"For Senate on NewsRadio 1000 Katie. Okay, some of the other issues I know that are important to Oklahoma Energy. Where do you stand supported the oil and gas industry. I know that my opponent has tried to paint me as everything. I'm not on this issue, but I support the women gas industry. It's a bit of our economy is vital to Oklahoma. But I also believe while at the same time supporting oil and gas industry, we can also work to fight the adverse effects of climate change. It doesn't have to be one of the other and I've even talked to people in the industry about this and they say, Look, you know, making money is great, but we don't have clean air and clean water and a planet to live on. What's the point of making all that money? I'm gonna be supportive. The industry this one area where I'll break with my party. I don't support a ban on fracking. We need to make sure that we keep the oil and gas industry robust in our state. It is so vital to our economy. One of the cause. Celebes on this program, and to me is Second Amendment Rights. Where does Abby Boyle stand on the Second Amendment? I support the Second Amendment. I support responsible gun ownership. You know what I do support things like universal background checks. A piece of legislation has been on Mitch McConnell death for quite some time. It is restless that you're able to go to a gun show and be able to get a gun out a proper background check. I'm not or extreme gun control reform. Like a lot of folks in my party I again in Oklahoma Hunting is Part of our way of life. Here. Keep your pistols keeper shotgun. I'm not going Tio, take any guns away from anyone. Do you think we need some reform there when it comes? To implement universal background checks. Abby Broyles, candidate for Senate running against Jim and the Hoff in the upcoming November 3rd election earlier, and I talked with the senator, and we've talked a lot about the Supreme Court nomination. What are your thoughts on Judge Amy Cockney brought a barrette? Well, I think it is just the latest effort to abolish the affordable care act with for nomination process again. So many Oklahomans are relying on you. A P A to have access to health insurance. She has said Before that she believes the A is unconstitutional. She would overturn it right now. This is just a political power play strip, Oklahoma and other health care, You know, It's very frustrating to see this in court nomination being crammed through right now. When so many Oklahomans are hurting. We need another round of Copan relief not coming through this nomination that is going to dismantle the with somebody Oklahomans depend on You mentioned the Corona virus. What are your thoughts on how it's been handled at the federal level? I think it's been a complete disaster. We know about months ago and didn't take precautions. My opponent know about it back in January, he was briefed on it. And instead of saying anything, he said, quiet. He sold off his stock. He treated it like a hoke. And now here we all were so many lives have been upended. We'll know what happened with our school. So many kids trying to learn from home on a laptop People are out of work. So many of our small have had to shut down all because of a lack of leadership. Amy Broyles is with us. I'm sorry. Abby Broyles is with us. I keep thinking about that. The judge. We just talked about candidate for Senate on NewsRadio 1000 Katie Okay, and some of the other prospects and some of the other issues that are near and dear to you. Public education is very important to me. I'm a product of Oklahoma public school. I want to make sure that every child has access to the same quality public education that I had. That means making sure that our federal dollars are going to public school. Making sure that we have everything in place for our kids to be able to get an education right now they're learning from home. They need to have access to a laptop or a tablet. Too many teachers they talk to their kids are trying to learn on their parent's cell phone. That's just not going to work right now. We need to protect our public gold, our kids, our future, and I can tell you for the past 20 years. The educators to go to Washington to meet with our federal delegation have had 80 80 trips to Washington, where they had an opportunity to meet with every member of the federal delegation, and my opponent has only met with them One time in 20 years. We have to make public education a priority again. Abby Broyles, candidate for Senate. Make sure that you first of all registered to vote and do vote. "Katie Okay, eight for a 1000 Leigh Matthews ok dot com to join in the conversation, and we've got a lot to chat about today, namely Joe Biden, who went on the campaign trail today and kinda Kind of fizzled out like a firework that you light and that just that doesn't do much. We used to call that a shoo shoo in my day and your thoughts on that on his radio 1000 Katie. Okay, Shelly Jamal has been made the permanent head of the unemployment office, which I think is a great move. She's done a great job. Yes, She had a really bumpy road when things got started, but she had absolutely positively doggy doo doo to deal with when she took over that job. In fact, I don't know that I was taking that job. And even after all the work she's had to go through to correct everything that was wrong with that job and bring it up to date, and I don't think she's succeeded yet, But she's made giant strides. I would've been tempted to just toss the keys and said, See you later. But I congratulate her. She has done a very good job, and it's getting better and the number one thing she had to do was to update the computer system because it was doggy Doo doo. If you don't believe gun control its central for Democrats. We had some evidence for that, and we're having some conversations to about Horn and Kendra Horn and also Stephanie by Sun News Radio. 1000 Katie Okay, eight for a 1000 Leigh Matthews, Katie okay dot com to join in the conversation stew, writes Lee. I will be voting for Stephanie bys, but a couple of corrections on something you said. I don't believe There was any proof that Terry niece was involved in the club for growth ads against Vice Okay, stew. I have sources. I can't say who they are, because I'll get them in big trouble. But I have sources that Terry Nis sat down and met with the club for growth before the runoff period began. So you can't tell me that they didn't talk about What it is they wanted to do against Vice So You can believe what you want. I've got sources. Anyway still goes on to say, I think they come out against anyone that votes for tax increases regardless of the reason and Terry niece did indeed have a record, but it was as a successful business person rather than as a political record. Yeah, that's right. Then why was she attacking Bice is political record. You see, this is the This is the frustration. I'm running into stew. I had a call earlier in the show. Well, what about the 11th commandment from Ronald Reagan? That is I've been hit with that about three times since the runoff. What about Reagan? Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment. Thou shalt not attack. Another Republican. Vice didn't do the attacking Terry niece did. And if you want me to, I will put a pin in that and say, OK, benefit of the doubt. Teri niece didn't know anything about club for growth, but she did. And say the club for growth came to town. Well, if the come for growth is a Republican conservative organization, why're they violating the 11th commandment? I'm tired of Terry of Stephanie vice being accused of breaking that commandment. She didn't She wasn't the one that did it. It was Terry Niece, if not by proxy through the club for growth. Now is the club for growth now going to come and support Kendra Horn that will be really entertaining to may. The club for growth that asserts itself is a Republican conservative organizations supporting terror supporting Kendra Horn. So I'll tell you what I think. Really lost it for niece. I think it was that it was that debate performance when they asked when the debate the debate moderators asked her would she disavow herself from club for growth? And she sighed Ho know who club for growth is really Really? Now I knew she had a personal sit down with the club for growth. And I'm going to give the audience in that room that was watching the debate the benefit of the doubt that they did not Even they weren't fooled by that performance. Now. It doesn't really matter. What Terry niece did or did not do. She didn't win the run off, and I apologize. I sound like I'm beating up on Terry niece. I'm not. I think she would have been a very good candidate. I don't think she had the financial organizations in place to beat Kendra Horn. This is what I've been trying to say for the last two years, and nobody seems to wanna listen to me. Kendra Horn. Is very well financed. And you're not going to see a million dollars with the television commercials. You're not going to hear her, probably on this radio station. Because it's a ground campaign. She's got minions that are paid cash to go throughout Oklahoma City to all of these small little precincts, where there's a lot of nursing homes or underprivileged people who do not trust government or anybody else and rarely participate in the process. And they make any. They don't do it for them. That's illegal. They don't feel the ballots out for them. That's illegal. They don't tell them who to vote for. That's illegal, but they sure as hell accommodate them and make sure they know who is accommodating them. Well, Absentee ballots need to be notarized. They have plenty of notaries standing by with a stamp to change. And whoever wants to beat Kendra Horn is goingto have tohave a machine. You're not going to be Kendra Horn by why carry a Bible and a 44 by my bed? Really? A gun that would probably knock you down if you shot it, But okay? Eight for a 1000 Leigh Matthews, Katie okay dot com High You were on the air. Hi. This is Jackie from Yukon and we I love your show. But I just want to put in a word for Kendra Horn. She had 27.

"Why would you want to have a red dot side on the pistol? Well, we kind of explain that and go over the positives and negatives. NewsRadio 1000 Katie Okay, speaking of which now builds Emperor. I know that there has been a lot of things said on and off of social media about the shootings in Wisconsin. I am withholding judgment until I get more facts, which right now are very hard to come by. Yeah. And this is an important point here because we we still don't have the complete picture of what happened in this incident involving Jacob Blake. We're beginning to hear Maurin formacion about this Now what led to the shooting that you know, there were seven shots, fire. We know that. But we also now know that Jacob Blake was the focus of a 911 call. The call was made by a female who said that her boyfriend was there when he was not supposed to be there and that he had taken her car keys and wouldn't give them back. Police arrived. This was a man who had an outstanding warrant against him. They attempted to tase him two times. Ah, and he was still uncooperative. They know he had a knife where that knife was located. We're still not sure. But these are all things that that we can add into this picture here before rushing to judgment. In this If you e officers, nobody's been charged yet, although they've been put on administrative duty, and we now know the officer who was involved in the shooting is a seven year veteran of the force, so not a rookie, someone who's been around for a while. Still a long way to go in this investigation, Lee and yes, it's wise to advise not to rush to rush to judgment here in this case or or any case where deadly forces used well, then I'm also referring Tio 17 year old who was supposed to be defending our allegedly defending property. I mean, I've read stories that it was his grandfather's property of red stories that he just drove in out of the blue. I'm reading all kinds of things. I just don't know what to believe. At this point. And we don't know. We don't know. But I think there's one thing that we can all conclude and agree to hear that. Ah Ah, it's not a good idea. To go to a protest with a long gun. There's nothing good that can happen in that situation. But again, we do not know. Ah, exactly what the circumstances were surrounding this. We do know a little bit about this young man so far, but not everything surrounding the entire situation. There's also been a lot of outcry. Over this, because, uh, it seemed like police were willing to give this kid a pass. Even though other people were saying, Hey, he just shot somebody of the police. Let him walk on by well again. We don't know exactly what was going on there, either. But it just goes to show you Lee. How these things can really spiral out of control. This one certainly has. On a number of issues here, this police shooting itself and then the subsequent deadly shooting by this teenager there in Kenosha. Some good news out of Kenosha is another night of relative calm. There were some protest last night. Uh, and there were some arrests made. The curfew goes into effect at 7 P.m. each night, and it seems like things are for the most part calm. Certainly nothing like we saw earlier in the week. Well, and let's talk a little about the n behind. No right away. They decided we're not going to play and I'm just thinking to myself. Okay. You've had most of your season screwed up by the pandemic. You Ah, you know, you're we're trying to get you back out on the court, so you can do what you do best. I'm not sure this is the time T start looking for excuses to not play. Yeah. Now you can understand the Milwaukee Bucks. You're a stone's throw from Kenosha. Ah, you could understand why the Bucks wouldn't want to play on Wednesday night, but that then expanded into several games..

Oh, I know there's plenty of ice cream to make in total. So it is. But mountain man thie. Other thing that's going on here is that I think the schools are anticipating having to close or at least be closed longer. So they're opening sooner for Elektronik learning so that if parents decided to opt into the Elektronik learning, they can at least get a full semester in, so I think that's the other concern. Not that's I think that's what the parents are concerned about. Well, but still it's like you're talking about shutting wanted talk last warm and cool air conditioner and world the whole time, you know, you know, but it's a waste Pence. In my opinion. House Appropriations Defense subcommittee chair Pete Visclosky calls the Defense Department's diversions of money, habitual abuses of power. But I do want to express my upset with how these actions have irreparably damaged the department's credibility with the committee. The legislation also provides a $1,000,000 for Army installations to change Confederate names. President Trump has threatened to veto any measure that changes the names of military bases. "Radio 1000 Katie Okay. Michael Bauer joining me from 24 7 News and Michael, the latest on the reports that the Russians have placed bounties on the lives of American soldiers. Deployed in Afghanistan. Now this is a bit dubious and I'm wondering. Is this a legitimate story? Or is this more of the Russian hoax? Depends on who you ask President Trump was apparently briefed on this yesterday, and so were Republicans in Congress. And while Republicans in Congress are coming away, saying that on some level the The unfurling of this U. S. Intelligence agencies have developed information about a Russian military operation targeting US and allied forces in Afghanistan, and they suggested that in the U. S response should wait until intelligence agencies fully reviewed the material. President Trump just simply lined it up as another Russian hoax. So we're still left with more questions here today than we have answers for, And we know that this has kind of been swirling over the past couple of days. These revelations that Russia may have paid Taliban militants. To kill US troops in Afghanistan in 2019 and that at least one case we're looking at April in in April of 2019 where a car bomb took the lives of three Marines that that is being investigated in direct connection to this alleged Russian effort, But again President Trump has denied being at the time had denied being briefed on it at all. Either vice president the chief of staff, None of them had been briefed, and it added that everybody is denying it and that there have not been many attacks on us Now. I guess the other definition there's of many because we know that since April 2019. We've had 20 U. S military death in Afghanistan and now those families are questioning whether or not this goes back to a bounty put out by the Russians. So Is all sorts of questioning going on here, and there's some evidence they're coming out in articles that are concerning right. There's bits of evidence that, um the very I would say, I don't know the right friendly John Bold, meaning he likes to write books, and he's friendly about selling those books but isn't necessarily coming out and speaking about the things until they get published in the book. But then national security adviser John Bolton in March of 2019 apparently briefed trouble Trump on the Russian scheme on a personal level, not even within the confines of the president's daily brief. Then you fast forward to reports from the New York Times, indicating that the intelligence had been included in the February 27th of this year. Addition of President Trump's Daily brief, which was just two days before the president struck a deal with the Taliban and that that was included into there that they were currently working on a deal with Russia. And then you saw from the White House yesterday that the White House said the president was never briefed on it. And they're all this information that is coming from these intelligence officials weren't unified. They they weren't on the same page. People were still conducting investigations and that the president would not be addressed on any of that. Until that information became clear through everybody, which, according to CIA officials, is not true that they don't provide information to the president after they've confirmed it. Their goal is to put into the president's daily brief things that should be on the president's radar that are important and requires attention. They will put context into that as well, though they'll give all of the proper caveats and qualifiers and say that, you know, not everybody in the communities feel the same way and here's who feel differently. But they said they won't wait for there to be a consensus when they put this into the president's Daily brief. So we're left with a bunch of questions here, which pretty clear that senior officials in the Trump administration have had intelligence on this plot to kill Americans for more than a year, But when was the president briefed about it? How many times did the president Failed amount. Any response is he had best alarmingly unaware of this stuff at worst, lying about the knowledge of it and why all of those kinds of questions have yet to be answered. And with that, just one little last bit of information that's kind of been stirring in my mind. Why would we not tell the president this intelligence information when we shared it with the British counterparts, the people who are fighting alongside of us in Afghanistan, which, according to reports here may have been targeted as well. So our intelligence communities shared it with the Brits. But then wouldn't present it to the president. It seems like there's a lot more answers that we need to have, and it's not coming anytime soon. And if that is the case why? Because it's already pretty clear the Justice Department those in the Justice Department tried to frame the president, as are now we worried that the intelligence department is doing the same thing or at least we know We know the president's been been critical of the Intelligence Department when we've heard him heard him talk about what the intelligence reports have been saying about voter interaction from Russians and how they were involved in some level in sowing discord, and whether that was true or not. He wrote that off to a Russian hoax, there's been all kinds of since day one fight if you will between President Trump And our intelligence communities, and it feels like this on some level is, you know another strained relationship between the White House and these intelligence communities. But it's becoming clearer and clearer that what is supposed to be or what we've heard from officials usually is put into a presidential daily briefing. And what the president is saying is happening are two completely different things and that doesn't feel right. And you kind of dig deeper. Go. Is it not something the intelligence community's tell him is there in between somebody in between the intelligence community in the president that is making a decision on whether or not this gets filtered through through it all there. This is a clear cut indication that there are concerns about the Trump administration's foreign policy portions of this They also need to be addressed. And we can't get a straight answer from anybody. Which is why I to me. It's still very, very dubious. It seems to me someone somewhere is trying to keep this alive for some reason, But thank you for the update. Michael Bauer on NewsRadio 1000 Katie. "Katie. Okay. Tech guy. Eighty eight s clearly phone number. Chris in Lakewood, California, thanks for hanging on Chris. Welcome. I have a question. Online all day on my PC. And I work on word documents and files, I'm a professional proofreader neat. And do you. Find it easier to proofread on a screen or on paper. Oh, I do it onscreen. See I think it would easier on paper. But maybe not because know. Client, semi the work. Right. So you're not going to print it out just to prove. Yeah. And what my question is. For everything over to my surface. So I can work on my book. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I can't do that. It's on a desktop PC. And you want to transfer it over to a surface PC exactly is this something you're gonna do all the time or you just want to do once. All the time that way. Here's what I would suggest. Here's what I would suggest. If if you only do it once or twice. I mean, there's a dozen ways to do this. You could set up a network share. You could use a USB key or USB drive. But if you're going to do it all the time I would use because you already have it Microsoft's one drive, which is their cloud storage solution. And when you turn one drive on on your PC on your surface device. You'll make a one drive folder. It'll be in your home folder. And what I would suggest is put all the documents that you want wanna proofread all the documents. You're working on in that one dry folder. That'll mean, it's accessible on the PC. But also accessible on the surface. Furthermore, any changes you make or not making those documents will be saved to that single? You know folder, and they'll automatically get synchronized over to the other computer. So I think the best way to do it. In your case, you're going to do all the time. You wanna work on documents in multiple locations is to use one drive. There's even more sophisticated ways to do this. I don't I don't think you need to set it up. I do I have many as you might imagine different computers, MAC PC and Lennox and for a hobby one of the things I like to do is is right software. But the problem is I don't always do it on the same computer. Sometimes I'll be at my desk. Sometimes I'll be at work. Sometimes I'll be at home in the. The living room. And so I want that project that I'm working on to be available everywhere. This is something that happens so often in programming that there are a number of ways to do this in the programming world. They call them repositories are version control systems. That's the old name of emerging control systems and the most popular most widely used one is called Git G. I t was created by the guy did Lennox Linus Torvald some years ago to keep track of all the code in lenox. So I use get and what I do is. I synchronize when I sit down at my desktop. I will synchronize I'll do a get command. The polls in any changes made elsewhere and when I finish my project on the desktop. I'll then push those changes back up and that way they're available to everybody else. It's a really nice way for multiple users or even a single user to work on a project and make sure that project stays, synchronized. It's a little bit more complicated. But it's been made easier and easier as you know, Microsoft recently bought a service call. I'll get hub which is very popular with programmers. And I know a number of novelists and other writers who use get and get hub to keep track of their writing. Even if they're not working with anybody else because it allows them use multiple computers and has an additional advantage. You can keep multiple versions of the same file. So if you if you wanna try something, for instance, in your novel, you can create a new branch, and and put all the things you're trying there. And if it doesn't work out, no harm, no foul. If you like it, then you could commit the branch to the main repository, it's kind of a more sophisticated way of working. But if you do this a lot and might be something worth investigating then you wouldn't be limited just to your desktop and your surface, you could do it anywhere. But one drive will have that advantage to wonder if it's kind of a simpler way of working probably the easiest way to and you already have it as all windows users. Do Marian Prescott Arizona, Leo LaPorte the tech Marion Heine. Honey, I love your show. Oh, thank you for listening, eight eight note. Yup. And I'm just within the last week or so I've been used very loud pop up ads while they pop up in the middle of Texas, and he stopped me from texting. Even if it's just sitting on the table, and I'm not doing anything with it at all they're popping up down. So they go someplace, and I can't have things happening in my personal whatever I have to turn all the sounds off. Yeah. Well, it's worse than that. I mean, you don't want those pop ups at all that means somebody's installed something malicious on your Android device. This is not good. You don't want. This not just because it's loud. So yeah, you gotta figure out where it's coming from is it it's only when you're texting or is it. No. Okay. I'm not doing anything. So it doesn't matter. What program you're using? It's not a browser could be any program. Just pops up, right? Yeah. So you're getting you probably installed something which is doing it. And the problem is you don't know what? So the first thing to do is go through your apps your installed apps. You know, you open the Google play store. And there's a section there. My apps and look at the apps you've got installer. Make sure you need everything that's on there. If there's any doubt. Uninstall it. And eventually I suspect you'll find the one is not going to be a mainstream program. It's not gonna be Microsoft Word or Google maps. It's going to be something like, you know, Russian Hecker wallpaper get all fifty something like that. It's it's unfortunate. But there this is almost almost a virus. But not quite I think if Google knew about it, they'd probably block it, but the key is in shopping and different. So the guy who wrote this. This is how it works. Some guy wrote. This is I'm in the make some money from from naive Americans. I'm going to make app. That's really cool. That does something that people will download they'll download it might even do that. But at the same time behind the scenes, it installs little software that will pop up ads and every time you see that ad. He makes a penny. So he's making money by forcing you to look at ads, but also it's militias, and I would definitely figure out what app it's coming from. Okay. If I clear my cache did I miss up my passwords as well. Or can I in and try to get things with my cash, you can't. But if you installed the app that won't get rid of the app, it'll stay there. So you really have to figure out what the app is. It could be. I mean, you know, the problem with Android is there a lot of kind of. The the legal term of art is attractive nuisances. If there are a lot of attractive nuisances in the Android play store apps. It looked like they'd be kind of cool, but by uninstalled the app installed it it doesn't stay on. My no it will go away. It will go away. Okay. I'll I just go through the most recent apps you installed and go back to when it started happening. One of those is doing it. And if honestly if that doesn't get rid of it, and maybe you have something more serious because it is possible to create an app that installs this even if the app is deleted most of the time, they don't do that. But if if it doesn't go away, if you've lied all the apps, you know, or you know, that you don't need and still there. Yeah. You might want to reset the phone. That's more than deleting. The cash that's deleting everything it's the factory data reset all my passwords again. Oy. Go get last pass or one passer. Get a password manager that way this won't happen again. Okay. My husband's working on that. But he's trying to get all the kids out of it before we get fully. And this is the real advantage. Yeah. Yes. So your passwords are stored in the phone in the browser where they stored. Just remembers them. Yes. If you delete a program at reinstall, you would know your password was. Yeah. Yeah. I think you can clear the cash without deleting passwords, but let's not let's not take a chance and certainly resetting.

This state-by-state study linked gun ownership with youth suicide
"Wrote in their report the model explained ninety two percent of of the variation. And overall youth suicide rates across the forty-seven states and Alaska for for instance. The suicide rate is fifteen point two per one hundred thousand people aged nineteen and under just under sixty percent of households have guns in South Dakota. The suicide rate is fourteen point nine per one hundred thousand again, sixty percent of homes owned guns in New York, New jersey. The suicide rate is two point seven and two point six per one hundred thousand and these are persons under the age of nineteen. But of course, New York and New Jersey have strict gun roles, and they don't have as many guns per household. Now, I'm not saying this. That's what this report is saying, but I wanted to give you this report because this report is leaving out one very important, caveat, caveat is the guns aren't responsible for the suicides the guns. Just so happened to coincide with the suicides. This report. I don't even think says the suicides were with the ones. And this is what frustrates me about people who do these kinds of studies the guns themselves by virtue of being guns are not responsible for the suicides. Maybe we need to look into why these particular states have you know, I would be willing to bet that Alaska has the same problem. Washington state has when when it's wintertime, and they don't have a lot of light. And the weather is gloomy for all. But maybe two hours of the day. That's pretty damn depressing. Have you been to South Dakota, especially in the wintertime? It's pretty damn depressing. The joke for my not North Dakota. Is why not mine not? Why not anywhere else from what I understand my in laws lived there for six years. So maybe that's the problem. The guns are not the problem. April one thousand star one thousand on NewsRadio one thousand Katie okay? Did join in the conversation. I'm leaving us.
US-China Trade Talks Resume With Optimism For A Deal
"Are in this delegation. A Geoffrey Garin who is the deputy US trade Representative is leading the delegation, but I think that's good because these are probably the guys who could I really do the grunt work on any type of trade agreement, and and could really roll up their sleeves and get something done here. Now will there be a big announcement out of the two days of talks? I doubt it, but could this lay the groundwork for an agreement down the road, that's more likely here. And I think the fact that the United States may be is kind of changing tack a little bit with China is encouraging and both sides are going in with some optimism. What change because of China was a bristling at a lot of the things that the United States was doing had. They do they what common ground of they found. In the meantime, well that remains to be seen. I think China has seen now that this ongoing dispute between the US and China is not good economically. We've had come. I reports coming out of China that definitely show a slow down there. They're manufacturing us loan down as well. So I think that they realize that it is in everybody's best interest to have some type of trade agreement with the United States. Now, it may be easier said than done I mean, some of the concrete items like. For instance. Okay, suppose, we're going to buy a million metric tons of soybeans. That's fine. I mean that kind of stuff can be can be worked out. It is the more abstract items like the alleged intellectual property theft by China or China's government sponsored economic program China twenty twenty-five where they will kind of bolster industries that they feel will be big in the future like, robotics and clean energy vehicles. Things like that. These are the things that are going to be tougher to resolve between the United States and China. And in addition, China's telecom giant Weiwei, which is trying to become the pre-eminent telecommunications company in the world in five G technology. The United States has already banned any purchase of their equipment in this country. So it really is. There are some difficult issues between the two. Yeah. I know that two of the intellectual properties been going on for years and years and years. Yeah. Really? This is something that it was always seen as maybe the cost of doing business in China. The Trump administration one of the first to call them out on this not an easy problem to solve. But again, I think that both countries realize that it's in their best interest. And the the best interests of the global economy for the two to at least get along with some type of basic agreement these islands that they built down in the South China Sea. Are they going to come up at all? Yeah. And it's interesting today as these talks were getting underway in Beijing. The United States floated a guided missile destroyer the USS Campbell through the South China Sea near the Paracel islands. And that's one of the groups of islands that China is trying to militarize and anytime we go through the South China Sea. It's an aggravant to China. So I don't know why we did it now. But it certainly is an issue that's going to aggravate the situation as is Taiwan, president Xi Jinping recently said the Chinese military should be ready for battle that China is not ruling out the use of force to bring Taiwan back into the fold. There's another issue between the US and China bills emperors with us on NewsRadio one thousand K T. Okay. Talking about China and relations with China. Are there any talks because I know that now that we have a Democratic Congress and know, they're they're pushing a green agenda and China is probably one of the biggest offenders in the world when it comes to carp fl chlorofluorocarbon emissions. Does that coming up on the table at all? Well, that's not one of the main issues coming up. Now, they they will be talking energy. And whether that is that comes up as part of that. I'm not sure, but as far as right now, some of the main issues that we're gonna talk about agriculture. Of course, they want to open up Chinese markets to our farmers once again without tariffs automobile tariffs that they had to pay on US auto is going into China. Brick and steel, of a nondescript building we've once again made contact with our leader Hello, everybody Mark Levin. Here our number eight seven seven three eight one three eight one one eight seven seven three eight one three eight. One one why, we have a full plate Full plate The, news outlets particularly FOX, Sky News some. Other reporting we have some deal with the European Union on non, Kar product, certain products Where the goal is to reduce or, eliminate tariffs And subsidies On non Kar products that are purchased And the way Sky News reports it Donald Trump has held a very big day for free and fair trade after reaching a deal to avert a blow a full-blown trade war with the EU, following talks with the European Commission president. John Claude Juncker at the White House Mr. Trump said the US in a you have agreed to work. To resolve their current dispute last month the US presidents slap tariffs on steel and aluminum imports to, prompt tit for tat measures, by Brussels including tariffs on bourbon. Whiskey Levi's jeans and Harley Davidson motorbikes. Mr. Trump had worn of retaliatory action your car makers. In a bid to de-escalate the quarrel Mr. Trump said he and Mr Juncker had agreed to work together toward. Zero-tariff, zero non-tariff barriers and zero subsidy now Mr. producer Zero tariffs zero subsidies who has. Been, preaching this Who's been preaching this and getting, calls for, some Trump supporters attacking me That we need tariffs to protect our industries Now there were some who said look, this is a negotiating tool for the president. But that's not what most said most said we need tariffs to protect our industries And what I what, have I been arguing no, get it down. As close to zero tear zero, subsidies, as possible try and work it out with, other countries if they don't go along we. Can go along anyway just do it Because money will. Flow into this country you know one of the things I meant. To mention yesterday in the past is when you talk about an imbalance? Of trade with the country one of the things that's not considered our, services and financial transactions that's a big deal for the United States just, products just products so it's. A phony number Now they're agreeing to work toward. Zero tariffs and zero subsidies On non automobile products I'm not one hundred. Percent show at that means is that includes steel and aluminum That. Would be great if it includes still aluminum but I didn't hear about stealing aluminum So we'll need to know more as time goes on, but this has been my point this, has been my argument the president campaign and say I want. Zero tariffs and zero subsidies if. I can get it from other countries and so forth that's not what he campaigned on they have genuflected. Somewhat over there. At the White House because I think you you, Lavigne I'ts out there you've been hurt I think you've been hurt by the White House which. Monitors this show That's why I. Say it's one thing to criticize the president, when we disagree with them it's, another thing to try and sabotage, him which is what the left, us which is what the media do. Which is what the Democrats do. Which is what the never. Trumpers do that's not what we do here that's not what I do So this is good if it's true if. It turns out to be accurate is what, I'm saying if they actually can, negotiate this no tariffs and no, subsidies that's the Levin position is, it not Mr. bidder I won't go. Back and play the audio over. And over and over again But that's our position And let's see, how this works out I hope it does Now I may wind up being tougher on. China than most people I'm not looking for. Trade deals with, China I'm not looking. For currency deals with China China's the enemy China's stealing our technology what kind of deal? Can we cut with China to stop them from stealing our technology But our allies I've never understood Why, we would treat. Them like China So free trade apparently is very very, important because now everybody's talking about it Everybody's talking about why Because. It's better for everybody that's why And now our companies have. To compete and our farmers will compete they're happy. To compete Perfectly fine by me Let's do it, in, steel and aluminum too Let's, remove all of our tariffs and subsidies well, only if the other guy does it well we should try, and ask the other guy to, do it but if. They don't do it they don't do, it Then more and more money will, flow in our country Money finances which doesn't. Even count towards the quote unquote imbalance of trade anyway We'll see, how this develops over time. There I hate getting into this stuff with this Michael Cohen and. The tape I hate it when the when the pseudo media drives the agenda but I've heard so much misinformation and disinformation and ignorance when it comes to our federal, campaign laws and whether Trump is on the hook for violating our campaign loss he's, led, to, a close to being on the hook, for violating our campaign laws I had Bradley Smith on this program. A few months ago the former chairman of the Federal Election Commission he wrote a beautiful piece in the Wall Street Journal he spoke at length us and he's coming, back at the bottom of the hour so we can go through this yet again You can have a nondisclosure agreement I've been saying. This now for months. Months months months with stormy Daniels or anybody else a nondisclosure, agreement is not hush money a nondisclosure agreement. Is not illegal a nondisclosure agreement even in a campaign. Is not a campaign violation and in no circumstances is it criminal this entire issue as another shiny object it's another phony issue That CNN they got the tape obviously from Lanny Davis when you, see Lanny Davis there yes ambulance chasing slip and fall. Lawyer that's right Lanny Every damn lie the Clintons ever. Told Lanny. Defendant So, now he's, there Michael. Cohen's lawyer trashing the president this. Guy Michael Cohen what a sleazeball I never spoke to him in my life. I never communicated with. Them in my life what a, sleazeball you're, taping your. Client apparently repeatedly Got a dozen tapes What are you going to? Do with. The tapes Sarah counselor you're gonna use. It against your client Incredible I think the New York bar ought to be taking a look at. This they're probably cheering on Michael Cohen and Lanny Davis right now. Too Colin could turn on Trump who cares if he turns on Trump a nondisclosure agreement with a payment is is. Legal while he might have set up an LLC a corporation to launder the. Money through without Trump's name on it in order to doesn't matter You're not laundering money they're LLC's I love place There's nothing illegal. There's nothing shifty there's, nothing wrong. With an LLC I don't. Have one but people have them Under our tax laws Perfectly permissible Well that way they won't know who's making, the payment who cares The issue here's Michael Cohen the issue is what the hell's Lanny Davis doing. In, the middle of this trashing the president of the. United States Well Cohen's gonna turn on Trump turn on Trump about what Here, we, are going. Down, another rabbit hole Russia now. Michael Cohen Russia Michael Cohen I'll, be, right.
