And this is, uh certain customs and procedures that have nothing to do with preventing what they say It's supposed to prevent. It doesn't actually have an effect, but it makes people feel good. Because people in our culture now in America are very fragile. Very emotionally vulnerable doesn't take much to upset them, and they need constant assurance and reassurance and they need to feel secure. And they need to be feel validated. They need to know that their fears Are being validated. And, uh, I don't know what day the world changed. But the world changed one day and everybody became an emotional wreck. And this is even before Covid Covid just sent Lot of people over the cliff. And I'm going to go through this list that they have scattered throughout this story. And, um, I bet I've been I've seen almost all these things. Uh, and an ice cream shop in Rockville, Maryland. Ice cream servers wear gloves. And they scoop the ice cream into cups. There's a sign taped to the front window that says no cones, Covid. Now. Why would that day Let's think I tried thinking about this earlier and I couldn't come up with it. You might say, Well, they're going to touch the cone. Well, they're wearing gloves and they're touching your cup. And by the way, wouldn't if the virus could be picked up on services. Wouldn't they be on the gloves anyway? No cones, Covid. Can't think of a single reason for that. I guess that makes people feel better. At McDonald's in Virginia. They have yellow police tape. Cordoning off. Self serve bed. Beverage stations. You know where you got to Get a coke. Get a large Coke. You go up. And I saw this at a number of, uh Fast food places. Over the last year and a half and I was just staring at it. It's like, well, why How am I going to get covid doing that? No explanation. No reason. There have been zero people infected, refilling their coke up. Zero people getting infected getting a vanilla ice cream cone. You go to Nationals Park. Baseball. Fans use a Q R code and a digital menu. Rather than ordering directly from the person who hands them their hot dog. So this is so you can't say. I'd like a hot dog and a soda. Right? How many cases that prevent And they're admitting now the experts The experts who were wrong all of last year. That none of these precautions provide any real protection against the spread of the virus. They call it Hygiene Theater. Defined as the deployment of symbolic tactics. That do little to prevent the spread of the virus, but may make some anxious people feel safer. Oh, well. That's all that matters, right? So I think the the covid rate has Plummeted here in America, Vaccinations are soaring. But they're still doing this nonsense. In fact, where was I went to a place this weekend where they insisted on flashing the thermometer. Electronic thermometer on my forehead. What are you doing? First of all the temperature is always wrong. Either that or I'm dead. Flash the thermometer at me one day and it's an 84.3 was my temperature and the guy goes okay. You're alright. Really? Yes. Think you stand six ft away, And sometimes you're not aligned properly. And maybe it took the temperature of my baseball by baseball cap. I don't know. Picture took temperature my shirt. The guy says I'm okay. All right. Actually, I must be dying, sir. Say, quote a Dartmouth college business professor. Who specializes in public health. We should be scaling back on these precautions. Especially cleaning surfaces. Um She says. Why This is another thing, the incessant scrubbing of surfaces. And what's funny is Pretty places like Whole foods. They are they really do it. Obsessively. I mean, they just won't stop. It's like after every customer, somebody is washing down the conveyor belt. And I look around and I see very clean people. Mean Whole foods gets a different crowd. I mean, just You know all these very skinny pale women in these fragile man stereotyping much. I was standing in the whole foods line this weekend, Everybody met my stereotypical expectations. Every one of them. There's no uh they're all fat people there. Lot of emaciated people. And the guys look especially, uh, fragile, much. Well, it's true. You should come with me the whole foods and you can tell me going to go on a whole foods Children right across the street. All right, let's go on a trip. One day you'll see you tell me what I say. All right? Um They are still in New York City, disinfecting subway cars. Their power washing the outside of subway cars.
