Eichel shines in Knights return in 5-1 win over Penguins
"Jack, I can return from an upper body injury and provided three points as the golden knights thump the penguins 5 one. Eichel had a goal and two assists for the Western Conference leaders who handed the pens their 6th consecutive loss. He assisted on goals by Chandler Stevenson and Mark stone showing little rust following at 11 game absence. I was just excited to get back out there. He never like watching games. So I thought we'd put a really good game tonight against a good team. Phil kessel and Paul cotter also scored an Aiden hill stopped 38 shots in the night's third straight win. Ty Smith scored the loan goal for Pittsburgh and Casey the Smith made 26 saves. I'm Dave ferry.

"Is at the time you have him. And his streak is astounding, honestly, founding. Felt bad for him, right? Certainly understand the challenge of the Toronto Maple Leafs. I mean, it's such a big part of the game, and it was a successful challenge on Phil's 400th goal last night. But he'll get there. Can I butt in this? For sure. Yeah. Yeah. That challenge is that challenge is ridiculous. It's ridiculous. Not on Toronto's part. The fact that that can be challenged, I think the challenge should be within 5 seconds of entering the zone. Yeah. Because after that, that play, they didn't even know what they were, the commentators were talking, both broadcasts. They didn't even know what they were challenging. Because it meant nothing once the play got set up. And there was a lot to present in there too, right? There was a lot of possession in there. So you could do it on a timer, you could do it on a loss of possession, anything, but I hate that rule. I think it is not what happened last night. And again, it's not the least fault, but that's not the intent of the rule. That's not. And by the way, that call of 9 goals. It keeps them 9 goals behind me. Good. Which is also important here. Let's not get ourselves. We've all had fun with this. But it's a serious consideration. Phil kessel, Hall of Famer. If he were more of a media darling and embraced the spotlight, I don't even, I don't even know that there's a whole lot of debate, right? I mean, the Stanley cups are there, the longevity is there, the Iron Man streak hits there, had success, the world juniors, all that stuff matters. It's the hockey Hall of Fame, but is he Hall of Famer for you? It's hard. I'm going to say no. I don't recall. Has he been an all star? Not the All-Star Game. Has he been an end of season? No, no, no, no. First of all. And so the answer's no. And so to me, that stuff matters. The Stanley Cup strikes, I'm telling you matter nothing to me. And the reason why is you could be a player, a good player on a Stanley Cup team or a great player on a team that just doesn't win. Your goalie's not good enough. I don't know, you had injuries. Whatever it is. The Stanley cups are, to me, should not be on the should not be on the criteria list. Murray Wilson, Doug Wilson's brother has two Stanley cops. Should he be in the Hall of Fame? No. Doug Wilson is. Yeah. And that's no disrespect to the guys that win, but man, I don't know, there's guys that won four Stanley cups with the islanders. Should they be in because they won four cups? No. You're in because you're a great player. I think Phil to my standard just misses for me. Okay. You touched on the leaf game versus Vegas, did not go well for the leafs sloppy, ugly performance I would say is fair for Toronto. Turnover's mistakes. Matthews and marner, cat score. The bright spot was the play of ileus Sampson off. He kept it much closer than the game actually was. But do you subscribe to the calming sense of its stiller? Don't worry, auston Matthews is going to start scoring goals again. Mitch marner is going to chip in with his offense. You've got the Tavares line that's playing pretty well. Or more on the negative side of things, the defensive blunders across the board, not just the defensive core, but this team defensively and that blue line evidently doesn't appear to be good enough. Well, my concern level of marner and Matthews is about zero. Of the things to be concerned about, that's not it. I've said since the beginning of the year as much as we spent talking about the leafs goaltending my concern is their blue line. I just don't think it's good enough. And in that first period in particular, really most of the night, but Toronto's defense could not handle Vegas in the middle of the ice. Like their physical, like the defensemen couldn't handle. They couldn't handle Chandler Stevenson. If there was a given goal and they had to react on the fly, they couldn't do it. Hall gets beat with foot speed, but actually made a couple of really good plays. I just don't think in as a group that that defense is going to be able to stand up to the best teams. That to me is the point of concern for me. All right. Vancouver Canucks drop another one. Another sketchy third period. So where are we out right? And I'm going to give you three scenarios and you want to go off the board and say it's way more than that. That's fine. That's fine. So I'm going to say a, you continue to let it ride. And it gets progressively worse. And you have no choice, but to embrace what I describe as a hefty renovation. Because they've got too many good young pieces to really dive into a rebuild, I think. But maybe they do. So that's a, B would be, you find help for that blue line. And good luck doing that, right? Because anyone who's available probably isn't a significant upgrade. So based on where we're at in the season, that becomes a challenge. Or you look at the new coach or bringing in a new coach. Is it one of those three is that all of the above is it something else? Well, that's the problem is it's kind of all three. I think most of us in life would like everything to be one thing. This is the reason why that happened. The Canucks start is not one thing. It's many things together. The problem is fixing it, again, is not one thing. So you can say, yeah, you know, and I hear this all the time, improve the blue line. They should have done it in the summer. If the media guys are talking about improving the blue line, do you think the management has noticed? Of course they've noticed. Do you think it's that easy to go out and make a trade? In anything that happens. Some guy goes out for lunch and we hear about that they had to send a player down for cap considerations. Nobody has any room to do anything. So if you're going to renovate the blue line, you're going to have to trade somebody off your roster. You can't bring somebody in, even if you wanted to trade a draft pick, which they don't have very many prospects because they don't have a lot of they didn't have a lot of picks over the previous 5 years. So they got to get picks back. But if you're getting picked back, that means you're trading players for picks, which means that doesn't help you today. The story reality of coaching in a league is if you can't find the answer, they got to find someone that can help find the answer. The Canucks are paying two coaches right now. Travis Greene and Bruce boudreau. So it's easy to say it's not your money or my money. Oh, get a new coach. Maybe the owner doesn't want to pay three coaches. There's so much that goes into this. They're in a tough spot drinks because without Quinn Hughes without Travis dermott. Last night without Brock basser, there were mass. Yeah. They're a mess. They played that third period like a team that was I've been on those teams. You get in, it's one, one, you know, you're getting no shot, but Carolina does that to a lot of people. Carolina's really good. And they don't shoot a lot. The way they play. Yeah. Yeah, but before you can even get your second line on the ice, you know, your second shift, it's already two one. Then you get your, you make a change, and now it's three one. You're not getting four goals against Carolina very often. Right. And so that game, much as you can say, it wasn't played at flattered them the score flattered them. At one point it's one one, you need to win a crappy game. You need to win a game where you're getting no plate. And by the way, your goalie was terrific. That's a great sign for them. Can they fix it by Thursday? Probably not. But you can start inching your way forward, which is really all they can do right now. All right. Let's look at the Chicago Blackhawks. And we're looking at Chicago because Chicago is winning hockey games. So, you know, is this the old adage that pride can be an incredible motivator? Look, Luke Richardson, new head coach in the National Hockey League. I think he's doing a very good job with the Chicago Blackhawks. But you've got cast off like Tyler Johnson, Sam lafferty, Alex stalock, Peter morass, in goal. But the plan isn't to win, right? The plan was or is to be as bad as you can be because the draft in June is chock full of some real good pieces that are going to help you longer term. But when you're dealing with likes to patty Kane and Jonathan taves and some of the high character that they have in that Chicago dressing room, I think pride can be a pretty big motivator. It can, but I wouldn't worry about it yet. 82 games is a great equalizer. I don't think they're going to have to worry about the number of wins they have by the end of this. And if you get into a position that things are going through while you can fix that too by making a couple of moves and I see no I see nothing that tells me Kane is going to finish the year in Chicago. Like I just don't know why he would do that. Maybe I'm totally wrong. But I just don't think so. And so you subtract him out for a couple of draft picks and oh, there you go, he fixed part of the problem right there. Do you think Alex alux going to stop the puck like this the rest of the year? If he does, well, then you can pull the old buffalo sabers play from when McDavid and eichel were in the draft class. Anybody that could stop the puck, they traded them. And they put somebody else in there who until eventually got to a point where nobody could stop it. And then they were right down in the lottery and they lost. And they got high nominated. So there's the danger of all of that strategy stuff of trying to finish where you want is that it still gets to the lottery and I understand their plan. Get picks, draft, do a good job with development. Yeah. I think in time this will, this will straighten itself out. Okay. Carey price made headlines this week. Visiting with the available media in Montreal. You know, you still won't say he's done. I mean, why should he? He's a gamer. He has contract left, but he did admit in that media veil rate that day to today he's still in pain. Now, he seems at peace again based on some of the reporting talking about his history, the challenges that he's faced off the ice, but also disgusting the uncertainty of what his path is moving forward. I mean, man, talk about putting it in simple terms that we can all relate to. You know, literally said, I can't think about returning to the NHL. I don't know if I can return to the NIH. I just want to be able to carry my children up the stairs or down the stairs pain free, you know? I don't know if we should expect more. How can you possibly expect more if he could wave the magic wand and say, well, I guess I'm done. That's the end of my career, then he'd do it. He'd still sounds like he's willing to invest whatever he can to see if he can get there. Yeah, I mean, he's really the only one will know. Because if he gets to a point where he's feeling pretty good and he gets on the ice he might go, wait a minute, I can't even move like I need to move. It doesn't matter again what anybody else thinks. He has to feel and think that through. The one thing I would always caution somebody making this decision at whatever time in their career is, there's going to be a time you're going to be as old as me and you're going to start paying some bills. And I'm no different than anyone else that I played with. You know, I've got an artificial knee at 7 knee surgeries. I've got arthritis in my hands. If the weather changes my right ankle, I can tell you when it's going to change. Like, there's some bills to pay, but when you're playing, you don't understand that because the only thing that matters is the now. Everything you do is focused around the now. And I totally get that. I'm glad Carey price has the time to try and make that decision, but that decision is going to have to come from him. His gut his heart will tell him what the right move is. So many stories around the Montreal Canadians around the NHL on fact. Will be available everywhere very shortly and ray we're both very much very much looking forward to it. Yeah, a big fan, dregs, you know, I think the coolest part of our connection with Canadian club for me anyway is that I had no previous bias. I had no idea really. And got to learn a little bit through Tisch in the gang. Canadian club and I've really enjoyed getting to know about it. And it is delicious. I love it. It is wrap up the chronicles series. So look forward to it. And an LCBO near you coming shortly. We're going to get the headlines here momentarily, right. But you're a golf for that. If you play a lot, very good player. So season winding down here and in your area of Vancouver as well. Played with three buddies a week and change ago was beautiful day, royal Ashburn golf club here in the Durham region in Ontario. Finishing up on 18, my one buddy is, I'd say 20 yards right of the 18th grade. So there's a bit of a berm there, but you know, he can see the green, it's an expansive green, large green. My other buddy is on the far left of the green. So he's probably two pastas off the fringe. I'm not sure. I guess he wasn't paying attention. But the buddy in the far right just skulls. A lob wedge, right? He's trying to just bump and run this thing. Hits a liner off the soul of the club. And he screams. Look out. You know, I mean, you're not going to scream for when you're like 40 yards of parties. Like, look out. And what's your initial instinct when you don't know where the ball is coming from? Well, you know look around, right? You just can't put eyes on it. Will either move or you duck, right? So he covers his head. And takes it right in the side of the head. He had a cap on, but in the hole where the strap is. That's where he took that line. Is he all right? Automatically, well, he turns out he's all right, but automatically you want to burst into laughter because it's so absurdly ridiculous that just happened. That stuff happens, not all the time, thankfully, but if you're a hundred yards, 200 yards away from someone and you're getting anxious, you hit the ball, you hit it left you hit it right. You know, you scream for and hopefully it doesn't hit somebody, but it does. I mean, that's unfortunately part of the game. But this thing was just a screamer, right across the green. And poor guy gets hit in the head, doesn't go down face first, but goes down on both knees, covering his head, and I'm the closest to him. When I scamper over there, I'm like, man, you okay? I think so. But to finish it off the font because as we were getting ready for the podcast, we're joking about this. So once we realized he was okay, then the shenanigans unfolds, right? So later that night, we're all sending memes and gifts and everything we can. You know, the flintstone episode where Fred, you know, somebody must have bowling balls on it. Bowling ball. Balls out of the closet. That's right. But the doctor is the stethoscope and he's like listening to the top of the bump off, Fred. Okay, so anyway, if you're that fairer file, one 100% fair and if you don't show up next year for the first first round of golf with this guy wearing a helmet, you were dropping the ball. First thing I thought of was that there's no way you're not wearing a helmet when you're around. I'm not amazing. But you're talking about the guy who hit the shot when you're around him. The guy that took it in the noodle, I'd have that helmet on. Ready to play today? Safety never in his case, it would be one of those gimmick hard hats, right? Where you've got the straws and the two beer holders. That's what we're going to force each other to wear moving forward. Now, the guy that hit the ball get free drop or what happened. Well, that is actually excellent point by you. So none of us saw where the ball went. So I assumed it went in the car again as past the green leg. It just ricocheted off buddy's head into the weeds. So I'm like, well, there's a ball there right at the edge of the shrub. That must be it. He goes and he hits it, he walks onto the green. And again, in fairness, my body's fully rattled. He just hit another friend in the head with a golf ball. So I'm all ready to put, I think. And he sees all like 25 feet from the hole. He goes, guys, that's my ball. So we're like, yeah, you might as well play it. Goodbye. We didn't penalize them for taking the shot off friends head to 25 feet. The only thing that would have made it pure gold, of course, was if he had made the putt because he would have saved par off our Friends. Didn't happen. So there you go. I knew you'd appreciate that story. That's a tough one right there. Minding your own business and I want to hurt into the meat here we go. Headlines, once again this season, presented by our friends at Boston pizza. So many directions that we could go. But why don't we start with kind of a fun story, but an impressive one nonetheless, and that's, you know, Phil kessel, freaking nature. How else do you describe Philip 35 years of age? The Iron Man streak is now his and I don't think this is a bold prediction. I just don't see it ever getting touched. I mean, it's just such an oddity and pro sport in general to play that many games in counting. But then you read the stories of the people who have interviewed those around Phil in preparation for this Iron Man, which he now owns. And they all talk about how much candy he eats in the hot dog scarf and of course. And the fact that he works out and look, I mean, he looks good in Vegas. He looked probably as pita shape as he's ever been when he arrived in Vegas. But Morgan rielly talked about how incredibly strong he is and the fitness testing is always pretty high. You know, maybe the fat percentage gets a little off track on occasion, but home throwback is Phil kessel. You know, if you go back in the day when you broke into the national hockey, the guys like this weren't as rare as Phil kessel is today. Is that fair? Well, maybe in the way that their body was shaped. I mean, right now everybody is leaned out and feels just not. And but what wasn't common is the athleticism that he clearly had. There's all kinds of stories about him being able to dunk a basketball, being at the very top of any leg tests that they do. Gary Roberts tells this story that he's, you know, training in their group and they're doing these sled pulls. And you know, so it's a weighted sled behind you for the first 5 against stamp costs and guys like that fills in the front of the pack. First, the last 5, he's lost. So if you're looking for, if you're looking for Phil castle to run a marathon, you probably got the wrong guy. And there's

You know where he's going and he's just a guy kind of been avoiding and you know he's just going away earlier than i would like so i'm just not gonna have and and the funny thing is. He was my guy last year like i. You know i drafted. He was one of my higher players last year. this 'cause he kind of eventually got going. You know at the end. And i don't think i have any pies against him. I think i've you know grown past that. But he's just he's just not a guy and getting this year and i guess for sweepers breed you. Yeah i mean. I don't have any one sleeper like i'm targeting Well make quick. 'cause i told you live for this question you know so i gotta have right. I mean i will like in the back of the draft. A guy. I've been you know a lot of on my running back back then so i've kind of been You know just just like throwing some darts You know kind of late. Jerick mckinnon You know if he could he could just grabbed third down role which you know. It's probably not likely but you know at that point where you're drafting them. You know there's a chance after week one you're you're dropping him for somebody else or or you're dropping them pretty early but you know what i mean. He's definitely got talent. I mean he's turned that he can produce in just being on kansas city. And you know say something happens to you. H and he's definitely got that third down role i mean i think he can definitely It just being that often he. There's some potential there and kinda back to my point from earlier like you know when know. Look at the the past run like like last year. it's like like my hime hind jd. Mckissick i mean they were top twenty running back then. I mean they're just doing it slowly through the passing game so you can just get that that pass catching back and a good offense You know it's not gonna be you know you know number one running back production but it can definitely contribute to your team. A guy who really helped contribute to us becoming better drafters this evening. Was adrian kessel a nine time. Football guys players championship league winner adrian. You you got six of those under your belt in the last year alone. I know you're drafting. You've expanded your territory this year is pharaoh likes to say. I know you have bigger things in store for you this season. I wanna thank you for hanging out with us and chatting a little shop here with fantasy football. Good luck and all your leagues man. And we'll talk to you again soon. High great. I'm thanks for having me guys really really appreciate you. Have me on. take care of things adrian. Kessel thank you so much..

"It's like i love waller but you know he's gone. I mean i'll the go and the end of the first beginning of the second. I'm just not taking them there. And you know competitions always going too early for me I did actually get him. I think at three eight the other day which i was fine with taking their and you know and just one down the line they just all those hide in they just i mean they just go a little too early for me and intolerant kind of just been the guy i've been targeting like in that seven seven brown. It's all the points you just said You know with stafford in there ever gone and i guess it was what two years ago you had just absurd like five game stretch to end the season so i mean he's shown that he can that he can put it up so yeah i mean he's the guy that you know if i'm not able to get kelsey early like he is pretty much. You know my target and that that seventh-round area and you know and he is kind of like after him kind of i feel like that's where somebody before him. It's like i'm going to pretty much have to point this position like like the big time major. We've got a really great fan of the show. Real contributor fantasy football those here in in kentucky and then the f. fcc and i look forward to to win. Heat me at all girls in college where he can travel again his name's robbie thatcher and no matter you know when you kinda hit that spot in the draft and you're saying jeez i can't really find anybody like graft in this spot if it's in redrafts if i could trade draft position that trade down to give you some more big you know and then and it and fact my buddy will always say what about jarvis landry and i said to him i said he caught seventy two balls last year once he goes to do for me. How's he gonna win anything for me And i can't even believe that he caught seventy two balls in a year when odell beckham missed a big chunk of the season. So i'm asking you a player that i can't get excited about no matter. How much pets yells about What are you doing landry in dress this year. Do you ever see him. Escaping those sixty five seventy five reception numbers again and you know or or am. I just missing the boat because i missed a few day. Let me go. Well i mean dressed in landry landry you know i. It's never sexy. You know he's not going to He's not gonna be a y. You're not going to be a wide receiver. One for you. i do and i think he's a value though And i was kinda looking back at like some of my draft and a lot of times And you know and i've got a few teams and it seems like you know when i draft him. I've normally it's worked out to where i take in maybe running back back in the first round and got i mean the first and second round and maybe like a third one in back you know in the fifth round or something like that so and so it seems like when i've got like that strong core of running back It was just not my style. Typically typically i liked to just kind of have one sped running back. Just go for receivers like crazy and then just take a bunch of flyers on on running back but has just you know kind of like a standard strategy but you know the situations where i really thought up know running back early..

"In the financial industry like most harvard. Grads are supposed to those three players at tampa. What do you do with that tampa titan position. Well in a perfect world i. i don't have any of them but If if i've got to do it like i have gotten gronkowski and i wanna come through the early drafts. I did You know and were getting him. I think maybe around like tight and he was like the twenty fifth tight and also borders. There's so if i'm getting drunk. Hausky you know that late you know. I'm definitely you know fine with that and Whereas you know i don't like stacking my running back because i like to as many different backyards as i can. I mean it is very easy. You know to make you know bronx tied into and then just get. Oj howard as you're tied in three. You know towards the end of the draft you kind of just kind of just got that tied into just lockups so i think i might have done that on one of my teams but so i mean i don't mind that approach talking with adrian kessel here tonight a winner of nine football players championship six in the last year alone actually As well coming off a very hot year is mr kessel. Let's talk about the carolina. Panthers here sam. Darnold and terrorists. Marshall have joined the panthers this season teddy bridgewater and curtis samuel have left happy trails to them so between dj more robbie anderson harris marshall which panther receiver have. You phoned drafting more this year. Agent well i found myself drawn grasping the most robbie anderson Not i mean. I like them all though like for where you can get them You know it's just you know what. I'm sitting there like the back of the four or something like that and a mid four backboard and you've got you know. Prescribe one been cup tomorrow. All sitting there like kind of put more in that tier. And i'm not really like you know taking a stand like on any of them so you know maybe one day i'll draft one of them the next day you know draft other but like you know in the seventh round. I mean that's kind of. I met my even got lobbying or something like in the eighth around one time. But you know i. I mean at that point in the draft. It's like there's not really many other receivers that i'm considering taking at that point. It's just kind of like he. He seems like he just always also man. I'm just. I'm in love with them. But like i think he's a good. You know i think around like wide receiver like maybe thirty five thirty six somewhere in that round and a range. And i definitely think he can You can beat that. I think he should return some value this year and and hairs marshall i mean yeah i mean great talent for sure and i. I don't have any of them. I mean i definitely love the talent. Thank you can actually do have on like don guy did but yeah. I mean he he. Could you know he can really break out..

Think we'll just elevate the whole offense you know he's already got that report with him They're gonna be in there on third down to minute offense you know. They're not good. Their defense defenses good. It'll be in there with their trailing. Got two games against the titans and the texans. I mean their defense is stink. And i mean i think like most importantly if i and if he just comes out balling and it's just like sitting around not an early like i just don't think they're going to like you know women to you know they're drastic like james robinson like i mean. He's obviously played awesome last year but The guy that you know again like you know. i'm fine. wh where he's gone. It's just that brown you know gets here just the way my bills go. It's like normally. That's the spot where i'm looking at a receiver or or somebody's just take it. I mean somebody just usually always take them. You know a little bit before. I'm comfortable taking him. So i don't you know i don't you know fault anyone for taking him but i'm definitely or eighteen this year it I liked the way you describe it as a bit of a mystery. We'd baulky ask you specifically about the idea and selling to stack these two players. Can you buy into that Yeah i mean mean. I definitely can but i mean i guess like the best ball format. I don't really i don't play any best ball but like i'd be more comfortable doing it in best ball just because i know i'm getting a every every week comfortable in the best ball but nobody really say the same comfortable. We don't really play them. I tell you what we are right now. We are playing redraft and football guys players championship. I'm i'm on the slope. Baulky knows that whenever we have the show. I'm on the clock. And so i'm on the clock right and and so i'm in the middle of fifth round and i've got golladay in your man at the end. Which one should. I got two receivers running backs on the roster. We're in good shape so far at the and i'm going i'm definitely taking achy and not even realizing questions how many i'm pushing the button right now and i'm moving on to another puzzle and another mystery. I don't care what who. The hot running back is in jacksonville at the quarterbacks doing in green bay what who's getting injured wherever they might be getting injured in elites there's one thing that you could always been on whether you call it a puzzle or you call it a mystery. "Packers for sports illustrated He said that the west case super book recently closed all its nfc. North markets including projected wins playoff division. Lines in weekly lines for the division teams. One oddsmaker at the sports book said via twitter direct message to other sports books contacted that he contacted after. This said that they expect. These are two separate sports. What they expect that rogers going to announce his retirement before the packers. I practice on wednesday in response. One of those sports books push out its prices on the packers to win the north and shorten the odds for the other teams it also shortened the odds of homes winning the nfl mvp. This kind of started with twitter direct. Message farrell Huber as as he is in an intrepid reporter went out and saw Opinions from two other sports books and they're basically saying the same thing so i don't know where it originated from from the sports books but that's where it originated from the story on on this On this on this news well. I think i know where it originated from a very very smart guy. Probably an auditor guy like adrian kaz. He comes into work and he says you know what guys it's heating up people were coming to las vegas football camps opening. We don't know damn thing with this. Rogers guy is gonna do and you know what we don't want to take this action on either side of it. We just don't want it. And adrian adrian your Your your connection. Your you're alter-ego there in vegas came in and shut all that down because i know guys. Thank you when you see talent and when you see football players i just i just know. You're seeing numbers things. I can't see so that's what you say. You're you're gonna stick with. Aaron jones as a second round draft pick. Adams obviously has fallen four years. At least he hasn't been in consideration. Will you then move out of green bay and talk to me about some other elite receivers like digs hill Hopkins how far do you go down so for you. Hit the button input adams on your team who well. I've been to this point. It's been you know. probably if he were there. You know the end of the second round. Kind of after the ridley hopkins aj brown. That's kind of where i was taking him. You know at this point. I mean i'm still i mean i don't know i guess i'd have to be in that exact relation to know. "Now this is a guy who averaged seven and a half catches ninety two receiving yards and point nine touchdowns per game not over the last year over the last three years after the match. Neither who actually covers the packers says the packers quote. Don't wanna recognize the hopkins deal when considering the atoms extension right now. Hopkins makes a little over five million more a year than atoms. And i think when coupled with we got the breaking news right before the the show tonight from bill hubert from sports illustrated That A lot of these sports books in las vegas have taken. The packers wins Over under off the board because they expect aaron rodgers to announce his retirement next week. Now farrell i i. It's stuff like this when it comes out. I usually kinda take a breath. I wanna let the news marinate a little bit before. I you know you start attacking it and using it to my advantage but knowing what we know now with rogers knowing what we know now with atoms. How concerned are you for the packers this season. That's a good one. You know you nnounced to some inside information that rogers was having his His Wisconsin home cleaned. Maybe he's right in it for the market. We thought he was reading to move in Maybe he retires shakes off the dust of the green bay packers and goes back to football the following year. I bought you know you're right there in the pulse of this i shouldn't even comments and actually just listen to you. I'll throw it back at you. The packers are not anywhere near the second team. If they don't have this quarterback he's you've got him business with the first round wide receiver the second running back and if you got in business with rubber chunyan All these players suspect to what they can be able to produce with any other quarterback that The packers have on the roster of the united sure this roster now from a contractual standpoint with atoms. I don't understand what's happening in that front of or any for an office. That won't hey your elite players because as soon as you pay them. The next team has to pay them and the longer you can get away from the deal you did your deal look smarter. You remember when derek carr was the top bay quarterback in the nfl raiders. Fool around. they came out there and the big deal and it's been left in the dust and that's the way you get to get into these situations. Dallas should have paid prescott sooner it. It it's a but they're very happy to pay now but now he's the best quarterback or the top quarterback pay football so i don't understand The you know you gotta you gotta salary cap. "So i look at this team and i say you know we've got a player that has been productive productive against the meat of the schedule early. He can catch a few balls. Statistics are very similar to camakers. His combine numbers very similar taste acres. Someone told me he said look they never would have drafted cam acres in twenty twenty if they liked what they got henderson in twenty nineteen. And you know i to roll my eyes on it. Because of looking at a situation where they're building football team Henderson was a third round pick acres was the second round. Pick now if you wanna talk. A little bit about xavier jones I was aware of the players because he did not yet come by invite. He's one of these guys that puts up huge huge huge offense of numbers in college. But he does is against east carolina pulsa north texas. You really can get to the outside. He's really got a good quickstep. Get into the outside but you wonder against the type of athlete that you're seeing on field. He's playing notre dame. He's playing in the sec so he looks a step faster than all these players but he should be I watched him and break away He ran for a long time in the film. But it's on youtube highlight. If almost look at it. I didn't see that this year i saw player get away but also players solve players. It's with the wrong leverage. That could not get to him but they were gaining on it. I think he's good player. I think he's going to get some opportunities. But i don't think he's anywhere near The handcuff or someone that you should throw a dart at and expect that he's going to pick up those Those non garo henderson opportunities but the henderson opportunity to me is Is very very strong with this claire. Fourth-round i was gonna draft into football guys this week. Someone beat me to it so he's going a little earlier clearly. People listen to the proser joe's coverage from us barrel because his his adp has gone up a half. Sometimes even a full round daryl henderson going us still as late as five nine over the last few days but he's gone as early as the three. Oh nine on average. Still the end of the fourth round xavier jones is. You're talking about him running back sixty. Now that's six zero on average at the fourteen eleven. That is daryl. Williams soman j. p. ryan james white and tarik cohen territory. So david jones. Making a name for himself. They're moving onto green bay Feral ian rapoport had a report of today. That's bonsai atoms and the packers have broken off. Long term extension talks The proposals. I apparently behind the scenes. According to rappaport do not acknowledge adams as he will become when he saw when he signs this be highest paid receiver in the game..

I have to deal with that with my parents every day. So well i think. I got parrots on this. I don't know why. I'm not siding with them either. So it's just with you know with covert right now trying to find a stable job when i already have one with some really decent Benefits and stuff teacher. It just doesn't feel like a risk. So it's just the other go into basically construction right and construction right now completely on hold because of because the cove it so perhaps perhaps better off going up around me. Because i want to be on the breast of mutual pessimism and so i had a double impact They're expanding balloons. They fill up period of time. So it's quite a long process. And then it very. Angie left with silicon implants in your breasts. They are hard. they are solid. They look just like bulls on your chest. But i can have my nipple say because a lot of people go through the surgery on removed every single paul. The best I actually had nipple tattoos done in my local hospital which are quite basic. Because they're not masturbate experienced an artist. And i i was happy at the time of what i had. It gave me something And then i came across vicky. Who contacted myself. Ashley through I i run t- pages on the press and one and a great poem with an nicky secondary sisters and I think the key context does both but nikki hasn't actually had any surgeries for have had a counselor and so i jumped to the challenge. She said what. I like to come and have some tattoos done as i say i'd already had some done by the chest and i didn't really know what the difference would be but i thought i'll come along and vicky i'm just the experience was actually incredible because what vicky does create Not only you know a a nickel tattooed. But it's three. It looks will. I would describe as absolutely realistic. She just takes so much time in ca- over over at work and that's why as all black and we actually filmed the whole process. I'm not she. Put you out on our instagram channel. Which the responses. Incredible because people didn't know this existed they didn't realize they could have it done and for someone who's completely flattened with nipple to have something that looks realistic. When you're looking at it just completely changes the way you see your body. Let's bring vicky in these three d. tattooists this artist. What is three d. tattoo. Vicky okay so a tattoo is where we use artwork to create the illusion of actually having a nipple because some women can have a nickel created with surgery. But it's that one mobile operation or maybe the skins to tie. And i think women not owen. But i think some women just they don't want to be constantly having nickel sticking out for a stall and they don't want to go back in and one more seizure so by using artwork we create the look of a three d. nipple so it's just using Five colors on obsessed with making it as realistic and physically possible. How you practice. Where do you practice throwing them. Okay so Initially our practice on my leg on like tattooed nipples on your leg as it stands right now. I have to exposed i. I'm sorry. I feel it's important if you're trying to new technique or new pigments to me as an artist. I want to see how it was in my skin. I understand that is not the same as radiated skin but the nearest closest thing. I can get to check their heels nicely. And then secondly are manufactured these hyper realistic reynolds which may make a breast as much as possible which we use fresh students. You really also offering for your art on your but it's good talking if you wearing shoals marshon does enjoy holiday with me very much now..

"We're not gonna do it that way anymore. So what happened on that tour. How did they win them over. Well in reggae. Ot has a theory actually prepared carefully for this moment many months before when instead of hiring coders from silicon valley to make this tanker tool he called up his friends in the air. Force people. I at hey do you know any airman. They know how to write code at. I was able to find these six. And why did you want airman in particular. Who i know our airmen in. They're women but why did you want them as opposed to getting coders from right there in the valley it was to make a statement if we had grabbed coders from silicon valley. Come in and do this. They probably would have done it faster. I'm sure if i would have been better quality we'd pick the right coders but then the air force and senior leadership would have looked and said. Oh well this is just the same. As outsourcing contracting. There's nothing new here. Where you making this statement consciously when you did that yes. It was very conscious and riquet. Said he'd realize something. In all his efforts at diplomacy he needed coders that military people could trust. Good quality offer actually requires trust acquires. The leaders and the users to trust at that software development team is going to build what they need and i felt the best way to demonstrate that was with military members. Steve program office boss says yeah. That was nice to see coders from the air force. But it wasn't what changed his mind. What really shocked steve. We're just seeing how this office worked up close and that's what d-. Iu was intended to do right. Expose the department of defense to new ideas d. i. u. x. which is now just called. They've dropped the x for experimental was created by the secretary of defense with this idea that the military needed more proximity to silicon valley. That was the part that was really shocking. To me is that the department of defense had to learn this from completely outside the department which very quickly leads to the next thought which is what else do we not know about so actually on that same trip to san francisco. The program office people and and regain his team. Go into a room and decide what they're going to name this unit because in a very silicon valley way it's important to have a cool name and the cool name that they come up with it by popular vote is kessel run. Which of course everyone knows he's reference to hans solo speed record. You've never heard of the millennium faulk should i. It's the shit that made the kessel ronin lessons will carson. I'm not running star ships. One of the models they have now is that we make products that airmen love to us which is such a silicon valley. Thought right okay. People are going to love to use this product. I don't think anyone ever in the entire history of the. Us military thought about loving that many pieces of military hard or software kessel run isn't just doing the tanker tool anymore. The air force tasked them with the whole upgrade of the air operation. Center and kessel run is inspired spinoffs in other parts of the air force and other branches of the military. Steve were now runs. Kessel run and when people from the pentagon come to visit. He's the one who gives them the tour we have nearly every week. Distinguished visitors visiting kessel run. Everybody wants to see. It's open collaborative. Space there's food snacks ping pong and foosball table. Aveer tap of course and then invariably those tech tourists leave and they don't necessarily support. The budget kessel runs been nearly zeroed out a couple of times. That's the frustrating thing is realizing how much visibility it's getting and how supportive senior leaders are versus the sort of budget process that disconnect this frustrating the old way of acquiring software is still the norm.

"Let's move on to star wars. Let's talk about <hes> this rumor that you and mcgregor mcgregor might have signed on to reprise his role as obi wan kanobi h._d. Would win. Yes a new rumor has surfaced that union gregor has signed on to star in an obi-wan-kenobi series <hes> and this is something that <hes> may or may not be announced that the d twenty three expo. That's coming up but <hes> it's a rumor that came from a report from cineplex <hes> and they don't have many details for now except that gregor has signed on to star in some sort. It'll be one kanobi project but <hes> we don't have anything concrete at the moment yeah well. This is a new rumor. We've been talking about this for. I think over a year now there's been rumors that there might be over wan kenobi standalone spinoff film when they were doing a star wars stories which looks like they've abandoned at this point and <hes>. There's been rumors that they were going to do a series. Here is a wise idea like because. I feel like i feel like disney's taking taking the wrong lessons from solo star story and i think the lesson they're taking is that people want less star wars which i don't think is necessarily the case. If you look at marvel you know marvel was doing really well and they're doing three upcoming four films a year. I think the lesson is that like they want new characters actors in new stories. But what do you think all. I think obi wan <hes> obi wan didn't really get his due in the prequels of of these he was really popular. Character and people wanted to see more of him and <hes> <unk> fans have been kind of <hes> jostling four and obi wan kanobi movie movie or series for a while now and i think that if you mcgregor was sign on than it would be successful than the solo movie because solo did have <hes> <hes> what's his name alden iron rake starring and he was much less a much more of an unknown than even regular <hes>. I think that it could work and it could have. It's a it's fans. <hes> i do think that people do wanna see new star wars but at the same time i think gets too early to say what lessons disney's taking for now because we don't really know the plan for <hes> their star wars projects in the future at least not until possibly probably in a series of announcements at twenty three yeah. I guess my my my biggest problem with us. I like you and mcgregor as leon and i would love to see him reprised that role but is there really story to be told between you know revenge the seth and <hes> star wars a new hope like he's in the middle of the desert of tattooing like water yeah. He's he's watching luke from afar like chris. Is there any story to be told they're like is he. Just like uninjured taking out people that are coming after luke like i don't know i. It sounds kind of dull yeah. I mean if they were to do this. I would like it to be like a completely completely standalone thing like i don't wanna bunch of winking references to stuff we are like i didn't dislike solo but we didn't need like oh. Here's how the kessel run happened and like. I you know if you wanna make a movie. That's just like obi wan in the desert doing his own thing. It has nothing to do with luke that like that might be interesting. They may make like a western something or something like that with o._b. Wanted it but it just going to be about him. You know watching over luke and reflecting on his past and i don't. I don't think we need that. But what do i know yeah yeah i don't. I don't know <hes> i mean maybe there's a way you know solo star wars story. I know there's a lot of fans that fell out there. They've they've made this movement which is not as loud and obnoxious as the <hes> release. The snyder cut movement but they're trying to get solo to happen which i don't think it's ever going to happen me. Solo left things is open for the story to go. There was like a continuing storyline that <hes> you know was promptly stopped because they're probably not gonna make a sequel.

Using Black Holes as Fuel
"Been a lot of great research lately into alternative energy sources, but one energy source that might be even more awesome than solar and nuclear energy is black hole energy and one mathematicians suggests that we might be able to find extraterrestrials by looking for spacecraft that are powered by tiny artificial black holes as reported by universe today. This idea comes from a pair of papers published by researchers at Kansas state university in two thousand nine a mathematician, named Louis crane co authored a paper about the possibility of black hole spacecraft, basically, the paper outlined the possibility of using hawking radiation. From an artificial black hole to power a spacecraft and concluded it was at the edge of possibility assuming they could get past the effects of quantum gravity, which are currently unknown. Here's how Dr crane explained it in an Email to universe today. Quote, an advanced civilization would want to harness a microscopic black hole because it could throw in matter and get out energy. It would be the ultimate energy source in particular, it could propel a starship large enough to be shielded to relativistic velocities. None of the starship concepts. Nasa studied turned out to be viable. It might be the only possibility unquote to produce an artificial black hole you'd have to focus a billion tonne gamma-ray laser to nuclear dimensions. So the sheer scale is straight up beyond the current world economy. A civilization would have to utilize an entire solar system to have the resources for this. Meaning it would have to be a type two civilization on the Carter chef scale, and that's just one of a bunch of technical challenges that are beyond what humanity could. Do right now, including the sheer amount of power. It would take to start up that gamma Ray laser, and we're that energy would be stored. But in February twenty nineteen Dr crane published a new paper that says we can use gamma telescopes to find evidence of spacecraft that run on tiny black hole fuel. We could use space based telescopes like the Fermi gamma Ray space telescope and ground based facilities like Veritas, and the high energy stereoscopic system to figure out if gamma Ray sources could be artificial up to a thousand light years away. It's an exciting DEA but species big so trying to be patient. This could take a while. I just have one question about these spacecraft powered by tiny black holes can the do the kessel run in less than twelve parks. I don't know it just break your brand you did just break. My,

What is a Parsec?
"Sect is a real astronomical unit of measurement with cool origins. Yes. It measures distance not time. Yes. The term was used improperly in the original Star Wars. Yes. I will. Absolutely get to that in a few minutes. No, Ashley, you're not getting out of this one. I love Star Wars that I'm cost played Star Wars character. This is true. Well, we're all gonna love stores by the end of this. Here's the deal. One person is a quivalent to three points to six late years. That's nineteen trillion miles or thirty one trillion kilometers, if that seems excessive that's because it absolutely is. But when it comes to measuring astronomically large distances between. Objects that are beyond our solar system. Excessively large is just right. I said beyond our solar system, by the way for you to travel one parcel from earth. You would have to go from here to the sun and back two hundred six thousand two hundred sixty five times, I told you it was big the word purse that comes from two words Pera lax and our second para lacks describes when an object's location seems to have changed because your location changed. Astronomers use para lax to judge the distance of object in the sky, if you know, how far the earth has moved and you can measure how far the object moved across its starry backdrop you can judge distance. You actually use parallel to judge the distance of things all the time. You're too is see the world from slightly different angles, and your brain crunches, the numbers to tell you how far away everything is from you. The second half of Parsi refers to an arc second in arc. Second is part of a measurement of an angle. You know, how a circle is three hundred sixty degrees. Imaginer standing with a full view of the horizon around you if you sliced the horizon into three hundred sixty degrees each degree would be about twice the width of the full moon divide one of those degrees into sixty pieces, and you get the width of an arc minute divide. One of those up by sixty again, and you get an arc second. Putting it all together. A par sec is the Pera lacks of one arc second. In other words, if an object in the sky moves by one arc second when the earth moves by one astronomical unit. Then the object is one par cycle way to put that in perspective. Proxima centauri is the star. That's our closest neighbor, and it's one point three par away for more perspective the millennium falcon made the kessel run in twelve par sex, and I'm sorry pedants. But before you go criticizing stores for this, quote, unquote mistake, I you need to understand what the kessel run actually is you'll feed skip forward thirty seconds or so if you can't handle my nerdiness in Star Wars, Ken. In the kessel run is a route used by smugglers to transport in illicit substance from minds on the planet kessel through a region of space that belongs to the galactic empire. So it's an illegal smuggling route. And this route includes a cluster of black holes known as the Ma as you know, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. So when Hans solo said he made the kessel run in twelve par sex. He was referring to his daring knish and piloting skills and the sophisticated computer on the money on falcon that he was able to use to navigate close to those black holes while not getting sucked in I was aware of this reading books from the Star Wars expanded universe. And I was a kid, but thanks to Disney. They are no longer canon. But they also address this in the twentieth. Eighteen films solo Star Wars story, which I still have not seen. But they address all of this after the movie happened. Does doesn't matter doesn't make just made it up afterward to make that line? Okay. To work. No, still works. That is art. That's how you craft a story. I think this is the biggest debate we've ever had in this.

Is there a difference between weather and climate?
"Do you know the difference between the terms weather and climate? It's an important distinction. If you follow science news, and we've gotten a lot of questions about it lately. So today, I've got you covered as reported by the conversation weather, basically refers to stuff happening, right? This second like cloud, cover and temperature. You know, the day to day conditions of the atmosphere. Climate is a more macro view. It describes the average atmospheric conditions over many years. In fact, the World Meteorological Organization says that figuring out a climate record. Takes a minimum of thirty years of data. This includes things like average annual rainfall overall direction of the wind or what time of year, you're most likely to see snow. Here's. An analogy that might help. It comes from Jennifer Fitchet, who's a senior lecturer in physical geography at the university of the Witwatersand. The climate is like your wardrobe. You got a winter coat and scarf, or when it's cold flip flops in shorts for when it's warm and everything in between whether is the individual item of clothing you choose to wear you change what you wear from day to day. If it snowing you put on boots, and if it's really hot you might wear sandals. The thing is everyone in the world doesn't have the same wardrobe. If you live right on the equator, then you probably don't have a winter coat, and that brings us back to weather and climate the conditions in one place are different from the conditions far away from wherever you are. Here's what that means for how we can understand climate projections and climate forecasts the weather forecast, you see on TV or on your phones weather app is there to help you figure out what to wear on the other hand climate projections. Tell you what scientists think the climate will be in forty fifty maybe a hundred years climate projections are a war. Warning that we might want to change up our wardrobe. Maybe we won't need such heavy coats. And maybe it's a good time to pick up some shorts or umbrellas or raincoats. There's no need to switch up your whole wardrobe overnight. Just take your time look ahead and plan and adapt and hopefully stay dry a sect is a real astronomical unit of measurement with cool origins. Yes. It measures distance not time. Yes. Obviously makes Cody happy, you know, who else is happy by most metrics Scandinavians, the annual world happiness report consistently rates the Nordic countries of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland among the top ten happiest nations. So today, we'll wrap up with some life philosophies from Nordic countries that might make you a little happier in your own life. I is hugging. The Danish concept of Hooda translates to something like coziness of the soul. It's the feeling you get when you're snuggled up under a blanket with a loved one drinking cocoa by the fire as a life philosophy. It's all about allowing yourself guilt free indulgences, especially when the world is dark and dreary anything from getting together with family and friends for a meal to spending time on your own reading a good book like from the Star Wars expanded universe to sand. The next philosophy is Logam logo is a Swedish word that roughly translates to just right or optimal. You probably heard the saying everything in moderation, including moderation. That's what logo is all about. Whether that's how much sugared add to a batch of cookies or how much of your life. You devote to your work. This philosophy urges a healthy balance. That doesn't swing too far in any direction and one other philosophy is see sue. It's a unique finish concept. That's about persisting through challenges until you reach the end the term roughly translates into English as a strength of will, determination perseverance and acting rationally in the face of adversity. It's not about courage in the moment. But the kind of courage that has to last over time after inspiration has sputtered out.
