Don't want that game but we still came off. Came off a winner anyway. Now we'll see how we seven goals and again. Now i stayed in every. Nfl pick up because the earlier nfl pick. I had to wind up doing a part one part two for aid. I really like to get my picks all in one single segment. i mean. That's the ad for podcast. So but i always say that because you know some people might want to hear it on one take but then sadly now. That just doesn't happen all the time though. Yeah so hopefully could be in one day over. You won't be into two segment. But you know like i started to say to change without notice and i forgot i was gonna say let's go week segment sally all right here. "And i it seems like he is going to be the guy to start going forward for the carolina. Panthers walkers and mccaffrey has out so feral not much to say about christian mccaffrey here. It sounds like he's going to be multiple games. I don't know if it was a grade one or grade strain which obviously influences how long he's going be out. But if you have a hubbard on your squad if you are thinking about starting him. I'm not three but we were going forward. How comfortable do you feel about that. What kind of faith you have in the rookie out of oklahoma state. Oh yeah he's in my line up. If i had him and i it was on q. Last night that are announcers Buck and aikman Pretty much exhausted everything. They had in regards to hover. You could see that. There was some lack of preparation. I think any fantasy manager could've handled explains listening public. Just who this player was and at one point. They said Then without mccaffrey. Carolina has no running game. And i think that's when hubbard immediately charged out about ten yards. I really liked the way he ran. I you know. No one's going to replace mccaffrey. This kid in this offense is gonna have to step up and deliver and you know. I think we've always had a sense that he would get some chance this year. In some way to to relieve christian mccaffrey. I didn't think it would come this early in this kind of serious injury. Drafter is going to be rewarded. You drafted this guy in case of this situation or you were able to grab this player before the team drafting and that number one position it good for you put him in your lineup and I think we were we. We saw the quarterback to me is still very challenged here karnal. It's going to be dependent on a short passing game and running back to move the sticks. Hubbard fits that bill freeman fill in nicely around and Yeah go ahead and get just player in your life. Yeah i'm with you man I didn't get to hubbard and a ton of spots. Impact the one league. I have mccaffrey. And i did. Not back him up with hubbard. But i do have hubbard in a couple of other Places so we'll see what happens there as far as the flex position goes. It's interesting because we we know that christian. Mccaffrey is out multiple weeks yet. The carolina panthers have not placed him on injured reserve which would knock him out a minimum of three games so pre- potentially if we you know. Connect the dots here. You would think that christian mccaffrey. Maybe only mrs week. Four and week five and his back for week six that remains to be seen with that hamstring strain. And certainly the panthers don't want to rush them back too soon Because he could be missing more time after that as a possibility i think it's.

"Is that important. Because if you're trying to just repent of sins but you're still approaching it via dead works or your own strength. You're going to continue to struggle with the sins. Does that make any sense. Okay look at this of the back. i'm sorry back up to verse one there. It is not like not laying again it. Where's it out. It's not in their laying again. The foundation of repentance from dead works diverse to maybe not in there Our stuff but anyhow the first two if you have a bible we can get have a phone. But it's of repentance from dead works and then a faith upon god if you and i don't do not change our mind and approach god not based on merit. We will not have faith in god. It's that simple our faith in us and we won't even know it okay. So it's repentance from dead. Works faith toward god and then last week we talked about the doctrine of baptisms now the jewish word hebrews chapter nine verse ten. He talks about karnal under the old testament. There were all kinds of washing. The priest had to wash their hands. They had to wash their feet. They all these wash. If you had like leviticus fifteen if you had a discharge and issue you had. They had to wash your clothes. All they're all these washing so mark chapter seven. I mentioned that there were the washing pots. Pans they had added all kinds of stuff to the law. And if you really want to be right and you do this kind of stuff but in our sense in gentile since we're always doing things to try to make ourselves clean with god amen. But here's here's the new testament. The substance christian baptism say christian baptism. That's the substance. We're no aces. What are we leave we leave. "I come hobbling out of the the third phase office and the cedar realistic. I see the chief. Johnny johnson outside smoking a cigarette like any good seal over sudden. He says let's stop. You know what instructor tells you to stop you. Stop over here. So i go over to says where are you going. I said well stena chief from going across the street for an x ray. No you're not. Of course. I'm not seen achieve. He goes what's up. I said well you know. I got a little trouble. He says. I'll tell you. What mr mac. You got a broken leg. He said there's no doubt in my mind. You've got a broken leg. So here's the deal you go back in there. You put your medical record in there. I'm not gonna guarantees but if you will the got it out. We'll see what we can do. Yes he new chief and so went back in there. And actually you know was able to was always behind in the runs but i was able to hop on the obstacle course as still finishing top five in that because that's all technique but we used to run as as usually go jaakko from the compound down to the center center beach and coronado which is probably little over mile and then and then in the water so i would be the last one in the water by light years but i would be the first one out of the water so at least the instructors knew that i'm putting out but the other thing. I think that there were thoroughly entertained. That they didn't want me out of that. But you know You know the folks who are out there Instructors the ones that really they are the gatekeepers for who's gonna wind up going to seal team and they are instructors for just a limited period of time and then they go back to the team and the young men that their training a going to become their teammates so for the most part they're sizing them not only to meet the standards. But also kinda say. Is this somebody that. I wanna be a teammate. With and if i get into trouble and i'm in my left is one of these guys in my left and my right and i think that even if i was having a difficult time there i was most fortunate to have good instructors and and back then I mean everybody was vietnam veteran. Everybody everybody had a silver star And i was blessed to have a medal of honor recipient is one of my instructors. Mike thornton and that helped shape me as well. More ways that one but These guys said known the crucible of combat and they were looking at students and nobody really cared if nobody graduated back then but They were looking at Can we trust this guy in combat. And i think that was the standard and i have to say. In retrospect it wasn't me It was the instructors that really showed me tremendous kindness but just a easy Being able to do the stuff that we needed to do at the end of trading there was a class must have been just before it wasn't it wasn't the class eighty five eighty six where literally no one made it. That's correct whoa. What class do you. That was Don't but i think you're close but the other one was Admiral olson's class Wind up With four people in hell week and the instructor has had to help them carry the ibs because they could for guys could carry ninety s and his truck has made up on. Whenever gonna let me six. It's got to be at least next week. Eric had four guys when he has his graduation picture and one of the one of the students is a a foreign student in his class. So three american foreign guy But it was different different. Jeffrey time back then but the instructors out of the back of their belco the ball cap. We made them quit. So it the standards But they were pretty much on their own as far as though what they wanted to do. But i'll i'll be honest with you. These are instructors that i had tremendous respect for and respect for their combat experience. And they were. They were great instructors because they were intense. And if you didn't have the standard Even if you will make the standard and it was tough to see a classmate go. But in retrospect they were right. This guy would not have fit in to us that yeah and then So graduating and then off to jump school which was always airborne. Yeah that's it you know. What are we cost crammed into three else. Go so you airborne school. I'm sure it was the challenge to keep your sure. There's a lot of challenges that everyone's go for you. i can imagine the runs. Were not as challenging as traffic. "It is commonly said that good girls like bad boys for a number of reasons. That might be true because i used to like them and they were fun to be with as long as it lasted but after a number of senses heartbreaks later in the sudden realization that my clock was ticking with no intention of slowing down i decided to get serious and by serious i meant from graduating from the unserious guys with boyish brains to serious ones. Who actually had an idea what they wanted their lives to look like in the next five years at least and oh boy what a filter that was so. I got invited to a church youth concert by a friend. And since i was fed up with what the world had to offer. I think the world has run out of ideas really. I wanted to taste life on the other side. I used to be active in church. When i was young but i grew out of it as rupp life happened. The concert was great and it made me miss the good old church days and the best part was my attention being stolen by one of the lead singers of the church's choir. Yeah karnal me and an innocent inquiry about him for my friend informed me. He was single and pleasant. Up i suddenly felt like dancing part. Who said all the fine guys could be founding clubs. It was a lie from the pit of hell. With the added incentive. I began frequent the various church meetings and with subtle deliberate actions grew close to find church boy when he started to notice me. With the waves dashing smiles. He sent my way. I knew the foundation had been well laid but there was a problem. He was elected with kind of girl he associated with. She had to be a walking bible. That was a challenge. I was ready to take being a church. Girl wasn't such a big deal. I could definitely dress act and talk the part but alas i wasn't the only girl spying fine church boy in the congregation and this girl was dammed serious. I thought church pearls wouldn't fight over a guy. I was so wrong. I think church girls fought harder even found averse to that effect something about the violent taking it by force. She knew i liked him and she made sure i knew she wanted him to. This was going to be violent. Godly fight so there was an outreach coming up where volunteers were needed to spend time with some kids at the orphanage and of course fine church boy. Being part of the outreach committee was going. I was contemplating going because of some plans. I had but that changed when i saw his church rival raising her hand to be a volunteer. I knew it would be a terrible mistake not to go so before i could think things through my hand shot up in the air and my name was put down. She gave me the typical game on face which i responded in like manner little. Did i know that. The outreach was a testing ground for elimination and miss. Er were the subjects. And since i was new to the whole church life. I didn't really proud of myself for the outreach thing and what was expected of me. One of the leaders spoke to the kids about. God's unconditional love for mankind and. I began to reminisce about my sunday school days. One of the little girls asked the question and imagine the shock when leader directed to me to answer both fine church boy and miss church rivalry there. There is fixed on me waiting for an answer. It was one of those questions which required a supporting bible verse and there was a bad girl. Gone good like me. Who couldn't think of one verse to say stammering me what my throat dried up at once and my body felt like it was on fire. As if that wasn't bad enough missy are had to come to my rescue with one of those perfectly thought sentences. The leader nodded in approval in clapped which everyone joined in. She gave me a triumphant love. But what put me down was the disappointed. Look on fine church boy's face. I knew i had failed the test when the session ended i rushed to him just to redeem myself but he didn't waste time mincing words. I'm sorry but in my journey. With god i need someone who equally walks with him to be with. It's obvious church isn't your thing. I noticed you've been coming regularly but you still have a long way to go. I'd be lying if i said i wasn't attracted to you but considering where i'm headed right now. Attraction is the least factor. I'm interested in so here. I was heartbroken by church. Boy even before anything could begin between us and ms church rival carried the day hanging around with him like a trophy girl. I'd be lying if i was harbouring murderous thoughts against her but i got myself together. I couldn't go back to my old life. There was nothing left for me there so i decided to fall in love with the god of the church after all. He's called lover of our soul right. And i definitely needed some divine loving. I was two broken. And i couldn men myself with the help of my friend and a few others belonging to the fellowship. I developed a relationship with god. And i must say it has been the best decision i ever made. I felt confident about myself and complete. Also for the first time. I felt whole without having to refer myself to being someone's girlfriend to feel complete. That was a great feeling. After some months a rumor broke out about my fine church boy. Putting miss church rival in the family way church members began to shun him and he looked depressed. I reached out to him and offered my friendship. He was surprised. I of all people would be the one to be there for him. So was i. This was a whole new me. And i was surprising myself each and every day then the truth came out that the pregnancy wasn't his after all it belonged to the guitar guy Guys will always be guys right no matter where you met them but church boy still punished himself. We're getting involved with her in the first place and he began to feel unworthy to be part of god's family. I did my best to assure him that all was not lost. I was a perfect example of all hope lost but even i got a second chance with god as they say. Time heals all wounds and so did. His months passed and we got engaged a year later we got married. I liked to church boy. But it was only i fell in love with his god i before i could fall in love with him. Indeed all things worked for the good for those who love him..

"That's even now. A great deal of harm is being done by christian leaders. Who pretend to do god's work because they are actually sharing their own karnal lessons mangled with the word of god we must separate the spiritual word of god from the lessons coming out of the flesh of man and only then can we do god's work properly for the servants of caught the weaknesses are insufficiencies of their flesh are not a problem on the contrary what is far more problematic. For god's servants is when they tried to do. God's work without first separating the spiritual word from karnal words if one tries to do god's work without carefully considering and discerning the words of mankind from the god spoken word then he ultimately ends up bringing spiritual destruction to souls that need not perish not to mention destroying his own soul. We who have become gods workers must preach the word that god is speaking to with a clear understanding. Why because thought is the will of god the water above the firmament and the water below. It are fundamentally different. So god's work has most know the gospel truth of the water and the spirit separate false gospels from the true ospel and preach only the gospel of truth. Now we are able to know exactly what the word of god is saying tools through the gospel word of the water and the spirit guts. Workers must therefore know the mystery of the gospel of the water and the spirit properly. Believe in it. I'm preaching to web everyone by placing their faith in this gospel only them would every sinner com to know the truth of the redemption of god and through this god will be glorified if we know. I'm preached the mystery hidden in the gospel of the water and the spirit countless people will be able to receive everlasting life for. They will be saved everyone who realizes and believes in the water. Above the firmament preached biles that says the gospel truth of the water and the spirit will definitely be delivered from sin and confusion for this to come true..
Are You Happy?
"What makes me happy with. Without the spirit of god i'm going to always be stumbling and fumbling and trying to find happiness and all the wrong places but when i trust god and i follow him and the spirit of the lord dwells within me. His word lives within me. His spirit lives within me vest where the happiness comes from another thing that we have to understand. I'm happy because god orders my steps. He establishes my path. I'm happy because morning morning new mercies. I see all that i have needed. A his hand has provided for me. That's what makes me happy. Great is his faithfulness. The faithfulness of god makes me happy. I'm happy because god's grace is sufficient for my ever need truly happy person is happy because god showers them with favor. A happy person is An example for others to imitate a happy person is one who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly that happy person is led by the spirit of law and walks in the spirit and follows the wheel and the way of god happy. Are you happy a are you living your best life happy. That's that's the key is the when we when we trust in the law. He would lead us and got us indirect us. That's why the psalmist says you can't. You can't stand in the way of the ungodly if a person does ungodly things. How can you trust them with advice for any reason. The ways of the righteous are the path of peace and happiness your footsteps of ordered by the law not by the world standards by the word of god and not by deceptive ungodly schemes and karnal people paul says like this therefore if anyone is in christ jesus he is a new creation. She is a new creation. Goal has passed away and new. Things have come. You see the old person that person before. Christ right has the and the new person now walks in the happen. As in the joy and the peace and the inwood grace that is displayed through the outward walt with god which is demonstrated when you have been transformed by the renewing of your mind and you present your bodies as living sacrifice. A wholly unacceptable unto. God which is your reasonable act of worship if you want to be happy. Don't stand in the way of the center in other words. Be careful with the company you keep because sometimes the company you keep will corrupt you. They will influence you in the wrong way and in negative ways instead of positive ways. Even though i'm a senator saved by grace and not by works made alive by the holy spirit. Revive resuscitated from death. Through the power of the holy spirit through god. Ask still have to make sure that. I'm choosy of who i hang out with. The psalms also talks to us in that same same song and he tells us that we ought to meditate upon the word of gaul. Which will help us stay away from the evil ways of life meditate to think deeply and focus your mind for a period of time in silence. Own the word of god
Tulsi Gabbard Named Democratic Nominee After Discovery Of Obscure Rule That Grants Nomination To Whoever Wins 0.7% Of The Vote In Missouri
"Massive news from the Democratic National Convention today. US. Representative. Tulsi Gabbard has been named the party's presidential nominee. After DNC vice chairman, Peter may burst into a press conference brandishing dusty copy of the democratic. Party's original eighteen twenty eight charter to announce shocking discovery an obscure rule granting the nomination to whomever wins zero point seven percent of the primary vote in the state of Missouri Opr. CHEAP, political correspondent. Dirk mullins was on the scene and joins us now dirk this was quite a one eighty, right leslie truly one of the most unexpected political turnarounds in US history Tolsey Gabbard, the representative from Hawaii who dropped out of the presidential race and nearly six months ago has now gained the nomination mere moments before Joe Biden was due to become the party's official nominee take a listen. Please folks folks. Let me finish. And I quote from the document itself. Sorry. It's a little dusty. It is here to unanimously decreed. That the candidate, whomsoever procures betwixt the margin of six tenths and eight tenths of the vote in The Majesty state of Missouri Beneath the Pale blood moon. In fallow season shall be made our party's nominee for chief executive. It is a dramatic shakeup that caught even the DNC off guard after they discovered the parchment based rule book locked away in a hidden chamber sealed deep below their archives well. It would've been nice to know this back in March. Obviously. We're GONNA need to destroy a lot of Biden twenty twenty merchandise and we had a lot of folks voting during a pandemic for primary that was essentially meaningless. But ultimately, my hands are tied she one zero point seven percent of the Missouri. Vote. What else are we supposed to do while truly unprecedented but what does this mean? For? Democrats in two, thousand, twenty well, it's not good representative or I should say nominee Gabbard has virtually no name recognition and she's pulling in the low single decimal points no one has been able. To get in touch with her either due to her lack of any staff or campaign infrastructure. Frankly, we're not even sure what platform consists of something like ending foreign military bases. I don't really remember now Tulsi Gabbard cheese the senator from Massachusetts. Correct. Now I believe you're thinking of Elizabeth Warren Mistake, it's the one with the crystal the self-help one Marianne Williamson Oh interesting. well, I've got to admit I have no idea who you're talking about then but with that said, she did win the exact sliver of the vote in Missouri that counts in terms of receiving the presidential nomination. That's all that matters right now, what does the Biden campaign saying? This must be a disappointment for them. It certainly is they're searching for a workaround by arguing this decision is superseded by an even. Older precolonial taxed that magnificant democracy him from sixteen, Eighty two. That's the old pamphlet about how to keep Goblins from emerging out of hell and overrunning a functioning democracy. Right? That's right now, those passages suggest only papist like Joe Biden for example, has the power to resist the quote devils. Karnal source laments so far though the Democratic Party has stuck to its guns on this point seven percent of Missouri principle though. Tolsey two, thousand, twenty or bust incredible. It looks that way. We haven't seen this big of a shakeup since John Quincy Adams to the White House due to a loophole in the Electoral College granting the presidency to any candidate born with six toes on his left foot. Really stunning news. Thanks for the report dirk that's Dirk
From Active Duty to the Red Carpet: How Hollywood Helped This Veteran Understand Civilian Life
"Welcome everybody today on mission daily. We have Jennifer Marshall. She is a navy veteran and she's now an actress host in all forms of entertainment. She's going to fill in today about what it was like coming out of the military, and then also getting into Hollywood, we're GONNA also find out a little bit about what she has in store for the future Jennifer welcome to mission daily. Thank you so much for having me this husband a work in progress for months now. Well I'll tell you what booking is always crazy I'm sure your schedule's busy schedule gets rearranged all the time to from people cancelling and demanding reschedules, and then we have paid sponsors. It's not always easy. Yeah, gets a little crazy well. Thanks for doing the show and thanks for Karnal period of time for us. Thank you so much for having me. So where are you today right now? So I'm in Los, Angeles today is a very rare day off. So I'm actually in my robe in my bed with my cat, so it's a good day. So, we always like to talk about what you're doing today a little bit how you got here and then what's going on future? So, what are you working on now at I? Don't know if you can even disclosed, but hopefully you can. Oh, Gosh, so unfortunately I can't as actors. Were you know anyone in front of the camera or behind the camera and entertainment? We most of the time we. We signed nondisclosure agreements, and that's just because you know different studios compete. They don't want people knowing who's on their project so I am working on something. Really Great I'm working on projects today I have the day off and so I've got some downtime, and I'm enjoying the downtime. Because once we ramp up and we start shooting. It's going to be a couple. Months of you know relentless. Twelve to sixteen hour days, onset, six or seven days in a row, so I'm definitely enjoying this downtime for the rest of January okay so I want to dive into. Let's dive into that right away. You're famously known as being a navy vet, so the military is generally regarded as a very difficult. Demanding job in there is I would say a notion or this idea. It's probably false and I think it's false. Bad Actors and actresses have. Have it quite easy yet. You just talked about twelve to sixteen hour days six to seven days a week. Tell me what is harder. Is the military or doing your role today? You know it depends because when I was on deployment in the military. That is very difficult. I would say that most of the sites that I go on I am either co-starring, which is just a few lions or one scene on a show that can be. Pretty easy because you're in your trailer most of the day you're relaxing. You're waiting in year. Prepare for when they need you. If your guest starring a little more crazy because you're in several scenes, or you're in one very long seen, that can be quite difficult with the show that I'm hosting right now. Mysteries Dakota very difficult to shoot because I'm in every scene. It's my show. I'm hosting it and so. So there is no downtime I don't have a trailer. Basically just go in the car if I need to relax for a few minutes, but I'm interviewing all the witnesses I'm interviewing all of the experts and so occasionally my co-host will interview somebody, but it is. It's very taxing. It's twelve sixteen hours on set and There's not a lot of downtime so I would say that that in comparison to deployments both. Both are difficult in their own way. And you know being on deployment was definitely more physically difficult, but when you are in front of a camera, and you're hosting a show you have to be on. You have to be intelligent. You have to know what you're talking about. You have to be quick witted. You have to be able to pivot very quickly, and you have to be adaptable, so I find deployment to. To be physically taxing, but I find hosting the show to be very intellectually demanding and I'm drained by the end of the day for sure now I got a quick question for so you're talking about twelve to sixteen hour days. You're talking about six to seven days a week, but a very small percentage of what you do. All the work that you do actually ends up in the final product is that? Is that disheartening hurt that is that just something you've got become used to know? Thank you so much for bringing that up. Because it's people don't understand like especially with my show, they'll say well. You didn't bring up this theory or that theory or this theory and I always tell them. There are so many theories that we look at, but you know when we shoot hours and hours and hours of footage, you know we only have forty one minutes in the show and they're so much. That does not get shown, so there's so many different theories that we do. But it just doesn't make it into the show so additionally. There was a show that I was in probably two years ago called timeless on NBC and shot on that show for five days. Will it turns out that one of the scenes I was in? They completely cuts, and it was a lot of us that were in the scene, and then another scene that I was in. They cut my lines and it didn't have anything to do. Do with performance on. It just had to do with how the scene was set up and that it wasn't really conducive to kind of go into the trench where we were and get the lines because of the hectic nature of the scene, so I shot for five days, and it doesn't look like shot for five days in the final cut so when you're watching whatever you're watching. If you have an actor host in your life, be kind. Kind. Because sometimes it's difficult. You know you give a few days or a few weeks of your life to something, and sometimes it just doesn't show that in the final cut.
The Grand Tour of George Whitfield
"Seventeen thirty nine what happened here well the grand evangelist himself the Grand Randy Tenor at George Whitfield came to Bruton Parish Church and preached a powerful evangelistic message right here. What's the significance of seventeen thirty nine in the life of George Whitfield well it begins his first American tour it will take him through all of seventeen forty and he will leave in January of seventeen forty he won and he was a sensation. I think in his journal he mentioned that people travel on horseback fourteen mile just to hear this one message to hear this sermon yeah and I know they traveled even further and other places in fact when Whitfield would come to preach most cities would just shut down. They would cancel judicial hearings. Ah Shop would close farmers would come out of the field. They would all come flocking to hear Whitfield pre. No one could compete no-one no-one. What was the title the sermon he gave her the title of sermon is what think he of Christ and is drawn from Matthew twenty two forty two and it's intentionally originally evangelistic because he understood this was a very religious place but without regeneration and without the new birth and so he was intentionally probing the heart and the mind to the chase. Let's cut to the chase. He's got one opportunity what Thinki- of Christ and we are standing standing right here at the church yard of Bruton Parish Church outside and we don't know whether what field was inside or outside likely was probably outside yes so so we are here with him in spirit centuries later and I thought if you could read for us near Great George Whitfield voice a choice paragraph from this sermon yeah to treat S. two yeah this is just one paragraph and it's still early in the message and it shows how just energized he was in the very beginning of this message and so here's Whitfield some and I fear a multitude which no man can easily number are among us who call themselves Christians and yet seldom or never ever seriously think of Jesus Christ it all let me just hit the pause the tax what thinking of Christ what Winfield is saying is the problem is you don't even think about Christ it all and so he goes on to elaborate they think of their shops and their farms their plays they're balls their assemblies and Horse Races Bass for Christ the author and finisher of faith the Lord who has bought poor centers with his precious blood and who is the only thing worthy thinking of alas. He is not in at all and their thoughts or at most in very few of their thoughts but believe me. Oh you earthly sensual well Karnal minded professors however little you may think of Christ now or however industriously you may strive to keep him out of your thought by pursuing suing the lust of the flesh the losted the eyes and the pride of life yet there is a time coming when you will wish you had thought of Christ more and of your pleasure is your less so he is driving at the heart that you must give Christ the place of preeminence. You know it's earlier in the sermon in you. We talked about this earlier. Are this great line from Whitfield. He is unworthy of the name of minister who is unwilling to die for the truth of the Lord Jesus and Whitfield certainly was that he he was he was willing to die and he was often attacked for preaching sermons like this there were death threats on his life and actual real threats upon his life as he even be sleeping in bed and people break into the room and try to stab him to death but Whitfield was willing to die for the message to seal it with his own blood if necessary and a preacher who's not willing to die for his message is rarely powerful as he would live for the message and he did all that for the sake of the Gospel Amen Well. That's Dr Steve Lawson. Listen on George Whitfield on location in Williamsburg Virginia and I'm Steve Nichols and thanks for listening to five minutes in Church history for more ordination or to listen to past episodes. How the heck do you take a photo of a black hole? (The 3:59, Ep. 542)
"The. Welcome to the three fifty nine or under Chiang ring. What does black hole look like thanks to eight Rio telescopes and a lot of scientists we now have a picture. I'll be it's one. That's fifty five million years old. Yeah. So it's about fifty five million light years away, which means that we're just seeing it now, and it kinda looks like sore on or like a golden ring l you know, we saw a couple of means Republic with a little bit of Photoshop. It's been kinda moved altered to look like a a bagel or my personal favorite. Like a glazed doughnut. You know, what my personal favorite is? But we can't talk. If you go on my Twitter feed, you can see it's not talking about that. So this is the the black hole the center of the Messier eighty seven or eighty seven galaxy as you said fifty five million light years away. It's just fascinating look at this thing is it's not what I expect. I wasn't sure. What did you think that it was going to be like pitch black? Be honest. Yes. I saw the tweet go out as I was on the train. It went underground. So I kinda lost reception for a bit and it didn't load. So it's just the black image. Am I being trolled here is this? What really was like, oh, I don't have reception and wanted finally loaders like, oh that is not what I expected at. All. Yeah. What were you expecting? Honestly, like a pitch black like thing. I thought that might have like it'd be like an eclipse with the ring a lane. It's kind of what it does look like those kind of well the fiery bit was surprising to me. So yeah, it's fascinating is. Is these are actually images this basically using radio waves to create an image. They used like a bunch of telescopes from around the planet to kind of piece together different parts of it. So it's as if they had like a several cameras than took small snippets of it. Put it all together in one collage that fits together. Yeah. It's that's cover mazing. It's just blows my mind how they're able to do that. Next up on talk about air pods to versus the power beat pro power beats pro- karnal has nice or Vanessa. Sorry. Nasa has a nice breakdown of which ones you should get a bottom line of you need them right away. Air pods two or one point five is what David calls is probably the ones you should get power beats aren't coming in toll may. But they do offer. They've got the hook clips. I know if you're if you're paranoid about those air pods fine falling out like our friend. Dan of Ganden, boom. Those. Clips are could be very important. And I also enjoy that they're like in ear. There is a big reason why I don't like air pods that much because I don't like headphones that are not in ear like like air pods are now you are a cost conscious of guy. This is these are two hundred fifty dollars almost one hundred dollars more than the air pods. Is this something that you consider what the hook and the inner ear? No. Yeah. Matthew’s top waiver wire adds are headlined by Dak Prescott, Josh Adams and Anthony Miller
"Match against the falcons, and I've got him a fifteen you've got him a ten. This is the ultimate matchup. It really is right now about as good of a match because you could find in the NFL. Yeah. Let's start there. Seven of the past e quarterbacks to face the falcons have finished QB nine or better. Unreal. Seven out of eight have been at least Cuba nine all have been top fifteen this season. Overall, seventy eight percent of quarterbacks facing the falcons have finished top ten that is worse than the NFL by far that rate for the falcons, they have just a livered to goods for opposing quarterbacks. Look at Dak Prescott and a little closer coming off a big game against the eagles, which I won't talk about specifically. But he's been a top eight fantasy quarterback during three of his past four outings is fourteen offensive touchdowns this season only five interceptions. And again, this is a run heavy. Cowboys offense. Yes, they've been for a long time. But it's not as run heavy. As they've been in years past throwing their little bit, more balanced. It's not like Seattle, which is full on running. It's a little more balanced. So that's a good sign. So I do I think he's the streaming option for sure this week. The only reason I have my reservations running back are nothing to counter what you said, Mike because you make very reasonable points there. It's merely this first of all he's got three rushing touchdowns in his last four games. So call point seven five rushing touchdowns per game. If you were to project him for more or less than that, it would be less. It would certainly be less. Yes. Sometimes when you watch Dak he's like the most frustrating player to watch with Rover. Right. Because like he's just not the most natural throwers in the NFL. And that's a very kind way of putting not generous. He's he's not. He's not a particularly good throw over the football. That's what it comes down to. He has been rather officiant recently though, over his past two games. And maybe it's it's a sm-. It's a small samples as what it really is. But if you want to buy into the Amari Cooper is helping him hype train sixty seven point seven percent completion percentage two weeks ago. Seventy two point two percent completion percentage this past week. And although he's been running the football really effectively. Terms of touchdown scored only twenty rushing yards over his past two weeks. So it's not like he's getting a bunch of designed read option attempts that we have seen in previous junctures of his career. You gotta eighteen point eight points verse for projected fantasy outlook this week. Put it. I'm gonna use them in a couple of nugget you. Yeah. I, you know, I'm sitting here talking to myself out of it. But I'm going to talk myself into it by Sunday morning. You're just gonna flip back and Watson that might be worrying that by the end of the week. It's just such a good matchup. And yes Dion Jones is coming back. But that that off which is great for that defense, but doesn't heal all the woes still obviously, no gala Nielsen Robert still no for karnal. Alan still a several other injuries that have decimated that defense so far this season you, and I are having a conversation about the show about like just the idea that like so much of our thought process has to be process over results and don't look backwards forwards but looking backwards at the Atlanta quarterback points allowed is impossible to ignore. I mean week two and on. Here's the number of points scored by opposing quarterbacks against the falcons twenty seven point six forty four point four twenty four point eight twenty one point three thirty point seven twenty point seven sixteen point four twenty two point six take away the best and take the worst. And it's all scores. North of twenty points. Yeah. So it's like, it's hard to mess up. Someone will at some point.
Brent Musburger to replace Greg Papa as Oakland Raiders' radio play-by-play voice
"Do anything with him I think when he's one hundred percent and he knows he is that's when you'll see him on the court that could be. Halfway, through. The season yeah, exactly I think we're I think at best we're looking at maybe the end of December and I. Think warriors team again he's really just gravy to already a historically. Great team dominant team so if they have to wait all the way till after, the all star break. They, will do that now if, you, get boogie, cousins even let's say fifty to seventy five percent of what he was, that is extremely frightening thought. Even Seventy-five percent boogie cousins is fantastic especially in the postseason, I get. You but seventy five percent coming off an. Achilles I think that's a lot to ask for as well so we don't know exactly what kind of player we're going to get with the Marcus. Camby, are. Is the number, so yeah we're going to be talking with karnal attornal coming up in just a couple of minutes. And then at the end of the hour we're gonna talk to. Matt maiocco I do want to at some point get to the Mark Davis statement, he made about letting. Greg, Papa Gautam floors was let, go as well, so the entire broadcast for the raiders games going to be very interesting, next year As a raider fan and talking to raider fans that away Cambier isn't. It Mark, is Mark making it a little bit difficult for you to root for this team as. They have their last little bit here in, the bay area is making it. Difficult to be a raider fan because, I think he is for me. Anyways as much as I do bleed that team and I love the. Raiders since I was a child when they came back in the mid ninety s I mean What do you want me to? Do Mark you're giving away home game so they can go play across the water. In London I mean just the way that you've you've acted in Las Vegas Why why why can't you go get? A guy that's yours why do you have to go get, Brent Musburger a name if you wanted to get rid of Papa which is going to irritate the fan base because irradiates me and Flora's why can't you bring, on a guy and go through tapes of play by play broadcasts then have your guy instead of Musburger who I don't even? Know has has he ever. Even done in a on the radio and I was really. Frustrating it's, we're going to be really frustrated root for this team This year I'm going to of course but I? Just want to know raider fans away can't? Be are is he may get difficult he's not make I, don't think he's making it easy for me to go out and buy my ticket to a raider game it really is not I mean again the way that, he acts when he's in Vegas and the what what he says was in Vegas we've waited so this is so great this? Is this is slap in. The face tussin the East Bay I that's how I feel Roll around you. Stupid, bubble bubble top van Got it drives me crazy let's go to a nightgown Oakland before we get to Connor What a night now you can call me dragon Hey dragon how are you man Wasn't a Nighthawk stepbrothers. Who's, Nighthawk, was Nighthawk and? Jade It's night. Out okay yes, no, your night out yes go ahead I'm night Al hey, but I on the on. The raiders, and the whole Greg Papa in that, deal you know this is just another club by them but anyway The reason, I, called is to tell all athletes that are you know, thinking about dating a porn. Star during, all star week when the dentist week, in sports Think again man you don't think, we would, be talking about this if it was I don't know the middle of the NFL DS No You do it during, the, hey, Jimmy g. when the warriors are in the, finals take her, out Kostanic won't be you know top. Line..
