"It broke I guess this was yesterday afternoon maybe yesterday evening about the Batman Matt Reeves New Movie Chris this the film has found one of its stars the kind of films that Scorsese wants to see but there are also audiences who you know will go see these narrative films no matter what else superhero films so it's really I think it's a problem that the studio needs to take more risks and make a variety of different movies they need to market more released them in more than a thousand across the United States so that people actually have a chance to see them without driving an hour to you know to a major city to be able to catch them yeah I mean you know we're talking about like doc foundational issues in the movie going landscape here so this is not something that has like an easy snap your fingers and solve it sort of solution but Chris I'm wondering as the foremost Scorsese fan expert on on the slash from staff what do you make of these comments and he any differences here between the mindset that he sort of espoused a week ago or so so it it it does sound harsher but here's my take on this. Sese spent like the last few years putting together this huge epic movie that he's put his heart and soul into its his best movies ever made that he's ever made it's going to have people talking reunites him with actors he's worked within the past and all anyone wants to ask him about is marvel movies and I feel like if I were him and I kept showing up to press commerce and people kept saying well what about marvel movies who would be like Jesus Christ stop asking me about these movies I don't WanNa talk about them and I feel like a lot of journalists are doing this pretty much intention yeah because they know he's GonNa respond like this and they know that's GonNa get clicks and I get that because clicks our money and that's how we all stay in this business but it's really getting to the point where it's like we know what he thinks we know he does not like these movies why keep asking him at this point yeah it's not it's not really adding much to the conversation if he's just iterating on ideas that he's already said in the past if everybody knows where he stands then there's no point in getting a fresh quote about it but yeah I mean the thing about the narrative films though like I would just say I mean he's more Scorsese if you're listening seventy something year old man listening to slash daily I mean maybe just choose your words a bit more carefully there because it seems like that's that's the thing and I think Peter to like a great debate thing that's where he sort of drew a line I think both of you like were mostly on the same page about like you know of course that this is this guys in he's certainly entitled to it and has proven himself a master of the genre of the format and all of that kind of stuff those are like unquestionable who is Adams but the I think where Peter came down was like using those words this is not cinema and that Superhero movies are not narrative films like the the distinctions there I think are where a lot of people probably GonNa get you know held up and and sort of bothered by some language but in any case let's move on talk about more marvel related things let's talk about the Disney's adventures ride which is coming to think Disneyland Paris and Disney California Adventure her sometime in the next couple of years Brad you and me and I think Jacob talked about this around the time of the twenty three we didn't really know much about this avengers themed ride we knew it was going to be like an e ticket ride like one of Disney's sort of big not a roller coaster roller coaster rides with their top tier sort of attractions and now a little bit more information about this has come out and they're not GONNA get super into this 'cause Peter's theme park guy but I do think it's interesting because one of the imagine here's who worked on the writers recently asked to describe the ride system of this adventures right and he said that it's going to be quote something that we've never seen before and and that's kind of interesting because I think you know you can see him like some concept art that we have up on the site that's the story line of this avengers ride is basically you go in to avengers headquarters and you board the Quin jet to go on a mission with the team and you're equipped with some sort of technology that's offered by the has members but that protection and technology is quickly ripped away presumably by the enemies who are going to be serving as the villains of this ride and then we go on with her an individual flight experience which I don't know if I've seen before and that sort of tracks with these quotes about how the ride system is going to be something else's chair but not in a straight line attached to the same I don't know like parallel bar system like you would for something like Soren B because somebody has specifically asked if this imaginary could compare this red system to soren or something like a flight of passage and he said it's GonNa be you completely unique something that we've never seen before and because of the scale here it's just going to be I don't know like the idea of Disney innovating theme parks bases not a groundbreaking but it is interesting to me that this of injures attraction could be a different type of ride than anything that we've ever seen before so I just thought that was worth mentioning I guess since we're talking about theme park related stuff Brad we learned some stuff about universal studios end the lands that they have coming up what what did we learn recently yes universal studios is opening a new theme park in Beijing and they have revealed the seven lands that will make up the entirety of the theme park some of them are familiar things that have been a part of Universal Studios no and California for a while but there are some new ones that are first time properties being expanded into their own lands at a theme park so the seven lands will be coming through panda land of Awesomeness Transformers Metro base many inland the winning world of Harry Potter Jurassic World I ll Newborn Hollywood boulevard and waterworld that's right waterworld the box office bomb is getting its own theme park area at Universal Studios Yeah there's going to be now obviously the waterworld stunt show has been around for a while but this the show itself is being expanded to fill a whole section of the theme parks which is crazy to me yeah I would think that that kind of stunt show would be you know in a in a sane world that would be replaced with or updated with a totally new piece of intellectual property why on Earth would they double down on waterworld that's not even a movie that like people really talk about I mean I guess people talking about it since it's been what there's been some anniversaries of it recently I think it celebrated its twentieth anniversary not too long ago but what are were from what I understand the stunt show is fantastic you know whether you like the movie or not apparently to very cool show so maybe they just got a way to expand you know the spirit of that show you know to a theme park land and maybe maybe it'll even have you know some like water themed attractions or almost like a water park in a way okay all right so there's your theme park bits for the day in the meantime let's move onto arguably the biggest piece of news news today which is that Kevin has become the chief creative officer at Marvel so now he's going to be overseeing the film TV and publishing the company and this is a pretty big deal we brought on a Slash Ville managing editor Jacob Hall to talk about this Jacob. How's it going it's going okay this is very Christie News Yeah so fi gi was the president of Marvel studios historically he's been in charge of basically just the film stuff I mean obviously he would we know that he's and I guess about to dip his toe into the waters with the Disney plus marvel shows like low ki and Moon Knight and one division and all that kind of stuff but all the companies being restructured and Kevin Kevin Vikings powers are going to be growing substantially so what's happening is Marvel TV is shifting under the Marvel Studios Umbrella and Marvel family entertainment which is like an animation branch of the company is also shifting their and all of the I guess heads of the different divisions of the company are going to be reporting directly to Kevin Feige now so this is a major deal for a bunch of different reasons and Jacomb I know you're like much more hooked into the comics world than probably any of the other members of this podcast are so what do you make of this announcement what do you think this means for the future of Marvel and the ripple effects that this could have elsewhere I know we tend to like how about whether or not Disney being power it was a good thing if superheroes sediments taking over But I believe from the bottom Iheart Kim foggy puts more good into Hollywood than people's rent the wrong lessons is under his watch marvel studios have been successful as bruce movies I generally really like and he has proven to be a man with good creative tastes he got who powered through and Black Panther and Captain Marvel made when people said those never going to happen he's back the right people in the right situations that I like this is a smart collision because Marvel Studios has thrived under his watch but also just the right decision overall for how to make marvel a better more effective you for twenty-first-century audiences and I get I guess the Elvin the room here has perimeter who is been running marvel for over a decade and the stories stories out there are many the basic gist is that he's been he's been always been numbers guy in the game and he always looking at especially instead of women comics don't make money women movies don't won't make money movie starring Nonwhite Actors won't make money let's you know had the cheapest possible offices let's underpaid actors N. stories are legendary here of a man who really tried to Kentucky threatened to leave Marvel after buddy has like promoter over kept America's floors budget and that led to being handed the full reins of Marvel studios.

"I guess my biggest question is now sexy. I don't know I've never asked you this. But what do you like Star Wars Star Wars. I'm not like a huge star wars fan but I like the like the recent movies ochre and I know you're completely like I don't give like Yoda okay all right. That's that's it or like. The cartoon like versions like animated versions network. Now we're seeing the movie like the past few movies that they've made to okay okay so all right so like a passing interest in right okay fair enough so I guess my question is do you guys think that Kevin Feige can save star wars possibly really okay. I don't know about anybody else but it doesn't seem to like it's Patchy doc best the story last blotchy. The storylines are like blotchy like Kinda is here in this is kind of there and then if you throw some water on them they're gonNA bleed in. Maybe make some sense of water yeah. No I know what you mean. Okay and then the other question to that. Do you think he could screw it up more than it already is now know what I guess. It's not only should I ask. Have you seen this movie's. D You enjoy the most recent ones that have just came out in yeah liked it. Okay okay so so you're save what bitch I love this shit. You know it's fucking you mad about okay so the biggest question is is it too late like can he save Star Wars will he fuck it up. More doesn't matter at this point the like or is it too late light like is it just like beyond repair at this point because I mean some people are so adamantly against our wars at this point where they're just like Jesus fucking Christ to come down and make the next movie and I still ain't seeing that bullshit so it's like. Is it too late. I mean I'm always go go see star wars movie just because I'm interested in it but I mean there's argument to be made that the damage has been done like the fans that have been burned our scornful scornful and resilient and very like vindictive to a degree because let me for decades years they bitched him on about the prequel movies like everybody hated them so much and they will never see star wars movie again this any other now obviously that change when they came out with new ones but I could totally see them being like yeah. I don't care who makes like probably so why you can make Mark Hamill Direct Direct Produce Right and starring every fucking character in the movie and I still wouldn't go see that shit so I don't know so so I guess I pose a question into the audience like can can fly you save Star Wars. Will he fuck it up more or is it too late like. Do you even give a shit at this point. I'm I'm curious Nola. Let let me know because I wanNA know if it's just me I am of the mind that he can save it because I in Kevin Fiery Trust until you burn me. I mean you've you've done me right for lands eleven years so I'm not gonNA play but I could see. Some people going like I don't care. I don't want to know more like I'm done like I'm not buying toys. Poise not wearing t shirts like I'm just done the whole thing totally different. They get angry angry well. I mean I could off Ossoff into that category too. I guess but anyway I guess we will see what the future holds all these things that are in Limbo Spiderman Star Wars birds of prey. We we got a whole much shit. "I don't know what he's just one though because it was always to iron news but whatever she has her mallet now instead of the baseball bat though I think she still has the bat but she's using the mallet in this way 'cause I know people complain lying about and Susan as well as a little bit and I'm like who fucking cares man like they change so much about joker and Harley. That's what you about these tattoos and shit like all right yeah. I was hoping that they would somehow get rid of the TAT's that still there. It's still there and it's funny. Hypocrisy people have everybody. Hey so tattoos on the job but no-one complained about him. A Harley did Wal Mart. I'm like shouldn't we be just as angry. Harley has has like a little heart tattoo on her cheek and Shit. I'm like that's not how who am I to say I just grew up watching Batman miniseries but what do honore I mean I had my way she would be in her fucking Harlequin costume the red and the black like that like a little split-second. They showed it in suicide squad her joker dancing. It's like there for a second and has gone. That's why are we not in the okay. I don't know I feel like it's one of those. Those things were like the actor has they're trying to make character into the actor as opposed to having the actor become the character yes. I feel like they're changing changing Harley to be more like what Margot Robbie wants to play as opposed to saying like no this is who you're playing and you have to shut that in talked to like that one thing though she's got the Kinda Bronx New York like gangsters accent thing she did you'd have that she sounds much more like early in this than she ever didn't suicide suicide squad she's like where's the bag is and. I'm just like you just like generic white girl like did it doesn't sound Alex Yeah 'cause she's. I think she's Australian realized that she has like an accident so it was just like whatever do your best genetic white girl American invaluable accident. She's just like we had a bag is and shit and now she's all like yeah missed the J. Now you sound like a New York like Harley. We do which was always weird to me too because I'm like. I don't even think Light Hurley's like about that kind of life you know again she she started off as a psychiatrist and then. I don't know how we got to this point. I mean yes. He broke down. Mentally emotionally exit changed everything. Hey this is the way I normally talked and then I had to change it when I started going to school to be great. I don't know that's I mean like I said that. I don't think I'm necessarily excited for this year but at the same time I don't know we'll probably see it. I mean if it if it came up as an option you WANNA go see this. I'd be like yeah I can like. I'm down to see but not that. I have the want like like okay. I need to see this. It's more of just like okay. I'm down like that's okay me show up at the theater and be like Oh hey so and so's playing and then this Harley coin movies plan which which will choose well. We missed the time for this one or yeah. It's it's Kinda like just an option connor thing. It's not like okay. I really want in like I really need. It's like an option okay. That's fair so yeah. I got to our skill on us. Let's let's go see this because you wanted to say however not specifically attached to Harley but Kinda Batman related so we're going to throw it in there we we are on episode eighty nine a nice nice so that is true. Yes hats off to us being the same episode episode number as what my favorite Batman Yup Yup. I was GonNa say we again have somehow found a way to work Batman into. There's always a way to work Batman Eighty nine and it's because we're on episode eighty nine that is true so I wanted to point that out. This is coming coming out February twenty twenty twenty twenty. I didn't get the exact day. I don't think it relates room. I don't think I don't think released yet date February. You're a twenty twenty so I mean usually that usually that is kind of a red flag in most cases but deadpool approved as you can pull out a movie in February and make it make money in and Nabi terrible so deadpool's the only one that if not the only he's one of the very few view because most movies are released time our garbage but we'll see what happens in February. I guess now wait. Wait wait. I've got it. The movie should be called birds of prey the emancipation of one Harley Quinn because honestly it was also have we got. We've already ruined Batman Superman so why not I'm so relieved even understand. I'm so relieved. Hi tossed and turned for weeks. I know you did I all I can think about is on my how are they. GonNa make this shit work. If spider-man's not in m see you anymore. We're like you can't not to where we're at now no. I I've gone on a ranch. I'm not GonNa go over everything that I pointed out. That would make this not make sense. It's like okay if really sit on think about this if Spiderman on AMC anymore and you can't refer to anything that happened with him why he was an MC none of the suits that he had no you can't use those anymore because those are stark suits happy and may that is gone. You can't use neither of the two villains from his last two movies vulture margin or ministerial because there were both connected to Tony Start you can't you talk about what was the thing called the glasses and the satellites and Shit I forget Tony. Only Tony gave him the the glasses and he controlled like the I had the satellite drones and auto and that's one of my stereo was trying to get from the way you can't refer to any of that so the fact that spider-man's on run for supposedly killing people with those drones that don't exist now katy refer to why he's on the run. It's like everything that they've set up in marvel was ingenious with that and I kept saying they are weaving when they first made the announcement that they were going to give Spiderman into and it was during civil war. I was like like Oh. This is going to be cool. I just thought he'd have a little cameo. Maybe he pop up individuals movie or something but it was gonna be real small and nothing major they integrated him so deeply into the story like a pretty much made Tony Stark his surrogate father where I was just like you can't undo this now like they are. Their whole plan from the beginning is we're going to make him such a part of this shit that if you ever try to take him out drew has completely just rebooting all over like you have to tell your back to Andrew Garfield to come back or somebody like Tom Holland's done he is way too insurance shit and that's what they did but Sony still was like fuck you. I'm taking my ball and I'm going home but thankfully be like don't work without the inflated right. He's a he's a you. Take that ball but you on court to play also fuck you but it's but clear heads have prevailed and Sony and Marvel Disney. He finally came to an agreement to renew the contract for Spiderman being an issue. Now it is tenuous at best the contract way we understand it right now is they are going to do one spiderman movie and he will appear in one movie and that's all we know now what movie that appearance maybe four who fucking knows what happens at the end of Spiderman in three like do we continue with. EMC You like what happens is Spiderman for who fucking knows we don't know yet. It's very tenuous but like Kevin Feige he did come out and make some comments about it and this is the thing that Kinda has me worry because I'm super excited this vitamins back in the AFC. You met same time. I have a sense of dread because unlike the Gombak what cost what's going to happen. What do we sacrifice to make this happen so Kevin Fight. He came out and said Spiderman is a powerful icon and hero whose story court crosses all ages audiences around the globe he he also happens to be the only superhero with super power to cross cinematic universities so as Sony continues to develop their own spidey verse. You never know what surprises the future. You're my whole different him unethical movie he is going to be able to that is literally what he's saying okay okay so he makes it a point to say. Spiderman is the only Superhero Woo has the superpower to cross at university. He is basically in not so many words telling you that don't be surprised if you start seeing spiderman pop up in Venom to the more BS movie censor six movie g. Apparently we're making a madame web movie. It's it's a bunch of just shit. Sony's just like just keep throwing shit out. There goes thick like I know it. You just wait like Nigga loved. Shit can stake enough so so like I did. You see them yeah did did. Did you enjoy some ass. No no no no. I'M NOT GONNA make you change your it's okay. Let's see I like I like did I thought it was. I thought it was like funny and it was it was it was as funny as occurred and we parted just called me. I'm going the Guy Anyway. That's why he was so funny it was. I liked the lobster tank seen. Oh my God. It's like it's slapstick come anyway. I'M NOT GONNA go back. I think at one point he's like we eat you or something or ace. Your spleen yeah heads off up in a corner. He's like what like I don't know anyway so we pretty much have confirmed that Spiderman is GONNA end up spinning off into these other. Sony movies. I is it going to be Tom Holland. Yeah Oh yeah Oh yeah oh yeah because they really ain't any muddy the water and be like two different spider-man's these you know it's going to be Tom Holland because my question was was when he first announced the deal why now like what change because if if if you remember the original deal that they struck was that Sony would finance movies Marvel would produce them as far as creatively and decide what story is going to be an all that and then they would get five percent of the first dollar gross right at the movie makes so first opening day they get five percent of every dollar that so for every dollar they get a nickel shit okay cool they wanted to renegotiate and they came to Sony and was like Hey. We want to do a seventy seventy five twenty five split. Yob Finance Seventy five percent of movie will finance twenty five and then we'll take twenty five percent of the process so he was like Nas on we good on that it was like okay we see you so they came back with all right. We're GONNA do a fifty fifty split on issue. We split the cost of the movie and we will have at a province. Sony really was like fuck q now only did they say fuck you..

Sony and Disney kiss and make up over 'Spider-Man'

"Was revealed this morning that Spiderman will stay in the marvel cinematic universe. What do we know Brad. That's right. Spiderman is back in the marvel cinematic universe at least for the foreseeable future in a surprise announcement today today from both Sony pictures and Walt Disney Studios the two announced that they have struck a new deal Kevin Feige to produce a third film in Spiderman Franchise that will be released on July sixteenth twenty twenty. One with Tom Holland back as Spiderman and on top of that the deal also includes an appearance France by spider man in a future marvel studios film though it has not been named specifically which movie that might be in the press release. Kevin Feige said quote I'm thrilled at spiders journey in the NCAA will continue and I and all of us models are very excited that we get to keep working on it. Spiderman powerful I kind of hero whose story crosses all ages audiences inches around the globe he also happens to be the only hero with a superpower to cross cinematic universes so as Sony continues to develop their own spidey verse. You never know what surprises the future might hold will so that sounds like an interesting hint as to what the future might hold for Spiderman perhaps existing both in the Marlton a medic universe and Dan maybe a separate Spiderman Universe that Sony pictures controls and that makes sense considering Kevin Feige previously hinted that it was likely a crossover with Tom. Holland Spiderman and Tom Hardy's venom would eventually

Marvel's Kevin Feige to visit a galaxy far, far away

"I'm Kim Masters and this is Hollywood breakdown joining me as Matt Bellamy of the Hollywood reporter in Mount. I I I don't want. It's hard to be modest. I had a big story. I'm just going to say it about star wars and it's the irony is I'm hardly an expert what about star wars or the Marvel Universe but even with my lack of expertise. I know enough to know that when marble President Kevin Fi sticks his nose into the star the worst tent. It's a big deal yeah. This was a big deal this week and it's basically the acknowledgement by Disney that the marvel all movies have been an unprecedented success in throughout movie history. I mean twenty three hits in a row no producers ever done that and they are giving a star wars movie to Kevin Fi who runs marvel and I say giving he's going to produce a star wars movie now they're saying he's going to produce a star wars movie with Kathy Kennedy who runs Lucasfilm but if you read between the lines here this is a an acknowledgment that all is not necessarily well in the the Star Wars Universe and they are bringing in someone who has a track record of being able to deliver yeah obviously Kevin Foggy is a big star wars fan. That wouldn't be a surprise to anybody. Who Do you know is has anything to do with the Superhero world that he would love Star Wars and and he has had if they have had big problems in the production of their her films. They've managed to keep it pretty quiet. Somehow make things work whereas with star wars there's just been difficulty and I think part of it is can't be Kennedy's ambition and she you know she wanted to. I think I'm just guessing. She's number told me this she wanted to kind of do a version of what warner sit down with Harry Potter bringing an interesting directors like Cuaron to do the film's but but then it didn't always work out I mean the one of the most dramatic things was in two thousand seventeen. She had to fire or chose to fire directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller when they they were making this prequel film solo because they had a different style it was improvisational and star wars to some degree has so much traditional rounded ear bit locked van whereas Kevin Feige he had the advantage of inventing the world's he was creating sure but this gives us a chance to look at the star wars movies that have been made and while it was unquestionably ably successful relaunch with the force awakens in two thousand fifteen after that you know there was some dicey nece in the universe rogue one effectively the director Gareth Edwards was sidelined and replaced by Tony Gilroy. That was the first spinoff movie it was. A success did over a billion dollars. There was a lot of backstage behind the scenes drama on that film then you had the solo stuff that you just referenced and even on the last Jedi which was successful commercials episode eight there was a lot of fan backlash to that movie because it did things with star wars that were not necessarily in line with mythology. It was a little jokey. Not some people didn't like the Princess Leia all the sudden had magical powers like there were some things that fans didn't like and there was backlash to that movie then on episode nine they had to fire another director Colin trevorrow and bring in J.j Abrams who did force awakens to rescue episode nine so this is not been a smooth mood process even though the films with the exception of Solo have been financially successful. Ma just say it will be a long time before we see the Kevin feige movie because I was told years but I don't know how many I don't mean I think they're I think what they're looking at. Disney Rumored To Be Making New Spider-Man Deal

"It has been a week for <hes> <hes> marvel and sony for disney and sony more week for all of us is what you mean to say yes a lot of ups and downs very emotional highs and emotional china lows but let's let's try to try to keep us to the facts so essentially there's been some news in development in <hes> the the spiderman movies future are the ones that are being co created by <hes> emerson medic universe and sony pictures together. The current deal is that <hes> marvelous taking can up all the production efforts. <hes> and sony is bankrolling most of it ninety nine five five percent of it. <hes> yeah i saw gross goes to marvel marvel right now so that's that's their current deal. Then somebody takes the remaining ninety five right and so i believe the deal was for <hes> <hes> six movies. I want to say five or six movies was five so right but they were going to make more as part of their deal. Oh and now part way through this week. <hes> apparently as reported by deadline kevin feige <hes> approached disney or somebody at disney to renegotiate the terms of that where was that the approach disney sony kevin approached sony okay to renegotiate the asking to renegotiate the deal they wanna they wanna have fifty percent stake so they wanna upfront fifty percent of the cost of production and also take fifty percent of the profits officer they would both payroll fifty percent of making it and then both reap fifty back <hes> <hes> fair. I'll be honest. It does sound super fair. Although although the original terms agreed to for a lengthy period of time was sets of five percent also it's it's worth noting that spider and from from home is sony any pictures of highest grossing movie of all time being stifle so there's that there's that money machine that sony now has that yet exception of five percent. It's there's it's there prophets so i can see why as reported there was an immediate no and then kevin vikings reaction apparent supposedly reportedly was <hes> to say that outwardly say that he has no longer going to be involved with creation of <hes> which is unfortunate was unfortunate now storyteller a time now for for for a hot twenty four hours. That was the news where things ended and we were all sad about it. Everybody was reaching being out to sony on the internet said you know cetera et cetera but of course a lot of deals are missing from that <hes> is the ones that heels that i already explained and also since then we've had some updates where negotiations apparently not over and there is some they like seventy thirty and the approach they want a seventy thirty sony does seventy they do thirty this is the parsons is so interesting to get these behind scenes details because this information we would not have little thing this is at the time of recording when this episode post right might be it might be afraid for some context rather sunday the day after like twenty three yeah yes <hes> yeah so and and and kevin vis a goal with this deal was to have it all set and done on before d twenty three so they can make announcements as they like to do however that did not happen so there is no spider and talk during d. twenty three <hes> another thing to keep in mind but this is a kind of a dozen just mean that sony just moves forward and makes you know the third far far from home or homeland was homecoming series movie. Maybe they could ditch holland and go with a different one because he's not right now. Here's an option so tom holland does not is not contractually obligated anymore right now. Here's an obscene. You shouldn't need to spiderman yeah.

"Into the previous homes and things we'd never thought we'd hear like america's is incredible to me included that without any moments viewed that apart the postal seeing that you absolutely adored and you can you think yeah that was the best thing we could play in the <hes>. Honestly it's almost every moment in the movie. I mean we we we made this movie. We used to joke as we were developing the movie that in this movie it's only the good parts. Let's put in the good parts in in this movie. We want their only to be great parts controversial approach to filmmaking we let's try something different the but for that reason it is every scene was designed to to <hes> pay something off or carry something forward or pale mosh to something or i pay something off so so i i do love almost all of them the the moments and again my you start every movie who've eastern lavar movies start with very few people in a room deciding to make the movie and then only a few more people like in the conference room where we developed this movie. There were two four six. Maybe eight to ten of us at any time then it gets to hundreds of thousands of people involved then it scales back down again again to five or six of cutting room. Yeah that's my favorite part of the process into those both of those questions. There were many times times where more so than any other film. I've worked on where we would watch a scene because we were judging you know whatever the late change was and then we just let it play and then we just have to stop a bit like okay. We've we actually have two so we'd watch quite often fifteen or twenty minute chunks of the film when really we only need to watch five because because we got absorbed into it which is very unusual in the cutting room where you just under the gun and you're trying to make the best that can be and on a few of those moments you could always see who's moment who would be triggered by what moment and you'd see somebody wiping their tears away from there from there is some some louder criers than other other room but the tissues quietly. I pretend like i was about to sneeze or something to grab a tissue and what my is one moment that will get you. Every time was at the tail end of the shot at the wedding when you win. Fury walks in a really because again jeff has done a lot of movies with going back to the first cap <hes> and and sam coming in there having not been in either movie brings with him the legacy of all those other films and alexi of all he had done as an actor and as a character for this world and jeff would always start to get choked up there. I've talked about the portal moment the moment that unexpectedly got me on the day when we were filming it. When we were getting inside the cabin was fabio and the and morgan morgan talking about cheeseburgers and jon favreau is such an amazing human being an amazing director an amazing actor he he was in video village with us in that cabin talking about something joking because he's always joking and he's always boisterous..

"Called the the the fox village it it was an amazing. I'm sure much like the midnight show unless you're square it was the pinnacle of my of my professional life was sitting in the center that theater watching the film on the first showing that thursday night and it was it was overwhelming and every laugh every line and every cheer you're not. We don't take things for granted. We work hard to try to have that. Be the reaction but until you show it to cry. We don't know so at each time something amazing amazing with happened. We'd all we bench. Essentially almost the entire middle there's myself and christmas eve john anthon jeff ford and also vesey was with us and trend and something would happen in the crazy and we'll look up and down the at each other like it worked that twenty minute argument for this paid off awesome so yes that that that reward is is amazing and above and beyond anything most <hes> most host <hes> people dream about because you've seen this movie hundreds of times. I'm guessing you cry at it. Are there any things i haven't created this movie. You've clouded this movie. Shame on you. Do you cry it and game if so which via the first few times when during the dusting infinity war and i mean like the very first assemblies of it when i realized we're doing this and this is this is gonna work. I teared teared up a little bit and then end game almost every version starting with the green screen. Just actors running down and green ramp version of the portal return got me every time every time more so than any of the any of the deaths. I've always been like that right because some point. I know they're not dead. The actors aren't dead. It's not really real like an e._t. When i was a kid i sobbed when he left at the end. I didn't cry when he when he was when he when he writes. I was disturbed in the sewer. I believe me but so so that moment of of of almost joy of them all returning and with me it goes even deeper because it's like holy toledo toledo we've introduced all these actors all we've made movies of all these actors already all these characters and and so that got me a number of times amazing amazing free less question from this lady here in the front row hi. I'm i just pretty damage ties. In question about talking about your emotional moments and game has so many iconic moments that people in cinema with cheering for laughing and just obsolete losing their minds because so so much ties.

Did you know that this wanting to say those two woods everyone wants to it was around that same time of of saying yes we want them all to return and as far as the cavalry and of course that's when caps got to say and and you know just love to to toy with it and not and not say which is totally the right instinct because we didn't want to just become the rallying cry that it is in the comics tallyho every time every every time more than what three of them are together you have to you have to say you need to earn it and so it was very early in the in the as as we were building that ending that they would all come back and he would say it and it's testament to jones chris and steve and chris evans that it was not yell that it was a quiet it wasn't cheered comes quiet moment and then the yellen and search was remember where he goes offenders singers assemble or you have all right okay well. "Enjoy store of giving those seen like scenes out and seeing positive reactions to it and just more for the fans or deface. Take precious about near the version that you haven't kind of makes you not want to things that sometimes <hes> i like sharing it and when there's something like that which we loved and in which was not an easy decision to cut out but was the best decision for the movie. It's a great avenue to say but we'll put it out there people. It's not like no we'll ever see it. There are things that we think nobody should ever see and i think and i think we've just recently been discussing that now. We could start to show some of some some of our less <hes> proud moments. If we do a big giant infinity saga box that we might include i'm assuming you're gonna a by spend the money and by box set with everything in it your fan and it'll take more than a couple of really really bad scenes to to turn you but they're interesting. I like to see a you know there. There's stuff that still pops up from the star wars trilogy occasionally probably not in the last twenty years but that tashi how she stationed for instance that is not great certainly not should be in the movie by love seeing it. I love that shot. It exists and we get to see so usually usually we love putting that stuff out there. There's some things that <hes> we've been too humiliated to show that i think will bring out soon enough an interesting very interesting so that deleted scene that shows where mora goes at the end of the movie so by not included including did you want to include even just that simple shot of her walking away. We looked at it. We thought about it but when you didn't have that that moment <hes> and you just had everyone in their initial reactions wins to tony then cut to agree woman going forget this guy and walking off off camera it didn't it didn't work. Doc is why we added. It is why we added quill looking at the monitor before walks onto the ship because some people have asked why she wasn't dusted given the tony might have thought that she was part of dunces. Contingent is another mass cannot no no. I don't think i don't think it is i think i think she clearly was not. I think i think tony anholt just like. I don't think people came to light. If people were flying in an airplane when they dusted during the snap they didn't return at thirty five thousand feet and fall to their death because smart hulk is smart and when he snapped and you can wish for whatever you want with them all you wish for everybody come back safely done so now you find airplane propellers <hes> and i think tony did a similar thing of have all these people go and then it's up to the omnipotent stones to yes to this sort of yeah. No we've come come back a razor blade convention what's going on. I've got a couple questions this gentleman here. He's weren't lovely gardens a galaxy teacher okay then. How are you good. My question is about those those two words. I know before going into the movie. Everyone wanted to hear avengers assemble and at a midnight screening imax square..

"<hes> joe and anthony say one thing about how a cap and the time line that the end of the movie and how old man steve and just turn up on the bench christie's and other thing kevin feige producer of avengers endgame. What do you say how does the old man steve turn up on the bench at the end is in our timeline just kind of living incognito or does he come from an alternate timeline that is a good question for another time who says uh-huh ohio on who does that who says mosca nada in the force awakens in regard to lewis scours lightsaber. Get in your castle okay ah ever since i heard that line and said i'm gonna use that a lot. Mass cannot unbelievable all right okay so if you have any questions now for kevin. Oh my god that's go straight to the first person i saw this gentleman here in the second room. I i have a question about the <hes> the plotting of the phases as a whole because it's something that probably never been done in movie history before something on that scale when you go on these retreats high how many people are in the room initially plotting all lights and if a surprise comes along something like getting spiderman our national ali knocking on your door for example <unk> high much-desired shake things up and how much you have to change and reply and the very first retreat. There were four of us this most recent recent retreat. We kept to a minimum about ten of us a day. Although some people shifted in and out because i didn't want it to be more than ten in terms terms of that's the exciting part i mean four and a half years ago i did a big unveiling of phase three at a theater in hollywood and and announced everything and then very soon after that we got spiderman. We're like all right now and and i've always said the you know the entire history of the m._s._u. is based on very careful planning and being open to a lot of deviations v._a. Ships from that plan. I find it very helpful to have an end goal in sight how you get there. We're always open to shifting and changing for both those examples that use are good reasons also just a better idea or something in one movie comes up that impacts at another movie in a better in in a better way so the general roadmap is always set what what routes we take off and change and we expect them to change. We want them to because that means that they'll don't get better tastic by the way if you ever need anyone knows credit retreats kevin. I'm not very creative but due to retreat so just commissioner until we find e._s._p._n.'s lady here because the lady in the baseball cap with the glasses sitting next lady in the baseball cap with the glasses. "Had. We had the discussions of of the time travel discussions shins of which ended up in the movie a little bit. Go back in time and kill hitler well. If you do that go back in time kill hitler. You stop a lot of terrible things from i'm happening. Many of us wouldn't exist anymore. Many what has happened over the past seven years wouldn't exist so at what point who is it fair to who are you saving. Who are you losing and we wanted to go different route and have tony stark because of his daughter say bring back everything. Keep everything we gained yeah but still an early really cuts the audience thought when they returned to the compound it was the compound from five years before and everything was good. Okay which is why we add things like like tony stark saying now remember bring everybody back but keep bringing back here to now like we were just like we were like just say say it say and then worked and if people got it and then look at the camera and then wink and just make sure they get it but because of the logic of those things we wanted which is why basically the skull moment didn't end up okay because that didn't work in terms of changing the pass changing the future and how you dealt l. within one point there was a giant sort of <hes> <hes> magical line that separated the compound half the compound was untouched in one reality saudi and the other half the compound was this hellish area ruled by fans love is and he rolled the skull between them okay to to cap. I didn't do that but that led to questions of which snap brings everybody back and we don't want them all to come back with the first nap again and kristen steve. I'm sure talked about this more than more than i can but it led to a relatively unique construct where there were where we we needed to snaps and and the attack of thanos happening right after that first one so that you don't necessarily know the answer there was some you do know because his phone rings and yes. He still has cell phone service for his wife who put away five years before there'd be a special blip. The the basically says it worked any and amazon says i think it works then their so annihilated that you actually really forget about that. You're actually forget that it worked and it took some time in the cutting room and even with a score to get that to happen but getting to a point where steve steve rogers was doing what he always does which is get back up. Try to do it all day. One man against the world against the universe of thanasis armies and you have forgotten that that snap worked and their ship on a hero somewhere waiting to come back and and again in kristen steve calling back on your left was another moment early on words like well. That's genius we have we have to do that and then it was was that a number of times much of it in the film to get the order right and to get the audience to understand that these reporters that they weren't stepping through time that was the other thing people thought in early cuts of the movie that these people were coming from the time right at that moment as opposed to coming from the locations <hes> <hes> but i'm very pleased with how it turned out so it wasn't something for example the visual continuity of doctor strange's portal's wasn't something that you talked about with scott eriksson say two thousand fifteen thousand sixteen make them look like this because we're going to be using that a shorthand three years down the line. No no it was it was as we we wanted to do them and doctor strange because that's when a cool things got strange can do and then and then once we've done at once it's in the it goes in the toolbox and and went developing another movie. We have those tools and i think that's how came back. How are we going to get people back from this plant in that world network. They'll just portal back. Doctor had a very busy ten minutes after he was brought back. I'm guessing lasting for me before threw it open to you guys..

"It's nice for now. Are you going to release infinity war until it overtakes in game. I just have this arms race. Like avatar will go go. Yes but here's congratulations on that. Were you keeping an eye on things. I'm sure you were as it got closer and closer and closer to overtaken avatars record. Yes i i would not say <hes> every day. We weren't refreshing. You weren't going every day and there were it sort of looked like it was going to happen. You know in this business. I guess any business when people are trying to predict the future. They're always wrong so they go opening. Weekend was so far above in the states so far above any expectation i was. I was just hoping that we do even a dollar more than infinity war. We just did a dollar more than the opening weekend anymore. That would have been yeah which by the way was the biggest opening. It's time so i was saying as long as it's the opening of all time i'll be happy. Plus beat it by one hundred million was astounding and you didn't really know how to process that at any rate people start going oh we we've beat for sure we'd beat avatar no problem then four weeks later peter would have definitely not eating it but it but it's solid run and i always say that's good because at least they'll be some point in the process where we can be disappointed ah but alas here we are serious and it <hes> crossed which is which is amazing astounding for something that's so many people work so hard on for so long and <hes> and my biggest fear during this process was always not that it wouldn't be the big move time of course that honestly never entered our head again it was that infinity war would do bigger than the first avengers endgame would do bigger than any war because as you build things up up you want them to be well received and you know there are some franchises and i wouldn't mention anyway. I can't think of them where where where the final one doesn't do you as well as the others yeah and you're like big finale tada flop so for about four five years. I've been worrying about that now. I don't have have to anymore that start at the beginning of of end game because <hes> this movie came as a package deal but <hes> you can see this at at the same time with the rooster brothers and with mark mcfeely at the same time as infinity war so you knew you were going into this movie with the snap and with the end if infinity warn everything that uh entailed a one point you start planning this movie in relation to that same time they were conceived together <hes> for the most part and there we're times as in in a in a blue sky. Anything's possible <hes> we've got all the time in the world <hes> period of the movie which every movie has a short period. That's like that we were developing both of these at the same time as the realities the cruel realities of the real world start to come in and it's like you have to start filming one of these movies and then have to release one of these movies then then we started focusing more on a infinity war until i got finished and then went back to focusing on or at least got started art and then went back to focusing on endgame but i in in the overall they were conceived together and at the same time this is around two thousand and sixteen around the time of civil war. I guess we had a retreat. We go on we've done. We just did our seventh creative..

Spider-Man Is Out of the MCU and Movies Are in a State of IP Crisis.

"Yesterday. There was some public negotiating going on between two movie corporations. One of them is disney and one of them is sony. Amanda can't even she's like. She can't even look at this going. I do unfortunately okay. We've talked about spiderman quite a few times. Actually on this show and spider man was was the political football of the movie industry yesterday because sony owns the rights to make spiderman spiderman movies marvel has been helping them do so and generating a small profit and working closely with kevin feige who oversees marvel studios and as the most successful producer probably only in the history of hollywood if we're being honest and it seems that didn't even wait. Let's pause on that for one second here. We go about it. Okay never had remiss he's going to have so many achievement awards named after him. It's truly well. That's if we still have movies by the time we get to his age of having achievement awards with his name on it you said and it and it seems the kevin foggy at least for now will not be involved in making spiderman movies normal marvel. It sounds like the <hes> tom holland. Version of spider man is going to a strictly sony product now in theory this is scary for fans of spiderman and there was literally a hashtag wakatsuki sony tony oh no trend yesterday people wanted to boycott sony because they could not come to an agreement on giving moral more money for the thing that they make that is a little bit confusing now. What will this mean. Practically it means that you probably won't see captain america in a movie with spider mingling if they don't come to an agreement i think those of us who are a little bit more more cynical and perhaps a little bit more savvy about this understand that they may actually come to an agreement here and at this impasse is public theater in an effort to show the world just how much they care about tom hall and being able to appear alongside. I don't know thor going forward the point here though is not whether or not we get to see spiderman in an avengers movie movie or whatever the point is. This is how movies get made. There was another bit of news. Yesterday i don't know if you saw this as well with that the matrix force coming from lana wachowski and by herself by herself. Lana has split creatively from lily which hausky her sister and is it amicable. I we don't know the the details of that. We know that this is important to me looking to me. If i'm gonna tell him not and i'm just like you just told me to grow up. I know this is life little torp welcome to what it's like to be on the spot and that is the question ideas services or whatever or american movies a bad dream right now is kind of a reasonable question to ask in the face of this because it now feels like we we got what we paid for. We rewarded everybody by going. All the superhero movies going all of the franchise blockbusters. Those are the things that drive the industry in a meaningful way. We have this conversation precision routinely on the show and i couldn't help but look at those two pieces of information which i think hit within twenty minutes of one another and couldn't help but feel a little little bit of a an existential chaos around what we're doing this for and that's not to say that i don't like those movies. I actually liked the idea of but that's another underneath movie. That's that's. I know it's not the point so how do you how do you both respond to these paired pieces of information. I told you so. I mean welcome to chaos it subsides after awhile. Can you get used to the natural order of things and you're just like well. I will go see tom holland spiderman and at least he's adorable and you find the things you like. I guess

'Star Wars Resistance' to end with season 2; trailer revealed

"Universe or do you think is going to be one of those things where jeff just keeps going around saying hashtag. It's all connected and in my guess is that it's going to be a whole separate thing still because i feel like kevin feige. Would you know if it all really is going need to be connected that would fall under the studios purview but this sounds like marvel. T._v. is still off playing its own corner of the playground and he he's hinted that there are other characters that live in that same category which are still to come so we don't know exactly what that means but <hes> i guess you can speculate away if you care about that little corner of the playground but that's the problem like i don't know with with the marvel studios stuff being integrated into the disney zinni plus stream. I just don't know if there's a place for marvel t._v. Shows anymore yeah yeah okay. Let's let's move on to star wars. Let's talk star wars resistance. They lose foam dropped the trailer for this for season. Two of the show <hes> this morning also like hidden in this trailer was the announcement that this is gonna be the final season <hes> which is kind of funny and sad because there's a star wars t._v. Show that's on on the air that number one. I don't care about mister number. One star wars fan number two has been canceled was like cancel. You know wasn't even this big news item that it was canceled. It was just like you know in the press release of this trailer released and <hes> they did so you can see the trailer online online. The Ripple Effect of Avengers: Endgame

"Of the Walt Disney company opened this morning on an all time high probably not a surprise. It's down a little bit now. But probably not surprise it had that strong open because vendors endgame broke just about every box office record under the sun over the weekend. One point two billion dollars globally. I don't know. But you I went and saw it I contributed to that. I didn't I thought it was going to have a great weekend. I didn't think it going to be this great. I didn't see it. But I am not surprised by these numbers. So. When we look at a number like this. I think it is tempting to just oh my gosh. This this is amazing. But the context for investors when it comes to Disney and movies is always looking at the studios part of the business, which is it's not the biggest part of the business by along shot. Right, right. It's all the little third parties synergies that you get from having these amazing characters. So that's the thing. I wanted to get to was look go back to August two thousand nine Disney buys marvel for four billion billion dollars. Let's say that again, they bought marvel for four billion dollars. And now I'm wondering how big has the ripple effect Ben because it seems like for people who and I've gotten a little bit of this on Twitter because I tweeted something about what a great weekend. It wasn't a couple people came back. Well, you know, the studio's business it's not that big. Yeah. But they also this is something that feeds not only. Into consumer products, licensing deals, t shirts toys at cetera. But it's got to help with the launch of Disney. Plus, doesn't it definitely? I mean, I think it just shows Disney's dominance in that in that space. Right. Even that's not just kids driving that one point two billion dollars worldwide, though, my kids didn't pay for the ticket. Right, right. That's everyone rate. So that's future visits to Disneyland. That's t shirts. That's toys. That's games. That's. I mean, that's going to be huge that's gonna be huge for them. So I went back and looked at a couple of things that the motley fool was writing at the time of that acquisition. And I was asking was it too much. There was a little bit of that. And I think that's I think that's a fair question. I think that's a natural question anytime. There's right, but but any any acquisition any industry, I think it's fair to be like, okay. Was this a good price? There was not a lot of that. I was able to. There was not a lot of people saying that's outrageous that they're paying that much. What I was reminded of though was part of the case for acquiring marvel was boys. I was reminded of the fact that they wanted to reach that younger. Boy, demographic of just how dependent Disney was on princesses to drive their films and to drive the parks experience. And obviously the decision to acquire marvel on top of the decision to acquire Pixar has just been amazing. I mean, I think also when you think about sort of a broader competitive landscape perspective, Disney really has three key competitive advantages. So it's this brand the IP the characters things like that that can be utilized throughout all aspects of the business. But it's also there bub average profitability and they're low risk balance sheet. So I think one of the key points that this really demonstrates. You know, I think for a long time we've seen really cheap money. So you've seen a lot of competitors. Do well and thrive in the face of Disney or keep up with Disney, but as debt becomes more expensive, and it becomes harder for competitors to actually finance those projects you see Disney where they can continue to do this. There's no reason that this is gonna stop for Disney just because of a change in sort of economic interest rate structure. So I think it doesn't just show that his knees. Good at it. But it really solidifies sort of dominance in that space for them. Bob Eiger is the with. Disney's obviously a well known. I would argue one of the better known CEO's impart because it's Disney in part because of the amazing job. He's done far less. Well known. I would argue is Kevin fi who is the president of marvel studios and has been for about a dozen years or so and. When you think about what has been accomplished under his leadership? And I say this is Disney shareholder let Kevin Feige whatever he wants. I mean, maybe he already is doing whatever he wants. But that's a track. I mean, right, right. That's an incredible track. Record. He is a master. Right. And God help whoever is the next CEO at Disney because the magic happen. The foot the. The shoes. That's what I meant to say. The shoes that Bob idir is leaving. When you look at the acquisitions of Pixar Star Wars marvel

The Mouse has officially swallowed the Fox

"I'm Kim masters, and this is the Hollywood breakdown joining me as Matt Bellamy of the Hollywood reporter and Matt as of this past week. The mouse swallowed the FOX, it's a cliche. I'm going to say it. Anyway, we had a cover of a mouse with a with a Foxtail hanging out of his mouth awhile back. This is a huge acquisition. It redraws the landscape of Hollywood. Absolutely. This is now a five studio town instead of a six studio town, and who knows what else is in the works. I mean, right now, I think these knee is probably the most powerful studio that has ever existed in Hollywood, Lee, content breath, everything from the Simpsons to marvel to family guy, and you know, the entire avatar franchise Star Wars, and you name it Disney has it now, and it's just going to be really difficult for other traditional studios to compete. Yeah. I mean, just at the box office alone. We have you know. You know, we recently had a story of it. It's a death star with with movies that are just a movie schedule release schedule that is Disney was already daunting before they had FOX. And now they're more daunting. The X men will return to the marvel fold FOX had a lot of plans for X men, which are now in the scrap heap. Obviously, Kevin Feige at knows what he's doing with marvel. Deadpool will move over. But we're we're looking at you know, broadly now is the emergence of two companies one is this behemoth that was formed by this merger. The other is the old FOX assets, which includes Fox News and the Fox Broadcasting channel. But not the TV studio that made some of the shows that were on that channel that channel is likely to be emphasizing things like sports and live events in reality. And meanwhile, this whole thing the the the object of the game here. Disney is moving into the streaming present slash. Future. I mean, you seen the rise of net flicks and some competitors to net. Flix Disney looks to be a death star when it comes to streaming as well. But this is going to be an expensive over the course of years and culturally challenging in every way, the sense of the word challenging process for Disney to try to establish itself as as something that you absolutely have to have. But I think if anyone has the brand I mean for long years people have said, Disney is the only brand that really matters in Hollywood. And I think that continues to be true, not to mention the thousands of layoffs that are going to come from this anywhere from four thousand to as many as ten thousand some analysts believe, yeah, there's going to be so much dislocation so many people at FOX there's just as even a geographical thing right now, we're all of FOX's situated in you know, in west LA on on PICO boulevard. And then there's Disney in Burbank, and there are people who are sort of split between the two and trying to go back and forth. I mean, this is going to be a digest. Question a challenge. And you know, it was thinking about Bob Eiger that chairman and CEO of Disney, and he has said he's going to retire several times now in kick that can down the road with this thing going on. I don't see a world in which he's a imminently retiring. I mean, he has to steer through this thing. And it's not a matter of a year or two no and the level of executive talent. That is now in the Disney company does give them some potential successors. But I don't think anyone is going to seem as an era parent intil, they approved themselves within this new company new landscape and as the shape of the new company emerges. Thank you. Thank you. That's Matt Bellamy editorial director of the Hollywood reporter. He joins me this Monday at two o'clock on the business. I'm Kim masters, and this is the Hollywood breakdown.

"Vision to life. Be it the Thawra be it the lion. King beat you know, all of his projects have that super quality of storytelling. I have no doubts that things will move forward with him. And when you look at just the overall arc of where they're going the marvel cinematic universe is going to have to do a whole lot. To let me down. They really are. I mean, you've got news coming out now about them, adding an actress from from west to show from thirteen reasons why Catherine Langford has been added. You know, we always talk about the individuals who've been snapped out after the final snap. She's a new character. That's being added to avengers for her role. Many right now are suspecting that she is going to be Kate Bishop who is a character who took on the mantle of Hawkeye within the character within a cast of the young avengers. That were like like totally of scarlet witch, and and a descendant of Isaiah. Forgive me for getting his name as a Walker the first captain America, who was an experiment of Tuskegee type experiment, where they Spearman on African American soldiers and created the first super soldier, and and his grant Grey's great grandson got a hold of the formula became captain America, you'd be captured black America black America. And so now the thing is became Bishop. Why because there's also news of Jeremy renner's Hawkeye character getting an offshoot film that goes into some more real cloak and dagger type spies stuff after the scarlet witch film this coming out. So a lot of people are thinking that that is a calf is going to be introduced at. There's also, you know, scenes of Gwyneth Paltrow and rescue armor out there. So there's a lot that's going on in this world and Kevin Feige with his wild self is now talking about dead pool survived the Thunnel snap. Why are you saying this to hype us up, sir? If dead pool should make an appearance. In ventures four. I will be done in a good way. If they if if they were able to bring those properties together not impossible. Yes, not impossible. And here's why it's not impossible. A lot of individuals were like, there's no way dead can be connected to the Morrison matter universe because of his rated r nature. This December they have actually reshot redone and done new scenes to release what a PG thirteen deadpool. Deadpool doesn't have to enter the MC you Cussing and doing all the visual humor which earned him. An are. It could just a short appearance. Whereas like, hey, you're gonna help me cliff the time line, right, right? As time traveling. I nine is you introduce deadpool Kevin Feige saying he's the fish because he was in a different part of the the world. I you don't know. Will he says also I've been waiting eighteen years to try to do something with deadpool? You're not waiting eighteen years for no reason, sir. "We are not here to defend his jokes. Of many years ago, but rather to share our experience having spent many years together, onset making guardians of the galaxy one and two. The character he has shown in the wake of his firing is consistent with the man. He was everyday onset and his apology. Now in from years ago, when I addressing these remarks, we believe from the heart, a heart, we all know trust and love in casting each of us to help him tell the story of misfits who find redemption. He changed our lives forever. We believe that theme of redemption has never been more relevant than now. Each of us looks forward to working with our friend, James again in the future. His story isn't over not by a long shot. There is little due process in the court of public opinion. Jane's is likely not the last person to be put on trial given the growing political divide in this country. It's safe to say instances like this will continue, although we hope Americans from across the political spectrum can ease up on the character assassination and stop weaponising mob and tally. It is our hope that what has transpired can serve as an example for all of us to realize the enormous responsibility. We have to ourselves into each other regarding the use of our written words when each win we ex-team in digital stone. That we, as a society may learn from this experience and in the future, we will think twice before we decide what we want to express and insole learning perhaps can harness this capability to help and he'll instead of hurting each other. Thank you for taking the time to read our words. You're already in the galaxy, then it signed by Chris Pratt, Zoe, Saldana, Dave Batista, Karen Gillian Bradley, Cooper, Sean Gunn, VIN diesel palm clementine and Michael Rooker. So very well written Judd? No, and I make sense because I was kind of Saudi for bit because I was like, you know, seem Batista's like only one really come into his side and like recipe cast want to get caught up in this career. Like is just starting to really take off like crisper was like a loss on his waiting shit. Like I'm getting, you know, big movie checks. The can't fuck ups, dressy park money, man. Which is also through and I fucking this up or. No. I'm sorry, universal. I'm sorry. Another franchise so fast and furious and drastic. It'd probably the only things left at Disney. Got, but I mean, I was kind of Saudi in the beginning because I was like, you know, it doesn't really feel like nobody. Kevin Feige has today still not said anything about this shit because the the executive over the movie division of Disney. He was the one who made the statement and they were firing, James gone and everything else in. That's just been it. No-one setting thing since then, no one on the marvel SAI no-one sitting out Rousseau brothers, not any produces over there. Nobody. So this is the first time you know, like we've gotten a big just outright. Okay. We're dressing this from anybody on marvel Cy and I agree with what you said. It was well thought out. It was, you know. Acknowledged that what he did was wrong, right? But then also talked about, you know how his character has been all they've known him. People change shit like that. And I agree. Like I said, I am of the mind of if you were gonna hold this against him, you should never brought him on in the first place. Right? What if you're going to bring him on, don't then throw him under the bus. The moment somebody tries to use this shit against him. He knew that shit was out there. You knew it could have been issue, you should. It should have been like a. I don't know a thing in his contract. You got to get rid of all this other shady questionable shit that you said in the pass from all social media. So this can't come back to bite us in the ass late right now. Great. Somebody could a screen shot at the shit fucking know everybody screen shots, everything, right. But I mean, I'm just saying I, if you're gonna if you're gonna act like you have a problem with it, then that should have been your stance from day one and you should never hired him in the first, right?.
