Kayleigh McEnany Enjoyed Working for a Patriot Like President Trump
"I mean, It's unbelievable how stupid that man is. And how, um In my view, unpatriotic he is And one thing you could say about Donald Trump's. He loves this country and he loves the people of this country. Don't believe you can say the same about Biden was right up until now talking about how racist America is, and so we're just buying into that hole. American Marxist agenda and and tearing down the country. Yeah, exactly. And I used to work for a president who hugged the American flag. And I love that image of him Just Complete love, compassion for this country and those who within it, and then Biden, you know? Wow, What a misnomer for forever. He misled us as if he was, you know, Mr Compassionate. That's what he was known for being empathetic, and now you have him doing an interview. Afghan pain from planes human remains found in a wheel and he said that was four or five days ago and says no one's being killed when in fact They are. He's not compassionate. He doesn't love this country. I completely agree with you and Wow, we're only eight months in. We got three years plus to deal with and man I'm sad to see what happens.
Kayleigh McEnany Criticizes Jen Psaki for Feeding Joe Biden's Lies
"According to Politico, a white House to media. We want our props on Afghanistan because Caylee This is a fantastic surrender. It's just done. But we've never seen anything like this. Hundreds of thousands of people begging to get out people being trampled on the Taliban killing, maiming. American citizen. The numbers go from 15,000 down to 1500. You need to come. This is absolutely fantastic because the media says that the biggest airlift in American history Excuse me. The other airlift they're talking about was in order to help people who were being surrounded by the Communists in Berlin. This is this is a surrender. It's the worst surrender in American history. Now they're they're upset. They're not getting props from the media. What do you think? Right. And Jim sake says that this is a success. How do you call this a success? Because she's not there stranded. She were, there would be a success. You're exactly right. It wouldn't be a success if she was there. Not only that, she says. No Americans are strand in Afghanistan. Obviously they were now, she says. We will probably leave behind stranded Americans. That's absolutely the case. But you made it out of the park mark they want they want adulation. They want parade. That's what they're used to. You know, we have the press shop When I was in the White House. We didn't have the media covering for us. We knew that every time I walk to that podium, it would be a bloodbath of reporters shouting at me both as I entered as I exited as I was standing at the podium, but you know she she gets to walk in Scot free. So this Joe Biden. They're used to the press covering But in this one instance they don't have a covering press and they can't handle it. Which is why they're flailing in the wind.
Los Angeles Hopes New Mask Mandate Will Reverse Virus Spike
"We come on the air this morning. Residents of the nation's most populous county are waking up to a new. But all too familiar reality and indoor mask mandate despite all the progress we've made it's a reminder that our national fight against covert is far from over as the highly contagious delta variants sweeps. The country cases are rising nearly all fifty states. The country's daily case average has now searched by more than sixty percent in the last week to more than twenty seven thousand cases. That's a whopping one hundred forty. Three percent increase over the past. Four weeks fueling the surge unvaccinated americans who make more than ninety seven percent of hospitalized covert patients the administration now targeting misinformation to overcome vaccine hesitancy. But can they actually change any minds and could we see more major cities across america. Reinstitute their mask recommendations. Dr vivek murthy is standing by with more. But we begin with kaley hearten in la county inside the providence saint joseph medical center. Good morning to you kayleigh. Good morning martha just a few weeks ago. This hospital system in southern california was treating just thirty. kobe patients. That number has jumped two hundred and thirty and almost all of them or unvaccinated. This is an all hands on deck moment. As one local officials said as the situation continues to get worse in california for the past week in los angeles county more than one thousand new cases were reported every day and that number was closer to two thousand on friday and saturday for perspective a month ago. The county was averaging two hundred new cases every day. We've been on something of a roller coaster here with the numbers in check a month ago. La county lifted virtually all restrictions with capacity limits and social distancing bars and restaurants. They have been packed with massless people but now a sharp reversal bringing back. The mask mandate for inside public places. Regardless of your vaccination status and ten counties in california are also following suit with their own guidance.
Listen Up: Biden Speaks Volumes in a Whisper to Make a Point
"President Biden has been using a different strategy to get his point across at certain moments he whispers trump White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany calls it peculiar and crazy I think it's time to give ordinary people a tax break it does look a little bit like and Saturday Night Live skit Vanessa Beasley is an associate professor of communications at Vanderbilt University you can see how frustrated he is or give the appearance of being frustrated right so that breaks the fourth wall if you will the presidency to see what our president really thinks president Biden moves in toward the microphone talks about issues like financial help for families one point two million dollars released so far please leave says usually raising the volume gets the message across it sort of sets everybody back a little bit when you see someone going in a different direction and reducing their body on his talk show Stephen Cole bear said the Biden whispers are a little creepy at Donahue Washington

"It was the prayers of so many christians that i could feel. And you're exactly right about the spiritual battle playing out. I saw each and every day like when when the president got covid. Nineteen you'll remember. They dubbed the emmy conybeare at nomination superspreader event. Some people have a piece together is franklin graham. Was there that day they were doing. The big prayer marched through washington and franklin graham and some of the greatest pastors of our time. We're in the white house meeting with the president. So you have covid. Nineteen the invisible enemy lurking in this superspreader event. While you have these pastors who represent all things good and christians praying through dc and it was just such a clear juxtaposition of being there but evil lurking in our midst and the good news is christ can overcome all and into that chapter by chapter. It's amazing i wanted. Just reemphasize this so you have a press briefing. This is not not like a a regular speech. I just want to have people understand. So you have this. You're literally sitting on top of each other because of the way the white house configurations and there's like the sliding door you walk out and you have probably thirty or forty rather high q. Hyper aggressive wannabe celebrities with masks on all. Uc's there is and you walk up to this podium and you're looking down there staring at everything you do. And then you have probably fifteen or twenty cameras and you know that there is thirty or forty million people. That will watch this. And then you have precisely what you have to say. And then you have to defend things that you didn't say on behalf of bureaucrat. Or mvm appoint pointy and if you say one word wrong it could derail the entire mission of the federal government in the midst of a pandemic. but they don't care because that's success for them it is and then you have to be precise throughout the entire thing. You have to be interesting and then you also have to be able to answer the questions from the opposition and then you have to be able to know your stuff because if you quote one thing wrong it becomes that becomes the story not all the benefits from all that yes in even if you do everything right they will still take you out of college. I remember i literally gave an answer. I believe this was to you me. I forget exactly who. But i talked about the science. Being on the side of reopening schools. I went through data. I said the. Cdc director said kids are minimal spreaders That they're not at risk from cova the same way adults are and i read. Statistics and facts in science. And i said with the science should not stand in the way of opening schools because the science on our side did everything right. Jim acosta takes. The science should not stand in the way tweets it out as if to suggest i just said science doesn't matter when in fact i had footnoted my answer with all of the science and even jake tapper had the audacity or i guess the courage to call him out not particularly a fan of jake tapper. But even jake tapper said guys. We're taking her out of context here which was a kind thing for him to do. But even when you do everything why they will take a snippet they will twist it for their own purposes and design is the highest stakes imaginable. And it's it's it's rather remarkable and it just in the way that there's there's no comparison what's happening right now. This is not even is not a press briefing. This is a lunch with friends which was happening john celery. That's not a press. The this is like an interrogation coupled with kind of like a war briefing. It's it's this really weird th. It's really bizarre in the sense that it really doesn't exist anywhere else in the country and you kind of just look at it like oh. She's kind of giving a speech. No you have to understand it from her actual visual optical perspective every time you look up from that podium you thirty really like treacherous people that are staring at you waiting for one thing and and you know that it's not just them but they represent outlets that day could push a button and every single apple device in the country and apple news notification kayleigh mcenany says this this and this and then you kind of get off the podium. You got up the podium that slide into your clothes and you ask your team. So how'd i do. Everything was great. It was awesome in the new. Look like that's not what i said. Exactly yes there. Were many moments like that when i go back to my office and i'd say that is not what happened but people can see it especially people who watch the briefings in their entirety. But that's why it's so important to anticipate the questions in anticipate. Counterarguments should be prepared. How can i take this. Go on offense and it was interesting. We would plan questions going from sunday's seven. Am all the way to the briefing and we would often identify a much harder question than any of even asked him. Where like how did they not think to ask a question. This is the toughest one of it. Sometimes they never quite got there but all of us to say the purpose of the press briefing is to bring news to the american people and what was so sad to me during my time there were children dying in the streets like sequoia turner and legend taliaferro. And we end the government. Were doing things to fight crime in the streets. You might tried to bring that message. They didn't care. And when i talked about the police officers who perished in amid the riots. David dorn they didn't care. And i'm not i'm not saying they didn't care like they're not compassionate people but they didn't care enough to write a story about it to ask a question about it in there and is the problem with the press if your narrative a child dying of crime in the streets doesn't fit the left's narrative it is just entirely ignored outside of local news to me. That is the real tragedy at the end of the day. It's those families. Those victims that ended up losing. There's never light brought to their stories..

I i really don't understand it. Will he get elected next time. I hope in the length of history that he doesn't get reelected but here's another story folks. This is kayleigh mcenany. Remember her remember. Kelly there she is yes always smiling and she's always got that sycophants smile you know that I don't. I don't want to get started on this. But she's the former press secretary and she surprised that biden hasn't held a solo press conference so far so this is what she saying about it. Let me get some comment here. On the president's failure so far big filed a formal news conference is going to have to hold a news conference at some point. Isn't he absolutely. The pressure is mounting. Even left-wing outlets calling him out for this but i would say it's what lift who's calling for it. I don't care if he holds a press conference or not my god. They've got jennifer sacchi every day. Isn't it that she goes out and hold a press conference. What extraordinary that he hasn't taken questioned. Certainly one hundred year record for not taking actions in a solo press conference from a sitting president president but this is not unprecedented. Because as you'll recall stewart the basement strategy is what he employed on the campaign trail. He went something like fifty days and he only took questions twice and when he did they were handpicked questions. Oh come on. His staff does not have faith that he can. You know first of all. I should have said this about kelly. I mean she spreads lies like mayonnaise at edit church picnic. You know i mean she just she just lays it on and was doing that throughout the whole trump administration and at the podium and have a press conference the way president trump did many times that protecting him. It seems to me. They are protecting the president from himself. Want to see him stumble over words. Get confused lose his train of thought as he may. Well do if it was sub. You know this is. This is playing into that whole thing where they say that he's not in control. He doesn't know what he's doing and folks that was just what a month ago where we had. Steve bannon came out and said you know what i think. Donald trump has got dementia. One or toot stuart varney. Why don't you go. Talk to steve bannon and ask him why he thought that donald trump had early stages of dementia. This is a guy that was with them all the time. Right steve bannon. He's got no reason to say anything malevolent about donald trump. i mean donald trump pardoned him. Right i mean these. Are the facts stewart jet to the rough and tumble of a real press. Conference that protecting him. I think i think that's exactly right. I think you've got to nail on the head when you mentioned his staff because as you saw president biden say right there he said. I'm happy to take questions if that's what i'm supposed to do. I've seen him joust back and forth in one interaction with peter and he seemed to relish the moment a little. So i don't think this is president biden. Saying i don't wanna do this. I think it's those around him recognizing when he does speak. It doesn't always turn out so well. Like calling republicans on the donald trump doesn't turn out so well right. I mean that's that's why donald trump is sleeping lago. Tonight in joe biden is sleeping in the white house folks. Thanks for listening and until next time..

It breaks my heart that my friend A president of a consequence would allow yesterday to happen. And it will Be a major part of his presidency. It was a self inflicted wound. But Illinois Republican Congressman Kinzinger does think the 25th amendment should be used, saying the president failed to protect the American people and helped spark the violence. President like Joe Biden did not talk about using the 25th amendment, though he again blamed President Trump for the actions of the capital. What we witnessed yesterday was not descent. It was not disorder. It was not protest. It was chaos. I'd made the comments at a news conference where he introduced Merrick Garland as his pick for attorney general, saying he will be the people's lawyer. What House press secretary Kayleigh Mcenany spoke to reporters a short time ago, saying the entire White House believes the violence in the nation's capital was appalling. Kayleigh McEnany said Trump wasn't given an 'orderly transition of power' in 2016.
"Of Kayleigh Mcenany. I think it's a longer tape. It's like two minutes, right. I want to give Kayleigh mcenany the floor for one of the most comprehensive and should be viral clips. Of exactly how Democrats have been treating President Trump the last four years play tape. Talked about and identify the real potential for fraud with mass Valin voting also something that I would notice just we talked a lot about transfer of power in the election, and it's worth remembering that this president was never given an orderly transition of power. His presidency was never accepted. In fact, before theologian his election we know Crossfire Hurricane was launched by Peter struck to pursue a baseless allegations about the president's ties with Russia. That's before he was president, trying to subvert the will of the American people we know. In August, Peter Struck, wrote a text message about an insurance policy. Against a trump presidency once again, trying to silence the voice of the American people on in 2016, you know, in October that there was a five a warrant if ISA warrant taking out to spy on the Trump campaign And the American people spoke, and they spoke commandingly in electing President Trump. Despite all of the odds and what happened after he was elected, you had 70 lawmakers say We're not coming to his inauguration. Democratic lawmakers you had Elizabeth Warren saying. We're going to attempt to obstruct the trump transition by urging the Government Accountability Office to investigate the incoming trump transition. In January of that year. You had President Obama have a by the book meetings. Where they talked about the Logan Act, using that act to go after Lieutenant General Michael Flynn just before the inauguration, you had Buzzfeed promoting and publishing this bogus Steele dossier that's been widely debunked. I'm in for two years. You have the basis. Mueller investigation, which search for collusion, found none and exonerated President Trump

Michigan Secretary Of State On Challenges Certifying Election Results In Her State
"A little known board of county officials in Michigan made bigger headlines than Congress this week. That's because for a moment, the two Republicans on the Wayne County Board of Canvassers seemed to hold the fate. Of Michigan's presidential election results in their hands. And now, as Republican lawmakers from Michigan visit the White House and President Trump's attempts to overthrow the legitimate results of the election dragon, the Trump campaign's focus appears trained on Michigan, which is why we wanted to invite Michigan's Democratic secretary of state on to the program. Jocelyn Benson is in charge of the election in Michigan. Welcome. Good evening. Thanks for having me you have had quite a week. Let's let's start with this business in Wayne County, which is home to Detroit, of course to officials saying they would not certify. Then they said they would not. They want to take it back. Where does this stand? Well, First, it's clear that the voters of Wayne County in Michigan have spoken. They've made a choice. There's no legal or factual basis to question that choice. And the Wayne County Board of Canvassers did in an open meeting as an official process, making official vote to can approve the and certify the results of the election in Wayne County justice every county in the state has done on campus is required by law to certify results. That's what they've done, and now we expect the border state canisters to do the same. Okay, so that that vote that stands, Yes, votes. And when you're an official state board what's after you've taken and you know in a meeting that complies with the Open meetings act, and that's what occurred here. Well, let me move you two today and this meeting at the White House. The White House is characterizing these visiting Michigan lawmakers that this is a routine meeting. That's what White House spokesperson Kayleigh Mcenany saying. Is it routine for the president of the United States to call Michigan state officials and invite them to a private meeting at the White House? No, I don't know if it's ever happened before. Certainly not at a time like this, where there's so much focus on Michigan as you mentioned, But it's important to note that both the speaker and the Senate majority leader have stated they would not obstruct the will of the voters, which they've confirmed has been quite clear, and we have no reason to doubt that yet and I'm going to continue to expect they'll Follow the law as it's very clearly laid out in our state Constitution and state statutes. What should occur at this point? And do you have any Intel on the agenda for the meeting? How it's going on? Not at all? No, I really stay out of that process on the state's chief election officer. My job is to just make sure that the The will of the voters is what rules the day. Well, may I ask that the broad path that President Trump and his lawyers appear to be charting involves convincing Michigan State Board of Canvassers not to certify the Biden victory in Michigan. And then convincing state lawmakers to appoint electors who would overturn the will of Michigan voters. Is that a correct summary and if so, would that be legal? But know that it is potentially a path that I imagine people may imagine in their heads stick but there, But there's not something there's nothing in the law that or nothing, actually, that's occurred yet that would indicate that anyone is going down that path, and that's what I think it's important to focus on. Indeed, every one of Michigan's 83 counties have certified the election, Republican and Democratic clerks have confirmed That there's no evidence of widespread irregularities, and the board has previously started fight elections when there were more clerical mistakes and narrower margins of victory. Then there is this time around, and so it really being agreed this departure from their legal responsibility and requirements for them to do anything other than certified the election on Monday, and May I ask you Have you personally seen any evidence is the person in charge of the election message? Men? Michigan have you seen any evidence of widespread fraud of wrongdoing of rigging the vote? No, not at all. And not only that This has been one of the more scrutinized elections in modern history for our state. So if there was anything to discover or find, we certainly would have found it at this point, So there is no reason that you can point to that Biden winning Michigan by more than 150,000 votes that that would not stand. No, not at all and his. I started out by saying that it's actually it's very clear that the voters have spoken. It's very clear that there is no legal or factual basis to question that choice.
Where the Trump campaign and Republicans' election-related lawsuits stand
"State legislators from Michigan were invited to the White House today. What was the goal here? That's right. You had Michigan's Republican House speaker and Senate majority leader who were at the White House today to meet with the president and the White House Press secretary Kayleigh Mcenany held her first briefing in 15 days. She was asked about this meeting, and she said she kind of dismissed. It is nothing more. Or than routines, and the president meets with people from our with lawmakers, rather from all around the country all the time. But of course, this meeting is not routine. It's all the most alarming and that we know that Rudy Giuliani will be there. And Rudy Giuliani has been leading the president's efforts to try and contest some of these results in certain states. Some of these election results he's been the one kind of Meeting the Trump campaign legal effort here. We should point out he hasn't really been successful. A lot of these lawsuits have been thrown out. But he's been the one kind of behind this this strategy, so the fact that he is at the White House in that meeting. It is certainly raising concerns that maybe the president here is trying to exert political pressure on these members of the Michigan State legislatures so that they don't certify the election or that they are rather than they certified in in a way that would be favorable to him and Essentially be the president, asking them to overturn the will of the people and overturn the outcome of the election. So you had Michigan Democratic congresswoman Debbie Dingell making that point earlier today, she said, This goes beyond partisan politics. It's an attempt to subvert our democracy and undermine the will of Michigan voters legality aside even if the president Did manage to somehow change the result of what happens in Michigan. That still wouldn't be enough to change the outcome of the election. It wouldn't get him 2 to 70 electoral votes. Is he planning to do this in other states? Do we know that's the concern here to your right? The math Peter even if they are able to certified Michigan for president Trump, which would be, you know, just in and of itself, just so alarming and that you know, Joe Biden believes believes in Michigan right now, by over 100,000 votes, if not 150,000. So that ah big margin for for for them to overturn That election would be quite something, But you're right. The mask doesn't work in the president's favor. Even if he were to win Michigan, he's still wouldn't have enough votes to become president. The fear is that they were speculating now, but there's a concern is is whether there would be a kind of domino effect and whether maybe more states would follows to feed into Georgia is on the cusp of certifying its vote. The losing party. Okay. If it's within a 0.5% kid can ask for for a recount. We're expecting the trump campaign to ask for another recount s. Oh, So is that going to the lake, You know certification. Would Georgia follow suit with other states where the Legislature's or maybe a little bit more friendly to President Trump? You know, Pennsylvania's a state with a Republican Legislature with Pennsylvania follow suit. That's the kind of concern here but this is all at this point Speculation and I should point out. This is uncharted territory. We've never been in this situation. Before a bee season as delicate Terry with us on coma news and as thank you very much,
Michigan lawmakers meet with Trump as he continues to fight election results
"White House, meanwhile, is defending President Trump's efforts to dispute election results More from Steve Dorsey. The White House says the president wants every legal challenge in states voting to elect Joe Biden heard. Press secretary Kayleigh MCENANY. This is a system that had never been tried in American history. Mass mail out voting. It's one that we have identified as being particularly prone to fraud. So do those claims deserve to be pursued As Michigan prepares to certify Mr Biden's victory, their top state lawmakers are at the White House to meet with President Trump.

Biden team should get access to intelligence briefings
"Republican senators have congratulated Biden on his win at least six more GOP senators Josh Holly of Missouri, John Thune of South Dakota, Chuck Grassley of Iowa, Rob Portman of Ohio, James Lankford of Oklahoma and Mike rounds of South Dakota or saying that Biden should at least be receiving intelligence briefings even if Trump won't order his appointed head of the General Services Administration. To officially recognized Biden as the president elect here is sent it around to South Dakota. Look, one of these two men will be the president, United States after the election results have come in. And I think at this point, just as a matter of Protecting our nation's interests. I do think that both the president and his and his competition here, the vice President Biden should have access to those classified reports. Conservative British TV host Piers Morgan on Friday afternoon urged Trump to concede on Twitter GOP strategist Karl Rove said Thursday that Trump's lawsuits won't change the election results. Cindy McCain also told CNN today her deceased husband, former Senator John McCain, would have wanted Biden recognized as president elect You Beecher, he would be telling these people it is time that we that we move on. "Kayleigh Mcenany can't even say you know what is the reason that they don't want us to go in and take a look at the ballots unless they have something to hide that slapped out? So in that type of an environment it's a perfect opportunity for some Charlotte and on yes, our side to come through and make something up because nobody right now compressed to believe anything. If Legitimate content from conservatives a spiked It creates an opportunity for people with illegitimate con content to put it out there, so we're in a mess. In this instance One of the things that works against us weirdly is the free market. As you know. I have for many years. Parted company with my conservative Fred's with regard to one aspect of capitalism. I don't support concentration of power and monopolies, and I believe that they need to be busted up because I believe they actually interfere with the free market. If the large media and tech corporation simply decide that we're not going to allow conservative viewpoints to be expressed That is their prerogative. For example, let's just take facts like takes the entrance. They've been in the bag for years. If CNN decides that they're not going to put any conservative commentary Ana that they're not going to treat Trump barely CNN's private company, they have a right to do that. And MSNBC. They have a right to do that in the New York Times they have right to do that. So if the all of the organizations that exist do that. There's nobody laughed. To go the other way. And if they used their power and their size to crush They're competitors were left with nothing. It's funny that antifa calls itself and teeth and you know what Atif of means. I find that many people do not Section really simple. It's it was. It's short. It's short for anti fascist. Which was weird that they call it and Auntie because it's at anti fascist is where the term came from that they were going to oppose fascism. It's fascinating. That's the term that they use. Because Antifa is the ultimate It's It's the it's what fascism is. They say they're anti fascist. But there Belief that anyone who disagrees with them should be shut down and the violence it could be justified to do that. That's what fascism is. We are moving into a period of leftist fascism in the United States of people who say that they're doing what they're doing to oppose fascism, even as they in fact, Show fascism themselves. We need to fight very hard. To maintain our ability to communicate and express ourselves and we need to fight very hard to make sure that information that the media and tech companies and others what don't want to get out gets out. Which is not a justification for lying. And it is not a justification for overstating things. But when the left is allowed to overstate things like crazy look at the some of the things that they said that Trump was going to do after the elect just all this, But all the things that they've claimed about her and that even just the media. I mean, Adam Schiff is my perfect example. Just go collect collect four years of his comments that all of this stuff that they could get get car pledged to literally say anything that they want. Whereas communiqu conservatives are going to have a harder and harder and harder time communicating at all. And as I say, when you lose Fox unless some alternative again and the whole thing is with reach People point out where there's this one. A Newsmax is so that they just don't have the reach. And in order to get that reach. You have to be back by an incredible amount of money and have an audience You have to be. You know, Fox would not have gotten anywhere. We're not for the fact that it was, you know, not backed by money. Roger Ailes was a genius, and it looks so dog y good. Everybody on the network is good looking. It's well, let it at great graphics and all that stuff. You turn on the TV and you see it. We'll think about like you ever turn on Bloomberg. It is a mishmash of ugly graphics. It's hard to keep it out of his soul, and they have said that's actually part of their stick that they're aimed at at money once and they don't want it to look attractive. They wanted to look like a giant data screen and so on. But that's you know that that's part of the like The Old Wall Street Journal before they changed how they looked. It was they didn't put photos in. There were just all great stuff that that was, you know, their branding and their image ing Themselves Anyway, I'm gonna get the fall Fortune Cash contest. "What's next for you as far as areas classic. So, what's next for me is obviously, I'll be working on the social media sites trying to get those kind of on give them a new look basically given the facelift I've been talking about but then one of the things that I would absolutely love to do is I want to try and start racing more again. I don't know if that's going to be financially possible to race every year, I would love to raise every year but it's kind of expensive flying airplane that far is not only are you competing in the twenty four hundred mile race you're also getting to the start and back from the start Um, which can also be just as long but I'd love to raise with the my friend. Lin. K. would who you've mentioned multiple different times on throughout the conversation and then another goal line is whenever I race I love to bring a new racer a first time racer on the race with me. So we can expose more female pilots to the areas classic maybe give him some. Something to look forward to and possibly spread the word about the area says well But my ultimate goal don't know if I can swing it or not. In nine years I would love to find one of the original aircraft that were was flown on the nineteen twenty, nine race wanted to travel errors. Lockheed, one of the ones that those pioneering woman flew not the exact airport not not like these specific serial number Intel number because obviously they're probably not really around unless they're in a museum somewhere the type so. I'd love to find that type and then fly it on the twenty twenty-nine areas for the lake hundred year anniversary of the nineteen twenty, nine race probably will have to fly non comp on non-competition but I would love to try and do something like that. Just to kind of pay homage to the first woman who raced end just to that legacy in the torch that is being carried year after year with. So that's kind of what I am looking forward to not sure if it's going to happen but would love to try. A. You truly are carrying that torch in our an an ambassador for both women in aviation and also the air race classic. So we really appreciate you for what you do for everybody out there and I'm sure that somebody listening right now is going to be inspired by your story. So thanks for coming on. Little thanks for having me. I really appreciate the opportunity to spread the word about the area than women pilots than be an advocate for both than if anybody had just kind of want to give this last message, I know we kind of like skirted over the actual race itself, how it's conducted of, but if anybody wants to learn more. They can hit me up on social media either my personal site, the area site you can go to the areas classic website. That's where all of our information is We actually started an archive at the Texas Women's university down in Denton Texas. That's where the women's Airforce Service Pilots Archives are. So the WASP archives are down there we now have an air sea. Archive for the women's areas. So if anybody wants to find out more information all of those places are a very, very good resource to use. "When it comes to the actual race the way you try and beat your handicap speed. Is during the race, you're trying to fly the perfect cross country. So you're trying to sit there and you're looking at route you're going okay. Do I have terrain do I want to go over the terrain will that climb hurt my handicap speed or do I stay low and I go around the terrain? Airspace kind of have to think, okay. Am I going to go around airspace go under airspace am I going to try and go through the airspace and comply with ATC instructions the only issue with that is of ATC tells you to deviate of your course or gives you an instruction you have to abide by that obviously so. All of these are kind of being mixed into the whole bigger picture. Of trying to fly that perfect cross country and then to kind of expand even bigger on it. With those seven stops along the route? while. You're flying trying to beat your handicap speed. You GotTa land for fuel somewhere right. So we land an each of these stops you have what's called a timing line. So you fly the timing line to start in stop your time. So. When you fly a leg, they know what time you took off. They know at time you landed. So then they can average your speed because they know the distance on that league as well. So we're collecting data from both the bad else tracker. And the manual data. So then at the end of all of the legs get to the terminus, they submit all of the data they compute all the data and then at the end of the race. They compile lists of everybody is basically. points, so the highest points. Wins and the slowest points we actually get what's called a turtle award. They're not left out that that's kind of held the point system works and not held the race works is it's just that point system who's flying the fastest to beat their handicapped speed by the largest margin. It's almost similar to the complexities of for me, golf and handicapping. It's interesting that you talk about the bad else is this something is new the technology they're using or is it something that been doing for years? They've been doing it ever since I started racing. So I started racing back in two thousand fourteen. So we're using the battles back then..

"Aircraft with a horse power between one hundred to six hundred horsepower, and there's such a different variety of aircraft because it's such an open playing field of what your craft you can use In the different speeds are associated with that variety, it's not a race to the finish line. It's actually a points race. Now, it used to be a race to the finish line, but now what we do is we assign a handicap speed to every team. So the process of erase. Is when you want to join you register in once you're approved, you get a handicapped flight and then you go on race. So to kind of expand on this handicap flight, what it is is it's were team is assigned A. Designated air. Sea is also areas classic for those that don't know Their Designated Pilot Aka handicapped pilot, and that's just somebody who flies with the team and day they check during the flight to make sure they're doing everything that they're supposed to be doing. So there's cheating during this flight. So the handicap light you go up, you fly with the handicapped pilot you go up to an altitude of six thousand density altitude and you fly like a box pattern. So you fly northeast southwest and during that flight you're flying with a battle GPS tracker. So you throw that up on the dash while you're going through this flight seven-minute legs on each direction, it's tracking all the data it's tracking altitude airspeed, and in the handicap pilot is also noting down all of the ground speed readings manually. In case, the battle GPS tracker is not collecting data for some reason when you got on the ground. So. While you're doing this flight the configuration, the aircraft is in race configuration. So prop full forward Max power mixture lean to your best best power. and. Then basically from that once you get all that done. That data that's collected during the flight is set off to our data team, which they plug into their computer program. It works its magic and computes your top speed. So then that top speed is not assigned to the team, and then that is your handicap speed. So the reason why that's so important for this race is because anytime you're going over your handicapped speed, you're gaining points anytime you're flying under your handicap speed you're. Losing points. So again, because they're such a big variety of of aircraft, we've got Cessna one seventy twos. We've got one eighty, two's you've got bonanzas. You've got different beechcraft you've got a moonies Grens I've seen a Husky actually be involved you can do twins as long as they're naturally aspirated I, haven't seen very many of those because I think it's a higher operating cost but with with that everybody is racing. kind of against themselves, but also against everybody else. So it kind of makes a little interesting So with that..

Hi, Carl. There's lots of information on the Internet and I know you may have heard about it before on the podcast a few years ago we had a friend Lin K. would of the podcast come on and talk a little bit about the the CL- areas classic didn't get too much into I think the history and all but we're gonNA talk a little bit about that and some other things like the challenges and also the benefits of getting involved and what the organization really is. So, Kelly first of all you actually are an airline pilot, is that correct and you in you flight cargo what type of an aircraft you fly now? So I have been employed with mayor flight for about three years and I am a captain on the Beach Ninety, nine airliner, it is a mid sized twin turbo prop. So I'm based out of Omaha Nebraska. Cool and when you're not doing that you're out helping out with a lot of different things in in really. Really promoting aviation for everybody especially for a lot of the females out there and I really appreciate what you're doing especially on instagram. which by the way, we'll have a link in the show notes to that instagram page. But. We're talking today about the areas classic and areas classic as for me. I didn't know what it was at first be honest with you till somebody said Oh it you know it's the powder puff derby and I said wait a minute I've heard of that but it really isn't I'm kind of get ahead of myself on the history. So tell us a little bit about the race classic and and and maybe go into a little bit of that history as to how it came to be there as classic saying you're not wrong about it being referred to as the powder Puff Derby. Ian People still kind of refer to it as that today. But what the race classic is is it's an annual all women's areas. That's approximately twenty four, hundred statue miles in length with seventy-nine stops along the route and the route changes every year So women across the country and across the world come to the US to fly this you can race in a naturally aspirated Piston.
