"When they're little wasn't that bad for them. The older they got there like I hate this. Dr Do we really have to go? She would drive up there and Parker Karner road as some California prisons. You had to get there. Hello early to hold your spot line on a road outside the prison. I heard that people had to show up at like two or three in the morning just to start waiting in this damn long line and sometimes when they got there they would find out simply that visits had been cancelled in. I would be like I hate this place. I'm tired of how they treat me. I'm tired of how they treat us in the visiting room. I'm I'm never coming back. But she did come back again and again and again and despite the circumstances she and Stephen did all they could to build a normal childhood for subpoenas kids. The girls would bring their homework. I'm so he would work on homework with them. When they were a little bit older and they were doing Jujitsu he would get on the mats in the play area with them and do some Jujitsu moves with the girl so like we tried to make it as normal as possible. Considering it was in a prison I just kept waiting for that day. Were like hey. I'm tired of this. I'm tired of the visits. I'm tired of the you know the stuff that goes with all that like having to get up having to kill the weekends off having just put your whole life on hold just to come see me and I never wanted to put their life on hold. affected them to that reality. Made Stephen Really conflicted about the relationship. This all got very real for Stephen was. Tina told him she wanted to get married. And you have some some reservations. Tell us they're not even reservations. They were no. I don't want to do this. I guess it's hard to explain unless you've been to prison like you know what it's like you have to deal with the guards and whatever whatever they're going through you gotta deal with the crazy rules that don't make sense to anybody. I can't put anything on the table. I can't pay any bills. I'm emotional support to a telephone for fifteen minute call and a letter. What kind of husband is up to love? Someone really loved them and then say hey? I want you to come experiences trauma with me. Memento make sense..

When you need to hear something wholesome she's never that it far Noor? Maybe it was pretty good. That's pretty good. I draft all right. Our headline today was sent in by my friend. Friend of the PODCAST friend of my life Claire downs she's also writer she. GMT me a link to this perfect adjust jared article yesterday. Here's the header quote Jennifer Garner loads roads boxes of girl scout cookies into her car and quote. I mean if that's not the most sweet and wholesome celebrity hadline I've ever ever read. I mean it's accompanying this great photo of Jennifer. She's like wearing a sweater. She's putting cookies in a car. Yeah I mean God I love it. Everybody knows that JEN is like number one girl scout cookie mom right like we all know that right like she famously is is amazing at selling girl scout cookies and she does it like year after year she helps out or girls I love it I celebrate Jen as a cookie. Mom thank you and for being such a good cookie. Mom I mean listen. She's a rich celebrities so she like obviously has the money to just buy a ton of cookies which probably makes her daughter's like automatically automatically the highest earning girl scout cookie sellers and it probably drives everyone else in their girl scout troop absolutely insane because like never imagine to how many cookies probably sold but who cares. It's right there Mama's Jennifer Garner so they're allowed to do whatever they want in my book. Just jared wrote quote the forty seven seven year old actress was seen loading. Few boxes of tree foils and Samoa's into her car in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon February Fourth Jennifer shared hug with a long time pal before heading back home and quote. Wow so this article has a twist in it. It's not only about Jennifer Garner loading cookies into her car. It's also about a hug that she shared with a longtime pal. I mean I love this I would kill to be Jennifer. Garner's longtime pal. Can you imagine how good it would be to be Jennifer. Garner's longtime pal. I mean clearly. She doesn't show up empty handed. She probably brought a box of cookies. She took out. She was by the whole box. You know and she was like pick. which ones you want? And then she took the rest back. Oh my God I mean. "So I was excited about that. I thought Karner was gonna win. I just thought he was just to agile would move to good for Koby. And there could be pressure and his his ground control, but he had the whole fight was. I mean, it was awesome because it kind of went back and forth. I two rounds Kaviv and then third round, CONNER looks like Kabaeva not getting the take downs now and then could be back in the four. So as kind of a cease, oh, which, you know as a fan, it creates a lot of emotions during the watching the horse. So I loved it. I enjoyed it. And then after he won, I kind of thought that Connor deserves something. After all the the way he talks trash talk was a little overboard. So it could be kind of pushed him on the kind of sit something this all. Perfect. And then. Octagon. Oh, no. That it's kind of disappointing what he did. Then I think as a fighter myself, being there ring and someone they could be not fighting for sport, he's more of a martial artist. So I think he takes a lot of emotions a little deeper. So already just without any controversy, any rivalry in the ring when you're fighting and you lived through it and you defeat your opponent of hand to hand combat man-to-man against another man. It already creates a lot of emotions week you. Some people are super quite scream out because it motions are hard to control at that moment. But with the rivalry and with, you know, him insulting his religion is father. I think it probably got the best of him. Yeah. Did you hear the the videos of them talking back and forth during the fight? No, I didn't. Nestle. He's telling he's hitting him any ton. I'm talk talk. Now, let's talk. During the fight, but then when they get up against the cage, that's what car and tells them. Yeah, right. And then that was strange. Yeah. And then the other one says something like, I guess, though or something. No, I think he says he tells them again, talk now, let's talk that. Was it though. Right? Or there. There's a new batch of videos and people are finding out, you know, different little things, but I did see that yesterday. That was a good catch by whoever caught that one. You could also see right before he threw the mouthpiece. You talk bad about my dad or something like that. He said, I'm wondering he did. And I'm wondering, had he gotten up and Dan is just stood there as a cornerman who should respectfully you enter the cage. Usually the exchange hand handshakes. So had he just stood there and left it alone. Would Habib of just stared them down and then he, he now he comes down and then we go through the whole proper ceremony at the end. You know, somebody gets their hand raise, maybe an exchange of of hands or hugs and then maybe the interview Connor, and and then the belt, you know or when because if you see, Dan is actually said, come on, let's go. So that may have been that last trigger to keep escalating. You know what it is. Yeah, you know what it's like when you become more primal and it's gonna take a lot of people to stop you. You know what I mean? They've all been there and I'm wondering if that could have made the difference. That's what he did. I definitely did that provoked to, I think, already at a controlled level or could be was having heart them controlling emotion. Yeah, didn't dentist just brought it over to edgy, I think. And this is this is not over like think about Conor McGregor position right now. He insulted all of Brazil and the although fight. All right. So he's got that country hating them. He and filtered all of Russia. He insulted Cavs, religion. Which is the most in our population. These are things that he's going to have to deal with for the rest of his life..

Now crystal Karner civilian venomous. Okay. So then has that kind of, you know, really Blackhawks him the Karner Silvio is more like a red costume, but it's like a even more dangerous. And I think he more powerful symbol. So normal. Osborne takes him in and goes from the green goblin to the red goblin. And you know, he fights spider, man, spider even take on the, you know, the venom Simione himself again to get even more powerful and Osborne still figures out having feet Spiderman literally has them Ray to kill him. And when has been virtually defeated Osborne rid himself of the Karm Simba when Spiderman dare him to fight him as the green goblin and not as the Simione possessed. Red gobble. Spiderman told him that if he did win the red goblin, it was only because the singles power, not because the green goblin did it. Anyone else would have taken the win right than there, but Norman, let his disorder and his ego going back and forth the whole time plume in a weaker position mentally. And once he did that Spiros able to defeat him once he released self, removes symbol. So with green goblins mental issues, constantly playing havoc with his mind. "New York is not just Manhattan is so much more as the outer boroughs, it's, I mean, we cover New Jersey, Connecticut, and in other places too. It's a Tri state area because there's so many people that have jobs here that are commuting in and out. It's it's vital to know what is going on in these places and who these people are. The dealing is always the paper of average New Yorkers the working class, the people in the other boroughs, people who just needed to know what was going on in their city. You know, I couldn't name a lot of big stories, but the small stories are just as important as the big stories the every day. This is what the city council voted on. This is the person who was murdered and what they were all about. You know, this is the arrests that happened these the developments that happened and all of that was just as important and something a lot of people may not realize is you don't get the big stories unless you do the small stories and you know to one example, it was the daily news that brought forward the video of. Derek Karner for instance. And that's something where great off the bat. You don't know how huge of an issue that is. You know, I think the police said, oh, someone passed away and it was cardiac arrest and. You could not go. If if you didn't have the resources and you didn't know that it was a big thing, but because the daily news was always the paper that was there and that always cared about things that happened. You know, of course, the daily news we go and because there were there, that's why they got that video and Moore able to show the world. We're really happened there and you know the next time, something like that happens. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't know that they'll be there. I don't know who will be there. You know it was the daily news that exposed lead night show. It was the daily news that exposed. You You know. know, marijuana, arrests, in the way that they were targeting people. It was the daily news that exposed just a couple of weeks ago Trump getting a tax break. He wasn't supposed to get from the city. And so those are the kinds of stories that people need to know about. And they're all kinds of stories that you only get if you show up for for everything to beat streets and turn around Chelsea, you can marry myself. We broke are gun. Ken got the video, Chelsea got witnesses, but nobody who this guy was. I found the family and that was exclusive. I'll never forget that.

"Has baggage it's rooted in this racist history of suburban opposition tomorrow alex karner is a planning professor at the university of texas at austin he studied marta he says back in the sixties the system was supposed to connect the city to the suburbs the problem was people in the suburbs didn't want it their stories of bumper stickers saying things like share atlanta crime support marta and there are also people on the record at public meetings talking about people getting on buses to commit crime to steal televisions at cetera karner says it wasn't just about fear of crime this was after school integration when white people left atlanta by the thousands the city that marta would tither suburbs too it was now mostly black and so the rejection of marta at the time was a way to cement the separation of the newly white suburbs from the black city of atlanta and suburban voters didn't warm to the idea of joining the city's transit system in the decades that followed despite martyrs efforts like this radio ad from the eighties a traffic jam is to me it sit back with my earphones and listening to my favorite jams on minor on my way to work so could a new name shift mindsets now selena barlow owns a firm called transit marketing she's consulted with systems around the country and she says rebranding can help the things that can do really effectively are increased visibility make it system catch people's attention again in a new way but to make a lasting difference barlow says it has to come with better transit like new rail lines are bus stops in atlanta many people are open to changing the image of public transportation here outside a marta station downtown i meet jennifer girly she's from a suburb east of atlanta and she says she likes the new name lawmakers came up with everybody knows that lanta as the so it's just kind of fitting to me that we will.
