"Here's some comments Humaid based on comments that you and I made last night. Wow. I threw his up. I have a tendency to throw step up on my Facebook Twitter accounts, which are linked. You can follow me on Twitter at big nanogram. Like me on Facebook at Bagram, and I'll throw the question up and then often not even get into the conversation on the air. But I find it interesting like when I wake up in the afternoon, the see something's got seventy commenter ten comments or whatever. And check out what people have to say. Well. Oh, who who was the? The part of the pre-game show with the eagles. I was Ross Tucker. Well, it's telco matoco was talking that field goals and how he hates field goal kickers. And it was up to him. There'd be no field goals. Okay. And I kind of feel that way often. I wish there the one. And then he kind of backed off it a little bit said. Well, I do a lease wish we were back in the day. Where players did the field goal kicking. Instead of just having this odd. Little man, come in and decide the game. So anyway, I think I post it. How would you feel about getting rid of the field goal together? It was complete unit unanimous. No, everybody said no you can't get rid of the field goal. And they brought up. Elliott's big kick from last year at Adam bidding Terry in the snow, and I get that. I do. I I don't like the kicking game. And how much is taken over. I don't know if I want to completely get rid of it. But I was not prepared for the overwhelming unanimous response to it. There wasn't one person to win. Yeah. I'm kind of with you on this. Big daddy. I'm tired of the field goal everybody. No, no. You have to have. Absolutely. Well, for what it's worth Fuego kickings probably going down. I would figure last year this year. The numbers are probably down for field goals kicked. Just because so many teams are going forward on fourth and one fourth and two fourth and three that, you know, it's it's just less of a less part of the game though, looking at Mike Michael to the numbers and find out if they went up or down. Nice go does. Well, look, I think the bears loss last week 'cause they attempt to that feel like they should have won for. Well, my argument to pitch an argument another way of looking at it. If you're saying it less field goals are being kicked on fourth and ones. I would venture to say there are more field goals being attempted from fifty five yards out. Then there were twenty years ago. Twenty years ago yet, but probably not five years ago because now people are viewing that as like the sweet zone of like going for it on fourth. I have about over sixty. More intense. I think that's only when there's like three seconds on the clock. I agree. But I still walk. I don't think you have to look at the numbers on this. I think there are more teams tenting such kicks then before years ago six yards. Forget about it. It's not it's like how you you'd think of eighty order today. Yeah. That total number is still as much it. Let's say it's a twenty percent increase from like eight years ago ten years ago, even still how many is that in the season. It's probably not even double digits that kind of increase. I don't know. Maybe maybe under twenty it max. I curious to find out if there were less field goals attempted last season were here before we can't obviously do this year yet we're soon to several weeks. Yeah. You could do that. Yeah. You could. All right. We curious to know about that. He was another thing. I take people are. I think I think this is a fact would you agree that people tend to be less compassionate via Twitter, Facebook and Email? It's so anonymous person. Yes. Yeah. Oh, doubtedly or calling a talk station. Doubtedly? Right. So why Foltz just beginning? Hammered least on my social media. Oh my God. Last night. I I made the horrible mistake. Of making a comment that Al Horford. Embiid's number, okay. And he does he now he's still put up a double double ten rebounds, and plus twenty points and work through hard and definitely contributed. The here's a guy. And I'm glad he said, I don't want anybody to think I'm not glady said it, here's a guy. Joel Embiid who came out and said he wants to be the most valuable player of the league, which would plate you certainly the talent to be able to do. So and I'm glad he said that I'm just saying this Celtics team was so getting on my nerves and Al Horford who's a quality player who just for whatever reason is flown under the radar for so long, but I think nationwide nationwide. If you're in Iowa if hearing Minnesota wherever you're at active when people take the great centers, the great big man in the NBA, no one brings them up. Atlanta will do that to you. You really who cares about the Atlanta Hawks ever even their best team. Now. I'm just saying. Yeah. But now he's like the fifth peace, and that's the tough thing for our. He's just perennially in situations where he's not a highlight guy. Anyway, I got hammered for making that comment. Yes. Did they watch the playoffs? You can not speak out in any way against Joel Embiid and his down. And I I didn't feel like I was that much. I'm just pointing out that Horford, he's not the least bit intimidated by or is his backup for the record. Okay. And I I think I got hammered more for that. Then I did more for for Horford. But I look I mean, you got is he Joel has a very difficult time dominating the Boston Celtics taking dominate so many other teams. Yeah. And Al Horford is just a a really underrated player in my mind. He's a quality guy. And he, but the point I'm making as nothing to do with that the point I'm making was. You nobody wants to hear any negative of that. Joel Embiid under any situation, whichever. Everybody loves him. I love him. He's a great player. He's funny. He's the whole nine yards. So I found aunt is making that little comment that you know, it would help. If Embiid could go out there and just destroy these guys. But he does. Well, yeah, it's not even just the scoring, but it's limiting turnovers when they go and double team him. He struggles with that still. And so you want to see him make passes, but there's a lot of complicated issues to make it hard from the do that in so Embiid, it might be a to beat is really genuinely is successful as he is against other teams is us against the Celtics might be a couple of years. And now, I wanna comment on something that I tease at the beginning of my show, then never got around to saying anything about it. And a couple of people actually emailed me said what happened that your comments? You were going to make about Levi Stubbs it was on yesterday. State Levi Stubbs who was to greatly singer the four tops sugar by Honeybunch. Yeah. You know, many of their songs Bernie dead standing in shadows of love and he died on on this date. And I opened up the reason why I want to date sloughed them, not only he's a great singer. But I had a little personal running kind of with them. I'm opening up for the four tops at the Keswick theater. And that Dana daily news. They had a picture of the four tops in the paper with Levi Stubbs now, he's their lead singer the other three tops their their top there. Stops. They sing good background vocals, but none of them ever had. You know, as the lead singer of a song under the name of the four tops, and he is the four tops Levi stuff. Anyway, I just finished my opening set at the Keswick. And now, I'm in place. My camera this before these things, I'm in place. Well, not that won't anyway, I'm interrupting myself, I'm in place with somebody ready to take a photo of me Levi stuff, and and the four tops and they finally come down the steps backstage to Keswick twenty minute emission between me. And then I know Levi Stubbs so well, I knew immediately. It was not Levi starts because he had been very ill to the point where he was going in and out of theaters and wheelchairs and whatnot. And he would give them all the credit in the world. He was still touring with the band because there would be nights where he would feel strong enough and healthy enough to perform it would be like a game time decision with with Levi Stubbs and the game time decision at night was he couldn't do it. I still have the picture Amine four tops. But I don't even know any other guy's name but ship out that's really unfair. That is that's stike. Oh my God. That's the biggest bummer in like when you're sitting there and the theme song comes on. And it's not curly champions thing. Dan, you get so frustrated, but that was my four top story and supposedly a fair amount of people, you know, quietly went to the back where the box office was and wanted to money back because the four tops when you know, and they did by the way, the Keswick theater date. Anybody who went and asked for the money back. They did they refund their money. It wasn't like hundreds of people. Did I was totally about twenty people went back and said, hey, you had his picture in the paper today. I was fully expecting the same. And they were nice about it. But that's my four tops. Levi Stubbs story. My man Vince, Quinn only how this is going to break down the eagles. Carolina game coming up this weekend a game that I. Is kind of. Here. It is. Thursday morning in a little bit here. And I don't feel there's been an overwhelming kind of conversation about this game. Nobody's taking him lightly on the Panthers. You shouldn't. I don't think you should. Anyway, we'll talk to Vince about it in just a moment. Sports radio ninety four w I p twenty twenty sports. I'm Jan Johnson. Eagles.

"Soundtrack to a movie, particularly a soundtrack as legendary as this. My God is it a legendary soundtrack. It just is. It's funny. I got an Email from somebody talking about they confused the music of this movie with the music to the exercise. Mike, I want you to bring that out. Now, I want you to find a non aligned version a studio version tubular bells T, U B U L A are tubular bells. Tubular bells with don't play yet. Just let me know when you have it. Tubular bells was is very weird. One two sided song was one song. Tubular bells. It took up both sides of one album by this guy. Mike Oldfield and back in the day radio stations actually played it, and it was kind of a of a hit. Well, the exorcist comes along and buys the rights to tubular bells and use it for a couple of scenes, and is no doubt my mind. John carpenter patterned the soundtrack of Halloween after this course, it's kind of like the same. Kind of sounding thing, isn't it? I mean, it's not the same notes. But it's definitely a piano based. Tinkling notes. And I I take carpenter went. Well, that's the kind of sound I want for Halloween. And I don't wanna say ripped it off. Kind of. But that's what you do always eighth going to steal feel the bass, and this was really cool PC music. So anyway, we watched Halloween together me and my wife on a. On sunday. And I hadn't watched it. From beginning to end. Uninterrupted by commercials and a long time and held that really good. Did it scare me as much as it? Did the first time I saw it now because I've seen so many times. You know, what's going to happen? Be four. It happens. The damn it was a great movie. I have a. I have tickets to to. Nate shows coming out if you're a tower power fan power powers touring with the average white pan. And this Friday, they're going to be at the Scottish ROY order him in collingswood and then New Jersey and then Saturday night. They're going to be the Keswick theater up in Glen Cy. There are two NBA players. I was surprised by this. There's two and only two NBA players who have won rings with three different teams to why am I bringing because thought Rajon Rondo is comments were interesting where he says he wants to be the first player ever to wear a ring. From the Lakers and from the Celtics. He's already wanted to ring with the Celtics. I he's not gonna win a ring with the Lakers, certainly not this year. But I thought it was cool that he said he, but if you can give me, and of course, you got to bring other conversation to the table along with it. We haven't barely touched on the eagles apart ain't gonna huge game coming up on Sunday. If you give me one of those NBA players, and you know, these names. Okay. It's not Harvey green black. I will take I will give you a hand. Neither one of them are in the hall of fame or will ever end up in hall of fame. But you do know these names, and I was really stunned by this that only two NBA players ever have won a ring with three different teams. All right. And I will reward you with a pair of tickets to tower power the first person.

I did, this show with a great pop culture writer any Feinberg Word the greatest the ten greatest number one. Hits, of the seventies now remember that hundreds of songs that were able to reach the number one spot on the charge. Sometimes you, songs only number one. For a week two, weeks in another sound becomes number one what, I did was I had it all pretty, now and then I highlighted any. Song that I, thought was worthy of being considered the best number one song and two I would it down to ten and this was one of, the Tang Gladys Knight pips well the spot away particularly on. This song For background singers they do a lot more than Oo in is they, actually tell the story of the, song and one of the reasons why it's always endured. As, it has is midnight train in Georgia Is a song about a guy who tried to make it in. LA is coming back, home having failed I. Mean, everybody has a dream sometimes dreams come true and sometimes they don't Gladys Knight thought this song. Was always comforting to people whose dream did not come trip now decline is night wrote it Ready by the name, of Jim Weatherly wrote the song came out in August nineteen Seventy-three now it helps that Gladys Knight was my. Mother's all time favorite female singer And I grew up in a. House around a parent my mother who was just a big. Gladys Knight fan It kind of made me. A big Gladys Knight fan I took my mother to see Gladys Knight and the pips Valley Forge music fair Billy Paul by the way was you. Winning act and it was a tremendous night and then I always. Felt bad about this 'cause my mother. Had passed at dish point I got to open up for Gladys Knight. And that was a major thrill even though I didn't get to meet her. She stopped I'll give it credit for this, she posed. For a photo with me then I since lost it's so infuriating and that I. Lost his photo I'm opening up for Gladys Knight at the Keswick theater and I'm on stage And ROY who ran the. Keswick he's motioning for me to stretch So I take that is no, one can find Gladys, Knight because when I went on. Stage no one in senior she wasn't even here. Pretty soundcheck she had somebody else. Who took care of, that no one had seen. Gladys Knight it's a Sunday night Packed, house Johnny sample was here I. Remember talking to Johnny sample after the show and. He he passed away about a. Week or two later Gladys Knight he's nowhere to be found and now I'm on stage I'm supposed to, do about twenty five minutes well I'm like twenty when. I start to see the stretch sign, which is putting your hands, together, and then. Out reach an extended. In both your arms at means stretch so I do now they're seven minutes and I get another stretch sign I do, another five get another stretch sign this twenty five minutes. Set has now turned into a forty, five minute set I'm doing great But, you know I'm in my head going I'd open up for. Many a great act. Audience audiences don't mind opening act if you're any good but they don't. Want the opening, act and forty five minutes then one. Gladys Knight so. Finally they gave me, the t. sine time time. To call it and I said thank you good night and. Walked off his Suming declined. It's night. Was there but. She's still not there half. Hour goes by and, she finally, walks. In the pain real quick gets up Montana on stage. I'm standing Whitear she's taking, her coat off I real quickly said miss Kenny Kenny I just opened. Up where you're gonna get a photo she. Didn't really say anything but you just kind of turned post for shot taken. Since lost him Kills, me that I lost that photo and then she went out and just Knocked it out of the. Park I, mean she really. Is one of the great singers in. American history my opinion she really is I just a major Gladys Knight fan, their song, starts off you original title of it. Is midnight plane to Houston not midnight train to Georgia midnight plane to Houston it's, actually record it, as midnight plane to Houston by the writer, of, the, song, then another band. And now I'm forgetting who the other not oh, Whitney Houston Cissy Houston records she's the. First one to change it to midnight train to Georgia and then Gladys Knight here's that version and then cuts. It and it's their biggest hit ever And goes to number one in August of nineteen, Seventy-three to, listen to my podcast or you have. To do is go to big nanogram dot com you'll cedar logo big nannies classic, tour down click, on that and there's hundreds of different shows, with, different, topics, different guest that. "Inverse effect zia people especially wealthy flights and rental cars which seem to be at the center of a lot of those are the type of things that people only use when they need to you don't go out of your way to take extra flights you don't go out of your way to take extra rental cars right you go because you have to utility two is utility play you ron you'll you'll do that less with an airline that you think disrespects your views near exactly right it seems like there's more downsize you're in terms of the bottom line for delta yeah and i would also point out that there's been a trending topic on twitter over the past week from nra members who are sharing their membership receipts they are joining because of these boycotts of companies that they like to do business i've seen a lot of that in fact was larry o'connor yesterday during the nra you see this mike larry tweeting out his picture of his of his nra membership yesterday joining the nra uh so there's larry o'connor joining the ranks end uh you know casey k goel who is the ten of governor in georgia he's running for governor he tweeted the following yesterday i will kill any tax legislation that benefits delta unless the company changes its position and fully reinstates its relationship with the nra corporations cannot attack conservatives and expect us not to fight back to your point amber the notion that this is not exactly a republican thing we offer you know tax incentives to specific companies and it feels like crony capitalism on the other hand this sounds like what republic old many republican voters wish that their lawmakers would do more often which is fight like democrats fight like a democrat which is use every tool at your disposal to get into these battles and that's what casey goals doing here he's saying it's time for republicans to fight back they need to you wanna cut off your relationship with the nra fine we're not going to give you a tax break change it then we'll talk again yeah i think you're right on this is a trumpian and development whereas they're they're into fighting the culture worse now you're right i think it is it is rather trumpian 543 here on wpro what do the king of prussia mall lego land keswick theater and the new founding farmers restaurant all have in common.
