"This was a written by danny our listener danny wrote wrote in with this and i think this is. This is from the hit movie Do you know what hit movie. This is michael national treasurer starring the star. Nick that's right uh-huh untimely to. Wow here we go exactly. It's all about national landmarks and barging in when no one's been invited you a well. Listen i think you know. I have to say with the the storming of the capitol. I now feel more protective over our national landmarks. Than i ever did before and i feel like that's going to influence like at least where i start off on. Which is like i'm out of this rat race. I don't to be like in this dangerous treasure hunt where i have to put people at risk to steal the declaration of independence. That's just where i'm at today. Is there more to the treasure than just treasure though. Is there like something where it's going to help people. I believe he's like has to do it to save his father's life in the movie Something like that. There's something like that. But but i think that makes it too easy right. Yeah so are we saying it's just a treasure it's like. Hey there's a treasure map on the back of the declaration of independence or is there something else because if that's the case then automatically i'm going well leave. The treasure be believed. There was something in it where it was like. 'cause 'cause here's the thing what's her face the german actress. What's her name how you know. What's her name. Her name is The the one that was in inglorious bastards. Oh diane diane kruger. Because she's all against him stealing the declaration of independence until she learned something and then she's like all help. You was it that the bad guy was really bad. So i like i understand but i don't want to get into all the fine plot points of national treasure but i think that the twist and this one is if you don't steal it. Some nasty man is going to. That's right okay. That's right and that nasty man is justin bartha. I don't know think isn't he. Oh yeah he is on the team. But i'm dying to know where you to at off the bat like first instincts. Are you stealing the declaration of independence. Well my first instinct is no leather treasure. Be but if there's a bad guy that's also going to get it and use it for harm. And i know that i'm like i have some credibility in this right because like nicholas cage is character in the movie is like you know into history and treasures national treasures stuff. Maybe it's a weapon exactly. It's basically like treasures and you have an in of some sort of in where you're going. Okay i have the ability to save this and to save basically american the freedom of america than i would have to do something about it. That's that's really noble though too because the back michael michael i again i think there are so many. Nothing's really clear cut. There are a lot of questions that should be asked and each big one deserves a lot of big questions. And i'm not sure if i can like. Take a picture of the declaration. I'm guessing i can't 'cause i can i just take some pictures of it and then leave it where it is. Not the bad guys are have. He'll steal it. Okay second question. Can i ask. Can i talk to like. Maybe i have a buddy who like somewhere in the you know what i mean when people say like this goes all the way up to the top. Maybe i know someone along that way. Who i can be like. Hey bad guys taken the thing. I might get this lunatic out of my office. Crazy nanto treasure out. Then i then you steal it then you go. You left me no choice. I try and that's an important scene. I think i try to do things we try. Why don't we hear that scene. Okay so do you want to be a treasure hunter. Trying to explain why you need access to the declaration of independence. Try a man and i are the higher ups that are kind of guarding it. Okay so we're like you know. Basically but i knew one of i have some sort of because i hope i was like a. We went to school together at the college of gum. Yeah yeah yeah. Yeah i mean one of us i mean. Let's say let's say me and you have a history of like. We went to college together in a man's character is more like the meat and bones sees more guarding guy. I got it. Hey johnny great to see what are you doing if the what do you do in a declaration hall. Hey man how.

danny michael justin bartha johnny today Nick second question michael national treasurer diane diane kruger first instinct american each big one one german america first instincts college of gum you know

"Listening to on CBS radio at the Lima in for Ken Karman here till two o'clock so last segment last segment to get you guys involved I do want to say a good lock steep pay me church tonight if you don't know that name because you're not a U. S. C. I. but if you are U. F. C. championship bout against Daniel Cormier eight two guys we're gonna go on the history books as to the best guys ever fight in the octagon that's right I will be watching that later tonight also baseball already in a way in the into the to nothing lead over the New York Yankees as were monitoring some of the the great races around major league baseball's yeah baseball's like Hey yeah we're still here Hey guys were still here I think that's the beauty of things like Yankees manager Aaron Boone in his comments about a mercy rule saying yeah maybe we need to look into it after Thursday's nineteen to five loss to the Indians sell the seeing those Laffer's position players command a patch I call it garbage time we've got a debate here cleaver whether this is such a thing as garbage time in baseball and I'm like yeah I don't think hitters are exactly dialed in you know when when when things get out of sorts to that extent and so we had a lot of a lot of calls lot of calls I want to wait one more here George in Kansas city next up at CBS sports radio how are you George a great are you any good great you know I'm kind of a baseball purist but maybe all you're one of those George well what what it would you know but so pure that maybe we just maybe just cut the games back to seven innings and you preserve all the other stop and I know that might impact the record book like in terms of totals but not for percentages or or things like that you just seven innings you know like maybe like we did in little league well I mean obviously I know a baseball purist sane seventeens doesn't exactly sound like you're a baseball purist George but actually I'm trying to preserve all the other elements in there they're trying to change like putting people on a clock but were not doing this or that just maybe shorten the game two innings and then let baseball the baseball all right thank you George and when they do double header double headers in college baseball I think they'll do odd two seven inning games so it's not like it has been done but I mean you're just messing with part of the fabric of baseball look I that's that's all we're talking about every idea that has been given so far during this discussion this hour it is essentially you you are on doing your your on spooling what a sport that for many years people so was a perfect sport baseball was a perfect sport America's pastime and so we're on doing a lot of that a look we know society's changed are the golf golf has had to deal with this big time and you have current golfers like Brooks capta saying outboard golf should not take five hours on a weekend like it shouldn't especially when you're competing and your start have golf course designers coach we maybe do six holes me people are busy they're going to work to check on the phone I mean I'm a sports talk radio show host right like I'm what my decisions don't impact Wall Street but yet I check my phone the entire round of golf I wanted a baseball game I'm checking my phone the entire time clearly society is changing the question invariably is should baseball change with it does it have to adapt your commissioner right now has shown some signs of willingness to do sell I love that there's a pitch clock I wish it was enforced I don't know why we have a pitch clock we're not going to enforce it I do think we have to limit the meetings at the mound I don't know if I'm cool with you know making a three batter minimum for relievers I I and that's where you kind of lose me but I do love that maybe you could speed things up a little bit Tom in Maryland next up on CBS sports radio yes Sir I got a call on the what people are saying is your training me and what you're saying you're dating yeah because I mean first off once you've already identified not one but two things you got a problem with you don't like an uneven score and then you come running you say well you don't like how long was your for long games like extra innings well okay what about rain delays are Missolonghi into so you're out I'm assuming you structure led gatekeepers if you can say that people who want to preserve the game the way it is our gate keepers well then I'd just like to say that I think it's that you're like a rat whose knowing it chewing away why are you called somebody else a gate keeper you're just trying to destroy so they don't really care about you know I just leave it alone structurally so Tom it's a I don't think gatekeeper by the way is a pejorative I think every sport has its gatekeepers there are still people well Tom knows just like there are in being like I'm an MBA Die Hard fan and I get upset when people are like this guy would not be able to go back in time or would be able to go back in time I enjoyed talking about different eras it just seems like baseball more than most they have this unwillingness to ever adapt to anything and you like the sport to stay the same that was a hundred years ago why do sports Jack this is for instance more wiser song well like we have to go to eighteen years we're gonna go to fourteen games which are called season back we got to make the games shorter it's like you know if you don't like the game don't freakin watches but don't pretend like was just this it's like every time the incident well there's an argument against older which only audience to talk about how we're going to war get on board I don't care if you're bored okay I guess hi Tom Hey Hey I will and I thank you for calling me a rat ought not the first time so here here's the issue this is always going to be about what money and business so the sports that don't adapt and baseball's been accused of that all eventually you run the risk of being left behind and I told you the USGA is so concerned about this with the sport of golf and now all of a sudden they have all these new rules in golf like yeah fine take a practice swing in the bunker and and hit some sand that's not the other world okay fine leave the stick in all the sports are starting to adapt now you're right maybe it's not better for you as a viewer but I think baseball's not worried about you because you're going to continue watching no matter what happens they're worried about keeping people like me because we are the new money that they have to make sure to continue to find it because if they don't find that will then their rights agreements go down when the rights agreements goes down it's less money for the pot and so here Aaron Boone this was not a troll this was not somebody calling you a gatekeeper terror bone how many generations of bones have their began playing baseball like five they go back to the eighteen hundreds the Hatfields and McCoys and the bones like they're they if they are saying maybe we need to change baseball I listen to him that's all that's all I'm saying but thank you for the call spirited discussion want to get to this all before we get out of here so we all agree right Michael Jordan the goat greatest of all time he's the best that ever played nobody is allowed to argue otherwise except the GM of the Houston Rockets Daryl Morey hear what he has to say about John asked me who is a better score hammer Michael Jordan and then it's just factual that James harden is a better score than Michael Jordan on the medicine little you give it you get a chance on the ball and before you're giving up the ball how many points you generate which is how you should measure offense James harden is by far number one in NBA history bye for number one in NBA history who's at courtesy go to would tell more they're talking about the rockets need shot podcast the nature all podcast okay very good that was there Maury and look the same we have the numbers the numbers are clear cut we can look at P. R. we can look a usage we can look at plus minus all those basketball analytics and Hey it's it's on a spreadsheet boom James harden their score we watch the games there all we watch the games and I know new age bats well people hate this they love telling you how bad Kobe Bryant is mean like it's some fluke the Kobe Bryant won five titles or it's some fluke that Michael Jordan one six James harden as zero because the numbers they are out there and it says the James harden is someone I agree with you the number say that the numbers don't mean anything Darryl the numbers in this case don't mean anything do we need to talk about possessions per game do we need to talk about the three point line and how the different with pace in space how different the league is changed I mean I am watching James harden play there I'll tell you from my money there is James harden's incredible he's so talented he developed a shot that is unstoppable in a move that I still think they could go and say look this is a travel we could make this a point of emphasis going for they don't want to they like the entertainment of it they want to stop the game for travel every time I never before when Jordan was playing they were talking about a gather and a step after a gather they were talking about that they would just call the travel so he's able to get away with more are the numbers even lebron lebron is gonna go on history as may be second best player to ever play the game some would say top five whatever but everybody has some of the top ten I think lebron's numbers are little inflated never before have we seen an NBA offense where ball goes to you for shooters on the floor and to go to work every possession that's what we're doing for James harden you don't think Michael Jordan could on that they work the triangle do understand the triangle was all about same thing with Kobe Bryant the Lakers Joe the triangle is it was about ball movement it was about getting rid of the ball quickly it wasn't just all isolations sure bailing your team when the shot clock is down yeah those are isel plays and the best players in this game traditionally have been able to be good isel scores but the best offenses over time and the champions it all revolved around ball movement go back to Larry Bird how much an NBA TV right now their show Larry bird's last game with Boston Celtics these teams are moving the ball around the Lakers we all know about them.

Is that the only time i've spent money on born in my entire adult life but like the last like ten years. We've got a black membership just because a girl that we know we fucking bunch of dudes running through and we wanted to watch it and then we never wash it because i do want to watch them <hes> their scenes yeah. That's my category to have something. I only know but i understand the black perspective that like there's something about watching a girl get ran yeah like like obviously the guy being attractive does make a difference but it's like the scenarios watching a black scene and it was like they're having some party hardy really fun and then it turned into a giant hot concept but against the jason he told me was no goalless. "Like my instagram was like i was not shy. I was doing drugs and stuff and everything was like naked and that's what she said. She's like you're the first adult performer ever met. Of course i'm going to have these preconceived notions. It's about who you are and what about my parents know something but i don't think they're just trying to think about it with your family before i ever met your sister or your mom or whatever one of your sister's friend said like she can only dress appropriately kids like ostrich sister that adam like caught. Imagine did not address appropriate appropriately around children how weird that would be a nanny. I honestly was scared about wearing the supermom when at dinner with her after this and apparently my boobs coming out your hair's got to stay right here might go buy a card or something control yourself. I literally talk to my sister a photo of the to make sure it was good for your mom. It's cute like florally just thinking about one time i'll roscoe's has chicken and waffles with my mom and that there was like four hundred pound black woman in the my mom was just kept looking back in there and just go on like that woman's boobs who society so interested in this woman having gigantic boobs to her about my boobs as she couldn't stop giggling. I'm looking for some like we thought a little thought janas walking around four oh my god. She has braces her mother. That's a thing though some girls have fake braces dudes like it so much. That's just spend about this super weird to me because you're looking at them and they look like they're like twenty eighty five like they're dressed up like girls but you can tell they're not and then they have faked braces. It's very confusing pacifies during their camp show. It's it's a race to the bottom. I can never do that anymore. Having a kid like even like stepmom stuff like i could never if i was doing. I can never do a scene where i'm like a step mom to like a girl or something now just because it would just make me think of my daughter the dynamics yeah. It's like there's a africa which company is but they do like the whole scenario is like in the psych ward sort of thing and they're like fucking the patient and i'm like ooh damn psych major. I really just can't appreciate have a little weird because making me feel bad about all that world war two point as to talk over to. I don't know maybe yeah i hope not dude. "That's the biggest song with kids because my friend had is a four year old daughter in here the the day she said play the horse back okay yeah but that's like my struggle right. Now is like doing this like which was never ever a problem before to like. Go travel and feature but it's like with the baby and it's and it's weird because like i'm so attached to her miss her right now and i just like maybe like two hours ago so so like going out of town for overnight. It's like so hard for me because i just love her. I'm trying to be the best mom i can but like with my line of work like i'm constantly always thinking. Oh my god. She's gonna hate me one day. I couldn't be with her for four days. I'm like i'm not being without her so him and then the data. She's not going to remember she so she's still young enough but yeah she didn't come into the convention but she was just in the same hotel room and assigning nine walk into the hard rock with like a two year old very clearly zero and like all these performance at like knew her and knew me. We're like comedy conduct. What's up give her hi-fi follow my ballers but so i don't write anything about my daughter on my carmen stuff just because people are immediately like alternate social media so i post literally my daughter's my whole life and that's all i posted my amber stuff like the i don't really it'll work things private just because my daughter i don't want them to be like nasty but anytime i do like if i mentioned someone like some uh-huh perform tiana trump was like i want to have daughter one day and i really re tweeted and i said i was like the best thing in my life like having a daughter and then the fucking roasting thing me roasting me and they're like well your daughter don't love you. You're not gonna want issue porn star one day yeah so i just like deleted. It and i don't mention anything about it it just because i just don't even want want her on my platform. Either details trump's ready because like a a couple of years so i was trying to find a different instagram and like one of the mom trying to one but then we're we're looking at brittania and brittania puts kids on those yeah like i say it can be done is it's not that not impossible but it is still weird entirely post pictures of her baby on her carly thing like i feel like i almost feel like with a boy away. It's almost different i. I don't want them to sexualize girl. You're setting you know what i mean like. I don't want any pictures of her. Yeah i don't i don't know i mean i think it's it's like if you feel that you can handle it then. You should do it in the sense that if you can't handle having your appearance made fun of the dump post pictures on the internet if you can't handle your kid people talking shit making terrible joshimath then don't push your kid you know that's basically what it comes down to because you know the worst possible shit people could say is gonna get said right at the same time though i don't know we don't know how these gonna feel like dope like awesome super. Don't be the cool. Thanks for postman. That mom was lucky. Postman didn't do reddish when i was pregnant. I was like i made so much cash off that but you know i don't want her to the yeah. I just want her to be able to like google and like be like oh my god you're doing this when i was in your belly so that is a weird thing like people who have youtube channels finals..

"He just got the firing. The dance troupe crew crew like behind cardi b. She's wrapping. That'd be sick. We need one more though now no. You just need to be rocking some cam up to monitor. What did you look at the more with your close. I remembered my questions as we're going so. I don't have that many on here but okay all of their questions that you came up with because you're pouring over over the book you read it on a day. Did you self publicist. No <hes> so it's really funny so i was like applying to all these agencies because i i had no idea how to publish a book but i googled it and it was like you find an agent and then your agent will bring your book outside of contacting a bunch of people and in the back of one of my favorite books <hes> she she thinks who's now my publisher but i thought it was an agency so i went and had a meeting they they liked my book and they had a meeting and i went there thinking. They wanted to be my agent but they're like no we. I want to publish your book and i realized i'm fucking publishers like oh my god so i skipped the step of having an agent met with the publisher and they just really believed in my book and they liked liked it. They said it went with like like 'cause. The first book i read was another porn memoir that i found them through but i thought she was thinking agent but she was thinking publisher so oh yeah they published it and it when i was writing it i had no idea video published like i kind of thought like this is probably something maybe i'll give my daughter like when she's like twenty to read and like so she goes my whole life story cool to have it regardless of you and i i wrote it like when i was pregnant and i wasn't working or anything so it was kind of like i had nothing else to do and i wrote it hoping but i wouldn't like it still surreal to me that like my book is going to be in barnes and noble when you walk in yeah but i had him he was deployed and i was like i think i want you to write in my book to select the very last chapter is a alex wrote and it's just like addressing like how how can i be marrying a porn starling. How how can you do that and i remember reading it. Perfect forget sometimes. How big are you going on this. Are you gonna do like dates promoting it or what's the plan. Yeah i know august thirteenth. I'm i'm doing like the first official book tour or the first book book signing in l._a. But then i'm booking feature dancing around the country entry so i can do like a double of like book signings at a bookstore before my feature dancing so yeah i wanna do like little book tour so we barnes and noble will let you like do a book so i think it was a porn star that they don't have anything yeah but they're like my publisher knows a bunch of like bookstores in little cities and stuff but <hes> <hes> yeah. It seems like everything. I couldn't believe like it's on target's website so it's gonna be in some target stores and i'm like what the fuck like. I figured if i ever got published. It'd be like me putting an e book on amazon small thought like this whole thing is just crazy doing so official like no one would take me seriously because i really really enjoyed it. I i don't. I don't think it's because i just because i know you like. I was trying to figure that out but i'm like i. We both read that jenna jameson book too you know and it's it's like i was just as interested in yours sounds like super good and actually just <hes> trim other question..

"That's all thing because i was trying to be a good girl so bad and i was trying like already lived the whole life blah blah blah but it just looked like she was gonna explode. It was betty homemaker. Betty homemaker wants to murder so 'cause you got rid of your high of doing drugs but then you also got rid of the high of just the sex life you you cut off all of the parts of your identity but or things that were part of your identity for so long right yeah but i mean i struggled of like i wanted to come back back but it was more so like well. What are people gonna think them a mom and like what will my baby think one day and then i was kind of like well but the only thing i care about is her getting teased one day but ah the way we talked about is already going to teaser because they're going to say she was a porn star time. She's old enough to realize what that is. I won't be doing anymore so it's still going to be in the past but whether i keep doing it or i did it then like they're still going to say you're with karma yeah. I really don't think in twenty thirty eight that your mom having been a porn star is gonna be that big of a deal. Because how many girls will you know now have private snaps or at least that pose news so they post photos with their asset management. That's going. It'd be like eighteen years when your daughters and legal in an adult and stuff yeah. That's what i'm hoping is that everything's more normalized in the stigmas not all there but that's that's the only one thing i really worry about. Is her getting teased like i know we're going to raise her to be not ashamed of it like we want to be like sex. Not obviously we don't go be a thought but like i want her to build to be open open with me and i'm going to be like super transparent to her and tell her my past and everything. I'm not going to hide it in any way. I'm gonna be the one to tell her what i did but now i'm thinking about the fact that her her high school classmates are watching this in the future over. Let me tell you twenty nineteen pretty good year in nineteen. What if she wakes up one day and she's like mom. I wanna be a stripper. What are you going to say. I would be supported because like i obviously wouldn't want her hard to do that. Because i know all the bad stuff that comes along with it but i definitely wouldn't make her feel ashamed like my family made me feel like i felt like i still can't talk to my dad about what i do for a living judgment there so i think i would just love her and give her like that. Trust like she can tell me so that we can at least try to keep her safe. I was thinking about like 'cause you're. You're proud of it and you're positive and i'm not ashamed of what i do either but it's kind of a weird thing. When i think about like what uh-huh my daughter wanted to do it. We concerned about our safety but it's so hypocritical to be like oh can't you can't do this but i did. It wisely yeah yeah. That's why i'm like saving so much money for her college because i'm hoping like i'm going to be giving her like here. You go you can go straight to college went to call. Oh yeah i graduated. "Say. Janice Karman and Ross specs Syrian are duo behind Alvin and the chipmunks, by the way, the chipmunks were actually named after executives of the original record label, Alvin Bennett, Simon Ronca and Feodor. Keep the chief executives of liberty records in nineteen fifty eight. Two people ever call you. You know, what sometimes, but sometimes they do or they'll say, you know, you sound so much like that David Seville character did and he ever tell you that then. And then you gotta do right. And hopefully, I'm not going to burn the Mike up here doing this. Oh. And please do stick around. Because in just a moment. We're going to hear from you about the things your building. But first a quick thanks to one of our sponsors Capital One saver card. Earn four percent cashback on dining entertainment two percent at grocery stores. One percent on all other purchases. Now when you go out cash in what's in your wallet? Hey, thanks for sticking around. Because it's time now for how you built that. And today were updating story. We I ran last year it begins with Alex van dark of Chico, California. And here's his question. Yes. So it's have you ever mixed concrete before I personally have not next concrete before, but Alex has mixed eight ton of it, especially when he was a teenager helping out with small jobs as dad's construction company to what you do you grab a bag of concrete? You put it in the wheel you break it open. You throw water in their news a shovel to mix it around. And then you, you know, we'll that wheel wherever you need a new port. And when you do this over and over it can get to be a real pain. It takes too long. It's messy and then pouring. It is just too challenging to do my dad, and I would say, okay, we need a better way to mix the stuff and so one day kind of on the fly, really. Alex in his dad, ditch the wheelbarrow and they decided to use a lightweight tarp. Instead, they poured the cement and the water onto the tarp. And then held up between them and instead of using a shovel or any other tool. I would just use these four corners kind of pick one side of at a time and effectively fold the pile of concrete and water over itself, and it would mix very quickly. And then you could just sort of pick up the tarp from one side, and pour it into where you needed it. Okay. So it's a pretty basic hack, and Alex really didn't think much of it. But a few years later when he was taking business classes at college. He said to his dad, you know, maybe we can make a thicker tarp to make cement and then sell it. But for us, it was like this really difficult leave, and you know, how do we create something that does what we wanted to do without knowing how to create it. We didn't really we're not experts in the textile industry. We knew how to mix concrete. That's that's it. So in order to market a mixing Matt that people would actually wanna buy Alex to invent a tarp. That would form kind of a vol- when you held it. So the cement wouldn't spill out. And then the tarp had to be tough and waterproof, even after he and his dad found just the right material is called a polyester near bland. And it's coated with PVC even after they found that they still had to find a way to make the actual, Matt. I was calling people in China and Mexico trying to just see like, okay who could make this. And I thought it would be easy and that took years to do, but they finally got the Matt manufactured a few years ago. But when they pitched it to their dream retailer, Home Depot. Home Depot said no. The funny thing is I spent probably a year learning the same lesson over and over which is you're not gonna get into Home Depot. If you're a nobody should this is where a brand. And new business has to pivot, and that's exactly what Alex did he figured maybe he could get churches and charities to buy the makes mats, and then donate them to places that's really needed them, a huge amount of people that are impoverished in rural areas of the world that have absolutely nothing. They live on dirt floors and Alex's several donors of already bought the mats to help rebuild after natural disasters places like Haiti in Mexico. You know, it started off as low tech product. We just wanted to sell to make some money, and it has transformed into an opportunity to help people. That's Alex van dark co owner of up LLC which makes the mix, and he says the company's revenue has multiplied ten times since we spoke with them last year. They've also partnered with a nonprofit called bright light and starting in April. They'll be using the mix Matt to build homes and schools in developing countries.
