"A heavy hit on that kevin head qualified for each and every race. The finishes weren't exactly spectacular but even making the races i mentioned earlier. Even making the starting grid was an accomplishment and kevin had driven for david riddling in atlanta as a fill in role and then at bristol they talk again and kevin winds up driving for david the rest of the nineteen ninety six season and the results were pretty much immediate that team click right off the bat. He got ten top ten finishes with that team including a fourth at myrtle. Beach a second at michigan and finally a win in the season for now. That's quite a change from a guy who announced his team. There were run seven races. And i was going to be it now. This is quite a turnaround. Amazing if you're looking at it. Well i think kid and made a name for himself just qualify. You're like we discussed. It was difficult just making the grief by getting a victory now. That's even more not it'll be because we have heard in the past drivers get a rep as a good qualifier. But don't do much in the race will cabin. This time out did quite the opposite crossing well and winning a race and having a very good season we're going to talk more about the homestead win in depth in our second segment. But here's what kevin had to say about the aftermath of homestead. He said in a way that he almost wish that he hadn't won that rex. Because here's what happened. According to kevin. David wanted to start another team after one in homestead and one thing led to another. He and david parted ways late in the nineteen ninety seven seats now. That's one thing drivers and teams wonder separate ways. That happens basically every day. But i mean he had may spawn out and half turned over when he told me about. David rid links legal trouble and him being in jail rotten. I did not know that there are certainly.

"We will solve it right here on the show throughout the show. And always happy to do that. Joining me now the CEO of Hornblower, Kevin David, Thanks for joining us. Thanks for having me Peter. Now, Hornblowers. For those people who don't know is more than just one company. When you think about it. I knew Hornblower and still know it as the votes that I see in Los Angeles and the Hudson and doing the day tours and stuff like that, But it's much bigger than that. Yeah, absolutely, Peter. So we can think about Hornblowers, the parent company name and we really go to business as to market is two different brands. We go as American Queen Steamboat Company, which we're on right now, as well as city. Experiences, which is a series of guided tours. Amazing kind of sightseeing and dining experiences out in the water and on land. Well, let's just talk about what's going on in our country right now, as the vaccination levels increased by the day, even though they slowed a little bit. Americans have not hesitated at all and getting back to rediscover their country, and that would include America's rivers. Absolutely. We're seeing it with our guests that folks really want to be out they want. They want to feel free again. So whether it's doing it, they want to breathe. Absolutely want to breathe. They want to do a dining and sightseeing tour They want to. They want to go do whale watching. They want to do a guided tour. They want to be out here on the river, sailing and feeling alive again. And so many of my own friends don't realize that it's not just the Mississippi River. It's the Snake River. You have the Columbia River and where we are right now going from the Monongahela River all the way from Pittsburgh to Louisville. Absolutely so it's it's America's rivers. You said of Mississippi, the upper and lower the the Ohio including the Monongahela as well as the Colombian snake, and then we also go into the Great Lakes and up to Alaska as well and our other brand victory and for people who really want to rediscover their own country, their own backyard. This is not a bad way to do it and not a bad speed to do it because you're really going along waterways in which they built America, You know, I go back to the days of Dwight Eisenhower when he said America didn't build the interstate highways, interstate Highways built America. I said, Hold on, Let's back up from that America didn't build the railroads, the rail. Was built America and to the same notion. So did the riverboats. Absolutely. The rivers were the first kind of mode of transportation around the country. And there's just amazing things to see on the rivers and in the in the U. S. And like folks are starting to rediscover that now, as they look for things to get out and do and see what we can do in their own backyard and what you see along the river, and it's almost without exception. And whether you're in Natchez, Mississippi, or you're in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, our communities that you would normally never see on an interstate. You'd never see them near an airport. You never see them in a Sure, because they've always been there. People have to discover them again. Absolutely rich history at every one of the stops along the river and great stories and great excursions to learn about that history. So let's talk a little macro here and that is, you know, we've had 15 months of economic despair in terms of the travel and tourism at ST the number one industry in the world. We're seeing rules change every day. What are your rules? So our rules or whatever the rules are for any local geography or any local, state and federal government that gives it to us. And so we were good luck with that. Yeah, we spend a lot of time understanding kind of what? What The rules are and what we can and cannot do. But ultimately we're providing a very safe environment for our guests. 100% vaccination on our on our river cruise 100% vaccination and again in open water, and you have the ability in which to be outside and you've seen the latest latest guidance from the C D. C is Things out in the open air If you've been vaccinated, that is that they say it should be safe. And of course, you're not speeding through here. The what Most you're going is maybe six or seven knots. It is a nice relaxing cruise. You see, beautiful landscape around you. But you can get out and enjoy the air. You can be in one of our one of our lounges or one of our libraries and just enjoy a nice movement down the river. And of course, it's Americana. Absolutely. I mean full speed ahead on that one. Let me tell you what I get angry about. There's a There's a boat in my neighborhood in New York out of Long Island. It's a paddle Wheeler. But it's purely ornamental. The paddle wheels don't even touch the water. They just spin. That's not the case here. No, this is American Queen Steamboat Company and we have paddle wheelers up and down the rivers and the real world, real paddle wheelers and in really iconic Americano. And obviously the technology and the engineering behind that is new. However, it's not really new, is it? I mean, you're using new technology, but it's the old technology that's doing it is tried and true technology that allows us to move up and down the rivers. Yes. Basically you have the original paddle wheelers and GPS. You're absolutely correct. I mean, girl that in there I mean, And that's what allows you to, uh, to do it. You're absolutely right. And so it is blending traditional technology with new technology to create just an.

Well, if I had a nickel for every time I've heard that story over the last 40 years, I'd be a millionaire. I have a lot of vehicles. It may not be a million dollars. But you couldn't carry all those nickels and once And as a matter of fact, this program was born 30. Three plus years ago out of our interest in sharing with folks in our neck of the woods, the potential pitfalls pitfalls associated with working with someone that does not have Be required license the required insurances the experiences so on and so forth, And here we are. I have to tell you that a pitfall is a bad thing. The other bad thing is me where I have my 10 toes on the edge of life's cliff. Yeah, yeah, right on. I'm looking down and saying Tell me something. Is this a pitfall? E think that probably for folks who have endured the loss. We especially want to reach out to our friends who are listening that have suffered a loss because of a fire and it's not just in California. It's many parts the country of floods, Hurricanes, tornadoes, My wife's dearest friend Henry Lee. Lost her house in a player. What set Pleasant to Valley or with the Hex Paradise paradise. That's right, and She decided to buy a new home down the street, and she's very happy. And then the fires came again and she was evacuated once. This year. In her second home that was exposed to fire. Can you imagine the impact that much have on her emotionally? Well, I think also the people who lost And then snuggled up to someone who purported to be legitimate and who took money and left them hanging. That is double jeopardy. And so we're gonna be joined this hour. By Kevin Dura Way. Kevin is the public affairs information officer for the California state contractor's license board. It is an agency of the Department of Consumer Affairs. And although The information that he's going to share can be of special value to friends listening throughout state of California I assure you that wherever you are within the listening area, this program that you can take great advantage of the information that will be shared by Kevin Dura Way, so we want you to stay tuned. I'm not going to tell you what kind of hanging we're going to do. Okay, but we're gonna be hanging in the garage. Okay? I I suspect what you're gonna do is share with us. Don't say okay, Don't tell. Okay. Right. But first the phones we go at 8007372474 and David Haye Yo, David. How? Yeah, you're doing going to paint my house Stoeckel. House wondering if I would end up with longer last repaint job by rolling it instead of spraying it. That way. I know I get more material on more pigment. Um, why did he call? Well, there's another ship if you're painting stucco for the first time. Step one is to spray the wall from top to bottom with your water hose. And get the stucco wet that will fill the pores. Deep inside the stucco, the water on the surface will evaporate almost instantly. Then you can spray your stucco. And then back, roll it and in spraying, you get a nice even coat and in back rolling, you push the paint into the stucco. And because water is there, it won't allow the paint to go too deeply into the stucco. Which would just cause you to use five times more pink than necessary. And with the water sitting down, how much absorption the stucco does Will not give you an inferior a coat of paint. It will give you plenty of coverage without wasting paint. We have David at on the house dot com. An article that we wrote many years ago entitled Painting stucco the correct way, and it will address in addition to those Points. That brother Morris brought up choosing paint quality and color moron efflorescence how to fill cracks and all of that. And all that jazz and the best part. It's on the house. Good luck. You're quite welcome. Good to hear from you, David. I think I may have said Kevin David David. As in David and Goliath. "We love you. We love you. They're turning out in the cold despite a pandemic, so he has a really strong following. I think the big question for the Trump campaign is Is it enough to put him over in some of these battleground states like Pennsylvania, and we're not going to know that probably until Maybe in a couple days. Rick. How much of a difference do you think it makes? I mean, you're somebody who's run these campaigns, including for John McCain, for president, one of these that Democrats would say, Oh, that's fine. He's got all these rallies, but it's actually not going affected. Voter turnout Probably say Oh, no, no, no, This really is indicating that they will turn out and vote. Do you have an instinct on that? Well, it depends on what you use A rally strategy for it is a good way to build enthusiasm and get turn out. But it's not indicative of the popular vote in the state is biggest Pennsylvania, for instance, s O. I think you've got to separate the 21. Donald Trump is a fantastic candidate when it comes to rallying his base and getting excited and he needs those Rallies to demonstrate that the minority of the public that supports him is big enough to win an election as he did in 2016 that being said they actually take away resource is from the get out the vote effort and the advocacy efforts that are underway in a lot of those county, so it's a balancing act that you have tohave in a campaign where you just don't throw everything into a big event. On DH and bankrupt the other efforts to try and get the vote out. It's another question here. That's looming, and we'll have time to answer you will is a political scientist actually genius. What role of social media playing in this? Oh, that is so fascinating. I mean, and this is you know, we couldn't have asked this 10 years ago, even five years ago. The way we can't today, But the president has been the first president, the first candidate in 2016 and President Tio use social media incredibly effectively into his advantage. And, of course, we've seen him continue that throughout his time in office. But now the Democrats are starting to catch up to that. So I think I've never gotten myself and I, you know so many tweets, emails Instagram post from campaigns and candidates as we've seen this time around, so they're using in effectively. A lot of money has been spent in that area, but we simply don't know what that's going to mean for turnout, and I think that's the big question tonight. Doesn't get people out, particularly the president. Space. If you assume that a lot of the early vote went democratic, which the numbers suggest it did. Okay. Rick Davis and Gino will be sticking with us here. In the meantime, we're just after 7 20. In the evening. We have another round of polls closing at 7:30 P.m., Eastern time. Chief Washington correspondent Kevin So really is here to take us through. What states Toe Watch, Kevin. David three states, closing just in a couple of minutes. North Carolina, Ohio and West Virginia, Of course, Ohio. Incredibly important to Republicans. They were ableto win that state in 2016. But Democratic nominee Joe Biden, campaigning there last evening in Cleveland, tryingto trend that state in the opposite direction and pick up a win and the neighbor. Pennsylvania. Let's focus, though, on North Carolina 15 electoral votes up at stake for the Tar Heel state. This is a purple state, and if this race is close, David, we might not know the results until a couple of days after election day up to 12 days because of a Supreme Court ruling that would allow for votes that are post March By Election Day to be counted through 5 P.m. eastern on November 12. I've got my eye on Nash County in North Carolina. It's between rally and Greenville. And while there are more registered Democrats than Republicans, one third of the registered vote is unaffiliated. President Trump was able to win that county by just 10.2%. In 2016. He's hoping that he'll have a repeat, but it is incredibly incredibly close. And it's also has implications for the Senate. If Democrats want to take back control of the Senate, they need said net. Three seeds. They think that they have a shot to do that, with the Democratic challenger, Cal Cunningham against the Republican incumbent in the state of North Carolina Senator Tom Tillis. Remember Senator Tillis is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. And Cal Cunningham has been using that Supreme Court justice pick of Amy Cockney Barrett to draw a contrast. In what has become get this the most expensive Senate race in history, cashing in at more than $265 million. In addition, so what's going on in the North Carolina Senate race paid close attention to Georgia where it's a doubleheader. You've got Senator David Perdue, the Republican. Up against John O Soft, who is the Democratic challenger Challenger, a former journalist on DH. They feel that this could be an opportunity. Democrats feel to pick up seats. I can tell you I just got off communicating with a prominent Georgia Republican strategist, David who says that they feel turnout in Georgia is trending. For Republicans. You look at that special election, though we might not actually have because of Senator Kelly Lefler on DH Raphael Warnock and what's going on with Doug Collins. There's a four way race down there. We might not actually have Of runoff election until early January in Georgia, which means we might not have the final Senate breakdown David until January. For that spread, and one of things that I'm fascinated by both Georgia and North Korea is the demographic shift in those states even over the last four years. Precisely And look. The biting campaign is really hoping Tio reform the Obama coalition and the Obama strategy and turning out African American votes. And you're seeing that not just in battleground states like North Carolina as well as Georgia, but also in Florida, and, of course in Pennsylvania, Eso no doubt the biting campaign trying to do that they have utilized. People like Stacey Abrams, who lost the gubernatorial race in the state of Georgia and also former president Barack Obama. Obama, who has headed to the Sunshine State, so can we go back to North Carolina just for a moment? Because there was a time that it looked like Thom Tillis, the incumbent was really vulnerable. And then the challenger Cal Cunningham really had troubles with reports about Actually confessed to having an affair with somebody that's raising problems. Where can one of those go one way and one? The other that is that the presidential versus the Senate or do they come together? Well, it has not historically happened in modern times. When you look at 2016, for example, there were 34 Senate races. Each of the 34 Senate races in 2016 went with whomever the state chose at the top of the ticket. So if a state went for that candidate Trump the Senate and the Republican Field one On DH. Likewise for states that Clinton carried with Democrats winning so ticket splitting has been this thing that political strategists like Rick Davis are fascinated by, But it's largely been ah, mystery in modern elections. Exactly that, that fictional creature that we look for. We don't see very often. Thank you so much to Kevin's really in Washington to come back to our chief Washington respondent periodically. To set the stage for us. In the meantime, let's catch you up on where the results all right now it's very early going. We can't say that often enough, but still there are some results right now. Based on the projections have been made. We have President Trump having 19 of the 270 electoral votes he needs and only three for vice was a Biden once again very, very early going in the meantime, over on the Senate side that Kevin has been talking about We're looking at with the possibility of picking up three or four seats to shift where we are. This is live coverage of the 2020 election results on Bloomberg.

I guess I don't know I just don't really see the navy for Jeff and if you have clear no I'm flying out of L. G. clear you're in the clear. Yeah and flying J and most of the time on time so. It's like okay if I have to wait. Fifteen eight minutes in a line like so be. It airport sucks anyway. Where am I going? I just sit at my gate. I find it shocking that you wouldn't have a huge problem with the taking off the shoes putting your feet on the flow. Oh it always is weird. It's a weird feeling Edgy Germany. I know but when I'm having a travel day like I'm a I'm a big germ anyway. So what's the difference okay. First Story A little break up news because Gerber and Davidson have reportedly split and she's focusing on her modeling. I think really need like an official statement from their publicist. Because if this had just fizzled out like one of the million girls that Davidson dates like it would have been fine. So this seems really formal to me. Yeah I think it's really interesting and at this point it's like Davidson really doesn't care people thing because I feel like saying these relationships longer just to prove something but you know he doesn't care of this. This is rap ED. That's something a woman would do like men don't care it's cool if you date a lot of models like you're then like John Mayer updating models like George Clooney like didn't ruin their lives no. I don't think it's going to ruin anyone's lives lives. But then it's like the next relationship and also the girls at a certain point. Yeah girl would WANNA deep Davidson. If she knows she's heartbroken when I totally get a girl like in Andie macdowell daughter. What was her name? Margaret Rainey. No that's other sister Margaret Qualley. Yes I understand a girl like that dating David Timberlake Hager knowing she might just be like one in a million models like she doesn't I need you know what I mean. Yeah but then it all goes back a lesser known girl. It all goes back to the Edo de and maybe they just like to like. There's there's some great personality there and it's something about Pete there is and I think we've all establish like Beck and sail with join such a prominent woman you so like everything like she survived Pearl Harbor for this to be with Pete Davidson and a hockey game underground day of course but she was like one of her first so she didn't know about the pattern. Christopher Super Columbus discovering discover me ramone. Discover Me Kathy David. Yes yes. He was still very unknown while dating cows and and Carly Aquilino. Oh I'm sorry. Thank you so much for bringing that I'm absolute justice for Carly Aquilino comedian from girl code. She dated Davidson I when he was an actual. Nobody and then I think chasm was right after that I totally forgot that she was playing. This has been going on for a really long time and I know we're just just seeing it now because like the girls are starting to look more and more like but just like this chain of events of a girl after girl and it's like premium girl after premium girl has been going on for a while. Kevin David even seems to be the prototype in terms of looks because after her everyone except for Arianna. Everyone looks the same Red She's very you buy like Pale skin. So maybe maybe maybe he's got a different taste and like the Catholic David's of the world best. He knows what he likes now. Yeah what do you think he'll next given that we know his type honestly asleep like Rooney Mara like that's the Bible. No the craziest thing in the world is at Runi. Marin we are madly in love perfect for each other you're perfect for each other like I imagine. The inside of their houses the dumpling creative. They can't flush toilet. Like I feel like they devastate with grimes. In Yuan. Musk and another world a garage and Joaquin Phoenix together Bat. And you were there. At this point they're interchangeable human beings. But actually it's really cute. And I think the weirdest things that Rudy Marra and Kate Mara our sisters yes and I think they come from like a really wealthy. owns the jets right. Okay if we both think it actually probably told each other and We're both going off. The same fell. Snooze Maron remarried like have totally different careers that look so different like. I never picture that being sisters knows people could say that about on and then it's like this thing about cameras. So crazy is that she was pushed in front of a train by Kevin Spacey and like Justice for her because is it never came to light. You are earning totally you know. Nearly as giving artistic and creative and like dark and dirty and your dislike beautiful and like you just met the love of your life at work. Who is she best? She's with Jamie he's like not even Q.. Issue is he the one who used to date care nightly maybe he's like one of those British types but last I heard they were still dating but she's so like a relevant that they could have broken up but I wouldn't have known but they met on a movie set that got nominated for a bunch of awards. They did the award season together. And then they just had quietly like went to a chateau in England so cute Grammy Malik. Lucy Boynton who just shaping up to be the century fakest couple ever convenient for like they were. There was so much Oscar buzz around. They had that weird like Bryan singer thing but then this eclipsed that and I totally thought it was like a rob hats in Kristen Stewart like arranged with the kind of like each other and now I think maybe they just actually fell in love. Okay for the Record Rob Pattinson and Christopher Stewart were true love he said that but there was definitely some coercion and getting them together. But it didn't matter because they I love you can't you can't act chemistry like that. No you can't. And what makes the twilight series so incredible. Despite the fact that you would just be like a cheesy vampire trilogy is the fact that they are just like so caught up by hand. Charter is so helpful. Like you can feel it. You can see like no one even Christians. It is that good of an actress like she really felt that way about rob like she felt like intimidated by him and he wanted to protect her. Like honestly the vampire was kind of like this symbolism for fame. If if you think about it you know like rob had it in to keep kristen. You know safe yes. Those beautiful very beautiful okay. Ready for story. That's just made for you. What a juror? Whose wife start on Weinstein produced project? Runway has been dismissed. Wait you're never gonNA guess it but a German okay. Whose wife was on project runway which was produced by Harvey Weinstein had to be dismissed from the case the husband of TV personalities? Roberts Rassi was dismissed. This as perspective Juror Zanna Roberts Rassi. Oh she was like a host like a judge. I have no clue but her husband is he should be dismissed for other reasons. He's a trillionaire trillionaire last. Someone just made the comment I've ever seen about you know someone should start a sock company called. OTP Japan pair of socks. Thanks very random. But Data Roberts husband if I'm correct is the founder of milk makeup. He's very wealthy. Oh yes he. He is with his wife and partners. They founded milk make. I'm sure that he has like. He's a billionaire. I'm sure he's actually met Harvey Weinstein like that's the only reason he said. No he said I know Harvey and his family and his wife and children and when he asks when the judge asked if he could be a fair and impartial juror he said. I don't think you know someone's kids and be an impartial juror. No no definitely not and also like if you were running it becoming like that. I don't think you can get caught up in a trial like this. Like you have places to go. I just don't understand how like you know. Millions of trials have every year and like no celebrities are finding themselves caught up in it but now we have two who major like stars only New York only in New York and only around Harvard Wentz in the seems like plan. It's so weird. I guess it's just like those are the odds are there are so many interesting people that live in New York. If you're getting like one hundred twenty people on one day the odds at two of them are people that we've heard of an. It's not like this guy is famous because his wife. If is semi famous so it's just like he is in the industry and New York. You know it's very much a part of the media industry so it's only make sense that these people have crossed path. I mean New York is kind of the epicenter for everything I heard they fill in the morning toast there. Oh for sure I heard they actually discuss sickness studio. Yeah very sick. GD is going back to the courthouse today to continue eighteen. You the jury duty you know questionnaire did you see how many hop Razzi we're waiting for outside now Juliette one bodyguard honestly wasn't enough. He does a great job like he was really just being like she. She decided can't come in on the trial. I can't comment on the try. Like people were just throwing question she said. I can't come in on the trial. I can't comment on the trial and he was pushing. If you couldn't even get to the car. It was so crazy that is so crazy also Harvey Weinstein read is trying to get. The trial moved out of New York. I don't know why he thinks that that would help him. And why he thinks he's special. Now no nothing's really gonNA help him obviously people in new worker fucking brutal if you can't get a jury of his peers brutality. If he can't get acquitted here he can't get acquitted anywhere. Yeah I think this is great. I'm very much looking forward to justice. Being served served terry much. And I'm very much looking forward to meeting these jerseys. I doubt you will be one of them. But you know what crazier things have happened in this world. I don't WanNa ruin your day like G.. Jd Dating Tyler. See to me is crazier than her being on the hundred jury selection for Harvey Weinstein. The one ruin your day but I think you add some spray Tan under wrote these now now say it in so I don't see it..

"Right okay there you go ray in Waterbury what's up right when I raise not there give me another one here we go Ian admin Alison what's so be it Hey Mike how you thank good taking my call you got it on I the more more your show the more I like the idea that might be a great fit it back my question you would with Terry Collins want to be called all I think in a second and then a second I don't you love it they I think you'd be thrilled absolutely yeah I think you look he's a baseball life and I think he would love it absolutely yes I know you're having eagle that nothing no he was he would love it he I think he was all of it yeah he was he loved it here he loved it he he never want to leave you absolutely love that here I think you'd love back yes he would have no problem then being a bench coach no problem he would love yeah and as you said he has no we go he would he would absolutely love being a bench coach Adam in Staten Island was about him Hey Mike Mike I I was thinking gonna go without trial I really like the moles and it is only like a good baseball story the fact so under appreciated as a matter of which stands you know just to have in common and change narrative from that from we are looking at that last ditch the you know hope you know you bring them to the promised land I think it's just a great help actual story hopefully the next year and you're not wrong that is that is fair that's a good one yeah you're right yeah I'll I'll be end about them on a weekly on a weekly basis yeah I love that we're we we know that that would be something that I you know listen I'm sure part of it would be you know there's a very good chance he would be the on weekly you know whoever the manager would be on weekly I would think is a very good chance stable Long Beach what's up Dave I generally don't have a lot of faith in in the way the Mets and will punch go about their business I'm feeling really good about this Beltran I think his quietness was you could substitute maybe just this was like in professional but everything I hear about it just sounds so good he's a writing class The New York Times I think we all like can we all feel good about him and I just hope that as much of a player's managers use I hope that he can also note greeted speak softly and carry a big stick when it comes to discipline I feel good about all right Brooklynite the fans of as much more accommodating to it and I thought they would be go ahead Harry what's up by Mike echo you to what's happening is everybody in saying it's everybody's gone crazy Beltran has never had any managerial experience might very Collins was acquired and now they bring him back as a mentor as a bench coach we're guys never manage a team record is live in Saint they think they're going to go anywhere with this switch it's all politics that's all it is well with missile we don't we don't have Terry Collins part of the mix yet I mean that that's not anything official and they did let it Terry go which I would have been happy if they didn't I didn't think Terry did a better job with the same as a matter of fact yeah and I actually think he's a pretty good baseball guy so I think he'd be a good bench coach as a I think he'd be a good mentor and a good bench coach I really do for Beltran so I disagree on that one as far as build John listen you have every right to that room that your your skepticism adult son is very fair he has never managed before so we will see how we handle the thanks for the call Sony in Melbourne was of sunny Hey Mike was a nothing against calls Beltran personally but if you remember back when they were considering about letting go of Mickey mean you both agree that it would not make any sense to let me go and bring in a first line manager why not just keep making bring a guy with some experience you know jobs or audio well rounded but yeah but I never I never thought they would bring in an experienced manager and they they would let make you go with it I I don't I don't think I don't think there was any chance I do admit I could make you would have to have a special year to be back I I didn't I don't think I don't think you make use of a coming back and Mike what you think about this I think one of Brody's philosophy about bringing a guy like Beltran is he has a docile personality make he's gonna multi in any basically be sending down that you'll wind up caught every single night and ankles not gonna have much to say listen these guys believe in this collaborative stuff now they're all running these teams this way the only guys aren't or the or the guys who a veteran very big veteran manages other than that they all are they all are they're all doing it they're doing it everywhere in baseball they have these collaborations with the you know the rosters and then add the line ups are done by a group of people there's a lot of input into all of it you're a hundred percent right that's the way it's done now that's what they want that's what these jet the general managers have you searched all the power on most of these teams it's just that it's the way too that's the way the world now I mean this is the that's that's the bottom line it is now the way in the world it would like it or not I mean you know and and that's why guys like Mike sociaux and Buck Showalter on another manager right now but I do agree with you about calls in about you know Spanish speaking in relating to the place I think that does help but I think a lot of plays will look up to him so I think that will help them a slight level they look the players absolutely absolutely level they really do I did I disagree with you about you know being a meeting I don't think that's a bad point I know it's New York in yellow and we're going to see they're going to see how that works with that Mickey was the bad too though I had a learn what he was he was again and thanks for calling was accommodating they'll have me Mickey wasn't it wasn't on friendly he was it was okay he was a decent guy he he really was you know so so we'll see we'll get more on it again calls Beltran the new met manager no good in the end nothing confirm for the Mets I don't think it will be there until after the weekend sounds like anyway we'll see about whether Terry Collins is the best because we don't know that yet we here at at the Barclay center and as that's get ready to take on the rockets you've already heard from Kelly I because if you didn't you'll hear that from Kelly acted so you'll hear that later on can enjoy this earlier will play that back because he was on right the top of the show their new CEO as you know the ownership changed you know that I chose I who is the Ali Baba guy now owns the team I'm sure you're aware that now if you did not all the way you were during the whole China thing I mean so I'm not sure you realize that see had a big change here at the Barclays center no the guy running it is David levy who is also connected to this the the fan because sees sits on the board for it to come which owns the fans so they would welcome that we have one passes the house everything thanks travel all right so a big turn over here that's how many months it has it been since you took over it's only been four weeks believe there is that it's only been four weeks and weeks and one week we were in China so it's been three weeks here and one we will that was like a lifetime a lot with that because I know that that that that itself you know having the I guess what it was Joe side the first soon from that part of world have any NBA ties it all has it has it been in order at first yeah the first Chinese I mean obviously I know from Taiwan but I mean he's the first Chinese owner of of any note right I don't know if there was a minority owner anything though so he's the first guy took over for Prokhorov who was like the secret agent when he was the and I and I never the world the reasons why they became very fog we said it's my first time here but Prokhorov the day he took over the team I interview a really yes he did interview with me sat for an interview and it was like James Bond it was like he really Italy had this image the whole thing it was it gave as a character actor really was a character and in many lovely body love the team he did he really did it now Josiah who I I'm a guy who watches CNBC every morning I would like to invest so I'm very familiar with Ali Baba a very familiar which size so it I mean this is a dynamic guy that was an older this is a really high notes people wherever you are right now in Hong Kong and China I don't care okay that I don't I'm not get into that right now because that's the you know what that and I understand that's a very ticklish situation and I'm not expecting people to care I'm not expecting people to be on one side of the other I don't care but this guy as an owner forget that part is a dynamic businessman I mean this guy what he's done is been unbelievable yeah and how we focused on where he's building his company Ali Baba and he thinks he can take the nets right not just from domestic but even on a global basis and build this brand not just domestically here but build on on a national was here's a pricing guide of viability come that was he a guy looking for team for a long time was it known that he was for it to you but already a day for a long time thirty two years was he a guy that Joe so now is a but I think you're seeing a lot of these different teams whether it's the NBA or the baseball or NFL there's a lot of money out there globally and there's opportunities now to come in and look at these these teams that despite waiters are going up crazy teams are worth a lot and they're going to go up even more sports betting because they offer more product is treated as a streaming right as you go and and Joe knows the you know the the opportunities around digital yeah and the opportunities around social and this is where we're gonna build a team that alley bombs were the biggest companies in the world of an incident it's it's basically folks the Amazon of China's what if that's what it is to read it yes it's a for you the attraction of the elements of both you and the guy at Turner will use my fake yes probably work with the guy who brought me to CVS as a kid that's capital now love Kevin David was a guy who hired me that's a that's a name from the past seven all hired me in nineteen eighty one to come to CVS they had just won the rights to the NCAA tournament and they didn't have anybody who knew any and they just thought to cause trouble for the first time twenty five years while and they said and Kevin through a mutual friend and he said listen I need you to come.

"Well certainly a lot of tradition you know Harvard and Princeton and examples to the teams in the country to the first team to ever play football both teams have been playing it longer than just about anybody on the planet so a lot of tradition a lot of history and a lot of respect the coach tells about this is prince the team is undefeated what kind of challenges to the present to you that maybe you haven't seen so far this season forty three I believe right now that have one loss or last week the prince in **** and yell at Harvard for one but this team it was you guys alluded to you know just seems the French points they had sixty five they've had over fifty the whole forty and how they carry that over last year but I got a great scene is quarterbacking Kevin David's and got a receiver goods leading the league check in Burma line and and they you know they play a very fast of temple offense and they just find different ways to score points over the last two years that certainly been there that's certainly getting what they done probably better than anybody lead to Murphy thank you so much and good luck this Saturday coach Murphy with Harvard and Harvard football four in a row they when they put Princeton one PM you could hear that a boomer one of six one Boston Newbury port in Boston and we welcome all of you nationwide as well as we talk to because your view about football football note must pay attention to this is really odd fantasy football except usual starters it's like the expertise of finding those names of artists for million you could do that at Bloomberg news with a Richard Sherman who Paul two weeks ago looked like god he got like everything right in this weekend he was using yeah mail more I like his value picks that's right go he doesn't pick yeah that yeah read about other places exactly we're in the earnings season and Kate Morrison something today that was profound she is heated plus plus plus with Black Rock is she is around the fury I've been trumpeting which is corporations adjust across all of our Bloomberg intelligence work what is the mailing ability the change ability the elasticity of cap backs I mean is it really that flexible you know I think it depends really Tom on the industry there's certain industries that just have this maintenance cap backs that is a much higher percentage of say sales than it is in some other employees take a look at the telecommunications or their cable television they have to continue to reinvest in their network other industry seems like it's it's more deterministic they can pull it back you know maybe a little bit easier if the top lines not there to support the cash flow so depends on if you but you really obviously the company to get the highest return on their investigation put all those are the ones that tend to outperform over time the other you want to talk about Paul maybe we'll touch on this in the next thirty minutes as well you'll do overtly suprematism sure I was thunderstruck by Mr Zuckerberg's testimony yesterday and I'll be honest folks I barely listen to the words but just his almost numbness or reticence to go through the executive process I mean what what does he do if Facebook I mean I I mean seriously for yeah yeah this is day to day duties Facebook you know it appears to investors and analysts that you know he I like a lot of these tech companies whether it's Google or Facebook or or even you go back to Steve Jobs apple the visionary the visionary they have you know the big picture view and they're not necessarily the execution people the exes and ohs the blocking and tackling in there and often times they are not the people you want to put in front of a camera and that's why people like Google would bring in an Eric Schmidt for example if you want to bring in adult adult into the room and so for you know one could argue very well that Mr soccer is not the type of person that feels comfortable sitting in front of Congress I'm not sure who would be but he certainly is not one of those people and then it comes across like it does with a lot of people sitting in front of Congress you know sitting in from the camera with.
