"That would be the cruelest thing. I don't wish that on anybody. That's Lamar does go to Indianapolis. Baltimore for Indianapolis. And the trucks have to come in the middle of the night. It's mandatory, right? They'll go back in the business for this movie. And again, the reason why I keep landing here is like if you're going to use the fourth overall pick on a quarterback and it's on somebody that might be the fourth quarterback on the draft board this year and that's a big mystery. And yeah, you could build together with your new head coach and you could do that with your new head coach. Or you could go for it. What's the exact opposite of rolling the dice on the veteran aging veteran to see if he's still got it or the exact opposite of taking a flyer on Carson Wentz. This is the move, that's the bold move. And if I'm Lamar, I am hoping I look down and see a three one 7 area code on my phone today. Is that what that would be? Is that what it is? Indianapolis? I'm hoping. Three one 7 or four 6 three. I'm hoping. Either one. I'm hoping. That's it. I mean, I was just there. So I'm hoping if I'm him, that's the one, because who else would it be? Could it be on the teams that would blow everyone's mind list? 'cause I'll tell you what, this is played out perfectly for the ravens who were like, go seek out your market. And the market will be open after the negotiation window in which everybody jumps on everything else. And his market is miniscule. Facts. So he'll go back to the negotiating table with Baltimore and assume more than 32 or just say screw it. I'll play on the tag again. What do I care? 32 is enough for me right now. I'll just do it again, even though everyone's saying I need an agent and I'm leaving money on the table and all that business. What do I care? I'll play it again. And then at some point, I'll be free, and I'll go wherever I want to go, and my market won't be depressed by two firsts and my market won't be depressed by teams that are nervous about doing the paperwork for the ravens and figuring out a deal with the ravens couldn't. Show everybody that I can still do my business, even though I don't have an agent. You might do it, but that's the reality of boots on the ground, market as the Lamar market opens. At four eastern on the day that he can talk to other teams. Let's take a break here, 8 four four two O four which number my buddy Sam prince is here. Let's talk giants. Let's talk football. Let's talk about making sure you put your name on a list for organ donation because without it, Sam prince is not about to appear on the rich eisen show as he is. Our friend, Sam prince, here, before John smoltz and Jason Kelce on the show. Back here on the rich eisen show radio network here also on our live stream with the Roku channel and joining us here on the rich eisen show in person is somebody who I met in Vegas last year. You took the whole draft world by storm, San prince, the way that you introduced kayvon thibodeaux and now you are here in Los Angeles, California hanging out good to see you, Sam. How are you? It's great to see you. I'm doing fantastic today, rich. Excellent. And so let's just before we get into the football aspect of it. Yesterday was a big day in your life, explain why march 14th yesterday was a big day in your life. Yes, it was rich. 12 years ago on March 14th, I got the gift of life, my new heart. You got a new heart. So your heart in your body is 12 years in one day old. And your body. In my body, I was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome and one lung before I got my transplant. I couldn't walk down the street. I couldn't go to school for a full day. I couldn't walk up the stairs without getting out of breath. When you get your chance, but you treat a new set of problems for another set of problems, but the set of problems that you're trading your problems in for. Are extremely different at in a heartbeat I'd much rather have these problems. And so you were an 8 year old receiving a new heart. Yes, sir. Okay. And do you remember anything about that? I mean, do you have any significant memories as a 20 year old sitting here now in college? I have. Rich, that was my life. Going in and out of hospitals, doctors. That's all I knew. You and everyone else here was able to play in the yard and play basketball play football. Et cetera, I go to school, I couldn't. I was a doctor's offices. Let me tell you a little story. Please, Sam. So I got on the 14th, I waited 6 months to get my transplant, and I got the call, the night before, Sam, we have a heart for you. At 8 58 p.m., march 13th. So you had no idea as an 8 year old that you were going into surgery the next day until that phone call hit. I knew I was on the list. When you're 8 years old, you don't realize everything that's going on. Of course. For me, as I said, it's just everyday life. Do you know whose heart is in your chest right now? I do not, but I honor my donor family every day by wearing my green bracelet. And I will give you one right now and everyone else in the show. Fantastic. Thank you. Flip it out here. Thank you. Very good. I got one for you. All right, and we put it on. And I'm wearing mine right here. But you know, I want to meet them one day, if they don't want to meet me, that's their decision. No, no, 'cause obviously it's a must have been a difficult day for them as to why the heart was available for an 8 year old, right? So, but the fact that they decided to donate, they didn't have to do it. It gives you the life. So what do you tell people who are potentially thinking about it or just say, got their new driver's license, didn't take the box? What do you say, San print? Check the box, everyone. If you are wondering if it really works or not, look at me. I'm living proof, organ donation works. I wouldn't be here today without the power of organization without that family checking off the box and making the selfless act of donating their child's organs. And then obviously joining make a wish was a significant moment for you as well, right? Of course. Now is cave on thibodeau. How about that? And I saw we did NFL network terrific feature on you for our Thanksgiving show and thibodeau and what was that moment for you with thibodeaux on the stage? For him, big moment for you. Well, it's a big moment for me. My dream came true of announcing the Giants first round draft pick and then you have cave on

"Sheets good return on equity Come on Emily Emily cut to the chase Are you long Amazon this morning We have actually fade away from consumer discretionary because there's a couple of big names in that sector that don't exhibit those quality characteristics They don't have the cash on the balance sheet We're a little bit more concerned about that We're more overweight and traditional technology names Again that are going to give us those great balance sheets and those organic growth drivers You've got to have a great solid position in your industry to compete again as that macro tide comes away Is Amazon no longer a growth stock Well you think about sort of what is the impetus right You look at the year over year comps I think that's the biggest challenge for Amazon now coming out of the pandemic I mean we had two years of extraordinary demand for that business model and now we need to see you know what are those organic growth drivers going forward And I think that's going to be a challenge How many rounded of John Hancock Emily great to catch up What an earnings season It's been Lisa Just the numbers themselves have been pretty decent pretty solid but it's all about that outlook And I think as we round out earnings season for the big tech names that's exactly where we started the quarter What's going to happen in the future What's the outlook where's the guidance And that's where we're finishing it with the same concerns The fact that the NASDAQ was already down nearly 20% heading into the big tech week It shows you how much pessimism was already baked in And then to see the further declines in the shares after the earnings speaks to that pessimism and that uncertainty baked into the outlook I think the bifurcation within big tech might be the story from this earnings season We've got to set up the conversation for the next few hours On that bifurcation I'm going to catch you with Dan Ives of Wedbush a little bit later Lisa that is exactly his ankle right now But for our next conversation with ECB chief economist Philip lane Tom inflation at 7.5% I have to say in the track a year did you ever think we'd get back to 7.5% on CPI in Europe And most importantly John professor lane never did I really want to emphasize for an American audience This is one of the Giants of modern economics This is must listen must watch for global Wall Street Now core CPI in Europe is much lower than core CPI in the United States but this will be uncomfortable for the ECB because it's moving in the wrong direction still So core CPI comes up to 3.5 from 2.9 and the estimate was 3.2 And what we're really interested now in the ECB is the sequencing Winding down QE and the then what How much space between that which could end in July and then that first thing that we haven't seen Tom since 2011 a rate hike from the ECB Okay that's the process and John your expert at that whether you're years in Frankfurt I'm just looking at the core theory which is it's a more sluggish tepid run rate a more sluggish nominal GDP and that top line inflation there is absolutely unacceptable given compared to the United States I should say I think the way we frame it Lisa is a rock and a hard place That's good Central Bank officials in Europe at the moment You've characterized it as the emerging markets alumni at the European Union is experiencing that How do you hike into a weakening economy I was looking at some of the components of the inflation print that came out of Europe this morning 38% increase in oil and gas This is an energy fueled kind of inflation and that is the worst kind because what that means is that crimps the consumer And that is the dilemma that this ECB is facing The ECB chief economist Philip lane is going to be joining us in just about 5 minutes time from New York City this morning Good morning with Tom Keene Lisa abramo and Jonathan farrow futures are down 9 tenths of 1% on the S&P on the NASDAQ 100 we are down by 1.23% And Amazon is "Kayvon thibodeaux, defensive end, Oregon. Yeah. Thibodeau is, you know, the knock on him is does he love football, you're starting to see a lot of smoke around the Internet around that. There's some plays he has on film where he's not necessarily given full full max effort. He was dinged up coming into the air with an ankle injury. The kid could have sat out the season and still would have been a top 5 pick. His pressure rate was the second best press rate in the country. I think it was like 16 and a half percent or almost 18% pressure rate. You know, he's not a perfect prospect because of some of his stuff, but I think that's a lot of the smoke that you just hear around draft time. When it comes down to your comp Clowney, who was a guy who I was, he was a no doubt first overall pick, but I even went, I went and saw him live in South Carolina when I was at Sports Illustrated. I wrote him up for Sports Illustrated. I didn't love him. I didn't love him at number first overall. I didn't think that he loved the game enough. And that's the knock on thibodeau. I just think his athleticism is going to allow him to drop too far. The Giants and number 5 select offensive tackle ikem equiano NC state. Yeah, rashawn slater is the right the right comp for him. He loves slater. Even if you think this kid, you know, he's 6 four. He probably has the length to play tackle, even if you think he's a guard, you know, he's like the Quinton Nelson type prospect from a guard perspective. So he's a top 6 or 7 kid. He might even go higher than that. Really kind of clean prospect. And giants fans know that they're offensive lines, a dumpster fire. So at number 6, the Panthers get their we think quarterback of the future. Kenny Pickett from Pittsburgh, mister two gloves himself. Yeah. I've had Kenny consistently go into the since the start of this process going to Carolina. I just think it makes a lot of sense in two ways. One is, you know, they're getting pressure, that franchise to get their next quarterback, Matt rule, extra recruited Kenny Pickett when he was at temple. And moved down to Baylor, ended up going to Baylor and Kenny went to Pitt, but the relationship there. He's the most pro ready of the quarterbacks coming out of the draft, Carolina needs it, and I'm not worried about the hand size playing down in Carolina given a little bit warmer weather and they plan domes. Well, I'll name off some picks if there's something certainly pressing that you want to add on explanation front. Interject, but I think we'll skip into the teens..

"I'm a crazy psychopath. That's it. Not really, but yeah, I just don't like, again, go back to this. If you're working, so when you watch football, you're watching football for fun. You're sitting back, you're relaxing, you got pizza, you're eating with your hands. There's no pressure there. When I'm watching football, I've got a blank sheet of paper in front of me. I've got my notebook. My notebook's empty. I'm taking notes. I'm taking notes in my notebook. I'm left handed. So it's just taking notes, writing. I want to take about a pizza again. I don't want to get my hands all dirty, so I take about a pizza, then I got to dry my hands or wash my hands or whatever with a towel or with a sink. So I can grab my Pentagon. I don't want pen to get all dirty and greasy. So I just use a fork. It's easier. And I do have basically everything in my life and I use utensils all the time. And I have no problem getting made fun of. Ben says, this is a non Super Bowl question, but these past few days I've heard rumors that kayvon thibodeaux is falling down draft boards around the NFL. We're still a few months away from the draft. But if he really has fallen out of the top 5 and Aidan Hutchinson is the only top edge rusher. Do you think the Lions could take a quarterback at number two? If so, who do you think? I think Malik Willis would be the best option as he could sit behind Jared got for a year or two and developed. I'd love to hear your thoughts. I already talked about this earlier in the show, but I want to revisit in case you missed it or whatever. Malik Willis has got the most potential of any quarterback in this draft class, but I don't think he's ready at all. And I don't think he's going to be better than Jared Goff. I think what the lion should do is draft a quarterback in the second or third round, get like Sam Howell at a UNC and the second round..
