"They got to see more of the city and a lot of the city. Amazing clear night. Yes incredible views and then out of nowhere. A fireworks show to be surrounded by lesbians. From all over the tri-state area. We met people from all over who had come in for that. Yeah incredible lovely evening so lovely. Yeah and it wasn't too crowded you know. Some people might be worried still with with covert and whatnot. I don't know you'd have to ask them about their their limitations in terms of capacity but I think more people should go. Then it'd be a real party but the weather was so gorgeous that we thought we'd be dancing on the boat but it was like the perfect weather evening that a lot of us were just outside hanging out and admiring the the fresh new york air. I mean we were right up on lady liberty we could. We see her laugh. Lines some close. Yeah i mean does it get gayer than the yacht full of lesbians. Tell me carolyn. What is the best thing for you. Then possibly equal. I don't know i mean yeah. Full of lesbians is is pretty gay and when we say lesbians it's like inclusive. I mean yeah they. Weren't you know checking our status card. So if you're listening to this the last time we'll mention it on the show and there are still a few tickets left. And if you're in New York please come out to it. It's going to be such a great time. Our lineup is killer and Dan. I will sail the names now because we're close enough that I'm confident that everyone's going to be there. And it includes past guests. Emma Wellman Nicky. Palumbo Taylor Tiga. Just just Solomon Amano Husseini Knicks knocked turn not a past guest a Broadway singer liquidity. Shell pringle and pass guests Kelly Quinn and and of course their baby girl who's bringing a special guest along with them for the performance. Oh I am so pumped for this show. That's going to be. It's going to be amazing. It's is going to be so queer and so wild and and also beautiful. It's going to have all the things can have laughter. We did bring in some Broadway singers so that there's who's nice classic holiday elements to it. Absolutely you're gonNA live. You're GONNA laugh and you're GonNa Love Yeah ultimately yes. It's going to be all the things the l award promised it would be a holiday but it's better yeah Gayer honestly than the l word. I'll say yeah we'll be wealthy. Yeah and you know. Also I don't know maybe this will be the biggest name of all that gets you to come out but Dadi my mom is gonNA. It'd be there. Yes Liz Dadi who I talked about so much. You will get a chance to see her. My mom loves lesbian content. I I actually didn't even think about it. That my mom because she's coming to town for this show will be in the Sunday night before which means we can continue our tradition addition of watching the l word together. Well Yeah Oh my God. The Dan Dadi be my. My mom loves the L Word I koch the whole thing through. Watch it without me. Even telling her to watch it that is that is an ally I she. She had showtime and she just started watching it and was like do you watch this show called the L Word I love it. It's my favorite show so we would watch it together whenever whenever were together when it was on and yeah because that was like my the cheapest way for me to get showtime was seeing it with my mom so when I'm home for the holidays I'm going to see that so anyway come out to Joe's pub you can find links to tickets on our social media and I'm hoping it's going to sell out and be crazy and it'd be awesome. Another thing I wanted to talk about is man and hopefully this. The last time that I'm I'm going to address this this but in terms of our co host situation I I want to say you have all been awesome So many of you have been so amazing. The letters and messages of support that I have gotten from our Susan's sends have been overwhelming and heartwarming. And I really needed those messages. Oh thank you. They're just so so great. And your support means the world to me. I also love. How many of you have embraced the term Susan that also fills me with joy beyond what words can express and I'm so thankful for each and every one of you? We have had a couple of instances where some people have left US negative reviews and a doesn't recommend on facebook and this is and you know to each their own. I understand if you no longer want to listen to the podcast because Sarah York will no longer be co co hosting. That's your and I'm not gonNA tell anyone of like how and what to consume right. That's up to you and and what I do ask though is if you enjoyed dining out so far which have been over one hundred episodes to then go and leave a one star review. Oh that really hurts us. And we're doing what I still believe is very important work and there is a different voice and now sometimes different voices that we're bringing to the podcast every week and a different perspective and a different story and it's meant so much as so many people in the community and it has helped so many people that I wouldn't wouldn't want these negative reviews that are based on something like very personal and specific to color the podcast as a whole and maybe dissuade someone from discovering covering it who who could really use it or need it and it's a little militias honestly hurts me I'm a human with feelings. I don't know how to explain how much time a tears the money that I've put into the I think out. Yeah so for for that to happen and have people make make certain comments is is unfortunate honestly like an rude also like you're going to be nice you know it's hard enough for acquire content to stand out and to be tearing down other people because of petty Things that you don't you don't know about is you know. Don't not worth it like most people. Most people have been great and I know a lot of people are like just ignore. Ignore the haters and I you know I do care about all of our listeners and if people have been with us for for this long it it does make me sad to see somebody go and then go and away where they're kind of scorching the earth and being like fucked taking out and leave us these negative reviews if you WANNA say fuck biking out. That's fine I I disagree but you can do that you can do that. Have you. Have your opinion. That's totally fine. If you want to voice it on your social media and not tag me that's great too. You can do that but to leave reviews or I don't know it's it's your business. Yeah it's it's your business and you have. I know for a fact you put a lot of time and a lot of effort and yet of blood sweat and tears hard so by blood. It's menstrual blood periods that I've had on the pod on the. "Maybe have a heart to heart. Maybe find a time to grab a drink or something and you know. I don't know go to go to the Sports Johnson. Yeah and just talk about about your relationship and how You know how much you have enjoyed getting to know the family and how much the daughter means to you. And where you see things going in the future feature and then kind of transitioned from there and maybe involve him in the conversation. Ask Him some questions like how about. Yeah like what do you think are or do you have any advice for me and things like that and just have like a very open and honest conversation instead of making it some weird like proposal and that could be like very our like make it very hard for him to say no and I think like sometimes it does really just take like being a human being with someone else. Yeah Hey like this is real and this is how I feel and this is like how could somebody say no to that right. I mean people can and do. And there's a Lotta Says No. There is a song for that. I really hate that sign because I'm like what if you go by that. So right if he if he says no then that's on your girlfriend and be like us. Sorry that's yeah that's a conversation you bring back and you're like this is where it is. I still want to want to you. Wait a minute you how. How do we proceed? Yeah but also. You don't need anyone's permission to do anything I don't. Yeah I'm going to be the one to say like hands down you don't need for other people's permissions especially not a man to do anything on your fucking truth but also I understand in respect to that that you need to respect your partners. Here's send your girlfriend to Kendall and candelabra talk about the Patriarch and help her get over any attachment attachment. That she has left to that tradition. I will smash it if he will next. "Want to kind of develop that further and Lake Orion incorporate that into some more acts because it's it's a lot of fun but also were in New York and a lot of these stages of the size of a coffee table and I. I don't eat like smack an audience member in the face with giant. It's really hard to deal with both having a chance to like rehearse it and to to be able to perform A. It's it's a challenge in the city. Yeah absolutely how do you go about picking your name and your persona. That seems like such a stressful thing. You are like once I picked this. I have to stick with us like my biggest regret in life was there was like two months. I changed my name to stage name and then and off author listeners. Who've been with us from the beginning know about this there's like fifteen episodes or twelve episodes of the podcast where I go by a different name once you go bye bye? We're only real fans now. I went by Kerry Burg shorten my name. My mom calls me Kerry yes and and then my last name bear. She a few chop off last. Three letters is Burg. I didn't realize that that's a Jewish name which now I'm like but I thought it was just German. If you don't have anything emerged until some people are like why did you give yourself a Jewish stage name. I'm like what because I'm not Jewish. Well this is problematic. Yeah I was embarrassed in like ten. Different ways is a good. It's a catchy name though. That's what everybody was an enabler. Not One person said Jewish name. I wouldn't have. I'm known my friends. Yeah terrible terrible people anyway but yeah so but like to make that choice I was like Oh my God like if I do big then there's no going back into going there. Always repairing that with there is another canot pain who is a Fit Famous Christian rock singer and she holds that domain baby Kendall Payne dot com. Have you considered failing hearn. Taking over her I did many many many a time. And you know my mother but no so consider changing my name but I just ended up. It was kind of. I couldn't come up with like I wanted to be funny but also like good and it was just it. It just was so much. Yeah how was your experience picking so I also changed my name after about a year I started with a different name and I yeah. It really didn't fit. It was like a little too cutesy What was it it was so I started as Dolly Onyx and I hope it was? Yeah it's cute it's fine And but it didn't end up fitting. Yeah it didn't fit and there was there was this. I always wanted to be Knicks and I was like Oh the the nickname for that will be knicks but nobody takes the stage name and then gives it a nickname. That's not like a thing that happens. Yeah and everybody was calling me Dali and I'm definitely not a Dali Ali for sure and I had and the thing is to you. It's also hard to make sure you're not like having you don't have stage names that you know other people have. There are a lot of things that show up as recurring themes stage names and I had a show where there were three dollars backstage and that was kind of my tipping point and I was like no. We gotta change this. I need something that feels good. Fits but also isn't you know isn't the same thing and isn't going to get confused into many not enough Joe Leans. That's what you're saying you can't stop Charlene. Aline Ism I know Dolly Parton has her Dolly `ISMs anyway lean maybe Wow so you landed on Nex. Yeah yes I I think I decided I wanted to be next and then I'd like tapped some friends being like. What am I going to be after next like what it'll be knicks? What and he's it's like got to figure something out and somebody came up with Nocturne and like this is it I mean? It's it's a little redundant though because nixes like goddess of night so it's like going on it really fits you like driving at home. This is this is is about the night time and the darkness. Is that like a lot of your performance is definitely yeah. I tend to tend to go for the lake. Goth Breath Glamour. You know scary creepy. You know like fetish you know all of that sort of thing And definitely they have. Since the beginning I was a little kid and you know and did that whole thing like did all by like industrial clubbing and SORTA. Where did I grew up in in central New Jersey? Very very rural area has a heavy seen the show the righteous I gemstone no but is it's basically Talladega nights meets succession Ashen is how it's very much about like a extremely rich white people so dom- That's kind of the theme of the show. Basically about this family that owns a like one of those big for profit Texas Texas are they in Texas or somewhere in this area and but there is one character who has been saved who was super show like industrial clubbing places. That he can go into rescue. People from there on in there is crazy. So that's what I'm picturing. You have to watch it just to know. I need to know if that's really really what it's like or like it sounded TV. Version really is silly dumb version of it by EH. There are a lot of peens out like Nah flailing. No unless you like go to something. That's also like very spliced with like fetish. It's like a like Goth. Play Party or something. You'd still like. Yeah I feel like the regular dance in by the house like I feel like with some exceptions a lot of that a lot of that scene his kind of like dwindled especially in this. Am and and I mean I was like you know like nineteen being like. Oh so cool but like a lot of it you know we're all nerds like we're nerds. Yeah a lot of it was like you can like stand in the corner like stomp it out. Doing your like Goth moves staff. It wasn't nearly as cool as any of the movies. I mean I'll I'll definitely but at least they'll do it every now and then it'd be like living out my childhood again but I was like I saw them like when I saw the matrix like being a kid and that like you know rural town out in the party scenes from the Matrix I was like I need to find where that is like Mary. His Bat to be. I've found it wasn't quite the same informs. Your your dance now and you're definitely definitely so. Was Your family surprised when you started doing burlesque ask well I guess so. Yeah I guess so. It's been a while now. I feel like at the beginning when I was just taking n- causes it was like oh great like you know feeling good about yourself doing the thing and But there was kind of a moment whereas like and I'm GonNa perform warm now And and getting getting used to that and everything and Ed so they actually my family just saw me perform for the very first time last month For the yeah for the out fest. Screening of of a night at switching place they came to the the lake screening and they saw the performance afterwards stuff which was was really lovely and really wonderful wonderful after like so many years of kind of keeping it very separate and stuff and being a little bit more tentative about it I was like I thought to myself I was like well. All the time is now. If there's any other setting to do it this is certainly the setting. And how did they react. They had a really good time. It was really really sweet. They they had so much much fun and you know it it was it was wonderful. It was nice for them to kind of see what all that looks like. And how I spend so much of my time uh-huh a red carpet involved choice because sometimes they'll they don't really feel like parents and families families. Sometimes that aren't a part of like scenes. Don't really understand. Why are you doing a and then when they see kind of like an institution being like? Hey this is Zach. This is amazing. We're GONNA put this up as art. Then they're like so. This is actually something to be respected. And it's really cool to the kid. Yeah Eh yeah I pointedly always kind of dropped any of the things that sounded like a little bit more impressive like I'm doing this thing. It's related to this is like it's valid exactly like I wonder I just imagine if I ever did anything like. I bet that my mom would be like I'm just worried about your safety and I'd be like that's code because I knew there was definitely i. I feel like that's such a thing about like. Sometimes they just don't get it I. It's hard to understand but yeah so happy that they got to see it and we're excited me to. It was kind of like a like a full circle. It kind of came together after a big like being much more unsure about about that with them. Yeah before and you know and there was there was still like a lot of support. It was like they're happy. I'm happy of course you know. Yeah but you know there are people too. I mean I mentioned before we start recording my friend Raven Esa who does burlesque and the. She has a hard time dating because a lot of people mostly men are uncomfortable knowing that she is taking off her clothes on stage even though it's so are full and beautiful such like yeah. That's so oh it's insecurity is what it sure definitely. Yeah I hate that. Yeah I mean when it comes onto it too. It's like it. Is You know it is sexual is it. You know it is very sexy performance like doing whatever so yeah if you like if you have partners that are less secure you know that tends to come out in those moments especially because you know stage. There's a lot of. There's a lot of attention. There's you know people are really into it and But Yeah I feel I do you feel like it can come from any gender. You know it's about but it's definitely about who you're dating and and a lot of times if if they're going to if they're going to express that to the detriment of you being able to do what you're doing like yeah you don't want to go we'll see Chelsea and insecurity transcends gender boundaries. Yeah Ah for sure. But that's just it's such A. It's such a bummer. I feel because it's like. Oh you have a chance to like see your partner be an incredible performer. Incredible stuff and you're gonNA wine about it because you're insecure. Have you had experiences with that with with like dating and having to explain it to people and not really how I feel like I feel like dating. It's it's always been people like people have known about it beforehand or leg been involved in some capacity. Add stuff so it's never really been an issue. Yeah yeah it really really hasn't So I guess I'm you know like lucky in that you know it's it's just trying to think yeah and it's also about being. Well this is this is what it is. This is what I'm doing. You know an end for for so many for so many things. It's like you know if you if you were into me because of this like certainly not going to change But yeah so one thing for my friend in a different friend who did a lot of burlesque. She would always talk about how much drama there was on the burlesque scene and that kind of drove her out. It's just not worth it. I just can't deal with the drama. Yeah yeah and I think every type of performance scene has its drama yes Tell US.

"Jada Pinkett Smith secret lesbian isn't it I mean everyone is like an open thing yeah healthy okay I'm obsessed with that it with your thinking marshallbr yeah nobody do feel like it's either murderer and Mike not as cool as cool I rescind my calm but you couldn't you couldn't do that right who with the man doc as you can guy can't have sex that much on the movie is that they like get together and they decide that they're going to just like hi His Penis every hour hour and listening to put someone nick it's a good I'm not going to sit here and be like I hate of Agean me you like I'll fucking lodge it like you want me to watch it right now shore yes let's that's like a woman getting married to a man and then she meets a soft budge there never really a he so soft bud letter only Suu I'm currently making a short film jumpsuit the closest yeah not like those you get right now is maybe ellen page in tales of the city like the hat on that is all captain as easy so crazy it's just like whoa or no none none and the l word is like maybe the only one mourns who are only butch icon eh how up so much about eleonore knows and this podcast Le Grand firmly that you want to come talk to me because we're going to deal with it curse on this right now I'm being really depressed like a wow this is a Roku horrifyingly she's such a sad life which is kind of a queer thing trauma hello she's the whole package let's trauma you're allowed to murder people count murder I am Imagine me and you is that it is a bad but it was good for the time I think here's my argument for it the reason why I thought it was good for lesbian movie was that it was one of the first movies where yes they address the fact that it's too women but it's not this like huge fucking deal like their way more chill about the fact that she falls in love with another woman like even though that's kind of like the thing of the different they're not like but I can't love you you're a young man it's like it's like because I just married a man and like of this man but I'm never felt this way about another right before and now I'm conflicted but the conflict isn't like I shouldn't be with a woman it's like having a fair and like this unexpected thing that and that is like we have a lot of listeners who are married to men have that kind of moment where you know either shortly after a years after they fall in love with a woman and realize that they're not straight they were and to all of you and then we us no I hear you I actually I think that this is one of the worst on the list just falls into that like trope of needing to be sure straight and then turned guy played the movie doesn't she's not like screaming about like I could never be gay like a lot of movies yeah and the guy is like really understanding not creepy audit which their marriage or who is a cycle is being like I'm going to turn her into a let or I'm GonNa turn her away from a lesbian right like yeah he's like I'm the cure for lesbianism I think is alignment he says John Boy that's if guys is one that's not on the list and I don't know I'm talking about stuff not on the list but at and that I also haven't seen okay data somebody posted it on twitter this week and it was the sex scene from if these walls could talk to between Ellen and share it was the most uncomfortable thing to watch I don't think I've seen that the scene or making the rounds in light of Ellen's just saying stupid shed Sara yes I mean we all knew I've asked him forget for long periods of time that she had a brief acting career yes and it's like saying reminded of her Acting Career Great Yeah Yeah Ellen having sex with Sharon stone is very not compelling yeah and in in her her resume includes a Rom Com with bill pullman so the fact that that stands out as uncomfortable thing right right I mean her career though was sat like sad making excuses for doing X. but like she did have a really tough go like she would just lost every team crazy within our lifetime so bad for so long now we're all like Ha- like ll Rega- right but it's like it was so bad for so now we're the ashes generation Hugh Ellen's a fashion God we really have jumped like twelve generations in the past like four yeah it's great I'm like all right yeah is such a ride and Ellen Elton John have not jumped and the ride they haven't I know it's hard it's hard being rich and famous is that the man who played at rush limbaugh's wedding would jump to Ellen's defense hanging out with Bush everybody jump to her defense there was like they're all yeah of course wants to Fani I get that now that you're married to country star I'm sure that your your friends with a lot of awesome people she's tweeting out in the middle of the woods hunting with her stupid husband I can't that that whole like she has gone through so many iterations of like cultural at least she's not appropriating any culture anymore like we haven't forget that Gwen Stefani had a very problematic relationship to like Japanese culture I don't go girl Shit that she did she was like a whole Harris Uku girls like follow her around yeah her posse she was like who is it ashes misappropriating republican culture which is fine whatever yeah reese witherspoon Oh yeah damn cares rich all I'm just like you have sold their souls I don't even care yeah fine them do their rich people thing just fund our kickstarter yeah you're going to be a problem Richardson uh-huh please many great lost and delirious is a movie that comes up on a lot of lists of Bab lesbian movies I haven't seen it so tell OK- okay this movie is insane on so many levels but also it's like okay it's a tale of teens falling in love basically so I don't know that it's bad because it's like problematic it's just bad because it's like a bad movie I think I think this is also a thing about a lot of these movies is that there's define what makes it bad I think I think the thing that makes a lot of these as bad as the writing is horrible almost all of them I feel like a lot of this like old timey writing the writing is very like I I love you but I can't non realist rooted in any sort of reality like it's all very like who the fuck are these gay people like that yeah the nobody talks like this yeah do you know what I mean and and a bunch of these movies are written by people but we have to remember that if you're a writer on a show the the script that gets shot movie is not it's not one throw yet or what their idea of it really is so thank story producers being like yeah can't do that we can't write that we can't yeah or like this doesn't make sense even though something that makes sense to all of us and we're like yeah we get that but then the straight dudes in charge are like yeah no that's not what I think would happen and that I mean that's I think that's what's so hard about queer film is like how do we get to a place yes which I think we're starting to get to that place where we're making queer content that's by where people four queer people I think for a long time it's been either by our people for straight people or by straight people for gay people yeah and it's like it's we we went through a long period I think in the past like five years of of a lot of movies being made by Sri People for Queer people yeah in an effort to like diversify Hollywood and it's like but if the writing and the direction is not from Queer people you're not you're not gonNA get castle straight yeah it's not for us like it's not for yeah watch it don't get me wrong watch it and we will be obsessed with it but like it's not gonna be for Tennyson anyway lost and delirious okay so let's see two girls they it's been awhile since I've seen this so the poster art and it looks like it's high drama okay listeners if I fuck this up like for sure is it looks like they're okay hold on hold on just based on the cover art okay here's Sacira impeach in it's like women at a boarding school and then one of them employees now I think she's murdering the one who gets in the way of her like long okay I'll take drugs and that's why one of them's like the bad girl and the other one is her best friend and then the other one which one is which one's the bad girl the one with like exposed the one that he may not wearing her jacket Piper Barabara who is conical queer and not queer awesome she plays so many queer characters right yeah it's like okay just you and we stopped casting straight take a minute to play queer women also hot yeah just be gay piper like a choice thank God it's obviously it's famously only lesbians or horse girls who become cops yes absolutely so she's like the bad girl and she acts spoken oh can cigarettes they are at a boarding school you were right about that I mean the sweaters and ties gave absolutely one I think the best friend is that girl from the see what is her name Michelle Baron yes that's the best friend Martin is also gay but not gay yes yeah yeah yeah I'm using gay in the lake on rela term of Braille yeah if that's not clear to listeners okay so so anyway so she like the bad girl she falls in mich- partners her best friend and then she falls in love with this other girl so they're all they're all kind of best friend yes I think okay and then she falls in love with this girl and they're like in love bubble lots going great they're like a boarding school they're like whatever doesn't matter and then the younger sister of the one that's like a little more fam- because it always has to be a soft butch attracting a fem girl and so the FEM one little sister comes in and finds them in bed and like threatens to tell the Christian parents and then it's like aroma unravel from there yes and so then she starts dating a man to be like I can I can I can be straight but then she's always talking to the other girl who's Piper unlike on never love anyone like I love you but like she's just whispering that turn than like running off to her boyfriend God yeah dramatic and then Piper gets a what do you call a fencing fight with the boyfriend she challenged my gosh challenges him to a duel and they fend when she stabs him in the lead I think and this is a spoiler so I don't know if you can spoil movie that's like twenty years old kiss before they drive off the cliff thank you yeah then I would approve it I'm sending her as a clip tonight and you're GonNa wish you earn I know I think she kills herself ambiguously in the end because there's this whole hotline where she has like this like either polar Falcon or some sort of large bird communicators right well right there on me on the fray career so and so she's like communicating with his bird because the bird was injured I'm telling you this is a psycho movie it kind of sounds amazing fencing warnings wow pray love it I mean it's not that I'm actually pretty sure that one was directed by a que- yeah I know it's dragged by a woman I'm not sure if she's queer or not.

"Okay I gotTa Watch these movies again yeah it's great and the third one I ca oh and Porsche Rossy isn't screamed to and his hardcore flirting queer film on scream and she's like I actually just made the presentation this week I'm doing it at the next year on New York and you WanNa see that that's search query icon who's maybe not queer Did you guys see wild wild country no no documentary about the Rosh niece she's the Cole Eye L. I watched the first episode okay there's a there's no it's not worth it but the like the murderess like lead woman is now I'm forgetting her name Sheila Sheila I think is her name I think murderer is in general kind of gave me I totally is inherently queer colours actually if you wanted me to agree more really couldn't monster is a gay movie with Charlie's there and and Christina renewed that's the lesson film yeah early I know I might have joked about people about friend telling me that I look like Eileen and I always say and people don't know who I lean more noses and then I'm like yeah I lean more knows she's a famous being what is she famous for being a serial killer actually killed a lot of men and the whole the whole crowd chant kilmore man using in and not all men load like that the has tag it's just more like we even out the playing not even put a number on it it'd be like a few just a few more we're not what about you mail identifying listeners now you're listening to a podcast you're safe I mean look we I'm just saying the add one's not really like she did everyone fits she wasn't doing shit anyway and we should applaud her too bad she's dead so are I mean I guess then from there to get into bed lesbian one that I mentioned that I don't think either of you have seen but high-tension is a French horror film that we haven't seen it got a lot of I refuse to watch French films French Hi friends calling I really want to watch this it sounds amazing it is for aww buzz about going on and of course I believe I was a teenager when it came out and using in a bad way I love to watch about I mean you mix horror movie mixed lesbian you mix French okay wait okay the plot again so the plot it's about these two this family at their vacation home or something in France and the there's one girlfriend comes to stay with them and then a murderer comes to the house and murders the dad like comes to the door murders the dad and in the beginning the friend is they're just like masturbating okay a detail so the friends masturbating whatever while the it's murdered and they're like across dissolve like scene where it's like happening like the matter I would I don't believe so but it has been a while since I've seen the movie but from what I remember it so it's like the dad gets murdered hear the screaming and then the grows masturbating decides to like make it look like nobody's in the bedroom she's in and then hides under the bed and the killer like goes throughout the house and opens the door and you know doesn't see her kills the mom and then eventually the brother traffic kills the brother so then like the two friends the two women escape and it's like this whole thing and like more people keep getting murdered and then they the guy in the gas station gets murdered or whatever and when the cops show up and they look at the tape the reveal is at the friend is actually the murderer what and she just has a big lesbian crush on her friends so homely entire Arafat way she couldn't just masturbate masturbate and kill the I sa- crush for twenty years with you all very violent very violent but that's also who is not gay I presume probably that's amazing that's yes a bad portrayal of lesbian would never do that that was around the time where it was like anytime there was a lesbian character they were for sure murderer or they got murdered or they got its murderer be murder heard in in Queer films lesbian film specific what would you rather be murdered or the murder I would rather be the murderer but I do feel like it has being films of all what would you rather be it'd be murdered I don't WanNa go through all the work being a killer is so exhaust say it's so fucking exhausting they always end up dying in the end anyway right right escot or like it just seems like too much what would you be it depends on who I get to murder yeah we're talking Eileen wore knows like she she decent time doing it yeah yeah Kinda cool what about like was it Donlan Louise or was that the one where they like drove off the cliff in the such also another career lesbian movie Yes game like kissing the end right no don't they they don't kiss on the mouth hands yes murdered or in the newer age of lesbian films it's be the gay one who's pursuing a straight girl or the St girl straight girl or the girl trying to get with a stray girl yeah so before we start really diving into bad movies just a baseline check like what what's a good lesbian movie to you to me Yeah I think the best lesbian movie is appropriate behavior by Ah Disarray Akhavan seen no but I love disarray Akhavan okay I know about this okay she made this movie one of her earlier films okay it's Blake it's in Bushwick I'm pretty sure it's it's definitely in Brooklyn Yeah some of Charlton Bushwick for sure but it's so good she's my she's ever director alike agree agree so she's the one that created the bisexual who about the bisexual regularly eight so like it is it did not get the praise of it deserves like it is so good it's about career people without having to it delves into like the bad parts of queer culture and like lesbian culture it's free to like call out lesbian it's real it's real okay good yeah and it's not it's just like interesting I don't know there's a lot of like queer content that's not about exactly what I'm talking about like a girl doing a straight girl yeah and like I think I mean does raise just amazing so what's that movie about okay yes that movie it's just like I mean it's it's I would assume it's a little autobiographical Nah not to a T. but like it's about like a young girl living in Brooklyn who's buying and who's like starts dating a woman but it's not she starts gay like it's not or she starts by okay and Queer it's not like like she's like experimenting okay but Yeah it's just kind of like a coming of age story I think she gets broken up with in like I haven't seen it in a minute but it's been murders burgers over here and just trying to find herself basically and she in this relationship with a woman like her parents don't know so that's like a huge point but it's just it's just like a good good movie I don't know recommend watching it yeah and it's like the narrative is not all about her being queer yeah you know what I mean that's good which is like we love us right why is every like there's a healthy there's a healthy balance right like I do think another good queer film that came out recently doc butter which was a lia shots movie that was on Netflix did you guys see that I couldn't get to the end of it okay so okay yes I think that strikes the balance of like there's a happy medium between either like not talking about being gay all the time and like talking about being gay too much it's like no gay people actually talk like that yeah I think duck butter kind of strikes the opposite end of that Chord because it was initially written by a four her an an a man yes and then they just like cast a woman which is by and I think when she was talking about the film she would say that like I wanted to make a queer movie that's like queer that's not talking about being all the time because like friends and I aren't talking about being get all the time and I was like okay well my friends are talking about being gay pretty much nonstop so we can talk about it a little bit so each like the other end of the spectrum which is like it's fun to have a movie that doesn't address clearness at all but then also it's like well it's a little bit part of uh-huh yeah the narrative maybe a little maybe you can trust it a little bit and I I thought it was cool because I think she brought it right I think so yeah with someone with someone else i Mike Ooh she wrote a movie where it's like how many sex scenes can I have with the woman in one movie my what a what a gay what a horny gay move total Elia Shaukat and then I found out that was originally written to have the other person be a man spend twenty four hours with each other and they're going to have sex every hour every hour oh wow and a a guy I mean using using yeah I think that's why they ended up casting home yeah and they also just had a woman that read really well for it but I mean that movie is hard to watch because it's just about like talks Colombian relationship which we've all had it is like that's a tough one movies you know it's a love story but like we also don't get the other side of it which is like sometimes are stories aren't fucking nice you know exactly and also being ah every lesbian movie is a love story again some capacity sure right like I mean I think appropriate behavior is the only one I can think of that's not explicitly about her relationship Yeah Cameron Post Okay yes that's actually is so I really liked it yeah it was really good but also that one's about like a conversion van but it's like a drama which is interesting for desert because she's very funny but yeah Surrey moments have comedy but yes it's very sad yes but that is another one that's not about her like a specific relationship but it is about a gay conversion therapy so can we live I don't have any moments having a good time like in love or something I don't know one of the movies on your list is one and I get why you would say it's a bad movie but in terms of Rom coms Rom coms in general aren't great so I enjoyed imagine me and you know I maybe by like it's a bad movie it just falls into the throw it falls into the trope of like lesbian now that has like a lot of queer characters and one of the characters is like a butch lesbian and we were like talking to the wardrobe person and we were trying to find comps of Butch Lesbians Intelligent into to send to her oh my all zero go in her prison jumpsuit there is off-topic about I lead more crash course I really am obsesses are but how many listeners are her.

"Together I know you're GonNa for ten minutes on the Brand Yeah I love it Henry Postman. She's like the Latino listeners I'm like yeah that's blocking all of our audience right legal lion O it did not think it was funny at all and was just like this is bad and so did my girlfriend and then she kept watching an all or coworkers watching their szeswith and they talk about every day so this action late triggering for you can't escape action escaping your girlfriend asks us to bring it up she can hold them yeah I don't I don't watch but I also I guess I'll watch I just like another a little queer the but my my coworkers all talk about a constant backstabbing it's just it's perfect yeah it is like there's so much treachery there's so much like people lined reach others faces it's like it feels a little bit it just feels it attracts me like I really deeply fucking love it and there is a slight there's a tiny bit of homoerotic tension season one between Roman and the personal trainer that's literally as far as far as like you know anyone in in in it's I know it's just like it's something lesc- Queer about there tell you what deeply queer about it from a lesbian stamp that I wanNA fuck shift he'll Mary Jerry Jerry Garcia Cherry is the like older woman crush the can't help but how a queer woman yeah yeah Israel so sex she's hot yeah which one is she is she is the royal family she's probably like Cherry Lane in the show Jerry Jones Jerry that's the thing about how is that Jerry Jones so you go yes she isn't she's in to in an like holly hunter volunteered me she's always giving me queer vibes I'm really digging here but no digging has invoiced on also talking about for sure is yeah but Jerry is still the hottest person on the show to be really Oregon has shifted Carolina who doesn't have a lot of C- I'm very surprised about CAROLIINA obsessed with to like clues various yeah I mean she's the only pops up like once before episodes or something yeah Kendall's assistant jess I also that there's a character named Kendall and ask that I know and he's kind of the worst heart disease so boring the first episode like is about him and he I was like you're so boring you have my name you're ruining my name for me and there's there is a comic relief sort of buddy cop thing that develops that's really worth it with Greg and Tom but they're like because Greg's fucking hilarious that his character but he's the guy from sky-high correct is he and seven foot three yeah yeah yeah cousin in sky-high I'd have to look it up he's hilarious I loved it I loved the Fan finale was fucking incredible yes I'm not going to be anything away but like but oh God it was good if you're gonNA watch a straight show if you're going to watch US rate show the I wish like here's here's my one argument like maybe that's a compelling argument I don't think we need to say anything yeah yeah are you going to say no no I was Gonna say that the one thing that I hate about it is that it has you rooting for different characters at different points when they're all the worst they're all terrible yeah none of them deserve happiness they all jared worse in life except for Cherry who just just very competent yeah confident sexy older woman she sure is I love her and she's just so fucking cool I love it and then the next thing I want to talk about which will get interr- topic is that I watched the movie scream which is one of my favorite movies of all time and I watched it for the first time in a while it's been a few ears yeah I haven't seen it I haven't watched it and literally probably twenty years Sydney's allies began for me and I never realised that until I watched it and then I was tweeting on it and there was some agreement on it and different pieces of evidence but the first thing is the first scene with neff Campbell's character Sydney and this is like original scream there's an indigo girls poster art and science full of posters it's like one poster and it's the indigo girls she's also very reluctant to hook up g billy's her boyfriend he hates him yeah and when they're having when they're having ex and he I gets on top of her and they're just like making out on the bed she looks so uncomfortable I've never seen a woman it looks oh come on what you think a lesbian who doesn't know it yet would look like while her boyfriend's trying to take things to to the next Jason and her bangs to be felt very queer eye might her haircut like have "Gandolfini Steve van Zandt, Tony so Rico Michael imperial, only all of them should ripple all of them and the show ends. And there's a big cocktail party that only a bunch of us. Went vital to the rain Bronco at the hard rock, so the show ends and under the show, people who bought dinner. It's expensive that night. How'd a chance to go up on stage and get pictures taken with the sopranos cast doubts about an hour long. They kicked those people out. We go to the cocktail party Gandolfini, walks in, I'll never forget is like a little grey, beret on and slacks. And a shirt, and he is just salty salty. And we're all going out afterwards, and the next day we're going to Guinea, devito's, new restaurant, the limo in south beach, and Jimmy's invited to everything. Well, Jimmy goes upstairs to his room and wrecks, the place, basically just wrecks hammered don't wanna talk to anybody. And the next day he didn't come with us to the Beatles restaurant. He went home that he was furious at the way it ended now as the years progressed he started to appreciate, but David chase did. And he founded actually good. But initially the angriest person was Jimmy Gandolfini hate it. That's the way you wind up with the screen goes black anti-climactic. Would we? I love the ending. I thought it was smart. I thought that left you thinking about a bunch of different. Maybe we look at it that way or you could say, hey, how about a bloodbath? Let's say in character with the with the show represented. Yeah. What were you disappointed with the it? Yeah. Yeah. I was looking for a lot of people get wacked. Yeah. Did you one of those people who thought something, my TV? No, no. Okay. Let's I saw he was being a little cheeky. Yeah. He was being artistic very but again, just take a bunch of people out. Right. I don't know have. Well, no, they took they did take a bunch of people out, but it would have been Jimmy and his family. The diner. Yeah. That's what it died. It was left up to interpretation to us. Right. That's how did you think? Endo Pini was killed. You did was chase come out and said he was not. I know. But still. That's what I love about the ending left it up to our interprets. So you love the I loved it from, they won. I liked it didn't love. It didn't hate it like Jimmy. But I liked it. Whatever happened to Gary COPA. Strong silent type. Yeah. That's a little mix of Archie in that, too. How many times did he say that a lot? And now we've spent all these years trying to find the next one, I remember when it was a terrific show, great show. In fact, he was a stolen the sopranos too. What's his name? The guy with the bad teeth grinding the boardwalk. Right. And, and people were so so desperate tau the next sopranos at boardwalk empire is every bit as no. It wasn't. It was. Okay. But it wasn't the sopranos God. Nothing was not breaking bad. Not, not anything was the best show ever. That's it. A mix of drama comedy, violence provoking, the separation between breaking bad and the sopranos comedy. Yeah. There was no comedy and break. Nor was just nasty. It was just it was just, you know, always somber depressing and ominous great show about it. It's been a ton of great James, one of its biggest proponents to blood was a fantastic show. But not sopranos sopranos was the best at it really was. I mean, there was, you know, Tony so Rico, this guy was was a was a killer. They paulie walnuts and every time almost every time he was in a scene, I left, he was just brilliant. He was somehow engine able Steve short Patou able to not really. Michael those sweep particularly able to pull off being just ruthless nasty bastards, and they made you laugh. Magnani to such agree Steve. All right. Yeah. He doesn't both Jimmy too and Tony so Rico. He's like, hey Tony makes base. Three days, he's going to be the, the master of ceremonies Bernie and said, Gump tournament. We gotta make him do. All three of them then. Well, that's what he does. He'll do it doesn't. That's what he does James Cagney. Not going to be that you already rash. Now, eighty Falco who was terrific as KENDALL Payne get Opie and his wife. She was really good in nurse. Jackie afterwards. On showtime. She wanted to watch for that. Right. Very talented. Yeah. I don't know whatever happened to AJ. The kid his son little brat. Yeah. Whatever happened. Here you wanted to punch him into face and metal Jamie Lynn Sigler. She got she got a disease. She did. I think she actually played and I thought he was really cute as a kid. She wasn't asked you to she got all the but as a kid, I thought shoes, she actually visited Scott nigh w w one morning. And she looked great. She went onto play really. She got killed by the critics, Heidi Fleiss. You remember that that'll she was miscast? Yeah. Heidi Fleiss rough somebody like guy league Cyrus can play without the Guber accent show rip, of course has gone on to become a Utah. Well, he's the one who paulie really, well Michael to-, not necessarily acting on screen low. He's done a million shows, but producing directing Michael imperial only huge, but you're right on screen Steve's done a whole bunch of stuff uh screen, and all he was he's been an author narrator on various, you know, cable endeavors regarding the mob. Idea. Yeah. He was good with that. Yeah. And that fight between him and Tony was epic. Yeah. Jimmy's con. What's his name is Khan? Frank. Vincent to play Philly at total. Yeah. He died, Billy Batts, Billy that. Yep. He's gone. I guess that's it, though. Toes of people died. You made fun of them a little bit. You'll be Pretty Woman that Tony had that thing within the. In that. She do. She dealer. Yeah. Yeah. He's still out there. She's, she's suing Harvey Weinstein. He's one of them, but she was great net, then dragged the Montiel who played Christopher's girlfriend, she went on to do some really lousy sitcom with Matthew Perry. She just she was. Yeah. That was good too. When she van Sant hated that scene. That was rough. We didn't like the fact that made him say the seaward, he didn't like that. Yeah. He told us that here. Yeah. Bunch of times. He admitted to that he didn't like that seen. Listen. It was very disturbing. It was it was a bit. Rough calm down. I mean but that's, that's what made the show guys. Yes. Carletti which he sat down at the table. The FBI guy with the guy that used to one Raoult's, God rest, his soul of Frankie Reno, and she vomited table, right? Well how about how about when, when they were. They were shooting. This kid had him tied up. He was a rat. They tied him up in a basement. And he knew he was gonna get wacked. Always a famous actor. Yeah. Just before he gets whacked, he soils his pants and all that stuff. Yes. And then they, they often they won't duty. You don't you don't always a great looking guy on that show. And for a little while was meadows love. Interest was a kid played Jackie junior number him..
