"The hypocrisy of racism in America is mind-blowing to me. We live in a world of complete hypocrisy. The Dilbert creator, which is the cartoonist, Scott Adams. I discover Scott Adams because he must have did some kind of drawing and then Kanye tweeted him out and I started watching him and he seemed like a guy that have a level of intelligence that I'm interested in. However, I don't know if this is a podcast or not, I just saw the clip somewhere, somebody posted. And Scott Adams said, probably one of the most controversial statements that I've heard from a white person probably since slavery. Maybe not that bad. But I think what he said was incredibly controversial. But the question that I have for everybody's watching for everybody that is watching and listening was inaccurate about the things that he said, or is it just people don't want to hear it? Was he telling the truth? Or is it just that people don't want to hear it? The reason he's getting his backlash. Now I'm going to play the clip of what he said about white people staying away from black people. And then I'm a methodically go through and give a perspective. I want you to listen very carefully as to what he said, then I'm going to play a series of clips that should either confirm or expose or confirm that you're not a hypocrite or expose that you are a hypocrite when you listen to it. Now, I know about y'all perfect. I'm really saying this for somebody else that may slip and fall and stumble across the show. If you believe that what Scott Adams said is wrong and then the subsequent clips that I play, you think that that is fine that is okay, then we have a problem. If you think everybody wrong with everybody right, then I think maybe we may agree to disagree, but at least you are consistent.

The other was liberals and say, look, if you end up with a president desantis, you're going to hate the guy. But you're going to hate the guy within normal parameters. If you worry about desantis isn't going to burn down the country because somebody thinks you think somebody is being unfair to him. If desantis loses the general election, which by the way, I don't think you would do. But if he did, he wouldn't go off on a January 6th sort of thing. He wouldn't go off on these crazy tirades insisting that Venezuelan hackers and there's Chinese bamboo in the paper for the ballots of Arizona. He wouldn't latch onto every crazy conspiracy theory that we came down the pike. He would never dabble in QAnon, right? So even though you wouldn't like desantis, my dear liberal Friends, you would go back to life would go back to normal. You wouldn't feel like there's a chance that somebody's trying to start a second Civil War. Because he's having a tantrum.

And then when he by the time he got to 2020 Trump was really, in my opinion, before the COVID, Trump was at like $1500 a share. Then after COVID, during the 2020 election, Trump was down to probably like $1100 a share. Which I think he was popular enough to win the presidency, but you know how 2020 went. And then I'll investigations probably got him down to about a $1000 a share. And then when he went out against Ron DeSantis, he went down, he went down to about $500 a share. After coming out against Ron DeSantis in such an epic time of Ron DeSantis his success in his career, a Republican success and then I believe that when he did his speech, he think he went back up from $500 a share to about $800. You need to be around 12, 1300 right now to win. So he went up to about $500 a share. And then he met with Kanye West. And a white supremacist. It went all the way down to 500 back down to $500 a share. And then what he don't realize is that him coming out against Brittany griner, he just probably went down to four 50 a share. I don't know why people are not advising Donald Trump. Stay away from these issues. We'll talk about it. You need to be the president. You need to be presidential. You need people on both sides to vote for you. I don't.

California Reparations Could See Newsom Give Black Americans $223k
"Gavin Newsom, his reparation committee has recommended giving that money out to the 2.5 million black people that are people that identify as black or African American in the state of California, totaling $559 billion. $559 billion. Now, if you look at the numbers, this exceeds the entire expenditure. Let me make sure I get the number correct, 'cause I want to make sure that we on the same page with this. It says the 5 $569 billion is more than the entire state expenditure in 2021, nearly 6.5% of California residents are identifying as black or African American. So for a 6 and a half percent of people, they're willing to give out more than the entire state's expenditure of, I don't know how many people live in California. Man, this is my problem with reparations. Because they're not doing this because they care about you. They don't want to give reparations because they honestly believe that they're going to write a wrong. That's not what they're doing. I want people to understand this. If you have not been able to generate wealth, somebody giving you money is not going to help you generate wealth.

"Make of the Kanye West permanent ban? What's that before we get into this Eric holder situation? Well, we'll have to see whether it's actually permanent. I mean, there is a special advantage to having a direct line to Elon and it's clear that Kanye or VA or whatever he's called. He has that direct line. And so I think deep down Elon, just like Jack Dorsey, nobody believes in sort of permanent punishment without any opportunity for redemption. So we'll just have to see how it plays out as to the policy itself. I mean, it certainly contradicts Elon's previously stated preference that basically we go by what legal speech is. So assuming that Kanye said nothing illegal, which I don't think he did. He shouldn't be banned for it. But so practical matter, we live in a practical world, Elon is far more practical, I think, than a lot of people imagine. And it could very well just be the practical messy reality that Elon's done a tremendous amount for Twitter already. And he needs to offer a couple sacrifices to the sensors in order to keep up what he's been doing at least at these initial stages. And I think we can all probably agree that Ye was certainly certainly testing limits and making things difficult for Elon. So maybe it's just as a matter of practical reality, that's what that's what Elon had to do, even though it violates his stated preference of just saying, okay, if it's legal speech, it should be allowed on Twitter at least for American users.

"One of the tricky things about wrapping our heads around Kanye West is that that story is constantly being recontextualized. Yeah, absolutely. And something that we do see a genius is this stream of consciousness by which he always seems to operate and which is always seemed to sort of inform his career. And I think that aspect is important to point out because that even makes it even more challenging to Eva rapper, mine's around like, what we're even seeing in the documentary, especially toward the tail end of the career that part three tries to touch on, but doesn't really quite fully get at. What the documentary covering from this perspective of, I'm just trying to be here for Kanye as a friend, you see them acknowledge the fact that perhaps he might have once called slavery a choice by 2018, and that was in that interview with TMZ, but you don't see them try to square fully the man who said slavery was a choice with the artists who has contended with and sort of use the Thirteenth Amendment as sort of a rallying cry for not only just his music but his entire career, the way that he is put himself given his underdog mentality to not just his music, but to entering fashion boardrooms to like pursuing all these endeavors is because of years of slavery that he then tries to completely disregard by 2018. So it's really hard also to even sort of wrap your mind around that and like the genius documentary offers some glimpse into that. Especially contend with it over the span of an hour and a half as part three is, I mean, it's really dizzying. I think it was just more so a headache and a reminder that of all that we've tried to understand about Kanye. And I don't know if that's a good thing yet. It feels like a doozy as of this moment. Yeah, I mean, it's like, no matter what happens outside of the music, that's going to be brought in. And he's always done that, but it was relatable. I can't, you know, relate to wanting to beat up Pete Davidson. I can't relate to some of the topics of class that he's now seemingly obsessed with, you know, when he met with Trump. He kept telling him like, we're American industry guys. And I'm like, that's where you're at with it now, right?.

He's known as a beat maker and just trying to get the world to hear him for how he wants to be heard. That stuff is really interesting. Right, right. Well, first of all, Stephen, I know you bring up the Rockefeller meeting as to say, this is Kanye at his most relatable. I don't know if this is a testament to me getting older, but who I related to the most were the executive assistants. Trying to do their job on the phone and all of a sudden, if you were an executive assistant trying to do your job and this man walks into your office and plays you music that you did not make an appointment. Yes, I have been Kanye, but oh my God, I was like, I don't know what I would have been able to do in that situation. And I think maybe it's a testament to him being relatable of course because we've all been in that position where we just have to believe in ourselves. But I think that also separates Kanye from the rest of us, which is how self possessed he has been to get him to this point and in this case it is a compliment because that self belief is required to get to where he is today. So I'm not knocking that at all. I was just like, as a mere mortal, I was like, oh my God, what is happening? For me, more relatable was like, his retainers. That was like really the best supporting actor of the first act. No matter where he was, just like where am I retainers? I got to check this out. And the fact that he's talking to other musical giants with his retainer and I was just like, was it Scarface? It was just like doing on the table. Are these had to be like, get that off the table? That was in your mouth. Right. As a kid who grew up with containers, I was like, yo, like this is why this was the guy I fell in love with. Before he was round through the wire, he rapped through some wires, you know what I mean? Once you get to that third part, all of a sudden it's trying to be 2005 to the present, it becomes a really shapeless mess. In a way, it is kind of an interesting metaphor for Kanye's career, right? You have such clarity early on. That first bunch of albums have such clarity to them. They're flawed, but they're flawed in the most interesting possible ways. And then eventually there is just this runaway freight train. And how do you even convey everything that's going on? It's such a whirlwind, and you know, we've been talking about Kanye West for a while now. You know, we're talking about the traumas that affected his life and the losses that affected his life. I mean, but along the way, there have been people who've really been hurt by his behavior, and we haven't even been able to start to unpack that. It was really interesting to see cuda and chique tried to create a full circle moment of part three, which as you said, basically picks up from what 2005 onward and tries to frame the making of Jesus king as sort of a full circle moment in that he's trying to invoke the Kanye West of Jesus walks. And now Cooney and chike are back into the full back to documenting his life..

"The giant looked in the mirror and sees nothing. The loss of her is clearly a massive, massive tipping point trauma in his life. I did want to talk a little bit about the documentary, which, you know, when you hear there is a four and a half hour Kanye documentary. It's an interesting but very, very flawed piece of work. What did you guys think of the documentary? So what's really interesting about this documentary, what I'm at once fascinated by intrigued by, but also frustrated by, is how the director's cootie and chica sort of operate within his life. Because it seems very true to their experience and that they act as the really concerned friend who want to be there as a presence, but don't really know what to make of that otherwise. And I think that also kind of speaks to, I guess, the isolation and his career at this moment because like you said, Steven, like fame and success, especially to the extent that Kanye has experienced very, very few of us are going to understand that in each other's lifetimes. There's a reason why Kanye invokes Michael Jackson as a point of comparison because he might have been the only other person to really have understood that. The way that this documentary operates is that like, okay, we get to see Kanye's career grow and evolve and we get to see how all these different traumatic events sort of play out into his life and fast forward through a bunch of it as the director sort of lose contact with him, but maybe it's because they felt it wasn't their place or maybe because it kind of speaks to how we as a society don't know how to reckon with or we don't have the literacy to compare and what it's like to live with bipolar disorder. Any of these things, it seemed like the film didn't really quite know how to venture into these particular subjects. But I think as fans, it's also easy to kind of get frustrated by that. And as pop culture fans, we want to know more. We're super curious about this stuff. So that's neither like a rave or a pan or anything like that. It's just really fascinating to consider. I had a lot of hope, you know, obviously what it came out. Especially as journalists were like, great. Maybe we'll get both sides of the story. I felt like for a while, we were all kind of cootie, right? Here we are. We get introduced to this person who we're drawn to because of his drive, his passion, obviously his just undeniable talent, and it's like, okay, well, I'm like when we're at now, let's document this. Let's go for the ride. And so by the time you get to albums like my beautiful dark twisted fantasy, you are just hearing this guy at the top of his game, sonically and as a rapper and as a presence, that is remarkable, but when you're assessing the entirety of his recorded work, the ability to separate the art from the artist feels impossible because the art is the artist. It's happened with some of his earlier stuff, but can you imagine someone covering a recent Kanye West's song? That's true. Yeah, I don't think I'd be able to imagine that at all, Steven. Happy here for it though. For sure. I don't know. The song, I guess. I mean, before we kind of get to unpacking this enormous creative legacy and all the controversies around it, like what are your favorite Kanye works, like that to you captures who he is at his best. For me personally, Steven, that is tricky because I think for much of his career with every single album came sort of an evolution or like a new phase in his career that made it much more exciting that really added to our understanding as Kanye really sort of complicated it. So the Netflix documentary genius is split into three acts, act one subtitled vision, documents his early career as Kanye's struggles to get a record deal, act two subtitled purpose captures the difficult process of recording Kanye's debut album the college dropout and act three subtitled awakening tries to cover everything since 2005 as filmmakers cootie Simmons, and chique oza drift in and out of Kanye's orbit, Kanye's beloved mother donda dies, and the rapper himself behaves more and more erratically. We're gonna get to our thoughts on genius, but we also want to assess Kanye West's career, the rapper and producer has released 11 albums that's counting donda two, which Kanye recently dropped on his own proprietary streaming device, which costs $200. He's won 22 Grammy Awards and been nominated 75 times, including an album of the year nomination this year for donda, but Kanye's career has been mired in controversy. He's feuded with Taylor Swift and Drake. He famously once said George Bush doesn't care about black people during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina at one point he also said slavery was a choice. He was sentenced to two years probation after fighting with a paparazzi photographer. He was an outspoken supporter of then president Trump. He's currently an acrimonious divorce proceedings with Kim Kardashian and he's threatened her boyfriend Pete Davidson. He's also spoken publicly about living with bipolar disorder, as well as opioid addiction. We should note that Kanye West legally changed his name to Ye last year, but we're going to refer to him as Kanye. In this conversation for the sake of clarity. So as you can see, there was a lot to unpack here. Christina, I know you've followed Kanye's career for a long time. And I know you were in Atlanta for one of those stadium shows where he played donda for huge crowds. I want to start out by assessing his body of work. So give me your general thoughts on Kanye's music so far. Oh boy, did you see I was taking deep breaths because it's like, okay, we're writing a book here on Kanye West, but also because there is so much to talk about. I mean, I do think it's fact at this point that Kanye is one of the most influential living figures in hip hop today, most certainly. I would say in general, there is a lot to be nostalgic for. There is a lot to be fond of. Everybody's going to have a different answer as to when it becomes harder to forgive the artists for the sake of the art. So that is my basic summary. I'm so excited to talk about when we first each got into Kanye, though. So, oh man, if we're talking about body of work, there's the college dropout late registration and graduation Kanye that I literally grew up on, right? And as Christina said, he, to me, is one of the most influential people alive. And I think that's a testament to the track record literally that he produced from the gate up till now. And I think Kanye warrants all the flowers that he's gotten up to this point, but now we're trying to make sense of who he is, what he's doing at this point.

I bought it, and now it's like, I hate it, 'cause it's really difficult. And but I'm gonna play it. It's really do. This shit is hard. It's a hard ass game. Is it harder than the joint you just for? Yes. Dark schools, souls games are like the hardest games ever made. They're just ridiculously hard. But it's not cheap hard. It's just you gotta learn how to play. And yeah, this shit is hard. That's all. Sounds like it takes a lot of time. What I was doing with my time when I was sick and still covering fights. But covering all the fights and everything from here at the crib. I caught up on the Kanye Doc. Oh yeah, I did that too. And I was watching, and I was like, wow, looks like we got to talk Kanye again. One of our favorite opening segments. I'm not even waiting for this last one to drop. One because our show is going to be packed anyway. Two, 'cause I feel like I know where this is going. They're not going to surprise me in this third episode. So far, I am pretty, I think what I thought of Kanye what we spoke on the past couple of years on this show is pretty much true in my mind. There is a Kanye with his mother, alive and his life, and then there is a Kanye post when his mother passed. And this gives us a very good glimpse of the Kanye when donda was her. Yeah, I mean, that's absolutely a billion dog. If he didn't lose his mother, we'd be having a different conversation about Kanye West because somebody was going to keep him in check. His mother, my mother's love is something that can't be understated when it comes to building your child's confidence. Now, every child has to be treated differently. You have three kids. You can't treat all your kids the same. You can't discipline them all the same. But donda west knew her son and his, he needed a little bit of gravity to keep him on the ground, but she knew that he was going to float away. Like his brain was like, there was no telling Kanye West no. And so she encouraged them. In a way that was, it was positive reinforcement, but it was positive reinforcement in the way that she knew his lyrics, that's beyond just blind support. That's Beyoncé and your kid, you can do anything. She knew her son's lyrics. She was very confident in her son, but she kept them grounded. And he loved his mother and his mother loved him. Once she passed away, obviously, as we've seen, he's gone off the hinges. You think any of this stuff would have happened if his mother wasn't there? No. I personally, I don't think so. This whole card Kim Kardashian thing. That marriage probably wouldn't even happen. It was for his mother passing. So watching the documentary, the one thing that I get aside from the mother thing is that I see a lot of people that watch the documentary got super inspired. He wouldn't take no for an answer. He lived out his dreams and you should too. No you shouldn't. Here's why. Oh my God. What a statement. No, don't live out your dreams. Because you have to, you have to be careful about how you position yourself when you're talking about Kanye West because Kanye didn't come to this just wanting to be a rapper and then he forced his way into the game as a rapper. That's not what happened. Kanye rapping was a side hustle for Kanye that he wanted to make his main hustle. His main hustle was making beats and he was really good at it. Granny, he didn't want to just be a producer. He wanted to be a rapper, but his main hustle was making beats. I see so many people talking about, I'm gonna quit my job and chase my dreams. Don't quit your job. That's stupid. Oh no. I'm gonna know. Well, the reason why it's called a hustle is because the hustles what you do outside of your main job. People are a lot of people don't get that. Kanye, his main job was making beach for other people. He wouldn't have made money. Do you want to have been a presence in the game if it wasn't for him making beats? And then he forced his way into being a rapper because at some point it was like, yo, you're going to get these beasts but I'm going to be on them. And you can deny that with Kanye. Now, a lot of people didn't want to see Kanye rap and I've always said Kanye is not a great rapper. He's okay. He's good on his own beats. But the fact remains is that making beasts is what put him on. And I've seen people like just don't let anybody tell you.

Kind of every step of the way with Kanye specifically Kanye's Internet presence, we're constantly asking ourselves what exactly is a performance and what's genuine. And that question only gets thornier when we're talking about a man who is a politely, I'll say concern. With controlling his public image. And I think that's part of why certain segments of the Internet spent a lot of years decades a decade, not really taking his actions all too seriously, kind of looking at Kanye's life as more entertainment than anything else, a performance by a performance artist. Formerly known as Kanye. When we talk about a performance by performance artist Kanye West, I think. You can't have that conversation without talking about the 2008 VMAs, yes. A night that is impossible to forget. And features one of your favorite main characters. It's true. So obviously, we are alluding to the night Kanye West, crashes the stage at the VMAs. Taylor. I'm really happy for you. I'm gonna let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time. That video being single ladies parentheses put a ring on it. The thing about that moment is that he, again. Kanye kind of wasn't wrong. And importantly, that moment does become a meme, along with the moment from 2005 during that benefit, the still of Kanye and Mike Myers is just ingrained in my brain. And the phrase I'm gonna let you finish is just you don't even have to finish it for people to know what you're saying. Were there perhaps more appropriate venues to say Taylor Swift, your video shouldn't have won? Yeah, and he admitted that later. He did. And the thing is at the beginning of his career, his career as a rapper as a producer as an Internet main character as an auteur as a provocateur. A lot of names for yay, mister west. He gained a reputation as a truth teller, willing to speak back to a mostly white music establishment. Whether it was appropriate or not. Which only made his later maga turn so much more disconcerting to watch. But before we get there, we have to talk about what is perhaps the biggest moment in his Internet career. The sentient BBL herself who will never miss she has a BBL. Kim Kardashian baby. She enters the pictures and things take off, rockets of the goddamn moon. I think it's hard to overstate how powerful this union was. Pop culturally. Yes. In 2012, when these two start dating, you combine Kanye West's calling it a rising star seems wrong at this point. He's an incredibly established artist. His risen star with Kim Kardashian influencer one invented the genre of influencing as we now know it. He captures this much broader audience of the Internet because there's nothing that a Kardashian or a Jenner does. That is it fodder for a viral Internet news cycle. And that's by design. Thank you, mommy. But now Kanye is a part of that. Yes, and he to be clear is fully aware of the power that he is creating by merging his fame with Kim's. He was obsessed with Kim for years before they actually got together. Totally, it really does feel almost medieval like royal in the way that these families combined. Yeah. Very York, very war roses. No, I see exactly you chose the perfect reference for me and you know it. I know. To give you a brief rundown of the war of roses of our era, there's the bound two video. He released starring topless Kim. The wedding in 2014, there's the Vogue cover from the same year, and then there's the portmanteau kimye, and I don't really know how much Chelsea you need to say beyond that. Okay, but I do think anecdotally, we must talk about the time that Kanye West trapped Kenny G sex. Curly hair. Kenny G in a room full of roses for Valentine's Day as a gift. And also the time that they had a kid and named her northwest and the Internet just lost its mind. I feel like more people cared about the name of Kim and Kanye's first child than they did about the royal babies. Is that inaccurate? Maybe not more than, but certainly to tie back to the earlier comparison we were drawing. The same amount of fervor that one feels for a baby that potentially could become a freaking monarch. One of the biggest moments of their relationship was when Kim was robbed in Paris. This was not quite ten years ago, but in October of 2016, Kim Kardashian then Kim Kardashian west was robbed at gunpoint in her hotel room during Paris fashion week. Which by all accounts, including her own, was absolutely just harrowing and traumatic and really impacted their entire family, which is completely understandable. Of course. The month after Kim was robbed at gunpoint, Kanye ended a concert quite abruptly. But right beforehand, he said, Jay-Z call me, you still in called me, Jay-Z, I know you got killers, please don't send them in my head, just call me. Talk to me like a man. And the next day he was hospitalized, and it was, I think the first time most of the public started to see that he wasn't just this kind of grandiose provocateur who's every move was a bit to get attention. But a man struggling with something. I think it actually is the moment to bring up the old Kanye here, do you think? I think so. I think so. Yes. So obviously the phrase I miss the old Kanye, the lyric hints by Kanye himself at a break in this public persona that many of his followers at the time attributed to the death of his mother, donda west, who died in 2007 from complications due to a botched cosmetic surgery that Kanye had actually paid for. So even before he officially, I believe 2019 reveals that he has bipolar disorder. They're part of his kind of Internet imprint is bound up with this idea that Kanye is experiencing some shit. Whether it's grief or exhaustion or something else, everyone kind of knows there's something going on, but in the 2016 era, I think most people chalked it up to stress over what happened to Kim, which totally fair, however, after that episode, he totally understandably takes this break from public life for a few months, but as we all know where this story is going, Kanye West is a person who can not stay away from the call of the Internet and it's attentions. Hello, my friend here. We've got tons and tons of gossip today. So let's jump right into the shower. Watching quite the weekend. It was quite the weekend I tell you. Lots and lots going and going, so what time is it my Friends? It is a tea time. Kim Kardashian Kanye West lots of drama, Kanye is now saying Kim is quote still my wife. So Kanye, who has been hoping to get back together with his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian is now responding amid the rumors, I think they're a little bit more than rumors that Kim has moved on to date SNL star. Pete Davidson, the rapper. Hasn't spoken out much about the impending divorce since the news broke about their split earlier this year, but that has changed now that a certain comedian called Pete Davidson has been spotted out with his, who he calls still his wife. He appeared on a podcast and he said the following quote, she's still my wife, ain't no paperwork. Kim files for divorce earlier this year. He also addressed he's a strange wife's recent SNL monologue where she expressed pride in west's career and their children but joked she divorced him because of his personality. He went on to say SNL made her say that. And he said he's not devoured, and they wanted her just to say that to get laughs. In fact, he claims he has never ever seen any papers, and they still are not divorced. He added this ain't no joke to me, quote, my kids want their parents to stay together. I want us to be together too. What do you think's going on, Garrett? Well, first, Kanye's dating a 22 year old, right? This is a story that he is. I'll get to that in a minute. I'm not quite convinced, but I mean, there's many things to pull back the curtain on. The story when Kim did SNL was Kanye is helping her out and overseeing all the jokes. And now he's saying, oh, nope. You know, SNL made her say that. Well, if that was the case, why didn't you speak up when she was hosting then Kanye? Like he's kind of playing what we call in sports Monday morning quarterback. You look at the things after the fact and say, well, this is how it is. How come you didn't do it during the fact Kanye? You know, so it's like I'm not the bad guy. They're the bad guys, got even though I had everything to do with everything that I'm talking about right now. My sources are telling me he's just furious about this whole pizza thing. And the painting really isn't as much as we think. Yes, they saw each other several nights here in New York City. They went out to statin island. They went to this private club zero Bond. They're not together together. I'm going to take you to Staten Island. I'd love to get an island. You and I are going to go to companion. I'm going to get the roof. Also next to the window. Beautiful. It will have some vino and some pizza. And then we'll both go back to our own places, which is what Kim and Pete did. They are not together together. They were flirting. I had people inside zero Bond who saw them, and they said she was giggling and laughing. She wasn't holding his hand. She wasn't sitting on his lap, she wasn't kissing him. She's intrigued by him, but they're not actually together. Now this reports today, the Kanye has found a 22 year old model. My sources tell me, that's not exactly true, either Kanye always has a lot of girls around him, member when we thought he was dating arina shank who used to date Bradley Cooper has a baby with Bradley Cooper, that wasn't really quite real either. I'm told that Kanye's doing all this just because he's upset his jealous, he's like if you want to date Pete, I'm gonna get a model. He still wants him back. This is like revenge. It is awkward, because if you look back, maybe I would go a year and a half ago. Pete Davidson had one of those like, oh wow, I'm Pete Davidson in this moment where he's having dinner with Kanye and Jay-Z and in a New York City restaurant. So it's like, it is such a weird and then over the weekend too. I'm sure you saw people fans of Kim's and the whole Kardashian clan. We're looking at Kris Jenner's karaoke party, and they saw little glimpse of blond hair and they were like, Pete was there. You know, I think it is insane how it just can I tell you a theory, I've been thinking about rob shooter and this is just a theory. My theory alone. So as we know, before Kim Kardashian took over a host of SNL for the second episode of the new season. There was the stories that Kris Jenner and Lauren Michaels sat down to have a discussion. You really don't hear Lauren Michael sitting down with Brad Pitt or George Clooney or host of SNL to discuss normally it's an email thing. Part of me thinks that this might be a little bit fabricated of what we're all falling into with Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson. I'm not sure I'd get that far, although he doesn't need permission from SNL from NBC to be on Kim's new reality show, which is on ABC Hulu. It's not on it's not on E which is part of the family. It's on a different network now and he's got a what about his hair? Just his hair. And he was here this weekend, but I did find suspicious and I want your opinion about Garrett is why were there no Kim and Peter jokes on Saturday night? I was waiting for I had the whole weekend update planned out. I'm telling you, rob Schurter, I was envisioning Pete Davidson sitting down, Colin Jost brings a mangoes. So Pete, how is your week? And he goes, you tell me because everybody else knows a guy can't even go get some pizza without being front page news. He did it with Ariana Grande. He did it when he dated Ariana. Engaged to Cheyenne woodley, who is a movie star and Shane Lee. It's like tomato tomahto when I say every other time, I say incorrectly. So shailene actually came I guess to her husband's defense or fiance's defense. By posting this cryptic message because the story was Aaron Rodgers, tested positive for COVID-19. It caused a disturbed because he said he was vaccinated. Turns out he wasn't vaccinated. He took the advice of Joe Rogan. It's a slippery slope from there. But here's what shailene said too. Shailene took to Instagram and then it was kind of it was kind of it was taken away, so then it was like, did it ever happen? But she said, calm sees may bring you peace, but the storms are where you'll find your power. It is very nice. It should be in books. You know, but then it was deleted. So then it got kind of like, are you deleting it? Because Aaron Rodgers told you to are you deleting it because of the backlash you're receiving? Because it's not looking good for Aaron Rodgers right now. It's kind of interesting just to see this all play out right in front of our eyes, you know?
