Fresh update on "kenyan" discussed on The High Stakes Fantasy Football Hour
"Do believe at least. That's what i'm seeing so it's interesting I see we're team number nine with jacobs on drake and team number eleven The russell they pick up kenyan drake. Which i think's wonderful player in this format and how i would've liked to have drake in jacobs on my team In this format yeah Yes and i. I will just second your your courtesy eddie. Love here with normally he does go at the ada weights He's actually gone as high as the seven hundred to over the last three days in this format and Going off the board at wire sewer forty. He goes off the board tonight at wide receiver. Fifty two danny miller here at the nine seven so good value there for newer moving on. Let's kick things off around ten with a pair of real life teammates ronald jones to mike. Paglia tom brady backup quarterback to robert and robbie russell Corey davis off the board. After that as the number five receiver to jump back with robert tanya finally ritchie and assure at drafts a tight end. I do believe he was the second to last team to draft a tight end and he finally gets his guy at the channel. Four and the packers side in robertson phony pollard. These third running back drafted by train. My guess is we're going to be a lot more green on his roster going forward given that he only had one running back selected through the first eight rounds. Tony pollard is selection. In round ten elijah more the third straight receiver drafted by danny miller. That is his sixth wideout. Ingram the final team not to take a tight end. It is davis matic from sports grade. And he gets his guy. Evan ingram the thirteenth tight end off the boards. Who joe borough to hudson rebe right after that followed by james connor. The other Running back in arizona. Todd rose did. Get the former in chase edmunds. So both the arizona running backs. We'll be on team. Run to daylight. This year for edmunds and connor Ryan tannehill Is the second straight running quarterback drafted by kleinfeld buyer stafford. And then ryan tannehill back to back. And she gets ninth and twelve quarterbacks off the boards pair of old Relatively speaking running backs off the board to complete round. That's melvin gordon to bob long. That's david johnson to david's drew meyer. Who now has taken to straight texans. He gets the number one receiver for the texans and he gets the number one running back for the texans or did he fairly believe david johnson is going to be the the texans running back that you want this year and fantasy or could it be somebody else. I believe. philip linzie will be number one. Running back for the season is over jones has been league. Good good player. He's going to get his run with this team but lindsay will provide them what they need especially With everyone believing that this team will be playing catch up playing from behind it. Especially if taylor seeds that job to davis mills the rookie out of stanford lindsay would be a desolate. Check target for young quarterback on a team that does not have a prolific tidy. And i think lindsay is your here. I wouldn't have had an argument with team the if they drafted both of them on the turn right there.

How Running Slowly in Training Can Impact Your Ability to Run Fast
"Slow is technically hotter but what it does allow is. It's easy to relax mentally and physically to become aware of that fade back from what's going on in your body. Some of these people out there are going around training with a lot of tension which doesn't allow the feedback which doesn't allow them to make small changes and notice any of these changes while they're doing all of running. My first point that i wanted to cover was why if you can't run slowly like really slowly with efficiency and being really relaxed with your muscles how that is impacting your performance at running at foster spayed. Well first off if you can't run slowly comfortably and really relaxed. Then there's a few things going on there and the first thing we're going to talk about is tension so if you'll run retention and you can't relax then how you going to be able to get more energy more accuracy and more feedback when you are running slow all fast or doing anything that you do in your life so when we look at an example of great african runners you know and they're out for a jog and you can google and find these amazing kenyans going for a run together as a group and they running five to six minute as or non minute miles when they could run a marathon in two hours just two hours that they easy runny. Soya relaxed that you can see how relaxed they are. They laughing they almost look. They'd running on the spot and there's no effort whatsoever in have run. The arms are relaxed. You could say all of their muscles bang loose. They mon is loose. Obviously they they happy jovial and they able to do this in a really relaxed state in every sense of the word of relaxing. Mentally and physically.
Biden Pushes Infrastructure Plan in Wisconsin
"Was on the road yesterday. The subject infrastructure Capitol Hill correspondent Linda Kenyan is with us for that, Linda Michael President Biden makes a personal appeal for infrastructure. It's a full court press. This is a generational investment President Biden taking his message to Wisconsin generational investment to modernize our infrastructure. Creating millions of good paying jobs That's not coming from me has come from Wall Street, millions of good paying jobs and position America to compete. The rest of the world in the 21st century. The $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure deal is proof, says the president, that Democrats and Republicans can work together to make big investments in America's future. America has always been propelled. The future by landmark national investments. Investments and only the government. Has the capacity to make. And to do that, says Biden. Congress must pass the infrastructure deal that invests in traditional infrastructure like building and maintaining roads, highways, bridges, power systems and more. The president's speech in Wisconsin traveled the same theme as an op ed, he wrote for Yahoo News, which said. In part, neither Democrats nor Republicans got everything they wanted in this agreement, but that's what it means to compromise and reach consensus. The very heart of democracy. The president went on to say when we negotiate in good faith and come together to get big things done. We begin to break the ice. The too often has kept us frozen in place and prevented us from solving the real problems Americans face. Those problems include crumbling roads, one in five miles of highway. Roads in America are in poor condition, one in five miles. Some states. It's worse where the weather is tougher. It will be tough to pass the infrastructure deal if it is coupled with a second infrastructure bill called the American Families plan. But President Biden has D link the two clarifying his earlier comments that he would not sign one infrastructure bill without the other. This

"These things are not impossible when a team signs a player. There's an intention behind it not to mention if josh jacobs gets hurt. Kenyan drake is coming in and with a great opportunity. A great opportunity last year. Kareem hunt nick. Chubb rombaks ten eleven. Npr you guys. You gotta stop over-reacting yes getting crazy immediately. Like straight out. The gate go nuts. Cream on had thirty eight thirty receptions last year five touchdowns rushing you get five touchdowns even get in the mix you know in these other these other categories and things could happen on a successful high powered offense as as being effective. It's it's it's certainly possible. So you get your little stock up stock down all you'd like you could do it all you like but just know that you ain't fula nobody out here and don't get me wrong. Nature miss him games last year. And you know cream filled in and made some things happen with that but regardless for those listening. What's next for kenyan. Drake what i just said. I believe he could be a top twenty running back a day could be a top ten running back and they both have successful years for an nfl terms and in fantasies rooms hundred percent. I think both guys a roster worthy. Both guys are start worthy. Josh jacobs is a top twelve running back still. Drake is top fifteen to twenty probably twenty s. Better safer place to put him. I think he. I think is totally totally possible. And long as you're getting them at the right you with the right understanding of who they are. There's nothing wrong with that. Does absolutely nothing wrong with that. Coproduction mass it. Your salary your salary jokes. They they weren't having the help they held no way your own jokes. Hell no way. You're josh jacobs. Free Agency 2021: Biggest Winners and Losers From Day One
"Who's the biggest winner from day. One the biggest winner from day one already told you it was. It was a my intro. You're listening great question. Jonnu smith out. It's cam newton. Well that depends kenyans a starter for sixteen games. That's right that's true. It's yeah okay. Potentially find jonah smith. Donald smith big contract with the patriots They invest heavily in him. You like this for him i do. I think you know Obviously the quarterback is the concern. But this is the scenario especially with the move that they made that we look for in fantasy as tight end could be the leader of the pack in terms of targets and opportunities and so look cam was not good in twenty twenty. If cam does start sixteen games in two thousand twenty. One greg olsen. During a five year stretch was pretty awesome of the top tier tight ends of the guys that we did. We talk about what he was in the next group you know. And so from twenty two thousand twenty sixteen. Greg olsen averaged a hundred eighteen targets a season seventy seven catches Decide one thousand yards and five times. Johnny could do that. One season estimate put them right around a top five tight end. Greg olsen was great and not only was he great but we also saw from cam newton in that stretch that he could give you greg olsen. Who could finish as a top eight tight in five straight seasons and give you a number to wide receiver in four of those five seasons three or four of those five seasons whether it was. Steve smith or kelvin. Benjamin and even ted ginn one year. So that's interesting. I'll afforded talking about that on the show tomorrow on the tuesday morning show and then of course we'll have a whole bunch of more news items to react to. Hopefully we'll get some kenny golladay news at some point on tuesday or maybe it'll happen later on monday night as record this at about nine fifteen eastern. Who's the biggest loser from day. One the biggest loser from day one on asking these questions before. I told you that we were starting with these egypt's before the show The biggest guys they ryan tannehill johnny smith and Us down smith and corey davis They're going to have to struggle to replace those guys Davis probably more. So the jonah just from the standpoint of what he was last year with his production number two receiver sixty five catches nine hundred plus yards and five touchdowns. So we'll see what they do in in in that in that regard but i think Tannehill you know. I had him as the number eleven quarterback. I dropped in the thirteen after today. Just because i think it was close between in my mind. Joe burrow and tom brady put them behind both those guys. Okay how 'bout jameis winston ryan tannehill right now. It's soom jameis winston as the starter. I still go. i think it'd be messy. You know. I can't situation we're taking those not blaming So i was hoping james would go someplace else and tastes hill. Would still be the guy with maybe a rookie or somebody. Young that they could groom continued. Just gonna to get you know too much of the mill package of james as the starter and if as milton starter. Davis is gonna play very much so it just feels like it be messy situation oil. Who do you like better. Corey davis with the jets nelson agholor with the patriots. I think adler is going to be bad. I don't trust the situation. You know i mean he. He had so many big. Plays for the raiders last year and he was so good for derek carr but he did that on eighty two targets. I don't think he gets eighty two targets with the patriots. He's going to do the same thing. So with what cam does running the ball with what jonah smith brings to the table with. What the rest of the receiving corps will look like if julian edelman on the team if he's healthy Nagla is going to be A guy that's not on many fantasy rosters middle of the season whereas corey davis could be the best receiver for the jets. I don't know if that's going to be the case. But i would take davis by far over niagara.

Pablo Escobar's Hippos Are Out of Control
"A couple of years ago. I read a novella called river of teeth by sarah gaily. The concept of the story is based on a real world event. That almost happened smack. In the early twentieth century a bill was proposed in the us house of representatives and informally supported by theodore roosevelt. The us should import hippopotamuses from africa to the swamp lands of the gulf coast and breed them as an alternative meat source for americans basically starting a new industry in the us of hill. Ranching as you know this proposal never came to be but gala novella now collected into a volume with a sequel and some other stories under the title american hippo imagines magic in alternative history where this did happen only set fifty years earlier. You get kind of gulf coast cowboys on hippos tape story. It's great loved it. I highly recommend it. Or if you just wanna dig more into the facts. I put link in the show notes to a long read on the history of the hippo proposal by john. Mouallem will the reason i bring. This up is because americans in the early twentieth century. Were not the only ones with dreams of becoming hbo ranchers decades later pablo escobar would also get into the hippo game importing four of them to live on his estate in columbia and now forty some years later they have bread and multiplied and are spreading all over the wetlands of north bogo. Talk causing mayhem. Consternation and some real concerns for the region. Scientists say this now invasive species is competing with native wildlife polluting local waterways attacking humans and they project will grow in number two fifteen hundred hippos by twenty forty at that point the scientists say they will be nearly impossible to control their environmental impacts will be irreversible but never mind controlling fifteen hundred hippos. How do you control a dozen or even just one. That's not like you can just google it you know. In colombian officials are not hippopotamus experts and there are unique challenges levied upon this specific situation. I quoting the washington post in their natural habitat. Hippos spend the long dry season crowded into waterways shrunk to puddles. They're vulnerable to disease and predation not to mention one. Another as bad tempers but tropical columbia is hippo paradise. Environmental agency researcher david vary lopez said rain is abundant food is plentiful and they're no carnivores large enough to pose a threat. The animals spend five hours a day grazing on grasses and the rest of their time basking in the cool waters of the magdalena and surrounding lakes and quotes report from columbia not being the hippos natural habitat having in effect on the hippos behavior it also affects the surrounding communities impression of the hippos. The officials tasked with dismantling escobar's estate back in the ninety s. Weren't sure what to do with the one male and three female hippos so they just let them roam instead of sending them to a zoo with his other animals and mostly they did that because the hippos were massive and aggressive no one really wanted to approach them so we'll get the harm be and letting them go well. Kenyans and other african communities with native hippo populations could tell you a whole heck of a lot. You've got hippos from each sex so they can breathe for one and they're also hugely destructive to the environment into other animals. Hippos killed more humans each year than other large mammal. But when you don't grow up around hippos you don't necessarily know that so the hippos have become something of a mascot and columbia. According again gift shops in nearby puerto trail info sell hippo keychains and t shirts at the amusement park that was built on the site of escobar's former pleasure palace. Visitors can tour the lake where several dozen hippos now live occasionally one will plot into a nearby community looking as blase as a shopper on his way to the grocery store the hippopotamuses. The town pets resident claudia. Patricia camacho told the local news in two thousand eighteen. You could say that he now takes to the streets as if it were his own and quote but the hippos aren't as friendly as they may look on t shirts. They terrorize farms and hurt residents at times. The government has ordered the hippos to be shot on sight but there's been pushback from animal rights organizations and local residents so then they tried putting the hippos in a pin but and this is one of the mini quotes from this article. That honestly sounds straight hundred jurassic park. Etcheverry said i didn't know they could jump hikes so then they tried big pens with high enough walls that the hippos can't jump onto them. They've also been focused on trying to prevent them from breeding by cuisine. And then castrating the males. They've been through a steep hippo anatomy learning curve on that front though. Not even being sure where to look. For the animals external reproductive organs turns out. It's a bit complicated. They finally got a system of castration down. But it's costly and complicated so they can only do about one year but the estimates are that the population grows ten percent a year and apart from the bodily harm humans and the destruction of farms the hippos as they multiply host of other problems quoting again. A twenty twenty study of hippo inhabited lakes found that nutrients from the animal's feces were fuelling huge. Plumes of area an algae. These intern reduced the oxygen content of the water. Making it toxic to fish.

Uganda's Elections: Singer Bobi Wine Takes on President Yoweri Museveni
"On thursday millions of ugandans will go to the polls to vote for president at the helm is the incumbent yoweri museveni a former guerrilla fighter who ousted to dictators. He's now been in power for more than thirty years. Mid seventy s up against a number of candidates but the man the forefront is a singer and politician. Bobby wine the world. Africa correspondent halimi. Condie is in uganda's capital kampala. So the votes coming up in a couple of days lima. What is the pre-election atmosphere like this has been an election. That people have been watching. Because it's so symbolic of what seems to be happening in the region. You have a young population against kind of the old guard on one hand. President mu seventy and his campaign. Slogan has been secure. Your future and on the other side is Somebody half his age. Bobby wine and his slogan has been new. Uganda and not kind of seems to be the crux of what we're hearing people say but other than that there have been real logistical challenges here namely slow down at the internet and restrictions on social media in fact during a presidential address today president seven actually admitted that the government was blocking or restricting access to social media platforms like facebook that impacts ordinary people as well as journalists like myself. There are also concerns about violence. What are people worried about specifically violence from security forces as well as excessive force. We've seen dozen at least dozens of people at demonstrations or caught in the crosshairs of demonstrations who have been killed Especially a couple months back and this is also impacting manley. Opposition leaders like bobby wine as well as members of his party and other opposition parties in fact during an interview this morning with a local kenyan radio station bobby wine was interrupted and this is what he had to say. Some sorry. i'm even right now as we speak being raided by the msci to end the interview. Because i can't see between my security. God what would that is pretty dramatic. Yeah and this isn't the first time last week i was on a press. Call with bobby wine and the same thing happened. During the middle of the interview you see security officials essentially pulling him out of the vehicle and this has kind of characterize this entire campaign season here. And i spoke with one human rights lawyer here. His name is peter mccullough and he works with chapter for uganda which is an ngo and this is what he had to say about. This election from bisham. Our rights perspective has been at beat of high-handedness torture harassed. A number of cases have been reported where people have disappeared and asmatullah. Okay where does seem to be coming from. And he says that all signs point to the top as an president museveni so what has been the government's response to this violence and these allegations against president and seventy. It's been singing unapologetic. I mean the government has really mostly accused the opposition at being the these troublemakers of undermining the election of inciting people to go against the election of ignoring covert health regulations that we've seen that have essentially restricted in person. Campaigning today spoke with a government spokesperson. If one opponent oh and this is what he had to say about members of the opposition or pushing granted they think that simply by virtue of being a presidential candidate. Some rules don't apply to you. Traffic rules apply one hundred percent. So i won't drive recklessly. You'll be stopped by traffic police and a tragedy. What he's talking about there is if you're here in kampala. What you'll see or rather what will here first or these trucks zooming around blasting music and campaign slogans but many pointed out that these rules aren't being applied equally these rules that are extensively for kovac reasons. I e limiting in person contact are actually only impacting certain people in this campaign are. That's that's the allegation and finally helium. What ordinary ugandans you meet on the streets as you walk around. What are they saying about this election. Really the biggest concern. I'd seen on. All sides is about violence and insecurity and this is something i hear expressed on the radio and on tv. Some people have actually left paula to go vote in their rural homes but also because they want to be away from kampala. This is a center of support for bobby wine. So if the election swings in the opposite direction we could see demonstrations or protests against the the outcome followed by heavy crackdown and today president. Mu seventy warned against any disruption and said. The army is strong. The army can protect people. The army is here. The question is is that reassuring for people or is that going to be something that scares people and keeps them at home. The world's halima condie speaking with us from kampala. The ugandan capital. Thanks very much. Could speak anki

Congress Passes Covid-19 Relief Bill
"Page bill weighs in at $1.4 Trillion to fund the federal government through September. Coupled with $900 billion in covert relief that relief includes $600 per person and direct stimulus payments $300 in additional unemployment insurance, more than 300 billion in loans to help small businesses and hundreds of billions more for schools, coronavirus testing and the distribution of vaccines. Some say it goes too far. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says it doesn't go far enough. It doesn't go all the way, but it takes us down the path a first step speaker. Pelosi was joined by House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, who said the bill solves some problems but not others. These include a resumption of expanded unemployment benefits. Another round direct payments relief for renters assistance to make sure that Americans can put food on the table. The staggering level of food insecurity caused by the Corona virus pandemic, says Hoyer is a stain on the nation in the richest Country on the face of the earth. We have people in food lines who can't feed themselves. That is not only wrong, it is immoral. Texas Republican representative Kay Granger supported the bill, saying there's a lot to cheer about our package. Will ensure the timely distribution of vaccines across the country, help small business affected by the economic downturn and provide much needed relief for airports and the airline industry. Which is so important. Democrat Debbie Wasserman Schultz agreed. The bill doesn't contain everything, but what it does contain, she says, is crucial. It shortchanges key relief programs like eight to our first responders and state and local governments. But the American people are suffering and need immediate relief. Many lawmakers who say the bill doesn't go far enough also say they're hopeful more relief will be on the way under the Biden administration. As the House passed the bill, the Senate took it up shortly thereafter racing toward a midnight deadline for passage to get much needed covert relief out the door and to close the chapter and head home for the holidays. Police arrested him in july. Two thousand nineteen with intense coverage by local media. He was brought to the us to face. Terrorism charges appeared today in a new york city courtroom. The fbi says tonight. It's a reminder that oversees terror groups remain committed to attacking americans and are still obsessed with hijacking airplanes.
Week 10 fantasy football rankings: Running Backs
"I running backs schedule running backs derrick henry. It's actually pretty terrible for the next. three weeks. colts ravens colts. They are top for against fantasy running backs. Then it is unbelievable. And this is the time of year. We're derrick henry gets going anyway His last three his fantasy playoffs are jacksonville. Detroit and green bay. So i i'm recommending. My dalvin cook sell high. And we're going to wait until this primetime game against the colts and hope derrick henry struggles a little bit. And then we're going to sell dalvin cook for derrick henry and very good wide receiver. Okay i because he's going to destroy jacksonville detroit and green bay and the fantasy playoffs. Jonathan taylor is. I have a tough time. Buy into this. But has four matchups against teams. That are twenty nine. Th or worse against running backs this week against tennessee. I don't think it's that great of a match up. They've been really good. The last five games against running backs these per carry giving up some points. But they're giving up touchdown they are giving up touchdown touchdown every game tennessee this year. But you know he's got houston he's got vegas. He's got houston again in week. Sixteen might be tough against pittsburgh but the match ups are great. Does it matter. I don't know what jonathan taylor. We'll see what his role is he's got to just he's got to start playing freely and i think that's what the colts are waiting for. I think the colts are going to give him every opportunity to to get there but he. He's splitting the russian downs. Work with jordan wilkins in the hemans. The hurry up back the passing downs back. David montgomery talked about best remaining schedule. And then two teams. That probably doesn't matter but the foul. I guess i shouldn't say that all that. You guys determine that via broncos and the patriots like damian harris is is locked in. He could be pretty good down the stretch but obviously we don't know if that's going to be the case but yeah patriots and broncos have good schedules now. You go running backs with bad schedules. This one i think is very very important. Kenyan drake. I don't know if anybody is really into kenyan drake but terrific low. You think so yes. Because he's got some very good run. Defenses coming up very good. Maybe he's not such a good bye. I hate the schedule. Buffalo's not good. That's this week. if he's back. Seattle is a good run defense. Their twelve against running backs new england's of matchup. But then after that. So we're talking. That's week ten eleven weeks thirteen and on the rams the giants the eagles the forty niners. That's weeks fourteen. Thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen. Those are four really good run defenses. And that's kenyan drake who only runs and doesn't have any involvement in the passing game so the whole point is to trade firm at the lowest possible price and it's because chase edmonds isn't gonna take his job when he comes back at it sir feels like he'll still have that role that rundown role maybe drake as the guy to go target. If you're desperate for a running back in the next three games not so much for the rest of the season you think this week. He might not even play this week. That's the problem is today. It feels like those games that you're referencing in the playoffs. Are more chase edmonds games than kenyan drake games like. Drake could play all four of those games against her. Three of those games against a good wendy fences and for edmonds might just be better. I think it's four good run. Event is the rams giants eagles niners and the giants thing. They're just about like fourteenth about as close to average as you can be but that's because they're really bad against pass catching running backs. They're not fourteenth in run. Vincent fourteenth and fantasy points allowed to running backs so that does feel more like a chase edmonds game like you. Just look at antonio gives they give us some touchdowns. Mckissic was a lot better than gibson. Even though gives another touchdown i dunno. I dunno school. Fantasy points because of the touchdown. But that's my point like these are good run defenses. So for a guy who's not involved in the passing game at all too scary schedule. I think down the stretch for kenyan drake.

With this. Is. That I want everyone understand. I'm not slagging baseball when I say anybody from Chicago even with the last dance even with the Bulls doing what they did. It's bears town it's a football town the fact that this if you need any if you need any sort of. Evidence. It's the fact that the cubs. Yesterday against the Milwaukee Brewers Alec. Mills. Threw a no hitter for the Chicago cubs and the talk is of the bears comeback win of week one in Detroit. That's a fact I know I don't have boots down there on the ground in Chicago. But these are facts. Cubs fans are nuts. I get it. But. The Chicago bears and Mitchell trubisky put up twenty one unanswered on the lines yesterday and their head coach. Matt Nagy kind enough to join us here in the richeisenshow how Awesome how are you doing? Well. How are you? How are you feeling top of the fourth quarter yesterday? Oh man no. That wasn't wasn't too good. It's. It's so crazy You know when you when you dig it, dig a hole like that you're down seventeen and you understand it just takes one play to get going and there was a play in the game where we had a little August special vertical play mich mit a throw to Dancy Miller, and it just kind of propelled us and got us going on offense, which is what the defense was wanting from us and and we get it and just kind of back and forth started feeding off of each other in in that one quarter, and before you know we look up and there's a minute to. Go we're up by four. So those are the Games always remember We know we got to get a lot better in this first three-quarters. But in the end, we got that W which was a lot of fun in club afterwards, golf clubs up afterwards I know, and that Miller is the one who ended it as well with that touchdown grab with a buck fifty seven to go Matt Nagy here on the rich Eisen show and I know when you were last show you know a couple of weeks after nick foles was acquired use said that the one thing that trubisky needed to work on. Is Not to get too hyped when things are going well but to make sure you turn the page when something negative happens and I thought when we hung out well. Hiring somebody else to potentially push him might be a problem for a guy that focuses a little bit too much dwells a little bit too much yesterday. Does that dispel? Any notion that he still has an issue with this does he is that was was yesterday that large of a step forward? Can we take that from week one coach? Well, I would say this I think it's a big step for sure you know we the mental toughness side it's not easy when you know we were moving the ball in in the run game and we have some good play actions and we're making strong throws guys were getting open our struggle yesterday rich was was third seven plus I mean we kept getting in that scenario where there's about a twenty percent chance of convert knows. No matter who you are and so we weren't you know so that that part was a struggle for us and But we fought through it and like I said, it took one play, and then once we got into that fourth quarter, our guys just started rolling and and Mitt you know Owen was protecting the wide receivers were getting open Mitch was making very accurate throws and it felt like what is supposed to feel like and then again, there was a crucial fourth and one that we had to get that. Cordell Patterson got on a pitch play and a guy to the corner for the first, and then you know there was a good touchdown throw to to Jimmy Graham another one then to to Anthony Miller that they are excuse me to Tavon wins they played good defense on and we just have better offense from the throw and the and the cash, and then the final one was a great. Throwing catch by by Mitch and Anthony So it just all came together and I think it's a learning tool for all of us to understand that number one we can't do that quarters one through three but nobody to. The positive is that we stuck together and now we're down seventeen in the fourth. We just proved in on. We can still come back and win and. Of course you know the the issue is, how do you make sure? I mean how does one bottle what happened in the fourth quarter and UNCORK IT FROM Weeks quarters one through three from weeks. Two through seventeen. How do you do that as a coach? What what can do? Well. So if you think I think that for US coaches now we finally have film and finally have tape of twenty twenty for us. What it looks like in a live game you know we didn't have any preseason in practice here in training camp everything is is mostly thuds and you're not bringing guys live to the ground so we can. Finally. Valuing Critique these guys and now we start building and identity of who you are as a team The thing I was proud of of our team in general was that we we were able to overcome a few penalties Defensively we had a few penalties, but they overpaid him came home and get made some big stops third down offensively. we have one kindly in on the day, and that was a delay game one time..

"Yeah. They focus on hiring. They don't focus on hiring low income people they on hirings with cream of the crop talent. Which I think is is also a really important thing to do are challenged our focus always from the beginning has been how do we provide jobs for those people who typically get overlooked? They don't get that end jobs. Right. And because they're coming in from very low income backgrounds and would normally be continuing to informa- work. What's the politics like there, which is that play a role into what you do we'll touch wood? But the region has been really stable for several years now. And I think the Kenyan government has may be taken the opportunity of the US government kind of moving in a bad direction. To say, well, hey, let's be progressive. They just banned plastic bags this year. A wow, I I'm a huge. I'm very passionate about conservation. And I love spending time in nature, and I think the Kenyan society has done an incredible job of keeping beaches clean and plastic free. It's it's it's very inspiring. What this relatively small nation has been able to do on top of that the government's been really tech forward. They had a twenty twenty plan when I started Somma source that was all about how technology would be creating jobs in Kenya by twenty twenty and they had all of these different people in government working on it. They hired the former head of Google east Africa to be the IT minister in the country, which is a great sign. So we've never had any challenges with the government there. And I think people understand that the future of work and Africa is digital and that much like Africa's completely leapfrogged over traditional sectors like banking like no one ever walks into a Bank branch in Kenya. You can do all of your banking on your mobile phone. It wouldn't even occur to people to do that. Right. People who'd never had a desktop, computer. All it just went to phone straight to funds right into phone. Same things happening with. Edgy instead of waiting for grid. Power to roll out. People are using distributed energy.

Now laughable laughable that the dolphins sent Alec. You made a wonderful career in the mix so many wars in years past. So anyway, this particular t- in has an owner with a very red face. But he's not embarrassed about their play. That's just the color of his face. All the time. They have a quarterback who could win MVP and NFL comeback player of the year. Go firmly in the mix, and that's high that could be valuable and we have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the MEC. Yep. We continue on see I thought that the bucks get included. Why did the books get included? All right mind. That's why. Okay. Very good. So we continue on here in the in the NFC. We'll get to the AFC in a moment. There are so many teams as I said earlier great year for the mix so many teams to get to so despite losing their wide receiver and despite having gentleman is their GM. And despite Eli manning everyone's saying, he's washed up the New York football giants who are minus twenty four on the season. But if won two straight and have a very easy record moving forward. Your giants. Easy, schedule very easy schedule. Welcome back to the mix. What? Yes. How would the? That was what in the mix? Okay. What? Off his word of mouth really is what pushed this into our consideration. You can't measure the heart of a champion, Dan. And that's what the eagles are. They are Super Bowl champions. And despite losing last night and being minus fourteen and having some injuries. They are still right there at six and seven in never count out a champion, and I'm not going to count out this champion. Philadelphia. Eagles still in the mix. Final one in the NFC before we move over to the AFC despite having ridiculous pencil on his ear. No, no, no, no move to the next one. Go to the AFC. Whoa. He's not allowed. He's too smug. No. He's not allowed sitting at five eight they were right there. They won yesterday will not have them kicks GOP security kicked Patricia out of the mixie's. You're out of the mixie's Patricia quit telling us out address and set. The no for the lions. Good luck. Next year Detroit's let's move over to the AFC where it seems like everyone is in the mix. But they're not. Let's start with. Eighteen that we love this show has grown to love. You ain't gonna hit me with the titans off the buck. Listen, I don't need to announce the titans. They are always in the mix. Okay. They wanna mixed the every single year. Okay. Name. The statue was mariota the statute. You get a small little Marcus mariota. That's what you get. He made so good Daryl Patterson like that's ageless. It's just ageless. I don't understand how that's the only guy in history has been able to ward off the ravages of time. How? Philip rivers get up there as well. As you not. I'm breeze. What's happening? But it's not. But it's not but Brady's older all of them. Yeah. He is. And he's still making those throws. So you get the decide this do we get to argue with you or you just going to proclaim it, and it's an award show. We're going to give them a little trophy. Yeah. You guys get feel free to argue. But listen what a wonderful year for the next. Sees it really. It's been a banner year for the mixie's so many mixie's to give out. Sadly, we've said goodbye to a lot of mixie legends. When Bruce Arians was there was there. The cardinals were always in the mixie's. Yes. Yep. No longer in the mixie's Oakland was in the mixie's for a couple of years there where we were wondering if the raiders were real no longer in the mctigue. Yeah. Fond farewell and surprise team. No longer in the mic. Sees is the Atlanta Falcons who a couple of years ago should've won a Super Bowl there in the Quincy's the S Jacksonville's not in the mixie's either right out of the mixie's. Jacksonville's officially out of the mixie's you arrive here. The teams that are in the mix. All right. Well, hold on thing. Let's. Nice. So we're going to now celebrate this with the appropriate fanfare each one. But you're announcing it or do we have to agree on it? And then we'll reconvene like, let's let's do it by committee now. Okay. We could do it by committee. That's that's fair. All right. What are the academy? Yes economy. All right. So even while losing five straight games. All the Carolina Panthers are still in the mix for your consideration the promotional handful pant Carolina Panthers. Congratulations despite the five game losing streak. You are still in the man. Now despite four straight losses a couple of injuries at quarterback and being nice forty on the season. No, no. He wants to know still in America. Oh economy may wanna discuss today. So all sorts of trouble on the set for Washington, we've gone through three different directors who the hell was playing quarterback for them yesterday which Josh Johnson, which one. I was at the former Mormons and Bluejays richer, which drudge Johnson was that that they finally said oh, come on. Mark sanchez. Get out of here suggest Johnson. Then I believe hadn't thrown an NFL pass in two thousand eleven he can't get capital in there because he's too far removed from the game. All right. So do we have agreement here? We don't want politics with our award shows. What's the matter with you? Holliday was understanding facts outta here. Hollywood political or the Redskins still in the mix that we have. No, okay. Well, I am sorry. Take a long time though, isn't it? So despite a coaching change and the interim coach using both his challenges inside of ninety seconds. They have the greatest quarterback who's ever lived there. Five seven one. And that's why could come in very handy at the end of the season the Green Bay Packers in the max. Right. Tarintino is gonna get a nomination anytime. He puts a movie out, right? And Rogers in the mixie's are they in the mixed? I feel like they're in the midst of the way Kevin Hart was in the mix. You lose Tarazona. It's like they find gay slurs in your past. They're in the mix. Okay. Now despite rotating quarterbacks and we are a week away from Ryan Fitzpatrick coming in and lighting up the world. No, no, listen. I know trade the minus not one but the five eight Tampa Bay Buccaneers now know award shows. Putting ever you can't give everyone on the war. This isn't a participation naked Could get. get. Hop star. What his jewelries worth to you? Let me ask what you really don't. Live at our show with Stu gods on ESPN radio. We've seen real time sports have Aleutians in basketball, where the two pointer is discarded for the three pointer or what you see the chiefs and the Rams and doing offensively Mike Ryan is saying that the next evolution of creativity is going to have a lot more hook and laterals. Mike Ryan is theorizing that the future of the game is going to have volleyball wide receivers betting it back to other guys on their team. I don't know why my grind is theorising that day after the better not around ball to the bears the system of Jared Goff, and and got more receptions for on passes ten yards downfield than he had completions. That I think we all know that Jared Goff is a good quarterback was made better by his system. I think we all think the Patrick Mahomes is a great quarterback made better by. By his system and you saw what happened to Jared Goff? When all of a sudden he was asked to be exceptional. Like, he was asked to carry them because it wasn't going to be, you know, Coke's or girly or or woods. It wasn't going to be any of those guys. They asked your Goff to do it. He couldn't do the lifting last night on passes more than ten yards downfield. He had more interceptions than completion. Yeah. He was brutal. I was surprised that girly only got eleven carries yesterday. That was surprising. They're hard to running into though, the bears on their home field at night are going to be a problem for anybody. You're just not going to see very much in the playoffs. Because that what happened last night was just football that game. The bears were three point dog in that game like Vegas new. They Vegas new. The Rams come in totally overwhelming and get held to nothing, and I just feel like that's going to happen to everybody in the league. It happened to the saints two weeks ago. It still hasn't happened to the chiefs who are averaging forty five points in there too loss. Happened a little bit yesterday. I mean, you did see tyreek hill out. No, more Kareem hunt. You says, yeah, they got slowed, but they scored twenty seven or whatever was was it more than that was twenty six maybe like on. What is the worst? Is that the worst scoring game for the chiefs this season? They had they slogged it out against their zone a little bit. But they're averaging thirty plus points a game. They haven't really been slowed by anyone have they like in terms of they beat the cardinals twenty six to fourteen a few weeks ago to your point they lost to the Rams fifty four to fifty one. We know that loss to the patriots forty three to forty. What about there? Do they have anyone has anyone else? Slowed the chiefs down in term when I say slowed them down kept them under what eras ONA held them under which was twenty six points. Bronco Broncos twenty somebody else's. Yeah. Twenty six was they allow us lowest point total in the season. Arizona had has all the secrets in order to stop Pamela Mahomes and then chiefs offense..

"But the other thing that I noticed yesterday. Maybe just because they were scoring. He has a report with Amari Cooper that he never had with Dez Bryant as soon as Dak Prescott became the quarterback in Dallas desk. Grind stopped being a number one receiver. And he was just hitting Amari Cooper, wasn't that open on anything. Right. Like he wasn't. He wasn't running past everyone. He was that bowl was the deep pass to him was beautiful perfect thrown ball where he only got his separation because the cornerback couldn't turn his hips and his shoulders to the right place. That is interesting because the chemistry with him and Cooper has been. I mean, the second Cooper got there. And you're ready never had that with Dez. I mean Cooper the last three games. It's thirty catches like five hundred yards and five touchdowns. That's incredible Prescott and did Dez Bryant career. That's where it happened Romo was done all the time to desert Brian all the time and making him a number one receiver the way you can be in this league without actually getting open. Like, devante you could be you could be a number one receiver in this league. If you've got one of those quarterback, I don't know how good Michael Thomas would be if you were playing in Arizona. Good anyone? But you do do, you know, does anyone know how good these people would be if they were playing someplace else, I know Michael Thomas has been made into what he is at least in part because he's got one of the most accurate quarterbacks we've ever seen. I think playing there certainly helps. I think Michael Thomas would not be very good. If he was playing in Arizona. I disagree wholeheartedly. I disagree as well. I disagree that he wouldn't be very good. He'd be very good. But Larry FitzGerald been very good. And you know, you've seen what's happened over the last five years of Larry FitzGerald wars numbers. Just don't aren't what they used to be New Orleans has been there for a while with Brees and Sean Payton they hadn't had a weapon like Micheal Thomas ever wide receiver. They haven't had those running backs either I'll had running attacks though, and they had Reggie Bush at the height of his athleticism like they've done creative things on offense. They've had Jimmy grams. Michael Thomas is a different kind of weapon even more different than Marcus Colson. Because Colson was a guy at a hostile that didn't really have speed Michael Thomas is a total package any looks phenomenal. Yes, he does. There is no questioning that Chris who started this thing with Chris Collins worth sliding into your screen at the beginning of the Sunday broadcast where did that start that start with barstool or where I've been told that once I posted a few weeks ago, not knowing that apparently they had done something with it. "Right. I do feel like the dolphins probably won the Super Bowl yesterday. Dolphins raiders. Maybe the Cowboys the cowboy certainly reality had won the Super Bowl tat. I loved going into the sky back. There is no more starched seen than the Jerry Jones sky box. It is just like walking into a very opulent mausoleum. There's so much joy in there. It is my fiance who knows nothing about football walked by the television yesterday, and she's just like old rich guy joy and kept walking. Because just a walk by that was it. That's all she said because Jerry Jones was hugging the same people who hold his glasses all the time for it. And so they win that game. And you've got to say to Jerry Jones good God. I mean when does stuff worked out like that where the media just crushes you on a trade? You made an Amari Cooper has changed the way that team is playing football Amari Cooper has become a legitimate number one. We were asking for two seasons in Oakland. Hell happened to Amari Cooper. Because of all those to catch ten yard games that he was putting up and now he gets over there. And he's dominating. Like, he told us he would when he was coming out of college. And Jason Garrett, succumbing to media pressure. All of a sudden going for long fourth in one's crashing was that it was almost four thousand two. You're right. How crazy was that? Are you surprised by how good Cooper's been because you have? Me. But this is crazy. But what what is what is surprising? Is that for the moment? Jerry Jones gets to laugh at everybody who thought he gave up too much for Mark Guber. Because if they were so limited authencity before he got there. So very limited and their defense is right up there with the bears defense doesn't take the ball away as much but right up there with the bears defense as being the best football mean, they still are kind of limited on offense Amari Cooper said itself. All I was doing I I've just been running slant since I got here the guy jumped it, and we made it work. But a lot of this with the Mark Cooper's after the catch. They're not like thrown super deep to them. They just finally have a receiver with game. Breaking speed. Well, they finally have a receiver. Yes, they ever receiver with game breaking speed..

"You did your entire pre-game show on ESPN booze to God's with food on your lip with on your lip. It is still on your kind bar, man. Looks like a sesame seed, really it's still they're not get rid of it. Okay. It was a kind bar. I mean, I have a kind bar every single morning there are peanuts on that thing sometimes the chocolate melts a little bit. It stays on my lip. Sometimes a peanut gets caught somewhere. I mean, I don't know. What to tell ya peanut is the word that he's using. I remember that because my father pronounces that funny. And sometimes people think he's lecherous when he's just approaching bar obsessive compulsivity talking about the free peanuts on the bar. Peanut. That does sound like it does sound like you saying the peon it, right? Like rear that peon in it. He says peanut funny right here that let's hear it against the guts. Peanut now, say your way, don't it. Thank you. You're going to impersonate yourself poorly peanut. So I remember in one thousand nine hundred eighty six I remember, my parents jubilantly dancing around the living room in a way. I have never seen them jubilantly dance before since and it was when they were New York Mets fans and the ball rolled through Bucknor's legs. My father was in tidy whitey's. I still have the image seared into my mind of my father running around the living room in tidy. He's excited because his Mets had won the ball went through Bucknor's legs. I believe that happened all over Miami. Yesterday. I believe that the Miami Dolphins winning that football game that a bunch of kids saw the patriots losing that way. The patriots never lose that way. The patriots losing with gronk tumbling falling at the goal line. They train the polar bear to catch football. They did not train polar bear to tackle. So he stumbled, and I'm telling you Bella check didn't get out coach there that wasn't the dolphins being smarter than the patriots. If gronk had simply not been clumsy at the end at not had lug nuts falling off of his body and arm fell on the field from so many surgeries gronk would have been in position to make that tackle one hundred percent. Yes. Right. But you can't criticize ballot. Check after the fact you can arm with hindsight. I mean, that's what we do is sports fans. You could say, hey, what are you doing? Ryan tannehill. Can't throw the ball that far how you can criticize him in retrospect, but you can't you could also say if you want, hey, why not just put eleven small guys on the field. So someone can chase down Drake. Instead, you got fact is chasing him. They were fat guys chasing him at the end. And they couldn't they they had angles. Guys, like, me and chasing it. And so the dolphins game ends. And there's plenty to talk about okay throughout football. Yes. Jon Gruden celebrating his third win. Like you won the Super Bowl. There were like three teams yesterday that felt like they won the Super Bowl the bear who won the Super Bowl yesterday the bears the dolphins and the raiders felt like they won their Super Bowl. The bears might actually win the Super Bowl. They won the Super Bowl. Yes. Get out of here. Just stop. And that's That's a a good team. it's an exceptional defense that happened to be at home on a night game. And it's going to win that game. Once it once in a while I put that on a neutral field. The Rams are still favored even after seeing what happened in that game. If even after having seen what happened in that game. I put that game on a neutral field in the Rams are still favored. Okay, that's fair. So who wants Super Bowl yesterday? And by the way, defense travels, I will remind you of that. But who won the Super Bowl? Yes. They'd played at home. Yeah. But defense travel. Defense anywhere. And it's going to be good regardless of where they play regardless of whether they thirty five points. The Brock Osweiler come on. Okay. Good comeback. I mean, they didn't give up a touchdown to Todd Gurley Jared Goff. I know offense of genius Sean McVeigh that that's exactly how you stop that team which the bears will not be able to do because they will not have the cold tundra in. They're gonna play that next game. They see each other in Los Angeles. That's not gonna and that's that's what this season is about who's going to get home field..

"So now that film Ruffy banned by the Kenyan board when Erica here because it said it had a, and I quote homosexual, theme and clear intent to. Promote lesbianism in Kenya contrary to the law dominant values of? The, Kenyans did you deliberately, set, out Societal norms in Kenya where homosexuality is illegal and gay sex is punishable by up to fourteen. Years in jail. No I was fully intending to reflect the society I live in, and I fully intended to create a story that. Mature Kenyan audiences can watch. Can debate can can have opinions and can decide whether or. Not they want to watch it that was my that was that was that was my goal. Mature Kenyans you say I want you to certificate what eighteenth on it I knew that it was it wasn't going to get anything less than an eighteen rating and so. We really wanted an eighteen rating and new incredibly disappointed, when we didn't get one the board. Statement said the decision to ban the film had been taken as they said with various stakeholders and agencies of Lord you accept that they took a considered decision I think that, they took a considered, decision for them but but. I feel like they they Ran. Counter to our constitution because our constitution actually allows us, freedom of expression so I find, it Just a challenge to think that the Kenya from classification board would push on issues. That run counter to the constitution that we as the people of the Republic of Kenya voted in but you are accused by the board. Of breaking the law by altering the film, script that you had originally submitted for licensing without permission they say in. The script that you, submitted the lead actors were portrayed as. Having. Being being attacked for, political reasons whereas in the? Film they were obviously attacked for, being homosexuality homosexual is, that the case did you mislead the affected not mislead the authorities at all but we have a we have a film license that is based on the shooting script and the film license, has a very clear, stamp saying that the received, all versions of the scripts that we sent them including the shooting script which is the full was which was. The script that we ended up making it firm and editing and making the phone that we had so. I feel like that I feel like it's been true all right so that's your side of the. Argument is still the controversies Some manifestations to another one is the spokeswoman for the Kenyan Borden Moluccas says that it, is a harebrained scheme by foreigners funding film producers in. Kenya to promote homosexuality in the name. Of equality, and inclusion this will be exposed and strongly resisted I mean do you feel that there's any credence to that? Kind. Of. Criticism that you're making films somehow to western agenda absolutely, not I think that what I feel is African is homophobia homophobia is un-african because we as as as a continent and, as a, country have always been made. Up of diverse people diverse societies and diverse, cultures and cultures, and some of those, people have been homosexual not just now but in the past and. There's recorded history of that in in in many different forms so I think that to to To say that it is a western, agenda is incorrect and, also it's belittling but do you feel that your film does undermine. The sensibilities of the Kenyan people How could it because that's what the board says. I disagreed with the board on that on on that side, because how could it if we ask them for an, eighteen rating so that people can watch them that doesn't mean that when they walk out of the film there, would be gay as a result of watching it nor does? It mean that..

"Cropped up at some stage in the past and indeed there are very strong ties between kenya on its own nevermind east african community and china not only does china for instance have four hundred different chinese firms in kenya supplying the market already hoping out with infrastructure developments construction firms in there helping to build roads not only did they sign a double taxation agreement back in october last year in order to encourage yet more chinese firms to invest into the kenya marketplace but the chinese government has been taking such an interesting kenya that if you went to the main university in nairobi you would find an entire department dedicated to china studies so you've got entire classrooms full of kenyan children students as they would be learning mandarin cantonese so that they can help facilitate the business arrangements between these two countries frustrating but no free trade agreement as yet for hampshire with the business many thanks twenty five minutes past the hour let's talk about a young man who at the age of about twenty five hundred portrait taken in around sixteen thirty the portrait was bought at a london auction house just as a nice picture snobby identify as more than a nice picture it's a rembrandt art historian and dealer yon six bought it and it appears to be the first unknown painting by rembrandt turn up in over forty years we've been speaking to yan six i got the catalog and i saw a picture cuts look the circle of rembrandt's and i thought to myself hang on circle this looks like fainting from the streets easy and i don't think that ever had a circle at that moment and i really looked at the picture and and the sitter sort of contact and that's one of the main six for rembrandt portrait's is that these depict that people really make contact with you now.
