"For several reasons but I mean it's just a a logical step. Her being worried about it and her reaction. Luckily didn't you know scare anybody away because okay. So cody puts you up. You're supposed to be secure in your six personalize you have to fake that you are. Oh. Don't me up a scientist whatever you know don't tell him that but you gotta be confident. So I mean she saw the writing on the laws she knew that she needed to possibly win if not gonna go up but I think she should have still maintained her composure and she went up talk a whole bunch of people. It's not that big of a deal I, mean not. At least. Okay we saw Kevin and David have conversation and I do feel like that. Big Brother twenty two has had a lot of things that have gone well, but I think that they have done a good job this season maybe not every episode but you know once or twice a week they give us like a real conversation between the house guests and we got to hear how Kevin felt like that. You didn't really fit in with anybody in this group and. that he didn't necessarily wasn't able to bond necessarily with the black guests felt like that he wasn't necessarily considered to be part of the what the black houseguests we're going through but also felt like did not feel like that he was accepted by the other group. Wasn't even really discussed also that Kevin is gay as well, which is an another part of his interest analogy. Yeah. I thought that this was You know a really compelling conversation between Kevin and David. Yeah absolutely I mean I was worried after case or was gone after. Yvonne. Was Gone that we were gonNA lose this kind of stuff because that's where the meat of all of these great conversations were coming from early on in the season case going out, and then you know the with Dave on going out this week and then Bailey he's been gone. It's like the people who were talking about really important things and not about lake. Californians not being real like that was concerning. But yeah, the, what's what what Kevin talking about was fully worthwhile you know to be expressing on his own end for us to be hearing nobody wants to feel like their identity is not valid in the eyes of everybody else around them like you want to you know you want people to see you for who you are not like that conversation with Yvonne definitely struck a chord with him like he talked about it in this conversation he brought it up a couple of different times and I believe that him and Hash it out I don't WanNa. Like confirmed that, but I think that they talked about it and you know they got back on the same page but it was nice to at least get more of that like real life talk brought into when it's kind of been slipping away from the picture of the show. So yeah. Yeah. How `bout catered with the PEP talk also like you're Kevin Campbell that's who you are. Y-. And so like I thought his questioned to date, it was pretty interesting when he saw. David. How how would you define me inundated had the right answer he was like, how did you want to? Find You I know coming from the black community for me whenever I have mixed friends or mix people that I know we always ask we always ask what do you want to be presented as because each person is an individual shocker including black people people are individuals. So when Davis said, well, what do you WanNa present as what do you? What do you consider yourself and and Kevin was like well, I don't really you know I know I mixed Japanese and data. So that's that's what is your black Giannis and that's what you are and it's different with everybody like I know people who who are. Saying. They'll. They'll just claim black because that's their identity and then I know other people who are saying. It's really how you want to be perceived and with Dave and Kevin Dave von comes in. From her perspective and if I am going to step into her shoes for two seconds as a black woman who is also about the same complexion as her when when she says, I look at the winner's circle, I don't see myself that she's talking about us. She's talking about like a black who was like a full black person it does not mean she is trying to take away Kevin's identity. She saying from her perspective doesn't see anybody who looked like her and arm my. My experience is not going to be the same as Kevin's experience for multiple reasons because of his racing ethnicity because of his sexual identity and stuff like that, and it's two different experiences and to to act like it's not as that's more racial than anything I think and it's almost like that answer that Julie gave to. Entertainment weekly when entertainment weekly said Dan talked about not seeing winners like her and Julie went into well, I don't think Josh or June or Casey was say those people are all people of Color? Yes they are. You cannot take that away from them, but their experience is not exact same as my experience David experience or even hell.

"Kevin Coleman good morning Kevin Dave thanks for having us it is a tradition we've done it for years which I love I have to tell you we always kind of kick off this season and or when I'm when I'm filling in for Lou about cleaning your grill and prepping it for the season right I mean you know I don't I mean seven years we've been talking about that seven years old we wouldn't we made a difference in people's lives by helping them clean get their growth up to speed so that way they can enjoy a cool summer barbecuing and have no old performance issue all right here's my confession here comes I I have done some light cleaning I have never even though we talk about it every year I have never completely torn apart the girls so that I get and I gotta tell you how important this is to our listeners to sow wheat my son and I pulled everything out every part every piece and you have a video I believe it's on Facebook at and Weber dot com on how to properly clean the grill the grades we're that we're the actual flames are coming from the direction that you have to brush things so it doesn't fall inside my grill is nine years old I am not kidding you it has never I'm an idiot that I have not done this before because in his never perform better it's never been as hot it is never been is even like yes cleaning your grill is critical you're absolutely right that's one thing that I get it people don't like to do it but it's one of those things that once you do it once you see it doesn't take that much time but using you know taking the greats out take the flavors of ours out cleaning all annexation without cleaning off the burner tubes right making sure everything's firing correctly the food cooks faster the food taste better and that's that's important for some people you know they they don't have the time but luckily for us now we have way more time at home so there is no excuses nine years ten years not a part of a vast area people don't clean but yet to do that it adds your performance and it also helps with with the longevity of your girl **** **** speaks volumes that you had your girl nine years haven't cleaned it still was working pretty solidly and in maintaining that just speaks for the waterfall absolutely does well you know and again I the fact that now I've cleaned it and now I know I'm going to do it probably you know again if you this season probably get at least next season is that I'm not cleaning up nine years of of gunk in there it should be a little bit easier going and by the way if you get a cut question for Kevin or your grill three one two nine eight one seventy two hundred send your questions in and will we'll put you on air and talk about that now there's only two ways to grill really the charcoal grills and the gas grills but we just read a a a a promotion for the new girl that you guys have out yes well we have electric grid gas rhetorical and now we have a brand new small part telegram which makes growing extremely easy you can control the actual smoke per unit from your phone you can bring the temperatures up as the smoke speech here which will give you more smoke flavor on your grill ones on a Weber connect so basically it's like picking my brain and putting it into this controller and actually walks you through completing your food down one to forget want to take it off did you EPA like if you're driving to Chicago from the suburbs like I do usually in the summer when I come and see you guys it gives me the yeah one of those to be there in a half hour thirty five minutes whatever it does the same thing for pork shoulder chickens prescription so we've taken all this great technology put into this unit and it's true one of those game changing products but what I love about it is the goal continues to evolve so we continue to update the applicant programs which features and so this will truly chases perfection and that's what I love about it but it's it's a grill I mean you can do your basic grilling on there but you can smoke on their wealth as well which is just I mean it's all purpose so when you hear about pellet grills and all this other stuff I mean this thing does everything yeah it doesn't let you do your having cooked on almost every single public role in the market place to have a grill that can cheer and caramelized like a traditional Weber gas grill or charcoal grill is fantastic and it still gives you that great moment small smoking consistency for doing pork shoulder ribs and chickens but what's truly remarkable about this product which is not my haven't seen out there is how it gets to five hundred fifty six hundred degrees I consider a steak like you would find at a steak house which is absolute marble for alcohol so we're extremely happy with that I'm a proton I'm actually sitting outside right now in short of mine with a pork shoulder running at two hundred fifty degrees so not only do I talk about about actually using it you're doing it you're doing yeah I went to an event I think it was last fall where you were cooking all kinds of stuff on and people don't realize it's not just about cooking meats and maybe some vegetables out there I mean obviously you guys you do breakfast on there but you also do you do you do pizzas I mean you really treat it like an oven well I mean and that's and that's you know we're fortunate because Weber designs or products for took almost anything that you do inside of your house outside under roads of peaches are definitely one of those fun things of the the great thing about Chicago is you get to the debates about what's better Chicago style pizza that sort of bass we have some of the best restaurants here but what I love is traditionally move on that is you can order your par baked pizzas you can go and you can order them and you can you can design it however you want to take a home we put him on your grill you bring about the temperature and all of a sudden now you've got this beautiful piece of that you have at home but you wouldn't have to do that much work for you which regional rob you do your thing crust pizza you know you make your goal and so do impedes on the girls fantastic breakfast absolutely you're breaking your sausage you know you get a great all then all the sudden now you can do pancakes you can do perhaps hosting so that's I mean if you could show anything you want to do you can't and that's what I love about the summertime and these girls is so now I don't have to do it inside I don't have to make and that's with everybody getting all together now I'm sure you know that yeah interacting with each other more in so being able to get outside and can actually sneak away a little bit helps I'm gonna grab a couple calls here Guido you're on seven twenty WGN you got a question regarding cleaning your girl I do happy Memorial Day fellows at you know what I only know one Guido and I think I know which one this is we don't want money right from club Lago how you doing buddy I'm doing well I am legitimately thrilled to hear this question because so we are absolutely Webber all the way I am a terrible guy my wife bought a web order gas grill that I fought for years and now I finally start up and converted my question is if there is sort of a weak spot if you if you ask the grill the gastro with your hand and there's a spot that is definitely not as hot as other spots how do I specifically take off a little flavor bars or whatever active faults I have just started button and I'm a troglodyte with like Candyman ability so I've done that so how do I six a cold spot sure there have been hot spots when I would recommend is one taker the greater the flavors of ours out book at the actual border too because what can happen to call it stealing and so some of the impurities in gas start to close up the ports on the tubes a little bit so they're not as open as they would so what I would do is take a a clean stainless steel brush and just scrape or hurt you know move back and forth like you're brushing your teeth all the ports are echoing some of those are your thing I would recommend is we're creatures of habit right and so when you grow most of the time I put everything in the center both flavors are bars might have a little more schmaltz on on the outside installed actually take the inside wants to live outside outside inside we worried about the cold spots about the hot spots if you will you can always do a blood test and so you take pieces of bread put that over the actual cooking great shut your you know your girl took put him on there with them and you can actually see with those hot spots and cold spots are because sometimes it could be due to the wind sometime it could be just because of the show what's on there like they said he had a clean has a nine so the error that confectionaries of moving around the unit is fastened selected because of the performance issues but for the majority time the hot spots aren't necessarily going to be as big as you take now one way to really get away from that a little bit if you have cast iron grates inside of your grill because we changed it so well that it does have a pretty good job of creating even that's across the country so those are the couple things I would recommend if you're if you're trying to get the most out of cold spots we are you are are you opening cooking today are you back at it tomorrow July does does today we are back at it tomorrow doing a couple neighborhood deliveries this week and we're actually doing a couple kind of buildings but today I mean I'm open and took it to help yeah I got I got yeah I can drink that tomato sauce pal so what Lago club Lago dot com you want or from great agreed thanks a lot buddy have a great day take care fellas urea I take care make your own seven twenty WGN you got a question for a cabin Hey Kevin Victor okay I've got a twenty year old Jenner but the side burner and the bottom of it has rusted apart I need a bottom plate that goes live by D. well is there can I buy one or is there a place I can take it the grill and have it repaired so are you saying the bottom the cook box of the genesis is rusted out toward the side burners was about the inside weights were you with that the tank has rusted out sure the frame is what you're saying that's great but if the piece of the old that was painted and it's just rusted where the the propane tank the got it so what I would what I would recommend to that is if you go on Peter Weber dot com or call customer service.

"We're good man. So the question came up, girl, Lindsay called in and said, who, who from barstool, do you think will be the first person to date a celebrity? And we said it has to be like an alien a Lister and an I don't think anybody here really can. I also thought that if anything it would be a girl because like a guy who was an atlas there might still be like I wanna sex, without girl, whereas girls might not I don't think we'll stoop down to our level, but you are at international Manta mystery you are low level. You are very Kramer s fall ass backwards into this ridiculous life. You have been known to pull chicks who are high above your pay grade. I you know, and maybe you would be a reasonable pick. Do you think would you bet on yourself? Do you have any experience in this field? How would you approach it? What would you do? Do you have any advice? Gimme mardi, motions thoughts on hooking up with a celebrity. Well, first of all, I'm what a hot streak on. Are you talking believable? I really I don't know what's happening. This is why I need a hidden camera show with mardi much like what a hot streak like. How are you on a hot streak double double shot at rat? That's when they. Love love. I know. But yeah, I think hot, it's first of all, it's too hot out for sex anymore, by the way, this, too. It's too much. Now, I'm with you on that. I mean in general sex is tough, especially when you go sticky and sweaty. Now, I think I would, I think I wouldn't know who the girl is, and I would just be like doing my stupid shit, and unrealized like after the foul shit that would be the rom com plot like you know, doesn't dope it he doesn't realize he's dating if you're Kardashian or Anna Kendrick, I don't know who you will also came up because she isn't Alastair, but she is, she's pretty cool. She really appreciates like humor. I could see you're not being like like Anna. Kendrick doesn't strike minutes type is like I'm only going to date other famous people. So I think it's kind of a Downer and I do think that someone like yourself would she would be like, I feel bad for this bass that let me, let me try to help. Pitying you. Not even pity though. I think that maybe if you departure from my life of, like Glenn A-List, slumming, celebrity girl might just be like you know what? I'm sick of these guys that are just constantly wanting to talk. Yeah. Because even like I mean, we are brought like z listers, like I don't even know where on the scale but I know that now when guys talked to me at bars, I always in the back of my head or like you're only talking to me, because, because I work at parcel, and nine times out of ten. The first question is always about one of you guys. It's like, oh, Kevin Dave, Dan. It's like, okay, you're only talking me because of that. If you're in, you're, like appreciate it when somebody is like, hey, can I buy you a drink and like they don't mention barstool at all? It's great. So I can imagine Ayla celebrity girls at paparazzi following them around. They're like God. I just wanted to partner from this, like, I just want to live a normal life mardi Moshe could be that normal life. I don't know about normal. Well, but. For a more normal person life than I have different parts of your brain that you don't think about these look, these celebrities to come down there and say, oh, man, I never thought about three and one chiampou like some shit like that. Do you think that they think all ponds are circles? Well, that's fact. About a square pond pond. Yeah. Idiot C square. Okay. We're not gonna mardi and I have gone back and forth on this forever there. He's convinced they're all perfect circles. We don't have to get like this is not what we came on radio on Tuesday to talk about just saying they're not I might be more on this week..

"And other other people, and then that's we met. Kevin Dave there started doing shows with them. Yeah. I think I picked up some of the history of the kids, but I, you know, from whoever I talked to probably Scott and Dave, right? But not but not you in marks history. That's interesting. Yeah. So when Mark shows up you're ready in with the guys. Yeah. Yeah. And Mark, you know, Mark, and I work together. All the time. Like, we love to be together on stage it formed from way back. Yeah. And so when it finally took shape, where would you where you guys working where was the theater, where's the one that that, you know, we're in the we went to the Rivoli which was like an alternative rock club in Queen Street west. It was the cool cool play, and we didn't do well for very long period of time. And then the kids. Yeah. And then eventually we originally. Twelve you know, there was like five other guys, and they sort of went and got jobs, and you know, they weren't they were interesting and entertainment. Yeah. No. They did. They did other things enough of us. Right. Yeah. And and then you took off we ultimately just took off. But I mean everyone's history. It's like, you know. Oh it. Oh, he'd lemon Lorne Michaels found them like it took forever. It felt like it took forever. You know, as young man, it takes, you know, your your time. So important in six months, you know, now, it's like six months. Oh, I don't know. I did a pilot. Oh, it's not going. Okay. I'll see you again next year. Got my money for a year. That's right. It's where do you still think that way when you get in this business? It's sort of like how much how long is this money. Yeah. I know. And there's never a point where you're like good. I'm Good. good. I'm I'm. coast. I'm done. Yeah. So okay. So eventually way I'm you don't have to weaken. We're not too fast forward. But you you did we're in Michael's did find you you produced a show. And then it didn't did it become a hit here immediately. I think it just you know, kind of central just starting then. Right. And while we're on HBO initially. But I think repetition helped us I think they just played it all the time. When I was there like what year we talking because I I hosted short attention span theater in ninety two. Right. And they were all done by them. Because I know that Nick McKinney had his sketch show on right? What was that a lot fifty seven? What was what was his call vacant lot? Yeah. They can lot. Yeah. So that was in production. I think when I was there. So you guys were kind of the old win or at? Yeah. We were done you're done or out of there. So who are you dealing with over there initially, so Lauren did it for HBO? And you did how many on HBO we? Well. We did. I think two seasons. I mean, we did five seasons in total. But in both ways. Yeah. But it took forever because we wrote most the stuff. So our seasons would be like fourteen fifteen months long. Yeah. But we have to Mark was the only guy wanted to go on real. Yeah. Anyone that's why he went to Saturday Night Live sketch comedy. But that was after the movie debacle. Yeah. Kind of at the sort of at the same time. Yeah. So like what happened with that? With brain candy. Yeah. Well, you guys have always been a cult following in the there's like definitely kids in the hall fanatics and people who love you forever. I imagine. Now like, you have you know, boys and girls who are in their fifties. Right. Who are still kind of dressing like they're in their thirties. Coming after you go by. Yeah. Yep. Yeah. Gospels with daddy issues. But now, they're fifty. Yeah. Yeah. But daddy issues don't go away. Mark don't you know, are you know, they just turned into other things usually it's food or drinking. You are collecting weird doll. Yeah. You like cats, but but like what like the movie in retrospect, what happened with it? Because I know there there was the cancer boy debacle. Yeah. "Kevin davis. I remember you gave me a memorial coin with the police memorial. And I mentioned the hospital when Mingo got hurt on the young guy. That's what spectrum police officer. And I think you've got a raw deal Commissioner dysfunctional city, and you can only do so much. What you can do your short handed of men and lock it people faint, always the answer. Because I did this job. You're right. Sometimes you got to protect and serve in the Serb people's dot always put cuffs on people. I want to make sure we get you. Do you have a question for the Commissioner? Or are you just the complement which is great? But is there a question by question for the Commissioner, you think this guy's gonna change crime? Is you tried basically? All right. Thank you. So what's gonna be different with this guy? Then what Commissioner Davis couldn't do? Well, thanks for Claude for the call. And the compliment. I do appreciate it. There are probably fifty to one hundred police executives in the country. Who are well qualified to be the police Commissioner of a city like Baltimore. But the difference maker is the level of support. He or she receives. So the mayor the city council have to unconditionally support the police Commissioner if you look at Baltimore versus Washington DC, they have thirteen hundred more police officers than we do and one third of the violent crime. So we are a woefully understaffed police department. So we have to get real about that. And we have to pay police officers in Baltimore because they have the toughest job of any police department in the state, they should be the best paid we should find a way to give them residency options. So they can afford to live in the city. We should do more to retain our young cops because they are leaving at a far higher rate than any other police. Apartment in Maryland. So now, Joe FitzGerald has been identified and consider me a fan, Joel if you're you or anyone else close to you listening to this happy to help you and bring your own team. And I'm hopeful that the unconditional support you need to succeed comes your way from city hall because I'll tell you this the city the residents the folks who live here in spite of what people may here outside of Baltimore. They want the police to succeed they want to succeed, but the politicians because of the gamesmanship because of who's starting to run for mayor in twenty twenty and the alliances that people form it's a game to so many people, and that's why we have two term limit the city council, and we we have to do better at having a political a political machine that's more inclusive of differing points of view here in the city, Bob. Well, you know, as I look I go back, and I think prior to two thousand fifteen. Two thousand fifteen was a pivotal year. I mean, I think that was the first year, I think that the death the murder rate exceeded three hundred three hundred and forty two murders in two thousand fifteen three hundred forty three in two thousand seventeen and. And we're trending. What's what the current numbers? I mean, the current numbers are probably hit three three hundred this year. And so what I hear you saying is not only can't we attract these these officers to come on board. We're losing them releasing them at a rapid rate because the support they're not giving the unconditional support they're not giving the training. Kevin. I can't believe you were just talking about the the whole mental health issue and nothing existed prior to you coming on board. These are people that are probably experiencing post traumatic stress disorder and everything else. They're putting their literally they're putting their lives on the line every day. And for these things not to exist. Folks. I think you need to reach out to your politicians at you've heard the Commissioner say that it is the politicians it is it is the partisan of the finger-pointing and everything else. That's really I mean, we need to unify everybody we need to support the police we need to be out there behind them. We need to give them everything that they need to do to be successful as they can possibly be or we're going to have another guy coming and coming and going so anyway, give us a call four one nine two two six six eight zero. "Talking as always you can send us a tweet using the hashtag A O T L. So about that nightmare scenario, I mentioned earlier now what if the election really isn't over next Tuesday night. What if there are so many disputed results ballot challenges runoffs and slow vote counts that were left with a cliffhanger? It happens take the norm Coleman Al Franken. Senate race in Minnesota in November two thousand eight that election wasn't decided until June thirtieth two thousand nine after every available court challenge was exhausted. What should we be bracing for this time? Joining me from Washington is Dave Wasserman editor at cook political report and from Phoenix welcome back to post senior political reporter, Kevin Roper lard. Kevin Dave both of you. Welcome back to America on the line. Thank southen, Gregory back. Dave, let me start with you. How likely is any? Mutation of the nightmare scenarios. I laid out likely to happen. Well, it's certainly possible that we could emerge from election night, not knowing who controls the house, I think Democrats are a strong favourite for house control. Maybe seventy to eighty percent. But on a good night for Republicans, and we should caveat that. Democrats are are certain big games. He's a house on the least worst night for publicans. There could be some question as to several races that are very close on the east coast and the mid west, but also several races that might not be settled in California for several weeks. Personally. I love California's slow vote counts because it adds to the drama, but that might be a nightmare for party strategists who want to know who the speaker will be party strategists, how millions of Americans who want a definitive answer election night. So you sort of anticipated what I was going to ask you in terms of of slow voting where where could we see slow voting happen? California is notorious are there other parts of the country or other states where slow voting is just something that happens every two to four years. Voting. It's slow slow folk county. Yes. Yeah. Takes about a month to finalise all of its mail in vote returns. And oftentimes more than half of the votes counted beyond the election day, take a long time to determine victors and typically Democrats do better. In the votes are counted after election day, so even if they're trailing and a handful of races on election night there. They could make up that gap. Washington state is another place to look out for Kevin one of the nightmare scenarios. I rattled off was runoffs. What are the conditions that lead to a runoff? And of course, I'm thinking of Georgia and Mississippi start with Mississippi. So Mississippi is really where we would have sort of a nightmare scenario in this case, we wouldn't know who ends up with control of the United States Senate, Dave's nightmare scenario sort of relied on a very good night from Republicans or a relatively good night for Republicans. There's no real way. Republicans have a very good night in the house. This would rely on a pretty good to very good night for Democrats in when it comes to the Senate. If Democrats are able to pick up maybe one seat and sort of hold onto their others control of the Senate could come down to a runoff in Mississippi likely between the. The democratic candidate there who is a former congressman and agriculture secretary, Mike Espy and Mississippi's incumbent Senator Cindy, Hyde Smith that wouldn't be decided until December that could be a real nightmare knowing who would control the Senate you'd also likely see just a ton of money and resources from both political parties poured into that state in an effort to determine control of the United States Senate that said it is sort of an unlikely scenario again because it would ruin Volvo really really good night's for Democrats that just doesn't look possible considering how Republican tilted Senate map is in Georgia. You could see one of the most contested governor's races. Go to a runoff. That's between Democrats Stacey Abrams, Republican Brian Kemp. If neither one of them breaks fifty percent on election night that that race. We'll go to a runoff. Let me bring you back to to Mississippi one second before turning at my intention to to George. The the race in Mississippi. Mike Espy versus the incumbent. This is a big deal because Mike Espy the democratic candidate. Sydney, even be competitive in in a red state like Mississippi. No. Yeah. Yeah. It's it's a really interesting scenario for all this the come up. Basically, what happened is win Republican Senator Thad Cochran resigned. Earlier this year, he triggered a special election, which takes place under some sort of different rules than a typical Senate election would Mississippi part of that is including the runoff another part of that is that actually on these ballots. There's no party registration listed. So none of these candidates under Mike Espy's name. It does not say democrat under Cindy Hyde. Smith's name. It does not say Republican that really could end up making a difference, depending on how things break down the reason this is likely to go to a runoff is. Because Cindy, Hyde Smith is also facing a challenge from within her own party from state Senator Chris McDaniel, he is sort of an arch conservative. He was one of sort of Steve Bannon warriors who if you remember back at the beginning of the Senate cycle, we talked a lot about how bad it was going to try to run challengers to all these incumbent. Republicans McDaniel was going to be one of those challengers. He hasn't really raised the money that he expected to and at this point it looks pretty safe based on holding the SP Hyde Smith will advance to the runoff, but he's going to take away enough of the vote from Hyde Smith to make sure that neither candidate gets. Okay. Now now, Georgia, and you laid out the possibility of a of a runoff. They're one of the things that was we were talking about time all sort of blends together, a Kevin I don't know if it was last week or the week before where we were talking about the situation in Georgia with the. Registrations that were being held fifty three thousand voter registrations that were on hold and one of the things that came out was that whether you're a registration is on hold or not show up at the poll polls and file a provisional ballot. So talking about the difference between a provisional ballot and a standard ballot. And how that comes into play in terms of vote counting. And whether we will we will that will add to the suspense in Georgia in the Georgia governor's race. Yeah. So this could add to the suspense of whether there wouldn't even be run up spending on what happens here, so provisional ballot is basically used when there's some question about whether or not a voter is eligible to vote in virtually all states under sort of the help America vote act, which is backed back in two thousand and two after the recount in the presidential election in Florida. The voter castle provisional ballot almost all the time. So it varies sort of under what conditions you would cast one. And the thing is many of these ballots can be a challenge, and in some places it's contingent upon the voter to provide proof that they're eligible to sort of after the fact, so there's really lots of complicated way. Is this happens? It's very easy to see in a situation in Georgia where there's a lot of questions about how Kemp is handling this election because he is also the secretary of the state's chief elections officer. It'd be very easy to imagine a scenario where there's lots of provisional ballots cast perhaps and perhaps lots of challenges to professional, right? So when we started the show, I asked listeners to call in to say, whether they would be voting their fears this election day in six days or their hopes. Eight four four seven four or five eight to five five and Mark calling from Missouri. Mark. Welcome to America on line hopes are fears. Go on. Caller. This is going to be a rich. Nami Cavanaugh was the was the last straw. Oh. I've done a story in the walkaway movement. Go on. Heard you got do that. I'm asking you to tell I'm asking you to tell us, what is the walkaway movement, the whole movement of of Democrats that are just you know, they're done. Is fed up. As most conservatives are the craziness going on. Are we gonna play whether you're democrat or conservative or liberal conservatives accuse me party members of your party are doing things that are just agreed to speak out? And just. Stuck that has gone on? From some of these folks, it's just unbelievable. And when you say some of these things that have gone on. What exactly are you talking about? I know you mentioned you mentioned now Justice Cavanaugh is that it or the other things that you say Democrats have done that have made you quote walk away from the party. Well, you know. We caught and lose the election stole trying to dig up two years later. I mean just won't shut up about it. Was a whole litany of things. February camel's back. All right. All right, Mark. Thank you very much for calling into the show. I have not heard about the walkaway movement. Let's go to Nate in Milwaukee. Nate thank you for calling into America on the line. Hi, thank you. I am bowling both, my hopes and fears. Are you still there? Nate was saying he was voting his hopes and his fears and I'm hoping his called his call. We'll come back. So we can find out what they are. All right. We'll we'll try to get Nate. Because I really want to know what is hopes and fears are there in Milwaukee. But let's go to Alex calling from Rockland county, New York, Alex. Thank you for calling in to America on the line. Hey, thanks for taking my call until your question. It's more like fair. For the main reason screener, I feel like we don't have any check and balance has right now there everything is controlled by one party day. They do something even crazier. That's happening. Every day right now. Nobody has control. My personnel philosophy. It's more like. Republicans. But. Nobody can control the control, you know, the house Senate the White House, and basically the supreme court. So where's the check and balance on Seamount democracy? Alex. Do you hear from from your friends and neighbors and colleagues do they share your concern are do they or do they think things are fine where I live. It's mainly. I call it like Trump land I've seen mostly fall over there. Warlike voting for president voted for President Trump. Now, you walk into city and. Woking hospital. Most people are like they can't even watch the news anymore. So the point that we we don't know what to do. I don't wanna sound place. But it's like you can't keep up with the news. You know that better now. Conversation going to be another break. Somebody tweeted phone, Alex. I was gonna say, oh, I hear you. I'm not being able to keep up with the breaking news. But the the one way to fight fear and hopelessness and to entertain a hope is to go out and vote on November six Alex. Thank you very much for calling in NATO is back Nate from Milwaukee. Wisconsin before your call dropped you said, you're voting both your hopes and your fears. Now, I want to know what they are. Sure. Well, it's for my state specifically, whether or not we actually have a hung democracy in Wisconsin. We are one of those states that has been very heavily gerrymandered. So our state legislature, actually, doesn't represent the people all that. Well, because the people can all vote for one party and the other one's still holds power. Scott Walker is he loses this coming election will not be. Physician to sign off on another bunch of gerrymandered, baths, which he's indicated he will do is. He gets the chance, and that means we'll actually have the other candidate will put together he'll put together a neutral party redistricting. But that means we actually have honest elections again, which means that elections in Wisconsin would actually be accountable to the public, which I think would be great. There was actually a lawsuit about this. That's still going on in the courts Gil versus Whitford. And if anybody else wants to look at it there, a lot of attorney generals who I think Mike rigged elections got in on that too from places like Missouri, Ohio and Georgia, which are in the news all ready because they filed a brief saying, we should let states basically rigged their own election. So that people don't have say, which I think is horrible for anybody. Who basically want and the people's will to prevail Nate. I wanna thank you very much for calling in from Wisconsin. Those actually one of the states that I talked to former attorney general Eric Holder about in terms of his efforts to your point about redistricting efforts that his national democratic redistricting committee is is working on. Thank you again for for dialing back in and letting us know what your hopes and fears are I'm going to come back to Dave and Kevin Dave..
