"And if you watch that video It's literally people from every corner from every race from every gender and everyone is feeling the same thing This is this is not a one-side issue every one of us that is an average person of average means is starting to feel the pain because of inflation and It's absolutely disgusting that people are trying to frame this as it's a one-side versus the other side. What do we always say? It's not left first, right? It's orange versus green and It just it's really incredible that there has been such a vicious reaction to the song Of course as we always say memes are powerful because they have truth behind it and of course musics is nothing but memes set in motion via Frequencies and sound so absolutely love to see this and you guys know me like I think I've been saying this for a while on The show I am a huge fan of three chords in the truth. I've been list That's my favorite music. I think folk music is awesome it has a way since I don't know the dawn of time basically to spread the message and I think that it's awesome to see that there's still some musicians out there that are doing what I think music has the power to do which is put truth with Vibrations with sounds with melody and spreading the truth that people can easily digest There's something to music that it puts you in a trance and then when you put truth on top of it it seeps into your psyche and It's just it's it's a one of the best ways to propagate memes. So It's awesome to see that this guy I think is what's his name Oliver Anthony? I think I think I called him a different name during the week just because I have a bad memory But it's really awesome to see that this message can go viral and I think it kind of goes into the idea that there's more of us out there that are feeling the same thing that are Seeing and hearing the same thing and we're all kind of waking up to this Notion of what is going on? This is absolutely ridiculous How come we're in this position and I think that's the first step is asking these questions It's realizing that something is wrong again I say it all the time most people know what the problem is, but few people know what the solution is and Obviously as a bit corner, we know the meme fix the money fix the world So it'd be awesome. If this guy Oliver Anthony becomes a bit corner whether he's already a bit corner I know I saw a lot of bit corners on Twitter trying to orange pill him So hopefully he can get to the problem get to the solution because it does start on a grassroots Level and as we can see the reaction from him going viral that more people are feeling the same thing Everyone is waking up to the same idea that you are holding melting ice cubes if you are saving in dollars And there needs to be a solution and we have the solution it is Bitcoin but on another point it's absolutely awesome to see this song as a timepiece like capturing the zeitgeist of the moment and the feeling that everyone is feeling right now and just How crazy the world has got it just it makes me hopeful. I love three chords in the truth It make you know that hits me in the soul like even when I heard it today, I'm so glad we covered it I got like shivers and chills and the goosebumps just it's just such a great song So shouts out to him and shouts out to propagating the memes and spreading the message that inflation is stealing from all of us guys This is the fundamental problem in the world right now. What's a fossil? He said it's 11th grade math and they have to continue to print. Well the more they print money The broker you will get this is as simple as it gets That's the point of Keynesian economics is to complicate the matter and the matter is very simple as you expand the money supply People holding that money get poorer. This is the simple economics of this. Don't let them confuse you Don't let them make this into a partisan issue We are all affected by the fact that our money is becoming worthless and you need to find a solution and that solution For us is obviously Simply Bitcoin you need to hold some Bitcoin because this is the only way to protect yourself right now. Well, he didn't really just say I told you said told you so he said I really really want to say I told you So well here at simply Bitcoin We will say we told you so but anyways What is it what was named Bukele referring to he was referring to this tweet by Bloomberg that said El Salvador president I'm Bukele scared off Wall Street by embracing Bitcoin two years later the bond rally He's overseeing is proving too lucrative to resist It's almost as if countries that adopt a Bitcoin standard Start feeling the same effects as people who start Adopting a Bitcoin standard and don't tell me that it's a coincidence. This is no way this is a coincidence And remember like don't bury your head in the sand. Remember what the IMF said the IMF said it twice, right? They said it the first time they said this is gonna be terrible for the country and then earlier on this year when they no Longer could keep that narrative They kind of had to change tune a little bit. This was February 11 2023 and This came out today Bitcoin touting Bukele's bond rally draws JP Morgan and Edon Vance, so before we get to that article, I just want to read you this Barron's article Let's get some of the IMF's takes anyways Goes on to say the International Monetary Fund has warned El Salvador The only country to adopt Bitcoin as legal currency against the risks involved in expanding its reliance on the cryptocurrency The warning came in in a report Friday that followed an expert's mission to the Central American country I just want to highlight that word experts Right. It's after the experts came they warned it. Okay, let's see. Let's see what those experts are also doing Let's take a look at Argentina There's a Coindesk article that we referred to a lot to rub it in the IMF's face Argentine Congress approves IMF deal that would discourage crypto use Argentina took that debt deal and Argentina is currently enduring a hundred and fifteen percent inflation and The country that did not listen to the IMF. In fact, it said fuck you to the IMF. Let's take a look at this headline Bitcoin touting Bukele's bond rally draws JP Morgan and Edon Vance It's almost as if the IMF was wrong and that expert made himself look like a fucking fool maybe because he was a Kenzie maybe because he's a Kenzie in I don't know but Conclusion you can come up with I mean at this point if you guys want more information about this topic I really recommend reading Alex Gladstein's book hidden repression is great Really goes dives dives deep into that There's also another book that I saw in the chat someone mentioned confessions of an economic hitman Is the IMF really really looking out for these countries best interests? That is my question to you And if the answer is no Then why the fuck should we care what the IMF has to say? That's I don't know This is just a thought so it goes on to say it found that a Salvadorian growth has been robust last year But that vulnerabilities including the linkage to Bitcoin remain El Salvador in September 2021 adopted Bitcoin as legal currency alongside the US dollar Texts every president named Bukele advocated the move as a way to bring more Salvadorians many of them lacking bank accounts into the formal economy But the IMF and World Bank warned that doing so could leave the country more vulnerable to money laundering and other illicit activity that could affect underlying stability And then they go on to say while risks have not Materialized due to the limited Bitcoin use so far So it's not like anything though.

The last three minutes it's been hard to keep up the Nats were hoping to get back on track against the Red Sox tonight and Kenzie Gore was doing his part six and a third innings, one hit, two walks, seven strikeouts but then he was pulled with an apparent injury. In the last three minutes the Nats got a three run shot from Kybert Ruiz and then a solo shot from Stone Garrett. "Tom Gresham, it's gun talk. We're still talking about guns. Rifles, pistols, shotguns, revolvers, air guns, I don't care. We'll talk muzzle loaders, sure. I don't know much about them, but we got people around here who do. Simple as that. I don't know, everything about everything. In fact, there are a lot of things I don't know much about at all, but I depend upon my Friends, whether they're in studio or out there, you call in and help me out. Often it's you're very kind. And I appreciate that. It's often well Tom, you know, it may be that what you really want to say is Tom, you idiot. I can't believe you don't know this. But you're generally too kind to say that. And I appreciate that. If you want to join us on the year 8 6 6 talk gun, somebody called in last hour, I completely missed this. Today is the 28th anniversary of this radio show. We went on the air. First show was March 5th, 1995. Holy cow, amazing. We were on all of who knows one, two, three, four, stations, maybe, maybe. We had a network that was kind of a quasi network that wasn't, I think they were out to take people's money and they took mine as well. But that's okay. I got it started. Got us all in the air. And I learned a lot in the process and ended up connecting with the Jim kenzie and we've been together for a long time now doing this thing. And now holy cow, I think we're onto it in 70 plus radio stations and according to Apple, at least, and they measure podcast in our category where the number one podcast all time in our category on Apple iTunes. Amazing stuff. It all because of you. You follow me, you share people, share it with people, you tell them about it, and I appreciate that very much. And if you want to talk about guns right now, it's a good time. Give me a holler, 8 6 6 talk gun. We'll do that. David called in. He's in oh, McCarthy, New Mexico, and one. Hey, David, you're on gun talk. What kind of range of ports you got? First of all, Albuquerque, don't blame me. Don't blame me. And yeah, I want to see what's going on there. What a mess in the legislature. Yeah, that's actually a funny should say that. You want to talk about dedication and do my civic duty. I got wrong by our state. So I literally went up 6 years in a row, 30 alternating 30 day, 60 day, 30 day, 60 day sessions in the middle of the winter time. I went up there and I attended almost every day almost all day long, meeting up to up to 14 hours up to midnight. 6 years in a row and I slept in my truck. In the winter time in Santa Fe to do it, so how is that for some civic duty dedication? That is incredible dedication. Thank you for that. Yeah, you're welcome. And, oh, and yeah, we did have some interesting top tell you different time. But there was an interesting showdown. There was literally a literally a showdown, an arm showdown, the guns remained in the holsters in the committee in the committee room when they were discussing one of the firearms Bill. I'll tell you about it. What I called about is tongue in cheek range report leading into a serious question about citing technique and I'm kind of a layperson as far as guns go away. I keep them stored and when I want to go shoot I go shoot and I don't do a lot of technical stuff in between and I started shooting when I was a little kid like most of us and I had my BB go to my 22 and shotguns as they were passed down and a technique I adopted. First of all, my range report is I'm kind of a manly man. So my daily carry is not a daisy red rider, but the buck, the little one, right? You know that one? No, I don't. Oh, well, you know the red rider, right? Yes. Yeah, well, they make a smaller shorter version of that for kids that are maybe three years old, four years old instead of 5 6 and 7. Okay. And yeah, the buck is kind of nice because it's about half the size and it's easier to conceal. Still got the wood stocking everything, but it's a lot smaller. You're just going to annoy him until they leave you alone, huh? Yeah, no, they laugh. I just make them laugh when they break down laughing. I take off. I love it. Yeah, so that works. So with the continuing with the tongue in cheek range report, first of all, I have, I use this thing for my sighting technique practice, which will help you understand why I've worn out. I don't know in my lifetime probably a dozen BB guns. They last a couple of years. This one is lever action, right? And so the stock finally fell off of it last summer. And I've been using it ever since and since then, the trigger, or whatever, whatever it is in there, it's a lock that trigger has gone bad. And each time I cock the lever, the thing goes off. So now I got a repeating lever action. All I got to do is cock it. I don't have to hold my finger on the trigger. I just keep cocking it. It keeps firing. So it's time to get a new one. That's like Chuck Connors, and the rifleman, you know? Just keep it racking that thing goes off every time you cock it. I like that. Yeah. Yeah, it took me by surprise. The first time I did it, it took me by surprise the luckily there was just hit the hit the ceiling. I was inside the house. Shooting at varmints, it weren't supposed to be in the yard. But I didn't break the crystal chandelier or anything. But the serious part of it is like when I was a kid, one of the things I would do with the practice is that it was fun. As I take the BB gun and I go about 20 feet back from the wooden fence on the farm in a plywood land, as I fly with land, I would fight them and pull the trigger and the BB would usually hit within a half inch or an inch from the slide, but every ten fly would get splattered. And you'd know you got them because there'd be a blood spot on the fence. And what I ended up doing over time, you can call it a good habit or a bad habit, is I've gotten to this point in life. We're inside of 50 yards with unless it's serious business, then I'll make myself actually take time to use the sites. But inside of 50 yards, whether it's a 22 or a shotgun or a BB gun or whatever, I can't even barely get myself to use the sites because I'm throwing a bullet, just like I'm throwing a rock or a baseball. When you're throwing a baseball to the catcher, you don't have any sights. You just instinctively throw it and you hit pretty accurate and that's what I'm doing with my sighting technique. So one is there's got to be a name for that. And two, I don't hear much talk about it. Is that any sort of a serious training technique and or a legitimate way to shoot a gun and let me add that if I shoot at if I think of 22 and shoot at a rock that say 40 yards out there or let's be safe here. Let's not shoot at rocks. We get a dirt clod. And I'll usually hit within a couple of inches of that dirt cloud if I don't hit it itself. Maybe every third or fourth time will actually hit a two or a three inch dirt cloud, but all the other times it's within two, three inches of that. And this is all for fun. This isn't serious business.

"Show podcast where we saved all the best things that we can't say on regular radio. Now here's Tom Michelle and Jim for the gun talk after show. All right, guess what this is not. This is not NASCAR. It is not nasty. That would have been great. Go fast, turn left. There's actually a car race going on today. Who cares? Something like that. There you go. I just told you how much I care about it, right? Well, unless it's sponsored by gun company, then it would be a matter. Or I think we could put guns gun rack in the back of the NASCAR. You can find sports, right? A little cross promotion there. Drive fast shoot things. Okay, now we're talking. Reinventing the biathlon. Is that what we're doing? I like this. Something like that I like it. Actually, it sounds like an insecticide. Which we have in our groundwater now here in Ohio. So that's good. Well, this is true. You don't have to worry about bugs at all, or even people. And my buddies that laugh at me, why do you have 20 cases of water in your garage? Now they know. Now you know. How far was that you read ailment from you? Well, the one in Ohio was a couple hours southeast of us in the Pennsylvania border. But the other one was just about an hour north of us in Michigan two days later, three days later. Yep. And you're right. People say, well, why would you have, well, because I have a better imagination than you do, I guess. Yeah. And now they look at it and go, wow, you know? Could that get into the drinking water? Yes, it could, but I'm not really worried because I have like Jim kenzie. I have 20 cases of water. Yeah, I mean, and if not, you know, what have you lost? You're going to drink it anyway, cycle through it, just rotate stocks every time he goes. Right, just kind of date it and you feed it into the back and you drink it out of the front and just keep it going. Yep, yeah. And we have a longer memory because it wasn't that long ago and our drinking water was not drinkable. Potable potable. Why do you say that? It was actually a flammable. It was that. Yeah, it was. One of the rivers caught on fire one time? Oh, cuyahoga. Is that what it was? Yeah, that goes up through Cleveland. The river actually caught fire. Yeah. Hey, welcome to Ohio. Oh, there you go, so. No, yeah, we talk about the evacuation of getting your mind right, but I have, I don't know. 6 to 12 months worth of food. Yep. Yeah. And bought it like, I don't know, ten years ago that was a wise foods. You could buy those tubs. Body part was, you had to be like a crazy prepper back then. And now you go to Costco or Sam's Club, and they've got all those right there. Oh yeah, and you see advertisements for that stuff like crazy now. And that stuff's expensive. Okay, buy one this month by one next month. Yep. And before you know it, you have 6 months worth of food. Why would I need that? I don't know. Fill in the blank. And if you don't, what a horrible problem to have. You know, the everything went great and I hedge my bets a little bit. And they say it lasts 25 years. You'll buy it, put it away, worry about it. No, it's kind of like your plane flying analogy. Whether it's coming, you go, you know what, I'm gonna play it safe. And you land and you realize afterwards, right? You know, I just did about the 20 minutes, but better safe than sorry, because if you go on the other out, you may not be around to tell the story. Exactly. And the other part of that is I've talked about this from the flying side. If you divert or you do a one 80 or you decide not to go and then the weather turns out to be okay at the end, you still have to say, but it was the right decision at that time, otherwise you're liable to push yourself into making a bad decision in the future. Absolutely. It makes total sense. There you go. So what do you sell? Come on. Spill. I sold. A really pretty unfired 1911. In 45 ACP. And we knew that because you wouldn't have sold it if it was 9. You're right. Okay, this is how stupid I am. Okay, just so my 45 in my buddy who's telling this 45, you're sending notes and says, hey, you know, I've got 1500 rounds of 45. I went, I'll take it. You also leading people to believe that was your only 45. I don't buy that. Well, there's that, right? It's funny. I said, oh yeah, I'll take that. Okay. And I'm thinking, you know, those two really don't go together well, do they? Is that why you sold the gun? 'cause you didn't have enough ammo for it? Well, you know, I hadn't shot literally had never shot it's on fire, sitting in the box. I thought, okay, if you're gonna sell it, this is time, it's not like I don't have other 19 11s in 45. Right. And this was just one of those that he along years ago, he was able to get a good deal on it. I probably have made back now what I put into it. If I put that happens, would have made more money, but you know, and I just wasn't going to shoot it. I can not remember the last time I shot a 45 automatic. Now it seems like what 9s and tens in semi autos and what I would really like to get would be 1500 rounds of three 57. Yeah, no doubt. Yeah. I'd like to get 1500 rounds of 5 7. I don't even have a 5 7 pistol. That would be enough to make you go buy a gun. Exactly. We used to say ran out of potatoes. You still got snake. You got to go get some potatoes for your plate because you got to even up. So I call that if you have too much ammo and not enough gun, you got to even up. It's all the same thing. I like it. Enabler. Well, yeah. So yeah, yeah, so let's say I've got my buddies to buy several guns so far, of course, it doesn't really cause me a problem. I don't worry about it at night because the all are very happy because they ended up getting better guns. When you upgrade you go, this is really nice. I want you to start shooting the good ones you're going, um. Yeah, there's a real difference in some of these guns. And I think you've done pretty well that 35% of their wives will still speak with you. Well, there's that. There's that part too, exactly right. I don't know. It's a process, but boy, it's your spontaneity with all these different guns. But it's amazing how the 9s have completely taken over, isn't it? Well, and for good reason. I mean, look at 30 years ago, 40 years ago. You know, I mean, they just weren't water 45 was or that was one of the barfly topics. Right. But now you can't really stand behind that comment anymore. Well, and of course, the ammo just got so much better. That's what I mean. You can't have that kind of

"So, you know, my sense is that I'm slightly favoring the eagles here. Based on the superb play of Jalen hurts on their defense on, you know, really just the solidity of the team all around. I think they're probably a little bit better than the chiefs. You know, at a few key positions, but man, this is not the kind of game I would want to make much of a bet on but I understand the doctor when you wait you're on the scale. Yeah, so I'm committed since I was in. So before I left, so I have a seat here. My ticket, I have the chiefs plus one ten. So rather than been on the spread. So I'm getting them. And that was really my logic was pretty much. I think these teams are very evenly matched. So if somebody is paying on the money line, I'll take the juice 'cause I think it's close to a 50 50 game. You know, here's lovely look at this. So I think the case here, the case for the chiefs is mahomes like the ankle should be substantially better in two weeks. I think that several of the receivers should be back. The AFC was a tougher conference. I think that's the other thing too, is that like that's the, I think getting the number one seed in the AFC is a lot more impressive than getting the number one seed in the NFC. I think it's tougher competition. Syrian is really impressive, but you know, Andy Reid obviously, as a slight advantage. So I think, you know, Kansas City has the better quarterback. You know, at least the more experienced coach, team played equal, similarly well against a tougher schedule. I do, however, you know, I do think it's close to 50. Well, the other thing I would say, the other thing that lean me slightly towards the cheesecake of those odds, I didn't really like what I saw from hertz in that last game. The shoulder still seems to be bothering, like he was sailing a lot of passes, wasn't really very precise. Even decided the fact that it catch it, like what Smith had to do to even make that look like a catch. You know, that was really a pretty bad throw on fourth down there. And so it didn't matter, obviously, against the team without a quarterback, but that's going to be a problem. And it seems to be like the ankle has a better chance of healing in two weeks than the shoulder done. So that's basically the case for the cheese. What I would like about the eagles and what will worry me as a chiefs better is that the one thing is that the eagles are so much more versatile. Like the thing is, they won going away. And gives sirani credit. He wasn't locked into a game plan, like when herds wasn't on his a game, he just started running. And the eagles could beat you with the rushing attack, you know, like, if the cheese passed against working, they're fought. Like, they have no running game at all. You know, so if you could get to mahomes at all, they don't really have a plan B you know, the eagles are really impressively versatile on defense. And the second thing got pass rush was really good. And that's, you know, you can, you know, it wouldn't be shocking for me to see what happened to mahomes against Tampa Bay that year happen. I mean, that is a fearsome fearsome pass rush. And so that's going to be the real question. Like if mahomes can get balls off before the pass rush gets home, I think kenzie's going to win.

"I don't think you have to be on this particular problem, but I think if you did, everything we mentioned plus the Grom is not a bad place to sit. Yeah. I think this is someone who makes a lot of sense for de grand to go to. I just don't know what that money looks like. Between him and Johnny. I think Johnny's going to want a lot and given that he just got 80 for Soto. And that the Grom is kind of universally recognized as the best pitcher when healthy with massive caveats or unhealthy. I think he's going to want top dollar. The ironic part is healing paid 50 bucks or Jacob de Grom. In season last year, if I'm not mistaken, he paid 50 bucks. Yeah. Yeah, that's a good trade. I mean, 'cause that never happens. Where you get someone, you know, it's always the Garrett Cole's an important burns is the insurers where they're just automatic throwbacks, but and that's what I assume the case would be, but now that we're looking at teams where it makes a lot of sense, hell, if you can trade a cuny contributor to Grom, forward. And I think we're looking one right now. At Kaiser, where if I was going to make that move, yeah. He has a lot of options. He might not know it, and I have tried to nudge him to make some other deals. He has a lot of options. So it'll be interesting to see what initiatives he takes as this off season goes along. My guess is, I don't remember what I was talking to the other day, but I basically said that this off season is going to be one big wave at the very beginning and it's going to be one big wave right at the very end. And there's going to be a massive low, probably throughout the end of Jane, where the beginning of February, and I think Kaiser is going to end up being a guy that makes news in the second wave, so he has some time. He certainly has time to think about it as the dust settles on some of these trades that have been made early on. Just I don't want to leave anyone out, so I'm not going to. Let's talk about Jack and Kaiser and then we'll wrap this up and go home. Jack has a bunch of players that I used to have because I made a bunch of deals with Jack. Throughout the course of the season, his roster looks a hell of a lot better since he remembered to make the gentleman's agreement trade and get out of manoa back on his roster for ten bucks. That's nice. He's also got boba shot. He's got core mccarroll, that's really nice to have for two fucking box. What's the secret definitely going to keep ice? He's got some, he's got some guys. I'm going to throw Suzuki in here for the time. He might feel differently, who am I missing that you're looking at? I feel like he'll keep plunger. McKinsey gore max muncy. I don't know that he keeps those two. I don't know that he keeps all those, but I think kenzie gore was just such a disappointment, but yeah, I wouldn't touch Mackenzie gore with a ten foot pole, but he's done it before. So we'll put him in there. I would keep drew. I drew sen and I tried to get him during the season. He would not give him to me. He probably keeps bulb. He probably keeps Francisco Alvarez.
