"Take that i hated was that he is more mint and he is a starting quarterback. Byu many said if you think playing quarterback in york jetsons pressure thinking about being more men and being the starting quarterback for byu announced what on earth take is this like all the the the school has of course like steve young like ziggy ansah. Much else like what are we talking about so I hated that. Say but it is always interesting when you guys like. Even quinn liners is a guy who grew up in. Wisconsin went to wisconsin whitewater. They're going to be in a whole new area. This was a big concern with justin. Herbert lists year. He grew up ten miles within ten miles of the stadium in oregon. Eugene and it was questions ketley he's never been outside of that like he's only known this very small he's going to be you know now he's in l. a. And you lights up. There's no problems But going the drivers. Like kenneth guy like really live function outside of his mormon from utah as the whole different ballgame. He's totally random fucking. He's gonna win in new york with literally more women than men in this city right so this gonna be his ass off. I just wanted to stay fucking folks. You know what. I mean like if you know what soaking or docking as the mormons would say he's gonna have opportunity to do that a lot. I just don't want the city to be too big for him. There's a lot of. I was in that locker room when they were is who were coming from. Louisiana bum fucked texas different parts of alabama stressed out all way they were there from really rural parts of the south man. When they got to the city they didn't. They couldn't compute why they were so many people they all thought manhattan was just new york. Five fucking boroughs. you know. They don't understand why you gotta pay to go across the bridge. That honest obsession with jay z pizza. They don't like the fact that everybody's my own fucking like when you walk down. The sidewalk is ten thousand people walking right at you. They're used to having space. That used to be fresh air. It understand the trash on the floor. They don't so being able to. Why you play for the new york jets but you fucked play new jersey all this all this angst all this nonsense. They take it in and a lot of these guys. They shall up and they bubble up. Especially if you're not playing well especially when the expectation for you to be a part of the organization is for you to play. Well team move forward. You take all that ends get into account. Some of these guys don't last in the big city because a lot of a lot of times when moving around the city. They're not looking at people that talk like if anything people that are staying that look like. Why are you fucking here with this. Country has accident. A why do you sound like you're from the mountains of in wyoming like so these young guys if you don't have a locker room or people in place to kind of push these kids along because there are kids. Stephen say they're not they're not thirty. Twenty five twenty seven year old thirty two year old guys. These kids are still twenty. One twenty two years old nephew point never left the state nonetheless they go back. You know the the wherever. They fought their firm. So when you take a kid. Like zack wilson. Wiz more from byu. Who has had success in his own backyard. And now you put them into the new york media and in a new york state of mind you better have a handler. You better have something for this kid. They of distress. Because i i've seen it. I was there with gina. Smith walked to the locker room. I was there when you know when when mark sanchez day marseille was more built for it because he was coming from. La he's turned historic guy. But i've seen young guys. I i was there when Who else was there. I've forgot his name blank here. But i've seen young guys walk into that locker room and try to embrace new york city in new york. City spits from the fuck out because they can't handle beat writers in their face. They can't handle the fact that the not plan as well as they wanna play right out the back. They can't handle the fact that the law firm isn't a veteran locker room as their Essentially praying with a lot of young guys will try to guide themselves. It's important to have old guys in the locker room to tap down shoulder right. Hey do this this way this below time for this focus on this if you need help with this call me. If there's nobody in those locker rooms to really help these young guys man what you have is. It becomes kind of like pigs beach right. Yo what's the what's the. I've got the story but with all the young kids spears leaving children into the fucker wilderness. Anyway it needs. The kid is going to mar of. Tell me yeah earth for him to have a lot of women around sincere mormon. The willie will he gets. That's not a problem for right. No it's it's it would be a good thing if the last quarterback doing fucking mono right. So that's the fucking problem. Right like sam darnold got fucking mono so. Obviously he was hanging around the wrong women. Now you're gonna have a mormon that could possibly catch mono and by the way he needs to be the future for the new york jets the jets you've got head. This happened joke jab this. You're going to have to protect this wolves out here. It's thought of the jets need to higher year to count. Just be exact wilson. Bonsor have to live in the downstairs. I take it a practice. Every day i've told to take care of joey is saw that you came across a very interesting mock draft online the other day. Yeah man the Chris simms see he. I don't know where he comes up with. This shit man put on a mock draft. He had just builds phones. Your books number thirty two would love that. Yeah no shit. you will love it. But if they're if he's there twenty four the steelers. The bears twenty now. Cooled amy on your out. Fuck is going on man like.

"Today we are here to discuss Miami after all all we were holding off. Are they going to trade with okay. See or anyone else. camp started for all teams and so we have to kind of assume it's safe just ahead on any team. Now we're talking about them and we're talking about Portland two teams with kind of confusing rousers but will you know Neil O'Shea. It has kind of convinced me to take a wait and see approach what he's put together. An architect knows slander at all to the Miami Heat from office bright people there and a great great track record but we're GonNa talk about whether they have enough shooting or not down there in in in south beach but Miami probably isn't a place where they they intend to make another move or to their hard cap so they're limited from transaction standpoint there as creative as any front office in the League they're also very good about scrambling back under the tax if they're not on track to have an awesome season and avoid repeated penalties things like that or would you try not to get too deep into CVA stuff here. I have to go check all of my mental catalogue with our buddy just to make sure how it all started before putting too much nuance out there so let's hit on Miami quickly. Obviously the big transaction them for them was the sign and trade Jimmy Beller got a top whatever number player the town depending a how you consider him at this point in time but a guy that can close games for as well as anyone league in my opinion to a player he he a little bit he's kind of unpredictable personality and those sorts thing but we'll see how he responds that he culture they lost. I will say the last season thirty nine and forty three missed the playoffs disappointing especially you consider kind of field last year off. It's twenty six. I didn't realize it was that bad the the the that's that's an outcome for a organization that really does take a self seriously. I think when I reflect on that I realized they really Miss Goran Dragic and it may be none of us appreciated the degree to which that was the case last year he really does a lot of a little things in that offense the ball coming back on the ball all those things and it just didn't really have anyone to replace that with. They were seventh on defense. They always tend to bring the defense net seventeenth percents twenty first true shooting percentage twice. They were the worst free throw shooting team. League will talk about a little more about the shooting leading players who lost Josh Richardson in the acquisition to get g Butler Twain wait retired Rodney mcgruder Hassan whiteside since Portland. We'll talk about that transaction on the Portland's. I later Janta Maidan go. didn't have the roster spots to him. Loss Jimmy Butler addity Butler Meyers Leonard through the draft Tyler Herro Casey Apolo. We've talked about Apollo knocking ready to help an NBA team this year and again without Sinu- trade they are hard capped under on non contract duck and Robinson a million of his guaranteed so he will be on this roster also Kendrick Nunn one hundred fifty thousand guaranteed. If he's on the roster season it'll kick another three hundred thousand guarantee four hundred fifty decay. Devan read who's shooting you know a prowess could be useful if he can do enough other things to bring into the rotation enduro making they're both on contracts are are not fully guaranteed until the traditional. January one okay so first. We have to delve into Jimmy Butler on this roster. Well we expect look like in the offense of scheme a recall that they've played. They're bigs at the elbow. Bam is being developed to do that. saw even more more of that last year the the this season competent in that action already not going to be surprised if he even thinks this up this year Kelly oubre one of the best bigs in the League in the action there ball handlers and wings operate on a lot of screens away from the ball but when Dwayne Wade was part of this this roster he had a lot of reasons to slow down when he felt like that was the right thing to do or if he just kind of an instinct was like this is what I need to do to help my team right now. Pound the basketball operate nice. Oh we should probably talk differently about what we think's GonNa. This is GonNa look like during the normal course of the basketball game. Will Jimmy go to that in the first quarter for example if the offense has stymied or were they stick to their normal actions entrust those things Jimmy included versus the end of the game they never game they tend to trust their best player to go seek that shot and regardless of the match up so greg one of the most oppressive NB forms so you ever seen the subscribe when Miami went into Houston like three years ago when you live there and just cleaned the floor with the rockets and it was all of the discipline all of the the attention to detail all of the ball movement and player movement that delivered that when they're like that they are machine like and when I think about Jimmy Butler on this roster I wonder is he. GonNa buy into all of that. It's not like it's not like he has a synergy to buck all that all the time we saw him in Minnesota for the first three three quarters of the game he would run the offense and move the ball and not look for necessarily like he had to get his shot and sup and his numbers. If the game was closed on the fourth quarter it got off track he would kind of dominate the basketball and I thought I had a pretty good things about what it was time for Jimmy versus not so. I'm really interested interesting. I'm leaning towards. I think early this season. He'll be doing the things that this coaching staff asked him to do late in the game. He'll always be the guy. What are you expecting to see from. I'm Jimmy in this scheme. Yeah I mean Jimmy looks very comfortable playing within the system to me and he is great at attacking off the catch and dribble and when Miami's at their best like you talked about when I was at the Houston a couple of years ago when they ran a clinic against the rockets is when the balls hitting both sides of the floor. Everybody's evolved everyone's touching. They're just making reads moving. The ball and Jimmy is terrific when he has space to work and you can start him opposite the ball inside you can draw the defense over you start screen action of dribble handoff action. When the defense comes over to help you set a Jimmy back to make an attack off the dribble. He's great with the pull up. Jump shot his great fit finishing at the rim. We're getting himself to the free throw line. Maybe not the most efficient player in the situations but very very strong long impact on the game so yeah there may be moments where he trusts to slow down a little bit ISO basketball but Jimmy is never been a guy who's real itchy about the ball itchy about his shot it. She about you know going is so to me. He's the guy who to win and defend and you know on the couple of times he's been in the past. They haven't really been able to put the total package together and you know that's different conversation for this team but I think there's often it. Suits suits them just fine. I think it will create options where instead of having eight ten twelve seconds to go to work. Jimmy goes and goes to three or four or five seconds. I think he's good in those situations. It's an offensive player and I think this offense will suit his game in my opinion yeah we're GonNa talk about with the Blazers how urgent it is for them to get into their percents early in the shot clock in the way they played with pace in the half court offense. The heat are kind of his patient. As anyone who wants several passes a once several screens want to convert strong side to weakside back to strong side in really the defense moving in the when the defense is has two or three people moving to cover all all of those. I always activities. That's when they attack a kind of attack the offense the defense when it's at its weakest again. Jimmy tends to buy into what the five minutes on the floor is trying to do is win. That's not good enough that he tends to kind of assert himself in a more individual way so that's what I expect to see earliest start the season and I don't really know why that change across the season unless there was just kind of a failure of confidence in some of the players that are in this routine but we'll talk about kind of the skill profile this roster but they're deep enough with legitimate. NBA rotation players that I think this is going to go well. I think Jimmy's GONNA fit in well so long as they can produce shooting with him Goran dragic to my point earlier. This was a bottom five office last year played just thirty six games last year and when he played he clearly wasn't hundred percent on this season's roster at the point guard position you have don't have another point guard on this roster apart from tyler hero so who didn't play Point Guard Kentucky but for what's this scheme calls for the point guard come down. Give them all up. look for a screen inside a screen. Whatever 'cause you listen the h. O. Action I think Harrow Qualified Kendrick Nunn if he's GonNa play kindergarten is more of your traditional point guard and from what I saw in Vegas. This organization has a lot of confidence in what he can do now. Seeing in a summer league setting is very very different from Kenneth Guy. Give them eighteen minutes a game on on the second unit but he's like. I said non-guaranteed. I've been saying kind of all summer from what I saw in him. If for some reason the heat don't want to keep him on the roster and in pay over the whole season some other organization will come calling because he's just way too trustworthy and solid of a point guard there are lesser point or in my mind in this league that have have a fully you establish backup point guard role on other teams in the nuns going to be a player that this organization. I think we'll have EBI pro having proud of developing so what that tells me. Is that no surprise it's kind of been the plant say drafted him. a lot of this is. GonNa fall to justice winslow and winslow kind of place three kind of plays. The four Kinda plays the point forward just depending on who else is on the court thirty seven and a half percent from a three on three point nine attempts to game. I think we'll see a bit more volume from him. There the confidence coming along as two consecutive seasons in a row where he shot the ball thirty seven percent better from beyond the three point line at the mansion dislike we talked about with we talk about Jaylen Brown getting stitcher or not I just don't trust is is that struggle through long stretches making free throws so you know I want to see him. Get that Saudi five percent or higher before I really believe in kind of his shooting. Even from the field last last season he was a plus point three in what was unique about his plus seven point three is that it was exactly half of that on the office of in and half of that on the defensive end and so for any player on a solid team or better that can give you almost a four point improvement on both ends of the court that is substantial and significant significant also last year they these numbers might not blow you away but to put it in context twelve points. A game five rebounds a game. I think his numbers will need need to be better than that. for this team to accomplish what they want to accomplish this year but twelve five four only sixteen players that league last year. Taylor ever all stars of the six that did were an all star last year. I think four of hub recall correctly work is made multiple all star Games before so it Kinda indicates indicates that if he can put it together that he could have a pretty unique value proposition to his team that few players in the league do so expectations with just as winslow kind of been a bit of a tease reminder that he had a really serious injury setback in year two and then he he came to the league without a really policy skill set kind of a a blossoming or merging skillset. They see you always have to give the guy a little bit of credit if you lost a like a a critical developments he's an entry to that okay. Let's adjust petition the your expectations and winslow how how much is the team really rely on him to step forward and be one of their prominent producers here. How capable do you think he is. What questions do you have. Tell me what you're saying. Yeah me too that to me. As we cover all these teams you know getting ready for the season. the big narrative from me about these teams that are contenders are trying to work their way up or who have veteran corers potential is can guys who are in their second third fourth year who have been secondary players or our primary players who just have sort of been dabbling with expectations but not really locking inconsistently or exceeding can and can teams these teams get these players to step up and take that big step and take on that big role and become a key contributor on on on the team and go to our land hawks team that we cover for Peachtree hoops and follow you know when they were able to take Al Horford Horford and grow him into an all-star when Jeff teague was able to come in as a backup and then take a starting role you know they were able to add players around them but being able to take those guys from course your second year third year.

chocolate covered peanuts got chocolate covered almonds yeah it was glorious i'm sure it was some guy on the assembly line in those valet there only have one plug word my god they bill you lost one of your politics yeah what i need to go back on the shop floor and find that i don't even think about it it's gone it's gone trust me it's gone it's gone it'll show up todd and done shall we say mornings five to ten a._m. hey this is don prior here we're todd jeffries you are listening to the very best of todd and dawn and we're going to be live at five thirty so you stay tuned you're listening to the best of todd and don on newsradio k._l._b._j. joining us on the news line is justin berry from the austin police association justin good morning to you just yeah we just want to get good morning don how you guys doing we're doing great we just want to get your reaction to all of this from policing standpoint the repealing of the homeless ordinances what does it mean now what do we tell the rank and file how do they go about their day keeping the community safe think they're they're going to have to wait for some new policies to come out to be given the direction they need to ensure that they are in compliance with the new orange fills it but it's kind of frustrating because it's your kind of setting the community patel you're you know you're kind of setting up for failure there's business owners have expectation necessarily their customers they'll say feel welcome stablishment now you're taking away from his tools to help them help those that are complaining and at the root cause of it it's also taking off discretion awesome very compassionate people i'll tell you right now we're also been to get through to the homeless issues the homeless did things store homeless comedian numbers that were never really talked about 'cause they care they're compassionate with there are times when officers have to utilize discretion makes me rest to keeping the peace to ensure that their keeping the community safe i'm trying to think of some scenarios if you're a business owner downtown could there be a day where you wake up you go to your business and there's a tent in front of your business is is that a possibility now very well could be the way that they sounded like they were talking last night and is they care more about keeping the homeless community from camping and parks but they're okay with them camping on the public right away but they don't want officers to have the ability to re remove people from the clerk right away and but they want them to remove him so far it was very hypocritical there's a lot of hypocrisy that took place farrington it's gotta be very confusing if you're a police officer age and that's why you know i just encourage love our members to just wait for these new policies to come out and make sure that they're being very carefully abiding by the new policies economic they southern trouble recent while the previous police chief on our show not too long ago and i don't know how accurate these numbers are on hold you to it but just just the general conversation he told us that about forty percent of the crimes committed downtown are committed by the homeless or they are the victims of the crime downtown is that is that pretty accurate i don't have those exact numbers seen them but having worked downtown for six years of my career i didn't say from professional experience point of view that i did take a substantial amount of 'cause involving domus community do you think the city is going to be less safe as a result of repealing these ordinances oh yeah station definitely so and it's unfortunate but not not just the community but also never gonna homeless community are gonna be less safe and i'm betas because i talked to a guy last night thinks kenneth guys been homeless for a long time and he's not homeless because you must be homeless you know he's got his issues going on and it's not drown kings dot drugs he won't take money from anybody i try before and he wants to learn his he just wants to job yeah that's pretty wants and just wants to place implement to work but and i asked him well why don't you go to the arts he'll get those services instead he's afraid he doesn't want to get robbed over there in doesn't want to get his stuff stolen he doesn't want to be forced to smoke crack you know these are real concerns and when you take with the tools from officers to go out there to go to these places where some members of the homeless community the truly homeless and a girl from safe horns last night said it perfectly there's a distinct difference between those who are truly homeless and those who are homeless in committing crimes criminally homeless anders very there's a big difference between the two against you justin berry austin police association we can hear the frustration appreciate you call it in on the of don show thank you very much justin thank you give them a great day you can hear the frustration in his voice you're listening to the best of todd and don on newsradio k._l._b._j. this is the best of the todd and don show but join us live at five thirty.

"She is outraged Mika is beside herself. And you know, what happens then? And the equal pay. I love this. I saw I think it was CNN today was touting the Barack Obama signing the Lilly Ledbetter act that might be the anniversary or something like that. And that was his first act, and it should be noted that when Barack Obama started up his White House operation he was paying women thirteen percent less than men in the White House. The Washington Post observed this, but they absolved him of any sense because in his eighth year in office. He was paying women in the White House. Sixteen percent less than men and they praised him for it. I'm not even making this up. That's how corrupt the Washington Post is it's dirty filthy corrupt. And and I and he's been fighting for equal pay for the Obama White House paid women thirteen percent last year one sixteen percent less year eight thanks Obama. God, they're amazing. Let's go to the the view. They gotta Whoopie. This is can you? Remember, we could play it all day long. What they said. About Brett cavenaugh what they said about President Trump and the audiotape and the NBC thing and the famous they let you and all that stuff. Now, listen to them in all days, we would call Joe. Some folks of a certain age would say, he's a little overly familiar. Okay. What most politicians when they're doing this with you? And they are jealous. Joe is a hands on of guy. Santan, Kenneth guy, that's just hands on you know, who else is a hands on kind of guy Harvey Weinstein Harvey swinestein, he is a hands on kind of guy on the view, joy Behar. Now, it's a long way from smelling your hair to grabbing your hoo-ha. I may let's tell the. Yeah. There you go. There's a long way from here to there when you're famous they let you it's it's a thing. Joy Behar, he talks close. He touches. What he's like. And I feel it would be really unfortunate. If we got rid of everybody who was just an affectionate kind of person. It would be unfortunate know, how about people that feed quail leads to high school girls, and then pull the train woo to shoot. You. Shirley, Abby Huntsman who is the Republican on the view said, wait a minute. You guys. I always wonder when these things come out. What is the motive for this person? Is it is it simply to let people know I was uncomfortable. Once you could have done in private or is it because you maybe want someone else to win. And you want him to have doubts about actually announcing for President Abbas on the team. She's making the call for the Democrats here. What are the most questioning the motive of the women and all the women at the view agreed that we should question. The motive of the women not with Brett Kevin on not with Donald Trump, not with Republicans. But with Democrats, I don't know that we will see anymore smelling of hair and kisses. Is me off telling you. Well, I don't want Jones to stop doing. I don't either they want him to keep doing it. Because it's the that's the thing. They want him to do that. Oh about there's more on this. Judge moore. Audio more women demonstrating their hypocrisy. The Democrats couldn't be bigger liars. They couldn't be bigger hypocrites. If they set out to be if they got counseling on how to be bigger hypocrites. I don't think could be achieved meek and Bihar and Whoopee, and there's Huntsman questioning her her motives, did you did you question the motives of where to begin? You're listening to the Chris Plante show Washington's mall, W A L. Washington comes to talk. WMA L from the heat the carpet cleaning traffic.

"New show is the where, all let's check out the mailbag. What are people emailing us? We all we got quite a bit of responses for. Our discussion yesterday about the Google pixel and you know Google's event in general and Patrick beige, and I, we're both a little lukewarm about it. So Kowa Laos says, I loved each NS, but I wish they'd invite a guest that knows a little bit more about Google products for a show like today. Again, this is yesterday show. They're all loyal IOS users who know very little Android, other than Tom defending the slates. The rest of the hosts didn't really care about the products. Now, Jeremy added agreed for one of the most anticipated launches of the year. I felt like the reaction discussion was pretty home, hopefully the more discussion in the coming days. Yeah. Well, first of all, I am not a loyal user. I use Android on the pixel see on the Chromebook on my essential phone use IOS on an ipad and an iphone. I'm not loyal to anything this idea that yet to be loyal to something bothers me and and I defended the slate, but I also was enthusiast. About the pixel three phones as was Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, like stuff about the phones. Why do you think this is? And I say these not necessarily to be defensive, but to say, and yet even with all of that, we got some folks who like, oh, you obviously don't like Android. Why do you think that is well, and you know, I, I definitely understand both Cholewa and Jeremy's notes because Patrick and I both sort of said like, you gonna buy this now, are you going to buy this now? But it does it figure right? Because the reaction to the user at that point, the listener is is well, of course not their apple fans. Exactly. And it's true. I just bought a phone, so I'm not in the market I, but but if I were, I thought that it was a. Very nice phone on both of that models in particular. And I do think that win. Somebody tends to kind of. I don't know, be beholden to a certain ecosystem. Sometimes it can rub people the wrong way like, well, you're just never gonna like, you know, you're never gonna like this phone because you're an iphone person. I am, but it's not because I don't like the phone. Oh, every time there's a new pixel I get excited because I go. This could be the wall. The wanna get all excited. And then I read it. Read that ars Technica first impressions thing that freaked me out now. Hold on Scott. You're an apple fan. Nothing you say. Go to Roger Chang who doesn't use devices, Roger. How did you feel about these Google announcements? I know it's funny because mo- for most of those events, I'm not a big a smart speaker like user and I do like at the Android phones. I'm not a flagship phone. Kenneth guy. I don't like, ooh, halo phone I need to have. I'm one of those really kind of value added kinda guys where, hey, what's the best phone you have? They won't cost me an arm on the leg. And generally it's somewhere along the Samsung LG mine and and you know, it's funny because I used to love like I had an excess next three best in the world. But you know, androids actually very, very good at optimizing for different hardware levels. So I'm keeping my galaxy s. six for probably another two to three years break it because it does everything needed to and it doesn't pretty solid. Well, I, I will say that thank you to call a and Jeremy. And I, I think Ryan creative starts also weighed in on this conversation on patriotic as well. We will. We'll take this into account and we'll make sure if nothing else we. We make sure to turn to Roger in Android announcements like that to get the perspective of someone who just lives in that universe as well..

"And then the squirrel comes in. The school starts climbing on us on our bodies to get to the snack mix because it's become so accustom to eating food given to it by humans. It was just absolutely terrifying, especially when you went to the flea, jump off of its knows it's only a matter of time till they can pull a switchblade on you. Exactly. They like they are. They are two nations and you and you feed them at your peril, especially if they're there. There are lots of drop offs that you could plummet from, and that's not even getting into disease issues. I apologize was ranting a little bit. I I, no, no, no, please rant on. I've been ranting about them a bit as my family watches the bird feeder as well to the point that my my son told me recently, he, he's, he's. Six years old and he, he said, actually, dad, the squirrel is the king of the rats which I disagree with. I think the rats are truly the king of the rats. They've earned that that reputation that crown yet at the same time, yes, squirrels are incredibly good rats in many respects. Well, there are many respects throughout especially mythology, but in human history where there is some correlation between level of authority and physical altitude. And so if the squirrels are in the trees above the rats that would seem to signal that they are the lords of the rat world and the rats on the ground below must do. Their bidding is right. They have the height advantage. The squirrels are the wizards up in their ivory towers and the rats are the peasants the, you know, thank you Lord. Kenneth guys who go out and do what they're told. But yet there is an honesty in the rat. We look at the rat and sometimes we to the rat too harshly. It's true, but you look at a rat and you know what? The rat does. The squirrel. However, as we will explore in. In these episodes, the squirrel is not what it seems. The squirrel has managed to to pull one over on us. So by now you may be going, okay, what is the secret? Squirrel knowledge. I've been, I want the squirrel Noces let me into this religion. So I guess we should pave the way to divulge that knowledge. So let's enter the kingdom of the Scuds. So what are what is a good scub-? What? What is a skull get its most basic nature squirrels are a family of rodents specifically. They comprise the taxonomic families skewer day, and that includes ground squirrels, tree squirrels marmots chipmunks, flying squirrels, and a few other varieties is also includes the so-called oriental giant squirrels the the black giant squirrel, the Indian giants grow the grizzled giant squirrel. That's real grizzled. Yeah. And the likely extinct cream-colored giant squirrel, mini additional varieties roamed in prehistoric times. And plus this family also includes groundhogs in prairie dogs. But when most people referred to squirrels, they're probably going to be talking about common varieties. Most often of the tree, squirrel, and the ground, squirrel. And so these are the varieties. We're going to be talking about most in this episode and so- squirrels are found all over the world, their native to every continent, except and Artika in Australia. But of course, humans tend to take their rodents with them where they go. So Hugh. Humans introduced squirrels to Australia, and now they're everywhere on earth except Antarctica. So I think maybe we've been burying the lead we should not bury the lead part. One of this two part exploration. One of the main things you're going to learn is that you've probably been too trusting of squirrels if you were like I was, I used to look out at the squirrels of my yard in think about them like Benjamin, Franklin's poor Mungo this victim, this poor little victim creature that could be eaten by dog and was a harmless sweet little her before gathering nuts and hiding them, and just going about a peaceful life without ever bothering anybody else. But the fact that blew my mind is that squirrels are not in fact strictly herbivores some not very strictly at all. That's right. And I have to say right before we, we actually researched this episode. I, I had this revelation as well through the bird feeders put out because one of the things..

"I'm going over here for the first story that's related to progressives. Okay. So carry Harris's running for a Senate seat. Whoa, sentence pretty significant. She's just Democrats. So she believes that all those progressive priorities that you know a love, Medicare for all fifty nominee in which college for all and peace. Hey, how about that? Okay, but she takes no corr- pack money. Now, that's a very, very important part of the story because her opponent that takes a lot of it. But we are told that this is impossible. I believe. I've heard this story before and twenty three previous times. It proved to be untrue is just as Democrats won their primaries, but guys, this is a Senate seat. Kenneth guy person not taking any Pac money. That's just democrat that progressive really what is sentenceed. Okay. That's the question for Kerry Harris and whose incumbent now that's carriers right there. She's wonderful. She was on rebel headquarters before she's got all those great positions. Her opponent is incumbent Tom Carper who has been in office in Delaware. That's the. Senate seat. We're talking about here in Delaware of four, about seven thousand years in a row. Okay. He's held many political positions there. So he actually is a huge track record. Let's look at his record and see if it's worthwhile because this is the important part. I am told by people in Washington all the time. What are you guys? Are we going to being deal out of all you? Rascal progressives. These Democrats are fine. They're find what you've primary and Tom Carper for. He's a good solid, democratic vote. On I don't think I've ever I've been single since. I was sixteen. But what is the top. Forty three reasons men are still single poor looks including baldness and, short? Stature. Is number one I'd Alden short I don't buy. That though I don't buy that short is we. Just get discriminated? Against you do yeah I think do think, it's odd when men lie about? Their height. Though because you do. Have to show up for the date I think that's. Kind of strange. While they maybe they boost. Themselves with a little it's even weirder the guys who wear the, boosting? Lifts But I guess I. Would say that if it's going to get you the date you lie you could, lie about your. Age you could lie about, your, height and then you get there and they see that you're not and they're, let down but then you go in for the Hartselle whereas if they're if they're. Going to say no to anyone over guys guys five. Six and over and, then if you're five five you'll lie you get in and then it's too late because you've charmed well I can understand why, you would say that because I do. Think. That would work I just think that it's not ethical. To do that, and as I say this is, someone who's gone on enough dates when the person shows up and looking, at her thinking like did because to me that's your. Starting off with a lie yeah and then I feel like they're wearing a padded. Bra maybe they've died their hair on applying women are Used to. Say that women are liars has a whole awesome yeah. Yeah I think what, do you think some of these forty three things seemed to bit redundant yeah they they went over to many and I didn't, even if I'm wrong I don't see. Porn. On here porn keeps guys from meeting women does it. Not yeah it, up there in the top three I don't know man like I'm I'm at. A loss, here I've been. Married for I do my wife for almost twenty years we've been married for fifteen before, that, I was, on a I was a serial relationship person I had to multi year relationships right. Before, I met my wife she sent him late you'd send them on AOL AOL Email you've got mad. I. Didn't, even have. Email twenty years ago I mean I don't know so know I've met met? Them, the old fashioned way at college or at a bar hey you know. I heard alley brain mentioned the. Other day because I'd never done. An Uber pool? Yes, but she does pool all the time She meeting. Men that way I. Said what is it well it was two. People in the car she said oh. No way more than. Two they stuff them in the. Car and then I said to her well maybe a crowded car. In terms of a. Woman you'd might feel safer with a. Bunch of people. Than you would with one guy right yeah. So different, for women than. It is men because alleys mentioning that is the way to meet people and make friends, in, an uberpool, yet you know I'm on a city bus and decided to get undressed and suddenly. Time, the bad yeah just a double standard Just. Change ticket, like everybody else? In, my metro card I should be able. To company, Kenneth, guy changed this year I. Got to tell you today on. The subway you really needed to, get, a trust it was so high oh my God, well the okay so let's go down the list here low effort is number three, now? That's. You know that's most of it low effort if you're a guy if you're a guy and you don't have a noticeable skin disease or, something you, know I don't wanna say you know people with skin problems but the idea if. You, don't have a huge Open source rejoin yeah like. Communicable disease if you're a. Guy and, you put, some effort in I, think you. Can find that special, someone I think I think he made a good point when you mentioned pornography, because I, think pornography and social, media and online dating I think, those are all starting to become very bad because Someone who's done the online dating I noticed when I was taking tender one of. The things where at the end of a, searches, said do. You want, to keep playing and I thought oh keep playing yeah to keep searching so the. The whole goal, is to, keep you staring at an and I find the data that a. Lot of the women are flakes they wanna chap. When it comes signed up I get to the point and I, say look let's okay we chatted, let's, meet and see if. We hit it off and. I'm, not looking for, sex I am very you know I can understand why guys out there looking. Notches on their belts I told the only, reason to put a notch my is because I've gained weight and trying to expand my waistline but a lot of the women they they want. To, talk they want. To get compliments yeah and you know and they're talking, to guys that understand are out looking for. Some quick action but if you're looking for an actual relationship I think the best is to go out into the real world. And meet some real people join a group of some type Not a far. Right group I, do have, a single friend somebody who's been single for a long time and. And I think a lot of this is it. Him right to picky he's sukey stupid app right yeah low effort, to picky I mean they kind, of, go together these guys. Who think like and what. It, all goes into, the porn too because these guys see they have only married geyser frankly I. Think single guys can actually live the porn, well I think that it is I think it's bad for all people you know what I mean like I don't think anyone Women it's a whole different thing because. You have this army of women who pretend that, they, are into porn I I don't think they are. I, think that's a lie porn. Is for guys and guy and it's. Bad for guys that's what? I, think across the board Oh it's great for. Couples in it's great anybody. Who says that if you think, that porn is not designed. For men.

Had, approximately seven hundred thousand square foot of structure to work with. Excuse me and that was including. The statler hotel tower and the oh Dallas library which was also historic property On the state. Library we'd redeveloped into offices about ninety to ninety three thousand square feet. And it. Is now the current home of the Dallas Morning News really it is, is good partners of ours The tower itself, we have a hundred and fifty nine boutique hotel. Rooms that are under the statler Curio a. Hilton Curio flag. Operated by Ambridge hospitality we have approximately thirty five thousand square foot. Of food and beverage which I. Think constitutes seven bars and, or restaurants so it is a true mixed. Use, tower juice definition absolute in how many, fours we, have a total of nineteen. Floors, floors now the, first? Seven, or hotel the. Next eleven are residential and then the rooftop is a. Clubroom pool okay it the the residential or. You can imagine you know those those old hotels it, does have a presence like that best mentioned that it was a, mid century modern style which in the statler hotel was was arguably one of the first if, not the foremost mid century modern. Playoff and mentioned you some people just, go there for one I, guess one of, those but. Chicago Dallas you can you can go to these cities in and just explore a lot, of things in doing go for sure. Parking at the hotel what? What's. Your parking situation etc always seems to be an. Issue in. Downtown hotel it is we have two hundred and fifty two parking spaces underneath the statler which were originally earmarked, for a residential guest but we do utilize that for..
