"Though aided okay. This is a hot. Take a trying to figure out a good transition but say you know what's under radio. We don't talk about the eighteenth pick very much. I should us back to the dolphin dolphins. Nobody gets showed people who are listening to this. Hate you because you just change. Did away from what we were talking about which we'll discuss the our favorite adam sandler movies at one point. Obviously happy gilmore's the bust on so hold. Also the first movie. I saw at the randall tan in batavia Anyway you're right though the eighteenth big suppose. But here's the thing if we're going to get into the eighteenth pick. Who did you take it. Six. 'cause i mean it is a variable right. Yeah yeah i mean almost to get wild with it and you're like nah just taking all the pass cultures. So i think i think it only really varies a bunch If if the pick ends up being penny sewell at six Because i think there's opportunities for another offensive tackle even potentially at eighteen depending on. Who's the right guys are quite a few based on how things have gone down as of late like alex leatherwood fall off the face of the earth. Have you seen anyone talk about that guy. Yeah i mean. A lot of people don't like leather would but he he should go back into the first round. I think they're i like especially if Kansas city gets put into a pinch their and they need to to fill in an offensive. Tackle there I could see them. Pull the trigger on that. But i mean. I mean i think i think for the most part ear at least the targets that i would target are relatively the same at eighteen unless soules the pick But i did do my dolphins horizontal board. I yeah. i should've asked you about that at the beginning of the show but I did it. Yes i mean really quick. Every year my boards. Such a big board which is a vertical. You know best player going gown from there. Don't have the timer willpower. Like put real grades people anymore. I used to put grades on everybody but like life happens now. Unfortunately and then korean jackson wanted to beat you up. Yeah yeah i remember. When kareem jackson wanted to fight twitter yesterday would have won so he would've at least one that and so any anyway. The horizontal board is is kind of players by where they drop into rounds. I'll what days they fall into kind of your these are. These are my tears. A guys within rounds and on the board and you know Who who's left after we've crossed these off their who's in the top layers of this cake essentially and the top layer of the cake for me. is essentially kyle pits and whichever wide receiver you wanna take I have them technically. Stacked i think Smith and then walked on chase on the next year down by Quite honestly put them all on the same level and petty sool sneaks in there as well So those are really. Are you guys looking at it. Six being realistic. But then the next gap down for you'll start considering an eighteen. If any of these guys are there The first group of to that. I have there are If you don't take pencil You could look to take kevin jenkins from oklahoma state's he really fits what we drafted last year. No yeah beef in that nastiness that you saw a guys like kindly and hunt. Yeah and i mean like a lot of people are talking about how much indianapolis potentially loves him and think about him next to Quit nelson would be horrifying. That's going be that's going be criminal with.

"System. Thank you richard for giving me permission. It's today's system. Yokich isn't always down there with the big man. They run a screen role. They switzerland stuff so he's guarding the guard. So how can he get shots. Like portland is thirtieth in defense. But they're in the league in blocked shots. What's crazy is that we're talking about an individual award but basing it off team statistics talk shit. Allie talk that shit. Talk that shit allie. If we're we're not talking about team. Statistics damian lewis. You might just pure body of work from what about james harden. If we're talking about that we're gonna talk about james harden no. We're not talking about the listen. It's also the narrative. Richard urine media. Now you can't big boy the houston rockets and grow ball out with three other. Five other allstars a definitely big border man and i love going rockets game up yet but you know what that was the best move for him. I don't know the direction. The rockets are going. I like paul silas. John wall with like. Where are they going as a team. You gotta be really good or really bad. And i like christian would i think he's i think he's gonna be really good. Who else do you watch if you have to stay up and watch a game other like obviously the dumbest. I'm a stay up and watch all of them. I mean i'm i'm just a fan. I'm seeing fans. So i'm gonna stay up and watch all the games From from the they come onto last long go off. I'm i'm gonna watch them all go. I got as. I'm not a guy who's going to pick and choose. You know games to watch it. I watch all. Because i i just like you know. There's like to see guys you know go to compete at a high level obviously degree players in in league. I like to watch them. All anyhow zero game toss how your game yeah I can play. I got a I'm i'm a good point guard. I'm extrapolating on defense. Put the ball in. Where needs to go. But i get to the company score if i need to. Okay so okay give me the high school stats. Even the highschool stats giving high sense. I read about fifteen in school. I ain't gonna get you had a couple of small time offers. Nothing big time but i mean. I think i had central michigan. There's nothing wrong with central michigan back. I played well. Wall-to-wall at allie. He's not. He's not disrespecting your school by saying central michigan. Look if someone said. Let's school ask that central michigan. It's like look if someone says they had some pac twelve offers and it was washington state in and and i don't know and oregon state as if it's bigger than arizona. Okay and i was just one of those guys. It out there because i could play pretty already knew what was going to be. You know them and they knew that they knew they were like as he's gonna go play football he just needs somebody corner blitz. It will have to be patrick mahomes. Ooh shit these slippery thing about a he. Don't really talk shit though. He's just so good. It is so good man and what he does for that offense. Obviously the weapons that he have. It's just like your chances so much better. You can knock the hell out of mccown slow. He's so good man. And i respect the hell out of him man. He's so smart as a player in this crazy we played lose clan of this year. And you know. He's individually twice a year in the second time we played them. He's looking at us and he's like he tells them he's all right. We're good we're good and he just basically calling our coverage is out and we like ours seat man and we like hot i see it is is like he is so good man. The his skill set is arm strength. No ways able to keep plays alive. He just does so many great things for that team in that offense man as is one of the things you get a chance to the You want to pay for. Maybe you chase those guys around. And and even we have uncovered. He's gonna take off and that's the thing that makes it so crazy about him though. Is that when you're when guys like that when a guy that has that many weapons in that skilled. I don't know because again we don't have anything like that a basketball when because it basketball. We're like we're running four up one down and it's like everybody knows by the time you play a team. A team. Seven times series. Do you know all their play called. They all know you know it is a matter of light. We dare you to stop us right so like when they're when a guy like that. That has that weapons that many weapons. And he's that skill and he's looking at you guys and he's calling out your defensive coverages the level of light. Fuck here we go. What the okay. Work with dan. We was in his whole thing this year so we plan a lot of zero against him. Sources like nobody has no. It's no midfield safety. We basically listen. Everybody it's like in what he's like he's looking he's looking like we good guys they zero. I'm like oh my fucking god. As i told i'm like man we go to one time. We'd say he's basically telling us we're zero. He knows the coastal slice. Okay just run it down and then all of a sudden happens like you know they let your man coverage he leads a receiver. Didn't even have a break on you and there's just no help coming from anywhere you're just eyeso- i kill tyreek hill. He so he he scrambled around make. Somebody missed the mighty run back to come back to the ball game. Like oh my god and then come on. rule guiding. Nfl that you think is like a breakout star that we analysts. They haven't heard of but like need to watch more. Is there a god. Were you like. I like this guy. He doesn't get a lot of attention. We're like is nice Almost say that. God has planned on the side of me. Justin simmons you guys. I mean he just resigned you. Yeah he just resigned and it just made his second pro bowl this year. But the i mean i think he's one of those guys to me. He's the best in the game I know a lot of other guys get a lot of recognition. You don't really get a lot of recognition that he deserves. He's a hell of a hell of a player he can cover tackle. He does it all. You know. But i i think him you know. I say you don't get a lot of recognition. Forty goes down a few but on this starting to kinda you know. Pick out for me. Odyssey's highest paid now. But before he. I will say this has been so much fun Before we let you go. I do want to give you a chance. You have the kareem jackson foundation. Yes yes. I do taking what he does working on. What would you have gone on Right now we're actually just trying to schedule some new events for the season the upcoming season hopefully things will be back to normal We usually do even called pretty in pink. And let me explain. What is you know. Korean jackson foundation. What we support saw is always support women with breast cancer. A lot of work when we're breast cancer.

"Man. I love do. They'll do it. They don't live. They probably they probably practice once a week. In most timely practice they in sneakers in in whatever it is that why you you guys really hate them. And i don't mean that people. I mean their position. I feel like there's always this underlying level of resentment towards like kickers and punters in life like you had one job whenever they make a mistake like you guys are the first ones that macklin celebrate with i i want. I don't hate him is just that you know. Sometimes you in camp and dog days a camp and they still can't come in every day of be. They still feeling good week. Fifteen roller raw. You might have a might have a high ankle spring a spring to roll or nursing. They come through smiling upbeat and he's a slide. You look causing in some in some organizations. It's like they don't even have to stay there all day. Like you know. Like in. And i've never sat in a meeting room with him but i can't imagine what would it meeting would be like What do you mean about. I don't know what they would talk about closer to the goal line. Ask punter kicker. Because i respect those guys because i can't kick but just let when it comes to the monotone that you know obviously other positions spin and meeting rooms in your the aches and pains and all that stuff you know. It doesn't match up so it's just kinda like look at them. You get this okay. So this is one. We always have conversations in sports about what's easiest is like like baseball. They'll travel places and they'll be there for like four days and they only traveled to like warm weather cities right like they have to go to milwaukee. But they're going to milwaukee june right and allow these guys live in different places but they have to get to the ballpark even for like seven o'clock game. They had to get to the ballpark at like two o'clock riley in super early for us and even practice i practice. We could be practice for an hour right. And that's like an actual like schedule a practice that means that we have practice for like forty five minutes. Maybe an hour than everyone shoots at their own hoops. You might lift you do your treatments but really if you were doing the bare minimum you could be in and out of there in like probably ninety minutes our ninety minutes if you have if you look i got an appearance or like you know i gotta get back because my kid. I'm going to go say goodbye to my parents. So like if you're dislike an in and out day ninety minutes are you telling you did the bare minimum no. I'm just saying that there were times that they were times. Okay for instance. If you didn't everybody knows this when if you didn't pack before your flight right if you did not pack before your flight you would get to practice and you'll be like guys. I gotta go packs so it was like as soon as practical zone over. There was no extra work there was the home pack and then meet at the airport so like we're talking about like just a rare moment that being said would you tell people what a football like morning like kind of like a a medium to long day as for ya. It's absurd is is is is like so for me in. Obviously i'm a little older. So i gotta get going. I had to get my body on sexist so I'm obviously with being with denver. Now a little different. When i was in houston because to will get a law. Early stole a denver. We probably meet about eight thirty. I'm usually up about six thirty seven o'clock a facility. So we yeah. They're they're our before meeting so probably seven thirty. I walked in the building. You can have the option to lift before means in the morning and usually i will live just to get knocked out because i don't like lifting after practice. 'cause that's just gonna make my day even longer so so around eight thirty we might meet Get out before which is about seven thirty. I eat breakfast and you know just kinda relaxed to eight thirty meeting so we might meet from eight thirty to maybe about twelve thirty to twelve thirty eight thirty two gonna meet so you're going to go from the team meeting. Dan is going after team. Meeting might be special team meeting. So i get a little break there because i'm outta specialty but i'm still in the building. I'm not gonna just basically lousy around in my locker or to shoot somewhere around facility. Or whatever i mean and from there you go to You go to office. Defensive means authencity usually install it. You know what we're gonna do you know On a week in the game. So that's gonna go about an hour maybe hour and a half depending on you know lengthy You know your coaches or whatever so there you go to individual meetings now. You're going to be an individual meet for another hour and a half. Maybe two hours there you get a. You're going to practice but you're gonna get a lunch break before practice so that lunch break known away from the last meeting you gotta walk through. So you're gonna go to walk through our walk through be about forty five minutes and you basically walk through all the stuff you're going to do in practice so after they walked through you get you get gotta lunch break full about maybe about forty minutes so after lunch break there you go to practice now. It's about one o'clock why one one started practice yet. I haven't even started practice. Dan you go to practice you gonna practice for two hours prior to ours now at the practice you got means after practice then you watch fan for maybe about thirty minutes. You walked practice for him. And then after that you gotta do all your your your self care. You're you taylor when you get to be human. They're not when you get home about eight o'clock.

Dan milwaukee seven o'clock ninety minutes houston two hours seven thirty taylor forty five minutes first four days about forty five minutes twelve thirty eight thirty one job about eight o'clock once a week hour and a half an hour about thirty minutes Fifteen roller

"For me defensively. We had a ton of guys that were really good so i didn't want to be the liability out there. I don't wanna be the one guy slipping that's like mad. you know. sometimes you play with that liability us like either. How can we help them get better or we're going to have to try to get off the field want to be. That got me wants to be there for me. Day one on campus It was me and a guy named relondo mclean. I one of my best friends in college and only mentality was to go through now about three season. We're going to go. Who let the chips fall where they may and we have three great season in both of us in getting drafted first round. that was all mentality. i'll first day on campus. We stuck to that. We work work to it and that was all we thought about it and so you know. I'm a person that question. It was a little bit all that you have something to say. Look a little fuzzy on my end. So i just wanna make sure. I'm not like interrupting as you guys are talking to Do you have a favorite nick. Sabin story i. I know richard and i don't care about this but nick saving coach monitor as well for a year toledo. Nine hundred also was a gpa. At kent state so he represented in the back a little bit. Okay in the conference time. But i i just remember one time on the field and no you one of those players that kinda pissed the coach off and dan he just really star sir. No go off on a man. I just remember he was doing. This kickoff drew so kicking off fifty sixty yards down the field in the entire time we doing especially teenager. He like literally walking up down the field with this guy. Every time h is basically giving him hell and he's and he's just got to appoint a huge his life folk. You're not even that good. Like tell him bat under our my god when he was one of those guys like i didn't care who he didn't care who what player was if he was a coach player. athletic trainer. He didn't care if he got pissed off about some. He's going to let you hear about the. Did that help you. So like a every school is different. The way you know we're going to associate bass boat you know the way. Urban meyer approaches. Something is different than nick. Sabin the way lute olson college coach approach something different than let's say my suggest sqi Shutout our guy. Roy williams great career retirement. We'll get into that. But do you think that that better prepared you. Because when you're talking about that type of environment at alabama next thing you know you're getting into the nfl. There's no difference. You guys are prepping the same your work in the saying you're training the same. mike was. it wasn't a big jump for you. I'm not talking about like talent. Obviously you're going against fucking calvin johnson's and different receivers like on a nightly basis. But was it a difference like oh this is the same is just the talent that we're going against his better It definitely prepared me. You know i would say going into Finally getting drafted the coaches were a little more lenient. Obviously respect you to come in your business. Then and leaving him man and being so demanding and he's gonna ride for every little thing and it was a db coach as loyal. So i will have. We will watch them when we went through individual. Would've been so every little thing you won't who's going to critique it no he's gonna correct you here Footwork if you step outside of yourself to go a certain way he's going to correct every little thing you did so definitely helped me you know just just my mentality just You know making sure out honed. In on the little things as a player in in you know obviously expecting a lot of myself and not just expecting the coaches to correct you on everything so it definitely helped me in that aspect covering guys like know obviously johnson and larry for general. Who's a guy you know on instagram. You see these videos of derrick. Henry is workouts right. Who's a guy when you're back there. And he got a full head of steam that you like listen. I got a harness. Every bit of pounds that i got to put down like who is just a rhinoceros. We he gets a head of steam. Bowling ball I was saying right now him but before him it was adrian. Peterson was just knew he was. He was that guy especially being in the secondary once. You know once he got to you he was. He was at top speed especially the untouched in a year. I hear here on the hill and get this guy down in like will you know. Obviously i gotta try to shoot my god before each in by eating one of those guys. He's not slowing down by starters. Feet he see you in his. You almost like you can see his eyes. It's like oh my god. He's one of those better bite down your mouth piece. It won't work. Elizabeth mac but you definitely just over his career man. He's always been one of those guys that we see them in open-field bit how you spell that day. 'cause it's not. It's not going to be anything pretty. That's funny when you said that way you're just like when he yeah he gets the open field or if he gets into the backfield especially if he's untouched at that point time he is run. Like 'cause i think. Derrick henry as as big as he is like adrian. Peterson seem more like a missile. When he broke through that a missile a missile and like it we used to call him a raging bull like he is almost like he seeking not contact in. He's running so angry fast so he's running so fast it's like i is nowhere. You're gonna win that match up so you gotta get to 'em you hopefully somebody slows them down or spending around. He don't have that for that esteem. But you gotta you gotta try to crow that space you can before he get going okay so then. Who if you had to pick one if you had to pick one open-field by the pig one. Ap peterson okay. I'm gonna say you know we're not we're not really going on. That's no To derrick henry. I'd still like during. Henry's more for nist than adrian peterson. They're hearing might make you miss an open field or he knows stiff arm. You a p angle make you miss he on that train. He's on the tracks. If you get on is is it will be pretty okay good. That's 'cause that's what it feels like watching. I like basketball six speaking up. Six seven months ago we had on here myles garrett in january richard talking about the transfer from an nfl player to an nba player or vice versa. Which one was easier like having these conversations jenning. If you're in the nfl what position would you play. Hit me. are you fucking as sound like you. Don't wanna give you saw myles garrett. Do you want him to me now. I'm not built that way right punter. You're not touching me. Hey if you touch me go get your is about a year. All i gotta do is left in the shoot out of a footba and brian act. Like i'm gonna chase the money and they don't even live guys.

"Because of these It's more prove it years when instead of getting a long term deal this offseason which you would typically see from a veteran with because of the covid in the salary cap going down. It's because of that interesting. all right. So kareem jackson zach. Got to be honest when they didn't pick up the option. I thought kareem was gone. Actually i was arguing on on twitter and social media about the fact. No no. he's not coming back. This is over because they're going to try to go elsewhere with money but the way george payton has done everything made it a little bit easier. Was this ever in doubt or is this kind of like shelby harris situation from last year it was exactly that it wasn't a shelby harris situation from last year and it wasn't what it was in doubt now. The broncos always kept that line of communication open but said you can go test the market. They tried to negotiate with corinne before they declined his option And tried to restructure back but kareem didn't wanna take a discount so the broncos said you know what kareem we really like you but why don't you go see what the market is like for yourself just like shelby harris. Last year he found out the market wasn't as lucrative. He knows vic fangio system he's probably going to have the most success for a one year deal in vic fangio system now getting to play adjusted simmons again and now have a pro bowl cornerback with him to pair with With bryce callahan and ronald darby. This is something where all of these guys can look really good this year and then careers. That will only help him and his value for after this season. So i'm looking at this depth chart now you locked up your safeties. We talk about the long term deal with justin simmons. But you got these cream for for the next year. You locked up your safeties. You gotta love your your corners and honestly well ronald darby. Kyle fuller bryce callahan. All top tier guys and michael. Ojemudia was a rookie. Last year made strides. So we're calling it a four quad instead of a trio. I think four back home you got back for the year bradley chubb on paper. Everything looks pretty damn good shelby harris. They're inside linebacker. Nez that now. Become the number nine. Pick for the broncos it could but the brady the broncos could also still address inside linebacker during free agency. They still have twenty seven million dollars in cap space with the way they did just deal with the way they did Darby's deal and the way. They did shelby steele. They did not eat up a lot of caps they this year i do expect them to roll over some of their twenty seven million dollars cap into next year to help with those bigger capitals that hit next year but if they want they can still go get a potential wilson. He's a linebacker who with the viking flashed. You're he's still available. Could be a coverage linebacker to help you there..

justin simmons george payton bryce callahan last year ronald darby next year Last year Darby kareem Ojemudia twitter kareem jackson one year corinne simmons vic fangio twenty seven million dollars michael this year Kyle fuller

"This year is only nine despite winning searching games last year I mean you talked about they didn't really add any weapons draft. Jordan love the first round who's going to sit on the bench draft in the second round Aj Dylan who is right now third string running back just not A. Great off season as far as rowing your team for the packer. The Christian. Kirksey who's a linebacker they already lost their two starting linebackers. That's kind of a wash. The Vikings are certain lean interesting team just announced actually moments ago on twitter that donell hunter who their superstar defensive end has has been I are now that doesn't mean is after the whole year. You will miss at least three games. So the Vikings are definitely going to be a little bit undermanned Yana, gakuen. It's GONNA making his debut or at the Vikings he got traded there. Let's see how up to speed. He is but this is an interesting one The makings are a three point favorite An interesting betting tip is that the vikings cover eighty percent of the time under Mike Zimmer a home favourite in weeks one through seven, they are three point favorite I'm with you I actually think Minnesota is going to win this game adding Alvin Alexander Madison they're GONNA have a big game on the ground. I like the Vikings too narrowly edges out and cover against the packers three. And let's start going through the rest of the Games. Let's start with a let's transition to. SEATTLE ATLANTA. So this is your former Guy Dan Quinn. He's going against his former team out a falcons weird team nobody really knows what to do with them. I think they've nine or ten starters on offense that were former first round picks. So that's really good in the fact that they have a lot of talent. A lot of the guys are also in their second and third owns. The Seahawks are road favorites one and a half points one o'clock aim. Willie, who do you like in this matchup especially considering the way Atlanta finish six and two down the stretch they started one in last here. What are you thinking about this game I think when you talk about What is right now? They're a team who's trying to figure themselves. Right you talk about having all the first round draft picks you talk about Dan and having an. Base. all the faith in will in this single form but you've got to wonder how long can he? How Long Can Matt Ryan? How long could this team really stay stagnant level because that's what Atlanta is there stagnant team. has have enough, but they just can't get there. I'm about tough division you talk about you know the box and in New Orleans the two juggernauts we're gonNA talk about coming up but I think right now When he comes to I don't have the feeling that know I wanted to win I. Love a mobster think. Has Midget Love Ryan Morris but I'm up in the air. I think Seattle. Was the more sturdier veteran savvy team and that's the thing going into students. Teams who have better leadership. Teams who know who they are like Seattle seahawks to. A team who doesn't necessarily have a lot of distractions and particularly in the off season right Seattle's been pretty. They've been pretty steady they acquired. Jamal Adams. which they needed after the loss of you know, Earl? Thomas. But the fact that they have Bruce I think Bruce. is now just. Jude Damian clowns out. He's a now a titan but I think this team knows who are they know what to do? They know how to win on the road they have a solid coach as well as their. Own housebreak Carol I'm going to Seattle with this one I. Think they just they know they know. Who They are how to win and particularly on the road in not how to handle adversity talk about Russell Wilson? If. There's always that. You know that bar that bar question you sit around around with your buddies in a fourth quarter and you down touchdown you know who? Who Do you want to be a quarterback Where do you want him to perform at Russell Wilson on-road is this just as dangerous as Russell Wilson at home So I'm I'm rooting for the SEAHAWKS and this one I hate to say it out loud because obviously I'm harsher through and through as well as you off but I got to seahawks. Yeah the seahawks are really really good I'm picking them to do really well I. Think they're going to be a top three seed in the NFC. But yeah, I, mean, I really like a Seattle their ten into irritant to last year in one score games out like you said, Russell Russell Wilson. Captain Comeback They trailed at some point last year thirteen times and finished the year eleven and five. There's just kind of speaks to how good Russell Wilson is especially late one concern I would have and you kind of touched on it leaving clown is not there anymore they have bruce who's like an okay situational pass rusher didn't really have any other ED rushing options l.. J., Collier Rosa, a high pick a year or two ago. He hasn't really seen the yield Matzo who's really getting pressure on the quarterback. It should be interesting to see if Seattle kind of adapts their skiing's always been this cover three zone team and it'll be interesting to see what Jamal Adams, who good blitzer are they just going to have them keep stay back maybe either play in the boxer play the middle I'm interested to see kind of how they use him but I would have a concern with Seattle getting to the quarterback. ATLANTA. Is returning all five starters on the offensive line. So we'll see what it is. It is there but I do like Seattle. To not only win but cover the point and a half on the road. Now. Let's talk about your former team, the New York jets heading to buffalo the bill six and a half point favorites. This is a very low over under toilets thirty nine I mean, this is You know the new AFC East Tom Brady is gone He's know in Tampa. The division is totally up-for-grabs. Cam Newton is now in in new, England, the jets and the bills return very similar rosters last season all the jets had a little bit turn over the offense aligned certainly has turned out with MCI back and being the big chip in the draft. The bills adding Stefan digs. This is is could be a slugfest willy who do you like in this matchup? For jets man only feel only because I feel like I have to even though, I I've been buffalo's a damn lieutenant believe it or not. But I just it's hard for me to turn. To to turn the tables and say, no to jets because I think this fan base is so goddamn thirsty man I I was. I had to do promotion thing for Dunkin Donuts, and I was a marine into a couple of jazz fans and they're walking up to me not with like glee and hope and they were coming up to me like. A COP in like a sign that said, cheese help this this fan base wants to win I. Think the fact that they Joe Dover's has done a great job addressing the needs Jamal Adams wanted to go. She's gone they needed a big time tackle after they let Kelvin Beecham go and the loss of democracy I endure Meyers House jets, or not I. Got Marquis Staple. mccaw Becker. I like my I like back then. But. He hasn't played anybody. He doesn't even there's no tape doesn't a preseason to gaze where he's exactly the where he's exactly at. Only I see from not kid brought a four hundred thousand dollar goal chain. So. Big. Ticket right. So I WANNA see him I wanna I'm interested to see him perform because buffalo has a damn good beef as one of those guys can knuckle up in a gritty near tough trust trust me from going to war with. "Korean will be done after this year. A Djibouti is likely now Kareem Jackson is an interesting one. I think Kareem Jackson and von Miller are a little in my opinions, my pain that they're They're a little bit of a similar kind of situation, considering that they're both vets, and they're both they both could potentially He handed a bit of a restructure. Yeah, Kareem's probably done after this year here unless he has a place like he did last night. She has a Pro bowl caliber type season or has a very good you know, just on the edge of Pro Bowl caliber of you if you wouldn't have had an injury and then got suspended at the very end of the year, but he didn't have those two things. He the majority games. He played really well. That's also factoring in the early parts of the season. I mean, everybody was playing like he didn't play well. What I'm saying is his age and his cap number is not going to be back and for your three at those at that age in that, captain, I think there's an argument for restructure if he plays the majority of this next season, the way he played this last year, and he's as big an impact Don't forget they have no depth behind safety, but I know that's him. And that's the problem Dream Jackson making They got No, It's a wasteland, you know, but we all like Trey Marshall, but he's not in a train. Marshall's not a starting caliber safety NFL unless you're going to free agency for safety. And I doubt you're gonna find one is talented Scream Jackson and Fitz what they were trying to Dio in free agency at the price tag that you want to pay. Then you're going to be drafting a safety and you're probably spending a high draft pick of the safety. I don't mean the Broncos could have before receive that water, but I don't think they're I wouldn't bank on that. I have a feeling you're going to be spending an offensive line. We're going to need something on the defensive side of the ball. That's not safe. What is the hottest high draft pick they spend on safety tunnel luck with free. Just 60 was a first rounder, buying stock. And free agent guys. DJ award. Darian Stewart. If they had no problem free safety seal with TJ Ward. There was that contract was crazy. I didn't expect them to be able to get T. J Ward. He was one of the better guys that was out there on the market. Just trying to think the last safety they spent a high draft pick on would be Kenoy Kennedy. Hey, was a second rounder. I'm just I'm I'm spitballing trying remember? Well, Kareem Jackson. If they decided to move on from him. It would free up 10 million. And then they would have 2.8 against the cap so they'd save 10 million towards the cap is basically what this This looks like. So for 12 million Are you saying that you can find somebody that plays at the level that cream Jackson has played for this team to win three agents away? Look at the way from the way Ah! Front officers tend to look at it. He is. Can I get 80% of the productivity's 85% of productivity. That's that's the bare minimum. I need that or more, right. So I'm gonna replace this guy. Am I getting 80 to 85% of the productivity? What's the price point? If I were for me, what I would do is I would take Kareem Jackson. I'd say, Let's give you an extra year on this deal. Supreme Jackson's 33. It's not like cream Jackson is going to be. Once he leaves the Broncos. He's going to be trying to catch on somewhere else and get this kind of money. Let's let's give you the cash up front. If we have the cap space well, bonus it out, and then we get we add an extra year of a team option. That's what I would do with cream. Jackson and I have a similar conversation with von Miller. That's why I kind of put those guys in a little bit of a similar conversation based on their age based on what where they at their career. You know what we want to keep you on this team. You mean a lot to us. We don't have a ton of death at safety. In this case, Let's let's just bone issue another year. We'll give you your money. You'll get your money, but we're going to get an extra year out of it. I think by the way, I went back and looked at the Broncos draft history for safety's Raheem or the second round. Oh, yeah. Smith and our Selma bath off Bonzo Smith is the famous one Both remember why Ah Josh McDaniel chased a first rounder a future first rounder to get Alfonzo Smith of the top of the second round. Pretty sure had one start this career. Remember, right? It's right to Detroit. Yeah. Just stumble. Looking back trying to get 1st 3 round safety Cata guys now Darrin Williams was a corner. Eso is Dominique fox words between Carl Pema? The guy was was over there. Um, just tryingto anybody that was third rounder sooner. Jeremy Lee. Sure. Remember that? That was the D J. Williams Tatum Bell draft. Oh, yeah. Yea, Okay, um And then the door, said day. I mean that Sam Brandon Was to ease 1/4 rounder. Remember him? Most these guys, I'm just going back and look at Delphi O'Neill. Oye. Remember Delta on his corner, but, um Yeah. Looks like cannoli. Kennedy, I think was the last guy Eric Brown. Okay, well, I want to finish this up. Really? Just do that You could only was the last guy was good. I should say outside of justice citizens, So we We don't necessarily see Ida and Kareem Jackson..

"Said we do have a poll question up right now at KOAA Colorado on Twitter who will be the Broncos defensive MVP in twenty twenty von Miller drill Casey Bradley Chubb Justin Simmons right now von Miller winning this poll Bradley Chubb is you're right there so pretty close I voted for Bradley Chubb by the way okay I voted for Justin Simmons the only because he sees the field the entire the entire season and I I really think you even thinking badly troubled well they they see the field was a ninety percent just the same as a hundred percent I mean pretty much yeah so I mean we're we're splitting hairs I I actually think there's argument for all all four of them I think there is I think you'd even throw in like I said Kareem Jackson I think we can have a argue about Todd Davis will likely leave we can at least leave the team in tackles there's there's there'll still be harassed kit comes away with with big plays batted passes I mean there's there's probably argument for anyone of these guys yeah other then then yeah I I could totally understand that just and you know he's good for the show and you know I enjoyed enjoyed talking to him from time to time but I'm not you know I I look at and and you know we're all big fans Justin Simmons B. last year before all this went down I was like he's going to become a household name by the end of season sort of maybe all pretty but you know I look at these guys and I'm just for my own personal thing and they have a bounce back season knowing how Bradley Chubb is is kind of Courtland Sutton on the defense enters the attitude work ethic all that kind of stuff and he was where it was interesting get to talk to both those guys a buffalo wild wings last year because it felt like it was kind of a new unified narrative between the two you know Courtland brother has sent a lot of the same things very similarly it's interesting because they're off the side of the ball so it's it's it would it was kind of fascinating to you know to see two guys have the same approach would be different sides of the ball that aren't necessarily in the same same meetings and

"Kareem Jackson for Bradley Roby. If that was a trade, would you not say that the Broncos won the trade? I would. So it works out that way. Certainly Bradley Roby was free to make his own decision. Just so happened. He signed in Houston. He could had longer offers for less money. Elsewhere decides to maximize his one year value, and then hopefully prove himself to get paid like a first round draft pick at corner should get paid. But Bradley Roby was not deserving of. So I think especially when you look through it with the lens, and it's a little bit unfair to do. So, but because it worked out this way, I think we should do it. Bradley Roby to Kareem Jackson, upgrade is Kareem Jackson. Pier. Two sear. Is he Bryce Callahan? No, he's the he's the guy after those to the Broncos did not get the best corner on the market. They didn't get the best tackle on the market. But again. You have to take a little injury risk. You also have to shop at the, you know, at the twenty five percent off rack, you don't have to go bargain bin. That's a losing recipe for free agency. But you guys get the slight discounts and the Broncos have done that. And look say what you will about. John Elway the entirety. If you look at his body of work free agency. Usually when he makes tries to make an impact signing. I'm not talking about Adam Jones or Jamaal Charles or even Tremaine Brock these these bargain bin maybe they can possibly like. No, that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the the big money free agents that John Elway has brought in except for at right? Tackle. Which may make you a little weary of John James. I'm just saying he's better than these guys. John Elway hits more often than he doesn't. As long as you understand that these aren't franchise altering guys they are upgrades from what was previous there. And that's what John Elway is doing. Vance Joseph to Vic Fangio case keenum to Joe flacco, John Jay or Jared Valdeir. Did you want James? Bradley Roby cream Jackson. These are all upgrades are they large enough upgrades to make the add up to make the difference between a five and eleven team and an eight eight nine and seventeen competing for a playoffs. Spot that'll remains to be seen. I know that this off season is not just about free agency for John Elway. It can't be. He has to hit at ten probably has to hit at forty one. Because there are a ton of teams in the NFL that are getting better how the moves. Some of the moves that the raiders have made. Now, there's there's reports coming from people from fan cited and a gambling site, which we will take lightly. But Antonio Brown tweeted out today. Congrats Levy on on getting paid will let you know. I'll let him tell you where a lot of people thinking, it is the raiders still don't know yet. Jets gave him a deadline. So we'll see how that all plays out. But there are other teams looks like the ravens my ended up getting Mark Ingram who's just allowed to leave by the New Orleans Saints. So there are a lot of teams around the NFL who are also getting better. But the Broncos are getting better along with them. The the biggest L I think the Broncos have taken so far is Matt Paradis. I think he just so important to the Denver Broncos. I know he's at injury concerns. But when he's healthy he is one of the best centers in the NFL. And we discuss briefly last hour. Mike Klis reports say that Matt Paradis was offered a one year deal in Denver offered a three year deal and Carolina, and he took the three year deal with the three year deal. He still didn't get what he wanted originally because of his injury. And he was on good morning football this morning. And. Said quote, I think the level of play I played at the money needs to reflect that other than that. I'm trying to win got a taste of winning a Super Bowl in the pass in my whole life. I've been part of winning teams. I don't like losing. So I need to be part of a winning team and quote are the Carolina Panthers and winning team. No. Yeah. I don't think so. Thank you. But look. I think you could talk about Mike mon- shack in what impact he can have on the offensive line. And you can say that he'll get the most out of Connor McGovern. I believe that he will. But is that enough when compared to what Matt Paradis would bring you? I was talking with tweeting back and forth with someone last night. I think the separation between Matt Paradis now that Mitch Morris was off the market the differs between Matt Paradis in the next guy up is wide. I believe the difference between Matt Paradis Economou govern is wide. So we'll see this is this is gonna be Mike munch. There's two pet projects that Mike mon- shack will have once he can get his hands on his players. One is to get Garrett Bowles from stop from grabbing dudes around the neck and throwing them to the ground. The other will be to maximize whatever potential Connor McGovern has. There was a little bit of discrepancy on where Connor McGovern were play guard tackle center. To me. The Broncos offering a one year deal to Matt Paradis was. Yeah, you are better than what we have. By with your injuries and things like that. We're only comfortable with betting on you for one more year. And if that goes, well, then we'll talk again in that Paradis wasn't having that. I think the other impact quickly that this Kareem Jackson signing to go back to him has is I think you have to put greedy Williams back in the conversation at ten because I mentioned yesterday peer to sear was the corner. I wanted the Broncos to get because of his size. And now, you have a five foot ten corner on one side, and you have a five foot less than ten on the other side with Chris Harris. You gotta get some size in that cornerback room, and greedy Williams has that. Doesn't have that that tackling skill. But again, if we're if we're saying, Mike, Mon checking companies should coach up Khanna McGovern. Why shouldn't the Broncos coaching staff like at Donna tells specifically coach up, greedy Williams? So I think he is back in the mix at ten and maybe a better fit right now than de'andre Baker would be because the Andre Baker is a similar size to Kareem Jackson, two eight six zero zero four six your thoughts on the Broncos additions and the additions they have not made or could not make coming up next. We'll get grant Mitch thoughts on free agency. That is after only we take a look at your Tuesday afternoon commute.

"If you're coming onto personnel. The Texans wanna stay in base. They wanna stay with us. Three linebacker. So that kinda helps them, hey, they don't they don't take. None. I mean, I'll take it. But Cunningham's goading coverage and McCain's going coverage, right and mercilus is a pass rusher teams, very tiles. They're still trying to figure out what they are in big time though. So what you're going to see is you're gonna see that you're gonna be outside corners Kareem Jackson in Jonathan Joseph green Jackson's gonna kick inside to nickel. They're going to bring in cherise. Right. Who was the weak link in that in that defense in outside corner? And then they're going to add Andre hall as a third safety. They'll have Zac Cunningham at linebacker, and then they might sub out on interior linemen. Four Whitney mercilus who blitzes sixty nine percent of the time on pass plays. And that's tell by the way mercilus is in there. He's probably coming if McKinney. Yes. Holder in their their dropping mercilus once was a couple years ago a linebacker and still technically like a line backer. I'm sure pro boating he'd be called a linebacker. He's an inch he rushes off. So as far as the rest of the secondary goes when Kareem Jackson kicks injuries cherise right comes in. I mean, that's that's the reason for me right there that they. Rank the twentieth for opposing dog versions, and it's largely been because of the issues at nickel before that. They're trying to compensate by kicking in Corrine Jackson as seventy five point eight quarterback rating win targeted. Jonathan Joseph will leak some yards. But he has a seventy six point one quarterback rating with targeted these loud two touchdowns. He's grabbed two interceptions though, cherise, right? When he's in. That is the guy that we're talking about here. Four touchdowns allowed on the season. One hundred nineteen point eight quarterback rating. Look Honey badger can be real volatile and coverage to as much as we love him. And just read hasn't been perfect. So there are areas and matchups in which you can win and as the linebackers go attacking McKinney on the these the bigger thumper type rather than the lengthy speed guy. Like a guy like Zach Cunningham, right, right? When they're dropping McKinney into coverage, regardless of whether or not he's the Mike or he's right wipe rating as SAMA their Willer opposite. They're trying to draw him middle the field underneath a tight end or a slot release. It's just see underneath that guy. Take away. The quick intermediate heads. Because that lets them protect that area covers two which makes sense installations that Tampa to idea they're not dropping him all the way down the middle of the field. That would be dumb. But he's quickly bailing to that area. And you'll see on play action. The Texans linebackers some of the best coach plash in linebackers. We've ever seen. Not okay. We've ever seen like this year. Like, obviously plash is very effective when using tunnel action second highest rate in the NFL coined NFL matchup on ESPN, and even think Nick foles, you see it even more frequently in my opinion, you're gonna get McKinney dropping, and then even when it's Cunningham, they'll do it less frequently, but it's very often just dropping underneath that route. And I think that's why you're gonna really struggle with Zach ertz in breaking sit route across the middle of the Zakar. It's five steps have across the middle. That stuff the Texas are very oriented on taking away. Now, if you're going to be uncover four you're gonna have the outside presents, especially when it's coming out of the slot because earth is going to be able to release him the slot collision the curl curl defender who. Whoever it is you're getting there, and he's gonna be able to get that quick outside release. You might be seeing a lot of outside the numbers games from Philadelphia, which will probably move us away. From those double wing says we.

"Guests this week Kareem Jackson of Texans and Calvin Ridley of the falcons rap sheet. Jackson a nice year. Yeah. You Texans who are in the midst of a six game winning streak in top the AFC, south hats off to Bill O'Brien and then being patient. Shawn Watson becoming one of the better young quarterbacks in this league. Third down to for the Cowboys from the thirty one Prescott along the left. Tash gets the shotgun. Snap rolls, right votes. It out to Beasley and let him to pull the he was open at the. Thirty five on the near sideline and Prescott. Just missed. The second missed pass tonight for Dak Prescott took the words right out of my mouth. He had Zeke Elliott for touchdown which may come back to haunt them. Earlier in the game on a simple sprint, right? Every high school team in the country at sprint right for the ball in the flat. He overthrew Beasley who was open. Chris Jones to punit away golden Tate back and it's a fake. I snap it to the outback plowing forward. It's a first down to the thirty four yard line. Jeff. He got the snap and the safety takes it ahead for the first down. Jeff heath. The upback gets the snap. And he goes right up the middle and gets the first he pushed trae Sullivan backwards for the first down. Yup. Direct snap in just wedge blocking up front and the eagles played too high. They weren't expecting that. How about Dallas talk about? I'm talking about a conservative game plan. They tried to go forward fourth and one on their own forty on the last possession. But had a penalty a fake a punt. And and get away with it three nothing. Ballgame new set of downs Cooper in motion from left to right Prescott under center fakes. The gift pressure comes hit as he throws sets. The screen Elliott at the thirty five Elliott at the forty breaks one tack on his down at the forty six yard line a cab. You know who made to key block on that Zack Martin back on the field back on the field. What a huge lift for the Cowboys to get Zack Martin back after the injury that looks like he may be on the shelf for a little while. He's such a tough guy. I anticipated him coming back that's his mentality. As you mentioned. Earlier hasn't missed start in his five year career. So now that offense of line back to where it started with Martin at right guard first and ten at the forty six yard the forty seven yard line rather for Dallas Prescott under center. Three step drop looking left throwing catches Baid at midfield and down at the eagle. Forty nine yard line is don't Scholz the rookie from Stanford with just his second catch of the year Douglas on the tackle with now. They've got a rotation of four tight ends way. M- had twenty catches on the year. You know, Blake jar win is mostly a block or Rico gathers is the the college basketball player they're trying to talk into being a high level tight in that hasn't happened yet. And then of course, they drafted Dalton Schultz in the fourth round last second at six of the eagle forty nine traditional I formation with Prescott under center on second down toss. Play with flags down Elliott looking to the right side and Elliott gets a yard to the forty eight yard by well defended by the eagles. Brandon Graham makes the stop and we'll wait see about the flu. Flag, which is looking at least initially it may be against the eagles. But we'll see. Nope. Now, they're gonna point towards Dallas. Rouget? She'll grew Jay hill. Set a nice edge there and Graham cleaned it up. You've been shift. Illegal shift illegal motion offense, Moore five penalty second out Noah Brown. Just back on the active roster for the first time. We went on I r with a hamstring injury. After camp came back to practice November. First. Noah Brown flag for five. So they've really revamped this wide receiver core for Dallas. You make the big trade giving up a first round pick to get Amari Cooper from the raiders Noah Brown. Come back off. I are Lance nor comes off practice squad this week activated. So three different wide receivers in the left days tape on Austin out with injury. So a subtraction. From that group. Second eleven at the forty six screen past Gallup right side, midfield down to the forty five of the eagles to yards short of the first down. He picks up nine before. Jordan Hicks could make the stop and it brings up another third short for the Cowboys seven and a half remaining in the first half. Three nothing Dallas, and Michael gal guy outside a gal outside of Amari Cooper that could make a play. The third rail mic acknowledge state mentioned earlier, he's got some juice. He could make people miss down almost nine hundred yards. Cowboys for six on third down this Dr stayed alive with the fake punt now third and two at the eagle Forty-five leading three nothing to receivers to the left of the line Cooper wide to the right shotgun. Snap comes into Prescott. Eagles bring pressure. Fires left side. Caught. By Beasley, the pass a little more target. This time Kobe's Lee makes the catch and out of bounds at the eagle forty will. The I doubt Maddox out there on the coverage. Excellent execution by deck in Colby's Lee. The eagles brought seven people with zero governors meeting the four receivers that were out all were man to man with no help just a simple flat route, but along throttle from the opposite ash, he put it on. Six thirty five remaining in this first half. Cowboys three eagles nothing. Two receivers to the right of the line with Cooper wide to the left Prescott stopping his left foot along the left hash gets the waist-high shot and snap drops to throw the pocket folks down the left sideline who all caught up to that football showing the speedy started to separate from Douglas. But the ball just about four and a half too far from Cooper to catch up to it. But you gotta make that throw with the NFL Amari Cooper. I was happened to be watching him. He made he wanted the line of scrimmage. He created separation away from resort Douglas who was in press coverage. He beat them off the line of scrimmage had about a yard and a half of separation Dakyns got gotta make that throw. Ezekiel Elliott will motion from the left side of the backfield. Three receivers to the right side. Veasley Gallup Hearns shotgun snap. The give is to Elliott. Big hole to thirty-five, Elliot. Thirty stays on his feet at the twenty scrambles down inside the Ted finally losing his balance at the eight Kiel Elliott, put on a superman Cape and took flight picks up thirty two and its first and goal cowboy he's feeling it. He's feeling it in that entire offense of line feeds off of him. He made it through the line. Josh sweat is getting snaps at defensive end. He got pinned inside. He got into the secondary with nobody around the mid leapt over the free safety. Look like a high hurdler. Seven carries forty six yards Brown in motion. First and goal at the eight yard line Elliott the single back play action Prescott rolling right now. He's going to run Prescott. Got a block them Elliott at the five and shoved out of bounds before he got to the pylon Prescott. What's the words as he walks away Fletcher Cox and Chris long both with some aggressive contact after he had stepped out at the three yard line. But they didn't know he had stepped out of the three toll caught the three in its second a goal. And I like that play by Prescott you're in the red zone. Don't take any chances throwing the football. They're now showing a replay here and the fans think that he stepped out of bounds a lot earlier the net. They market in between the three and four yard line. Second goal to three play clock is at three play clock at two o'clock at one and a challenge has been flown on the sideline. Doug Peterson wants to challenge the spot that Prescott went out of bounce. So they're going to challenge the spot here. As to where Prescott is along the sideline. They marked him in between the three and four. John perry. Chatting with eagles headman. Doug peterson. Seventeen and five here at home since taking over a couple years back. Not includes playoff wins wall conversation about this challenge to. Not under two minutes and a half. So it's certainly a challenge will play challenge. The previous play at the runners stepped out prior to where he was ruled out about will review the play this close shave instant.

"Was the greatest human being on the planet. Derek jeeter in your life. What else you got? I'm fresh out. Yeah. I would say Hello, congratulations. Yeah. Are you going to break the touchdown record this year? Can't say I mean, this is a one at a time league. You're at Cameron Jordan early on it. But he's a camera. Jordan, just like, what do you mean? There was doubt. What are you only play ten games? What do you? What do? You mean? Ryan Fitzpatrick came in through for nineteen thousand yards on us in week one. What do you mean? There was doubt. Who said there was doubt? What do you? What do you mean? My Thomas put us in the half field situation when we were up by ten what are you talking about? But then when I asked him about what's going on in your team when how just wanted to time just take one game time just gotta take one game. The Rams that was an I'm not going to put any more on ramps. Instead, it's just one of them. You know, what I mean like see can't say to somebody are you gonna break the record? Is something he's thinking about. The way to come in through. Let's void the nickname stuff. The patch? Will I think we already texted it to them? I know any shot it down. But he's excuse me. Excuse me. There's a difference between a text there is no tone. There's no tone. There's no tone in text. It's atonal. It's an atonal way of communicating. He's it It can can you? you can you just read his response because I think the tone here is pretty clear I texted him. Let me get this up here just to bring it all full circle. And I know that you all appreciate me as a friend and compatriot, I know, and that's why I'm resigning. To sway. I understand. I have your best winters. Producers don't bring it up best interest in mind. Hey, man. It's rich Eisen. What would you think of a new nickname of the patch role? You know, a play on the nickname of the natural. You can be honest. He writes back hod. No. I don't think I liked that one tire h is understand. But but here I gave him the opportunity to be honest. That's pretty honest. That's not my best shot. Rich, text texting is an atonal method of communication sometimes life. You only get one shot. You had yours you failed. I understand where do you come up with Showtime who came up with that? I I think. Yeah, I think that was a family when when did it happen? Unlike what moment was it? What is was it at high school moment? Was it a a Y S O moment? I don't know. I'm just saying, I know we're just saying also. I'm gonna find out. Okay. But in doing so don't bring up the Pattro. Would you take Mahomes over Mario? And what? You had such Mario to hate to kick off, by the way and every. Come on. Like, I said, I just got to see more, man. You heard Kareem Jackson say here that Dak and mariota are similar quarterback can run out very similar. They're both not franchise quarterbacks. One of them's wanna play off game. While Mark Sanchez has four and he's out of the league for the moment. The return of the Sanchis, by the way, speaking of New York sports, there is in all time Yankee on the hall of fame ballot for the very first time, we will discuss that. We also have an hour number three Jerry Jones. What he said last night. There's one sound that I have yet to play on the show. That's coming up. Also, not one but two National Hockey League stories because there's nothing more disposable in the NHL than a coach and. Be careful what you say in over. Oh my gosh. There's a there's a whole by the way great fantasy team. Name. Ottawa kerfuffle is a whole autoworker Fussell going on right now. But that's all bearing the lead on me asking Patrick Mahomes. Just how influential Derek was on his life. When they met maybe that one time. Dongpo? He's afraid he's calling. He's just watching this last segment in Kansas City, you'd say something better to do Patrouille. No jeeter just please agree to that our three coming up. Hey, it's Adam Corolla pay. "Honesty is kinda Tope apparent for a guy like that. Because he's a threat guy. You know, he can throw the ball and he can run. So. All eleven guys definitely have to you know, be ready to do their job. You know, you had to keep them in the pocket, and you just try to make one dimensional. But in terms of ranking them as far as the guys that we've seen issue. You know, obviously Brady, you know, we all know what Brady what type of guy Brady's type is. You know, he's obviously, you know, the number one guy, but. I'll say him in mariota's, you know, kinda similar guys both guys running through. So our those guys right around the same, you know in my eyes anyway, 'cause it's it's almost the same. When you preparing for those guys. Okay. So let's talk Kareem Jackson few more minutes left with you, sir. You're from Georgia. Yes. You go to Alabama. Yes, sir. K how did that happen because Nick Sabin just arrived is that how walk me through how you Alabama. So while stores, so I was just coming back from a visit at Maryland and went to fort union military academy out of high school. I was a mid Miyagi. So I was looking to enroll in college, you know, in the spring. So just came back from Maryland. You know, my mind I was like, you know, what Maryland started for the spring yet. So, you know, it's probably be my best option. So get a call their same night. I come from Maryland coast saving. He said look we've already started school here. But I can still get you in. He had just got the job at outta Bama. So I was I to Miami this left Miami had just got the job. Maybe like a week prior to this conversation that I was having with him. So he's no out doing recruiting news on the road and stuff. So is okay. I can still get you in the thing is I'm gonna need you to come. You know, see how you like it look around. But you gotta come tomorrow. So this was I just love marrying in Maryland Sunday. So I go immedi metal private outpour. You know, he's going out recruiting stuff. Then co smart goes Kirby smart jumps in in a car with me in my my high school coach ended up taking. My parents had to work that day. So it's me Mars goes. And your smart we drive out of the Bama look around and in my hands. And man, this is where I wanna be in. I was in class in next day. So from Sunday to have any conversation with them going to look around campus that Monday, and I was in class Tuesday. No clothes. No nethon. I just they just put me in the dorm rooms gave me a couple swit- soups. I was in the dorm room. And then finally that weekend. I went home and got the rest of my things in man. The rest is history. So saving calls you come back from Maryland. And the current coach Georgia is the one drove with you and your high school coach to Tuscaloosa, you lay is in the place. I'm coming here. You're in class with your belongings still back home, everything back home had a couple of sweatsuits my high school coaching taking me to WalMart. Got me. Lou lou. Some sheets stuff like that for my dorm rooms toiletry items. And that was it. I was in class the next day. And then you're national champion a couple years later Nassau ten four star recruit where you four star recruit. What was saving like what was walked me through the first speech? You heard from Nick saw he liked the what I remember to this day. He was saying he just kept saying, you know, if we're going to do this. We gotta do it like and it's going to happen fast. But is like, you know, he's kept saying like, no it's gonna work out for the best. You know, it's going to be a great situation for us. And you know, you're going to have a great chance to, you know, come in and compete in and get a star in job early. So came in. I was able to go through spring. "But for me, a an observer as viewer that Sunday night game with Dallas, it's drug. I mean that was a hard hitting affair. We all know desha got beat up and it, but you guys were laying the wood in that game. It just struck me that you looked like a different team in that game. Would you agree with that? I would think so I would think so you know, you're one in three came off your first win of the season in stay rivalry kinda bring something else out of your. So, you know, Houston versus Dallas, you know, you got ton of fans, you know, and both sides, so. Definitely definitely bring something no side of as a team. And you know, just wanted to go in in in in educating in in do the things that we need to do to get a win. And you know, he was able to do it. It was a it was a tough game. It was able to pull that one. Also, what was it like from your vantage point watching de'andre Hopkins? Go on that over time catch and run to essentially win that game, man. The great just to see him in the things he did that game. It's kinda scary though, as a as a defensive players on the sideline counter watching him, and and his hands are so big to the point where you never took the ball. So he's just kinda running with it. You know, just holding it out like a loaf of bread rice, spin moves been moving them like this whole onto just hold on to it. But that's what he does. That's the type of is you know, he's a great player great receive in his game. So no just kinda is a lot of fun to sit there and watch them on a on a week to week basis. Corrine Jackson here on the rich Eisen show you as a defensive unit earlier. In that game. Where you surprised the Dallas did not go for it on fourth down and punted the ball away. I was a surprise was planning some tough defense that game. So me, but you didn't think in your head after that third down. Okay. We're gonna have to stay out here and defend a fourth thanking about a year would definitely going to have to get a stop here. Especially the way the game was going close game. You know? Close defensive game. Also, kind of thing and you hit. All right. Well, we definitely going to have to get a stop here on fourth down. But you know form the started play field position. You know that school to all right? I'm gonna turn you into an analyst and part of the pop Rhonda here on your by week Kareem Jackson. After the Monday night game. We just saw last night where the titans your competitors in the AFC south kind of just laid it on put the Bank thing on Dallas in their building is Dak Prescott a franchise quarterback in this league. I think so I think so no, I mean, you had a great year last year in every year, you know, brings different challenges, you know. So I mean, sometimes guys are going to struggle by the end of the day. You know, it's all about you come out. You know, you come onto that whole. So for him. You just gotta go back to work and continue to improve each and every week. You know, that's what it's about. That's what this league is about. So I think so he's a guy, you know, he's proven that. He can make all the throws on the field. So on all about standing out in continue to fight. Well, I mean in this regard. 'cause I know you don't want to disrespect them either. I'm looking at your quarterbacks Brady. These are the guys you had to prepare for this Brady. Mario to ally. Manning Andrew luck Dak. We'll take buffalo out of the equation right now because they're All all right, right, sir. sir. Integrate, but they've got rookies, and obviously their situation is a is a particular type of fire right now. Then you have Bortles the Miami game was Osler amazing that you had to face him. And then Denver where does Dak rank in terms of the quarterbacks that you had to analyze throughout the week and you were concerned about putting your helmet and pads ongoing and play a game..

"Seventeen six consecutive three after starting on three. Okay. A big misfield goal at the end of the Broncos Texans game gave the Texans a six consecutive win once upon a time owned three now six three on their by week, which means the pride of making Georgia able to spend some time here in Los Angeles with us from Houston Texans ninth season in the National Football League. Pro Bowl cornerback Kareem Jackson. Good to see you, sir. Thank you. Thank you. Good to see us. Well, so how does what was their turning point in actual moment in a game where you own realized during the preparation of a week after going on three that you saw maybe this happening for your team will as a team we kind of feel we were close because. Does three losses. You know? We lost three laws about five and lost by seven. So we kind of fill. We wanted to please away from you know, turning those losses to win. So now, we just you know, on the receiving end of making, you know, making those place and doing it. We have to do it in terms of executing a game plan, and, you know, getting stops on third down just little things, you know, parents to the small details kinda, you know, boosted us in the right direction. So we can kind of get those winds in a in a locker room when your own three. I mean, who is helping keep things together. We've got a great group of guys, you know, some great leaders tire JJ, you know, to Sean and the under, you know, got a group of guys who's all kinda stayed together. You know, continue to stay beat about things like said, I mean, it's just one or two plays here. Now, we felt like we were very very close. So, you know, guy group a group of guys like that? You know, you can you can definitely get the thing. Turn around. We did. Well, I mean Tyronn you mentioned tiring, Matthew Kareem. He's he's new to three losses. Three games in. Right. He he was walking around the Texans locker room. Yes leader. Yeah. Definitely, you know, got plays with a lot of passion. You know? He brings a ton of that to the game each and every day, you know, just his his whole approach. You know? I mean, if you guys if anybody knows her, you know, no, how you know where you came from you know, LSU and the things that he'd been through guys lot a ton of passionate. He wears on this leave. So no just been around him on a day-to-day basis. He always, you know, very very positive. He definitely definitely kept Kip. Everybody know mentally focused on what on the goes. We had at hand. And you know, it was able to get some things around tell me what just to show on Watson's like, what's he like, very laid back, very laid back alone. He just doesn't say monkey. He he he's almost like a kid. You know? I mean, obviously, he's young. But. Just kind of being around him. You know, es all smiles lows, listen to music, you know music, but he turn a different rep rap music, but he cares herself. Like he's been in a game about ten ten or twelve years in terms of preparation, you know, turns up a practice and just being around him is always positive energy from them. So, you know, I think as great, you know, we have a quarterback like that certainly after the years at the revolving door that you had at that position. Right, right. Definitely definitely could seen attorney guys come and go, but even within games career thing within game. So China guys come and go, but he'll definitely if beautiful longtime Kareem Jackson here on the rich Eisen show. So now six three once upon a time. Oh in three. What are you guys talking Super Bowl in that? There's always the go. That's what we work towards for other words, do you actually say those words will say we get a time play at a time. We get it. Time. You know, there's there's always the ultimate goal before us. We just want to tell you the play at time game at a time week at a time practice at a time, and you know, continue because as a team. Well, I know you you didn't particularly pinpoint a moment in the Texans season where things turned around..

"Hit from Sunday. Here is cornerback Kareem Jackson of the Houston. Texans against Denver watch. This. Lindsay. Jackson. I love the screaming. Great to have you on the show. Corinne. You're one of the guys that likes to hit you. You're a corner that likes to hit definitely definitely kind of gives me going early in a game. If I can come up and make some tacos early and like, I say just kind wakes me, oh kind of gives me going. So I definitely loved it. You know, you've been playing with the Shawn Watson now and you've gone through a lot of quarterbacks. Right. And I love the Sean out of college Nick Sabin faced him twice had six weeks both times and couldn't stop him. Obviously. He's he's an athlete what we can see that stuff. But when did you know when you saw him at practice? Okay. This is the guy I'll say his first camp to someone that throws. He was making the decisions he was making a lot of times younger guys kind of hesitant to make certain throws. But he's never hesitant in in in what he wants to do once, he makes his mind. He he fires a ball right away. So I count Dr it was real impressive for me. So that was probably when I realize, okay. The he's going to be one of the great ones. What what's he like as a guy, very laid back doesn't say much just always listening to music, but he he's a he he's definitely a wanted a greater leader. Is that we have in our locker room because he does it mostly, by example. But like I said don't say a whole lot all action with him. So Marcus Peters is a great corner. Right. He had a bad Sunday. Right. He got beat on a play in after the game. He was as honest as I've ever heard a cornerback who got sizzled. Let's play the tape standup. I can play better planning these last couple of weeks, and.
