"In Neil and stadium. Call me back after that one, okay? CJ is in Virginia. Good afternoon. Hey, could we talk to you, Paul? Thank you. Hey, listen, I wanted to say, I've been listening to the show prior two to three years. I don't know, Tom kind of gets it away or something like that. And I've been listening to the legend call in all the time. And I got to say yesterday, I thought legends best call. I thought he showed a lot of wisdom. And a little bit of humbleness. And I thought it was a great call. And I just want to say that he kind of a lot of the Bama fans calling this week with the defense of dama. And I just thought it was a great call. So I just want to give him a shout out. Who knows? Maybe he and I could actually sit down and watch Alabama LSU game together. Have a couple of beers. We might kill each other still before the end of the game, but I have hope. Well, after that call, let me set your mind to rest. I don't think legend is going to be killing mood anymore. Yeah. You never know, could end up. Legends a guy that enjoys college football. He would be the perfect guy to watch a game. I mean, there's some people I would not want to watch a game with like Larry Jerome, let's see, who else from Alabama that would be objectionable, but oh, I don't want to do anything with that guy. But Larry, you would have a blast with legend. He's a funny guy. As you said, there was his best call. I was struggling because he's been on a roll lately with it's hard to it's hard to decipher or differentiate which he wanted so good because they're also great. We will take a break. Speaking of the Kentucky wildcats, we'll talk to somebody who writes about them for a living and maybe figure out if this is the weekend, the Kentucky gets back on track. John

"The Paul finebaum show podcast. What is up y'all? Welcome back to the Paul fine bombshell. Peter burns sitting in for mister Paul fine bob, a lot of great games coming up this week, including Arkansas, headed up to BYU, razorbacks really desperately need a win in that one more than likely going to see will levis back for the Kentucky wildcats and make sure that they don't get off to a losing skid there. They bought lost two in a row and then now they face a red hot Mississippi state squad. That's playing well. And I got this tweet in from Bundy from Polk, who corrected me a couple of minutes ago says, guys, Danny white never said anything about the goalpost in ordering extra ones that came from a troll account. So you see what? A little accountability that I want to make sure I didn't put anybody in some hot water there. 8 5 5 two four two Paul is the number. Daryl is in Columbus. What's up, Darryl? What's going on, Peter? Man, living the dream. What are you doing? You know what? I mean, I hope that they don't need to, they don't need to order them to go post right, yeah, I don't think. I tell you what, James, go come down and who can run the football, I believe. But okay, if Tennessee would have played Alabama last week and album played out a video to get a name, I'd give Tennessee to shot to win the football game. But Alabama is not going to play like that again this week. And it's going to come down to whoever can run the football and it really has been a thing going to be Florida and Alabama in the same season, Peter. You think that's going to happen. Daryl, I don't believe that. I picked Alabama in this game. And I say this, Daryl, if Bryce young plays. If Bryce young plays, I picked them if he doesn't, I go with Tennessee. It's really as simple as that. And I actually do think the beating Florida is the reason why I would give Tennessee the knot if it's not Bryce young. If for no other fact of like, you feel like you got over that hump. I know as an LSU fan, once LSU beat Alabama in 2019, it was a rap. Tigers are winning at all. Like there was no question, but they had to get over that Mark. And I think now that they got over that Florida hump, now how do they take that next step and it's a matter of really or whether or not the former Heisman Trophy quarterback is healthy enough to play in this game. And how their defense plays. Do you write, how about I tell you what? You go look. I mean, that was just Bobby as bad as Florida had. I mean, it's been a while since they beat Alabama, you know, but it's gonna come down to, I believe, just complete deep defense where it's gonna matter. I still believe right now, okay? You got three teams in the country. Georgia, Ohio slate, Alabama, all three top ten in total offense. Top ten are told defense. The only three and Tennessee in the top 50 in defense and Alabama can run the football. I just Alabama would have to fall on their face, turn the football over a lot. Tennessee would have to play almost perfect game to pull off the upset, I believe. But hey, what about them dolls? What do you think about George before? You know what? I was talking to one of our good directors over here, Joe Disney, who's a die hard Georgia fan. And I said, and we were talking about it because there doesn't seem as much buzz around this Georgia team. And I was like, man, that's just, that's just crazy. And it's almost unfair, Daryl to this Georgia squad who I think is very good because I think there's so many people that are still living in kind of that shadow of last year that we don't realize what their 25 guys that are gone, either to the NFL or transport portal it out to where the dogs have not got enough love. And I think they're getting better. In fact, I would put the wind that they had against auburn equally as impressive as the one they had against Oregon to start the season. Oh, absolutely. Well, we got back up to our standard again. Against the auburn, but we right now are young. Okay, but we're getting better and better and better and better. I mean, I can't complain about how George is playing. Who are we lost? I mean, we're undefeated. That's all that matters. I know no matter how you win, as long as you win, and we won, we'll put 42 up on our care of them, play to that standard. We're got some more hard, okay, we got ten cars hurt. He's up there, keeping the player. How long he's going to be out. Amy Mitchell is trying to get back. We need him back 'cause that's gonna open up being able to pull the football down the field vertically a little more. But hey, man, I mean, I feel like right now, we're clicking on all cylinders. I think we're probably the best football team in the country. And we got more of it. We got baby this week. We got a week off and then the gut will start. Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi state, Kentucky. That's going to tell the story right there, but you got to like what you see so far in the dogs. Daryl, thank you for the phone call. I do like what I see with the dogs right now. I will say this, they are lucky that the schedule plays out the way that it does, because I think they were able to beat an organ team that frankly wasn't ready. It was Dan landings game. And I think Todd munken with this program right now, he looked at it and he said, let me showcase stetson Bennett, throwing the ball a little bit more. And they had some success. And I think they got over their skis a little bit and trying to make that happen. That's been a little bit banged up as well. I think like I said, the Georgia team that I saw against auburn was exactly how I think Kirby wants to win games. They run the ball extremely well on first down, give them some accessible second and third down place that they can take some shots for and play great defense. That's the type of football that Georgia wants to win. And I think that continues to get stronger. Although, you talked about that stretch of games.

"There's a lot of good teams playing against not good teams, so it's actually not a two loaded Wednesday and Thursday. But if you're listening in the podcast tend to point you in the right direction. I said the two best are probably perdue at Iowa. I'm curious to see what both those teams do when that's about that's a 9 eastern tip on Thursday and then saint Mary's at San Francisco a couple of West Coast conference teams that are clearly projected to make the instantly turn at this stage. I would advise the Dons to take care of business and win that game at home against the gales if they lose things. They'll start to get a little bit tricky. That is a ten eastern tip on Thursday night. Do you realize today is an important anniversary in the history of basketball? Okay. I don't know what it is. January 26th, what am I going to do? Well, sadly, it's the two year anniversary of the death of Kobe Bryant. Oh, I did not realize today. It's been two years. Wow. But a hell of a two years, you know? And so I guess that for our purposes, it's the 12 year anniversary. Oh, is it really? Man, I thought about this like two weeks ago and I forgot to I was gonna have the stuff queued up too. Do you remember before you reveal it? Do you remember when I did this? I would have done this podcast intro, I really think it was like 6 years ago. Do you remember when I did the podcast intro of the radio call with all that stuff? You don't remember how they don't remember anything cool stuff. Anyway, tell them what it is. Special, I don't remember the specifics of it, but it is today the 12 year anniversary of the Devon Downey game. 30 points, 5 rebounds, three assists, two steals in a 68 62 South Carolina victory over John calipari's Kentucky wildcats. UK was 19 O, ranked number one in the country. John Cal Perry's first loss at Kentucky. Was delivered by the great Devon Downey the legend. The legend and great Devon Downey. It's been 12 years. Yeah, there was an episode where the entire intro was the radio called bits and pieces. I think radio and TV combined have just Devon down. He going off. Going off against a Kentucky team, man, that's just wild. I think that it's been 12 years since that happened. But yeah, this was I don't know why I wouldn't start with this. I listened to Mac news significant. I get all that, but I can't believe you let me go more than an hour before reminding me that it was actually today. How dare you? Some people like to bring up the Devon down. He was 9 of 29 from the field in that game. I don't like those people. That's actually genuinely stunning. When I looked at it this morning, I was like 9 to 29. I didn't remember that part. I feel like he was 28 for 29. My man miss 20 shots in a game and got a and got a podcast shut up forever. Miss 20 shots of the game. That's on you. We'll be shouting out.

"And we welcome you back. We'll enjoy the conversation with coach Schneider. Interesting to get an old school approach to the modern game. Let's take some more phone calls here at 8 5 5 two four two 7 two 8 5 and Taylor is up next in Texas or hello Taylor. Hey, what's going on? How you doing, man? Where you're doing great. Thank you. Yeah, I'm an Austin Texas and they call me mister Oklahoma. Do they? Yes, sir. I mean, I don't have another gives you tea, but I like Oklahoma. And I want to ask you how that looks. How do you say that new coach gonna do? Brett billable? Yes. How are you thinking he's going to do, man? First of all, I think you have to really work hard to screw up Oklahoma. It's got so many attributes and advantages. I don't know what he'll look like as a head coach. I know as a defensive coordinator, he has been one of the very best in the country for 15 years. So I think that the fact that he's been to Oklahoma is a tremendous advantage. My guess is he'll do well. Yeah, who we do, man, because we head into that SEC, man. And I can't wait. Well, we can't wait either. I wish it was tomorrow. Hey, thank you for the call. Appreciate it. Larry is up next in Alabama. Hello, Larry. How you doing, Paul? First time caller. Thank you very much. Been following you since you worked in Birmingham, you and Lewis Gerard, you're the only reason I ever bought the Birmingham paper. Well, thank you. I appreciate that. Just calling in about all the people complaining about Desmond. Maybe what he said was a little bit tasteless, but it wasn't really that bad. I mean, people don't call in a complaint about a curve street being so biased towards Ohio State. And if you go back and look at film, every Saturday, he's always whining about Ohio State. I mean, sometimes it gets really old to listen to him. And anyway, that's all I had to say. Thank you very much for taking the call. Thank you. I appreciate it. Royce, who is up next, hey Royce, good afternoon. This is all sides from a floor here. We talk about four years ago. I'm the Kentucky fan. Well, thank you, sir. How you doing? I still watch the show when I can. I try to get you last year when the Kentucky wildcats was doing as I stated they would do for years ago where I told you what condition to Kentucky wildcats was going to be and which was last year. They're going to have a better year this year. Here's my point. Here's why I want to talk about every time I came on, I spoke about how Cal Perry was not a great coach, but a good coach. I no longer call him coach cow. I call him Cal the recruiter when I'm online with the blue big blue nation. Here's my point. One thing I told you back then is they will no longer get top 5 and top team players. Is that or is that not true? Well, it certainly they're not getting them to the degree that they once did. I think we all know that. Okay. Okay, now. What are the big part of my life? And by the way, we will talk to coach Calder, but I watched the end of the game the other night at Notre-Dame. And if you don't think beating Kentucky matters, I mean, Notre-Dame rushed to court. And this is not an undefeated 2015 Kentucky team. This is a good, maybe great, maybe not, but I just think you're selling Kurt cow just a little bit short. I'm like, I'm from Kentucky. I cut me today, I believe the blue blood. And here's my last book 'cause I knew you got a call is waiting. The thing is, is Notre-Dame and we have a time out, get the ball across court and call a time out instead of a play. That's the only other one of the other main issues I have with him is time management and while you hanging over back four years ago, we may hit the shot that kept us going to the final four. Because he did not or his players did not call the time out. You gotta call the timeout and set up a play for these guys. You got to. Listen, I'm not saying you can't find criticism with cow. Consider the talent that he's had, you can quibble, but his overall record is phenomenal. And I think you can quibble about maybe a few more banners, but that program has still been in the forefront every day that he's been there. Last year was an exception, but last year was an exception to every thing. Joe was up next in Arkansas. Hello, Joe. Yes. Paul, this is Joel and I'm taking my call. Thank you. I like that. Probably insignificant question, but I think it's been wondering, I've been back today as a bare bot in an Alabama fan all my life. And this when did the crystal ball represent the top ten in the nation, when they did change to this little wooden level got mad. You know what about that? It's a good question. I'll see if we can research that. It seems like the crystal ball has been there for was there for a long time. But I don't know. That's not something I am familiar with. Okay. I'll be listening and simply can't find out. Thank you. I will give that every working hour. Let's go to Jack, who is in Florida. Hello Jack. Yeah, hey, Paul, hope you're having a happy holidays. Thank you. We are. Thank you for taking my call. I got to admit us a Texas fan. I'm ecstatic about when you were a transferring to Texas. I do want to know whether you think I'm overdoing the opioids by suggesting that Texas will now win the next four national championships and viewers will take the next four highs and trophies. Am I overdoing it? Seriously, do you think this is good for Texas and good for college football in general? Well, first of all, I don't think anyone will ever win four Heisman's on the road because if you win three, you're gone. But beyond that, I think it's a great story for Steve sarkisian. Now what does it do for the arch Manning sweepstakes is another story because a lot of people have wondered whether he would was leaning toward sark, but you can't turn down the best player in the country from last year who now has at least a year of watching from within.

"Weekend it's loaded with major sporting events across the board. In college football this afternoon, the number one ranked Georgia bulldogs are taking on the number 11 ranked and undefeated university of Kentucky wildcats. That's a big deal here in the bluegrass. Georgia is favored by about, oh, 22 and a half points. If this were a match race between two horses currently in training, which horse would be Georgia and which horse would you say would be Kentucky. Tim, you want it first? Yeah. Well, I guess George asked to be the horse that everyone expects to win, right? So I would say I'm gonna take my Georgia team is gonna be Nick's go. He's supposed to win. And my Kentucky is gonna be a team that maybe isn't getting the respect, maybe it should be getting. And I'm gonna take maxfield and put him in that position because maxfield's a horse that always shows up. I mean, he doesn't, he's got 7 wins and ten starts two seconds and the third, he's always in the mix. And I think that on his best day, he might be able to turn the tables on Nick's go in the classic, especially if this speed speed dual develops. So, you know, maxfield will be my Kentucky to nix goes to Georgia. Tim just stole my thunder. I put a lot of thought into it too. And that's a good analogy. So since all my thumb, I'm gonna go back in time and not worry about horses racing today and say Georgia, Georgia is American pharaoh. And Kentucky is keen eyes on Travers day. Don't catch. I thought you were going to say that anyway. I thought you were going to break the rules and go that way. I like to break rules. Well, we know that. Yeah. Yeah. As we all know that Georgia did not fare well on Trevor's day in 2015. Exactly. Exactly, so standing here in the bluegrass journey on the cats. All right, well, there you go. No, I'm not going to it's a madhouse over there. Mike, do you ever go to the games, you write there in town? Yeah, I used to be a season ticket holder to UK football. But I'm not anymore, but I used to be. There are a lot of fun. Of course, today's game is at Georgia. So you have to go between the hedges down there in Athens. But we'll certainly be tuned in. Problem is it's a three 30 eastern start, and of course we've got kimlin going on. Dale, you'll be working. You got a couple of horses at keeneland today. Officer Nick and Cabana time. How about either of those two horses? Do they turn into Georgia later today for you? We'll see what happens with the turf if we stay on the turf. I think they'll move way up. They want them to run well on a dirt, but hopefully we stay on the turf and they run big. But we'll be keeping it on the score. Very proud of Kentucky football this year. Unbelievable start out 6 O like to have him win as many SEC games. Hats off to the coach is great. Well, they just beat LSU, didn't they? They just dumped on LSU. Yeah. Yep. Yep. All right, well, I think next week, we've gotten such great feedback on this segment. And I know that a lot of listeners who tune into this, I asked, they answer segment. Each and every week, would love to be able to ask questions of you guys. So I think starting next week, we will put it out there on social media on our HR N Twitter account that folks can send us a question that they would like the two of you to debate the two of you to answer for them. And it'll be our HR N wild card question of the morning. And we'll wrap up these segments with that question from our listeners each and every Saturday morning. I think that would be a lot of fun. What do you think? Sounds good to me, but I hope we have somebody shifting through them pretty good. Yeah, we'll choose the one we like. Right, exactly. Well, one week, though, we don't just have a wild card. You got to answer whatever's ask. I think we should do that every time. All right. And if people take the time to take a question and make a question up, we'll answer it. There's something I might not want to answer though. They don't like the answers. That's too bad. All right. Dan, when you like and Tammy up, there's a question for you. Yeah. She keeps talking about a $127,000 maid race and she might go back to rotten and November. Yeah. I can't believe he's fantastic. Yeah, I am kidding. We got two kids and dangers. But she won a lot of races. I had good careers with Jackie. She was ahead of her time. Female writer in Kentucky, but yeah, it'd be nice if she was riding right now if the person's where they are. Yeah, Tammy Fox for those of you who don't know who we're talking about there just really good rider. All right guys, that'll do it for today. We're back next week another brand new edition. I ask, they answer, it'll be the same time. It'll be ten 30 eastern and good luck Dale appreciate it and Timmy. Good luck at the windows. Thanks, folks. Don't feel that. See you later. All right, I ask, they answer Dale Roman's Tim wilkin. And by the way, if you missed any of those particular segments, all you have to do is.

"The pride passion and pageantry of college football lives here. This is the qualifying bomb show hour two podcast. Okay, welcome back another program here in the middle of the week as we get ready to head toward a pretty important weekend in college football. We will be in Athens on Friday getting you ready for the game of the day and that's of course involving the Kentucky wildcats and Mark stoops has created a top SEC program. There was none before. Well at least not in a very long time. You sent a phenomenal job where your course talked to the coach the other day. And the Kentucky wildcats are undefeated. SEC meetings with both teams 6 and better since division format 92. Do you notice something? 1916, 12, 11, ten, 9, 98. Yeah, until 2000, they've really primarily consisted of west teams. Of course, O 9 and 98, you had east versus west, but for the most part, it's been all about the SEC west. Not this time around. How about this for dog fans? Last time, the number one team showed up. Hasn't happened. First game at home as a number one ranked team. Now that's interesting. I think that just shows you how big this game is with Alabama's loss. There would have already been plenty of attention on Athens Saturday afternoon, but there's even more now the fact that Kentucky is coming in undefeated as well. How about the Alabama defense? It has a daunting task against mister B states improved offense. You buy in? You might want to. Mike leach has got some big time wins now the majority occurred to Texas tech. He wants me to number one team at Texas tech. Can you do it this time around? I'm not betting, but I can be convinced we still have four hours to go. So state fans let us hear from you. And Dan Mullen, mistake prone Gators have a plan to handle LSU's raucous Tiger stadium. Now, will it be raucous? At 11 a.m. in the morning, we'll be raucous with all the problems that program is encountering. Another loss for the tigers, Eli Rick, considered one of the top defensive players in the country, so they've lost him. They've lost stingley, but who else will be lost from the LSU program? But did you know this is just a third time the tigers have kicked off before noon at home in the past ten years. Maybe Utah state in 19 Arkansas in 20. I remember them beating Florida about 6 years ago. Remember being at the game? They have won 9 straight pre noon games. And they talk about how actually I think Florida meets them the last time I was there. Okay, we got a and M and Missouri first meeting since 14. I used to play each other a lot. Auburn, and number 17 Arkansas, Arkansas lost the last 5 in the series, all missing Tennessee, that doesn't happen very often. First time since 2010. Derek Dooley was the coach at the university of Tennessee back then. 13 undefeated college team, what lies ahead? That's a question that we will be asking throughout the program today. David aven joins us. He's done a couple of articles that are of great interest, including one of us the Tennessee coaching search about four years ago that ended up with Jeremy Pruitt. We had to Baton Rouge in the second hour to get a tell the tape on that program. Edgar Thompson from the Orlando sentinel. And Drea and alissa joining us in the third hour. Your calls right now at 8 5 5 two four two 7 two 8 5. Let's check in with Andre first. Good afternoon, Andre. Thanks for taking my call, coach. What was going on with Elias rich down at in bedroom, because I haven't heard that one yet. Yeah, he's banged up or so he says. Yeah. Well, he was thinking about going in transporter. But what's last year he was thinking about cold water the latest world of culture, when they go for the trigger. So you're no longer wondering if you're just asking when, right? Ain't no doubt. Ain't no doubt coach. I know it. And you know it is just a matter of win. It's not ill. Yeah, I think this I think this weekend, I think the tone and tenor of this game will be important and then they had to all miss the following week and think about this for a second Andre after the old miss game. There is a biweek. Think about that for a second. It is going to go down before that coach. I'm doing as you know it. You can feel it in the wind. Who gonna be the next coach coach? Who do you suggest? Yeah, that I don't know. Who would you like to see? Now in life women would go with somebody young, you know, and that can recruit the offensive line and the defense in line and the linebackers because that's where we're hurting yet. I wish I could have got the defense coordinator or noticing. Freeman, I think he would be good. Just but go with somebody young, coach, no doubt about that. So, let's say for taking my call Andre a great to hear from you. Thank you so much. Faye is up next in Virginia. Hello fey. Hey, Paul. How are you doing today? Hey, we are doing great. I enjoy opening while I was sitting here listening. Thank you. Yeah. Georgia and Kentucky be interesting, but I think since Kentucky has got a few players out. I don't know if this is going to go very well for them and to see an old miss, right? Right. That's gonna be a good game, I think. Who do you see? I'm a fan baby. Yeah. You know, they had a misstep of two or three on Saturday, but that given us and that's joy for the last few years to look at and to watch we can't be that upset with them. You know what happens to everybody every now and then? It does happen that way. Even the best have a bad day. Yeah, it was her day, wouldn't it? But you know what? That's okay, I think they'll rise above it. And I just want to know, I'm 83 years young. Oh, man. I've been yeah. Alabama fan all my life. Born and raised in Alabama and been through talked about listing the games on the radio. Oh, sure. I can attest that. I bet you can. Yes, sir. And my husband worked at CBS studio in hospital Alabama at one time. Oh, did he? Yeah. And they're Brian would come through every now and then. And that was quite amazing. He really enjoyed that. He was. Did you ever did you ever meet the bear? No, I never met him, but I've got a big picture of him when he was on the team with USC they played or you see la. A USC. Yeah, and a friend that had gone to the ball games in bourbon count, which we went often. And I got a signature on it. Wow..

"At that audio. I'll play it for you a little bit later. I thought this one was funnier when he talked about. Well, maybe they should play Jalen Moore. The only thing I said, I said, what the coaches were, you know, screwing them because I'm not playing anymore. He played one snapshot touchdown. He should play a lot more right, Of course. Come on defensive coaches. Where you at on this? I mean, how are you not able to see into the future and realize he had that skill set. It's pretty good Return. No one play one touchdown and all time great there that game last night for Friday night for the cards. Definitely definitely going to be remembering that one for a while because the opening game against Ole Miss was such a disappointment. I mean, Satterfield said many times now, while we were terrible in that first have your kind of terrible the whole game. I mean, I got whatever the Ole Miss wasn't on full throttle because they'd already beaten you in the Louisville played better in the second half, but Almost didn't try to go fast. They dial back the tempo and you could see they weren't as sharp in the second half when you're up. What was it 26 to? Nothing Halftime. You think you got that one in the bag? You're going to dial it back a little bit. They were correct. So you didn't get old Mrs best in the second half, either. So that was an embarrassment on national TV Friday night. You're the only game on at that. In that time block and your great so that was all good. I went home and watched that thing again. I mean, I stayed up till 1 30 in the morning is watching the key plays over again Because you know where you and I were sitting. We had a great We had great seats. Thank you, Flynn. Construction? Yeah, that was awesome. Uh huh. But you know, you like to go back and see each each of the pushes where you had to go here. There. You want to be able to see the positives and negatives on each place. And where guys made really good moves And oh, yeah, that UCF quarterback was great. I'm sorry that it's clavicle was busted on that last play. Yeah. And from what I was seeing, uh, Joey Gatewood not expected to be the starter for them. Now they're going to go with one of their other quarterbacks. I guess Joey still going to be a situational guy for them, but not going to be able to step into the starting role there. You see a Mark Stoops will be in at six o'clock tonight. They had a phenomenal Play for 95 yards in the fourth quarter, which sealed the deal, and it was kind of lackluster performance by the Kentucky Wildcats. Nonetheless, a pick six is always a good thing. Pressure coming late girls in the middle here. Your mama time relations. Tyrrell Asian, collects a, uh ball and runs 95 yards and then essentially puts that game away. But that was tougher than people thought for UK, and they're like, what do we think now?.

"Broadcast. Today we are celebrating college football because it's kind of good around here in a whole lot of areas is back in as the setback to the right of Levis, three wideouts left tight end rig the cattles in on the right side after the big catch and run. Handoff. Rodriguez straight a hint touchdown. He fumbled a little people touchdown over the far side. I think we got to the officials on either side signaling touchdown as they were coming in. As the time Legion. Jeff Pecora Carlson. He fumbled. He fumbled, he fumbled. Rodriguez is a heck of a back. He's great for the Kentucky Wildcats. We're all excited about his talent level. And it was. He was named a like co offensive player of the week and the S E. C. We saw, but they made note of the fact in there that he did fumble on that play, and that Guard Eli Cox is credited with the actual touchdown. That's awesome. When you're an offensive guard and you get six you think Eli Cox is going to talk about that once or twice in his life? He's going to call that the game winner. I got the game winner. That's right. I won the game, kids. I won the game for my Kentucky Wildcats. Tell us again, Grandpa, How did you do it? Good for him. I mean, that's just a matter of happenstance that he fell on the ball that came loose from Rodriguez and the UK game. Of course, they had to go good old time beating. The Mizzou Tigers, which a lot of people felt like, well, they're kind of they give UK trouble now and again. We don't know what to expect UK was finding that ball game. So good on them. Good on Eli Cox got on Chris Rodriguez. Let's see what else happened here. Did we get a U? F l? Yeah, We've got a U F L player also picking up some sort of an act co defensive back of the week honor. Did they send you a pizza or anything? Or you Just get your name on the website. Or if you're the co anything, Do you even get the whole pizza? Just get half Cottrell Clark Co. A CC defensive back of the week at a couple of Nice interceptions, few good tackles behind the line for loss there. He shared his award with Pittsburgh's Brandon Hill. So there you go. Pit got a big win two down in Knoxville in Knoxville, Tennessee. The vaults and people, of course, are going through the schedules. Now, after they see teams play a little bit. You've seen Louisville in two games. You've seen Kentucky and a couple of games. You've seen Indiana and a few you've seen Tennessee and if you're now, people, like okay, I got this thing figured out Now, A lot of people are saying those cats they're going to be nine and three because they're going to beat. Self care whether gonna be Chattanooga this week, But then they're going to be South Carolina. And then they start looking at l s u. I think else who's down? Oh, let's let's take the cats in that one. And then they get to that last game on the regular season, so we're gonna kill long. That's the way we say that here in this state. If you're new to the area, we're lazy. We're so lazy. We can't pronounce the word Louisville. King Louis. There never was a king long, but we said Wome woes is going to get run over by Kentucky, according to the Cats, fans I say you just wait and see. First thing Louisville is going to do is figure out how to work. The card readers at the concession stands. Somebody's gonna plug in something so that those things work a whole lot better. And then the football team is going to get better. All my Friday night when they take on Central Florida will carry that game for you here on news radio 8 40 WHS. The voice of the Louisville Cardinals and the Kentucky Wildcats their game. Versus Chattanooga will air this weekend. So we have lots of college football fun around here for sure. And talk about it frequently on the electric radio. Also on our broadcasting. Oh, I hear the secretary of State of Indiana is going to join me in a little while. We're going to meet Holly Sullivan a little bit later on today. I'm sure the bees man is going to want to check in on our broadcast today. The governor is on at four o'clock today. And then coach Stoops is lined up for six o'clock show tonight his own call in show, so it's an action packed afternoon. I'm glad you were here. I have a cool beverage. Get yourself one. Sit back and relax. We're going to have fun today. This. This view was worth the hike right? And it's a good way to stay on.

"We'll see if there's change their todd but if auburn wants to get back to a top five defense they're gonna have to figure out how to be a little bit more physical on the front. And i just don't see the guy is there to play that style and ultimately if your opponents constantly and manageable situations then it kind of limits the successor your secondary can half because we think it's going to be great secondary but the way they can be really elite in the back half is if the front seven on early down somehow allows third mediums in third and longs more than they did last season. But i'm not sure it's going to be the case. There isn't talent there but she's very small unit auburn. I could go through a bit of a transitional phase. We'll see if it works out well for the program or if it's getting back to basics in rebuilding be careful what you wish for auburn tigers fans. You ran gus malzahn out of town. Let's hope for your sake. You have a head coach. They can take the program back to the levels that you expect to be at at a year in year out based somehow yeah exactly. Ucf comes out the big winner and all this and hopefully gus finds it a little bit easier. Sledding down there in orlando significantly less pressure maybe be able to recruit against the state and put a little bit more pressure on your boys in tallahassee and of course the fans in gainesville and of course down there in coral gables hilarious is that all burn. Wanted this guy out so bad. They bought them out for twenty one and a half million and he goes to ucf and he like landed their highest recruit and the ucf history of recruited. I mean we come at things from a sports standpoint with a much more pragmatic viewpoint. We look teams. Go hear their strengths. Here are their weaknesses. Know what you are and know how to set those expectations college. Football fans don't exactly fauna that particular bucket. And i guess when you're consistently competing against nick sabin you can't win. Sec west titles. You have to know who you are as a program and auburn is in alabama and the fact that gus wasn't able to get them there other than the one national championship which is saying an awful lot Fans just painted him in a corner and you get to a point where you go to hell with this. I'm moving on somewhere else. Right actually appreciate. I can tell you. Florida state florida miami. No one was fearful of josh hypol- taking their tier two guys or their high level. Three star guys that created a depth. They are with gus malzahn. And that's going to be interesting to see materialize over the next couple of years while a program. Terry wilson transfers out there. Starting quarterback headed to new mexico. And you bring in a quarterback in. We'll let us by all accounts appears to have the inside track to win the starting quarterback job which kentucky clearly needs because when you're one hundred twenty second in the country and explosive plaque passing offense a season ago. You need a little bit more when i breakdown kentucky overall. I don't think anybody is protecting them to be dark horse to win the sec's but i get the overall sentiment that this team is being a little bit discounted for everything that they have going on right completely agree and you mentioned that identity change with kentucky's offense.
