Tiger wants to make sure he's ready for so little tournament down in Georgia. An early April called the masters, so he's not feeling right. Not gonna play. This is a very popular tournament now honoring the late. Great Arnold Palmer. Tommy Fleetwood, Keegan Bradley atop the leaderboard through thirty six at nine under par. Billy horseshoe in a group at five under par. Including Keith Mitchell. And I think he's the guy or was it Kevin Mitchell that one a week ago. I'm getting my mid confused here. Was a key Kevin who won a week ago. Oh, it was Keith. It's kind of a funny story. I might get into it later. Bubba Watson the always Chipper Patrick read at a four hundred par. I think he's going to be here. And two three m open this summer over the fourth of July. Zach Johnson, Mr. Iowa at three-under par. I thought the lump stir was in the mix. He is. He is in a group with Rory mcilroy. Tim Herron and Rory mcilroy or two hundred par and it sounds like we're going to be able to visit with spring lake parks. Troy Merritt on Monday night. I'm sitting in for Mike max. Troy plans on playing at the players next week..

"Cool, but has no pulse. Jordan speed all American guy. But but you need a guy that comes out because here's Tigers otherworldly talents. Carried the sport for two decades. Now being with tiger. Tiger was the do that you could love and hate. That's the problem. The problem is tiger was so polarizing he was like he was Howard Stern. He he's still is the people that hate to bad analogy. No, not tell you why. Because. He never said anything. Controversial. It don't matter. If you hated Tiger Woods if he wasn't on TV. You didn't watch. Even if you hated Tiger Woods, and he was on. And he was playing good in and up near the lead. You would turn the TV on because it was bays. People are still people were still amazed by his talent. Right. But people also they made tired of tired of seeing him win all the time now because this is the thing all those people that would right and complain about. Hey, why you only do Tiger Woods. Why you write about Tiger Woods while you do this you? I don't hear did leave from them people. When when he was gone. This is what I'm saying. Even the haters of tire woods, we're happy to see him back because they were watching and complaining even trolls it's not like anybody's trolling Jordan speak being like yet. That's the problem. That's what I'm saying. That's why Patrick re I love Patrick read because he's a villain. That's why love he's a billion people talk about Patrick read and talk about the game. Because Patrick read gives them something to talk about. Here's all respected Jordan, Jason Rory Ricky, here's the here's where that argument. This is the problem with argument, then the problem. Is to make up for tiger. You need to people you champion and villain. And then both of them have to be playing awesome to go toe-to-toe. So your watch for those two people. But you know, what though it's also it is also our fault to in the media because there are plenty of fantastic drama stories out there that aren't being told that big about this Keith Mitchell makes a putt on the eighteenth hole at the Honda to be Brooks camp and Rickie Fowler. Like to keep out of a playoff from them to monster guys out there, the crowds are huge. And you know, what the headline in the Palm Beach post was no name something happy. Yeah. Look, but. Okay. College. Is that dude because that was legit ignorant headline? But were they were they wrong yet? It was wrong. They were they were wrong, everyone who Mitchel was. It's it's not that anyone knew who he was the. Here's the problem that do just did something that everybody had been trying to do like this. I agree made a monster putt. So there's no such thing as the if you're on the PGA tour, you're not a no name just because we ain't told your story. That's not you the reader or the listeners fault. That's our fault. We didn't tell that story. It's more, man. We gotta your responsibility now. No, okay. Where you are off base here because I agree with you that it isn't coming upon the media to go find the stories, but the players certain players have to give the media a reason to tell the story. Keep bitch did something. One of the biggest putz ever seen a guy guided even win in June guidelines went last one of my junior golf, and he goes and takes down on that. Huge putt that he has awesome. Yeah. When I finish. He did he did something. Tremendous and people were talking about that day. Keith Mitchell is not a sustainable story week in and week out. He's historic. We don't know that yet. But the story is starting to be told. But what I'll the region you're off base with like, oh, we gotta tell you know, what the most popular story over the last month was that had nothing to do with tournament golf. What a US UN rules now. No, one cares about that. Either. That made headlines all over the place that made the front page of the paper the spat between Justin Thomas in the US. You know, what it didn't do? It didn't outdo Matt Kuchar in the caddy did not Matt cooter in the caddy was national news..

"The case might be. It's too much golf if events now. Yeah. If you if he if Tiger Woods played they're made the weekend now will be seven rounds of golf in four days. And we saw how beat of he looked just playing seventy two holes in three days in L. I'm not I'm not concerned about tiger until he misses the players if he misses the players, I'm telling then the genocide of the GRA right there. Pull the fire alarm. I'm gonna be taking. I'm scared. Can you can you tell people why you're talking like a phone sex operator today? You know? Might have side gig. All right. Look, here's the truth. Monday when we did the podcast. The media center was empty. Which we talked about which was cool and fun. So I could get I could just be myself. I might get a little loud. I might get a little emotional let things go a little bit. But now the places packed because it's Wednesday, and they've already had a whole bunch of like interviews and stuff and the interview room is literally in the media center, where people are working, and what so you can't even sneak in and out with somebody's up there doing the interview or else you look like the bad guy. And now there's like a hundred people in there, and I was earlier just trying to write and play a low music just lightly and already somebody came back. It was like someone was wondering who had to music playing back here. Somebody who don't have rhythm just like what I'm jamming too. So I might sound a little more review sound you sound weird. Occur work at a jazz radio station disappoint. Hey. Welcoming like, so what would happen? What would happen? If you went full catty right now if I wanna fool catty. Like I was like we was in a booth booth. If I went full on that way, somebody from either tournament or two people from the PGA tour would walk back here and asked me to keep it down a little bit. And that's the other thing that drives me crazy about this all these writers that always get their always mad and bitter anyway..

"What was it like having to fight them things, man? Well, I promise you if I hadn't of let them take over before. I what to how to manage them. And it's kinda cool to know how to do it on your own not like add a sports psychologist that you need to think this on the eighteenth hole. You should think this on the eighteenth. All this is what's going to work. Like, I had raw organic thoughts that I knew were bad newer good from all my past experiences. And I've those and that's what helped me on eighteen. But Iran nuclear enough, I already know because we talked before everyone talks about that putt on eighteen, but that's not the put the meant the most to you. That's not the put the you actually had the most thoughts going to your head tell everyone which put on Sunday meant the most to you as far as with everything that was going on in your head. Was hundred percent member. Fifteen after hit that aren't shot in their birdie twelve and thirteen to get back to seven hundred. I think that there's five people tied for the lead. And I hit that iron shot in fifteen to think it was six six feet, and it is dead straight straight up the hill. And there's I could not find I was trying so hard to find breaking that. And I couldn't do it. So line doesn't matter break doesn't matter. Nothing matters. Only thing that matters was me hitting a good. But or I should rephrase that me not screwing up that was only. So I mean, it was unbelievable that I had to I that part. I had to do it. And in that was I mean, I'm sitting over it. And it's impossible for me to not think about screwing up because that's the only thing I to do. And once I. Made that putt on new. I was a good mental mind frame for the next three or four holes. So when you were when you were doing those next few holes where you will wear of where Ricky and Brooks were. I I've new books was at seven, and I figured there's no way he wasn't gonna birdie eighteen and I figured that. He was gonna get to eight. And that was that was in the back of my mind, then he did it. And I was like, okay. Well, here we go. And 'cause I got to eight on fifteen and also leads. I knew Brooks, I knew Brooks is birdie eighteen I mean, there's no way that guy doesn't do it. So I figured that was good enough. And then I'm some Brooks tied while I'm saying on seventeen and rookies on the green at six, and he's on the back, and you know rookies. Just horse it in on my face on seventeen in the place goes nuts. Right, which I know it. I look at my caddie. I look at my caddie. And I was like I'm not going to say exactly what I said. But I was like are. You freaking kidding me. I was like, and so then he gets the seven, and I was like there's no way he's not burning eighteen now. And of course, I'm up there. The fairway my west side there you gotta Ricky birthday team to get to to get to eight. And I was just like our this is unbelievable. This is fun believable. Like, I mean, they're just making it so hard for me to win here. I can't even get over it. But yet you hit that would shot and after the web shots in the air. What are you thinking when the ball's in air, are you thinking man if that goes a little bit is dead is perfect. I mean, I hear one less club. And I would have enormous play. I had to keep it under the whole. I had to keep it under the whole. I was pumped up wasn't about to take something off a gap wedge, which normally would have in that situation. But I knew I could swing as hard as I could at that fifty four degrees. And it was not going to go over the green and the only place..

"Bruce kept guy. His parents are here. He's from here. Rickie Fowler is from here. They were all in the lead. So and it was a three way tie until Keith Mitchell. He drained it on the last hole for him. It's yeah. It was his first PGA tour win so good for him. And then there were pick. Well, it was nice to see it was I kept going and Rickie Fowler went up to and shook his hand them. You know, it was nice cool events for the area. You pours a lot of money into it. Hotels, restaurants and well beer sales. Wow. I guess it's nice for everybody except those who live at PG national. I guess you. Gotta know. What's coming? You probably go. Great traffic all this weekend. Now this stuff you'll see on TV in the news reports of it, and this and that the official stuff, and then you see stuff on social media people who were there what a drunk fest. Don't realize it was kind of like, you know, you see the official version of the Kentucky Derby, and then you see people's pictures and videos of the infield bright, whoa. Yeah. That's the bear trap bad people. Just go there to get drunk. That's it. I guess you sit there and you drink, and you wait for you, wait for the gophers to get to you. And when somebody, you know, finally gets to usually you're too drunk to actually watch him play. It's like, okay. This is great. I've been there before that's the only reason I say it. I don't know what was going on with this guy. But it was got a lot of headlines over the weekend. He faced a judge on Sunday morning. He stabbed a co worker at the mall food court at Palm Beach outlets with the machete. Yeah. It was a little disagreements between the cleaning crew, they were both cleaning people. Yeah. He said that the guy didn't do his job and he had to do twice as much work because he didn't finish his job. So he commanding pulls out a machete. Okay. Bill. The next time you're late. I'm gonna machete you. That's crazy. Now, when I first heard this about the, you know beat upset about the guy Paul and his. Yeah. Well, he's right. And then you hear machete like. Anyway, the cops say West Palm Beach police say forty-three or Louis areas for the cleaning company there and exactly what it was like how you described Janney was upset that the guy on the day shift and newest job. Jeez. But go after my feeling there are some underlying issues. He just hadn't finished his job. Maybe he'd been covered. Maybe this guy been covering for the other one that was a slacker for awhile, and he finally just got fed up, by the way, we should tell you. The victim was released from the hospital stitches back of his neck down his left arm, right hand took a hacking. She's thank God. He's alive. Kidding? Holy cow. No area the machete man there aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Wow. Held on fifty thousand dollars bond. All right. What happens a lot of stuff locally? And then that boat coming into Boynton beach inlet if you've ever been to the point beach inlet jetty there, and you watch people come in on their boats. It's it's treacherous on a good day. Why? And then this little boat yesterday carrying all these people. I mean, it it didn't seem like the boat was big enough to carry that many people as a twenty foot four foot boat. Fifteen people on board. I mean, it was kinda over run. And some big wave came toppled the thing to infants were there three kids altogether. But they were all safe. Thank goodness. But still you're right. It's it's treacherous getting in there. And you know, you see people who tried to turn around in the inland. Well, what happens is it's kind of like people have never driven in the snow. You know when you start to get stuck don't stop. You gotta keep going. It's it's or when you try through sugar sand people go really slow don't go slow got it and go don't stop don't hit the brakes because you're gonna get stuck coming into the boy Natal at same way. You got a gun it if you don't you're gonna get caught in that cross, whatever you call it. And you get slammed into the rocks, and how many people they have in the boat fifteen or having their own bear trap. I guess I guess fifteen people at twenty four twenty foot foot boat guests. Yes, that's it that what you mean. And remember just talking about Friday about the vaccination issue because of the somebody with. Measles in contagious was walking through O'Hare airport or is it midway midway midway in Chicago. Well, now, this is kind of popped up in the news once again now, we have a kid who despite his mom's wishes has gone ahead vaccinated himself, and now well not himself, but you know, went to the doctor, right? And now he's going to speak before congress about the thing is name is Ethan Lindenberg grew up in a anti household. My mom didn't believe that vaccines for beneficial to the health and safety of society and believes that they cause brain damage in other complications, although this has been largely debunked scientific community. Okay. Wow. All right. Well, so what he turned eighteen he went and got all his vaccinations. I think it started because he posted like on Facebook or somewhere can I can I get vaccinations as an adult do they still work? And then it grew from there. You know, what's so funny? I never asked that question. Whether you can if you were never vaccinated. Yeah. You can do it at any time. Then I guess he proved it. Yeah. I bet you it hurts a lot more though as an adult. I know. Toughened up to see a baby. You don't remember it though? That's the good. Thank god. You know, God, we don't remember most of that stuff. I just went through it with north. Oh, no. Can you imagine? Now if we were just getting teeth. A year. Kids going through. And now, he's speaking at some chamber of cars. Some muck committee will be testifying in front of the committee of US health education labor and pensions about preventable diseases spreading and outbreaks of preventable diseases as well as addressing misinformation that causes these outbreaks becoming more and more of a huge huge debate. And a lot of people claim that like the kids mom does that causes autism. Yeah. But what if you're an adult is your own choice, or he's actually lucky didn't get anything until this point. It should be. I would be interested to see if there's been a study where an adult who came from a non vaccine family like this kid went in got the vaccines and then developed autism. The then there would be a correlation. Yeah. I I know a lot of people say in. We know somebody Bill I won't mention her name. We've had twins the kids were fine. And she said when they hit a certain age, and it was right after they get a vaccine, they started showing symptoms of autism. You're right though. Imagine if they if like this eighteen year old kid did. 'cause then you've got a constant you can compare it to right. Wow. Every thought of that, but science more or less. He's right has debunked. The fact that vaccines or vaccinations cause autism or lead to autism. Or they told us the truth. Done okay conspiracy. Man, you never know. True. By the way, if you're flying anywhere today. Call.

"And as one listener told us, it's been going on for decades last night on the program. We spoke with Daniel Tillotson from Cornell Berta Mr. Tillotson rigged his car's windshield wiper system to squirt raspberry Kabukicho into his mouth. He doesn't recommend you try it at home, and he doesn't seem to enjoy it much himself, but it turns out someone else did it long before he was even born. We got this call on our talk back line. My name's Keith Mitchell Chester, Nova Scotia listening to your story about the windshield washer saying, this is not new. We did it back in the seventies. You went to Canadian tire. You bought a brand new one. You put your hard liquor under the hood. You dumped it into a cana- Pepsi or coke or whatever your preference was, and you didn't have to worry about flushing the system. It's an awful thing to say because of the way mad and drinking and driving has gone since the seventies, but it's not new. Goodnight. Mr Mitchell wasn't quite done. Reminiscing. Hi, it's he's mitzah again, east Chester, Nova Scotia finish the rest of your story about the windshield washer fluid. He said he was gonna move onto cooking something on a manifold. I can't tell you how many cans of beans I've had warmed up on the manifold of a portable welder. The first thing I didn't know was that you have to punch a hole into it. I, I've goodnight Keith Mitchell for sharing, of course, drinking and driving wasn't legal in the seventies. It's not legal now, so don't do that. If you are desperate to rig your wiper system to spray something into your mouth, go with Daniel till it since Bucci thing, but probably don't do that either..

"You are listen to every man podcast this episode thirty seven with keith mitchell welcome everybody i'm excited that you are listening in before i get to talking about the episode a little bit i have to tell you about an experience that i just had an and currently having last week we didn't every man workshop in new york city eta incredible place called the assemblage which is a coworker space that just literally knocked my socks off a bend to a handful of co working space before of worked out of them and the semblage was gist i can't even really describe what it was like it was like walking into a dimly lit lic immaculate lee conceived alter universe in which people who work there are just wildly interesting and goodhearted and is just strange beautiful art everywhere and comfortable anyway i don't think i'm doing it justice but the assembled in new york we had a workshop we originally thought we had forty spots available when a parent over fifty guys there which is just amazing and in that workshop one of the questions when the prompts we ask broke into small groups at at a certain point and we asked the question what are we withholding from the world what are we not sharing what do we hide what we hide from everybody and i'm not sure if this is clear but at our workshops in in our groups in and in a retreats in expeditions as the facilitators the leader iin the other facilitators and leaders also participate this is never just a telling you what to do and sit there while you do it it's a full participatory model so i do my work alongside everybody else right and so mice stretch coming out of this experience i challenge myself and to hold myself accountable to the other guys there my stretch was to share on the podcast my insecurity because on the podcast i'm always doing an update i'm always sharon what's going on with every man and i recognize that it's pretty sent there's a lot of sunshine volved fred hits a lot of good stuff it's a lotta positively it on his own.
