Budget, wasn't a it wasn't a value, but it was fine. It wasn't a overpay or anything. But unless you have a little extra budget, he's the best player on the board I. Think you have to be willing to go up a couple of months well, why don't we ask this? And is like my new favorite. Why have? Vitamin. Benson Benson best. Lead the NFL touchdown Dad's is last year. HAVE HAPPY YEAR WE'RE BACK OIL MAC yeah. He produced with the blowhards under center come on. He was twenty fifth in targets and he led the NFL in receiving touchdowns. Robert Woods now at ten bucks to Marcus hopefully, he's healthy not would golladay yet bobby truthfully there's no big deal with this covert lists that he's on. Hopefully he's. Just chilling. Marcus going twelve dollars on Robert Woods we're sort of running out of tear wide receiver. I'd say Adam we have an opt-out. Oh who. cardinals tackle Marcus Gilbert. Signed with them. Adam Schefter just reported that he's opting out. What's an easy way to get? One hundred and fifty thousand three, hundred fifty thousand bucks signed with an NFL team and then opt out I'll it's not free. It's just an advance. Yeah. Right coming. No No, no. That's what I've been led to believe. I it's going to be hard for them very hard for them to recoup the money. Be a little petty I think as well. But Carlo side for a dollar Scott Angle getting the backup to Chris Carson Marcus, I want to ask you about Robert Woods twelve dollars you seemed intent on getting him. Yeah I mean I really love Robert. Wood this year I wasn't all. I wasn't that thrilled because he went. He's a dollar more than, Cooper Cup. Did I think it was? So that didn't excite me but I love the fact that. He really was the glue in that offense last year I think at some point and the fact that. The kind of Houston as a runner to. Sneaky. Hidden yards in there with Robert Woods in terms of like whether US among those jets sweeps in those sorts of things. So I feel like he's underrated a little bit this year. Did you also feel like you know in terms of tears that we didn't have that many wide receivers of? With a lead up side and you had to get him. Yeah. I felt the that to about as I'm looking through these wide receiver, they're still some really good values out there. And I I think we all kind of saw that comey right with this format with the way wide receiver is. Some people really good wide receivers for not a whole lot of cash. I thought Scott Angle with the six dollar bid on camakers getting hit camakers for six. That's pretty you must really like him. I. Do you know yet about might flex? In Utah Marcus about the rookies before. Thursday. Or Rookie, Camp No preseason gangs. That holds them back a little bit to me camakers. Clear Path be starting maybe two three weeks tops. This team. "It. Artemis knows they've been caught me really a no star. Let me get the data off. A sudden area knows you're serious. I know that you inherit everything. Okay? I got about you're listening to the Harrison Experience Live on CBS sports, right? You know what? It's certainly an honor to be here with you on this beautiful Saturday. Hopefully you were staying happy. Hopefully you are staying healthy out here in these Corona times. So this is the debate that we're having right now on this show, and I'm glad you could be a part of it. Charles Barkley was on inside the embassy, which is a phenomenal show. And he was making his top 10 list. He didn't have shack on his list left him off. Now I think it was some ribbon going back and forth between two. You know how they like to get down. But it got me thinking. Who are the players that must be included in your top 10. Where if you're having a basketball conversation with somebody at the bar, the barbershop or whatnot. Have you asked them? Give me your top 10. And they don't have that player listening. Your top 10 You're walking away from the conversation. That's not somebody You want to be in a conversation with I gave my five And I'm talking about their games, not their resume because the resume would suggest that Bill Russell should be in this conversation. I don't think that Bill Russell is one of the 10 greatest players. The guys I put on the list. I think her dominant in any air of NBA basketball. Today, the nineties. What a be A. If you drop these five individuals off in any timeframe, they are getting buckets and they are as great or greater than they were during their era. I think it's these five. Duncan Bron Magic, Kareem Jordan. In some weird way we have underappreciated Tim Duncan's career. As probably the second best big man in the history of the league. Played still during an error with great big eyes. Maybe the deepest, the power forward position has ever been in the MBA. You still had great skill, Big guys where they weren't completely phased out. By the time he was done, they were starting to get phased out. We don't give Duncan nearly enough credit like Duncan was the best player from his generation. I know people look at it and think, Kobe I ain't Duncan was a was a better, more consistent player than Kobe was during their time. That's the five. I think it's Duncan LeBron Magic. Kareem Jordan. That's my five. I'm curious what you guys think. 855 to 124227 Who are the players that undeniably have to be in your top five of the greatest? Basketball players of all time. Let's head back to the phone line. Jay is in Ohio Go ahead. J. Hey, was that they take a monk called Show. No problem. Are you know you got my five Indian together coming too? Okay. All right now the tough five Number one is me came part Cleveland, I counter that with number two was Larry Bird. You know, saying Cause M j number three because Larry Bird so good. He had tell you where he going? Doing? What? Still swish it all you know, after backboard, No spin around a room, Just like a Swiss, you know? So Jordan three. Oh, ducking this for Ah, put Rob me, Doc and cool, but I'll put Robin in there. Four and number five is Uh, I guess LeBron and there is no step curry. It takes more than just, you know, shaking bacon death and how finger rose off the backboard and three corners to be on the list, and I don't care. Okay, Jay, I appreciate you. Hopefully you're enjoying your evening. Matthew. I'm blaming you for that. Sorry. David, you're trying to sabotage me. My man put himself in Rodman in the top five. You're lucky. L have the veto power back here. I would have vetoed it from the beginning. You did this to me? He didn't give his fullest given on the call. He didn't give the fullest so I gotta wash that bad taste out of my mouth. Let's go back to the phone lines. Mike is in California. Go ahead, Mike. I have going. Hey, Mike heard about five minutes ago or so on the radio. I had to pull over, okay? So I'm gonna give you my two top five. Tell me where you discreet, okay? My first top five. I've got to go. Magic, Michael. Karim. Malone and Kevin Garnett. What made me really pull over. What? I heard Somebody say that Steve Nash. It's better than somebody at war. What about Jason Kidd? So here's my second best five. Kid, Kobe Jack. Duncan in LeBron. So, no, I'm listening to you, Mike. Why's LeBron so low on your list? Because because to me, it sounded like maybe they weren't in order. It sounded like you had Brown like 1200 They're not. I was in between, Okay? Brought on my first team. I want it between Garnet and LeBron. Well, let me just make two good teams. And those are two pretty good teams up. No, They're certainly good teams, and I appreciate the phone call here. I'm starting to think that I'm living in a bubble here. LeBron is and on denial. Top three player all time. Undeniable. At this point. Your top three. If you were making an MBA list must consist of these three players, and then you can decide the order. I'm not one of those people that think That we made some MBA to create that Jordan has to be one. If you think LeBron is better than Jordan have at it. But these three people have to be in your top three. Michael Jordan, LeBron James. Luaus ender. If your top three does not include those three individuals, your top three is invalid. I'm not saying another good prayers and leak. There certainly are. I'm telling you, those of the three that Matthew now that we're open the phone lines. It's like people don't value LeBron's game the same way that I do or they're just haters. It could be a combination of the two but LeBron is an undeniable top three player to me in the history of the league. I don't see the eye don't see the opposing viewpoint with LeBron. I don't see what am I seeing that other people are seeing with LeBron's game. Undeniable Top three player between those now four and five. We can have some good conversations. But the top three players in MBA history or said And now some guy's had to move down to make space for LeBron. But if you're making a Mount Rushmore that we're now heading into the next upcoming season will be the 75th year of MBA basketball. LeBron would certainly be on the Mount Rushmore. For the sport. Let's go back to the phone lines. Jeff is in South Carolina. Go ahead, Jeff. Hey, man. Hey, Jeff. So somebody said a second ago. First of all I agree with you take about Tim Duncan. Kobe, I would have Duncan ahead of Kobe myself. And the rest of your top five. I'm kind of an agreement with the only problem I have with it is Couldn't AH, leaving bird out. Because you made a comment a minute ago about About.

"Right in the jaw. And you know when when you see like a prize fighter. Hit A guy right in the back of his hair stands straight out in a sweat just comes on. That's what it looked like. I I remember on the bench. Say Oh my God and John just dropped to the floor like like a rock and I said so we go down to the other end John gets up now. He's on offense and John Turns around. And does the same thing that Kareem in Pauley pavilion. And I said John Thinks that has to be the baddest guy. In Town Riemann so anywhere. Kareem stories like recall quickly. Obviously you're still a huge basketball fan. Still Watch a ton of games and there's the ongoing debate about who's the greatest now. Clearly Koreans is the greatest of all time but of the three guys in conversations Jordan. Lebron how do you rank him amongst the three how do I how do I rank Kareem Jordan and Lebron? Oh Boy I put cream number one and reason I say that is because I think you could build a team around him faster and stronger than around the other two I would. I would way and I was in Chicago when Jordan was there and I went to several bowl games And he was absolutely phenomenal. So I think I would go Kareem Jordan Lebron. That's about I mean that's probably most people with some common sense probably would say that right thank you. That's why I had to get you. That's why I had to get you on bomb because I knew you would talk some sense into these knuckleheads out there. Thinking that Kareem doesn't exist because he played in an air without social media. I think yeah it was a it was a totally different time. Plus the fact that people don't factor in that when he was in college I only played three years. But guys up.

"Most of the cards your listeners than I grew up with aren't worth anything because it was during the junk wax zero where they made a million of these now they make limited numbers of them and the vintage excreted stuff is going great but there's three reasons forty five year olds are now having said now have seven year olds so the reliving their childhood gambling. You can buy a two hundred dollar pack of cards right now. That's how much they can be now. Jim Two hundred for one pack. But you can pull one hundred fifty thousand dollar Luca Zion so gambling and then finally you know sports cards have a lot more volume than sneakers so we have an entire generation of teenagers who are now in twenties. That grew up slipping easies and Jordan's who now if they think that Lamar Jackson is going to be the guy they go out and buy five hundred a two thousand. Four thousand Lamar Rookies and make one hundred thousand dollars in nine months while I was gonNA say so. What's the place at a buy and hold or is it a flip? The most is guaranteed way not to lose anything. If you've got money and you don't need to liquidate it. It's pure investment. Real estate and stocks is old basketball cards. Dr J. Kareem Jordan Award in Barclay Larry Bird Magic rookies because basketball for the next twenty years is going to continue to grow in popularity and I think basketball cards are on your priced on the flip side. The biggest gamble return on investment. Is Buying baseball rookies. Because they make them for years early and you can literally buy Wander Franko now even though he's three years away away from the League. I mean if you bought Pena Lonzo at this time last year I mean they went up one hundred x you could have like. I mean it's scary. How little you could have put in and what you return? I'm to be or you know for example for transparency. I bought five hundred gram rookie cards. The Point Guard in Charlotte his game. I think in the next four years but but I know that you have like the best sports audience and I'm just trying to think about like if somebody wants to do a side hustle and if you're listening to the burning and you're sitting there right now and you're like you're thinking think about the. I know a lot of people now want invest in startups. They Wanna find their facebook newburgh. But that's ninety nine percent likely gonNA fail or they loved to gamble and their analytical and they're good daily fantasy and and sports betting but that's high risk return either win or lose it's binary. Meanwhile there's a ton of people who are listening right now who know that David Joko go was hurt this year but he's a free tight end and he may come back next year or they love some. You know the the prospect on the on the Orioles right now. I can't remember the hitting kid like or they think that like I do that. Sam Darnold way better than he actually has shown because he's had real difficulties with offensive line line and Joe. Douglas has proven Philly that he's going to build an offensive line. And what does that mean to him or that you thought Baker had an off season. I don't but you might or you know so. There's a ton to do on speculation with limited downside and high upside and so that's how I see it podcast. What's good? I WANNA make sure you're signed up.

"From Houston where he is attending. Tonight's rockets nine. Forget who. They're playing tonight. Nuggets Rockets racquets nuggets. I'm league passing cells. Chris tells US tonight but I don't know if you're aware but the only game happening tonight is in New Orleans it's We're recording this on Wednesday afternoon Jackie yesterday you. We're in New York City though because you attended the David Stern memorial which took place at Radio City Music Hall A lot of speakers what what did you take away from that experience. Well it's interesting so you heard about all the big names you know bill. Russell Zehr Oscar Kareem Jordan magic cookie to Kim Bay. Bill Walton. was there Jason Kidd but what I thought was really cool and those guys by the way all those you know eighteen players all stars hall of famers. If you will there was one one area that was roped off so they. They were sat in the front with a lot of the team. Owners and Jeanie Buss. was there Billie Jean King gives you an idea of the breadth of of You know the way. David Stern touched the world. So those players. That's all well and good but what really moved me. A little more was all the players they showed up who were in. You know not flown in by their teams or by the NBA on a private jet. That made the effort to come on their own. Retired players who are not not household names on car was there. Otis Birdsong Buck Williams. Who should be a household name and in my book is definitely a household name and came with his wife from Maryland? Tom McMillan was there. That's what impressed me because those players you know everyone was looking to see where we're magic was. Everyone knew Jordan would be there. But Chris Dudley. was there those kind of players. I thought it was really cool that they came out to pay a homage to a man who really did as much for them as he did for even though he made it a superstar league certainly all the the increase in salaries and such benefited. All those other players who were not perennial all stars? Who are not hall of famers and who many of whom you know certainly are comfortable in their lives? But those were the people I I talked with an enjoyed scene and then the other thing that was just very significant to me was that y'all Ming made the trip. We know that relationships between China I and the US are tenuous and then beyond that the relationship between the Chinese Basketball Federation in the NBA are extremely tenuous and Yao how is the figurehead. And also the head of the Chinese Basketball Association. And he was there he was there in the very front row very prominently there and mentioned in a number of the speeches and it was nice to see politics. Get put aside for a second During that day the last thing I would say it's very very the women were well represented as they should be. Because I've told you guys before David Stern was great champion of women. Val Ackerman I thought gave one of the best speeches of the evening She choked up a bit. You know they worked very closely together. But you know Nancy Lieberman was there. I think I saw Ruth Riley there. There were a lot of WNBA players players also million about. So you know the only other funeral or wake or anything that I've ever been to like this was my late. Great friend will McDonough. You know the legendary sports writer for the Boston Globe when he died. They held his wake in the Boston Garden. Think about it and it was packed and and this felt a little the same. The the amazing reach that David Stern had and how many people it was really cold day. And how many people came out to pay their respects. It's pretty remarkable really so so I was among the jump this week and I spent some time talking with Rachel Nichols about the reason. Yeah yeah the reason I couldn't attend was I hosted the jump for Rachel so that she can go out to New York. She travel schedules preposterous. She was in Houston for the ABC game over the weekend and she went to New York for one day. And then she's going to Philly for this Saturday seventy sixers Lakers game. She's crazy easy but is Jackie. She said the thing that moved her. The most was the story. That Rick welts told. Remember that do you know yes very much. The the president of the warriors was previously the president of the sons but spent most of his career working for the League office and to set this up. he is. He was the first openly gay Lead MBA executive Right you just got married About Two weeks ago but obviously what he was working for the NBA in the seventies and eighties is one of the first few does NBA employees. He doesn't look clergy. He would be that old but he's he He has apparently And Jackie but he had. He was closeted in the seventies and eighties nineties. So right he was the story. Yeah I guess that does just set that up short. I assume the story that that Rachel members is what. You're going to tell here when he told absolutely so. Rick was one of David's right hand and men but also was you know took a lot of the brunt of his temper is anger has dissatisfaction if you will from time to time and but he. It was a closeted gay man who considered the self close to David Stern but no matter how close he was to anybody in the League at that time did not share with him that he had a partner whose name was Arne Chin and army died in nineteen ninety four and As you can imagine pretty devastating for Rick and pretty devastating to go to work every day and not be able to talk about it with anybody because it's not something he shared and And yet he you know he went out to Seattle For the if you're in the services and he had put in the you know the program or what have you of the service a little you know little place where you can make a donation in in memory Varney Chin and You know when the service ended and he got on the flight back home and he took all the envelope side of the bowl or wherever they were and was reading them on the plane and he opened one up from scarsdale New York and it was a ten thousand dollar donation from Diane and David Stern and he he had never told David Stern that Arnie was his partner. Partner had never told David Stern he was gay and he said that he actually Still just eight doesn't know how David and Diane found out and made that donation important to note. I think too that Diane and David Most People Know David Stern but those who knew David Pretty well we all knew this. Diane was a force is is a force and was very much influential in some of the decisions David. She's fierce environmentalist. A an animal rights activists. She's a staunch don stem and believes in doing the right thing and I think she influenced David Stern greatly and that really came out also during all of the speakers including her two sons who are very eloquent in talking about their dad is a guy in a in a suit behind the backstop watching them play a little league league baseball. Well there's more I was thinking about this. How is the NBA going to commemorate remember like unfortunately the NBA is everything sort of has its name already there? There's there's I'm sure there's been brainstorming. The Larry O'Brien Rien trophy. Is About a commissioner. You know the Bill Russell Trophy A lot of the the awards have names on them. What are the how can they possibly possibly commemorate him I? I'm sure that about the David Stern play tournament. Well Oh gosh I I. I was wondering about this something international basketball because it certainly one of his great legacies is the way he expanded the game to go on a global stage. and I wonder if there's a way That you do in something like that. Maybe it's attached to the US Olympic team. But to me it would almost be bigger than that you know because certainly maybe maybe something attached to the draft wrath. Because honestly when I think when a lot of fans think of David Stern they think of you know the guy shaking. The hands of the first round picks up draft draft craft obviously is as much of an international basketball event is as anything could possibly be probably outside the Olympics thought I think an international national flair to something would Of course the WNBA could rename anything and everything in there leak after David Stern because without him they wouldn't exist magic Magic gave a very eloquent talk said that David was like his angel that Him You know getting him and allowing him to play the nineteen ninety-two all star game. After he had had to re- retire a few months earlier saved his life and also the role that he played in getting him into the Olympics. He you know the following summer on the Dream Team when there were people who Just you know whether countries you didn't WanNa play against him and it helped so much awareness about the Z.. Self right Also left out that you know that. When he came back remember he played in the All Star game and then wanted to come back back and there was fierce opposition to that all behind closed doors among owners? GM's and as you guys remember recall some very much out in the open Reticence among players and David Stern just was like no not in my league. If you want to start saying my magic Johnson came play in my league. Then I'm I'M GONNA test all of you for HIV. Is that what you guys want. Are you convinced Magic Johnson's the only person with HIV in this league. Because I'm not that's what he told the and you know when he believed in something David believed in something boy. He didn't budge on it and that was true with the WNBA was true with HIV and AIDS awareness and activism and some other and some other not so savory things as we know all right were appreciate. You took the time to do that. Thank you back to the floor McMahon. You're in Houston. Rockets are have a go of it. I think they've lost five or six. James Harden is in the biggest shooting slump. I can remember I mean he certainly if he had bigger slumps in his career. He wasn't at this kind of volume Because he'd never played with this kind of volume earlier in his career. One of seventeen on threes the other night against the thunder The the rockets have slipped to sixth And the thunder on their heels and have the tiebreaker right. Now it for seventh Things are not going well this season for Houston which had very high hopes I think the computers were expecting Houston to potential at the number one seat. They liked what they did so much and that is not the way it's gone What's going on with the rockets right now? More importantly is this a longer term thing that that this way there assembled is not ultimately going to work. Well it looked the problem with rockets. Part of it is if not now then when I mean it's not built for the long-term there's a a very defined window and so you'd better when now and look. James Harden is able to kind of serve as the LYSOL call for a lot of things that stink but when harness shooting twenty four percent from three point range over a six game span. They're probably not not going to have a lot of success. You know they might go one in five so the fact that horn is is nasty slump. Certainly is a factor actor but is it. Is it shocking. That a guy who's right up with a league leading minutes and usage rate and you know that Usage rate is you know has to work hard to get those shots and those passes..

"You know what? I'll give you that. But Curry's been more impactful. Yeah, but you can that's the argument that you can have is just to Jordan argument. Maybe you can even throw in LeBron, the Browns pretty impactful, just to wait a heap play. No doubt. So I. Even knows conversation more, and I looked him Dunkin. Love Tim Duncan. And I think Duncan's all time, great one of the more underrated players, but Steph curry is more impactful than Tim Duncan what he does out there. You feel his presence, whether he gets the ball doesn't get the ball. And this guy said, we I might not have ever recognize that if Kevin Durant is not pull up limp with five minutes ago in the third quarter. I, I don't think I do. I don't think I recognize how impactful incorporate curry is during this particular run right here and I also probably as I love dream on green, I had cancer, coach him, I think he is brilliant of a player. I don't think I also recognize his greatness, unless Kevin Durant pulls up limp in the third quarter of game five I had that had to happen. See what these guys are capable of. And you could argue right now the four people are like him, and then Han over dream on green, it is. A no brainer right now. He is so far ahead of the rest of the NBA when it comes to fast ball, I q at being a conduit of the ball moving through him. I mean it's just like and continue on play, by the way they didn't have equal dollar in their last game. And they're still getting it done on the road. They don't they don't fret. They get down big. It doesn't matter. They stay the course truly truly remarkable to watch these guys. I mean you can make a case. They were missing. And I know you're not a cousins guy, but in theory could say they're missing three of their top six but it felt like the warriors were getting stronger, and the and the blazers just wore down. I mean I don't wanna get too much into the blazers although we can I want to wrap this up with, with Currier, at least throw this at you. When you think about the greats, Kareem Jordan Magic bird LeBron. This is one thing. I've been thinking about all those guys are at a physical most physical advantage. You know, Steph curry. Every time he steps on the court, he doesn't have a physical advantage..

"But I think barking was better than Karl Malone. So do I Kobe Bryant. What do you make a Kobe Bryant? Did you love him? The best score ever. Will. He has so much in his in his game. Most moves ever than best score ever to me. You guarded him a lot. Yes. How'd it go? I asked him. I have some good some good night's again. But he never gave me fifty. And you probably gave me forty a couple of times. But LeBron is the only player I feel like if he had the attitude Kobe have he could have gave me fifty every night. And I've I've never been given fifty my career. But if the Brian had Kobe attitude, he could distort me every Kobe's attitude was a big part of it, relentless. I'm I'm coming at you all game on both ends of the court. If I need to guard, you I will. But I'm coming at you all night every night. Let's go to five Michael, Jordan. You didn't face a ton of him. I played them. Once one time when he was with the wizards, and he was not nearly as vertical then he wasn't a vertical. But he's still was getting shot off. He still was Michael Jordan every time. He got the by everybody. You know, he's still Michael Jordan. You know what? I mean. I mean, Mike, Mike is my favorite, man. I I mean, if I had to put players now, I go Kareem, Jordan Kobe, but Mike is my favorite player of all time jerk. Novitsky number seven. What do you make of him? I say is the best euro ever and the first seven footer who was an elite shooter. Well, he's he's he's one. He's probably the best. Euro ever. But you gotta think go back to jersey that number three fetch of its he was a problem. So did you did dark didn't do much for you? Well, I look at a different. I got it dark. I locked Dirk up a lot of times, we beat them when they was a number one seat is eighteen so I don't I look at stuff different when I played against these guys. You see what I'm saying? Dirk is great don't get me wrong. But I stopped Dirk a lot. And I served him a lot. So I look at the different drugs a great player. But he wasn't a problem to me, by the way, you played with Tim Duncan not on this list. It always surprises me to Dunkin but Duncan also played within a system like Tom Brady. He played with an assist them. It wasn't reliant simply on Dunkin. Although it was a remarkable player. See the best team that you ever had. I think as far as careers that. Duggan had the best career of anybody. I play with he's he's he's the best player I've ever played with by far the best player I've ever played with how much was attitude how much game it was. It was everything leadership. Teammate, lean by example, being a brother on and off the court, Tim, he did everything like he he did everything and he gave me a title that I hold onto terrestrial life being ultimate teammate. Finally, I talked to somebody inside of LeBron circle yesterday. And they said this year gave them clarity. And they know who they can depend on who they can't give them Claire to even though it they acknowledged it was a really bad season injury optics all that it gave me clarity to. And here's what it showed me. Lebron's always played well shooters, this is a shooters league. And the Lakers don't have any. And I don't think you can go from no shooters on a roster to several in one year because everybody in the leaks trying to get shooters. I don't see Anthony Davis is solving their biggest problem there. Twenty ninth in threes. This that's not the game any more. I always say they tried to Anthony Davis. It does not guarantee in the championship. Oh god. No, not even close. You gotta you gotta make other moves. And even though we all knew that Brown wanna shoot here. What does it they bring in? They didn't bring in no shoot. If they brought us some guys that were veterans. They didn't bring in no shooters had brook Lopez. Let him go Brin. Now, don't you consider him shooter? I mean, he can knock down size..

"By the way, little NFL trade benefited both teams the New York Giants have sent pass rusher. Olivier Vernon to the Cleveland Browns. The Browns need a pass rush. More of one and the giants in return that an offensive lineman. Kevin Zeitler from Cleveland, interior offensive and played at Wisconsin. All American good player really a win win for. Both teams giants interior. Offensive line's not a strength that got better and the Browns. They got they need an pass rusher. They got one Vernon kinda underwhelming in New York. But he has talent us plan Miami. So I mean, the Brown's got what they need not a great player. But a good player. Giants got more of what they need. Good player. Not a great player win win for both teams. Would that we bring in? Stephen Jackson decade and a half in the NBA NBA chant with the Spurs. So the Lakers announced last night minutes restriction on driving to work thinking this morning. I could make an argument just sit him get up into the lottery, it's a lost season. What would you do? If you ran the Lakers. I'm not even going as far as the lottery, I'm just thinking of next year. What you building? Like if it ain't benefits is artificial. Why play him? Now, you're not playing for anything, you know, LeBron's going to do the most important thing for his team. Now is to find out what the other pieces going to do. So you have guys on the team right now that you either use trae pieces are guys is going to be a part of your bench next year. Let these guys play that these young guys play. So you can see who's going to be professional who's gonna finish the year on the right note was to play the right way. And see what guys that you can that you can bring back next to that can help you build for championship. You know, when the Bronco bring whoever you trade for you know, what they're going to bring us these young guys. Give them a time to get experience and be professional and see what you're gonna bring back next year. Do you think he regrets coming to Los Ange? Not at all. You don't you don't break records, and all of a sudden have regrets that just don't happen. You know, he I'm pretty sure he knew the only the only thing. That's that. That's that. That's that. He's saying that. Okay. Now, I realize what it is. He sees the rest of the conference is not a joke. He was he was dominated. He can he can have a bad season and make it to the Eastern Conference finals. You can't do that in the west. You can't do it by yourself. So that's the only thing. That's that's probably surprising him. But everything else he knew it was gonna be hard to get championship. I said Stephen Kobe Bryant always live down in Orange County helicopter, Dan, he never got sucked into the LA thing. The LA Rams players. Many of them live up Thousand Oaks, that's like an hour. Forty five minutes away. Lebron lives right in the heart of agents producers. And when he moved to town, I had somebody kind of around the Lakers circle said, listen billionaires are lining up to have lunch with them. And we saw him with Al Pacino Leonardo DiCaprio that he got sucked in a little like, listen, if you're a gambler, it's one thing to be a gambler. And then moved to Vegas and be a gambler when you're into the Hollywood thing which LeBron is is tipped his toe in the pool then you moved to Beverly Hills. Could I could I argue that he got sucked into the L A thing a little bit. Because I think he looks like a distracted player this year. Well, a lot has went on. And he didn't say credit for you know, with the players in young guys kind of turn their back and not knowing if they're going to come in. And they're playing given up on a team, you know, but the end of the day you can't follow man for building stuff where the basketball. I mean, who wouldn't I I applaud him? I don't I don't I don't think he's everything. He's doing off the court is knocking off his focus from basketball. He's still the best player in the game. When Katie the best players in the game a Greek freak now. But I I think everything he's doing is great, man. I don't think he'd lose focus that what what do you make a char Adam silver came out this week and said at a Sloan MIT conference bunch of smart people. My players are unhappy social media Charles Barkley came out and said, Kyrie irvings the most miserable human being I've ever seen. What do you make of the unhappy guy social media, the new millennial DNA? Well. A lot a lot of guys in the NBA. Now, you know that most guys are more into what the game can do for them and eleven to play the game. Cari loves to play basketball. And we are guys like Cari. Yeah. We know the money's great. And the money's changed our lives. But the game of basketball is the reason. So I played this game. And I show up here at the play this game and beat the best at this game. You got some guys only care about is walking through the tunnel on is e and being seen on the cameras. So the Grossman CMO Aggie. You know, got those time. Then you got those guys they come in the game. Okay. Once I get the contract. I don't even wanna play. I don't even care as long as I can stack this money. That sounds crazy to me. But it's the truth. You played with guys who didn't love the game. That's what. Every every team has at two guys that don't love the game. And I've heard this from guys is playing now and me being outside of league. And I'm hearing and save is now they got young guys that come in knowing work so up the practice late. You know, don't even post the game in a lot of I blame that on a lot of the veterans. Because when I when I was in the league, and I didn't work. I had guys like Steve Steve Nass Steve Smith Danny ferry. Steve Kerr Zach you gotta give him work. Can you gotta get him work? I don't care you're young. You gotta get him work before forces. I couldn't show up late. I wouldn't play. I wasn't even gets has to get on the court about soda late these days these guys can do what they want like Donnie Walsh Carlin. They bonus babies. The getting bonuses and acting like babies when we got a lot of money. I'm happy to getting their mind, and you got a credit. That's LeBron to the Broncos. A is a big reason why a lot of these guys are getting paid guys a six seven man on the bench making ten million a year. 'cause lebron. So you know, he he's he's done a lot of the game. And the reason why I'll give them so much props because he didn't care. It wasn't just about him. He did it for all the guys in the league. I want to go to the top ten all time scoring list. Lebron is now four and I'm going to go through the list, and I'm going to ask you about some of the individual players. So the all time greatest score in NBA. History is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, I'm older. I grew up watching him the most unstoppable shot ever the skyhook between his size the way he shot it and his left hand. It really wasn't indefensible shot about seventy five to eighty percent of his points came from that shot. If I say Karl Malone number to score. Were you a Carl Malone fan not at all why not? We never got Utah games on our feet in Texas. Like, nobody Utah wasn't a big team that nobody wasn't barring Utah jerseys. You didn't see nobody would've Karl Malone. John Stockton serves on raviolis. Nobody knew nothing about Utah. No, I was not a cardinal fan. No game. Didn't do anything for. You know, it wasn't above the round. I think barking was better than Carl Malone. So do I Kobe Bryant. What do you make a Kobe Bryant? Did you love him? The best score ever. He has so much in his in this game. Right. Most moves ever the best scorer ever to me. You guarded them a lot. Yes. How'd it go? I asked him. I had some good some good night's again. Robert ory has got to be a first bell at all the sub guys that drove the bus into some guys that were passed Bill. Russell is without question. The greatest player bowl time without questioning live in the greatest winner while all okay. So our George both. He's Jordans both player. Yeah. Only know you'll have player ball. Lebron got that. Right. All right liar. Lebron got that right, Geno? Why don't we line where we can both agree? Let's talk about the Dallas Cowboys stationed care business in week seventeen Goodwin for the team. Good performance from the quarterback. Dak prescott. Prescott will need another one next week against the Seahawks. Will also need is equal. Elliott's Zeke won the rushing title. Despite sitting out Sunday's game as head coach. Jason Garrett said the move keeps quote, fresher going forward bar. The Cowboys need out of Zeke, if they're gonna go ahead and beat this hawks team to set the toll there like I said Zico L is on a collision course with Bobby way. He's going to have to put his foot in his chest. He's going to have to say put in chest repeat there. Listen, the only way you beat a team like the Seattle Seahawks. It's out physical them. Right. And you got it. You can't try run around. We can't try gadget. There's only one thing. They respect physicality. You gotta say listen, this is going to be one of these in the phone booth type of games, you're going to have to set the tone. You set the tone early practice by saying this this the game plan? We're coming downhill we're putting a ball in our best player. We're gonna take shots. That's the only chance they have. Because if they try and not stick to their identity who they are then vantage going to go to the. Seahawks. And here's the other thing they need Zeke to be great. And by the way since the titans game. He's at one hundred yards from scrimmage in every single game Leinen week seventeen where he didn't play. He has been great. But they don't need him to be great to score. They need him to be great to keep their defense. The Dallas defense off the field because quietly this last month that Dallas defense it really did peak with that saints performance, and since then it's been leaking a little bit of oil. They've given up twenty three twenty three twenty and thirty five points in their final month of football. So I don't know that you can just say our defense is going to hold Seattle down sixteen points..

"And if LeBron please at a good to the same pace, but doesn't have to be better. Just good maybe many down a few points and plays doesn't get hurt. He will pass Kareem in about twenty twenty top five. Now, it's got to be Jordan. Got to be in there. Right. I think so I got right. I'm not sure I got to see the lots add up. I know that cream is number one is Kareem. I know that I forget what the Kareem Jordan. Ready Colby Bryant irritates my right with you missing one. Let me get the one guy. Let me just say this creams number one, right? Kobe's is free. Right. Jordan is four four. He's four. You're missing number two. You're missing number two. And I'll give you this here. I think not at all. What is it? That has not won a championship. That's correct. No. He played for the Lakers to. Okay, it ain't maybe you forget it. Gary Payton that great team which the nets would have beaten if they didn't run out of gas against. The NBA's right now, a Kareem Karl Malone Colby and Michael Jordan. And now and now LeBron because he passed Wilt Chamberlain, and after that, it's Dirk Nowitzki sixes, Dirk Nowitzki after that is Derek. And then shack Moses Malone Elvin Hayes KEMA LaJoie, why go okay. There's your all time lists it. Hayes is still in that top ten garrisoning. And LeBron let me here's a guy. Elvin Hayes is the guy that really flies under the radar. You know, I mean, he was a tremendous player started out with the with the Houston Rockets actually going way way way back. I think they were actually in San Diego when he got there Houston Rockets. And then of course, the big us in with the with the bullets actually won a championship with the Washington Bullets in nineteen seventy eight. Yeah. He is forgotten about talking about about all time, great players know share LeBron. They did lose very Rondo in this game. He broke his hand Jimmy Butler at a terrible debut for Philadelphia because he had collapsed in the fourth quarter against the magic. I don't mean to laugh, but they collapse they blew a huge lead. It happens. What are you going to do? Let's go to Enzo in New Jersey Enzo Enzo. How are you? Hey, guys. I just wanna make a met point and the point one voter to one voter trying to make a name, but they don't all vote together. And it wasn't like he was alive voter and decided I'm going feed a one voter, they don't know that he's he doesn't know he's going to be only voter because they're all voting at different times. So, you know. He's not trying to make a name for himself. And plus if you guys read up on this guy, the last few months, he does columns on high school baseball. So high school base for the last few months is deciding the Cy Young that's just. Mall side, the Cy Young only did was what he was one out to vote and who cares? Guys, twenty nine and thirty votes is a matter now. The only thing I care about what this guy is how we hung up on summers last night. That's the only thing I care about as far as his vote. And what does it matter? Jake won in a landslide. Mike and flora part, Mike, our you. Hey, guys. Hey, Joe guess about take the jets? I gotta go, and it's all about timing because Mike was saying the other day if if they don't fire me and the jets get off to a horrible start again next year, and they go four and fourteen. Now, they're gonna fire mccaghren, then we're gonna have a coach that the new GM doesn't higher and we're back on the wheel again. So I think you know, it's horrible is available. One of the heart bowls are available. I think the jets got gotta stay patient and go after one of those two guys are maybe like a Jeff Fisher. But they gotta they gotta make the right choice. Here is no way. Why Jeff Fisher? Please stop. Jeff Fisher got dumped for Joe, Sean McVeigh. He was Jeff Fisher, Mike, Mike ruined his entire phone call. But he ruined. Might say look, I if they find the cognitive not upset about that. They aren't they. Am I crying about that? No. Do you think he was killed? Kid does. He's insane. Mike come on. Now. Jeff. Everything else about your phone calls now up and drive us..

"To be at Staples Center. Who was the second the second seat last year, Golden State, first seed, Houston, Houston was what about Houston? No one's talking to add a Carmelo at that's rattle around in going anywhere. That'd be two, three, four somewhere in the top four. The right now, the top four teams in a west, the Lakers Golden State Houston and Utah. Michael. Do you agree with me? I think Houston is going to be worse. This upcoming season than they were losing a Reza and boot day to raise in particular defender, knocked down. Guy it just and you see, you see seen it happens football too, and football's a little different than the NBA. But the warriors are the champ and everything had even when they were down three games to two in and you still felt like, where's you're gonna figure this out? They're gonna even if Crispell hadn't gotten hurts. Like watching the wager. It's it's exactly right watching the patriots, but usually if you don't break through there, the window closes and it feels to me like with Houston that James harden still a great player. I don't know if he's ever going to be better than he was last year. I mean, he that may have been the best year he's ever going to have Chris. Paul's not going to be better than he laws on your ago or younger or less injury prone or any of these things. It feels to me that the rockets had the warriors and maybe correspondent get hurt, they win. We'll never know, but they just missed it. They had a shot and they didn't get it if Igwe wouldn't have got hurts. The of course read to see what's been over in five. Yeah, Iggy was a huge loss awards. A lot of people realized because they, he scored twenty points the game, but because of how I. He was an inner change -able. He made everything him BFF series kill the War. I have fun watching hardened play. Yeah, he's fun to watch and Chris Paul, by the way when the wars down three, two, two. When I was talking to clay, I said, clay, you guys win six in a row. How did you know I, I just felt it once they got win. I once they got to game seven, they weren't gonna lose that game. I mean, is this an oversimplification? The words were just better. They're just they're a better team when you have Klay and Steph and d. And and Draymond I never seen anything like Kevin Durant. I know we got, we got Michael Jordan Kareem and wilt some of the greatest scores. The top four scores out of scene wilt Kareem Jordan and Kevin Durant. I never seen nothing like him to guy, seven feet tall, handles the ball, like a point guard and cross you over any his shot as good as close out, just shoot. I've never seen anything like this guy this weapon. He's like the advance version of ianovski. Yeah, Yeah, yeah, yeah. yeah. Petr handles athletic. You add more to the way better shooter? Yeah. I mean, I watched him as I've watched very closely last couple years in the files. I'm just a maze. How far away are we before? He's the best player in the league because he's the bronze. Still the best player in has been for ten years the make it out in this. You could happen this year. Claes cages. Katie's close. Right now, people are afraid to say it. No, no, I hear you tomorrow. I think it's it's conversation, but LeBron just took a team that quite frankly was not very good boss the exact right. They just took a team. That's wasn't very good. And the only reason they won the these con again was because of that dude, literally, he's dragging a rock uphill. Yeah. Yeah. By himself by all against Jayson Tatum Jalen Brown and just a really, really good by the way he nearly beat the warriors and given by himself outside going. This guy can't be as good. I was watching the first game..

"Afternoon show Travis Andy and Ryan Hollins with you today. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who's in the conversation of goat? I would argue at this point that he's the goat is a three headed monster depending on a bit of a generational bias and. Kareem Jordan and LeBron or all you can make a case for all of them. That's not crazy. The craziest thing to me about Kareem with the goat is that it's easier to make the case for him as the greatest of all time. Then greatest Laker of all time. Right? It's actually eat out if it is true. Eight is I think easier to make the case for him as the greatest of all time. Then greatest Laker all time. Because if you start going through all the great Lakers, then you have to start really splitting hairs and looking at the aesthetics. And to me the fact that magic Kobe or west were all greats. But lifers that Trump's Kareem having played for two teams and and Kareem arguably has a Trump with Jordan. They have the same amount of championships in. This will six and also you're, you're giving Michael Jordan credit for losing earlier in the playoffs and the guy that gets to the finals and lose. I don't get that if we're only talking about rings than Bill Russell is the goat and we can stop right there if that's the only metric that we're using. So this whole conversation is something that Kareem doesn't sound like he has a ton of time for because he told Marc spears busy all intellectual and writing articles and books. Reason, I think that that Korean doesn't love talk. Talk radio is because creams too smart and for talk radio. Unlike the rest of Korea article, I'm like, I should just quit. That something. Right? And he also was the greatest basketball player of all time. Amazing writer, and he said the following, the reason there's no such thing as the goat is because every player plays under unique circumstances. We play different positions under different rules with different teammates with different coaches. Every player has to adapt to their circumstances and find a way to excel. This isn't Highlander there can be more than one. So I mean, I, he's right, but this is the reason that sports kind of exist is so we can have these arguments where there is no right or wrong answer. There is no Trump where you can say. That's it. We're done here that I can talk about Kareem. I can talk about Jordan. I can talk about James that I get it did Kareem is a little too highbrow, but this is why these games exists that we can have these conversations kareem's not right, but I understand it if is a guy who could literally score at will against anybody at any moment at any time that shot a skyhook from fifteen feet. If you hadn't watch Kareem, shoot that sky hooked from the free throw line like unguarded. Yup. Yup. And unfortunately, Corinne LeBron James is the greatest of all time. We can break this down to were blown face and I stand by it..

"The. Yeah, yeah, I did. That was really the deciding factor when you made it who took over in Jordan, did it every single time. The I dunno, I would say, train didn't take over not enough. Four of them. I don't know. You're not wrong. He. Yeah, he won his last two rings at age, thirty nine age forty, where he was still starting every game still playing thirty minutes again and was putting up nineteen in floor teen. So his sixth rang fresher wasn't the exact same as dominating. But his other rings was averaging. Twenty thirty points. A whole heap points. BSO twenty. Honestly, I feel like the air is really like it's in that era. It was all big men. You need a big man. That's what you want. Dancers Corrine as a devolved, winter wings. That's what you want. You go. Jordan. I don't know who the. Maybe Steph, like as it evolves like, have you wanna point guard, you just go Steph? I don't know. Maybe he shoots his name. I don't know how, but certainly in. This is gotta be like Durant Bron though. For point gore, I may. I would leave all LeBron is appointed. That's not what the best ball reference. The shooting guard through and through you read it, who do you think would be more dominant today? I know this doesn't factor into why we did this, but do you think Kareem Jordan? Because if Korean was playing like four blocks per game defense, which he had done and. If you play the exact same offense who is still going to be getting linked twenty five thirty points. Lots of points. Yeah. Jordan. I'm not gonna say never would've issue because obviously was crazy enough person to be able to do that. But. Spitz. Interesting. Just what the way God defense doesn't matter. Always. During the defensive player of the year. Didn't. But again, guard defense. So. What was joins amount? All defensive teams. Nine all first team. Yeah, Ramos. Eleven don't think offers to. It was five. I six second. So again, like with Jordan was on like he was all yeah, this guy's just like he made one second team in his career eighty five and everything that it's like, oh yeah, this guy's playing. He is the best in the. He's the best of his position Isley we're not leaving them off the first team. Allah, Mia. Well, they should all NBA. Yeah. Sorry, I'll defense, but yet. You're right. Either one, whatever posture, a wild move..

"So have you birthday julius smile and that guy's voice bruce springsteen just walked in saying i wish there was footage of what his reaction was like i wonder if he got up and like took his hat off and it was yes thank you oh they're doing took his teeth out and just good sports weekend also for america because boston lost and lebron confirmed as at least the second best in nba history they michael jordan is the best yeah probably i don't know and i it's tough because i somebody had a tweet over the weekend i think it was logan trent from crack to tweeted something about like how it's different we should just have different eras of the best ever because like bill russell was the goat in his era they won like thirty championships in a row like an annoying number of championships in a row but he would not be the best ever today no i don't even think jordan would be the best ever kareem kareem was the best in his time that he actually listed that's funny that you say that because he listed bill russell kareem jordan and then lebron and kareem was the controversial one i was like kareem just magic not no magic really he went korean right to nj i would've gone magic in between anyways see a happy off season to boston ill personal vendettas at all no i'm just saying happy off season you guys had a great season and that was adorable when jason tatum dunked on lebron yeah if you come at the king you know the rest so also speaking of boston there was a harvard study that's you know horrifying but confirms what i think we have speculated here on the dailies i so they looked into the number of deaths that are attributable to hurricane maria puerto rico and have come up with a number slightly above the sixty four that the trump administration head thrown out there they were about like seventy five times off yes it's four.
