"To catch her last breath. That does not go away. I can't imagine the pain that you feel having to witness your daughter ticker laps breath. It's hard it's hard. I tell them go on her facebook page. Go on her. I just found out. She had tick-tock. But i tell them go on her page. She posted a lot of various. She was every day every day she would get up in the morning before it was time for the boys ready for school. She'd sit on the porch with a cigarette in her coffee and listen to her music. Her one of her favorite songs was dance with my father. Again by luther vandross and how do you mend a broken heart by al green. Because her dad had passed she was with her daddy when he passed and george gone. What two years. So he passed the year before she passed and so every morning she would get up and she would choose early bird early. Five five five thirty. She'd get up and you would hear her plan her music. She'd make a video every morning. She make taking the kids to school. She would care. Murray was guiding now. I say she was making memories for us. She was making sure we had the she thinks that we had enough videos in pitchers would her voice a lot of them. Have you know the little over videos and stuff wearing massacre voice but she got videos to wear when we get to trip and we just sit in. We can go on her page as her mother is not the same. I'm used to the hugs. I'm used to the kisses. I'm used to her when she was feeling good. Come thirty years old. Come lay down with her mama user. Mom braid my hair mama. Scratch my back. "From jumping editions. I'll definitely so the by the initial the tactics. All second edition. Which is you know you take twenty thunder you put them in a boat jumped the boat for and you just unload kilhof the enemy them. Definitely that specific. Bill does not work because festival fund of his copy. Twenty million units. You can still. You can still take two units ten thunders. But then the efficiency of these buffs you only actually getting one of the units to plus one to hit into wound. It does not put out as much firepower as it as it used to do. People who don't know why that that is that he's coming through the reinforcement rule so A purse a player can only reinforce a unit or the unity mir army up to four times at the moment in two thousand points so How many. I five men say they start at five man and then They can not battleline natively the only way to one of the sub factions back. Nah will make them battleline. But i think that unfortunately that's also pretty much the only good thing about back. Nah is the ability to make thunders battleline because that gets an up to fifteen now It's it's it's the wild west out there like people come up with so many different opinions. It's i. I love this period in time right now where we can so much as being thrown at the wool and we're trying many different things and he's just figuring out what works and what doesn't so much mon- also being the tournament list. Recently and bill sousa flysheet. A courts won a a major event. One hundred player event. You know we've had slash in the top five we've had Ogres august come first at a sydney player events so and this is not starting on. This is your your dad. Bought arguments right. This got boston's came. I seventy player event so You know it is a bit of a wall west right now but we starting to see a little bit of the meta revolving and it seems to me at the moment at least now. It's all going down a very hero. Hem route tekla us Go go trick off kion. Nick was superheroes. But you don't have any. You don't have the big bad superheroes that's obviously. You can get go trick right. I i've seen lists gown one list. That did actually really well. In the battle for copenhagen. I believe that featured a go trick and to ironclad. It's like we've gone from. I dish in with no ironclad sothern dish. What would just throwing like they've released. That's who was like fifteen hundred hundred point season and they'd be close to twelve to fifteen hundred points. Yeah no it is That's like the whole this is kgo track. I believe i'm not one hundred percent like how it works. But i i think you put to ironclad On a flank and funnel them into into the clouds using go goetrik and the classes. Putting out that amount of five powell to wipe out. Welcome again. it's crazy but you're right. It's a beautiful wall west. How how do you think. Koa goes at the moment with some of these superheroes you know. 'cause you right like there's a lot of rand in keio one. Yes you dawson punch through you know. there's a bit of an to in the cannons and did occasional sprinklers again. Three but a lot of its wants so at least the way i've been looking at the at at pow. Ko work and playing my games is. I'm pretty much ignoring ignoring the pickier And there's a hero of was oft overlooked non used in a second edition Colt the navigator. And he he. He provides a dispel. He doesn't call spells beacon combine them. makes it foster and he's got this really cool legal now That he picks one flying unit in your opponents on me within thirty six inches of the of the of the navigator so wherever really and on a three plus the that units movement is hopped on a sixty deeply mortal wounds. But it's it's the thing that hobbes the enemy movement and so the way it's the way it's worded is the it. Hobbs the movement characteristic of of an enemy unit which means if you took more of these these navigators they actually would stack. So now. i'm i'm stapling to navigators to every list god which is currently a hundred ninety points Investment to then essentially getting almost scion. T- like an on or more thieves moving seven inches and occasionally three and a half inches. He's scary but she's moving slower than coach popping around with these boats. Let's see kennedy. Will you made a really interesting point as well. Because something that people might not have remembered or might have missed is a broken realms bella coal which came out just before third addition did give you. Some additional triumphs from full was at your eighth. A chemist you'll navigate and ended mazda injured mazda. Yes you got a count how they found those in the new edition given the the the court triumphs have changed So yeah the the. The the new the bellcore triumphs really really affect these these heroes of a boat hero is stationed on the they all seem to be revolving around. The hero is in a boat. And then the hero can use this triumph to positively affect the boat So the chemist could give a one weapon on the boat So for an ironclad you want to go on the carbines which is thrown out. Which has the most damage output. It gives them real wants to wound with normally. He can only do that to infantry squads navigators gave the potent extra diesel movement Which is it's it's It's very good if your if you've loaded up in such a way that it can't fly anymore It can turn up an ironclad which now moves five inches into the zippy like fifteen inches because it can run And shoot if it's gotten admiral on it And the the end of mazda he can make the blow off dies which is fun so the pocos down oil to putting out blow the magazine. Everyone.

"Get a hobbyist. It is iowa's coachee and we are talking all things courage and overlords we he with kane krahn himself the pirates of the sky. The man who you almost went six in our cancun. Almost you almost top table win when keio was at its worst san still playing him in the current meta. Yeah i'll i will always love Steam punk airships. I think you've actually been on my show every season. You've gone season one carjon overlords. Second edition carotenoids. And now he third overload. You are committed to disguise. But alex soul alexander cancun uncle clingy cancun. Because you are. The man of cancun has been playing character For so long. Now you're one of many of the The eighth cost podcast cost which is a carriage overlords cost and more importantly just excellent overall playa. Who always he's doing very well in the competitive sane with ko. So i thought if anyone could help me understand how Overloads has come come at a third addition and how we thinking about the build right now. I couldn't have a better person. So this is our discussion. Let's learn how i would how. Ko works because for me. I mentioned might. My first interpretation encouraging overlords is that you might have lost more than other people have gained. The board has changed some of the re rolls of disappeared. Some of the rules kind of come about that. Have you generally found karen overloads in his first two months. So i mean. I think the one of the big changes is the it this universal poss- one saves has really impacted armies. That really liked that one so it's caroline have pretty much across the board have rent one guns Which really powerful and section a lot less impactful in addition so. I'm really feeling like a moving out of that. That initial that alpha strike meta that was dominating signage and more into a very control faced A lot of keio possibly doesn't hit as hard as it used to but this So much that they can do with maneuvering and with a abilities that that affect opponents movement and can Box occasionally box on his in That that's still gives them a lot of play inside edition. Yeah it's it's interesting. Because when i look at third addition especially now which is the battle pack which is focused on girl right. You have no monsters. You don't really have any wizards to focus on metamorphosis the battle tactics giving you bonus victory points for having monsters and like just general even just the board size of being able to fly high in find parts of the board. I imagine it's it's a lot of like just negatives against a. Are you feeling that or do you think there's other opportunities or other things that you'll building around. I mean i have having wants. Says is really a blessing curse i feel so yes you can't. You can't get the extra points for for having monsters and One of the tactics. That's sitting amongst all objective. You just can't do but it also means you've opponent can't get extra coins for for killing months of killing monsters on your side so you're denying them that And i think this is another battle tactic. That is kill an enemy monster. Yeah which again the co-players losing out on being battle and you're losing out and being. I'll do a battle tactic Smaller boards You definitely noticed that. There's less space less space to move and put your ships but it also It's harder for the enemy to screen out your shooting as account on overlord so this the deployment sons are a lot a lot of missions. A lot shallower which means even if you had a screen at the front of the at the funny deployments own and you'll big wants to old way at the back does not actually enough space there to stop a boat from being a moving within three inches of your front screen and an unloading everything. It's got into that back monster screen on ice cream and by the way i'm not trying to be on negative about ko. I'd just like for me. Initially when i was looking at some of the things all these don't seem very positive but then i think about other things you know you've got Unleash hell so. You've got a whole bunch of options to unleash your opponent and you've got a lot of shooting options it's it's it's pretty nice Some some care units get better when enemy within three inches. So the unleash hell on funders. Clinton's you have a big block of thunders. Someone charges them they can. They unleash hell and they get plus one to all the shots as well say it it actually ups the firepower. I mentioned that. I also make you think about different load outs with your people as well. Especially things like having moved volley guns to do a lot of damage oil. I dunno. I guess what i'm hearing. Actually not as bad as some people might have expected for. Yeah i mean yes we definitely gotten hit with some negatives but i think overall koa still in a really good spot. It's just a different spot. That would that would what used to Talking off line before that It's actually good. You know you've been playing. Ko since like ever. Since i've known you which is right at the start of of of keio. You've always played it right and our member even talking to you very early on you saying that i think initially. Ko played like towel then. It moved to a dock eldest style and the white back in the diet was all about having all big old balloons over balloon. Boys having uram injured ribs and things like that the house online noughts. Yeah and even like towards the end second edition it was then all about things like having lots of implants so the middle revolving has always been a positive thing and as you get to play with new toys. Unfortunately it's been how many years now that brooke is still not any good saw a still i. Don't he's just not good. He's just not worth the point at this point if you get. He's he's cool. He's got he's gonna be pass gun. He said a top hat like he's amazing win. Winning giant mecca suits look. We've we've got marathi in the middle we've got. We've gotten a gash. when is it age of brooke. I think what is it. Age of brooke funday one day. When i don't know what he needs he needs something is it's it's he needs. More punch needs more defense to eat something. Maybe maybe strikes terror on the bead. That's what have you found going from sick in addition to thirty shin has. You've already talked a little bit. About how some of your list kind of evolving like. What are some of the big things that you've learned.

"Maybe we waiting queue and before we stop. How many of you the concepts. Wow you're a few of you. I hope the rest of you going tonight. That was amazing In my life anyway that sometimes people said how can you. Smith spread is amazing teachings more wide because they are amazing teachings even just talking recently about no one of the biggest problems. People have these days living together husbands and wives and tomorrow i have to go off to tired and to give more talk to the reason. I'm going to try that again. The same group. Where i'm going is some disciples who work at the australian embassy in bangkok and the first time i went to see them and they range talks. I said why did you invite me. And i said because they got a copy of that book opening the door of your heart in the embassy somehow and the four couples. I think two of them had already been separated and the other couples with no really thinking about marriage is on the rocks and i read that book and they all came together again saves their marriages when i gave the talk. Three of the couples were sitting there in the front row to say thank you because it saves their family now things like that. You see these teachings of buddhism incredibly powerful the trouble is that like these amazing gems but they're wrapped in so many layers of tradition now fallen languages the sometimes. You just can't get to them but when actually you express those in a modern way incredibly powerful so much so that's why it's wonderful to have this concert so it can take these amazing teachings or how to live together how to give for goodness sake going to live together. How many people here. Perfect so because no one is perfect. That's why we should forgive each other. Because don't you want to be given an understood because sometimes what we do may be wrong on. I'm not start until this is good of introduction to the people from keio cam but maybe we shouldn't blame anyone because you want to find out the reason the person my of broken down may have got lost just told his this morning to somebody that one of my close friends. We were schoolteacher. Now he was. We were school together. And he told me that after he graduated i went off to become a monk and he became a schoolteacher but he wanted to do something really important so he chose one of the roughest schools in london in one's worth and he said one morning when his class came into school one of the children's spat on the floor in front of him. He's a clean that up and then the the students said the f. word this rough school in wadsworth in south lada. So you had to go said straight to the principal. The principal came back about an hour later and said the reason why he did that was last night. His father beats his mother and his mother had to sort of leave. The home and the whole family was screwed up and this boy is about eleven years old was devastated by what he saw and the family. He didn't like his father. Mother who loved dearly was beaten so badly by his dad is inex- incense is inexcusable. To spit inside the f. Word your teacher you can understand. Maybe why he said that and sometimes we could only understand why people do these things. It makes it much easier to forgive not to excuse but to give to understand so you shouldn't have done that but maybe because we understand why you did that. Maybe we can find some solution not just punishment which doesn't really address the problems for some understanding of how we can actually move forward from there. Solve the problems the same husbands and wives. You know that sometimes people in perth come up to me. And i know both of the women washes a wonderful lady. The husband's a great guy and the children of the lesson. Both the calm of each other. What are the children save. Mommy what are the children said. Daddy that they love them. Why comey take that and spread out to one another as husband and wife so sometimes every now and again you can just get the right message and get these people to live together with more peace and harmony and to see some thinking the other person which i respect and love. You know what happens in relationship. Sometimes we see what we like the other person. We see all the mistakes the two bad weeks in the wall. You know that story and sounds so we say too bad. Greeks does anything else. You see the wife too bad breaks. What are the museum mouth true.

Just dismiss ray as a human being worthy of a sons just like member last week. I threw you across the room. It was a swimming pool. This this was your dad trying to get revenge. Look at him neck. Yes i do. Expect to be added to this. By the way sam on friday smackdown tomorrow smackdown. I the thing about the tag championship on. Smackdown is the dominant. Ray have them so like you know. I don't think that's going to be it. You could maybe. You know. I i feel like i wish there was a little bit more for big e. It seems like Stuff has slowed down a little bit for biggie in the last few weeks. But i don't know. I mean there's no story king corbin and you could do that. You could do corbin inch and have some kind of crown stipulation like maybe it's own official king of the ring match. You know what you could do. Forbidden shinsegei king of the ring match and then have some kind of schmaltz finish and then decide. Okay we gotta do a king of the ring tournament. Yeah you know something like that. I don't want to king of the ring tournament or not. But yeah i mean i could see corporate and even though we've seen coordination's gave her single week like at least make they wrestle for two minutes total. It's not burned out. we're not burned out on it. Yeah and i mean putting boots on paper view thing in the world. So yeah i i could see doing and making it. This one is for the crown the winner of this match regardless of who is in physical possession of the crown. The winner of this match is the king. That'd be the way to do it for me. I think maybe they give gender a win and establish on the show and then he costs through the match. Ginger can have their feud at summerslam Not a suggestion. Just in any of salmon and o. I think people thought they headed towards a helena sell match kind of just. Have that moment for this this epoch. Viewed of this generation with so many incarnations places at stake in place. When you're not gonna add match but they could you know the the show doesn't need another match. They're trying to stack up minutes anymore. You know this isn't the burials wilson era where it's like. They wanna brag about engagement numbers. They've got their peacock money and so they're just trying to get in and out especially in the thunderdome era without a live crowd. So i don't think we're going to add a match. But i'm just seeing if anything jumps out and i guess the only other one from smackdown that could be added would be sammy and keio or like you said something with cruise but i think they also want to save matches for smackdown feel fresh. Yeah boost down. So that's where i think they're like. Yeah let's let's save a couple of these four tv and to keep fox happy. I think that's probably right. Actually that's a good point. Yeah well we can tie ribbon around it there. I think we covered.

Because the album ryan during he did features on everything because you know he he has because everyone was telling it was because he felt like he wasn't doing enough features and so he was like i'm gonna do features. He said that cannery. That's what i'm saying. Because he had to say okay. So i'm trying to remember. It was j cole. It was on everything under the sun. That i think the son i forget. What dream bill. Yeah yeah that was a big warm that jaco featured in ville affects child though a middle child and the dream bill album revenge greenville. Yeah isn't that. yeah but his. What is that. That's his label that the album from dream battle with album name was in ninety trying to say is during that time like how chris mentioned for the entire year he just features a lot of people who listen to other artists. Started listening to jay cole. It's features yeah. He was doing features. I mean that sounds. That's all features. Were before that How do i say like before that. If you ask anyone like oh do you. Listen to jay cole. On a not even line. I would ask a lot of people who said they were cole. Fans knew all said was like. Oh i i listened to motivate in mike k. k. Might that. I don't like this but there were definitely a lot of people who still fuck who jake homemade lives with the album. Think i i agree with your point that the features that he was doing when keio de dropped and when arena veltrop brian and a lot of the newer casual sands which is why off season is getting such a like critical reception. Because there's a lot more people might not be his. I truly believe that made people stay. "Darren josh. good to see you guys. How's it going good. Let's be you're so happy to be here so glad to have you guys the number one film in theaters this weekend. Which is quite an accomplishment as people are vaccinated and coming back into theaters. So congrats on that. Thank you I and we're gonna we're gonna get into a lot of stuff today but we always start with breaking in stories and it just kind of gives a good place for folks to kind of learn who you are what you do darren. I'm from city. It seems like you grew up in kansas as well. Where'd you go to high school. Went a shiny. Mr south to china mission north. About ten minutes from you. So it's iowa's i know i know it's crazy. I've met so many so many people out here now from kansas which is which is just crazy. That's that's awesome and what what made you move out here. Did you study film out here. What what brought you in los angeles. so i I went to ku. I majored in theater and film and keio I left after two years. It just wasn't my thing I just felt like if i really wanted to do it. I needed to get out of my comfort zone. And i think that you know being born and raised in kansas. All my friends were there. I needed to wipe the slate clean. Start over so. I went to florida. But how i got involved was when i was in kansas. I would answer every ad that i would find the paper about filmmaking and there was. There's there's a scene for filmmaking no matter where you live. I don't care if you live in boise idaho. y'all stay angeles. It doesn't matter where you are. People are making movies. So i i got on every set that i could came through kansas. There was a lot of really schlocky horror films which i was. I was on every one of them is like fourteen fifteen sixteen years old And then yeah. I went to florida to a place called full sail university. Which is a film. School did that. And then I left full sail and went to l. a. and for years it was the classic the classic store you hear about i. Was you know. I was a pa. I was an assistant. I was bad at both. I was fired from all And then i wrote. I wrote a script called the desperate. Which is kind of. It was kind of my therapy about my desperation in hollywood.

Fred Albert's Carl Paulson, Bill Radzinsky, Mark Carnevale, Jason Sobel with US this afternoon. Also five players sharing the lead at three under par. Keegan Bradley, Victor Hovland. Looks. Capta and Aaron Wise finished at three under par and Branden Grace, putting together the day's best round 300 parts. He is getting set to make the turn playing the 18th his ninth hole the day Brad. What if he thought so far? Well, I just think it's spectacular. I think the scoring is better than I thought. These players are so good. This course is so intimidate visually off the tee pee. Nah list I created Ah lot of holes. We kind of wanna hit a drawer of fade off the off the tee, and you got to do the opposite into the green. It's quite challenging and then depending on what side you teach He often you can have. Ah, Long stretch holds down. When were you played nine holes on the road down with And all of a sudden you make this turn of this 14th hole in the event haven't had to hit a shot low. You know about a month, and then all of a sudden you're hitting that 14th hole in a long iron in there. It's It's beautiful. I mean, what they've created out of these dunes, these artificial dues to be able to come out here and anybody can come player right and have major championships at Ryder Cups. It's It's an unbelievable setting The par 5/7 is one of those down wind holes, and that's where we find Mark Carnevale, after holing out at the park for six will sell tours. Second shot at the par 57 family back great portion of green. Now inside of 45 ft, as the ball works up a slope now.

"Co leader, Martin layered his 18th hole. 474 yards today. And Carl that's 31 yards up from where they could play it. Yeah, thank goodness for these players, Brian, that they have moved this tea up to 4 74 today. That the sound of the tee shot of Ah co leader Martin Layered. He just dropped a shot at the 17th quick to pick that TF and he has hit the fairway, but he has got a really long second shot. Here at the par 4/18, currently three under par. That fact is in the fair. We will give him some options, but that is the key. It's right now. Lair tied for the lead with Keegan Bradley at three under over to the other side of the course and Fred Albert. Massive drive out of Bryce into Shambo leaves him just a wedge into the green at our par 46. When coming off the right hand side. And is down. Huge pelt of a David and Bryson looks down as if he's disappointed nothing wrong with that guessing he wanted to be closer. But that's in the 2015 FT range and make a birdie upcoming for Bryce into Shambo, who stands at two over playing the par 4/6. He is five shots off the lead, Martin Layered and Keegan Bradley three under par leading the way on a windswept Thursday in the opening round here. Kio Island from the ocean Court to Keio Island. You know, if you're gonna survive them, these little insight might pull the middle back. I don't know where we need to. Why didn't I think of that? I don't know what the plastic in the car Why do we need to have a handout cocktail to somebody this driving? Well, it's it's not. It's not that it's it's the ability to help the restaurant tour. You know who they make good money on the on the cellar alcohol now, and so when the the to go business and the pickup business became so big during the pandemic. You know, because You never shut down. So the way I handled it, Okay, So I pull up to the railhead to get a sliced and order fries and blood was one of those cold beers. Yes. You want a schooner? I want a schooner. They're not going to give you the scooter. Charlie's not going to give you the big glass frozen scholar. But he might be able to give you the beautiful white plastic cups with the real hon logo on the side with a cold beer, and it wrapped up. Yeah, I know Charlie's gonna argue another. Can we put traffic off another 10 minutes or so? Because I think house got about five or six other eating establishments. He wants to have a good time period. Right? No, because I go to the drive of a thrill hit all the time. Okay, I do that right right now that I can get, you don't need to know that I could get a cold beer there now. Because I don't want to go there anymore than I already did. Right People ice chest full of beer in your back seat. I don't want to start going twice a day. It right. I got you. But I'm sure Charlie's gonna argue with bill that I don't know where the good Is it handing out a mixed drink or a beer to somebody driving again, though I mean it Z supposed to be packaged and wrap to a point that it's Do you have to? Hey, do you have to buy food with it? Well Under the initial waiver, you could only serve liquor to go in manufactured sealed bottles with the purchase of food. Now that way was part of an effort to kind of keep him going. Then he had the extension that allowed restaurants in certain bars with a mixed beverage permit to sell mixed drinks to go is well for delivery. All right. Okay, You can sell drinks containing two still spirits as long as they're mixed and sealed by the business itself with the business's name on the container. They're gonna be sealed. Yeah. Going? I would imagine the businesses. Well, I'm not gonna say it again. Okay? You pull over and on ceiling, I would imagine the liability on businesses that do this is gonna be phenomenal. Well, I mean shit, Jack. Yeah, That's true. You could buy you a liquor store. Good. Let him get the name was driving could open and sure get in the car Just from a package store. Let him let him get the name. And so when you go to where do you go? Sorry. What do you have a bottle? I don't need to do this. I'm here because kings Yeah. Okay. So when you go to Keio, so stop, you're making it sound like I'm getting a kickback. Er said you get hold of it. No, you're not. When you pull over to the side, you could open the bottle there like he says. Oh, my God, You're right. So you pull into that. You know you're you're just absolutely right. I.

They have a lot of priorities and none of them. Are you? Let's go to the phones, Shall we? For one out of the C b m 60? 8100 wcbm 6 80. We started the top, My buddy Bob and Parkville. Hello, Bob. Christmas Once again. Merry Christmas to you, too. Thank you very much. Under programs for Pakistan never worked. It's gonna wind up in politicians hands over there. Of course it well, it's possible. Yeah, it's a big thing here. So religion this world women are second crazy best. Yeah, but you can't say that, though, Bob, we can't point that out that you're going against their religion. And if you if you tried to do something like that here if you If you said Hey, if you pastor of just a meaningless resolution that no woman should be forced to where I had job, the left would go absolutely insane, saying, Who are you to judge? It's their faith and they could do whatever they want, and Ilhan Omar would be down on the house floor. Calling you every form of bigot You can possibly imagine. Imagine what I'll be calling her and return. Oh, I certainly can. We have a family friendly show here, Bob. You and I off air over a beer. I'm sure we could come up with a few crazy terms for all of these people. My father important baseball for 52 years. I'm interim professional. He never made any kind of exactly did that. Well, Negro is here and boil until he did, but It's a long time ago. We had a saying, Keep swinging. You won't strike at. That's what I feel about. You know, you keep swinging. You won't strike out. But this business has got to stop. At $10 million could then use for American citizen for education purposes with it. Uh, the poor and so forth Schoolbooks and all this but well and that the 15 million for promoting democracy there. Now look, Bob, see if there was a demonstrated liberation movement, or Doma pro democracy movement. That came about on its own, and they were doing great work and really fighting the good fight and we wanted to help them. I could understand that, but they spend this money as seed money. They throw it around the people in the hopes of starting something. Like democracy has to be one freedom has to be wanted. And you know if you're not willing to come to that conclusion yourself than getting you money is only going to get you to say because you've become dependent on the money. Here's $10 million for fighting for democracy, So, yeah, I talk about democracy, but I got $10 million You make no progress because you don't really care. And next year you need another $10 million because you've got to keep talking about democracy. There are people in warlords and corrupt government officials. Who make their living off of conning the United States of America into a foreign head of the Taliban when we were fighting over there originally Was named Omar was any relation to the one and in the Mullah Omar know Omar was his first. Omar was his first name girl that was shot. I was going to bring it up to you. I'm glad you brought it up shot in the face. He was glad you stepped aside. They That poor girl. By miracle she lived. On. She's still fighting for your freedom for the girls. It was there. I understand that and all that, but They ever seen 9 2000 and nine This administration first year of Keio Barack Obama. Hey one they Nobel Prize. He had only been in office for six months, and everyone said for what? That same year That girl was shot. He wasn't even nominated. That she eventually won, Though she did the thing about the Nobel peace prizes. It takes their there behind their very far behind the times. It's rarely something that happened in that calendar year. Obama numb The Obama win was a damn joke. Yeah, but that's a story for the American people. With this administration is about to come in the Penguin's party. I didn't like the guy, but I like what he did on their asses for us. This city is concerned with 23 28 murders now. That people will never understand it, including this punk got for mayor. He wants the whole mystic ways to to do away with murderers. Antonia Sonny. The only time you can get away with this You have 1000 men is very guys. You got to come up with 5000. It's called overwhelming force when you have that kind of overwhelming force. You were you reduce the possibility of losing too many men of your own. You also Bob have to put away criminals and we have you know, Maryland most be really interested in that we have We have prosecutors across the country who are refusing to prosecute crimes because they've deemed those crimes to be insignificant. Well, it's a it is a there's dots to connect all you're not going to prosecute drug use or drug possession, okay? Then you're not going to prosecute prostitution. Okay, So you get hooked on drugs. You start using drugs, and you're like, Well, why not go with a prostitute? Then you're not going to then suddenly you become a little bit violent. There. Well, you can't go after that. It's not severe. It's not. And then you end up needing a gun to protect yourself because you're going off the deep end and illegal gun. So you've got that. And then sooner or later, somebody ends up dead. It's very rare. Does somebody enter the world of crime or a life of crime? By their first act being shooting somebody murdering somebody? It is a slippery slope. It is a first step somewhere along the lines, and if you.

"All Right Tom. You have just like dummy xbox at your house, but what is going on? You just plastic shells. He's just making videos with like should I tell you the story of week? So. They arrived on. Monday morning and like like I'm grumpy wouldn't say old berm like it and I knew phone and we get new laptop and he does know me I, know that sounds like. And and I'm like I mean a really fortunate position. But like once you've seen so much stuff once visited location. So many times he just doesn't. It's not exciting, right? So He's very me to get sight about technology but like Jane genuinely when opened up the series was like, wow, this is. Not. Excited by a brand new laptop with the latest graphics card a super fast processor and a ton of Ram Beautiful Four K. screed but you were excited by a plastic dummy box of the xbox series. And I don't know why. But it was late is is a deny it sounds really like fan boil some. It sounds like he was like Christmas I was like Oh this is so. Because I haven't seen it before. And I knew other people hadn't seen before. So is an element of that but it was also just like Michael being so small like how did how did they do this? That was my immediate thing was like how like will? It right. They haven't told me anything about it at this point. So they just sent me these damn dummy units and I was just like. BSO The dummy units arrived they respond to be I mean there was supposed to be announcing this thing next week. So there's going to be a bunch of like. Honey. Technical. In Belgrade, sessions where briefings for the press, so they give us the full information so that we'd have our goals like informative for people to read. That's great involved because like it just means that I can explain things better. readers get better pitcher and but then it leaked. So I woke up I can't even remember which day it leaked because it's just been such a week. But it leads at some point. Jews Wednesday. Up, and I was like Oh God like zoo happen, and then like that will C- kick Mike soft intellect panic mode we need to announce everything because everything's leaked. So they like just dumped the whole thing. The experts pricing everything. This is a trend because Google does this now and the thing leaks that just like Oh. Yeah. Okay. That's Just did it with the wing? Yeah. Well, I mean L. L G announces every single practice makes fifty times so. Count. But it's a pattern. We might as well, just announce it. We're done I think I think with Marxist cases that I've been. Flight. Will to years. Alongside bunch of reposes will. But like I think for them, it was like they needed to explain his fingers like the thing suspending. Well, this is the experts series S. His basically a smaller more budget friendly and and let's say less performance. Experts console than the bigger experts series X, which I'm sure most people listening to this probably familiar with Bono and it's basically designed for fourteen Philippi gaming. So like that's I, mean I'd say the vast majority of Mona's out there today that people gaming on the moment. East acton on the TV's and stuff but like this is a pretty good. Sweets book fully Philippi right now, spy from the PC side and. It's like a good talk. And they basically promising a symbol of architecture and all of the next gen premiums from the series. Excellent. CPU cloud under two hundred megahertz. The thing I care about is, does it have the the fast d at the series extras? Yeah. It does but it's five hundred, twelve storage instead of one terabyte. So there are no right. There's no Dr. Discloses all digital. Is Two hundred, ninety nine buffs, which is, which is good. I think it's like that's a pretty impressive for us but this is obviously the the the drawbacks to it. No disks will do diesel prices. If Games are typically higher yields, he can't use use games I think a lot to see Sonia my soul. In some way I'd love to just say my district sorted signing just digitize as well. I think we spoke about that on the way I look at like this series s is I think he's great life. If you kid you place fort like twenty, four, seven in bed, remove ten ADP TV because you haven't spent. Two Thousand Bucks on the Keio lead for them. Surprisingly. Like. I think I. Think it's great for that sold market like having. By that for Free Hundred Bucks and they get the new CPU the new ESA stays below times and the performance overall will be like way better than expos one. Like it just depends how it compares to the to the series x I. Think like they're doing some upscaling stuff for four K. if you really want to touch, it's a four K.. By Donna, how good that's going to be. That misses the point like. Different market. But what is the market for fourteen forty game I mean When you say monitors get it but most people with fourteen forty P monitors plugging PC's into them not consoles I is fourteen forty pm out. So I think the market is really ten API. which which is the TV's. Still turn EP like I would probably imagine the forty percent Stilton apr there at the moment. And I think that goes wildly up when you look at bedrooms and like kids rooms like where you're buying a typically smaller TV and you're not gonNA get e can't even by like a smaller lighter the twenty. Shit Four. K. TV. It's just they just don't exist. Although maybe they do but like. Just don't sell volume and I think that that's the market. That's the market ICS. Definitely. Going for like the MOMS and the POPs the shopping around at Christmas and they want to get their gear console they want to get something this noon and stuff, and these things only gonNA come down in price. So to me the market for the series S is. Why definitely have to buy a playstation because I want to get those games and if Playstation maybe I'll get the best one because I don't know what's going on the cheaper one about they're going to do there. And so if I've done that I still kind of want an xbox because I'm thinking about getting this Xbox game pass thing because he all these games on it. But I don't want to have to big ass consuls my living room saw the the cheaper xbox. I'll get the cheaper xbox to play Xbox Game Pass Games, and then I'll get the more expensive PSI to be like my main console that I get like my kick ass four K. stuff on it is. So blindingly clear which one of you has a child in which one doesn't. Just putting. Very obvious. How your perspectives shifted. Like I would say game passes Tom to your point you the game passes the thing here right? Like, yeah. If this is a Fox for your second TV or your kids TV, then what you need is a cloud gaming service. They can address all the xboxes right. And if you don't have a disk, doesn't matter because all the Games on the cloud anyway and you're just moving licenses around and maybe you're going to get to to streaming games in this thing, will be able to stream the games right like. You kinda see where they're going is these are just sort of client units for an xbox service with different GPS. Yeah. Exactly. It's different. Slight different economic you a bunch of specs and people who've been tweet me thousand times a minute this week. But you can argue a bunch of stuff to the essential differences between the two is the once targeting Larry's Lucien Melissa's and TV's and the EVA's talkative. Okay. Like that. That's that's basically the basic gist of the if you were really simplifier. And I think the cheap one is really gonNA appealed to the experts getting pulse market. Like that. Is Probably the best for you and gave me right now like I. Think it's very. Apple, arcade. Lately, just added a play or that it didn't add it to base expos game policies to the almost see have to you have to pay the all of the xbox names are bad and confusing. And then there's the P. C. There's the version that you can also play it on PC, which now costs more, right yes. Let's give me ten bucks a month by feel like that's I mean if you experts came all that covers you on anyway. So feel like you just. Denies. People go for the old anyway I think. So you've got the the series as the that will call the ten ADP model because I think it's functionally what it is even yeah basically forty nine. To Ninety nine, the series x, which is the four K. high refresh rate. Refrigerator refrigerator model. Model model is four ninety nine, which is actually still very aggressive and my mind and just based on what can do and then experts expensive. The Ninja xbox Game Pass Ultimate Yep is twenty five bucks a month in. Fifteen a month. But if you pay more and then you get a box out of it to write for twenty four months, you you you pay the subsidize. It's like a phone plan. Basically you get you pay a little bit more and then you a paying down your hardware and installments and it's basic. Tech Industry only has one business model which is. And T. in two, thousand and four. Yeah. But right. But that's a killer deal right that she ended up paying less over the twenty four months than you would. If you bought them separately right when you can get either right for the Yup can get the X. which I think is four, nine, nine a month I think. Five month or twenty five, the S. I I see that I'm like I'm just GonNa. I'm just GONNA, X.. Whatever like I am going to do the dumb starbucks, which is it's three coffees Erlich whatever. AM. And that is just a brilliant move for Microsoft, right? Yeah. Basically make an expensive thing seemed cheap even as maybe in the end, it's only slightly cheaper than buying everything out right?

Learnings From Empty Billboards Near The Airport

"I drove some friends to the airport here in Keio because I finally got the repatriation fly back to Thailand, and like many reports of course the last few kilometers before you hit the airport on the side of the highways, you, these Massey billboards, and they're always full. They've always gone advertisers on them. The only time you'll see a blank space up there is when they're transitioning one ad for another, but yesterday I reckon about half empty and they weren't transitioning. And, so I said to myself. What can we learn from that? Well, the first thing is it's a real sign that businesses bad and I'm not sure that you want to tell the world. You'll bad. Do you I mean I think we all understand now. That businesses bad, but those sort of images because it's such a stock image. You're used to sing at full of now. You've got blank screens. It's the sort of thing that I think you would remember. You're a potential advertisers. You'RE GONNA remember that in the future when you think about placing those ads almost billboards, and you promise not such a great business maybe. So I wouldn't take the billboards empty. But what could they have done instead? Well the most obvious I think would be to just keep. The old adds up I. Mean Your previous customers had paid for the ads? Anyway? Machinery, we pay the bills, of course so why not give them a little bit of free airtime because you're not selling them anyway? The other thing you can do of causes advertise the advertising space. You know your adhere seeing those from time to time. And you could do combination of both you could actually put. Up Put big sticker on that says you know your head could be here. That would be one way you could keep them busy. The other thing I stopped thinking about these. Maybe, people don't want to buy anymore in that space ever, but you will because I think everyone assume that flights are gonNA. Come back at some point in the future. We're GONNA fly, and that real estate is the only way to get to the airport essentially, so people are GonNa, see those ads. And, so if they came out with the right deal, pay now use light or something like that. Get creative about the marketing and stick it up on those big billboards I reckon you could actually sell them and get some revenue in now to see through that spot. And the other thing that I think is really interesting. Because I started. Thinking about what happens to those advertisers. Where are they going now? Are They not advertising at all, or am I just going to a small spend? and. That's where I think the opportunity for a lot of your AL businesses think about the you go to a conference on a vein during your industry magazines, you see the big companies, the big brands advertising. Well now they don't have the events. Maybe the magazines aren't going out anymore. And or maybe they just trying to save on the budget, so if you've got a customer database yourself. If you've got sight thousand people on your mailing list, or you've got a few hundred members than maybe you can reach out to those brands and say listen for a few hundred bucks for thousand Bucks I'll send out a private to older. My members I will actually help you. Is a much much more audience of course than what they used to, but you price it accordingly. The process cheap gives them another way to stay relevant and stay in touch, and it also makes it much more personal so I think there's lessons him. These blank billboards and I think there's lessons in what's happening around advertising and promotion right now and in those lessons I think are opportunities like that one so i. I would be heating up those big brands. You normally see it events or magazines. You know you know they are in your industry. Hit them up and say well. What can I do to help you promote your business. And how much is it worth to you because you might find yourself able to earn a little bit of revenue on the side, and that might be the difference between getting you making you. Between you being able to see the other side of this thing or not or

AI Changing the Workforce, Interview with Valerio De Stefano

"Hello and welcome to the AI today. Podcast I'm your host Kathleen. I'm your host Ronald Schmeltzer. Our guest today is of Alario Distefano. Who is professor of labor law at Keio Leuven Hive Alario? Thank you so much for joining us on today. Thanks so much for the action thrilled to have you. Welcome Valerio and thanks for joining us. We'd like to start by having you introduce yourself to our listeners and tell us a little bit about your background and your current role especially as it relates to artificial intelligence for so professor of Labor Law the University of love and in Belgium and before debts I was some Offi several stage National Labor Office. Which is a you and specialized agency that deals with everything that concerns labor and work there. I started working on technology. Impacts on labor may be working for a number of years about platform worth in the economies and he was the first time I started to reflect on automated management platforms. Vastly use technology to manage NBC. Fine Worse for instance. They allocate us in worksheets using. Gps and you. Software to constantly monitor work by collecting for instance customer reviews on cutting out of the Latham's workers debts on a meet. That very high on this that is required to be met are for taking screen shots of people that were aligned to show their clients that they are actually working so blaffer work as being used as a pilot for management by But management by algorithms is much broader than that so my interest come from the label sides and when we talk about and management and automation and occupy. It affects the workplace. Well we see that. A loss of the debate is about the wanting of jobs. How many jobs we'RE GONNA LOSE COMMISSION WE? They're all but still my competent job or not so much on the quality side of it's our technology is gonNA impact on my every day working life out not used to write my performance discipline my work so I think an researcher I am trying to fill these gaps. San One of the ways between these by editing a special issue of a journal Competitive Labor Law and policy are now that's east about automation artificial intelligence and labor protection and especially should we gather he contribution of many labor experts. Sociology economies lawyers investor relations specialists to investigate out technology. Easings reducing the workplace The facts our worke life beyond question all losing jobs. Yeah that was a really interesting insight. Thank you so much for your input on that you know. Some employers are having their employees use wearable tools that track emotions and stress by collecting data on heartbeats and the tone of voice for example. So you say that. Most of these practices should be urgently restricted because losing one's privacy especially their internal privacy mental privacy arguably threatens one of the core elements of being human. Can you explain to us why you say this? And what data. You may have to show how it can be misused so having a system the trucks your emotions and read your facial expressions or the tone of your voice is percents agreed invasion of our private sphere impersonality so basically when these options. I'm giving a data concern my most privates. In evening we will aspects the most private People of my life my thoughts my emotions and in some cases I might not even be much aware of these emotions of deceased themselves so basically managers know more about me they night about myself and these basically economic up on stress levels in general is generates huge information asymmetry now permission cement always being there at the workplace but he's really tilting the scale on the employer side. This is why. I think this should be restricted in a way because we are experiencing something that was completed America off in the past. The facts that employers manages can read my mind now so the question is not about Audi St that are be misuse. It is the very thing collection of the data. That should be called into question using us. His answer no in my mind better and faster than I women to share busy formation with other people percent abuse so we do not need data on specific issues is practice already are issues pursuing my. You know it's interesting because data is at the heart of AI and people have been freely giving away their data for many years in exchange for free services. And I think for a while we weren't even thinking about it we were just signing up giving away information leading different companies and systems and apps that we were using track us and didn't think twice about it but what happens when the workplaces start requiring employees to use these tools that collect data on them you know such as facial recognition technology or wearable tools that are able to track a variety of different things. This is where it starts to get. Maybe a little bit more gray where we're not necessarily giving it out so freely but almost being more fired too. So what have you seen discussed around this subject with regards to laws and regulations so first of all as a lawyer? I feed the assumption that people even customers even as the mets F- truly consented to give away all. These data is percent questionable. Now when we started to get away those day that when we hey member of facebook or twitter or whatever we did we could not imagine how far reaching implications of data could be an Audi. St could use it was not a manageable of the point. And even if this was describing fine prints in thousands of pages of terms of references. Nobody haven't read those sense of Serres. Now if we want to give you becky ambulance seeker lawyer. I mean it can be enough. Yes you gave your consent to even read the fine print so bad for you but as a society any tens of policy we need also to question much consent in our bailable and valued consent loss when we start to all these away now acids from days when it comes to employment fierce. Give bits even more complicated because employment is percent. Somebody us. Fowler's augured the other party at employers in any legal system as some amount of authority over workers they can be supplying the workers. They can monitor their work. The director work so it is already unbalanced situation. And when it comes to employment because of these unbalance consent is really never to be taken for goods in the sense that most people don't have a choice whether to work or not whether to apply for a job or not whether to be subject to certain vises tools than that monitoring techniques or not so there is not each choice and therefore there is not a free

Behind the scenes at the humanitarian air hub dispatching COVID-19 aid to African nations

"Face mosques a million of them just some of the precious cargo being dispatched to all corners of Africa by the UN as the continent braces for the spread of cove in nineteen managing. This huge task is Amanda Dowdy Senior Director of Operations for the World Food Program will WFP in online interview with you. An uses Daniel Johnson Jordanian national. Mr Dodie takes us behind the scenes at the agency's humanitarian hub in the European capital. Addis Ababa where a U N Wide Supply Chain. Operation is now in full swing. The flights game some came from China on some came from Dubai. It was a combined shipment of Jack Ma Foundation and who own supplies? They arrived in Addis on Tuesday and from there we are moving only consignments to almost fifty countries across Africa so far we have moved up to thirty countries and every day we are completing that consignment right so on the ground then from Addis Ababa. You've reached around thirty countries as you say what's the the final figure Africa now if we African country which ones have called for help. And how is the decision taken about which ones are helped look going to all the African countries in accordance with ovulation in accordance with needs? But the most in need are where the number of cases are flaring up. We have cases in west Africa in Senegal as well as in southern Africa and flights. Today just give me a picture of actually what's happening on the ground in Addis at the humanitarian hub. Everything is working. We allocate the basically parcel or or kit the cargo in accordance to fly throughout that we have so the lanes will depart at this angle to multiple countries. Come back and pick up again. Another would go to multiple vendors. Of course we're using several airplanes in order to reach a maximum. I think today the plan is for thirty countries to receive the locations today and what particular protocols are in place to prevent caveat nineteen transmission. We follow all the procedures in terms of the guidelines of w the national health guidelines. That are in place the social distancing but we also are in a way in even when we transfer Scott Every manager in place including spraying the planes in short that there is no cross contamination even from parcells coming so we follow according to a yet according to Keio we are abiding by these owes to the letter in terms of what happened today when it reaches the country in question. How is the aid distributed? And how you show that. It's getting to where it needs to go. It's the handed over to the Ministry of of the Spectrum Authority of the member states. It's not exactly going to UN agencies or NGOs this is going to member states and the government authorities W in coordination with the local government authorities ensures that all the aid or assistance in terms of medical supplies goes to work. It is neat. Could you say this is an historic sort of arrangement to show solidarity in terms of keeping supply chains going because the secretary general has expressed a lot of concern about global supply chains when code actually hits because yes African countries that have been affected already? But it's really nothing compared with what is going to happen. This was the first flight from Addis. Ababa it was the first test for the international hub as transshipment on to the rest of Africa but also in terms of passenger because as part of our response to call with is a neighboring humanitarian and the health responding to reach the countries. And we are going to be using episode for establishing passenger service again to East Africa would be establishing multiple bessinger services. Because as you know commercial air traffic is moralists suspended so we will be establishing these passenger services to ensure that responders humanitarian workers and all the personnel needed to mitigate a fight. This virus can arrive in countries where they need to and they can also leave where they need to go so we are enabling the humanitarian and responds. To be able to mitigate against this virus. This is Africa. Were talking about. So how is the World Food Program helping places like Yemen? Syria Wall Art of the hub. Will also be providing. It's not only for Africa. It we will be using part of the others as well or Yemen for example but this is not the only in Africa we would have one enact ca one in this above and one in South Africa we have a hop ensue bank in Malaysia for Asia and we have a hump in Dubai for the Middle East. And we have a hub in Panama for Latin American for Central America. So these are all going to be coming online as we speak and they would serve as the respective regions both in terms of cargo as well as in terms of personnel the eventual aim is to help ninety five countries in total all. Actually probably it's GONNA reach almost Henry Than Twenty affected countries so we have the capacity to scale up as needed of course if the funding is provided of course and. How much funding do you need? You're asking what three hundred fifty million dollars. How much do you have so far? We entered sixty was initial request. Now we are revising these figures depending on the data that we are getting supplies. As the sourcing and manufacturing increases we will be increasing our air assets in order to make sure that the supplies getting time to the affected countries enter the countries that needs.

Collings Foundation B-17

"Her first item from the NTSB this is NTSB issues seven safety recommendations to FAA related to ongoing lionair and ethiopian airlines crash investigations so is the headline indicates the NTSB's issued these seven safety recommendations the FAA he and i think is everyone probably knows the NTSB cannot order the FAA to ex- accept any of them and sometimes the FAA does sometimes they don't well these particular concerns are about the the multiple alerts in indicators that are considered when making assumptions as part of design safety assess commits and these are derived from the NTSB's examination of the safety in assessments that were conducted as part of the original design of the m. s. boeing's maneuvering characteristics augmentation system on the seven three seven max and the chairman of the NTSB robertson walt said we saw in these two accidents that the crews did not react in the ways boeing in the FAA assumed they were would he says those assumptions were used in the design of the airplane and we found a gap between the assumptions used to certify the max and real world experiences of these crews where pilots were faced with multiple alarms and alerts at the same time he says it is important to note that our safety recommendation report addresses that issue and does not analyzed the actions of the pilots involved in the lion air and ethiopian airlines since that analysis is part of the ongoing accident investigations by the respective authorities well what do you guys think this is i think interesting way to look at it at least you know this pass at it NTSB believes that the pilots would react in a certain way when the sirens started going off the m started activating and things just didn't work out that way what i really like about the recommendations divided into three specific areas in the first one says ensure system safety assessments for the seven thirty seven max and this is the part i like and other transport category airplanes that you certain assumptions about pilot response to uncommanded flight control inputs and consider the effects of alerts and indications i like the fact that they put in and other transport cabinet lori airplanes so that this isn't just going to be applied to one aircraft yes the NTSB as looking at this kind of system wide and not re cricketing the the the core issues here too just the circumstances with seven three seven max so that's good there's other other categories mike of recommendations here from the NTSB yeah they talk about incorporating robust tools and methods for validating those assumptions about pilot response and incorp rating system diagnostic tools to improve the prioritization is what it says clearly present failure indications the pilots to improve the timeliness and effectiveness response but what was interesting there was another story as well that unfortunately i can't get into right now because it was the financial times and it's not living in without being able to log in but it's about highlighting the importance of human factors that no company should ignore and especial and basically it talks about pilot overload and that's a lot of the things took place and what's interesting to me about that is didn't the air force did some big studies about pilot overload when they were dividing their fighters because there was so much information that by side to take into account right and apparently they didn't consider this in the in transport category aircraft in human factors his that's an area where it's easy make assumptions and unless you kind of test those assumptions there's no guarantee that as we see here that the the real world variances going to match with those assumptions because i don't know maybe there are people that are look at human factors from scientific st endpoint but it to me it just feels less quantifiable and therefore more more difficult to ensure that you're going to get the the reaction from the pilots that that you anticipate there's a lot of psychology that goes into that later stay yeah yeah what they should have done was put people in the simulator and see what happened at didn't get done so well and put people in the simulator that don't know what's about to happen and in an overly overly simplified cinematic version is what you saw in the tom hanks hudson movie where you know they were overdrive by the birds hit and cruising the simulators immediately diverted and made it to tito berg and the tom okay and the character said way we spent time trying to figure out what's going on macomb wait for whatever it was thirty five seconds to figure out what's going on and then some they couldn't make it and this may be a example in real life of what was cinematic -ly over-simplified in who've it's giving time for the crew to figure out okay some klaxons going off all right let's start looking at buttons in an alert rosters or alert pants yeah that's that's very perceptive that the yeah it's a similar kind of a an issue from a standpoint of human factors and how people respond to the city relations well we've been talking about the i. KO assembly in canada that's been going on the international civil aviation asian organization and that assembly we see has approved going forward with corset which is a carbon offsetting reduction scheme for international aviation and the the assembly also committed itself to undertake the research needed to develop by twenty twenty two a roadmap for a long term climate goal for national aviation so for the most heart in there are some exceptions here but for the most part the the members of keio are dedicated to proceeding with this carbon offset kind of scheme that we've you know we've had some difficulty in the past we've seen some difficulty being implemented in the past there were three countries that objected to this though that being china india and russia and i'm not certain what their specific reasons were for not being in favour of moving ahead with this coursey program india you can kind of speculate and perhaps china to that they are trying hang to catch up let's say to the rest of the world in terms of industry capability aviation capability and they may be feeling that a carbon offset program would not work to the benefit of of their airlines their aviation industry in relation to the rest so the world that may be part of their motivation carbon offsetting is a tough word define and even looking at the page this talks about it doesn't really explain what it means i hear carbon offsetting i think oh that what are we gonna do plant a tree for every airplane takes off it it doesn't really explain it almost act i mean what they say is if you if you produce carbon and can't reduce it to the levels that you know are the are the target levels then you have to do something else or fund something else that has an offsetting kind of effect so in some ways it kind of is like planning tree if you're gonna produce carbon and you can't reduce your carbon footprint to the again to the the level specified for for your industry segment than you gotta go out and do something else and then the other the other way that sometimes this is done is is with a marketplace where carbon credits can be what and sold and i think that approaches one where you're trying to create some economic incentive to reduce your own carbon footprint if you don't then you have to go out and purchase credits in i guess in that case the revenue from your purchase of that credits goes toward towards funding these other kinds of programs that seek to reduce the carbon footprint

Lenovo ignores Galaxy Fold nightmare to unveil a folding OLED laptop

"There's a PC fold snow so cool. Lenovo in an effort to endlessly. Dilute its x one brand has a thing. Prototype. Foldable literally has nothing in common with the DNA of ThinkPad the screen that folds, so imagine like Samsung's phone without a screen on the outside just the big screen on the inside. But it's a laptop a thirteen point three inch four three to Keio led display inside a book sized a form factor is and you look like a dork. If you wanna software keyboard up on it could be radically type on it, apparently, they're going to think of shipping. It's twenty twenty sounds like maybe maybe Intel will have better processors by then. But. Ideally on. I think this is this is a form factor that if, if it's operational right in it doesn't break and the crease isn't bonkers, which hyme did a video should definitely check it out. So you can see it in action. There is a notable crease when it's open. But you could open it up set it up on its key with a kick stand. And then you use an external keyboard. Right. So my ideal situation is like a B. B Y. Okay. Bring your own preferred bluetooth keyboard, right? Yeah. And know you have. Sure. Yeah. I feel like I could use a computer like that at a coffee shop. You know you put the put the Talbot up on its kick. Stan, you've got a bluetooth, keyboard. It's like the ipad foreign factor. Yeah, but it has a lot more flexibility because you can use it like a tablet you use it like a book. Yeah. Of you, saving the space of the laptop by folding the screen, but then carrying a full extended. Keyboard with. And like a wired mouse like that, to me is like I've made all the wrong trade-offs confidently, like this screen is a lot easier to carry around a laptop.
