"That abrupt ending with Andy. But Andy's Number to book a trip and you know they have trips in the bay. Whether you stay in the bay and go after halibut and stripers. They have, uh, if you want to, You can go out to the north and South bar when the tides are down, That's just going directly out the golden Gate Bridge and then a little to the left or a little to the right. Um And when the halibut gets good there, boy gets really good. And of course, there's salmon fishing. Then they go up the coast Rock fishing. They go out there. Farrell on islands on Nice Days Rockfish Inc They do a lockdown there in the number to book a trip area code 5 10 6523403. At the end of the day. 4 35 o'clock They have a hotline. They have a recording You can call. Find out how how All the boats did that day And that number is area code 5 10 652. 3474 Well up north. The Climate River opened up a week ago this past Thursday, so it's been open about 10 days and, um, everybody was wondering because Like all the the state and federal experts that that said, this is going to be a terrible year for salmon, Uh, for the Sacramento fish, Uh, it's going to be even worse for the clam of So you know who knows what to believe anymore. But you get a feeling that the people that make these predictions now I know it's a tough job is not easy. A lot of factors. This hasn't just been happening. Four or five years has been happening for 20 to 30 years and the wrong most of the time, and they keep saying, Well, we're using the best available science. And they also say this is my pet beef. We're doing the best we can. Well, you know, get somebody else to do it because you're not doing a very good job. Now you've gone over the top. You might as well just save your predictions because it doesn't do anybody any good. And people pay the price. So I Kenny priest who lives there and has lived there for years and years up in Eureka. He he fishes the ocean. He fishes. The river has got a drift boat has got a jet boat and You know the Klamath River? You know the whole Year class of fish trying to come down the river now. Could be wiped out because the bureau did not say bureau reclamation did not save enough water to flush them down the river during low water years like they normally do so. What's new anyway? I talked to Kenny Priest about that opener yesterday, Kenny. Week ago this past Thursday, the lower Klamath Open for salmon, and we know there was some fish caught you mentioned to me last week. They were rolling all over the estuary. And, of course, that's a title fishery. So what's happened in the last 10 days? Well, you know, it started off really good. There was a lot of fish in there. You know, they're coming in with the tides and, you know, honestly, it really hasn't changed. So there's still a lot of fish. They're rolling all over the place. You know, there's quite a few boats out there on a daily basis. Probably, you know, 15 to 20 boats out there trolling in a couple different spots. Um, so it's It's pretty good fishing. I think there's a lot more fish in there then. Um then you know what we were expecting to see that seems to be the trend this year. It does. And you know the that's the good part. But the bad part is that the river is is really warm. So you know, even the estuary is up over 74 degrees now, so Oh, my goodness. Yeah. So that's what an influx of seawater So it's really, really warm, so I just can't imagine that any of those special or very many of them are making their way up River So you know, it's almost like they're trapped down there not trapped, but You know they're definitely going in and out with the tides. Temperature, just like acting like a barrier. I mean, it gets that warm. I can see why they adventure in and then venture back out. Absolutely. Yeah, it is a barrier and you know if it's always been that way on the climate River, and if you didn't have that barrier, you would have no estuary fishing, So that's just that's just kind of how how it's big. Sure. You get any reports from upriver? No, I haven't heard any reports up River. The only report that I know upriver is I've seen the wear accounts on the trinity. And, um I don't know if I told you but you know they were a couple weeks ago there already. Your past all of last year, so that's how many fish have already made it all the way up to climb it. Turn right in the Trinity and you know all the way the Junction City so the run looks pretty strong so far. Wow. I mean, and of course, the what we're talking about is you know the projections for the Klamath was almost are almost devastated. Um, you know, they felt that it was gonna be one of the worst years on record and the same for the Sacramento River. And they're just taken so many fish out in the ocean. Um, you know, whatever the case is, these people they keep saying, Well, we're using the best available science. Well, guess what. It's not good enough. And also change your tact. My goodness, Gracious. It's really like flipping a coin. I mean, it's you know when they say it's going to be dire, you know, that's sometimes you know the years that the fish really come back, and no one knows why and and vice versa. But You know, they don't really calculate or count the spring run fish in the ocean. So they you know when they're when they're counting fish, the ocean abundance for the climate, they typically those are the fall fish. And I think this show is like 186, but You know, the spring run has been going down for so many years. Um You know, certainly no one was expecting a ton of fish to come back. Yeah. Well, you know, uh, And here's another thing the department even though the commission um Put the protection on the spring run Salmon the department under its director, Chuck Bottom. Officially took the stand No difference between spring run fish and the fall run food. Yeah, that was. Yeah, That was unfortunate. I mean, you think they'd get anybody outside that department to agree with them? No. It doesn't sound like it. So you know, that was a That was an interesting meeting an interesting decision, and you know, it even had the fishing game folks scratching their head. Yeah. Hey, on on the cover the same subject, the halibut fishing here We have a couple of years of one of the best Pacific halibut seasons up in your neck of the woods out of Eureka and all that. Um That we've ever had. And you know, there's a quota on these and all of a sudden boom it shut down. I mean, talk about the best available science. There is where it fell flat on its face again. Again, you know, and it goes, You know, It just goes back to these projections and how they how they do things and you know, they're just they're not..

"Temperature changes. Other reservoirs do just the opposite. And Lake Shasta seems to be one of those reservoirs. I talked to Andrew George about how the conditions affected shaft of this past week. Andrew. The standard question of the week is the weather we've had the last few weeks. How is it changed fishing on leg Schefter? It's actually turned for the better For once. I know I've been given some not okay reports and that's just a fish. But right now you've been honest. You've been very honest. That's important. Yes, there's like, right now. The guys are finally certainly catch him and guys are actually starting to catch him dirt shallow, so you can get him anywhere from zero All the way out to 50. So now there's a number of things guys were doing hula Grubbs. Thank goes, of course, but I guess it's one heck of Ah spoon bite out there as well. So they they're on the shad school. So that means the shad must be within the top. 50 ft, Then out Believe all that snow, Mel and all that runoff definitely got bay pushing back up. Finally. Okay. Are they in the coves like the deep coves or the out in the main body of the lake? They're going to start moving into the backseat coves. I know that because some guys are starting to see him back there. And, of course, their main lake, and some guys are actually starting to see better size Shad, too, And it's been a while since we see that talking like 2 to 3 inches. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Fish will get fat on those on hurry out. Definitely So s O this even though the since this Tuesday's rain, it's been real cold. And of course, it's a different scenario for almost every lake, which is very interesting. Shasta seems to rebound from any kind of. Ah, slump pretty quickly and it doesn't take much and it sounds to me by fish being scattered depth wise. That they're just the beginning of the priests. Pond might be in evidence here. Uh, Definitely. I think you hit it right on the head. I think we're just right around the corner from that, or if not just a couple of really nice days. So it might be a chance to catch a big fish. Uh, maybe twitching or ripping a little Bates. Is that possible out, Shasta? Oh, yeah, definitely. I mean, they're chasing shadows will definitely eat that, especially without water temp dropping a little bit. What about what about plastics? If you were going to go out and just do something on the bottom, what would you be using right now? Specifically green pumpkin hula grubs that brown cinnamon purple hula grub. And then, of course, the same configuration and sank goes and the sky text with the belly spin would be really good, too. Okay. You like that, Billy spin, huh? I do, especially this time of year when they started chasing around them. Shadows heavy as they are. Yeah, OK, let's turn our attention to trout. What's the latest there? They should be with this cold water near the surface. What do you hear him? Oh, man. Yeah, It's been great anywhere from 20 to 40 ft. I think's been the prime depth for those guys. And I've been seeing a lot of really big Browns and rainbow Scott. Lately, all top 20 ft. Seems like Okay, Well, well, that's good s O You say 20 to 40 ft under standard you talking about the top 20 like already morning. I'm sorry, and then 20 to 45 that that's not the top 20 So 20 to 45 been good. I'm sure you can catch him up top the 20 to 40 fives. All I've been hearing and guys were using a lot of speedy shiners. Trip lures and hum dingers at the moment. Yeah s O is that is that shad related? Do you think Definitely especially the colors have been seeing guys by black white, white straight chrome's, You know the occasional gold but Just all shad patterns. That's Andrew George up. It fills prop in reading. That's pretty good fishing up there. That's just going to get better and better. That number 5302754939 you know, it's there's so many people bass fisherman. Uh, I kind of get a kick out of they got their bass. They're going to go out and they're gonna bass fish. And Shasta. I mean, what better lick to go out? And if you wanted if you wanted fish for bass fish for bass at the right time of day or whenever the conditions permit, And when the bass fishing is slow, you go trout trolling You try to pick up a brown You pot. Try to pick up a big rainbow or maybe a king salmon. Um, And then you can go back to bass fishing. I mean, doing both. There's a lot of fun. Uh um, Unless unless you're just a bass fisherman with a brand new bass boat, which dictates you must bass fish. But anyway, Shaft is a great lit to do a variety of fishing and we haven't had that great of reports on the coast. Although it was encouraging a while ago we got a report from Kenny priests that the Checco as bad as it was on Thursday. For what turned out to be 60 plonker geezer bank fishermen fishing close to the bank to catch a lot of fish. They caught three fish on Thursday. Yesterday broke wide open. I caught a lot of fear so hopefully that'll turn the corner on some of those coastal streams. In the meantime, last night, I talked to Matt Mitchell. About fishing on the Trinity River. Matt. Why the people on the coast are Fishing. The rivers that air coming in shape. One by one. They're not finding big numbers of fish. You seem to be doing better on the Trinity. How was this week for you? You know, if this pretty well this week, actually, I had some Fly fishing trips fishing with indicators and nips and we've got a good bump in the flows. The river blew out. I think last can remember what day it was to be honest, but, um, the last three days has been really fishable and fishing. Well, so So do you feel that there's been fish in the river all the time, like like down in the gorge down burnt ranch that and these storms. They're just bringing him up a school that a time what's going on there? I think that's probably a fair assumption. I also think there are some fresh fish like today. We hooked one that was pushing 30 inches came out of the water. Had it on a while bent to hook out. Unfortunately, um, but it was a beautiful chrome fish. It almost looked like a coastal fish that had not been in the river long and then we also today we got one. We got a downer. And then, uh, but we got one dark fish, but it obviously been in the river for a while. Not spawned yet, but she was dark, So I think there's a mix but I think a lot of these.

"You know, the main stem will start fishing next week. So you know, I'm expecting good things from the mainstream and the Southfork. And then we have I think in the forecast. We have a little rain later in the week. Yeah, but I don't. I'm not saying that's going to do much. So you know, at that point, we'll probably need some rain. Yeah, Mr Special, you know, start to drop out. So that Zonda bad thing to have a little bit of rain. Yeah, Well, good luck today, Kenny. Uh, I hope you spank him Good. Well, thanks, Bob. I hope someone too, okay? We'll talk to you soon. Thanks. Kenny Priest can he loves he? Eggs obviously got a passion for it. He's got a jet boat. He's got a drift boat, which he is in gonna be in shortly, and the book a trip 707496. 8671. Now let's turn our attention to the rivers. The Sacramento River came up 17 ft it Colusa. And then it's dropped back down. Of course, you know who's going to be out there Trying for sturgeon is robbed. Reimers of rustic Rob's Guide service. Good morning. Good morning, Bob and the surgeon finally got up here. That's good. At least there was some indication, huh? Yeah, we were We fixed last night. We had four sturgeon rolling around us, and we got one. It was a It was a great fighter. I took a friend of mine out. He used to do. And got him on a sturgeon. It was it was pretty early bite. It seemed like all the action was happening within a couple of hours. But we got this one on on row and he took off. Ran out. Ran right back to the boat. He couldn't hardly real fast enough to get Get the lying in as he was coming back to the boat. Just water. Well, 100 around the boat for a while and we got a minute. I thought he was a lot bigger than what he WASI flashed in the water. Lucy. It looks like a huge one, and then When we got him and he was actually a flatfish 51 a half inches. Alaska. It was gonna Yeah, looking right? So you got him on tomorrow. Yep. Got him on row. You know my road that like it was cheered Rose, but it was it was on Rome. So by the way, just heard last night late that some go shrimp is available. I think Sacrament of pro tackle got some in last night. Yeah, It's been tough. That's been tough to find. Yeah. What I heard was, uh, guys. That supplier had problems with his permits, and he couldn't get him for allow. Nobody had any. That's why we're using role and sardines and the hell in anything else, but it seems like any more every year. There's some sort of a problem with Urgent fish and either you can't get any bait or like last night we really wanted to finish his Del went out there and the gate flock. There is no reason to have the gate left. They did predict early in the week that the were was gonna go over a little bit, but they changed that where it never did go over. Yeah, yeah, the park of us anti gay flock. Guys never got out there. Don't do it. I tell you what, that's terrible Children. It was a good thing. There's no women or Children in my truck on the rating. I plan to get their lost all weekend. It's just ridiculous. You know? I mean, like he's starting to make a little bit out there in the river, and they just walk it up. Leave it locked up for a week. Where does that is that Sutter County? Yeah, that is not me. I'm going, but I mean, I mean that in my mind, that's well that Z just somebody that doesn't give a damn. Unfortunately, I mean, there's no reason for that. I mean, that's the main ramp in that whole section of river for miles and miles. Yeah, And I know there were fish. You know where I want to pitch up there, But, um You know, we give your stuff it down a nice landing and we got you know a lot about a few other faces all roll, but, you know, feel the point is there is there is no reason to him, but well, here we go, Robert Least we got you got a good indication you go out and tested every year. I know a friend of yours got a green sturgeon, so that was a good sign. And you. Ah, you have some chances. Got one keeper. Um I think that's going to start the ball rolling. So, uh, thanks for filling us in. I appreciate it. All right. Good luck today. Thank you. Bye bye. Rob Reimers Rustic Rob's Guide Service 530632. 0051 After the break. "Well, the North Coast River's course the dynamic the areas it rains like crazy. The rivers come up sometimes even flood stage. They take a while to come back down. And when they are when they do we expect hordes of steelhead to be there. Well, it's almost working. There's some steel in there, but not what we expect to talk more about that, Mr Kenny Priest. Good morning. Good morning, Bob. How you doing? Pretty good. It Z You know, I getting a little bit harder for me to be optimistic that we're going to get Ah, whole bunch of fish in the some of these rivers because it hasn't happened yet. Well, I am get it. Hopefully change your mind a little bit so overnight. I talked to yesterday and it wasn't looking as good. But overnight or yesterday late. I did hear some good reports, starting with the check. Oh, so the day day before. I was telling you that the Parkers didn't do very well. But the water was the other one wasn't what was there like 30 punkers and they got three fish something like that, Kenny. There was 60. But that was the day prior so yesterday, you know the color got a little bit better. Still not Vegetable yesterday just because of cholera in height, and they did really good yesterday, so a bunch of fish came in the punkers did really well, they were able to give quite a few wild fish and I think, actually because she's going to the brood stock program, so they did really well yesterday. A bunch of fish came in. So you know, I feel a lot better now I feel but better myself. Yeah, I know I was kind of doing yesterday. But, you know, I kind of woke up to some better news for sure. Yeah, I wish that would transfer to the Smith. I mean, the Smith has had a few good days this year and even kind of outperformed the check Go, which is unusual, but it hasn't been that way lately. Yeah, you haven't And but there were fish caught yesterday. So it's you know, it's just there was a lot of boat pressure yesterday because the Czech government and fishing and you know the rivers to the Southwark fishing. Some that happens. Everybody is on the Smith. So it's like You know, it's like it wasn't in the nineties. I mean the parking lot overflowing with votes, and it's just It's a lot of pressure. So you know that many boats on the river you know, you have to make every opportunity count and the guys who made their opportunities count. You know, kind of couple fish, but you know, it's it's I don't think it's a fish per boat. Certainly not a fish per rod. But there are fish to be had. But there's so much pressure on that river. Yeah, well, I remember what a just a handful of guys just a couple of them actually used to do. Not that a long ago with when you know when you put when you're doing the put in there. Just below the forks and Hioki and you know people are parking up on the road and everything. Well, some of these guys wouldn't even go down to the river till 8 30 or nine o'clock in the morning. And by that time, the pressure in the upper section of that run had lesson and they actually did pretty good. So what you say is true with the boats, New put the fish and our but they do. And then that was the case Yesterday, I'm in the parking lot was overbilled and if you would have came in at eight o'clock or 8 30 or nine blocks You know, you would have had that upper sections yourself and you could catch fish like that. You know, it's just you don't have to be first. You know, You don't want to be first or in the middle of the pack there. It doesn't work in your favor. So if you can't be first down the mister, you know you want to be kind of towards the end our class and just take your time and those fish will come back and no bite. Yeah. Kenny, Um, s some of the longer drainages without dams like The mad rivers that still muddied up. It usually is. It is, but it Z darting to clear So it's I'm thinking. Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday with green. It'll be bait fishable, the obviously gonna speak for fishing it already, but, um, it is it is starting to turn The main stimulus is actually starting to turn still big, but it's you know, it's starting to starting to take shape. And then the Southwark of the hell the top of it is is, uh, is green as well. And that's where I'm headed this morning. So to see if you see what's up there. Well, I just looked this morning It looked like the flow. Is it 1700 ft per second. Uh at, uh, Where was it Bimbo? Something like that. So is that a good flow for the Southwark? Um, I looked at the Miranda gauge, and it's about 2200 this morning, So that's kind of the top of the threshold wise. We're all start fishing when it's 3200 on the Miranda gauges is and that's kind of where it is right now. So it's you know, it'll be a little bit pushy, but as long as the color is okay, you know you could You could find some fish. Sure, Sure. Well, let's hope it because the eel has the potential to get huge numbers of fishing. In both the main stem and the South Fork. It doesn't and there could be you know from that last one is we had. You know, the main stem will start fishing next week. So you know, I'm expecting good things from the mainstream and the Southfork. And then we have I think in the forecast..

"Okay, as usual. Okay, usual, And that's that's kind of what we predicted. Even though it's big. It was still green and you know people either punking or they're able to address it the last couple days. So is it a situation where only the most experienced people should drift it? You know what it's pushing 12 Ft. I would say so. Yeah, that's you know, there were some people who were who chose to Look out of a boat. And there were some guys who chose to drift, But yeah, you got to be careful. I mean, at 12, ft on the jet Smith Gay just a lot of water coming down and you know you could get yourself in trouble pretty quickly, So it's Yeah, You're right. You know, you experienced people, You know that's that's part of it. The guides and the people who've done it before. No. Okay. What about results? How's the fishing ban often on? Well, you know, the results haven't been great. Given the conditions. I did talk to somebody's yesterday fish that there was about Five or six guides out yesterday, and it sounds like they all got ate fish at some point during the day, some on their first passed some on their second, but Scores weren't very good. I mean, you know, that's That stuff's not typical of the Smith River. Yeah. Any noticeable size big ones out there. You know, I haven't seen any big ones on the Smith yet. You know, I haven't. I haven't seen anything that you know. Over. 12 £13 yet so That's not to say they haven't been caught. But you know by the clunkers, but I haven't seen the big ones on that river yet. Well, you know if a lycan 18 or 20 pounders cause you're going to hear about it eventually, Right? Yeah. You know that picture will probably cross my computer screen at some point, so I just haven't. I haven't seen it yet. But I will tell you that, you know, just before all the rains came and you know the kind of blown out all of the rivers have had some big fish in it. And then I've seen some big ones come from the yield. I've seen some really big ones come from the mad. She's like it's gonna be a big fish year. Okay, so the Matt's going to be totally blowing out too right? It is. It's Zaf. Tell them for sure It's not completely mud, but it's um It's pretty dirty for sure so but you know, there's guys thorough, efficient. And they're you know they're doing their usual thing, and there's sufficient there for sure. Okay now, So what's the schedule of some of the rivers like, when would when you expect the check them to come in the eel, etcetera. Well, Looks like the check goes not gonna come in it all and looks like mid next week. It looks like we have one more storm coming in southern Oregon. I want to say that song, uh, there Monday. That's gonna bump up slows back up a little bit. So that's gonna push it back up. So it's looking like mid week is my guess. Maybe Thursday. Two positions will be good. And then, uh, you know, river is well, that's probably at least 10 days away. I'm thinking the mains and and then the Southfork is probably at least a week away. Okay. Do you think That we have in the river. Our first major pushes still had all the river. Yeah, I do. I really do. You know, Just find what I saw yesterday on the Smith. They were kind of what I saw on the Eagle River in especially the mad I think we do. I think there I think when everything kind of calmed down next week, we're gonna be a little bit drunk. Dry side. I think we're going to see some scores Go up for sure. That's Kenny priest. I'll tell you this. That's going to be an exciting time because they're catching fish in the Smith right now, although not a lot, because there's very few boats on the river just too dangerous. There's a lot of water coming down it and even some of the boat there plunking, which means they just put the anchor out in shallow water drops something overboard. And wait for the fish, which come up on the edge of the river during these high water periods to take it, And that's why you'll see a lot of bank fishermen. They just wade out, and they fished directly below them in two or 3 ft. Of water. You could catch a £10 steelhead. That's the way they do it. So is that water drops those fish move away from the back. Ended the riffles a deeper runs. And that's true with all the rivers So the Eel River is the slowest to clear because it's a long range which lot of forks through through timbered forest muddies up. The whole works there slides in the area, so that will be the last we'll hear about like the Mad River, even though that's a longer drainage clears a little quicker. Redwood Creek, the van Dusen on the Ile on. But of course, the Smith and the check. Oh, are the first clear in check. Oh, I don't know if there's a slide up there, but that's not projected to be fishable till the middle of the week. So Anyway. Make sure you call before you go up there or before you book a trip to get a general idea, because it could really happen Kenny's number to book a trip with him, or he'd be glad to give you info to 7074968671. "Steelhead on the north coast. A lot of people wait for that. Um, they wait for those big storms. The first big push of fish to come in. It really hasn't happened up to. Ah, about a week ago. You know, there was some minor storms, of course, the North Coast. The northwestern corner of California is a whole different climate and arrested his state. They get all that whether that misses the valley and goes up in Oregon and eventually Idaho. We don't get so they get a lot more rain, so, but there was a few storms up there. But that didn't bring in the amount officially thought back in December, But usually after January, 1st That's when it happens. If it does. Rain will Kenny Priest he's up there. He lived there. He guides there. He keeps an eye on things and I talked to him about that very situation yesterday. Any last weekend. We were expecting rain up North Open for the first big runs of steelhead. The Smith blew out the check. Oh, the eel all blew out. What's the latest wasn't a serious of storms and what's the situation now? Well, Yeah, it was definitely a serious of storms. There was two or three big ones that hit us and, you know, like predicted everything all the rivers blew out at one point or another, and where we are now is the only river that's really fishable or green is a Smith River. So since Sunday, the yield the Eel River south work, a deal and the check. Oh, they're all big and brown. So they're just they're just you know, too far out there still so we got a little bit of rain last night. You know which kind of its been kind of a yo yo all week so up, down, up down and the only one that survived that is Smith River. Okay, as usual. Okay, usual, And that's that's kind of what we predicted. Even though it's big. It was still green and you know people either punking or they're able to.

"We'll you know, we'll take. We'll take anything we could get. Are there many other many people on the river? You think there's not? There's I think three boats on the group that we're gonna do this morning, and there's not a lot of people out yet. You know, there's probably a few few boats below us. But your pressure is pretty light. Right now. Most of the people are north, so the chest goes in great shape. The Smith is in great shape, so the majority of the boats and the guides are north. So, but like, how is the family you mentioned earlier that a few fish were being caught, But, I mean, I would imagine there's a lot more boats on both those rivers. But I mean, is it still is every boat getting the fish? You know, I'm on the check. Oh, I would probably say for the most part. Yeah, the Smith probably half that. Um this has been tough this year. You know, there was a couple I saw a couple of buddies of mine got fish on two days ago. They each got one. So it's Yeah, I would say probably less than a fish a vote on this, Okay? Well, you know, we don't technically and theoretically, we don't start the steelhead season up there until January. January, 1st and after all, it is only the second. We're right on time, Right? Right time. Okay, Jenny. Well, listen, have one more question. I know the eels gonna stay blown out for Your 45 days anyway, before you can fish up by leg, But as far as the Smith and the check Oh, what do you predicting the fishable days for each of those rivers after this storms or serious of storms. Well, if if everything comes this planet looks like the Checco will probably fish on Friday. It looks like and then the Smith will be Thursday. That's kind of what it looks like right now. If if everything If the forecast holds, it could be the end of next week. It looks like when it's gonna happen. Okay. And they can call you if they if they want to double check for sure. Absolutely. Okay. Hey. Good luck today. Thanks, Bob. Thank you, Kenny. By Kenny Priest, Can you priest guide service got a drift boat or jet boat? Obviously is good guy here is his number 7074968671. "Me last night. Wait. Uh huh. He's on a plane and with him, he's he's got poison ivy all over himself. The poor guy. He got back that bath. Think it was Indiana or something like that. He was Back there doing something one of his deals and so he's scratching away at home, And in the meantime, Kenny priest from the North Coast joins us now to kind of update us on the legendary salmon fishing. On the Smith forever. Good morning, Kenny. Good morning, Bob. How you doing? Pretty good. Pretty good eye. You got some rain last week and I knew I know it blew the check Go out. Did a completely blow the Smith out as well. Well, it was close. I mean, it put it up to 11,000 CR best. Wishes, you know pretty close to being blown out, but you know, there's there's guys definitely fishing it so I wouldn't say about it was technically blown out because there was boats on it. Um, but like the chair like you said of the Checo the check. Oh, definitely blew out. It went bigger than than the Smith did. But Um Yeah, it was. It was on the verge for sure. Yeah. Uh, Here's here's the thing. People that fish, the Smith and the check. Oh, you get water like that. And as the water drops and anything we're used to a bunch of steelhead moving in the river a little bit later on, but that same scenario. Has a different effect on the salmon because a lot of salmon in the low flow conditions of the Smith River lay in these deep pools and wait for a rain. And when they do get the rain. It's bye bye. That would happen here. It's audio. Exactly. So you know we've been there's been enough water since you know. September October, probably October. You know, we've had a couple little bumps and flows and there's enough water to get those guys you know, at least in the middle of the river. Then a couple more little bumps in the flows puts him up a little bit farther. And then as soon as you have your significant puts, you know, probably three quarters or or more of the actual the size of the run in the river. And then once you have that first push You know, those fish are gone and you're not fishing for those anymore And you know you're hoping for for more to come out of the salt, basically, so that's that's kind of what happened on both rivers. So, but, you know, it just seemed so odd. You have that. Put that water. You think it would bring more fish in the river? To start their journey. Is there any evidence that that happened? Well, The evidence is very small Yesterday should have been the day on the Smith River. You know that flows were good. They were Oh, it's approaching to about 2000 this morning. So yesterday was probably about 35 cfs. You know, just starting declare you could run plugs in some spots. You could mostly a back bouncing show. You know, there was quite a few boats. You know, guys back down from the holes and it was tough, You know, I only heard a few fish costs. Wow. Um, did you here? Have you heard of any big fish caught lately? Um not not huge. I mean, I think I haven't heard of any 30 pounders. Um But I did see some fishing in the high twenties and, you know, £25 and stuff. But I didn't. I didn't hear of any huge fish caught yet. No, Kenny, we used to talk about the late November early December Smith Rivers, salmon and seemed like every year At least a couple of 50 pounders were caught. You think those days are over? You know, I don't think so. I think those fish You know, we just don't get it shot at him anymore. You know, I don't think I don't feel like the run has changed that much. Yeah, we had some rough ocean conditions and you know, like all the other salmon runs, it kind of, you know, declined. But you know, we're having had a real good shot of these fish and two or three years. If you think about that, you know, these fish have gone up river to spawn without being harassed by anglers, you know, and having some decent conditions, so You just don't know until you get a shot at them, you know, Starting deficient October or early November, you know, which used to be the typical season. We just We just haven't had that in quite a few years. So we just don't know and You know that overall, this is it's actually good for the fish. It's not good for us. It is good for the fish. Well, I mean, and that's okay. I mean, it's easy for us to take the poor fishing when we know it is good for the fish. But let me ask you this. What would create The ideal scenario for Smith River Salmon. For the salmon or for us. For the salmon. I'm no for us. Yeah, Never mind the salmon right now. It's our turn. Okay. Well, you mean typically, you know, we would get runs a Raines rather in in October. You know, middle to late October, we would get our first big rain. And then we would just get consistent rain just enough. Keep the river you know, above official level. You know where fish could just kind of come in and come in and come in? You know, just, you know, over time and set up everything comes in at one time when they get that first big push, because you know, they all got to go. So that's that's how it used to be. When I when I started fishing, and it was just you would get some late rains in October and then just consistent rains after that, Yeah, consistent flows. Consistent runs a fish and, you know, so the fish would stop and start and you could just you know, they would just meander their way up river rather than blow up river. So you gotta you know you could get a shot at him every day. Yeah. Okay, Kenny, will, you know? Let's hope it still happens. It could still happen. I know you're going to get a little weather later this week, I think or you have a chance at it, so we'll see what happens. Okay. And if it does, we'll check with you, so I appreciate it. That was good, Bob. Thanks for calling. Thank you. Can he Kenny priest who will take you out in a jet boat or his drift boat is number 7074968671. "Over, but you know that's hard to day. Yeah, well, we'll see what happens. Um, that whole thing is just kind of not manage very well anyway, And we all know that for a variety of reasons, but anyway What about albacore Kenny? The two fishing There was really good. So the wind came up yesterday. So the boat without yesterday? Um prior to that last week was really good here. And the water was closer closer closer every day. Like a last day it once was within 20 miles. And a lot numbers around a couple of days, but I mean, they are big. There's no Fisher averaging £20 and there's 20,000 up. It's incredible. And there's a few Lupin Cod as well here. Well, bluefin tuna off the coast of Eureka. I don't know if you know about well, you know, every year with these currents is they move close to shore. We hear of Dorado and striped Marlin this year was a couple of striped marlin. Scene anyway. So you just never know. What do you hear about Oppa Crescent City in Brookings. Well, Crescent City was actually just before a couple actually, yesterday was only 20 Miles. Yeah. And one of the charter boat yesterday afternoon before got more. Four big ones. It is, but it's gonna get a late again on Monday and Tuesday, April Martin. I think a lot of people from America tell the craft. I'm just kind of water is a lot closer and another fish can be real quick. When's the next bit of action going to occur on the coast? "The weather forecast? You know it. It looks good today, and I believe it's going to be decent tomorrow. But then I think the wind starts to pick up so Today was really today, which is why most of the boats went today. So today is the best day out of the weekend. I think it's like a 3 ft seas, So it's It's actually perfect. Yeah. Well, what was the size of the fish? You know they were £20 plus. So I don't need any peanuts. You know, And you could say the same thing about Fort Bragg. There catching some big fish there, too. You know, just 20 pounder is the most of them, And I think Actually, the weather is going to be a little bit better in Fort Bragg. I know people are going over the weekend out of Brad, especially on Sunday. I think the weather is going to be good Sunday. So You know, if you can't make it up here, you know, Fort Bragg is is the waters a little bit closer and play a better option. Yeah. Now, of course at Fort Bragg, you've got You may be an hour in line getting your boat launch two or more, especially when it's tuna time you That's why guys, you know they're launching their boats 234 o'clock in the morning. Yeah. Um, okay. The Let's start with the estuary or people still fishing the estuary for salmon of the Klamath River. Not really. Bob. I haven't heard of any boats out there. There's probably a couple of the you know the local guys. You come up here for the month and on their little boat, but I really heard of any scores out there. And actually fishing game counted zero adults as Faras. The quota goes for the week that ended Wednesday. They counted no fish being caught for the spit on the spit. Uh huh. What does that mean? Are all the fall run salmon already in the river. You know, it means a few things. They They weren't there every day. Um And when they were there, they actually didn't see anybody catch a fish. I'm assuming and you know, they typically, you know, Use an average system. Right? So if you got 10 yesterday, and none today, then I think they divided and you get five each day. That's kind of how they do it. Something similar to that. So I'm not sure how they came up with 0/7 days. I've never seen that before. Well, you know, it also depends on this if biologists or aid is a fisherman. Then they know enough to check the right tide. If if they're not a fisherman, they may go down there, and practically nobody is going to be fishing because nobody fishes on the bad tides. Right. But you know, at some point, I have to think that You quoted down. There's 194 fish number has been cut, Probably in a day at some point when there runs a good When it's a small quota like that, I would think they would be camped there every day during, you know when people are going to fish from from first light to dark. Yeah. Okay, well, it's just another mystery. Now, let's let's move up River last week, the most people we're not going up the Blue Creek Ah, because they didn't have to. There was fish spread up all the way from highway 101 all the way up Any change in that There has been a little bit of a change. More adult famine has finally come in so It looked like yesterday was kind of the day to be there. You know, the liners on the Lower river have been doing OK, You know it's not wide open for them, but they are getting a few. But yesterday it seemed like Were actually probably the day before they came in, and they were, you know, one of the riffles yesterday morning on the lower end and and the boats that didn't go past them. Really good, so they got limits of jacks and adults. Okay, Which is one of peace right? One of these. Yeah, but what I think is happening is you know we're so ingrained just to go go to Blue Creek goes from somewhere high that a lot of times you'll run over the fish. I think that's what happened to a lot of boats yesterday. They go right by him. Absolutely. And, you know, they've got to come to the Lower river to get to Blue Creek. So no, it's Ah. You see it all the time. Yeah. It will be interesting next week. Tio keep an eye on their accounts for the spit to see if it was just a freak or or nobody was really efficient because official was better in the river, but that does some strange It sounds like it wasn't like Lim fishing for everybody yesterday. For the boat, who stayed low. So the boats that stays low. There was a bunch of fish in a little river. So, like I said, a lot of the boats went above that, and he didn't do very well. Yeah. Now how the fish and for mostly other side Grifton. Yeah, it's almost exclusively side drifting. You get dragged, you know through some of the deeper holes, but it's mostly side cryptic. Okay? So nobody uses the plugs anymore. And you know, of course, the lower clan has got famous on home made spinners. Yeah, You know, now it's just It's really all about just side drifting bait or or soft pizzazz. You know, A lot of fish should be soft. How about steelhead Kenny? You know, I think it's I think it's slowed down a little bit. I think the steel has. I think the majority of the run have have moved through there still being caught. But it's not as hot and heavy as it Wass. You know a couple of weeks ago or even a week ago, so it seems like the salmon have started coming in a little bit and still had are moving out. Uh, that? Well, we'll We'll see next week there too. Because the minute we think the steelhead are gone. We get another wave of them. So we'll see. Yeah, just because they're gone on the lower end of the scene. They're gone for good. They're just you've just got to go a little bit higher for him. That's Kenny priest. Ah, a friend of mine and I went down the clamor down below, which picked them by Martin's very made a drift down in there, and it was really great because we were anchored. It is grist Drift boat on this long run this series of runs and riffles. And we look down a couple of 100 yards, and we saw some fish rising and slowly But surely Here comes the whole school of salmon. And the steelhead were mixed right in with him. And we were steelhead fishing didn't have no interest. We were fly fishing and gold bugs, and we started catching all these half pounders. But that was great to see that the school of fish come around the corner and worked their way up the Ribble that then the salmon started ruling. That's quite a spectacle when you can see something like that, Okay, so Kenya's number before I forget to book a trip. He uses a jet boat in the Lower river and adrift.

"The waters close enough out of Fort Bragg, and the weather is going to be good out of Eureka is just still too far. Well, way too far. Yeah, too far. Dilution albacore. Illusive albacore. So it looks like Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday, and a frag is where everybody had it. Thanks, Kenny. Hey, Bob, Any time talk to you soon as Kenny Priest up north, keeping an eye on things, boy, those steelhead isn't that something? Also interesting. You know, all the people on the river up there. They've never seen before, And that's happening all over the state. You know, we're talking about the mountains. And the litter and the piled up garbage bags and next to the dumpsters of illegal fires on all this. It's just we've never seen anything quite like it even taught Lick Tahoe this week says they've got a rise in search and rescue missions and Tara Because all these people they've never been there. Never been in a boat before coming up and renting these runabout Cesar big, expensive boats and they go out. And they don't know what they're doing. They go swimming in the middle of the leg. They get exhausted of the wind comes up another couple. I guess. One of them cut themselves with a propeller. Now, what are they doing in the water with the motor running normally come on. But that's what's happening all over the state, and then you get a bunch of inexperienced. Voters on the Klamath River. "Well, we want to find out anything about northwestern California We talked to Kenny Priest. And he's with us now. Good morning, Kenny. Morning, Bob. Well, I let's just start with this. Ah, the wind. I mean, I cannot believe of all the times we've talked this summer. How the wind has prevented both from getting out for salmon for halibut for albacore. I mean, you name it and this last week is no exception. Talked to us. First of all about salmon. What's happening off the coast? Well, it was kind of slow this week. You know, the weather was good when just started a couple days ago again, which kind of limited everybody But the salmon was just, you know, was really hitting miss. There was fish north and south but just little pockets of fish, So I don't think there's a ton of fish around. Find a lot of lot of bait like everybody else, You know, really good sign. But there's just not a big congregation of fish. But I will say when you get one. They're nice ones. You know these fissure averaging, you know, 15 £18. Oh, Boer. Yeah, that seems to be the case up and down the state. This is the year of the bigger fish, that's for sure. It is, which is which is good to see after a few years of, really, you know, cookie cutter size fish, so I think we're on the upswing there. So numbers numbers. They're still you know, even though there's occasional pods of fish here and there, that one of that's what makes it most difficult to get a handle. You know the overall number of fish in the area? Ah. And of course, you know the projection is not for a great run on a clam of this year, but we all hope that their projection is wrong again. That is going to be better than that. We know it's going to be. We'll have highlights, but it's still no way to predict it. Yeah. There isn't And you know everybody's everybody is really good at guessing game me. It's hard to say you know the fish out here. Are they climate? Nous a Sacramento remember fish? We don't know until you You know if you catch a hatchery, and you turn in the head, you really don't know which fish they are, but it seems this time of the year. The fish are You know, getting close to where they're going to go. So from what I hear, there's a river. Um there's fish off the mouth of the eel River, which is protected so you can't fish there. So I think the sacramental fish have basically, you know, gone gone down that way, gone down south and I think we're left here with the fish that are gonna go in their home home Waters and again. You were hoping for a better run. On the planet, I think were predicted. There's predicted to be 186,000 fish in the ocean. There are all coming back. Obviously. But you know, we're hoping that it's going to be better than they predict because we don't have a very big quota at all in the river. And there's a variety of reasons for that, and you know, and I know that there's Some that just aren't talked about, But at least for now, But we will talk about him in the future. Now speaking to the river itself, how you were doing pretty good. Every time you go out on the Astra, where you get a Fisher to understand that a slow down Yeah, the last two trips. I came up empty just for whatever reasons, there just seems to me. What's going on here is we're at the end of the spring run, and the fallen hasn't started. That's really what's going on here. Um, you know, the water has cooled down in the.

"Safety Administration and the council. Welcome back. Welcome back. We're waiting for Kurt. Poor career. Oh, to join us last week. If you recall he was the last one on the program, and we started talking to him about the salmon fishing up there. And one of his clients hooked up and they had to leave. It's not like you're troll along in a lake where you could just sit back and watch the fun. He's in the middle of current up in a river. You gotta run the boat and God help the person guide the fish. And I was driving, so I couldn't. Uh, Okay. Now, I'm thrilled about ready just about ready to official. Just ready to hook up again. Now about that fish you hook last week when you have to go. Did you land that fish? Gloria. Yeah, but it was a steal that it wasn't a seven. Okay. How big are the steelhead running? Another little We've officially the red block area. They're quite well, but we have got a couple in a £5 range, but most of the 16 18 inches That's more like the typical Sacramento River steal it, huh? Not really because later in the season, and even now we'll get him in the consistently around the event. Germany If there's a lot going, get ready, guys. Uh, you bet your money when there are no more standing there in the river. More steel had come up. You know, Now you're catching what a couple of day. Proficient out of Corning today, I thought I'd come out and try. Try Tio Fish it today only because there was a lot going on up north, so I figured Well, I'll try it. So that works. Morning. Guys going, Okay? Right. Drifted, drifted eggs right now. So you're catching two salmon today and maybe a handful of steel it three or four steelhead? Pretty much Okay. Now, you mentioned yesterday that the biologists say there's plenty of those small steal it in the river, and it doesn't hurt the fishery to keep him. No, you can keep couple to each. That's why they want they actually kind of want you to keep up to be honest video. That's kind of a strange thing. So okay, Well, good luck will find out next week. How you did it, Corning? Kurt, Thanks for calling it appreciate it. You got it, Bob. Thank you very much, Ok. Bye bye. Third quarter career or sack River guide. Here's a number to book a trip 806 704448 If it slows down a little bit up above. He's going to go. He's going to go find new fish. I guarantee you I was going to tell you earlier talk to Kenny Priest last night about the estuary of the Klamath River, he says. It's still plugging right along. You can get a couple of fish a day. Two or three fish. You know, you've got a fish. The beginning of the outgoing tide. That is the best fishing when that current starts to move out the mouth. That's when the fish move in, and I'll tell you if you've never done that is such a fun type of fishing. I did it for years and years. Of course, like anything. You you don't go where you used to a cz much and you do new things. But I used to take my 12 foot aluminum boat up there and put it in and go down In those days we fished all spinners. We fished spinners we would anchor Just above where the Klamath River runs into the ocean, and this fish would come in and when they would hit that spinner well, I mean, that's his fresher fish is you, Khun! Give I mean, you're a couple 100 yards or 100 yards from the ocean and the salmon comes in, and they're aggressive, and they smacked that lure out. The average sized back then was about £12 they were fat and they were taking all over that. We're good. It was really fun Fishing. You're looking in back E at the old town, a wreck. Wow, Right on the waterfront. There a lot of history there. So that's what Kenny priest is doing right now. Every day he's guiding out there and they're getting their fish every day. But you've got a fish, the tides the further up the river, the water is warmer. But the few people up there are getting a few fish, but that warm water of course, you know that kills salmon fishing everywhere. But up at the Klamath. They've just they've just kind of evolved into surviving and that warmer water. So for the warm water up there, you're probably able to catch a few more fish than you would like in the Sacramento City limits, so There's salmon to be had. You just have to know where to look. Uh, As for the upcoming week, I would look for more salmon to move into the system. We are due. For Ah, School of fish to move up. I'll bet by next week we'll have that to talk about have a good and safe week, everyone.

"I talked to Kenny priest up north about the the Smith in the check go and everything else because of this is just about the time the first of the winter steelhead come in any it looks like even though you weren't slated to get a whole bunch of rain in a party your coast mostly to the south I guess you got a little bit more than everybody was expecting I mean speaking of the Smith river especially north under check go on on up in Oregon on sounds like they had a lot more than they bargained for yeah we were I think you were supposed to get you know two to three inches of snow gonna go up a few feet but it was supposed to be first of all we can play with the check go get it go up a little bit you don't get close to non visual but but also more furtive predicted to see first of all and looking at those forecasts those river forecast right now is there everything is blown out the Smith is just about sixteen feet on the home goodness yeah so it was supposed to be around eleven or twelve so they kind of blew that one and it's the right thing so they got a lot more rain though and was predicted mostly to our door so the Czecho god god buku amounts of water as well then a chuckle got hammered yet a couple days ago it was predicted the stay under five thousand CFS which is your which is visible it may have been a little bit off color but over the state Mister ball yeah I like it but the snow was predicted to stay under wraps and wait just they they just got hammered up there well you know this here we are the middle of December that is usually when the first runs of steel head you hope come in to many of these rivers a storm like this just might make them come up I think this will get it I think this is going to kick it off on the on the rivers up there you know December is typically a transition time you know when you.

"Every Saturday from five day right here on KFI fifteen thirty AM and ninety three point one FM. Well, you know, after the first of January, we look to northwestern California for steelhead, if you don't steelhead fish, I understand because it's the worst weather of the year, the coldest weather the year, the colder water of the year, and you Hooker steelhead, and you forget all that. And you'll come back for life. What it does to you? Well, something's not right on the north coast here because it's just not happening especially on the Smith and Chet go. However, here's a report from Kenny priest who did find we'll give you kind of a general idea what's going on with all these rivers. That's all about the change. Now with the storm. That's moving into California today, if it ever gets here, and so keep that in mind, but here's what's happening up to the moment. Kenny, I hear that the Smith and the check go just don't have enough water to sustain any kind of fishing. But what about the other rivers? Let like we talked about the mad coming into shape. Maybe last week and what happened there? Yeah. You'd come in shape it came into shape. Doc green. And now, I am not something not red hot. But you guys getting them from the boats. No, it's not wide open. But it's decent. Yeah. And how often really steelhead fishing wide open? No. Yeah. Yeah. So anyway. So that's one river. So I would I would imagine others like Redwood creek and everything they don't have enough water to maintain anything. Creeks a little low. You did not having rain. On the software shape. Southwark official last weekend. The mainstream came in about ten days ago. And it's actually deficient has been good. I've been on. Laura ended. Three four. Before chances or three. All the fish that. I've seen. You know, they're big and bright typical typical ill river fish. So it's been okay. You know? And there's a lot of others. I will say that. I'm hearing more about half pounders than I normally do on the. I didn't catch as many adults because there are so many half hours. I honestly think that you can't get them to. So these fresher. What what are they running like seven to twelve pounds, Kenny I yeah. At least seventy be small one. Obviously, they're they're pretty healthy fish. You know, what I saw the southbound yesterday that sea lice? Movin moving pretty quickly. Yeah. So it was was it a robot? Is that what you're doing? We gotta both on and on plucks. So Sidra thing as well as plugs. Okay. Well, that's that's good news. When you can you have a choice. It is. Yeah. So it's really easy to finish pretty wide open. You can handle on votes in places where you could you could address and there's places where if you wanna Colclough you can't. So it's, you know, it's it's good fishing. It's it's good for everybody. Now, what were you on the south fork of the main stem? I was on the makes them so on the lower end of the mainstream around. Okay. Okay. So you're way down to main stem. I'm waiting on the main center close to home. I love it. Where you're just getting off the river now, and you're caught some fish today. This. I guess this is pretty standard for the eel. You know, going into the second week in January. Absolutely. I think we're right on track their Christian southfork last weekend. And it seemed like a lot of fish word up there yet. But then as soon as the mainstream came in, you know, there was some fish around there. Few days later, like I said, they were catching fish. We'll see lies on the south fork. So I think I'm a pretty good push fish came through there. Just you know within the last week or so. Yeah. Well, that's that's good. Because usually when that happens, even though the conditions aren't best. There's gonna be enough fish spread throughout river. You got a chance to catch one now. And then absolutely. This upcoming storm looks like it's going to blow out everything on the coast. You think? Yeah. Yeah. It's forecast to to including the chat. Go get pretty big need, you know, pretty typical. But it's going to be the end of the into the river for a little while and probably the end of the south works a little while. But then the Chad Smith going to get much is which is good because they've been, you know, they'd be in for a long time without water as Kenny priest your writes, an article, and he's got a guide service with the same name fishing. The north coast dot com is number seven seven four nine six eight six seven one why talked to money Smith whose home water is Don Pedro reservoir. What's going on down there Monte you haven't been out since Christmas? But before Christmas you have some pretty good action on Don Pedro for rainbows. First of all how deep were they what were you doing to catch him? Actually Bob's last time. It was actually the day after Christmas K as the twenty six. You know at that time the water was about fifty. Degrees in rented lead core Roberts to service several weeks some guys down riggers, and that's going say that. A waste of time. But you know, I run to lead Gorod. We beat around pretty fast. Mice booze is. Got speedy scientists to. Temperatures Fisher still could he acted and we've had tremendous amount of luck. You know? I mean the day after Christmas they voted rainbows and a half a dozen come off. And I knew we had a half the strikes. Yeah. How big was the fish money? You know, twelve thirteen inches. But you know, we're getting them up to sixteen seventeen inches ensure you'll get you know, or two or three. And how how deep you feel. They were. Well, we're running anywhere. So. Three and a half about five colors. Okay. So we'll probably run anywhere from ten to thirteen fourteen feet. You could we're we're traveling two and a half three miles an hour. So then let's not fallen that for. Yeah. Right. What do you expect? Here. We got we've had some cold weather. I mean, you can catch fish, maybe not trolling that fast. But what do you expect in the next few weeks up there? I expect to stay the same. And yeah, I'm gonna do because I've got two trips coming up, and you're gonna have to slow out all try I'll try trailing fact and just to see and if that doesn't work then you take a look at the water temperature. And if it's a round fifty that's when these fish need to have your presentation slowed down. Yeah. Flashers and a Nyquil read something that doesn't require a fast, call money Smith and a gold country guide service officials all the mother lode lakes, but specifically Don Pedro new Malone. His number two zero nine five eight one four seven three four here. Again, you know, we here we've got a slow it down. We've got to slow it down. But in in lakes, where there's wild trout, and Don Pedro has a fair amount of wild trout in it because that's where the two Allah comes in for crying out loud. But you know, Shasta is another one it's got a Sacramento the McCloud river squawk Rican the pit, and there's wild trout and all those and in the lake itself. They are more apt to hit a fast trolled lure in the winter. Even though it may not be the best technique because you know, if you're if you're like most people, you're gonna go. Putt. Putt. Putt going real slow trying to entice these trout, then you could tired of going putt. Putt putt. And you wanna troll faster? And so you give that a try and then surprisingly enough, boom. You get a couple of nights fish. But usually, it's not the preferred method. Yeah. When when the water gets real cold, but it can happen like with planet. Fish like we mentioned earlier at at Comanche. Even then a fast troll lure will work. Good once in a while. But overall, the best method right now is slow troll was something near the surface. So every lake is just a little different after the break. Don pagan Elliot will tell us about a fishing in the city program today and his trip last week fishing jumbo minnows for big bass, I'm Christina Dont'a..
