"Do you? And he's fighter in two. And a half years is an ear though. It is a year. That's your logic. Wait was he healthy? He was hurt. Right. Yes. That's one one was. I don't care. You're just saying it's a year is no my logic is that he's done repeatedly. This is going on his third year. Wait, wait. How is it repeatedly? When he just finished the title as year because he got injured before them and couldn't fight again for year. Art. He didn't get strip to with the Ruckle fight. Right. No. He fought an overweight. You're well. Remember, which he didn't have to do right at all. And his hand. There's I don't I don't care. He wanted. Right. The number the clear cut number one contender was y'all Ramiro Kelvin Kelvin gas. Love is not even clear cut number one contender. He's ranked four right now three behind jock or window by Romero Rockall. He's not even the clear number one guy. Not rod colder right behind and Michael. Arado? So that Abacha. Yes. So young too. I should don't count. But the point is is that he's not the clear like you could still shake this division out while you wait for Robert Whittaker to be healthy if it exceeds strip it's not it hasn't senior year because by your logic. They should've strip max Holloway 'cause it was closing in on a year hadn't even been a year yet, but it was closing on a year. It hasn't even closed in on a year. Just Whitaker had surgery. If Whitaker is unhealthy they deem that he can't train until after the summer, then you strip them. But if he has surgery, and they say he can he can fight. He can fight this summer if he gets hurt then then you take the title fight back. All I'm saying is one month, and we get to two title fights in that time instead of one, and I just dislike interims 'cause I make keep him a champion. But why are you get why do you need to have like this is you talk? And that's their motto. But this is you talk the USA is not mentioned stripper rubber Wigger. You're saying this. That's what's best for the model. They have set out have him. And thank you make someone else a champion. What have they said it though? No. They know what they're thinking. I mean, I I think about cases close nobody said rubber would because getting stripped your press say they want. Yes. Because it's best for their model. Not that. They've said it not that they're considering it. Maybe they like him. Maybe maybe they're okay. With the injuries is bad luck. They'll buy it, again, whatever it may be. But the president they have set with big need titles to headline cards. They create interim titles out of the blue to headline cards. They do this is one where you should strip. Give out Asana and gas LTd chance and then push Whitaker back one month probably from July to August. So if out of Sonya and gasoline prepare right now, they'll be fighting on the may pay per view for the tobacco. I wanna know. Did they do do tomatoes match for three times a year and a half before there is did they do it to max when he got hurt did they make Ortega Edgar inner type carrying the guys who fought once in a year and a half before getting hurt this time? To match who fought three times a year and a half before getting hurt before this fight. But then he's gotta understand right? There's different which is talking about the space. Like, we're talking about the space..

"The university of Kentucky is bro. Hinted. The announcers are selected by sports and approved by the university of Kentucky. Welcome back to Rupp arena for a final segment with coach Cal after a seventy six fifty five win over Mississippi State Emmanuel quickly made a couple of plays. You mentioned the threes. Playing better the play where he went in the lane, and he kicked it out. He gave PJ that three in the corner. He is he's working really hard is getting better. And better, you know. And it's I tell you I really like he and Ashton together at times because they both can really handle it and Emmanuel gives you another three point shooter that they really literally have to guard PJ's shooting forty one percent on threes. And he's got that post up game when he faces up back to the basket manny's hard to go be the best player in the country. Why would you not if you have that in you and? That's what I think he is. And when I don't see the boulder, it drives me nuts. You should be the best player in the country. So what would lead you not to go after these dudes every minute. And I'd say coach can be three or four minutes. Let me get my breath. And then I'll be ready to go. And then go kill him again and have everybody across the country talking about PJ, Washington. He is that good, folks. He is that strong. He is that long. He is that skilled, but you can't be afraid of being the best be the best. But you know, what it's hard and how about this living up to it. Every game. Even harder. Hard. But if you have it in you, why not be that guy. And that's what we're trying to tell them. I'm not selling for anything less. And if he's not giving it it's great. I'll play Jay 'cause I wanna get EJ more minutes. Anyway. Tyler you mentioned his house defenses improved. He's really seems to be a nice job of setting up his shots now to skit and better he's getting better. He's he's he took a couple shots. Look when you have the green light to shoot the ball. You don't take bad shots. Because you're you're one of those guys the coaches saying if you have shots take him. So don't take bad shots. You're going gonna get all you want a bad shot. Let somebody else shoot. And so he took a couple of those you know, that he just didn't need to shoot today. But Kelvin Kelvin has a green light here. So don't take a bad shot. Don't go running in there. And just throw it. I don't know if it was good or bad. He scored the first seven points of the game. Now, he's thinking I got seven I'm gonna give fifty today. You know, and you sometimes it's not as good. But look we got all these young guys think about what I said, you gotta sophomore Nick sophomore and five freshman playing. I mean, this is a young team. And and we're getting better and better. Thanks, go. All right. Thanks..

"Yeah. It's kinda yellowish. Yeah. But it's got a very broad spectrum. Okay. So there's there's the temperature which we talk about which can be blue or yellow that's temper color temperature. That's one thing. That's why we say it's yellow. But then there's how much of the spectrum is available in that light. Correct. Oh, I didn't know that. That's why are the spectrum that you can reproduce. The more range of colors thought white was just every color all smushed together. But it's not it can be made in many different ways. That's really because and we're not talking about the white when your wife says, oh, I want ivory white versus. I want clam shell white, right? Talking about pure white right of a very space, and in fact, white can have colors. As you have said and the color that you want a TV to produce the color of white is has a very specific name. It's a technical name called d sixty five. Oh, which has it really is a very neutral white. And that's what you want because that's what the content creators used that was the color of white. They used in their monitor when they were making the contents. What really matters is the produce the colors that the person made the content want. Yep. Exactly. Right. And so these sixty five by the way is an average midday light in western Europe. Really? Yes. I didn't know I didn't need it. It's a it's sixty five hundred degrees Kelsen Cal Kelvin Kelvin. That's okay. So let q lead then is this very complicated LED's behind LCD panels using quantum dots? And so on and so forth. It's a specific name that Samsung uses for its quantum dot based LED illuminated L. They're not trying to confuse people. It's just that culet is an LCD technology, which is a completely different way of creating a picture, then an old lead. Which is a direct admission emission wreck pick rental each pixel emits, the color exactly because the and in that sense. The LCD is a transmission of technology light has to pass through something. Right. Whereas Oleg is an Email of technology light is emitted directly from the screen. Okay. And different different characteristics. Yeah. Yeah. Well, CD's are brighter culet cheaper LCD's cheaper, generally speaking. However, they don't have as wide of Ewing angle. That's what some people say. But it has nothing to do with the queue in the queue that just because it's an LCD screen versus Rollet screen. Yep. Yep. Exactly. Right. Exact Scott you've made. As usual clear as mud and I thank. Fused me more. No, I I am important understand. There is a distinction. It is between Olenin culet. They're completely different ways of making a picture lately. Yep. Home theater geeks. Scott wilkinson. Thank you, Scott. We'll see next back. Leila. Port the tech. I more calls and the apple event right after this. Yeah. Well, that's very interesting. I didn't I didn't realize that's what I thought quantum dots? I thought this was a better yellow. No, it's not it. No. It's not it's white. It's a better white because of combining the quantum dot red and green with the LED blue. I'm confused because at one point they brought on you know, the guy says. What was this? So. That mister Sulu George Takano K. And it was like a better yellow, but that was a different technology. That was a different t that was in fact, taking an LCD TV and each pixel has a red green and blue sub pixel color filters. They added a yellow sub pixel each complete pixel. So it was red green blue yellow RGB, y okay? They don't do that anymore. They don't do that anymore that didn't work very well. You know, it's so funny because because really history is littered with failed television technology. Indeed. Yes. So, but you say culet does make a difference. He's these sung only. Right. Samsung does anybody else to quantum dots? Yes. Yes. Indeed, many other people do for example of busy o p q series, which is a the peace series using quantum dots. Instead of white LED's. So yeah, there are companies. I think I think Sony might have gotten on board. They're not proprietary there. No, no quantum dots. Are not proprietary are they hard to make it sound. Like, they might be. There are a number of companies nanna says comes to mind there in the bay area. And they've been it's not that hard. "Yeah. That's scared me about Nelson was whenever somebody's guaranteed a month. I'm pretty much out for every Matt carpenter situation. You have twenty Jimmy Nelson Scituate. Yes. And and we got carpenter right? Like, we nailed. It was said that first month gonna be a little bit bumpy. And boom he's gonna take off. Don't cut him. Don't bench him. Don't do anything by shares of him. Supposedly things are going fine in that. He's technically done with his rehab, and he's going to have a regular off-season. Okay. So that is a really good sign that it's not turning into a Kelvin Kelvin Escobar type situation where we just never hear from him again because that was my fear as as things started progress was that we that he was never going to be the same. So it's gonna fade. Yeah. Especially because the brewers were in the playoff race. They had every reason to try to to get him ready for this year and didn't. And that's really scary. I'm going to believe David Stearns who who said that. He is going to be ready to start spring training. And if velocities there if the same movement on his pitches are there. Especially with the curve. I'm I'm going to be right back in. And I think I will probably have him. Inside of my top. Sixty. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I'm a bump. Right up to about seventy jump huge. Because I mean, I think I should probably look where I had him coming into the season. Well, I probably fifty 'cause the injury. But. I could see him jumping in my top forty come draft day. If he looks Gooding spring training. I did too. Like, I said I'm going to go seventy like right off the top here for the winter one. And then as we get more information if he is in fact, healthy than Jimmy Nelson. I could see him going as high as that too. And I'm not too worried. Like, I know that there's an pushback and what about innings because he didn't pitch. It all ask year. I'm not saying it's gonna go out there and go two hundred sailing, but he is thirty he has three one hundred seventy plus ending seasons under his belt. I don't know that they're going to have to baby him. He's kinda out of that injury nexus of to greatly worry about things if he's ready to go. I think he will get a pretty full workload. And they're going to have some depth. I think next year that they don't have to necessarily push them for thirty two. But gimme twenty-seven starts with a view. You know, scheduled breaks here where they kind of skip them to Corbin burns get a spot start or whatever. And I'm fine with that that like the opener, and he's a guy that maybe they could use an opener on. Let's go and inning or two in front of him at the same time in order for the opener to work. Well like it did in Tampa Bay this year. You also have to have a one or two guys like Blake Snell who are going to provide you a lot of innings at least for one or two of your rotation spots. So and if Nelson can be a guy who can do one seventy that really helps the Burs no doubt take some of the heat off of because hater can't throw every day. Unlike in the playoffs, he can not you're wear them out. And then you won't be any good for the playoffs too. So you have to be smart about it. Obviously if can go through his downs that he had this year where you had to get sent down and everything. You know, that that will help bridge the gap as well. So I like Jimmy Nelson a lot I'm totally with you just kinda had him eighty two here. And then as I started already to kind of look into their staff in particular would riff free Peralta interesting. I like what they're doing even Shaw seen who's little bit boring indefinite not somebody that people are going to be trying to take a bunch. I like him in deep as just a steady innings guy. And they're gonna use him as that you mentioned that do the opener strategy and rely on your bullpen. What you do need guys who can eat some innings, and she's going to be there as well. So Milwaukee's very interesting, but that's going to wrap us up..

"Dr Marshall shepherd from the university of Georgia talking with Jan null today, and we're, we're diving into his areas of expertise, and we're going to talk about his work on vehicular heatstroke and children dying in cars momentarily. But I want to stay here with El Nino for one moment before we shift topics here because he he's one of the topics in the world. Make sure you visit his website as well out there. This discussion of linkage between l. Nino and climate change. We know that climate is changing. There's natural change in as a human steroid or anthropogenic forcing on top of that as well. What is the current thinking on the relationship between climate change in El Nino, frequency or intensity? Are we still kind of in on sort of a new ground there? As far as research and understanding at this point, I think we're somewhat you growth as far as the subtleties, but I think you know the it abroad says with. With with warmer oceans and a war atmosphere. So the effects of of l. d. o. or probably going to be kicked up somewhat it at every weather event bid. El ni o or even a eighty vent is right now has some climate change DNA it. Sure. And so you know, it will be a while be a decade as we're starting to count up, how many more heatwaves how many more significant LD yo vets have their bid over the last ten twenty thirty years that there were, you know, in past decades. So it's gonna be watching the tread light trying to predict, whereas trade light going to go as we continue to see warming the atmosphere. I wanna stay with the climate change topic or seconds. So when we are in an El Nino year or years, that tends to add to the sort of global temperature in terms of the sort of magnitude of the the warming, particularly thinking, for example, of all the hoopla over the so-called pause or the sort of period after nineteen ninety eight. When I know there was a pretty significant El Nino period in there as well. So is that the general rule of thumb that during El Nino, there's a bit of a boost on the background warning? Yeah, there. There is. So it's not, you know, the eight was really was really outliers. Subways. We look at the event is. Two thousand fifteen sixty which was as strong as the eight and it did not cause a pause. The the trend line has continued to go up. So again, we're still trying to figure out, well, why this I- versus last time those that's certainly what are the challenges that we're going to be looking at trying to solve going forward. Last question about El Nino before we move over to the vehicle vehicular heatstroke and this is a question you may not have actually even be able to answer this question because I struggle sometimes with it when a student asked me about it in class at the university, what you know, we know that there's sort of two to seven year frequency on this sort of El Nino occurrence. These sort of ends Las elation that you know every two to seven years happens. Do we have a good understanding Jan at this point of, I mean, what causes this sort of cyclical or cycle. Process if you will. I mean, we, I know it's related to this relaxation or sort of trade wind sort of Kelvin Kelvin wave in the ocean and the sort of ocean sloshing back and forth and shutting down up welling and all of the physical mechanisms. I, I know the underpinnings, but do we have a good sense of what's driving the off elation. I don't think we do yet. If I think if we did, we could probably have better forecasting abilities out of the seasonal basis. It's again, it's tied together all these things that are going on in the in the atmosphere. And is the chicken or the egg sort of question. You know what? What comes first the your changes in the PDO is to, you know, get go is a impulse for the bed, Juliet, oscillation, coming out of the Indian Ocean. That's going to start pushing some of that water from the western Pacific. The eastern Pacific..

Numbers and then I guess in preseason the bills in the Panthers for, about, yeah, yeah it was about a week before, they they were gonna. Kelvin's done well or not I haven't seen enough games, now I don't know I know zero about. It but I, do, know this is. Interesting to see each other game It looks like big trying, to get away from Cam won't let him for a minute anyways Yeah. You wouldn't even trying, to listen to Cam no wing, you'll be listening to listen to him I didn't know they. Had, some big fallen out until you tell me about the, big comment delis asking him about it Oh there's another guy he's he's a linebacker there in Cam kind of pushed you saying he says looks have word here He's followed him around you know he's all in, that ear oh yeah Why want wanna say something. Like, that.

"It seems like it's one of those captain obvious statement because it's true. I just wish to Kelvin. Benjamin didn't say it. Now, part of the reason the Carolina Panthers drafted him in twenty fourteen was because he had a wide catch radius because you. You knew you hadn't inaccurate quarterback Cam Newton is one of those guys that so physically gifted that it doesn't necessarily pay attention to the fundamentals of the position. Footwork is not necessarily the best when it comes to being able to deliver the football, especially in the pocket. So yeah, that's one of the things that we recognize. But Cam Newton, I don't think we can look at just the prototypical pocket. Passer. He does so many other things from the quarterback position that correlate with winning that translate to being able to compete at the highest level. You look at what he did in that NBC's and Eddie had few years back. I mean, he was just an explosive player, not just as a passer, but as a runner, a dual threat type of quarterback and that translated into a lot of wins for the Carolina Panthers team. So I mean, I understand we're Kelvin Benjamin is taking it, but y'all did a lot of winning and Carolina when he was down there. So I mean, you look at Cam Newton and NFC south. The tough division is the only division pro football has got three MVP quarterbacks. You look at that they were the only repeat winner in that division's history. I think they went back to back to back and there was a span of three years where they won the NFL. See south three straight years. So I mean, you can complain about Cam Newton, not necessarily plan to quarterback position at the highest level, but he always gives you a chance to win. But I am excited though because very rarely in sports too. We get a true like test case of something. Someone says Calvin possess put me with any other quarterback. Well, lucky you, we got you on a team with AJ McCarron Nate Peterman and rookie and Josh Allen, who if he plays this year, he will be as Roz any rookie quarterback. We've seen, even if you believe in Josh Allen long-term. So let's see if that's true because even if you thought Kelvin Benjamin was disappointing and Carolina last year in Carolina, he averaged four catches sixty yards fifteen yards a catch with a couple touchdowns in his half season there and is half season in buffalo that was down to less than three catches a game, thirty six yards a game less than fourteen yards per catch with one touch down this whole time there. So if it really was Cam because I think some of his comments are accurate. I also think he's the worst mess. Singer for this. Not only because you shouldn't take shots at a former teammate, but because what about Kelvin Kelvin, Benjamin got a lot of wide receiver traits similar Cam Newton to quarterback traits, physically, gifted, almost over sized for the position and has not made the most of it like, see, you're the route run an expert. Like would you say Kelvin Benjamin who's running precise, sir, needs to be cut off at eight. He's cutting off at eight. He's got his hips turned in the right direction. Right? And so I, I feel like he is he there's a little bit of projection in these comments. Even if we all know, of course, camp should be more accurate. Of course, it's fundamentals, particularly footwork should be better, and too often relies on the fact that he's one of the greatest athletes ever to play that position to get him out of trouble spots last season Cam Newton, only Sean Kaiser had more games with past rating below seventy. All right dishonor is the Browns gave up on the second round, pick shipped him off to Green Bay and also on the other side out Smith, Tom Brady are the only ones. Have more games Cam Newton, a passer rating over one twenty. Now that's not the disparity that did you ever want. So Cam Newton and Kelvin Benjamin or a lot alike..
