"And he said, it's a it's a twenty four seven job for them. And they're always they're always on top of it. And that's all they think about. Live bitcoin. They a lot of them. Do. It's definitely true. It's easy to get in deep into the world. And those are the info he's also in the same opinion that is an investment unlike the stock market, right? He's he's not actually considering actually taking it down to your local diner or your or your haircut, or or your your your your corner store here and actually purchasing something, which is just wonderful. I love the fact that you know, bitcoin is as big as it is here in Keene where where we're doing the show. It's Keene New Hampshire. One of those the cities in the world that is the most I would say successful at getting local adoption as far as local businesses actually accepting it as a currency, and that I think is really important. And I think the more people that we can get to move here. As part of the New Hampshire freedom. I graciously the more of them that are into crypto currency the better like if you love freedom, and you don't care about crypto. You should still move to New Hampshire. But if you love crypto and freedom, then you really ought to move to New Hampshire because there's no better place, you know, to to to actually spend it in real life. It happens here. In fact, the radio as you mentioned, I I hadn't actually mentioned him on the area because I don't talk a whole lot about those those campaigns. But yes, we are doing radio advertising in the local keen area, the three two three you're trying to promote the new bitcoin embassy, actually, which which this guy who called should've taken the course because there's a point one on one course that Chris reedmen our Thursday night co host has been doing where.

"Beautiful Keene New Hampshire tonight. It's Ian Johnson. And Mark starting out with a couple of updates to some stories we've covered over the last week. And then months we got the latest on Cody Wilson who we've covered quite in. Depth over the last week here on free talk live and then. The founder of defense distributed and the creator of the liberator correct now he has been well, I guess he's resigned from defense distributed. We'll tell you more about that. But the biggest news of the day. Probably is Bill Cosby. Now sentenced for the I guess it was just let's see three to ten year sentence for sexually assaulting a former temple university employee at his home back in two thousand and four. So there were all kinds of accusations swirling around Bill Cosby, but only one ended up being brought to trial because likely due to the fact that many of them were, you know, more than a decade plus old case this one was fourteen years old. Yeah. These were you know, rather old allegations. And the jury, you know, listen to him came up with the conclusion that they came up with. And you know, that's how the system works is eighty one years old and blind is he fully blind or partially blind. I don't know he was described as blind like needing assistance blind. I see. Well, he's going to need a lot of assistance. I imagine behind bars because he's again in his eighties. And now been sentenced to three to ten years. Judge should be plenty of chocolate pudding pops. God. Judge Steven O'Neill handed down a sentence of no less than three years and no more than ten behind bars. And of course, it's worth pointing out that new behavior for eighty one year old males in the United States tend to not last much longer than seventy four on average. So blackmails usually don't last quite as long as other ethnicities for whatever the reasons might be. So there's a good chance that Bill Cosby is going to die in inside a prison cell. Yeah. I I don't really know what to say about it. I wouldn't have given him the sentence that I gave that that. He was given I would have stuck with house arrest. But nobody's going to listen to me anyway, because I'm an ex con. I don't think that prison is generally a good solution for most people prison is a place that you should put to my mind people who are a danger to society Bill Cosby is not a danger to society claim that he is still a danger. I mean, he's been allegedly molesting women for decades ostensibly, and if you can't get away from a, you know, him he's not attached in Hollywood at all anymore. Bill Bill Cosby's chop isn't gonna get you anywhere in Hollywood. His it's had it's gone five years ago. He's gone. We used to have Bill Cosby listed on our one. What we call a one sheet in sales Bill Cosby is advertised on free talk live for one of his books. Really? Correct. Idea. His name was on our one sheet because people recognize Bill Cosby's name. Right. But I've taken it off quietly removed it, Ian without your knowledge. I have removed Bill Cosby was there in the first place. Yes. From the from our one sheet, so. His his currency is gone. He's not going to he's gone. He's only the dumbest of starlets is going to fall into the trap of the connected blind has been America's dad. I don't know who's gonna fall into this this particular trap. He's living under a rock to not have heard about what's been going on with Bill. Cosby, however, you just want to get molested dragged molested, okay? I don't know may however, somebody in the United States right now wants to get drugged and molested. There's somebody out there for Bill. Cosby? Well, I mean, if it's molestation than it's not wanted by definition. So you can't really define it. They want to put him like it is. Ok well, that's fine. Anyway, Cosby against sentenced to three to ten years behind bars. I think the argument Mark against what you're saying here, and I'm not necessarily taking this position. But I'm just going to kind of sure because I I tend to agree with you that, you know, he's not a danger and therefore shouldn't be behind bars. But others would say, well, you can't give Cosby a break up because it. Yeah. Because you know, somebody else in a similar circumstance in older, an older gentleman who's not nationally or internationally recognized when they're back out on the streets. Nobody's going to know who they are. Right. So Cosby have the name recognition? Everybody's seen the headlines. If again, you'd have to be living underneath a rock. Vengeance is a personal thing. You you look at the situation and you hand down the proper sentence. So Bill Cosby, so he should get a break because he's a break because of that. I think that basically what we have. To do. Because of America the way it is today, you have to say rapes bad. We gotta make sure that everybody knows that rapes bad people out there say right paint bad people, make sure everybody knows rapes bad. And so they you've got to hand down the sentence that would be harsher than is probably necessary in order to prove to people. Hey, this whole thing about rape culture. You're talking about or whatever that's not going on here. This man had a trial. He was found guilty and he's being sentenced for rape. And I personally would not if I were the judge I would have deviated towards the downside because I feel like the people of Pennsylvania are being robbed right now. There is no reason for an e blind eighty one year old to be put in prison other than the the optics. And if you're putting somebody in prison for optics. Then what difference does that besides just the the the middle aged? Excuse me. Middle ages kind of peasants whipping rotted fruit at the person about ready to get their head chopped off. What's the difference there? Okay. I'm going to ask you another one here that should a older person be given special treatment and deference in the criminal Justice. Yes. So does that mean that an older person is basically able to get away with committing things other getting away with I mean, I just said I wouldn't sentence him to that. You've never asked me what I would sentence him to. You're just throwing these questions that I would make sure somebody's going to look at it as getting whatever the sentences, you're saying what other people think the world look man, I'm living in a world where half of half of the public by definition is below average in intelligence and then the thirty percent above that. Alerting stellian. I think fine would be below the median. Is the average when you're talking about intelligence? I bet you it's not agit is. Well, I'll have to look it up later. I don't have that in front of me right now. But go ahead with your point fine. It's darn close to half by definition is below average. Right. They are below average half is below average. What an average means. No, not always. That's not what an average means fide. I don't care. An immediate as a form of average. I'm aware of that no medium is a medium. It's completely different. No. It's not completely different. It's another form of average Johnson. You have an opinion on median versus average. These are two completely different mathematical concepts. Yes. You have an opinion or yes, they are different. Yes. They're completely different concepts. Thank you. I appreciate that. Let's go to your calls and thoughts here, we got Jim. He's in New Mexico listening in watching us on twitch, twitch dot L, R dot FM. Go ahead. Jim. Hey, Jim from customer service. I'm calling. I got a number of complaint. Great bay. "So I've been led into their like they've got their slack. Which is a a chat thing where they can talk with their programmers about, you know, things they need to do. They let me into their. There's this other sort of organizer program that they have I forget what it's called. But I've been led into that. So I'm seeing the behind the scenes of the bugs they need to fix the features. They're gonna add, and I'm I'm I'm even more excited now because I get the back end here of of what they're up to any pay is the way to accept crypto currency in real life. And when it's working man it works great. It's just there's some in the road. I have to remind some of the merchants here locally who are using any because that's the way if you pay with crypto in Keene New Hampshire where imports you're paying with the any pay for sure for sure, and it's it's smooth. It's easy. And like I said when it's working it works. Well, but we are still here on the leading edge of crypto currency, right? Like, this whole thing is so new this has never been done before this whole crypto thing. And it's only the first decade we still haven't even crossed the ten year. Mark that's coming soon. But we haven't we haven't crossed the ten year Mark Harrison for bitcoin yet. And so this on the scale of money is so brand new, and so you do have to keep in mind, if you're gonna adopt any. There's going to be some bumps in the road. But right now, it's the best bet as far as merchant adoption. I was looking at alternatives recently to see what else there is out there. They don't even have it together. Like any pay does? So check.

"I was out last night for, the first the beginning weekend of the college, year the first semester here in. This this particular year of college that is kicking off here in beautiful, Keene New Hampshire the weather is still warm during the daytime. And starting to cool down a wizard. At night though, it was actually I was actually at a t shirt and shorts still okay so it was, it's probably It's probably gonna, be the only weekend I'll, be able to get away with that from here on Alex usually. Gets pretty, cold pretty. Fast once August is definitely is done, with, but I was out down by the college neighborhood and for those that don't know we. Live in Keene New Hampshire which. Is a college town there's a college, with a relatively small population maybe four to six. Thousand I don't know what the official numbers are but I have heard Vincent who's one. Of our educational co hosts the, host of questioning authority he said he's heard they dropped their attendance by, thousand people. Wow which is a huge drop for what was initially a relatively four thousand would make sense, I. Thought it was, five thousand so if it was five thousand passengers four. Thousand. Which is a. Twenty percent That would make. Sense and attendance those numbers are. Accurate and I don't have any school, was having lots of problems with that Oh, I forget what the, details were but yeah there were all kinds of problems but either way They're still young people going and that means there's a fresh batch of new young people you know. Freshman who've arrived to go to the school and that means that they need to know their rights so I. Have the cop block. Warning police threat in effect, flyer with all, kinds of good. Information on it like record your interaction, ask if. You're being detained if not leave don't answer questions never consent to searches and be. Polite but firm these are the five bullet points, which are described. In greater detail on these cards, you can see, them for yourself over a tools freaking dot com if you want. To download it check it out which reminds me I actually just. Updated it, for two thousand eighteen so I probably should update the website, version of that as well so. We're we're getting some fresh ones printed out for the college students but it was a. Great night I had a lot of positive response didn't get any. Real negative response from from anybody. Most of the college students are very interested. In knowing their rights they, didn't, learn them in highschool government schools. Don't teach, you about your rights they might, teach you in History class something about the constitution. Some you know at some point but they don't really talk about your rights how to. Interact with the police have CSI you know you have the right. To remain silent right to an. Attorney a right to a phone call of. Those some of that heard More people tell, me I have no rights in school and. Really yeah even cops I've ever have ever heard anybody you know educate me on rights learn them, but not? Because, the school Yeah I actually had that happened to me too I had a school principal. Tell, me. Straight up. That I had no right to, freedom of, speech which is wrong, here you, got no right that's right Technically speaking of that accent so I. Just wanted to get a little bit of good news here for police accountability here in the area where we're trying our best to. Keep cop. Block alive The cop block national organization is. Basically a shell of what it once. Was I wouldn't even call it an organization this point and that's it's hard for me to say as the person who, has caught blocked badge number five so they have the cop block badges and I got. Number five, because I, was there in the. Very beginning when the block founders were living, here in Keene and they have since both left and they've gone off on completely different paths in life and I of course wish them the best. But, I feel like if they hadn't left we. Would still have an even more solid, group here in in New, Hampshire and New Hampshire would be like the beacon for. Police accountability out there unfortunately the as s tends to happen with organizations once they grow to a certain point there becomes infighting and Yup and then people want to get away from, that infighting, and then ultimately what happened was the name. Of freemen basically burnt out as also something that's common with activists is they get tired after a while and he put in a good you know ten years of His life. Basically into doing police accountability activism was arrested a number of times for a variety of different victimless crimes in that timeframe, and so you can't blame somebody for wanting to throw in the towel you know you. Just you, just can't, blame somebody for ten. Years is great you did a lot of, good work and there was a lot of good coverage that happened on cop block but it's sad when such a great thing is created and there's. Not, somebody to pass the torch to there's not. There's not somebody waiting in the wings, to be the main person, the the leader of that particular organization and sadly in. The case of cop block even though there were a number of volunteers over the years and even though at the time on a demo wanted to get out of the site there, were still, people who were Still doing even after he left there still, are I have posted I still have posting access, to cop block but I was never, a prolific poster to begin with So I'm I'm not going to keep the site live I'm not going to. Keep it afloat. With any regular, content I would call myself an irregular poster, best my last post to cop block was in June At, around when we, when we, did the police checkpoint the the patrol the. Border patrol checkpoint though that we went through you didn't go. Through it it was like did I miss. We tried to wait for you but we had Oh In like three or four more of those in the last. Month, oh they're busy out. There Anybody who wants to get checkpoint footage just going up to, Woodstock New Hampshire and weight around they'll they'll set one up probably. Within a couple of. Weeks. But. That was the last post there was to cut block dot ORG, was in June wow yeah so it's a shadow of its of its former self still exists but I don't know. What the preliminary sort of the preeminent police accountability group lake in real life is these days. It might still be cop block simply because I don't know. If anybody else is really challenged, it maybe cop watch is still out there doing their thing I'm I'm not sure about that but we're going to get into a horrible story about the folks over at, the free, thought, project who've been doing great online, reporting on police accountability and and bad cop bad behaving cops and this is about, Georgia cop Monroe county sheriff's deputy Bill Miller recorded earlier this month on a woman's cell phone the. "But he talked about what it was like when he first became a cop was that he would get an adrenaline rush from just pulling somebody over for speeding just because you know you don't know what's going to happen could be that person's gonna shoot you or something like it can be a scary kind of situation dealing with somebody who's strange and there's a there is a rush that he was getting from it but after a short while that rush went away became he became acclimated to the situation adrenaline rush feeling again and so he gave us an example of something he would do regularly which is to say let's say he was pulling somebody out of a car while searching it or something like that and he would let that person sit on the side of the road without being handcuffed when he would have had the legal justification at that point for whatever reason to handcuff the person he'd lead them unhandcuffed in the hopes that they would get up and run so he would have the chance to run after them and tackle them right it's like the top of the adrenalin junkies that's what it is literally what it is so again even if it's not royds there's still a junkie aspect of just the high that they get from from attacking somebody i remember seeing it happened in real life here in keene new hampshire one night where we were this was before you were here chris but we had some cop blocking activities going on and a lot of times you see the police down the college neighborhood and in this case there was there's this skinny sheriff who i'd really gotten along with well he always was in good good spirits was always you know jovial friendly to talk to and i never would have pictured him as some sort of know raging angry cop but i got to see him in that particular way and it was when there was some drunk kid that they were dealing with who was stupid of course you know he's drunk college student he's being talked to by the police he makes a break for it and he starts just booking it away from the cops and so this cop goes into total like take down mode and like completely unfeeling he just became total automaton police officer in that moment and he went and he.

"Whatever's on minds number here eighth 55 450 free like freedom that's eight five five four five zero three seven three three we got more on the uh the story that will you brought in tonight about the the ninety two somalis horribly abused on a flight that they thought was going out of the country ice agents apparently and realize is actually gonna turn around and then come back and then they got held some account so far will see a gin i'm this is going on what y'all told me because i was out for the first half hour i'm a board member of the local public access channel here in keene new hampshire along with the darrell and to the meeting went a little long tonight's up rashid you guys fillon in here as we continue we will take your calls about what you want i did mention bitcoin combo of course bitcoin isn't the only option in the cryptocurrency world it was just the first which means they've got a pretty strong lead of there's a lot of other cryptocurrencies out there that would love to take the king of the hill from bitcoin now maybe at some point we're going to see that happen maybe even this year i mean certainly bitcoin's number one slots its position weakens significantly in 2017 and so we may see that change out happen sometime this year who knows we don't know what the future holds but one of the contenders i would like to thank is then cash at least hopefully will seize and cash continue on and grow in the future because they've got some great and they just started last year's their brand new the always to go but they got some really cool things work forum in their favour mainly some of the best technology out there in the cryptocurrency game so you've heard about maybe if you paid attention to the world of cryptocurrency you've heard about this euro knowledge proofs you've heard about the anonymity that back in that those can provide well zan cache of course has that and they've also got under they're setting up a decentralised or multiple decentralized autonomous organizations to help govern the currency networks very well for the dash organization as well so they've got some cool tech and it's also cryptocurrency founded by voluntaristic rounded by people who care about liberty and who understand economics it's cryptocurrency dedicated to peace anonymity and decentralisation and you really ought to go and.

"To dash and maybe there will be opportunities to work together again in the future i still use it almost every day basically in keene new hampshire because every single cryptocurrency accepting business which started with bitcoin is now accepting dash yeah like that the bitcoin shop man who huge shout out to those guys with their any lou there any pay platform that series though awesome and that's what actually enabled this for us because for the longest time bit pay which has been the king the juggernaut of and really the only player until any pay of merchant accepting services meaning like having a physical location point of sale where the tablet to accept cryptocurrency from customers pay was it and for a long time they said if you asked was nope we're just bitcoin now and so when bitcoin's feast started hitting 510 even two dollars or whatever per transaction it just became impossible for people to justify spending bitcoin so all these cryptocurrency accepting businesses their sales which weren't very large in the first place to bitcoin customers it dropped off the radar and it's like we've got to do something here so any pay comes to the rescue at any paid out global with an app that actually on launch accepted both bitcoin core and dash and els expanded to dose coin another site you know something's really injuries so i started off with a camping bitcoin everywhere knocking on all the businesses stores thing man this is jerry this thing ever you is that this and i got a boatload of businesses that do it and then they all dropped out because no there was too many problems let's fortunate i did all that for free ryan i feel i feel like i was robbed now that i wasted all that time doing that that they've jumped out because of the actions of bitcoin or whoever is in charge this but would dash i'm able to be rewarded for euro for my efforts and and i think it's really cool.

"Ever get physical with people don't ever use violence don't use pepper spray none of that so there's another part to this story that i was just made aware of the fascinates me so christopher count well used to be part of a group in keene new hampshire known as free keen and they i mean it's amazing how much he's changed since he was part of that group so cold bear had done a segment on on this group of people that identified as libertarians and they absolutely hated the facts that the city wasted resources on ticketing people for parking violations oh no no say okay so they would consider themselves like the robin hoods of the area because they would go to parking meters throughout the town and they would feed the parking meters that were about to expire and apparently the city had a huge problem within this entire thing went to court but it was just amazing because here's the guy who first of all was part of a group proud of a group that referred to themselves as like robin hoods right and wanted to actually help out the citizens of the area regardless of race regardless of ethnicity or anything like that they just hated the fact that people were getting ticketed four parking violations and so um i dunno things apparently devolved considerably severe them so look somo's wrote rings says the same sort of as a progressive as a slippery slope or your wind up as a marxist maoists stalinist okay now i've yet to run into a mouse in my entire life uh if we were to be uh like them and make a ridiculous claims who said well if you started out as a libertarian you're obviously gonna wind up as a nazi and that is not the case some libertarian just stay libertarian so look to me though all of this is is richly deserved just and look guys did pepper spraying their felonies i don't know how long is going to stay in prison we don't even know if he's going to get convicted so and let the justice system play out here and and of course even though there uh he's you know chanted all those horribly anti semitic things and talked about committing violence um.
