Yeah they were tw. I think they've been right. They've been writing about it For a while. I as i recall for training camp. Yeah well they should write about it all last year. I complain for our elite receivers. We have way too many jobs. Yeah but that's the the narrow. I think that's going to be a narrative so but there's a tennessee. Titans reporter pau karski and he writes for out kick and he tweeted and said that are offensive. Temple is way faster than that. Titans like he said word Fast so i thought that was interesting. "I saw his worst excesses and best intentions by paul karski. Low-tar ski is the author of the director. My years assisting j. edgar hoover published by scripture. Some people have tough bosses back in nineteen sixty. Six mine was one of the most feared men in america. J. edgar hoover had been running the fbi for an unfathomable forty one years on the morning. I was scheduled to report for duty as his assistant. Then only twenty three years old. I was a bit nervous about the assignment and made sure to arrive at the bureau building early so i could do a pre check of the great man's office and the years that followed i would come to see two sides of the director and indeed i would come to see two sides of the fbi. Where i was determined to shy realizing that there are often equally true. But opposed sides. To a story was one impetus for sitting down all these years later and writing a memoir of my time working for hoover. Sure i wanted my grandkids to have a record of what grandpa had experienced but it also seemed important in light of recent events to remind people that law enforcement usually begins with good intentions sadly and periodically a gravitational effect works against balance the hoover. Whose whims i catered to. Every day most admittedly clerical some highly personal and quirky could often seem larger than life to a certain extent hoover had earned the fierce allegiance that bureau agents paid him he was sworn enemy of the bad guy and most of the time his sense of who the bad guy was proved spot on the also could be morally courageous such as when he initially counselled. The roosevelt administration not to intern japanese during world war two but sometimes zeal and hidebound view of the real america as locked in a life and death struggle against a range of subversives prompted him to cast his investigative nets to wide on hoover's desk said a notebook containing all the outstanding wiretaps. The bureau then had running. Occasionally i'd furtively steal a glance at notebooks. cryptically worded notations and just down the hall only yards away. we're locked cabinets containing the voluminous secret files that made everyone official washington weak-kneed as they pondered what might be hiding there. I'm quite sure that the director never thought he was doing anything. Less than god's work but yes. The files clearly overstepped the b. is charged to go after the bad guys containing tidbits of many who earned the bureau's attention simply because their ideology was then thought of as liberal or because these individuals were prominent enough to impede the directors aims one in two thousand five. There was much fanfare because the national archives finally brought into its domain hoover's privately secret files for examination by scholars..

"I don't have the schedule in front of me. But if one of those houston games is in the first eight weeks No Well i don't think he's gonna play for the tax and so it depends Right who trades for him right how much they need him and you know the one thing that haven't heard much talk about sean. Is this You know when it was a contract dispute is willing to sit out and not get paid for we. Yeah you don't know if a guy follows through on that or not and now he's gonna be forced to sit out at least large share the season. I would think he'll get paid. 'cause you get paid on the commissioner's exempt list. So when he was a clean guy quote unquote. He's gonna sit out and not get paid and now he's got all these indiscretions in his case against him and he'll be forced to sit out and he'll get pay. How backwards is that very and odd. And so if he. I think he's to the point now he'd like to get paid and not have the legal part right. It'd be where he wants to be. We're at a time when it seems like athletes can force them lee. And but i'm with you. I think. I've said paul and i'll let you go. I don't i don't think he ever plays another down here. And i think it'll be somewhere else for whatever reason even legally cleared we go back to like you. Said he didn't wanna play here before it started great player but i think he's played his last down in houston texans uniform. Paul great stuff. I look forward to visiting with you again. "We're giving you a glimpse of driverless ideal. What could the future look like for a city filled with autonomous vehicles assuming everything goes manufacturers and supporters of the technology? Hope it will. Americans love their cars. Getting my first car was one of the happiest days of my life and I've loved driving ever since especially fast cars. Yeah that's not actually my car but hey look this is my story and I can dream if I want to. But what if I'm part of the last generation to get excited about driving a call? I've spent the past year travelling the country talking to entrepreneurs engineers and test drivers who are building the cars of tomorrow and when they imagine the future driving. A car isn't parliament. They envision roads full of cars driven by machines where traffic jams are no more where the death rate by car accidents drops to zero the end of car ownership as we know it even to the point of human driving one day becoming illegal. I asked them all the same thing. What will the future look like? And what will it take to get there? What I found was really exciting but also a bit shocking out of this parking lot engaging. Self-driving technically we don't need a driver in the car so you and I are basically in a way just passengers now. Yes we're test. Driving a car powered by autonomous vehicle. Startup drive on the streets of Northern California. It's one of several companies working to utterly transform. How we live this test car could be the prototype of an automobile. That not only takes you out of the driver's seat but creates a future where you might not need to own a car at all. At least that's with people building him think ownership would probably be abandoned. Mostly have Karski seminar phone. The Kaaba come empty to US and pick us up and we get inside in front of office a House and it drives a straight with the restaurant and there's no time wasted parking in a world self driving cars. Utopia the future the only vehicles operating the city are driverless. Electric Commission less vehicles that they can position themselves in a state. Where you are. I- hailing from our smartphone has one there within a minute. We will look back and say wow people own cars to get from this point to that point eliminating car ownership would drastically change the way we shape our cities. The thing I'm most excited about is the ability on the street to reallocate space away from the storage vehicles right now car sit idle ninety four point eight percent of the time. I mean that's staggering. And I think we could literally close thirty forty percent of our streets to automobiles. You don't need cars in a neighborhood streets anymore. You just need them on the perimeter of your neighborhood. All of this parking facilities today get turned into residential space or parks or offices or restaurants and we can kind of give back the city To the people that live in it and take it away from the automobiles right. I think that they the quality of life and the opportunity to kind of re use that space It's going to be pretty magical. Imagine never driving again. The Nation of Muscle Cars Nascar an open road. You're gonNA tell Americans they can't drive eventually. Maybe that maybe a law in place that basically says humans cannot drive on public roads. And there's a human. Dust wanted to drive goto a private car. A ranch back to your heart's content. All right I know what you're thinking. Kerr ranch but it's actually not that crazy remember when we transition from horses to automobiles. We didn't shoot all the horses. Well guess what. These car ranches actually already exist. Think OF CAR COMPANIES. That bill high end sports cars that are meant to be driven by humans not robots. They're already building driving courses around the country and yes Paris Fun as they sound. We opened in. May Two thousand fifteen. You'll come in. You'll meet you register. Mitchell driving coach and driving coach will then take you onto the track. We believe this legislation nation that we've created a long term future portion millions. That driverless technologies around the corner but they still want people to love driving even if they do less of it on public roads..

So doesn't look like he's heading to Dallas yet. Again, these are all rumors still floating around. But it's a wild wild day in the NFL and then moving over to the NBA for just a second. Obviously the situation that happened with Russell Westbrook tonight in the fan altercation. We have to get into this is now what the second time in a month the Russel's got into an altercation with a fan, and like I was talking about with Mark about fifteen minutes ago. You got assign blame on both sides here. Because if the fans said what Russell did which supposedly reportedly allegedly, racial slur. Okay. Then we're going to have to talk about that fan barring him from the building. What have you? But Russell I love Russell Westbrook so much. I do a he is he is no doubt one of my favorite players in the NBA one of my favorite players in all sports. So love he's just as individual. You know, he's an individ-. It doesn't care about image. You just is Russell. That's why I admire the most about him. At Tampere, man. You kind of watch that Denver sometimes it's just it's just hard when he gets into the altercations because it is fifty fifty. So who do you really blame who you really blaming what this one tonight? I'm blaming the fan. And plus we'll get more reports. And exactly what it said Russell did have his say after the game, which I'm sure we'll run sound for that at some point the hour, but what a wild day man, what a wild ass day sports eight away came number. Let's talk more about it right here on the sports leader..

"And how wrong everybody else is the less? You'll learn a lot of people in this country. Get stuck in these bubbles, especially because of social media where if you surround yourself with enough people who share your thoughts, you get this holier than thou complex where you're right. You're totally right and anybody who's wrong is a bad person. So I was pro I'm very pro gun control. I think we need to control all the guns in this country. People don't like saying gun control because it's the right kind of took that over and made it to intense, but I share the principle that if something's out of control, you should control it and guns are out of control. So when I'm with other people who are pro gun control, and we're all talking about gun control. And how great it is. I start to think. Well, if you don't think this you must be a really bad person. And then I met these people, and I said, these people aren't bad people. I don't think they're right. And I think the way they look at this country in the world is does not align with my own views. But these are not people who wanna hurt others. These are people who are. Wrong. And I'm wrong about a lot of things. I spend a lot of my time being wrong. It's one of my favorite hobbies. So if I if I- vilify half, the people in this country, where is that going to bring me, I think there's so much more that we can do if we all look at each other and say, well, where can we agree because that's normally where the most progress is made Cameron Karski. "Listening to the Lutheran hour, and we just heard a message from Dr Michael Ziglar, titled where heaven beats earth and once again, we're learning new things today. We learned a new word drop-goal. That's right. It's a word that I got from the Huffington Post. There was an article on snoozing, their physiological and mental effects of snoozing. I have a problem with snoozing as you've heard, and I I need to need to do better. But it comes from a Mary Karski gone, a PHD professor in psychiatry and human behavior, and and this is an old term to describe this. Lingering sleep inertia was another word for it. You just can't wake up. All right. The message had a lot of important imagery, particularly I liked when we talked about Nicodemus and his nighttime meeting with Jesus I'm wondering would John three six. Fifteen have made it into scripture had Nicodemus not been there and related that conversation to John after the fact. Yeah, you, and I were talking before, and you mentioned that, and it it really I think it's a great idea. A great thought, we don't we don't know. Jesus, of course, could have related to John and post resurrection conversations. But I think that's a great theory. And I've heard someone make a similar move with the book of Jonah like where do we get Jona because Jonah ends with this open ended nece that he is angry with the Lord and the largest asked him a question, and we don't know how it ends. Well, where do we get the book of Jonah apparently Jona had a change your heart? And so maybe that's maybe Nicodemus went and talked to John and said, I heard you write in a book, you gotta put this one in there, and and John protrays Nicodemus in I would say a favorable light everybody who meets Jesus in the gospel of John comes with their own background with their own baggage their own issues, and Jesus will meet them each individually any meets Nicodemus. And as I mentioned in the message John mentions Nicodemus again by name in chapter seven and again by name and chapter twenty so John he he's an author. Who loves to just hint and make you fill in the blanks, and I saw I think that's a great idea later on during the scripture reading you consistently use the phrase, you must be born from above often we hear that said you must be born again. So here you're tying in with your ladder metaphor of God descending born from above. It's coming to us from God. Could also be interpreted as born again. So the Greek word there is normally normally means from above, and I'm reading a commentary on the gospel of John by professor William Weinrich, concordia publishing house commentary. It's it's a scholarly commentary that deals with the original languages, and that's how he translates it. It can also mean born again, it's that's not a bad translation of the word. But I think the emphasis is on. This is the work of God from heaven coming. Down to earth through the Holy Spirit. This is the movement in John so it Jesus's baptism. The Holy Spirit is descending, and we are born from above and John connects our new birth to the baptism of Jesus that we are born in him, and we receive the spirit just as he received the spirit in time as a man both are good. But I think the emphasis is on the action the arrows go down always the arrows, go down in John and the whole biblical message. We are not climbing up the ladder to try to to sneak up on God or find God. He is finding us..
