NFL Cardinals Beachum Zambia, intro wrap-Ferry1

"Kelvin beach and his traveled the country as an offensive tackle, playing for the Steelers Jaguars jets and Cardinals since 2012. In March, he made a trip to Zambia after constructing two clean water wells and financing a third. We actually wanted to actually see the work. We wanted to see how it impacted people and how water impacted their lives, how access to what impacted their lives and those who did not have access to how it affected their lives. Beacham was the Cardinals, Walter Payton man of the year in 2021 for his humanitarian work. He's associated with food banks in his hometown and every city where he's played. Beecham also was a champion of local education equity, but his association with world vision has led him to international causes. I met world vision this has to be 2015 with 2014, 2015, and I got introduced to him through the NFL PA as young man Dexter Santos. And he knew what I was doing quite a bit here domestically and I told him to start thinking about things on a global scale. Beacham says he doesn't do it for acknowledgment. I think I'm going to do the work regardless. It's not about whether I can support for the National Football League or the NFL V8 or fans. I would do this work because I think that this is important. This is the legacy that I want to leave for my children. This is the work that I want my children to grow in. Does beach and plan to go back to Zambia? So the question is, do we take Ikea to make due to retirement trip? So we love to see anytime we make an investment so you want to see what does it look like over time. Given his track record of humanitarian effort, there are more international trips in beecham's future. I'm Dave ferry.

Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson. We've only lost two games. We probably should have lost some more. We're lucky lucky to only have two losses. Teams don't usually go 23 and two. But again, you know, losses never really bothered me that much. Emmanuel sharp finished with 13 points for Houston while Tremont Mark finished with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Adam spelling Houston

"Stop being annoying. It's not that serious bro. it's just football. I'm going to swipe left. Also but i'm gonna have it from a different perspective. Which is i. Don't blame anybody's personal relationships for poor performance on the field. I mean it just so happens that the packers looked yesterday and they made the new orleans saints look really really great yesterday but i thought what aaron rodgers said after the game was really interesting. This is of course after he put his hair in his man bun. And i don't care how rich you are. How famous you are. How great you are. I had a man bun. I'm here to tell you we all looked terrible in the mand bunch but aaron rodgers said yesterday's like hey it's one game like we played really badly. It's still only one game and there are still sixteen more games. Yeah let's see what happens to the packers before it's all said and done. Well remember they. They got their butts kicked against tampa in tampa aaron. How terrible game then to and it worked out okay. After that i think it was like week five or whatever it was last year and they still made it to the and dial like yeah. It will work out. It'll be just fine by the way. Jameis winston and sean payton. I love that marriage. When i was filling in for max a couple of weeks ago i was all over that like when they were debating. This tastes hilfiger tastes. He'll he'll give jamison coach and let's see what he can do and so far so good tastes. Them hill was a guy that was on the new orleans saints roster on the kickoff coverage team and they figured out you know what he's too good of an athlete to go. Let's find a way to use him. That's where this whole kind of swiss army knife position came. But he's not a real quarterback. He's a gimmick quarterback. Yes that's exactly what he is. He's a good quarterback all right. Speaking of gimmicks are very popular gimmick radio. Tinder is done for today every day at five thirty. Make sure you're listening to radio. Tinder we got it. Because lindsey brought it eight seven seven ten espn. I know we've got a fool. Border calls people that want to chime in on se. That people klay hilton's go. Who do you wanna see. Why how do you feel about the clara. Did they waste too much time with this situation. Eight seven seven seven ten. Espn if you're ucla. Fan how are you feeling about this situation at the moment. Bring it strong. Give it to us at eight. Seven seven seven. Espn eight seven seven. Seven three seven seven six. Also you have performance anxiety and public restroom. Saw you know what. I'm talking about spring. We'll get to that plus news on the nba. That you're gonna wanna be cleaned onto if you're a laker fan explaining them. Yeah man i. It's so every time. I listened to park and i. I have a lot of his songs in my phone. I find myself just going man. I missed that dude and not only for his music obviously but just his social commentary like. He's such a brilliant dude. He was such a great artists. Like you know. I'm sure many people our age kind of know how how town he was beyond just wrapping performing like he was an unbelievable dancer like he. I believe he went to juilliard like he was an incredible talent. Man is still to this day. Twenty five years later whenever it's been sorely missed man. Twenty-five years is incredible. And it just reminds me george that this saturday was september eleventh and it was the twenty year anniversary of nine eleven. Two thousand one. And i took a picture this past saturday with my four kids. We went to a bar to watch football game. Because my kids all know this quarterback from notre dame he went to high school in san diego. My kids all knew the guy so we went to this bar to watch this game. And i took a picture and i realized that on september eleventh. Two thousand one. I had one child who was about six months old at that time. And i looked at this picture. Look at these kids. Twenty one thousand nine hundred seventeen fourteen. Wow that's twenty years. That's how you kind of measure the years twenty five years flu like that twenty years the same deal so shout out to pock and shout out to everybody that was thinking about nine eleven this past saturday. Yeah for sure. Obviously happened in vegas and mike tyson after mike tyson fight and all that speaking of vegas vegas raiders are playing at the moment and scoreless with two minutes to go in the first quarter. We'll keep you up to date on how that's going. Speaking of the raiders. Though in vegas retired about keyshawn the other day we played that audio whatever keyshawn had derek carr and his top five and i felt that was a little bit of a troll job like by the way the ravens just scored a long touchdown touchdown run their run middle. Right through the gut of the raiders. Defense tight tyson. Williams thirty five yard. Td run and a lot of people. Now have him on their fantasy team. Because gus edwards also went down We all know. Jacob dobbins with two for the ravens but kisha benching. Derek carr was in his top five and elite quarterbacks. And i i just felt like had to be atro- gruden because i i don't see derek carving. A top. five quarterback is easy. Like is he top of anything like individually scott. You covered the nfl for a long time. You played college football you you are in training camps in the nfl. You know. i'm talking about arm strength accuracy. Anything like is there anything you can look at derek carr and you say to yourself. That guy is at this particular skills at within the quarterback. Construct there's not one thing that i can think of not one thing it all that derek carr top five quarterback in the nfl not anything not in forty yard dash time not in two hundred twenty five pound bench. Press not in. Throw the ball as far as you can throw it not in terms of speed not in terms of accuracy. Now look his whole perception could change or at least my perception of him could change. If all of a sudden the raiders became a winning team. And maybe derek carr finds himself playing in a super bowl. My perception of derek carr is that he is a middle of the road. Average starting quarterback. And if i were the raiders. You know the one thing i'd be thinking about is i look at the rest of the division george and i'd say okay so kansas city has the number one guy in the nfl. The chargers have a young kid who only in his second year. Who already looks like a superstar coming off last year. What he did this past weekend in washington while denver doesn't really have their quarterback situation handled per se. Teddy bridgewater look pretty good this past weekend. Derek carr just always looks to me like a middle of the road guy so until he gets to the playoffs. That's how i'm gonna perceive him. Which by the way. George gets us right back to matthew stafford i perceived matthew stafford the same way and detroit. He's a good quarterback with really good stats. And he's a super tough durable guy who can play through injuries but all of that being said he individually was unable to bring everybody else around him up to his level. Now it's football. It's not basketball. He's one guy in eleven. And he played for a terrible franchise. All those things are true. But he just couldn't elevate everybody and now he's with the rams where he doesn't necessarily have to because the rams are used to winning are accustomed to it and they expect it and there's the big difference for me. Yeah i mean. Look i i just think that i look at matthew stafford though compared to derek carr like matthew. Stafford's got a gun bro. Like that thing is should be illegal to carry. You know what. I'm saying like eight a licensed to carry that. Yeah i seriously dude. So i don't see their that. Like i said i look at derek carr and i think he overachieved in two thousand sixteen or whatever it was and he's a good quarterback not a great one. Good in the sense of if if you would have put derek carr on that ravens team that joe flacco on the role. They'd win the super bowl. He's that good I think he's better than joe. Flacco was at that at that point but that team was like the perfect defense basically or one of the perfect events like a perfect storm. And that's what you need. You need like a perfect storm. Ryan tannehill under another one of those guys even though he's a little more mobile than derek carr where tennessee last year lightning in a bottle. They've got a great running game. They agreed lie..

Chris Rodriguez Jr. Named SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week

"If you saw the game on saturday night between missouri and kentucky. You saw a lot of chris broderick against junior monster game. The co offensive player of the week in the sec and he joins us now from lexington. First of all chris congratulations. I know you're team. You wanna move ahead but man what a what a performance it was fun it a good one. Let's let's go back in and that was a huge game. Everyone knew how important it was for the cats to beat missouri Take us through the week of preparation. We head coach on thursday night. And it i'd say you guys were ready to play that that would be the understatement of the year sir so throughout the we just knew that we had abba chip on our shoulders because last year you know we felt we were prepared but our energy just wasn't there so we felt like we all wanna coaches told us like. Are you going to let them out play you. Are you going to let them out. Execute you and we knew we couldn't let that happen again so we went in with the mindset that we had to go in this game of wanna ask you about that because fans like like the folks that i talked to her every day we get. We get hung up on what happened last year and and and wonder often whether it carries over but coach stage said the exact same thing i mean. How do you eighty psychological here transfer. How do you transfer that bad feeling into you does it. Does it affect the way you practice. Prepare because you're you're supposed to be dealing with the techniques of it. I mean motion is part of football. But i'm really curious how that affects you as a player so one We had a video from last year where they showed beauvoir sidelines. I think kelvin. Joseph have made a good tap on the sideline and then they were getting Hype and they showed are sidelined. Dolphins was obvious on the bench or whatever and we were just sitting. There are cheering or nothing. You know he showed us that video in it. Obviously practice a lot harder throughout the week.

"We have a a couple of people working on the marketing leasing. I even hired so. I've had a virtual assistant working on it for a while and then i hired a local person to actually help them out to During the code because before coveted we had a weightless people wanting to move in during cova. Now we had a lot of people move out and not too many people wanting to move in. For an understandable when it's congrats congregate living situation. You know you don't want to be in the same with too many people During coded so but now it's picking up We have our higher seasons around. May june july will start picking up anyways so so right now. We're were at full capacity except for the female dorm. We only have a few beds left in the female dorms but the marketing leasing. They advertise pretty much across the web We have a list. I give them or less of a priority of sites that we we use But yeah yeah. We recently updated our website stuff too. I kinda pivoted to promote market. The business more now. And i was before so despite the challenges that you've seen do you see yourself More into the same business and driving in the future. Hoy absolutely like i said. I think we're already almost recovered fully and Yeah i see. I see this business model going to be very successful. The only thing like there's other people with more funds doing it now so some kind of getting left behind in the dust. If i don't move faster as early. I should've scaled faster. I've been in los angeles on this for over ten years and I should should've scaled the business model a little bit faster and i did not I kind of sat back and enjoyed what i created out there. It was cool experience. But but now. I'm in a position where i'm ready to aggressively expand this business and try to keep up with these competitors that are taking over the market and in terms of business. Pivots are changes or evolution. What you see in the future for this Well like i said that the pivoting of like maybe possibly creating from the ground up would be awesome and Pertaining to other other people of shared interest not just artist right now. We're going to kind of capitalize on the artist's stuff because that's my passion and that's what we've already been doing But once we're a little bit more stabilized. I would love to have the opportunity to evaluate what's needed on the market. You know maybe there's a lot of Digital tech guys that need some sort of facility to collaborate in or so forth. I mean the model could even go to seniors senior housing Where they have shared common rooms so of interests and stuff. But not i mean but then you're kinda entering a world of less and stuff but it's his. It'd be different just like maybe fishermen fishermen housing for they have access to a boat in the back in all the resources to fish. You know the concept can be exploded into different concepts. So i feel it's a future housing at not just that concept but i i could envision in the future many many thousands of years from now just a huge tower of of housing. And so that's kind of like collision so maybe instead of having shared rooms in private rooms they would also have private apartments and stuff his building. This building would provide all the amenities that those people would need so in the future. You don't have to be driving around town stopped. Everything's provided to you inside your own building. So that's what i think is gonna be the future where your your housing is gonna be surrounded by everything you'll need inside the same structure. That's pretty elon. Well thank you so much for sharing your business as well as the business ideas with us. Maybe should the very best as you move forward hoping to see you. Establish in miami as well and then the other places that you're looking at we'll keep an eye out on your business as we move along. So all the best artist housing dot com in also logical housing dot com other bucks. Plus thank you. I appreciate you absolutely my pleasure..

"Everyone episode plan these success. We have kevin zuno with us. Today from los angeles is also in other places where he does something called artistic housing. That's the name of his company. Artistic housing artists husband artist housing. And what he does with that is he. Provides support several actors musicians and other artists probably one of the most affordable places out in los angeles. This is what's called a cool living moment. That's what he calls it. So let's find out all about that. So welcome kevin. Hey welcome thank you for having been yes so so. We're not begin. So i started early on. I joined the military at the age of seventeen and as a as a combat engineer For the army corps. And i got when i was twenty years old and I started a path towards architecture. So i started studying architecture at the university of colorado at boulder on where i graduated with with distinction And From there. I i accepted to harvard university Where i kind of changed my focus a little bit into more real estate verses architecture you know it'd be hiring the architects versus doing architecture on and i did that financial reasons. The a lot of architecture friends from the university of colorado were not doing as a successful as they warranted You know being architect prestigious but but not everybody gets a successful career out of on but with real estate it's very entrepreneurial on and it's how much you put in is how much you're going to get out so when i went to harvard Might might might focus of study was Housing and urbanization and i focused does the degree program that i was in. Housing and urbanization and i focused the study primarily on the real estate and development aspect of So all the way from they pretty much taught me how to locate and find a parcel of land. Like a vacant a blank. Slate if you will and then find out. The best uses to put on there whether it's commercial residential retail industrial. Maybe a mix of everything And then they taught me you know the best methods of applying how to build it from scratch and how to start generating income from and Awesome it all made perfect sense to me and all that so so i I went back to the real world and at out of school and started working for a firm in florida has a property manager to kind of build my way up to that however of oz pretty young at the time and thought it. I'm too young to be working at a desk job. So i kind of had. I've always had a passion for film music on. And i wanted to try to pursue that a little bit before i got stuck in the end the deaths job so i moved to california to our pitched a show called funny. Show can google however Yeah i didn't get picked up and Ended up falling back on what i knew which is real estate and obviously i didn't have the finances to be buying him building show i leave east and then sublease and sell just in any involvement in real estate you can make minus way by preached the people. It's like real estate makes money and any which way you're involved with it So i was just managing it and it became pretty successful as able to lease properties than immediately sublease with problem on than they had A little bit of a picture me to kind of bring together the film and music aspect of my of my Desires as well as real estate background. And i've put them together and made artist housing. So these rooms that. I was allocating for people. I started kind of focusing more for people involved in summer. Music and that way we could all collaborate with one another and work on projects together and stuff and those big success When ended up getting a huge facility in downtown los angeles and closed down all mother locations which were kind of smaller units. So now we have to to bigger facilities over there in los angeles and actually Right now in miami now workshop for some properties here to expand the business. Yeah yeah As kind of how. I felt into. Its in in a way i was. I was when i was a student at the university. Colorado studying architecture. I feel was. I was taking side courses in film and music in script writing and stuff while i was designing architecture so back then even i I had even a one of my final projects was a film and music Building for people involved with film music so it was interesting at account forgot about that until i ten years later i was going back looking at all my educational paperwork and stuff and found it. I was like wow. I can't believe i just created the exact same thing. I was like going back then with the architecture stuff. I learned a lot about space how to use space. Efficiently and functional on how to design per dynamic in an efficient functional spaces minimizing space to like designing for future. Can't be all of having a lot of space you know with the human population growing exponentially We need to be. We conserve our conservative space. Little bit for everybody. So you know. I was exploring the concepts of minimalism.

"He's like snarling at his trainers after he yams on them. And i'm like no i asked perk. Does he not yell at anybody. And he's like man. He yells at everybody. Who's not his teammate. What is it like now to not have to worry about him. Giving you the stink face or trying to jam it on you during the game like i said you know be competing against these guys for so many years and and knowing what they bring to the table. This like you know. I know he's gonna keep going and you know as a competitor. I'm gonna keep going and now being able to have a guy like that as a teammate It takes a lot of pressure on you. And i'm excited to to be to be a part of it and be a for sure. Very good george. You say you've got a list of questions here. okay. I have a couple. Yeah i got a couple for here. So de'andre to me one of the greatest andre jordan moments and listen. I think you know where i'm going here was when you did. The deed to poor brandon knight. Okay we all know what that would happen. There twitter wicked pedia murdered the poor young man at that day. They no longer was alive. You though your reaction your you kinda had that stink face like ooh did. I just do that. What was going through your mind when that happened and then you kinda even kinda give yourself a contorted face. After it was over. I honestly man you know christmas. A hell of a pass and at that point in my career. I wasn't really you know. I didn't really care who was on the. I don't care who under but at that point in time it was just like. I'm trying to deng everything and off and I bid for a second there after the doug happen i kind of blacked out because i don't even remember screaming. Remember the face that i made. I just remember looking at a teammate. Who looked at me and reaction Lamar odom at the time. Who obviously was one of the. The great lakers winning championships. He looked at me and it was kinda like like he didn't understand what happened. And i just. I did the face and it just kinda took off from there man and that was a an amazing play an amazing time about they de'andre jordan the newest laker with this year. One last one for you the outside of the basketball floor. I think the most fun thing that i recall from your career that wasn't related to the floor. Was clearly your free agency a number of years ago. You know you're laughing. Because you know what. I'm what i'm about to ask so. Mark cuban's allegedly circling around your house trying to find you. There's people lock in your house that we're playing former teammates. Paul pierce tweeden awful racket emojis that he copy and pasted from somewhere. That wasn't a real emoji. What was that i guess. What is the lasting memory of that night for you Man that was a that was a crazy twenty. Four hours bad but i I definitely definitely in one of my greatest membranes because You know how late everyone stayed at the house waiting for the contract to be signed because i guess it was kinda like To where are we don't want to leave. And you know not get the deal done so stayed at the house till you know the wee hours in the morning. Keep the deal signed and done and It was it was a great time it was. It was a very hectic time but Something that i look back on it. I would that i made it well. Listen those two moments. I just described amongst many others. Obviously on the floor for you are two of the most fun. Nba nights in my entire life. I am forty three years old. Forty four now actually have two eight myself. So thank you for all that best of luck to you this season. We'll talk to you soon. Hopefully man tj. Thank you so much of the time. We'll talk soon. Thank you guys. There is d andre jordan with this year. That was fun. I was really good..

"Mike. Piazza came up through the dodger organization. George you've made a compelling point about him being a late round draft choice and it's true there was a relationship with the family and tommy lasorda. And piazza grows up in the dodger organization and goes from a guy when you're sixty second round draft choice in baseball the likelihood of you making it to the major leagues are like one in ten million. Okay it's hard enough for a first round draft choice to make it to the major leagues but at least they have the benefit of being a first round draft choice. When i think of the prime of piazza's career i mean the real prime of it. I think of him as playing for the mets. I think of the subway series world series back in nineteen ninety nine as i recall where. Piazza is the star of the mets and jeeter is the star of the yankees and those teams going toe to toe. I think of piazza in a number of when he was facing roger clemens and and and you know he's walking down to first base and he didn't want any of that clements smoke but my point is is if you're a dodger fan and you grew up in la. You might be offended. Like laura is in think. That piazza is a dodger. If you're a mets fan you're like no kind of the prime of his career. And when the mets were really good it was piazza's team and i think he actually played a little bit longer in the major leagues with the mets needed. The one more year but he actually had better years with the dodgers. I thought you did with the mets. The other thing. We don't know for sure because sometimes what baseball teams do is. They'll pay a guy going as our guy not their guy even though you played for them and people consider you that guy. Yeah letting go with somebody. Let's go to paul huntington beach paul. what's up. Hey man they say my call. I appreciate you on driving home having a nice day. And you gotta bring up being a men. I've had sorry taste. Mind today and you know what the truth is though dude that like. When piazza was here. He was the strongest man in so cal. He and karros and nomo and modesty they were doing. They're saying and the dodgers were good not great for a lot of reasons and piazza was was an excellent player and he was. He was the heart and soul of the dodger of dodger baseball. The daughters offered him a boatload of money. The richest contract riches contractors yes. That's right and he turned it down all right. He turned down fred clear. It was a totally impotent Gm by outpoint fox was a brand new ownership group in these jerk. Offs rolled in and they thought they were gonna roll out outta town and make a statement and all they did was set the franchise back seven or eight years. Pr gets out of town and people forget you can check it out. He spoke poorly about vin. Scully there was talk about. I remember that it's something about the contract shoots back. Then you know what mike you you could be. Tommy godsend all you want. God rest his soul tommy stuff and we do love mike time here but you do not get to speak badly about van on the way out you can be on my phone lost in there but he was fired up and listen it keeping it. Because that's the way. I would feel like i i would be very anti might be still and it would still annoy me to this day. Let let's talk about it on the other. I gotta go to break. We're way up against it. Okay so real quick. We'll continue that discussion in a moment. I do have a lot of football stuff. That i want to get to in the next hour as well. Plus lebron versus barkley is fascinating..

If you said to me you got one game and you got to pick between bueller and sure zor without hesitation. I will take sherzer. The thing that steve is doing is and i understand it. It's this loyalty thing. i already know. Bueller he's been here. He's been part of the building process. He's been part of a world series team. So i understand the loyalty and love for bueller. Picking sherzer over bueller is not a knock on bueller. You understand what i'm saying. One hundred percent. I get what you're saying like but we live in this tribal world right now kaplan where it's like if you have you put any question out there of like eight verses be. It's like immediately. You go to being a hater. Laura was joking with you earlier about that like she. She doesn't mean when she says that at least now she's talking about the chargers and i am a hater true but you are self proclaimed. That's fine What i would add is this is that this is where we live in it. You know it's just very tribal versus be on team. May you suck because you're on team and it. Just i hate that world that we're in at the moment but to your point that's the case now. I will say this in this regard. I'm with john. Ireland max. Scherzer has a look first of all. Give me the guy with more experience in those situations. Top of the fact that he's been really good he's a hundred and twelve innings pitched in the postseason. That's pretty damn impressive. And again he's won the world series and he's also been a three-times cy young award winner doesn't knock on walker. Bueller both are great. But that's that's a luxury if you're the dodgers you get to pick from one of those two guys right right. If you had. Joe montana. And steve young and you said well you know what i prefer steve young. I think he should be the starter. He's more mobile. I like that. He's left handed. I mean if you came up with a whole bunch of things. It's not necessarily because you don't like joe who's already banked for super bowls for it. Just that at this moment in time. I think this player is better for this situation and again for me. I'm with dave. Roberts max scherzer has been better for the dodgers than what he was advertised. As before he became a dodger. We all knew he was really good in washington but come on everybody where we really all paying attention to washington nationals baseball. Every night. I but come on man. If you like baseball you know how good match sure horse. But my point is better than advertised. Meaning we knew he was good and we knew what his reputation was but now that we watch him pitch every day. You have different correct. Exactly thank you. You're welcome. I mean the way you interpreted what i was trying to say. I would blast on for like fifteen minutes if you didn't shorten it down to thirty seconds. Nice work at george sodano. That's what i do. I feel like i am. The kaplan whispered into just like boom. Get it very simply coming up next if you saw we talked. Ucla yesterday way. Find out why we're talking about them next. We're back in two minutes and seventeen seconds. All come on now lindsey. Don't tell me you know this song i mean. Of course. I know this song i had to ask now. Tony tony tony. You didn't know it feels good. I feel like. I need to ask these questions being like back in the time when he songs popular. I was probably like at usa skates roller skating rink skating around in like elementary school. Tony tony tony. I guess it probably just wasn't big out here just that one. It's fine it's fine. I mean this one is this one also released the same year. So that's why i'm asking. What was the last time. You're on roller skates. Everybody oh i can tell you that. The last time. I was on roller skates roller blades. Not in line. i'm talking. oh okay. that's different i. I took my kids to a roller skating rink when she was really little so probably like four years ago. If i had you still you still got still got the juice man. Decent roller skater. Like i'm not. I don't i go backwards anymore like. I don't think i'm good enough to do that. At this stage in my life but i mean i could go forward and start and stop and do all that stuff. I just need to go around the rink once or twice and then get the feel for it again and then i'm good same thing with ice skating. I took my kid ice skating ones. My oldest is getting ones. And and i felt great like honestly i was more like she was so afraid the first time out because she was so little that eventually i just said you know what i want to enjoy this for a second myself. Mom was with me. She was visiting at the time. You wanna stay with grandma for a little while that goes around the rink interest. Sure and i did my own thing for like five or ten minutes. That would be a great radio station promotion if we did like a throwback night at a roller skating rink and we'd like all eighties music nine and everybody came in look into roller skate. 'cause i haven't been on skates in a long time but as you know george. I'm probably a little too overconfident for my own. Good yes i believe. I could get on skates. And i'd be the same guy i was when i was thirteen years old. I feel like. I still got the same moves muscle memory baby. Maybe maybe i don't. I don't know i. It does take me a little bit. I need to go around a couple of times. And then i can more confident now. Speaking of overconfident. At ron and the lsu tigers definitely overconfident coming in to the rose bowl the other day and he had the whole thing that was caught on video where he said to the guy. You guys are gonna lock you upright because the issue and then this dates back to when he was at usc that's when he said he said this. Here's a direct quote. He said george. I gave that like what he says. He blue shirt off cinci boot and.

"kelvin" Discussed on Afternoons with Marcellus & Kelvin

"In mason ireland for a minute today just to kind of get a sense of what they're talking about but generally i'm in the car. I'm pounding music me. I'm gonna talk radio listener all day long. I mean i'm listening to seven ten on popping around to see what else everybody else is talking about. I don't care about anybody else's talking about seriously. So here's what i would tell you. And this is like super inside radio. And i'm curious to hear what lindsay and laura field about this to the longer i've done this. The lesson less. I actually listened to other talk. Radio shows because i don't you know again. I look into our station. Because i want again. I wanna peek in and get a glimpse of what travis travesty. We're talking about what mason ireland and talking about. I'm i'm really going to be up to listen to kishan in the morning with maxon and jay. That's at least then the car right. That's not not gonna happen very often now. If i was i was totally. Listen to them because again. My point is i want. I want to get a peek for what it is that they're listening to. But i've done it less and less captain why because i don't want someone else to cloud in my thoughts on what the hell i want to talk about. I want to come into the show and say this is what i want to talk about and i hope the audience enjoys it. Because i'm going to talk about it with you and you're going to talk about it with me in a passionate way. We're we're all going to get into this together. Yeah i was listening to Quite a bit of mason in ireland today. Oh my god. George hold on just hold on. I'm calling an official sodano and cap. Timeout you have no idea what just happened here. I don't know if watching the dodgers at this moment but pools is back in saint. Louis right comes up in the first inning. They all stand and give him an ovation right. I mean th the catcher from a home run. He hit a home run hits. I'm just watching first-inning. Oh my god. That's incredible that is amazing. What a story man. What a story the angels are paying albert pu hoses salary so that he can go in a dodger uniform back to saint louis and crank a home way to go uncle al and his seventeenth of the which i believe is eleventh in a dodger uniform. This season if i recall correctly what story man. What a story it is. it's awesome. it's all that is a great story. People are still standing. I think they want to give them a curtain goal. It looks like but yeah. Here's the deal man. Oh okay no no go back to back here for a second. He's at the warning track. Okay okay okay. So anyway what we were. Let's talk about the dodgers real quick since they are up one. Nothing and we'll keep you up to date on what's going on during the game as as cap mentioned albert pools in a bomb after a standing o. From his original fan base. The saint louis cardinals. But i think the dodgers kinda screwed up the giants thing a little bit the way they set up their rotation. They decided to set it up where they had bueller. But they could have had shir zor and buehler pitch in this series and it didn't work out that way because of the way. They handled the brave series. I heard mason ireland. Actually talking about this. With greg and greg was trying to make the case that this was the right move because the braves of the better team which look i get on paper. The braves are probably the better team. But here's what. I would say greg bergman or any dodger fan at this point and cap. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. You gotta get over this thing that the giants on paper aren't as good as some of these other teams. The giants are the best team in the national league by record. And you have to just understand that and the dodgers. I can beat them in a series. But i sure as hell don't want to see them in a one game scenario which could happen for the division or the now the fact because they screwed up the rotation and. I'm normally not a guy that criticizes dave okay like i am. You know meek app you. And i are team dave roberts. Okay but i really feel like this was a little bit of mismanagement now. Do i think in the long run. It may not be a big deal because they could still win the division yes. they've made. They've caught them. Which is i didn't expect for that to happen. However we got to get over this. The braves are the better teams. We need to know greg. That's wrong okay. The giants are clearly the better team this season. So i'm going to say this to you. George i disagree in this way when they were playing atlanta they were still as i recall two games. Be hatching san francisco giants. They were still two games behind san francisco. San francisco wound up going on a streak where they lost four out of five five out of six something like that. And they lost the first three against milwaukee in that series before they played the dodgers for me. My opinion was you stay with your rotation because instead of worrying about the three games coming up. I'm worrying about the three games that are sitting in front of me right now. Now look you can say that. They screwed up. Because they lost that series to the giants. But let me just remind you against the for the first game that they lost. They scored two runs in the second game that they lost. They scored one run and in the third game that they lost. They scored four runs but they scored two runs until the top of the ninth inning. They the offense and the bats were not what they had been prior to going to san francisco and by the way san francisco was was really i mean they they were using bullpen days for the last two games so to me i would put more of it on the offensive side of the dodgers and less on the manager and his decision for the pitching rotation. That's my opinion. Okay fair enough you know what. Let's tackle that on the other side. Get people's thoughts on it. Also i wanna get into the uc aspect of all this ucla love. That's happening locally and nationally. We'll get to some of that coming up. I've got some raiders and rams stuff that we're going to dive into in the next hour. Oh and yeah. Of course people are talking smack about lebron and the lakers so stick around. Don't go anywhere it's sodano and cap lindsay's hanging out with us now. She's the producer of the show lowered as here seven ten. Espn back in..

"The next one. So here's a really weird one for you guys. The manager of a mcdonald's franchise in. Canada has revealed the story behind grimace the purple pal of longtime mascot ronald mcdonald. And it's left a lot of people very confused. Brian bates who's worked for mcdonald's for ten years casually dropped it into an interview with cbc news over the weekend quote. He has an enormous taste. But but it taste bud. Nonetheless page told the network in an unofficial explanation adding that the character was meant to show that food tastes. Good is the fact that grimace is actually a giant taste. Bud a big deal or no deal sodano. I think it's a big deal. I never knew what the hell he was. So i mean the fact that we finally get this reveal whatever i want fifty years later. Whatever the hell. I think it's fascinating so i've always wondered Whenever he popped up somewhere. I thought maybe it was some sort of blobby. Dinosaur thing cartoon thing but a taste but kind of makes more sense. Now i'm gonna go the opposite direction. Here lindsey and say no deal. And here's why i had to look up. The definition of the word grimace an ugly twisted expression on a person's face typically expressing disgust. Pain or ryan amusement. Okay so that. If you're a taste bud. And i grimace after biting into a big mac. That doesn't sound. Like i'm making a big smiley face. I'm i hate to be like so overly cynical all the damn time. But i'm not really sure i'm buying that this guy knows what he's talking about. Because how could grimsby a character at mcdonald's for all these years and none of us have ever heard this before. He's just a big purple thing that hangs out with donald mcdonald and the hamburgers. If that's the world that you wanna live in then go for it. But i believe that. He's a giant taste. Bud and i'm super creeped out by it. I don't know man. I mean now that. I look at him looking at them here i mean he does kind of look like a taste. Bud l. e. looks exactly like a taste but yes there's like a zoom in on a taste. There's all kinds of tweets out there about the everyone else's dumbfounded by two. It looks exactly like a taste. Bud i don't know what's the more interesting story in the last couple of weeks. The taste bud grimace guy or the mcflurry machine being investigated by the federal government. What's going on in. Yeah i told you they. On purpose they stay in the news. No they do it for supply and demand. I used to work in mcdonald's so if they say it's not working you're gonna wanna come back. I am looking at a taste. Bud here up close on goldline. Yeah he looks round like taste. Dan guys shouldn't be fired. There's certain things when you work in mcdonalds you just don't talk about right. Some things have to stay in the locker room. Yeah all right. We're done here..

Los Angeles Lakers Could Fill out Roster With DeAndre Jordan

"Just give us a little on. What you think's going to happen with andre jordan was traded to the pistons. Everybody's yeah he's going to be out and that means he's going to be the next guy that the lakers will go get what do you say i think he is I think they're the most likely team to get him But there's just. I never say never with bio guys even because this is kind of been the rumor for three or four weeks at this point That this happened in brooklyn and it was just a matter of were they going to do the bio for him was he going to have to be traded. I if it say brooklyn a whole lot of money the fact that they they just save millions of dollars on their luxury tax bill by doing it this way. Also nicer de'andre like deandra got that because he was part of the kevin durant kyrie irving initial big three in in brooklyn and he was just. He's friends with all those guys. They played on team usa together and he was essential for them in signing with the nets. A little while back and it was a him signing that he gets paid twenty million a year that is not his market value. They overpaid for him. In the beginning as part of a like a sign let sign kevin durant and kyrie irving and it was you know finally worked out that way but at some point you make so much money and your they have a lot of guys at that position but they you know straight into detroit. They they They're going to do a buy out. He's going to give back a little bit of money. Detroit gets four second round out of it so they get something And also some other some other complicated salary cap things but we all thought lamarcus aldridge was going to miami. Last year on the market he ended up going to brooklyn so until he clears. Waivers and intel other teams have a chance to approach the andre. I wouldn't i wouldn't say it's likely or expected or anything like that. I would use much more. Vague words. you know. He fits with the lakers. He would fit in that role. I think would have a pretty well defined role and if you're on the buyout market and you're gonna sign for minimum like that's what you're looking for is someplace you can play.

Darren Till's Record Is One of Inconsistency

"Darren till versus kelvin. Gasol and that's a big fight of we did it today. It was an even bigger fight than it had major implications on it. I remember working for. Espn out there and dana came to the desk. This is prior to the fight. And i said to him flat out if darren till beats kelvin will be considered for the championship fight against sonya and dana said. Yes so simple as that but just to remind you of this timeframe. That would've may darren until undefeated at one eighty five even if he would have taken out a top contender in gats lem. Who just had the most razor thin fight of audits on his career there was a major revolving door. It would have opened things for till taking you back to that time from shows up to press conference and he almost fell asleep at he was so tired. So you're not gonna expect till the do very well in all fairness that's a super hard fight in a foreign land while you're exhausted at away class you have been at. Oh by the way now you get the pleasures of jetlag real thing. Till's dog going to perform well wrong. He did. But i could say the same thing about the night that till lost the welterweight championship fight to woodley. He was a favourite. The sport was getting ready to welcome in the till era. People thought he was going to run away with it and it wasn't a matter that t- would beat him if he would have beat him. I don't think i'm having this conversation. I probably would have forgotten. The fight happened. it was the way till performed. He did it till greatly underperformed. He got taken down. He's hard to take down. He got taken down. He got mauled when he was there. He got tired within the fight. It was just the performance. The lights were bright. There was a lot on. It was a massive weight cut in he underperformed point that make it. You don't know what makes this guy tick the night that till popped onto the radar. He gets thrown into a main event against cowboys. Sarony i remember. Shaab doing an entire piece on this prior to the fight and brennan was saying cowboy. Don't take this fight. There's nothing for you to gain. You're taking on an absolute unknown. All you have to do is lose esteem. even if you beat this guy you get nothing if you do anything short of steamroll him you go backwards till one the fight and he did it in the first round it did surprise everybody right you know cowboys gonna take the fight. You know that story cowboy didn't give a damn. I'm just setting the stage for you of till's career in the performances that till has had with what you thought would happen when you think everything's gonna be smooth. He's going to perform well. He doesn't when you think everything's against him he's going to go out there and laying egg he doesn't he doesn't he still inconsistent.

Paul Millsap Agrees to Deal With Brooklyn Nets

"The brooklyn nets just signed paul millsap which is actually a really good signing and up for them but now they are also the front runners to sign lamarcus aldridge. Who is coming out of retirement if you remember aldridge retired just a few games into his nets time over the last season. Is this a big deal or no deal. This is a no deal. I don't mean to be critical. But when i saw that headline run across the bottom the paul millsap. There was a reasonable reasonable amount of. He's still in the league question marks that came up for me and under this kind of hard to say so. If you're going back to guys who were literally not in the league as well lamarcus aldridge. I mean i just don't see these being impact. Pickups i mean good for them forgetting contracts but it's not. It's not moving the needle for me in the nba circle.

"Chris and before we get too big deal or no deal. We have an update on daryl henderson demarco. Hold on hold on. We don't have yup tossed though it was very solid good stuff. Hey they're all went up like the death star here but yeah thumb. Strain left thumb. Sprain to daryl henderson. So he's day to day for. That's the information i just got. So day-to-day left thumb sprain for darrow henderson. Rams running back so. I guess that's the best possible outcome when you hear about an injury to a starter day to day. That means he has a chance to get back. And it's just a a a thumb sprain it's tough Rather have my running-backs healthy going into preseason game number three going into the regular season but sometimes i get boo boos nixon pains and you have to work your way through it. But it's good that you have a quarterback matthew stafford if this were jared goff as you're starting quarterback and you lost both starters at running back then i would say cancelled christmas now with this guy you at least have a chance to increase your passing game and win games with his arm. I mean that's really why they went out and got stafford right. I mean it's hey look we're going to try and stop the run but really we're going to try and force jared goff to beat us. We don't think he can so now if if you don't think that the rams present a real running game in theory and this is look it's still weeks away before the start of the regular season with a with a sprained thumb. Henderson might be just fine. You know with proper tape job and with a little bit of rehab. I mean he might be one hundred percent by the time the season starts but right bottom line is you know. There will be automatic respect for stafford and his his resume. No no doubt and quick real quick in the room who led tampa bay in rushing. last year wasn't fornet. nope ronald jones. See what i mean and tampa won the super bowl so depending on who you have as your signal. Caller being down to your third or fourth running back is not the end of the world by the way speaking of Football i'm watching the saints. And the jaguars. It's fourteen three new orleans and jameis. Winston was on absolute coming out tonight when nine for ten hundred plus yards couple touchdowns huge quarterback rating and. Now i'm watching him hill. This little winstons team. You know it looks to me. Yep cool all right. So let's go to the game dealer deal let's see so demarco. Were start with you and we'll keep it a little bit lighter than start off. There are few things in this world food wise. I love more than cookie dough. it's delicious. I only get cookie dough ice cream delicious. Well someone from lil super named bethany gardai made a cookie dough bread a loaf of bread. That is all cookie. Dough is actually looks like bread. You know so. Is this a big deal or a massive deal. That's where do i get. Whoa why don't we have one in this room right now. You can't tell me about this and not have a cookie no low for. I love cookie dough. Yeah oh i'm in absolutely where's yours. That would be mine the whole thing. Oh that sounds so good. That's a huge deal. This funny for me. Because i have to go no deal because here's my problem. My daughters love cookie dough. They will sit here. Opened up a bucket and the two of them. My my two younger ones with a spoon will eat the cookie dough. And i ask them all the time. Like is that cookie dough supposed to go on a cookie tray and go in the oven and actually baked cookies and they're like well it could but we like it this way. I don't like it that way. I don't like to just eat plain cookie dough. I don't eat cookie dough ice cream. I like cookies to be baked and made into cookies. Not cooking up more for us. Yeah seriously high listen. I just like them baked cookie cookie dough ice cream. Oh it's the best best. Why is it tastes better at midnight because it's just delicious and you're laying down all right. Laura next fleas all right cap Many pacaya was well the how the reports said. It was crushed by your by your dentist. This weekend would saying this is the end of patios career. Be a big deal or no deal. Well i'll say it's a big deal because of how great manny pacquiao is ben for as long as he's been great but i want to say one thing you know i remember last week. We were reading this you know. Hey it's a big fight. And the pac man is is going to add another thing to his to his resume and nobody was giving this other guy a chance and you know the story line on the other guy was he was the actual belt holder was the champion and the guy who paki i was supposed to be fighting torah retina or something in his eye so this guy was willing to take the fight with less than two weeks to train for paco and so for all the hype being about paki l. And how everybody assumed pack. Yeah i would win. I thought it was awesome. That this guy actually won the fight because everything you heard was about it's just banning he's gonna win another title he's going to knock out some guy you never heard of and the guy showed up and one. I thought it was really great and to me. It is a big deal. I'm with you. I've i've heard of this guy His one loss was controversial to sean porter. So the one thing i am happy about is biogas. Winning beat manny. Oh i am so happy. It wasn't aerospace spence. Because of this manny showed up against errol spence. It would've gotten ugly. It would have been bad. Losing to yoga's is one thing manny can get up and go to work the next day and become president of the philippines. If you would've taken that what you took into the ring with errol spence. It would have been bad. Manny would still be in the hospital. He got old overnight. So i'm glad it happened against the guy that can't really punch all right laura next demarco. I'm pretty sure actually. No cap doesn't care about this stuff. But i feel like you. Sir are a big marvel comic book movie fan. I am yes okay. So we'll head of marvel studios kevin feige. Let it be known today. That deadpool who's recently acquired from fox in the merger a few years back will have a third movie drop in probably twenty twenty twenty twenty twenty three and start filming next year in the marvel universe. Is this a big deal or no deal. That's a huge deal. Deadpool is funny. I think i love deadpool's take on the whole superhero genre. It doesn't take itself so seriously. It's it's for kids but it's more adults. I i think it's great I think it's huge. I think it speaks to what ryan reynolds has done with the character. I think he's great as deadpool. I really do when you line them up and you talk about the best actors playing marvel superheroes to me. He's top three as far as guys bringing those characters to life. So i think it's a huge deal. I can't wait. I love all the deadpool stuff. So just to that. Point about ryan reynolds. He is the only character. That's coming over from fox as as the only actor. That's coming over from fox to marvel to play the same character so anybody that was in the fox. Universe is not coming well Robert downey junior can only be tony. Stark and deadpool can only be played by ryan reynolds. No one else can play that part really yes captive. Do you want to answer deal marco. It's been very well documented. I don't know any of these marvel movies. I got nothing going on. I saw iron man and captain america. And i was trying to time and the effort and the commitment to wash like twenty movies and i just never.

Tesla Fighting Back in China

"Rob our here and today. We're going to be discussing tesla in china. Tesla is pushing back on some of the brake failure reports that we've talked quite a bit about we'll talk about the most recent development there. Then what kind of continued the tour around the world. We've got some news on. Gigabyte wins news in canada and the us as well and what was it out with an update on batteries. I will take a quick look at the stock tesla today giving up the gains that it had seen earlier this week finishing down two point three percent on the day to six hundred and fifty three dollars. Thirty eight cents a few dollars below the closing price last friday. The s&p and dow were up. But the nasdaq did finish down. Do tons of a percent okay. Let's start off with that news out of china just as some back story of course over the last couple of months. We've been talking about reports of brake failures. In china tesla china has obviously pushed back on that claiming that there were no brake failures. These were just user errors. Detention around that peaked during the shanghai autoshow couple months back with a woman protesting claiming failures but other people have also made similar claims since then we have seen tesla take action so they've hired more people in communications. They've asked for and actually received some apologies from media and influencers that either reported on the stories accurately or in the case of one influence are actually just made up story for more attention. Shocker but those actions do seem to be helping as best. I can tell externally while today. We've got the latest chapter in that. Saga kelvin. young on twitter is reporting that tesla china is suing one of the owners that made claims of brake failures that owner shared details of the situation and away bow post which in translation reads quote. Hello everyone i am. The owner of wenzel tesla out of control. I received tussles indictment the day before yesterday. Now i will release the previous. Fdr tests report of wenzel automotive engineering society. I hope you kind people can help me analyze it. Thank you and quote. Etr test results there that just means event data recorder test results so basically just a third party analysis of what happened during the supposed- brake failure situation lots of replies on this thread one of the first ones reads quote. Don't you understand this result. Means that number one break his okay number two you stepped on the accelerator and quote.

"You know where we need. We need a food what we need. Whatever that was. Just blow my eardrums. That wow and now i hear you guys like robots totally hollow totally. What happened that rollo. Hold on hold on before we do anything else. Wow i don't know share hold on. I don't know if the audience heard would just happen but literally in our ear. It was like a freaking lightsaber. Went right through my head. Okay in star wars. And i'm still hearing like robotic like sounds from some of you occasionally what happened. There is again. We figured out what the issues i wasn't playing anything. My wide orbit machine back here. Apparently when it goes onto the board makes that noise. So what. It's it's very technical thing. Basically a computer that runs the commercials and things of that iraq. So there's one yours on because because we're gonna play the feud i was gonna play the x. Sound effect in the bed and the correct sound effects. Guy should have heard by yes. Oh i don't ever do that again. Because i don't have a left your right and my left ear. Also blown out hap- keeper title. He was supposed to be the big killing. You come and you take that to. I didn't even do anything. Not only did you do it. You came off the top rope. Okay and i'm still hearing myself. Roselle messed up. What are you doing down now on me i. We were testing to see if we would change stuff. It would fix it. And it doesn't mean. I love legitimately will never hear ever again again. I agree. You're right because yes thank you greg. I'm now i it's gonna be. Jsp amazing thing about this is. I didn't even do anything anything. I didn't do nothing. Nobody pressed anything me. Yes this is very important guys because yesterday when we were talking about what game show we would all want beyond it ultimately into the s. l. k. Show against the mason in ireland. Show bergman somehow put on mason in ireland. We traded morales and we brought bergman home now. A lot of the espn seven. Ten listener said they thought mason and ireland would kick s. l. ks ass in in a game of family feud and i say no chance. I say we win this thing easily. Well let's practice the stu it all right. I'm going to name some things for you. There's top seven answers are on the board. And that's going to go in order so we're gonna start with an order of the name of the show so sodano l z kaplan and then laura. Okay right so name of fruit. You might eat in morning sodano orange. Orange is correct that that is number of number five. Yeah yeah you're supposed to say i missed. I was like i was getting their georgia to get the board. l. z. Banana bananas the number one answer. Nice l. every morning. Nice like an actual banana kaplan name fruits. You might eat in the morning. okay. I'm gonna go with a grapefruit. Steve grapefruit is the number to answer on nicely. Done was terrified. You'd get this wrong five me. high five me laura. Apple apple is the number four answer on the job so we got one more. We got one more. No you have a couple more numbers three on the board top seven answers on the board. Why are we doing seven. We five over. There's three more answers that you can get way way way we do. They don't they know stops seven. Seven answers are on the board earlier in booze. You don't even know the rules. That's not true. I have seen the top five in it. Depends on the round. this is around. They have more answers. The later rounds to of the ants. Are you gonna argue with steve harvey when we get on the show. I'm not arguing. Steve armorial greg. The number three five and seven answers are still available for you. So is the name of fruit simply. Just ask name of fruit. You might eat in the morning. Okay all right so we have banana groves. let's say raspberry right. Oh one yeltsin's got two more left all right. L z mellon melons. Goumelon is on the board that has number six okay all right mason and ireland looking at try and steal here. We got one strike. I'm gonna go steve with a strawberry. Strawberry steve. Strawberry strawberry is on the board number three one two three four five and six. Only one answer left laura with two strikes left one strike wave. One shot you have to. Did you just say we had one left. You have two strikes left. You've got into one wrong. George over one wrong. You have to strikes left fracture meaning. Okay yeah no no no. I'm not saying strikes left. I'm saying you said we only had one more answer left. He said which numbers were left on three five. Three five and seven. Then you got two of them and now you only have one left wing for sending right. Laura nina fruit. You might eat in the morning. You represent your gender no question. Why are you doing that. Grapes grapes are not on the board. That's a good. What so last one sodano for the sweep the name of fruit. you might eat in the morning donna. We need you here. Man about a blueberry. Yes no that is not on the board. The final answer. Peach was the board in the morning out of one hundred one hundred responses to people said and all those people george algo we saw. We still don't want because mason and ireland would have had the chance to steal and they wouldn't have gotten peach. Yeah exactly so. That was a pretty good rehearsal. We should probably do this more. During course at a shell. Shopping art skills and grapes. I felt like it was a good answer to have a good answer. Good answer no food. Review that blueberries a very slow areas. Blueberries raspberries are the berry. Family is very big in the morning. I i would have thought the blueberries in the in the cereal or oatmeal would have gone you over the hump but Apparently there are people eating peaches. We are going to be rewarding. Never never done that. George you can have peaches anytime. i do. Get my pizzas from georgia..

"You. That's on you. You're gee just need some pages. I can see if it was worth it. I mean it was george. Do yourself a favor. Never ever ever ever ever never get divorced. Never get divorced because that will that will take its toll as over. Looks pretty happy to me. Yeah he looks fine One hundred twenty billion. I think if you're ultra-wealthy like that and you're like okay. Here's a check for two hundred and fifty million or you know in that case gold club so wasn't a platinum so now maybe time now that you're only in the goal. Yeah yeah. I don't think i i don't think marriott points Would be worth it to be honest with you. I don't wanna have to split my marriott points in yeah so so anyway Real quick. I thought today was national. Best friend's day. Oh that's nice at. I said during the meeting today. I'm like i guess that's something that's probably just not when you're like twelve and laura took offense to that very quickly right. I asked her to. Please stop laura. i'm with you. I wanted you to know this. When george said that cap national best friend day is stupid. Like a bunch of twelve year olds i was like hey i still say best friend all the time you know. I don't have a problem with national best friend day. What was the problem in all. Seriousness like that was kind of an exaggeration. But i would say at least outside of high school. that's it. i still use it still today. No way i'm promise you. I have my my best best best friend from when we were twelve. Thirteen years old my longest lasting friend. I still refer to him as my best friend. You know all the time absolutely really. I feel like what you get to a certain age like you know. They just like not. Men's is my board that person who is your best friend growing. Do your best friend. I think if you shift best friends as an adult then that stops but if the person who was your best friend growing up or around growing up is still your best friend. They don't lose the title just because you got older in fact the title becomes important. Because if i were to say to somebody hey george. L z. Let me introduce you to my bff. I want you to realize that. I'm introducing you somebody that i'm giving that title to whereas if i said hey george l z. I want you to meet my boy. You would know that he's my boy but you wouldn't know he's my bff. Soon now now. Laura has taken exception with something. You said cap i do not say. Bff yeah that that needs to stop. I mean how old are you have a long time ago like gabby f f is when i was thirteen fourteen or so. Let me get this straight. Bff is no good but best friend is i. Yes okay okay. Hey george l z. This is my best best best friend man in my best friend my life twelve years old. My whole life is my best friend on the other hand. Yo george elsey is my boy. I'm gonna different. I want to open up to the phone. And i want men women to call in and i just want like still a thing like you refer to. Someone is your best friend as a grown ass person like. I don't know i don't do that. We're here. It's your best friend growing up still your best friend today. I mean yeah. We're still great friends. I mean we don't live in the city but we don't we don't cap best friend l. I'm talking like the person that you call. That's number one. Hey i got something going on in my life and there's one person i gotta talk to about it. Is that still the same guy girl from when you were ten eleven years old and ideally i mean i say it i. I'm not saying. I didn't have to be sad but i say it all the time that my husband's my best friend. Yeah i was. Just i mean yeah if i have something going on like the first person i tell us my wife you know so that that is the thing like and it doesn't mean i don't tell other people You know what i'm saying. But but if draft does she think monogamous in this telling the story gets is always first. She's i yeah. I mean she's here. You know what i mean like. We're we're close proximity with each other. We're married you know what i mean. Like she's ninety nine point nine percent of the time she's gonna be the first person i tell. Are you her best friend. She hawaii also. Yeah she definitely has girlfriend. She has childhood. She has childhood friends. You're talking about one of those guys. Have one of those i. I have childhood friends friends that i've been friends with for thirty something years but i i don't i don't know we chat on whatsapp all the time. You know what i mean like. I don't. I don't know if i'm like specifically like we lean on each other for a lot of stuff but i don't even know i don't even call it many people anymore like honestly l z. You've got a couple of people that to this day. Are you know thirty plus year. Oh brother for life kind of rape plus years. I'm i'm in the forty plus years range with a couple of relationships Because they know the rule that it takes to get in. I i'm just. I'm just a guarded person. Naturally born she ran the keys now he mess. How get kicked out. And you're getting more keys but if you don't ever mess up the house you can stay there indefinitely right show. And that's where kyle has been caught on. i've been we've been boys since. I wanna say third grade and that's awesome when my son was getting ready to go to college at nyu. I said sure. No hesitation whatsoever. Because kyle was an administrator at nyu. And i knew. I could trust kyle to look after my boy so i i you know. That's fran all time. That's my boy. That's my dog. I have other friends who also are very very close to me. But when you when i think about that conversation in the entirety of my life like you know right listen i give you another example of you get a little older and you get lucky if you have super close friends that you really can rely on. That are long term relationships because my best friend is my best friend my whole life but if you told me i was hanging by cliff and i had to have one person reach over the cliff and hang on to me. It ain't the same guy you know is not the same guy. Different set of skills a bunch of friends from back in the day like they're all from most of my friends are actually from and But i don't consider them my best friend anymore. They're they're my brothers like they're no agreed yet. Once i agree you yes. They are family now dan. They're like they're like family. That's a great way to describe it. Yes family that. I've chosen to designate them with the best friend tag. No yeah it's like. I go over to My i guess view tag them brother or tagamet. Spring is still no. I'm just saying like you're my brother or my sister. Like i have a married couple..

Laura today laura kyle george forty plus years twelve whatsapp twelve year One hundred twenty billion nine percent two hundred and fifty million thirty plus year hawaii thirty something years twelve years old ten eleven years old first Thirteen years old third grade

"Gets to remember like we did just not win a championship. Here in la. I just don't understand where all this animosity is coming from. And to be honest it's like you know who really is is going to be. Anthony davis the guy that can't say on the court all the time like sandwich guy coming from and we've seen davis can do when he's by himself When he was with the pelicans i mean. Ac at best and you know always hurt in and couldn't get out of first round. I'm trying to figure out what angle here and you know. You're talking about one of the greatest players ever so the one thing i do understand is if you're a kobe thing you gotta understand that. There was a lot of animosity between the bron- and kobe fans and they already crowned him as the greatest before he even won championships. Pretty crazy but now he has five. And it's kinda like come on man. This guy. thirty six just came off a high ankle sprain. High ankle sprain takes most athletes three to six months to recover from. This guy. Came back in like three weeks like he is an animal. Like isn't guy serious right now. This is not even debatable. And my thing. Josh thank you for the call would be in plsy and cap. Dra member what it looked. Like around here for the lakers. Before lebron i do wasn't really bad. Historically bad wasn't pretty it was historic. Like if that's not a take that is the actual quantitative way of characterizing the previous six seasons historically bad and then he comes over and there's a glimmer before he slips and hurts his growing at the point in which we were blowing up the golden say words on their home floor and we were currently in the top four seed in the league in the west. He gets hurt. Things fall apart next season. Do some tweaks obviously a dis a huge benefit. We gave up a lot of youth. Bhagat a youthful nice. Big man wins a chip next year. The quickest turnaround in nba history the quiz turner. People keep forgetting that part. We're like going. You couldn't beat the signs. The signs did nate. The postseason man. Yep let alone stuck around all the way to a december what are we doing. what are we doing. we're sitting here and we're demanding things from lebron. I'm i'm not even bringing in the thirty six zero things that's not even relevant to me. That's not relevant to me was relevant. To me is where the night he's healthy. What has he done in his time. Here is a laker and he has basically had a start. That is very similar to the start. That magic johnson had a laker which is a championship and then a first round exit. Is that not what happened in aiding eighty-one So i'm just sort of like i'm not saying that he's going to go on and win. Four more ships as a laker. I'm not saying that he was the plant manager. I'm not saying that at all. What i'm saying is is that there are not a lot of people who arrived to a team and gives you a championship in their second year. Just not in any sport. Yeah so what what. We got was somewhat of an anomaly in a miracle. But we're discarding it because he's not koby were discarding it because he calls himself king jordan. What he did last year what he did in the bubble. That doesn't happen often. The last person to do it was him. Think there's also. And i know george. You wanna hit this break. This speaks to the expectation of the fan base. We can go deeper. But this is about the expectation of an organization's fan base. Okay let let's continue this discussion on the other side. We've got a full board of people that want to talk about this. So eight seven seven seven ten years on aboard eight seven seven seven three seven seven six. 'cause i knew we'd get to this intersection. Okay where people are going to blame. Lebron which is wild to me. But let's do it. Let's have the conversation eight seven seven seven. Spn we also gonna play. Would you rather on the other side. We're supposed to thirty but because we had to hit the ejection. Break the break real quick because of james and la said earlier we needed to have we. We need to have a conversation we needed to put pull the break and have a conversation. So we're going to be back in two and a half minutes. All right gregory. Let's start with you. Sodano tim hardaway. Junior really took a step forward. This year gary payton. Junior didn't really last in the league. Ron harper junior put his name into the nba draft. Just yesterday two of these people. To of the two of these most people wouldn't even know who they were without their name. So in your chosen field. Would you rather be a famous german or pave. Your own path rather pay my own path. It's why i didn't name know i. I didn't want to name my son. I mean i'm named after my father. But i i also i feel like i paid my you know. My whole thing is to pay my own path because like for example. I'll give you an reason. People always ask me why. I go by george right or not hood. Hey on a more regular basis. And i always say you can call me. Whatever i don't really. It doesn't make a difference to me but my dad's specifically when he came to this country was like. I want you to be george because i want people to know that you're american like you're born here like he took a sense of pride like he wanted you like like in his mind. I guess it was. You know when he was alive there was like i want. You have like don't have the issues. Perhaps an immigrant would have even though. Your name is spelled hood. Hey we want you to go by george so people can know that my mom literally just made it easy. Because she's like well. I'm just going to george just because your bull hotel so it was a lot easier unless i was gonna call you. What heat though all the time. And i know that would probably bother you after a while so we switched to george so anyway. That's a long way to go around to tell you that i would rather pay my own path. It's why i also need my son matteo and not george norte camel. Anybody else that was that was Yeah i mean. I i had to re- recalibrate for a moment. I'm a pave my own path guide to. I've seen guys who are juniors who have these great expectations. I played college ball with a guy named anthony door set junior his dad was tony dorsett man. This kid couldn't win no matter what he did. You know how. I saw dan. Marino's kids you know. Never really become the sports heroes. Are joe montana's kids. I always thought that that kind of was a an expectation that most kids could never live up to some pave my own path sorta guy with my own story but l. What about you man. I think it all depends on who the senior is before you decide. If you wanna be clear right is that really your call. per se. But if you're if you did have a call on it. Yes i mean. Isn't it though premise. You know it. Would you rather so i would rather know who their senior is greg before i hitch my wagon to next question greg go ahead. Just forget you're not going to have an answer for that or rebuttal high. L. z Bought by hanson hit number one in the uk singles chart this week so have a one hit wonder that lives forever or a band that last a little while but never has a hit song. For instance if hansen was one of the seniors are be a one one. I would much rather be in a band that lasts forever. It can also play festival evening my eighties. I would much rather be the one hit. Wonder then. just be abandoned meanders and doesn't really have any real success now. I think i'm gonna go with being that mid range band that even still to this day. Twenty five thirty years past your prime when you were still only a c..

"Wouldn't do it. It was a good move. Thank goodness she didn't do it. Yeah but it was a disaster. Let me tell you something. We've talked about a podcast. Dozy that podcast sounds like a good idea. Yeah it was talked about. Don't do reality tv. no. I'm not interested in that so but anyway what i am interested in is to ask you guys have a quick question. Now i'll ask greg this because he is. I mean. I know we'll be watching the nba finals. No matter who's in it because it's what we do for a living now. Greg you don't have to watch the nba finals. And you say you because you're you work in sports or whatever right but for the first time in fifteen years okay. The eight teams remaining. None of them have been to the finals in those fifteen years. So people are wondering is new. Good i think for the long term. I've tweeted this out recently. That i think for the league. It's probably best because at some point you have to. If you wanna to be like the nfl where you can have any super bowl granted. I know it's a one game situation versus a series. But i think that in theory you want all your teams to be successful but you just said it if the clippers are in the finals you you may watch because you have to feel you have to the sports but in general will will you care enough to watch the nba finals this year. Knowing that it's going to be some new representatives in their completely honest. no. I don't really care Most of the people. That wasn't the teams i if the lakers aren't in it if the big big teams maybe i'll watch it for the nets if the nets go in because they have the three i would kinda hate watch no. They shouldn't be winning right now. But besides that no i don't really i don't need to see these smaller teams. I don't nec- phoenix. I don't need to see utah. i don't need. Why don't you like basketball. I do basketball. But it doesn't sound like i do like it's you. I love baseball right. You know. I love baseball. Yeah watch the world series of the dodgers or not in it. I don't know. I just because i love sport doesn't mean that i have to continue to watch these other teams that i don't really care about that georgia's point is is. If you're just a sports fan. I hear you george. If you're a sports fan if it's the championship series even if you have no interest in utah and philadelphia just as sports fan. It's the championship. So watch the last game. I watched the last game. Watch like the last quarter of the last game. Just so i could see. I love seeing teams. Come out onto the onto the court and get all excited and that's a really exciting moment but besides that no. I don't really think it's that important. Let me let me let me give you an example. Okay now i because the seasons coincide right. I haven't had. I didn't have. We talked about this plenty on the show right like have a ton of time to watch the nc double ncwa men's basketball but when the tournament started i started watching and ucla. Fun and i found myself reading more on. Ucla and doing my diligent on all these other teams gonzaga to write. Like and i find myself still watching. And maybe i got to catchup. But i'll still watch. I'm not as big a baseball fan as you. But i watched the world series when it was. I don't know the texas rangers in the giants or the texas rangers in the cardinals or the tigers and the giants. Like i don't have any allegiances to any of those teams but even if his on just background noise i'm gonna watch the world series. Why would not watch that. If i'm a sports fan that that to me is something. I've never understood. Yes oh i have. I put my family through a lot where i have to watch. Basically every dodger game. I watch every every laker game. Well no i do because you know you guys. You have to get paid to deal with me. They don't have to watch every dodger game. Watch almost every time. There's a lot of games i watched. Probably a hundred and forty dodger games. And that's you have to know 'cause i like to okay that's also but also like when we on this show or most of the shows that i've been most of the time people come like. Hey greg you love the dodgers blah blah blah. Why what do you think about this. So i have to have an answer and i have to have a good answer so right. I mean you couldn't do that if you watched one hundred twenty five dodger games it just depends. I like seeing what happens. There's a lot of. there's a lot of nuance to baseball. That a lot of people don't really fully get i think they do. But i don't know about you. But i feel like you know what i what i do. You know. i can't watch every baseball game right. I will have the dodgers on at night when there's no nba playoffs or anything like that. That i need to focus on the dodgers instead of the playoffs. But but you know what i do is for baseball. The easiest deal is on. Mlb network they have. This show called quick pitch where they basically in like five minute chunks. They give you all the good stuff that happens in every game. But there's so much more no no no no no greg. I'm telling you five. Minutes is a long time if they if they cut when they cut it up. Right right office is like myself and george. L z. we're novices in comparison to someone like yourself. That's not what i'm saying. You stop that stop that much nuance you gotta watch. Every no no no. Because there's a d there's difference between watching a game and looking at a box score looking at those five minute clips because if a guy. Let's say mookie. Betts goes over five. They're not going to put anything that mukhi does in that over for five on those clips the no. But they're not gonna show the whole picture not gonna hold show. Everything that happens was go why. Mookie betts was struggling or whatever they actually go into detail on that saying he's hitting the ball hard or he just missed going out on on the on the strike to pitch and said and then he ended up just flying out on the on the on the for the third out. I mean there's a lot of different things that are baseball. I think is the easiest sport to catch up on just clips. I honestly i do think it's the easiest sport. You can't do that on football and you definitely. I think i mean basketball. If it's level. I feel like you can't do it. You can do those clips. No no football. I can watch. If you're gonna cut up. A football game is going to be up to thirty minutes. it doesn't. You can't be fine if you all the time. Between the plays the plays going. It will shorten up completely. It'll be like you'd audrain to watch a basketball game in about forty minutes. Sure well know for basketball. I actually think all you really need to do is watch fourth quarters and you can get a pretty good idea. Watching the sons in the lakers. And you can only watch the second quarter. Yeah there's that too yeah. I'm just under the belief that All of these cut down some shows they just always leave me wanting.

"To stop having a shoot nothing but the reason trying out score everyone like you know. Keep up with these three point shooting teams. That's not us when you play down deep inside of the post i appreciate you. Eight seven seven to ten. Espn if you want to hop aboard eight seven seven seven. Ten three seven seven six. We got a lot of people. Chiming in on the lakers situation on the clippers situation. Hit us up. Do you have a food nickname for your significant other. If that's the case what is it. Hit us up. We also have a survey about folks in america that you're going to want to tune in for we'll get to that in just a few moments the ground. Joe austin has tweeted and defending cap saying efficiencies fried. Then yes. he'll try the barbecue sauce. Pickles on pizza or nogo. Friday you ever you ever try yellow mustard on cheese pizza. No that's disgusting delicious. And i just was thinking that if i took yellow mustard and pickles and put it on a cheese. Pizza sounds delicious. Why not doing this cab. And i missed my stomach frugal dinner tonight. No sir starfish coffee. Who works for the southern california news. Group says that. There's always a pickle and pastrami pizza on election night. This is very popular. Although he's never tried it hits election night man. I've worked with mexican night. We're starving by the time he's always come in. We eat anything. You talking about courses popular. We're starving people will choose that that pickle in pastrami pizza at one o'clock in the afternoon when he got options. I'll tell you right now on rye with a little bit of yellow mustard. Maybe even some spicy mustard pastrami ri- pickles mustard on a pizza. No just on right okay. Vibrant large george. Yeah i'm still stuck on pastrami and pickles. I mean and we're not talking about a sandwich. We're talking about pizza like gross. I don't even understand anyhow Real quick for you. So there's a survey okay of two thousand people over. I did not know at this. Survey six percent of them believe they can beat up a bear. Now the timing of this is fascinating because as you know there's this viral video of a woman who seventeen year old girl. a girl. sorry girl seventeen years old. She got she got big. Kahane's i can tell you that right. Now yeah she saved her dogs by shoving a bear her garden wall now. This bear walks on like the wall of of her backyard and the bear also has her cubs with her so the dogs come running out. And so the bears clearly snapping at the dogs pawing at the dogs because she's also defending her cubs and the lady defends their dogs by going hands up and just pushing the damn bear off the ledge. And i'm like girl you crazy. I wouldn't know bear line crews but to me it's like yo- you gotta be a little nelson. I love dogs. I love my dog. And i saw video a couple of months ago. Dude in florida That he took a small dog out of like literally. The jaws of an alligator saw that video. That was amazing is crazy but man like maybe if i would grab a broom or something but with my bare hands. No way dude a bear. Are you out of your mind missing as obvious. She's the ride or die. Kind kinda check. They rap about saturday was for the dogs. That's all right bill mon. You die about something. where do you ride about george. I mean look. I ride or die with my friends and i remember. I was like kat. Were both given take a bullet. You a trying position your body take both them at the same time i push you out of the way like dive on you both of us. Yeah try to tackle you. How about a bear grabbed me. Yeah okay like the bare snapped at that dog. Bear named chris snap. That bear grabs me. I'm leo dicaprio right. Yeah okay. The bears got me. You got to run out and the only way to get that bear to release me is to push the bear over the wall just like this young lady did to save her dog but the work. You're doing it so the bears also on the wall right like in this video bears on the wall. Yeah i'm gonna grab like a broom or a mop or they were too late. They got no dog. Brooms mops are in your house. I do. I want to get that thing quick and then run out there pushing emergency. Cleanings that sometimes happen. Just nowhere is in the house. You know what. I'm saying like those keeping the broom and mop broom closet every time exactly. I know it's all in the laundry room. I go to the laundry. Real quick right back out and i'm using them like a weapon working mop. I where kiwi me pause you've gotta no idea. Well i also have a house with two small so we use that broom in that mob. A lot chicken parm keeps her broom. Far away man bear would already have me see. Let me tell you something real quick that if that bear grabbed my dog and took off with the dog. What am i going to do. I'm not going to chase it and go. You can at dog and eat my dog or am i going to go after it and try and save my dog. That actually saved watching the alligator. That was crazy. Chris texting and he's right. So donna would save me from the bear but then yell at me after i would absolutely what what kind of an idiot gets gets you know part at by a bear. Like what the hell's wrong with you right now after. I asked him if he was okay. Of course they're far you're good. You're good excellent bleep immoral and i'm pretty sure you do that. Yeah that girl. I got for a lot of credit. Four dogs go go flying out of the house. They're all barking at this bear. Bears protecting his or her cubs And snaps the little dog and she comes flying out pushes the bear over the wall into the neighbor's yard and.

Miami Heat Reportedly Concerned About Tyler Herro’s Personal Life

"Here's what i can tell you about what i know about tyler herro and i don't think most people here care about that but whatever since we're talking about it tyler. Hero has done this thing that pat riley likes to call the disease of me. Okay when you have a certain level of success you guys start feeling themselves a little bit. That's basically the and he's you know he coined that phrase back when he was coaching. The lakers and tyler young kid. Impressionable kid from wisconsin played at kentucky for one year. Living in miami a lot to take in and he's got an eye g-girlfriend. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing. I'm just saying that they that they liked to live a certain lifestyle. That's public right. And what happens is when you live that lifestyle public and you regress from a on court perspective. People start to look at that and wonder Does that play a part in this. Show you open yourself up for those criticisms in those situations you also jack harlow music video where he shouted you out So i think all that stuff is stuff that worries a guy like pat riley who has always seen that has seen that stuff transpire. As the coach of the lakers as the coach of the knicks as the coach and president of the miami heat. he's p- he's been involved with three of the most with three organizations where it's easy to get lost in the sauce

Dodgers' Bellinger has hairline fracture in left leg

"L. a. times the beat writer for the dodgers is reporting the dave roberts said that a recent test showed a hairline fracture in cody. Bellinger's leg and roberts says it's not a day to day thing. He said it's a fractured his left. Fibula show cody is not in the lineup. Obviously today no gavin lex today or aj pollick as well today tonight. Excuse me and this bellinger thing now that the dodgers have a lot of depth right. That guy's an mvp candidate right the last several years for the most part outside of a weird wacky season last year l. i. That is not the news you want to hear of your dodger fan.

"Now i mean you know phones laptops you know. I'm i'm that nerd in the coroner who is like you know this is why like android over. This is why like iowa number android and windows and mac. I use it all. I have zero allegiance to any particular vendor. I just the technology. So i guess i would be the evangelist for tinkering with toys from that aspect and i will on audience. Obviously this is audio only. But i'm able to see just background and yeah that'd be appropriate for him. So that's what he's got all these gadgets. Behind him and his co. super microphones yet. Well you know When you have a voice like mine you have to do everything that you possibly can to try and make it sound as good as possible in hide all the the bad stuff and yeah that is a green screen that it's not currently Hold it out at the moment. You don't just in case something were to come out for that. That's a really good question jim. Yes i'm gonna go with gadgets. So we've got naps yoga. Active travel and gadgets. I think we've got all the food groups covered. I mean what else is there. You know i liked it better when you turn the doodads well. It's a highly technical term. You probably wouldn't get it. So why don't we shift back to i. I think one of the things that is always interesting. Is you know the future. And what's coming up and you know. Speaking of doodads and gadgets right. That's part of the reason why it's so much is what is next from an im perspective. We've been hearing a lot about different things You know different types of identities whether it is decentralized identity or blockchain or password. Louis or zero trust is really taken on a big approach and a big part of the mindset for security professionals especially over the last year. So i'd like to understand from from kelvin and julia. Maybe we'll start with kelvin. Is you know what you see is being next for miami. Where does where does it go from. Here i'm gonna totally borrow this from julie who just had a great thought about i. I love the question. Where do we go from here. i think we go from here the basics right keep it simple right now in terms of doing what we do well and i am now and making sure folks understand. The basics is super about new and nexen future. What's exotic we're getting hammered now right and and we know our major breaches many of them and you know are coming through a compromise credentials coming through folks who had their identity compromised and so for me you know. What is new. Well let's do really well old. So and again freely admit. I stole that from a duly. Some upon it to my friend and leader duly to see what she has to say as well.

"Maybe it's a it also becomes you hug your identity and access management professional day because certainly know back to kelvin's point those folks need need recognition as well and you know for the i'd say we're we're focused on a turning security professionals into also identity and access management professionals as well so by raising awareness that identity has shifted from this operational thing and providing access for people to get to do their jobs to really something that needs to be core part of security because identity is the easiest thing to get access to and to you know a hacker essentially just needs valid credential in order to get into an organization and do some damage so Yeah i i completely agree about the people side and fly everybody. Tomorrow will Maybe virtually need to hug their identity and access management professional since. We're not not back office quite yet. Our listeners are the. Im practitioners of the world this days for you. We got a big pat on the back but for those of us who are in leadership roles and votes who worked for us are on the front lines and making an happening. I think what we were all doing is consuming all this great information than making it relevant for organization and enacting those processes and technology. That actually may i and possible at scale. you know. we're really doing something important. Not only for patients but for society as a whole so this data for us And it's about time but dates for julian kelvin for leading and pulling this together for us We started something our previous podcasts. That we wanna keep trying which is asca to kinda golf track a little bit a non. I am rushing for on and so this week we came up with if you were to be named evangelist of the year for something what would it be and i'll start so if we're going to have an award for jim mcdonnell evangelist of the year of something. It would be taking him today now. I know that's terrible for somebody. Who were i tried. Meditation right off meditation and everything i heard about it was so great. Then what would happen. As i go to meditation. I fall asleep. We realized actually just took a nap. I feel awesome. So i'd say start with meditation. Give it a try. But if he falsely set your alarm. xi don't miss a meeting. And i think you're gonna wake up refreshed kelvin. What's your what..

Los Angeles Dodgers' Trevor Bauer Subject of MLB Inspection for Suspicious Baseballs

"Dodgers big. Dad's we talked about. We were talking about the dodger. We're talking about the trevor bauer situation as someone was trying to pour cold water on the dodgers situation where ken rosenthal. The athletic was reporting that multiple suspicious baseball's from the dodgers starting pitcher trevor. Bauer were sent to major league baseball for inspection to which bauer went to social media to clear that. Hey not just me because if you single one person out it makes it sound like they're guilty. That is the way most people think but it is a a wide range of pitchers whose balls have been collected to see what's on the balls to inspect the balls. And the dodgers took exception to it and i get it now. Trevor responded to that today. Here's what drivers at since. It's only illegal for pitchers to have foreign substance on their person their body whatever. It's not illegal for a catcher to have it on his shin guards or his chest protector as we've seen it's not illegal for basement having on his glove or a center fielder to have it on his gloves. So far as i am aware potentially rule change. There's some language. But as far as i know the rules baseball it is legal for those players to have stuff on their gloves. So my question is if i threw a pitch and it gets thrown out and tested and then have the foreign substance on. How do they know that. It came from me and not from the catcher's glove or from the third basements glove or nfl ball. What does that happen to hit the bat. The handle of a bet where a hitter has pine tar or whatever other substance he wants which is completely legal so long as it doesn't go too far up that how are they gonna tell that that was knee and fault me for using four in substance when that could have come from any host of other places that are legal.

Phil Jackson blames Carmelo Anthony for the downfall of the Knicks

"Phil. Jackson was on a podcast with kobe. Carl carl's son. And he blamed the knicks failures during his tenure. There on carmelo anthony's lack of leadership. Is this a big deal or no deal. Well he didn't just blame it on. Carmelo anthony lack of leadership. He blamed it on everyone but himself. He blamed it on the new york media. He blamed carmelo anthony. He blamed derek fisher. Although there fisher. Does you know we love fisher on here. But he does deserve that one but he blamed on like five different people anyone but him he said. I should have coached the team but physically couldn't do it from a health perspective. I mean dog. You know what. I mean like the greatest coach of all time just because you weren't a good gm. We're not all good at everything. So i would say big deal only because he just like let it out on everybody but himself i feel like i got a glimpse into who he is as a coach to like. I always wondered if he fully appreciated how blessed he was to coach the men that he coached and to me. I'm not saying this is definitive but for me when you show an inability to take responsibilities for your thoughts right that suggest you have an ability to take too much credit for your successes correct. And so when. I am that quote i was like. I knew you didn't think that you were lucky to get jordan. Utah jazz looking to have you
