"Suzy's guest is one of our favorites and one of hers as well, the great Eric Stonestreet. How do you go from a kid who just wants to be a clown one day into desiring a career in acting and then becoming cam from Modern Family, just some great stories from Eric Stonestreet, including how he got started. How did you come to realize that your calling was in acting coming from the Midwest? I think there's something in the water there because of all the incredible actors that are out of Kansas City, which really loves going every year to go back and raise money for it's mercy children's hospital. Children's mercy hospital, yep. And he goes every year for the big slick. There's something in the water there. How did you get started? Well, you know, when I was a kid, I said I wanted to be a clown in the circus. And I didn't know what that meant at the time, other than I went to the circus, and that's who I was drawn to at the circus. And then life happened and I still did clowning and you know my grandma made my clown suits and fizz bow was a real part of my life as a kid. Then I went on to college and kind of left that behind. But when I was in college, my high school and girlfriend and I broke up and I was sad and melancholy and my best friend Paul, he was like, you know, you should audition for a play or something. And so I said I would if he would. And I went and auditioned for a play at the theater department at Kansas state, and I got cast. And then I kept getting cast and plays. And then I was like, well, this is fun. I'm enjoying it. I like the people of meeting diversity and unique, interesting people, and then the professors there were encouraging and said, hey, you know, you're pretty good. And so then I decided, well, I'll give it a shot. I'll just see if the people Manhattan Kansas know what good is and I'll move to Chicago and see if people in Chicago tell me I'm good. So I moved to Chicago with the idea that that's where I was going to be an actor. I was going to do commercials, I was going to be on steppenwolf stage, the Goodman stage, second city, perhaps, not really thinking of Los Angeles. But then when I got to Chicago, I realized I can compete, you know, not that it's a competition, but it is, in a sense, and I thought, well, maybe I'll hit LA and just kind of get the cheat code because I felt like staying in Chicago anymore than I did was just prolonging what inevitably I needed to do to find the success that that I wanted to find. So I moved to LA and just decided that I would start falling on my face there rather than falling on my face in Chicago without the possibilities of lightning striking, right? You have to have a fine career in Chicago as an actor. But you're not going to get that one moment where you step in a room and somebody says, you're going to be in a movie, you know, or whatever it is. So that's kind of how I got started. I just listened to somebody that said I was decent and then I just thought, well, I'll keep going until somebody says no more stone street. And just kind of been falling forward ever since. Love that guy. Love it. I just love hearing how people the name of the episode is facing the fear when you're just wondering is it right for you? Is it right for me? Is it right to keep on trying and I love it? That's what I love about just getting started and Suzy doing it with Eric Stonestreet. Go where all podcasts are acquired. On the cumulus podcast network. "Gordon Liddy is here on the rich eisen show big fan of Shea whigham here on the program. Good to see you again, brothers. Thanks for having me. So G. Gordon Liddy is quite the character. As I would just remember him growing up and seeing him on TV before he passed away, and so you play him in this show about the Watergate. Yeah, you know, we deal with 72. So, you know, when they approached me to play Lydia, it's scared really scared me. Because he's so iconic and so much people really started to, you know, find out more about him, post post politics with Miami Vice and what he did with Timothy Leary and so I was nervous to take him on, but yeah, so we dove right in. Yeah, for sure. In terms of characters that you've played and you've played a lot of crazy people. Just coming through the front door here. And your career doesn't take too much of a scroll down your IMDb page to see that you've played some people who've been out there and again, boardwalk empire is one of them. Where does this one rank for you? I think this is, this would definitely be on the Mount Rushmore of those and I think he would probably be at the top. I mean, not to go too deep into it, you know, I don't presumptuous when I talk about the acting part of it. But this one took a lot to put together because again, so much was known and he was, he was. The ultimate, you know, company man, no matter what it took to get the job done, he would do, you know? And so, and he had, he was just, he was just, you know, it was tricky because of how big of a personality is and how deep he would go. And I wanted to make sure that I gave him a fair shot. I said to Matt Ross, a director. I want to make sure that we give him a real fair shot. Don't bring any of your baggage. So we started it neutral with him. And just, you know, built lady from there. I mean, hell of a cast too. I mean, when you're talking about the mitchells Martha and John, being Julia Roberts and Sean Penn. I mean, that's a hell of a pool. She's been great to me. She's unbelievable. This is well as Sean. I've acted with both of them before. And I never, I mean, with her, I never, you never get quite used to being with Julia. What do you mean? She just, she's that big of a star for me. You know what I mean? I'm from mystic river. I mean, excuse me, mystic pizza, you know, satisfaction all the way through and then pretty woman. And then Penn, you know, I like to say I had pins poster on my wall as a young kid, you know? What a spicoli? Yeah, yeah, it's, you know, and everybody, you know, everybody I knew all the guys I knew.

"Are the reason that players are successful. The fans are the reason that players are able to get paid these big deals like they're able to get paid. So and some type of, you know, at some point, you have to respect the fans and what they bring to the table. And even if they're doing it, right? It's part of it. Like, I used to love getting booed. When I was on the Celtics, we used to embrace that. Like who was like, we used to we used to thrive off of that, but some guys don't, but you know, I just, that's the part I didn't like about draymond was saying, oh, I make 25 million a year. We know that already though. Kendrick Perkins from ESPN hoop streams co host right here on the rich eisen show so I'll ask you about a take that I've had. You tell me if I should carry on to use your phrase or not. That the 75th anniversary team version of James Harden has got to show up and he's got to show up starting right now for the sixers, your thoughts on that subject. You know what? I'm a answer and say care to him, though, 'cause you absolutely right, but here's the thing. I don't know if he can. Like, I'm asking for the same version of James Harden, but I don't know if he got it in them no more. I think for the time has caught up with James Harden, I think he has shown us that for the simple fact that he has already started to transition himself into playing the point guard position. Like when I watch when I'm watching them play, he can't get by guys no more. And I'm used to watching the James Harden work out with prince up on them and he would break them down, you know, being able to separate and get to a step back three point shot. He can't even do that. I'm watching the Miami gang of the night and they call him for a switch to get Tyler here on the pick and roll with no disrespect Tyler hero whatsoever. But he's not an elite schedule, okay? He can score a fucking city he's not long known as an elite defense. We all know this. And James hard couldn't even get by him. So I don't know, I'm giving him this last moment tonight to show me that he's capable of actually rising to the occasion. And I'm not even talking about scoring 40. I just wanted to see him score 28 to 30 points. That's all I want to see him do. If he don't do it tonight then I think we have to accept that this is who he is. 'cause I'm a tell you something rich. My grandfather always used to tell if a person showed you who they are, you got to believe. And who is he? Right? I mean, it just seems to me the number of times in which you just mentioned moments ago Kendrick Perkins about how players are hearing what media is saying and how it absorbs. How they absorb it. I mean, this is it. This is his time to win a championship, and I know MB needs to be out there in order to win it. I get it. But in order to get to MB being back out there and it's still being a viable opportunity for them, Hardin's got to show up tonight and do it two nights, 75th anniversary team type James Harden. He doesn't even seem to get to the line anymore. He used to be the guarantee for him, getting to the line. I'm making his free throw. Exactly. And that's why I'm getting to look. That's not act like we all don't know the history of James Horton after he lose tough playoff series or don't show up in the game 7, then we see clips of him being in the club or hanging with little baby or hanging with the rappers, you know, most guys that really put their all into it and really, really give a damn and really, really want to win a championship. If they lose and they on the contender team, you probably won't hear from them for about a month. You could go, you could go searching. Just look at a guy like jaylen Brown, right? Think about it. Game one against the bucks he was horrible. All of a sudden game two, he showed up to the arena like two and a half, three hours early. He was talking about how he didn't get in and rest. He couldn't sleep. He couldn't wait for games to and he came out he held himself accountable with that corrected all the mistakes and things that he had did in game one and he shined in great fashion. That showed me a guy that actually care not about his individual performance, but actually care about winning. And so when you see that, if they show on us that that's what I came to the conclusion with with James Harden, that nonchalant attitude after certain games, it just carrying on, you know, is daily life and seem like he's not affected by it. This is who he is. Before I let you go, Kendrick Perkins, I'll ask you this last question. Bringing our full conversation full circle because I asked you moments ago, the storyline of the top story of the second round of the NBA playoffs and you said John Moran, what do you think Zion Williamson is thinking right now? Tender Perkins. What he should be thinking about signing that rookie extension is something. And he should be thinking about when the pelicans uniform because with the pelicans showed him at the end of this season with the culture with Willie green with CJ McCullough where Brandon Ingram, the way those guys were playing along with those other young guys heard Jones and Marsha and those guys in Jose Jose, he should be thinking about going back to the pelicans and being part of that franchise and helped him get to where they need to go and they could be in a contender and continue for a title. Along with getting in some shape. Right, 'cause I'm just, again, wondering if he's looking at morant and saying, you know what? I should be doing that. Or he's sitting there thinking, I don't know him. I don't know him, and I don't know what makes him tick. And in the same way that you're saying you see jaylen Brown, he's a guy who wants to win, what do you think? Do you think that this is a guy that wants to maybe go somewhere else and be a star there and restart himself or he satisfied with his lot in NBA stardom right now or what? What do you think? I don't know because my biggest thing with Zion is that you were the biggest high school player name going to college since the guy by the name of LeBron James. And one thing I don't like about Zion and quote unquote is camp in a way that they handle things is that we never hear from. And they always say, oh, he's young, no, you're a grown man once you step into the NBA. And if you post to be a franchise player, we need to hear from. We want to hear your thoughts. I don't want to hear from your daddy. I don't want to hear from your uncle. I don't want to hear from your agent. I don't even want to hear them from Willie green speaking on behalf of you. I want to hear from John Williams. I want to know what Zion Williamson is thinking. And so I think it's a level of growth..

"kendrick perkins" Discussed on The Lowe Post

"And now, the low post. Welcome to the low post podcast we're excited to be joined today by one of the key players on one of the best teams in the NBA. That's right. Just one of the flat out best teams in the NBA, not a surprise, not a plucky underdog, not an up and coming team, just one of the best teams in the NBA from the Memphis Grizzlies. Jaren Jackson junior, how are you, sir? I'm good. How are you? I'm hanging in. You like that one of the best teams. If you guys, do you feel like you've transitioned in the media in the NBA environment from, oh, this is kind of a fun feel good story to, oh crap, dude, do you guys are just good? Yeah, I've never really thought about it like that because I think what made it so good is we never paid attention and I mean media and you guys like everybody does such a great job of covering sports. I'm a fan myself. I'm interested in what's going on. Like I'm always paying attention to the standings, like games, stuff like that, but I mean, obviously in my job, it's more efficient for you to just lock in on what you have to do. And that's just, you know, staying focused is tunnel vision. It's kind of like the same thing. So when the media, like the media's job, like their job, they're locked in on coverage, how to get the most attention, how to get the most viewership, which increases revenue, which feeds their families. So I've always understood how that works. Like the different jobs in a different lanes of everybody. So I've been able to respect it a lot, but I mean, I love the fact that we're getting covered more. So my grandma can watch, she can watch on her little her little TVs before we upgraded her to lead passing all that. She wanted to see more of my games, so that's dope. More TNT, more ESPN. Well, I don't think you guys are gonna have a problem with that over the next over the next few years. So you guys are, as we're taping this, it's Thursday afternoon, march 10th, I think. So it might be a couple of days before this goes up. As of right now, you guys are 36 and 12 since starting the season 9 and ten. 36 and 12. So I want you to take me back. A lot of hype around the grizzlies made the playoffs last year. Beat the warriors into play in tournament, get in the playoffs, lose, but like, you know, you put yourselves on the map. Then you start out 9 and ten and in that 19th game in 9 and ten jog gets hurt, goes down against the hawks with what looks like a knee injury. How do you guys take me in that locker room? Take me into the next few days because everyone at that point is like, oh man, there's seasons on the brink. Like if they just go 500 without job, that's a win they stay alive. And it wasn't on the brink at all. You guys just took off like gangbusters after that, but take me inside the team at that moment. What do you remember? Well, I mean, if you go back, all right, so we started off 9 ten, right? I can't even tell you if I really remember what we were thinking at that point. I think we were just like, I hadn't played much the year before, so I'm figuring everything out. We're gelling together. Steve-O's here, we're new. We're figuring it out. It's like figuring out mode. We have utmost confidence in ourselves and what the work we put in in the summer. So talent really wasn't something we were thinking about. We were just like, man, we know we can click, we know we got it. Sorry, boom. We keep playing. We keep playing. We get on a little street, right? Jog goes down. Now, when Joe went down, I remember that game, hogs game at home, jar goes down. Blow out while you guys lose about 32. Yeah. 32. As demoralizing as it gets for the 19th game of the season. For sure. 32 points, that hurt, yeah. But I didn't even, it was like the store didn't even matter to me. I think my mind just had gone to the next, I was thinking about job. I wasn't thinking about nothing else. I didn't care. I was like, yeah, what's 12 on? What's happening? I didn't even want to play really anymore, to be honest. It sucks to say, but I really didn't want to play that part of the game just getting at me. I couldn't get over it for that. For that game, after the game, I mean, we're finding out what's up. The greatest news we heard was that he didn't have to have surgery. He wasn't about to miss no year. So cool. Boom. He's about to miss however many games. We got to lock in. We come together real quick. We understand we gotta lock in, but the difference is he's right there. He's right there, he's talking to us. He's on the same page. He knows he's on the bench every game. He's instilling practice. That matters. That matters, as you guys keep going. Of course, of course it matters, because I mean, that's our brother. We need that. We just need your presence, bro we need you to because you're feeling your shoes right now. We're feeling your shoes or feeling what you do. So boom. He's doing that. He's always around. It helps to translate. And then we went on the street and we didn't even know we were really doing it until we were doing it. And so we look up and it's like, all right, we went in like 8 games, like one like 9 out of ten games. And it's like, okay, us being able to hold it down. We were just so excited until he got back like, man, it was like, man, we can't wait till you get back, bro, 'cause we've been able to hold it down. You don't have to come back and feel rust or anything. Just get your flow back, really. And he came back, and I remember he came back and we lost. So it's like, he's like, you know, you know, but I mean, that clearly never mattered..

"Not. I still think i still say to me. I don't know there's just something to me that says the best way for the best this. Nba bet the best brand of basketball was the golden state warriors when they add dray steph clay in k. d. because the ball movement in the spot up shooters and say whatever you want. All those guys can create off the dribble for themselves like klay thompson. Eight james harden or kyrie irving. but like. you're not just gonna stand in front of clay and he's knock on january step back. Claes got one on one work males a stoke on that. He's not gonna dribble twelve times and he's six foot seven so my thing is that i still think that the golden state warriors oftens of team is a smidge better because there was more ball movement and not as ball dominant play with the brooklyn. That's what the brooklyn nets are a fraction below them from a style of play standpoint. That's you know that. That's the that's where i think they. The honest question is random. Thought i love the idea of the chicago. Bulls are they top five in the east general. Who even went to marvin rosen. No i think they're six or seven. I think i wouldn't say talk. Cloud so is your finds. Dance bucks books a philly on c. Lenhoff seat old boss see. I don't know i'm so not sold on boston. But i know your boss guy but come on man no no no no look. I give boston the business. But what i'm saying is is that you still have jason tatum. Jalen brown right you. You add in schrool you you you did pick up l. Horford look i know is not all i know is not out all the old but sets tannin Set up front thing right will look i just like i like some of the moves like i feel like josh. Richardson to be pretty good of coming in off the bench. That's underrated pickup. And they got and they saved like eighteen million dollars that they could use right now in case they might wanna go get blood. He'll because date the way that mitchell's plan he's almost forcing sacramento to make a decision. He's at least at my least favorite team. Is the washington wizards right now thirteen. They have surpassed they have surpassed the kings the next as a team that frustrate me the most because the knicks are actually there none. I love i really liked. I liked the. I like the mitchell kid from the kings. I think he is a you. Say it culture builder rookie. Because the way he plays. He's like marcus smart where he plays so hard on the defense van. He's physical he loves to take the challenge. And that can inspire your teammates. Because when you've got a guy that can put out a flame you got a guy that can bring up the intensity. So i really liked what the sacramento kings have done. You know with the option that they had but if the washington wizards don't figure out what they're going to bradley beal. Bradley beal doesn't want bradley. Beal doesn't want to leave. I understand that but like you're just sitting there with an all. Nba player did not gonna win anything. He's gonna win enough games. That's going to take your draft pick from from possibly two or three to light eight or nine so you really kind of inbetween..

I lose friends behind basketball out a something that i've said on tv about moves were made plays made or guys playing bad or whatever case may be then they were my friend anyway because a real friend would know that. Starting his day right this is this. Is the dane alley. That i feel like with with us. Three on him for his wish. Granted sean former players right. None of us are hall of famers Walk in walking into the media hall of famers when they finish their career they get the red carpet rolled out for him right like they get the big platform. They get the big payday just because basketball resume. And i think right now. We're doing this with showing the next generation on the younger group as coming up others that you don't have to have the have a hall of fame career you don't have to be a franchise player to be able to come into the media and be successful at the same level of the other guys because some of the guys that had hall of fame careers on that good on tv. I'm not gonna day name. But i just think will in away for others to come in and say you know what i could come on the could be myself. I don't have to do this. I could be myself. And i don't have to have this resume in the nba to be successful in the media. Gay can i say this. Some of the best people that listened to when it comes to sports are the people that have been to every situation. They started they've won. They've lost they've got dnb's it is ready to erc they. They're empathetic to every situation. And so like but there's a sense of humility right so what i'm doing my games. You know obviously cracking jokes ninety percent of basketball spine and at the end of the day. I can only talk if i was on the bench. How on talking is exactly what the cuss words. "Tell me in my ear. Is robin thicke really good. With it's down for an interview with rich and our archives babysat by wayne gretzky. The great one. And i was a kid. I loved writing famous. Athletes letters trying to get autographs. Sure do all the time. I do it as an adult on twitter. Yeah factual that her ben lyons five hundred ten. The fan mail just to the stadium. Just in care of scottie. Pippen and we'll just see what happened and somehow a friend of mine had a home address for wayne gretzky beverly hills california. Did it twice six months later. Boom autograph wayne gretzky back in the mail. I can only imagine what wayne thought show answering his mail that day. And there's a letter from ten-year-old chris brockman he's like wait a minute. This is the guy who wrote me six months ago son. All right fine. We'll be today's equivalent wayne. Gretzky getting sold to la kings like messy not returning to barcelona going to g. Yeah i figured out how. I think that's it. That's the one right now in the height of his powers. If tom brady just got sold to miami or something it would have to be. You'd have to have like the absolute top echelon of player still kind of in their prime off of a dynasty just went four cups edmonton how were used to now with our star athletes being upset being disgruntled mike michael thomas for example signing extension a year later. He's scripting he's twee. I heard stuff on twitter. Del tufo year. The hockey expert here was it. That gretzky wanted out the he want to come to los angeles. Yeah he wants to be here he wanted to be in. La we had the movie star. Wife i mean 'cause 'cause that was amazing that he wanted that happened right. The idea that was i remember. It was huge. That i i know that you have about your connection with the world of sports but none of them can top being babysat by weighing. Is that a true story. You babysat by wayne writes. There's a brotherhood of canadians. I i think my dad is canadian. Wayne gretzky canadian of course and They had made friends Through his years at on edmonton oilers and so he was saying in los angeles and staying at my dad's house. My dad happened to take my brother out of town for a ten day trip. So wayne in janet. Were staying at the house pretty much babysitting me. I was going to joe torry baseball camp every morning. I was probably. I had to get it right but I assume it was eight hundred. Eighty eight got traded. So it's probably ten or eleven around there and So the phone rings at seven thirty in the morning. I'm getting ready to go to joe. Torry baseball camp on the bus getting picked up and the phone rings. And it's bruce. Mcnall in bruce says Robin anisur wake up. Wayne and i said i don't really want to do that. Can you just call back later. No you really need to wake him up. The los angeles kings the owner of your house right to say. Wake up wayne gretzky. So i answered the phone. And i go. And i'm not going to. I'm like wayne phones for you. So go to camp. I come home and you know. He's on the podium doing his press conference in edmonton and that was the day he got traded. I answer the call so the call to tell wayne gretzky or now a member of the la kings. Yes you technically with the one to pick up the phone. I was the operator who made the connection so that is pretty cool. Yeah i would say not not for edmonton fans you know. I think i'm like the yoko ono the message.

"I hope with all the excitement around the wnba. The back half of the season that the jackson three get some time together. Is that in the cards. Yeah so the jackson three you know. Then the jackson three are probably the only family in basketball I think i'm right on this. The only family in basketball they can say that they were in every bubble last year. Now we prayed that we we don't go back and playing and bubbles ever again but junior was in the nba. Bubble of course was in the ball and j senior was coaching with the new york. Knicks g. league team so he was in their bubble the g. league bubble last year We are. i'm on the west coast. Now i'm gonna be headed to the nba. Summer league juniors gonna be headed. They're probably today tomorrow. to support the grizzlies Daron senior is there. He's on the new york knicks. Summer league Coaching staff So i will pass through there also. Of course the aces are there. So i get to meet with them. Do their team meetings so well. The jackson three. We'll have some time in vegas. I believe we might head back to la for a little bit. But i look. My season is in full swing. I gotta go to work. I gotta go to work. Expect me to be working right now. So if i sneak in a little family time it will be great. Well all the work you do is so inspiring us basketball fans terrier appreciate you spending some time. I know you're right in the heart of the season. And i do hope jackson three can get together in vegas for for at least a little bit. Thanks for spending some time. Ben thank you executive director of w. mvp a terry jackson all the basketball family. Jaren jackson seniors and as a coach in the westchester knicks shouts out to the g. league knicks. put langston galloway jersey in the rafters. Up there and scarsdale. How about that as a family you got jaren in the w she's as dialed in with the wnba jared in the in the nba. Terry's in the w and jared senior working with the g. league. That's a basketball family senior. Former georgetown hoya san antonio spurs. He killed the knicks now. He's out there. Coaching the westchester. It's up jaren. Is young star out memphis in the work that you know teri does with the wnba p. a. It's it's incredible. When you see. All the wnba players get off the bus in the wobble wherein t shirts say Vote warnock. that's because terry terry's organizing these one hundred forty four women who are out there speaking out whether it's vaccines whether it's social justice. They're always on the nba. Like just look to the w for guidance on what's important in life it's remarkable and i'm excited that we get back half of the season now as they come back winning the gold medal and she said there about thirty or forty women from the w who played for all for all the teams for france and italy so quite an international league. So very excited ws coming back. Appreciate the time with terry and appreciate the time with you guys. Is this thing's wrapping up. We got celebrity birthdays next. That's it ben. Lyons in for rich. "Well first of all. Let's go back. I am the mother of jaren jackson. Junior i am the way of jaren jackson senior. But you know we'll we'll talk about junior right now so Well junior well it's all about. It's all about the jacket on draft day right. It's all about the su- it's all about the jacket and what you're gonna do kind of creative inside and do a few ideas and one of them was like you know. Hey mom you know. We're talking about voting the importance of voting. and maybe. that's something. I'm gonna do when i'm in the league. You know what. What can i do to kind of kick this off on draft night. What about rock the vote. And i was like what are you kidding up like blitz column and see. I think we had like four days before he had already picked this pink crush. Melvin jacket that he had to have period the end. Nobody was talking him in or out of that But we out to rock the vote. Caroline the ceo over there and that. Hey you won't believe this. But this is what jaren jackson junior wants to do. What do you guys think. What are you behind it can we. Can we use your logo. And he rockets and you know Thanks to caroline. She said yes absolutely. So that's how it all started an incredible moment for your family for the nba family It's just just remarkable. One of my favorite draft suits of all time and i bring it up as well because You know when when nba players speak out about social issues or things that are passionate to them. It celebrated acknowledged but it feels like often that the wnba the players from that league war ready on the on the train are already saying these things and we look to them. Often for leadership when the world feels uneasy or uncertain. Talk about some of the great initiatives. You guys are working on another something going on today or tomorrow. Actually that that you guys are putting together. That's pretty thanks for that. Ben no when it comes to social justice issues. The players say it is in their dna. And what. I love about Ben is that they educate themselves. They look to be informed. They asked us to pull together. You know subject matter. Experts folks in academia folks in public health and at a variety of fields. So that they can talk with them they can listen and learn and ask questions coming out of the bubble you know they talked about black lives matter and elizabeth william specifically said you know we're behind black lives matter then. We have to understand what that means in the public space and so we put together some educational zooms Around vaccines around the covert vaccine We talked history about equity or inequities in in public health for black and brown communities. We talked about the ability to have access now so That public health initiative is really important to them Biz what you're talking about Zoom that we're going to be doing tomorrow. The panel that we're going to be doing tomorrow is in collaboration with two of our community partners The black women's health imperative who celebrating their anniversary this week. the national council of negro women and c. n. w. They pulled together a panel called healthy dose star panel moderated by angela rye featuring elizabeth williams who mark my words. I'm gonna say. I'm just gonna keep saying this and this put it out in the universe. Elizabeth williams is going to be the next. Us surgeon general. One day. just just wait and see She's going to medical school after she hangs up her her basketball shoes. I'm certain of that. So but joining. Elizabeth and angela Lisa lesley and dr contessa met cat. You know that name. Ben dolan no god. Dr see is one of the doctors from mary to medicine Coming out of atlanta. So yeah so we're really excited about the panel. It's going to be so cool so we're hoping everybody tunes in that is tomorrow at eight o'clock i think eight o'clock eastern. It's posted on our instagram. So you guys can Check it out there. But dr contessa is going to be with us. She's a fan to your family. We're coming out to linda gene game though she she's for real lucarelli. We're looking forward to it. Syria appreciate all the work. You and the women of the w are doing on. This issue is down this issue and other issues like you said social justice. Obviously top of mind for the women in the w yet so many women who are household names women who are big stars elena schuyler. Sabrina asia neck. Liz i mean the list goes on stuey. You've been covering the game for a long time. Basketball's did a part of your life for a long time. Never seen so many women out there who are part of the national international conversation around the game. What are your hopes for the back half for the wnba season. Wow you know what I'm looking forward to thursday. I'm looking forward to the commissioner's cup and getting back underway looking forward to sunday. I like i said so. Many teams back at it. You know i. These women bring excitement to the game. I mean we thought we were really paying attention. 'cause we were home and nobody was going anywhere but we were watching all these games. There were even more games televised last year than probably ever before So we know the excitement that they bring And they've just got great stories to tell but the work that we're gonna be doing off the court not just in public health but around Racial justice in voting rights. Which what will be doing with the lgbtq community. I'm just so excited because the players have framed up. You know this this three-part agenda Working with the community back in it again. What we know they're capable of doing on the court. We're going to see our stars. All our stars from the olympics. Coming back Look it is must-see tv when it comes to the w as long as they put us on tv and as long as our fans can find it like. No one is disappointed. Then no one is disappointed. It's going to be a great back half of the season to towards Some of the partnership that that the wpa will be announcing We're we're looking to grow the business to and we're looking you know we're we're just doing our best. We're just doing our best so stay tuned. there'll be more on that terry..

"Real basic question. What the hell you think it doing out there. you know. Just tackle a challenge. The most wouldn't i would say so. Why why are you doing. Just trying new bat booster package and i was working on this year for me though is is literally like would you rather live and die. Would you rather die. And never live when i went in arena like i feel like somebody else troll of me and i became like an a modern day. Kind of like gladiator. You know being in their back in that. Tom and just feeling it. You know the the coliseum sands and the people that was around and you see everything and then the ball out you see everybody running. And you know gingko some people get smashed by the ball and then you look at it. And i'm like okay Everybody going run up in encircling. Going touching again his way was this thinking over notch. Jump over over so on. We just looked at the video. And i don't think the will move very much. You did in fact leap over the the length of the height and length of the bowl. Yeah i had. I had You know match it up. I had to size it up Pretty much have calculations to the point where he never wanted jump behind it because you never know what it may do may turn right left on a down so i wanted just to face it head on and so when i jumped into i tom Everybody started like cheer and yell. Say okay that's pretty cool. The second time the not hurt his were else out. The door l. Stopped at all. And i don't know what that means. I left and one day story hearing it through the streets. And i was like okay. Whatever and came back the second day did it again and they stopped the music and everything get started yelling at indy stance to you to me like me now. I'm a football player here in the states. You're correct yes. They don't know me from adam house. Josh norman is there in pamplona kid. There they started chanting their name. So i'm like a hero in spain. Almost not even back here rummy. So hold on bananas. Let me get can use this on On any host of shows this nfl. Season el salvador. Yes just like the jumper else out. The door to door matadors jumper. So i would love just one second in my life to have the words. El salvador chanted welcome back to the show. Welcome back to the show. Ben.

"Shifts do their job. Ever gonna shift robbed. Did you ever get a shift rod karoo. No i would love the shift on especially v. I hit the ball more updated middle into left field Then i would become a pull hitter and just to hit the ball on the ground and try and beat out. Some intrigue hits but You know the shift. I hate that they have today. I hate because you have a guy in right field Second baseman moves out the right field. And you know they're taking a lot of basis away from from the hitters and people are paying in. Cd's guys come up. you know. Hit the ball well to center field or left field and get their their share hits but I would if. I was the commissioner. Yes i would say you go. Five feet off the infield grass at. That's it right. And then and then if you're you're designated as a shortstop a third baseman you cannot be stationed to the right of second base from the view of behind home plate second base and first base vice versa. And that's it you can't you can't move it around but i guess we're kind of you know circling around. What is the issue with baseball. On my mind today rod crew is that. I know that the commissioner was focused so much on the length of games and pace of play. But it's the it's the pace of action it's the it's the amount of action that that that is missing. You're seeing a bunch of innings where there's two runners on because of a walk and Two outs because of a strikeout. And nobody's put a ball in play over the span of about five minutes and part of that is not just a shift but it's also a significant focus on exit velocity like we talked about at the top of the show and then whatever the pitchers are putting on baseball's six no hitters in the first six weeks of the season rod. And that's that's what i'm saying is is maybe a little bit of less of everything that i've just mentioned would be helpful ruin. You know you've got to. You've got to tell the kids that can hit the ball out of the ballpark that they have to make adjustment to go the other way You don't see that in today's game and so they're pulling the ball a lot Hitting hitting balls right is to shift and I i've seen so many games where they should have done job. But they're not concentrating on Do the job moving. The runners from second to third. How many ways can you score From third base One out or not you know From second base. It's going to be hard to to score on a passed ball To give you another run but Something should be done or equals out for both the pitchers and also dipped defensive side of the road crew author of one tough out fighting off. Life's curveballs available in paperback for folks. Who may not know your full story and want to learn more about it. Curve balls you're not just referring to obviously the twelve to six variety correct. That was snapped off your way in the baddest rod. Yeah you know read actually gave the gave me the name for the book. Because i was going to have him write a little excerpt on on the front page and so when he said trump's out i said okay. Great you know you've given me the the the name of dip book and you know i appreciate it. Because i played with reggie. I played against him and he saw Me as a hitter that I did give up all the way through the bet so I appreciate it but it's a good book. You know it talks about my upbringing. Talks about my youngest daughter dying from kimia and it also talks about The situation that i went through with having to get a new heart. And it's a book. I think that will help. People and that people understand that You know heart disease is like the number one killer in this country and they have to start taking care of themselves. I was fortunate because i had one. I had a wind maker acre. And usually you don't live from that so good advice and and what you need to do to take care of your ticker otherwise. It's going to stop picking and you're not gonna be here with us. So i've joined with the american heart association and trying to spread the word Because i i see too. Many younger people But having heart problems and they need to pay attention and a lot more to so much to learn about you and about life through the economic paperback version of one. Tough out fighting off. Life's curve balls. Who's the best hitter you ever saw. Ever would be whoever the guy one guy that i played with premier leader. Because he could do so much you know. He could take the ball to left field. Hit the ball out of the park left field center field or or right field and he was just a tough out. you know. tell you that They're just they just hope that if they tore it down and battle that he'll make an out but You we room together for about twelve years. And so i learned a lot from I remember when i first came up. You know the video system wasn't in yet so we had little vow camera that we would Take pictures of of us during the course of a game. Then we'll go back to the hotel pool. Put it up on the wall and hit and so we were able to some of the things that we were doing that We shouldn't have been doing but Tonio is to me one of the best hitter. That that that i played with or that i've saw a young young and i i mean we're seeing a photograph of him on on screen As you were talking about him Rod and he's a left handed hitter. He doesn't have any batting gloves on. He's not wearing the armor on his right. You know on his right arm so you lean over the zone like all the stuff that we're seeing these days is old school and you know it's just i don't know i mean they're talking about moving the mound back because i i don't know it just seems that we need an injection. Leave the game the way it is. You know bob gibson and dr colfax and all those guys says oh. I'm gonna test this. If i could break you know all the armor that there weren That tells me that you're afraid to get hit. And it tells me you don't know how to get out of the way the pitch if it was inner half to do Baddest box so They want to stay on top the plate. Then they need to get drilled. Backed off the okay. So you're saying rod. You know bob gibson. Rest his soul and others that you've spoken to on this subject matter say that they would colfax that they'd come up in and they see it they try and break that are see..

bob gibson dr colfax two runners Five feet today twelve second base about five minutes first base first six weeks third base both One third second Rod trump about twelve years reggie first

"Same thing everybody else thinks. I certainly did not expect this year out of. But i did expect a success at the big league level and you know the ability to hit twenty five to thirty home run just because we you know we're we. We have a small ballpark now and he hits a fly ball a routine fly ball and few guys. I played with their like that Strawberry did it luzinski. Did it mccovey. Did it start. Did it dick allen did it harbor does it. Trout does it. They hit fly balls for them that come down on the other side of the fence balls. That aren't hit good it. According to them Ballparks are too small for some of those guys may hit a fly ball that it's when it settles and its missed it comes down on the other side of the fence and those guys hit fifteen those and then they hit team balls good. They hit thirty. It's horrible reggie and in this day and age. Though i've had a conversation with fellow famer john couple of weeks ago. Reggie that That the that kids don't mind striking out as much these days did you have. Did you have an all or nothing mentality. Obviously you're we all know how many strikeouts you had in your career. But did that matter at all to you. Because there's a lot of hand wringing over it today as well. I think i struck out too much. And i average summer. Twenty five hundred and twenty one years is a hundred and twenty five year So but that's too many And i think for one hundred and sixty two games. If i would have played to average one hundred forty so got too many strikeouts you can get by with This is well hold on. Let me take this call. How steinbrenner right back. Okay you go. How call you right back okay. Thank you Reg i mean seriously you can take that you could put me on. Hold for the boss. That's okay i. I wouldn't want i can't have you hear what i'm saying. Now hold on a second reggie. Okay hold on real quick. Though i would not be doing. My job is question. If that was george back in the day would you be able to tell him. No no what you just told his son up on you. I might not even told you acted like one on the phone hung.

"Right welcome back. Look who's here perk with us Stephen i'm going to start with you on this one. If the nets do get hardened do they need to win the title. This season having this type of talent downright without question. And i'm gonna tell you why because the pressure is going to be immense first of all your k. d. Obviously everybody's looking at you comparing you to lebron and stuff like that Lebron goes and he assembles a big three. Then ultimately you want up to him and went to golden state and gave the ultimate big three. Lebron sits up de a d. is now in. La so you go to brooklyn you got kyri and then you get a james heart so the pressure will be immense on him. This guy read because of all the things that max has titillated throughout the years and to a lesser degree kendrick perkins when you talk about the lack of leadership there kyri urban may have shown from time to time. He elected to leave cleveland. The go to boston. The situation in boston didn't work out. He goes to brooklyn the only place. Twenty games helped was an issue and all of that stuff plus. He made some headlines. That's an issue. And then you've got james hearted remember. James harden didn't want the white how houston Ultimately he didn't want chris paul in houston and then obviously even though again and kendrick perkins knows this far better than me because he has those relationships with these guys. In particular russell westbrook russell westbrook made sure to reiterate to me. Listen his relationship. With james harden is as is big tom their brothers and they're gonna always be brothers. We did not talk about basketball. Just a relationship that he has with james harden which also articulated over social media. I by the way his relationship with james harden they are brothers and they are tight but that doesn't mean they want to play together so as a result of that rests with westbrook is planning on moving on as a result of him. Moving on james harden is moving on. And so there's going to be some pressure to bear because with all of this money that harden and k. d. and career getting paid along with the expectations. Let's bring in the last element you in brooklyn. New york utah. You're even denver. You're in the mecca the media capital. Now obviously the knicks are in new york city madison square. Got it but we should all be allergic to mentioning championship protection at a new york. Nixon brett at least at this moment atop the faith man leon roads and we'll worldwide west but the bottom line is is blasphemous sacrilegious to talk championships. And and the knicks but brooklyn fall weighs less than ten miles is less than ten miles away. It's still a part of brooklyn one of the five boroughs and there is going to be are meant pressure on manse. If the three of them larry know why go give it their. Kp might be right about this guy at five in milwaukee we might see silly. Do some things we know. Lebron is at whatever but if those three assemble no one is going to be interested in any stupendous as to why they did not win after three guys. You damn right. They need to win the chip because the world the world will be watching. First of all brooklyn is even thirstier for a championship. And i think is a bigger deal than a team winning in manhattan in the sense that brooklyn hasn't had a championship in sixty five years. Since the dodgers left brooklyn in fifty seven but they want and fifty five to go to air like that. But the knicks. You're right it's been almost forty eight years for the knicks but brooklyn is the nets or the team in new york. The knicks don't even exist compared to the nets right now and let me say this. There is immense pressure for them. To win you're right stephen while they're together i'm here saying it doesn't need to be in the first year for example if hardened goes to brooklyn and they lose in the finals and a tough series to the lakers. A team like that. It's all right but they have to win while they're together. Even this year's lakers team. I didn't pick them because it's hard to just throw a team together with guys have been played together. Get all the complimentary pieces right. Get it all right to go all the way. We saw that with lebron and his return to. Cleveland went to a game six of course they had injuries on that team. But that's part of it is coming off the catastrophic injury and we saw it again a result before that when lebron showed up miami with the big three it some it takes some times a year to get it right with guys playing together so i would say while there's enormous pressure for them to win while they're together because k. d. if he's most of themselves even is an mvp caliber player so is hardened and kyri may not be an mvp but he's more than just an all star he's all star plus you have to. Mvp caliber players an all star. And then some you're supposed to win a championship to gather. I don't think it has to be in the first year. And i wouldn't say that it's the kind of pressure for example when katie went to golden state. It's like there was more downside. Like guys you have to win it. If you don't win a championship that sorry i wouldn't. I don't think people will be looking at this team like that. Sorry if you don't wanna chip you gotta get outta the east

Mark Jackson is the reason why Mark Jackson isn’t an NBA head coach

"Joe. Lake. Up after mark was let go had a bunch of quotes This was one of them that I found co part of it was that he couldn't get along with anybody else in the organization and look you did a great job. I'll always compliment him mini respects but you. Can't have two hundred people in the organization, not like you. Okay. and he said when I say the organizations whole I don't just mean the team just fifteen players that are involved in the coaching staff I mean everybody there's two hundred employees here. So we look at the organization going forward and the kind of coach we want and not just the performance everything else all these factors matter. We took all of that into account. So we have the player part of it. We have the owner part of it. We knew the front office didn't like him when one of the assistance. was busted for recording Jackson in meetings to play for the front office, which again that actually becomes a pro mark Jackson part of it. The Mark Jackson staff was not good enough the ownership in front office told him repeatedly, the staff is good. Enough Mark said we have the best staff going he and scalping apparently got into it and scalloping he was reassigned the front office didn't like that part of it. So we have the players have the staff we have the ownership we have the front office. Let's also talk about some of the other stuff that's just let's face it. Weird Jackson's Amana Faith I. Don't question anyone's faith. I just say to you leave me alone and I'll do my thing That's the way I've always operated and that rubs people wrong way when he was a head coach but also would find time to get to La whenever he had a convenient off day to go and do that. It's tough to tell a man of faith. Hey, you know what don't be that interested in God? That's that's an almost impossible conversation but if I was at ESPN or anywhere and said, Hey, you know what? I can't watch football this weekend. Because I have this higher calling eventually it worked they'd be like, Hey, you know what? Man Like this is all part of the job being availalbe around is very difficult in tough thing to navigate as I'm not even hundred percent comfortable doing it but I'd have to say employer at the time being frustrated by it actually makes a little bit of sense and I think there's other things that just bumped people out when curry had his ankle issues he was brought up in it was kind of a playful thing curry's brought up they put the holy oil on his ankle and. Jackson's wife at the time and Pete Jackson was like look like he had chronic ankle problems and now he doesn't. So you figure it out. That's one of those things where people like wait what Jackson also had some issues off the core where he was caught up extortion deal and I'm not even really getting on his case for that because I think a lot of things happen to people that are public figures that goes on normal people's lives. But the public figure becomes the of jokes on and on and on. He also said when asked about Jason Collins availability years ago. He said not in my locker room. So it came off as if he was a homophobe because there's evidence that he is, and then when he was asked to clear that up, he said look I know Jas I know his family and I'm praying for them right now. Hey, man you save your fucking prayers. Okay. That's the kind of stuff that just doesn't play no matter who you are and I think the. Most important part of all of this because I guess I'm still maybe a little surprised that he doesn't have a job because other people have been on TV and not been great on. TV. I've looked at other coaches that haven't had great runs and there's been plenty of people that have gotten second chances by the way both black and white. So when I see people out raged that he's been blackballed or as. Shannon Sharpe said White Bald or Kendrick Perkins recently, just saying like all of these things that I just going off on the idea that Mark Jackson doesn't have job it really feels like, okay. Are you informed and but yet you've made up your mind decided not to change your mind or are you uninformed and I think so many people screaming about this or like Oh wait that's right. You know maybe either moments you had just now listening to this like Oh, that's right. I've nothing personal against Mark Jackson. He's one of my favorite college basketball players of all time all-time. You guys know how huge of a Saint John's Fan I am and I actually was you know as a little kid be like dude I can't believe he's going this late in the draft is GonNa be awesome and he was awesome in the knicks I felt so vindicated I was. Like and I could refer team right one day I love Mark Jackson and I was right. But when I listened to him on the broadcast Van Gundy I, think him being on the broadcast Van Gundy chances of getting a job because if I was worth a half a billion dollars or more and had the opportunity to own a team or owned a team right now and I'd go. Van Gundy's on all of these little things like, Hey, look at how they blind me Anthony Davis on free throws already have them on the other side of the court. So he can seal for Deepak smaller offender will there be an adjustment. Hey, what's going on with the substitution? Hey, this rule's actually wrong. Why are they doing it? This Way Jeff Van Gundy will say, here's Hey Jason tatum something's wrong with him. He's the first pointed out it happens multiple times every single broadcast Jeff Van Gundy is easily the best NBA analyst in the game right now. Mark doesn't do any of those things and I. Don't know if that's just him not being comfortable in that role but he's a coach. He's a former player and he doesn't do any of those things. He'll say, Hey, this guy's not just a great score. He's a great individual. He's a human being. Okay. So and so doesn't get enough credit for shooting. Okay. In everything is results based. If the shot goes in, it was a great shot at the shot doesn't go in Hey, that's the guy that shouldn't be taking the shot. It's very. It's very minimal depth and when. You have people that make these decisions. You're almost instead of looking at the resume in Golden State which is on its surface again resume. You'd say Yeah. What like six years? Nicholas gives Scott his shot young team garnered play defense that's hard to do. But I think being next to Jeff. When Jeff runs circles around him on the broadcast. It it might remind go wait why why is this one guy way better talking about the game than the other guy so I think the best thing market do would not be on the broadcast with Jeff and who knows what might happen. So I just think the more we look at it and hey man trust me this is not white guy decide to push back on racism segment because I've. Probably done with those the rest of my life. I'm seeing specific to this one because the NCAA numbers are atrocious. The ABC's the head coaching. Diversity that we have in the pro sports leagues still is not what it needs to be I'm not pushing back on any of those things. But when it comes specific to mark Jackson, there are the informed in the uninformed, and hopefully if you've resisted this, you're more informed now.

Kendrick Perkins rips Joel Embiid over coronavirus concerns

"Joel embiid. That's where we started was. Addressing the media. This week and this is what he said about Cova and going into the bubble amount of big fan of the idea, but then again. You know going to my job. I'm not GonNa let the city down. Oh, I'm GONNA go on. A city. That's what I've always. my family. My teammates. So. He's gotTa The monster doesn't change on. ME. Doesn't matter the fact that I. Don't like that idea and I stood all the new the new bed. I don't think he's GonNa. Be Safer now because I know I'm GonNa do the white things on no I. Don't i. don't ever do anything I'll it to video games. I'm always all I don't do anything, but then again I don't trust. Does OUGHTA GOS-. Do to save saw but like I said I do my job. Yet for lot of these guys. Thank God for Video Games. they not everybody even goes out anymore. A lot of guys just stay in the room and play games so Kendrick Perkins. I think this was on the jump. Address, say say one more time I take I. Take on, I take. This is what he said about Joel. embiid look, do you. WanNa Hoop or not? I don't none of the other contenders complain. Lebron James Lineker Plane I. Don't hear Jason Tatum. Janas complaining and they. Is How they go to defending champion soup. I don't see them complain there by the way they got a tournament. That's going on right now. In Cleveland, Ohio and I'm pretty sure those guys are not gonna be the bubble or they in great situation. They not complaining. They don't know who I don't WanNa yell to me. This is just the do. Get knocked out. This is going to be excused because they're super. Saw was halfway in his mill, wasn't there? I don't know I don't like the ideal. Loop. Here, they're madison billion dollar. Ball. Beverly say. Unfair criticism I love Kendrick Perkins, but that's completely unfair printed. Criticism you're allowed to be. In and we're seeing this throughout sports. You're allowed to be tentative about what's going on, but we all are at this point right, but what's constructive about saying I, don't really WANNA play, but I'll do it. What type of message does that? Send to your teammates to your fans, but he's. Is he not concerned about safety? Isn't that what he's going for? Isn't that what he's talking about? I, don't know. What he said Yeah isn't everyone concerned about safety like him, saying that just kind of like a bad look I feel like. How do you think his teammates? But what should've stream that and what might crop set? Kendrick Perkins Point is if you feel strongly about it, then do it. Avery Bradley. Do what Dover's protons is doing. Do whatever reasons don't you think a lot of these guys are going to try it out? See how it goes, and if it's not going well, they're going to drop out. I don't know I think guys are gonNA drop out of the bubble potentially

Drake Drake, Toronto Raptors And Raptors discussed on Afternoons with Marcellus & Kelvin

"To the NBA. We were just talking about clay in Drake. Well, apparently, the NBA spoke to the Toronto Raptors during the Eastern Conference finals about Drake's activity and presence on the sideline a league spokesman told ESPN's Michelle Steele last year. The NBA warned the rapper who also is a global ambassador for the raptors after a confrontation with then Cleveland Cavaliers center, Kendrick, Perkins friend of these Donald show, by the way, not drink Kendrick during a playoff series between the raptors. And the cast do you believe we have seen the last of the history onyx of Drake? No, he can't help himself. Right. I mean, like because you would think of guy. Drake who has as much access to blank as he has would experience been there done that. And if anything he's gotten worse, like the more famous Drake has become and the bigger star that he's become. He's more out of control of these games is, and especially to that. I mean he's a real fan give him credit for that, like he's a legit raptors. But easy though the raptors. He's never wavered. No. But can you be that big of a fan a superfan win? It's pretty clear you'll jump onto other teams jumps on other teams in other sports. But in, in basketball, he's very much, maintain his raptors fandom. I still think though, there there's got to be a point, though, where Drake needs to settle down. He's got to settle down. Too much fun. I think it's fun. I like now if it was Mark Cuban and owner that's a little different. This Volmer goes wild to love it. I like boomer going different study because bomber doesn't leave his seat, but he's going. But when bomber does that, that just seems like bomber being bomber just being this oughta Drake being drill Drake Drake, as hamming it up. Yes. Drake wants to be seen, like Drake wants to be a part of all this. You know, I mean, I think Drake is in a lotta ways living vicariously as a raptor, doing all that. I mean he's the guy that loves to get in. They were just as living vicariously as Ramco. No, no. But like, you know, he's the guy that loves to do the layup line with, like the Wildcats. Like there's a part of him that wants to live the NBA life. Yeah. And he's living vicariously through the raptors. Like you gotta feel pretty comfortable with that team to give the coaches shoulder. Rub.

NBA warns Drake over 'use of bad language' after Kendrick Perkins incident

"And every market donald mitchell makes me want to watch him every single night to see how he continues to get better ever every night and we've seen in the playoffs already and so they're taking on a strong houston team now utah they're going to beat houston in the series before it is it is quite interesting i it really is and by the way something else compelling about these about these nba playoffs is that i think that we found the new spike lee and we found the new jack nicholson and his name is drake i think we've found exactly who that is now dry it is it is drake who has a mega fan but also works in the front office with the toronto raptors he has his own desk and office in the with the raptors so the nba has worn raptors mega fan about the use of bad language after the rapper and kendrick perkins traded angry words during game one other teams playoff series kiki vandeweghe the nba's executive vice president basketball operations spoke to messiah jury who was the president of the raptors and requisites courtside for toronto's home games there cata center and he's part of that fan base they were jawing face to face so drako's called say all kinds of things about about kendrick perkins and that's becoming of number one fan but number two somewhat actually kind of works around the team so i mean i know he's all into it but man i mean come on is drake the difference between the raptors win or loss clearly not because if this was like a strategy by a you going to get into kindred perkins face and so now let's just rev up the raptors to win game to clear that wasn't the.
