"Has been inducted into the naismith memorial hall of fame congrats to him. It was announced this weekend. No surprise it would have only been surprising if you didn't make it this year. Jay is one of only fifteen division one. Men's basketball coaches with at least two national titles. That alone was enough to get him in right. Yeah for sure. He'd been on the ballot for a few years in fact so they may not remember this but the hall actually changes criteria for eligibility for coaches fears. Back this happened. When rick pitino got fired from louisville he was an active coach in the hall of fame. And i think for the hall to better protect itself. I guess some of this stuff. Plus i was told. You know the coaches that are getting in at fifty two even though the you know most of them ultimately prove worthy all them prove worthy from a accomplishment standpoint like their stories aren't done yet so the new rules. Are you have to be sixty years old. And you have to serve twenty five years as an assistant or head coach Before you can be under consideration at college or professional or high school level. It's twenty five years and six years old. That's the new rule now writes fifty nine. He won't be sixty until december. I think he got in because he was on the last ballot before they changed the rules. So i think he was grandfathered in so yeah he's obviously worthy. He was the coach of the decade. He sits at six hundred. Twelve wins has won sixty nine percent of his games thirty and fourteen thirty and fourteen tournament record. That's pretty damn good. He has ten regular season titles six conference tournament titles and he's probably on say the thirteenth or fourteenth hole of his head coaching career. So we are obviously in agreement jay right like this didn't come too soon right. Gp like it's kinda right. The trains running on schedule. It's right on time whether it was this year the next year like he's done enough at this point where we say that this is this is the right call correct. Of course like. I don't get too caught up on you know when you're on the ballot when you're not on the ballot bid whatever change the criteria every year. If you want doesn't matter to me just when when you are jay wright and you've got to national titles and as you pointed out three final fours ten conference championships. Six conference tournament championships. Your time naismith. National coach of the year. You won eight conference coach of the year awards. You're the ap coach of the decade. In the past eight seasons you want seven big east regular season titles. Four biggies tournament titles. If you're on the ballot how can somebody not vote for. You wouldn't understand how you could say you know what i don't know if he's done enough yet. Like what do you mean. He could retire if he retired today. Five years from now would you vote him into the hall of fame. Yeah sure then voting today talking about. Yeah i agree. I agree a so with that in mind. I'll have a little bit on this on tuesday. Here's what i wanna do. I got twelve active coaches. Okay i want you to go. Yes no just give it just and then we can get into a couple of these guys and we can just hash out real quick. But i'm going to. I want to rattle them. Okay twelve you're going to say you're going to say whether they ultimately you're just predicting whether they ultimately get into the hall of fame. These are active coaches. I'm gonna rattle them off. Okay here we go got it. This is alphabetical order. By the way here we go..

"And South Carolina in the big rematch of Colonial Life Arena this afternoon. We're joined by head coach Kyra L. Z and coach Just when you thought that the schedule couldn't get any crazier this year, with everything going on Mother Nature throws snow and I set you this week. It's the team been able to jump from expecting to play one Game T playing now against South Carolina. Hey, This is a year of adjustments and flexibility and our ability to remain resilient, uh, is vital. Um, but, you know, everybody's had to make a justice that part of Cove it and here we are ready to go. I'm curious from your perspective is a former player. I know athletes tend to settle into routines, especially when you get this late into a season. They like having their routines and they're normal schedule for your players. How well have they had to know they've had to adjust. But how well have they adjusted to such a fluid season this year in the way, the schedules have changed from week to week. You know? They have adjusted. It is tough, You know athletes or use the schedule routine on Ben when that doesn't happen, and those them off for a second that while we continue to talk about Being able to mentally refocus on what we have to do. You know, we went into practice thinking we were going to play l s u and then I was like, absolutely not this practice now. Well, we're going to prepare for South Carolina. So it was. You know, it's a change and but they have handled it will overall. Spoke with Ryan Howard earlier this week, and she mentioned how intentional she is in practice and trying to use what practice time is available to her advantage. When you see the way she has brought herself to practice in the way she intentionally goes about things, how does that help the rest of her teammates? Well, when she she raises the bar and the level of competitiveness, uh, that we bring, in fact, this and when she's one of your best players and can fact this hard and be intentional about getting better, um, it's contagious. And the whole team uh, you know, followed her lead as well, as you know, keeping McKinney Um, you know her emotional energy that she brings back this, but it keeps us locked in, and ultimately they want to achieve the goals that we have set out for this year. Speaking of goals. This is a great opportunity for this team. With three games remaining in the regular season starting today, it's South Carolina. There's a lot this team can still accomplish over these next three games, Coach. So has this team talked much about the importance of these three remaining games. No, You have to talk about it. You know you you have to keep your goals. In mine and you have to be able to look at them discuss. Um and you know, being intentional on how we're going to get there, and it's one game of the time. You know, you can't look ahead the most important game Is the game on the schedule, but they're smart. They understand what the seedings look like and what we need to do. Um, but you know tonight it's Maura. Let's come in and be the best Kentucky team that we can be. Against South Carolina in the first meeting Coach Your team had a great chance to win. That game came up just a couple of points short. What do the Wildcats need to do better this time around to close out and when the game was South Carolina? One ill sensibly. You know, we left a lot of points on the board with, um, layup, focus and getting our feet in the paint pushing the ball in transition. We held onto it too long. We gonna have some open shots. But defensively, locking in our transition defense, getting the ball stopped. Everyone springing ahead of the ball, and we just have to find a way to protect the pain and we've talked about it. Game after game after game continuing to be committed to finding a body and finisher are decent with a box out. But Back to the offensive end when we have shared the ball. Um we've been very effectively offensively and finally, coach when you Mention the way South Carolina they push the ball in transition. They pounded inside, They score ton of paint points. This is really a game where you have to be mentally and physically prepared for a physical match up, isn't it? Absolutely South Carolina, one of the best teams in the country, and for recent They have a lot of talented players, starting with Boston on the inside. I mean, There's not many people that can guard her one on one in the country, you know, so we're gonna have to be committed to pushing her out being physical, bringing the double to her and Saxon and am here but doing a better job in this game of playing personnel, decent Coach. Thanks so much for the time. Let's go get a win today. Thank you. Go cat go cats that, said Coach Carr, a LZ back with starting lineups in just a moment on the UK sports Network. College Basketball is back on Sirius XM on SEC Radio. There's live coverage for every college basketball team in the conference, including Live games plus 24.

"The 40. Niners will start quarterback CJ Beth third Saturday at Arizona Update three point lead for the Clippers about seven minutes to go. Third quarter back to Jason Smith. Thanks, Yvonne Steve, But you know, I was trying to use the transitive property is you were using talking about Gonzaga, and I think I found a way to use that and say, Well, you know, the Jets beat the Rams and the Ram's loss of the radar. I found a way to get the Jets better than the Chiefs. I found a way to use transitive property is to link all those dishes like the six degrees of Kevin Bacon. Yes, exit. Exactly. I found a way to get that. All done. OK s O. I need to take notes first. No, no, no, no, no, no, it's not. It's just the same way, you know. Look, the Jets beat the Rams. The Rams lost the Falcons. The fact that I could get you to the Jets are better than the chief is an open book test. Yes, It's not like I could do it in one step. This is like it takes like 15 steps to do it. So it's It's not like, Oh, it's simple is all boy you know, using this team is That mister has no no, I got it like sports fan and me is saying, frankly, I'd like to hear how you could do this, so feel free. All right. Well, you tell you what, we got some big NFL coming up in about 10 minutes because we're gonna have to get to a story of a quarterback who was apologizing for not wearing a mask in a strip club. Yes. It's that kind of night tonight where we have to spend time on that story, but I mentioned a few minutes ago. Look, we're talking about the big teams and previews for them this year in the MBA, and we've gone through a lot of the big teams. All the teams are playing tonight and I mentioned you know the Knicks and what kind of season It's going to be for them, and I will tell you this. This is how the Knicks season is going to go. I am excited because basic losing for the Knicks, I think is over. Tom Thibodeau is the absolute right coach for this team, and how I see this season going is this They will lose a lot early. They'll lose a lot early because Davidow has to figure things out. And the Knicks are young and they're still gonna lose a ton. But They're not going to lose games where it's 36 15 after the first quarter, and they wind up losing by 25 the one thing seeing them in the preseason. They've all bought into him defensively, his defensive rotations and they play really well defensive side of the ball, right. I know his preseason, but nobody got 200 points and and seeing the team by into Fido's philosophy is great. So they're going to play a lot of close games. They'll lose them because they're not as talented but they'll play a lot of close game. What about the length they drafted with Obi Topping? Two? Yeah. Look, it Z. They're going to really, really surprise people how well they played defensively. But scorers, they're so young. They're going to get to about the 50 to 55th game of the season mark and suddenly they'll start beating really good teams. And they'll do it sort of regularly, and there'll be a story where you know the last month of the season, the Knicks had the fourth best record in the MBA. Because by then two or three of the young stars are going to reveal themselves. Now who is it going to be? I mean, look timid. Don't need need some time. It could be Kevin Knox. Could be Emmanuel quickly. Could be Obi top and quickly. The rookie that showed up in the preseason games. He's been great. They give him the job. Well, while you're that good, we're gonna give you the job s so one of you know, a couple of those guys are gonna break through and show that we're gonna be cornered. Stones for the next moving on. Maybe it's Mitchell Robinson. Look, They have a lot of young talent that they need to to kind of usher along a bit. And Thibodeau is the right guy to do that. By the time we get to like game 50 55, they'll start playing really well. They'll beat some really good teams, and at the end of the year, it will seem like boy. It sucks at the end of the year is here. Then there's no playoff because I really want to see the next continue to play because they were playing really, really well, and now they're going to go into the next season. After this thinking, Hey, we're thinking playoffs. We're thinking now we're on the way up and did it was going to get coach of the year votes. That's how it's going to go for the next to lose early. The lose a lot, but they'll lose close. And then when you get to the last 15 20 games, the schedule You're going to see things start to click your players like Barrett or knocks. Like I said, I don't know who's gonna wind up falling out of favor or being favorites. A big long rotation with the next but they'll get two or three guys that clearly every night they're gonna count on. You're going to say these are the guys know the basic losing has stopped. That's the season for the next I could see them actually putting something together to be competitive for the exact reason you mentioned because and I looked it up. There are nine guys listed that our first or second year players, so it reminds me of Calipari Kentucky team. Right where they're disorganized. They might be highly ranked and lose early, but usually he gets them to play well. By the time February and March comes around. However, when you're talking the Knicks I can't imagine the raw Stover roster turnover of the last eight years because it's been eight years since they made the playoffs since they had a team even finished at 500. Is this the team? This central roster that's going to go into next year and say all 500, not even a consideration. We can contend where we're thinking. We're in the top eight. No problem in the East next year. Do you think this year will be that kind of You know, stepping stone? Oh, yeah, They're going to play that. That's how it's going to go and they're going to realize that they've hit rock bottom, and now they're on the way up and and it's going to be this many full of optimism. It's going to be a different kind of vibe with the team. It's going to be a different kind of of way they develop because, like I said, people just don't understand how good a coach Tom Thibodeau is, and I get that he grates on teams. And and he doesn't get along with all the superstars. But I'll worry about that year five after the Knicks, sir in the second round of the playoffs for a couple of times, and they can't break through. I'll worry about that one person. I'll worry about that, but that's what he does. He's going to make this team into a team that competes right away and starts winning games later on in the season, and then you're gonna be thinking of next year. Hey, the Knicks are gonna take that step. And they're gonna be a playoff team easy, not a team that maybe they can. Squeak into the eighth spot. It's going to be this should be a team that finishes like sixth in the Eastern Conference next year. I mean, I feel good about the next for the first time in a long time going into this and keep in mind. Tom Thibodeau had been an NBA coach assistant coach for almost 20 years by the time Any of us as regular MBA fans, really, the name stuck,.

"Friends from Pearl Jam taping this Sunday afternoon. We don't need to take this on Sunday night anymore. Because there's no sports it's all it's all vintage sports. I've actually been preparing for this moment. My whole life. Old Games ran. Russillo is here as he is every Sunday. This was the part of the schedule. And we'll be talking about March madness thoughts where the last couple of weeks of the NBA would were going. Would-be worried about Mvp conversations and things like that. Now now I wanNA talk about The later shot. 'cause I watched that with my son yesterday. He had never seen he didn't know is going to happen. He was amazed. I got to relive it. Threw Him Russillo. Yeah that was Was An all time. I mean that that seriously in the moment you're like this is a kind of game that I'm going to think about the rest of my life. I mean not every day Certainly but late nurses dominance is a college player and then seeing younger people watch that game now and not like Lakers mom and you go. You guys have no idea you have you have no you think you know but you don't you know what I what struck me watching that game. I thought Leitner was going to be a really incredible pro because he was so good in college. But then you watch him and you think about the translate him as I go. He's got slow feet was really hard for him to like. Put The ball down. Every shot was almost like a miracle shot by hamlet on balance. Fling shots These turnaround fifteen footers. I think nowadays he would have been an awesome stretch five. I think he would have been shooting eight threes. A game in everything he did would have been different but I am. I was mad at myself. Twenty eight years ago that I thought later was going to be such good proud. Who else knew who knows what else happened. When we went to the wrong team. He had some personal issues etc. You know what the great lesson about Labor is is that he was. You'll know better than I want to get anything where I get this. Kinda thing wrong. But was he one of the first guys like tested positive for. We'd like in that era. Right or was rumored or something. There is always always rumors. He talked about that thirty for thirty. We did that. You know he definitely Off The court might have had a couple issues but a everything. I love watching these games and just getting upset about some of the issues are making 'cause like Grant Hill. Just first of all. He was a soft mark coming off the bench which seemed inconceivable but It seemed like he could have gone by anybody. He wanted to Kentucky team at all times and yet they're like all right spread out for Hurley. This is much better option. Hurley's got this. Maybe she go to grant hale the guy who guy who's going to be a first team all NBA guy in five years. Yeah later was suspended. Some Games there. I Don history but I just wanted to double check it because I remember later on and that was you know when I started talking to guys in front offices in I would be leading up to the draft and I was like you know. How can you figure some of the stuff out because what you learn is that no one really figures it out? But when you're outside of the world you think everybody has this magic. Is that that none of us can understand? It's really not that and something to gm told me that was really really smart and again it was the very beginning of me talking to these guys when we were talking about backgrounds personalities and try to figure things out and he goes look he was plenty of guys that are from terrible areas. Have a terrible family set up and have bad guys around left and right. And they're the best teammates they practice hard. They care they never get any trouble and then you look at somebody like Leitner. Who's like the poster boy? He's one of the best college basketball players in history. Not just guys that we saw was that dominant. He was incredible. And it's like here. He is Duke. Looks like he's a gap model and the whole deal and it was like well. Yeah you know now no one cares about any of this stuff but I just always thought that was really really interesting to kind of talk about lake nurse transition to the pros because he was. It's hard to imagine. He wasn't better because he still was a decent player like he still had a decent career but he was at all incredibly dominating at Duke You thought there's there's no way this isn't going to be a special pro. Plus we had familiarity with them. Because we're able to you know. Watch him and watch that Duke team evolve and even like they were shown Cherokee parks on the bench and acid. Like I remember. They recruited him. He was like the number one guy in deal he was going to be. It was going to go from ferry to Leitner to Cherokee parks. And you know you watch him on the bench and guys like Thomas Thomas Hale who added thought of in forever you know we just watched all those games back then and and something changed with College. Probably Fifteen sixteen years ago when you know. Maybe they will. Maybe it was less time. I know everybody's talked about all the possible reasons for it but it just met more back then like I remember where I watched that game and who I was with. You know an and there's been Great College Basketball Games especially this year late. They were shown. Today they're shown Carolina Villanova two thousand sixteen. That was an awesome game. That was really fun. But it. There was a weightiness to especially that ninety two seasons. Because you had the The fab five and It just every I remember everything about that seasons it was fun to relive it. I thought. Cps did a good job the way they showed it see. It felt like a real game. They didn't try to cut ahead. They would go to commercial and they would only show one ad so they could go right back so it stayed in the flow. But they didn't try to edit it. They didn't cut free throws so it kind of felt like being a time machine right. Yeah that when I've gone back in watch the NBA stuff You sit there and like the thing that jumps out especially working on the side of it now like I would. They're all these things that I would never think about is just a kid home watching these games and now that you work in it not that you and I have extensive background calling games but you just you look at it so differently You know when you mentioned the college basketball thing though it is. It's a simple answer. You can't have a brand where you're changing the brand every single time like. Imagine if you had this hit. Tv show with all these characters that people invested in and he said. Oh by the way we're never bringing these characters back for season two where he's GonNa bring all new characters and it just. It's hard it's really simple answer. But the turnover. Who used to get weird when guys would leave after their sophomore years but like what like what that. Guy. I think. He's doing now granted. It's wrong I think I should be able to go straight out of high school but there's just you know we like things to be easy as fans and really as consumers in any story like really it's how do you get people to jump into the next part of the story and college. Hoops like how many people can name. Who's on Baylor? You know for the season started. I stopped everything to watch Baylor. Kansas and it was a really fun game. This year was like nine. Am Tip out here. But I know that those kind of Duke Games or that Saint. John's Georgetown stuff for Sarah to that big Monday like I would watch that instead of the NBA growing up and now. It's absurd to think I would ever do that. I saw. I noticed watching that thinking about that team and even Kentucky and they were talking about how they were on probation for two years and the guys stuck around. Patino saying they really have anywhere else to go the other. Yeah they had all these seniors that were there but one of the things. I loved about college back then. Was it married high school in the sense I. The new guy shows up. And he's the freshman. He's gotTA prove himself. But then you got the older kids that have been there for a while and you know. The Duke was like the perfect example of. They're they're really like a high school team. Cherokee parks was the young freshman. Grant Hill was a sophomore. Who is going to take it over when Leitner leaves and and that dynamic that just eventually was gone. You Watch that game and you're thinking Mashburn Ingrain. Hiller are sophomores Mashburn. Just unbelievable there. Eight hundred twenty eight ten just looks like a classic stretch for now he he would have been I think a multiple our NBA Guy. There's no reason he should've even stayed at Kentucky for two years he should have gotten into the NBA as fast as you possibly could. We didn't realize that back then. Yeah I got to know Mashburn when he was at he. Spn One of my favorite living in Bristol stories. Is he and I go into Walmart to buy an extra controller and I didn't know it was going to pay for it because I didn't want to assume anything and I was like. Yeah 'cause I had the playstations hooked up in my hotel room and we were just bored out of their minds so it's me Jamal Mashburn at Walmart and I asked him about that team. And I always when asked about different coaches that these guys played for. I was always really interested. In which coaches told you to stay or told you to go because they're guys that are really selfish about it but then there's other ways you know now it's it's out of control like no one. Stang but back then I was like well. What would say to you he goes? I'm not letting you come back. You're too good like you're too good. You have to get out of here and I know you know Ripa Tinos. Rep's is taking pretty big hits over the last couple of years but that was something that I was always really impressed with that. He just looked at like I was like. Did you want us? He's Kinda wanted to stay because mashes whole thing was like. He's a New York City guy and his mother wouldn't let him go to a school in New York City. He was telling me about some of the recruiting stuff like Saint. John's back then still would've thought they were getting Jamal Mashburn. And he's like my mother was like you're not you're not playing ball in the city. And then he goes on a Kentucky after Kentucky went through that that brutal stretch. And you know that's that's the game if you're thinking of one loss that you've had in your Phantom Bill. I'm trying to think maybe it's two thousand. Ten Celtics Lakers the one. That's things the most I don't know if it's game six eighty six in the mets. But that doesn't feel as bad since they've won four titles but if you're a Kentucky fan like that's the kind of that stuff comes up every day it's like Bucky Dent in the eighties for Red Sox fan just sitting at a bar. Mfn Bucky Dent on because later shot. Well the Kentucky did end up winning. I think it's probably worse for Mashburn Jerk Kentucky Fan. You had to tidal teams later in the decade. Because like Ben and I were watching. We went right from yesterday. We were watching that Kentucky game and then the Major League Baseball Network were showing the playoff game in seventy eight Yankees Red Sox and we watched the last like probably two and a half innings and I was explaining to him how the playoffs worked back. Then it was a gay. You played the whole season. It was two division champs in each league. They tied so we had to have a playoff game. And he was like Whoa. How did they decide? Who had it as like? I don't remember. I just remember like everybody from Boston to stay home that day. And we're watching it. He had no idea it was going to happen. And a living through the the remmy hits that shot to Pinella. Panella can't see any just jabs his jabs his mid out. I'm getting mad at George Scott all over again. I think he was my least favorite. Red Sox player just swing for the fences. Every time never never touched a ball early on that he was early. It was at the head of it. Yeah Jangle That was such an agonizing loss and they've won four world series since and it still really hurts Agata Sad. I don't feel any better from it. Yeah I I grew up hearing about it because you know that's where our our gap comes into play. Were still too young to but it was one of the first things like eighty two as my first sox game against brewers and I I just remember like the Bucky Dent thing like it was four years later and people still in them. I remember that we again emceeing. So if the way your brain store stuff early when there's nothing else in there so they allies kids we can always go back and remember anything. Because there's no distractions of real life. But I remember being upset after the fact years later. Just my father telling me that they blew the fourteen game lead and you just go. How is that possible? Like how? How could they have low like how they had the best team? And all these different things and again that stuff used a matter a lot more And Eighty six at all comes up again eight years later so we've seen over the last few days in especially ESPN and then Nba TV and emo but others channels. They're

"Our taxes. I mean, we don't know the votes are there or not? But I mean that could that could make this a doubly bad day. That's for sure Kentucky's not losing to Abilene Christian. So it's not like the Kentucky teams are all going to be out Murray. Plays later today and could very well lose. But Kentucky's not gonna lose tonight. And so it's not gonna be sadness all across the board all across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. But here in Louisville, man. I was a punch in a face today. There's just no two ways. I mean what? Because everyone is naturally wondering why didn't you do more to stop the threes guys run conscious? This crazy. That was. Complete insanity. So. Here. We are at the end of the season. Nobody loves that. It's just tough stuff. That's for sure. Everybody comes home. You know after the first day. It's like, oh, man. It's just there's it just creates all kinds of issues for a lot of folks here because. I mean, most people were planning on a Louisville victory and probably falling to Michigan state in the second game. Michigan state obviously been much better than back when Louisville beat them earlier in the season. But if you just go by the seating seven and ten tight enough on that. But people thought well, Louisville's got this or that or whatever, but you get blinded by loyalty around here, you see these teams you hear about them all the time and much attention to Japan to Minnesota. They were giants. But so that forced Louisville try to prepare for tough inside game and go in there and try to get fouls, and well, then they started throwing up three's. Well, they're not a threes shooting Taylor's three hundred fifty one division one teams and Minnesota ranked in they're like to ninety or seventy is crazy. And so there you go. Anyway, it all blows up a good for Richard Patino who obviously worked on behalf of the Louisville cardinals when he was here and. You know, his team moves forward and was like, well, okay. There you go. Anyway, people on Twitter losing their minds as always most reasonable bowl rational people looking forward to the rest of the tournament. And they just sort of hang tough in there. And you know, your team no one who's a Louisville fan thought they were gonna win a tournament. You knew there was a loss coming sooner or later. I don't think anybody anticipated it today. So that was you know, a hot Cup of coffee in the lap to be sure right out of the gate. There was this a poor poor play. And and is almost like there was suffering from stage fright like, hey, we're in the big show. What's happening, although they didn't play that way in some road games earlier in the season North Carolina, for instance, where they enjoyed the heat and the crowd being against them and so forth. Plenty more on that throughout the course of the afternoon. Some audio from Chris back and Richard Patino, and then yes, PJ Washington is in a hard cash. They don't need him for Abilene, Christian restroom restaurant. You might even be able to arrest him on Sunday. Was that either Seton Hall or Wofford? Yeah. I mean the town on that roster. Nobody's going to be hitting threes away. Minnesota.

"What's in your wallet, Capital One and a? Cried passion, then patterns re of college football leaves Keer. This is the Paul finebaum show. Best of podcast. We say Hello to you on a broadcaster noon. But I don't think I don't think anything will happen. And by the way, Robert Kraft has issued a categorical denial. That was that was not me. Yeah. That was not me that was at the massage..

"I mean, they've got probably even if without him. They've got two of the top five draft. Picks in the NBA draft. But you I if Zion were out you'd obviously get a much better number if you still like Duke, and if you don't think Duke is going to win without Cy on. Then you you obviously don't want to have a ticket, you know, with a really short price on Duke. So I said all along the best thing to do to me the only way to play Duke in the futures with the number that we were getting was to do a mechanical parlay come tournament time. But you know, I I'm not I'm team not Duke to win the championship. I think there's a there's a if I I've heard a lot of these prop bets of would you take Duke? Or would you take some combo of Gonzaga? And if I can get if I can pick three teams or Duke, I'll take those three teams all day, and it'd probably be for me, it'd probably be of Virginia and in Kentucky. But I think that there's there's even some more teams. I think North Carolina proved that they probably are belonging in that discussion. So. I just think that that that number on Duke was too short and one little thing could change it so much and we saw that today. Yeah. And let's talk about that one thing changing. And what Duke look like without Zion. Williamson. I mean, kudos Dr j Barrett and Cam radish they brought their game sixty points between the two more. What else does do Cam? I mean shame on trade Jones at an awful night one out of eleven against the tar heels. And we saw this in with trae Jones going out in the circuits game. This is a Duke team. That's not gonna why as far as bringing a bunch of guys off the bench. They really don't have a bench. Yes, I get it when they get off the bus. Meaning what Duke looks like physically and athletically, they're about as good as starting five as we've seen in college basketball, but nowhere near as deep as let's say the team that they've been price comparable to that's the two thousand fifteen Kentucky team. I I'm a little bit worried about the lack of depth that do cast now with the way the turn of the NC double A tournament's set up. I. You're not gonna have to worry about that until we'll what the Sweet Sixteen elite eight rounds. I mean do could sleep walk through the first couple of rounds. You would have to worry about it. They're playing you know, three day three games in three days when it comes ACC tournament. But if they're not one hundred percent healthy and that goes for any of the three or the four freshmen for Duke. Yeah. I I wouldn't want a ticket. Although I do have some vets. I can't the guys I took Duke because my thinking was a this is a team that's probably sending the freshman early going to get better. But obviously, we saw a huge weakness on the Duke part. I wanna talk a little North Carolina. We mentioned this you, and I when we do that spot also on your radio show in Houston that you host every single day drive time, Houston number four market in the country. What do we make the heels now? I mean that was a good solid win for North Carolina future. Odds changed a little bit today. Sixteen to one now twelve to one for the tar heels. What's the ceiling for this team? Now AJ. I don't know, man. It's what I was saying. It's it's a difficult data point to score. Because I think maybe North Carolina is going to be disrespected with that win. Because anytime you win at Duke, especially, you know, the the number one team in the country normally you'd be celebrated, you know, especially a team like North Carolina. That's already got a pedigree. They're already in the top ten, but because there was no Zion..

"Think they've only covered like forty eight percent of their home games. If you're just blindly betting Kentucky at home in the Calipar era. But when they're laying five points or less or they're in the underdog role at home. They're actually like a sixty two percent team is far as covering the spread. So and that that'll be the case here with Kentucky laying short number and kind of a must. When mode. I know Tennessee's got the experience edge over the Wildcats. But man, that's tough. For me. Seeing this Kentucky team had won ten straight prior to the LSU game. And we're on a seven on one ATS Mark I'm gonna be leaning Kentucky as long as I'm outlaying more than four four and a half points. I think the number of come three, and I'll be on Kentucky in that one. I always at team that was in the top sixteen in that committee revealed their fourteenth on the odds for now little better than fifty to one in the fifty to one range they play Kansas state this weekend who sixteenth at least over at five times it sixty two one. That's an interesting little game there in Manhattan on Saturday. It is. And you talk about you know, I have a future stick it. Then I bet I bet Kansas state sixty one I think you could have the best team in the big twelve by far in Kansas state. Not being priced like Kansas state continues to play like they have been h straight wins and covers twelve play. I think it's not on likely that the Kansas state doesn't get like a two seat, and they get a two seed that was a team that went to the lead eight last year return their top seven players from that team that went to the lead eight and best team in a pretty balanced conference. Big twelve I think that that could get a two CD. Of course, I take sixty to one obviously, it's all always gonna depend on the bracket. But I think Kansas state's been messed priced and why gene wait there center. Six games. Kansas state struggle. There are struggling to begin with. But since his return again in big twelve play eight straight wins and covers in conference play and their last couple of games have been very impressive. I mean. And finally breakthrough and beat their rival Kansas. Go on the road to be a Baylor team that was hot on Baylor a little short handed, and then I think in another trap game Texas on the road. Kansas state got the winning cover their outright. I think the lines gonna come shorter than than what a lot of people think I think it'll be right around three two and a half three points. Kansas state being favored, and I'm gonna lay it with the Wildcats. That's one team. I really isolated made some money with the in the last, you know, two three weeks. So I think Kansas state's one the more hundred teams in the country. And if there's one weakness I love him palm used camp. I'm all the time the market used as ten palm. Religiously. But there's one weakness. Kemp palm his power ratings are full season, they encompass the full season, and they don't always properly account for teams that had injury as shoes. And right now Kansas state being number twenty five I think they're underrated. And number twenty five I think right now. I can make a case in the last couple of weeks. Kansas state is playing a top ten team value on the Wildcats in the futures market and up coming on Saturday. One other game to look at on Saturday also tie this one into the futures market a little bit Maryland. And Michigan this very early noon. Zip off up there in Ann Arbor. Michigan's in the twelve and a half to one range with national championship Maryland despite being top twenty five team here, and they will even with the lawsuit against Michigan likely move up after beating Purdue when the rankings come out again next week they're hundred to one out there in the market..

"But you know, this is this is a Kentucky team had been playing some tremendous basketball. Very good defensively. They weren't as good defensively last night as they happen at one point one two points for possession for LSU. And I think you could say that less you played well enough to win that game regardless of the call. It will say, you know, obviously, if you're Kentucky fan, and if I was Kentucky fan I'd be upset the way the game ended. I don't blame them for that. You know? But at the same time LSU was right there the whole time they were up to foul. They're wondering one Kentucky hit supposed shots. And then that's how it ends. I I hated that. It ends that way. Just a college basket. Ball fan. Like, you said, it doesn't really make sense. What you can you can't, you know, they'll probably end up changing this when I heard Calipari say that last night, they'll probably end up changing this one at one point now, but it's not gonna help Kentucky for this game. At the same time. You know, Kentucky had been winning a few games in a row here. Quite a few close games. They had that close win at all burn close win at Mississippi State where they almost blew eat. Maybe this is good for them. Maybe it's a little bit of a wake-up call. We're gonna find out what they're made of this coming weekend against Tennessee Tennessee's been playing very well on on LSU side, you know, can LSU keep that kind of momentum and keep playing with that same fire that they had last night. I mean, they they needed overtime to beat Missouri at Missouri. Just few games ago. They've had three overtime wins here in the last what ten twelve games LSU has been winning a lot of close games. Here you could say that, you know, they do for some regression or you could say that they're good at pulling out a close win, but LSU place Tennessee at home, also next Saturday. So they've got some interesting games coming up as well. They still have to play Florida twice. Florida's definitely not what they should be. But interesting games there. I wanna see LSU can continue that kind of basketball that they played last night because LSU certainly very talented team. And they're kind of putting it together better than I thought they would this season. Well, and that was gonna be my, you know, three part question here is was that just a quintessential look ahead. Spot for Kentucky or their flaws about Kentucky or is LS. You just a pretty good team. Well, I think LLC's a pretty good team. I think Kentucky still has some question marks on offense. So if you want Kentucky run offense, they can get bogged down sometimes really good offense of rebounding team. But if the other team is getting a decent amount of defensive rebound. They could be in trouble last night. They got fifteen often rebounds and still struggle remain on that well one point zero nine points per possession, pretty solid, but if you don't get fifteen offense of rebounds, it it'd be hard to score two months only get to seventy one as it is. So I think they're conservative on the offense event. I'm not concerned about Kentucky on defense. Very solid defense quite himself blockers down. There this Kentucky team just needs to be better at running the half court offense. And and we'll see if they can do that. I think this weekend's going to be a great test for that. All right. So we go from a couple of marquee games last night to talking about one of the lowest of the low majors that we can talk about. And these are really the last ones that we haven't gotten to yet leagues. Like, the big south the mea the swag and the Southland we'll try to cover those on some of our upcoming segments are believer during the big south on Friday. So you can definitely look forward to that. But these are conferences that you know, weren't traditionally lined in the regular season up until this year. So we get the conference tournament time, and we'd all sort of be scrambling to figure out what these seems have actually done what their resumes, look like. But this year the slack has been ranked on earth has been lined excuse me on a regular basis..
The Race For Zion Williamson Is Intensifying
"Let's start with was UC and Zion. Williamson has been the talk of the season even before it began. What do you make out of him and coach he's team as far as perhaps another title? Well, I think free Jones by the way is you know, has exceeded expectations as highly touted as was I'm not gonna say better than his brother. But his brother had when cooked next when they won the title and fifteen and and traders and have someone like that. And we saw when he went out against Syracuse. How they were hurt at that position. Even though RJ Barrett place on the bit. So so so much is on his shoulders he's handled it and now, you know, no, injuries shoulders back. And this team is to me a little reminiscent of the Kentucky team that won it with freshmen in twelve where they had Anthony Davis. They've got Williamson they've got they had Michael to Gilchrist bay of our Barrett. So there are parallels where you could see one to in the draft with do just like we saw one to that team. So there's a chance that you know, that all that could play out very. Comparable. My concern would be you know, will they get that other sort of lead guard play if tree Jones Foulsham, let's he got hurt or what that's the one. Achilles heel is their bench on the perimeter going forward.

"Kentucky team that's known for its ability to get to the charity stripe. They've only been there five times. And the cardinals have been there. Ted and their team that not only can they get there. But they're hitting seventy seven percent of their charity. Stripe opportunities on the year last trip down the floor four at that chicken wing. It just pushed off and got away with it. In what five minutes ago Kentucky gets maybe ten minutes ago Kentucky gets to calls in about three sequences for pushing. All offense of fouls. Wonder where the stripe was that's a good question. Kentucky has shot more free throws than its opponents in every game. So streaks in jeopardy. As Louisville goes to the line here in the person of four grad transfer from the university of Richmond. "You're ranking teams right now where would you have Kentucky, losing quality green matters parish. I believe that he was a even though his ministered been cut. I think over the course of a season specifically with this Kentucky team quasi greens presence would have made an impact he was shooting. Forty two point three percent from three point range on just twenty six three pointers. But that was still second most on the team and Kentucky's issues from three point range Bill shooting in defending our significant. In fact, I have that in Wednesday's court report if you wanna go look at it. They've never been this bad defensively under Cal from three point range offensively. They are worse than they were last season when they were notoriously bad, and quasi was at least helping that to a certain extent. But it's just for one reason or another this was not a situation that he was satisfied with. He's a fine player. I felt he was a little bit overrated coming out of high school, and that's the something against him. It's just where he happened to land in the rankings. I didn't think he was quite at that level. And he actually had some good moments as a freshman last season. I thought he would wind up being like a top three top four player of importance like I was damn near convinced at parish. It just wasn't. It wasn't meant to be. And you know, Cal is no dummy, and he was able to get out ahead of this. And I would say like this quad is the first player to transfer to Kentucky cows had a number of them. Just like so many other coaches, but this was not a messy divorce whatsoever. And you know, that kind of thing obviously will benefit both parties as they as they split going forward as for your question where Kentucky would rank right now. I mean, definitely way behind Tennessee. And Auburn who I think are two of the ten best teams in the country at this point. From there. I wanna say third, but I can't I would say Mississippi State has been better to this point than Kentucky. And elsewhere. That's probably where the guy to land looking at the standings right now better than Florida. I would say Kentucky is still better than Florida. Even Florida's got some interesting things about it better than LSU. I think loyal she lost a loss one. It should not have lost that Houston. And then, you know, Arkansas vandy Bama, I still think Kentucky's there. So I'd say firmly fourth which is blow what Kentucky fans thought it would be or or what it should be. And let's check in six weeks from now see if that's still the case. But I I will say this parish like even if it takes Kentucky little along to get things. Right. Even if they lose when we watch him at the CBS sports classic in Chicago. If we check in mid-january and Kentucky's worse than fourth in the SEC. I would be fairly surprised. I'm not seeing how this team's talent Alaska to drop that far. In addition to that, just the talent should at some point allow them to be something close to what they were supposed to be to be outside of the top four in the SEC. That means that four teams follow me. Here gotta be better than you. And I like, I don't know that four teams are better than Kentucky. Even right now. When Kentucky's not very good right now because the league has been and I was high on this lead in the preseason. And it looks like I'm gonna be wrong about it. Tennissee in Auburn terrific, Mississippi State rock-solid, but Florida disappointing LSU disappointing. And then what else matters in the league outside of Kentucky. I don't think the league is nearly as good certainly it hasn't been nearly as good through December fourteenth as we thought. Or at least I thought it was going to be. Yeah. I agree. We haven't really spent too much time talking about the league on the whole. You know, I. It's it's it's kind of bizarre to be honest parish. When you look at the talent and the coaching in the SEC. You know, it's been great at Auburn and Tennessee had been so good. And they have been really really good. Don't get it wrong. They've been great. Maybe they'll wind up carrying the banner for for the league over all this season..

"Couple of weeks where if a team is a team has got five wins if they're getting beaten, but they have a winnable game next week. They're going to run the football. They're gonna get the hell out of there. They're gonna try not to get anybody hurt. There will be live betting opportunities here in week twelve and and maybe even weeks thirteen for some of the teams playing conference championship games or something like that. So I may look to play Ohio live in the second half. And it'll be one of those things where a high Okura end up blowing this game out if they have a halftime lead. And everyone's going to say what's wrong with buffalo? Well, it's going to be because they were just kind of packing it in for the following week. So definitely take some of those things with a grain of salt here. If we do get some of those outcomes in the second half week twelve Florida Atlantic and North Texas game three thirteen three fourteen Thursday night wanted to touch on this one here, North Texas opened a two and a half point favorite there. Now at three point favorite. I have some takes on this game. Okay. I'm getting your take on this one. You know, North Texas was up. I think twenty eight to nothing against Old Dominion not box scores. A believe is twenty eight to nothing and then Old Dominion comes back and win. So they really blew that game. In a big way. I think that people are probably assuming this is a bounce back spot for them. After after something like that the thing for me that I'm not really sure how to value this this morning Atlantic switching quarterbacks in and out. I thought the Andre Johnson was just going to be the the the quarterback for them. And then they were switching back and forth with him and Robinson last weekend. Really? They didn't play that well against western Kentucky. Florida Atlantic played their best game. They're gets Ford international a couple of weeks ago. And then they I think they were, you know, mediocre death against the western Kentucky team. That's kinda showed it down for the season. So, you know, Nathan find the best player here at quarterback. You know, commend us North Texas. Fortieth in yards per play on offense, Florida Atlantic forty third. So these are similar offenses North Texas defense has been quite a bit better than than Florida Atlantic throughout the courts in season. Having said that shrink the schedule is a pretty big difference in Florida Atlantic play the tougher schedule also turnover margin, North, Texas, plus a Florida Atlantic mine and seven so that has a lot to do with why they're in the spot as well. Yeah..

"But they've been playing hard each and every game. It seems like there is real growth. They're moving forward. Jerry Goren tunnels been pretty good the last couple of weeks now. Yeah. And you know, defensively they've got studs. Like Daryl Taylor who had four sacks in this game against Kentucky. So all do credit to what Pruitt is doing in year one in Knoxville. And then on the flip side just quickly word about Kentucky does feel like they're wearing down a little bit here. Yes defense was not quite as sharp in this one. Benny Snell held mostly in check that we had like eighty something yards on the ground twenty four to seven and nice win for Tennessee over Kentucky team. It's been pretty good this season. It feels like it might be the bottom falling out a little bit. After the Georgia game. Everything was so hyped for Kentucky going into that George game. And what what could they do compete out of the SEC east and just it's tough. It's tough to to get into November and keep that high level of play when you aren't necessarily the deepest or most talented team, especially on offense, Florida, thirty five South Carolina, thirty one South Carolina was up seventeen points late in the third quarter seemingly destined to hold up that legendary must champ bowl trophy, Dan. They had it was within reach. But then Philippe pay Franks head other plans. He had other is Dan he threw for a touchdown at the end of the third quarter to get a little bit closer we dove across the goal line with four minutes left in the game to give Florida the lead and the win a heartbreaker here for the Gamecocks. They've now played in five straight games decided by four points. Or less over that stretch. They've gone three and two. But what can you say about Florida here to come from behind the way that they did Philippe bay Franks emotional kid playing his heart out out there? He did a good job. When it counted. I thought Florida continued to show growth on offense, especially on the ground with Jordan's Marlet. It'll Michael p Rhine they both go over one hundred they add to three hundred sixty seven team yards on the ground for the Gators Florida's now in a spot where they're seven and three they close out with Idaho. And Florida state both of which should translate to wins a nine and three season going to presumably a pretty good ball game is a hell of a first act for Dan Mullen. Yeah, their schedule is pretty ideal for first year coach chart trying to alter some some previous offensive woes. Thoughtfully by Franks was good both through the air and on the ground that throat a Cadarache Tony throw and catch were great. I appreciate the patience from Florida. You mentioned scarlet P Ryan growing. But it was the patients to trust them as they were succeeding with the offensive line on the ground to come back in this game to whether some some pretty porous defence early on. And to win this game, by the way, South Carolina their past. I don't even know how many games so since the Missouri game in the I think that was like gross weather, South Carolina wins that by two loses to am by three beats Tennessee by three beats ole miss by four loses to Florida by four. Yeah. So if you're looking for random entertainment, find will must champ and South Carolina because they are a wire team right now. Sometimes they're on sometimes they're off moving on LSU twenty four Arkansas seventeen. I don't think the final score here is indicative of this game. Even though Arkansas did come back. They tried to come back. Yeah. At the very end with two touchdown passes from ties story LSU was actually up twenty four to three in the. Quarter before that charge. Also, a really tough beat here. If you had LSU minus thirteen I don't know if you saw this at the end of the game. Yeah, they they took Nick process took two knees. He took essentially to knees yelling intentionally short of the goal line with LSU up seven to keep that clock running. And only win by seven which didn't cover that point spread even though..

When I was lamenting watching the Knicks lose in double overtime after seeing Zion. Williamson and RJ Barrett yesterday. I don't want the Knicks to win another game. I think it would be best if the Knicks just lose from here on out, you gotta get cancer Arctic here. He's trying way too hard. You can't have twenty four and twenty or twenty three and twenty six whatever he had the other night twenty s twenty s it's not gonna work and know, I was wrong about his own. Yeah. I get 'em out. We need to keep them in here. He's got to wait forty minutes in and eat a lot of his own. Yeah. Because these guys from this Duke team looks so unbelievable. I don't want to overreact to just one game. But this is obviously been a while in the making R J Barry Zaid Williamson we've been hearing about them for a long time. And I I'm actually looking forward is. I think this is going to really help college basketball this year, the fact that it's Duke there. So polarizing the fact that this team looked so good. This is like the Kentucky team from a couple of years ago with Karl Anthony towns and those guys, but like a cranked up to like level ten they look like the Golden State Warriors and how they move and transition they can shoot. This is amazing. And I just hope that the Knicks fortunes and the draft change a little bit. And if they could lock down one of these guys, I think you could really turn things around for them. I think that's what surprised me the most Zion. The fact that he can shoot because we've we've been hearing about a hill for the last couple of years, and all we seen was highlight tapes of three sixties, these amazing dunks and warm ups and all that stuff. He's built like a tank. I mean, this guy he's like evolution. Yeah. I don't know. I'm excited to watch it, man. That'd be so great. And you talked by being able to sell something like that in New York. Well, listen, I mean, if you're if you're going to be in on a big time free agent, and you could possibly have a shot. I mean, I know everyone a league's it'd be drooling over these guys. But I mean, the Knicks are gonna do for some good draft. Let's let's just be careful here. I mean, there's no need to rush. Kevin Knox back. Five minutes the other night. Let's play him finding a little Mitchell Robinson Mitchell. Rob. I know I got to know what he is. Let's find out what the situation is Lance Thomas. Well. Dose of that a lot of Damian. Absolutely. There is no need whatsoever. It's not rush. Porzingas back talking. Not exactly. You should let them back in the country. He's in the country already should send them hall. Just go ahead. Tori, seriously? You're right. Be gay. It doesn't matter. It's double overtime triple overtime. They lose whatever. My thoughts on this totally changed. I should have had it at front of mine yesterday. The object is to lose games this year. What else here's here's the other thing. Message should be defense overrated. David Fidel really did have the most genius marketing campaign for a losing team ever when he said success makes you soft. How did he come up with that? That was really it's like off every team that's off the locker room. Team that's ever been terrible should just adopt. That mantra what do you got? Well, for me, if you got to be paying attention to the tea leaves and Dez Bryant got signed yesterday, you know, he was competing with Brandon marshal Kamar Aitken's, and he got signed by the New Orleans Saints. They were really happy and inspired by what what what they saw when you think about the saints and then going on Lynn. You know, they they went out and brought in Dez because Trey Smith, they're young talented player. He's unproven you need somebody that once they take away. Michael Thomas in the playoffs that can get you some tough yards dad's loss of staff. He doesn't really separate as much, but you know, he can be that anquan Boldin. Type guy reliable pair hands somebody that can get you some yardage and right now when you look at what the saints were able to do against the Rams who we thought was the best team in the league. You got to be inspired. And they're going all land. You got to say, you know, what that's great. You know, they're gone all in. They're the best team right now. And he just got a little bit better with Dez Bryant levian bell. A couple of things number one. He's apparently working out at a fitness center somewhere near somewhere near Pittsburgh. Number two, apparently. Patchy. He should've took the water pills, man. But there's apparently some claws now or something that they have found in the contract that says in essence, he does not have to play this year to be a free agent again at the end of this at the end of this upcoming season and be out there on the market, the franchise, tag, the second one would actually count even if he doesn't. Yeah. Development for bell third year on the franchise tag, be twenty five million or something ridiculous. They're not to do that. But I tell you what he still needs to go get that money at that point. You've already lost eight million dollars. I'm gonna go get that eight million dollars rather still won't be back about this is now have one season with no more no miles on his legs. I mean, he's about to go. If this is true, and he can take advantage of this loophole. I mean, doesn't that make him look attractive to I don't know the New York Jets whoever is going to be in the market for big time free agents. There's a lot of teams that a lot of money to spend. And if he now has one whole season where he doesn't have any any. What are you laughing? Just think I'm thinking of Barton. I've talked about the movie before the great white hype data. About to go.

"Jonathan Ataman, Chris, thanks so much. Joining us, Adam. Thank you. You guys the land of Lincoln tearing it up today in college football world. Yeah. I guess so Illinois with their last one of the season. The Rutgers and northwestern and east Lansing, very, very interesting. Well, we'll ask you this. Because we have a lot of limited games. I think for for the night cap here. But number thirteen Kentucky takes on Texas. Am at Kyle field. How do you see that matchup with an undefeated Kentucky team on the road? Yeah. There's a primetime ESPN, you know, technically intimate obviously, never an easy place to play in UK, you know, about a six point underdog. Yeah. Talk about no respect is the thirteenth team ranked team in the nation. They've covered every game. So far this year. And they've been you know, this is a force SEC game this year, they've won them all straight up and they've been underdog in all three of them. So obviously, you know, they'll they'll come in. They'll come and fired up. They can they can play the no respect once again. You know, the game is probably, you know, UK's quarterback Terry Wilson, he hasn't given opponents reasons to really pay that much attention to them. Here's two touchdowns through five games. He's kind of the kind of day managed his way to win is about to be there for those passes. But when you have any snow to handle all off to you know, you don't really you're not really asked to do that much. You might be more though in this game because AMB is one of the top five teams in the country and stopping the run that includes the games against cleansing and they held him. Both. I think Andrea one hundred twenty yards each. So that'd be that'd be a big key for them. But you can't defense. You don't hear much about them? But they're you know, they pull every opponent. They played the season to twenty or fewer points. So you know, including the three SEC games that's eleven points per game against Florida, Mississippi State and South Carolina's. That'd be a big match ups for them. I see, you know, I think. Is four one against the spread of their last five in the SEC. I I like them to cover your at five and a half to six points. I think they'll give I think they'll give them everything they want Trayvon Williams for enemies only managed. Against you know, I don't know if I wanna say, Alabama and Clinton are comparable to UK in terms of defense. But those are the two best defensively pacing and Williams. Vietnam running back at thirty one yards games. So I think that they hold them to under meal, maybe eighty I think he's got a chance to at least not lose by more than a few. Stop hedging atom come on. Now. Standing at the window with my money. I'm still know what the hell. All the way baby. They're gonna win. They're gonna win straight up. But, you know, just pretty sure take those points, you know, five and a half one seven it's gone down to five and a half. Today are. I think people are starting to jump on the big blue bandwagon as as the game comes up here in our Notre Dame's a seven point favorite on the road. Virginia Tech, Ian book and take advantage of Virginia. Tech defense. That's one hundred yards per attempt through the air loud. Ninetieth in completion percentage against one hundred twenty third in passing yardage allowed per game. Not very good in the secondary. Is what I'm trying to say. How do you see this one out? Yeah. I think you pretty much set in book, you know, since he took over the Notre Dame is averaging five hundred fifty yards a game against pretty decent competition. Now, he'll take on a defense that got torched you know, for six hundred yards to Old Dominion and it's not like Old Dominion. Appalachian state is dangerous. You know, small school that you have to worry about that was Old Dominion. It's only win all year. So you know, they got they got beat by forty something the liberties. So clearly, you Notre Dame should have found something in there. I think I think this'll be a huge day for for a book. And now you add extra Williams last. You know, he finally got to play the last week. He went off on Stanford one hundred sixty yards, you know, book and Williams. That's that's a one two combo. That's going to be tough going down the road. I wonder how much consideration, you know, Bill take into their heads. I mean, this is probably the toughest game left on schedule. You're going to lean stadium at night. Enersen man's bumping. Let's see if they pull this one out. You're looking at probably at USC last game of the year. That might be the next step is. I don't know if you guys would agree you guys. Are you guys are the home of the Irish? But I I like I like order name here. I think you know, I think most people do because this, you know, the oddsmakers open this game two and a half. Point spread. And now, it's six and a half. So that's a that's a massive movie makers they game as to evenly matched teams and the better vehemently, disagrees, basically, and I'm on board with that. I think I think the Irish. Are going to light up the scoreboard. And I think you know, Ryan Lewis is the new quarterback there. He had a good day against Duke. But nortre Dame will bring the heat more than more than so I like Notre Dame big in this one Georgia is five notes at this point in the season against the spread there to two and wine. I don't think any of us think that Vanderbilt can beat Georgia, but can Georgia covered those sprayed of twenty six that. I'm looking at right now. I think so I can't find in Alabama's the best team in the country. Oh, three against the spread, by the way in the last three weeks. But I digress. But Georgia, you know, I I was skeptical on them when they played who was it a few weeks ago where they were on the road is a huge crummy, South Carolina Carolina, and they just beat the tar and it wasn't. It wasn't even close. And I've watched them couple of times since then. And I I, you know, take from just hit eighty percent of his passes about the running game because they had to replace, you know, to NFL caliber talents, and they you know, they're just as good right now. I know. And I've seen Vanderbilt Vanderbilt against name. And you know, if it Brandon wimbush book was in there wouldn't have been close. Probably. So I like Georgia Georgia big tonight. I I think we'll cover. No, no, go ahead. No, no. If we if you we went to sports.

"I the only thing I don't like though is that some of the players came out this week and said that they don't think stopping Benny Snell is going to be a problem. And I hate that because I feel like now he's gonna try to rush for over two hundred yards. But at the same time night game Kyle field, I'm not gonna pick against am here, Kentucky. He's playing very well. I just don't think that they're going to be able to knock off am. I'm gonna take AM in the points, but I absolutely have to give Kentucky respect because they're playing lights out right now. And I'm impressed. Yeah. I mean, I looked at, I think we're getting to that part of the year where Johnny talked about, we're kind of teams know what they are and they're kind of in a rhythm, and I'm looking at what teams have done recently in like this Aggie team. Then I go look at the Kentucky team. They're already five, no big wins at Florida birth, Mississippi State in South Carolina, all of those wins by double digits. I think the average win margin in those games was fifteen points against three really good teams. And most importantly, I look at Kentucky in their defense. I think they're giving up an average of eleven points only game in those three SEC contests. So I think this is going to be a very low scoring grinded out kind of game kit. Kentucky's already won a few of those this year. So I think Kyle field is enough for the axe to squeak one out and win a low scoring close game. But six points is too many. So on the pick some going Kentucky to cover the six. But I think the ads could could pull the win out. It would be a really big win. For both teams, Kentucky points, both both teams as we gave them needs going going into the thick of their schedules have left. I mean, you look at to see west and this is one. They need to win, obviously, team, you know, crossover and planning the east, Johnny. What do you think about telling mind against Arkansas? And like e b mentioned like that game was garbage. Like I just couldn't believe how bad the offense was playing, especially in the second half. So now you've got the good Callen mon- versus the bad kellyn mon- you've seen him play incredible against some of the top teams in the country and then have a game like that against Arkansas defense is ranked like one hundred in the nation. What do you make of what you saw from him? I think those games happen, I think, especially with young guy, some of those games are gonna show up a little bit, and I think what Jim Bo said after the game, you know, he really thought that that was the worst game they played all year. Obviously that showed so some of those games, you know, still new coach still a young team. I think they're still going to be some struggled. So as much as you don't wanna see it against the team like Arkansas, I think it's good to get that one out of the way it'd be able. To go into a big game at home where they played well, they've been comfortable at home. You know, you get telling them onto a rhythm early and you know they could put up some points against Kentucky. I believe. Game in the SEC. At the end of the day, I still think it's Alabama and Georgia, but for a kind of playing for that next best. Definitely a big game in college station, let's say in the SEC LSU Florida. Florida is plus three right now. I believe where we're sitting recording this on Wednesday night LSU number five in the country and Joe boroughs, the biggest thing I'm paying attention to because it's like all of a sudden he's turned into a bit of a playmaker. He was almost a distributor at the beginning of the season that they needed. Now he's making plays. He's getting better every week. I just think this Florida team is they're not bad by any means..

"National championship after michigan finally ends the cinderella story of the men's tournament loyal chicago and on the other side we just kit straight up dominance from villanova over their fellow one seed in kansas and this is what i mean where we try and push greatness away set it all tournament the men's side especially we seem to covet this idea of forget parody just pure underdog underdog is a mainstay it's the only thing we seem to look for more often than not said it when kansas and duke point i felt like i do apologize for loving that game as much as i did and for thinking that was the best version of the tournament that i wanna see and so when michigan dispatched loyola chicago we finally had to get away from that and now we finally have to pay attention to the one team we probably should have all along and that's not to say we didn't pay attention to any of the other great teams along the way as one side of the bracket became decimated we started talks glowingly about kentucky team that was chock full of talent that may have suddenly had a softened path to the championship game we had talked about duke as they got ready to face that said same championship team they've got a star like marvin bagley a villain character like grayson allen and all along the way we got into these teams ignored the one we probably needed to be paying attention to most and that's villanova who has this eerie similarity to everything that we see mimicked at least the way we cover them like the san antonio spurs in the nba championship caliber ballclub i mean hell the stat vow built villanova snuck up on everyone the.
