Defense lawyers sought to convince the judge to block their clients transfer Britain houses. Attorneys argue that the team acted in self defense when he opened fire during unrest following the shooting of a black man by a white Kenosha police officer. Some On The Right See 17-Year-Old Charged With Killing 2 Kenosha Protesters As Hero

"Riton House, the 17 year old charged with killing two protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin, goes before a judge tomorrow for a preliminary hearing. Rittenhouse has become a hero to some on the right. Sean Johnson of Wisconsin public radio reports on those pushing that narrative. After Kenosha police shot Jacob Lake, a black man in the back multiple times. The city erupted into protest on August 25th Kyle Rittenhouse made the 20 mile trip to Kenosha from his home in Antioch, Illinois. Rittenhouse, a lifeguard and a vocal supporter of police said he was there to protect the local business and offer medical help if needed. He walked through the crowds that night with an air 15 rifle strapped to his chest. What happened that night is disputed and will eventually be hashed out in court. But a full scale public relations blitz is underway by some of written houses supporters. A group called the Fightback Foundation released a dramatic video compilation of cellphone footage from the night of the shootings. It claims Riton House fired his gun on Lee after being chased and attacked. Narrator speaks of Rittenhouse being sacrificed by politicians. But it's not Kyle Riton house there after their end game is to strip away the constitutional right of all citizens. To defend our communities, our personal property. Our lives and the lives of our loved ones written houses cause got the attention of conservative media figures. Here's former Florida attorney general Pam Bondi, on Fox News. What's it coming, too? In these liberal cities? When teenagers have to go out there to try to provide aid? The Fightback Foundation says it's raised almost $2 million for Riton House. The group's chairman, is Linwood, a prominent attorney who made a name for himself representing Richard Jewell in the 1996 Olympic bombing case. Longtime Wisconsin defense lawyer Dean Strang, who is not involved in this case, says the teens, attorneys may well argue self defence, but it has nothing to do in the first instance with being the hero. It has everything to do with whether you will be held responsible for killing other people or you want. Kyle Rittenhouse is charged with first degree reckless homicide in the death of 36 year old Joseph Rosenbaum and first degree intentional homicide in the death of 26 year old Anthony Huber. Huber. Surviving partner, Hannah Giddings is among a group of plaintiffs who this week filed a civil lawsuit against Riton House and a Kenosha militia group in a YouTube clip. She talks about Hubert. He did not deserve that. He was a Good human Being. The plaintiffs are also suing Facebook for publicizing the militia groups call to arms. John Pearce has written houses lead attorney. He told the conservative news site Breitbart that his client had a god given right to be in the city that night. But I will tell you There's no doubt about this. That is, every law abiding Americans showed up in the city that they love. There are 15 The chaos would stuff immediately. Aside from the Rittenhouse case, it does appear more people are embracing violence as a solution. In 2020, University of Arizona sociology professor Jennifer Carlson researchers gun politics, She says she's noticed the difference this year. Rather than solving problems at the ballot box, she says. Some are reaching for a box of bullets. People are beginning to really think that we have reached the point of no return with regard to violence and whether we have or not. If people believe that we have that is very troubling. Kyle Rittenhouse is in custody in Lake County, Illinois. Tomorrow's court hearing there will focus on whether he can be extradited to Wisconsin. For

"kenosha police" Discussed on Donkey of the Day

"Iheart or see it in person at your local. Mazda. Dealership. Right now you. It's not. Don't give day. I need to be a dog. Don't get. Hit become donkey. Club bitchy you're doing. Thursday August twenty seventh goal Kenosha Wisconsin. Police chief Daniel McGinnis now going down connotion the Sunday police shooting of Jacob Blake prompted protests throughout the city. If you just come home from jail if you've been out in the country, are you just disconnect from TV and social media because you're trying to stay mentally healthy I understand but you probably missed a young man. named. Jacob. Blake is shot in his back several times by the police in Kenosha on Sunday while he was just trying to get in the car with his kids. Now, of course, during the protests, there were riots someone riots escalated into violence and a seventeen Yo- young man named Kyle House was arrested after shooting three Canosa protested with an ar fifteen to have died. Now watching this video of cower in house and I am confused I feel like I'm only seeing one angle and I don't know if I'm watching Actually, watching video because I feed his kid and he's running and he falls and it looks like a bunch of people jump him, someone hits him with a skateboard and he starts shoot. Now if a bunch of people are running after someone with a are fifteen, then something happened if you don't have a weapon and you are chasing someone with a weapon. Then, you are going pure motion and adrenaline because there's nothing strategic about that. You know your uncle shall always tells you to move off scratchy not emotion. So chasing someone with an ar fifteen and you don't have a weapon, just a skateboard that's pure motion. So clearly something happened that we haven't seen all right now as young seventeen year old white man. After the shooting after killing people wounding one was allowed to walk right past police in Kenosha with his aaagh fifteen and nothing happened he was able to just leave the scene with no problems. Oh, to have white privilege in America is a beautiful thing. White privilege is stronger than starbucks Wifi. Now, as I said, earlier, cow was arrested after killing protesters and wounding one he got arrested the next day. But Man when I tell you folks are coming to this young man defense listened to the chief of police. Daniel miscanthus discussed the cow written situation everybody involved was out after. The curfew, the curfews in place to protect had persons not been out involved in in violation of that. Perhaps the situation that that unfolded would not have happened. So the last night seventeen year old individual from Antioch Illinois was involved in the use of firearms to resolve whatever conflict was in place. The result of it was two people are dead. This is not a police action. This is not the accident I believe that those who sell to do protests it is the persons who were involved after the legal time involved in illegal activity that brought violence to this community. Wow. Daniel. If you gave your son a curfew. and. He broke his curfew and got into a car accident. God. Forbid and broke every bone in his body. Would you go to the hospital and tell him this would have never happened if you hadn't broken his curfew. If you had done and she broke curfew and she was assaulted God forbid would you tell her this would have never happened if she didn't break curfew. America, that is the chief of police in Kenosha. He's in a leadership role. The git telling the community that they need peeved there's no need to bring weapons to protest. You know if you protecting your house your business, you get it. You understand but there's no need to just be out what your weapon looking for conflict. Forget all that. Okay. Get all that. Because they broke curfew. That's why that happened. Now you know and I know that if a black person fighting against injustice fighting against police brutality killed two people. And wounded one Daniel skin is would never blame that on people violating curfew. Okay. Now, Daniel wasn't the only person making excuses for car rittenhouse shooting and killing through protesters Tucker Carlson. Also. Validated what happened? Let's listen. We do know why it all happened though Kenosha has devolved into anarchy because the authorities in charge of the city abandoned it. So we really surprised that looting and arson accelerated to murder. How shocked are we? That seventeen year olds with rifles decided they had to maintain order when no one else would. Wow. Interesting heartaches. Okay. black people in America, your uncle Shala been telling you this. All right. But I, want you to listen and listen to me good when you black in America owning a legal he word legal firearm is a form of self care and send people like Tucker. Carlson feel like authorities abandoning a community. Familiar authorities abandoning abandoning a community if if people like doesn't cost anything that justifies folks bearing arms to maintain order then less flexible constitutional rights. Then if young men like cow going to be out there with their weapons than you need to have your legal firearms as well. Okay. You got we got to and I want Tucker and Daniel Skin is to keep that same. Energy okay. WE NOT VIOLENT THUG ANARCHIST LOOKING TO CAUSE trouble. We are proud to as supporters who believe in the right to keep and bear arms, and it is all right as American people to possess weapons for our own defense. So you know because it's inevitable when it happens, this is going to happen when someone fighting against injustice and police brutality has to take out someone. A against that. Blame it on the people violating curfew please okay Dan you officer Daniel. please. Please blame that on the people violating curfew and Tucker I wanNA hear you say how shocked are we? That black people with rifles decided they had to maintain order in America after years and years of unchecked violence from police officers can we get that same energy when it happens because it's going to happen it's inevitable America. Please give Daniel. Miskin is the chief of police in Kenosha Wisconsin too big a see. Saw Matter, of fact, let Chelsea handler give him a low he well, he he. That is way too much. Dan mayonnaise. All right. Thank. You think we'll ever get that luxury. You think that you know when the shoe was on the other foot because it's going to happen and you think that when when somebody fighting against police brutality and injustice has to defend himself against somebody who's on the other side you think that day a costume we'll say how shocked a we that black people with rifles decided to they had to maintain order no in America. APANTENCO. Carson nope not at all. All right. Well, thank you for that donkey today today is brought to you by the Law Office of Michael Slams off. Trump condemns 'dangerous anti-police rhetoric' in Kenosha visit

"A presidential visit dividing kenosha Wisconsin a city shaken by unrest sparked by the police shooting of Jacob Blake and we're going to help them a lot despite pleas from local officials that he stay away. The president used a visit to a key battleground state to press his hardline law and order campaign message. We have to condemn the dangerous anti police rhetoric. It's getting more and more. It's very unfair. You have. Some bad apples I said yesterday I said it last night. There are under tremendous pressure he's referring to a Fox News interview Monday night where he compared the actions of the Kenosha police officer who fired seven shots into Blake's back to a golfer missing a Putt they shooting the guy in the back many times I've been. Couldn't have done something different but they choke just like in a golf tournament they missed three-foot comparing it to golf because of course, the media I'm saying people just ahead of his visit, the president refused to condemn seventeen year old kyle. He would have been. He probably would have been killed, but it's under it's under investigation. Joe Biden, blasting the president blaming him for stoking violence I think words for president. "And so so there it is right there. So that's that's what I wanted to talk about. So. So I talked about a people in the community making sure there are are listening that they're that they're being deferential to the police following rules in orders. From the police I'm also asking for the police to. A It's difficult for me to say for the police. That they overreacted in this particular situation because I don't think that they did in all honesty now we'll see we'll find out what everything's going on as well as the investigation how that's GonNa to turn out it may turn out that he had a knife in. It may turn out that he had a gun inside the car. We don't know if they ran his name for for guns. And turns out that he may have had registered even though you didn't have an on them. So all this type of thing heightens the situation hey Karen thanks for showing up I. Appreciate it. So just going on about the things that you know the law enforcement are dealing with when we respond to a scene and we don't know. You know all the INS and outs and people start reaching into their pockets wants a cars or if you're in the house, they start reaching into closets and everything like that. That becomes a problem police officers. We cannot allow for people to to take that to take those actions So therefore, that's how we get into the situations that we get into. and so it's as to my stepson's question I hope that answered it that it's he met this officer or group of officers are how many fired we know these one may actually be justified and the actions that they have taken and sometimes to to sweep vs a question of how do we get there black to respect the police and the Your again you know I it really is going to take a calming voice to say that it's a prepare people for, hey, listen to this may not be an exact case of this. and to sweet peas question again.

"And so So the whole situation there is blowing up again, but we can thank the bell family in in the work that Michael Bell has done in getting in making sure that one, the investigation that would have been done. Conducted by the Police Department and the prosecutor there has not been taken out of their hands will be an independent investigating body which will be looking into that. So I think that that is actually I think that that's actually good. It takes law enforcement's hands out of it and so therefore, an investigation can be underway, Dennis thorough complete and totally from the particular. Officers that were on scene. So that is certainly good and in conjunction with that, I'm also going to be releasing an episode of the podcast interview with the Michael Bell, family or Michael, Bell, as well as another guest of mine, a detective who helped work on the case going to be releasing that episodes that can be seen capital hunters podcast on. And cut the hunters podcast the audio version that there is no video of that. So so let's get back into the the the problem one of the biggest problems that I have to the biggest problems I really wanted to dress its first of all as I mentioned before is that we really have to as a community really understand that you have to comply with officers orders right being upset being frustrated. Now, the way in which I've heard different commenters a state is that this particular person who ended up being shot and fortunately he's still alive even though he was shot at least seven times how many times we struck so far I. Actually responded to the scene to break up a domestic argument. we don't know the exact case. Scenario about that. Once again, that information is going to be forthcoming. So. If it is true that you have responded to the to help break up an argument and the police get there and start yelling and barking orders that you comply with them you may be frustrated. Maybe you're one of the good guys. Maybe you're one of the people who is trying to help the situation calm the situation down and the police are coming up to you and asking you to calm down, put your hands in your pockets. Show me your ID where you at you over here do that if you're really trying to help the situation, then help the situation by complying with the officers orders. Getting mad and upset, and once again, we don't know. But this is I'm going off of what? Is Information. That we know preliminarily. If it's true that that this man was there trying to help you you can't get mad and upset and everything like that. You have to wait calm down relax try to talk to so take a deep breath walk away from the situation if you're allowed to because sometimes somebody has to be a De de escalating force in his situation and and and so that's the way that goes somebody has to be A. Enforce I'm asking the community in public to be very mindful of their interaction with the police and everything like that. So. The second point is is that we don't know what's in the car as I mentioned before we don't know it's in the car..

"L A All right. So my executive producer was just going through the probable cause affidavit here regarding the Riton House matter, So she's going through it. She sent me the file was he thought, Was she sending the file so whatever Yeah. Whatever you just sent me was not a proper link. So hang on a minute. What did you just sent me? Uh, I So so whatever you want to be lookout on Page three, you did not send me a proper link, So it's not open. You sent me like a file but didn't attach a file. Well, I have the Rittenhouse court info. Is that the second thing you just sent me? Okay, so you get gotta let me know where I'm looking. So again, we have We have some new information some more detail while I sort that out because I want I want to get you the latest as we have it. But we have as I mentioned before the break. We have the breaking news usurping the breaking news regarding Jacob Blake. Now keep in mind. Jacob Blake. The individual. I got shot seven times by the Kenosha police was not following police instructions. The police union is saying that he had a knife. The police union, saying that Jacob Blake did have a knife that there was a knife in the vehicle of the report said that the cops were yelling. Drop the knife, drop the knife before the shooting when they were still toward. The side or back of the car. We're waiting for again. The timeline structure to become very clear here. Did he have a knife in his possession while they were scuffling behind the police car? Originally before he got up and walked around and then went to his driver's door opened it up, reached in bent down the last thing you want to do with police when their commanding you To follow their orders to try to neutralize the situation. So what is the original breaking news that one of the breaking news items that have now you served part of the breaking news? And what is the reason for that? Let me lay this out because it's not complicated. Just a lot of moving pieces there. As you know, there's still a lot of the story that is not completely clear yet of every aspect of the shooting of this 29 year old man, Jacob Blake. Last Sunday in Kenosha, Wisconsin. We already knew that the officers shot Blake in the back seven times is Rustin Schelsky. He is a seven year veteran of the Kenosha Police department. It has not been revealed that the other two officers were Vincent Arenas. Who has been with the department since February. 2019 previously served with the U. S Capitol Police Department and Britney Marinich, who joined the Kenosha Police Force this past January. We know that a knife was recovered from the floor of the driver's side of Blake's SUV. That's where he was reaching or appeared to be reaching. Cops assume in that situation. Going to your car, ignoring commands, ignoring police orders. You go to your car you reach in. Cops are trained to assume even a lay person ought to assume that you're going to grab a weapon and it turns out that there was a knife under that seat. The police union, also saying a knife under the seat of the SUV or he was in possession of the knife. Now the state authorities are not alleging that Blake threatened anybody with the knife. Okay, That's important, but because facts do matter. Chesky shot Blake while grabbing onto that white tank top. It looked like it had actually ripped in the clutches of the police officer. About they try to use a Taser on Blake. I told you this on yesterday's show that they tried to use a Taser. The Taser was ineffective. This is important. This is no detail. What prompted and I had asked this during the course of the week. Why were the cops there in the first place? We had heard it was a domestic issue. And you ask any police officer? Domestic violence calls Khun B. The most dangerous, most deadly. We've had numerous cop shot already this year. We've had numerous officers killed. Because of Ah domestic incident we had. Did we have a Florida case just recently as well. So why did the police show up in the first place? And 5 11. P. M. On Sunday, The Kenosha police officers were dispatched after a 901 call. 28 05 40 of straight on a report of family trouble. A dispatcher told officers that a woman Hold for police and the dispatcher relayed what the woman had said. The woman said again. This was a Initiated call from potentially the girlfriend or fiancee off Jacob Blake. The female caller called 911 and said quote Jacob Blake isn't supposed to be there and he took the complaints Keys and is refusing to give them back. Are we to assume that there is some type of domestic issue between Jacob Blake? A man who was shot by the police and the girlfriend slash fiancee. According to The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Court records indicate that Kenosha County prosecutors charged Blake on July 6th with sexual assault. Trespassing and disorderly conduct in connection with the domestic abuse. An arrest warrant was issued the following day, that would have been July 7th. Now what has changed? Reporting justice after since we put these facts together since roughly the beginning of the show, we have a breaking news update in just the last 45 minutes. That the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department spokesman, Sergeant David, right. Is now saying that The warrants have been vacated. So apparently either the sheriff or the clerk or whomever law enforcement in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, is now saying. That the felony warrants have been vacated. What does that mean? Now This also comes on the heels and I mentioned this earlier that we have Jacob Blake handcuffed to his hospital bed. And the family was making a big deal out of this. Why is he Chained to the hospital. But why is he cuffed? He's paralyzed. They claim he can't walk. However, there've been reports that maybe he might be able to recover and walk. We'll see what happens here. On the handcuff if issue the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department spokesperson, Sergeant David right. Said that Blake was handcuffed to the bed because quote he has felony warrants for his arrest from crimes that he committed prior to the shooting incident. So we're not dealing with a model citizen here. I'm not saying That I wish that Mr Blake had been shot seven times. But Mr Blake also the police know that they're arriving to a situation where there are felony warrants..

"35. It's morning edition from NPR News. I'm Steve Inskeep in Washington and I'm David Greene in Los Angeles. Kenosha, Wisconsin saw more protests last night, and this time they took a deadly turn. The Kenosha Police Department Says three protesters were shot and to have died. All this comes after Jacob Blake, a black man was shot by police Sunday in Kenosha. Blake survived but his family says he is paralysed from the waist down after police shot him multiple times in the back. We have Wisconsin public radio's Rachel Vasquez with us this morning. Hi, Rachel. David, can you take us through these protests yesterday and how they became deadly. Yeah, it really It felt like two separate protests as the night went on for me when I was out there, walking around earlier in the evening, there was an initial march with about 100 or so protesters. Who kind of walked across the city. They were largely peaceful in on foot and in cars and they returned to the county courthouse area. Right right around the A. P. M central time curfew for the city. And they at that time urged a lot of the people who were with them to go home and to respect the curfew. Onda lot of them did, but some didn't in some state. We should say the city of Kenosha Police department has tweeted out that there were two fatalities last night and that they're following this with an investigation. I know we don't know much, but Do you know where this became Deadly? Was this around the protest that you're talking about our or somewhere separate. Yeah, it was in the kind of general vicinity of the protest within about a couple of blocks on DH. What we know about the investigation into the shooting so far is that they're focused on a group of protesters or a group of civilians. I should say who were there? Armed with guns and who were looking to protect private property. That's what they said. At least they were there to try to prevent looting and things like that. It's gonna be interesting to learn more about who they were. I mean, we know these protests have drawn a lot of a lot of different groups out onto the streets. The people who were out there protesting police brutality. I mean, can you tell us what exactly, they're demanding at at this moment? Yeah, they have a couple of different things that they're looking for. They want the release of any and all video related to the incident to the shooting of Jacob Blake. They want a community review board to help give the Kenosha community of voice in some of the policing decisions that they say are negative, negatively affecting communities of color there. On DH just like communities across the country. A lot of them are calling to defund the police as well. OK, and just to restate the news. We're getting word from the Kenosha Police department that two people were killed last night in Kenosha. This is as protests continue over the police shooting of Jacob Blake, who remains hospitalized. His family says he is Paralyzed Wisconsin Public radio. Very chill, Vasquez. Thank you so much. You're reporting on this. Thanks, David. Many people who lose their homes in wildfires are in hurricanes did not know they were in harm's way. You can understand that this might happen. You know that. The house is near the woods near the coast. But you don't quite realize the risk don't quite realised the extent of the danger. It's obvious to a lot of Americans that climate change means more flooding more than 1000. Homes and businesses are flooded in the Jackson, Mississippi, southern Louisiana, More than 60,000 homes north west of Omaha is still dealing with the mess more than 400 homeowners. Even though government flood maps have been around since the seventies, there was no mention of flooding on real estate websites. Until today. Leslie Jordan is a vice president of the website realtor dot com, which lists more than 110 million homes. Flooding is the most common, costly natural disaster in the US so realtor dot com has added flood information to every listing. Jordan says that's thanks in part to a new, privately funded flood information project called Flood Factor. Matt is one of the co founders of Flood Factor, which rates houses on a scale from 1 to 10, so it's very likely in a very deep flood. You'll get a flood factor of 10 for that property. That kind of info has actually been out there for years. It's just that regular people haven't had access to it. A democratization of this information is the way that we like to think about it because there are people who already have this information. And they're already acting on it. "Much directed at you. The message you heard was. Said, I did arrested in your support. Bat showed in Biden's acceptance speech. It was in many ways and impassioned and effective address, but not a word about the opioid epidemic and deaths of despair that destroying families. Not. A word about the outsourcing of jobs that has decimated the community's. Not a word about confronting showed up the country that is at least covert nineteen in our country, and it's decimated many economic sectors with unfair trade practices. Biden blamed trump for the job losses from the pandemic. But these voters remember that before the pandemic hit America had recovered a half million manufacturing jobs under trump after losing almost two hundred thousand factory jobs in the Obama Biden years, trumpeter stances, which is partly. Why just hours before Biden's address? He held a rally in the former vice-presidents birthplace in. Scranton Pennsylvania Joe Biden is no friend of Pennsylvania. Trump said he's actually your worst nightmare biden who supported every single globalist attack on Pennsylvania workers. Nafta China's entry into the World Trade Organization which built China into a Power Korea the horrible ridiculous Paris climate accord which stripped our nation of its energy and the so-called clean power plaid. Trump is behind in most battleground state polls show the race in pivotal Pennsylvania may be tightening. July. Biden had an eleven point lead in the Fox. News. Paul a new poll shows this week shows trump within the margin of error trumped the opportunity to do what Biden did not use his convention to reach beyond his base and make a pitch to the ten to fifteen percent of voters who have said they approve of his economic policies but don't approve of him. It is in their economic self interest. To give him a second term. That's Mark Thyssen in the Washington Post as I point out all the time elections are decided by the people who go back way but both ways to go back and forth trump got almost all of them last time around and as long as Joe Biden keeps chasing the radical left with the talking points of Corona virus of the middle class and by. The sucking up to China the second to black lives matter. Ed ignoring the issues that matter to these swing voters in the middle class. He misses opportunities and you know for all this talk again of the polls that Biden ahead. That enthusiasm gap that's a real thing. Somebody. WHO's extremely enthusiastic. You'd have to worry about them getting out to vote. The last time I saw a differentiation like this. And again, turned out to be real. Was In twelve when the Obama supporters were more enthusiastic than the Republican supporters where for robbery. And the Obama supporters turned out in better numbers that the Romney supporters did I want to give you this story very quickly here The story is sub. New. Jersey. Now. It's not about an important election. But the issue is huge. It was race for the City Council in Paterson New Jersey. The election. Wise. Met The guy at all doesn't know of and his wife just sent the email because she's concerned about the issue she's contacting. All I tell ya all these It's possible. We had a case like this and I've talked about in the passer public official when after somebody spells because the usual. I mean, usually it's like. When Hillary was running for President Bill Clinton. This is just a citizen. is a doctor and then the contact perhaps. I can't believe you got a doctor whose wife is a good says, what are you? GonNa, do about it I this. I don't expect anybody in the Sheboygan media is going to do anything about this. What should I Well whatever there is. They got a radio station up there that does some stories every now that. What? They had a story not long ago. I, forget what it was. It was about this health orders I think. So. If nobody else finds out about it at least i. At least I know about it I I've. They're going to be people who want to post this I. GotTa think about this because I this woman as he has gotten it I I don't need her to be involved in. The supervisor involved. His name William Gary Gary. You're going it's spelled G. O. E. H. R. I. G.. Had those of you that are objecting to this health ordinance up there. You better let your spouse. No. Because all bearings going to contact your spouse's boss and see if you can't get people fired over Over this. Eleven thirty W I S and mark belling late afternoon show. Sports talk your and they're hard to get a feel for the packers because. I've always made fun of the preseason games at I've always argued that you need precedes in the NFL. College teams don't have preseason. They played Non Conference Games with enough preseason. I don't find that how you're supposed to do. WHO said he got. The. One thing that you're missing the preseason is you would like to see they gotta make a decision if they're going to carry three quarterbacks this year and Tim Boyle who was the backup you know? He's at least got a couple of years you know in the system in Green Bay and so on and if the idea is to bring Jordan love along. Slowly I mean what if you're Rogers go down and week one that would mean you're making Jordan love your starting quarterback all the way through and he has no opportunity to grow so. I'd like to. Wish you could see something of a, but the other thing is because the media cat training camps are essentially closed or you get really thirty reports of who looks good during drills and. So forth, and so on ads for the birds, they kind of an interesting decision to make. I it's hard to think of this as midseason, but it's midseason. And it's the stage during the baseball season. Now, where teams have to decide if they're gonNA dump players because they're not in contention, get rid of a bunch of decent players in an attempt to get a zillion prospects and that usually has worked very well teams that are in contention we'll overpay. And give you a lot. For just that above average player the problem is, is that sixteen teams make the playoffs this year and the brewers are not by any stretch out of it as bad as they looked in Pittsburgh over the weekend. So, do you say to yourself? Even if you made the playoffs, you wouldn't go anywhere. So maybe this is our opportunity to. See. If you can't get something for some players who might have some trade value The counter to that is so few brewers are hitting at all I don't know who. Who The brewers happened their team other they yell H in Europe who if traded, him could even start for anybody else. And the best pitchers that they have are young and you wouldn't think. tradable out of the anybody wants to see Adrian Hauser or Brandon. Woodworth? Traded maybe David Phelps, out of the bullpen you could get something for him or some Claudio who's looked usually pretty good sometimes not so good out of the blue pet bullpen saw I. I would. You know. You win a few games. You're suddenly in the playoff hotted this baseball I'd be in the playoffs. Any bad team could win it this year. Let's move out. A couple of political stories and after I conclude this, I'm going to be giving you the six o'clock in the season summer cash contest. There's been a lot written about the Democratic convention and of course, last day I was here was on Thursday I did watch Biden speech. There's literally nothing to say about it. He delivered the speech without falling flat on his face and said nothing of interested in that's kind of the point. What I was struck by. Joe Biden just kept reading these lines. You know the steal from Obama of. Hope and change to hope in light. There wasn't anything there at all. In terms of what he's GonNa do Josh. I'm going to be a decent president as opposed to this goof we have. That's never worked. So. Looking through it, I tried to find a piece that I thought summarize these points fairly well in the best one I is written by mark facing. You may have seen it time to time. He's on Fox. If you're there places this appeared over the weekend of the Washington Post. He writes while President Trump's base is already fired up to vote in November Democrats spent this week's Democratic National Convention, just trying to get a fire started. Much of the Biden Convention was an exercise in base mobilization. There's a reason for that a Washington Post, ABC News Paul just before the convention showed that while sixty five percent of trump's supporters say they are very enthusiastic about supporting the president. Only forty, eight percent of Biden supporters say the same thing about the former vice president. Let me interject that sometimes means something which side is more motivated to get out and vote. Now if it's an all male an election, maybe it doesn't mean anything at all. It's a male intellectually fill out somebody's ballad informed on Matt if they're motivated or not back to the column. Democratic presidential nominee Joe. Biden has an enthusiasm problem with two key constituency needs to win younger voters and African Americans only twenty five percent of voters. Aged eighteen to thirty nine are very enthusiastic about voting for him and CNN reports that Biden support among black voters smaller than Clinton's wasn't twenty, six, hundred worse only sixty, eight percent of African Americans, age eighteen to twenty nine say they intend to vote for biden seventeen points fewer that supported Clinton for years ago. If you think Democrats confident, these voters will turn out count how many times they urged. To make a plan to vote and energize based, does it need that kind of encouragement? Those facts at base mobilization came at a cost. This is the I agree with. There was virtually no effort to win the backing of working class voters who voted twice for Obama but defected trump in two thousand sixteen. The reason trump is president today is because about one third of the nearly seven hundred counties that twice went for Obama? Went for trump and twenty, six, hundred according to Nick Cohen of the new. York Times trump won because he flipped millions of white working class Obama supporters to his side. If you were working class. Obama trump voter watching this week's convention. You heard a lot about gun violence, racial justice, and climate change. But not.

"That they had been dealing with the guy for quite some time and that he had been tased twice. Again I don't know if that's true but this is what I'm hearing. That he was tased twice and he was still able to keep up and move it around and that's why he started to get away. Now normally if you're as you're going to be down for the count and usually if your tastes the can use that as the opportunity them put you on restraints that is just able to fight through and fight off the tsar get I haven't seen any of this I. Don't know that that's what occurred. But if it is, it would be an indication of a guy that they tried to taste. They couldn't bring them under control. It does not appear as though the man was armed with a gun. I have heard some reports that he was armed with a knife. Out The part of the story that so far doesn't appear to make any saids. Is Sense. The guy's back was to the police officer when he was shot when he was getting into the vehicle, what was the need to use lethal force? That's why the situation obviously looks bad. On the other hand, all the people who jump to conclusions there are things we don't know. Were their children in the car and is there a fear? That they couldn't let this guy get away with those kids. Giddy half a knife, but he was getting into the vehicle with the children. What was the nature of the domestic call in the first place? Where the children. Collateral damage that this or were they among the victims. Don't know the answer to that. If there was a case for the justifiable use of force it would certainly that. There was a fear that he was getting weapon and Mike Pratt take off with people in the car if there was anyone in the car. Why did they shoot him rather than attempt to taste him and getting into the vehicle again, if he had already taste and that didn't do any good. Or if all the officers had already taste and they didn't have any stuff left in their tasers, I don't know. But what I've seen situations like this in the past when the guy won't stop what they normally do as taste him. That's what the tasers four. You're try to detain a suspect that he's nine cooperative. That's why you use a Taser Rodman and attempt to the Taser jolts you generally disables you could bring the person under control usually PA- cups item after they've been taste now. I don't know why that didn't happen as he was getting into the vehicle unless they'd already takes a couple of times and the guy was so. Fired up that it didn't slow him down. There will be more than enough time for this to be investigated. I would hope that this would be a case that the FBI It might still be good for something this would be it. I think making this federal investigation putting the FBI in charge of it something that would properly be called for at this point. By law the KENOSHA Police Department can't investigate its own operation. Wisconsin. Police shootings have to be investigated by an outside agency and I think in this case, turning this into a federal thing would be a good idea. Josh Call, lefty attorney, General of the State of Wisconsin. He's licking his chops. He'd love to get all over this thing. So. He could hang every police officer at America I think that this is. Something to bring the Justice Department into, it certainly would be federal jurisdiction. You'd be talking about civil rights violation. If there was a rifle shooting, the feds have investigated many types of cases like this in the past. So I would hope the attorney general at the United States bar. Would direct the FBI to take charge of this investigation and get to the bottom of all of this ed as I say, if there isn't a lot of body camera because the police thought habit I again, we're everybody is better off the more information we have. You know initially when there was calls for body cameras, a lot of cops didn't like it because luck sometimes you got to use force to bring people under control people that get the wrong idea. They think that we're brutalizing people, I. People, people now think you're brutalizing everybody as he as the video that you see generally makes the police officers look good, and in this instance, the only video we have seen as the of the incident. If there was domestic violence going on inside the house, we didn't get to see that you wouldn't have seen that with body camera. Anyway we saw at the end of a situation in which the guy who got shot me have been causing all sorts of trouble in May have done all sorts of things that led up to this, which would certainly not justify a wrongful shooting, but we don't have a full picture of it. I would prefer as I always say in situations like this before we decide whether or not the police officers were in the wrong or this guy provoked whole thing and it was a reasonable response. Let us see what the information isn't see what the evidence is. Because right now we've gotten from the authorities down there essentially nothing. The separate question is whether or not we're going to let me know should be burned to the ground if people want to March and yell, they can March Yell. Or knows even able to handle marching and yelling in the United States over the last four months. We cannot let people go and smash. Smash up cars throw projectiles at police officers, attack people's homes, start fires, attacked government facilities. We can't let the shutdown tom be ruined. We can't let this become Minneapolis and if they see that sort of behaviour occurring, we have to a allow the National Guard to use force there not a police agency but they have force And we have to allow the police to use force for all the people that are could say, well, you can't let the cops start shooting more people that just go to inflame things even more. Okay. Well, the tournament as I say is to allow Abacus and that's what's included in this. You've always had from the beginning from the black lives man for the George Floyd you have people upset about police violence were joined by a bunch of people often white who have no concern about any of these things at all they take advantage of these situations that go in and just smash up and burn things down often they don't even live in the community that's being burned out. And that's what cannot be allowed to occur here. And the mayor of Kenosha. Anna Ramey rather than worry about and you know the funny thing about the press conference that they called off today though they moved inside is this is supposed to be a piece in justice press conference and so on. But the minute of the protesters started yelling and screaming Adam and raisin hell they ran inside and then they ended up throwing the pepper spray rounded is all well, let stand outside standard solidarity all this trying to work out and trying to be reasonable doesn't work. Your number one as I say, you can't UN ring the bell of the police shooting from yesterday all you can do as a proper investigation and as I say I think the FBI has the right entity to do it. What you can control is what happens from this point forward, and you will not control things unless you make your number one priority, the maintaining of order not the suck up to people that are trying to cause trouble. News talk eleven thirty W S unmarked dumbing down. What. We know about Jacob Flake, the man who was shot by police. Well, I, think you have a pretty good feel for what the situation was only a month and a half ago. He was facing criminal charges and Kenosha County. He was arrested and charged than July sex.

He's more of a one-dimensional player at he misses too many shots did everybody else it'd be in the tier below that for fans reacting to it. Nobody knows why the TV ratings are down is it because the game seemed Blah with no fans in the stands is it because people can't get into watching basketball and August? Is it because of the over-politicisation or is it because people have just found? Other things to do is one of the reasons that baseball is down is because it's competing with basketball and other words baseball always had this part of the year to south only be competing with preseason football. "If that theory is correct. It would indicate that the longer we go with public schools not open. The more parents and I'm not saying Joyti but the more parents are going to say screw it I put my kid in a private school. Now, I know some have already done this and we've heard stories from and it's always interesting you get. Up All the communities, we haven't southeastern Wisconsin the one where the backlash against the closing of the schools is the greatest I I would not have predicted this. I'm not saying, I'm surprised by. If you ask of all the communities with their closing the public schools where where the parents gonNA. Make the biggest thing about it. I would not have guessed Mac one but it is Mac one there were there's active protests hundred fifty parents were protesting yesterday. They've got a big social media thing going really hacked off people at. Mek. wadded I've heard that there are already parents had one scrambling. They're looking for a private school that can block their kid into right now at eight for a lot of those private schools they're good. You don't need to go. You don't need to give eleven months notice to come in. If you show up on Monday that could be an a chair, twenty, five minutes later, they're going to take you. Beggars can't be choosers. So if As time goes log every week a few more parents decide screw it. I'm putting my kid in a private school. As the public schools stay closed. At some point. For Mere Survivability, the public schools are going to have to reopen. and. The longer you go when something isn't in place You really have to wonder how much people will miss at how will start to adapt without being around as an example. There been a zillion stories about the poor TV ratings. For the NBA playoffs by the way, the box one, this after D- I swear every game they've one has been like fifteen points. It was fifteen point. See ever have they all been fifteen was fifteen or fourteen, sixty to. Fourteen. Fifteen fifteen in a fourteen of what's a sixteen I think one was a sixty. So they're all in the same range it I didn't get to see any of this game working like a dog. Was it the same thing with a cold up way early and then they help same thing the last three games the bucks one they just knocked him out in the first half and then held on the second half. So the bucks are three one in that series if you were paying any attention to Orlando Ed. Game The next game is going to be Wednesday. But the TV ratings for the NBA Playoffs are Wade. Out. And Paul Ratings are down there not doubt as much as basketball, but the baseball ratings are down to. They held the indy five hundred yesterday. The ratings were terrible at least in comparison with the indy five, hundred normally gets. There are all these theories. Some people believe that the basketball and baseball. Baseball, ratings are down because many people are upset about the political message that are out there major league baseball putting this mlb and all the mounds. The NBA players all with their slogans on the back of the uniforms of black lives matters painted on the courts. Some people say that that is turned off a lot of fans and that they're not watching. I. Don't know. How would that explain the indy five hundred which doesn't I. Don't think they did too much that was political. Those ratings were down to. I. Wonder if it's not so much people alienated by the political messages city is. The, you're screwed the scheduling of so much that people have lost interest the baseball not starting in. April. But it normally started there are a lot of people that just they can't get into it. And basketball holding the playoffs in August as opposed to April may June when they're normally held that people can't get used to another words by dumping it for a few months we moved on to other things in some of those people who moved onto other things they're not coming back. I don't know maybe it's that maybe it's I. Don't know. I just I don't know. Well I think the public schools run that rest to the logger day go without operating school. The more we're going to move on to other things that have some periods decide hey, we could do this online permanently. They might just enroll their kid in an online program or to a combination of homeschool online or let's just go over to the private school the log the public schools remain in hiding mode with the teachers either depending on whether my letter writer is correct. They're just stupid and misinformed or I'm correct. Just a bunch of Lazy slugs won't come into work whichever what it is the longer this goes there's no endgame for them. is going to be fewer kids in the school and therefore fewer need for teachers. You know maybe this is just going to be one or two day thing or. Maybe it's going to get worse my advice without getting into the entire Kenosha topic is the authorities have to have to gain control from the beginning. And that's the mistake that was made in other communities where everything went apart that means you have to crack down and not worry about the ramifications cracking down if the protesters believed that they can get away with burning down buildings and. Torching cars and smashing and looting businesses they will do so. You have to make it clear from the very beginning that they will not be allowed to get away with that. "Afternoon Milwaukee. This is the mark belling late afternoon show on news talk eleven thirty W I, S. Such as it is the Republican National Convention is underway and. Nobody even knows where it is visiting Jacksonville Charlotte. Is it in Salt Lake? City? It's like the bill. There was the claim that there was a convention in Milwaukee last week nobody saw any indication of that whatsoever. Wait. I have been criticized for not pudding. The lack of a convention in Milwaukee Proper context that I'm not sure that I'm going to have time to do so today the fact that. A pair La Co shows going to be the next Minneapolis and they're gonNA burn the city to the ground because. Of a police shooting that we don't know anywhere near enough about to decide whether or not. So, odd I also WANNA talk about the context of the Republican convention beginning this week, and we clearly have a number of stories to discuss on the show is well, somebody tried to do a balancing act and work my way through all of those things but let's do this, i. It's not will there be a treatment that's particularly effective. It's not well treatment that's going to be a cure. All of those are important questions. But I don't think anybody can do anything snap their fingers and make this thing. Go Away Tomorrow. Given that I keep wondering what the end game is. For people who are insistent that we can't continue with life. You see some people beginning to move forward here especially as the numbers plummet to. Almost nothing in some parts of the country California, which had a little bit of a peak. Early, the summer had their numbers have really really crashed. Here in Wisconsin, we've been on the same steady flatlined forever and ever and ever, and ever with hardly anybody dying the hospitalization numbers remaining relatively stay stable and the and the positive tests going up according to how many tests there are. But over the weekend as I'm sure many of you are aware. Dane, county closed off the schools which is created absolute chaos for all the parents of private school. Kids many of whom are supposed to start today. The Dane County decision came out of nowhere their numbers aren't even going up. Now, the Madison public schools, they announced for some time that they're going to be closed, I. I don't know if Madison will ever have public school again, but many of the private schools were planning to open. And they were giving no warning or notice of this at all the Dane. County executive simply shut them down. Since, these private schools were planning to they weren't set up at all for mass virtual instruction. Darren chaos there's talk of a lawsuit nobody even knows whether or not a cody executive can close non public schools eight. It's one of these arguments as to why I have been pounding the table that we have got to stop local county governments. From imposing these health orders because. They've demonstrated again and again and again and again, and again that if you give them an inch, they literally do take a mile. So don't give an edge. Nobody voted to give them the authorization to cody government Veerappa County now, the city county closing schools that are run by the government at all. So there's talk of a lawsuit, maybe what is going to be filed but best case scenario. If that thing ever gets to the State Supreme Court. It's months from now it doesn't change the fact that these kids who are in their parents who are counting on going to school Monday have. Today in some cases, some of the schools open later can't go into school which keeps bringing me back to this point that has you know I keep talking about what the end game on any of this is when these people that are intent on shutting everything down forever and having us wear masks forever and having businesses closed forever office closed forever and having no fan at any sporting events and. No Broadway musicals no arts no performing arts stuff what their end game is because there's no economic model that allows them to operate over the long term without revenue where customers. I've had. And again, I realized it's the point of being on ad, nauseam. Here I've just been demanding people come up with what is the criteria by which you are going. To, just drop this and let us return to you know to society as normal and they give me a no answer. So everything that keeps coming up with regard to the corona virus that just continues to be the backdrop. Ed. Here's the other thing. It's. There appears to be. Death wish isn't the right word. I always try to figure out people's motivations because if you don't understand the motivation, you don't understand why something is happening. Every time we get. Positive News on Corona virus. It seems the really really upset some people. It's like they don't even think the good news is good news in part because I don't think they what the good deals. When you hear for example that? Any vaccine might not be all that effective. Some seem very happy about that. When we hear about a treatment that might work many are angry about it, and then you know trump came out finally got the FDA to approve this plasma treatment. I. Swear. hangnail somebody's GONNA come up with plasma infusion. It's just like the thing right now. Whenever they discovered this I actually think Lance Armstrong by discovered this maybe we're going to end up. Maybe we'RE GONNA have to go back and decide that he was actually a major when he said do the blood doping all that stuff but he and the other when they were taking out their own blood and then re. Putting stuff it and then reinserting your own blood or whatever the hell he was. You know all that Lance, Armstrong doing one of the greatest cheaters of all time on all I'm not cheating and then so many of you out there I believe Lance Armstrong I love making fun of people who believe Lance Armstrong because then people say well, you believe Brian Brown I know I did. The. Good thing about that. Is that the? Ryan. Braun thing..
