"One? Full commit. Into one, I got really tight and drove up and turned myself. I wanted to squeeze him. I wanted to push him up. We had been trading back and forth all day. And I wanted to push him up for sure, but definitely didn't want to turn myself in. So on the previous restart positions have been reversed for that final restart Chastain took the second and the last restart Chastain took the inside. Larsen took the outside his Chastain had the lead. The restart before Chastain was on the outside and he felt like Lars knit squeezed him into the wall. And so the rules were sort of reversed. How did you see, I guess both of those instances, but in particular, the incident in which both of them got taken out. Well, I thought the incident, I thought what happened when they got when they took each other out, okay? So I'm not going to put the blame on either one of them. They took each other out, was more in line with what Truex and Joey Logano. Truex comes down in the corner, and the car skates up. He pinches joy against out Joey against outside wall, but he's not flush with joy. He's not this way. He's ahead enough that it turns him into the outside wall. Right. And then the last incident, that's why it happened with Ross. Ross, as he said, fully committed, but if Ross had been fully committed side by side, it would have been a different game, but we're also fully committed a half a car length in front and it turned him into the outside wall. On the previous and it gets all complicated when we go back and forth and say previous or this one or that one. Yeah. But when Kyle Larson did it to Chastain, it was wheel to wheel. It was filled with oil. If you go back and look at it, it's fender defender door to door wheel to wheel. There's no offset at them. And that's why that's why they were arguing about who was leading the race because chest pain was a head by like, what, 6 inches, 7 inches just because of where they were at right there. So I think the funny part is when I look at it, is you had the four cars that wrecked. And Joey had run like junk all day long. So let's say that. Let me tell you something. You put Joey Logano inside 5 to go and give him a shot at the win. I don't care if he's in a shoebox. He's going for it, dude. So I've got to say with those last two restarts that the four guys that had a shot to win didn't give anyone an inch. They didn't give anyone a quarter inch. They didn't give anyone an 8th. They didn't give anyone anything. It was take, take, take. Truex was taken, Joey was taken. Larson was taken, you know, Chastain was that's the way it was. Because if you go to the last restart, when lord Byron is on the outside and Kevin Harvick is on the inside. Kevin gives him tons of room. Yeah. You know why? Because Kevin knows by the grace of God he's going to run second in this race because he does not have a second place car. So Kevin gives him one room. So nobody's taken. Yeah. Nobody's taken. Kevin's given at that point in time. So that's the end of the race compared to the other side. But when you've got four drivers, I think, and I include them all in that last scenario. I can't just go to Chastain. I can't just go to Larsen because you got four guys that basically did the same thing just a different times. Plug Chastain because he said, you did it to me once. I'm on the inside next time. I'm going to do it to you. You're not going to sucker punch me again. You're not going to catch me in that bad situation. So I think he learned something there. I think he learned he needed to be on the inside. I think he learned something even though erect is next time if I'm in that position, don't be ahead. Just be even. You know what I mean? Grab it off from the outside that way. So I think you learned something. But and you say this. And listen, I got no qualms. You guys know, I pull for Chastain. And I don't make moms about that. I pull for lord Byron. Joey Logano. But the thing is, once again, once again, is we're in that situation where we're talking about Chastain and why are we talking about him? We're talking about him because he has an opportunity to win a race. We talking about it. If he was 15th or 20th, it'd be a moot point. We wouldn't be talking about this. You know what I mean? If he was back there, racing somebody, we wouldn't be. Again, the problem is, Ross Chastain is here to stay, people. He's here. He showed up. You know what I mean? I mean, he drove through the pack and the first little bit of the race he picked up more positions than anybody else. And I think when you look at passes and you look at things that they do and you look at that team on pit road, that team is a championship contender with a driver that can win races week in and week out, just like Larsen can. Just like Joey Logano can, just like tricks.

"Cal and you can Google me. But I'm not a, I'm not a maximalist. I believe that web two and web three centralized and decentralized can actually live and will live in harmony, where sometimes having a database is fine. And sometimes it makes sense to have a centralized entity that reaps most of the reward. And ends up kind of distributing value in different ways. And I think that has worked. And I think we'll continue to work. And it would be hard for me to see a world where that doesn't happen. But I also believe in many instances and the ones that I'm very passionate about, you will have a decentralized opportunity where maybe it's a decentralized social media product or centralized eBay or some sort of necessity for maybe it's again decentralized voting in parts of the world where we want to make sure that they can vote. So I'm really excited about that future and I'm pumped about how all of us can work together to enable that. So sorry, that was a long answer, but I hope that it made sense. Awesome. That was great, Kevin, given very much enjoyed that. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Just as we finish off this part of the podcast, then just for any, I guess, a web two or web three developers for the developer community, people who are thinking of starting some kind of web three project or maybe they already have one. Just make the case for why they should come and have a look at the kind of tooling that you need block has available and look, please feel free to use some kind of specific use case examples. Yeah, whatever you like. Why are you in a block? Yeah, I love that. I mean, I think there's a couple of things that we like to kind of highlight. One is that we're builders. We're building this for other builders. We're building the technology. We wish existed. We would love to work with the environment with our customers and the community to build what's required. So again, we're very much a team player. We have also worked at the coinbase and twitters of the world. And so we understand the do's and don'ts of mission critical infrastructure. And kind of what is required in order for somebody to trust you, you know, with that infrastructure and so we are thinking about it from a deeply rooted growth way and again, like a mission critical infrastructure way. And I think we are shipping really quickly. We're constantly driving new products and services to the market. We're listening to our customers and moving really nimbly and quickly. So if there's something that you think needs to be built, I would absolutely love for you to reach out. You can reach us at uni block dev, you can find us on Twitter at uni block. And you can just find us anywhere. But I think those are some of the reasons why I would love people to check us out and would love to have them as partners. Awesome. And yeah, I mean, if you develop a yes indeed, just as given said uni block D of heaps of information on the website. So yeah, hey, thanks, Kevin. I reckon we go to a really quick break and then we will come back we'll have some fun we'll finish off and we'll run you through the very famous crypto conversation hot day ground back in one second. All right, we are back and I'm with Kevin Callahan Kevin is the cofounder of uni block collection of blockchain tooling as we have heard. Given that you may or may not know, but I like to finish each crypto conversation podcast with a quick round of rapid fire, crypto conversation, hot takes you up for it. Let's roll, let's go. Let's go, Kevin. So I'm just going to run some questions at you. Just kind of want a hot take style answers is how we do it. The first question for you, Kevin, is a bit of a funny one, but where would you say that you sit on the Bitcoin maximalist to multichain opportunist spectrum? Oh, I love that. It depends on your take of the world. Are you thinking about a kind of like a preserving your assets, then I would say Bitcoin. If you're thinking about all the technological unlocks, then I would say multi chain. Yeah, and that is really the correct answer. Doing different things at this point. Okay, well, given what would you say is your firmest conviction crypto opinion? I fully believe that we are currently in the blockchain is email, email is the world of where we live, and I think we're going to see some incredible unlocks in the next several years that are going to make our current worldview look quaint by comparison. I couldn't agree more. And so, you know, with that in mind, a given Bill Gates famously said that we tend to overestimate what we can accomplish and two years and underestimate what we can accomplish in ten. So if you kind of look ten years forward web three blockchain, whatever you like, what does that stuff to look like? I think it looks like how we look at mobile right now. It's just an easy transfer from web to your using your computer using mobile, everything works seamlessly. It feels very clean. It feels very easy. I think that's where we get. We're seeing the early stages of that. Where there are some really interesting green shoots, but it's still way too hard. And I think we're going to look back and say, oh man, you don't even know if you're moving between blockchain technology or web two technology. You're just you're just cruising on the Internet. For sure. Flip side of that, of course, is a quote by William Gibson who famously said that the future is already here. It's just not evenly distributed. Can you think of an example given of the future being here right now that most people just aren't really aware of it? I mean, yeah, I would say right now, some of us understand you mentioned the blockchain, like multi chain versus Bitcoin versus a couple other things. I think that is very few people understand why you need to have 10,000 different blockchains and tokens and things like that. So I think there are some of us that are really excited about the future, but if you actually sit down over a beer and ask people questions, I think that people a lot. Most people don't fully understand it right now. And I think it's being lost to quote unquote cryptocurrency versus like blockchain technology. Yeah, very much. And NFTs kind of similar thing. It's very much a hot, hot

"Thank you so much We appreciate it Well we got an equity outlook with Phil Orlando from Federated Hermes earlier list Turn around and take a look at the fixed income biz We do that with Kevin uncle send global fixed income co CIO and co head of investment committee at riverfront investment group Kevin I'm looking at the ten year treasury yielding 1.385% today It's up about four basis points But I've got a fed that's talking about tapering I've got a fed that's talking about raising rates What do I do in a fixed income market in 2022 given again where I think the fed is going to take this market Well I think that when you think about fixed income in 2022 you have to think about yields actually going to move higher Our base case for 2022 is that you are going to have the ten year end the year at 2% Now when we think about investing in fixed income next year we don't see that there's going to be a lot of price appreciation It's really going to come from income So you're going to be looking at place like high yield bank loans on things that that nature that are going to be able to give you a little bit more yield and not exceed you out on the duration curve We did see last week traders pull money from the I shares I box high yield corporate bond ETF HYG as it's popularly known for a third week in a row the short interest on I shares ibox and investment grade corporate bond ETF is also near an all time high Why are investors right now at least souring on corporate debt Well I think that investors are souring on corporate debt right now because there is a risk off trade in the market If you look at what happened in the bond market last week you basically had an overreaction in my opinion to the fed talking about moving tapering up Let's remember is not raising rates And that's the big thing that I think that is missing here When you look at the yield curve and what happened over the last few days the bond market would be arguing that the fed is going to make a policy mistake However I believe that what the fed has done is that they bought themselves more time And in the sense that we know that chairman Powell is very data dependent And so by moving up the taper what he's effectively done is he's given himself more time to look at the data the incoming data and we believe that interest rates are inflation is going to peak after the in the first half of next year And then start to moderate And so I think that you won't see as many hikes And so I think that you will see interest rates move higher But not too much higher All right Kevin given that the interest rate outlook given the inflation environment that we do see ourselves in at least here for the short to intermediate term in the corporate bond market for 2022 what sectors are you guys looking at Well I turned to corporates I'm going to continue to look at industrials Specifically like we like machinery and anything that has to do with any type of infrastructure We believe that they're going to do pretty well If we're getting down into the subsectors here But specifically when I'm thinking about fixing income in the corporate investing I also like financials because as interest rates move up financial should do better as they hopefully their loan growth improves and so I think that you'll be able to pick up some extra yield in the investment grade space when you're focusing on financials All right so we saw Goldman Sachs cut U.S. GDP forecasts yesterday because of an omic contract meanwhile other banks are saying oh Macron is going to be a big deal How much does this how much taking a view on this make a difference in your strategy Well I think that the view that we're taking is that on the is not going to be any worse off than the delta variant And what we're seeing so far coming out of South Africa they're reporting that people are getting not getting sick as they did with the other variants So therefore we're not changing our forecast for 2022 at this point because we don't believe that it's going to have a huge effect We've come to the realization that we're going to have to live with these various variants for the foreseeable future and it may be the new norm Hey Kevin thanks so much for joining us Really appreciate getting your thoughts Kevin Nicholson he's global fixed income co CIO co head of investment committee at riverfront investment group And Matt that river that river front is would be the James river in Richmond Virginia and that's where that riverfront would be So this beautiful river there In the great state or Commonwealth of Virginia my former home looking at the markets here I just want to point out So in Germany if you come here with a U.S. license it depends on which state you're from if they'll accept it automatically just give you so if you're from New York forget it You have to take a test again You've got to go through the whole rigmarole If you're from Ohio they'll just give you the license If you're from Virginia it's the only state in America where they'll transfer both car and motorcycle driving privileges Nice Very good Good for Virginia.

"A substitute modifies the committee print to correct several small errors in citations or phrasing. Those corrections include six instances in which the committee parent referred to a clause and the correct term was sub paragraph one correction to make an erroneous reference to monthly wages weekly. Correcting several typographical errors and correcting to internal cross references. One in section 22 of four. I'm sorry. Three internal press references for internal cast references. One in Section two to a 41 in section 22 Oh, five until in section, 2210. The amendment of the nature of a substitute also clarifies that payments made under section 2210 for the year. 2023 so be for one half of the year. Are rather than the full year because benefits begin July 1st 2023. And the payments are normally for full calendar years. That concludes my walk through I'd be happy to answer any technical questions that members of the committee have about the committee prince. Thank you, Miss Miller. Are there any questions about the amendment in the nature of a substitute? Mr Chairman Kevin, given the way that, uh The room is set up. Would you raise your hand, please? So I can. Okay. Let me recognize the gentleman chairman. They'll have some questions for the director, Staff Director here, um Just some points of clarity of the language itself. Yes or no, we don't have five minutes here or so to ask. These questions Got four so under the language in the amendment in the nature of the substitute, does an individual have to be currently currently employed to be eligible to receive a paid leave benefit in order to quality? In order to qualify for benefits. An individual needs to have wages within the most recent quarter for which data is available worthy period following that quarter, so they so they need to have wages. They do not need to be employed at the exact moment of application, but they do need to have wages within the most recent quarter. For which they does. So The answer is no. They don't have to be currently employed. So the second question has high. Have his yes or no? Is it true that more than half of the evidence required to apply for paid family leave, including aspects of their work history? And that they are not using the leave to engage in employment while on leave. Is that Is that correct as well? I'm sorry. Could you repeat that? Sure. So it's basically requiring only self s attestation attestation that they're needing this leave. There's no requirements for them to bring anything end to say that they're taking care of anybody. So again includes this aspects of the work history as you just described in the previous question, and that they are not leaving using this leave to engage in employment while I leave. Course are required to provide documentation to the secretary. Of their of their qualifying reason and to substantiate the qualifying reason as specified by the secretary, and they provide that information under penalty of love for for for fraud. But again, it's only self attested attestation that they're needing This leaves. There's not like a the businesses don't have to create a police force or somebody to go out and verify this and then third. Um yes or no? Does the bill only required to work to provide Their employee was seven days notice prior to taking paid leave under this bill. The bill does require workers to provide their employers with seven days have noticed if they prior to taking paid leave. Okay, So that's that's correct. They do. And then finally, um, just a point of clarification regarding the administration of this As the Treasury provided you with confirmation that it has the internal expertise to fully stand up and administer. This new program is instructed by this legislation. Department of the Treasury is still reviewing the legislation and providing additional technical assistance but are expected. But the members of this position is that Treasury would would acquire new expertise where necessary in order to administer the program well, Because I have an email from them stating they don't have the ability to do that. So I'm not sure how our proceeding with this and we don't even know who's going to administer it. As of this time, I can show you this letter if you'd like to see it, But anyway, that's that's existing my questions. I appreciate your time. Thank you for your explanations. And Mr Chairman. Thank you. Gentlemen. Let me point out that the clock above the screen is not working at the moment. So there will be a gentle tap from the gavel to remind members that were coming down the home stretch of their time having expired. Other questions for Ms Miller. Hearing Now does anyone wish to strike the last word Chairman? Mr Doggett is recognize. We will proceed in the order of seniority for this purpose. Moving back and forth between two sides. Mr. Doggett is recognized to strike the last word. Thank you very much. Mr. Chairman. How do you build back better for American families. By learning from the experience. That we've had by learning from the failures of the last four years, the Republicans have only one cure all in their economic medicine Cabinet, the tax cut elixir no matter what the economic weather. They always claim that more tax cuts for those at the top will trickle down to everyone and that, of course, their tax cuts will pay for themselves when instead all they do is leave us with a mountain of debt and a divisive void between those at the very top. And the rest of America. The pandemic is only highlighted this gap as some at the top have had their best year ever breaking in millions. While so many American families were just trying to keep food on the table, Avoid eviction, death and disability. President Biden has recognized that the Republican top down approach is a failure. The debate over this bill is not about any specific budget number, but about which specific programs can offer the most direct benefit and hope to American families. This legislation begins quite appropriately with Children paid family leave, which can be used, among other things for time with a newborn. A.

"Shut off that mind and go and that's really easy when you feel prepared. How Shanahan, eager to get the party started a party, of course. The upcoming 17 game regular season and we think some postseason for your San Francisco 49 ers called Shanahan. And other various Niners of import spoke today. After after practice of practice, By the way, Let me go ahead. Give this injury report before we hear more from Kyle Shanahan. Fred Warner, a practice that included in full Brandon Aiyuk. Both Ford, Dre Greenlaw and Jason Verrett. Um Trey. Lance, by the way, did practice in limited fashion. He was seen throwing, throwing the ball. And without splint on his index finger that had the microchip and it's so that is good news now for who did not practice. Um it's a list where Guys on it. You don't want to see any guy you expected. Javon Ken Law, Kevin Givens and Emmanuel mostly did not practice along with Jalen Hurd, who may end up on IR To start this season. Cal Shanahan spoke about the Ford and Nick Bosa and says that he's gonna let these guys run. Let that chopper saying he's not going to put those cats on a pitch count. I mean, you know, I don't plan on having pitched council guys. I mean, you plan on guys, you know who you don't play every single play and using the packages and stuff, but There's only so many people up on game day, so the numbers are never set in stone with numbers. She have goals and how many times you plan on being a personnel groupings and stuff like that, But it's not like the preseason where you say this guy is a place and he's out or this guy's 15. Um, It's whatever you have to do to win the game and what you have with your eligibles and packages. But those guys have been on pace to get to this game and played a high level and I love how they looked in training camp. And hopefully they'll continue have three good days of practice and have a good game on Sunday. Let me let me translate this for the people in the bad guys. They're healthy. We playing them next question. Yeah. I mean, there's only as he said. There's only so many roster spots. It will be interesting to see if they keep an extra D line mint up. So they can rotate their their incredibly deep defensive line throughout the game. But I mean, this is this is, you know, I don't want to say this to lay up because the road game in the NFL But this is Kyle Shanahan and a fully stocked offense going up against the NFL's worst defense last year dead last and yards dead last in points. Um so you know this This should be the 40 Niners with a big lead in the 40 Niners running the hell out of the football in the second half. There are no labs. The NFL it is, aren't there are teams that are in survivor pools That will tell you as such What? At a 13 point favorite lost out right on. The Raiders beat the Chiefs last year. Yeah, I mean it, It happens. And, you know, look, there is a positive to, uh, Detroit lands have been the microchip. The Niners will never lose him. They're always gonna know where he is. Absolutely. That's a positive. Absolutely. I think when you wait, there's just run them over. One of them. Supermarket scanners Exactly belongs. Had one of Maybelle arrested Easy. Yeah, yeah, Somebody turns like Snapchat. You always There was no trace that Yeah. Look, I mean, on paper, Yes. This team, uh, shouldn't have a problem with the with the Lions, but it is And we talked about this a couple days ago. It is on the road. And I think that Miyoko, we're talking about it. The teams that there are bad teams at home for openers can do some funny stuff. So I think this game is a little trickier. Then, then, maybe the talent would suggest because you look at it and they should mow the lions. They they that the matchup of their defensive line and Jared Goff. You couldn't ask for much better. Jared Goff is a pocket guy. You put people around his feet and his face. He's inaccurate. He hurries. He doesn't really get out of the pocket in and create a whole lot, so that this should be tailor made. For the 40 Niners. But goofy stuff happens all the time in the NFL and and and we see it, so I I suspect to get the win. I think it'll be probably harder than maybe most would expect. But if they if they won by 21 that wouldn't shock me. Either because that's what the talent would suggest. It's a double digit victory. But yeah, this is a This one's tricky. I mean, you look at it you go. Okay to one else start that would doubt that would That would be your inclination win win, but back to back at the road game in another road game, not coming home for a little bit. I mean, it's important because they have most of their tougher games at home. This year. They're road schedule. Isn't that bad? If I remember correctly, I think the toughest road game for maybe Tennessee. And that's not all the way until I think December they may play Tennessee something like that. But other than that, the road scheduled pretty damn manageable. For these guys. They get the tougher teams at home, which is a good setup for the 40 Niners. But I'm just excited that that it's back starts off tomorrow and then Sunday, we'll have a full slate. Post later games and it's going to be it'll be fun because, unlike two years ago When they made that run to the Super Bowl. There were no expectations that year..

In a limited fashion, but there is a video good video out there. So I'm our good friend Matt. Morocco's Twitter accounts are can be our insider that trey lance spinning footballs. Spinning them well. So Trey Lance, that finger no splint that had the microfracture in it. He's able to practice today in a limited fashion. What does that mean? I don't know. But who did practice today fully? Know what that means. They practice their ass off. The list includes Brandon Aiyuk, who's dealing with a hamstring issue. Aaron Banks Nick Bosa. D Ford. Full participation in today's practice. Drake Greenlaw and Jason Verrett. So there you go. You are in the know as far as the Niners. First practice in advance of their first game of the season, coming up on Sunday against the Detroit Lions, seven o'clock In the A. M. The pre game starts on 8 10. Is it on 18? Tim? "You wanted to use? You went dominating? Is it a naughty word? You can't say. Yeah. Yeah, don't be. What's the word you wanted to say? Well, you know it's a defensive line work, so I had to hesitate. And I was like, Well, maybe I don't want to. You know, I want to be that guy, but no picking somebody getting after. You know if you want, you know, I don't you know, just smashing people in the mouth. Mean, and that's the mentality. You kind of have to have on defense. And every time you line up, I remember Charles Haley. You know, he used to always say every down, you should try to slap someone in their mouth, slap somebody in the mouth. And that was the attitude that we kind of had on our defense. You know, back in the in the nineties, every snap. You were trying to smack someone in the mouth, and that's the way it looked like I know it was pre season and it was against the queues and the three Did you watch this defensive line? I mean, they really got after, and they got after it because they were on the other side of line of screamers their penetrating defense defensive line, and then it messes up everything. And then the passwords comes, but Yeah, you know, smack someone in their mouth, Becky attitude that you have to have plenty defensive line and we know about the edge, guys. You know, we know about Nick and Nick is going to be better than he was. And he's fine. Andy enable Com an ardent key if he's up on Game day. But the inside guys and I don't know where to put Eric Armstead. You know they're listing him as the starting left defensive end. He could certainly start there. But able com can start there. You can slide him inside Javan Qin law now in his second year. He's the biggest guy on the field, and you got Trent Williams on the other side of the ball. D. J. Jones those you're starting tackles, second string tackles Contagious ST Kevin Givens, young guys getting better. Hell, Dennis. They list Zach Kerr as a third string defensive tackle, and I thought he was the best player on the field in August. How many d lineman can be up and Game day? Maybe the first game. You want to have nine up? Yeah. I mean, you know why not? And you know you get and you talk about guys who are just just deep and you know we were talking about you're talking about 2nd and 3rd string is that you have been talking about the first string. I mean, the guys were we haven't even seen and I think I wouldn't give up on Javon Ken Law. I think he's going to be a beast. I think once you get him and Eric Armstead, Dee Ford and Nick Bosa on the field at the same time, I think you have that dominating for and then you're so deep. You know, Zachary, you talk about that. I mean, he my man had what? Four sacks in the preseason, So you know, it's I think I think this defensive line is going to carry. This is they're going to set the tone. That's the way it should be. You shouldn't you should Your tone should be set football games with the defensive line. And you just said it, Papa. I mean, they are so deep. What do they keep in 11? D lineman 12 d lineman What? Mo Hurst went on IR So they've got 10 right now. All right, 10, d lineman. I mean, that is just That is some depth. I mean, if they can stay injury free. I mean, you think about you know if you can rest d forward for two snaps and just have him on the field for third down, you know, just think if you can rest Nick Bosa, imagine those two guys just coming off the bench just to rush the package. I mean, just and you can and you can still have pressure. You know, 1st and 2nd down, especially an interior line with Ken Law and Eric Armstead. If you can get some pressure up the middle Get these teams in third and long and then bring in your Ferraris on the edge and just rush the passer. I'm telling you, I'm excited to see what's going to happen here. If these guys can get healthy, get on the field and play like we saw a couple seasons ago because I remember Papa last To that Super Bowl that Super Bowl season. I mean, just watching these guys on third down, it was like everyone was excited. I mean, you're afraid of the T V or the radio going. Oh, it's 3rd and 38. Here they come. That that What did you call comes? The gold rush Gold rush, So I'm excited. I mean, as a defensive lineman. I'm excited because I think Kyle and John have done a great job of just getting to death and just developing something like Kentavious Street. Developing some of these young kids. DJ Jones has become really good defensive lineman in NFL so I'm excited, and then those guys on offense. They just got to put some Deng points on the board. I love how you know they don't I say I say a safety and we went to nothing. Every game. Denis, that's every game. No, no, no, no. That fantasy, John. It's real football. I want points. That would have been okay. Let's help point more than that. That's all we did. Yeah, I I got to get 30 points. That's right. Satisfied? No, she's I think this offense is capable of scoring, 30 points a game. I mean, I I really believe that to be true. I think it's offensive line is really come together. I think I think Jimmy Garoppolo is going to be fine. But you've got a fantastic running game. You got dynamic receivers, I think. I mean, I think they're capable of putting 30 points up again. Hell, yeah, I agree. At the time, and I agree with you about the running game. I think that everybody is focused on the quarterbacks, and that's fine. But man with the type of things Kyle's done in the past, I think they're gonna think they're going to just run their way past Detroit, But we'll see. We'll see. Well, we'll see. We're going to find out. Yeah. Alright. Seven A.m.. I'll see. You know you'll be there. Oh, boy. Alright. Seven A.m. like seven a.m. in the morning. Okay. What other seven a.m. s? Well that many. A Saturday night for me seven AM Saturday. Diagnosis. It's still Saturday night day. You're the best man. I look forward to good work. It's awesome. Thanks, sir. Yes, sir. How you feeling about about your Knicks tomorrow morning. I think they win. I turn the game off pretty early, painful to watch how you did it. Julius Randle is hurting my feelings. I wish he would remember at a play basketball again because he's just doing like what I would do in pick up games when everyone's taller than me, which is sort of driving the pain and then you're like, Oh, no Tibbits Tibbits. Someone could open Please, Please, please and no one's open. Then you throw jump pass, and and it, you know, ricochets off. Someone had someone saying and goes out of bounds. You look okay. "And by the way, the offseason practices go through phases. Like right now they're in quote. Phase two. Dave, You see me See me doing the air quotes here. Dave Air quote early go phase. Two is what they're in the middle of right now, Interphase two. That's how we're getting this offseason program started. It's the It's the first on field sessions for veterans and rookies together because they have that rookie minicamp. That's where all the Ricky showed up last week and did a little bit of media think they did that Friday to Sunday that normally phase two last like three weeks long, where they're doing this offseason workout stuff practices exercises for all the players are doing on field stuff there like full pads, but the rocking the helmet there jogging around and throwing passes to outer No. Doing it like partial speed. Just Getting their feet wet, getting used to each other seeing each other again, and Theo NFL Players Association initially and said they didn't want all these players doing this. So we weren't sure how many 40 Niners were gonna show up. The 40. Niners have 91 guys on their off season roster, but they'd have not released. How many people were at this practice. We can say this is gonna go all week long this week. They're doing this work out. Before they enter Phase three. Then they get in the O. T A's and the Goth of the mini campus. The only mandatory practices the players have to show up for before the start of the actual practice season. So no reporters air there are on the sidelines and they're not only will be out there are allowed to be out there till OTAs get going again. But Jimmy Garoppolo was there. And George Kittle was there. Fred Water. We're all there yesterday. Also guys like Eric Armstead, Marie's Hirst Art in key. Ah, lot of these guys took videos of themselves. Kevin Givens, who had some trouble this offseason on it is getting that situated. I think he was arrested this offseason in Baltimore and is awaiting the litigation of that He's at the off season workout as well. S so we're looking at a lot of these bigger name players or guys, you you would hope to be out there. A lot of times. This stuff is small potatoes, and it's got so you're like, Yeah, whatever. They should probably be getting their work in. But some of these guys showed up because they're getting paid to show up. Jimmy Garoppolo has $600,000 tied to work it out. It's a bonus for for taking part in these off season workouts, so probably good that they gave Jimmy Garoppolo that incentive. He's there for 600. K s O. It's important, Kyle Shanahan said for him to show up and do this stuff, and apparently, he's been big in the film room. Obviously, we know about Him. Colin Trey Lansing. It'll be nice to have another FCS guy around. I mean, he may just be being a leader, maybe being a teammate. And and that's the most you can ask for. For a guy who just had the heir apparent to his job drafted at number three, just a couple of weeks ago. So some of the guys to pay attention to who are going to be in camper who are there right now? Marqise Lee, who the 40 Niner signed the former Jacksonville Jaguar had his best season in 2016 83 passes 60. Excuse me. 63 passes for 851 yards. For the Jaguars. She actually opted out of last season after about it knee injury in 2019, So he did not play in the in the Cove. It's season in 2020. He could be a dive for the 40 Niners this year. We'll see He's sort of a burner so we'll see how he recovers from that knee injury. And again he would be playing alongside the lights of guys like Richie James. And by the way, they've added some other guys who were here in this this offseason practice camp with the 40 Niners. Check out the wide receivers they brought in. And look, Brandon, I you can indeed Bo Samuel when I've seen people over the last couple of weeks really start toe. Seo ratchet up their hype of Brandon I. You can let some other guys that the 40 Niners drafted in the last two years we haven't seen yet. You're chairman herds and your Juwan Jennings, The kid they drafted last season of the seventh round that we were kind of waiting to see and haven't gotten a look at any of these guys. You Jalen heard two big touchdowns against the Cowboys and the Cowboys game or a Broncos game preseason game in the last two years. Still haven't seen him hit the field yet. So cross him off game. Here's some of the other receivers that Aaron Camp right now, are you Samuel Trench, Sir? Field, Richie James. Travis Benjamin, the former Carolina Panther, right. Travis Benjamin hanging around now. Big body Dude. Marqise Lee, Mohammed Sunu, Jalen Hurd, Jawan Jennings River, Craig Craft, Kevin White and undrafted rookie Austin Watkins. So they're your wide receivers that are hanging out on. Don't forget this is a season where the 40 Niners well, the NFL has changed the rules on the numbers. The players have to wear like it used to be. And I guess until this year at the NFL level you had numbers that were assigned each position. I was wondered how they decided that way back when he's back in the day like you used to have receivers of war, the teens, right and then it was like nobody for a long time. Until when I was a kid. The old guys remember doing it was a Keyshawn Johnson and then Roy Williams didn't number him the Cowboys receiver. Not that happened. Not the basketball coach. Nice work, Dave. Thank you. Rocket number 11. Nicely done s O. They changed the rules now. Where you can have like defensive backs like in college. You have single digit numbers, wide receivers gonna have single digit numbers and by the way, that's gotten much bigger again in the last couple years. Tebow Samuel 19, right, Brandon, I you queers Number eleven's. You've got guys were wearing these smaller numbers personally, I like in 80. Like in 81. I like an 88. I like in 84. I like to 10 born 84, you know, So here's Here's what Some of the jersey number changes are going to be. This year. Two cornerbacks are changing their numbers for the 40 Niners..

I did not see that one coming. Mm, That was not that was that was not part of the country creative screw up, because that's hard. That's hard to do. And it's off against a team like the Islanders because they're coached by Barry Twat was that here's the question. Sounds like it sounds kind of like a smart ass guy. Was that in any way intentional, unintentional or intentional? Well, I've gotta hear one times. I need to know one thing in the five minutes prior to saying that I didn't know what his Web browser was like. Yeah, well, that's kind of the question. I'm asking with Larry and the snake eating snail like, how do you get to that? She just doesn't believe me. I want to know because I'm trying to get back there. That's pretty negative thing. Uh, a 10 point. You just have to call him coach Barry of the Islanders. It's like, you know when someone has a bulging disk just say they have a back injury. Is the more times you you. You poked the bear by saying bulging disc, You know, chance you're going to say bulging? Yeah, it was Steve Levy did that on SportsCenter once he did? Yeah. Better when I thought I thought when he said that I got the greatest Route is recovery. Would have been, uh and he also has a bad back, right? No, credible. Recover. If you drop that, in the end, I got fired. I don't know, but it's incredible Camper Eyes back problems. You know, they don't become front problems. If you catch what I'm saying, if you You know what I mean? Anybody know? Yeah, but I was the last we got one more. I know. We got one more. Let's see your nixes r E O lie lie through his teeth. Texans general manager hit it. I just want to address a couple things here quickly before we get started, eh? So organizationally just want to reiterate our commitment to Shawn Watson. He's had a great impact on this organization. The great impact on a lot of people great impact on the scene. And we look forward the opportunity to spend more time with him here this spring. Once we get started, and you know, we have zero interest in trading the player we have a great plan, Great vision for for him and for this team and his role in our team, and we look forward the opportunity to spend more time with him here this spring, so Yeah, None of that sounded genuine. You might have zero interest in trading to Shawn Watson. But you know what? Seems like he is your interest in playing for you. Good luck with that. Yeah, that's like saying, you know, I really like her. Um, I I think I'd like to take her out. How does she feel? Have we asked her, you know. Exactly. We know the Texans want we want. Want to Shawn's to Shawn Want the Texans? That is the question don't seem like it. Look, I have zero interest. Dating Sophie of Aguirre of Zero interest, So that's going nowhere way did got that out of the way. It's like it's a great, okay, great. So that's great news. Thanks. Appreciate that. I'm sure no one has any questions now that you've cleared that up. Nick. No brother help, So they're trying in the Czech Texans are trying Are they? Is that what we call it? Well, I mean, they're trying to do what? Well, today they hired Pep Hamilton as a quarterback coach Peps thought to be a really good quarterback coach. Um, you know, they hired the Ravens had wide receiver coach who they think is a really good communicator, and I've heard a lot of great things about him. Um, he's getting He's a young coach getting his first opportunity. I mean, that young. He's not a young man, but he's young. As far as Experience, but they're trying to die. That's old but young and experience it's not a quality I'm looking for in my head. Well, he's he's what you said this right? He's a respected Offensive minded coach That's been in the league and has has personal credibility. So I don't I don't know He doesn't have head coaching experience. But you know they're trying to say all the right things, but It seems like to Shawn's mind is made up. I don't know. We haven't heard him speak on it. But Sounds like he wants out and be serious about. It isn't just such an interesting the head coach really is because we never seen this before. Right? This will be the biggest trade in NFL history. Just so interesting Tol Think about what teams like who wouldn't want him? But then what your team looked like with him. Like, what do you have to give up? Get him and I don't know who that is like It was 93 number ones and two players. Yeah, I think it's gonna take at least that I mean, Karev, you're the Niners. Would you give This year's pick 12th overall, the next two first round picks and let's just say for the sake of conversation, Nick Bosa No, no, no Nick Bos and three number ones for two Shining wouldn't do that. No, no, no, I don't think I would, either. So you give up the best player. On your defense That makes your defense go may be on your team. Yeah, and now No, no. Oh, Don't have to really have a team. I'd have to have a unique team and have to have a team that was just loaded with young players. And I would have to have supreme confidence that I could just load it up with Maura Young talent and then you know, with Day three picks, which is a tough thing to do The Niners. Actually, I've done it better than most. If you look at most written Jeff Wilson and Z's and Kevin Givens. They've gotten contributions you know, after guys from they didn't even use a draft pick on so they've done a good job with it, but it's still uphill battle if you give that many number ones in a superstar player Yeah, That's what this thing's. So it's gonna be really interesting to see. See what happens in hell. You gonna get a really good quarterback, right? That doesn't have Ah, anything around him? What do you get? Matthew Stafford. Right, like a really good top line quarterback that just like you and I are we can never goes, never goes anywhere, So it's just you get to Sean watching last year. Yeah. They won four games in the first four games he threw for the most yards in the league. You know, the highest pass, you know, yards per attempt. I mean, it just, you know, at the top of the list and You know, handful of important categories, so I don't know. I just if I have the Niners You know what? The mother lode hits? Yeah, but both in no mother lode is if you somehow Had real confidence that either Trevor Laurence Justin Field Zach Wilson, Matt Jones, Trey Lance, Jamie Newman..

I'm thrilled to do this with you because I think it's important. The mess of 1800 the mess of 18 76. And now the mess of 2021. It is wrapped around the 12th amendment. Precisely And in fact, you have to go all the way back to Rutherford B. Hayes, who was the governor of Ohio of Republican Anabel Ishan ist offended slaves in court on witch. He was able to win that election, the last really contested election that set up the political playbook. That lawmakers tomorrow in both chambers of the Congress, in which Vice President Mike Pence will be overseeing. These are the rules of the road, so to speak from 18 87 because of that 18 86 election. I bring this up because there's a lot of speculation about what Vice President Mike Pence has to do. The 12th amendment is very clear. He has two counts. The electoral votes. He doesn't have to decide he doesn't have to interpret. He's simply has to count the votes. So, for example, if there are five votes before him, his only constitutional obligation is to say that is five votes. And that's incredibly important, given the political pressures of the moment will come in was so interesting here and I don't want to go all founding brothers on you here and Joseph Ellis, but More than any other position in our government. The vice president has been variable since the advent of the nation, whether it's president and vice president from a different party or the vice president of 18 76. How is Vice President? Pence's position different from always seen in other election battles? Well, the difference now is that he's doing so not just with every microphone and camera on him, but with social media feeds, and so the dynamics of this moment and which tomorrow at about 1 P.m., New York time is when these Joint session of Congress will be convened and that you'll have to have a house member as well as a senator. Jointly bring about a an issue with the swing state in order to set up for the two hours of debate on this particular state. And then you'd have to have both chambers have to advance that and so virtually there is zero possibility of the results. Being overturned as a result simply of Democrats operating in one house and Republicans controlling the other. But for vice president Pence, there's 2024 rumbling. So you've got his greatest political asset in the 2024 primary is his allegiance with President Trump from the base perspective. And as a result of that, you've got senators right now who are pushing this photo finish for the vice president in which he is the one that is certifying the election results when quite honestly, the Constitution is very specific about What precisely his role is Kevin, given the fact that we're talking about this in historical terms, what has been the impact on what will be the impact on the Republican Party going forward if some of the incumbents are using this and using their support of Trump as part of the reelection bid is part of their argument. Voters. Well, look, I think Meghan McCain alluded to this on the view. And I'm Yeah, I'm going to bring that up in which she said you had 70 million Americans who were Who voted for President Trump. And so the idea that this was a blowout election is not rooted in fact, and so Republicans are aware of that I would even go one step further, and I would note that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in his proposal last week did include a commission to be looked into for the electoral process. That is now a Republican, Uh, policy proposal coming from the Senate majority leader. The president might not like the mechanism in which the leader proposed that, but it is still on the table. I bring that up because it will be openly debated every which way in in the next 2 to 4 years from Secretary Pompeo should he choose to run for president from the vice President, Senator Cruz? Josh Holly, and the list goes on and on Kevin so really a delicate question. And you're good at this is the vote tomorrow, going to be affected by the pandemic. I know Senator Produce has been sick of Georgia. But are there literally going to be different Mathematics? To what? Is trying to be accomplished by Mr Trump in his Republicans and the certification because people are sick and can't vote in chamber. It's a very important question. I mean, we saw just on the Senate Banking Committee, just a zwelling with regards to the Supreme Court of the United States pick how that played out, which Jamie Cockney Barrett and how members of the judicial committees Had had contracted covert 19. So it's It's a totally real question in the house. They've been voting by proxy and being able to vote Elektronik Lee and so that, to some extent, might be able T o minimum, mitigate some of the risk on that front, but in terms of descended, I mean, it's a very fair question and the IRA just quickly add They've actually set up on set testing site on the Capitol campus toe help go forward with this, because not just for this, though, mind you. But in weeks past that I'm doing this to help mitigate some of the health risk, just like companies all over the world are having to grapple with how tow how to bring back employees and whatnot. In a safe and healthy Web.
