"Life is not safe. Freedom is not safe for the sake of freedom years and maine together both freedoms being of equal value. I will cheerfully risk much else. Besides it's the summertime. No summertime is the term of the battle of britain. The part of the story that moves me. Most of all has chacho in oxbridge in the operations room of number eleven group tasked with defending london southeast. East sky above them is thick with fighter. Planes and bombers chacho asks ear vice marshal keith. Park reserves pilots has backup ready to take the place of those already committed. Every aircraft we have is in the air now said park. There is no reserve spitfires and hurricanes piloted by maine and also by boys not long at school. They're asked everything for freedom. Main yours the last fool. Measure of devotion. I cannot be sure by. Don't think they fought and died so a government might seize and hold freedom like deck of cards dealing them haute one by one to those deemed deserving. I think they fought for unconditional freedom for each man woman and child. That's what i think. I've been reading about people calling other people who have chosen not to take the vaccine play 'grats of read about people calling for those plea rats to be rounded up and locked out of sate. There's another battle of britain being fought. Now it's being fought by minority gun and shouted domain by those who had said freedom handed to them by. Mp's on condition that they do as they are told. That's not freedom not as tyranny. And i for one will not live that euch as i have done all my life. I salute the few hope to see you on the site. And we'll see if men lie. Kim and i get arrested for saying things that are unpopular and it seems that there's a a real risk of that. I'm i'm not really personally concerned yet. in the us. And i do think we're gonna win this but obviously political prognostications being what they are minor is subject to being wrong as anyone's right and he makes a really good point that i always point to for a lot of the reason why this stuff is happening is he grew up in age where world war two very close in people's minds where people literally as he said fought and died for freedom of the world. There hasn't been a unifying world event around the cause of freedom to oppose something so terrible since world war. I think that's right calling. I think that the vietnam war even though it was not the you know didn't produce the result people wanted and all that i think people still understood we were fighting global communism and the cold war also. Was you know a fight against global communism. It's it's almost as though since the old soviet union the chinese have been such a so much better marketers that the world has lost sight of the fact that we literally must protect freedom. Exact at all costs because they've entertained the idea that i mean there are people who actually entertain the idea that the chinese are free because they are free to enterprise the free to own businesses. They're free to do a lot of things. And so people maintain the idea that the chinese really are are free within a certain set of different restrictions. And obviously that's a false idea. And that's what i was getting to a lot of people who are my age that kind of gen z. Millennials didn't grow up saying a lot of this stuff seeing a lot of going back in history because it wasn't really taught in schools all that much besides just past history that we already fought and ended. People didn't see what people give up for freedom. There hasn't percentage of people that have serving the military's way lower. Your chances of knowing a classmate who served are substantially lower than they used to be. Yeah so that. Should that changes things. You're on people's contact with the military and its mission and the risk people take is also out of sight now exactly people are starting to not see what the actual price of freedom is and not appreciate what brings and they think of it as this dirty word of capitalism is a dirty word freedom democracy are dirty wars and are under attack and i think that's why the democrats pushing so hard on january six because they're trying to use this as a big uniting for standing up for freedom thing for their party well i think they're using it to okay. I'm i'm not sure about that. I think they're using it as a as a cudgel to try and diminish the because what they know is this. They know that they've been that they lose the argument with people your age when the argument is had yeah and so rather than actually have the argument. They're trying to preempt the argument by painting all conservatives as racists and bigots and terrorists so that before anyone would hear the argument. They've decided i'm not interesting. What those people have to say those people being the key right. Yeah and that's what i'm using. That's why i'm using january. Sixth pillar for that is. It's the racist big attack the capital and attacked our freedom and our democracy. And that's why the unifying it over freedom democracy for their party and the young people seeing it who don't want to have that discussion with people who are not open to free and just conversation right. Let's get this out. Cates clip going here. Matt gaetz is basically saying that The federal government. He doesn't come out and say it but he's asking the question. What part of the federal government was behind this but access to exculpatory. Evidence could show interesting things that could show that there was a difference between those who believed they were being part of a fully peaceful endeavor in those who might have been animating violence and the fourteen thousand hours of tape could also show us who was animating that violence whether they were connected in any way directed anyway by federal agencies it raises great suspicion that we're unable to get access to this information as members of congress it raises even more suspicion that people deprived of their liberty right now in the absence of any conviction cannot get that information now. It would seem to me that if you were a person who was arrested in the capital riots that you would have under. Discovery rights the ability to acquire any video that the government has a and they're being denied the opportunity. This fourteen thousand hours of video that the government has is is not being allowed to be let out now. There was some video that came out over the weekend. And i'm i'm i debated played on the show. I'm not going to because Partly because. I'm not certain that it hasn't been manipulated..

We actually have volunteers who have raised her hand and said, I want to be a part of providing accurate up to date information. So we owe a ton of gratitude to those folks who have helped make that happen, and they do a great job. Are very successful with that, and we see a lot of traffic to it. Certainly so and I you had me sold when you said with the snow tubing. There's a carpet conveyor belt bringing you back up to the top of the hill. The worst part is taking that to back up, so there's already someone that does that for you or something. Yeah, I haven't tried that particular one yet. But you? Yeah, they had me at magic carpet. I had no idea who was sitting across from me almost over, But it wasn't my husband. He he goes just to a stage where he gets this look in his eyes and the shutters were down, and I just couldn't get through to him. And he'd you said I've come to a decision. Sharon, you've got to die. Sharon added. He was very calm and suddenly he lunged across with me and dived on me and started to choke me. He got me down on the ground on top of my head, and he was on top of me and feeling for stuff on the table, and I felt the panic button and I pressed the panic button. And the cops showed up. So she was. She was of where that something like this might happen. And she had a panic button, which some of the police that's kind of weird, AAA Z admitted. That, he said. It wasn't one of my greatest achievements. I don't know what he means by that that he was unable to actually kill her or that he tried to kill her. Hey said, And he says, I don't remember it other than I had. I remember feeling very peaceful. And for some reason, I thought Sharon had to die. But they're still together. They're still together and happy and kids. Don't do drugs. No. David and Victoria Beckham. Be together a long time now. Haven't think. Well, I guess so. On Monday, Trump used the press conference to deliver of Syriza scathing criticisms against Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden on the conclusion of his remarks. He opened up for some questions, and he said to a reporter, You're going to have to take that mask off, please. You could take it off. How many feet are you away? Take it off. The reporter said. I'll speak louder that Donald Trump said. Well, if you don't take it off, I mean, you're very muffled. So would you take it off? It would just be a lot easier. And then, the reporter said, Well, I'll speak louder and he did. And Trump said, Okay, that's better. But the star and rule The worst part was a couple questions later, there was a reporter with the Mask off. Is this in your story, Bill? And Trump said, Oh, good. See, fine. See, this guy has his mask off and he's just fine. And everything's fine with his mask. Oh, great. Actually humble, I think much more humble than you would understand. "Yahoo dot com in back you Curtis who you send the twenty-seven Yankees. Were. You said no twenty-seven Yankees were hitting ball club. One of the great hitting ball clubs of all time. They don't have Babe Ruth. And Lou Gehrig is prospects on this team. The pitching may be better than thirty three cents. Pretty good staff to that was that may a greatest ballclub ever. But no, you're not just because pitching is. Well, we said that I'm prospects, but their prospects basically pitchers does Cameron. He's going to be fine. Robson the he's going to be okay. But basically they're pitching is going to be would carries them. I thought again he gave a poor runs in five innings. He wasn't that sharp. But that was an average start. I would say for him. But that first game was outstanding. I'm talking about. Left of the pitch the other day here pitch that he? I thought Norris. I thought he did. Okay. They let that game get away. And then lost and worse heading and Embry. You had a brain cramp. In Los have game a lot worse than they did. Then every chance to win it. And they did not do it. Another twelve strikeouts. Tigers strikeouts. And I was so impressed with the tie veal and everybody talking about in this off season during spring training. We're going to work on to strike approaches. We're going to work on this. We're going to work on this. Well, hasn't gone through yet hasn't gotten through. But they're not. It's not coming up. It was good. I know it's one thing to say, but I'll say. Lady leadoff hitter. In the worst way your best leadoff hitter. Finally got a walk for the first time. I think it was I wasn't it. Sure. On the Senate field Jacoby Jones. I believe it was this. I well that's not going to say if the stamps Tigers stance he got to walk yesterday. That was good to see you know, homerun yesterday that was real good to see. Well, what are we got this year? One walk thirteen strikeouts. One walk, but he did it home run yesterday. And that was good to see his swinging better. He's not striking out that much. Thirteen and forty five is not good but slot better than it was last year. So we'll see what that goes to the end of the year. How bad was that? Josh Harrison was supposed to be their leadoff hitter. Can't even get a bunt. Right. I told you all along the Tigers Nina leadoff hitter. In the worst way. He is not a leadoff. He doesn't run. Well enough to be leadoff hitter. He doesn't hit what? Enough to be a leadoff hitter. Doesn't walk. Good enough to be a leadoff hitter. Your leadoff it. You've got to make the pitchers. Not just for you. But show the second in the lineup. What's he throwing? That's like Eddie ios anywhere ten twelve pitches. Each bet you knew sister the game you to pitch on the other team and. Yeah. Harrison is swinging better now but he's not leadoff hitter. But they don't have one. They don't have a leadoff hitter. They have nobody even coming close. Probably the closest thing to lead off it because he's got a few things. His candelaria. Probably. He's got a few walk. So that would but he's still swings. Some awful pitches sometimes up there as well. Do we have the ones that scoring mardi nauseate me? Scoreboard today scoreboard. And we've got to I want to hockey score to Dallas Saint Louis. Dallas three one. Let's give the baseball scores. In the bottom of the eighth. Telling him in Baltimore, they're playing. They're terrible. Lease von were five to two. They're going to run away with division in my on the Cleveland splaying better lately. Oakland that Toronto Toronto leads six two one and the bottom the six and the top of the fourth in Houston. And they've got to three hundred thirty nobody out. Houston has one nothing lead. But Cleveland has to on person third nobody out. So the Yankees lead San Francisco and the top one nothing San Diego is Washington in Washington. The middle of the fourth the four to nothing. And. Tampa Bay over in the top of the fourth and Boston, they lead the brew Bruins. They lead the Red Sox one nothing and Tempus got first and second nobody else, and they're threatening to blow that away not blow it away. But getting more runs and Saint Louis at home beat Cincinnati six to three. When we have here now. When he got no, more and hockey. I wanted score was last time. I heard it was three to one. Dallas over Saint Louis trying to tie the series at one I picked Saint Louis to win the Cup. They need to win this game. All right now, it's three two. Thirteen twenty five left in the third period. Saint Louis C says one game to nothing lead game. Tonight's columbus. Boston too. And the NBA. Thanks, cool. Well, some of the L A would extend that to seven but going to beat them less LA to win it in the south and the game tonight. Of course is. San Antonio and Denver. Yes, Antonio Denver. And that's series is tied at three. And Philadelphia at Toronto. Came on. Yeah. That's game one of the series. Yeah. Put those up there. They've got to do that. They don't do it. Okay. Folks. We're open line love to hear from you. Eight hundred nine two three nine three eight five or Email Cameron sports draft dot com. What you got from Alex Kalamazoo? How could the lions pass on at Oliver Hopkinson as bad at all? But could you imagine a defensive line of defensive line of hand flowers snacks and Oliver that BA fearsome great, but I agree with I agree with the draft pick of that one. Maybe not the second one. But I agree with that one. They need another weapon they need a receiver. But they also need a block. He's he's a best tight end out there and blocking and receiving and it's very athletic. I don't wanna put him in bronchoscopy category. But he he's not that far off potential is. And I think that was a good move, Alex. You the same guy that thinks and I disagree with you on the front of disagree with again now. Blaming Drummon for going out and guarding the center, and we sit in the three points. That's not drumming job. They have nobody on Griffin should go out of got the energy. He should go out the block to shop deferment little bit scarred him, not lead him wide open. 'cause under the basket. Griffin gives you nothing. It doesn't give you rebounding. He doesn't give shot-blocking does give defense. Now, not the dramas great defensive players. Blow average, but he's a good shot. Blocker is a better shot blocker now and he's been his crew and he's one of the top two or three rebounds in the NBA. He he tried to go Drummond coming out and drummer didn't fall for it. And I give credit for that. Yeah. You can question his attitude sometime laziness a little bit in that smirk. He's got on his face a lot. And that smile, that's useless when they're losing. But you can't go out and guard that Lopa you can't do that. That's not his job. He's got to stand on the hoop Lopez. Once they think, maybe I can go to drum didn't fall for that. So I disagree with you on that, Alex as well while Drummond, you know, he and his career he's been old against brook Lopez for some reason for some reason, Brooke Lopez's always in his head. So it's like Andre Drummond. He's a very talented center. But at the same time, he has these mental blocks if you just go out, and what you you put Griffin out there on them. Because he does nothing of the women's useless onto the basket. I do have to say about Blake Griffin though, he had twenty two five and six on one bad leg. Just imagine. That that's a lot of heart during the years two good legs. They couldn't win with them. What about now may hold on? Let me come back LA. He had two good legs. In LA got hurt a little bit. And he couldn't him and Paul couldn't take that team soon as he signs the contract goes in the tank, but they're lucky to find a sucker. Like the pisses state that contract you're not gonna win in the NBA with him doing what he's doing out there. He's if they need they don't stop guys from going to the whole Drummond kin a little bit stop, the guys the bunker shot and the rebound, but nobody else rebounds out there. Nobody else rebound for the people think Drummond should go. I understand what you're saying. No. Because he's the best. They got rebounding and shot blocking and Griffin doesn't do that. Now. Does he want to do that? And I'm not I'm not a big Griffin fan. And I don't think you can win with him when all with that. And they have what LA start going well soon as he got traded, and they'd be they were supposed to listen it started the year the pistons were picked to win forty four games. I had a forty five. And they picked LA because the lack of talent to win forty games. And in a better conference LA goes to forty eight wins and was two games against golden statement. And where does Griffin distinct, he's not a leader? Spike. The media say he is not a leader. And what I'm talking about that because he can't lead. He's like the vine leading the blind file point. It just takes it takes a lot of heart though. Just go out there to win one game on one bad lay shooting twenty two five and six fifty. I don't wanna get that crap. That's on one. Sorry. Just takes a lot of heart. Gotta say not defense will be takes. Why does he play defense? He won't reduces too. And that's why they're gets a minus player most of the time because you won't even try to guard anybody not his his man at all. Don't stand there with your hands the side when guys drive the whole you're not doing anything to stop them at all. He held great free Sullivan points in game free, hold anybody. Anything? Greek freak not because crystalline heck, no not at all. Because of Griffin. He doesn't guard anybody he had a bad game in and game three who won the game. So let's not go there. The Greek freak one was terrible agree Blake Griffen. He's Michael Jackson for bunch of Tito's onto team. Basically that bad Michael Jackson. He put him Michael Jackson's category. Not the Michael Jackson's any shrinking violet too. So. No, he's not in bars concern, he's not a winner at all. He's not a win number one. He's never won. He tell why got excuses air to he couldn't win in LA. Let's get back to the phones. Oh, man. We got calls coming on crazy. Let's go to let's go to Keith park. Hey, keith. Time. How you've been doing a little better now. Okay. Good. I'm glad to hear that. I haven't talked to you. Since is Jim. I just wanted to get your thoughts on that. Terrible move. Really? Yeah. I think you should replace Hanin after howling winds a couple of cups this Holland's team out there. What's going to happen? He's gave him a bunch of cap money to work with dr- draft choice issue which never had before livestream did. And a team that two or three years on the Cup and is gonna get the credit. He doesn't have to sit there. That's not right in my opinion. Not right. They're keeping their keeping him any orth. Organization. They're keeping. But he had the Dallas not wrong. The Dallas job. He had the Vegas job in his pocket. But he was too loyalty. Trading stayed in Detroit and matures after never even talked to Edmonton. And they want him in Seattle didn't even talk to him. Maybe he thinks it's the best thing. But I don't I don't agree myself. But I think the reason he didn't take a couple of those jobs. He didn't want to rehab. I run a full rehab full rebuild again that that new teams going to have to have because they're not going to get the same deal from the NHL. They're going to get a good deal show as Vegas did. So in my opinion, he's a gentleman team. You should still be the general manager. And I love is in these treated me great. I'd like to see him replaced. Holland three or four years now retired. But he's he can't take the credit. They win the come. He can't take the credit at all. Do you think that when all this went that story? The media says is that our ties and said, you should do it. I mean that, you know, talk to Kenny lately. So I don't know. But I know he wanted to be general Mansur. Now, this is what I'm maybe things changed. I don't know. But. I just think he deserve a lot of credit for this team is going to go through right now. Iran hook it the credit anyway. I don't think he will. That's. Yeah. I don't think you'll be surprised. I think that he will cause is type a guy that will come out greeting Kenny deserts. Yeah. She'll kill himself. We'll give Kennedy credit their sleds. I don't and they're both great people to love. But you know, this is not a criticize. And they should they were picked to win the Cup three straight times. And they didn't go to the finals years at all that you didn't go the first round this year. In tampa. That's not his fault. But that goes with the territory, he the best talent the league this year and the best record in the league this year, and they could go to the finals, and they couldn't get out around one. So you kind of wonder about that. But is when I thought did a great job there and Tampa. I think he's gonna talk with shirts. Win the long long run by right away to keep. Thank you. Thank you have a great day. You have a good one too many. Thanks. Let's go to Larry in Berkeley, what's up Larry? Hi, I'm here. Hey, we're on a couple of things I was very very two issues. I wanted sure. Over with user. Drubbing related look totally out of sorts in last sad. Or whether the whole thing just everything that the fact that he that he didn't come out on that come out..

"I can't tell you how much William Butler Yeats had an effect on my life. My father was a poet and writer and died. Really, right. When I turned eight, but he expressed that to me, I have all these books. I knew how important it was to its thrill for me to be here and sly go and be sitting with Damian Brennan, and you've got to check them out at the experience, and we're gonna give you the address and all that kind of stuff. But thank you so much for joining us into the lovely talk. We had here just moments ago, and you're fantastic. Poetry reading of some of his poems. It's fun to have a passion for your county and fear fear face. And then to have that matched with work words, and to have to be able to bring the two together to people who may never heard V8.'s, many of your listeners of her too. Why not? Know ranks there. "Welcome thanks for coming this morning. Thank you for inviting me. Well, I'm glad to have you. This is something that not everyone listening will know the term a a few of the things we're gonna talk about. So I wanna make sure we get them set for the folks the first one I said in the introduction. There's a Sigler see think of Puget Sound once you expand on that both physically and what it means by definition. Right. Sure. So I think most of us referred to the. The waters outside of you know, that are marine waters as Puget Sound whether they're north or down by other beer in the San Juans, but actually in a few years ago. The whole water body was changed. The name was changed the Salish sea. So it includes all of the Canadian waters of the strait of Georgia strait of Wanda few by port Angeles to me obey around the sound lines. And then all the way into Puget Sound down into the different meandering waterways of the south sound near Olympia. So it's one shared inland sea. Where the, you know, there's an international boundary that goes through there. But the water doesn't realize there's a down very wildlife. Doesn't realize there's a boundary, and so it's really being treated more holistically than it had before. Well, that's a good point that the the fish and wildlife, they don't they don't notice where lines are drawn on a map. Yeah. So I guess if we picked your a map of Washington, but include the San Juan islands and then couvert island, right? The water on the inside passage there. And then the straight out one a few the strait of Georgia all the way down all the way down to Olympia. That's cool. The sailor sea. And you guys you're into protecting this in preserving and teaching more about it through Washington state university. So this is another thing. I bet a lot of people don't stop and realize it over here in western Washington w has an extension program. You want to discuss what that is about here before we take off a little more. Yes. It's actually a really well kept secret. Even for people who are WS, you alumni every public college in the nation when it was established got some kind of designation. So Washington state university was designated as the land grant college, and there's a land grant college in every state in the nation and the job of the land grants extension is to take those academic resources from the campus community and to bring it out into all of our local communities and have that information be practical and applied and supportive to the needs that we have. And so in almost every county extent in the county. There is an extension office. Throughout the nation. And it's pretty interesting way of sharing information out in a really great resource programs in there that are well known like four H master gardeners and some that are lesser smell known. Yeah. That's pretty cool. So folks in listening here. Yeah. Can take an extension program through W S U and like you say a four H youth development home and garden as well as then there's natural resources which can wear your your program lies. Right. The beach watchers what are the other? We'll get to the beach watchers much more specifically here today, but what are some of the other natural resources programs one of the longstanding programs that we've had in. This is regional is a forest landowner assistance program. So we have a regional forester who does does coach planning classes and provides a lot of information to folks that have forced lands that could be as small as a half an acre. Or to hundreds of acres, so that they can manage their property for whatever values they have which isn't always profit it can be wildlife for privacy. And so it's a program that has been around for a long time, and it's very kind of research based another program that we have that is. It's only in Snohomish county is called sustainable community stewards. And this is a program where people get come in. They get about thirty five to forty hours of training on weeknights. And they learn everything there is about climate change recycling and those practices about the practices that relate to how we can reduce our carbon footprint and to me after that training. They commit to volley, volunteering as educators. The for example on February third. We have a repair cafe which volunteers are organizing and people can come in and bring their broken stuff for free and get it repaired by these specialists or fixers that are, you know, really into just keeping things out the landfill. So I can get an old toaster fixed that I thought I'd just otherwise heave into the landfill. Somebody might say, you know, that can be fixed by doing this on this. They will actually fix it for you. If they can if you bring the parts, they don't just tell you. This is our second year of doing. It and repair cafes are nationwide international trends, and they're happening in many communities. Not just by our office. I liked that repair. Cafe. Repair. Cafe if you look it up, you'll find them. Ours are offered an average that they're throughout King County. There's I know in some communities, they they're they seem to be popping up all over and they're typically free, and you walkaway hopefully with something that's repaired. And there's you have to sign a waiver when you come in. Because these we can't be held accountable. If we break it even more because that's actually an option when you're trying to fix something, I suppose that happens to me. I know right. That's an excellent idea. And how about you know, I'm gonna ask sometimes language and culture is a barrier for some kind of this kind of learning is there a and there's so many Latinos in our in our area. Now is there a Latino engagement part of this? Yes. This is our newest program, and we're so excited by it. So are the face of our community is changing and the traditional person that would take advantage of what WS you extension offers is traditionally like middle class, maybe from an Anglo background. So we developed a program called from estimate. MBNA so ambassadors for the environment who are Spanish speaking individuals who get trained in Spanish about different environmental topics about water pollution or recycling. And then they commit to going out and educating their families their their friends their networks of people. And so this is newer, and we actually are offering some free workshops for people in Monroe and Everett to learn all about keeping water clean. And when they're done their own Spanish, they get to walk away with the rain barrel that they have made there. So you learn how to make their own a native plant that they can put into their yard that will help with some of the water quality problems. We have. So those are just some examples of the things that were doing boy I liked and how you said than they will teach others the same thing. And that's how it real outreach really work gets to the word outreach. And really does what it says it does that's kinda cool schizo the other program that we are. I really found interesting in that. I wanted to talk to you about this morning. Chris is the beach watcher program. Right. That's sort of the same thing. Right. Educating folks into the protection of what we talked about the Sigler seawater typically, you know, what we is Puget Sound through what we just talked about education. And then, but there's also some research involved in really getting your hands. I guess suppose wet maybe with stewardship projects, right? Tell us about the beach watchers in a big picture. And then let's narrow it down to some of those cool individual parts of it. So beach watchers has been around for over twenty five years it started out in island county WSBIU extension, and we began running a program in Snohomish. Mish county in two thousand and six so these are community members who are not necessarily teachers or biologists. They're interested folks who get who's gone eighty to one hundred hours of training, and then they commit to volunteering eighty one hundred hours in some way to protect the Salish sea that can be through education, or research or beach cleanups. Their stewardship opportunities, and I like about the program. And I think a lot of the beach watchers like is that once you go through the training, which is fairly rigid. You are able to choose how you wanna volunteer. And where are you volunteer? And when you volunteer, and so we have a wide variety of projects and also kind of opening the doors to other organizations that people might not be aware of. So where speech watchers contribute a lot of their time and dedication to sailors. She protection benefits many of us, and I'm happy to talk about the different ways. That's pretty cool. I like the flexibility. Thirty of the is offered through that, you know, once they're educated into their volunteer action. Let's talk about some of those. I don't know some of those beach watcher I dunno stewardship. Would you call them stewardship projects that they can actually do right? Yeah. Actually, it started out if it's okay. I just want to start out with a little bit of context. Like, why do we even have to do this? You're the leader. Here you tell me I jumped even when I look out my home community is near you know, car Keith park and looking out from the north Seattle area. And when I look out at you just sound over to the Olympic now, it looks utterly beautiful. There. These forests on the hillside the waters, you know, looks blue and everything is just lawyers. But unfortunately, there are problems that we don't that. We we can't really see as easily, and I think anyone that's lived here. More than a few years. We'll probably have their own stories about how the landscape has changed. But the problems that we're dealing with today have really accumulated over many generations. It's not just what we're doing. Now. For example, many of the streams and make some kind of the Tri county area Pierce kings county are considered impaired with poor water quality in different ways. And we're actually we as residents are not recommended to each shellfish off of our beaches from Tacoma to Everett because of concern about pollution that the shellfish can absorb into their flesh. You know, we are always hearing about species in decline. So we've heard a lot about southern southern resident workers and the challenges that they have we have wild Chinook, salmon and bull trout that are listed as endangered or threatened and many of our seabirds are also struggling, so they're all these kind of problems that are a little harder to see especially when you just step into the picture twenty years ago compared to what it made them like a hundred or a hundred and fifty years ago, exciting things are happening. There's a lot of progress being made there's I think a renewed interest in Salish sea or. Sound recovery? And receiving a lot of degraded lands being restored to the functions that are important for wildlife for water or flood control number seeing some regulations that are changing the types of contaminants that can get into our water. But there's there's always a role for what we as individuals can do. So there are four and a half million Washingtonians that live around our portion of the sailor sea. So in Washington Washington area, the twelve counties that surround region. Wow. No say over four million. Did you say four and a half million? That's a lot of us. Right. Sound? And you know, when when you think about it often, we think about where pollution comes from and the image of industry, or, you know, municipal treatment plants are the first ones, we think of the number one source of pollution in strategic sale today is actually us the clean water act is really effective in dealing with industries and municipal treatment plants to the point where those pollution sources have decreased their more of us. It sounds like. It's good news. And yet we are as people were a little harder to handle industry. You know? So there's a role for us as individuals, whether it's honestly taking personal personal action. In terms of how we choose to maintain our yards or how we maintain our vehicles. But there's also this opportunity to volunteer. And I think that's where groups like the beach watcher program come in because we provide support to. Agencies for example, who might not have the resources to go out and educate community members one of the projects that we do and spring summer. And winter is you know, when the tide goes out beach watchers tend to follow. So we will go out to these exposed beaches during low tides, we'll talk to people about the amazing creatures that are there. The fascinating ways that they adapt to a really dynamic environment because even with it's so cold, it's tied still goes out. And so the animals are exposed to cold in the summer, they're exposed to the heat. So we're out there. I think spending a tale of wonder and amazement and helping people to look at that area with me lies..

"I'm Ryan idell host a fifteen minutes of freedom. Your daily action guided to getting shit done today's episode as always is my favorite day of the week. The one where my wife joins me in the studio. How are you? I'm wonderful. How about yourself? I'm good. And if you're listening to this, that means it's Saturday, although we're not recording on a Saturday, it is a Thursday, Thursday. We're kind of cutting it close this week a little bit, but you don't want to show is gonna air on Saturday. You don't know which that or not. Considering this is the only one we have in the Bank right now. Probably this Saturday would be a good bet maybe which is exactly what I want to talk about on this episode. The subsets entitled, shut your mouth. Oh, that's right. And like I say every week, I never know what we're talking about until we sit down. So I said, what are we talking about? He's gonna hit you between the eyes, some shit today. Okay. Here we go. Yes, that's right. No one. It's a whole thing of. I would look at this episode as a fact that there has to be a certain amount of humor and lightheartedness to any relationship. Certainly that I'm a part of, yeah, I mean, our whole world revolves around making other laugh or giggle or Saint some dumb shit to one another. That is a great way to say it and hence shut your mouth like, I can't tell you as you're listening. How many times I have told Lindsey to shut, shut him out. She's being stupid and and was because you are soup. But a lot of times pretty stupid sometimes too. And I, what a great comeback. I know, right? You're stupid too. So dumb. But you know, it's good for one another. We always call everybody out on their shit. So you know you and I do it to each other all the time. Shut your mouth. Fuck you. A daily thing such terms of endearment for my husband and that I give to him. Yeah. Well, fuck you. That's pretty true. What if there's an our relationship more so than any of my past. That very rarely are we in this super serious mindset. Certainly there's the weight of life situations that we have to deal with. You know, whether it's bills need paid or kids that need picked up or dog getting cancer. Like there's no, there's, there's things that require. Direct focus right. But what time and talk about the humorous side of our life, which is really like ninety eight percent of what we do, which makes everyday enjoyable and fun. It does, but something to me, I have to remain aware of and I don't know that we've spoken to this never. Which is good. It's gonna make gonna make for some great content as you're listening. Really, we've never talked about any of this stuff. Nobody on my side. I am ridiculously focused and self consumed on the growth of this show. My personal brand, everything that I'm doing to make a change in the world where. It's consuming like it consumes my mind. It consumes the thoughts that I have of the future it. It's like, and it's not that it's heavy in the fact that I'm super analytical or ultra introspective. But if I don't force myself to break away and try to spend some extra time by myself or getting present the moment with you in Jonah, I discuss it there and I'm quiet. Yes. We've talked about that before though, like you just get consumed with your own thoughts and then you can kind of drift off and I'll look at, you'd be like, what the fuck are you doing right now? Yeah, but it's, it's that it's that is that ability to have that level of communication that I had not had before. And again, I'm not. I always want to make sure I say this on air. I am not talking poorly about people that I have spent time with dated it. Just the dynamics of our relationship obviously were married, why we're married and we've been together for going on the fifth year now. Yeah, it's because of this. This stuff works the right way. I mean, I can say the same thing I've had pass relationships and even pass marriage like nothing wrong with any of those people. They just turn out to not be a match or the the level of communication or intimacy or whatever is just not on the same wavelength, which is why married to you. That's right. For instance, let's say glasses wearing right now. We are extra cool kids today. If you go to the YouTube channel Ryan idell, you'll see that both of us are wearing blue lake glasses. I got served an Instagram ad about, I don't know a few weeks ago. We'll my buddies company, David Johnson seen. Yes, yes, yes, I forgot it's previously revolt. Maybe something that I don't know how I don't speak Spanish or French. So I don't know really what it is on. Those are inexpensive sunglasses that David as a local guy here to Columbus. Grew Astor and black grew at the sold it off move down to Miami, and it has had this entrepreneurial spirit above and beyond. Most people have ever seen and created discount sunglasses and now regular glasses, their blue light. So the Instagram at I got serve, which I'm a sucker for these all the time, they're supposed to block the light, the blue light rays that come from your computer and your phone screen. So for those of us that are on our phone, a computer all day, we don't get those ocular headaches, and so they block. But really, I just think we like to wear them. 'cause we look cool. Maybe. I don't know. I ordered the one you have on for me, and then they were like massively too big for my head. And so you've got a very nice large. Great on you. I already these little, you know, cute girlie one. Yes. So apparently I have a big head and I'm also slowly actually getting a big head with the success of the show. So I guess that's double double folded, but it's it's like we have these glasses and Lindsey has them, and I see them when they come in. I'm like middle and thinking, I'd probably even to this out loud. Like what the fuck are you doing buying more glasses? And I say that. Perfect. Man, you needed to nap too. God, damn. So what. I have bought Lindsey, not short of. Ten pairs of sunglasses in our time together. It's ten, but it's, it's close. It's I'm horrible with glasses. It's not a, we don't even have to name all the names. Now I bought a bunch of the privee revoke glasses because I saw him and they were inexpensively twenty five or thirty bucks a pair. So I'm not spending thousands of dollars on glasses. But then we have also bought the Tom Ford's in the row Florenz and the Ray bans and named some things. And she'll happens that Lindsey and all of her creative genius likes to offer the fish of the ocean and lakes, the ability to wear sunglasses, they swim. And so she drops them in the water almost consistently. And then just says, fuck and leaves. I've to pair out of the ten only two pair have gone in the water, the Tom Ford one in the ocean. I wore them on my face. I got smacked in the mouth by giant wave, and that was it some shark as rock and some Tom Ford's. And then when we went to New York, we went to was the called talk shop, awake and. I've been over to sit down and they were on my head and they fell right off into the water which we could have retrieved those, I guess. But it was a little chilly and nobody wanted to get way. I'm glad you think this is funny. I, it's so passive like the Tom Ford's are four or five hundred dollars on. The right bands are hundred and fifty to two hundred dollars glasses. So it's no big deal. Like fortunately we now operate in a household full of abundance versus scarcity. So turn it off that like I will never spend that kind of money on sunglasses again that hurt that hurt my soul. I love it is awesome. Never. Again. I I'm rocking my thirty dollar previous right now. Go probably stick to that. But she, she buys these glasses. I literally, I come home and I don't have a garage door opener. It's the craziest shit in the world. Like we have a two car garage. And from just we've just been lazy, I can't even like justify we. We had a a new garage door opener put in like the motor quite some time ago. We only got one remote with it. We never thought that the second we didn't program another one on the outside. That doesn't work with that part of our Alexis shit show. And so I walked through the front door with Keith park in the driveway because the second the second car garage has all Jonah stuff and has a motorcycle in it has lawnmowers just has stuff. So three car garage, at least at least. But in that we I walked through the front door and there's almost always. I mean, I know what you're gonna say. There's almost always an Amazon package sitting.
