"He was talking to media at the time. Wherever you feel more comfortable, what can you do for me on that aspect because money is going to be the same so he said this free agent road trip would be a waste. He said, we're grown men. You can't oh an ami like I'm an 18 year old. What are you trying to tell a 30 year old that he doesn't already know about this world? Wow. Yeah. An entertaining person, somewhat somewhat prickly fellow, perhaps at times. But he's got yeah, he does. He's on the white sack, so he doesn't have to worry about this now. The way tux just signed the free agent, my clever drew they just lost the free agent in Abreu. They have Joe Kelly, but what do you think about Joe Kelly's free agent visitation take? I mean, I think that there is probably something to what he's saying kind of on average. I think that it is a nice thing to meet with people who you might spend a lot of time with in depending on who you are and kind of where you are in your career for a number of years, right? So I think that he's maybe underselling the value of getting to sit down and have an in person conversation really have a sense of some of the leadership of a team, both on the front office side and importantly I think on the ownership side. I think that there is enough variation among at least the sort of extreme ends of the spectrum in terms of analytical savvy or approach that it might be worth talking to someone, you know, if you're a, say, a pitcher, you know, like imagine your Joe Kelly, right? Tremendous stuff. And you had been on a team that was not known to have particularly great acumen in terms of developing, pitching. And then you go to the Dodgers, I don't know. Just imagine your joke alley on the Dodgers, who could ever imagine such a thing. And perhaps you're able to have a conversation with them about why you're a good fit that is specific and tailored in a way that you find really useful relative to other teams, like I can see there being value in that also. I'm sure that if you're going to a team that is has demonstrated skill in a particular area of player development, they're not going to give away the whole thing for free and you're meeting, right? But they're probably going to be able to talk to you about the ways in which they might improve your game or help you improve your game while you're particularly good fit for them relative to other organizations. So I don't know that that all has to happen in person. And I imagine there's variants in people in terms of how valuable they find that. But I think he's maybe underselling it a little bit, so. Yeah, if you're Aaron judge, I'd like to hear the conversation about here's how we can make you better. I'd like to hear that. That would be impressive if you had a way to bake your judge better. So yeah, it's different if you're someone who's maybe been struggling a bit and you're looking for somewhere to rehabilitate your career if you're Cody Bellinger and you've got upwards of ten teams seemingly interested in his services and a big part of that is that you're signing a one year deal and you want to go somewhere where you can rebuild your value and you might be interested in well how do they think you're going to do that or how much are they going to play you right if there's like a playing time concern with Aaron judge though he can't get any better than he was this last season and he's going to play every day. So there isn't really a role question or an improvement question and yet it's for the Aaron judge level free agent. If there is such a thing, but like the big guys, the big name, the big money, the blockbuster deal types. They're the ones who it seems like get the tour, get the personal reception. Maybe others do, and we just don't really hear about it. I don't know. But when Joe Kelly was a free agent, I don't know if he was getting the role of the red carpet and open up the ballpark and show them everything, you know, when he signed with the Dodgers or windows with the White Sox. So if I were judge on the one hand, he's never played a game against the Giants in the majors. Now he grew up in California. He was a giant fan, right? So he's familiar with the franchise and everything, but I guess he hasn't really been there or at least as a player, so maybe that would be a reason to go or if he's saying like he says in this piece or in the interview he said like well the money's gonna be the same and that's necessarily true. No, that's not necessarily true, although you don't have to go and visit in person to just get a term sheet, but if the money were the same, that would be all the more reasonable. Reason to go. Yeah. 'cause then the differentiating factors are going to be things that you pick up. Right. So I don't know how much you could actually tell. If you're Aaron judge, I guess you might want to get a feel for the manager, right? Not that the managers really going to be controlling your role, all that much because you're Aaron judge, you're just going to be playing every day, but still you have to spend time around that person. So I guess just talking to them, seeing if you have a connection, if he rubs you the wrong way for some reason, I guess that could be a factor. I don't think you could really divine all that much about the long-term trajectory of the team from these conversations, like they might tell you, yeah, we're going to invest and we're going to do this and we're going to do that and we've got all these young players come along and every organization is going to give you some positive spin. Sure. And I don't know how truthful they're going to be and I don't know how much they can actually accurately forecast what is our competitive scenario going to be like in a couple of years. I don't know that anyone really knows that because it's so much has to happen for those things to be true. So if you talk to ownership and they say, oh yeah, we're going to go no holds barred and we're going to raise the payroll to this or that. Well, I guess that's worth taking into account, but I don't know if they're probably not going to, if they're interested in signing you, Aaron judge. Presumably, they are willing to spend at least now and I don't know how much stock I would put in their guarantees of what they're going to do years down the road. So I get what he's saying because I think I've mentioned this before, but I didn't tour colleges before I went to college, like the first time I set foot on campus was for freshman orientation. I don't know if that was smart or not, but I just felt like, I guess I went to see a couple that were local in the area, but other than that, I didn't go to

Walmart Shooting: Manager Kills Six at Virginia Store

"Authorities in Chesapeake Virginia released an image Wednesday of the suspected shooter, they say gunned down 6 people inside of a Walmart where he was employed and injured several more in a deadly rampage authorities have identified the gunman as 31 year old, dumb, dumb, McDonnell DOM, Walmart previously told Fox digital that this dude was an overnight team lead and he's been employed with us since 2010. Chesapeake police responded to the Walmart on Tuesday night amid reports of an active shooter just before ten, 15 p.m. once inside officers began to evacuate the big box store, at least 50 people were inside, the building, according to police, three people, including his fool, were found dead, and an employee break room, another found dead, I need the front of the store, three other victims were taken to the hospital where they later died in total 6 people were killed and several others were wounded, employee, Breonna Taylor, said that overnight stock team of about 15 to 20 people had just gathered in a break room to go over the morning plans when shots rang out. She said, meeting was about to start and her team lead said, all right guys, we have late night ahead of us. When her manager turned around and opened fire on the staff, that's which is crazy. How many God dang? He was just shooting all throughout the room. She said, it didn't matter who he hit. He didn't say anything. He didn't look at anybody and he's specific type of way, a witness also told the news that she heard the suspect laughing at one point and that she believed that the shooting was planned.

"And then figure out what the second to last was in the third to last word was. So yeah, not great at the alphabet in general. So I might have struggled with that. Yeah, I would be bad at that, I think. Also, you know, and what are you, what are you proven, really? You know? I don't think there's any shame in having to do the little song. They teach you the little song so you can remember, right? Like the whole purpose of the little song is to be able to remember a thing that, you know, it's like I've made this comparison on the podcast before. It's like, you know, you can braid your hair as long as you're not thinking about how to do it. For even one second, 'cause once you start thinking about how you have to do the over and the, you lose, you lose your ability to do anything really, your paralyzed for the rest of the day by not knowing how the world works. So I think we should, you know, we try to give mom gentle feedback around this holiday, but she likes to do it and you know. There's something to be said for tradition. So yeah, I think as long as everybody is fine with the getting to the point in the alphabet where you're like, eh, has everybody who's here name been said, okay, we're good to go now. Right. So next week you will be attending the winter meetings. In San Diego. Sounds like a nice time. Yeah. I have attended some winter meetings in San Diego. I will not this year, but that's a good time to go. Good place to go. It's weather, et cetera you should come, Ben. You know, I mean, I know you're not coming to this one, but I think you should come. We could do a live recording of the podcast and then stress everybody out when I have to go edit something in the middle of it. Yeah. That would be fun. Yeah, it would be a bad time for you to have to do a live episode probably. But not as bad as when the branzino came and I just didn't get to eat any of it, Ben. I think about that branzino once a week. Yep. Yeah, Wikipedia, it's a lot like Thanksgiving, really, in that. And the people drink too much and act like they have no other choice. Yeah. That's why most people are there. Frankly, there are some baseball writers who really are breaking news and are actually meeting, right? But there's also a lot of just sitting around blocking about things that could have blocked about elsewhere that actually being in the room. But it's a reunion. You get to see all your buddies and you get to network whatever that means, quote unquote, network, maybe in a really concerted I am actually reporting things and developing contacts and sources kind of way or maybe just schmoozing and seeing your Friends and being able to expense that potentially, hopefully. Just having a presence. So yeah, it's been a while, I guess since we had winter meetings or normal winter meetings, so that will be nice and so probably things will be busier next week, not that winter meetings. Yeah, it's not always the way that it used to be, where again, because even the executives don't have to be there to make moves, they're just constantly texting each other and doing whatever new age ways of contacting each other that they have. You don't have to be in some smoke filled room with everyone to hammer out trades. So there's, again, winter meetings like they have a point for the minor leagues and vendors and lots of business that goes on below the radar. But in terms of major league teams making transactions, they don't necessarily have to do them there and so they don't probably quite as much as they used to. But you know, probability it will be a bit busier than it would be in a normal off season week and particularly this week, although we have at least a transaction to talk about Jose Abreu to discuss, but before we get to that, I guess I wanted to just bring up some comments that Joe Kelly made. Joe Kelly is not a free agent, but he had some thoughts on free agency and he was on a radio show in Boston, WEEI, and he was talking about the free agent recruiting process and the tour and the visit process, which is happening now with Aaron judge and could I sanga and others and probably for domestic free agents. This is a little bit different from international free agents. But Joe Kelly was talking about how he doesn't find this whole process to be necessary. He said, I think it's kind of outdated and cheesy, honestly. That kind of recruiting, that's what college kids like, big leaguers are just like, hey, is the team good? Do you have good family? Is the money the same as the offer from someone else? He went on to say there's nothing that a team is going to show Aaron judge that he hasn't seen. So ultimately, it's like, what do you do for family? What are you going to do to give me my alone time? Can I talk to less media here? Wherever you feel more comfortable. Maybe some excited to Joe Kelly's personality.

Dr. Fauci Is the Most Fraudulent Person on Planet Earth

"Doctor Fauci is the most fraudulent person on Planet Earth. He's the most fraudulent person on Planet Earth. If you ask me my opinion, I believe he should be put behind bars for the rest of his life. Why do you say that Brandon? That's very harsh. To lie to the American people, deceive the American people, people have died based on his deception for whatever reason. Vicariously, he's responsible for turmoil, death, joblessness, people committing suicide because people like Doctor Fauci can't tell you the freaking truth. Won't tell you the truth about it. They won't even be honest that it came from China. They literally fought Trump on this point. Well, we don't know. You know it came from gain of function research, but you lied, then they lied and said you're supposed to work, you shouldn't wear a mask. Because they quote unquote trying to protect first responders and let them have enough masks so they don't run out. So they tell us a lie. How many people died because of that? According to the logic of Doctor Fauci, probably many people.

Colorado Club Q Shooting Suspect Is 'Non-Binary'

"Let's get on to some news. Colorado mass shooting identifies as a non binary. Now, I don't know if this person, and if you're not familiar with the Colorado shooting in Colorado Springs, a nut job went into a gay nightclub, called club Q or something like that, and decided to shoot up people, end up killing about 5 people and injuring several other people, but now that he's being presented in front of a judge, he's now identified as non binary. I'm going to try to read again because I think these articles explain a little better than I do. I'm not going to say the person's name because he's a scumbag and I'm not going to say scumbags names. The suspect in a daily Colorado LGBTQ nightclub massacre is non binary and uses they them pronouns. Their lawyer said in a new court filing Tuesday. This is so stupid. But blank blank is non binary, the footnote states, the Denver post reported. They use they them pronouns and for the purpose of all forms filed on all formal filings, we will be addressed as mix blank. So I'm not going to say his name, but it's mixed blank. So it's MX, so not mister with MR or miss with MS or MRS. It's MX. And I don't know if this is just adding insult to injury by a person being so fanatically against homosexuality and the trans stuff that he would go so far is to kill people, knowing that one day he will be in court and then in court adding insult to injury by just adding on to the foolery by saying that he identified as a non binary.

There's Things That We Have to Be Thankful For...

"There's things that we have to be thankful for. Do not forget to count your blessings. Don't let stress in the perception of depression to make you forget all of the wonderful things that God has done in your life, all of your great accomplishments, you've got to look at the good with the bad. But be thankful. This is your opportunity to be thankful. And I just want to give some context to Thanksgiving. I know a lot of people may not understand the true history of it. People may only think that Thanksgiving is about neck bones, collard greens, chitlins, at least that's what I remember Thanksgiving to be. However, my wife refused to cook me chitlins. But I understand they smell like crap. So she don't want to cook them. But anybody out there that know how good chitlins is when you put some hot sauce on it, especially y'all people from the south, you know what I'm talking about. I'll miss those chipmunk. But let me just read this to you. And I think this is very well laid out. My producer sent it to me and I think that it was pretty good. It says, let us let all give thanks to what we are thankful for. In autumn of 1621, Plymouth colony governor William Bradford urged his brethren to observe a Thanksgiving Day observations observance, I'm sorry, for God's harvest, blessings with pilgrims and Native Americans who helped him. In 1777, after the Revolutionary War, victory over the British at the Sarah Saratoga, the second Continental Congress declared that there should be a day of Thanksgiving.

"In our race we literally had an actress from California come up here change her name pretend to be an Alaskan to try and become our U.S. senator Could you imagine she has dark money funded in everything if we had fallen for that And if it hadn't been exposed in time and read elected a fake person on actress from California funded by dark money to be our next U.S. senator that's how crazy this system is because you don't have parties actually vetting candidates to say this person is legitimate They stand for what we believe and they can run with our name and that's what's actually here worked for Murkowski's advantage She's been thrown out of the Republican Party She's not a member She's been told she can not be a member She can not use the Republican name She's been officially censured It didn't stop her She decided she's going to call herself a Republican anyway We can see from the votes the actual Democrat candidate has only 10% of the vote So where did all those Democrats go They ranked her number one Murkowski's are putative Democrat candidate but she has an R behind her name because in Alaska you can't be a U.S. senator and not be a Republican This really should have been a race between me and the Democrat candidate that Murkowski is on the ballot anyway and that's because of ranked choice election

"What the hell's going on up there We are still waiting to determine the final outcome of the election as you know the actual election was on November 8th I think we have the least amount of votes to count in the 50 states and we will take the longest to count them And a large part of that is because they implemented this ranked choice system that George Soros funded organizations are trying to push throughout the United States There are only two states that have it statewide at this point That's main and Alaska and we know what those two U.S. senators have in common And we're dealing with it for the first time up here in Alaska One of the things that we saw as an effect is one of the lowest voter turnouts that we've seen in decades And unfortunately I think that that has had a real big impact on the results So for ten days or so I was leading substantially over Murkowski and then just here recently it is flipped She has a .7% lead over me the election is not done yet They still have to run the ranked choice algorithm where the fourth and the third place candidates will drop off and depending on who they ranked as their second place in third place preferences That's ultimately going to determine who wins this race So we're still in this fight This could go to a potential recount This could go to people filing lawsuits So I'm asking your listeners for help Please help us at Kelly for AK dot com I don't know what twists and turns will come next but I will need help So Kelly for AK dot com we've also had to pay for staff costs this whole time for doing the ballot observations for weeks now and that's been pretty pricey as well So if you can help I'd appreciate it Kelly for a K dot com

Closing Arguments Are Underway in the Oath Keepers Sedition Trial

"Closing arguments are underway in the oath keepers sedition trial. And I haven't been watching the trial, but I'm keeping track of a sort of running account of it. That is it's been covered by two or three different people, including our friend Julie Kelly. And quite clearly what the government is doing and this does not surprise me at all, is giving a completely distorted picture of what was happening. Now, we have an adversary judicial system. So the prosecution is going to do this to the defense's job to counter it. But let's go through some of the claims that they're making in their closing statements because I think they're on the face of it. Exaggerated, if not, in some cases absurd. So the first one is they called for the violent overthrow of the U.S. government. Now that part I think is true because you're talking about people who are given to a hyperbolic rhetoric. Oh yeah, so we're gonna, this is, you know, we're gonna have a new American Revolution. So there is this kind of language. Granted, it by itself does not amount to any kind of conspiracy of heated rhetoric by itself amounted to sedition. You'd have to lock up half the country at some point or the other. What disturbs me more is when they say things like, here's the government. This is the Biden DoJ. They brought their weapons with them. Now the implication here is that the old keepers brought their weapons to Washington, D.C., but that is not true. They brought their weapons to Virginia and they left them in a hotel room or hotel rooms in Virginia, where it is legal to have those weapons. They were very conscious. Listen, we are not going to take our weapons where we will be an illegal possession of them in Washington, D.C.. So you can't have an insurrection in my view without weapons. If you take the weapons and you leave them in another state, what you don't have access to them, the statement they brought their weapons with them is false.

Good. Let's do that. That's not enough. What do we need to do past that? Oh my gosh, there are a wide range of things. First thing I would sit down and do is take advantage of the time we have. And do some deep thinking about this because there is a lot of stuff. Let's start with the big picture, voters. We need to be more strategic. Stop voting with your heart all the time and vote with your head, some of the time. Doesn't mean you always elect Mitt Romney, but sometime you have to decide, you know, I would like Joe blow, but maybe Joe Smith might be more likely again elected. You've got to be strategic. I think people misunderstand principles. Here's my principle. I win. I win. You lose. Yes. Yes, that is my principal. I love the people going, well, you know, Lisa Cohen, correct about the election system. Well, you have to take power to do that. And that requires Harry Potter wand. Well, and part of it, okay, if you look at Arizona, we have to accept the fact that it's as bad as they did and tried to prove to everyone that that they want to make it look as much like a stolen election as possible. In the end, the lower ballot candidates were winning big time and one as many votes as the Democrat who beat Carrie Lake. So I don't know how that's going to turn out. And I don't want to create a fight. But we need to accept the fact that our message is not getting through. Yes. And we need to look at where that message worked and didn't and figure out who the correct messenger is.

How Do We Crack the Upper Midwest? Will Chamberlain Weighs In

"Just go ahead and assume everyone agrees we need to do ballot harvesting in early voting. All right, that's a given. We have to do that. And the mechanisms for doing that to be complicated, but you have to do it. But what do we have to do because there were a lot of people who didn't agree with us. And we need issues and we need people to vote with us, not just count on the mechanisms of voting. So how do we crack the upper Midwest? Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania. So I mean, there's obviously competing theories. I'm hearing some theories out there that are like, well, the problem this time was that Trump wasn't on the ballot, so therefore we should have won those places. Well, we didn't win them in 2020 either. I am kind of not full disclosure. I don't think Trump should run again in 2024. I know he's about to announce today, but I don't think he's the right candidate. His name recognition is a 100%. There's no growth in his support possible. And we just saw what happened to Stacey Abrams and beto o'rourke, you know, two people who had lost previous elections or one or two previous elections and ran again and they performed worse than they had previously. I think I don't think Trump does not do well in a general election against any Democrat. This time around, I don't think that there's the raison d'etre for him, not to be all fancy and French, but is just not there. And there are better candidates. I mean, I've been tweeting a lot. I think we should go with a guy who won Florida by 20. That seems really straightforward to me. He seems pretty good. Maybe we should go with that guy.

Jim Hanson and Kash Patel Assess Kevin McCarthy's 'Backbone'

"Now looking at the house and Kevin McCarthy. And I think that's a fair statement you made that he understands what time it is in his caucus in the House. We've got essentially we've got, like you said, subpoenas and investigations and those kind of things. And potentially he should be open to impeaching someone like Mallorca. It's a waste of time to impeach Biden. We should leave him there. But what about the power of the purse? Has Kevin McCarthy got the backbone to shut down the government if that's what it takes? Well, I think that's the extreme measure and hopefully he does, but here's the incremental measure. We did it during Russia gate, right? When we issued subpoenas to get the DoJ and FBI to cooperate and provide us documents, they stonewalled us. They being rod Rosenstein and Chris wray, who still is head of the FBI. What do we do? We did this maneuver, which is only possible in the budgeting process of Congress. It's called fencing. And you literally put up a proverbial fence around pockets of money from the FBI DoJ because Congress has that authority. So you don't have to seize the government from operating. But the second we took their money, which we have to remind your audience is American taxpayer money. And we said, we're taking X millions and we're putting it on hold until you turn over the documents. You know what I got the next morning? Thousands of dollars. Three O twos. The corruption at that fisa court. The fisa applications themselves. The exposure of Christopher Steele and how he was a fraudulent confidential human source in the FBI knew that. So Paul Ryan only let us do this once a speaker. What I hope Kevin McCarthy lets the chairs do unilaterally without going to him begging for it is use this maneuver every single day.

Jim Hanson and Kash Patel Discuss Righting Election Wrongs for 2024

"Get down to how we're going to win in 2024 and we got somebody I'm pretty sure has some quality thoughts on that. Mister cash Patel, welcome to the show. Hey Jim, thanks so much for having me. Great to be with you. I obviously everything's crazy. Nothing works, you know, the entire Republican machine is broken and we're never going to win an election again, right? Is that what is that what I've been led to believe? That's what you've been led to believe by the mainstream media because that's what they want you to believe is us to accept an unyielding defeat, except we are the party of Ulysses grant. We accept unconditional surrender. We do not surrender. And what the rhinos want you to do is accept defeat so they can rise to power the Paul Ryan's latest Cheney's McConnell's of the world. But what we need to do is learn an absolute lesson from our setbacks on Tuesday night. And that is, look, if we couldn't win and places like Arizona, Nevada and Georgia, we can't win the house. Well, in the Senate and those places, we can't win the presidential election. But I'm not saying we can't win there. I'm saying our current operations don't allow us to win there because the Democrats are playing the mail in ballot game and the Democrats are playing better and get the independent votes early to break their way. We need to start playing in that game and under those rules because as much as we don't like those rules, they are the rules and they won't change unless we elect a Republican electorate in those states to fix it. Charlie Pierce on Gen Z's Voter Turnout in the 2022 Midterms

"Certainly, his approval rating has demonstrated by the results. Among young people is pretty high. Yeah. I have to say, that is the huge story of this midterm, isn't it? What was it? The 18 to 29. Forgiving student loans and legalizing weed would bring in Joe Biden. But it canceled out every vote over 65. I mean, that turnout among Gen Z was really extraordinary. Yeah, and I thought it was, I thought what I thought was really interesting was that people are news news outlets were counting up the votes cast on college campuses. Like I found out you found out that Gretchen Whitmer got 95% of the vote at the University of Michigan. Yeah. I think Chris, I think you're around moderate. They came out with what the count was among the Arizona state students. It was 96%. Yeah, that's true. I don't think I've ever seen that before. I don't think I've ever seen news outlets go try to get those particular numbers. Yeah, but only about 8000 out of a 50,000 student campus voted, so I don't know that. ASU that much. But still at least they voted. When they voted overwhelmingly for Mark Kelly, so every little bit helps.

Chad Connelly: Republicans Did a Poor Job Setting Expectations

"Chad, the pollsters got it all wrong. And I'm not sure that most, I'm not sure anybody had this projected the right way, because when you actually break down a lot of these races, there was no way the Republicans were ever going to win those 5 or 6 or 7 seats that they were projecting was going to happen. In reality, my question is, was there really a red wave in the first place? You know, I think that we did a really poor job of setting expectations because, you know, when you tell people you're going to win big, you kind of suppress your own vote. Now, we set some record turnouts and has some good wins, but I think you're right. It's an uphill climb. We only had to only have like ten or 12 seats to target had to defend 20 something ourselves. And that flips in 24. But I do think you're on the something that we poorly set and certainly poorly managed or expectations. I don't know if you saw this, but it took to your point when Blake masters has $9 million to run for Senate in Arizona. And Mark Kelly has $75 million. That's not a level playing Bill and it's very difficult to unseat an incumbent who outspends you almost ten to one. So

"Talking to Julie Kelly, very big deal folks. Don't miss this. When you're drifting comes the time when you settle down comes the light hey folks, I've got to tell you a secret about relief factor that the father son owners Pete and Seth. Taubman have never made a big deal about, but I think it is a big deal. I really do. They sell the three week quick start pack for just 1995 to anyone struggling from pain like neck shoulder back, hip or knee pain, 1995, about a dollar a day. But what they haven't broadcasted much is that every time they sell a three week quick start, they lose money. In fact, they don't even break even until about four to 5 months after if you keep ordering it. Friends, that's huge. People don't keep ordering relief factor month after month if it doesn't work. So yes, Pete and Seth are literally on a mission to help as many people as possible deal with their pain. They really do put their money where their mouths are. So if you're in pain from exercise or even just getting older or the three week quick start from 1995, let's see if we can get you out of pain too, but relief factor dot com relief factor dot com or call 805 108 three 8 four 805 108 three 8 four relief factor dot com. I use it, it works. Again folks welcome back. Remember I told you we had an exciting guest? Well, promises made. Promises kept. That's originally with me by the way in case you want to know where that came from promises made promises kept that's air from Texas. Julie Kelly is my guest. Julie, I want to talk to you for a long time. Welcome to the program. Hey Eric, thank you so much for having me on. Great to connect finally. The work you're doing, unfortunately, is extremely important. And so you've written a book titled January 6th that gets into what happened on January 6th a year ago. The subtitle is how Democrats use the capitol protest to launch a war on terror against the political right. It's a horrifying thing to say, but it's infinitely more horrible because it's true. And there are many Americans that can't possibly believe this. They'd rather go along with the reigning narrative that some bad people try to take over the government, whatever. And unfortunately, folks like you and me, but you in particular, we have to stand against this with the facts. And so before we get into the book, which has been praised by all kinds of people that I respect hugely, not least, our friend John rack. I want to ask you, who are you and how did you come to writing a book like this because I do think it's important for folks to know how we have journalists like you doing great work like this that's so important. So what is your background? So I have to ask myself what I did to deserve this to be one of a couple of journalists who are digging into the details and behind the scenes of what happened on January 6th. But I've been a political writer at American greatness and greatness dot com for the last few years, writing about politics. I focus mainly on Russia gate, and then, of course, lockdown policies, the COVID pandemic, and then election fraud in the 2020 election. And so that's sort of led me up to January 6th. But my past writing can be found at national review in the federalist at guest columns in Wall Street Journal and other publications. But I write now exclusively for.

There's always people either asking the same questions or wanting more info. So i figured i would just pick a couple of those and go into some more in depth answers on the podcast here. I actually haven't seen these questions. I had my assistant kind of go through them and pick out the ones that we got most repeatedly Or that. I've gotten a lot in the past or that. She just thought were interesting. That you guys would go through someone. Answer my top. I don't know ten to fifteen questions. We'll see how long the answers take and see where we go. Okay so to start this. This first question. Says i want to see how you walk. If you guys don't know what this is referencing. I get this question a lot or this comment. Allot i get it on my instagram pictures. But i did a podcast with my boyfriend. Who really does not enjoy. The public is so he isn't very involved on my instagram. Or the podcast. Mention him But we don't really have like a public relationship which is a little bit odd for a person who shares their life so publicly. But i do respect him for that and i try to respect his privacy as well as his daughter's privacy and so they're mentioned briefly but i don't go into too many details however he did do one podcast with me. He came on the velvets edge podcast. And it's called the international man of mystery as a joke. Obviously because nobody knows who he is but he talked a lot about when we first met and someone asked the question. What was the first thing you notice about. Kelly and he talked about it a couple of times in the podcast but he referenced. My walk now. I have no clue what this means really. I'm just walking. I'm just living my life. I don't even know how do are like what's so special about it or anything. That caught his attention about it. But apparently. I have some sort of strut that i do. So maybe i'll make a video. Maybe this is good tick-tock material. I don't know you guys know. I don't really understand talkie there but he did mentioned. Not if you haven't listened to that podcast. It was a big hit because people love hearing from him and he has a really sexy voice. If i'm being really honest it's like a little bit raspy. I don't know he's just real cute says search that podcast. It's called the international man of mystery and it is. I mean okay. This next question says how do i. Oh i'm sorry. I'm dating a single dad. His sixteen year old daughter is not having it any advice. Well this kind of goes hand in hand with talking about my boyfriend. He has two daughters They are nine and seven so they're a little bit on the younger side. And i'm sure when you get involved with a person who has a teenager. It might bring a few different issues than i've had to face. But i do understand his transition and in my experience i was the first one to date my guy after a divorce. And so you know. There's a lot to navigate there and it was difficult for all parties on some level. I think but we did. We were able to kind of navigate through that in a team. Like manner which i think is super super important if you can do it And it's just the right thing to do for the kids because they have a lot of emotions going on. They don't want their parents to be dating other people. They want their parents to be together. And i had to accept that and not take it personally but you know that was some of the battle that we went through at the beginning was just sort of. Why do you have to have a girlfriend. Which i get and i know that with my thinking about my parents doing that just really hard to think about. So i do think it's really important to respect the kid's feelings and try as hard as you can not to take things personal because it isn't personal. It isn't about you. it isn't about what you do or don't bring to the table. It's just them navigating through their emotions and their kids so on this case teenagers. So let's not even get started on the hormonal aspects of all those things happening but Do i was told very early on. And then i read this in a lot of blogs about this this kind of stuff Transitioning into dating someone with kids but that consistency is the most important thing that you could do so for me. It was small things that i like. I'm gonna wake up every morning when the girls wake up. And i'm gonna help them do their hair because that's a skill set that i have and it was a good way for us to bond and then it became this small thing that i do not you know. It's not like life. Changing their dad could help them put in a ponytail if he needed to And their moms created here to get it on the other side but the best part for me was that that became something that they could count on every day and so it was just our routine and once we started developing small things like that like little routines or they knew i was going to be the one to do it are they knew to come to me for certain things it really did. Start to create this bond between us. That is now very very strong and a really have noticed. I've started traveling again with work. And when i'm having to miss them a lot because of the scheduling or i don't get my qualities. How am i can't show up in the ways that i do. It takes a minute for us to kind.

"Has a party plus one grade yeah fine but can you start with the smoothie because sometimes it's just overwhelming for people to start something new and it's way better if something becomes a habit let an action to become a habit because i wanted to have it. You don't think about it. Yeah it's not. It's not taking mental effort and energy. I like to think about like steve. Jobs word turtlenecks. You know that was his uniform if you can make something like a food choice a habit. Yeah it's really good but food is emotional. And you need to have flexibility with food if you get taken out on a date night. You don't wanna feel food anxiety and stress drama. Just have a small salad. I there's there's a lot of people. And i'm a human and eve especially after having the baby i wanted to really be aware of everything i a and then i found myself like depriving myself like hanging out with girlfriends. That girls night and saying like. I can't have that because if i eat it just going to throw me off. I just need to be really disciplined by. It's not about like feeling bad or having anxiety when you eat and i think a lot of people nowadays they see certain image on social media and how people look maybe their favorite celebrities who are in like the most amazing shape and then they put themselves down there like. I have to punish myself and i can't eat this. You know. say two girls like that. Yeah no I'm yeah i'm actually. And i see this all the time. What i will say is say. For example of bloggers. We're getting together for an event. That was a brunch put on by a brand and you're walking into a bunch of carbohydrates and sugar and sugar smoothies and toast or whatever but needed to go to that event and you went and then you maybe had some things that you didn't feel great about when you left the inclination for you to deprive. Is there what i would say is instead of depriving and thinking you'll restart tomorrow. How can you restart right now and not restart by depriving but say you know one of the. The smoothie is also a tip that can be used for lunch or in the middle of the afternoon when you're craving brownie or cookie Because the thing is is it's a physical restart just like a workout is a physical restart. Drinking smoothies physical restart. Your restart can happen at your next meal and so many times. I see people start tomorrow morning on monday. The first of the month the first of the year. And they're putting this off and what's happening between when they decide to put it off and the actual start time of the restart way. More damage is happening. And it's all spiraling out of guilt so instead of allowing yourself to feel guilty. Say what. What have i decided as physical restart for me. Maybe it's twenty minutes meditation meditation app. Maybe it's taking tiny for a walk around your neighborhood and doing some lunches behind her stroller and going like i made an opposite small opposite swing from feeling guilty about that little brunch. And then that way you're not really allowing that pendulum ball to go to a binge space. What what. I love about everything that you just said. Is that it completely ties into your brand and what you're all about and it's not just you know i love that. You're you're you're instagram name. Be well by. Kelly and your book is called body love. Because it's it's not this. It's not beef it by kelly. It's not get ripped kelly. I like big belly when i love you. Just you're promoting Wellness and like you said just even taking time to to meditate for twenty minutes or It's promoting a healthy lifestyle. That's not just what you're eating. It's also coming from within. You know. that's what i think about. When i think of the word wellness i think a whole being. You know embody love. i mean. that's that's the thing that that a lot of people struggle struggle with whether You know your guy or a girl. There's there's comparison out there all time. We're thinking about what we're always doing wrong instead of what we're doing right but what i love is that you have made this program. That's so balanced and that you yourself are living that out and you're living proof that that it works and i think it's just it's really encouraging for anyone who feels like they're very far away from their goals you know. Maybe you have packed on a lot of weight and you don't know what to do or where to go. I love that your brand and what you're about in your book are about encouraging people in steps like you said if you can make a small step back if you can just gain a little bit of ground by doing something every day something small. I feel like that's what everybody's looking for. Whether we're you know seven to weeks from our goals or were two years a lot of people just get discouraged. And they're like what do i do now and i. I love that it's about treating yourself right. It's about walking this thing out in a practical way and i think that you're just gonna continue to thrive. It's so so awesome. And i love. If you guys haven't read kelly's book it's called body love you gotta get to check it out is changing people's lives kelly's changed our lives. Might my mom like she's obsessed with you. She is literally my mom. Thank me for saying her age. I think she's fifty four. She looks thirty five. She works out all the time and she eats very healthy pretty balanced and she was struggling and she goes. Oh my god she call she steve. I lost five pounds. I said wow what will would you do differently. Because she's so strict she goes. I started doing the bureau by kelly and it just it just motivators age in any woman guy of any age can do this program and it's just. It's incredible because it works. Kelly something we always ask our guests is. What's good in your life right now. Whether that's any exciting things you have coming up. Obviously a baby on the way In exciting projects or anything like that that you can sort of tease or share. Sure so it's been a pretty big year. I am pregnant. I'm due october for it. So little libra baby two days after my birthday. I know i'm actually fingers crossed for ten to so so that's really exciting. We don't know what we're having. So that's even more exciting you for waiting. Yeah and second I'll take maternity leave and hang with the little peanut and then january on my second book comes out. It's called body love every day and so what it does is breaks down the fab four different lifestyles on the go. So say on an airplane all the time. And you're like how do i take a protein bars an airport. Or how should they pack my bag. Or what do i need How should i attack my bachelor weekend..

"Leveque kelly so awesome. Have you thanks for being here. Guys is such a pleasure to be here. I mean we've been friends since the beginning of beulah by kelly. So i know it's been a while since we've seen you. I feel like the last time i saw you as that. Your oh my god. it's crazy. It was her book release party. It was like a launch party. And i was probably seven months pregnant. The tummy teeny was in the tummy. And i remember. I looked at you and i was like winter. You're going to be pregnant. And she was literally like well. We're trying so we'll see what happens and look you're pregnant now and you're glowing. I mean she's going naturally but her glow is on another level. I want to ask you just want to start off by asking you. How has it been being in your field doing what you do being pregnant you know with all like like okay when sascha pregnant the first six weeks under a bus ie am because she was on the most strict like diet you know she was fab four. She was working out hardcore when she found that she was bragging. She goes she goes. I can't work out anymore steve. Get me a coke. Get me some pickles. And go to in and out. And i'm just like oh god switch here. How crazy is that though it is it is weird like the cravings that pop up or you know the changes in the way that you feel if you feel tired or nauseous. I definitely found myself walking into rooms being like why am i here and so it becomes a little bit difficult to prioritize the things like wellness in your life but i feel like i've lived it for so long that even a slight departure wasn't i wasn't off the reservation. You know i wasn't driving through mcdonald's times when you know i don't eat a bunch of dairy. I think that there's flexibility around area like goats sheeps cheeses and stuff. But i grew up cottage cheese and every single time. Chris went to the grocery store i was like. Can you gotta gee guilty yashar you going like spoon into cottage bowl. Yeah like salt-and-pepper from the fridge all just love hearing that from you kelly. Because you really. Are this obviously incredible. Celebrity health coach to so many stars and so many people like us. But it's so humbling to hear that you're a normal person and you have moments where you cave and that kind of brings us to the conversation of how you got started in this health and wellness world. You said it's a huge part of just who you are and your lifestyle so kinda. Give us the back story on how. This all started before buell by kelly. Sure i would say my favorite class in high school was health with coach rap. He's a volleyball coach but he taught health at my high school. And i loved it. I felt really inspired. I wanted to learn the content. It was the first time. I really felt that way. And i'd always been A math and science brain over english and grammar and all that so it felt comfortable for me and then when i went to usc for undergrad. My dad was a business major there and so i just sort of followed in his footsteps oldest of three girls he was a trojan. We had twenty seven relatives. That were trojans like i didn't think about going to a different college or doing a different major and then my senior year took all of my biochem nature of human health and disease called my dad and tears sick. I should have been premed. His horrible. I wanna stay another year. I want to change my major. And he's like well. That's fine if you wanna pay your college tuition. You're more than welcome to stay. So i actually ended up doubling up on classes. We made an agreement. I doubled up on classes. I gotta concentrate concentration in human nature of human health and disease and so then. I spent an eight year career in cancer and genetics out of college. So i know that about you. Yeah that's crazy. Yeah no. I paired my business degree with with new technology so i was teaching oncologists and the cancer space from cedar sinai to all the eight west coast states here on the united states. I had a team of eight reps and was working with them and we basically took new genetic technology and we represent the science to on college and teach them how to use it in their practice. Are you kidding me right now. Dr dr kelly. No no always just been the support. Let's get that straight for. The dogs support. Says this is worth the blogger support. The i was going to capture. Drought kelly phd. Yeah maybe i mean. I love school. If it's something. I wanna learn about you know a window sort of turning point happened for you when you realize you wanted to be support coach and start. Be well by kelly. Well what's so interesting is in my career. All i did was read research scientific research in regards to cancer genetics and biology and so i was able to kind of go into public medical research and look at nutrition studies so instead of reading. Someone's blog about a tip in a trick. I would see you know a usa today. Article come out or new york times article come out and it would reference a study and then i would just go read the study because a lot of times people will take a headline and make it..

"You're inside in feeding yourself with the good things and that's where our good friend. Kelly really has come into our lives and played a huge role because i think it was when we met kelly when we finally had a healthier mindset like she has a way of explaining things. That's like crazy weird. We figured out how to how to find balance. And i think that's the most important thing in a lot of the times. It just starts with practicality. The practicality of eating balanced meals led to a more. I feel like a balanced state internally for us you know We weren't starting to feel bad about you know. I wasn't feeling bad about. If i wanted to eat a little. Something here there. I just felt more balanced and at ease and i. I really wanted to talk about that today. Because i don't want this episode to be confused with like i said being ripped or you know or or being the healthiest you all of that in eating you know just like boring meals in that kind of stuff i. I wanted to talk about that. Because i feel like wellness and health overall starts within you know and then you make those choices after that and i feel like you have to love yourself before you can do. I love the. I love the scripture. In psalms one thirty nine that says i have fearfully and wonderfully made. That is something if you feel like crap about yourself whether it's internally whatever i suggest you write that on a post it note and just stick it all over your house and your car and just when you see that to remind yourself you know we all come from different walks of life all different. Our bodies all different. Nobody looks the exact same. Even identical twins don't have the same body types and i think it's important to know that health plays a big part of living a good well balanced life but we all experienced seasons of poor health and seasons of good health. And there's obstacles that you have to overcome your journey. And i think the thing that drives us to those unhealthy places. Mentally says is is if i had to boil it down. What drove me to be insecure. When i moved out here was comparison. There's always gonna be somebody better looking than you smarter. Gear the most good-looking person out here and we pause personas repeat. Repeat that for a few minutes. Oh that's sweet. No but there's always going to be so am better looking than you. somebody smarter. Somebody's always going to have more in some category than you and so it's not about being perfect. It's about being your best. You and i love the quote from theodore roosevelt. That says comparison is the thief of joy. That's good and now with access to social media like that we that we have on. Everyone's i phone any time of the day. You can start comparing yourself to an instagram model. An actor your friend when you start comparing yourself to whoever maybe the life that they're living and that's not gonna do anything for you. That's actually going to eat away at your soul. And so i just wanna encourage you guys. If you are comparing yourself whether it's in your body you're in another way to be feeding your soul whether feeding yourself. Good food to feel healthy you should be feeding your soul taking time out to appreciate yourself and i feel like it starts with gratitude. Zig ziglar said you know An attitude gratitude starts with your attitude and vice versa. I feel like being grateful for just even yourself your body your mind who you are. The way you were made likes asset in psalm says your what is a wonderfully fearfully made and that's just so important to remember guys says i have to remind ourselves daily because you can compare yourself. We have our own struggles you know. I said everyone who comes has different body types. From me i always grew up naturally. Thin sometimes too thin and i was eating and i didn't know why wouldn't gain weight and for st. He's had this knee injury. Which we've shared with you know our online family publicly over the past year just talking a little bit about that and it's really been challenging for us at times to find our own personal routine that works but today we are going to help you guys if you're out there and you're like you know what i wanna to do it the right way but where do i start are starting point was when we met kelly so we thought it would be great to have her on the show and to help us break these stereotypes about being healthy and that healthy means you have to look a certain way. Because it's not about that it ain't about the six pack it ain't about the perfect hips and the curves and all it's not about that it's this internal health. Are you going to tell to the governator. What in the world was. That was a really bad attempt to do arnold schwarzenegger you guys second. You made it sound like that. Was kelly like they're like whoa. Is kelly a dude justice guy who likes to work please god. That's so good. It's so good it's so bad. I can't all right you guys but first serious kelly bestselling author. She has written a book called body love. It's an inspiring book on how to live a balanced life. Way which you want and free yourself from food drama forever. She's a dear friend. "Maybe you're at work and you should be working but you're listening to us and said working time because it burns calories yes whatever you are doing right now in the comfort of your own home whatever it is we welcome you to another episode of the good life with stevens stuck it out through that freestyle and stick it out through every freecell every week. I just wanna say thank you and commend you for not giving up on your boy steve. Because as we all know. I was home schooled before we actually get into our episode for reals. I want to address something with you last night. Okay when i got in bed and year-old over and said can you can't get night. Oh god what are you about to say. Well i was going in for the smooch. And why i was bombed by the smell of sulfur. What hard boiled eggs had been sitting on the counter. Such a hater. He how deng he's not referring to me farting in bed by the way. Okay he's referring to me enjoying a little face mask and you're hater was okay. Here's the thing if a face mask smells like that. Why are you putting it on your face because sulfur is really good to dry out. Acne and i've been having lately. But i had a little bit of pips popping up on my face so i had to do the things math. This was after. I rinse it off by the way so he was really trying to get up close and personal. I didn't ask you to sniff my face and you're like why don't you wanna kiss me. That's like putting cow poop on your face. And i love me is not going to happen. It wasn't cow poop. But i will say sometimes the things that smell the worst are actually because they're organic and they're good for you and they're healthy. I'm not gonna the brand on blast but this facemask. I swear by. It doesn't smell good. That's good for you working out so next time. I come in the crib with a sweaty nasty shirt on. And i'm like give me a hug. You better arms up okay. Fine whatever you know that's actually really good segue into today's topic of our show today date. It's all about living in good health whether it's a good face fast or paying attention to what you're putting in your body that's kind of what today show is that's kind of what today show is about. That's what i meant. And we've got wellness tips from our good friend. Who's a celebrity health holistic. Kelly leveque ac- know is the frigging bomb. You guys you're gonna love this interview with kelly. She has such a wealth of knowledge. Your life end my life. She's changing everyone's lives. We're all changed. The best thing is is that it's real in it's applicable so if you think that this episode isn't for you just stick around listen to a kelly has to say i mean she's really changed the way i operate on a day-to-day basis. It's not a diet is a lifestyle you know it's true. I think if we kind of just briefly touch on who stevie. And i were before before we met kelly man. If only you guys was the queen. No no i said. Why don't you tell them about you. Tell them about you. I'll tell them about okay. The queen of the late night burger. Run this chick was popping up in and out between eleven. Thirty and midnight every freak. I'm talking about five days out of the and this was the only meal of the day it's like she would forget to eat. I was like what. Did you remember how i was like. It's eleven thirty year. Impersonations of me drive me insane. I do not sound like boy off me out star in that movie. Is anybody know that reference chris farley come on guys look it up. Layoff me again heavyweight. Snl skit with like antler guys. That's that's a deep track but Saz was like crazy imbalanced diet and then and then let me. Let me say this. I was kind of the other way. I moved to l. a. An actor and my first managers like bro on you'd be rip dog and i was like well amid pretty good shape up talking about six pack. Big shoulders bro. So do these crazy fast and stuff and he would just do these drastic changes in his diet and then on the other side of the spectrum where i would eat fast food three times a day and i didn't think it was a bad thing because i've always been naturally thin but boy little. Did i know that there was just all kinds of jenkins happening inside of me and i travel south lots. I'm going to take us opportunity to troll myself guys that it's all equal here the good life your boy. Do you remember. Says when i went and met with my manager. And he's like. Is you get shredded up. So i was doing these diets and i went and got this. Pre-workout called c. four. Which i don't take pre-workout in harm none of those guys i took this pre-workout called c. Four okay and it has created in it and somebody warned me they like. Make sure you drink a lot of water. 'cause that create team and i was frigging a camel. I was lapping up water. Every every chance. I got but because of this i got hemorrhoids and his. But you see we told you we're going to be honest with you and that's the only place you can get. You're in so much pain. I felt so bad so anyways. We're not living a well balanced life. It was either being like super crazy. Like i'm gonna be healthy but actually not being trying to find shortcuts. So for me when i finally decided. Okay i wanna be a little bit healthier. I need to quit eating bad. I was like well. What's the quickest way. I can figure out how to be healthy and i feel like though shortcuts for me included like looking into those crazy like body sculpting techniques that they have nowadays where you can literally transfers that and i remember thinking like wait. Is that like a shortcut. Like is that really a thing. I actually considered for literally one minute. And then you're like. Are you crazy. And i was like yeah. I am crazy and then. There's those documentaries out there now on netflix and stuff which even to this day i watch one of those things and it puts me check like whoa do. I not need to be eating that. And then i sometimes drastically needed to change it. I think that a lot of people don't know that about us is that we both went through. We've both been through episodes and times where we really lost. Sight of what was actually healthy. And what was actually good for us. And what would give us the sense of wellness. Because i think it started from within you know not just what we were eating but i thought i think it started with our mentality moving to la you especially in the industry. If you're acting you're in your singer you're just in front of people. Basically you're constantly comparing yourself i. I didn't feel so insecure about myself. Until i moved to la. I never really questioned anything about myself. I was just felt. Like i was just a normal dude and when i moved to la and started acting You know i started comparing myself with all these guys at the auditions like man. This this guy is ripped like my manager said like what. If i don't get the part and i started thinking that there was there was something wrong with me and i. I think that's what you know. The issue was is that. I didn't have a strong sense of of myself and appreciating and loving. Just me as i as i was. You're sharing that you know from a male perspective. I feel like a lot of guys. Wouldn't say that out loud. Because i feel like with women with me specifically i've experienced the whole insecurity something about la That makes you feel like all of your securities and flaws are under a microscope and this is a city where everyone's very aware on the outside of what you look like. What kind of car you drive you know or your nails did like and i love that. Today's episode is not around this topic of how to look fit how to look completely ripped in your life. It's.

I went to Florida and where it was very hot, but actually not as hot as it is here and the cool ocean breeze. Very nice. Very nice. Indeed. I went by Mara Lago. It's empty, although guess what The great big, gigantic American flag is still flying in front of that place. They are hassling President Trump. They are trying to cancel him. He is a Nkansah level. It's not going to work and this phony baloney case against his CFO. Um, Westerberg. That's not going to work. Either. Everybody knows this should be a civil matter at best or at worst. This is not a criminal matter. I heard the fake news yesterday, saying, this is a 15 year criminal conspiracy. Give me a break. This is not a crime. It's not a crime. It's possibly a violation. The tip off for me was that thing about paying not paying city taxes as he was alleged to have not done, but he was paying Nassau County taxes. All the way through 2013. They said he didn't pay city taxes all the way through 23. He had a house in Wantagh, Long Island paying taxes there. That's what it's about. Um, it is Ridiculous And they spent all this time all this money. Why? Why are they doing that? Where the city is falling apart? I had a trip over somebody on the way in here. The sum You know you feel bad for these people, but at the same time you're like annoyed and a little bit scared. You know what's this derelict doing? Laying down at 12 30 in the afternoon on the street? Right. I told you about the guy I saw shooting up. Hey, Did you hear Chicago? 100? People were shot over the weekend. All the way. 100. People were shot over the weekend. I mean, 18 people killed in Chicago. Uh, this is what I believe The left wants. You know, there are people very smart people have been looking at this. The whole defund the police movement. They've gotten the agenda they want to nationalize, nationalized police, a national police force. Now That's something to be scared of. I wouldn't have said that a couple of years ago. That sounds okay to me. Nope. Not after what the FBI is. Let itself become A arm of the deep state Left wing cabal, Deep State Federal Bureau of Incompetence. Federal bureaucrats incorporated what everyone to call them. Yep, There are some great FBI agents, of course. But the place is now corrupted by her horrific leadership. You go to the Twitter page of the FBI. What is their priority? Alright, back to Alexander the great it Fill up the second. Alexander's father points to Aristotle and says I want you to tutor and mentor, my boy. Well as I pointed out before Philip, the second had raised Aristotle's town to the ground and enslaved all of his people. Aristotle to his credit. Stands up to fill up the second and says, Okay, Yeah, I'll be happy to tutor your boy. I want you to rebuild the town you destroyed of mine and all the people who you haven't murdered yet in slavery because some had some had passed away. Other people you haven't murdered yet. Free them and let them come back and fill up the second does it? That's Alexander The Great's tutor. I did. I did mention the Spartans earlier. I should point this out. Philip the second Conquers all of Greece unifies all of Greece. Remember these are all different city states and very, very powerful city states, But Philip, the second essentially makes them Greece. Except for Sparta. He wants a unified Greece. Philip, the second does because he wants to go to war with the Persians will get to them in a moment. Sparta hasn't joined And so Philip, the second after dominating everybody and Sparta, by now is way past their prime. I want to make sure I'm clear about that. There's still obviously as you're about to find out tough as nails. You're certainly not just gonna waltz in there and push him around. But Philip, the second could have taken Sparta by now. He writes them some threatening letter the ultimate You know, the old ancient conqueror threatening letter. Come bend the knee or I'm gonna raise all your cities to the ground enslave all your women all that stuff. You know the standard conqueror talk from back in the day. His letter when he wrote them started out with if if you don't submit to me, I'm gonna go over the razor cities, things like that. In the most spartan move of all Spartan moves. They write him a lettered response back. Do you know what it said? If That's all it said. Oh, what a gigantic screw you to fill up the second Anyway, he didn't go. Didn't he didn't follow up on the threat. He's like, you know, I actually think I'm going to leave them alone for now. All right. Philip gets assassinated. Alexander take takes over as king at 20. And I realized people, uh People are mature. Faster than others. It's just some people never mature. Don't look at me, Chris. Some people never mature. I couldn't imagine having a gigantic kingdom handed to me at 20 years old. I promise you one thing. I would not still be alive. Alexander the great gets handed a unified Greece at the age of 20. But The world is a funny place. And I want you to understand this because the world has not changed. It is the same today is it always has been People respect strength. And when people smell weakness, or think there might be weakness. When people smell weakness. Pounds. They're going to test it. They're going to probe They're going to see what they can get away with and what they can't get away with. You have this? You have this juggernaut of an ancient conqueror fill up the second. He dies after fighting all these wars with all these Greek places in unifying Greece. These other Greek states who didn't want to be under Macedonia didn't want to be under the Philip the second they look at this lion of a man dying and see his snot nose 20 year old son taking over the kingdom, and you know what they say to themselves. Wow. This kid doesn't have what it takes. All these places Philip had taken over start rebelling right away. But Man. Talk about some bad luck. They really did not realize who they were dealing with. There are 20 year olds. And then there's 20 year old Alexander the great, he promptly raises a force smaller than virtually all the other forces he's facing. And just curb stomps all of them right back into submission. He's smart enough to do some diplomacy when he has to. He's also a brutal conqueror. He knows when to absolutely burn a city to the ground and enslave everyone. I want. I want to clarify something about slavery, too. When we talk a lot about ancient Greek slavery and ancient Roman slavery, it can run the gamut on how that slavery goes for you if you're enslaved. If you're if you're a dude. You can do you can be anything from a tutor. The Rome had tutors all the time that we're slaves. You're teaching, you know you're teaching the rich guys. Son, Math. You live a real nice life. And you could be a stable hand. You can work the farms. You can work stone. You can You can on the low, low end of it..
