"Is it, though like what what? What is our endgame here like? DO WE WANNA million viewers to millions of you? You know what I mean right like one hundred and fifty thousand people really that many fucking people. yeah, so the night. One ratings were seven, hundred, ninety, two thousand. Four an exte-. And A had seven, hundred, forty, eight thousand. Fifty thousand whenever I'm an on to. Seven hundred and fifty nine thousand exte-. In a head seven, hundred fifteen thousand. Again like you said these are close rate. These are close numbers. It's not like they're blowing the modern water and I think I would love to watch this flip flop in I think either one of these close numbers. That doesn't mean anyone really lost right because that means that both of these. Shows are staying around the same area of ratings. Even her holy. Shit yeah, and that's what fucking matters I don't give a shit about they give a shit about the rating where I don't really care if AWB's t unless like you said it starts hitting. Three hundred thousand more people four hundred thousand more people then I'll give a fuck when they're staying within fifty to one hundred and fifty thousand people. Watching live that day you know. And and it's just how I agree with you. One hundred percent see that's it's not really a ratings war. Are Blowing somebody out of the water. All right, so we're on the topic, my favorite part of fighter festival. Would you guys watched it all of it right well, we're going to go into it. We're going to go. With the results in the second nick, what were you about? One thing I like is that I read that okay? You have wwe saying you know. They had this amount of ratings and between eighteen forty nine. They had the majority of their viewers that weren't in that demographic so to me. That's viewers below the age of eighteen, so if they had a more than if they had more viewers below the age of eighteen that to me, that's one thing that's kind of bothered me over the last couple of years is that the average age of the Lisa wwe viewer is older, but that to me is saying that you're having more of that younger generation getting involved with it. And the fact that they're getting involved with the product like annex, t that to me is is a bigger win the ratings overall because that's showing that these younger generation is getting into it again, and as long as you keep building and building, then that that audience is going to grow so I I liked that stat more than the the numbers themselves. You get the kids you get the parents you get the parents. You know that's that's. That's John Saito's Bob. Dealer for ten years. He pandered to little. Then they bought the shirts and everything Yup as soon as he started. Pandering to the kids is when all the adults rely seeing. Uh Soaks. Kids are lying. All right. Talks about it. "You must wear the same brand of shoes. Or what is this silly? It's just a it's insecurity to me. I old school guys who absolutely eight shit over a presentation. I find it embarrassing sometimes because it's very first of all constantly complaining about something that one cannot affect that one problem. One cannot solve his mindless, absolutely stressful. It takes years off your life and the other option is changed the damn channel. Don't watch. Right. They read a book. What what's Kenny omega documentary? You meant like that. There you go. Yeah. Hey, look, are you getting are you having fun in the I don't know what you're doing there behind the scenes exactly at the Awa. But and the interactions you have or you're involved in selecting or are helping signed new talent have you found that to be rewarding because I love that part of. Yeah. You know, there are there are these diamond in the rough talents that I just wanna share with the world. And there are people that haven't been discovered. And now that I have a little bit of power to, you know, suggest a Tony in suggested the guys I have this person who says so special and they deserve that bigger stage and to give them that opportunity and given the really a life changing opportunity because not only do they get to perform their craft in their in their love in front of a larger fan base in a more worldwide international fan base. Now, they're gonna make a little bit of money doing it too. And now, you know, they don't have to you know, work three jobs on the side. And and you know, they can afford to feed themselves properly. This is all stuff, right? You know, I for the the masters of the craft or people that have the potential do something really special in the business. You know to give them that opportunity. It's it's very. Fulfilling and right now for me. I I look so much more forward to seeing with these new towns do way more so than what I'm going to do in the ring. And I'm not sure if that's if that's bad, but I just feel like I wanna say feel like Santa Claus. But it's it's just that old adage where it's you it feels better to give them to receive. And I am so looking forward so excited to see this new wave this new influx of talent that has never some of which have never ever been to America. They've never left their home country or they've never left their city. And now they're gonna be thrust into this situation where they're performing in front of, you know, ten fourteen twenty thousand people, and I'm hoping that you know, they have they make as big of a fan out of you know, our fan bases. They have with me. And I just can't wait. It's super exciting for me. So that that process to me, no stress whatsoever involved with that. You know, it's a little things the things that you don't even think about that that that gets to be different. Of course, this is like the first time I've ever been involved with a real upstart company, and I stress real because I've I've heard the song and dance a million times before four where a guy will say this company one in. Or the first time is actually happened. But yet. The talent selection process, though, Superfund super exciting. And we've got so many announcements coming up and just everyone's I look forward to those. Stay tuned. It's going to be fun. Kenny, I think thanks for per chat. With me today. I'm glad I didn't know we're going to do this good things happen. Sometimes they're not playing. And this is this is one of them. "That's important too. As we know in this business. I watched this morning as we're recording. This ironically, I watched your documentary, I was sent a copy of it competence. -ality claws attached. Of course. But I tell you. I thought your documentary was the most infra Specht of unique presentation of any pro wrestling documentary I'd ever say, wow. And they're quite a number. Thank you. I seen a lot of a well the thing about Kenny is these the subject matter of the building lovers and your relationship. Kota bucci. I still think is new news to some people because you know, we live in our little world and the hard course, the internet guys the social media fans so forth. They they know separate for you. And I do oftentimes seemingly anyway absolute. Yes. So I just think that the story is so contemporary. I love the the quality the, you know, I let the things he said about equal pay Minton women jobs respect to relationships. We're moving on to a new to new world here. And I think part of the accepting these unique relationships unique to my world is the fact that it also lands to us treating others of different skin color different. Ethnicities different religions, equal and. Think the end of the day. That's kind of what I got out of your documentary. We all should strive harder to be tolerant and treat everybody equal with respect. And I like, it wasn't a movie, buddy. Learn about new headlock. I didn't learn about a new secret hold fanning. Yeah. I really was proudly. Yes. But together, it was very well edited. Very good. Look a big time. La anybody that has seen it early should. And with that said in my solicit endorsement cap, Ken other say it how can people how they going to see the same Kinney? Okay. Well, the actual air date is on the day of this recording. It is to release a little more than twenty four hours. So tomorrow tomorrow in the evening, I believe at seven PM on eastern, and it's going to be released on March the twenty cents seventh. Yes there. So. Yeah. It will be released on March twenty seventh on TSN. Of course that is a candidate sports station. However, I am currently investigating ways to have this accessible to fans, and of course, fans from all other countries as well. And I should have some very. Interesting news in the upcoming weeks about something very very cool and very unique and the special event for for fans that may may or may not have seen this original airing of the documentary, but I'm going to bring something special to I don't want to say too much, but possibly to double or nothing. So. Oh, yeah. One of the great things that hooked me as a kid, but wrestling was episode nature that was produced. It was a simple story to Ballo largely organic and the the non wrestling content was unscripted and sustain you know, what I mean. Yeah..

"Respective sport, or or type of sports entertainment. So I I really believe that the fact that Chicago fans are very uninhibited. And they don't mind let you know when they're having a great time. Right. And they equally don't mind let you know. They're not having a great time. And you can't ask for anything better from your audience in my Kenny is honesty, of course, be honest with because we wanna we wanna please you the consumer begun a nudge to the direction you want to travel, and I think that's really important. I don't think enough guys listen well to hear what the audience has warning. And this will be my match, and we both know that sometimes you got to go off script do something that they're buying of something that she had planned previously. Absolutely. And insecure goes great proving grounds for into to place that kind of environment. Like, you said they will. At you know, exactly what having a great time to let you know when they're displeased with something. And you know, it's a very genuine reaction, which is the best part. Nothing. Feels like they're just doing it to do it there if they're they're having fun not only to hear it. But you feel it. It's a different kind of energy. And and it comes across his very organic. Which is again, what made all in fun would made the this comic con fun. And heck if we when we do all in two or or, you know, get to be named title of his show. Hopefully, you know, the the reaction will be indicative of how that show is to your or give it very organic fan base, your personally, and and the and the contingent seems to have a very loyal passionate, and I don't wanna say young fan base. But the really cut our, but indicates law their passion and their back that they're not they're not inevitably feelings known. I like the energy going into say the all in event was amazing. I got there toward the end of it that I had. Football game to go to that day. So, you know, guys priorities. Understood. Yeah. So, but I really I really loved that atmosphere and all land, I think we're gonna see something even bigger in Las Vegas in may which is going to be really exciting to be part of England. I feel it's going to be a really cool meeting place for people that are traveling far and wide to watch a very high quality pro wrestling show and people that are eager to see something new and different. And I think, you know, everyone there is is fixing to have a great time Las Vegas. I mean, you'd be hard pressed to find.

"You and checkout slobber knocker my life in resting the audio version from audible. You know, I didn't interviews that we did from the studios, and I guess Toronto. Joining us, Kenny how are you doing? Well. How about yourself? I'm good. I'm good. Hey before we started recording. I touch base about your experience in Chicago at your very first comic time, which I found to be a little bit surprising because I would think that comic cons and the folks that draws it would be right down your alley. Oh, absolutely. I mean, we had stars for some of my favorite television. Dramas? We had some my favorite comics a hole artists alley with a ton of nice, cool pictures and paintings costs play video games. It. It really was something that I would have loved to have spent a weekend just just looking at. But you know, of course, we had our lines. And we had you know, whole bunch of cool friendly faces and fans come and say, hi, so we were busy from start to finish. But you know, just looking around and seeing the sights and sounds like the place to be and it was a lot of fun. The awesome pretty. Social media the same like in Conrad Thompson. So me, he's he was extolling the virtues of that event. It looked like a w starting made a nice impact and had their fair share of fans there. I mean, it was really cool like I had seen not only merchandise that was just released. But I was seeing shirts that were approaching the table that I hadn't even seen the designs of yet. That's how quick to act these fans work, and you know, the, progressing tease guys. Were there the vendors were there? They're saying they are selling out of everything all sizes. They had to sell us right off the mannequins we had different types of merchandise. No, the the plus she's the gym bags hoodies. Everything was out the window and just the the amount of support and just the positive energy Chicago's been, you know, I felt that energy at all in and then to feel it again to get another taste of it at this comic on it just really sort of solidified. The Kogyo is is a great place for professional wrestling. Oh, man. I tell you the of all the years I've been in a quirky business. I think. The one night in Chicago in two thousand seven I remember it very forever is because I was announced as the final member of the two thousand seven hall of fame class and WWE and all the the quote, info big-time guy said already been named. So I don't know if I was at token or see what safe anybody is JR gets crickets, I wasn't always most Puffer gun that company, by the way. But nonetheless, another story for another time. I got a standing ovation that brought me to tears, and they wouldn't stop cheering. And it was the most amazing feeling the most amazing moment to my professional career of the outpouring because I I was as -solutely not expecting it. So those kind of surprises are really cool and Chicago's great for that. They they've been big wrestling town since the days of the Chicago amphitheater, and when dick bruiser the crusher ups. Yeah. I mean, they have that history with professor wrestling, and they have a very deep sports background as well. They have every major ethnic team presented in Chicago. So I think it's. They know how to show their appreciation. They ought to have fun in those are very important factors to to developing a very cool van base in a great environment for for cheering on your.

And he doesn't need the money. He can do what he wants and not worry about losing to pay day because he doesn't need the payday. Don't like that scenario. There's not a good question. Well, you know when Bill worked was running WCW, we work there. I I I still say to this day. I taught me a lot about the psychology of wrestling is the time to talk to me about why he wanted me to say things, which I always appreciated because no other Balsam I never did that they said go out and talk, but he explained it to me. And so I I did learn a lot during this time. They're so you're right about him being volatile. God he's very competitive, very bully bullyish. Any any I on the podcast here while back. He's a sharp attack. You really really isn't too until he starts getting often politics religious, man. I came to hang in fall religion this show. "But I don't I don't think we did. I think we would you know, you talked about forty five minutes through. I think we went forty five minutes through without a break. I remember that seemingly to I agree with you. I believe that lot of wrestling shows. New Ruge Java smartening up their audience and take out of the moment. Yeah. Going to commercial break and the always do it after a big spot. Right. Because they will just say who stay tuned, then they what's going on in the commercial break in a box. So that concept dead yard, see it. Right. I just think that you know, you would never leave a well. Two and two on the matter and we'll be right back, right? Where are you going sooner at the goal line person goal? And let's hear this from Comcast. Yeah. And here's another word from bony bread. Then you do a live rate over the game. Turn heel. So, but anyway, I think some some people are missing nothing. That's that not going to commercial breaks gave our show a better chance to be good. And I think everybody in the ring I think the mid ninety I think of mistaken, the midnight express, some fantastic's rock and roll one had a match their midnight and fantastic's. I'm just doing this by memory. Me too. But that was the Arroyo of on the show, wrestling Jesus cranny boy. Special Cigna, loaded how much fun that you have in Chicago last weekend. It was my first ever comic. Con in a big. I'm a big comic book guy, although none of the level of Jim cornet. But I'm a big comic book guy. And so it was it was thrilling for me, Eric, and I did our show the first day on Friday that night and then on Saturday, we we had a little booth on the on the floor and just be able to meet a love. I really do. I really enjoyed talking to wrestling fans because I'm the fan like they are hearing great stories, and you know, they always stroke your ego and say, you know, you're the voice of my childhood..

Tony big day for us on thirty one years ago as we were talking before I went on the air, we won't on the air. God dang. I got depressed assaults thirty years ago. How are you Bashar? Well, Jim first of all it's great talking to you. And you know, when we talked off the air us thirty one years. Holy hell, man. It's it's been a long time. But yeah, that was a memorable night. I think memorable. I'd in in pro wrestling, really, you think about or a memorable day in pro wrestling because of of the accomplishments we made and the fact that I guess you and I worked together for the first time. Yeah. And that was a nasty road through the Booker folks and eight made the call on who's going to do the broadcast. I don't know that that call made foot dusty on David Crockett's Christmas list. But nonetheless, he put to play by play guys together who had never worked with each other before on a live show not allowed to tape live live no net. And because he said to me after the fact years later on who's gonna work baby. I news gonna work. I'm a genius. So there you go. So we should Technet for granted, man. You know, all those years leaving here in Oklahoma. And watching basketball was big during luck. It is now March madness, right? And so much of March madness seem to come from the ACC breaking that down come from North Carolina recognize down come from Greensboro. That was the hell will deal for sports fan to be wondering around the the the hallowed halls, Greensboro Coliseum. You've been there many times. Right. Oh, yeah. There's a matter of fact you with their as a wrestling fan Medicare. For me as a wrestling fan to be at the Greensboro Coliseum because sold so many matches back in the seventies about, you know, ten years prior to that. And I just I was it was great, man. It was it was great being. There was a great day. Did you start the this is awesome chant in Greensboro? As a fan or you still God it. I'm only fourteen but used to God. I'm. Credit for that lane thing. Lord. Well, everybody's got their passions. They freshman different ways. So we we just folks. Sometimes it's kind of funny have since our as they said on my one of my favorite movies, ever strikes. Lighten up Francis. The flare, you know, the thing about that clash one whom we won't other stuff. But Rick flair really anointed staying in that forty five minute draw. And I think that that was big thing for sting's career that might have been second only to winning the well that was can use the term he's coming out party. And when I go back, and actually I have gone back to watch that match sting stepped up, man. Of course, you know, obviously when you're wrestling RIC flair he knows what to do. He knows how to make his star. And I get all that sting really stepped up. And it was a big moment for him in even though they had, you know, if you recall remember the judges that day, Gary, sandy, Scott. "Hey, I've back in the day. There would be somebody in that battle. That would give a couple of nice chops to to those boys from Saturday Night Live, just let them know. Hey, this ain't as easy. She think it might be. So I don't know if it helps them promotion or not it helps inasmuch as getting media attention for those in the media that will cover it. I don't know how hot a story it is. But also don't watch Saturday Night Live any longer. So that will tell you where I am on this deal thought drew McIntyre had a big night on Monday night. I sit on Twitter that I thought he was the future of the WWE. I think drew McIntyre will be WWE champion. And I think you'll have a championship at the latest by wrestlemainia next year in Tampa. He's big good-looking athlete. It can he can he can pair up with anybody match up with anybody. He's a pretty much a, oh, you know, he's the model of Anka what visit man likes an athlete big. He six three six four six five. Whatever he is. Hello, good guy, reliable. Smart. Skilled and physical. Good guy. He's been gifts in the show. Check out the archives. Great energy. Thanks to him. Still. Thank the current angle. Farewell tour should be a big deal. Wrestlemainia what he's done for the company is amazing of heard somebody say, well, he's being punished by heaven work in Barron courtroom cause of insulin embarrassing because Kurt went to TNA that may be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard seriously. I just believe you have a different generation of decision makers and writers and contributors that don't really quite understand how important Bill medicine nineteen ninety six. Truly is. But you think if you respect to the business more studied it more was more of a student of the game. "Call us block. No sorry. I learned not to believe much about what set about Kenny omega. Anyway. And I'm is leading this one play out because this guys had a contract. But then it magically was going to expire WWE was interested. But then he still had the contra I there's just been so much emission formation in my mind. Kenny omega that's gone out there that I just sit back and let it play out now. Yeah. I I'm I'm in the same boat when it comes to Kenny. I'm a little skeptical of some of the information that gets out, and and it's sort of. Let's wait. Let's wait and watch it play out smart for him. You know, I I'm not I'm not critical. I'm just saying in the chairman I'm in with him. Yes. There you go. There you go. Art Jason anything else you want to wrap up with. Oh, man. I think we covered a lot of ground. I'm trying to think of anything we really missed out on. But good questions from people today, even the one, but you know, moving people around just we'd be here for eternity. And I I don't think we would ever be able to speak again, if we get the proper amount of time to that. But I'll just just to give that person one. I'll say I'd love to see some Joe in new Japan. I think that would be really fun. That's a good call. Yeah. That's a good call acad- like to see some Ocho and Awa too. And I don't even know what AWS going to be whatever. But I'm happy. But the thing is I'm happy. Joe and WWE too. That's the thing is I don't I don't think he's I think he got a good push last year. And I think you'll probably get another good push at some point. And he's in the mix. And my biggest disappointment is. I just want to see him have a run with with the university of WB title at some point. I want him to be I'm not I'm not like for gifting golden watches, two wrestlers. But I think of all of his peers in the tracker could be had in the late started got in WWE, and the fact that I think it would be a good, title rain. Good for business and good for his good for his drawing. Power in good for whoever beat him alternately for all those reasons and more. I I'd like to see him have a Ron at some point with the WWE title and have that on his resume. I think he deserves to be in that class. I again, I I push back against the idea that everybody who's been around for fifteen years you get a world title run. But I think Joe is passes the threshold where where where I'm willing to say, I I think he's someone who makes sense for business, and I just hope. Works out that he gets that. I I agree. And I would also like to question. What happens in Todd Morton's world? Were that wasn't horrify. Oh, I know. Yeah. Well, I you can take it up with Todd on Twitter. I may have to guess Jason speak in which people they can follow you on social media and give another plug for your for your podcasts in your website. Yes. It's very exciting at pro wrestling net. It's that time of year. We're probably drop a little bit of football playoff tweets. But most for the most part wrestling wrestling and nothing but wrestling so help you God. And you can follow.

"She is the guy, you know, like I and the this, you know, they may do it in this tournament because I think it, you know, the, I think, quota, boo. She's going to beat Kenny omega in in the final night. That's going to be a big moment in the tournament. And then I'll setup setup. Bucci. A bushy and Kenny omega title match for some point. And you know, it's, it's time to go all the way with Koto Boucher. He's just he's just so damn good than touching Naito beat Tomohiro Ishii. This was just fantastic one of the best few match of the tournament and of the year issues. So. Great. I also is amused how throughout the match, like the crowd was goodly with Naito throughout and issue. Get these hope spots firing back on the crowd would just chat for Naito instead. And then after issue loses and he's limping to the back, they finally had for she and it's like, oh, now you're nice to the guy after after all this, I thought, you know, like you, you know, I wanted to. I wanted to become issues manager and bad mouth. The fans for that one. So the main about was was Kenny omega beating Hiroki Goto and night four was the best out of the tournament so far, my opinion. And this was another awesome match after the Naito issue. Classic Alec Naito Nishi better, but Goto was another match with your caliber performance. Like a lot of the crowd was pine Goto, which I found interesting to see crowds citing throw Megan. He's the champion expected that with Naito not so much with Goto and they just went off from the beginning. There's this ridiculous body Sam on the hardwood St. stands at just look brutal omega, does the moon saw in the crowd Goethe's been super-motivated of late and he's having his best matches in in a few years between this and the outgoing match that you she match would come later Omegas getting protected strongly until the time comes for front of the lose to set up a title match after the match omega said, he's right up there with any other athlete in the world and for those who didn't watch name three names on. So just guessing your head who will make would name his template for the best athletes in the world today. So as list of the three names that he's up there with Tiger Woods, Larry Bird and Michael Jackson. So Hetty evidently about the biggest. Of sorts. That's great. So night five was sort of j white beating Michael Algan j. whites big, run continuous. They're putting him over much stronger than expected in this first g one from Australia and standpoint, really, he may be the biggest story of the tournament thus far. As far as new Japan, a appearing that they want elevate him into the into the top group. He won his first three matches against the three toughest wrestlers of the draw. So either someone's winning this block with the highest, the high with high point total or or weight's going to be losing some surprising people down the stretch. I'll be right back. Then manure Suzuki beat Yoshihashi with the the Gotch piledriver. Port Yoshiaki gets buried even by the announcers, Kevin Kelly during this match asks rocky Romero fios she can do it and rocky goes, I don't think he has the tools, just dumb guts and then six minutes, and they're like, well, you got to give credit for lasting this long. He didn't last much longer after that. Then evil one over Tokyo mock bay. And then Hershey time Hashi beat bad luck followed by the queue. This continue the trend of massive interference in the dog into matches. Although at least here we had a more satisfying finish after the Regis interference were vegetables, gave them the finger and then refused to count and disqualified folly which felt appropriate after all the interference on the main of night..
