"President Biden doing so far? How's he doing this week? I think he's doing good. I mean, you know, they're giving them all of their own, where most of the equipment that they need. Ukraine is giving them the business, running them out of all of their faith. I mean, their city. Wait a minute. Wait a minute, wait, wait, excuse me, what does Biden have to do with what Ukraine is doing to push back against the Russians? Do you think Biden is involved in it? How would he get the weapons? How are they getting the weapons? Do you think Biden's delivering the weapons to Ukraine? Kendrick. Come on, man. Biden, Biden, Biden gave them the money to get that. They get in the weapons from somewhere else. Yeah, they're getting them from somewhere. How about the three things he said didn't occur about will respond to a chemical weapon in kind and the troops are going to Ukraine and we ought to overthrow the Putin out of you overthrown and then he said those three things didn't happen. Does that concern you, Kendrick? I mean, you know, it's almost like the man can't live there and get a break. He said one gap. One guy. And you're a completely girl. I got you. I mean, come on. You can't, you can't seriously think the man go see everything that's completely honest. No, no, that's true. He's got a lot on his plate. Yes, that's true. We're on this thing in the same thing about dimension that stand off. Right, right. So

"Of course. We got a lot of music news to cover tonight. Of course the drake and kinda thing is still apparently thing and of course other stupid shenanigans from rappers. Another musicians but a bright note kindergar- mosque book yes from the abyss basically and said that you know he is working on new music. He will be releasing soon. He can go months months at a time without a phone. Which i respect is also a lotta easy when you know everybody that you care about is probably directly on your household and also. The biggest bombshell of his speech was this will be his his last coming out and we'll be his last album on top dog which i don't think she'd come to a surprise to anybody because we kinda heard that rumor last year year before that that he started a company. Pg lang with day frey who have previously left And they were going to become business. Partners and kids was gonna folk. They were going to focus on managing and working with kindred cousin from chicago. Baby king with that wasn't confirmed but the confirmation the we got the confirmation that he is leaving. Td which i mean. I guess. I guess it's yes. He did all he could. He felt he did all he could do underneath that umbrella. And that's what top dog and Say the guy that runs a top Punch punch that's what. They both said that the goal was always to help develop Create artist so they can move on and build their own brands. Don't continue their own legacies. But they're still family. And kim said in a statement like you know we're still family like i just moving on to another part of my career and topdog said it best kinder's already made history like there's nothing really else for him to do here. The man has a pulitzer pulitzer pulitzer pulitzer bullets. Have you pronounced a pulitzer. I one thing. I've always respected kinder's catering is definitely one of the artists. Who in between albums. He he goes radio. Silent man the granted you don't have to do. They're like drake doesn't do greg dozens features and you know one off songs. So that's fine. Catering really reminds me the old artists back today. We didn't know what they were doing it between atoms until a single drop exactly so it was dope to see that but it is good. It is interesting to see where it goes from here. I personally right now. Don't see kendrick as being an executive. But i'm pretty sure people back in the late nineties would have said the same thing about j. j. running nothing so it's goes. I don't see him jumping into the executive row right off back after this album. But i can't see coming down the line It was refreshing to hear from it. Blew my theory of him. Retiring out the water and my i looked at kendrick have retired. He didn't really see anything else he could do. You say the man has has a pulitzer you know. He's only rapper with that. Like what really. What else can you do. He has grammy's. I mean you can do is go for e. got franks but it's you know it's good to you know hear from him in a lot of a lot of times now when it comes to releases hype lead up to adams. It's kind of in my opinion very convoluted and just just messy and noisy like okay. What's going on here is coming out now coming. You're talking about gandhi. And it's not coming out like whatever they and push pushback certify loverboy all security pop up say. Hey i'm coming moving on from top dog the way to what you hit song and all the all of those antics pushing back today in all of this waiting for somebody to drop a day he. I'm talking talking about cayenne drake. Because i believe is what they're doing. That's never really been kindred kindred drops a day is coming day and how you need to know look.

Proof of Guilt

"It's time for another installment of sea hunt. It's still alive here on scuba shack radio. In this time we are headed back to season two for episodes. Thirty three titled proof of guilt which premiered exactly sixty two years ago today on august sixteenth. Nineteen fifty-nine in this episode. Mike is in the hawaiian islands where he is working for. A manufacturing company testing out underwater motion picture and television cameras in the opening scene. He is diving with huge film camera. The plankton is up cutting visibility but is also bringing in fish and the man eating sharks we see a number of white tip circling and they're getting closer and closer as mike sees their cold is they're getting too close for comfort so mike decides to head to the shallows when he gets to the pierre he sees a note under water on the slate that says come up. Mike tells us that there is greater threats up there than the sharks when he gets out of the water. Mike is met by lieutenant. Dave cal cal. Coa of the honolulu police department he asks why the new while dave says it wasn't from him. The camera moves to a woman who says it was from her. her name. is sandra otani or sandy. She says she put the no down. There you see. She owns now lua island where she grows. Cultured pearls offshore. Someone is stealing her pearls. And she needs. Mike's mike's help and his cameras to get the evidence that dave needs to arrest them might tell sandy that he won't give her the camera as they only go with him. Sandy smiles until mike's that she wants to go with the cameras that might smooth operator. The scene now shifts to the beach on sandy's island where both sandy and mike are gearing up to assure dive out to the pearl beds. Sandy shows mike the pearl beds in his getting angry underwater as she finds the broken oyster shells as they are walking out of the water. Mike tell sandy that it is the perfect place for scuba. Hit and run. Sandy tells mike that some of the pros have been growing for thirty years. Mike her exactly how they cultivate the pearls. Sandy says that it's a secret that came with her father from japan but since they won't but since she won't tell them the secret should make it up to them with the best dinner he ever had now. The next morning mike is ready to set a trap for the pro robbers. He's hiding in the rocks with a pair of binoculars in his full scuba rig looking for any suspicious activity. He spots a boat but he doesn't see the divers go into the water on the other side of the boat. He does however see their bubbles and heads out with his camera to catch them in the act at the pro beds. Mike hides behind a rock with the cameras. The divers approach as they start to rob the beds. Mike starts to film but he gets careless. He says the sound of the camera alerts. The divers wanted a bad guy circles around in surprises. Mike they get into a fight. The other bad guy grabs the camera and pulls out the film now while the underwater fight is going on. Sandy was watching from the beach and she suspects trouble and his racing to the pro beds with her boat. The bad guys rip mics regulator out of his mouth but as they are scared off by the sound of sandy's boat. Mike is left helpless. Miraculously mike doesn't drown he recovers we see some eagle raising the background as he heads to the surface he's blowing bubbles all the way up we now see the camera resting on the bottom. Mike struggles back on. The boat is gasping for air. A sandy asks him if he is all right in the next scene. Now we see mike lying on a chair. Sandy's giving him not some tea. He says he doesn't want anymore and starts to work on a plan to catch the bad guys lieutenant dave. Sandy says she wants to let them have the pearls. Because they're not worth mike's life. But mike says it's not about the pearls anymore. It's a personal grudge. He needs dave's help to put them on tv now. Mike is going to use the underwater television camera to catch the. The's he shows. Dave how it's going to work as he pans across the island. Just mike points to camera towards dave in. Sandi dave says hey look at the prettiest girl in blue island has sandy strikes. Oppose the camera. And she says she's the only girl on lulu island as mike looks to take off underwater. Sandy gives him a big kiss for luck. And mike says he's never had any better luck back underwater with the tv camera. Mike is waiting for all three villains as they are. Now jumping in the water to steal the pearls but this time one of them has a spear gun. Mike has the tv camera pointed at the pro beds. But there's a problem. The bad guys are coming from the wrong direction and they're not on tv. The ambush mike. Who's only hope is to move maneuver them into the frame of a camera. Chaos prevails as they fight and slash at one. another finally might get them to the pearl beds. The spear gun is fired and strikes the bed. Fortunately sandy is watching and as yells to dave look at this cast off now. The cops are headed to the fight during the fight. Mike's left arm is slashed but he continues fighting pulling a regulator out of one of the bad guys. Mouth just then. He sees the to hawaiian police officers free diving or swimming trucks. And says they look like angels with the odds now even justice prevails and the bad guys lose again in the final scene near back on the shore of an allure island. Mike's arms bandage. Dave asks in the. He needs a ride back to honolulu. Sandy tells dave that mike is going to be on vacation. Dave says the sandy. Nobody likes a cop. Sandy says she will give him the best testimonial but also gives mike. Another big kiss to which mike replies that is the best testimonial in my life. I'm not exactly sure where this episode was filmed for the top side scenes but it sure does look like hawaii however you never know when it comes to television or the movies. The part of sandy was played by nobu mccarthy and kendrick played lieutenant dave calcutta and here's one final interesting tidbit. This episode was remade in the nineteen eighty-seven version of sea hunt and it was titled pearl beds. And just so you know. I'm still trying to get my hands on that. One thousand nine hundred eighty seven series with ron ely. Maybe someday

"Bridges. The album is called. gold digger. Sound the song we're hearing from. It is called motorbike and joining us to talk about this when his radio milwaukee's tariq moody hatred. Hey robyn how you doing all right. The bridges has had such a classic vintage sound over. the years. You know really comes from a different era and on this new album. It still has roots in the past but he kind of mixes it up a bit. Yeah it's a. It's a slight departure. Little more on the Kind of the modern rb sound instead of the traditional rb sound so he spent two years jam nap this place called gold diggers bar hotel and recording studio off the fame Santa monica boulevard in los angeles for less about two years and basically he created a whole new kind of modern. Sam i think that's because of its collaborations. Terrace martin who's best known jazz artis and composer producer. Yeah he has been on an incredible run of collaborations. Robert glassberg ten smart. You mentioned he's also worked with krung been casey. Musk graves. dip the avalanches. And i don't know maybe maybe it was inevitable that he would head more in this direction. It's not a huge departure. His body had been inside the matt and so the organs were thrown away. I've talked about this. Before on the podcast. But what is it with people. Throwing away potentially important pieces of evidence bones. Dna organs has marie condo infiltrated police. Departments don't throw it out and really like don't throw that out when it's a person's body put that shit in a drawer marked potentially important stuff come on and also who cares if his organs were damaged. It's not like anyone would be seeing the organs. Dr gregory sh- monk the president of the national association of medical examiner's told cnn. I have never heard of this practice. Oh you mean they don't teach you to crumple up old newspaper and stuff it into a body at preparing a body for a funeral. School schwank said that even further investigation or examination is needed on the organs. One organised kept behind. Not all of them. In a normal embalming procedure dusting the inside of the body with hardening compound or embalming powder and then filling it with dry cleaned sawdust or cotton mixed with a small quantity of hardening compound. Or embalming powder is what's done especially if there are organs missing but filling a body with newspaper and then lying and saying the organs were placed back in the body is not standard practice. It's also not illegal. But i would file that under no one ever thought they had to explicitly tell professional morticians. They can't treat bodies like a recycling them but here we are guardless. According to the fbi is that kendrick johnson like many of his classmates stored things behind underneath or in the rolled up gym mats. You might be asking yourself why. They didn't just use their lockers. Turns out at lowndes. High in valdosta georgia lockers aren't just free and available to all three thousand students. Nope if a student wanted the privilege of storing their things in a locker they had to rent one. There's no information about this on the school's website and it's not mentioned in their handbook. So i guess it's like first day of ninth grade you show up and you're like high whereas my locker and they're essentially like gimme your lunch. Money kid they also apparently charged for textbooks and this is a growing trend in our country. Let me state that again for clarity. In this country we charge children to learn. For whatever reason kendrick. Johnson who was good with numbers finances had either decided to spend his locker money on something more important or just didn't have enough money in the first place. Normally the mats were stored on their sides and kids would just tuck things inside them and then fish them out when they needed them but over the holiday break. It seems the matt's had been lifted and placed vertically. According to the fbi's theory of how kendrick died most likely. He had put the shoes in the matt when it was laying down flat and came back to find that his shoes were now at the bottom of a vertical matt. The mats were heavy really heavy. It's not like he could easily lifted it.

He was a hurdler power forward and basketball and something called a safety in football. Which i'm going to go ahead and assume is not someone who stands on the sidelines of football game goes. The Death of Kendrick Johnson

"On the morning of january eleventh. Jackie was at her son. School probably hoping he had just spent the night at a friend's house and his phone died and his friends phone died and his friends. Parents phone died and then all the phones on the block died. Because you would tell yourself anything to not think the worst and then you do whatever you can to find them at eight thirty a. m. jackie was in the school guidance. Counselors office at that same moment in the gym. A student was walking on top of a row of rolled up gym mats that were lined up vertically against the wall. Each matt stood almost seven feet high and three feet across making a sort of makeshift walkway. Why anyone was allowed to walk on a seven foot. High vertical rolled up. Jemat is anyone's guess. But in one of the matt's the students saw what looked like feet wearing hanes socks. She called some friends over and when they saw what she saw. One of them screamed lowndes. High head athletic trainer philip pipe. Low and one of the other coaches ran across the gym. Push the mat over on its side and a male's body tumbled out along with blood and vomit pipe blow-back away. The other coach told the students to leave the job at that moment. Back in the guidance counselors office. The phone rang the volume may have been tad too high because coming from the other end. Jackie could clearly hear someone say. They found a body in the gym. The guidance counselor rushed out of the room and jackie sat there probably frozen in terror because in that moment she just knew that body was the body of her son. Kendrick when police. Ems arrived on the scene. They confirmed that the body and the matt was indeed. That of kendrick. Johnson

Bob kendrick were back now. So marnie go ahead. I know you had a question for you. What your mom said is true. What you don't know you don't know so you know my grandfather always say information is currency so if you can inform all you know everybody out there about you know the Rapid museum for sure but about some of the sacrifices and hardships that the players were going through. I mean look anytime you say. I'm gonna go become a professional athlete. People are like. Oh yeah sure right. Okay good batch and then when you add in truly time of what was going on and joining league that no one really truly paying attention to you know when it first started so just amazing and i love you can certainly educate us and on in the museum. What do you think when people when people come to the museum. What is their initial reaction. I i know that they're surprise. Donated know certain things what would you say the takeaway when people leave you hit the nail right on the head. They marnie are amazed what they look. They really are because this is an amazing piece of baseball americana that most of us went through. Our formal education without knowing is not in the pages of american history book so there was no chance for us to learn this so this is a brand new history for the majority of the people who come to visit the major league baseball museum and yes they are absolutely blown away or what they they are. Maize are what they learn and to be quite frank guys they leave a little bit dismayed by the fact that just now had an opportunity to learn this. Why didn't i know this when i was in school. You really do you leave questioning. Why didn't i know this answer is really simple. American historians did us all a tremendous. Disservice kept us wonderful chapter baseball at americana away from us and so it was almost like it didn't happen and we're here. It tell you not only did it happen. It happened in granted ios acid. And so yeah. It's an amazing place where you literally walk out of here. Cheering the power of the human spirit to persevere in prevent so it's nothing sad or somber about this story. I do think people expect that it will be because we know that. This story is anchored against the backdrop of american segregation. A horrible chapter in this country as as always remind people is the story here is out of segregation. Rose is wonderful story of triumph in conquest. And it's all based on one small simple principle. You won't let me play with you in just create a league amount. I love that i love. I love the lotus flower. Because it really does bloom through all this like. It's hard to you know load. This really has resilience and then it blows through the the swamp the vase of wherever it is negative his score. Or how did that happen. Well you know wanted to it really have mission to be part of something and again created its own routes and adult legacy and then bloomed iso. I was excited to share with the sherry with gusts. 'cause i know were truly the gatekeeper of heart on in history. That talk about the that got us. Is pittsburgh guy talking about your city. I've gotten getting ready to ask you buy me that history lesson on the pittsburgh crawford's oh man your city does we're talking had as much black baseball history as in and it goes back even prior to the crawford's to the legendary homestead grace. Yes got theirs right down the road from pittsburgh. The homestead grays came into existence in one thousand nine hundred fifty nine hundred. Fifteen through a guy named cumberland posey and cumberland. Posey is a name that people probably don't know but should know because competent posey hose distinction of being into sports major sports halls of fame. Come and bo might be the best basketball player in this country at one point nine and he's into basketball hall of fame in springfield and he's also in the national baseball hall of fame in cooperstown bills that homestead grays team and to one of the greatest baseball franchise is not in black baseball history but in baseball history. And then gus greenlee creates the pittsburgh crawford's and you almost had them a civil war in between those two story franchises and man they were going after each other and gus greenlee had a lot of money. And you know cumberland. Posey had come into money and they were taking each other players and forth and so they were jumping ship but the fan base in pittsburgh they were getting to see some of the best baseball ever played and a stop. How we're talking shooter star power. That was there in pittsburgh. Black baseball history. When you start talking about between both teams josh gibson. Smokey joe williams coup papa. Bail satchel paid bulk leonard. You know willie foster ted double duty radcliffe. I mean the names of megastars who call at pittsburgh area home at one point in time and then the he'll the he'll was dumped. Oh yeah that he'll was dumping. And so yes. Pittsburgh clays such a prevalent role in this story and while the cropper's were shortly they didn't have a long long shelf life. The homestead grays would become one of the greatest baseball franchises again. I'm black baseball history but in baseball history at one point one nine consecutive opinions negro league world series and then they would eventually lead the pittsburgh area and relocate to dc at another one of your one of your other stopping grounds and so they were playing at griffith stadium in white see and they were outdrawing. The washington senators while filling up the ballpark yet. They were filling up the ballpark. But yet your neck of the woods man has always seen great black baseball. Of course you have disparate currier there which was essentially the african american usa. Today it was a pittsburgh based paper but it was a national paper really brought this to life. You know that whole scene.

"Back to where they grew up you know. Their mom never changed their house. I mean i have my favorite card. I have is roberto clementi rookie card and a gentleman. Who was an attorney in in nashville tennessee. I went to dinner with them. It he said. Hey i want to give you this. And he gave me an envelope in had the card in it. And i'm like i opened it up. And he knew him for pittsburgh and i'm a huge pirate fan and he said i want you to have this said i can't take this card from you. Like this is like he goes now. I went home. My mom passed away and it went to my bedroom shoe and been back there in like twenty five years. He said and everything was exactly the same he needs said. I wonder if my cards are still in a shoebox and all his cards were still in a shoebox in a closet. She never touched a thing. Said i want you to have this. And i said are you sure. And he said yes. I want you to have it. So i was like. That's like my greatest gift i've ever gotten. It's it's amazing a shreds how you feel the time when you get those night also think about all those cars that i had that i put in spite of my boys try answered. Henriette check out those now so great about sports. Is that like a little piece of paper can bring so many memories and remind you of such beautiful times fun time so you know to think about just i have my son stop right here just to be like just doing this action of throwing a ball glove and then all the stuff that happens when you do that. It really is magic. Obviously we all have mended where. I grew up in philadelphia at the time. The eagles and the phillies shared the stadium. So daughter of a single working mother and yeah. Her office happened to be at the vet so in the dog days of summer. When there's football going on. I was hungry and you wander over to the phillies side and they would take me in. And that's how. I learned to love baseball by watching having a a coca cola and a hotdog and watching tug mcgraw and mike schmidt and bob boom throw a baseball around and just simple things like that. It really amazing. No they are and that sports in general baseball in particular it the romantic nature of baseball. It leads us to measure times in our lives. Perhaps more so than any of the other sports you know. That's the beauty and magic baseball it. Oh people remember the places you're never going to your first baseball game and typically whoever your favorite baseball player was as a kid going to be your favorite baseball player the rest of your life you know baseball and i think the negro leagues is part of that lor and that romanticism as people have now learning about these leaks you know but as my mother said you don't know what you don't know and so is our job to bring this history to the forefront so that people get an opportunity to know about these legendary athlete who jeff love playing this game. "All of us guys on. I have a really good friend. Who had that and he survived. So i really want to support that. So thank you manscaping. And today we have two guests with us which we haven't had in a while so i'm really excited we have My co host back Marnie schneider who we had on the show. Many times She's written many books. Football freddie and fumble the dog as we know those those books i think marnie. You just told me that you just finished one for dallas fort worth area or you renamed it. I did well. We you know the updated in a little bit so it's game day in dallas and fort worth. Were really excited about that added. It's really great. Hot spots in the fort worth area and of course lots of history and then again dan tampa bay will be out in the very near future probably within the next six weeks. I'm really excited about. They'll be a big super bowl trophy on top of that one right. I see fumbled just like sleep and right beside it. So but you know actually. They probably weighed about the same amount because the super bowl trophy the embargo only way seven pounds but the whole story goes takes an entire team an entire city in entire community to lift it up so if all of our guests aren't sure marnie some grandfather was let her toes who owned the philadelphia. Eagles Her mom was one of the women who broke the glass ceiling. S we say Was the first gm in the nfl so Her mom has done so many great things that i'm so excited to have marnie on and today we have one. I'm arnie's good friends on Joining us today as bob. Kendrick bob kendrick. Is the president of the negro league baseball museum. I don't know how many years you've been there box. I think you were there for a while. You left and you came back. But i am so excited. Talk to you a little bit about old school base by collect old vintage baseball cards. So it's right up my alley. How're you doing. Today bob goes. I'm doing great man. Thanks so much for having me on your show. Money's great to see you as well as good to be with both you. Yes thank you bob. So you know. The show's really simple. We we we wanna ask. You buy know you grew up in. I think it was crawford georgia right robert. Vito offered ville georgia. So tell me about growing up there and what wins a first memory. You have of how you fell in love with sports was because of a relative or did you have an idol. What was that moment for. You started early. I'm the youngest of six boys and so all of my brothers were involved in sports. My father loves sports. So it i think inherently it came down to me. You know even though the brother. That's close to me ten years older than i am. I got to steal watch them engaged and involved with seemingly was some kind of sports equipment going back to as early as i remember four or five years old shooting hoops on a bicycle rim or and as long as there was an old as they would call it. A large can in a country that was mailed to the side of wood frame house. Our wood-frame house that i was you baskets before i even ever had my first real ball or basketball goal and so but you know the same thing you made up quick mid growing up and you made up a games and everything else but sports have always been a part of my childhood and interesting now now. Sports history makes up so much of my like today. Oh it does. And i think that i mean. I've watched several interviews that you've done with people and it's been amazing the knowledge. You have just rolls off your tongue. And and the history of of the game of baseball and the negro leagues. It's been amazing. And i love to watch all that history and all the videos that you guys created there so marnie. Tell me a little bit about how you know bob and how you guys met. So i was doing some work with minor league baseball and helping them kind of build a program to get kids in different communities to enjoy the game of baseball. Obviously being a professional baseball player something that is a big long shot but getting the opportunity to go to games and experienced. That was something that really excited me. And then once. I figured like if they had a little taste of going to a game and enjoying it at the minor league level. Maybe they'd wanna play it because i love when kids place wards and. It's always fun and so on. I had the opportunity to reach out to bob and he was so gracious and said okay. This is something that. I love what you're doing and here in kansas city. We got a great minor minor league teams in a great museum and bothered. I had started putting together some of the infrastructure to bring kids from underserved communities to kansas city to experience. What in my mind. And i know what bob you know is is building their kansas city. One of the great historical pieces of our country and so we didn't get to bring the kid there yet. We're still working on that part of it Love hearing bob story than he is a historian whether it's male female. I've been doing some research also like on female baseball player in the negro leagues in it. So interesting and you know. Bob is such a gracious guy. That i'm like. Oh bob tell me about maybe anderson or tell you the best and yeah i would probably keep him on the phone for hours and hours and he's got a lot of people to take care of. You're running hits and having them experienced the museum. Bob is put together in kansas city. Is something really exciting for me. And i know the bob loves to be the host of this beautiful facility that he has right there in kansas city and has shared means a lot of the growth. They had so. I'm lucky that between major league baseball minor league baseball. Bob and i came together. Yeah we'll have to get a fumble. The dog baseball book cohen. I think it'd be great. So so bob did not fumble. Yeah right right. I like that. I like that so bob you know you talk about playing basketball and the old hoops like you. Were talking about just using a bicycle. Ram for that. I mean a lot of people done that. I've seen that growing up but we also played many other sports. My dad worked at a mill called. Ppg here in pittsburgh and he used to bring just broom sticks home and felt and we would cut. We'd cut balls out of felt and that's what we used to play with a lot. So tell me about your experience at all the sports that you played growing up. We're primarily guys we. We tried to play everything that was in seasons. And crawford bill keeping my crop deal within as we say the city limits only five hundred people so a very small town and so my high school only offered basketball and track and field and so anybody who knows me knows that i don't believe in running just for the sake of running having served with you on that one to play basketball but as a kid. We played baseball football basketball. You know we even try to mimic and create our own version of golf. We had no golf courses. No golf clubs anything. But he decided to emulate. What you see. A basketball was really how i ended up getting the kansas city and so ended up playing a couple of small couple of a couple of years of small college basketball here at park college now part university in a any level basketball how in the world they found. Crawford georgia i will never know but they did ended up coming out to the mid west but again as a you just wanted to play everything that was in season and we tried to immolate everybody that we saw playing the game. You know when. I play ball. I was hitting.

Top 10 players signed by Patriots

"Talk about the Patriots. The the Patriots grabbed everybody's attention by making move after move after move after move. Like we're watching it over agency going off. How many people are going to bring in its kind of unbelievable how many starters they've added? And so I count they added ten players that I think are very very significant to their team next year. In fact, I would say pretty clearly the Patriots are back and a lot of people saw this coming, you know, but they are going to be a force in the NFL next year here is my list my nerdy list of the ten players the top players. They added that are very significant to their roster next year. The first two are massive. It will reshape the entire Patriots offense. They added two tight ends Johnny Smith and Ed Hunter Henry. To Johnny Smith signed from Tennessee. He signed a four year deal worth up to fifty million dollars. That's Thirty one point two five million dollars guaranteed and he's only twenty-four years old. So that's Monday. That's a really gigantic Marquis franchise player. He cited the reason why it came to New England is cuz he loves Bill Belichick. He's got great respect for him. And I want to point out of all the everybody I'm about to talk about these shows to be in New England Bill Belichick got his kind of guys who sought out New England wanted to be there and wanted to work hard and win a Superbowl. I think it matters. It's very very exciting. These are not with Josh Gordon's or what's the other example Phillip Dorsett who they made a move for and they're not really like that. You think they fit they don't work out know. These are guys who all chose to be in New England who wanted to win a Superbowl. I really want to win a Superbowl. These guys went out of their way to be New England now the other tight and they brought in With twenty-six-year-old tight end Hunter Henry from the LA Chargers got a three-year deal twenty-five million dollars guaranteed. It's worth up to thirty seven point five million dollars total if he meets all those incentives. They also added two wide receivers the Patriots brought in Nelson agholor to a you got a two year twenty six million dollar contract East twelve years old. Now a lot of people do not like this move and I I get it Nelson agholor is not the most flashy player in the NFL but I think if it's very well with Cam Newton, he's good at he's not going up and getting the ball. He's got good hands did some stuff of the Raiders that I think deserves your attention go watch what he did with the Raiders and I just I'm like, huh a lot of good plays. Okay. I understand. I see the potential Bill Belichick and the Patriots would see and Nelson agholor go will give the guy a good contract, especially considering the Patriots have like our desolate at wide receiver. They need help. They got home. Who is awesome but he can't do everything by himself from the slot. They have n'keal Harry who n'keal Harry. I I think he's going to pop. I think he's going to progress and keep getting better. But she's not a number one right now. So on top of the page where it's also added Kendrick Bourne guy from my local area actually went to Eastern Washington University 25 years old. He's coming from the San Francisco 49ers. He got a three year deal worth twenty two point five million dollars. Now another thing the Patriots did they also added they signed Center Ted carriages and they traded for tackle Trent Brown. So this is the new Patriots offense right now. They've receivers Nelson agholor, Julian Edelman Kendrick born and kill hair is its own nuclear Aguilera. I'm doing my best. It's a hard game to say. They also have Sony Michelle running backs for any receivers Sony Michelle at running back and improved offensive line. Cam Newton at quarterback who I get why people doubt Cam? He's a former NFL MVP and with when you put cams Talent with a lot of weapons including two outstanding tight ends Hunter Henry Smith, right man. I'll tell you what I look at the Patriots offense and think two things immediately number one. Everything is going to run through their brand new Titans. Their entire offense now is probably going to drive down the seams of the field right up the middle. They're going to use our tents heavily lot of play-action again. I am scheme wise things will look a lot like the page words did back in the day when they had drunk and Aaron Hernandez together to start tight ends. Now number two. I feel very very confident with Cam Newton as the Patriots quarterback and it surprised me but I want to remind you that two years ago. Tom Brady was the page word starting quarterback and did basically nothing and the reason was there were no weapons there. He kept running into the same brick wall. His receivers weren't good enough. So, how can I think you and I would both agree. I like Cam Newton Tom Brady's a better quarterback than Cam Newton. So my point is if Tom Brady couldn't make it work with New England's roster. How was Cam Newton supposed to succeed? He was set up to fail will now Cam Newton's being given weapons is being set up to do. Well, I'm excited man. He's a former NFL MVP, he's hungry. I I personally believe Cam Newton's going to have an awesome year and it really is going to make extended one-year deal with like it was like three and a half million dollars with a bunch of incentives. I honestly think we're gonna look back at his contract at the end of next year and go. Can you believe the deal they got on Camden he played so well for no money. I really think he's he's a guy who can didn't play well enough wage. Last year to earn a new gigantic contract. So he's going to have to show what he can do this year and maybe earn more money next year but I think cam is poised to do very very well and make a lot of money and win a lot of games in New England

Grocery and household item service products previously available in pantry will now be available like any other products on amazon. So it's not going away to gather but the service itself prime pantry launched in twenty fourteen offering reduced shipping on up to forty five pounds of household goods for a monthly fee. Amazon node vied prime pant pantry subscribers about the closure in december and then issued refunds the. Uk's competition and markets authority launched an investigation into google's privacy sandbox. That would block third party. I three ten ten eleven ten one. one zero. You eight gigs. Ram and one hundred twenty five gigs of storage for six hundred ninety nine dollars a shortage of semiconductors affecting automakers. Volkswagen said last month that they needed to adjust first-quarter manufacturing plans around the globe because of the shortage. Now honda says it will cut domestic output by about four thousand cars this month at one of its factories in japan nissan is adjusting production numbers for its note hatchback model and ford has moved up previously planned downtime at a kentucky plant for its sport utility vehicle factory to the jin chips all right. Well we're talking about cars. Let's talk about the the apple car. Yeah a lot of rumors as of late will really over the last few years. But but but the rumors had resurfaced recently and hyundais. Now talking to apple about kerr's so says the company hyundai representative told cnbc quotes. We understand that apple isn't discussion with a variety of global automakers including hyundai motor as the discussion is at its early stage. Nothing has been decided. Korean economic daily said that apple suggested the arrangements and hundred was reviewing the terms that involved e production and also battery development hyundai has had his own battery platform called e. g. m. p. going into production later this year. So might be saying what you're doing. Reuters sources say that apple would like to produce a passenger vehicle by twenty twenty four however might not be that date bloomberg's mark gurman reports in thomas e. v. from apple is five to seven years away and michio recently said he wouldn't be surprised if it takes until twenty twenty eight. Yes what's probably going on. Here is apple and i think this significant part has decided to start investigating how they would build. Whatever it is. They're going to build whether it's a whole car or an integrated platform and they're going to different manufacturers and parts suppliers and folks like magna including hyundai. And saying what are you got. How can you help us with this. And is a great company for this because they make parts they make systems. They make full cars. There's all kinds of services in the conday company that could play a part with apple so it may not be. That apple knows what they want from hyundai. It may just be that they're going and saying hey let's talk. You do a lot of the kinds of things that we think we're going to need. I'm pretty excited about this. I just got my first hyundai ever this year and my perception of this story was weight but hyundai currently uses android auto and a lot of their their cars. So i would love to see. How apple would integrate Hyundai's current technologies into something that is very useful for that apple ecosystem not just looking at e itself but also the The the systems inside of it the controls in how they would manage that four a driver and a passenger in the car. Yeah i mean. I think that's one of the big questions that i have is okay. Let's say let's say it's hyundai that that applet ended up working with with clearly not set in stone at least from what we know at this point. But let's say it's the companies for kicks. Let's imagine that that's what it is. Yeah it is. It is an apple car that hyundai produces a lot of parts for the way that works with lots of other companies to produce other hardware for apple. I mean that that's the loftiest kind of goal that we're looking at and maybe that would take till twenty twenty eight at you know if if apple was lucky. I think it probably has more to do with like you said shannon not that you know android auto wouldn't still be prevalent in a lot of passenger vehicles but maybe at some sort of it's a special relationship. It's it's a special kind of os inside a car that is supposed to you. Know i don't know move some merch because What apple is providing on the software side is is. Is that much more interesting. I really don't know if you look at that. Bloomberg article mark gurman sources are saying that Tesla people that apple has hired are working on things like interior exterior. Drive train stereo. Desist the kinds of things. You need when you're building a car not carting a software platform so then the question becomes is it the apple car period. Maybe hendaye makes it. Maybe somebody else makes it. And you know they'll figure out how to distribute it or is it the apple car by sunday and you go to hyundai dealership to buy it the way you went to an. At and t. store to an apple iphone but it's really apples car in cooperation with sunday. Are there multiple partners. I mean that's all the kind of stuff we're waiting to see but it really does feel like we have gotten to the point where this is no longer just yeah. They're working on project titan. They don't know what they're gonna do to. They have an idea. It's more than just software and they're working out the details. Maybe they don't even know that yet. Well i'm interested to see what happens but we also have some other news. Security among the systems impacted by the solar winds attack is the electron filing system. Used by the us federal courts at investigation is underway to determine if confidentiality of documents filed with the courts was breached and as a result starting wednesday confidential documents filed with the courts will be stored on standalone systems. Not uploaded big difference so these are documents sealed from public access because they contain sensitive information like investigative techniques identities of informants and a lot more other. Us federal agencies affected included the justice department the state treasury and energy departments as well solar winds has engaged. The krebs stay most security consulting group to help deal with this attack. That firm was formed by alex. Stamos the former chief security officer at yahoo and facebook and chris krebs the former director of the us cybersecurity and infrastructure security agency or sisa. So krebs was fired last month. By the president after finding no evidence of with voting systems in the twenty twenty election. Yeah stamos first of all brilliant for those two to team up and smart for solar winds to engage them for what they say is Helping with transparency with companies that are affected But this we we are not done finding out how bad this is. There are reports that there may have been other ways that this whoever is behind this intruded beyond just solar winds. They're finding evidence of that. They have not been able to root out the people that got into this vulnerability from all systems yet. They're still in there in a lot of cases. And you know this. This kind of confidential information is exactly the kind of thing you fear that someone would get intruding into a government system informants investigative techniques that you can now learn from to evade being prosecuted or caught yourself. That's that's crown jewel type stuff it's it's very interesting. In fact krebs spoke on record saying that it could potentially take years to figure out how deep the solar winds attack actually went and how many different kinds of infrastructure. You know brands and everything that it might have affected so this is not something. That's going to die anytime soon. I'm glad that they are reaching out. Craig's and stay most though because that i agree with you tom. It's excellent. excellent team roku made a few interesting announcements roku says. Npd data shows that the roku s was the top selling smarter operating system in the us and canada in two thousand twenty thirty one percent market share in canada. Thirty eight percent in the united states That's pushed the samsung's tizen number two. At least we don't actually know samsung's ties and was number. One in two thousand nineteen also announced a wireless soundbar reference design that uses wifi for its roku. Tv ready program remember. Last year roku announced the program which had a designed for wired. Sound bars. The program includes tcl. Pokemon on an element has just announced. They'll join as well with two point. Two point one ready sound bars roku tv ready to expand internationally later this year as well. But here's the big roku news roku has agreed to acquire exclusive global distribution rights to more than seventy five Shows documentaries some of which had not been released before qube shutdown. So there'll be some new stuff that nobody's ever seen after their exclusivity deal expires. That'll happen in a bit more than a year. Depending on the show roku will still have the rights to show the content just not exclusively until thousand twenty seven the content will have to be presented in original increments of ten minutes or less. The deal doesn't let them stitch it altogether. The content will be added to the more than forty thousand movies and tv shows already available. In the roku channel shows include from Be anyway punked. Murder house. Flip and dummy which stars anna kendrick. I never watched the new punk. I heard had its moments. The whole qube thing. It's really interesting to me because it was sort of like. It crashed and burned so quickly. And there's a lotta shot and friday around folks in the industry about it. And i think that's not because qube was doing things wrong. It was because the company had raised so much money time. Because you know. They had meg whitman. Jeffrey katzenberg who are you know. Heavy hitters and there was a little bit of like you are being to embassies and therefore you shall fail. The company did fail and the idea that some creators will have a new life on another platform shows. That just don't even saw but people still worked on. And maybe you're really good. I think this this makes a lotta sense and good for roku to get exclusivity for at least a few years so does roku have to wait at all in order to start showing this content or can happen immediately. I don't know when the start date. Whenever the deal is you know goes into effect. Then they'll immediately be able to to show it so you know within a month or so it would be my guess anyway but no they. They don't have once. The deal is actually in effect. They don't have to wait. What's going on here. is that the baby. Production companies own the rights to their own stuff but they have a two year exclusive for each one of their shows with qube and those two year exclusives are now being transferred to roku so roka will be able to have the exclusive for the remainder of whatever. The period was with quick. That's why it's more a year. Exclusively goes away then they still have the right to show it until twenty twenty seven but the production companies that made it can now start shopping at around to other places as well so the production companies do hold the content and remember this is just the content. Qube is still in a over. Its turnstile technology which is holding it up from selling its technology and i would expect once it resolves that lawsuit should resolve it in a way that they still hold their technology. They'll sell that to so this isn't the last you're going to hear could be selling off a part of it. I would imagine. Gotcha yeah that whole. The whole technology part of qube was again was an ambitious thing that was released at a very inopportune time in twenty twenty when everyone was like. We're just sitting at home like we don't need this like mobile phone technology. It's like cool that you can shifted around but you can't even cast thing. I mean the company did fix that pretty soon after allow about she was just. I mean it's just did. The timing couldn't be worse but that technology when you think of it in a variety of other form factors such as monitors that swivel talked about some of those yesterday. I don't know that qube or tiktok or snapchat or all of the stuff where we're like. Oh yeah that's the. That's the portrait view. Rather than landscape view. That works for certain apps is is is all that this is four. I think there's more to it So we'll see what happens and there's patents and things that are always valuable because you can use those to extract some concessions and money and stuff. So yeah expect that all to come join the conversation in our discord which you can join by linking to a patriotic. Can't get in there and talk about your favourite qube shows with all the other discord folks. Just lincoln to your patriotic out at patriotair dot com slash. Dpd s all right shannon. How do you clone a security key. Well i i will say please do not stop using your security keys because of this story i will explain it. Researchers from ninja lab published a paper on thursday showing how you could clone a google tightened security gate this is a two factor authentication key which is very similar to a you. Be key that you have to plug in or tap in order to access an account after putting in your username or your password credentials. Were both so in order to pull off the clone. You would need physical access to the key for about ten hours. Sometimes a minimum of ten hours just kind of depends on how good you are at this. About twelve thousand dollars worth of equipment physical equipment and custom software and some advanced skills in electrical engineering and cryptography as well. So you have to remove the chip and then take measurements of it at a being registered on each account that you went to attack the measurements observe electro magnetic radiation as the chip generates digital signatures that let the attacker slowly deduced the private key so measurements take about six hours per account. That's not including taking apart. The original tighten security key putting it back together. Then you need to seal the chip back into its case. You also need the targets password in order for this to work. So the reason it works is because of vulnerability in the security hardware chip residing within the google titan key and that is called an eighty seven hundred x by this company called. Xp if it's exploited in attacker could grab the elliptic curve cryptographic private key for the account and the same chip is actually found in other two factor. Authentication physical tokens as well like There's a ubiquity that it's found in but chances of attack or very very minimal given the scope of the attack so if you do all of this without the target ever noticing then they would never duplicated key but again given the scope given how much it costs and everything behind the scenes probably when it happened to normal user. The point of these security keys being the best way to use For two factor. Is that you can't even get at your private key right you. Nobody has to be able to get in there like the chip. Just doesn't make it available so the fact that they were able to get in there and get it is huge. You know the fact that they were able to do this is significant. But i mean if you're not a target of an advanced persistent threat. You don't need to worry about this. No one's going to go to the trouble to do this. And even if you're a target. I would guess shannon that most of them probably would be able to notice if someone took their key for ten hours or more you. You likely likely would especially since a lot of people with hardware tokens like google titan will stick them on a on their keychain for example like with their house keys or whatever wherever they keep all those personal physical devices that they don't want lost or stolen they keep them all on engaging so if somebody was to take one of these out of your purse out of your gym locker wherever it might be and remove it for like ten hour street minimum. You would likely know that this would have happened. the neat thing about these chips inside of these. Google tightened security keys. And any other cryptographic hardware tokens like these is that. Even the manufacturer doesn't know the private key so the fact that they were able to find vulnerability on these specific chipsets is really interesting. And i think that's the important bit of that. Is is even though the google titan like the end all be all of really excellent. Two factor authentication. There's always. The potential that vulnerabilities can be found. So i'm happy that this research came out. It's so fascinating and it's so interesting in this means that an x. p. and other security chipset manufacturers that sell these teeny tiny chips to google or whoever the company might be They can build on this. They can research and figure out what the next version of their chipset needs to entail in order to not be vulnerable to this again in the future. Yeah i mean this is really a good security story right. We finally figured out because there's always a way right. We finally figured out the way you get the private key out of a security key and guess what it's really hard takes a long time and now that we know it we can make it even harder and hopefully you know push that barrier out even further and even if somebody did have time to do this and you didn't notice i was reading the paper because i'm a huge nerd and they go as far as using fuming fuming nitric acid in order to get like melt the epoxy off of the original google titan. How are you going to put that back together. In order for somebody to not notice like there's a lot of intricacies with this attack in order for it to actually be pulled off so chances are very very slim that somebody would be able to pull off so again as i said at the very beginning. Don't stop using your google tightened security key if you have one keep using it because chances are you would never be attacked with this. Just just know if you haven't seen it in ten hours look together strange. This is going to be in a movie though. I'm calling that shot right now. We're gonna we're gonna see this movie. Where like i hope so. Somebody goes into surgery and they take his key and they go out and do all this and they slip it back in because ten hours later. He wakes up from anesthesia on something like that. I just hope they talked to the researchers so they actually show it off right. Yeah Sony tv and audio announcements Starting with details for its own tv lineup. Sticking with lead ravi x four k and k. Tv's will support four k at one hundred twenty hertz variable refresh rate vr as well as a l l m low latency mode and e arc. These are all things that are important. If you've got a ps five now you've got sony. Tv they can go. That sony also has an improved a chip that is going to improve the picture and sound positioning. So it aligns with what you see on the screen. Sony's master series. Tv's will come with a sensor that adjusts white balanced immense. Your ambiente color temp. You don't have to do anything they'll just do it. Also an aluminum heat shield. That will make for brighter. All the sets will support. Hdmi two point one. Another big one for ps five dolby vision hdr angle tv. Sony also announced. It's three hundred sixty reality audio platform if you're not familiar with three hundred sixty degree audio places instruments and vocals in a virtual sound field around your head but using just the one speaker so you can do this in an amazon echo or google. Home sony will start streaming video with three sixty audio later this year. Starting with concert from zara larsson on january eleventh. And somebody's gonna make speakers that support this. It'll be may supported by other speakers as well. But sony is going to put out the are five thousand and three thousand They've got that dark cloth. Surface that all these speakers seem to have these days with either bronze or silver accents. Work with google and amazon assistance and can connect to select sony abroad via. Tv's as well as supporting wi fi bluetooth. Spotify connect in google cast. The speakers do automated calibration to the room. They're in donut. The press a button for that. Either and we'll simulate three hundred sixty degree audio for stereo tracks as well. The five thousand cost five hundred pounds or five hundred ninety nine euros no. Us price yet on the three thousand two hundred eighty pounds. Three hundred fifty nine euros. This seems this. Seems like it's shaping up to be one of the trends. Is this the sort of three hundred sixty degree audio while you're listening to your black bank and it's just one speaker or potentially a couple of speakers ativan. Maybe yeah yeah already supported. Yeah there's less of kind of like What do i have to do. Five point one surround or at least get a couple of speakers and make them a stereo pair type thing. I really haven't heard this in. I don't know. I used to hang out at magnolia at best. Buy all the time. And just like geek out on stuff like this. of course. this technology wasn't around at the time. But it's really come on. Let's turn on some stuff and see the speakers. Do it works well. Then that's awesome my first reaction because i got rid of my kind of pants speakers some years ago because friend of mine needed them more than i did and i didn't have room in my apartment but i miss that i'm also an a. A permanent now that's smaller and kind of has a lot of weird angles and i find audio bounces off walls in wiz. That wouldn't if it was more of a square box broom So i'm not sure that i'm the perfect target market for this. You're the you're the one puts this through its paces and sees if it really works. Yeah if i could actually work as advertised again with some funny angles in a big old frame. Then i'm i'm really into this and i've always been. I don't have a sony. Tv currently sorry zony. But i was abroad. Bravi a person for years. Nears i think what the new bravi line is coming out with. Looks really nice. And i mean not totally in the market for a new tv. But i like the fact that i might get a new sony again paired up with a sony speaker. You got three six. Yeah already got all this stuff. It's going to be a messed anyway. You slice it. But i like. I like this to be sixty reality audio platform. What would you have set up in your house. I was straight up going to mention sonos because if if it doesn't have the connectability to be able to work with all of my other platforms that currently have invested in. Then chances are i wouldn't buy it. So i do have sono says in my house and i do have some issues connecting those with other speakers in the household to like like my google hub for example so the fact that this works with google and amazon assistant the speaker specifically The audio speakers. I think that's pretty cool. I like that. They are bringing that in and i am interested because i do live in a household. That has very high ceilings. How this would work in that kind of environment. So yeah. I'm very interested in the audio aspect. Well you might also be interested in what colour has come out. Oh yes the folks who make things like toilets and and sinks and lots of appliances however. Been a real. Cas mainstay for the last few years for some cool innovations and this year is no different. Even though we're not in vegas koehler has a new smart bathtub called the stillness bath. That lets you use an app or use your voice using google or amazon's assistance to fill up the water or perhaps set the mood by changing the color of the lights around the tab or even add some fog. You know you wanna kind of pretend like you're in the then present routines also turn on features in a certain orders if you wanna get kind of creative. that's cool. Yeah the certain amount of limitations with the base model and the base model is not cheap so temperature and depth control models alone will cost around eight thousand six hundred ninety eight dollars. That's right it's almost nine thousand dollar bathtub. If you want the experience tower that lets you activate fog and aromatherapy. That will run you just over ten thousand dollars. Both models are available in july. There are real things and if you want the version with lights and floor grades for overflow fifteen thousand nine hundred ninety eight dollars available. This october signed me off. I won't be buying those. Nope not even a little bit but we could have taken a bath at s in the new in the pre show roger was like. Why would you want fog. It's like this. Why does anyone want to be on. Yeah racist luxury suites in hotels for sure as well as apple's houses sure yeah something well. Yeah it's it's that like hey look at what my bath can do people go. Wow very fancy and then you know ten years from now will be like remember when we thought it was fancied to talk to your bathtub so that it would start filling up without touching it but Yeah it's it's somewhat silly because of the price. But i'm not really much of a bath person but they do look very nice all right. Let's check out the mail bag but ads do it. Nick wrote in with a pronunciation. Ramps own neck. You are not alone he says. Ac's rog is an initial list. Because it's our og like fbi or cia. People say ron yet. They're lower end gaming brand tough not initially them. It's an acronym like scuba or produce you f but pronounced off. It's like ace's can't make up their name minds. Then there's strict which is our subbrand strikes as a word it's a completely nonsensical made up word. But it's a word and you pronounce it as such nick as honestly as somebody. That buys a lot of hardware. Because i've rarely had a bad experience with them over the past twenty years. I am baffled by some branding decisions. The one the bugs me. The most is the strict subbrand. Sometimes acis makes the tricks products. The high end product in the product stock yet other times. It's a mid range product. Would it be too much to ask for consistency and product. Branding twenty twenty one. Yes apparently apparently we feel your pain. Nick i love the dichter's just like i just need to vent you guys.
