"Good morning. Everyone welcome to the mindless morning. Show with my co says. Oh is coda today. We have a very very special guest. We have ryan kasahda. I hope i said last name property. Perfect very very nice. Last name i like. What does that originally from thank you. That is sicilian italian okay. I hunch but. I didn't want to make an so. You're singer songwriter. Your credibly talented. And i'll let you take it away and tell us a little bit about yourself. Yes sure. I i guess i wear a lot of hats. I do. Obviously singing and songwriting is my my main thing. Which i've been doing since. I was a little kid and i also do acting and activism since i was thirteen what does activism at thirteen four. You yeah thirteen years old already going to speak at other schools and educate them on about the lgbtq community thirteen. I i had to take speech my senior year of high school. Because i nobody had told me that i had to take speech to graduate. I remember my senior high school dude speech. And i hated it so i. That's that's crazy that you would do that. Thirteen pretty fearless now looking back now. It's kind of weird to be like dang at thirteen thirteen. I was still playing video games. Picking my nose. Like i was quite quite lane in my younger years so compared to now. I'm pretty okay. Okay so right you you are a transgender female-to-male tell us about that journey. And what has brought you from. What brought you to that point and where you're at now. Yeah i guess like really was always like a feeling of being different. But i couldn't pinpoint what it was exactly. I have two brothers and we were all pretty much raised. The same by my parents like we were allowed to play with any toys and pretty much dress the way that we wanted to express ourselves the way that we wanted to so my parents were never like strict about gender roles and stereotypes and stuff like that so i kind of had free range and then i think like around puberty is when i started to realize i was like pretty different than my brothers but also very the same right so When i i i was at the lgbt censor. Because i realized i was Bisexual but i didn't. I never heard of trans yet..

"Draw the buildings this way i can get them to appear like such and now i gotta think about it for three people. And that's just a lot of web's the draw. That never really became an issue. I think the script. I think what you're saying is something that could happen but ryan being accomplished artist. Kind of is very aware of all this things. So like i you know. I think the his choices were there to maximize like things looking interesting on the page. Not making things. Like i think a lot of times like i write to and a lot of what the way that i think about. Things is a little less like cinematic blocking and a little more like. I don't know like i don't think about stuff like it's real. It's all metaphorical to me. And i know ryan's the exact same way like we've talked about that so it's like well. Who cares if this person was in front. This time they can be back now. It's about like making sure the characters read the right way in the panels and making sure the word balloon tales. Don't cross and all that stuff like so like he's you know it was. I didn't have to think much about like crossing stuff. It was humidity. Pretty you know made a super easy for me and just let me companies. We had bryan ryan on our show like a a few years ago and he's he's been great to kind of join us every now and again and i always really appreciated his kind of like a cartoonist approach and like he always emphasized like especially with spiderman villains kind of like upping the animalistic design and moving away from lake and real anatomical accuracy in his work. Can you speak about your kind of design process and and you know how you would define your style of art. If i was going to find my style of our when a cut well so there's two versions of me essentially. There's the version of me that y'all see at marvel and dc then there's the horror version of me The marvel dc version is very much. Like what would johnny to junior do. And what would joke asada do in. Like how do i make these characters like they way on billion pounds like that's really always the always the move for me not about bulk. I guess but about like volume. We want their bodies to feel three dimensional and heavy and like they could if they hit the ground like the ground might crack. Like i wanted to feel like everything's solid so for me. It's about like making the proportions like crazy and like wow. I don't like. I don't think james herron right where stretch out like crazy or get kinda smooth noodle way offended. Like like he's a genius date. You know there's so many great cartoonists out there i dislike. I look at things more mechanistically where it's like. Okay what a. What can i do to make this heavy and intense and Menacing essentially and. Where does that come from there. Are there you mentioned. Kasahda ramona junior and mcfarland. You know this kind of approach super heroics on the page. Are those your shining idols or go back further than that. Yes definitely but like there's there's a sinister quality that that frank miller always had and that even mozza celli months..

"And flipped the scrip fast. Go back to the that. Good scorcher team. I don't know how you do that with the drop of a hat next day. Day game a after you just got taking two of three at home against the baltimore orioles. Taiwan's just got a pitch very well. Bought a old cliche goes it starts with the the guy in the mount starts with the starting pitcher because guess what this start that gives them some breathing room to tha but if tyron again can't get through the fifth inning which he has been unable to do as less to starts out how the how the heck are they're going to get five innings out of this bullpen. This team they four wins in a row this team. I'm talking about the baltimore the baltimore. I'm talking about the toronto blue jays. They're scary team right now. I've said they were scared since spring training but right now this this team scares the shit out of me Looking at this more. They're scaring me even more because they have some They got a chip on their shoulder. A little bit of revenge from the the last series against the yankees yankees just got their ass kicked by the blue jays. Basically taking a two or three. They're in a vulnerable position. This is a young team hungry team at at new york in the bronx that want to make a mark these types of kids that wanna that want to embarrass you when possible so not feeling good about that. I'm not feeling good about that. There's a lot of a lot of a motivation for them. They're playing well. They see the yankees in their sights. What are we up. Four games four and a half on on toronto a half hour and a half with four to play like that that they have another series for to play in this series. That's that's a. That's a very clean thing to do when you're when you're when you're looking at the blue jays for some Bolton board material. Yeah all right little little half episode on memorial day as labor day weekend labor day. Monday you guys are enjoying the holiday and the weekend and scott nice so there's a busy week for the yankees just like you said the four games but also we have the jeeter hall of fame speech coming up this week so you and i are going to do an episode after we hear that and react. I i am. I kind of have high expectations for it full. Well knowing i'm going to be let down because eaters. Just going to be very jittery. I think in. I don't think we're gonna get it. He's opened up more. He's definitely opened up more and started talking about certain things. So maybe this is know. I think he started doing that with the player's tribune. When when that whole thing started that was what the year after he retired. And then you know he's gotten he has kids now so there's a lot more of emotions that are like swirling in this man's brain. We'll see how the composure has changed. And how he can do it because this is gonna hit. The nostalgia button really hard for everybody. There's going to be a lot of people there watching him. You know supporting him and He's not going to be able to do this by just like staring out at a screen. There's been a whole bunch of things right. The the voicemails. What he's going to do. I think is go back to the stories and then turn it on people. And that's how he gets through those moments rather than like all being him he'll turn and he'll he'll talk about the impact and he'll talk about the things that certain people did for him and then turned it into like a little bit of story joke. And then he'll deflect in that way he's gonna he's gonna hill definitely have some self deprecating In in the speech over under time on the speech he put. What's an average speech. I don't know what an average i don't know what was griffin minutes. I'd say five minutes. I'd say over the five minutes. I take over five minutes. If if if i were to guess it would be around ten but i don't even know if i'm closing long. I think that might be long. I feel like i long career long career. There's a lot of people can say nice things about him. He's got a lot of people have thanked. There's a lot of things that went on the kid from kalamazoo all the way through all this championships with the yankees. And now he's started a whole other baseball life with with the marlins like he's got a lot how much if any of the speech will have the marlins in it. I think if anything it will it will tie help tie it to just how baseball is continuing and how he learned everything from the organization and is applying that. I don't even think i'll say the name. I don't think. I don't think he'll say that. Name florida marlins new organization or no. I think he'll just say influence how. I have continued my baseball career. Or something. like that. like he'll just allude to it but not say it. Does he mention. He'll go back into the yankee ways like in immediately he obviously will think george steinbrenner. Joe torry probably joe girardi as well since he did win. Stick michael i bet. Stick michael shout here. Does buck showalter get a a mention now. I mentioned obviously his teammates. Kasahda pettitte mariano. Those are the core for bernie hopefully gets a gets a mention bernie's part of the core. Yes she's part of the queen's not the core four that was a marketing thing that that was a very very williams. Yeah why am. I buy completely missing. This guy's name steiner sports. That was that was a steiner sports thing who who who mark them the core for the core five. I don't care what anybody says. Does a rod get a mention. No very strategically not. So because it's like obviously you the glory days without a-rod and then the one i think he's gonna talk a lot about his parents. I think he's gonna talk a lot about apparently he may he may bring it back to the two thousand and one world series and in that moment like just because i getting drafted and stuff actually. If you guys didn't listen. I did a history episode on how jeeter fell to the yankees at number five not really following but like he felt number six because it was called the jeeter five so i believe five players were taken ahead of derek jeter and just like how that draft process went to go. Check that out. We should probably re release some of the jeeter any. Yeah the jeter jeeter centrica histories. We'll re post the jeeter one on wednesday morning the day of the speech. That was the only jeeter centric one. I think that i did. But yeah i mean he'll he'll definitely thank all of those people. I don't think it gets mentioned either. But it's interesting that does he. He'll i think he'll. He'll talk about his five championships. Maybe in general does he like talk about specifics. From those teams or anything. I'm not sure. I think the championships one or an opportunity to talk about the his teammates. And all those things coming up. But i also think the postseason and the moment and that's where i think potentially there will be some discussion..

"The cubs then on october fifteenth. They absolutely just the cubs and they do it again. On the fifteenth as well winning both of those games by outscoring the chicago cubs fifteen to nine losey or they win that last game by a score of nine to six to win that record and now i mean the i mean the championship series is one of the most infamous series in. Mlb history on one side. You have the marlins the miracle who had just a few months before we're in the cellar of the end of the nfl and on the other side the chicago cubs who were the lovable losers. Who for a very long time. We're just so close to victory. They jumped to a three to one lead including two out of three in miami and they were sure favorites to take the series when it shifted back to chicago but in game five an absolute stellar performance by josh beckett brought the series back to chicago and back to wrigley were the home team always has the advantage and with the cubs needing to win only one game and having studs like mark pryor and kerry wood on the hill in those games most people thought the marlins hopes were over and game six. The cubs enjoyed a comfortable three to nothing. Lead with one out in the thinning when it all fell apart in the marlins went on to win. The game tying the series. This was the steve bartman incident. And now you can't really blame bartman for the cubs loss entirely in the series. But i mean in. There's still a lot of baseball left. But i mean like it's it's definitely infamous in. It's not necessarily yet but we'll end. We're gonna end with the world series right here and i know got really nerdy about this team but it's a really interesting team at nfl. I find it to be very very interesting. So yankee stadium. Obviously it's a massive stadium game one at yankee stadium. Marlins win by a score of three to two in front of fifty five thousand in new york. They would lose though the next game by score of one to six in front of those same fifty five thousand fans to tie the series at one to one and then go home to play in miami now the yankees would win by a score of one to six as well in front of the sixty five thousand fans in miami to to bring the marlins down to one to two in the series but following eight four to three twelve inning victory. the marlins then went on to win the rest of the series outscoring the yankees by eight four scoring sixty games or six runs in game five to bring this to bring the series to and actually to end the series in miami. Send it back to new york. Giving the marlins a three two lead and then on october twenty fifth of two thousand three eight to nothing score the miami marlins won the two thousand three world series. I mean it's it's pretty amazing. The the world series marked one hundred anniversary of the annual event although because it had not been a world series played in what would have been it. Second year of one thousand nine hundred four the cancellation of all postseason play as a result of the strike in one thousand nine hundred ninety four. It was the ninety ninth world series played. Josh beckett went on to win the world series. Mvp this was joe. Buck from Joe buck quote from him during the during the world series. Trying to win it all again. Slow roller right side beckett. Picks it up tax kasahda in the florida. Marlins or world champions the marlins have stunned the yankees shocked new york and this improbable team improbable. Ride the end up on top winning in six games over the yankees. And that's gonna do.

"Hip surgery and kasahda thirty eight year. Old catcher played one hundred eleven games the last time the yankees won the world series. You knew every freaking day who was going to be out there in the starting nine players with off days and load management and all this stuff you just don't anymore and i and i go back to that. Do you remember when paul o'neil on the broadcast. I think it was a week ago. He was saying. I was looking through looking through players games played. And you've got a year got mike. Trout played every team game this year. And you got you got one soto ever team game this year and you got mookie. Betts every team game. The charity went down the list of like. If you wanna call the top fifteen or twenty. He didn't do that many but top ten players and baseball and they'll play almost every day so it's not like it's impossible. It just might be impossible for this yankees roster or number three of Of the first five. I think we've been doing this for a half hour. We're we're really good at talking. Short amount of time number four yankees fundamentals are dog shit they suck suck so badly so badly that it's embarrassing to watch i. We can't talk about this for that much that long. Just get really angry and i. I don't wanna get really angry right now but when you watch them and just watching tyler way today was. Was it embarrassment. The fact that tyler wade kept but just just proves to you how how fundamentals this yankees team it does not matter doesn't as dole put any stock in fundamentals at all zero zero. It's how they're going to lose. Eventually they will lose because october baseball. Frazier head up your ass with a grou- standing on second base there no right. I think there were no out standing on second it was. It was a lead off the reason he got thrown out at third on shorts grounders shorts up because he's still thinking about his double when the balls hit balls in front of him to the shortstop. He's on his face and he just runs to third like he's like he's invisible. Does he think he's invisible. Maybe he thought there was a shift on and there was no shortstop. I don't know yankees have made thirteen outs on the basis. This season thirteen outs in less than a month of baseball. It's unacceptable the monday night thing. Judge running them out of an inning. Clint frazier running them out of an inning. Basically because you have a leadoff double and then you make the i out at third base. It's absolutely unacceptable. And then even you go a little deeper on fundamentals when you have a center fielder supposed to have a a rocket arm. How many times did we hear about one hundred and eight miles per hour for do that was two sixteen. That guy that guy that guy here no more. That guy is no new orleans. Centerfield got his williams. Now yeah he. He looks like chad. Pennington throwing across the middle they. There's no possible way that this guy could but that was not a deep fly ball. There should have been a play at the plate. It was a medium fly ball. Have you're asking for him to nail the runner at home. Just don't have it. Sail up the third base line on a lollipop like not asking him to nail the runner at home. I'm asking him to nail the ads that but in order to do that you have to throw it to the catcher to have any opportunity whether it's late or not in order for you to throw that guy out you you gotta throw it to the person that's waiting for the ball the tag the other guy and that can be done when you throw it into the dugout last one. How long this is gonna take. But it's something i notice. Michael king keeps pitching well on the yankees keeps sending them back to the alternate site. This is now three relief. Appearances eleven total scoreless innings and the moment the game ends every time they send them back to the alternate site. I understood the first one. Because he pitched six innings. He wasn't going to be available again for five days but the last two times out. He's only pitched three and then two innings presumably. He could be available again soon but now he's back in alternate site and he's actually looking pretty good. He's becoming the swiss army knife. I predicted last year. And they keep sending them back to the alternate site. Yeah it's strange how they're using him right now because after he only through two and i'm very much a mop up duty like it was a throw day or something for him and he that's why he's in he gets sent back down. And maybe that's the case. Maybe they're they're trying to keep him stretched out on a weird schedule right now. I don't know and it may align for the triple a start of the season right. That's coming up very says the aaa start. So i don't know maybe they're trying to do something there. But we the one thing that we did know walking into this season or at least that we thought very very Securely and we were confident about this is that they were going to use that number five starting spot and and rotate guys in and out that. That's kind of what they're doing her mind. I know we'll we'll we'll discuss in a bit has looked good as of late but again so as michael. Okay so i don't. I don't know exactly what they're doing. It just seems like they're. They're managing the time with his arm. The economy is made up of real people doing.

Michael king Clint frazier last year paul o'neil thirteen five days nine players michael a week ago one hundred eleven games this year two innings Pennington six innings monday night second today mike third two

That dumb are all in the hall of fame. He's second He's a all and stake twins fan anita at the top seven or in the hall of fame. So if you look at his record in terms of historical perspective. It's pretty darn strong He just happened to ride. You know when he started out in southern california it was it was the all star game every race out here And he more than held his own and was terrific writer on on grass You know obviously a great writer on dirt but is this. The grass writing was was tremendous as well as well rounded rider fearless won. Multiple editions of many made. Many major stakes races An international race in the golden shaheen. So you know if you just if you look at. That's one of the things i like to do. When looking at the accomplishments trainers jockeys is trying to look historical perspective and where they stack up with with their brethren. And i think if you look at we're not kettani stands and those examples. I gave them stakes wins. It's the that's a pretty strong resume had kasahda the other day and of course Nick guy in the slam dunk team and partners. "Girls. I was so peppy. Not that i am not now but i was freshly birthday baby. The world was ahead of me. You know hoping if future hoping future open if you thought it assisted me and baby brave. You can hear him. That was so cute and fun. Cue was sweet. Okay so my goals were really cute. Because one of them i was gonna be rave. That was my word. And i was going to trust people with my children and i was going to send them away for me. Yes and i did burn a whole two months and then they all ask for two months. I had the shop in a school setting situation. I was still home schooling sunflower. So she was still with me. For two months. I had them dispersed and they all came back full force and That was funny but It was good for me to practice trusting people. And i don't know that was still good and we're still doing that now. Roads is in farm school on fridays. Sperm gosh i want to go to farm school. Oh it's cute. I literally found that. Terry brown of farm school like in so many ways very similar and it is absolute favorite. I felt like i did grow in that area trusting people again. Ironically since last year was such a crazy disaster time in our world but walking every day. I felt like not in the way that i thought i would be walking. I got out of the house so Every day into nature especially during covid because well not for the first two months or i guess you would find it hidden spots like for the first two months but it wasn't. I never walked alone. i thought i would. Do you know all of a sudden all the things that i thought i would be doing alone or with less. Children were not the case so goals were not met but in other ways i was better about not being fearful of getting out on my own to get some fresh air so that was good And what else did i have in there. Oh i felt like with cova. Did our family time came into became intentional Last christmas we had christmas. Just the five of us because they had a newborn and they lived in a new home in a different city. Deja-vu i'm in a new home this year in a different city but last year we were just the five of us and it was fine but possibly because it was by choice did not forced you know like it was still mentally. You know where this year. My mom came over my uncle. Tony came over and it was fine but it almost felt like hexagon. How's everybody feeling. Let's be mindful. let's lake you know i don. I don't know it felt. A little bit hectic. It was all about gifts like i said earlier. It just christmas had a different spin and last year i felt so much more rested in peace and like i said bride so going into this year. I feel like a This year by glass. Cheer maybe i was. What's called taylor swift like country singer. Now i feel like taylor swift when she's like now woman now we'll add jere a little bit more mad our phone call swift dead or whatever that was so crazy. I know that that's right. That's how i am guys. Eighties taylor swift. But chris just realized that you wouldn't go on with which we listen to all the time over here when she moba. Nah that all this time that she was saying i am a woman now they just keep that around my house and see me but i put my fist in the air. Right giving girl. I feel like The time that we had drink co. It in the stuff i wanted to listen to while not during listening to the news was all a lot of really great stuff. I've been doing more purposeful bible studies since we're not like physically going to church and couple of my girlfriends and i i've been going through christine studies and i just really loved those doing a lot of reading and listening to reading so and i don't know that's something that is has been a growth for me so it's an unexpected goal that i didn't know i was going to have that. I have kind of clinton into place. Yeah i don't know that's it that's excited and this is a. This is a great addition. Merce oh are we brave enough to set our twenty twenty one goals everybody. Can we do this. We can throw it out there okay. Mic berg episode next january. Let's backwards now mercedes. We're just about to say how i grow. You were talking growing so jealous. What are your goals this year Okay so For last touched on it briefly. But i think. I've always struggled with the tension of being a mom and being okay with Only that tidal instead of trying to grasp for other things as well And finding my impact in my mother had journey especially in these little years and something that has helped me really do that is to keep bettering myself so like reading in lake even challenge your challenging myself last year. Even though i've run conferences. I've never been speaker of a conference i've done mops and stuff but Ostra got to be a part of gen jones online conference and speak and practice a talk with the one on one person which i was so fun. Katie kasahda. heather's good friend which was so fun and I don't know really life giving so I'm trying to do a lot more writing on my own trying to because i'm not very strong writer but i would like to better myself in writing. I can speak well. You know doing all the things that. I hope that i will have time to do as my kids get older..

"We love the same band. Doesn't always feel like it though. That's the beauty of kiss quite a bit of variety. If you look at it. I have two problems with this album. And in no way shape or form is any of them as freely. One dangerous is super annoying. Nine songs is not enough. This is a top three kiss album for me with a vengeance or lick it up this or at least the official touring versions probably my favorite line. Up the album's they could produce. If eagles didn't prevail may have been mind blown a close second to rock and roll over for favorite album. Cover for me eric. Car as the fox still feels new and exciting to me. The same way vinnie's character just haven't had enough footage of them nice. I had the same experience as zoos with bruce album cover. I only heard there was a different one with makeup. Never saw until years later on the loudest band in the world poster. Very confused at bruce was on an album. But it's full of vinnie coal rights to albums after lick it up had to hit up the bookstore and read a rolling stone magazine guide to rock and roll to figure out that it was a rerelease. Probably didn't find out why until three sides episode awhile back. Wow you know. Maybe that a couple of posters you know. Don't you great album great episode. I only have one friend in the real world likes and he only likes a few albums so sometimes enlightening entertaining here in such different opinions in mind though i usually take revenge slander or slight personally though. The album almost feels like a family. Member can't explain it. I just tried to contain it interesting. Daniel i think We love to hear the passion. Even though a lot of your opinion is pretty brutal so then we just there was more comments. Back and forth about the album's okay. That's our that's facebook buddy with so let's go back to twitter properly episode posting there with With some more general comments Buddy do has. Some comments says creatures is not a fun kiss album. That's what makes it good in my opinion. Dark heavy lyrically. It's a change from the put your hand in my pocket stuff. Which i absolutely love all right buddy. Tony from restraint says to me. Let me know when you're ready to get that tattoo when i'm there. Well i told you three more years until the big birthday. Actually two and a half. Now our buddy steve. He loves this album. It ranked number one digi from tennessee. Only one word. I can think of iconic. I agree with tom. Album is overrated. I still love you a good solvent. The unplugged version smokes. I love it loud as killer but this version is better than any live version. They've ever done same with war machine. Jr i prefer the sound production creatures with the same as lick it up another stellar episode as always so much fun to listen to thank you. Jr awesome taught harrigan. Maybe this record is to me. What all the grunge records are for you. And then it takes me back in time to a specific period my youth. This was my lawn. Mowing business music ten dollars for a lawn that creatures sized. I'd put it in my top ten. Keep me coming. Chorus is awful. Joey kasahda.

Well i mean as long as the one you west stuff does bleed in. Because i believe comic book wise. We will way into the wally west. Run at this point. It probably make sense that they would pick from the one he west run in that sense. Yes and i thought that was kind of nice. Just kind of a little easter egg for fans though back then. We weren't calling them easter eggs. I don't think we're re charles. I don't know when. Dvd's came out. We started calling them. Easter eggs okay. So so probably you know like when nine thousand nine hundred ninety s. I was probably vhs. Still okay because i remember getting like the flash pilot on vhs which i have right here yeah So it it wasn't as something right that we remembered. But i like watching it this morning i went. Oh look that was kind of nice little instead of just picking any name. They picked someone from the comics. Which i thought was kind of nice. It was kind of like what they did in the better things. They didn't the dad they will movie. The ben affleck won pretty much. Every single person named check was either an artist or writer on dead. Yeah yeah a little little nuts. You know like referencing frank. Miller or joe kasahda or something like that. yeah. I totally get that message. You know david medicine celli that kind of thing. "Gen rich and Jeff rich in studio here in Phoenix Arizona. Arizona's Matt Scott's all the other side of the glass putting the show together in San Francisco California but all the focus is on Cooperstown New New York Jen and Derek jeter and Larry Walker inducted into the hall of fame under very very different circumstances. You and I were going over this a a little bit earlier You know the bath too hard to understand. There's a disqualification process. There's a qualification process. Doesn't take much to stay on. The ballot relate with a minimum of five percent ad. Someone just made it so if I look at the Fed. Look at the final tally which Which I'll do here in a second? I know that there was somebody like five. And a half percent and then yet curt schilling who just missed at seventy percent for that requisite seventy eighty five. And of course Larry Walker just six votes over the threshold. But he's in but that's not the story Bobby Abreu by point five five five and a half percent and then and then on the outside looking in it's like schilling it's bonds. It's clemens right right there towards the top big improvement for Omar Vizquel You know Cleveland Fans Really WanNa get him into the hall of fame thinking that you know defense should really matter when it comes to the hall of fame vote and I agree with that to an extent I guess I just don't have this emotional attachment to Omar Vizquel L.. I don't think that the game is any different today. I I'm sure that he you know he's got his influences as ruble corbu basically took his took his job in a roundabout way after a while as bill. I know I know you're thinking of like just laying on the keyboard on the A. S. D. F. Keys. No actually I was thinking about South Park Mark in my head. I was hearing took jobs. Kurt Jessica so here's the deal. Yeah you gotta be out of the out of the game. I think you you got played for ten years. You've got to be out of the game for five unless you die down and then you are you really gonNa yell about somebody about cutting corners because they decided decided not to not to be alive anymore right so five years out of the game so for Derrick jeeter he last played in two thousand fourteen. Here we are twenty Twenty nine thousand nine has come and gone so oh Stein to vote for the hall of fame and all but one voter hubba one voter. Imagine being that guy that guy knew exactly that he was being being that guy when he cast it that Novotna. Oh I'm sure I'm sure I put this out on on. The twitter feud earlier if you WanNa follow me on twitter. I'm at Jeff. RICH TALKS AT A. Yeah I said you know I said this March said that. If you're not going to vote for Jeeter you're doing it under the sentiment that he's GonNa get he's going to get even if he doesn't get in on the first ballot he's going to get in and he's very likely going going to get in on the first ballot so you only get ten votes if you think that there are ten hall of fame worthy players on the ballot then by all means but by by all all means leave Derek. jeter off let everybody else get them in. I as far as I'm concerned they don't put the vote. Tally of the plaque doc. You're either in or you're not right so I'm like. Why does it even matter? That guy knew he was being guy he forever is going to have a warm spot in his heart knowing that he is that guy and no one else is gonNA remember. This is the hall of fame Blah Blah Blah and then little stats about him and then they'll move on to whatever they were talking thing about that brought up Derek jeter and there were several. There were several people that voted a couple of hundred. Several people voted that only really put to jitter other ballot. And you know. Throw my arms up in the air to talk about the Yankee bias. And I think that they're genius. Career is very different if if he doesn't get drafted by Achey gotTa born on Third Base. Don't act like you hit triple Very very good player for time. all-star part a five world championship teams. But baseball team. Sports so I. It's a kind of like Indiana Jones. And the raiders lost Ark where dirt jeeter's presence with the Yankees handke's May or may not have influenced it Very far in anti-iraq Shit. I mean th th. There's going around for a while when they had Alex. Rodriguez that Dir jeeter. It wasn't even the best shortstop zone team. I actually can't tell you the difference between most of the big name Yankees in the last like ten fifteen years. They're all just one wad awed of big name Yankee to me. Well there's some there's some homegrown talent they're ill ADIPATAH comes to mind Mariano Rivera Bernie Sanders. was there for a long time. Jorges Kasahda but it's it's basically Rivera jeeter Posada and that's that's the core. which which ones hanging out with Jaylo? Now Alex Rodriguez Hanauer Gelo. Derrick jeeter did for a little bit right while the J.. Lo J.. Lo of Jesus's time Derek. JETER is a few years older than Alex Rodriguez. So Derrick Jeeter was actually ah in that phase of his life when Mariah Carey was the was the big deal Gotcha so Reich area but ESAB Illo Something Kelly Kitty Kelley. Maybe I I don't really you know I don't really TMZ. I don't. I don't do the I pulled up in a mystery layer there. I just was curious. I'm just trying to distinguish between all the big name Yankee. Alex Rodriguez is kind of a mercenary for the for the for the Yankees. See because he started out in Seattle and this is the difference. Alex Rodriguez. You're probably nobody looks at him negatively if he gets drafted by the Yankees. These are the mets or the red sox and stays there is entire career at like David. David Wright is probably more beloved in New York. Even though the mets didn't win squat with David Wright playing aim for them you know he's the third base for log time you know and and David writes probably not a hall of Famer. Mets fans argue it for years and years. See Alex Rodriguez started out Seattle and the Texas through money out of Texas through a ridiculous amount of money at him in two thousand one ten years. Two hundred fifty million dollars. That was that was presented at in like a three year span. Ken Griffey Junior Randy. Johnson Alex Rodriguez all parted ways of the Seattle Mariners. And this is an organization that's never even reached the the world series so As close as they you know they came close to ninety five. Came close again in two thousand one. They won a ton of games But they just Alex Rodriguez is a Texas Ranger for a number of years and then Two Thousand Four. He hit straight traded over to the TRAE over the Yankees Offer Alphonso Surata of all people and the Yankees are The agree to pick up the check back on the contract Latin texts off the hook so basically the Yankees ended up. Getting Alex Rodriguez for free and he was a dominant player And and he would be a hall of Famer. But he's been caught red-handed with the Surroi dhs so he's GonNa fall into this group everybody else that has steroid accusations -tations in May never make it. And I think you're fine with that are you. That's what's been kind of fun about the whole Houston thing is watching players like come out and just state. I would rather face guy on steroids than someone who knows every pitch. That's GonNa come at them. Just pitchers think trick you. These days dead with the Astros beating eighty the system cheating. It'd be Marcus. Stroman might clavier. Trevor Bauer like all these guys earn aren't are coming. Everybody's everybody's chirp it up other than Justin Ostad overlander. And then Larry Walker was the other Guy Larry Walker. You're not helping didn't finish very well on this ballot if I looked at it right and it's like baseball SPA punishing these guys for playing in Colorado. You'll Larry Walker started out in Montreal ended up in Colorado played a little bit for Saint Louis towards the end of his career there but The peak of his career was in.

Alex Rodriguez Yankees Larry Walker Derrick jeeter Alex Rodriguez Hanauer Gelo Derek jeter Derek. jeter mets Jeff rich Seattle New York David Wright Third Base Fed curt schilling twitter Alex Arizona Bobby Abreu Gen rich
