"So this year probably. Because offensively I, thank you got an and also a new coach I mean I think Mike McCarthy. Is Not disarray Joe you know. Joe Coach I mean he's a guy ask. Is a proven commodity has done well at Green Bay. So everyone is excited about that. So I think with that that's the thing about I. I'm really looking forward to the play calling. I wouldn't there's going to be a lot more dynamic spars using the running backs. I wouldn't be surprised if you script the, you know the first five, four, five plays play action, and just this throw the football because that's what Mike McCarthy doesn't. I guess Keller Moore's offense. I don't know what his philosophy is going to be. So I guess there's so many things to look look for. The Open I am GonNa cautious a lot of cowboy advance. There's going to be some growing pains as first week. So I don't want everyone to expect that they're gonNA come out and they're going to be fired on all cylinders because they haven't really had the time to go through the growth part of it. They have any preseason games as much as everyone says only precision you need some need some continuity need some. Execution and I don't know if you can't do that in in practice and simulation where you're not taking guys down the ground. So there's going to be some growing pains now I hope I'm pleasantly surprised. On, both teams rams in the cowboys but I think the first two three weeks is going to be something. They're just GonNa have to sift away through. I agree. In fact, I think that those growing pains if you want to see like Sitcom growing pains is weird just because this is such a weird. I guess an execution Adams because I don't think it's going to be. Playing as you would, if you had a regular temp aussies to me, it feels like like you know like when you wake up from a nap and it takes you like if you walk to do. So even if you walk to like make a cup of coffee, whatever like it takes you like ten minutes slipped to longer power nap. About five minutes longer than you know. Like I don't want to take. It takes you ten minutes to kind of like rev the engine up like that's that's how I see it. And I think that that will exist across the NFL and that's what I think. There will be i. don't even think the chiefs note with no disrespect intended them will be the chiefs on Thursday night against the Texans because everybody's going through this. So all that considered the cowboys Tony are playing the rams. We now have an opponent we have team to talk about. and. It really is interesting when you think about. It was almost two years ago. You mentioned troy on the ticket Jerry Jones did hit as he does twice a week every week. Did it hit I? Think it was Tuesday morning on the fan after the fan. And it was a Friday morning excuse me and it was the Friday morning after that crazy rams vikings Thursday night game, and he at the time this was two thousand eighteen before the cowboys Trai from our cooper the cowboys offense is really struggling and Jerry Jerry Jones said. Hey. I think that we could be like the rams and everybody was like what's Everybody you know kind of dropped their jaw and I remember Tony. The cowboys beat the wheels off the Jaguars of like like a week later, and they put up forty points and I remember tyrone Crawford at tweeted this video of the time. When he was walking into the tunnel, he looked over at all of us just kind stand in went stop talking shit about our offense and it was like dude. Remember that Italy and it was this was one game like you need. Chill add Sarah. y'All do this like a couple of weeks in a row everybody will come down. But my point is Jerry Jones was like hammered for thinking that the cowboys offense could be anywhere close to the mighty Sean mcvay offense and here we SIP. Now we're recording on September eighth, not even two years later, two, thousand twenty and the cowboys are looked at as the like cream of the crop offense and the rams or. Whatever yeah. Like it's amazing how those roles switched not even two years later, the NFL moves so fast. Yeah does and look what the ranch draw struggle last year only. They were with eleventh in the League in scoring points per game. Like twenty four, almost twenty, four point, nine point. So they weren't the team that they'd been in the past I mean they kind of hit a juggernaut. They just inject Goff Heathrow thirty touchdowns in sixteen interceptions. So they wouldn sufficient as they were last year and they're just they're different look I mean they do have some three on receivers supercup and Robert Woods. Tyler higby nets a Nice Tan, their players but. They just don't. You know that's that's what the NFL is. It's it's it kind like. Cyprus self out and it kind of washes a sell out in. Very trending. Often, something how many guys how many offensive coordinators? How many teams on the glad get some like Sean McVeigh I mean, how do was just on fire he was. wondered the genius of Offenses So. Really got caught up and this year I think the rams are without Todd Gurley. They're going to be more a running back by committee and they're gonNA do different things I. Think they're gonNA to open up a little bit more I think Todd Gurley Kinda may may have held him back because he wasn't that versatile running back Sean mcvay wanted and so I think. It's interesting on on that the rams really I mean that's when that's a that's a flavor of the month. You know you go into Baskin Robbins or whatever, and you get the most popular flavor that's on the board and Shamu Bay at one point man I mean he was you know the favorite ice cream and so I I think it's interesting I think it's interesting that. Favorite ice cream. But what's your favorite ice cream? YOUR FAVORITE FA Mint. Chocolate I chuckled I haven't take for you Tony. nope. NOPE, nobody I've ever known his agreed with this. Do you know my favorite flavor of ice cream is? Gosh. Strawberry, it now I mean strawberries a fine ice cream but no cotton cane. Cotton. Conventional one. Like what's in one has like three different flavors, chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. Calling the police what they call it but anyway. Cotton Candy. Yeah it's. Interesting. It's so good all those great flavors. Talent next time I like God. Candy. In. Your mouth talented next time sugar. They only have it like you're like a baskin robbins or like a marble slab next time you're at one of those places get some just get a cup of kind McCain. I promise you it will change your life. I agree. and. So that's why I'm not too worried about this rams offense I think the cowboys defenses improved I mean to be fair. We're talking about A. Team that already beat the tails off the rams late last season and that was without cd lamb and that was you know with no late in Vandermeesch, granted bio collins is not going to be playing as we mentioned, but I mean I I'm not that worried I think that I think this could be a slow start to your point like kind of knocking the rust off whatever we want to call it and I think maybe at halftime at something like ten to six and at halftime you're seeing all sorts of tweets that are like where's the offense we were talking about everybody was saying forty burgers and Blah Blah Blah and then I think the third quarter I don't know. If you remember this Tony Dak Prescott through the first three games. Last year, I'm not tennis going to happen, but the first three games last year for the cowboys he did not throw an incompletion in the first in the in the first three third quarters of the season, and so I think the third quarter is going to be a ball and we have seen the cowboys Tony have been so much better at adjusting, and by that I, mean they did not plan on CD land being available to them with the seventieth over pay but they adjusted that was the Achilles heel of the Jason Garrett regime was whoa this isn't going exactly the plan holy crap. What do I do? I can't figure this out. We have to go up to stick to the plan that's not how Mike McCarthy and Kelly More WanNa roll. So I really think that at halftime when they look at their charts and they flip open their Microsoft services or whatever, and they say, okay, this is what we're seeing watch out and I think the third quarter is when they blow up you kind of lost me when you mentioned last year because don't you remember those I. Regained Calvin Three dollars and. The three teams that they beat Oh. My Gosh, I mean it was a Miami. New York and Miami. Yeah. Oh three..

"Listen to Sean Jackson is healthy and he's in that line of with them. That's certainly helps them because they definitely got deep threat and we understand that as well. But I brought up the durability of course and win with chip cannot be ignored. That's number one and number two. We also have to understand this the Philadelphia Eagles were helped by the fact that Jason Garrett was your coach and Keller Moore was the first year offense coordinator did a couple of games when Ezekiel Elliot's should have been involved he didn't see the football there were a couple of games when Amari Cooper should have been in the. Late wasn't even on the field in a lot of and wasn't hurt joke somebody just forgot to utilize him. We've seen a lot of boneheaded plays take place with the Dallas cowboys particularly last season and we anticipate it's an upgrade to have. McCarthy not because he's a better coach more experience coaching not just because of that reason because he doesn't make boneheaded mistakes, he doesn't leave you scratch your head saying Damn. What was he thinking? You might not approve of what he decided to do, but you didn't look at him and say, is he all there? Are you sure you ready to be a head coach Hell is wrong with you? Frank you are number one that due to the weems shake on the football field all right thank you. That was awesome time now for a big story. Let's move to Dallas after a season's worth the drama over Dak Prescott. Contracts Jones says the the quarterbacks new deal is the team's top priority. This off season. Saying it's been urgent for them to get it done but ESPN Werner thinks deck is actually at an advantage. China's now tweeting quote that Prescott has tremendous leverage in contract negotiations with with the cowboys. The coaching chains to Mike McCarthy Arthur makes his involvement leading the off season program and mastering whatever changes there on the offensive system all the more critical. He can't participate without a contract. Bind is logic here. Does Mike McCarthy May give Dak Prescott more contract laverick. Absolutely some that we've been talking about. I've been beating. His drum talked about the report Dayton. April you talk about Franchise Tag Day in March that's leverage for deck because in times of change in turnover you gotta highlight the constant. And what's the constant at your most important position you have guy and Dak Prescott who had a career year so now doc is sitting there certainly benefiting from the changes on the sidelines and affect. You need him as they feel general duby that constant so yeah more leverage into debt prescot. I'M GONNA say no for the simple fact that if he to have laboured you've got to be willing to use it I don't believe Dak Prescott on a franchise tag will say I'm not showing up. He will show An. And if I'm the cowboys I non exclusive Franchise Franchise Tag. Let's see what you can get on open market and if if we don't WanNA match this off or we'll take the two first round. Picks try to move up and draft one of these ricky quarter. I don't believe Dak Prescott on a franchise tag. We'll say okay. I'M NOT GONNA show. He just doesn't come off as that guy and if I'm the cowboys I also WanNa see how he performs in his system before I signed him to a four five year deal anyway. I agree with that and I think that when you look at the situation I think back in his people his advisors. We're going to sit there and say wait a minute now. We got a pretty good situation now. McCarthy here we got a good team around around you where else can you go where you're going to walk in and have this kind of an environment already built ready ready to go. And you know McCarthy's record track record as a as a head. Coach with quarterbacks is very very solid I think agree with TJ. That he's not going to the kind of rock. The boat kind of guy where he's going to not honor that franchise tag. I think the cowboys are extended to them. And they'll tell them in good faith that we're GONNA try negotiate. Try and get this contract up to where it makes sense to both sides either way. I think he's going to be there through the off season. I don't think he's going to exercise any kind of pressure by holding out or threatened to hold out. I'm not sure what DAX going to do. Because I I think that his agent Todd France a Helluva but may have Dak out over his skis. And so I'm not sure what let they're willing to do. They may not show up. But I don't think DAX leverage is enhanced because one they've already announced Keller Moore's coming back off into coordinating on basically run the same offense and so I don't think Dallas has some great fear of all my God that won't be here for the off season he won't be he'll be playing catch up with the offense. I don't think that's their fear. I think the cowboys and Jerry Jones probably have rightfully figured out figuring out a long time ago. What I've been saying? Who who else would pay that? Thirty five thirty four thirty three million dollars. I don't think anybody would. And they may have to call this dude bluff love to get him to accept a contract that they think is reasonable time. Somebody up here. Put some respect on Dax name and his level of gangster and I'm going to be the one because he had a thirty three million dollar deal sitting there on the table. You know what he did. THAT'S GANGSTA UTAH. He's not gonNA show improve or he's not going to test them when they try. Try to franchise him. Oh yes he is the same guy who has that kind of Mojo mindset that. I'm looking at thirty three million dollars on average quarterback at the time not even own a career rear year and I just dismiss it. Oh He's ready and they're ready to give him what he wants. Because Kelly Moore is in place. Why is he in place? Give deck woody. We need give deck. What he wants to keep that constant? I don't look at it like you look at it. I look at it like Hella more. You were saved because of the greatness or the belief in Deck Prescott. So if you're going to give him what he wants to turn the coordinator you're not going to give him what he wants to turn the contract and try to call his bluff bad move. This is the same. This is kirk cousins. All over again. And I think you as a quarterback on a good team put some good numbers as you WANNA playoff game no. He hasn't won a playoff game. He don't do it. You won't okay a couple of years ago when that that was but the bottom line is acted. He went to big gators last two years. Zero playoff games all right. So he doesn't have that leverage working for him he didn't went into the big games this year. Down the stretch. I think that works against him now. He's going to get the money at some point. It's not gonNA be anything more than I think that. Thirty three million the franchise way way more than that franchise tag thirty three and a half. Yeah you bet on yourself. An mass obviously what he's doing and if I'm the cowboys I'm not going with the non on exclusive franchise tag. You have to you have to give give him the non-exclusive I'm not born with the is twenty. I five million. I think that's that Prescott should get paid. How would jason on this one list? See what you can get out there. And that's how you treat your franchise quarterback you keep their coordinate a native format say come back to you is never personal. It's just.

"Dollar man last week. Come on how many the yard game of the year all the Zeke's in the game if if he was healthy at that point. That's something to think about for a long time so then my team hangs in there and finally my quarterback makes a huge four thousand nine throat. Randall COBB and they get a field goal to cut it to seventeen to nine and they get the ball back twice after that. And what happens Amari Cooper the guy who changed life in Dallas a year ago. He's even out every other play. What are you doing this is it? This is Philadelphia for the division title. I don't know how much Amari practice it might. You know when you don't practice and you just try and play Games your cardio you'll you'll become a full participant. I don't know maybe he's hurt. Maybe he's not hurt by the body language it speaks to me over guys. He doesn't look one hundred percent. These okay so last. Play the game. throated Michael Gallup. There's no Amari even on the field deal for for what it's worth. There's no rain Akaba. I don't even know what they were doing on the last play that Keller. Moore's fault is on Garrett's fault. I don't know they're tired. They're worn out. They make too much money. I mean we've we've seen it before. We've seen Julio Jones tap the game Gavin running full speed and Shannon not now not this game maybe against Tampa mid year a bit tired. Don't drop the eagles. "That's all that was on the post post game show the postgame post where whatever you would like to call it right here on one of five to the fan after your cab with defeat the lines of Detroit thirty five to twenty seven all right so before we went to break I asked the question that apparently our interested in I added a new state I I ask the question because the topic of discussion around these cowboys lately has been exclusively pretty exclusively focused on one chasing gear in his sitting ducks season I guess you could call it yeah last season on the end of his contract will he get extension what is necessary for him to try and get that extension is it getting to the NFC championship game is it winning the Superbowl is given to the Superbowl what is it that helps Jason here remain the head coach and obviously you based off of what you see over the last nine years what you're seeing this season and in this game was there anything that major change even just a modicum a little bit your feelings on chasing here some now I am a little bit not me no not no no here's the thing I I okay maybe maybe no was too hard to come down like that but then I mean it might not just the thing the only thing that I feel like I was slightly impressed with by Jason Garrett was his ability and and having Keller Moore's ability to go ahead and take what the defense is giving you don't don't try to overdo it don't try to say Hey this is what we came with the game plan to do with stick with it they they showed that they weren't totally stubborn to that point let me I forgot to read this I wanted to read this from James later former teammate right here one of five B. fashion works to NFL network he tweeted a team sports a team source tells me cal boys head coach Jason Garrett had a meeting with the players Thursday well they wouldn't divulge all that was all what was said I was told he took accountability for some things it was really well received by the team and they play hard for each other in him today cool came out they still came out super slow so I mean yeah great he he took accountability for something that was his fault I'm propriety Jason gear for being an adult but had the same time at this point I haven't seen anything that now in the house maybe talk to me next week the cowboys go up to New England and he out coaches bill Belichick it may you know do X. Y. Z. and they're able to get out there and show that they can win yeah okay then that might be able to that might change my my confidence meter in Jason Garrett a little bit but I don't feel any better about him going out there and and giving a one possession laying against the Detroit Lions seem to doesn't have their starting quarterback so you know I I want to be more optimistic about it but at this point in time where I am right now I I'm still of the camp that Jon Kitna might be the only coach whose job is safe right now you know I do the ads for the quarterbacks coach I've seen a lot from that can symbolize his improvement I think that's great to have him around but if you look across the board if you look at the way that the defense is kind of played the defensive schemes the offense with that they've played I emailed all everything else is kind of up in the air right now for me when you're looking at this Dallas Cowboys team so I would I would love to be like oh yeah we won the game everything was fantastic in cowboy land but that's just not the truth Jason Garrett is still chasing care it until until otherwise is proven to me that he can actually go out in out coach and win you a game from that aspect I don't think my competence meters gonna change on the fans as from a four three two no guarantee still garbage from the four.

"Right now here too because we give our picks every time Sundays and Thursdays a man Lombardi right now ten and five on his picks makes you take a listen on Thursday ten and five when it comes to your picks for all the people there with the smart money and he'd be even better if he didn't trust John Elway the Broncos all oh my God yeah I mean I mean like Milley says to me today tonight. She said how many more times you're going to get burnt by Denver. Your full like an idiot she's right like are you kidding me. You know here's the thing they were going into this year. They were undefeated in September. They were twenty two or twenty to one okay and they lose that game to the Chicago and then the next thing you know they lose today. They're up seventeen to three with a backup quarterback. Joe flacco driving down the field. I don't know who the fuck is throwing the ball to. I have no idea right. He throws it over over Emmanuel Sanders head by ten yards and the next thing you know they come down the field and the middle eight of the football. I was so oh proud of Matt rule the other night eighty matt rule at halftime of the Iowa state ballot game. He's he talks to the ABC announcer coming off the field. We gotta win the Middle Eight and they looked at he was talking Greek right in the middle late last four minutes of the first half the first four minutes of the second and so here's what happens when people don't think the middle h relevant so of course flacco. Oh throws intercept. They're going to put the game away. They'RE GONNA put the game away and then he throws that horrendous ball and then they come down they get a touchdown really at the end of the half but they they get bailed out with a holding call and then they got a field goal to make it seventeen to six then they get the opening kickoff and they spent I think almost eleven minutes driving that thing down that there was a third thirteen. I had to go take a piss and come back and I said what happened. She converted. I'm like Oh. This is ridiculous garments show. You're playing at home right. You're playing at home. You've got a seventeen three lead against a rookie quarterback and you lose by the way speaking of Middle Eight. That's one of the best parts of gridiron genius by the way your book is now available in paperback check haven't but you were talking about ballot check and the fact that he often chooses not to have the ball game but rather it looks to kick it off in the reason why why is as you pointed out let's he's facing. Peyton manning with the Patriots and have a good drive towards the end of the first half and then they had the star of the second. That's an hour that a great quarterback Disney of the ball to get him out of rhythm. I thought that was fascinating the best way to play defenses to play no defense. That's the reality of it to play no defense. I mean that's the scary part is I mean. Dallas had to play more defense tonight. I think tonight I haven't the final score the the scoreboard is up tonight but Dallas actually had to play more than thirty minutes of defense. The saints made them play. They want ugly. The saints of the saints keep winning winning ugly because the saints other than that sack. I think I think we should do a better job. Educating the fans on another pet peeve of mine which is where quarterbacks can't take a sack. There's parts of the field. quarterbacks can't take a sack and Menchu was really good at this shit. LE- let today he's got. He's getting pressure from all over. He gets out of it. He hangs in the pocket and he throws. There's a touchdown pass late in the game and because he knew he could take a sack there tonight. Teddy Bridgewater takes a second-place. He can't take a sack so that's one of my pet peeves too but the middle eight is really how you can control football games and you know the saints. The saints did a good job tonight of control in what they could control what their limitations in terms of the quarterback teddy bridgewater teddy just can't make the place. I mean teddy after two games to me and I know the saints pay them a lot and he's GonNa go out there but teddy to me looks like a really good backup but not a starter. Yeah I'm with you. The headline can be all the saints have won. A couple of games drew brees man with you. It can't be sustain. I'm not saying that they're lucky I'm just saying that. They're paying Sean football around him and clearly early. The defense stepped up but if you think you're GONNA win pivotal games with Teddy Bridgewater. You'd be mistaken. I had the best line of all my neighbor bill. He's a cowboy fan and he's like I said do what do you think what do you think this matchup between the clapper and Sean Payton now he's a cowboy fan and he says to me the copper going to stay in Dallas. The results have been the same. That's how much confidence to Clapper Br. I mean like I want to know what I would really like a documentary on what Jason Does during the game I would like to know and this whole Kellyn more conversation about him being the next the next offense coordinator. Let me just say this. They didn't do a good job on this on television but I can honestly tell you Dennis Allen kicked Kella. Moore's yours ask. He took him around the back door and he worked his ASS. Every run got stuff because he was run blitz and everyone he knew everyone was going. He didn't get fooled on everyone. The saints it's players knew everything they were doing. They got their ass hammer to them. They knew every route like all this talk about. Keller Moore's the next coming of Jesus Christ and he's going to be the next head coach. He may become a great coach but it ain't how he got his ass kicked tonight. He got his ASS kicked tonight by Dennis Allen. You'd be wrong along. Goodfellas is incredible film because it's so exhilarating exuberant casinos of the rise and fall this mob families in Vegas. This is very much a story about memory and loss us and regret and Deniro plays on old guy who's looking back on his life and reflecting on it's about memory and redemption the mechanics of cinema. That's not to say there isn't the mop stuff of course it's the Scorsese movie. You've got a bunch of murderers. Yeah get dark humor. That's very funny but you'd appreciate the fact is our like Philly guys. It's a philly mob. South Jersey and it has a ton to do but the Kennedys and Pacino a place Jimmy Hoffa like he's unbelievable as offer yeah. Oh I love when Tony says I don't understand you. Why do you love John Kennedy. Hey the brother I love exactly exactly the brother always trying to break the Bob. There's plenty of great seeds about that so like I said plenty talk with the Irishman That's available get a pair of scissors. We have to call a couple. Taylor's ehlers over from Italy and give them some freshers when they get here Barca's so like I said Mike upside down. We can't forget does great and a guy that we've been critic. Love Marcus Chris Mariana throws three first half touchdown passes as the titans beat the Falcons. They're gonNA surging conference now. They're gonNA share the AFC South Lead Mario through to those two into a AJ Brown titans defense by the way three fourth-down stops beating the Falcons twenty four to ten. We can talk in a second but seriously what the Hell's wrong with Matt Ryan the Falcons. They look like they're in trouble look. I'm just going to say really clearly. I mean the Falcons Nineteen nineteen cents a super bowl. We have this. The Falcons are one of these perception teams partly partly because their general manager gets great publicity. You know they always have great drafts. You know and they've got a couple of marquee players but you know Dan Quinn's really dealing with a with a with a deck. That's not good in nineteen thousand nine hundred and they can't stop the run and Anytime Tennessee beats team. It's because they're gonNA go in there and be able to run the football. I think today you know Henry. They had one hundred yards rushing. I mean they can't stop the run. They have no physicality to them whatsoever and look. I mean Dan Quinn's on the hot seat. There's no doubt about it. I mean Dan Quinn losing at home home. I mean he's easily. Owen for that Eagle Game he won but it was didn't feel like a win. I mean the scoreboard said he won but it didn't feel like he won that game and as you go through last week against against Indianapolis he scores three times in the second half and he still loses the game because he can't stop them coming back and he's taken over the defense so you you know hats off to Mariota great job what he's been able to do but the reality here is. I'm telling you the heat is on Dan. Quinn and it's going to stay on that when everybody in the League thinks that this job job is going to open up and it could open up all across the board. I mean one thing about Arthur blank. You know rich McKay's safe forever because he's on the prestigious competition committee but everybody else is not safe in that place and this loss I. It's it rings really poorly within the building and it's going to stay that way. I mean Atlanta just isn't a good team partly partly because when you can't play the run at home in a dome when you can't play the run at home in a dome you you can't play Mariana eighteen twenty seven to twenty seven Derrick Henry hits exactly a hundred yards rushing so there wasn't a whole out the falcons defense can do successfully and ask for Matt Ryan. I mean he had to throw the ball ton. Mikey was thirty five of fifty three three for three hundred ninety seven years about this he had almost four hundred yards passing get.

"Offensive line is giving Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Roses out there absolutely really no chance and it's going to give their offense no chance to move it they they've been pushed around it to an embarrassing level in two weeks but I would also look at their defense and say maybe maybe they maybe they were competitive for a stretch today. They are also going to look at last week. They play in the Patriots and a defense that is loaded for bear right. Now I know but it's forty-three nothing. It's like they like to play two great teams over week one and two and so maybe every week won't all look like this but it's hard to get wiped out more than they have in two weeks and also you know these are human beings like you. They players are not going to be all in or even vaguely in and you're going to start to play for yourself. You've lost ost huge chunks of the locker room. Already Savvy dudes like they're not thinking Oh. We're GONNA turn this thing around when the team is week after week trading away your talent patriots did have some bad news in this game. They lose their left tackle. Isaiah win. He was replaced by Corey Cunningham. Who is an injury right yeah foot injury who was traded for his kind of a replacement placement level player they started Marshall Newhouse who signed on the team on Wednesday and I believe pf Adam graded as the lowest ranked player in the entire NFL this week pro so Y- that was their thinnest position in the if you're looking for a reason for hope here Dan I think they're thinnest position on the roster by a good deal going into the year and they've lost both their starters in the first two weeks I don't root for Injuries Greg but yes I would like someone to challenge the Patriots in the AFC right now? It is not looking good but I don't take a lot of I don't take out out of these dolphins. Games is righteous fun watching Lamar Jackson did last week. Wh who is this opponent I I would say you could take this Intel me when you when you check this came out if you disagree Brady Antonio Brown and as much as as annoying as that play call was from the homer `Isms they're like the day already are in zinc and it is an extreme to the point where Josh Gordon was unnecessary in the first half they're in sync and he's going to be a massive fan and he only played twenty five snaps which is really injured like less than Ryan is oh you know about a third as much as Julian Ataman but they threw the ball team. I do wonder if there's a chance as the only game Antonio Brown place for the Patriots the NFL L. is meeting with his sexual assault accuser on Monday. I think it's very strange that he played in this game with that looming over them that there's a chance chance at the NFL could potentially put him on the Commissioner's exempt. I would assume it's possible based on how that meeting goes out. They have to win and it just and why was that necessary until this process amid reports that they would not have signed him had they known this was coming so then you so this is here and now oh you play him to meet. I don't hear those reports. That's the thing it's if if I need to hear them saying. If you'RE GONNA put that report out there the show us with like don't plan their actions do not match anything else but an adult in the room next time somebody has to make a decision on this guy please and the one now I mentioned how Belgium kept on going after Brian Floors according to Mitch Meta Greg No sketch up in arms you your hand motions. He threw twenty eight times they had to pick sixes sixes in Belgium called zero blitz on the final play of forty-three nothing win a zero blitz. If you don't know is when you send the house at the passer her he did that forty three nothing well Rosen couldn't handle it was seven for eighteen. I mean he clearly chick agrees defending joke okay. Let's move. Cro Platelets second. They always admired the giant Meyer again. Three White House left side the SAMP. Josh Allen Looks for blocks. GonNa try to run it in himself and to the corner touchdown Buffalo Josh Allen his second touchdown run of the year. This one goes six yards around the right side and it looked an awful lot like the one last week untouched there the bills pool two guys out in front gets a great cut block on linebacker or Ryan Conley to set up the scoring touchdown Jon Murphy and Eric would with a call for the bills radio network. Josh L. Ran for one touchdown through for another the bills cruise to a twenty gate fourteen win over the giants at Metlife Stadium it completes a medal and sweep by the bills to start the season. The bills defense forced two turnovers Trent Murphy and Jordan poor both had picks allowed. Only three of the giants eleven drives the spend longer than six place. that's dominance mark mark the bills in control this what an impressive opening into game stretch for the bills who obviously as you said we're on the road and oh you guys got tired of me mentioning this to you downstairs but Sean McDermott I thought had an ingenious plan and it's a little. OCD and it's a little superstitious. It's a little bit over organized sized mixed all into one but they stayed at the same hotel. They put the players in the same exact room says last week the coach wore the same clothing day after day and they went out and and they drummed a second New York team and the bills to me are a playoff team if they getting if they keep getting the coaching that they're getting from McDermott and from Leslie Frazier sure as the defensive coordinator and surprisingly to me Brian Cabell as well. I think he's done a really really good job. Josh Allen has impressed me two weeks in a row by overcoming mistakes the four turnovers last week could've buried some quarterbacks. We've seen who struggle with confidence in this in this early season. He bounced back from that took. A couple of bad sex early on in this game didn't faze them. They've got just enough on the ground with Frank Gore and Devon Single Terry. I like single terry a lot. He got being banged up in this game and they're getting just enough from coal beasley and the rest through the air and their Defense Ed Oliver when you nail these first round picks like they have at Oliver looks like a star already he helped generate on a bad at pass a big turnover in this one and the giants are an absolute wandering lost ship and I don't even know where to go. Is it the defense that could not be more confused. I and leave bills players more wide open and has an absolute talent train or an offense in a coaching staff especially if you're Pat Shurmur. I don't know who is not allowing you to start your other quarterback at this point just to see what would happen because if you continue on this path with Eli Manning. You're not going to be a head coach. You need a spark. You need someone to come. I'm in we've been saying that the entire world been saying and everyone but the giants organization. It's not just that Eli Manning is better than we think and we're just piling on him. He was the problem today along with an offense that after the first drive with the consequent Barclay has no ability to surprise anyone if you you're gonNA get scored on on that first drive two weeks that happens then you just drop a bomb on them and the giants have no answer Jack Rabbit Jenkins after the game through his pass rush under the bus saying that he can't cover for ten seconds is on every play and then Pat Shurmur said look. We're not gonNA take a look at the quarterback. Situation is not the problem well I don't shy. NFL coach would would come out of this game saying that there's a they have a lot of problems they don't their talent poor old quarterback that they have to make a switch on bill does right now. QB Killers I mean they not that they gave Sam Darnold Amano but they made him look well you know they gave him the worst performing to Mary. Thomas might have given him on no. That's that's they gave him. The worst performance quarterback had last week really and it sounds like similar to nine passes defense. It's that secondary is is as a veteran secondary and they fly to the ball tough likeable well coached team and maybe the jets and giants both end up drafting top five so these two wins won't seem as impressive late in the season but going on the road the first two weeks of the season. That's pretty good and everyone says the Patriots have this cake schedule early in the year and it gets harder but they have the bills in a couple of weeks they did it could be a match up of two three zero teams in buffalo because because Buffalo has the Trevor Siemian show and and people forget that Buffalo gave New England nights on Monday night football last season and so the bills finally they have their home opener. That's right their home opener next week against the bengals angles I buy cincy and then you've got New England at home the next week at one. PM Eastern don't like Bull Against Cincinnati though because if you still get Cincinnati and then get killed in New England also your two into and all this juice has gone take care of business next. It's doesn't feel to me like the bills teams of old that have done that systematically after year. They feel a little bit different. I hope you're right all right. Let's move on. I hope I'm right not under center second down six with a site to Elliott and time for the Middle planned Smith. You're there's just play action in the backfield. They've got no safety in the middle of Field Devon's runs away from Josh Norman here great route great grow grow great thrown Great Pass Protection Great Paul by telling more Brad Sham the Shammgod and bathe Robin Bergh with a call. KRLD stay they hot DAK Prescott the cowboys quarterback carved up the redskins defense with his arms and legs twenty-six thirty to sixty nine three touchdowns and sixty nine yards rushing in thirty one twenty-one cowboys win. Wes We'll Zeke Elliott eventually take full control this offense shape or we all of a sudden in the middle of a sneaky sneaky. MVP candidate Dak type dachshunds I absolutely think that can be an MVP candidate this year considering the strength of that roster and what Keller Moore's done with the offense and then add on top of it Dak Prescott improvement starting with the second half of last year he entered this game with the most passing yards in the NFL phil over the previous nine games going back to last season. He has been playing well for a long time now and in this game do you so another playmaker emerge guy. I've been talking about Devon Smith led the team in receiving in this game burned Josh Norman which seems like not that great of a fee. I think we could do that now. It Josh Norman's getting burned a lot on depots. Michael Michael Gallup burned him on another depot Dak miss through it turned him around on the play after last week decade a perfect passer rating sluggish starting this one in the interception exception Randall Cobb hands was his fault. It was a bad throw but then he completed eighteen straight passes at one point in this oh he is getting hot with Keller more calling the plays and I don't think it's a coincidence you do have to point out the caveat that the giants defense is terrible. The redskins secondary was injured coming up into this game and suffered another cornerback back injury during the game so I think you have to say let's let's hold off and see if this truly is one of the most dynamic offense in the NFL so far this year they have been Prescott Lead Dallas on consecutive touchdown drives of ninety seven eighty three and seventy five yards different you know Dan has been on seahawks corner. There's no one has been on Devon Smith corner like Chris Wesseling and to me that is emblematic of the fact that this team is a little deeper that they have guys like Devon Smith engaged on a day where you know cooper gets forty four yards and randall cobb gets twenty four yards. There's still putting up four seventy four doing what a really good team should do which just control a game on the road against an inferior opponent in.

"Uh not that many leaked quarterbacks out big of a deal. Do you think the hype thing is in terms of seeing the field. I don't think it's that big of a deal. I really really don't play. Let's he's not he. We're seeing some of the shorter guys be elite. At this level. We've seen the drew brees and the Russell Wilson's and now granted polymer is even shorter than them but that's where coaching comes in schematically how you put your play in the best position to go out there and be successful rolling them out doing all the type of things. That's why it's really incumbent on Cliff Kingsborough to me. He's going to be the one that's going to determine if Collin Murray is going to really thirteen and a half point underdogs on Sunday the cardinals significant Zeke's presences backfield aw yeah it's it's very significant. I mean just him being there just as president it gives me confidence sure and I'm sure it gives everybody else confidence that you know he's back. There and I know it really scares the defense so yeah we we definitely hit them back there for sure. This is the most diverse the most options this offense had since since you've been in this locker room and just no role mix of speed in in different options the the thing is the most talented from top to bottom and just have so many weapons on the outside inaugrate tight ends and a lot of mismatch mismatch the mismatch mismatch mismatch is just our ability to spread it out the anyone ever Omega play the cowboys certainly confident after a big one win over the rival giants Dallas taking on another. NFC East rival in the redskins on certain daming still here with even looking at you your swap what's important for the boys this season offense or defense defense. The reason why I think it's defense is because defense wins championships. I mean obviously offense is GonNa get you some points. In our wins Games. We get that but you gotta be able to stop people and the Dallas cowboys even in the days of Tony Romo Dez Bryant and all of those voice they had way of putting up point. What was the issue? She would that team. They couldn't get Donald. They couldn't give stops year after year. After year. They couldn't pull it off. We looked at the Dallas cowboys and we labeled with them Super Bowl contenders. When did that happen? You know no matter what we saw last year was the fining moment when drew brees and Ed high octane offense in New Orleans strolled into jerry world and everybody includes specially me thought that the cowboys were had and that Defense Bench show the hell up. I said my God I did not know that they were capable of this led by my jealous beautiful last name by the way late van the rest of those boys eat in those I mean these kids Avia would showing up just led the team in tackles last week all right with eleven tackles. I'm looking at the Dallas cowboys right now. Who would've sixth ranked defense last year seventy yards allowed number father gets the rush? They got athletes. They have speed they've got hitters and listen. If you live up to that you're GONNA be in games giving your offense. A multitude of opportunities with with Ezekiel Elliot of our Recoup Dak Prescott in those boys to Gallup can't forget him to make things eggs happen the office. I'm not saying it's not important. Please don't get me wrong but what the success or lack thereof for the Dallas cowboys is GonNa come down on whether or not dead defense really is what we think they are. I disagree. I think it's going to come down to the offense because I have faith in the defense. You look at like when you have Jalen Smith and Van Deresh linebacker forgot about demarcus Lawrence by the way you gotta I Brown cornerback who can lead but Sean Sean how good Sean Lee always getting hurt. He's an afterthought because they got two young stars even better right Sean Lee. He's not what he was really. We really good you. Don't even think about him. When you talk about this defense? I think the defense will be fine what it's going to come down to when the team proved to you right now. Why don't we believe in the cowboys? What's what's the number one reason you can talk about the fans Garrett Jason Garrett Jason Garrett as a coach and what are we really talking to you? Call them places the move right. That's what I'm telling. Moore now did a great job week one but the giants giants. Everyone wants to make points one shell. I'm sorry AMAC's more. You actually talk a lot more. Don't mind you said I'm sorry I'm sorry Kellyn more showed something something week. One not just DAK Prescott guys. The issue with the cowboys were run. CENTRIC also wouldn't go on fourth and one pivotal position so they were a conservative run century century and the the offense wasn't dynamic enough to really win over the top in this. NFL when you look the rams when you look at the Patriots and teams like that the chiefs if the cowboys are now a dynamic offense and they have the weapons they have guys on the on the receiving the Receiver Court with upside beside Amari Cooper that Prescott really that guy the offensive line is full together and healthy for the first time in a while if they're a dynamic offense and Keller Moore's a`dynamic play caller caller this team can win the Super Bowl. It's GONNA come down to the offense. I know they can play defense will listen office. Absolutely you've got to be able to score points in the offense and back. I got shelled out what I want to say. I'M GONNA go defense number one travel when you get a lot of pointed a year you know office tends to slow down a little bit and that's where defense usually comes up and may increase big moments teams on stand Dallas has unique formula because they wanna run the ball. They want to control the time of possession which keeps said difference fresh didn't it wasn't that way week. One because obviously Zeke was coming back. You Know Oh from Kabul you don't WanNa wear them out and all those type of things but I think with all the pieces at the Dallas Cowboys Office they have continuity office office the office and they got the quarterback has been there while Ot- Zeke has been there while I think he physically if if if their defense is playing elite level which they were last year to me. I think that's when that's when you start really talked about the cowboys being a super bowl team. We all know about the running game. We all know about Amari Cooper Jack Prescott but I don't think enough. That's been talked about as far as the defense in how how great they've been on that side of the football we listen yes but I'm giving you that the cowboys trinet narrative around a couple of years ago for good reason they have a lot of talent on the defense. What I'm saying is this yet we know about we know about Zeke and everything and that and that kind of office if this can be not a dynamic offense capable of winning shootout against the elite teams the cowboys can win a super bowl? If not I'm telling you they won't and that's really more than anything. The criticism of Jason Garrett the offense Swat well first of all you will. That's not accurate because the criticism our Jason Carroll has always been there a matter of fact. He's actually an an afterthought. Believe it or not when people think about the cowboys too. Many people don't think about them you accurately so I might add bring him up. You're not wrong in that but I'm telling you most people don't think about him. especially seeing call him plays which are thinking about his Trajan the transition from John Kelly to kill him more the fact that you had a run oriented offense led by Zeke Elliott which gave you cause and justification in your mind. If you're Jerry is Stephen Jones to justify holding down the fort in terms of not giving his money out to this point and now you've got a guy and Kelly Moore who's going to be a bit more pass happy a bit more risque looking throw the ball downfield after you acquired Amari Cooper seven games into the season last year so now that we've got Amari Cooper and we've seen elevation of gala because he clearly looks better now and at least in one game than he he did last year and you've got your security blanket in Jason witten short yardage situations okay and Randall Cobb is an upgrade in the slot over a coal beasley. The Dallas Cowboys mentality is.

"Forces way out of Oakland which will help explain on a craze w posted this week. What asks you guys. Are you buying any orchestrated his move out of hell no Hell No. I'm buying that drew. Rosenhaus is one of the most powerful agents and most most powerful media manipulators in the history of the League. If there's ever a black athlete acting a buffoon publicly in anywhere you can nine times out of ten drew. Rosenhaus is behind you go boy you go boy from Tokyo two. Ab Too Damn Nate Chad Johnson Johnson drew oils and houses always behind this. This is not orchestrated this cover story for a guy just blew thirty million in guaranteed from Oakland and if I'm the agent and I got to compete against other agents who are GonNa be like D. Two Sec- roles in house did to Antonio Brown the cover story well this was this is what we wanted to do and meanwhile them to. White Kid videography down in Miami. They're exploiting as well. They got their hooks into hate. I hate to say a useful idiot and they're building a brand and a business offer. Ab along with drew Rosenhaus you know this because I would like to think that he was savvy enough to pull it off and to orchestrate it or not because when I look at the money because we always say follow the money the money we follow the money doing that. He got nine and million just for signing his name Elo in Oakland. He didn't have any of that. It may be guaranteed but he didn't see any their money. He was going to see that money and to the regular season started so there's a part of me that does I believe that maybe there was something to these clan escon conversation where they were talking behind back channels and maybe drew. Rosenhaus orchestrated this but in terms of the social media stuff. It's a lot but look man. Ab Low of social media like no other I wouldn't put it past dealings social media crack and it's running around trying to sell this author three and this is this is empowering he's in control of his narrative now you're in control of AB and making the name and money off of him and making a name for yourself. Look let me say this one. He did not orchestrate this from his origins. Let's just be real about the no one aw on purpose get frostbite like Zola's. Just get this out the way movie finding a good however. Let's be real what he did once once. They crossed the line his is whatever the first shot was fired. ABC Did navigate these waters perfectly and he played mayock and and grooten against themselves and really he played them against how inept they weren't their positions and how inexperienced they work. Let's talk about this in the break. This down was to quote. Sometimes you gotta how to play the role of a fool fool fool who thinks they are fooling you. y'All digesting. Ab realized that Whoa I got a quarterback. I don't really trust it and I got frostbite. They now fully support me this helmet stuff they starting to trip and they not only finding Rosenhaus fully our sister and says there's a way don't forget. New England unwanted you for a first round draft pick in a trade in March. Let's check value as a good agent will do he will get on this phone without any record and say what's out there for robust market place a beat. I don't know how you can do it. I don't know how we're GONNA do but if you could find a way to be a free agent once again you'll do it. This is how he played them may up tremendous experience in the game but not tremendous experience as a GM groom all about coaching and being on TV but not doc necessarily dive into the details of the this is how you played him. He said I don't want to be here and they finally said you know what this angle work. We got fifty two other men. Let them go and guess what they didn't do. They should've suspended him for four games punted the ball and they realized we can't do anything to get something in return. What did they they did return for? Ab and his antics zero so that's how he got played they played the Oakland Raiders to get out of their lands somewhere and they got nothing in a return. That's here's what I would agree with what Gruden and May. I don't know what the hell they do. I agree with that and I've got one hundred million dollar contract tracking it ain't GonNa Work but in terms of what Rosenhaus who is the real puppetmaster behind ABC. There's there's a there's a pattern of Rosenhaus clients and this type of buffoonery. ABC's brand has been damaged. It's GonNa be harder for him to get into the hall of fame unless this thing with New England goes very very well Michael Vick Mark Sizzler at the battle has moved to Dallas. Cowboys looked every bit the super bowl contender yesterday dominating the the giants thirty five or seventeen in the game was over by Halftime Dallas was glad to have Ezekiel Elliott back but it was actually Dak Prescott who took over the game throwing for over four hundred yards art and four touchdowns afterward that deflected questions about his pending contract and I'm turning the page and I'm worried about the Washington redskins have people that handle that and and Ma focuses on this team on the football game. I think as long as I can keep continue to do that. This team will do things like we did tonight and as I said that's that's been outta. Emma focus for the past week and I told you guys that are what's the takeaway here. Marcellus pay deck. The cowboys are super. Bowl contenders stopped at the source tours a half out. There was perfect pitch a perfect. I paint a perfect picture. This do went out there and said all this weight on my shoulders by contract wasn't imminent before this performer so and now it is Jerry because Dak Prescott has those intangibles and we've talked about this early Tom Brady and his younger years. Here's an early Ben Rothlisberger when those guys were gay managers at best and Dak has been that and a little more but we knew that deck could take the the next step and put himself in the different tier. So what I saw yesterday was a guy who went out there. Not only with the perfect rating spread the ball around the seven different receivers four hundred ninety ninety four total yards didn't have to play a game and most importantly. Let's be real didn't even read the engine. Dan Use Zeke up and think about this so deck is out there with his new relationship in killing more cooking up some magic and that's a critical relationship towards his success excess and I'm glad back in this position because he's about to get paid you know what just watching this game yesterday and knowing immense amount of pressure that that was on deck like every every passes worked for a couple of million I think about it and I'm like yes watching this post game interview. He's not worried about the money he's all about the team you know and I think back to my years when I was in contract years and it was all about the team it was all about how play and that's how you that's how you get the money if I'm GONNA coach. That's the type of guy won't on my team. I know it's hard to find guys like that but that's the type of quarterback. I won't guy who don't let the pressure get big so imagine moving forward you know throughout the next four or five years for him. It's going to be easy. I see I see great things for Dak Prescott because he got the right attitude man and then like you say you know Keller Moore's office coordinator now John Kidding a quarterback coach. I mean he got quarterback. Google's all around the Jason I mean he set up to be successful for the next ten twelve years. You give me two options eight. Pay DAK BE SUPER BOWL contenders. I'm taking see all the above like everything like you get paid you either pay now or pay later. He's either going to get franchise. He's going to get a contract. This is offensively and deepest. We didn't play very well the deepest they're talented this this football team man. You want to talk about how you want to beat you today. You want us to bludgeon you death because we can do that upfront up front with with Zeke Elliot with Office of line. We have you want us to spread it around. Dak Prescott came out. That bowl was on time on target. I'm I'm talking about Bam right now on every throw. I I watch and I kept you kidding me. Are you kidding me or you get and I've always been a Dak Fran. Eh I've been a fan. I think the kid is outstanding but they were great. They've gotten better they want to talk about. We talked earlier about addition by subtraction. Go ahead Colby's Louis C. round sometime. 'cause I guarantee you randall Cobb. He can do everything you can and a little bit more sweep stuff that goes sweep stuff an all the running out of the backfield. This is a a talented team with Gab on the other side of of Amari Cooper. I mean uh they were legit. They can beat you any way. You want to beat you listen. I've been DAX biggest financial skeptic. I've been saying no paid is due to a dollar more than twenty eight twenty nine million a year. Don't don't do it. I have to say I was watching that game. I would love to say that I came away going super. WHOA contender but more than I did come away thinking that but more like they want to pay that they have to and the reason reason why because now you can pay that and he can walk in that locker room. Yeah I'm working. There will be no one in that locker room questioning because because what I saw and I know it was the giants and I know the giants are rebuilding and it wasn't the greatest test when adduced stops back in place at back foot good and then released the ball on time on schedule and it's a dime go right here with with with some decent coverage that play works in that throwing motion and everything works against any defense in any team the things I saw that do yesterday even though it wasn't against the greatest competition. It wasn't guys just running wide open. It wasn't the fact that occasion. He was getting tapped. He was with some pressure and getting hit and still delivering the ball. I think this is not a potshot Lamar Jackson but it's just like that's what I didn't see from. Lamar was guys at his feet. I saw guys run. What no with debt I saw like like damn he's blossomed in four into what Jerry has been saying? He's GonNa be he showed it week one and yeah you gotta pay the here's what I learned earning week one. Whatever you think going into the weekend bet against yourself whatever you're thinking flip the money on the side. I was not thinking four hundred yards. I wasn't big four hundred yards and four times what we we have to highlight their relationship between him and killer more we have to you know why because they're no longer predictable. Let's just say that after one week I don't care what you think about this team to a superbowl team were not. They're not predictable. You can't lineup as a defender and guess like you could in years past to when you have a former teammate now calling your place think about that religion I can. He can only look at the screen with you and you guys have this unspoken language. He can poke you. He can prod he can know your strips and weaknesses and you can take them and way way different than someone who's distant in that relationship so now Keller Moore's like man. I know what you can do and I know what you can't do. You work on those other things later but this is your diet right now and he's going to give them everything the Myers for you go. I'm gonNA tell you why you're so right about that in terms of you're talking about two young people close to the same age who who haven't gotten paid yet from the NFL DAX making two million Keller Moore's probably making a million as the offense coordinator killing more sitting out there..

"Let's get back to the Dallas cowboys now by now we we know they're conundrum. They have three offensive stars with the desire to pay just two of them this year. It's simple math problem but a complicated life problem for Steven Jones Jones enmity yesterday that Deck Mari Zeke are all talented saying we've got three really good football players that we're dealing with keep in mind. None of the three half super bowl ring so brian are the cowboys big three just a little overrated. I don't think they're overrated. I think they're actually really good in sneakily. I think they have a good chance of winning the N._F._C. East and that's taken a lot from the Philadelphia Eagles. We have a stack roster. I think when you talk about the N._F._C. East you're talking about a team that can run the football football and played good defense to me. That's the recipe for success especially in the playoffs with all three then have all three. All three of them have to have to be there now. When you compare the the big three across the League you're talking about Mahomes? You're talking about hill and Williams they don't compare to them you talking about Aaron Rodgers Damian Williams and Davante Adams. They don't compare here too. You're talking about Tom Brady Eshelman and Sony Michelle they don't compare them because those football teams score the football thirty plus points a game. The cowboys are twenty in the low twenty points per game because they're winning team. They WANNA play great defense to run the football so it's hard to compare them to those high scoring football team so you think we'll see difference. Though <hes> with Keller Moore's the offense coordinator talk about he's GonNa let Dak aired out more. They got more motion before the snap thrown at me right like do do you think they'll open it up and be more productive off. I think they will open it up but you have to give the ball to your best player and he's behind the quarterback. That's Ezekiel Elliott when he gets in camp. He's the best player he's GonNa get another season of three hundred plus touches. He's going to have another season. He's GonNa catch sixty plus balls. He had seventy seven last year. He's a very good receiver. I obviously he's a great great running back. You have to give that man the ball. I don't think that offense changes very much. Here's what I think I think they're underrated all right now. I'm not saying they're the best big three in the league but look Dak Prescott. The athletic just did their story where they pull fifty five executives and coaches that press cots ranked seventeenth among quarterbacks a a tier three.

"They caught up with John kitten hidden and I think this is really interesting because he talked a lot about Dak odd about accuracy and footwork and things like that so that's definitely worth listening to hear our Jason Mimics and Rob Thompson from E._S._p._N.. San Antonio with Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks coach John Back around the blitz. Let's twelve fifty E._S._p._N.. San Antonio Ninety four or five F._M.. With quarterback coach John Kitten and now let's start with the obvious <hes> say about seven months ago your coaching over their hero stadium with these sandiego fleet is there oh see getting ready to play the commanders sanders in that first week and then boom. You're up in Dallas taken that job talk about the transition of you know the alliance to man now the N._f._l.. Is Calling Yeah I was doing something with the lines with San Diego with coach marks and in a system that I was you know super comfortable with and then get this call and have to come here and now you're coaching for the Premier Franchise and all of sports coaching the position of quarterback for the cowboys and your coaching one of the best quarterbacks in this league and two big time responsibility but what God is called me too excited about it coach. I'm curious how you coach differently from the three high schools. You've been that the Alliance League to this coach guys differently because or is it all the same. You just do it a different way. I really feel like to high school level. You're taking kids at our fourteen fifteen years old you. Now in the middle of puberty most of the time now you're dealing with men and grow men that have a lot of pride and our professionals in completely different paradigms you look at it now. You're working with Daqing. We've heard all off season spent a lot of the time working with him on mechanics. Can you Kinda in detail talk about when you hear what you had in what you've been working on this off season. You know I mean this is a lot less about mechanics or just about footwork and make sure everything is in line but I think that's been overblown quite honestly he has a guy. The guy that he goes sees quarterback guy. He and I worked in tandem together. Great Communication Dax graded communicating and dash greatest saint man. I need to work on this today. So you know we just try to find the drills. That's GonNa help him on what he feels is necessary in really well. We're working on more than anything just the rhythm of the concepts that we call and having the right rhythm for whatever we're calling when you talk about rhythm also the rhythm between coaches how what's your relationship with the coach more and how are you translating that onto the field with your kids with your guys now callans great very good set in a direction and for the for the offensive staff often unit in general and then let letting the guys coaster positions and really given us constant feedback. He's just a tremendous organizational and detail leader so <hes> it's been fun. Did you expect the organizational side to be as you describe it yeah because I know you're here or there. You Go Jason so you know I know what kind of kind of how Jason in and that's what he's GonNa hire and so yeah. I expected that John Kitin with us here on E._S._P._N.. San Antonio's you say that you think about how different from a year ago when we were out here at training camp now Keller Moore who was Dax backup is now the offensive offensive coordinator. You're coming in <hes>. Jason Garrett said he's had had a little bit more to do with the offense this off season then maybe the last couple years but how different has it been this year versus even when you're playing for the cowboys and that's completely different you know it's those are not apples to oranges but when you're a player you're not involved in all the you know the nuts and bolts and and you come in and go to meetings and all this stuff is completely different here you're you're..

"The nice thing is that going with the draft. You're looking at basically depth. Yes. Your your star positions pretty much, you can sit down and and set up a starting lineup and with the possible exception of slot receiver. You're really you've got you've got your man in place. And they you know, they've got Cedrick Wilson the rookie last year who was injured in camp and had say out the year on I r he was you know, player yet he could come back and be part of that mix. And this is one place where they may not want to have one guy in the slot. All time there where Kellen Moore might be able to do some really interesting things because Amari Cooper, can be very good in the slot to if you've got good people on the outside who are still functional goes back to what you said, Tom, you have to have some creativity. Some open mindedness. Yes. Who to start getting other things involved on offense? Yeah. You go out and go out with one line up and motion people into a different place. All of a sudden, you thrown that confusion on the other side of the line of scrimmage are trying to. Okay. All right. Who's who's going to cover? Do. We have to make the shift, and maybe you can catch them a little bit off balance which. Yep. That that's something that I'm hoping we're going to see a lot of in the coming season. And you know, now, we just gotta find out they will have to they're going to have to show some more creativity. Because teams have figured them out. They they know how if they take away the run it kind of makes the Cowboys struggling offense. And so the Cowboys definitely have the coaching has to get them. And I think Keller Moore will do this. I think, you know, Kelly Moore and Doug nussmeier in John kit and can come up with ways, especially if they're talking to Dak Prescott. About what he wants would like to do. I think they just have to be a little bit more open minded. And I think that's why Jason geared is doing what he's doing. Now by putting these young guys on his coaching staff and given them heavy doses of of experience doing this. But also he wants to hear from them. He wants to hear from all of his coaches. I think that's a good thing. Going forward for the Cowboys. Yeah. And you know, if it's really. Going to be something that we're probably going to see volving allot especially in preseason. You know, I I hope they experiment with some things and try some different stuff, and you know, throw some stuff out there for other teams to worry about during the regular season. And it's just you've got you know, you've got a lot of youth. Now, not just on the team, which is very young which is very encouraging for the for the you'll season's going forward. But you've got a young coaching staff. Now, really, you know, I mean wars were the youngest offense of coordinators the lead. But that is a path of light that has worked out Sean McVeigh was a very young offensive coordinator. So you know, Garrett was he was a very young it's coordinate. So yeah, I I..

"Is a thank you to all EU masterpiece until those there we'd be doing it all week long. We're doing it right now as well. It's time for the word of the hour. Remember if you get all five letters for this word, Colin Monday, you get that special k and see masterpiece T shirts time for letter number four. Today's letter is C we'll do it again. One more time in the eight o'clock one more in the night and one more on the ten the letter is C R I back to you. Thank you. It's the letter of the day clap clap with three year olds every time. I hear like letters of hour. I think at assessment this segment is brought to you by the letter c. That is Parker hilas could Jesse Hawley the KC masterpiece at a moment here. It's not about what Jerry said it's about what he didn't say. But with more I think it's be interesting is I think we are at fault. It I on Kellen Moore meaning the media because when Kellen Moore initially got the quarterback job quarterback coach job. We're all like what like I think we all looked at it as being just nepotism, right? Like reform of it. Because we Scotland a handsome guy we thought what does this guy done to deserve that job? And so I think what happened was. We started that narrative the media did. And then when the season starts index not playing real great. He just became an easy target for everybody. It's like you weren't was everybody on talk radio in the media talking about how bad he was. And why should have been hired. Why did they hire this guy in the first place? And so I think that completely skewed the narrative Kellen more from the start. I think the more we talk to people. I mean, Brian broadest said this the whole time every everybody's talking to in that locker room just raves about him. You go back and look at draft coverage twenty twelve and Kelly Moore was there people were talking about. This guy's a future. Coach even in two thousand seventeen Daniel Jeremiah longtime NFL network guy, tweeting the many this guy is going to be a brilliant head coach someday. So as the season starts to move along it goes away from that errative, and you start to see that this guy like he's got something. And there's there's a reason why he's ascended so quickly up the coaching ladder that there's there's legitimate reasoning and rationale for it yet people still fans to look and be like he hasn't accomplished anything in his. Career. He's he's a nobody. Why is why is he now? And I think the Cowboys their history with coaches in recent history suggests they don't have much credibility in that front. So I think there's there's a reluctance. But look this guy comes Chris Peterson at Boise state is a brilliant off its mind. Scotland Eoghan is a major influence on urban Meyer. Right. So Scotland had as much of a joke because he's become has some credibility in terms of what he's done for offense a football. So I mean you start to look at his influences. And all of a sudden now starts to make sense. This guy could be a major asset for this team. I'm well. I want to say this little toot my own horn because I've been saying all year long people kept coming to the fantastic. So my Twitter or in person saying Kelly Moore needs to go. He's a terrible. And I said I kept saying wish to calls the post game show about all said, no one is more prepared for football game than Keller more, no one. No one is more preparing for football game and Keller more he has he's given all the information he needs. Now that does what? But no one was more prepared for football game. Kellen Moore here is the biggest problem, we're prejudice. People media fans are prejudice. You looked at Kelham more. And you looked at as right? See the Senate God Frank, right? Like Jason Garrett who played in the NFL guys like, you know, Herm Edwards. And if you don't have a huge cachet to your name. And it was a social media back. There was some of these coaches were playing in their hey days, they were backups or scrubs, or whatever you wanna call them. But because we have access to Google and YouTube, there's a huge prejudice. Whether you want to admit it or not simply by the way that Keller more looks. You look on the football fan, you go who is this twerk who is this little guy out here trying to play quarterback. Boy is he terrible. And that's the only that's the only looked at people have ever had in their minds ingrained burned into the minds of Callan more. And they've never give him any room for growth. They never give him any rural. And to say, you know, what? Yeah. He might have been small in stature, and yeah, he might have not been the greatest quarterback of all time. But maybe he does have a level of intellect that. We've never seen before. Maybe he does have a way or or has some sort of ingenuity what he can. Go and take these plays and do all this kind of stuff, and that's the that's the problem that has been a huge prejudice. Because we never saw right people. Never saw some evade receive right maumee Ohio Bill even though he played receiver at Miami, Ohio. I guarantee you people even know he played receiver at Miami of Ohio. They didn't know what the other guys looked like from the coaching ranks. But because you have you you've had this picture ingrained in your mind of Keller. Moore was as an NFL player. You think there's no way he can be smart enough to run the football team. So I like the direction they're heading simply because I think there's a lot of potential with Kelly Moore. Now, there are a lot of questions in terms of you know, again, if it's his offense but somebody else calling plays then I'm not as optimistic. I I'm of the belief like how how many years is this for for some been head coach. This is your to right, right. This is year to and he's finding yourself in the Super Bowl today or yesterday as his thirty third birthday four thirty four thirty four th birthday, pretty third. He's not gonna me do. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I know. It's it's so one thing is like, okay. Why why didn't he get the same criticism? Why people say there's no way he can do that. Now, everyone is saying, hey, if you sniff some vase fart, I want to hire you. Why why doesn't tell him more? And I must say he sniffed, Sean, McVay sports. Right. I'm not saying, I don't know. What Calle Moore's right? I don't know. We didn't know what was going to be. I don't I do not know what they're going to be as or or or potential head coach, Sean McVeigh was whoever it was. I don't know. But why isn't he given the same type of room to grow or fail? Other guys are giddy. That's because there's a prejudice. There's a legit realistic and fans, if you're listening be honest, look yourself in the mirror and get outta. I was just self and say, why do I not like Callan more? Why what? What you don't know anything about him? All you have. College career. He was one of the cows quarterbacks in the history of the national. Win games. He comes from with Chris Perez who is one of the top play call in in scheme designers in the college football. But there's a prejudiced that's been put on more simply because of what he looks like. Now, here's the thing. You don't have to believe any of this. Right. Like, you can say I don't care what people are saying about killing more. I don't like it. And I I hate it. Well, there's good news. Even if you're not even if you're not buying okay? There's there's good news. Even if you're not buying it. So Jerry Jones spoke with the media earlier this week at the senior bowl in mobile, and he was asked could Jason Garrett have a bigger role in the offense. Jason.

"How young he is? You got a huge bargain on his first contract. So something like five years one hundred and fifty million Prescott numbers this year. We're pretty much average across the board. He was fifteenth in passing yards, tenth and completion percentage. Sixteenth in touchdown passes fourteenth in passer rating. He wasn't top ten and anything except plays made with his legs as rushing quarterback. He's young enough though, where I believe you can take those numbers and feel like next year. Down the road. He'll only get better. As far as young quarterbacks go, he's not as good as Mahomes. He's not he's not as good as to Shawn Watson. He's not as good. As Carson Wentz. He's not as good as Jared Goff. He's probably not as good as Baker Mayfield might be six among quarterbacks twenty five and under. But that's you still pay that guy if you're the Cowboys, but I would want next year. So that number is gonna make seven hundred K, let's say you spread out the contract in a way where his cap next year's like thirteen fourteen million dollars that would still give you enough room to surround him with really really good players in next year. Would be the year. I think where the Cowboys got aggressive in the trademark it again in free agency to give Prescott the best chance to win the Super Bowl before he needs to carry the team once he gets to twenty five to thirty million dollars. He needs to be the reason why they win games right now. He doesn't have to be that guy because of his because Zeke Elliot and because of where their defenses at. So I'd continue to surround him with the best players and then next year. There's no excuse. And then after that it'll be twenty seven years old twenty eight years old. And then it's going to be on him the same way the Seahawks had to evolve at first it was about marshawn Lynch and the defense. Now, it's about Russell Wilson. Cowboys season ends last night. Was it a successful season? Should Jason Garrett be back next year? Do you believe the Cowboys are a step closer to winning a championship? Are they almost there? Eight five five two one two four CBS. That's eight five five two one two four two two seven. I'm Andrew fillipponi. The show is called the pony express. Here's Jimmy in Florida. Jimmy, you're on CBS sports radio. Thanks, taking my call. I I completely agree with you about the Sean Lee, we owe it to engage him on the field type thing, and we shouldn't have done that wouldn't western working. I've been a Cowboys fan to nineteen seventy seven. I would say this season was in between the success in the. I don't want to say sell because it was we got two games into the playoffs. But I do think I'd get facing one more year. I would fire office coordinator immediately and quarterback coach because Keller Moore's the boys stay quarterback. And you're talking about. Yup. Having a plane experienced a to twenty five year old kid how to manage a game. If that makes. He hasn't played enough to teach. You know what I mean? No, I do I get that. I think is very inaccurate would've passed the gel wide open. Could have been a big. Up got a bright future. I think Kobe's we being injured last night really hurt us or could not stop the run your own reincarnated running all over. I bring in Earl Thomas to give us out that one more leader on the defensive side of the ball. Yeah. That's that's a good call. I like that. I like the last comment. I said they need a playmaker in the secondary. That would be the guy we know how much affection Earl Thomas has for the Cowboys. I like that point a lot. I think a lot of that. Sounds sounds right to me. Maybe you said at the quarterback coach being a friend at somebody with a little more experience. I could co sign that. I would not. I would not change the offensive coordinator. I would keep a hand. But he would be on a very short leash. And I would hire somebody who I thought had the background or maybe had the potential to be an offensive coordinator. And that guy would be on the staff going into next year. Maybe he's a quarterback coach, maybe he's a consultant and he's got a chance to take the job away from one hand if the Cowboys offense struggles out of the box. Prescott was tempted completion percentage this year. He misses throws. I don't think he's. He's not like is that like a Lamar Jackson where I wonder if he's ever going to be. Inaccurate passer. Jason's on CBS sports radio. Hi, jason. How you doing today, sir? Is a huge saying you can't really keep applying a band aid. But I realize it is their best option because QB's on sale right now kind of hard to define last night. You know, Garrett coaches potentially called delay McVeigh's blocks when four key situation discredit douse for winning the division was kinda weak this year, Alex Smith with the Redskins. They were on fire, but you did mention. That they shut down told him to ten points shutdown. Seattle's always question. No. It was happen. You know, and at the time nobody was talking about it. It wasn't mentioned in Garrett. Fired or dykes clay, you know, or even Jerry Fumio owner, you know, you had one job which was to stop the run. I mean other than the big play to Gallup last night the score close. I just seen it the stats were a whole lot different. You know, I I just at the second half of the season. The honestly I just thought that the teams that they played were kind of below five hundred not very good at running the ball. So it they they beat the eagles twice. They be. They beat the Seahawks and they beat the saints in the second half of the season. That's four of their eight wins after the Cooper trade. That's pretty good. That's pretty good now. So they were an imperfect team. They were three and five, and I don't I didn't think at three and five they were way below expectations. I thought this Cowboys team this year. Like, the low end of what they could do was maybe like seven and nine in the high end was like eleven and five and so they almost got to eleven wins. They finished with ten. They caught a bit of a they they definitely caught a break with the Alex Smith injury. But the Alex Smith injury had nothing to do with them sweeping the eagles. So. I give the Cowboys like a B plus on the season. And I think the head coach who who's resume is short on playoff wins did enough this year to earn another year. But there are some things next season. The Cowboys given a year of experience under their belts are one of the youngest teams in football average age is twenty five next year. There have to be big expectations. And it's not just NFC east title. It's multiple playoff wins. That's the kind of roster. They need to construct in the off season. They bring Lawrence back. They bring Prescott back on new contracts. And I liked what the caller said before you find somebody like real Thomas. That makes a lot of sense to me if he can get healthy Linda's Jacksonville seasons. She's on CBS sports radio. Hi, linda. Thank you. How are you? I'm well. Thank you. I listen to a lot of sports radio. And you completely laid is entire analysis last night's game the Cowboys season in their future. And I hate the Cowboys. But your analysis is spot on. I feel like it should not be fired. Absolutely not. He had a great season as much as I hate them. They had a great season every time they banned. It made me cringe. Lenny. No, I don't feel. I got the chemistry offense which required for them to go any further. I wouldn't watch him or six games. An watching the preseason awful. Somebody on tap. That because it felt like it just never settled, man. Yeah. I think this is what happened and thanks, Linda. I think this is why I'm going to give Lenihan the benefit of the doubt. They went into this season knowing that they had no weapons in the passing game. So they built an offense and they came into the year. I think with an offensive philosophy that was based on that. We don't have desk Brian anymore. Not that he was an elite receiver anymore. We didn't have desk. Bryant we we lost Jason Witten. You know, we sign Allen Hearns to be our number one wide receiver. It was a group without playmakers in so given the offensive line and the running back I think they just wanted to run a prehistoric offense this year. Now, they make the Amari Cooper trade. He helped but one man was not enough to open up their offense that that needs to happen next year now because galaxy year older Cooper will have a full offseason with the team. You get your offensive line. Healthy Prescott got another year of experience next year. If the Cowboys are a conservative offense in ultra conservative offense to start the year, the offensive coordinator has to go and that needs to be he's got to spend the entire spring and summer. Jerry Jones needs to make that clear to Scotland a handwriting Garrett because Garretson offensive coach do they both need to know this next year. We're not going to try to win games sixteen to ten. We've got a really good defense. But we need to open up things offensively, and it's up to Jerry Jones to get more players to allow for that. But they're young. They've got a franchise quarterback. And I think despite the two hundred seventy three rushing yards allowed last night. I think the Cowboys defense is on the up and up. So it was not a discouraging game. And an absolutely not a discouraging season. If I'm a Cowboys fan. And I'm not thrilled that Jason Garrett is back because I don't look at him as one of the best coaches in the NFL. But I also don't think he's the worst. And I don't think you should get fired for a season where you win the division and win a playoff game. Okay. Coming up. I need to tell you guys. Why today? Is one of the best days of my life. Now like didn't find out my wife is pregnant. I'm not having a kid. It's not getting a big raise didn't buy a new car. Today's one of the best days of.

"Three the defense again saved up through three quarters, again, they they did surrender seventeen points in that fourth quarter, which was uncharacteristic of them. Just but for the most part with mistakes just compounding each other for the offense in this first half and really through three quarters. The defense saved them. They've been doing that all season long and. Look at it did last week to the saints held the ten points and even tonight. As good as that defense. Is you can you can only hill the dam from breaking for so long, and they'll get they got tired tonight, and they gave up some place. But the thing that Jalen Smith said kinda to earlier when they asked him, you know, about the win and they said now, we're playing for each other. Yes, we're playing for those families, and that's so critical. It's so key because each one of these guys, and I was talking about before Jason Garrett came on early in his press conference talking about the difference between having a locker room full of guys who are under thirty. They all have common themes. They all like the same things. They all want to do the same things and play the same games got the same places. And so these guys are around each other more, it's not like when you have a portion of your locker room who's thirty plus with Weiqing kids, and you have these other guys at the bottom who are twenty five for. Twenty four and they want to go to the club. Now, how how these guys mesh how do they mold together when they don't even like the same things. Yes football. We have in common. But just think about how part of the same generation think about how much stronger Abbad is built one. You're spending more time off the field doing things together that you joy doing. And that's what I hear. I I've been to several events with jailer Smith was there, and he had a team in the two you heard and come out here and talk about how will we had one guy though the post game, and it here come three more guy through the post game with them. And you see guys doing this? Oh, oh, Dako. Talking about his guy that he brought to the game. He said well Zeki opening and gave him a clean as well. All of these guys are intermingling with each other. There isn't this divide in age and likeness because they're young and they're together. And I think that is paying dividends on the football field on the practice field. What they're comradery eight seven. Seven eight eight one one zero five three eight seven seven eight eight one one zero five three j in Wylie. Go ahead. Jay, you're on the Dallas Cowboys radio network. Thanks for taking my call. Appreciate it. Things. I just wanted to call in. Back Prescott play. We noticed over the past several weeks. He's been playing, of course, he's been doing better. That's great. He's putting the ball on the ground missing throws, especially on certain occasions. My biggest concern is when killing more came on as quarterbacks coach, I didn't particularly like that. I'm really not wonders gas on anybody's call Jesse. That'd be more up your ally. Which is kinda why called what you believe is killing more qualification anything European. I don't see anything gets done weight from weight from there. Listen, I appreciate it. Thanks for the call, man. I I appreciate that. I think the greatest. The greatest asset that Keller more brings to the table is is his readiness. His preparedness of how to scout a defense how to break down defense. What are you looking for? I don't think Keller. Moore is a dude who's heavy all mechanics or or things of that nature, but sitting down with the playbook sitting down watching film. I think young quarterbacks need that kind of kind of guidance from a veteran quarterback to say, hey, this right here where they bring this look, here's where the read is. Here's what that really. So allow him people don't like Kelly because of his stature because he didn't do much of the National Football League. And I just want to just want to remind people of this. As listen. I was scrubbed the National Football League. I was a course bustle teams guy, and one of the things that I had to know had to know everything I I wasn't afforded the opportunity to learn one thing or two I had to learn all positions. I had to know all of everything was that way. He does kind of guys make the best coaches. You know, what Brett farve isn't coaching quarterbacks because you can't teach him the do what Brett farve. Did. You know what Michael Jordan wouldn't make a good coach? 'cause when you say just go fly. No, Michael, everyone can't fly surveys isn't a receiver coach because this guys like like Jesse hollies, right? Who had the ever Jason Garrett who had to learn everything about the position. So now, I'm able to teach it better because I had to learn at a different pace than a guy like this bright or Julio Jones who were afforded the ability to be the superstar and not have to worry about all the little nuances of the football game. By the way, speaking of Kellen more deck Prescott passes in this game for four hundred and fifty five yards. It's the first time. Dallas Cowboys quarterback has a four hundred yard passing game since Kelly Moore week seventeen to twenty fifteen when the Cowboys. Lost to the Redskins thirty four twenty three more in that game four hundred thirty five yards past four hundred thirty five yards passing. So it's the first time. A cub boys quarterback has passed for four hundred yards. Kelly board. Did it? Didn't win the game. No. But four hundred yards past about that. All right. We'll give you the player of the game. Our final thoughts all coming.
