any hesitation versa, guy without size and that speed I mean, you're in trouble. So, um, also our D line knows, And our whole defense knows that. Just the deal. I can take care of him that has to do with a lot of people has to with all 11 guys out there and, um and that's why people are talking about this guy the way he is, but hopefully we can frustrate him a little bit. Make it hard on him and I'll make this good game. Could be awesome man. I know it's a huge challenge, and there's been a lot of no with the family and everything. And like you said, You just got to focus on this day by day, so I won't make you make any grand proclamations. But this is gonna turn out. But I know I know and you and it's a tough deal. But, hey, it's gonna be fun. You guys were in it. The game Monday night should be awesome. And we always appreciate your honest and candid thoughts, cars. So thanks, man. Have a great weekend. Get through today and then just take on tomorrow and then we'll catch up down the road. All right, guys, I appreciate a man taught you guys soon. Kyle Shanahan. Always enjoyable, Paulie. What do you say we give away Silverado on the other side? Beautiful, sir. Yes, camp here. 1045 and 6 83 Sports League. You're listeningto.

"I wanna give the defense some credit here. I think the defense is held up really well have amid all their injuries so their twelve in defensive devi away that was before today. I'm not sure where they are now. That was before the packers game. They're twelve still. Okay cool that makes sense because the packers there were ten. Th in defensive success rate and fifteenth than epa per play so. They're still very competitive. Despite losing nick boza d ford. They've started or dave not started. They have played nine different. Cornerbacks this season which is insane to think about so i just want robber solace credit Just for meghan imperative did really good job of adjusting. This unit is thirteenth or better in yards points. Turnovers interceptions plays and time of possession per drive like they are very very competitive. I know some of the games. Obviously they haven't played the most the strongest offenses but they've also played aaron rodgers also russell. Wilson has challenges. Yeah i'd agree. I think outside of brian allen performance against the dolphins they're arguably like a top seven eight defense like the dvr away would be significantly better for warrant for brian Being in the starting lineup and and they're adjusted sacree as fell to twenty fourth. Which is the worst since twenty seventeen. So they're not getting any pressure but they're still playing good defense. That's a testament to everyone else on the defensive side of the ball as well as robert sala They're holding up there under the bargain. What we expected this season especially after the injuries to both on ford the defense defense would take you know there would be some sort of regression. They take a step back. They're not going to be a top five unit and the offense would have to carry a heavier load which they haven't been able to do hence weather losing more games this season one hundred percent agreed and the forty niners how the six highest blitz percentage of the nfl. This year. they're blitzing thirty four point. Eight percent of of time in last year were just saying is roberson is setting for the team's lack of pass rush. I think san francisco blitz just north of twenty percent a season ago which was the fourth lowest rate. So he's just trying to do whatever every candidate pressure and fred warner kaelin williams. Those guys that he's having to rely on but just him man for just generating overcome setting for lack of pass rush and finding ways to get it done all right most improved player. I have to pretty much no brainers for me. I wanna see where you go on this one though. Okay most improved. Ooh i will start on the defensive side of the ball. I'm gonna go. Kevin givens underrated. I feel like we don't talk about it as much just because he's not a starter along defensive line he's an interior player so he's not gonna make all the splash. Plays iraq stats. But i think he's been among the top in a run stop win rate As well as just run stops for the team I think he's been fantastic in the amount of time he's played. Obviously it was a practice squad player so his improvement has been vast because he's now a rotational player So i would start with givens. One hundred percent agree on givens so he's easily been the most surprising player on defense at least so he's definitely been the most productive defensive linemen which would surprise a lot of people saw when i watch these games again. This is before the packers game. Because i've known interesting in watching that i'm not gonna watch a team full of backups. The dip of line so the most wins. Kevin givens twenty-one gary hyder seventy vonk von sixteen eric armstead fifteen and by going by snap counts. Kevin givens has played two hundred. Twenty-nine snap count the next closest to him. Among those four is von kinlaw at three hundred and sixteen so he is winning just at an incredible clip compared to the rest of the team. And he's he's earned himself a bigger role which speaks for religious as you mentioned undrafted free agent in a relatively deep defensive line. What's really stood out to me is. He's not winning. One way is not relying on one thing. He's winning with like speed to power. He's running you know from the outside from the inside. His only sat came as an edge. Rusher so i. I think the forty niners have something pretty promising in kevin gibbons in. He's going to be able to help them in the future. Moving forward on offense i would go kendrick bourne thinking. Yeah no it's good that we're on the same page here. I think barnes has really grown as a receiver. No as far as technical stuff are saudi side of recognizing the blitz. He uses hands really nicely to keep himself. Clean is around runner this year more than any other year that i've seen he's actually creating himself after the Born remains like a hyper fish receiver. Yes twenty five percents. This year eighteen of those gone for first downs. That's that was his bread and butter last year. It just like he's a lot more comfortable and he's playing faster this year twos. Oh what do you like about born just his ability to make plays after the catch the season that was. I think something even. He touched upon during the off season that when he caught the ball last season his goal. Maybe we'll just like fall backwards into a first down or or he got immediately tackled but now it's to plant and look to make a play look to turn up field in gangster yards and that shows in his stats And he's he's blossomed into the third best receive around this roster no doubt about it Which probably isn't saying much but Yeah if you look at the offensive side of the ball. It was pretty clear that he was the most improved player. I i might have gone depot but debate. Hasn't played enough right to to warrant that. So i i would go so we talked about this a little bit before Most disappointing on one hand. I just it's depressing that we haven't been able to see nick bosa this season because what he did he has arizona he terrorized them and they were doubling him chipping him. They were sending extra attention his way. But the answer has to be the quarterback. I don't feel like there's any way around this. And i'm just gonna say jimmy. Yeah like it has to be jimmy garoppolo and yes. His play has not been good but you also have to stay on the field like you have to be healthy. And of course him. Getting hurt isn't his fault. But it's been happening over and over and over so when this happens we have to assess that into his talent evaluation. So i just yet. Jimmy garoppolo has not played particularly well as i mentioned his stats. Do not look great As you met you through this hour midst thirty three of fifty six games. He's been pay. Twenty seven million dollars. That seems to be left out of very quite a bit. When when talking about your starting quarterback what is it. That has been the most disappointing part of jimmy. Garoppolo's game to you.

"They have possessed the ball had long drives. They've had drives where it's just like run run run run run run pass. It's just long drives keeps the other defense on the field and what that does is it keeps Russell Wilson, and their offense out of rhythm out of sync and I think if they're able to do that, they're able to possess stay ahead of the change they on schedule and you know when the time of possession battle and win the rushing attempts battle I think they can come away with win If we, I think we talked about this few weeks ago. If we were to rank the four units in this game, I, think the hawks offense probably the best. niners office honors Defense is probably pretty fifty fifty. I'll give the edge to the offense just because they have more talent and then you'd say the niners defense and then there's a long gap till you get to the Hawks defense a Grand Canyon type gap so. If, it just plays out like it did the last few weeks where I think the niners ton of confidence. Jude like you mentioned Russell Wilson. Hasn't been playing well these past few weeks Russell Wilson on third down. Been Good. He's seventeen of thirty eight on third DOWN WITH ONE TOUCH DOWN Six they can get him to third down, they can get some type of pass rush. and just four some timely stops. Garoppolo doesn't make the boneheaded mistake. I think they can come out of there with the win the looking good. It's not supposed to actually supposed to be sunny, which is pleasant for a fall Sunday There's no fans obviously no twelfth man. Think. They're three and on the road they got the ninety four lights. I'm just putting all those things together. I can see them pulling away with this game. Yeah, and it's tough to disagree with any of that I. I do think you mentioning the confidence does play a bigger factor than were willing to discuss just They've been rolling like the Office of line. They've been rolling the running backs Adrian. Rolling Jimmy Garoppolo even seeing him complete passes downfield seeing him complete passes over the middle of the he tends to have a short term memory, which is one of his best rates as well. So being able to have the success that they've had on offense should go a long way and the defendant playing lights out like the defense has gotten turnover. So bats sticks in your mind they're playing asked I. Imagine we'll see Fred Warner blitzing alive more just because I don't WanNa call him the best pass rusher on the team. But if you were to, I would not disagree with you. that. I, we see more Kevin Givens. He got his first career sack Mashhad Kevin Givens. You played well all season. Something somebody upfront has to step up is this the game where? Law plays like a first rounder. Is this the game where Eric? Plays up to his contract you mentioned their pass block win rate that to me is more of a sign that Russell Wilson gets rid of off ask just plays well because when I watched their offense of line I don't get the sense that they're this dominant improved unit I do see them being a lot it's just going to be up to whether the forty niners can take advantage of that I think the difference in. This game will be if the forty nine able to hit their big plays or not because they will be there they will be there early and they will be there often. So if Jimmy's able to hit them if one of the runningback able to break, you know a bigger run because hasty even against the Patriots in those limited touches, he has twenty yards eighteen yard like he nine yards, he's Hatton's gains where he's consistently. You know going above and beyond what you would for him. So yeah, the talent is there and it's going to be it's going to be shooting. See how both coordinators forty niners attack I don't know I don't really have a score petition because I haven't I haven't dug into this enough I want to. Rewatch the SEAHAWKS and cardinals game just to Kinda see how bad Seattle wasn't defense but I think we'll have a better idea moving forward up I will hear all throughout prediction here I do think they're gonNa win just because a for everything you said for everything that we've talked about on this podcast Seattle will forever be overrated in my mind I Russell Wilson Hide. So much of what they do I think I think Tyler Lockett is amazing. I think decay metcalf is a really really good receiver but outside of that Jamal Adams is not GonNa play Chris Carson Noggin play that means our FM probably not playing I. Think even my Davis's out like or they're gonNA call marshawn back like what's going to happen who's going to run the ball for them if you? Turn them into a one dimensional one dimensional team. The forty niners cornerbacks are better than Arizona's like Patrick. Peterson is just not the same Patrick Peterson anymore I will Jason Brett every day of the week over Patrick Peterson it's going to be about matchups though I do like Moseley guarding decay Mecca based on how he played him last year I do read against Excuse me against t t TJ Tyler Lockett. So those if that were to be the match up in man coverage I would like that it's not going to always play out just because they stick to the same size because solid thinks this scholars all holy podcast we can do. But I mean I I do like the match ups I think the forty niners. Their office line should be able to give Jimmy time and create rushing lanes for the running backs and Think that was a really good point you had about how they hold onto the Baugh and they just know who they are after these last two games. So I was a forty niners. Seattle Twenty six what is your score prediction? Paint a picture of this game. It's GonNa look very similar to the week's game. I. Think The niners come out they look really good on offense it they they look in that first half where you look like, is this going to be a blowout game where they're able to run the ball Jimmy looks comfortable. I think he didn't have like an incompletion in that first half like they were rolling and I I imagine Russ in the second half does his usual Circus Act and keeps the team in it, and it's always going to be a little little too close for comfort. With the Seahawks Z. You can just never seem to put put them away. They're always in these weird one possession games but I do think the niners pull this one out like you mentioned I really liked the Moseley met cast matchup thought Mosey played really well Looks like a freak this season but I do like that I do like variet- against lock it I also like Locke it were to move inside and k want Williams to play I I.

"Kevin Givens got a sack late in the game and that offensively And this is where Kyle is brilliant. And it's not just the way he designs. Ah fans. He's a little like coach Walsh, but maybe even a step above it. Where Kyle Identifies. Hui wants on his team to run what he wants to run. And you gotta block here. You know my song the other night. Easy place play to see football. He's laughing at the 40 Niner wide receivers and how they play and you know it. Just all they do is block. They're just got a bunch of blockers on the team. It's kind of important that I get big place to have the wide receivers block. That's why you know Randa yuk was was chosen here, not Jerry Judy. And you've got to do that. That's tight ends. Gotta block. You're not gonna play. They all gotta blast their half backs to block on the X Force when they run out with Tebow the dead pool so Hey, he has a clear idea of how he watched that. That's a personnel gift that he has that a lot of coaches just don't have But you got to know how you want to play and then procure the challenge to be able to play that way, but also what he does. Is just next level, and at one point during our sit downs were then we got to get into view. However much they rely on Advanced scouts and analytics on the other team, or is it just As in football you have all week to watch every single snap or what they do on defense, So I need an advance scout to do it when I could do it myself, And I'm the one calling, designing the offense to beat that. So he comes up with a way our game plan specific. They say that about Bella check and Bella checks defense. It's game playing specific. There's some principles that they're going to run. But they're things they're going to do. To attack that specific defense and, like his dad would dio a specific player every every now and then they're going to go to get a guy whether it's the run game in the past game and coverage, whatever it is. And exploit him and his dad was great at it. And Kyle is a swell so in this game You know, we're trying to figure out who's going to be DeVeaux. Would it be? Ai yuk run of the jet sweeps you get Kevin White up. You know what if you get Jordan Reed back in this game and He could do a little of the route running stuff and you could use are you could use white can use Jet McKinnon and the Jets sweep. You know, maybe they don't use the Jets sweep as much in this game for maybe he It just doesn't work against this defense. You know you want to, you know, have the simultaneous horizontal action with the inside run game to stretch out the defense normally to deal with a fast flow. Defense that over pursues Will that work against Bobby Wagner and KJ right in the way they play defense? Maybe not. Maybe he just He wasn't gonna put their their anyway where Devo or maybe have somebody else do it. Maybe you don't do it, so I they're going to overcome. You could say they're cursed. But they're four and three. They're overcoming the injuries and stomach bad. I mean, the nick Bosa One is bad. You're not going to get him back. And like, you know, you see these elite guys like Mac and Donald last night. He's one of those guys is a game record game changer. You know, season changer, but you could, you know, figure out a way to manufacture it. And that was Sherman's injury. You've got corners that are actually I think better skill to play a more diverse system with more man coverage and The way they moved their feet with a red and mostly McKay wine back, so I mean, I think we dwell too much on the injuries because that's what we do. And tomorrow we'll get an injury report is practicing Who's upto? It's all you talk about become Sunday or, you know some point they don't care. I'm going to put the game playing together. They're gonna go with the guys they have, and I think they found A way to have a system in place the Shanahan's system in a scheme weak, too weak to overcome the injuries. Anderson Siciliano join us coming up next. Obviously, we'll talk to Niners will take a look around the entire league plus Since we were just talking about punters. Why don't they show punters? What does that prove? Looking into that conversation? Plus, obviously, he's down in L. A. So we'll talk about the Dodgers a bit and what is the buzz like in Southern California will do it all coming up next only here on the sports leader. "So he finished the game with five receptions on eight targets for seventy yards. Four of those went I down. So all about moving the chains that was nice and he had sixteen yards after the catch and on two of those players were Rpo that I wrote about where manages it gives you all the space in the world and this same. These type RPO's is exactly how they use Diba last year. Darn. As Yup Dr you make one guy miss and then it's off to the races and I. I have a real good feeling that I see is going to bust one coming up here, and they also use the monoplane action route where he's just coming across the field and it's really just a foot race and you are not going to run with him in a foot race. So really love usage man I'm really fascinated to see how that happened how that works when depots back because they have a chance to be very dangerous because there's a lot of speed on the field and they're young. And it's not going to always look pretty but I mean you depot kill and then you have born to it's too bad that read went down because they were using read in the red zone specifically in ways that they do not use kill and that's going to rub some people the wrong way. But it seems like Shanahan trust re down there more because I've never seen them run a slot fade to kill has it has it happened before I don't think. So re read probably has more target more red zone targets in two games and Kendall. Did like all blassie's thought it feels like. That might not be I'm sure you're right. Yeah. So there was one on the play that he actually got injured. It was a great design where mullins could not better ball if anything read has to get his feet down there and that's an easy touchdown but that was a really narcissism when I just I I wonder like why don't we see this with kill but yeah, hopefully hopefully, he comes back I would just honestly put them in bubble wrap until the team is like week sixteen, seventeen playoffs and then bus read back then because given the default treatment Yes. Yes. Man. Oh I was. Going Back to defense. I. Thought Kevin Givens played really well. So young undrafted free agent from a year ago. He is a size three tag they said he'd beefed up a little bit. He only finished with one tackle. So he's not going to get a lot of love but he also to stop had three wins. He had one play where he split a double team. The running back to bounce to, Eric Armstead armstead made a tackle. It just seems like he's causing chaos wreaking havoc in the backfield, and that's really good to see because the forty niners they're going to need these timely stops these timely wins, he's timely sacks timely qb hits because you're not going to have nick. Bosa rely on you're not gonNA have before to get these sacks and as we've. Seen. So far like Armstead isn't getting pressure on the quarterback. So somebody's going to have to step up. It's probably not gonNA be given every week, but it's nice to see givens get pressure this week by thing with like interior defensive linemen and how they get judged is when you look at the stat sheet, they're like impact isn't like visible right? Like you mentioned givens only how to tackle. Even can laws numbers may not look great but when you watch the game and you see how much they get into the Backfield, how they push you know the guards or the center right back into like a running back and they have to balance out somewhere and they get tackled they completely change plays in givens. Does that I feel like a lot more than not? cuge pickup and we talked about this. Maybe in the preseason Pod, we'd ranked like solving Thomas. Kevin Gibbons. Street Kevin. Givens. Probably, the best player of the three so far not goes. Okay. Yeah. I was hesitating because I. Saw Him and Thomas. But. Kevin Given has has looked real good as rob writes down where to Yep. Because you did mention can law too. So I went back and watched can law. Because there was one that stood out I I thought he was like rushing off the edge, but they run a they ran a stunt with Zeon. So where Ziggy Ansah was on the edge. Can Law was lined up three, three tech and onset comes inside can lock Russia's the left tackle. He has so much power. He drove the left tackle not given. That is probably not very good but drove him right back into Daniel Jones dental, Jones. I think completed the ball but. You know more often than not going to be a sack. There was another play where can law like busted through the double? Team. And made a play in the backfield. And then there was a tackle for loss. On devante Freeman. Again, just violent hands shed the blocker was backfield. So a lot more consistently we need to see that out of Ken Law but I'd argue that was his best game so far and any looks like he's just getting better each and every game. His snap counts have gone up so it looks like the The Defensive Coordinator Trust more to be out on the field, and especially given the injuries in need hidden, grow up fast and he's doing that. Yeah, it sucks like to put it that way because he does have to grow fast but he was also selected fourteen overall for a reason the so you have to at least give the forty years something and he's been doing a good job that he is a bit reckless doesn't on the ground he feel like he's been every day. And? That's that's just who he is our now. So he's going to have to work through some things, but he's doing a very good job needs progressing and you can't really ask for much more than that three games into the season. So we can take a quick break here, and when we get back, we're going to talk about the offenses Achilles Heel and not just the offense that is the entire team. "Given up probably the most pressures out of all the the forty niners offensive lineman. In Pass, blocking situations. So I feel like I. Don't know he's a really good run locker, but he seems to be a liability. When it comes to pass protection and then you hit the nail on the head with Dan bruns go he hasn't been particularly good either. And you have the on the same side and there's getting. Roasted so. Luckily, you know. Garoppolo. Didn't get hurt worse than he did luckily just an ankle sprain but. Good on him for for staying in the pocket taking shot after shot and delivering strikes on Sunday. I thought he did that better than than week one but yet concern you know we were concerned with the interior of the offensive line right? We were talking about, Ben? Garlan. His Karasu. Or the right guard spot. But if you just that right side of the line now is a concern is that kind of? To absolutely that. So the the big play was at must be remembered thinking steam old over. mullins interception. 'cause mon today it, and that was the ball was just enough behind Gary Mckinnon where he couldn't make the catch news intercepted but classically mcglinchey has had a few of those a game where it might not be as grievous as him getting bowled over but he's just flat out missing. He's whipping. Guys are not elite pass. Yes. Channel Jones's lead white I don't even know who the jets have on hide on either. been concerned mcglinchey by I. I am concerned and I did think Bronco would be better. But yeah, Sunday sunny just wasn't a big game for the off line. will was a little optimistic and moving forward because knowing that Thomas out knowing that bose's out knowing that. Ford is out as well. So the forty niners are going to have to have somebody's young guys in green carry higher step up in play better they did that. So you you were pretty optimistic from what you soften defense lineup. What'd you see you gotta take this with a context ride they're playing the jets, the jets interior offensive line was suspect at best going into the game so I imagine that. You know game I was thinking that the forty niners at least interior defensive line should dominate no matter WHO's out there. So. That's kind of a caveat here but. Nonetheless when you lose a Nick Bosa, you know what was it like ten minutes into the game? Completely changes your game plan, you know this three down player. Now, all of a sudden Roberts all Chris CA- Sarah have to move guys like Kerry Hyder outside continue street played outside. On the edge rushing the passer. I went back and I really wanted to see. Okay. Did the defensive line. Did, they pressure the quarterback were they pushing the offensive line? How did they perform without nick both and obviously SOM- Thomas as well? Two guys that really stood out to me or carry Hyder and Kevin Givens. So Kevin Givens we would say he you know I wasn't there but based on what everyone saying he felt like a training camp like superstar it seemed like he was shining. Former undrafted free agent. and he came away with multiple pressures, multiple plays where he was like pushing the guard back and you know he may not get credit with the tackle or or a sack or whatever but just him pushing the guard back allows other guys to get their. Forces the quarterback to move rider left pushing him into another defender. So I thought you know he played really well, he had a tackle for loss. I, think. Literally, just put the guard right back in a friend girlfriend or had nowhere to go. Kerry Hyder. Another guy that's versatile place inside an outside. There was one play where him in can law ran like a stunt. And hydrocare line about side came around and. Had, a sack I believe. On that play. or or quarterback cakes used me. So those two guys really stood out thought Eric Arms said, played a pretty good game. He was he was quiet week one but he came back. Off the edge had had a sack. Had another pressure that I thought was really good. He had that one play where Sam Darnold had like a screen Armstead batted ballgown. So a lot is going to be expected of those guys Do Jones also Vermont can law. This team's GonNa rely on its depth now moving forward rather than just the superstars in Nick. Bosa. D for no Ronald Blair's one of those guys that. Chris Sarah is GonNa back soon he he was good off the edge last season and they're going to need as much depth as possible there but. There are some promise. Along the offensive line, they're obviously not going to be as good as last year, but I don't think they're gonNA fall to like twenty eighteen levels of ineptitude or they just couldn't get near the quarterback they'll be somewhere in between. It's going to be like an opportunistic defense where you know the to get timely sacks or pressures are. Solemn to blitzer extra Russia or whatever it is but it won't be as good as twenty nineteen but I don't think it will be as bad as twenty eighteen. It was kind of my take away from from Sunday. It'll be somewhere in the middle. So they're not going to be at this level getting pressured by they're not going to be like. Average. So if the average I feel like bill the, they can maintain an average. Discontinuing. Sachs said nobody be fine. So I like to just judge player awful wins. So generally speaking as these things anything anybody that has over three wings is usually has a really good game i. don't think people understand defensive linemen do not win a lot in the NFL. So when they win, it's very good. So did you Jones had the most wins at or? Hydra junior had Kevin Givens at three wins onset blooms as well. So that is very promising. Giovane. Can to what he's disruptive yet one stop and the divas line did a good job of getting stops. At quarterback kids givens had one hydra head. Warm. So very in the background I thought Haider's motor was great. I thought he'd show remoter..

"I think when The forest, you know, went out the door to Indianapolis the You just lost a guy that had a gas tank that was full, almost all the time and just a war Daddy in terms of how many plays he could give you on game day would he would do in practice in terms of the effort level on and not missing anything in terms of any time. So I think it's going to be by committee. I think you're going to see Solomon Thomas, and they're probably starting a defensive tackle on the base. He has had a phenomenal month of football and I can't wait to see Solly finally come into his own and have that translate what he's done in practice toe. To Sunday game day, So I think he'll end up starting. I think in front of Javan Kinlaw, the big fella is Isa Reckon, crew, bro. He is probably the most explosive big man. I've ever laid my eyes on in terms of 653 20. When he's coming off the rock. He is a freight train. He's a human forklift. The only question is when you look at a guy that was a superstar South Carolina had no off season in terms of the case for the 40 Niners to get their hands on him. Can he keep his motor going? And can he keep it going on a 10 play? Dr. That to me is still questionable, because when guys I don't care how big they are, how explosive they are. When they get tired, they get they start playing too high and start becoming a nonfactor. So I think there's very high hopes for him. He is going to record in the backfield. It's just a thing where you're going to have to manage him. I think early on in terms of how many reps you Khun, really count on him. To be at his best in terms of the You know the aerobic work. Kevin Givens has gotten light years better watching him in practice. He's put on good weight, and he's even playing cement. But he's flashing all over the place to the last month of football, and you could say the same thing for the baby. Hope. Continue street. He's a totally different guy. Now is his knees. Finally, right? He had another cleanup. And I think being healthy and being out there for every rep and being in practice with the fellas and going through all that, I think has helped his personality kind of open up a little bit, too. So I think the biggest thing with those young guys and then include Soliah's Just let it go, man, The coach in Christmas, Eric and how he coaches, these guys and how he revs them up, snapped a whistle, relentless effort in pursuit. If you get beat, just, you know and make a mistake. Do it 1000% direct something in the back field. I think if those guys are playing with that mentality And again by committee. They'll be able to fill the shoes. The big shoes of the forced Buckner would get a lot more to go as we continue with with Tim, By the way, you were in preseason form you've dropped. I've counted you only drop one, bro so far. There. That's better. Just got back to back. I feel so much better about it. Well, this counter's too if I say Rose? Yes. Slow. "It's just like, okay, we're going to make him the as paid. But how far do you like? Where does that stop and for both sides, And how do we still be responsible to our team and You know, I think, fortunately, he wanted to be here. We wanted to be here, so we knew it. It might be tough for a little while and in the midst of it, a pandemic broke out, you know, and, ah, a lot of things that left uncertainty, So it kind of took a lot longer than it might have because of that, in and of itself, But then You know, once we got through that had some certainty. Okay, where exactly should this thing in? And at times that got tough. I tell you where it got, you know, eat his agent to the tremendous job. But you know some real breakthroughs is when George came in to my office to Kyle's office and said, This is what's important to me when that happens. You can make progress, and I think that's what we did. We worked through it and I give I give. You know George and his agent Jack back to a lot of credit for sticking with us through it, and we're really glad it's over and that he's a part of us for a long time. John Lynch joining us here in the Tolbert Kruger and Brooke Show, So you mentioned tight ends and safeties were on the low end of the spectrum in terms of compensation now is 2020. You got tight ends making $15 million a year and you got safeties being acquired for two first round's on a third and making $14 million down there in Arizona. No, it's not your job to talk about other teams, but Warren it amazing how one guy could sort of change how things are viewed within within a division. No doubt, no doubt and you know so much of what we do. It's you know, what's the quickest way to success in this league to win your division? And so you build your team with not solely on you know, competing against the people in your division, but sure you're certainly Mindful of that, and Ah ah, like, See another team spend money because we had a special player. So that's that's a good thing. And, you know, I also call my parents from time to time and security at me about 15 years later, a lot a lot of money, but you wouldn't be talking to us. So we'll be losing John. Your guys D line is the strength of that D or released and looking at some of these guys. A street look great. Kevin Givens looks really, really get the Nebraska rookie look good, But you got some injuries there because there's a bunch of guys dinged up, including Blair and others. You get guys, you get a deep group, but I want to get your thoughts on just the group and also Kinlaw to me. Kim Largest looks It's like a mountain of a guy who's going to get you know he's going to command double teams, but he also looks like you know, he's raw and needs to be coached up. And maybe, probably, you know, maybe a two down guide to begin. How do how do you see Kinlaw so far? Had you see the group? So you know, we're thrilled with what we have in Kinlaw and, you know, I think there's been a lot of discussions on what he hasn't been. He's he's. He's alone. Just talked to the offense alignment that tried to block him each day, and they'll tell you and so we're really thrilled with what we have. I think one of the great things that gives you a lot of confidence that You know, First of all the standard in that room that's been set the expectations. They know that we put a lot of our resource is there and they have to deliver, so they operate a certain way. You know if it's not going to come from within that room and and all the pros that are in their Christmas, Eric, you know the coach. He's going to demand it out of them. Each and every day. I think that room nothing's changed from last year. Other than that, the forest Buckner, who was a huge part of it is not here any longer. That was a shame. You know, he represented everything we want to be about and That's hard to let go of a guy like that. But you put the onus on your players a somebody we gotta collectively step up to make up for that and be better. And those guys they're embracing that challenge. There's a lot of Talent in that room. There's a lot of quality and quantity, and that's that's you know, that's kind of how we build our team and they they have to be different makers each week for us to be successful, and they understand that and they they embrace that expectation. Trust me, John. I wasn't that good. And I told my mom I should been bored. 15 years are you going to do is shoot dribble? Now you gotta bang with big guys anymore than more big guy is perfect for me. Ah! Chris, Chris Dudley. Remember him? He probably played against him. He went to my high school and cash way back when he was making like nine million years. He never played. I said, Man, what? Chris said He was a minute. There you go free. Not a good free throw shooter. Couldn't you know? He just I always tell him that he can't shoot it coming down. You gotta get going in any way. Whatever that is. Nine mil a year nine. That is Wow. How's Ah, How's McKinnon looking? Awesome. Yeah. Hey, man, And I couldn't be happier for a guy. You know, I never forget our first year. It was the day that we kind of announced the 53. We're gonna walk through and you know, I'm walking out to the field and boom. He goes down and it's been a long road since and You know that The one thing he's never done is sulk and feel sorry for himself. You know, he's worked his tail off. Kind of against all odds. He's back here and really, really looking good, So we're encouraged by that another strong room. You know, we got a really strong half back room and you know the running backs in general use check and, um, that's that's another strength of our team. So the jet has been tremendous and you can add a lot to what we do. And We're really encouraged to see him out when it counts because he sure has been looking good in training camp. John. It's always a pleasure to talk to you. Thank you again for your time and stay well, we'll check in with you in a couple of weeks. Okay, thanks a lot, thanks to prison. "Lock eyes is a lot better quarterback I'll tell you that right now I guess the old the real concern with Judy it's just that he's a little bit slight he's a little narrow and there's some there's no concerns about his durability but man I mean I never saw this guy this guy played the best conference in America and look T. leads on a field of elite athletes and get weekly we won the political for Wharton twenty eighteen is a two time all American was a five star recruit coming out of Deerfield beach high school in Florida he's just a he's a big time guy in you know in people so he wasn't even the best receiver in his own team what can I mean I come on I mean follow rob what a head of a Miller runs one ahead of him and and demonte was more talk to Smith this year had a maybe a better had several games that were better but I think if you go you know if you go you'll find the call queue bell X. of the world and the guys who are boots on the ground out in the southeastern part of the country to cover the SEC regularly they they so what tell you that there's a million guys around the program that would swear that you do the best you know the festival yeah okay everything well they're going to get a ride I mean there there are a lot of good wide receivers that you can get later in the draft I understand plan the the value of game and I I you know during our mock today ultimately I did check and law but I was assuming that Judy would be off the board you know find out what the real reason is there the interesting thing is that you Alabama guys are both in the in the AFC west you've got Henry Ruggs gone to the raiders and you've got jury duty going to Denver so they're gonna battle it's a great rivalry for years and years and now you're wondering about CD lamb over land has got a lot of wide receivers are they I can't imagine I get a check in here for Dallas take CD lamb and pairing with another trainer she landed a fall in front in from Philly or the Vikings now in range I mean you're you're talking about five or six spots depending Philly could move up five Minnesota move up six and both those teams look at receivers Diggs got traded to buffalo and we saw what happened the eagles with all the injuries at the end of the year so I could see live lamb with lamb falling like this one of those two teams coming up what do you guys think of what the state says about the forty Niners feelings about the guys they had behind deforrest Buckner because I think there were some Elise initial thought that maybe you know Julian Taylor and street and young Kevin givens and you know and maybe throw that you heard Lynch last week say Hey maybe Sally gets a larger role that they maybe felt like they had some pieces that the plugin clearly you know they don't I I just think that there's a drop off a decided drop off after the chop two interior linemen Derek brown giovane can log you know black lock would be next on the list your Nelly at their some other guys that you're looking at there I I I I thought there was a clear line where you could do you know evaluate the wide receivers and say yeah those top three are good but there are a lot of good receivers we can get later in the Jr and they drafted I think that's basically their catalog he's a three down player I mean I think right now you know assuming you could step in and start as a rookie and I think I'll have a great chance to do so I think you're inside guys in your base our our candle and G. J. Jones your leave Erik Armstead at the strong side end with neck and then when you go on the sub packages bring Andy Ford and G. J. comes out I mean that's just in your first group of you're basing your nickel L. lot a lot of pain and they felt of G. Ford you know easily D. Ford could start there and can log could rotate in he's only a rookie but I think they I think they look at him as a three down guy D. J. Jones looks like he has the quickness and they get off to be a better pass rusher in some games he was dominant body was you know a first down bass player so I think the bottom line is they lost a force Buckner and a lot of the replaced a forest Buckner and they did it a lot cheaper by making the trade they made to get catalog now the comparison one thing that may because gonna join us a little bit mail go did it thought they would maybe trade out of this because you did not want the direct comparison between whoever they drafted and drafted just one spot later I mean it's not like we're not going to they just move back one the guy they wanted was can law so now for the rest of him lost career as a forty niner at least he's gonna be directly compared with a great player to force Buckner we're gonna have divine can log on after that in the next segment after the next pick and again the the fourteen under divine Kinlaw defensive tackle South Carolina six five three twenty four a great story and we're going to get it in just a few minutes then Denver fifteen to jury duty short sixteen in Atlanta we just talk about this though defensive tackle jumps to Ross Blacklock was nice player out of TCU but he's it the drop off is big wide receiver still on the board CD lamb Justin Jefferson Denzel mims Brandon are you okay J. even regard KGB handler Michael Pittman I love this question all junior T. Higgins that's nine wide receivers that if you put him on the forty Niners right now would probably start and probably be big time contributor so that's what it comes down to is the drop off at one position to another there's a lot of good ridership us laugh that's a great call John and I'll take it to other guys you didn't mention on that list that I think you're definitely gonna be names they're looking at when they're looking at wide receivers are banned Jefferson from Florida you know a year ago they took the receiver that really stood out above the other receivers at the senior bowl Debo and it worked out well what Jefferson was the receiver down there this year that they had the best week according almost everybody who's there and the other name it's kind of intriguing on how you guys feel about this one but you know chase Claypool it's got crazy measurables and I'm not I I I can't decide how I feel about him but he is already under license here yeah I don't know Greg I'm not really sure what he was gently big fast in the Notre Dame kids typically achieve to their talent level he's intriguing I think they'll look at him that's right I I find intriguing is Ryan Edwards the wide receiver to South Carolina so I mean how many game packs they get a heavier you have T. mobile and I got a job on Kinlaw so can laws got a got a teammate that he knows well and devos Samuel like evil he plays a little angry so land is gonna pick here at sixteen then will a break and then we'll come back and read have giovane Kinlaw defensive tackle South Carolina who was the first pick for the forty Niners if you're just tuning into the came BR six eighty one of four five and six eighty twenty twenty NFL draft special job line Larry Krueger reprieve post game for the forty Niners of course the voice of the forty Niners Greg Papa divine Kinlaza tremendous story so well we'll let him tell the story he's gonna join us in just a few minutes after Atlanta makes their picking Atlantis pick is in so go to in just a second as they're showing everyone is Thomas Dimitroff Arthur blank and Dan Quinn this is interesting guys today that both that they were talking about a corner and they're both the top two corners are off the border they reach for the third best corner as your thirty S. corner Gladney or they could use a pass right here get out of LSU they could go pass rusher here they did a lot defensively pass rush could be it yep epic is sensible find out what Thomas Dimitroff is done with the.

"And we've got a couple of questions number one from a brain dokan wells burrel wanting to know well basically will paul about base bob holt are the here today so why am i am buckholtz are not on the trip so this is how it will play out well fries will be the left tackle chas white will started white tackle kevin givens will start at the fence event right he and and those which the roofing plymouth meeting wants to know about the lines practitioner looks for this week as a union although a is that they've added they practice well now's if you're not in sorting people that at that started game 4 and i think jack that part and derek i think that ports and port that they play so many people here that went something does happen you're not putting somebody absolutely great out there to play no but the only negative about this is the ryan bates may be one in our best offensive lineman in plane that left tackle position which is a very difficult position to place virtue with mcsorley being a righthanded quarterback data's his blindside back there and the pressure that ohio state brought especially in the fourth quarter of the game last week obviously michigan state law did that tapie got her front ford it's another solid unknown mnet much of it past riziq helmet pressure a lotta time to get the get any kind of pressure on a quarterback come with their linebackers but uh i'm sure a lot of coaches be looking out at debt left acquisition today see how well fries end up holding up over there at at left tackle because if he can't then you're gonna have somebody chipindo is where they are going to be give sick he out there may be barkley and you went barkley running routes downfield so that's a critical one on one match about their at the at that leftback position already thanks guys we appreciate dog wells were britian.
