"Yeah all right grete homes. My mother listens to your podcast regularly. She has reached out to my wife and his asking how to handle my my other sisters left leaning views of masculinity. It seems like my sister's appreciate my actions. In my example that i sat but at the same time they believe men who act like women are truly masculine. Would you suggest doing anything else. Besides setting damn good example and showing my family what sovereign sovereigntist produces sometimes that seems passive versus. Maybe going out of my way into having discussion with them on the topic. I mean i might have a discussion about it because it sounds like maybe. They're intrigued or interested in it. So i might talk about that. I wouldn't get drawn into a battle because you might as well have the discussion. If it gets contentious maybe you bow out and say hey you know school. I just wanted to share some thoughts and sounds like you don't appreciate them and that's fine. You don't keep doing what you wanna do. But there's a scripture. I don't have the scripture reference right off hand you guys will know better than i will. But by their fruits you shall know the by there fritzy shelby. So what's going to happen. Is these feminine. Men continue to live their lives in feminine manner. They're gonna produce less than desirable results for themselves their families or communities their businesses in every other area they show up and people will see that and interpreted as weakness because frankly it is not to step into who you are and they'll look at the guy across the street or in this case you the other family member who's bold and strong and courageous and assertive and has a set of skills and leads his family effectively. They'll think that's a real man because by their fruits that they shall know you so you just continue to produce. You continue to leave your family effectively. You continue to raise good sons and daughters. You continue to inspire and lead hand in hand your wife and they will see it. They may not see now. Because nothing's hard right now. Yeah we can either way with that way. yes i know. We're in the middle of covert and everything else but nothing's hard which is nice but also we're not exposed. It's like warren. Buffett's thing that that a that a rising tide lifts all ships. I was warren buffett that said that and he also said that when the tide goes out you get to see who's naked the tides in right now once that tied goes out everybody will know who's exposed and who's vulnerable in it isn't gonna be you and so in times of prosperity men and this is what i talked about the book sovereignty. I said that in times of abundance and prosperity were put up on the shelf. And it's like that that that whole idea of of in case of emergency break glass here so men are put up on the shelf because we're not needed are masculine. Energy is needed in times of prosperity and abundance. Who do you think created that. Now when shit hits the fan and everybody scared and things are going down what do they do they run to the wall and they break the glass and they pull out the real men not the men who were feminine. Not the men who don't have a set of skills. Not the men are who we can. Cowardly they can get away with it in an easy world but in times of emergency they're going to break that glass and call upon you and that's common guys that's coming that might be an isolated experience within your family or your extended family or it could be a cultural or national or even international event but that time is coming and everybody will know who the men are and who men aren't and you'd better find yourself in the right category in the only way people are going to see is by your fruits and they're gonna think i need to be around that guy because that guy is gonna give me what i need which is safety comfort security prosperity. The people the things that people are looking for when they don't have it. Yeah kelvin jones. I've recently decided to take the role of mel role model in my three nephews lives. I don't have any kids myself myself. And their life is a wreck along with their mother. My sister and the other family members. I traveled to work so i don't get much face to face time with them. They are always staying with my grandmother. My mother and my sister and never have any male interactions. That's positive. where should they start. I have plans for weekly zoom calls in my battle plan and i call and text everyday to have topics of conversation during the week. But i'm out loss of where to begin the process of trying to portray to them. What becoming a man is all about. Since i never had those lessons growing up either so you guys get learn together. How cool is that. Did he say how far away. He is from his nephews. No he didn't. He just says a limited face to face time so he's having to zoom calls and text unless you're unless you're geographically not in the in the area i would say screw that bullshit and go pick up your nephews and go do some things together with them like go to the basketball court. Go play tennis. Go to the jujitsu. Matt's get physical another weekend camping totally go on a hike. Whatever safe telling you to be reckless but be safe but go get him. Go get them and and manly with them. You don't have to know this stuff to expose them to experiences. You know like maybe you've never shot a gun in your life so take your three nephews to the shooting range and you can learn while they're learning that's cool and by the way i'm not saying that you have to shoot a gun to be manly. I'm just saying that that's an opportunity for you to learn for them to learn and they're going to draw so many lessons on that experience. Outside of zoom call..

"How mustard loving always hydrated steadfast rules of the road abiding high tech nutritional exploring duo duck quarter ton of riding fun? Jimbo rarely and Kelvin Jones. Take it away boys everybody Jimbo Rayleigh and Calvin Jones. Your quarter toner writing fun. This is our February edition and Kelvin's got some really cool news. Talk about a An event that he's going to participate in and we also want to talk about something that is near and dear to our cycling community here in Central Mississippi. We lost Actually we have a friend. Jake Presley and his family were avid cyclist. It was his wife and six Chit Kids and they lost their lives. Tragically early Saturday morning to a house fire in Clinton Mississippi and we're absolutely devastated in. This is kind of a talk about Jake and talk about what we're doing writing. But what I'm GonNa let Kelvin. Kinda speak to Jake and his family. Yeah this has been a spin a pretty sad weekend on Friday February. The eighth Friday night early Saturday morning paper the eighth and Jimbo in iron well acquainted with Jake and his five sons and one daughter He started bringing his sons to encouragement. Ride that we would do all of a sudden. He showed up one night on bicycles. He brought his three three kids on bicycles. I see where you're writing from said from Clinton and for those of you aren't familiar with the area. That's a pretty long haul. What would you say Clinton to blogs that would be? It's Italy's twenty miles from from their house and we were a little taken back going. Okay this is an encouragement right. There's not a babysitting trip. Yeah that was the first time. Our first thing insured enough. We made it about two miles and those kids were gassed already. They were little and they're like thirty four but I tell you since we've started with them and they've kept up with it. Those boys became very strong writers up to the point of Super Bowl Sunday. We had a super bowl ride with a bunch of people and Jake was with his littlest or smallest youngest son. Who was six and the six year old? Did Twenty Miles. That's all gravel bike and I was riding with the twelve year old. Who was who was challenging. Me and speed would not let me pass it. And so these kids come a long way from when we first met him three or four years ago and and they are precious precious family. Every child was yes sir. No Sir my pleasure. You know the kind of customer service you expect it At chick-fil-a Jay did not have a lot of money but he was proud to raise his children. He loved his. He loved his family and he did whatever he could do to make money to take care of his family and He cut grass. He's one of those lawn lawn guys and he would rake leaves in the fall and cut grass in the summer. And that's we'd save up his money from all of his grass cuttings it anytime. They needed things for the bicycles. Which is kind of an expensive sport. It'd be well. No those children workforce and saved up their money for it and so he was teaching in the right way and I just had so much respect for him and his boys and they were always such a very strong part of the cycling community. Because anytime you would see. Jackie would never seen without at least one of his sons all L. I'd never saw him about three of me. So if you'd like to give if you go to our show notes you will find a gofundme page and there's also a an address if you would like to give directly to the church there's a Jake Presley Fund set out in the address. It's strictly up to you. They're trying to raise one hundred thousand dollars because they have to have a funeral for seven people and he. He didn't have a you know as far as I know. Britney has wide who also passed away in the fire. He lost his wife and six children. You know she was an elementary school. Did you saw not sure what kind of benefits she had as an elementary school teacher. But I'm speaking today just on the Assad. Let's just assume that there was no benefits especially with him being a self employed Lawn Care Guy. No health insurance maybe no medical insurance probably begnaud burial insurance and now he has to bury seven people at one time and he's in the hospital in ICU. In critical condition. But I think he's GonNa pull through but his house has got it. He has no belongings. His cars were gutted. Is You know as long equipment gutted. The only thing I told people yesterday at my church was the only thing that Jake has right. Now's the grace of God in the hospital gown. That's on his on his back in the hospital bed and so he has nothing and and he would greatly greatly appreciate anything that you could do for us to to help him out because we want to As a cycling community we want to stand for our brother who has lost so much in losing his wife and six children ages fifteen to sixteen months. So yeah we would just love it if you could do something he felt led to do it. And that's where we ever that and it's like community we we hear of tragedies all the time about cyclope hit in that sort of thing and it draws the cycling communities together and when we lose basically an entire family It hurts us not a single psych with that. I've talked to in. Our area was unaffected even if they did know him personally so Please go to the go fund me or or if you feel compelled to write a check and send it to the church directly. I'm sure every penny will be will will be grateful. So let's talk about to talk about something sad all the time but Kevin got a great honor or we'll figure careful what you wish for but Calvin started training for the dirty cancer ride which is a hundred mile. The minimum one hundred mile. A grab a ride up in Kansas in May Right Yes oh this is a lottery system. I think they allow two or three thousand riders each year to do the ride and it's like I think he can do fifty one hundred or two hundred or two fifty or something like that and so. I'm thinking like trying to apply for tickets at the Masters Golf Tournament. You just you just put your name in the hat and maybe after seven or eight years they'll pick your name and I did it the first time thinking. I had two or three years to train for this and boom the first go around. I got selected in the lottery. So hashtag be careful. What you ask for is Jimbo said we mentioned a little bit about the dirty Kanza in our last podcast so now reality set in and so we'll just keep you abreast of We want you guys to hold us accountable. We all weighed in ourselves on the very first day after the day it was announced and so my goal is to try to drop around twenty pounds between now and the ride. The ride has made thirtieth. It's in Emporia Kansas. It's one hundred Mile Bike. Ride elevation climb from people who've done it before has got calculated at around five thousand feet over a hundred miles. The thing that you have to worry about is time thing for the first fifty miles so you have to. Do you have to hit the halfway point at fifty miles in under five hours? If you do not make it at five hours they sag you were they make you stop and take you back to the start line and so you think well fifty miles five hours ten miles an hour. That's not too bad but if you walk doing a lot of he'll climbing or if you're changing a lot of flat tires that could be costly if you get off your bike to do anything. The clock is still running. Unfortunately they say this pretty sharp gravel rocks there and a lot of people have flat tires so probably going to run to bliss but I'll bring some spare inner tubes to try to quickly go in there if I can't if if if if the cut on the tires too big for the Tire sealant to to close up on. Its Own Cowan are also going to say from afar. But we're going to do some stuff to help train training and I'm six foot four and I weighed into forty five and I waited again this morning being Monday. And I'm still a two forty five. So Bob Weight loss part has not come down much. I'm was six three six two and I weighed in my starting. Starting fighting weight was to sixty two and through the Super Bowl weekend. I stayed at two went up two to sixty four. Because you know it's Super Bowl. Super Bowl was like a fat man's holiday and Saw Gain to sixty four then lost back down to sixty two and I don't wait but every Tuesday so my way in his tomorrow. This this podcast is going to go out before my next way in. But I'll I'll check in the next time. Well I WANNA follow us. We have a link in the show notes to our Strada page. So those of you strata. You can either pay for it or use the free but we haven't encouragement ride at suck. It's called the club. I would more call it a group but it's encouragement ride group on or club on strata. We haven't linked to it. And if you have a straw again to be a part of it you can find me if I. Calvin you can also find Kyle and his son Chris. Chris and I did a ride yesterday with Kyle. It was one of our very few days. We're in the midst of about twelve fourteen days of solid rain so t the garage or find something to do. Yeah it's kind of tough. So my goal too long with Kelvin is just get as much time we can be it on a trainer or spend by or if the weather's good. I'll get out and ride you know just some Bas- miles then so I encourage y'all to do is.

"Twenty eight yes. I'm bringing the energy from the beginning so WANNA quieter at the end of the show. People don't mind I'm your host Jonathan Nervous of weekly playstation Asian. Show here celebrating our wonderful six hundred twenty eighth episode with a star studded cast. If I'm reading the show correctly I start with the person to my right Mexico. Bill you startled me just trying to keep you on your toes. Heavens also here at Rhino town of beyond there. We go and Tom Robbery marks because he's currently investigating a robbery in the office. Low of a tail. Yeah missing tale from a statue. Don't blow up the investigation. There's a tale missing from somebody and it's it's a long story on and off. It's it's it's a whole ordeal. Yeah bulletin stealing a statue tail sift the Great Wolf from dark souls. Somebody's still put it back and then they take it away again. It's driving me. It's a long con. We're pleased to work also. According to the Russia we have crank gets. Let's McDougal cutty. Is that correct. Yeah okay or cheese lawn puffer Kevin Smell Mente Taki Corcoran and Murphy. What about Phil mccracken Padma Grind. With every time they called in sick Before we start the show I did want to say thank you to everyone who wrote in On last week's show we put out a call for a new segment that we WANNA do highlighting some smaller details and games that we all love and so many of you wrote in. We seriously got dozens of responses as soon as the episode was that we were getting responses in which is incredible because it should take you at least an hour to listen to the show but thank you to everyone who wrote in. We'll definitely be reading a few of those for the end of this week. Show so stay tuned for those and continue right those and we'll get all the information of how to do that and do on a pulpit comment. I'm GonNa pull that up later in the show as well because I wanted to start off with a few bigger sort of topics that we could discuss for the week. Obviously playstation five news still hasn't happened. We still don't know when it's happening. We've got nothing to talk about so there would probably be speculation all of this but the first thing I did want to talk about is something we know is actually happening. Happening soon. Is Dreams is launching on Feb fourteenth and before dreams is in its full release. Obviously it was an early access for I think roughly about maybe eight nine months or so since early last year. End In to celebrate everything that's happened in the game. So far media molecule put on in award show the first annual. MP Awards this happened. I believe last week is when they hosted hosted these or earlier. This week I fold name choice. It will be. It's the character in the game but yes it probably brings to mind some out yet. Everyone's favorite game were. You make your own character I would love to have entered. That contest is not out yet. yes this is obviously for everyone who's been creating in early access and so I just wanted to briefly bring this up because has obviously as we're getting into dreams full release will be talking about it more but The categories included most helpful dreamer which went to neon the coder best curator the underscore community star project genesis most improved dreamer SD RU and Lodhi underscore double best visuals. Also outposts sixty best voice. Acting Celts beat Jones. or Go back with us. What was the for the for the role of it doesn't say the role? Oh Oh thank you. Sheriff dog in pig detective to that that was a classic role. I cannot wait to play trips us that you guys played pick detective one no. It's all Choi Baker which was amazing but for this guy to come along and take troy's place. Yeah it's impressive. That's I mean that's no small. Excuse excuse me Kelvin. Jones is now taking over on retro replay for Troy. That's true take all of his work The other Troy's doing pretty well The other the things that were nominated there if I may the performances where they came from opposite day five computer voices collection pick detective Halloween special and which he would i. I love dreams so much. I gotTa Watch this Best character was Frederick. The Fox from Cody Barry. Three three who beat out ruckus anesthesia. The Messenger mayuge Roger Roger White Beard and Bo mazing. That impey wasn't very scary. Favourite countries look hung up on opposite day. Five if you watch opposite one through four you'll understand. Favourite Streamer was project genesis. The AW award for cutest thing is color with crayons funniest creation which she woods best Song Rivera daylight best sculpture. The collector to best animation by duet and creator of the year was slur. Learn Mackenzie also best gameplay cubic by the underscore Burger van and there are about another half dozen more awards which which is all to say. It isn't saying how much has been created and dreams and the game isn't even officially yet. Yeah I know we haven't really gone a ton hands on in the office within outside kind of those of us who've played a little bit of early access but I think something we've all had an ion maritime accretion pops up on our feet or like how did so and put together. It's kind of how have you felt all about like sort of the pre release version of dreams of it. The way it's been. I think the community was doing which was trying to make the most realistic or just the best English breakfast in dreams. Oh yeah and it was some of the most it looked like final fantasy. Fifteen food beans on toast and sausage and bangers and Mash and all that stuff so what I love about that as it's very art school where like a teacher comes in and gives an assignment to the class and then everybody has a different interpretation of it like we got assignments that all the time and in art school where they would be like. Hey Go home and draw the devil in some people would be like they'd rather dad and other guy withdrawal like a literal devil then people withdrawal like the like the New York City. It'd be like wow. What are you trying to say there and they'd be like I'm trying to say that I painted this for a different class? But I'm double dipping. I mean it makes sense. That man was me. Did you paint New York. City is the devil yes and passed and now I'm here her to make you to governor but no it is interesting as this thing of I was thinking about it before we start recording. The show dreams was announced with the. ps four this has been part of the PS floors lifecycles. Since it's revealed that's insane in some form or another and it was all these. Ps Four uh-huh dreams Beta is on the way dreams releases on the way and we kept getting these delay stories. The laser is actually here. This is the first major AAA sort of first party exclusive for the PS four. This year and I was I was Razan those awards a little bit but at the same time I do think it's super cool. Eight of media molecule to honor its fan base in the fact act that they're really making the effort to not you know it's not just like here's our favorite thing. It's a bunch of different things in some very real categories is very very cool to me and it also also I think goes to show the scope. What's impressed me in this early access period? Is that the quality of work has improved so much not just the game image proved but like what people can make with it and it's also proven how varied things can be right. You Have Sculpture Song Game. There are all all.

"Quarter ton of riding hiding fun the sultans of cycling safety those braggadocious Behemoths Jimbo Rally and Kelvin Jones. Remember folks these two. We're a quarter of a ton so you don't have to take it away. Boys everybody walking to the encouragement ride. Podcast we are doing the first taping of Two Thousand Thousands Twenty Kelvin Jones Quarter Tuna Roddy Fund studios and collects that Mississippi and we got a we got a new partner in this. So I guess we're going to be now. Three quarter ton of Writing Fund. We got caught HAIRSTON. Calvin how has your year greetings and citations. My friend Yeah this is a been a been a nice year. We've actually been the weather's trying to cooperate with actually been trying to get some rides in during the winter months and staying being active in trying to stay up on our writing abilities and and you know what I got for Christmas I give up fat. That's what I got. I got that and what about you. How's everything with you? Go on good one good have been joined it because my son's getting involved and it's fun once you don't get excited about it and different types of running and stuff like that and he's really enjoyed it. Well let's talk about that. So how does your son. Chris is twelve twelve so I saw a lot of people who may be listening to the podcast. Maybe thinking you know what does the twelve year old do on a bicycle. But there's something that we have here in. Mississippi called Mississippi Blue's mountain biking team and how many how many twelve year olds are on there. It's great sixth through twelfth morally younger. Okay most of them are on because you can actually be high school age and be on the mountain biking team correct. Okay and where do you guys Ryan at. They practice Bicycle the revolution hearing loss and like a spin class that they do every Monday night and then every Sunday we try to do not what practice man walking skills but you know tomorrow there on. Close the trice because everything money right now night. The national traits here in Jackson Mississippi area and then they race against other mountain biking teams. Yes they do in Alabama. There's not a circuit here in Mississippi so the season. There's a rice every the other weekend in the springtime and will be going on there as many as we possibly can. Okay so what about other states. Do you know anything about Tennessee or Louisiana. Louis Theon or Arkansas is just. We're we're kind of like lumped in with Alabama we've We've put together a team that goes on there and rises. Because there's nowhere to arrive here. How many people are on the team here locally? You know I'll say about what the oldest you have any idea. I music like a senior in high school. I don't think so. I think what won't be the oldest one he sixteen sixteen. Say goes from in your son. Chris's twelve so we're looking at a team of a dozen kids between the ages of twelve and sixteen go and compete every couple of weeks at a different race around the around Alabama. Oh yes wow. That's pretty interesting. It's pretty cool. He didn't have anything like that when we were growing up. I don't think now now it was see. How far are we could hit a house with an egg? And and when you when you go over to Alabama how many teams do you race against you have any idea a lot of them. This is his first year to do it. So what we have to come back and give us a reward because if our listeners out there if they have children may be between the ages of twelve and senior high school and ride bikes and might be worth looking into the local bike shop to ask and see if there's any kind of like high school bike riding team or something like that because high schools are doing things. Now that we didn't have we grown up. I mean there's bowling teams. There's archery team us. There's Lacrosse teams James. I mean Cross has been around in of nor for a long time in the south. It's fairly new you know so. There's there's new sports that people are coming into that. We're not we're not familiar with and I'm wondering in a good friend of mine. His son actually is in Mississippi State Bass fishing team new those bass fishing teams in college. It's now high school. Yeah and so. I'm wondering if if there's going to be any kind of thing where you can get like a scholarship for mountain biking or something I west. They have Matt Mike Tapes at collegiate level. Do they're they're more club. Teams like Ole Miss Memphis University. They get cycling teams right the club level but in some of the the school's out West where they don't play football played college baseball basketball. They're starting to get more into the adventure. Sports try on teams cross country. Names actual uh-huh so yeah he's an emerging he's an emerging market is. He sounds like he's right at the edge of the ahead of the wave. It's a very good thing And you can see it on the soccer field. That's the only other sports does and he doesn't WANNA come out. He's never hardly breathing hard. His lungs are ready. Makes me sick. He decided one day he was going to run a half marathon neighborhood that he did. It decided around thirteen miles and he did a screen shot on struggle to ours. I Don I remember the first time I was at agent said I was going to go run down the street. I think major my neighbor's mailbox which was about eight hundred fifty S. Oh that's good so that's one topic that That our listeners may be interested in trying to Look at maybe something for their children about how to get involved as a family or House as butchered your child if they're into mountain biking and it really is it. Is it truly mountain. biking is a mountain biking course cyclocross or gravel bikes or anything like Yeah Martin bike trail riots okay. Mississippi is working towards getting it involves more involved in the misbehaves schools. Sports Association. Okay you start started developing so we'll just take a little time but you got to start someplace same way with the bowling in the bass. Fishing Lacrosse is just hockey with sticks and round balls and they tried to have hockey team at Omega. Three guys trying to try out. Uh All right. Well that's good so let's talk about. Some of our trials and errors of for the past year are still year interview review. So how do you think you're you're writing the this year Jimbo I was might target for this year was three thousand miles and I ended up right around eighteen. Eighteen hundred which was a little bit low Whether early this time of the year kind of set me back. I don't think I logged more than fifty miles from January Kan.. One through the middle of March just because the weather and travel is cold. I don't like riding in cold weather. I love cold weather but I don't like writing it when my finger and does start getting cold. I'm done. It's miserable for me now. I graduated from wrong. Did you do any writing in the mountains of Tennessee last year I did not. I didn't get a chance to take the bike up and do cades cove and enrolled around the Gatlinburg severe Valeria. Take it back. I did one ride with the local bike shop in an MBA and three in. I realized pretty quick and I'm a flat-lander were riding through some of the most treacherous busy roads roots and these guys are flying through cars or two or three feet away from us. This is in Tennessee. This was in survival but these guys knew they were done. Kept me safe pretty much. Might my mom is freaking out. You Know Semis won't buy me on a two lane road But it was. It was enjoyable. It was only about a twenty mile. Ride I had a hard time keeping up with them because they knew the terrain. I didn't know my gearing on some of the hills but on the way back we're coming into a headwind and these guys made I'm six four.

"Okay K Dick has some good feedback. Today he's very excited about sharing. What have you got dick? I've got a voicemail and some emails. How about that sounds good so so the voice mail is from Orissa and she has some beer recommendations for us so I I knew you always wanted to have new recommendations? I usually for cases but for beer. Okay a Dickin- Gel this is Marissa from Illinois. I just wanted to call and say thank you for the great podcasts. I'm new to the PODCAST game. I recently started home brewing and I was trying to find a good podcast about beer and some build upon yours And I love listening. Thank you guys so thank you so much for the great content. I do have some Beer recommendations for deck if you guys ever have a case either Illinois or Wisconsin I have two boys for you. The first one is a Wisconsin. Brewery is called glamorous. And you can't really go wrong at all. I'm with any of their beer. There's really good. I live pretty close to the border and See and I've taken a few trips. Destroy go get some of their beer. The other one is in Illinois Company is called revolution an awesome My boyfriend really likes anti hero. Which is an EPA and a really big fan of their holiday ale called fitness F.? I. S. T. M. A.. Asked ask both are really really good delicious beers. So if you ever have a case Out here I hope you will consider trying them but thank you so much for an awesome. podcast it's great listening. Thank you Marisa. Those are two good brewery soon. I was checking. I didn't think it had any beers from either one and I haven't US Oh definitely next. Illinois case or Wisconsin case will hook up with those breweries. One of the brewers and drink a good beer from all right sounds good okay now. We got some emails. This is for you Joe. This is from a lady in Benita which you might recognize right so this was an email we got from Benita Alexander in. She was the fiance of the doctor. Who made the faulty not tricks that were killing people and also had a whole other family while he was engaged to her Palo Makia Riney? So Benita wrote I stumbled across just your podcast about the downfall of Palo tonight as I was searching for something else generally. I don't torture myself by listening to people who offer their armchair analysis of my story and Palo's outrageous lies but I have to say you too impressed me. You not only done your homework thoroughly. You raise all the questions that need to be asked. You also amused me. Gills Blunt hilarious comments such as uncommon. Fucker had me chuckling out loud I appreciate Gills Gentle Defensive Mea moments when Dick was skeptically questioning. Why in the hell? I didn't hear alarm bell screaming much sooner than I did. Love unfortunately can indeed make us very blind anyway. I thought you might find this article interesting if you haven't seen it already. And she sent us a link to an article she wrote. It isn't really as dramatic because it sounds as he won't actually have to serve any time behind bars. This is Italy after all where he is deeply connected so it amounts to more of a stern warning or are a probation however you want to characterize it it's another blemish on his once seemingly impeccable resume but it still doesn't amount to much of a punishment punishment for his medical and scientific crimes. I'll be tuning in again. Great Show so thank you Benita. Thank you very much now. I know you clicked on the Lincoln. Read the the articles. So what can you tell us about it. Well as she said it sounds worse than it actually was. The article is from MED. Scape which is just a Doctor type of thing or they published different articles and has talked about him being sentenced to sixteen months in prison for illegally. Perform a procedure seizure. Not not his Faulty Trachea but he did a procedure and then he falsified the records or disposed to the records or something to escape Detection so it sounds like he's gone in prison for sixteen months but as Miss Alexander stated he didn't have to Surrey won't actually have to serve any jail realtime right that's just one more black mark against oc democracy me. Well you know. In my opinion once doctor does something shady shady like that that puts a person's life endanger even. Kill someone. They should be a doctor anymore. I mean fewer. US doctor he would have his license stripped ripped so the laws in Italy different. That's what it is his connected as she said Yeah. I just don't think that anyone should be able to operate on a person if they're not one hundred percent trustworthy. We're talking about people's lives here. We are the other interesting thing Ari talked about. How the Karolinska Orlinsky institute kind conveniently ignored the sirens? That regarding off about Dr Macarena. Because they wanted the prestige associated did with him. It was a fascinating story. Really just a Spinney to said love is blind. I guess love in the case of the Carolin institute was equally blind and yeah because didn't she speak to some doctors who said that he was basically murdering people were absolutely horrific. Okay so next. We have the question about a case from Allison Allison says I'm a relatively new listener. But it only took me a couple of episodes to decide to join team tigr ever. I've been listening being in the car while doing housework. And when I get into bed at night. Despite the sometimes grisly subject matter I find your voices extremely relaxing. I came across awesome perplexing case with a bizarre medical twists that I thought would be interesting to dissect pun intended probably in Philadelphia. Nineteen Sixty Four thirty-three-year-old three-year-old Kelvin. Jones was driving around with his girlfriend. twenty-three-year-old Sarah Tober when the two got into an argument and he proceeded to beat her with a rubber for host. He drove around for hours with her unconscious body until he realized that she had died and then he went to a police station to turn himself self in for murder. However when the medical examiner performed the autopsy he concluded that she would have died of a rare blood disease by the morning regardless of the beating she had sickle cell? Anemia and the autopsy report attributed her death to natural causes. Ultimately Jones was only charged with assault and battery and did plead guilty to those charges. I would love to hear Dixie medical opinion on this case. Is it possible for the Ma to know for sure that Saratoga would have died in near hours. Anyway are there medical advancements that would more accurately determine that today over or fifty years later. I love your podcast and I'll definitely keep sending my money each month for the disturbing material the clever married Banter and Dick's peer reviews news. made the poor's with you all right. Thanks Allyson groner house and I like that one. Yeah so that is fascinating though. What do you think well? You can't make that statement. I wouldn't think so either. That's what I thought. So that's the short answer sickle cell. Anemia is Disorder where a single amino acid is switched in the chain for hemoglobin producing sickle cell disease. Or if is only one of them sickle cell trait and what that means is it. Under certain conditions you can have a episodes of thrombosis or cladding in the blood vessel. So you can have these sickle cell crises that can lead to death not in that time period. Will you can be hospitalized in. There are some things they can can dude at least temporarily save you right. Oh sure yeah so. I don't see how he could say that. So yes you can find out or determine that she did. It has sickle cell anemia. But there's absolutely no way for him to say with any degree of certainty that she would have died within a short time from natural causes. Well this might be a stupid question. But I'm going to ask it anyway. If the beating was making her have internal bleeding could that put her into a sickle cell crisis. Well well there's lots of things because crisis infection stress and so on so sure may be the the trauma from the beating provoked the sickle cell crisis. That's what I'm thinking but even then I mean that's kind of posing affect well exactly I mean just because I don't know I'm trying to think of another example of such a thing where someone would be murdered. And maybe they wouldn't have died if they didn't have a certain condition. It doesn't mean it's not murder you're right makes sense. Yeah Yeah but I guess the answer Allison Question of no. There wasn't any way that he could give this diagnosis pseudo. She would have been dead very quickly. So let's research that then and see how he got away with that 'cause that's fascinating to me. We're got away with it because the EMI said we'll how the emmy got away with it I mean why would an emmy say that and who would say okay and agree with that real. Heard suppose it was because maybe Sixty years ago or whatever fifty. Some years ago there wasn't as much known about sickle cell disease. That's something else in herself. Did bring up and you get an thirty like this medical examiner says. Oh yeah she. She did have these injuries but she would have died anyway with her because of her sickle cell disease. He's right earn. People will sign off on it when I guess part of that to me would also be the extent of the beating. Was it a beating. That could have been deadly so so there's a lot I'd like to look in to with that one year. That's a great one. Thanks Alison interesting case. Hey we have one more youtube comment that you can read. This is from Ma'am to nine and the youtube comment from the episode called four little witnesses which involve the murder of Sheila relish. Yes Sheila was a mother of was quadruplets or grouplets. Okay we'll four yet quadruplets right and the little babies were with her when she was murdered right and it was a murder carried out by someone her ex husband had hired right all right. So ma'am twenty nine row. So she he says I humbly disagree in this case using a belt is not abuse. The busybody neighbor did not do the right thing. The daughter was a spoiled Brat. Who didn't like being told old? No okay so if I remember correctly this was a young teen or tween daughter who was acting out. Sheila had remarried and she ran to her neighbor because her mom had hit her with a belt to discipline her and the neighbor win ahead and and called the father so the father found out where they lived. The EX husband the murderer. She's the one that got them found out where they were. The neighbor neighbor did so. I don't think the neighbor should have done that so I do think using about his abuse and I do agree though that the neighbor did the wrong thing hanging telling the ex husband Alan blackthorn a true psychotic where the family was living. I mean she didn't know the situation she didn't know who this guy was but that she did know that they were living in hiding away from him and it was none of her business. So from what I remember of the case Alan Blackthorn. The EX husband spoke to this neighbor burn kind of charmed her and she gave him information he shouldn't have had and then Sheila ended up getting murdered. Not that long after route so oh I think if the neighbor was really concerned about abuse she should have simply called the police spoken to the mother. But you don't just tell some man on the phone that you don't I don't know anything about what's going on and where he can come get his daughter that he doesn't have custody of. That's my opinion. Yes and I'll just go back to the sense in this case using a belt is not abuse it most certainly is abuse it s and and if you come into my office and tell me that you had to punish your daughter by whipping her with a belt. I'm calling child protective services. So there's no place for corporal punishment of children even if they're Bradey twelve year olds or whatever they know. I mean I almost sympathized with Sheila in this case at least the way that the story was written out to me is that the daughter was a hell Ian. But you're right. It doesn't isn't justify using a belt nowhere justifies it. Now you're right so we'll leave it at that so we disagree about that. But thank you very much for your comment. So that's sit for feedback now. If you have comments suggestions or questions you can send us an email to true crime brewery at Tigr Dot Com Bourbon. Better leave us.

"Of fun. It is a big NFL weekend. We've kind of diving into all the games. Obviously one of the bigger rivalry ones. Includes the ravens and the Steelers. No, one better we bring them on. Now. God as mill ravens color analyst SuperBowl champion as well joins me. Now. What's going on, man? How you been? I'm doing great. I think this week is you're right. It's going to be a huge one in many ways for the ravens why the kinda see if they're a contender pretender, you know, it's interesting you say that because if I tell you take away the last five quarters of the Baltimore Ravens. They are a foreign to team, and they have a double digit lead going into the fourth quarter against the saints. What changed? Drew Brees and Cam Newton to MVP caliber quarterbacks upper tier offenses guys that have been in big games before. And if you look at the games prior to them outside of Big Ben Rothlisberger over in Pittsburgh. You really saw some good quarterbacks not necessarily upper tier quarterbacks. Like the ones we saw those last five quarters. I mean, I guess we when you look at it. It does make a lot of sense. All right. So now you look at this ravens team you use the terminology pretender or contender. And you are as close to the team as anyone covering this team. So in your estimate, do they feel like one or the other? Well, they feel like a contender. And that's something that I'm hoping to see on display against Pittsburgh. But as Bill Parcells has famously said, you know, you are what your record says you are there five hundred team. They're not right now in position to say, hey, we are in upper tier team. Excuse me, when you're sitting middle of the pack when you say middle of the pack in the league teams passed you by and I think this is an important division game because you can't go one in three of the sufficient expect to put yourself in a position to win the AFC north. He has Qadri meal. Ray Vince color commentator SuperBowl champion joining me calling the shots. Zari NBC, sports radio and NBC sports radio dot com. What are we to make of Alex Collins? He he showed some signs last season, obviously has some fumbling issues. How do you gauge what he is? Yeah. I think he has shown an ability to be an explosive back guy action. Get you fifty yards at a at a time big chunk runs. The problem is we haven't seen it this year. I think going into even last week's game. It was only a thirteen yard fourteen yard run that was the longest run up the season, so far, and that's just not acceptable. And I think the the running game with Alex Collins has a featured back has been kind of stuck in neutral. They ranked twenty fourth it's you know, below average. It's it's not what we thought was going to happen. As far as him having a break out year. I know he's had some issues as far as his ankle. And all of that. But yeah, he's he's cost at the ball a little bit. And I think that that's been unfortunate. But then at the same time, you know, if you wanna stay in this game, you gotta do what you gotta do. And for running back. It's holding onto the football. So I think you know, right now, it's talent is a interesting position. Especially now the wake of the time Montgomery trade from Green Bay. What? Yeah. All right. So I want to get at the time Montgomery, then like what do you know about him and how he can fit into this? What what could his role be with Baltimore? Yeah. Sure. You know, I think part of what FOX more has been lacking over the last few seasons now outside of just the injuries that they kind of incurred. But I think part of the running game has been non existent and having that, you know, really do threat back since Ray rice has been here without that element. You've seen just an office. Not really do it needs to. And I think they're hoping that time Montgomery who we've seen him in Green Bay make some big plays. Not only, you know, getting the ball from a handle standpoint. But also run into the ball out of Axial and it's a passing game. And so I think he's a viable dole threat target. And that's something that the ravens are going to need. They need a spark. I mean, that's just the bottom line. They don't. Have that spark cadre? I've I've had people ask me this. And I I don't know the answer. Lamar jackson. He is obviously the the team decided to trade off and draft him in the first round. And he's been used kinda sparingly is that on purpose or like is. He just not ready like what what's the deal with Lamar. Yeah. Well, I think first and foremost they feel like they have their quarterback. And Joe flacco Joe was defiant when they talked about the quarterback controversy in the beginning of of training camp. He's like look all I know is I'm gonna be playing so well, and we're gonna be playing so well that it's it's going to be a non story whether five hundred they're not playing well, and it is a story. And so I think part of what we've seen with the Lamar Jackson packages down in the red zone. They've also had some other points in the field of play as far as his package and his playing. But overall, I think, you know, they're they're content with developing him. I think that you know, they still feel that the season is is right there for the taking. So with that said, I don't see them, you know, going out and trying to put Lamar in and taking out. Joe I think that they will try their best to give Joe is much opportunity to do his best. Can. And I think if in fact, you know, the season turns the other way, then that's what we'll probably see Lamar and Joe flacco if he is in fact bench, they're replacing the will be the last week of Joe. And that'd be a shame. I think Joe has been such a such a good thing for the ravens over his last whatever it is twelve years in the league codgy you will play with a bunch of teams NFL Vikings. You were part of the Packers dolphins. Saints ravens colts. When it comes to rivalries. Many people think this is the best one ravens and Steelers where do you sit with that? Yeah. What makes her rival is is it's the close games. It's winning football. Both teams have won their respective championships. With the head coaches both team has had their marquee players over the years, and it usually comes down to a player too. And I think this year, you know, it is where you could see. A change that is at what four to a one compare it to a five hundred four four ravens ball club. Pittsburgh would like nothing better than she just seal the fate of a Baltimore in Baltimore clearly from Pittsburgh standpoint. We love to kinda kick start their their second half their season by beating their archrival in Pittsburgh, it it makes a great theater Qadri s ravens a color commentator joins me. Now. Superbowl champion on Twitter. It is college. And then I S M A I L are calling the shots either as area NBC sports radio. Do you sometimes feel like maybe you were born in the wrong generation? And I say this, I'm half kidding. But I remember watching you play and your hands and your speed, but you will obviously a shorter wide receiver in comparison. And I feel like that's starting to become the trend in the NFL now like the Tyree kills of the world are dominating in the NFL. You know, what I I think the NFL it's cyclical I think that you see guys that look for size. And then you see guys at looked for speed you she got to look for possession. I think it's cyclical I think that you know, what I love about this league. Now, it's the fact that with the new rules as far as, you know, targeting hitting guys and all of that it makes for an uptempo game and it favors are ABC period. So if you have speed, you're not going to necessarily be jammed at the line of scrimmage, so you don't have to worry about the size per se, you know, as far as going over the middle. You're not, you know, having a a safety just largest body full flow at you and break in half. So you don't necessarily have that worry as far as the door. Receiver. So I think that you know, certain coaches are taking what they have as far as the college ranks and place it into offices where they can get smart players who can do the run pass option or spread. Look, you know, I think that that's what has made the influence over the game at the receiver position and more. So than just size and. I am six hundred one and I was considered a big receiver. See why? Then why why would I listen I, and I'm not trying to I hope that wasn't. You know, you are mad at. No, not at all. I always feel. Feel fast. I feel like you know, running down a football field for three was fast for me. And I think it was productive. All I think, you know. Yeah. That's six foot three plus. Kind of a receiver. Yeah. I get it. You know? The funchess off the world or the Kelvin Jones or whatever Julio Jones. Absolutely. But then I think you got the Antonio Brown's also who has ruled the roost as far as the upper tier guys are concerned. I thank you know, Odell Beckham, you know, is it's he's halfway between both and Antonio Brown. You know, I I think that if you can play is the bottom line, they're gonna find you. They're gonna want you on their team talent takes care of everything. Do you have a favorite receiver to watch in today's NFL? I think in my opinion Antonio Brown is is the most exciting receiver, and and just as far as overall tell him he can run it from the slot. It could go from the outside. He beats a one on one. He's been frequently double chain yet took still just catches. Yeah. I I love his game and his play in his style. He has Qadri Ismael once again joining me calling the shots. Keith. There is area. NBC sports radio NBC sports radio dot com. How much you getting the chance to pay attention to your Syracuse orange? They're looking good this year. Yeah. Eligible I think, of course favor is really got the guys, you know, looking like a top twenty five team. And and you know, now, it's it's a matter of you know, finishing off the year. I I always kinda hell judgment a little bit. Because you know, the bottom line is is that we've seen good. Syracuse teams kinda fall apart towards the end of the year. I think this year the fact that they are both great. I think that if they can continue to win and win the way they have. And you know, hopefully, this is a sign of the turnaround and and kind of look back at the late eighties early nineties run where you just went to a bowl game regularly. And and was able to produce wins. Dude. It's always great catching up proud of you for all the success. Keep it up, and I'm sure we'll talk again soon. Absolutely. Appreciate you have me on as always. There is Qadri. Smell ravens color commentator Super Bowl thirty five champion. Follow him on Twitter. Qadri ismael. I S M A I L more next call the shots key. It's oddly enough as an athlete trainer. I do sure kind of a catch twenty two yeah to the irony there. I'm an athlete so keith. <hes> you know so you know i always did marathons back in two thousand and two thousand house and seventy thousand and eight i became very familiar with plantar fasciitis very familiar with the performance muscle in my buttocks region and even when i do long rides though still come back to haunt me not my foot so much plantar fasciitis but the performance most austere feel like i got a little tennis balls up in their there <hes> after i get off a ride and everything else and that's what i was telling you earlier that i stretch about you know. Try to stretch those out as much as i can't. <hes> why don't you tell us a little bit about what some good stretches stretches for cyclists are and what the performance is and anything else that you think you might encounter on <hes> riding a bicycle most of the time the peerformance this is a very very small muscle at very deep in the in the but <hes> so the best way to stretch it basically as almost like a figure four where if it's bothering you say on your right side and you take your right knee and bring it up toward the left shore. That's a very good way to stretch the performance. Uh basically anywhere you are <hes> especially after rioting and let me stop right there. The best time to stretch is after an activity activity when your body is good warmed up right ways like you know if you put if you wanna pour syrup bottle you don't put it in in the refrigerator straighter port after it's cold. You warm gops maria. Hey corner time we all about some go to cracker barrel hot and come on. I'm orton but other things that cyclists have lower back pain a lot of times. I'm being in that position that arab positions such a long time and you can work your way up the spine minded in the shoulders get tight the mid back at cypher the threat and all of that so the best way to stretch those types of things is basically you. You know what position you're in. We cycle. You reversed that to stretch so here in the in the aero position cycle you i want to do what's called prone. Excuse me brass up easy for me to say right is that like cobra in yogurt exactly similar cobra and like a hyperextension laid out on your stomach and push yourself up. Leave your pelvis on the floor the bad whenever you're on push up using almost like a push physician <music> but leaving your pelvis down so you're you're you're taking it back from where you're normally would be. That's a good idea. All i've been doing other do things other ways to stretch out. The cervical thoracic spine would be a good phone roller technically. I was just gonna ask what what do you recommend is like doing foam and those kind of just laying down on top of a foam roller and doing almost like a in yoga. I would <hes> what position called. I'm not a baby yoga person <hes> and your hand over your your son dolled or something like saying moore your favorite position as the dead pos. That's all after it's over chevy fatal. Take your all your yoga instructor. Exactly <hes> <hes> you wanna take your hands up over your head so down on top of the roller and just take your hands up over your head just time to mobilize your your rask's mind as much as possible and so those rollers are really good too for your legs to i've seen people sitting now sitting down just kind of rolling their legs over them exactly sitting on them actually enrolling back and forth. That's work when i try. It's hard. It's really hard foam roller but i've got one of these things with handles that you cannot muster roller a stick stick. Yeah i've done that. The foam roller works really well. You want to do a lot of rotational type stuff just to aid in when you're trying to look back checking your for your shoulder for traffic in touch. I wanna keep you cervical spine neck also yeah. That's what i find too. Sometimes it's when i turn around and look or whatever i find that little founded little grinding or or stiffness my because i've kept it in the same position the whole time okay well good hamstring stretch bend over grabbing your ankles oddly enough every night when after tron ridden or every time after i read when i get home take a shower i do a little hamstring straightened shower to replace him and the two yeah i mean you kill two birds with one stone yeah so keith. I know that <hes> you know a lot of people listening to is they. They may have a hard time picturing these things what would be a good resource like an internet site or something with pictures or videos where they could. Maybe find something about about these stretches for beginners you want to. I'm trying to think of what one would be off the top of my head. There's a couple of guys that you want to edit this out. We can edit this out recording. Our podcast does lead you. There's just started. This is a good resource for that'd be a good resource to find either videos or website that would teach some of our listeners about good stretching for psychol- yeah some good reputable websites are mayoclinic has good website out there <hes> <hes> another one.

Episode numbered zero zero seven even today. We're gonna talk about different types of bikes and some excerpts from a video that we posted on our facebook page kelvin. How're you doing brother. Did you say today is episode zero zero seven yes. I'm such a bond freak. I love line from goldfinger and i'll make it bike related. Do you expect pick me to walk. No mr bond. I expect you to ride. Would you like your change's. Sake it or stern change. They can or third horrible horrible. Oh gosh let me some bind. Thank you for the editing software and we got a mistake from our last episode. We had a special so shout out to mr chris williams. Mr chris williams didn't write anything it was charlie williams charge already sorry charlie <hes> but no charlie thank. Thank you again so much for the for the review. We appreciate it. Sorry we screwed up but <hes> chris williams. Y'all was one. You're still doing rubino when abu abby absolutely all right sports fans well. We're gonna talk about different types of bikes today and i'm not talking about the big ones little ones. We're going to talk about different types of bikes that you you have access to in. Some of you may have several these kind as a matter of fact. I'm get two of them and i'll let you all kind of decide which tea you think i've got but we're gonna talk about different types to bike different kinds of writing styles now like in the previous episode like the personalities but different types of things that you might feel comfortable with one size doesn't fit all i'm. I'm sorry to interrupt yeah 'cause jimbo. We ride road bikes and that's kind of like what we talked about. Eighty percent but many of you who may be listening may not be a road by i didn't road bikes may not be for you. You may have a hybrid. You may have a mountain bike whenever we're just gonna briefly talk about that just a minute yeah so we're gonna talk about different types of bikes and you know this kind of like cars. You got big sedans little sedans as she as she you know trucks trucks. That kind of stuff in in bikes can accommodate ciller categories but they usually have two wheels. Some of them have rate some have one but we ride that but but what about just different bikes have on these them out like when i first very very first got back into cycling some eighteen years ago because that's how my daughter is as i bought them out like in a rudder around my neighborhood i used it like a robot but it was just a big heavy track that i still love off to this day but i've gone into some trouble writing and a little bit of gravel righty. We'll talk about specific bikes for that but you know for folks who are in areas is that maybe the traffic's a little heavy in you want to get off the beaten path a little bit and get awesome dirt roads. A mountain bike is wonderful option. I cannot encourage enough then my goal. This year was to three thousand miles over off and eight hundred of those miles. I wanna do off of asphalt why eight hundred just as a number two to have a if you don't have a goal you always in it ain't nothing you'll hit it every time every time and his louis resorts at aim low boys deriving shetland pony missouri so mountain biking road biking. You're my to my to go to and calvin. We'll talk about maybe some hybrids yeah back in about two thousand and nine two thousand and ten when i gave up running believe it or not this big old boy of mine <hes> that you're listening to us to actually do marathons and half marathons and my feet just kind of gave out so i said i've got to get on a bike and take some pressure off my feet. Well i pulled out the old trek. Eric hybrid in a hybrid is kinda like a bike with like a straight handlebars across the honest. Not it can go on the road. If you hit some gravel it can kinda golden gravel or less when they call it a hybrid. It's a mix between the two and <hes> it's a comfort by it's a hybrid comfort bike and i had one of those the first time i went out. I think i took it. Maybe eighty four miles. That was my first ride in like thirty years. Perhaps <hes> but <hes> like i said in earlier thing i felt like i was gonna donate along uh-huh but <hes> i was able to get through that and i fell in love with biking because the four miles that i did. I was under this lush canopy of trees. It was shady so nobody body around going by little horse pasture just a beautiful thing and i just fell in love with nature again and being out on the road by myself and enjoying the sights and the smells <hes> while allows penalty so yeah. I've got a special always have a special place in my heart for the hybrid or the comfort bike and many of you out. There may have one of those that's fine. If that's all you want to do that. That's that's great because i'm all about comfort absolutely and in what's kind of cool is that the <hes> hybrid bike is really good for like family trips. They're they're heavy bikes which means you're going to be fairly stable but they're not so heavy that you can't control says they're going to be easy to go with the wheels or narrow you can go about as fast as you want to go and if you're a you're just going to go back to zero episode zero zero six if you have questions about the gearing and the in the brakes and everything on lease comfort bikes trini bikes that we talked about going back and listen two zero zero six the bite that kelvin i spend most of our time on is that road bike road bike has that classic drop handlebar a bar curl own ver- very thin <hes> some cases very light but it's the wispy frame with the big wheels and funky guys wearing earn tight shorts and or as we call mammals where middle aged men in lycra there you go <hes> yeah so i mean some of these robots can be steel-framed. They can be aluminum menam frame. They can be carbon fiber framed or even. I guess maybe titanium titanium was out there at my favorite bike. I've got an old candidate. That's an old aluminum frame and and got to get got to get back up to road worthiness but absolutely my favorite bike when you start getting into the different road bikes you'd like kevin said you've got different options option steel aluminum fiber titanium certain degree and they all come with different price points <hes> but i will tell you this the heavier the bike the more comfortable the ride when i ride my aluminum bike i feel less but when i'm on that when i'm on my carbon black i can feel every single crackle and it's tough sometimes for or as big boy sometimes awesome bumpy roads <hes> you're. You're getting beat up from the feta. I've had to check make sure my feelings are still in my mouth and then we get into to what we call the rolling couches and these were for our friends that ride the <hes> the recumbent bikes and the pricing some leaves are like little actually they're not little. They're actually very big there long but they're bike statue. Don't traditionally sit in sit on you. Sit in those sites. I called him. No writers me. They are low riders and i kind of laughed. I got a couple of guys go by me in their head comes up to about my hip <hes> to make sure i don't you know squirting water bottle in the wrong direction. You might take somebody yup but these come in two in three will around these trikes and some of the folks that ride with us that ride those had either a back problem or an issue he was sitting in the saddle for long periods of time and this is a great great alternative. They're great on the flats and a great downhill but sometimes had a little trouble going up. I had a friend of mine in who is in the medical field. He wrote a road bike for many many years and then all of a sudden he had some issues with his neck and the his doctor told him that you know one fall off road road biking could be possibly injured for light simply because of the way his neck shape was so that forced him to get off the road bike in all he does now's recumbents and he loves them. A low dosage kind of one of those deals is folks who like you know certain craft beers. You may not like beer but they like to craft beer folks. Who do the recumbent arm. Recumbent guys is and that's fine. They're hard draft sometimes but very great way. If you want to get into cycling not worry about falling far yeah. That's a good one and actually i can't recall the article that i'm talking about now but i did read something somewhere. I promise idea if there's only internet it had to be truth that car can actually actually see a recumbent rider better than they can see an upright writer because your back is more towards the cards that have leaned forward in a in a stance colder yeah so that's more area yeah a little bit more area so now i love that you know they. They shouldn't have a problem senior i because they wonder where <music> omar the tent maker has been well. The next one is kind of the new new bike on the up and coming. It's the hot nothing coming. There's races out there. It's the cyclocross bike and some people use that as a gravel by where people just want to get out and do they'll they'll ride trails on this in a given idea what they look like they look like regular road bike but sometimes little more substantially built and he's got knobby tires yep they got wider thicker tyres with a wider therefore to hold the tires but for the most part ninety percent of the bike resembles a road bike almost to the point you can get your mountain bike out there and do that <hes> with the big mountain on bike tires. You are going to be a little bit slower. We'll take that for every mile that you do on a road bike if you're out there on a mountain bike gravel roads at two miles so if i do ten ten miles on a road bike i felt like i did twenty on the gravel bike but you know that's why they make specific gravel bikes to make that easier but we'll tell you if your gun shy about about being out in traffic gravel bikes are cyclocross. Bikes are the way to go because you don't have a lot of cars not at all not not at all and it is fun to go out there and get lost now. The problem with that is sometimes. He's grabbing rose. Go out in the middle of nowhere so if you have probably better he better make sure somebody who knows where you're at and if you hear banjo music peddle faster fountain brown and the last one we're going to kind of talk about today is going to be the the tandem bikes and the tandem bikes the bicycle built for two and those are becoming more popular we in our area in madison county mississippi. There's actually tandel bike festival of just a few weeks ago and it was a you know all of the united people think they had thirty two state each represented a few countries and is also a wine tasting involved with that long road absolutely <hes> but yeah the tandem bikes are are becoming just as as high falutin as the more modern road bikes and harbert. They gear shifts there. They're made of fibre. They're they're just good good. Good fun stuff in the final. We want to talk about are the cruisers. Oh yeah you may explain these outweigh. If you live near a coast and you go to to the beach fix in fix skis yeah well we the city. The city bikes has what they call fixes. I don't know really what that means but eight years they have fixed years like you don't have you don't have them where they show cruisers. You've probably seen an basket in front of you. See you see jimmy buffet type guy with the with the deep dark tan flipflops <hes> just kind of going about three miles an hour down the sidewalk in front of the beach enjoying life. Sometimes i envy those guys because i have to go back to work but those are cruiser bikes to those good. Those are pretty much work anywhere as well. A lot of us probably started on some sort.
